Nice mid size museum. Very high quality artifacts and artwork. Took me around 1-2 hours to look at everything. Entry costed $20 and I paid at the door, no reservation required. Great little aquarium section with fine assortment of tropical fish and animals. Highly recommend.

Great museum. Small aquarium downstairs with an active snake too. A mummy talk was quite informative. And my 6 year old enjoyed the origami and other things geared to her age...and he under the sea christmas tree themed exhibit.

This is a wonderful community museum. Kids (and some adults) love the natural history gallery and the camps, aquariums, and classes. There are usually special exhibits for the large number of adults who visit during the spring and summer. This summer (2024), there are two great exhibits that focus on women. One, "Women in Space" took us from the first woman, who in 1912, flew the first loop the loop, through Amelia Earhart to the pioneers of the US Space Program (see photos). The other special exhibit, "Black Women as Muse" presented some beautiful, Black x White photographs of Black women from all walks of life (see photos).

Nice local museum with a good variety of exhibits. The aquarium in particular is very nice for a museum of this size. It's fairly small and mostly geared to kids, but it's good enough to keep the adults entertained as well. The $15/adult price is a bit high if you are visiting without kids, as you can get through the whole thing in about an hour. But if the price doesn't bother you it's well worth the visit.

Awesome mix. Aquarium on the bottom floor was great, along with the rock and mineral section. Ancient History Replica art/sculptures, ancient zoology, early technology innovations and more... Great place for those who gently respect and appreciate museum artifacts. If your kids are wild then might not keep their attention;)

We had a lovely time here! We enjoyed seeing the animals in the aquarium and reptiles section. The art was lovely to observe as well! I especially appreciated the signs acknowledging problematic aspects of museums and history about local native people. Thank you for being responsible.

Have always wanted to come here and was in the “neighborhood!”. Donna our guide was friendly and very informative. I always find these author houses interesting and Melville’s was not a disappointment. I wish I had time to visit Edith Wharton house which I hear is beautiful. Also Arrowhead has a nice little gift shop with shirts and books and a nice selection for kids.

Loved it! The guides explained Herman’s rich history, and the house is kept pretty well. It's such a beautiful piece of land. I wish there was more to choose from in the gift shop.

We were on a short driving trip around the Berkshires and we stayed in Lenox as a base. Each day we drove out for sightseeing and dining. One day we drove over to Arrowhead, the home of Herman Melville. It is a rather modest house in the country with some acreage. We did not have time to go inside as we had to go meet our friends.

Beautifully preserved testament to the life of Herman Melville. Our tour guide, John, was absolutely brilliant and wow-ed our group which included of two young english literature scholars. Definitely a must-visit for anyone in the area.

Another fun place to visit. We got there after it closed Stayed too long enjoying Mount Greylock. Walked around the grounds. Learned a little from the grounds keeper who was mowing the lawn. This is where the author wrote the famous Moby Dick book and others. Come aee where he got his inspiration!! Coming back to see and kearn more next year. An authors and poets dream.

Scenic, accessible, and well maintained, what else do you want in a state park? We stayed for a weekend camping. The hiking trails are well marked. The bathrooms are very well maintained. My comfort station at the main campground area had a dishwashing station, hot showers locks on the doors, lockable door on the family room, and nice bathrooms with flush toilets.

Was amazed with the park great hiking trails. The bathroom and shower is newer than other parks that I have visited.

It was a nice spot for my girlfriend and her kids to stay but when we switched the reservation to my name and she left her set up for me is when we had problems, drunks came crashing into our site hit the fire pit almost ruined our tent all DCR did was call state police who did nothing. They didn’t address the alcohol even though the rules clearly state no alcohol allowed. Now get woken up told I’ve been here for two weeks leave and don’t come back, which is false I’ve been here less than a week, my gf and her kids were here a month. Don’t camp here unless you enjoy near death experiences and drama.

I love this place, every time I go it's a different experience. There is trails for every one, with nice little views all over the mountain. Even if you don't want to hike there is picnic spots with grills, a beach area with white sands. If you drive half way up there is a view spanning over new york and a quant little pond. When I went today with my pup it was beautiful clear skys at the bottom, once I got to the top it was a foggy new world.

Very nice area. Berry Pond is really great. You can just stick around for a long time. The whole area is so peaceful and birds chirping is very soothing. We just decided to give it a try and we were very pleasantly surprised. If I am in the area again, I will sure consider visiting again.

I enjoyed my reservation as I was homeless with my kids due to the holiday we stayed a total of a month but after we left I gave the tent to my bf and his friend there stay started Tuesday and that night my drunk mother in law attacked me bf and his friends site hit the fire pit almost ruined the tent and physically attacked his friends site hit all DCR did was call state police and it took over 40 mins to arrive on scene and then they only cares about me and the kids vacating the area then there were several other issues and complaints so I was going to give them another week till the ranger shows up wake them up and says you’ve been there two weeks get out and don’t come back, not for nothing they wernt there two weeks and the office should fact check before kicking pole out and if anyone should have been kicked out it should have been the drunk Karen’s that caused physical damage to our site due to alcohol but I also paid a total of 620$ plus firewood about to be 740$ to be legally homeless which is crazy. The shower pressure sucks and it takes forever to get warm, saw ppl shooting up inthe bathrooms the baby changing table never gets cleaned by park staff so bring cleaning wipes the hand dryers work half of the time

Unfortunately, my experience at Dottie’s didn’t go as smoothly as I had hoped. It seems the restaurant may be struggling with being understaffed, both in terms of waiters and cooks. The lines to order a simple cafe drink were quite long, and it took over an hour for our food to arrive, despite only ordering simple sandwiches and egg brunch plates. Other customers walked out frustrated because staff were taking too long to get to them with anything’ There was also an issue with the billing, as the charges didn’t match what we saw on the menu. After some back-and-forth, they did adjust the price to reflect the correct amount, but it was a bit frustrating. The food itself was decent, though nothing extraordinary. While Dottie’s appears to be the go-to place in downtown, they definitely need to improve their service to meet the expectations of the crowd they’re drawing in. It’s clear there’s potential, but right now, there are a few operational kinks to work out.

I usually don’t leave reviews like this, but I can’t stay silent about the way we were treated at this coffee shop. I visited with a group of close friends — seven of us in total, all international students and professionals. Some of us are senior software developers earning six-figure salaries, others serve in healthcare and involved in academic research. We had just returned from a vacation and stopped here for breakfast, expecting a peaceful and enjoyable experience. The food was good, and the ambiance seemed nice at first — but that all faded quickly because of how we were treated. From the moment we walked in, something felt off. While other customers were served properly, we were all given paper cups for our drinks, including my cappuccino. It may sound small, but when you see everyone else being treated with more care, it makes you wonder why you’re being singled out. We speak fluent English. We’ve all passed the TOEFL exam. We are respectful, educated individuals who simply wanted to enjoy a meal. But somehow, we were made to feel like outsiders — like we didn’t belong. When we asked politely why we were treated differently, there was no explanation. Just a quiet, awkward apology and $20 off our bill — as if that could make up for the hurt we felt. It may have been just breakfast for them, but for us, it became a painful reminder that no matter how hard we work, how accomplished we are, or how respectfully we carry ourselves, we can still be made to feel invisible. This experience left a bitter taste that no good food can wash away. I hope the management truly reflects on how they treat people. A coffee lounge with a vibe. In the heart of Pittsfield, MA is a vibing coffee lounge. Dottie's offers an inviting atmosphere with great food and coffee. The lounge has 3 rooms for seating. Upon arrival you pick your table with the number, grab a menu and order at the cashier where you will inform them of your table number and place your order. The first room offers some elevated window seating for some natural bright light and people watching. The second room has plenty of seats and typically where the performers play on the mini stage. The third room has more seating, bar seating, and bathrooms. Each room has its own unique design with art. The first room has the gift shop. They also have a large patio for outdoor seating and in some of that fresh mountain air The service in Dottie's is great. How it works is you pick a table and locate the number on the table, go to the cashier to tell them your table number and place your order for food and drinks (including coffee), the staff will deliver your items to the table. Everyone is so kind and helpful. I especially enjoyed Zuko. Zuko was helpful, consistently checking on the guest and ensuring everyone got their meal in a timely manner. Zuko is a great asset to Dotties. I've been to this location several times and my favorite food is the steel cut oats with a variety of toppings that include fresh fruit and nuts . I also enjoy the Burnham bagel it's an everything bagel with cream cheese, ripe tomatoes and red raw onions, perfection! I will also typically get a lavender latte or a Matcha latte with lavender. I'll definitely be back to enjoy some of their tasty menu items. Enjoy the ambience and hopefully get to see the radiant Zuko. Cheers 🥂

It’s a work in process with new management. We paid 26$ for two outfits and a latte but they ran out of avocado and wrappers so I got rice and half piece of cheese topped by a poached egg. Really.

What a great addition to a developing and vibrant downtown Pittsfield ! Artsy, chic, and wonderful business concept ! During day it is a cool and hip cafe, while evenings have live music and theme nights with large plates to share which provide a total food experience to your evening. Staff were kind snd welcoming. Entire vibe is unique and fun! Highly recommend the Vanilla Latte, Waffles, and Breakfast sandwich on a fresh biscuit.

Great brunch spot! The food is good but I would not get the matcha here. It was pretty watered down. The energy was bustling in here - definitely coming back again for the brunch menu.

The food was amazing. I ordered a Hot chocolate, Large Soup, and a Burnham Bagel 🥯. The place is nice. And it has nothing to do compared with regular coffee shop in New York City or Jersey.

Wonderful theater and production of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap. Staff is great and it is nice to be able to take drinks into the theater. Restoration of the theater is truly beautiful.

What a beautiful group of folks in the tix office. Joann and Brian went out of their way to assist my wife and myself celebrate our 3ed anniversary. It’s the ultimate in customer service. Beautiful, historic art-deco theatre. (See photos). Comfortable seats, lobby, and bar. Friendly and helpful staff and volunteers show you to your seats. And we saw a Great show --- "Young Frankenstein" a musical by Mel Brooks. It was hysterical!

A beautiful Old theater that has been renovated recently. The character of the building is only outdone by the acoustics. I saw Pink Floyd the wall, and it was an astounding performance. If they do it again I strongly recommend seeing it. Back to the theater. Extremely comfortable. The staff is amazingly friendly and will direct you easily to your seat, as well as to anything else you might need. Almost 10 years now and this is my first visit. What a mistake that I haven't gone before. I'll be back.

The Colonial is a gem. The productions are always excellent, whether theater or musical, and the building itself is always breathtaking in its restored elegance. I always take a moment to silently thank the Miller family as I enter. They ran their art supply business from here for years, likely saving this historic spot from the wrecking ball, and from what seems to be the current business spawn, a car dealership.

Beautiful architecture. Great place to enjoy a show. Have been here several times now. Every show has been incredible! Will keep coming back. Even introduced my in-laws to the theater. We all love it. Great night out.

I love the Colonial. I actually put on Broadway to the Berkshires there in 2006, 2007,2008. It’s a wonderful experience to be in shows there and to watch shows there. We went to see Mousetrap last night with friends. We’ve never sat in the mezzine . The seats are very tight, it was extremely hot even after several people complained during intermission. The actors were hard to understand . I realize an English accent is difficult to follow but it’s easier if the actors slowed down a touch and enunciated . This play was boring I’m sad to say. Just not one of our favorites.

SOME EVEN FISH THERE AND TAKE THEIR BOATS OUT.. BEAUTIFUL VIEWS! SOME EVEN JOG OR ROLLER SKATE/ ROLLERBLADE THRU THE PATH AS WELL.. THEY ALSO HAVE LIVE ON THE LAKE THERE AT TIMES TOO!

What a nice lake very clean so much fun. Theres a lot of places to hangout and dip in the lake very well maintained. Hope the people that go there clean up. Me and my dog had fun swimming and kayaking. But we didnt go near the beach where there is lots of people

Amazing spot I went their 5+ times with my best friend this summer and it was an amazing experience and if their are people who are looking to find a place with a decent amount of items/keepables like we've found money, fresh swimming goggles and amazing shells on top of stuff like bracelets we did not want to keep. This spot also is good for swimming pretty far with it being pretty clear and clean and the view is amazing. It had no undercurrent and here is the beautiful view if your on your toes.

day22(10SEP24) sanctuary43: good place to both walk and stretch your eyeballs...open fields and marsh close to downtown pittsfield. two separate loop trail systems. sacred way trail along housatonic river likely wet and muddy in spring, but level and wide with plenty of boardwalk thru elderberry /arrow-wood floodplain swamp.

Nice easy walk with beautiful views. Entrance can be easy to drive by, so be ready to turn. Definitely bring bug spray for the mosquitoes during warm weather, and boots if it has rained recently for the mud. Tons of animals and plants to see if you are quiet.

My first experience here was almost a year ago, so I’ve had the opportunity to experience it through the seasons. It is a lovely, flat nature preserve that is used for hiking/walking, or snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the winter. It can get pretty busy with XC skiers when the snow/weather is nice. It is family friendly all year long. The parking lot is small so it can fill up quickly.

Wonderful place to bird watch and take in the sights and sounds of nature. Very quiet, the people who come here are pleasant and respectful. You can see deer, beavers, rabbits, butterflies, and many different bird species. Very close to the city but it certainly doesn't feel like it! A fantastic spot for a nice nature walk.

Parking lot small, but place is fairly big. Despite lot being full I didn't see a soul. Have seen beaver, muskrat, coydog (not recently), deer, turkey and many bird species. There have been bear sightings, though I have never encountered any. The Audubon Society asks for a small donation.

We enjoyed an extremely peaceful walk along Sacred Way Trail. The sounds of this wildlife sanctuary were wonderful. The woodpecker pecking was great to hear. But then my wife met her match when she saw a snake slide across the bridge we were crossing. So we had to retreat and take the crossover trail and head back.

This hiking trail is a hidden gem and seems underrated. We visited during christmas and pathway was snow filled. There is a little pond where you can find beautiful ducks. Don’t miss out if you are nearby

Such a cool theater, with a great stage and we saw an awesome show. N/A was so timely and well done, definitely a pleasure to visit and see great actors perform.

Fun place but very small and not a lot of parking. But they show some very good musicals and plays!

We've been going to district for about 3 years now whenever we get a chance for date night. The service is always great, the food changes seasonally and never disappoints, and the drinks are wonderful (specifically the espresso martini!). Highly recommend!

I chose this restaurant for my dinner when I visited the Berkshires, Massachusetts. It exceeded my expectations. I ordered a Flatiron steak and it was the best steak ever. I went during peak dinner hours. The food was served expertly and the staff was courteous. I sat at the bar area and enjoyed my meal. The restaurant was packed but I had no wait time. They sat me right away and the food was perfect. It was a great atmosphere and even though I was alone, I enjoyed it very much. No regrets! Highly recommend.

Food was good, service took a while but the place was a great vibe. The chicken was tasty and the fish and chips were tasty. I enjoyed my manhattan more than my first cocktail but overall great experience.

Wow...this was our second time coming . We have a time share her and come every year the same time. The service is very good.we had arie this time and she is very professional and very detail in sharing things .. When I got my dish I wasnt expected it to look like the way it looked...she was so sweet in explaining everything and she described it well. I had the steak with the polenta and it was my first time eating polenta and the flavors all together were delish. My husband had the salmon he truly enjoyed his dish as well. Will Def come back everytime we return to the berkshires...

We completely enjoyed our experience here! We had the Mushroom Sausage Flatbread and the Fish and Chips. Both were served hot and they were delicious! Salads were very good as was the fresh baked bread. Our server, Caitlin, was welcoming and accommodating. We plan to go back soon!

We enjoyed the butternut squash soup so much that we went back the next day to get it again. Also very tasty was the fish and chips, the Flatbread pizza and the burger. The autumn margaritas was delicious too. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolute best time tubing here!! Can't wait to go this winter! Lanes are fun and fast. Ride back up the hill is key! Fire pits are a nice addition!

Can't wait to go back! I'm not a skier, but I would try here! Went tubing, had a great time! Great for a date day, family day, any day! Large or small groups, Safe, fun, organized, and you can't help but smile. Tubing lanes are separated, so this avoids injuries. Open rain or shine, so get there. Definitely do this 🙌🫶🙌

My family and I haven't been skiing 🎿 in years. We changed that this week by visiting this awesome spot. Club house is beautiful and new. Everything was very clean and employees extremely friendly/helpful. Colby was a true rockstar, my dad had lost his wallet and he notified us of the proper channels. He was very welcoming to us and eventually we found the wallet! Colby was running the blue ski lift and brought with him a can do attitude and his communication was first class. Also, notable was the entire tubing staff from Wednesday and Thursday. We enjoyed both skiing and tubing here. As a result, I highly recommend this place. The mountain has some easy parts along with some very challenging. There is a bunny slope for practice if you haven't been in awhile. They offer lessons, quick eats at the cafeteria, or restaurant/bar. Very reasonably priced for rentals/skiing/tubing. The lady at the front who checks people in for tubing is doing a stellar job too. She's a bills fan, but I won't hold it against her 🤣👌 5 🌟

Best kept secret in the area! Looking for great food, tasty drinks, and and amazing view? Look no further. How is this place not packed every night? The restaurant should have its own google page, I don't think everyone realizes that the restaurant is there- the food and location are both amazing! Tried the penne primavera and the burger- both were great, even the fries were impeccable. Also tried their Dark and Strawberry cocktail- phenomenal. Go now before everyone realizes it's open and amazing during the summer!

Great ski resort. I started coming to Bousquet about 6 or 7 years ago. More recently, they completely renovated the lodge and the new building is a HUGE upgrade. They take good care of it and it creates a nice atmosphere here. The mountain itself is smaller compared to other ski areas in New England, but this is still a great place for a more relaxed skiing/boarding experience. The runs are fun and have a few challenging spots. Unfortunately you end up doing the same runs over and over due to the limited number of trails, especially when there hasn't been much snowfall and some trails are closed off. But Bousquet is still a nice place if you just want to relax and cruise down the trails for a while. Prices are pretty reasonable for a ski resort actually. Weekdays are cheapest and go for around $50 or so for 4 hours, or I think just a few dollars more for 8 hours, so it's usually worth getting an 8 hour pass. Altogether this is a nice place - nothing groundbreaking, but you'll enjoy your visit.

Snow Tubing Review: You will be waiting longer than you will be Tubing! The problem with this tubing hill is that it's lanes are too short and everyone at the top of the hill must wait for everyone at the bottom of the hill to fully exit ALL the lanes at the bottom before being allowed to slide down. There are ~10 Tubing lanes. Once at the bottom of the hill everyone must walk across the other lanes to exit where the magic carpet lift takes them back up the mountain. The one exit path that goes across the tubing lanes is not at the end of the tubing lanes, it's BEFORE the end, so a person going down the hill on their tube will hit you, hence why everyone at the top must wait until everyone has cleared the bottom before being able to slide down. This is the first time I've been Tubing at a ski resort where it's been like this. Add to the fact that smaller children who rode alone were getting stuck because their tube would stop halfway down the track, our day turned into 2 hours of more waiting than tubing. Two of my children simply didn't care for this at all and didn't find it fun. We attempted to leave and get our money back, but were informed there are no refunds. Unfortunately I wouldn't return to go tubing here again, and I wouldn't recommend this tubing hill to anyone else. There is another tubing option 25 minutes away at butternut that we found much more fun.

All positive. I was a little concerned after hearing a few people state Oh Bosquet! Let me tell you the new 2 year old ski lodge is wonderful. The skiing lessons were for 3 people and one instructor. The result was a family aging 59, 23 and 6 receiving 3 instructors for 3 days at NO extra cost. They really wanted to to have a great time and went well beyond to ensure it happened. In fact beside this really quiet resort I mean we were the first people on the slopes when it opens at noon and over 3 days the most people we saw in total was probably 50. Highly recommended if you want a family skiing vacation. *****

Such a cute park right near downtown Pittsfield! The gardens are beautiful and there are plenty of places to sit. Lots of parking and wasn’t busy at all. Very quiet and peaceful.

Great place to bring your kids. Didn't see that many people here but my visit was around 4:30pm on a weekday. Kids really enjoyed the swings (which have new safety features that I really appreciated) and slides. They have a wider selection of playground activities than most local parks. It's also a pretty massive space that extends beyond the playground and sports fields to include gardens and well-manicured lawns.

Used to be nicer. Now you will regularly find trash. Beer cans and nip bottles around where the kids play, etc.

Finally got some new nets up and it's actually clean 👌🏾

Decent enough spot to get the tiny truck out, watch out for broken glass and needles.

Needs a lot more for kids and young adults, no clubs, no concerts of a normal size or big artists really other than Tanglewood but no RAP OR HIP HOP... Or big country.... it's a very oldie but goodie kinda spot needs a huge upgrade

New bike lanes are terrible. Poorly done also, These are the kind of mistakes that can really hurt local businesses. If ppl have a hard time parking they will stop coming. Especially older folk. Its just a mess and it can be hard on the eyes.

Had the "Not So Hippie" Burger and it was really tasty. Solid fresh bun, enjoyable aoli, and a very packed assortment of toppings. The burger itself was also tasty! My partner got the French Onion Grill cheese. She loved the flavor. It was a small size though I'd say. Both dishes came with a pickle but no other side option was available. We also tried the homemade pop tart and I'd highly recommend. Fair price for a homemade pastry and the filling was just enough and toasted perfectly.

Had lunch here today. Great menu of tasty and healthy food. Excellent service too. Even got extra orders to come home for another meal!

I got the Curried Chicken Salad Wrap minus greens and tomatoes, as well as an iced Butterbeer Latte - both were super delicious! Honestly one of the best wraps I've had in a long time; the curry mayo is so nice. The vibes of the cafe in general are also very nice - sitting on a cushioned bench near the window, it was exactly the kind of place I wish I could set up with my laptop and write or just hang out people watching for a while.

The Marketplace Cafe is an excellent restaurant for lunch! We stopped by on our way back from visiting The Clark and had great salads and sandwiches. Here’s a tip that might prove helpful. You only have to pay for the parking meters until 4pm.

Was in town for work and I stopped here twice. Once was during the busy lunch rush and I was amazed at the efficiency and hard work of the staff. Second time was less busy. Both times excellent food and service. Also the little pickle that comes with the sandwich is great!

Man this was quite a delicious lunch! Food was ready so fast and was flavorful and good quality. I also had a dirty chai and that was delicious.

This place has excellent food and service. We stopped on a long trip for a quick dinner and some coffee. Everything we ate was simple and fresh. The food came quickly and was piping hot. The guy behind the counter was friendly and helpful. Also, don't skip dessert! We had a lemon bar that was delicious and tasted fresh made. Our food came our fast so we could get back on the road. Overall, a great experience.

Beautiful, scenic lake with views of the surrounding mountains. Free parking and a boat launch. Pathways and picnic tables are throughout. Nice place to eat lunch and walk by the water's edge.

Out of your number of Lakes in the area I would Say Pontuusac is definitely one of the cleaner and nicer lakes in the area to visit compared with that of a Onota Lake definitely would prefer swimming or visiting here any day.

I love going to these gilded age mansions. This one is still undergoing renovations, but it's beautiful nonetheless. It's about an hour on your own if you really take the time to listen to the tour and enjoy the artifacts.

We were on a short driving trip around the Berkshires and used Lenox as our base. Everyday we went out sightseeing and dining. We had a list of the gilded age mansions to go visit and Ventfort was on top of our list. The home was built by JPMorgan’s sister in 1893. There is plenty of parking out front and the views are very nice. The entrance fee is $20 and a discount for seniors. Inside is dark wood everywhere it nicely restored and maintained. A great example of the gilded age mansions built in and around Lenox.

This is a brick mansion / castle that was featured in the movie "Cider House Rules". It had fallen into such disrepair that local kids were ice skating in the main hallway due to the roof leaking so badly in the Winter. In the last several years a ton of money has been poured into restoration to the point where they are able to give decent tours. The place has a very interesting backstory, nothing notorious or salacious, unfortunately, but the staff is well versed regarding it's history. It's certainly worth the $18 per person for 90 minutes worth of Gilded Age escapism.

One of the most enjoyable experiences in an old mansion ever. stepping back into the late 1800’s, a beautiful piece of contemporary architecture restored (not fully) to a near perfect memorial. Some original ceilings, fireplaces, and furniture still wardrobes this historical home. One piece in particular is the piano in the grand room-the original instrument that dwelled in the Morgan home in the late 1800’s. JP Morgan, that is. The house is open most days from 10am-4pm to tour. Make sure you set aside plenty of time to see all of the wonders inside or choose the opportunity to go on a guided tour with a helpful and knowledgeable staff! I really appreciate great historical sites and museums and this felt like both in one. You can walk the grounds to the previous gardens and also down the long dirt path to the carriage house, where the Morgans stabled fine horses. Just peep outside because the carriage house is still in rough shape and cannot be entered. Pic below. Enjoy!

My wife and I went to the Mascarade Macabre after looking for something our style to do for out 20th Anniversary. This place is amazing. The staff have painstakingly restored this building bit by bit. The attention to detail and dedication involved is clear to see. From period restored woodwork, plaster ceilings, and carefully selected furniture you are transported instantly to the guilded age. We had the best time that evening and made memories we will not soon forget. We felt instantly welcomed and at home. We plan to donate to further restoration and ask that anyone who can please consider it.

I've been here before and had a great experience watching productions of Shakespeare plays. 2025's Romeo and Juliet is awful. Terrible directing (aiming for humor and doing it badly), terrible overacting, terrible voice work (including a lot of screaming) and bad casting. All under the guise of modernizing the play. Which would be fine if done well but it wasn't. I felt sorry for parents who brought tweens to see the show hoping for their kids to appreciate Shakespeare. Teens who enjoy South Park might enjoy this version. Unfortunately now I'd be reluctant to take a chance on coming back.

Multi-faceted talent was on display today during an amazingly versatile production featuring superb physical animation on stage. This phenom more than made up for the limited amount of overwhelming visual or auditory stimuli that were so skillfully trimmed from this sometimes raucous play. Kudos to everyone involved in making this delightful performance the fantastic entertainment I stumbled upon today and quickly turned into the highlight of my weekend!🎭🤩🍀

This was the 2nd year that we've spent our anniversary seeing an amazing production... We always have a great time!

Just spent an evening at the Arthur S. Waldstein amphitheater at the Shakespeare Theater campus in Lenox. Saw "A Comedy of Errors", which was very entertaining and well performed. This is a smaller outdoor theater with about 200 seats. The chairs are comfortable canvas. The only negative is that as the evening grew dark, the mosquitoes came out, so either wear long pants and sleeves or bring some insect repellent.

Really love the pizza and pastries, and have been going here for over 5 years. The sourdough pizza is unique, and I love it. They also use all organic ingredients, so you know your food is good. One thing I wish they would do is bring back seating to the Pittsfield location. I would love to sit down and have a pizza with friends there like I did before COVID.

Great sandwiches, great frozen options, and great bread. The workers are especially welcoming. The whole place has a good vibe and great food. The prices for the frozen items are a bit high for my liking, but delicious enough that I understand the cost. Their pot pie is going to become a staple in my house. Recommended: Roma sandwich, pot pie

Walked in, ordered a take and bake pizza 20 minutes before closing (6:40PM). They serve me with a smile and I was out of there quickly with Pizza in hand. It was yummy.

Very reasonable prices! I had the pulled pork and it was delicious. We also got some fresh loaves of bread that were also quite tasty. Staff was super friendly and service was quick!

I think all the reviews speak for themselves - this is a must-visit when in the Berkshires! Everything looked really good, so it was hard to pick what we wanted to eat. We chose the pancakes, an almond croissant, and an eggs benedict. We also bought a rye sourdough bread, which was worth every penny. We couldn’t finish our food (because we had already eaten beforehand like the pigs that we are), but the pancakes were still just as phenomenal the next day. They’re able to get them crispy on the outside but moist on the inside. That’s a very difficult balance to achieve!! The eggs benedict was also very good. Honestly, you can’t go wrong whatever you choose to eat here :)

More like a 3.5. We needed a quick bite for the road. We got two sandwiches. The overall idea of the sandwiches was not bad though the main ingredients were so so. The chicken was reheated which is perfectly ok though the chicken had cold spots as well a fridge taste that certainly didn't help to enjoy the sandwich. The turkey was ok though sweet. This might be a one time off in our case since the overall ratings are solid.

Yummy yummy bread. My first visit. I went in to get a potato onion loaf but they were out so I got a qtr of miche instead. (Photo). The nice young woman who was tallying my order offered to put my name on a loaf for the next day. I asked if I could go ahead and pay for it today. When I went in, although it was a different person, the moment I mentioned the potato loaf, she knew exactly who I was. Now that, is EXCELLENT customer service. Totally exceeded my expectations. I did not even have to pull out my receipt Both breads were yummy yummy.

Found this place back in January while scanning the area near Bousquet Mountain, where we planned to go snow tubing. Great relaxing vibe and the owner/bartender was very friendly and informative. There were only 4 beers on tap at the time, but we loved them all! Very unique brews and the owner had stories about each (including a recipe he described for one). Can't wait to go back in warmer weather to relax in the outdoor space.

Loved happening upon Wandering star brewery with FUGGLES THE CAT. 10/10 experience. Reminiscent of hanging out in grandpa’s garage with a chill yet sassy elder kitty and real nice local folks. And really good beer. Wanna complain about the cat? Then go elsewhere, haha! She is a staple of this place and sits on the bar stool next to you, just keep an eye out if you have any food, she may walk over to you across the bar top cuz she’s the OG resident of this place. Chris was very hospitable and offered us some delish bratwurst that he made before closing. Hope to return again soon!

Don't judge this brewery by its neighborhood or building. Go inside and meet bartender and owner Chris! He is a good natured English gent (and former banker) who has mastered the craft of good beer making!! I ordered a tasting flight and discovered Loopy Juice, a totally delicious girl beer! Light, tasty, and citrusy! My husband loved all the other amazingly different beers! I have tasted many craft beers over the years, but never met a brew master who puts so much love into his creative beers. Maybe it's because he is the beer maker, bartender, and one man band operator. An absolute must visit if in Pittsfield!! And you will love the friendly locals at the bar, along with the feline ambassador who greets you!! Plus, you can enjoy playing pool and darts!! #Supportsmallcraftbreweries

I cant decide on a word to describe it. Rustic maybe, meaning nothing fancy, but a sweet kitty greeted us at the door so we were hooked. I enjoyed 2 tangerine wheats while my husband had one and the Shed Head. Who knew there was a brewery so close to mom's, so glad to visit while we were in town from GA.

Enjoyed this spot! Beer was good and the owner/brewer/beertender was a super friendly and accommodating guy. He made us a makeshift table out of kegs in the shade when we didn’t have a spot to sit. Fuggle the brewery cat will undoubtedly be there to greet you. Good place to stop if you’re in the area!

It's....eh. Nice host nice cat but it's basically someone's backyard. Beers.....too many IPAs. No British or Scotch ales. I'm just IPA-d out.

I'll get to Sarah's fantastic beer in a sec. Sarah and Mike have been building their business in all the right ways. They are deeply connected to their community, always finding new ways to give back, and have created a deeply inclusive space where all are truly welcome. And Sarah's beers are great! Bring a couple of friends and get enough flights to taste everything. I'm not a gambling person, but I'd bet cash money that you will discover something you've not tried before, and love it! All of her brews are thoughtful and excellently well crafted. Grab some takeout from any of the tasty places withing walking distance if you are hungry as well as thirsty. If you enjoy beer that satisfies, surprises and delights, and want to support a business that is an active, inclusive and contributing part of its community, don't pass Hot Plate by.

Great brewery in downtown Pittsfield with a nice selection of beers and, of course, your safe bet, a flight! A drawback that is not really one: they do t have food, but they partner with local places and the Brazilian (99% meat) delivers to the bar; but they are plenty of grubs around, so your choice are really not limited. Really enjoyed our evening there, we will be back.

What an amazing brewery. A very unique beer selection and everything was excellent. I got a flight for $15. One notable callout was the coffee stout - it was perfectly balanced and not too bitter. The rural juror was also memorable and full of flavor. Every beer I tried was top notch. Highly recommend!

What a fresh establishment just off North St that Pittsfield needs. We sampled a variety of brews that were pretty good. The nitro oatmeal stout was ok. A little heavy on the coffee for this non-coffee drinker. Not as smooth as a fave I have elsewhere. Then i tried the Dunkelweizen, which was pretty decent, but I think my fave was the Dino DNA amber ale. Hopefully I can check out the new beers the next time I'm in town.

When I saw that this brewpub was literally next door to a police station I got worried 😅. Parking in the area isn't easy but I got lucky. I just loved everything about this place. Big seating area, almost had a rec room feeling, with plenty of games. Nice bar, very interesting tap list with a great variety. My saison was delicious, and the Belgian blonde was great too. The brew mistress/owner was super, great to hang out with. No food but I think you can bring some in. Cans available to go. Doggo friendly. I'd totally be a regular if I lived around here.

New exec producer. Always strong productions, thought provoking, very good acting. You don't have to drive to New York; it's right here in Berkshire County. Easy to get to, ample nearby parking. Dinner before the show is available Recommended.

A lovely and educational way to spend an afternoon. I had only two hours and was able to see a lot, but would recommend to budget 3-4 hours for a more complete experience. There are guides for some exhibits. While I wasn't part of their groups I did listen and they were engaged and informed. They also did a nice job of catering to a variety of ages from children through seniors. The grounds are so pretty--particularly for out of towners like myself who don't get to see this type of country terrain. I was particularly impressed with the round barn after tagging onto a tour to learn the details of the construction and its history. The tour of that building includes cows, goats and sheep. There are numerous other demonstrations and docents to give life to the exhibits--blacksmith, basket making, etc. Check the schedule before you go if you are interested in something specific to be sure you time your visit correctly.

Very knowledgeable staff that provides engaging presentations of Shaker beliefs, culture and crafts, and can answer questions with comprehensive historical detail. The grounds are beautiful, too, and each building features different exhibits as well as opportunities to interact with Shaker life from animal husbandry, to textiles, to the watery powered machinery, to Shaker songs and ceremonies.

One of the few places I hadn’t visited in The Berkshires and I was glad I finally did. Something for everyone of all ages here. Every aspect of the museum was perfectly curated, from the blending of contemporary art installations throughout the historical buildings to the gift store.

It was a rainy day in August and a great time to visit this historic gem in Pittsfield! The staff and docents were so kind and informed! Loved loved seeing and hearing the farm animals talk to each other! The blacksmith was very cool and showed us how to make a blade. Children can milk a big plastic cow replica, so fun!!! Adults will love the vintage REO car on display. Kids will love making crafts and everybody of any age will find it fun and educational! And the shop has lots of local honey and spices and much more for sale! A must see when vacationing in The Bershires!!

This was an amazing experience for my husband and I. We were able to create our own individual basket. The basket weaving instructor was very knowledgeable and was very attentive to each persons needs. Highly recommended.

I love market 32 even tho the last time I went I was looking for hatches and raised in us chicken and they only had one pack and I asked the meat guy if they had any more he said no so I was just being friendly and said I would rather have not have factory made chicken and he said then don’t buy it I WAS SHOCKED my nephew was on the phone he said what did he just say to you and I was like don’t worry about it

Super clean and presentable not ever too busy it's a small parking lot that has been well-designed very accessible for pedestrians the supermarket there is beautifully lit not all the best products in the world but it's the prices are cheap everybody is very friendly and and have the pharmacy across the way and even Marshalls if you need cheap cheap good-looking clothes or trinkets for the house and bedding or reasonable furniture that looks great and wonderful discount shoe selection. They're opening a 110 grill on the corner so after shopping you can get an easy dinner in a great atmosphere.

Went grocery shopping. They had a gorgious selection of plants outside. Ended up buying 3 plants. Great place to find everything you need. Shelves are well stocked and store is very clean. You have to bring bags but they also provide paper.

What a great day at The Common! No Kings Rally was Peaceful and enjoyable!!! Nice grounds and a terrific LARGE group of like-minded folks all about!

It's beautiful place to play on the playground Plus there is a basketball court there is a stage for Shakespeare company in the summer and there is lots of people everywhere it's a lovely one from place I moved here just to my children can play outside and once the cove it is dead everybody will be back out there again enjoying life. Pride in the Common was wonderful! The acts were wonderful and I'm really going to miss Boxxavine (not sure I'm spelling that right) and her snarkiness!! Lots of vendors and food but I wish there was Chinese food there. Looking forward to next year!!

Very nice park!The splash pad is also fun!We have caught the farmers market a few times.I'd love to give this park more stars but the public bathroom was atrocious with profanity written on the stall walls,no toilet paper or a way to dry your hands.It made for an awful bathroom experience for my 3 year old.

The playground here is fun for the kids, there's 2 playgrounds 1 for younger kids, one for older. the splash pad is decent, better than no splash pad. However... the locals tend to litter and leave dangerous paraphernalia behind. My advice, keep the kids at the playground / splash pad area. Avoid the gazebo, the field, and the stage area.

Love coming to the park with my son and playing some hoops and running under the sprinklers.

Wonderful Ball Park that offers a slice of Americana at its best. The only ball park that has a "sun break" because when the sunset's the sun is right in the batter's eyes. Top collegiate level. A fun evening out at reasonable prices for tickets, beer, burgers etc...with some evening games offering fireworks. A great compliment to the Berkshires many cultural venues. Bring your friends and treat out of town guests to this unique all American experience.

A good ole fashioned baseball game is what its all about. Very kid friendly and cheap. Its always amusing when the Sun delay occurs. When the sun sets in the outfield (Doh!) the game pauses because the batter can't see the ball! No matter what, it's a cheap night of fun!

A Bud, hot dog, baseball, fireworks. What more could an American want for a July 4th? I did have apple pie when I got home too. A classic stadium and an incredibly close game made for a great experience that could not be topped at any major league stadium. A load of fun!

Real old fashioned baseball in a family friendly environment. Happened to be there for fireworks afterwards, which made it special! Would be 5 stars if not for cold hot dogs!

The scoreboard is working and the sound of bat striking ball is singing! Baseball is back and the Suns are making it fun for young and old. Popcorn, peanuts, Cracker Jack's and, of course, hotdogs are available. The Suns play in the FCBL which is a competitive league made up of collegiate players. The concession prices are reasonable, and the drinks ice cold. Be prepared for a slight delay each game as the sun sets. Wahconah park is one of the oldest baseball stadiums in the world and is one of two western facing fields.

Not very well laid out - difficult to get to concession stands, restrooms and your seats. Also, the only wheelchair accessible seats are located in such a placement that the sun beats down on you.

If you go to Alta during the summer, I’d recommend making a reservation first. We walked by just as it opened for dinner and even though most of the chairs were empty, we were told they were fully booked. We managed to get seats at the quaint bar where they served a full dinner. The delicious meal was served in larger portions than expected. The crab cakes were crispy balls served with cream corn that tasted like chowder—a kind of deconstructed crab chowder, if you will. The radicchio and greens on top of the green pea risotto gave it a nice texture. The herb-encrusted cod was cooked well. Both dishes had a heavy buttery flavor, which made for a rich meal—one I’d prefer to eat leisurely at a table rather than squeezed into a bar, which quickly became very crowded.

What a great restaurant in the heart of Lenox!! Aurelien, a most friendly owner, has created a little slice of happiness for your taste buds as the sauces to his dishes are amazing!! Even his turkey burgers are juicy and tasty! Lisa's specialty drinks, created by Lisa, the bartender, is different and a spicy delight! The desserts are to die for!!!! A friendly and fun venue combined with fantastic foods for everyone's taste!!!

Great food! Mushroom risotto had great consistency and the celery salad on top cut through the richness. The oven roasted chicken was the star of the show, perfectly cooked and flavorful throughout. Service was more than accommodating with the owner checking in on us multiple times to make sure everything was taken care of. Coming back soon!

Walked in without reservation and got immediate seating at the bar. Great service but the kitchen was slower than expected. Last visit here we were a bit disappointed; the food had been under seasoned. This visit the food was excellent. We really enjoyed the pork cheeks bourgauigon and the glazed salmon with crispy skin.

Overall, my family and I were pretty dissatisfied with the food here. In general, the food was bland and the long wait times didn’t help. I got a cup of butternut squash soup (soup of the day) which was completely tasteless and couldn’t even be redeemed by salt & pepper. The cod, duck, and pork cheeks were okay. Cooked well, but the cod was room temp and the pork was also bland. Don’t think I’d recommend this place.

Heavenly retreat with superb facilities for outdoor listening pleasure. Lustrous grounds, with areas for picnicking, and a dynamite schedule that features a diversity of musical styles, primarily performed by Boston Symphony Orchestra or Boston Pops. Local famous artists (James Taylor, Yo-Yo Ma), and visiting artists come here during the summer. Food options are OK; best to bring your own food if you plan to picnic.

The Lawn at Tanglewood is the best place to be! Plan ahead, pack a picnic: Blanket, folding chairs, small table, wireless lamp or candles, ice bucket, food 🥖 🥐 🧀, wine 🍷, and thou. We were here again to see the soulful, heartfelt, best female guitarist and keyboard performer, beautiful Bonnie Raitt, after 4 years when we first saw her after the pandemic. Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🎸 🥁 🎹 🎼 🎶 🎙️ 🎼🎶

Loved walking around prior to the concert, plenty of space for blankets and chairs, you can only drink alcohol in your designated seating area. Bug spray would have been smart, we got an Uber from town which saved us the long line of traffic into the parking lot, but staff in parking could not agree on where ride share drop-off was (each stop point had to ask the next stop point). The verdict was "limo drop-off" would be the best thing to say because it drops you near the gates.

Anyone in area that can make it should really make an effort to try and go and see a concert at Tanglewood Was really an incredible experience for the price ($35). People bring legit tables and outdoor feasts with friends and family to enjoy music Something you need to experience to get Sound no matter how far you were from the stage was crystal clear Would suggest coming a few hours early as there's a lot to see around the venue but also because parking is crazy and so is the seating on the lawn. Good to grab an area and parking spot

Great venue for a concert. And the Lenox locals know how to party in the lawn seats. Charcuterie boards and all kinds of fancy spreads. Amazing! There's also great stands with BBQ, fried foods, quick self serve snacks and ice cream. It's easy to exit with West and East parking and great attendants.

Woah 😳! There was so much to explore! I had a pleasant time exploring the grounds before the show and during intermission. A great 👍 place to view a sunset! Oh, it is a good place to see 🙈 a live show. I like the partial maze in the garden area. You will not see Jack Nicholson yelling "Danny!" while carrying an ax! At least I hope you don't! Redrum! 🤫 Shh! The sundial, Whispering Bench, sculptures , the interesting looking houses and even a few of the trees. I was surprised I was not bothered by any 🐝 insects, especially 🦟 mosquitoes. The Koussevitzky Music 🎶 Shed, not the Author "Two Sheds" Jackson, was a good place to watch a performance. Large screens helped people who were further back 🔙 and on the lawn watch the show. The shed can get warm 🥵 on a hot night. They could use some fans to circulate the air inside. The lighting and acoustics were good. The food at the cafeteria was okay but overpriced. They did run out of items on the menu. Security did not hassle myself or anyone I observed. They will check ✔️ bags before you enter. I had no issues with parking 🅿️. There is plenty of parking 🅿️ available and it is free 🆓. There are a lot of bathrooms and a few porta potties. The bathrooms I used were in good condition. They do sell beer 🍺 here. Wheelchairs ♿ are provided for guests. One lady I chatted with actually had on delivered to her at the cafeteria. I came to see "A Prairie Home Companion" and I enjoyed watching it. I do not remember them swearing 🤬 as much at being overly political. I am going to recommend a visit. I may visit again depending on who is playing. It was a long drive for me.

Saw James Taylor, after the rain. Great concert. Pleasantly surprised by staff. Great experience from parking lot, ticket gate, concessions, and beer garden!

Wonderful food, excellent service. Pasta cooked perfectly (and we’re snobby about that). High quality ingredients. I took one star away from the atmosphere only because it was a bit stuffy, but it was a warm day. We would go back in a second!

Great Italian food! I thought the specialty lasagna was fantastic and I would easily get that again if I went back. I was also very pleased with the desserts, specifically one of the specials (brown butter cake with pistachio ice cream) and the tiramisu. Definitely check out if in the area!

We visited Z Frankie’s in Lenox for the first time and had a 5pm reservation. A gentleman greeted us and sat us at a cozy table for two. Shortly after, a lovely young woman came by to ask what type of water we preferred — and I ordered still. I’ve only ever been offered this in Italy, and it immediately set a wonderful tone. The water was excellent! For dinner, we had the chicken parmigiana, which was perfectly cooked, and the spaghetti was absolutely delicious. Everything was prepared beautifully. We will definitely be back to this wonderful new find of ours very soon. Carolyn and Bob

Excellent food, friendly service, lovely atmosphere, great wine and cocktails--what more could you ask for? On top of the regular menu, there are specials. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to see the separate vegan menu as well. Easily one of the best restaurants in the Berkshires. Don't miss out on the marinara sauce.

One of the best in the Berkshires! Great service, amazing food in a warm ambience. We loved the cocktails, and the Italian menu was amazing. The pasta was fresh and their own sauces are fantastic. Service was great as well.

Frankie's was a nice place to eat, but it's important to keep things in perspective because in this area there are several other places to eat that are even better. I didn't like that they seated a table right next to ours when there were 10 other empty tables for 2 available. That's right, immediately after we were seated they seated the next party right beside us while the rest of the dining room was empty. I understand that as a restaurant fills up that all of the tables need to be utilized, however it would be a much better balance to space people out so they feel comfortable and not crowded. The tables are rather close together and I prefer to have more personal space while dining. The food was good. Good, not bad and not great. The service was good overall. Some staff was friendly and some was neutral. Overall we had a nice meal, but I wouldn't go out of my way to dine there again, especially since there are other options in the area that I enjoyed more.

Smoothest pavement and best maintained rail trail we've ever had the pleasure of riding. Saw lots of turtles! Look for them in the murky shallows.

14 miles of paved, clean, beautiful woods, lake and mountain views. This is the nicest bike trail we have used.

This was a fun place to ride. I’m sure it’s a better place to ride in the summer because it was cold! Nov. 1st is pushing the window. Even riders passing me were telling me how cold they were. The wind really whips out there, and headwinds can be trying. But it was fun. I felt like I was the only person on the path not on an electric bike or a motion-assisted bike.

This is the best rail trail in the far western part of the state. There is no good parking spot at the northern end yet, but you can park on a street nearby. The surface is great.

We have been to the Lenox area for a vaiety of reasons, but always skipped the hike at Kennedy Park! Finally, on a beautiful 80 degree summer late morning, we were lucky to find the one available parking spot out of the five or six that were made available to the public. The hike begins with a sign board that includes a map and thermometer. We decided to locate the banced rock site and proceeded to hike to the location using the Pondview trail to access the Balanced Rock trail. It was relativeley difficult and narrow in some spots with 40 degree inclines and declines. That being said, it was quite an enjoyable workout. There is apicnic table at the Pondview, but very buggy. Overall, a 90 minute hike turned out to be good one. We will do this again during future visits in Lenox. Wear hiking shoes! Also, some of the trails are missing markers, with a random yellow markrr on the Turkey trail!

Wow this is an amazing park with plenty of scenic trails. The view is particularly stunning. The most difficult marked trails are not so bad if you’re hiking, coming from a first-timer. No entrance fee, definitely recommend. The entrance is a bit hidden but it’s just farther down the street from Church on the Hill. If you get lost, the locals are incredibly friendly and they’ll direct you to the right location!

Kennedy park is an absolute gem in the Berkshires. Easily accessible from downtown Lenox and well maintained, but heavily forested, with incredible views and ruins to explore. The parking lot near town is small, so if you’re driving you may have more luck on reservoir road or the Acadian shop

Beautiful walk in foliage season. Surprisingly very little pine and mostly beech, oak and maple. Use of the trail map is key to anyone not familiar with the area.

Parking area for about ten cars. One picnic table nearby. One bulletin board with minimal information on it besides the usual warning about the risk of Lymne disease. Poorly indicated hiking paths, but yes, the woodlands traversed are gorgeous and peaceful.

We sat at the bar and had Shannon as our bartender. We ordered the Berry salad with chicken,truffle fries and the Berkshire board which was a mix of olives,cheeses,a baguette, Cranberries and a bunch of other goodies. Food is always amazing here in our opinion. One nice day we’d like to sit out in the deck. Bartender was good,polite,friendly She Beautiful views of the lake as well!

There are four things good about this restaurant. The view of the lake. The very nice server. The pear margarita. The little neck clams. Very disappointed! Especially after I googled restaurants with a View with good food since I’m on vacation! I would never go back. The Caesar salad dressing was not good and the lettuce was a little oily and wilted, a bit sour. The white anchovies were good! The scallops which cost $40, were overcooked and rubbery, not juicy whatsoever! Whoever seared them does not know how to sear scallops! Unacceptable! I guess I should’ve just got the pizza and the clams! So my bill was $87 plus a tip which I would never take it out on the server! 100 bucks up in flames! I’m sure they’re apologizing for the slow service and the food quality quite a bit! I saw a four top that hadn’t gotten a single bit of food in at least an hour! Sure, two older woman walked in and they got their fish and chips quick! Well, it’s fried, it’s the easiest thing to get out to the floor! Do better!

I’ve been coming here since its opening and this place absolutely has the best view in the area! Super fun to hangout at lunch or dinner with friends or significant other. Just glorious!! This last time came to celebrate my daughter’s 18ty birthday and the manager, Candace and staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly!! Yay!

Had my wedding at Proprietors Lodge in July, and I highly recommend booking your next event there! Leading up to the event I met with the wedding planner several times to go over the details. We did a food tasting which was a great experience. The day of the wedding Elissa and Candace were amazing to work with. They made me feel so comfortable, and executed everything perfectly. All the staff there did an amazing job. My wedding was absolutely perfect and I can't thank everyone at Proprietors enough!

Jenny was the nicest waitress ever. She hooked us up with the best appetizers and entrees. We will definitely come back one day. Everything was delicious, and the view was spectacular.

Decided to give this place a shot since our usual place Matt Reilly's closed and the Lakeside, which took over closed. The view is great!! The food is good but the staff seems overwhelmed. Hopefully they work out the kinks. Best of luck!

We've dined here twice so far (one weekday lunch for 2 and one weekend large party dinner) and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. The outdoor seating is lovely, the wait staff is friendly, and the food has consistently been flavorful and well-prepared. On both visits, we tried to order a specific menu item that unfortunately wasn’t available. While that was a bit of a letdown, the dishes we ended up choosing were excellent and left us just as satisfied. Everything we've tried so far has been wonderful. We look forward to returning again soon—this time hoping to sit at the bar and experience the restaurant from a different perspective.

Great Local Eatery in Pittsfield MA, Very local and you can they have their regulars who come often. The serve some of the best mini hot dogs I've ever had. They have a great snap to them and the finger rolls they serve them on are top notch. The meat sauce is above average. It is a Cash Only establishment so make sure you have cash, however they do have a ATM in store. I would recommend if you are in the area.

The people were nice, the Hot dog itself was good quality, onions were good, Meat sauce however, had too much clove and allspice taste , and also too mellow, not enough vinegary punch or zing, also the bun was a little too soggy and water logged, it became chewy like it was microwaved, all in all the hot dog was ok. This is a real review, I believe if you'd like to improve this business and make a fortune, pay a visit to Famous Lunch in Downtown Troy NY they have a hot dog that people could really learn from. Have a bite of their dogs with the works.. they're cheaper by a good deal and much better all around for sure. Loaded with onions and sauce, you pay less and get more and it tastes much higher quality. If you bring back that knowledge to this area in Massachusetts, you would make a whole lot more money 💰.

I've been taken here with my parents since I was a kid. If you are looking for a quick burger, fry, or chicken sandwich its the place to go. They are also famous for their mini hotdogs. If you like a hotdog once I a while I guarantee you wont be disappointed. There hot dogs are the best! That's what their known for.

Had a fantastic stop at Teo's Hot Dogs in Pittsfield! Their famous mini hot dogs are perfection—custom-sized buns, snappy little wieners, and a chili topping that really pulls everything together. Service was quick and friendly. The space is casual and nostalgic—great for a local bite or fun stop-by. One note: the décor could use a refresh, but honestly that didn’t matter when the food delivered so well. If you're in the area and craving hot dogs, this is a must-visit.

This place was a great find! First off the prices here are amazing. The everything burger (although without the conventional bun) was amazing and so was my grilled cheese, but the real star was the hot dog. I absolutely loved the chili sauce and the buns used for the hot dogs. They are “mini” but surprisingly larger than what I thought they would be. The staff here is friendly and nice (as well as quick) and the whole establishment has a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quick eat in Pittsfield.

This was the most perfect venue for our wedding. We got married last weekend and although the weather didn’t cooperate, the crew and staff at Balderdash made everything perfect. I cannot thank them enough for the most beautifully decorated barn in the best wedding ever!

Christian and his team at Balderdash went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make it the best event we could have ever imagined. From start to finish, they helped us plan an event that perfectly met our vision. They are helpful, kind, thoughtful, and so much fun. It's a stunning venue and our guests absolutely loved it. What a lovely day. The views here are spectacular. It is kid and dog friendly. Spent a leisurely afternoon listening to music , drinking good wine (they have beer and non-alcoholic options) and there was a food truck. Plenty of Adirondack-style chairs or tables with umbrellas. And for wine drinkers...the grapes come from California and are processed here.

Honestly the best winery experience we have had! Absolutely beautiful setting - large grassy areas, gravel area with tables and chairs, cool indoor area overlooking to wine making process. The “take a chair” policy is such a novel and ideal way for set up - it was great to grab chairs, a folding table, and set up wherever we wanted to for the day. They had amazing wines and the flights were a very cute set up.

We hosted our wedding welcome at Balderdash, and it was absolutely wonderful. The property is stunning, and Christian and his team were so kind and communicative throughout the process. Christian went above and beyond to help us coordinate a last-minute concert for our event, which made the evening even more special. Our guests raved about the beauty of the property and the warmth of the staff. We can’t wait to return to enjoy the wine and the views!

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Christian, Donna, and the entire team at Balderdash Cellars! This past weekend we hosted a large-scale wedding welcome celebration at the winery with nearly 170 guests. The event required coordination with an out-of-state caterer, a local catering company for production and service, a tent, numerous rentals, and lots of moving pieces. Every single detail — and every extra request — was met with grace, kindness, and professionalism. Christian and Donna made us feel completely supported and cared for throughout the process, and their team went above and beyond to ensure our couple and their guests had the most incredible experience. Balderdash is not only stunning, but it is also one of our absolute favorite spots in the Berkshires to kick off a wedding weekend. If you’re looking for a place that will wow your guests and work with you like true partners, this is the place. We are so grateful to this amazing team!

This grocery store reminds me of what Whole Foods/Bread & Circus used to be about 20 years ago… in the best way. Samples, samples everywhere. Fresh mozzarella made in store daily (try the pesto stracciatella, incredible). Wide variety of house made prepared foods, like various cold side salads and mains such as fried chicken or Thai salmon burgers. Tons of organic options Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The only knock against this place is that parking can be tricky. There is more parking up the hill if needed.

High quality, gourmet grocer. Excellent produce. Great cheese shop at the Great Barrington Guido's. Good sushi. Plenty of prepared take-out food. An excellent collection of soups. I think my favorites are Moroccan lentil and white bean Chile with cilantro. So much more. Go there!

Great market. Tons of options and really good quality items. Coffee from the cafe was alright. Espresso was burnt but the to-go food options are delicious. We tried the cheddar chive biscuit sausage egg and cheese and the bacon egg and cheese burrito. Both 5/5. Smoothies also delicious. Coffee left me wanting though. Adding a picture of the breakfast sandwich because I didn’t see any in previous reviews.

Great store! Lots of fresh produce, health food choices, and ready made meals. The sushi is better in NYC, though 😊 but other than that, Guido’s is wonderful. We loved the pizza!!

Consistently great produce, meat, fish and any ingredient I might need. The best in the Berkshires. Also? A good kitchenware section as well as florist and gift items. Kind helpful staff throughout the store so you never have to go far to find someone to help you locate an item. My only issue ( which does not affect my rating) is that since curbside service is gone there are no item/price listings on your website to help me make my list before shopping. Can you please bring that back? Really really helps for budget/planning reasons.

Wonderful produce, bread and cheese selection - but pricey. I bought the best apple cider donuts, and wonderful baguette. They also had the supplement brand I needed.

This park is a wonderful, family friendly park. It has open fields, disc golf, basketball court, children's play area, trails, and a stream that flows through it with a table and areas for dogs. Easy to bring a stroller with you, but might be difficult to have wheelchair access through the whole place.

A variety of single and double track trails for mountain biking and hiking, through some really nice wooded areas. The disc golf course is fun for the kids but in need of some new baskets. But it's free.

The playground and disc golf course are great! My three year old plays here a bunch. There are usually a few kids but never crowded. The disc golf course is beginner friendly, as it is more open, but still presents a challenge to most players. The only downfall is a good portion of people do not pick up their dog poop, so watch out!

So happy to have found a local spot where dogs can openly socialize. What a welcome community!

Very cool park with lots of trails in the back. One leads to the 'sith'; an abandoned dam/reservoir structure that offers very interesting uses of shadow and geometry for photos. Scattered among trails there is also a very nice waterfall, ruins of a cabin, and a rusted out shell of a very old truck. You'd have to explore quite a while to find all four but I highly recommend if you're into that sort of thing! (Also my son approves of the playground, and I don't play, but I've heard the disc golf course is decent as well).

Very nice city park with lots of open spaces, trails, sport fields, and disc golf. Lots of good dogs, but unfortunately not all good owners. Dogs routinely let off leash throughout the park, even in clearly marked sports fields, leading to lots of dog waste throughout the park. 5 stars for the park. 0 stars for far too many dog owners.

Great place to get a morning workout in. Today is shaping up to be a beautiful day, so by about 8:30 the track did get a little busy but people were aware and allowed runners to pass with ease. Plenty of parking space. Utilized bleachers and open field for some strength training variations and stretching, highly recommend this location for early morning outdoor exercise!

Great track and fields and a nice playground for the kids. No pets allowed is probably the only bad thing I could say about this park, but I guess it’s a plus if you don’t have dogs

Small but my family and I go there everyday because it has a quarter mile track and a park for the little one.

It's clearly stated that pets are not allowed here at all, yet people still bring their dogs and don't clean up after the "mess".

Not good for walking in the winter. Was 1 sheet of ice. It is an awesome place to in the spring, just not now.

Love using the track. Me and my wife go there every now and then and do our walking.

But hey, thanks for the mile walking exercise! 😉 Maybe offer that Union St. is across from the Capitol Theater. Not a bad seat in the house. Outstanding acoustics! Look forward to more great performances!!

The B-Q theatre was renovated around COVID time and is in great condition. Great stage,clean bathrooms,friendly and helpful staff (paid and volunteers),good lobby. But the “plays the thing”” and shows are uniformly excellent every time. Most recently “Eisenhower”,one man show,was captivating she exceeded all expectations. Two standing ovations still not enough for this program.

Saw an excellent production of Joan--all about the life and times of Joen Rivers. The venue attracts some serious talent year round, including pre-Broadway productions.

Award wining top quality theatrical productions in downtown Pittsfield. I have been a regular here for several years and have rarely if ever been disappointed.

La Cage Aux Folles was an excellent production and the theatre was comfortable with a great view of the stage. Also, all of the theatre staff from the box office staff to the ushers and concessions were fantastic!

Very fine chamber music performances. First rate. Very well run.

Tanglewood ends. South Mountain Concerts begin. Year after year, an entry into autumn and a gentle Sunday afternoon of chamber music.

Visited for Christmas Songs & Hot Cocoa Party with my daughter. Had booked tickets online before the registration closed and had the email confirmation. Upon reaching, our names were not in the list. When I showed them the email, they did not want to look at it but took us inside to a table and seated us in the far corner even though there were tables empty. People who arrived almost 30 mins later were made to sit in front of us sometimes even pulling up other tables and putting it in front of us. I felt we were being singled out. After that my daughter spilled her cocoa which didn't help either and we decided to leave. One gentleman was trying to be helpful and it looked like he was trying to compensate for the indifference shown by others. I have attended many similar events in Pittsfield and have never had such an experience. I am unsure if the reason was whether they thought I did not have the tickets or if it was the color of my skin.

Rites of Passage was contained in this building - grateful for it! Amazing performance art.
