The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, the birthplace of basketball, offers an immersive experience for fans. The museum showcases the sport's history through interactive displays and a vast collection of memorabilia. Visitors can enjoy shooting baskets, experiencing center-court excitement, and learning about legendary players. The distinctive basketball-shaped building itself is a sight to behold. With over 40,000 square feet dedicated to basketball history, it's an ideal starting point for a day trip in Springfield.
What an incredible experience. The Museum is very beautifully done and tells a beautiful story of how basketball came to be. It is filled with plenty of interactive things for you to do as well as information on the sport. The staff is very friendly and facility is clean. I highly recommend going to the Basketball Hall of Fame. If you are active duty military the ticket is free. Go check out this wonderful piece of history.

Drove 3 hours to visit the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and it was totally worth it! Beautiful museum with so much to see and learn. Bonus: it was super quiet, felt like I had the place to myself. Die-hard basketball fan or not, it's a great experience!
Samantha — Google review
We finally made it to the Basketball Hall of Fame today and honestly… 10/10, highly recommend if you’re even remotely a basketball person (or partnered with one 😂). Dog dad was basically living his best life, and I was out here pretending I understood stats while secretly loving every second of the memorabilia. The best part? They let you actually play on the courts. I fully shocked myself by scoring not once but TWICE, so please address me as “Future MVP” from now on. My legs are absolutely filing HR complaints tomorrow but worth it. It was fun, super interactive, and way cooler than I expected. If you’re looking for something different to do, go. Even if you’re not a hardcore fan, it’s such a unique experience. We’ll definitely be back! 🏀✨

Sure, check out this review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Slam Dunk of a Museum Experience! 🏀 Wow! I just visited the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and it was an absolute blast! From the moment I walked in, I was immersed in the incredible history of basketball. The exhibits are so well done, with interactive displays and amazing memorabilia that really bring the sport to life. I loved seeing all the jerseys, championship trophies, and learning about the legends who shaped the game. The interactive experiences are a highlight – I even got to test my shooting skills! Whether you're a lifelong basketball fanatic or just looking for a fun and engaging outing, this museum is a must-visit. It's truly an inspiring tribute to the game of basketball and James Naismith's vision. I left feeling energized and with a deeper appreciation for the sport. Don't miss it! You'll have a ball! 🎉
Cesar G — Google review
If you're evenly mildly interested in Basketball, this is an amazing spot to visit. So much memorabilia and history of the game, players, and coaches. So much time, love, and passion has been dedicated to curating the exhibits. The staff was super nice and helpful, and they made our experience memorable.
Rocio A — Google review
Amazing experience!! If you are a basketball fan you should definitely go! So much history!! And memorabilia! Also very well organized and clean. We went around noon on a Saturday and was not crowded at all. You get to end your experience by getting on the court and shooting some hoops! So cool!
Michael D — Google review
My son loves basketball and saw videos about this place on the internet so we made the trip from Wisconsin. We arrived right at open and the court to ourselves for almost an hour! (It was October). The original peach basket is cool! The 2nd floor is packed with things like Shaqs shoes, the Kobi experience and booth where you can be recorded with Shaq, Charles Barkley and crew and have the video emailed to you. On the 3rd floor you can see how your hand size measures up to Curry and more and how your height and wingspan measure up to Giannis and more. We felt the prices were reasonable for the experiences you get in a 6 hour day. Food choices onsite are great (subway, cold stone creamery, and Max’s Tavern). I highly recommend going here is you like basketball, age doesn’t matter. The staff was also very helpful and you could tell they loved their jobs.
Jered K — Google review
The Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame was truly an incredible experience to visit. The staff is friendly knowledgeable and professional. The exhibits are well done each curated with beautiful memorabilia and various interactive activities. I enjoyed seeing all the jerseys, championship trophies and learn more about the legends who shaped the game of basketball. 🏀🍀

Springfield Museums is a vibrant complex nestled in a leafy setting, featuring four museums dedicated to art, science, and history. The campus is particularly renowned for its association with Theodor Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss. Visitors can explore the colorful floors filled with familiar cartoon creations of Dr. Seuss and enjoy musical and circus performances on the Quadrangle Green. Additionally, the museum grounds are home to the Dr.
The two art museums at Springfield Museums are world-class, the Museum of Springfield History is amazing and the Dr Seuss Museum is so much fun. The recent Festival of Flowers was outstanding. Love it all! Highly recommend!

One admission to the Springfield Museums gives accesses to five museums of art, history, science, and Dr. Seuss amazing world. Adults: $25 Seniors (60+): $16.50 College Students: $16.50 Youth 3-17: $13 Children Under 3: Free (I think it's free for Springfield Residents.) Great collections of arts and science. The statues in the garden are mostly from Dr. Seuss. Quite nice to walk around and absorb all the information. I wish I can spend 2 days in here to go through everything in detail.

Great group of museums. One price to see them all. The history museum is the best. Didnt know so many firsts came out of Springfield. Free parking. Clean bathrooms. Great gift shop. Very friendly security people at each museum.

This was an amazing place - many museums in one space. One ticket gets you into all of them. Here was so many colorful, cultural exhibits, I loved it.
Theresa J — Google review
This is the main museum among the five. The ticket counter and guest service desks are in this music. This museum is mainly about, evolution, dinosaurs, civilization, space, earth, and science. I loved the space section most. There was a robotic arm to play with to simulate the canadarm in ISS. There’s also simulate of the earth view window from ISS. Also loved the collection of human civilization, how humans spread all over the world starting from Africa. There’s also a big gift shop. Overall this museum is really great for both kids and adults.

We enjoyed the Van Gogh exhibit they have. Definitely worth the trip. The Dr. Seuss Sculpture Garden is amazing, as well as the indoor exhibits!

Museum
Springfield Armory National Historic Site is a significant part of American history, having manufactured firearms for the military for nearly two centuries. Established in 1777 as George Washington's main arsenal during the Revolutionary War, it played a pivotal role in firearm innovation and mass production. The museum showcases an extensive collection of vintage guns spanning two centuries, offering insights into the technological advancements made at the armory.
It's small, but very well laid out, they made good use of the space so it seems larger. The exhibits are well done and everything is clean and meticulous. I'm assuming the funding is good, it's the nicest small museum I've ever been in. Recommend for either the type visitor that wants to go through quickly, or the visitor that likes to take their time, either way could work - we took our time, but you could make it a quick visit if you're short on time, but still want to visit some place. Entry is free. Handicap accessible.
Emily H — Google review
The Springfield Armory NHS is small but well organized, making it easy to explore. There’s a lot of interesting history on old guns and a nice variety of exhibits. The rangers are friendly and helpful, and the gift shop and restrooms are convenient. I also appreciated the many brochures for New England parks. Being on the grounds of a community college was a bit strange. Overall, it’s a neat spot for a quick visit if you’re in the area.
Sam L — Google review
Oh wow yall, awesome experience the displays were amazing, the building was gorgeous and the Rangers were awesome. They did such a good job helping to explain the history. Another awesome American National Site experience!
David R — Google review
This is a great site of American history. There wouldn't be an America if it were not for this armory. Great displays and friendly, helpful staff. If you're a fan of guns, this is your destination. I don't want to gove anything away by posting too many photos. You have to see it all for yourself.
Eric H — Google review
Wonderful, historic National Park with very friendly and helpful staff and it's FREE to park and visit. The history and contribution to the US economy and manufacturing in particular from revolutionary war thru the modern times was amazing. Well worth the visit!!
Pat B — Google review
Incredible museum! A great stop to see the firearms that played an instrumental role in the creation and in maintaining the USA. There are also kids activities to keep those that might not be old enough to understand the museum occupied. Ps. If you are a "firearms enthusiast" you must go and revel in what is there.
Kermit A — Google review
Very nice historical place. The guides are very informative and easy to talk to. You need about three hours to do the entire thing. The community college shares the grounds.

Fairground
The Big E is a massive state fair that brings together the six states of New England for a traditional agriculture celebration. Held in Springfield from mid-September to early October, this century-old tradition features the Avenue of the States, showcasing realistic models of each state's house. The fair offers entertainment, shopping, rides, animals, crafts, and parades representing all six New England states. Even during the off-season, there are activities at the exposition center.
THE BEST!!! A STATE FAIR COVERING ALL NEW ENGLAND STATES!!! For a great time, book a ticket asap, hop on a train or bus and get yourself to Springfield’s Union Station 🚉, from there, a free local bus will take you directly to the big E! If you’re taking the bus back, it’s a good idea to start waiting at the stop at 6 PM because there is not very late night service! I did it as a day trip from New York City and it was phenomenal!!! Well worth it and a lot less expensive than a day at Disney World! GO!!!
Dutch S — Google review
This is the biggest fair I have ever been to, we had such a great time here, not only are the grounds huge but the different building they have for CT, MA, VT, etc are just jam packed with so many gems. Endless amount of fun and food. The food can be a little pricey like any fair you go to, if you can go on the day they have the $3bites especially if one of your main reasons for going is sampling all the different food would save you quite a pretty penny. This was my first year going to the state fair so I learned that the ticket is just for admission which I probably could have found out from a little more research, you still have to pay for parking for the fair, any carnival rides you would like to go on and things like that. I was just so blown away by everything they had in one place. One of my favorite things was the exhibit they had of the baby chicks hatching in real time and being able to interact and hold them so much fun.
Nkechi — Google review
9/12/2025 My sister and i went here on a a Friday i believe it was the first day and it was still crowded but not overly crowded im sure on the weekends you cant even move lol. There was a lot of good places to eat, a lot of activities, petting zoo, you get to see the horses up close and personal, it was just an over all great experience.. Ive been to dallas texas state fair and i can say this was kinda similar even though not as large but it was still a great experience i plan to return next year. Oh FYI if you dont have medical or disability issues where you need to park near the entrance i would suggest parking on the outside theres good prices even though its a long walk from the entrance you wont be caught in exit traffic leave from the fair parking areas....
BklynPimpstress R — Google review
Most attractions/food stops don’t have shades. So be prepared for the sunlight and to walk around 4-6 hours to fully see everything. I highly recommend the Greek place where you can get a flat bread lamb wrap with a great sauce. I would personally park outside and walk 10-15 minutes.
Hyperagua R — Google review
A great experience, but it gets boring after a while. Wish there were more attractions instead of beer gardens. The food is crazy expensive but it’s not surprising with the prices the vendors pay to set up shop there. I’d rather pay a small amount for a smaller portion size because it’s a bit too much food for me at times. The food was good though if you knew where to look. Honorable mentions to NOLA’s sticky rib, the baked potato place next to the Connecticut house, the dirt and worms bucket cake from LuAnn’s Bakery, the hard cider infused pulled pork sandwich from the Samuel Adams beer garden, and the cinnamon donut bucket from The Donut Family.
Jazzie — Google review
Great fair with lots of tasty things to eat and plenty of entertainment for the whole family. The 4-H portion is excellent and educational. The midway is flashy and busy. The home-show has lots of new items each year. The avenue of state houses is fun, but can be crowded and busy. The fairground is overrun with people drinking alcohol and I would like to see much less of that.
Jacob J — Google review
It was the usual experience asI’ve been every year since I was born. The food was extremely expensive. It was $81 for three mediocre lobster rolls. The 3 minute carousel for my four-year-old took 30 tickets which are a dollar apiece… The parking was $20-$40 to park over a mile away. There was nothing outstanding this year. I was interested in seeing ZZ Top but upon going on the website, it was $500 a ticket to sit in the way back… Unfortunately, not worth it. Sorry ZZ. My son had fun that’s all that matters but we probably spent close to $400 that day and we came home with nothing. My son loved the big yellow slide and luckily we bought four tickets at once because I had a feeling he’d like it and wanna go again. He probably could’ve done the yellow slide all day. That was definitely the highlight.
Sharon S — Google review
I love the Big E, and I do go every year. There is something for everyone, from vendors selling local products, to local places talking about upcoming events(visit Southwick’s zoo inside the better living center 😉), to mattresses, to carnival rides, to concerts(both free and ticketed), horse shows, petting zoos, baby animal, Clydesdales horses, state buildings, and of course the food! You can easily spend a day or two or more here. Why do I say 4 stars verses 5? I’ve gone many many years now and spent a lot of money here- I would love to see the vendors make more money, and more people come, and I think it the cost to get in for tickets was less or eliminated, it would allow just that to happen. I vote Big E for all! ❤️ oh! And the conneticut building Danny’s baked potato reigns victorious! Trust a foodie.

"The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum" is a visitor center dedicated to honoring the local writer Theodor Geisel, featuring rhyming games and life-sized characters. The exhibition showcases selections from three decades of work by artist Ai Weiwei, known for addressing social justice and blending traditional Chinese art with modern expression.
This museum was so much fun! My daughter is 15 months old and just loved running around playing on the sculptures. There’s a giant lite-brite by the bathrooms that was really cool too. This museum paired with the fact that the price of admission allowed you entry to 4 other museums made this a steal. We came from the south shore but made it an all day affair, they allow re-entry so we were able to go get lunch too which was nice. My daughter adored this museum and we will be back!
Brittany L — Google review
This is one of the 5 museums included within tickets of Springfield Museums. It is very designed for kids, lots of colors, arts, decor, legos, pretend play. On lower level, they have creative activities for kids. On second floor, there’s more history on the real life Dr. Seuss. Our 5yo spent about 1.5 hours here. Few associates are around to tidy up things and help guests. Restrooms are very well maintained.
Nehal A — Google review
The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum is definitely one of highlights for Springfield MA. First floor has statues everywhere for pictures. Interactive activities for all ages. Many kids refused to leave at the end of day. 2nd floor has historical items on display. Replicated work space, letters and small theater. It one of the five Springfield museums. 1 ticket for 5 museum $25. It’s a great price. You can spend whole day here. You can go in as many times as you want within one day.
Sharon H — Google review
Not worth the money unless you have time for the other museums as well. Very pricey just for the one. Kids had fun. Two stars off due to the security/staff - twice felt that one of the male staff was a bit too harsh. Once when it was just my young toddler playing with legos and she couldn't reach the bin they have in the middle of the table so I took it out for her. He came over to clean around her and told me the bin had to be put back (he didnt mean when she was done)....while she was still playing. Second when my preschooler was excitedly starting to run (dad was with him) and he had to tell him to stop running (in a rude manner) when again, we were there and obviously weren't going to let him continue to be unsafe. For a kid friendly place, the staff seem to need a bit more knowledge on how to interact with young kids and families.

It was very good, thankful we have EBT/snap benefits to help with the price. Definitely need plenty of time to see all 5 museums that are included in the ticket cost.

When in Springfield, a visit to the Springfield Armory National History Site is a must. This museum is located at the site of General George Washington's largest arsenal and served as the nation's primary facility for manufacturing and testing military equipment for nearly two centuries. The Springfield Symphony Orchestra (SSO) has been enchanting audiences since its inaugural concert in the 1940s.
First time at this venue, great seats i picked the upper level center section. But I really don't feel there's a bad seat in this venue. I will definitely return to see other artists here. Easily located right off of 91 and outside of the MGM Casino. You can park in the underground garage at MGM and walk there. They do serve adult beverages. However, it's limited to beer and spiked Seltzer's.

The Symphony also shared the stage with several members of the Jr. Symphony whose talent is amazing. Happy to be a supporter of the Springfield Symphony, hope others will join to enjoy this fantastic gift to Springfield.

The Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden is a delightful and educational attraction located in Springfield, MA, within the Springfield Museums complex. The garden showcases whimsical bronze sculptures of beloved Dr. Seuss characters such as The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, and The Lorax. Visitors can explore the charming park and admire the imaginative designs that bring these iconic characters to life.
We went know Earth Day 🌎 to see the Lorax and Horton. We didn't go to the museum but the garden is super cute. Bonus cool points if you find Yertle the Turtle.

What an amazing place! My family only had an hour free in the area so we opted just to do the free sculpture park instead of the full museum tour. Parking was very easy. My kids were thrilled to see so many characters they knew and just run around outside. Can’t wait to return for the full museum experience but happy to have gotten to see the sculpture park.

My kids and I were visiting CT and decided to take a roadtrip to Springfield to see the Dr. Seuss sculptures. We had a great time! We loved all of the sculptures! It brought me back to my childhood reading the books and watching the animated shows on TV. If you are visiting Springfield and love Dr Seuss, definitely stop here! You'll feel like a child again!

This sculpture garden is right in the center of Springfield Museum plaza. There were a handful of copper/metallic sculptures of many famous Dr. Seuss characters. There’s also a giant book sculpture that has some famous verses from Dr Seuss engraved in it. The garden has elegant walking pavement covered by trees. It leads to entrances of four museums around the plaza. There’s also an outdoor tent for people to sit in front of the garden. Overall it’s a nice garden for families and kids.

The Springfield museums are very fun. My children, ages 6 and 7, LOVED the Dr. Seuss Museum. There was so much to do on the main level. We were exploring so many fun new things on the main level. The kids could have spent all day there. The upper level was more historic items from Dr. Seuss’s life and the basement had a reading nook and craft area for the kids.

Springfield Symphony Hall is a historic Greek Revival performing arts venue that serves as the permanent home of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra, consisting of 80 members, has been performing at the hall since 1944. It hosts a variety of events including concerts, dance performances, and touring Broadway shows in its beautifully designed auditorium. Visitors have praised the courteous and professional staff as well as their experience seeing talented performers like Theresa Caputo.
This is a beautiful theater with an older feel. It has a decent amount of seating and is relatively comfortable for shows. I saw The Rock Orchestra by Candlelight here and it was amazing. My mom told me stories about the shows she used to see here when she was younger. The ushers were very helpful. The theater staff made sure there were plenty of restrooms available to keep the wait short during intermission.

We saw Michael W Smith here. The balcony seats were surprisingly comfortable, though they had little leg room, especially the first round against the railing. Otherwise, it seemed like the views of the stage were great from no matter where you sit. The venue is beautiful. There are plenty of ushers around to help find seats. There is a parking garage right next door and the rates were affordable.

We had a great time here, excellent symphony concert with comfortable seats and the building is beautiful. Everyone was friendly and helpful and it all made for a wonderful experience. There is parking across the street but my friend and I made an evening of it by going to MGM and getting free parking then after winning a little money we went out for dinner then ended it with a concert here. Worth a visit.

I had not seen a show here since 1991! I was worried the theater may be disheveled. Theater is in tip top shape. The sound is still extraordinary and I'm looking forward to the next concert I see there.

This is a venue not to be missed. The shows and events are always first class. Mambo Kings with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra knocked it out of the park!

Our second time here. Parking at MGM is easy, free, and convenient. Dinner first at the Casino. Symphony doors open at 7pm. You're best off starting to walk over at 7:25. The line has gone in.
Leah L — Google review
This is a beautiful building and would be a wonderful venue if it provided handicap options. There is absolutely nowhere to park around it for handicap people. There is also no elevator that goes up to the third balcony so if there's no room left in the small options available, then you are making an elderly handicap person walk up and down the steps. The seating on the 3rd balcony is also extremely uncomfortable. If it wasn't for the handicapped options, I would definitely give Symphony Hall much higher ratings as it is a beautiful building.
AllHisBlessings — Google review
There's something to be said about listening to music in a historic building. Excellent acoustics. I was seated on the balcony and had a birds-eye-view of the orchestra. A wide range of prices encourages diversity of audiences in affordability. Music to my ears!

Smith Art Museum, located in the Quadrangle of Springfield, Massachusetts, is a cultural gem offering a rich blend of art, history, and culture. The museum's architectural style is an art piece in itself and houses a beautiful collection of art. Visitors can explore exhibits showcasing notable Western and Eastern art pieces. Admission prices vary but there are several discounts available including free admission for Springfield residents on certain days.
This museum is beautiful, the architectural style of the building housing these art pieces is art in itself. The layout of the exhibits inside was very well put together as well, from what we saw, as we weren't able to explore the whole museum, unfortunately. However, the use of space and the information provided for each piece was rather good. I'd love to go back and continue the tour here.

This is one of my most favorite museums. I absolutely love the building, its architecture, the material, the warm and stunningly beautiful color, the incredible windows by Tiffany, the woodwork... the art collection is very good, too. I love coming back! Highly recommend to visit.

My family and I visited the Smith Museum at around 1:30 PM today (May 27th 2025) and we had an upsetting experience that unfortunately ruined what should have been a pleasant outing. While visiting the sculptures exhibit (the green room with mostly Roman sculptures) My uncle, who is visiting from another country, politely asked a museum staff member — possibly a facilities worker — if a certain exhibit area was open. The staff member responded in a condescending tone, saying “Speak English,” and was immediately rude and dismissive. When I stepped in to clarify that my uncle was just asking a simple question, the employee shouted “Can’t you read the sign?” and slammed the door in out faces. We reported the incident to museum security, and a security manager came to address it. The staff member, however, deflected blame, refused to take accountability, and falsely accused my uncle of being “uncooperative.” When I asked the security manager how my uncle could be considered uncooperative just for asking a question, the manager simply said he was relaying the staff’s version of events. This entire encounter was deeply hurtful. It made us feel that our differences weren’t welcome — a disappointing message in a city as diverse as Springfield. To be treated so rudely and dismissively by museum staff was shocking and ultimately ruined our day. So, if you happen to be a person with a heavy accent, or if English is not your first language I suggest being mindful that there is a chance you may come across racist, intolerant and unwelcoming staff/workers at this museum. I hope the museum reflects on this situation seriously. Everyone deserves to be treated with basic respect, especially in a public institution that should celebrate culture and diversity.

An interesting display of notable art from the West and a small window into art from the East. Especially loved the Japanese art/displays.

The GWV Smith is a special place that receives fewer guests than it deserves. It is in part an acquired taste, but still a unique time-capsule allowing visitors not only to enjoy the wonderful collection of "treasures" it contains, but also to contemplate the collecting tastes of a Victorian couple and their take on both U.S. and Asian art and cultures. The building itself is an architectural gem, inside and out, featuring an arched Florentine portico in brick on the front façade and late nineteenth century woodwork and extensive leaded glass within. The distinct collections include rooms with Japanese armor and metalwork (downstairs), Japanese ceramics and netsuke (upstairs), Chinese decorative arts, Islamic carpets and other decorative arts, and a salon hang of paintings mostly by U.S. artists that the Smiths collected, including one showing the couple inspecting some of their own holdings. The downstairs also has a large hall full of plaster casts of classic European sculptures, a rare surviving assemblage of what was once a common educational tool for teaching drawing. To be sure, it helps to appreciate these diverse holdings if you have some background in art history. It also helps if you are with a friend or family with whom you can engage in conversation about the meaning of these items from diverse cultures being bought and installed as they were, particularly in this time of discussion of (de)colonization. The exhibitions have largely remained the same for years, even decades, and sadly some items are noticeably deteriorating (particularly in their wonderful collection of "Turkish" carpets several of which are decaying and need to be dismounted, conserved, and reinstalled--although it is one of the few parts of their holdings for which a proper catalogue was issued years ago), so get their while you can! One admission covers both the Smith and the Fine Art Museum across the quadrangle; parking is free.

Nestled in the heart of Springfield, the Lyman & Merrie Wood Museum of Springfield History stands out as a remarkable destination for history enthusiasts. Unlike typical local historical societies, this museum is part of the vibrant Quadrangle and showcases an impressive array of collections that were once displayed in various now-closed attractions throughout the city. Among its treasures is a fascinating collection of Indian brand motorcycles, with some dating back to 1901, originally exhibited at Springfield's Indian headquarters.
Lots to see here. There is an impressive Indian motorcycle collection. There is also a large section on abolitionism. There is a large amount of material on products that were produced in Springfield. It is a 2 floor museum with lots to see. If you are looking to see everything, leave at least 2 to 3 hours.

The Student Prince Cafe and The Fort is a family-run establishment that has been serving German food and beer since 1935. They have an extensive collection of steins in the bar, adding to the authentic German experience. The cafe offers a unique twist on traditional German cuisine, with each dish perfectly complemented by their wide selection of German beers on tap. Their pre fixe menu is highly recommended for those looking for great deals and delicious food.
The food was five stars, the service was five stars, and the atmosphere is also five stars. Everything was clean everything looked nice, even the bathrooms were clean. The food was excellent. The wait times were not long. Our waitress did an excellent job. I already know what I want to order when I go back again. Which will hopefully be soon. Five stars all around.

Been a few times, always enjoy the veal jager schnitzel, although this time the mushroom gravy was a bit grainy. Giant German pretzel is always good. Great Brussels sprouts. Dishes list the sides that come with it, but you can switch sides to whatever you want. Service is usually great, our waitress this time wasn’t the best though. Great atmosphere, enjoy all the antlers and decor.

Really awesome restaurant that serves mostly german style food. We got the pretzel and alligator bites. Pretzel was fluffly and crunchy, the alligator bites tangy and spicy. Really good entries. As a main dish we got the Salmon and one of the house specialities, the braised pork shanks. One of the best foods I've eating on my visit to the US.

Great place ! Our waitress was awesome. Food was great. Pork shoulder / steztle was great Schnitzel was great Brat slider was great Potato’s on the schnitzel was great. Ghoulish wasn’t the best , hence 4 stars. I’d still give it 2 snaps up in a circle and a twist <🫰🫰>, but the goulish: hated it !

Damn! The Pork shank that kept giving, literally kept finding more meat. Huge portion, like huge! But damn delicious. The Spatzle was also tasty especially with the Sourkraut. Order a beer, eat good food and roll yourself out of there. Great service from the bar.

This place triggered so much nostalgia for me, having grown up in a German household and spent much time in Germany. It is relentlessly authentic, the exact food we would enjoy in Bavaria on a daily basis, and it's got a warm cozy atmosphere too. I loved my veal Schnitzel but the sauerkraut was the best I've ever tasted, even better than my Oma's. The fact they've been in business such a long time yet have retained the high standards of quality says a lot these days. Highly recommend.

TAP Sports Bar is a vibrant gem nestled within the MGM resort, perfect for sports enthusiasts and casual diners alike. Whether you're catching an exhilarating game on one of the many large screens or simply enjoying a laid-back atmosphere, this bar has something for everyone. The extensive menu features fan-favorite dishes that are sure to satisfy your cravings, complemented by a wide selection of beers to quench your thirst.
I recently visited TAP Sports Bar in the MGM Casino at Springfield, Massachusetts, and had a terrific time tasting their tantalizing treats. I went all out and tried the Bling Burger—a truly unique experience. This extravagant burger features two all-beef patties, coated in 24K gold leaf, with all the classic toppings: American cheese, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and onion. Paired with golden-dusted fries, it was a fun and flashy indulgence. Ever wonder what a gold-wrapped burger tastes like? It’s just as delicious as any high-quality burger, with a dash of ketchup and mustard for that timeless taste. Alongside, I enjoyed an expertly crafted Old Fashioned, with quality cherries and just the right balance of flavors. For dessert, I tackled a towering, oversized sundae loaded with whipped cream, colorful sprinkles, and topped with a bright cherry—perfect for sharing! The atmosphere was lively, with tunes and televisions adding to the thrill. Everyone seemed thrilled to be there, and the bar staff was truly attentive, ensuring our table had everything we needed. With ample seating, we felt comfortably accommodated throughout our visit. If you’re seeking tasty tavern treats in a thrilling atmosphere, TAP Sports Bar is definitely worth a trip!

The service here is great along with their food. Their burgers are OK a little bit flavorless but I would suggest anything else. A little bit pricey, but you would expect that in a casino. It is much better than the food court.

This was our first time here. We did not think the casino was anything special however we loved the TAP sports bar. Our server was attentive. The food was delicious and priced reasonably. We all got different dishes and no one was disappointed. The bar was fully stocked. The atmosphere was laid back comfortable. Several large televisions scattered. We would not take the one hour trip for the casino but we might for the TAP sports bar.

Went here for my birthday. Received a horrible experience. They served me a crusty moldy bun on my burger and after I complained, no one from management approached me. I believe his name was Randy. He was too busy flirting with the two women behind my table to acknowledge that we were staring at him to get his attention. My fiancée even got up herself and approached another manager to explain the situation. After they were well aware of the situation NEITHER manager on duty approached our table to apologize for serving such a disgusting burger. I completely lost my appetite and nothing was compensated, we still had to pay $77 dollars for a terrible experience. What angers me is that it must have been intentionally served to us this way because there’s no way you can’t notice that. Very disappointing I will never return and I seriously will not recommend this place to anyone.

Came here before we watched the Barbie movie. Very sports bar and sports bar menu. Nothing really stuck out as phenomenal to me. We ordered the nachos. The nachos I will say that they did come out with a lot of cheese but I've had better .My son of course ordered his mozzarellas sticks which came out very cold and bland. They didn't have any gluten-free buns available which is very disappointing because you should have that if you're serving burgers and sandwiches. But I did order the pulled chicken sandwich without a bun. And my son had the mac and cheese which he enjoyed. My friends also had the burgers which they quite enjoyed themselves but they don't have to be gluten-free like myself so they got a bun.

Went to the festival of trees with a few friends and had a good time. The Mass mutual center did a great job setting everything up and getting people in to see and experience it. They were very organized and the trees and decorations around the room were beautiful. They had live entertainment each day with a stage area and seating and refreshments at the cafe in the back. Well worth the ticket price and great for the kids.

My last review is kind of harsh. The show was fantastic went to see the Black Keys. They put on a great show I don't understand why they didn't sell more of the arena. Anyhow the experience was good tonight the concessions were good. The margarita was really small that I bought, It tasted really good it was just really small for the price. Also got ultimate nachos and it was amazingly really good. As I said the concert and the venue were fantastic.

The parking is non existent at least for school buses. We went here because my son has a band concert being held here. I rode with the band so finding parking wasn’t an issue for me but the kids had to get off the bus and unload and reload right there in front of the building so it leads me to believe with it being in downtown busy-ish area there is only street parking. However, the inside is clean and the workers there were nice and accommodating to our school.

Finding parking was prolly the toughest part of it all but aside from that had a really great time. The Titanic Historical Society, located in Chicopee, Massachusetts, is a captivating museum dedicated to preserving the history and tragic tale of the iconic ship. Run by the official Titanic Historical Society, this intimate museum boasts an extensive collection of models, artifacts, and ephemera directly linked to the ill-fated Titanic. Visitors are immediately drawn in by meticulously crafted models that showcase the grandeur of the legendary vessel.
What an odd, interesting little place. My son is obsessed with the Titanic so as a surprise we took a 2 hour drive from NY to come here. Street parking was very easy. There was a lovely woman working inside who was happy to share her knowledge of all things Titanic. It is a small space but packed full of artifacts. We stayed about 1/2 hour. Absolutely recommend to those interested in the Titanic and White Star Line!
Ashlee D — Google review
Where to begin. It really depends on what your expectations are. From its high rating on Google, I was expecting something much better than what I actually got. If you are expecting a stranger-than-average museum experience that you'll definitely tell your friends about in a "let me tell you about this weird place" way, you'll love it. Unless you know what you're looking for, it is extremely difficult to find. I only found it because I looked at Google Street View after getting directions to the spot and seemingly finding nothing. Sure enough, there's a teeny sign in the grungy window of a run-down abandoned-looking jewelry store. I had to talk myself into going inside. When you walk inside, the store looks like it hasn't been touched in decades. There are boxes everywhere and shelves of faded/outdated greeting cards. It looked more like a shrine than a store with all sorts of pictures of the pope and various religious icons all about. An elderly woman waited at the back of the store along with two other people who would be entering the "museum" as well. The woman was quite knowledgeable, though she did follow us closely like we might steal something. I really wish photos had been allowed because there was some of the weirdest stuff in there, like creepy Jack and Rose dolls and mannequins around corners. Some of the artifacts were interesting, but a lot of things were only tangentially related. Hoo boy, and it was stinky. Stinky like mildewy, stinky like you maybe let something rot too long inside your garbage can. Nothing in that whole store had (obviously) been cleaned for some time. I was on a tight-ish schedule, so I told the woman I had to go (but I had not paid the entry fee yet, so I could not just leave), but she kept stopping me with "oh, but you haven't seen THIS." Held hostage, I tell you. I finally did get out, grateful to breathe fresh air again. Like I said, you just have to manage your expectations, and this could be an absolute delight.
Calla J — Google review
A small collection of titanic-related artifacts about both the real ship and the movies. This is located within a jewelry store and only costs $7 to see. No photos allowed. The best part for us was that we were the only people there, so we pretty much got a guided tour with bonus info and answers to all of our questions.
Hannah — Google review
Very Disappointed! There are clear signs online and on their door they are open Saturday 10am-3pm. I drove an hour out of my way with my Titanic loving brother. Specifically just too see this museum literally our plan of the day and they are closed! It’s 11:15am Saturday morning and the doors are locked and the door even has a return time set for 10am. Very disappointing and have no plans to return!
Sara J — Google review
Though the location of the "museum" is a bit non-descript, it is a charming array of White Star line artifacts and items related to the HMS Titanic. What makes this experience more than pleasant us the knowledgeable and experienced story teller guiding visitors through the space and objects. The amount of information about the sailing lines of that day, and her knowledge of the individual artifacts and their respective stories is truly remarkable and a testament to her passion as an historian and lover of all things Titanic. Please, please, please go with an eager learning attitude and let this woman pour herself into your experience; you will not regret it!

My husband and I are huge Tutanic buffs. We have seen every museum in the United States, with this being our last stop on our trip to MA this week. This was the best one I've ever been to. Yes, it is in the back of a tiny, old jewelry store. Yes, it's dusty and dated. But holy cow. This kind and humorous woman knows her stuff. She told us SO MANY facts about White Star Line as a whole and especially the Titanic. It was such a great experience. To top it off, we went to the cemetary afterwards and saw the Titanic memorial as well as her brother's grave. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience. If you love the Titanic and history in general, I absolutely advise you to make your way to the Titanic Historical Society. Based on reviews, we called the day before to make sure she would be there. In the middle of leaving a message on the answering machine (yes, a legit answering machine), she answered and told us when she'd be there. Loved everything about it. Ten out of ten!

In my experience, many of the staff are very rude, does not provide good and timely response, let alone horrible customer service. Let’s talk about the lack of quality work and the lack of academic advising performance. There isn’t any quality in that area at all, no “attention to detail” No one Seems have a clue or worse, they don’t focus on the older online students. The main focus is on the young students, and no one else seems to matter. For the amount of money we pay to attend this private school the service they provide does match our money at all. Let’s talk about some of the Professors. They might have PhD’s but they certainty behave themselves as not having no education at all in the way they communicate with students. Rude, unprofessional. For many of them it’s just a title and nothing more. Students surveys really need to be considered to possibly improve in certain areas that continues to lack in professionalism and “attention to detail.” Please start with the academic advising for the online students. Certainly needs plenty of improvement.

The Zoo in Forest Park and Education Center is located within a 735-acre woodland park, offering a diverse range of native and exotic animals. The not-for-profit zoo is home to over 225 animals, many of which are rescues that cannot be released back into the wild. Visitors can interact with various creatures, including a friendly camel and raccoons named Thor and Loki. The zoo also features interactive areas for children, such as a bakery and fishing pond, providing hands-on learning experiences.
Not only family oriented fun for all ages. It was beautifully maintained. The animals were all well cared for and cute as can be. The variety of animals is impressive and diverse. Peacocks roam free watch the roofs to see them but I bet you'll most likely hear them first. Staff is entertaining and educated. The only disappointment was the to happy to hiss "hissing" cockroaches in the education area. Otherwise a perfect place to spend a day ,a date or to be with those you love.

Many of the animals seem to be rescues and pet surrenders and the all look to be well cared for. They sell cones of feed for the goats, which was fun for the kids. There's also a little playground just outside the zoo that the kids enjoyed.

I'm from New York, and no zoo can compare to the Bronx Zoo. However, this zoo reminded me of ones that are currently renovating and shifting their focus towards conservation and breeding programs aimed at releasing animals back into the wild. The zoo is small, with most of the animals housed in small cages. Many of them are alone. The only animals I saw roaming free were the peacocks and peahens. My granddaughter enjoyed the visit, but she's just two years old. I feel sad for the animals. The zoo is also under renovation, and many displays were empty.

Great walk in the Zoo. Helpful staff, fair price, great selection of animals. Sad to see some of the animals showing signs of caged existence but they are cared for very well. My 6 yr old Grandson loved the day exploring at the Zoo and playing on the huge play scape.

This is a great smaller animal park for younger children. I’ve been there a few time when my children were younger and now I bring my grandchildren. They really enjoy going. It’s not really crowded and easy to keep your kids in sight. We all know they like to run ahead. Our recent visit we saw an employee coming back from an educational showing of a really big snake. She was returning it to the enclosure. My granddaughters were so interests in that snake the person stopped, answered all the question the kids were asking and let the touch the snake. It really made the day for them. When done in the zoo we picnicked at the playscape just outside the exit. We all had a fun low stress day at the zoo. Can’t wait to go back.

The park also features an extensive network of walking and biking trails that wind through picturesque forests with stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The gospel singers were amazing and brought the house down! The pig roast was something to behold. Love the changes made to the park. I hope the City of Springfield continues to make improvements to this park and keep it clean and safe.

This open space also includes basketball courts, exercise areas, hiking trails, and is dog-friendly.
Really awesome paved trail. Love walking with my dog here. Even on warm days there's a lot of shade on the trail so I can still walk the pup. It sounds like you're in a bird sanctuary! Really beautiful. Unfortunately, my pictures do not do it justice. It was a very misty and gray day when I last went.

MGM Springfield is a luxurious hotel and casino with stunning city views, an outdoor pool, a spa, and four bars. While in Springfield, a visit to the Springfield Armory National History Site is a must. This museum is located on the site of the historic armory that played a significant role in American history for nearly two centuries. The casino at MGM Springfield offers a wide variety of games in a spacious environment.
Great facility. As casinos go this one is very clean, well managed and the staff is across the board excellent. Rooms are very comfortable but little or no sound dampening between rooms. They address this by leaving ear plugs on the night stand which I loved! Again well managed. Very clean. I was attending a conference for which they provided special room rates and that made it affordable. Regular room rates are quite high. Outstanding food options in the facility like Chandlers and their sports bar Tap is very good. Excellent attached parking garage at no extra charge with easy access to the main building. I enjoyed my stay.
Kurtis B — Google review
MGM is one of those rare places that really delivers nearly everything—you can go for the casino, stay for the food, the accommodations, and even just to soak in the atmosphere. We come here often, and every visit reminds me why. The casino floor is a blast. There are tons of slot machines and table games, so whether you’re a casual gambler or more serious, you’ll find your lane. The sports betting options are solid too. The thing that sticks out most to me is the people. The people that work here always seem to be the friendliest people. Parking and access are usually not a problem. That’s a big plus, since nothing kills the mood faster than circling forever or walking a mile after dark. The staff—front desk, servers, casino attendants—are almost always friendly, helpful, and professional. It makes the staying/playing experience smoother. Overall: MGM hits it out of the park. Whether you’re looking to gamble, catch a show, have a nice meal, or enjoy a getaway, it offers all of that with style. Definitely recommend it.

As a business owner if I could give 1 piece of advice to the highest management, I would say, CLEAN HOUSE!! Get rid of all the managers and start over. The only way MGM makes money is if customers come and spend money! The fact that customer service is rare nowadays is sad. Three times I witnessed blatant racism by a security guard. When I was tired of standing by watching, I asked for his manager. I described all instances with the supervisor, then just suggested maybe they should do a Unconscious bias training course or something similar. The manager was very dismissive and straight up told me "If I didnt like what I was seeing, I could just leave." If he worked for my company he would be FIRED. I wasn't rude, aggressive, nor disrespectful. Again, how would MGM continue to make money if this is the type of mentality from management? Today, I went to the food court to Bills Diner. I had a 55% discount for food and ordered my husband and myself 2 burgers and I grabbed a parfait. After the young gentleman rung me up, I did ask if he got the parfait (yes, I should have asked before he rung me up, but I honestly thought he saw me grab it) He stated he did not see it but that he can ring it up now but I wouldn't be able to get the discount unless I would like a manager. I did ask to speak to the manager. When the manager Sandro came over, he immediately brushed me off and told me there is nothing he can do, and that I should have showed him the parfait, and then went to walk off. I asked for his name. I paid for my purchase and waited for my food. About 10 mins later Mr. Sandro went behind the registers at Bills Diner and grabbed my receipt and took a picture if it. Then as he was walking by stated "I guess we are all just going to be reported eachother." Im so glad all of the Events & Promotions Representatives are absolutely amazing!! They always make me feel welcome. And they never seem upset or bothered whenever we speak.

Worst casino service in America. Slots Machines usually empty regardless how much money you bet $30, $40,$50 per bet and the maximum pay you get is about $2600 per winning on top of that you have to pay all your taxes. The security guards are usually very rude. they drag people out of the casinos for no reason at all and they could be obnoxious, disrespectful, and annoying and when you need someone to come to your machine to help you, make sure that you have at least an hour and a half wait before they fix your problem. On the other hand if there is money that you won on your machine, they’ll be there right away because they could get a tip. . if you’re lucky to have a waiter come over and offer for a drink. Make sure you have half an hour wait for it on the same machine if you lose something and they find it they usually get it two or three days later, if you’re lucky if they find any wallets or any available often you see the cars sharing the money on the wallet and you’re available you do not get them and he did happen to me a few times it took about four days for them to give me my car key. It’s a waste of time. It’s a waste of money to not go. They are very, very rude and Unprofessional. Also, if you try to make a withdrawal for an ATM and you do not get the money or your receipt, you're still going to be charged . if you make two withdrawals and the atm didn’t give you the money and you didn’t get a printed receipt did not get the receipt to prove that you were not charged you will be charged anyways, so be ready to check your bank account because whether you like it or not they are going to charge you Choice it's not worth it it's the worst place to go save your money save yourself headaches or somewhere else Mohegan Sun is great.

Roar Comedy Club hosted a trifecta of comedians in Lee Myers, Peter Liu, and Neema Naz in October 2025. Excited to see the show, I had been to MGM a few times but never Roar Comedy Club. It is inside the old armory building and is a beautiful setting to see comedy. The space has the historic charm while looking tactfully updated to host comedy shows, with excellent acoustics in the room. The seats were some of the most comfortable I have ever experienced at a live event, complete with cupholders. There is a ramp to get into the building or stairs. The staff was highly friendly and respectful. They do have a small bar in the back to get drinks. And what I also liked about the show was that one comic went on right after the other, keeping a consistent flow. We got out of the show a bit after 9:30 pm, so you can see a great night of comedy while getting home at a reasonable hour. Suffice it to say, I will certainly be returning to see more shows here.

I visited Wicked Noodles and Macho Taco last night and was extremely disappointed. The noodles were extremely salty, but I tried to brush it off. However, the real issue was with the Macho Taco order - I was served raw chicken. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was met with unprofessionalism and dismissiveness. The manager seemed more focused on being defensive than addressing the issue. He interrupted me, insinuating I was about to yell at him, and seemed unconcerned about the risk of serving raw chicken. As an Executive Chef with 20 years of experience, I'm concerned about the lack of attention to food safety and sanitation protocols. A manager's core responsibilities include ensuring food safety, providing excellent customer service, and overseeing daily operations. Unfortunately, I didn't see that here. The refund wasn't enough to make up for the poor service and lack of concern. Wicked Noodles/Macho Taco - disappointed and concerned about food safety.

I was aggravated after booking the room. Choose a flexible room rate but my credit card was charged the following day for over $300 that was not refundable. I expected to pay the total AFTER my stay like other hotels, NOT after booking the room. Flexible to me means I can cancel 48-72 hours before my check-in date. Non-refundable is what this tactic should be called. Despite this inconvenience, I had to stay so I don’t forfeit my money, and the room was clean and comfortable. Location is great with easy access to food and entertainment. Parking is difficult to find on a Saturday afternoon. Employees were friendly
Krystal B — Google review
We have patronized the casino and hotel on a few occasions. This last time in November, we had a horrible experience. The room was not well cleaned...baseboards and bathroom were not pristine by a long shot. While playing slots, my wallet was stolen out of my bag. I noticed it just after an unusual interaction with a woman sitting next to me and was pretty rattled. I reported the incident and my wallet, minus the cash, was turned in on the other side of the casino from where the incident happened. A formal security report was filed, and I was told they would look at the cameras to help identify the thief. I heard nothing for over 2 weeks, so called security who said they could not identify the woman who stole my wallet, but she is on a "watch list" so if she comes to the casino again they will approach her. Okay, So I appreciate the help from the floor concierge and security officer, but the casino/resort did NOTHING to settle my nerves, try to make it right for me or further address the incident. No offer of a few free slot dollars, no food voucher, nothing. Guest services was very brusque and dismissive of the incident when I called, forwarding me without comment to security, so I am assuming this happens frequently. Springfield is a rough little city, and this country bumpkin will not be returning to the city or casino/hotel. I will continue on the road for another hour to the Connecticut casinos where I have had nothing but good service and excellent customer service. Very disappointing and rattling experience. If you go, watch your wallet and keep your eyes wide open.

Such a great program that has been brought to Springfield MA, out door salsa music! In a beautiful park setting, and the lovely view of the river! It’s from 4-8 pm on Sundays. The last event will be Sunday 09/15, but that event will at MGM but outdoor as well. Ppl bring their lawn chairs, tents , pop up tents for shade and big blankets to have a picnic while listening to beautiful music and spending time with your family or friends. Safe and friendly environment. And they have about 5 food trucks and a guy selling gelato ( we had the coconut one) yum! Parking is a little challenge. I ended up parking at Insa , and then just walked a the way down , then some stairs and then your at the park and event. They do have a slash pads for the kids. And they do have porta potties . And once that is over at 8 pm, head over to MGM for some gambling. And check out their food court.

Nice views from the walkways. It was a little confusing on how to get to the walkway with the construction. I didn't go far, but the pathway for walkers and bikers were nicely paved. Also, only two pieces of playground equipment not much for kids to play on. Plenty of seating, nice place to visit, there was one section I passed that could have been trimmed more. Weather hasn't been the best lately, so it could be better later in the season. Keep in mind that the train right behind it can be a little disturbing if you're looking for a quiet walk.

The bike trail is nice. But unfortunately the stretch from avocado st to downtown is sketchy. Alot of homeless and drug addicts on and off the trail. Rode past a few needles on the actual trail. Don't feel comfortable on it. Born and raised in Springfield also. But I would rather go to Westfield or Northampton.

I was looking for a place to get a run in while visiting - so this ended up being a good option. The trail itself ended up being shorter than I thought it would be, but it was quiet and right along the river throughout, with nice views of the bridge and the sunset.

Smelly, dirt bike riders, unclean, boring. Feels unsafe. 630 on a late Spring day. From the HOF to Boat house park area and the Starbucks. Nice first impression Springfield. One star because zero isn’t an option. Won’t visit again.
Tim M — Google review
So close to being a 5 star trail, honestly it is. My gripes are that it is a little short, it was not clear how to get to the trail from the train station, and the homeless camp under the bridge was a bit sketchy. Other than those problems this is a really nice trail that appears to be either well maintained, or just really well respected by the community. For the most part the landscape was great and I would go back again.
Ted G — Google review
The view is really nice with the backdrop of the downtown behind. This could be a very good option for family. But its not that clean. Mosquitoes are everywhere as the small bushes of side of the bikeway are not trimmed. Evening time is not so great for family.

Five Mile Pond Park is a local recreational area that features a combination of wooded regions, green spaces, and a beach. The park offers clean swimming conditions and is also suitable for fishing activities. However, some visitors express frustration regarding the presence of numerous branches that hinder their fishing lines. Despite this drawback, the park has no entrance fee and provides an enjoyable environment for spending quality time with family, friends, and loved ones.
I never thought that the view of this pond right in the surrounding area in the city was so nice and relaxing to enjoy a quiet moment and hear the water splash. After living in this city for 20 years, yesterday I had the opportunity to enter this park and take these photos.

Aside from that it was free to enter and park it's a nice place to spend time with family friends and loved ones. They even had a porta potty and the police and security took turns protecting five Mile pond park all day.

It was phenomenal, honestly. I was there with my brother and we went kayaking together. The water was very warm and very clean. We even started communicating with a family when we pulled onto the shore to take a quick break heading back across the lake where the car was parked. It was a mother and father with their 2 kids and they asked to try the kayaks out and we immediately said yea sure. So we assisted them into the kayaks and explained the few key details for maneuvering safely when on the water and they all did great. It really was a pretty amazing experience all around.

It is so quiet and peaceful here the people around here are very nice you couldn't ask for a better place to fish or swim and I love it here and I moved here

Great place to fish, especially if you have a kayak. There is no public swimming area and very little parking. There is a boat ramp but it's not in the best shape.

PAHMUSA is closed until further notice. In addition, Google My Business doesn't list PAHMUSA's hours correctly. Also, a sign on one of the museum windows stated it's scheduled reopen was 12/14. Sadly, upon arrival at the museum on 12/18, we discovered it was still closed. Reports from building employees are that the owner had to relocate and downsize all museum displays into a much smaller place. We need more spaces like this, especially in the state/region. I hope the owner(s) get the support they need to reopen. I did manage to take a few photos of the exhibits that were visible from outside the various museum spaces. LOCATION: It's not visible from outside and given they've relocated, I hope better signage, inside and out, improves so we all find it. Parking is metered. Stay tuned for an update, post re-opening visit.

Indian Orchard Mills Inc is an impressive venue that offers a wide range of artists and diverse forms of art. The recent open house was a delightful occasion, allowing visitors to appreciate various artworks, gain inspiration, and mingle with friendly individuals. The atmosphere exudes creativity and warmth, making it a welcoming place for all. Moreover, the old mill buildings have been ingeniously repurposed to serve this artistic community.
Pretty great place to find so many artists and different types of art. The open house was a nice event. It gave us a chance to see the works, gain some inspiration, and meet some nice people. It has a very artsy vibe and though professional, is full of welcoming people. I can imagine a better use of the old mill buildings.
Paul C — Google review
I went by on a Sat. early afternoon when the Dane Gallery was supposedly open but it is a locked, empty, abandoned space. There is no gallery. The whole building is filled with studios but none were open. There is nothing to see here folks. I walked around for almost half an hour inside the "artist colony" and didn't encounter a single other soul. The IOM website seems active and robust but if you look at it closely you will notice there have been no updates on it since 2023, with no planned events or anything else. Same for all of IOM's social media sites. Upshot: This organization/colony is nothing more than a physical space of closed, individually leased artists' studios with nothing on display. It is not a "community" organization for artists or art patrons; it is not a venue or gallery of any kind. A shame because it seems like it could have a lot of potential to offer the public culturally (and monetize the artists' works at the same time) with a little attention. Hopefully no taxpayer dollars are devoted to this entity!

If you are an artist the location is good for studios away from home. They offer occasional art shows, but really I come here to play Pokemon Go since this is a gym location adjacent to water and prone to having water type Pokemon.

I'm not sure how to review this. It's a set of old warehouse buildings across a small river with some cool businesses and studios inside them. I took away one star only because it's a weird location your first visit.

Only 5 people on the rink when I went today! Which is awesome after not skating for 4 years, plus it was my first time at Smead. Ended up exchanging phone numbers and was giving and getting pointer so it was a blast. Will definitely be coming here more often! Also the skates are pretty good for rentals 🙂
Dennis P — Google review
Great rink overall. I play hockey here with the guys often and the ice is usually pretty decent most of the time. (Depending on whose on ice duty that day.) they’ve got some vending machines there and a few games for the kids to play when they get bored. Worth the visit!

Joe — Google review
Its okay, the ICE is not as good as it use to be. The rink is generally dirty and the bathrooms are always rough to say the least. The head manager too always comes off as very standoffish. As someone who use to work there I would have definitely gotten in trouble for the state that the rink is in currently.

I would like to share experience of time skating! Except not only cant i skate, i cant find skating times, i cant find anything re public skating @ all! I scoured their web site. Brought me everywhere & gave me info about everything else except for public skating! Not sure if they dont have @ all, only during winter mths. Nothing @ all on the calendar for the whole yr. There was nothing on public skating pg. I have 2granddaughters who have been asking to skate. Was hoping i could find something locally. Know ice skating is more seasonal. I personally think having indoor skating during summer mths or @ least 1 or two of the summer mths would b great! Always looking for a place to cool off & would b a great activity for the kids during warm mths, nice & cold! My girls & their friends would love!! Actually all my gkids would love! Something different out of the same summer relm. Anyway, if anyone has any info re schedule & times for Spfld or Holyoke rink i would appreciate? Or if anyone knows anywhere there is ice skating during the mth of aug? & or Sept. Thank u very much for reading & your time! Enjoy rest of summer!! 🙂✌🌻

Bright Nights at Forest Park is a popular holiday drive-through lighting event that takes place from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day. The event features a huge Christmas light spectacle with exciting graphics, sculptures, animations, and more. Visitors can pack up their cars with snacks and toys for the family and enjoy a night filled with lights. The park also offers other attractions such as Santa's magical forest, winter carousel rides, and opportunities to meet Santa.
Bright Star is absolutely stunning! I loved the lights, the creative displays, and the overall setting—it felt magical. However, I recommend avoiding discount days, as the traffic can be overwhelming; I ended up spending over an hour just on the road. Plan accordingly, and you’ll have an amazing experience!
Mehmet Y — Google review
Bright Nights at Forest Park in Springfield, MA, is a magical holiday tradition that never fails to delight visitors of all ages. From the moment you enter the gates, the spirit of the season is alive with dazzling lights, enchanting displays, and festive cheer. The drive-through light display is meticulously designed, featuring themed sections that highlight everything from classic holiday icons to whimsical winter scenes. Each section feels thoughtfully crafted, with some favorites being the Seuss Land, Santa's Village, and the majestic Winter Woods. The sheer number of lights and the creative animations truly make it a visual spectacle. The setup is perfect for families and friends looking to share holiday joy. Staying in the warmth of your car while slowly cruising through the displays makes it a cozy and relaxing experience. For kids, the scenes are captivating, and for adults, the nostalgic charm adds a touch of warmth to the season. One of the highlights is the "Merry Marketplace," where visitors can step out and enjoy hot cocoa, holiday treats, and even a chance to meet Santa Claus on select nights. There’s also a photo op area for capturing memories under the sparkling lights. Parking and entry are well-organized, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic. The event is highly accessible, making it a great outing for everyone. Tickets are reasonably priced, especially considering the effort that goes into creating such a stunning event every year. Pro tip: buying tickets in advance can save time and avoid long lines on busier nights. Bright Nights is not just a light display; it’s an immersive holiday experience that brings joy and wonder to the community. Whether it’s your first visit or part of an annual tradition, it’s guaranteed to fill your heart with holiday spirit. Highly recommended for anyone looking to make lasting holiday memories!

Great spot. Know famously by any local, and more than likely within 50 miles or more. I've gone here countless times growing up. It's always super busy but worth every minute. They have added alot over the years.

My family had an awesome fun - filled night at Bright Nights !!! The effort that is put into each light display, is amazing. We went on $10 Tues., and only waited for about ten minutes, to get in. We also visited Santa's Magical Forest. My kids loved riding on the winter carousel, and getting their pictures taken with Santa. We cannot wait to visit again.
Kristy S — Google review
Went on a weeknight zero wait time. This is the best of the older style light displays in the area. The terrain of the park lends itself to separating the display into different “lands”. We did not have children with us so did not go to the Santa land part of the exhibit. Really enjoyed the beautiful light display. Would recommend.
Rosemarie D — Google review
What a perfect idea for a family event out! Pack up your car with snacks and toys for the family and jump in for a night filled with lights and exciting graphics, sculptures, animations, and more! Over the top quality in every way from the Bright Lights team. Easy ordering and well worth it in every way! It was like a short amusement park ride in the comfort of your own car, truck, van, limousine..! Call all your loved ones and enjoy! Note they even have a spot for you to stop along the way. I recommend you do! A nice little stop and way to stretch your legs. You can even get close to some lights and go on a carousel. Out of the many themes, Dr. Seuss, Candy Land and The Rose Garden were our favorites.
Amy C — Google review
Always worth the drive! The lights were amazing as always. This year we stopped in at Santa's magical forest. The Santa was the most realistic and jolly one I have encountered in a while. The kids rode the winter carousel and got lucky enough to have Santa ride it with them. The tickets for the carousel were reasonably priced too, 3.00 each or 2 for 5.00. Always look forward to going each year! Have to order tickets on line before going, but it made the lines move faster going in. If your going, grab the coupon from big y. It brings the cost down to 16.50 a car load, without coupon its 24.00 a car load.
Tricia I — Google review
The line was super long to get into the bright lights which is expected right now. They do have the lanes blocked off and cops making sure no one cuts which is nice. We went around 730 or so and waited almost an hour to get in. The lights are nice and the kids really enjoy. They have a rest area once inside with port o potties and lots of sanitizer. Its a nice mix of different lights. Even nicer when there is snow on the ground.

Been going here for years my grandfather built the brick patio and building for the city back in the 70s. It's still stands today. No graffiti or trash because the city does an amazing job keeping the place clean the only thing is they might have a tent or 2 in the woods for a homeless couple but they are very generous and kind as well.

My temp custodial teens like Hubbard Park. It's small and shady with a basketball court. Dirt parking lot, one or 2 holes easily fixed wish they make the attempt but it's fine for kids to hangout. I've had no issues so far with bullies. A mix of adults are usually seen there playing ball. It's also the spot where you may see officials conducting meetups for scheduled visitations, mandated reporters present which lends a feel of safety for my teen cousins.

Great park and very clean. There are baseball/softball fields as well as soccer fields. If you don't want to use any of the fields, there is a lot of room just as a plain field. The grass is always cut to appropriate height. There is also a basketball court and a playground for the young kids. Great park for all ages
Vanessa F — Google review
There is not much too much for kids to do. There is only one baby swing and it's not enclosed because there is no bar. The drains weren't working water from the sprinklers we're building a big puddle in the middle. There is one tiny play scape. There is a basketball court for bigger kids and a really nice field and baseball diamond.

People drink in this park all day long . I call it wino park . It used to be nice . The basketball hall of fame reconstructed this park they need to maybe do it again. Plant more trees and plants . My question is why do all the parks in the inner city or ghetto have no foliage in them . If you go to the suburbs the are kept up nice . Environmentalist need a agency in place to check our cities pollution level before and after the casino opens up. We lost a lot of trees in the city we just might suffocate ourselves. This is just a suggestion that air quality may go down . what do I know right I'm just a citizen .

It's a plain bare park in a ghetto area. Only people who live in the surrounding projects might be the only ones who utilize it. Once in a blue there might be an event of some kind but it's rare. It does have water sprinklers for kids for whatever it's worth.

Incredible art shows that provide a whole new perspective on the arts. Art for the Soul makes Springfield,Massachusetts an untouchable mecca for the arts. I was visiting Massachusetts from Arizona this summer and heard about the Cultural Fusion closing reception through my girlfriend. We decided to check it out, and I’m so glad we did. The neon installation was impressive, but what really stood out was the atmosphere — very diverse, welcoming, and full of great conversations. Even though I’m not from the area, I felt right at home. A wonderful experience, and I’d recommend Art For the Soul Gallery to anyone in Springfield or just passing through.
