Water park
Adventure World is Perth's premier theme park, offering an array of thrilling rides and attractions for visitors of all ages. The park boasts over 25 exhilarating rides, including the award-winning Abyss roller coaster and the enchanting Dragons Kingdom. Additionally, Adventure World is set to unveil a $7 million mega water slide, making it the steepest, tallest, and longest of its kind globally.
Just loved Adventure world! We've been to the 2 water parks in Melbourne where we live and all the theme parks in Gold Coast. Honestly didn't expect much in Perth but wow we're we surprised. The roller-coaster was super fun! Only about a 5-10min wait, I loved how the split the line from front and back seats so it's faster. Personally I think the ride could have been faster but still great. The Goliath was epic, a must see. Cracken was great too, very similar to the ones in the east with little wait. Go karts go about 30kmph so a little slow but kids loved it, you need a tshirt and closed shoes. We had our 3yo with us, so we spent a lot of time at the toddler/little kids area. Great space and so many rides. I think adventure world beats all the east theme parks in this department. The kids were there for 2hours and will loved it. Loads of car park space, lockers and toilets for everyone. Highly recommend going.

Heaps to do and see, for all ages. We were they from opening and took snacks to save money for a souvenirs / matching bracelets. Lots has improved since this place opened. Fond memories for everyone.

Definitely come to Adventure world during the weekdays between morning to afternoon, there is less rush and you’ll make your money’s worth by coming. Sure is one of the most expensive parts of Perth, but utilising your season pass will pay off the fun. Perhaps one of my favourite rides was the abyss, the dynamic and the thrill gave an excitement which made me go on for six times. Food on the other hand was satisfactory, I ordered cheese pizza which was quite expensive considering how small it was, it came out quite burnt. Luckily, the lady was nice and gave me another pizza but it was still burnt. But I’m not a fussy eater so I ate the pizza anyway. Overall Adventure world is costly but it is a nice place with a nice environment and SpongeBob like song choices. It’s a family fun environment and has great ride options however they should add a lot more rides. The cost is way too much so you should get the season pass. Overall four star rating

Took 5 grandchildren there durning the school holidays. They had a ball. I hardly saw them I got to sit in the shade and relax with a wine while they played and had rides etc.
Janette B — Google review
We’ve been Adventure World season pass holders for two years now - mainly because it’s right next to our son’s ice hockey training at Cockburn Ice Arena, so it’s been a convenient place to unwind after games. Last year, we went four or five times and had some great experiences with friendly and proactive staff. However, our recent visit (Sat 18 Oct) was disappointing. The park was crowded (as it often is), and we waited around 40 minutes for just one ride. It’s a consistent issue - if you’re there for only 2 hours, you’re lucky to experience three or four rides. What made this visit particularly unpleasant was an incident on the pedal ride (the one where you cycle around the park) at 16 55 pm on Sat 18 Oct (giving you the exact time so you can find out who was working on the ride then - 2 young ladies - and provide them with adequate training). A group of teenagers behind me repeatedly bumped into my carriage, even after I asked them to stop. It eventually caused me to be pushed into a staff member at the unloading area, who initially thought it was my fault. Although the situation was later understood, it was disappointing that one of the attendants chose to turn it into a joke rather than handle it seriously (her exact words to the teenagers were: so, are you gonna pay me money to forgive you for your behaviour?) It didn’t feel professional or safe at all, and there was no: so sorry you had to go through this - zero empathy (instead I was accused of bumping into the attendant on purpose). Adventure World has a lot going for it - beautiful grounds, fun rides, and family-friendly facilities - but staff training really needs improvement. Team members should be better equipped to handle guest behaviour, have difficult conversations respectfully, and maintain a sense of authority without escalating situations. We always bring our own food because the food lines are long and prices are quite high when the park is crowded. Unfortunately, after this experience, we’re reconsidering renewing our season pass next year.

Adventure World is a fantastic theme park that offers a great mix of thrilling rides, exciting water slides, and a fun atmosphere. I recently visited the park and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the incredible selection of rides. The Abyss roller coaster was an absolute adrenaline rush, with its steep drops and fast twists. I also enjoyed the Kraken, a unique water slide that sends you plummeting down a near-vertical drop. For those looking for something a bit more relaxed, the park also offers a variety of family-friendly rides. The water park section of Adventure World is equally impressive. The Kahuna Falls is a massive water playground with multiple slides and water features, perfect for cooling off on a hot day. The Lagoon is a huge pool that's great for swimming and relaxing. In addition to the rides and water slides, I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the park. The grounds were well-maintained, and the facilities were spotless. This made for a more enjoyable experience overall. I also had the chance to attend one of Adventure World's night time events. The atmosphere was electric, with music, lights, and special entertainment. It was a truly memorable experience. Overall, I highly recommend Adventure World to anyone looking for a fun-filled day out. With its thrilling rides, exciting water slides, clean environment, and amazing night time events, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Ben F — Google review
Sunday session, not that crowded, but got busier through the afternoon. Plenty of food and beer available, roller coaster and water slides were great. If you're into the gokarts, get that done first before it gets busy as the line can be slow.

Adventure World in Bibra Lake, WA, is a fun theme park located just 20 minutes from Perth. It has exciting roller coasters like the Abyss and thrilling water slides like the Kraken. The park is great for kids, with areas like Dragon’s Kingdom for young children and Kahuna Falls, a big water playground. Adventure World is open from late September to late April, and you can enjoy all the rides and attractions with one entry fee. The park is known for its friendly staff and clean facilities. Adventure World is a fantastic spot for a day of fun with family and friends! 🎢🌊

Explore the unique and captivating Coogee Maritime Trail, an extraordinary underwater adventure in Western Australia. This trail stands out as the first of its kind in WA, offering an array of exciting activities for visitors to enjoy. One of its notable highlights is the Omeo Shipwreck, situated just 25 meters from the shore, making it Perth's most accessible snorkel site with a rich history to uncover.
Such a magic spot and a little hidden which is even better for us locals. Gorgeous from.underwater and above. In summer or winter.. Love the crystal clear water and the days spent here.. now with large steps and easy access
Renae P — Google review
This beach has clear water and soft sand, and you can even go snorkeling to explore the remains of an old shipwreck. The water is calm and shallow enough to swim around the wreck. There are freshwater showers on shore, but keep in mind that the public restroom — where you can change — seems to be the only one, and it’s not located near the shipwreck site.
Tracy K — Google review
Always love going to Coogee Maritime Trail, always see lots of different sea life. Great place for snorkeling/scuba diving.
Isabella V — Google review
Wonderful spot to snorkel. The wreck is in great condition and in fairly shallow water, suitable for beginner to expert snorkelers. Visibility is perfect most of the time. The actual trail goes deeper and deeper and shows you great marine life. Every now and then there's a stinger, so watch out for those. There are no facilities and the nearest public shower is a 10 minute walk or 5 minute drive south.
Jonas V — Google review
Lovely little swimming and snorkelling spot. The Omeo wreck is only metres from the beach and great for kids and first time snorkelers. Plenty of fish to see but can get very busy with restricted visibility from all the sand being churned up. The snorkeling “trail” is a little overgrown and indistinct but we had fun swimming around looking for it. A few hundred metres down the beach is a netted off swimming area with floating pontoon. Was very popular with lap swimmers. Note parking is minimal be prepared to park in the streets and walk a bit to the beach.
David C — Google review
Great location with an awesome beach and snorkeling spot.
Zack C — Google review
Clear blue crystal, perfect for diving and swimming.
Mamade H — Google review
Good easy dive. If diving go early as some of the snorkelers get a bit pissy with divers.

Playground
Nature & Parks
Bibra Lake Regional Playground in Cockburn offers a wide range of play spaces, including sensory and nature play, as well as various play equipment. The playground features water play, making it perfect for hot days. Highlights include the tree walk, flying fox, and musical play. It caters to all ages and abilities with attractions like a double flying fox, treetop rope walk, in-ground trampolines, and water-spraying bulrushes.
A hidden gem. A great place to bring kids to have some fun. From climbing to flying fox, from swings to slides, this place has a lot of activities to do for kids for all ages. Plenty of parking around and there are toilets on site. Plenty of picnic and BBQ places as well. There are walking/running tracks which have nice views of the river.
M.A. K — Google review
It is such a good place to bring your kids for weekends entertainment and fun. It's free for all. The playground has a good number of playground equipment and amenities. Kids seem to love the net-house style bridge. There is wildlife around the lake - a lot of birds. But lake looks really dry on the sides except in its centre.
Sherab T — Google review
Great enclosed playground for all ages kids, loads of climbing things, slides, swings, sand and water play, you name it. Plenty of bbq plates and seating area too. Ours favourite has to be the flying fox!

Wonderful place to bring the kids! Impressive playground suitable for kids of varying ages. We spent a memorable afternoon having a picnic lunch with family and our grandson enjoying himself thoroughly.

Thank you for looking after this amazing park . We spent several times a week in the. Thank you so much for the amazing team that designed the entire concept of the park, surrounded by fruit trees as well. My two little ones always aim to get fresh fruit from the trees apart playing with every single toy there.
Mauricio P — Google review
This is a brilliant playground. It’s fully fenced and has clean toilets. Locked at night and checked in the morning makes it a safe and fun place for very young to approx 10 years old. Heaps for kids to do. The only downside is it gets busy and the size means you can loose your kids within the playground quite easily. But try pick and end then move to the other end. There is a water play section so consider a towel if you little one likes to get wet. There is a coffee truck and ice cream van but many families bring a picnic or BBQ. Parking can be busy on sunny days/ weekends. Also has all abilities elements including a flying fox down the south end. All up it’s well worth a trip, if your kids are energetic you can do a lap around Bibra lake which I haven’t done myself but I believe is 5-7km loop and very popular as it’s flat and looks shaded for good portions of the walk.

Cockburn ARC is a state-of-the-art aquatic center offering a variety of pools, including an indoor leisure play pool with water features for kids and inflatable obstacle courses. The facility also includes Bandicoots Play Centre for indoor fun. It's a massive recreation center with multiple pools and slides resembling a water park, making it a favorite hangout spot. Visitors can enjoy huge waterslides, heated pools, playgrounds, climbing gym, and sports courts.
Love going 2 the arc gym has everything U need and more and being able 2 have access 2 the pools spa and sauna is great!!.very friendly and helpful staff at the arc.it has pretty much everything I need when it comes 2 working out .great place I would highly recommend going here!!!!.

Please make the basketball courts 24 hours, getting a casual shoot around in is a hassle on the weekends due to how many people there are and every weekday afternoon the courts are taken up for planned events/sports. You’ll be the only high end 24hr indoor basketball centre, and I’d be willing to pay a membership for it 👍 I just wanna hoop early in the morning around 4-5am

So you work hard all week and the only thing you want on Saturday morning is to go for a swim and steam room. No. It's not possible. Cockburn Arc won't let you. This is because out of 8 lines in the indoor pool, 6 are closed and you are not allowed to swim there. Yeah, swimming classes only and a giant inflatable water caste. I guess it pays more to have swimming classes. Only 2 lanes are open to to us. 1 is reserved for playing and 1 is either for walking or slow swimming. So, again if you want to swim, you can't. Anyway, after enquiring about the situation at the information desk, I was told, "I understand you, you can go to swim on lane number 6" only to be kicked out by a swimming instructor 5 minutes later. The staff said, why don't you go outside to swim? Well, is June and is winter, that's why, you know? So I asked the guy at the information desk if I could please talk with his supervisor. Well.... guess what? The supervisor was on break!! Sure... silly me! So, when I asked when they will return to their break, the answer was " well I m not sure.. just hang around..." Yeah, sure..... Ah did I mention that, despite the City of Cockburn sinking millions of dollars for the redevelopment of the centre, and I am a City of Cockburn ratepayer, in addition to being unable to swim on a Saturday morning for a lack of available swimming lanes, the SPA was out for approximately 3 months this year and the steam room is still unavailable... Do you think they gave a discount for it? No. You pay the same rate but you receive half the service. Nice isn't?! When I enquired about this in the past I was told that if I didn't like it I could either cancel or suspend the membership. This is what you call a 5 star service!!!!! Well done everyone, your service and management skills are outstanding!!!
Andy — Google review
Been a member for a couple weeks now focusing on using the gym. They are in the middle of renovations and are due to close for almost two weeks so that would have been nice to know before signing up, but maybe I'm just looking for excuses to delay joining the gym. The facilities overall are pretty good and I'm excited to see how the new floor turns out. Changing rooms are good, membership fee is reasonable and you can put membership on hold for 12 weeks per year. The equipment is in good condition and the giant window let in a lot of wonderful natural light. The wristband tag for lockers and entry is good and there are wipe dispensers everywhere. But with all those wipe dispensers, requires staff who actually check them. Frequently I see them empty. A lot of the machines aren't even plugged in and the technogym integration is incredibly frustrating. So much that I don't use it. There are also a very limited number of machines and some only one of, hopefully the balance will improve. The layout is also a bit of a challenge. Overall I like it, looking forward to them refining some rough edges in the future.
Charlie J — Google review
I have rejoined after some time away. The new gym set up is fantastic with lots of new machines and everything you could want. Unfortunately though, there does not seem to be the same commitment to hygiene that used to be here. Lots of people now are getting around with no towel, and not wiping machines down either. I have noticed there are less staff on the floor when I go (mid-afternoon) and they seem more interested in chatting than working.
Darren S — Google review
An absolutely great venue for swimming 🏊‍♀️ 👌 and taking your family for swimming 🏊‍♂️ activities. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, as well as children pools and other areas as warm water rehabilitation pools as a well as a sauna in the rehabilitation pools area. A part of the whole Cockburn Aquatic Centre that also have a gym, Fremantle Dockers Club Shop, a remedial massage centre and a coffee shop. Ample parking across the road and easy access from parking areas.
Casey 2 — Google review
Desk staff on Saturday at 5pm 18/10 at the entrance were unhelpful and rude. I have been a gym member for almost a decade, and never encountered such rude ignorant staff. Quality of the gym has gone down over the years, but fees just keep going up. Overcrowded, not maintained properly, unclean, disorganised, courts always overcrowded with constant events taking over. No wonder 50% of people there use the courts without paying. Rude staff get anal about suspension dates with loyal paying members like me but allow non-paying non-members to just get in and use the courts without paying. Go do your actual job on the non-paying non-members and be respectful of your actual loyal members.
Nathan Y — Google review
Wow excellent recreation centre. 5 pools. Olympic size,2 x 25 metre pools, one for disabled people including people in wheelchairs. Small size pool and baby pool with waterside. Playground
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Cockburn, the Cockburn Central West Playground is a delightful destination for families and friends alike. This engaging space features an impressive array of play equipment that encourages exploration and adventure. Kids can navigate through tunnels, scale climbing structures, or tackle a large rope spiderweb while enjoying the natural surroundings. The playground's design incorporates elements that blend seamlessly with nature, providing a refreshing alternative to typical plastic play areas.
This park is absolutely amazing. I visited here with my daughter and she had the most amazing time ever - she couldn't stop using the slides! The play equipment is suitable for toddlers and older. If possible, try and park on Midgegooroo Ave - it's the most convenient parking.

Lovely playground, few structures for kids to explore. Quiet area by the lake, 2 bbq and picnic tables available, no toilets.

Nice little playground we missed several times as it was on much lower ground than the road we drove pass regularly. Yet the nature scape based playground didn't fail to keep me and my kids entertained for at least an hour .(before it gets dark) Lots of climbing and wandering to do for my kids.
Matthew Y — Google review
Nicely designed play area with some unusual structures. Downside - No toilet facilities, nearest ones at ARC.
James T — Google review
A bit tricky playground with the parking along the main & busy road, not very safe for kids. A bit waste of resources there

A great playground for kids who love adventure and little ninjas who love obstacles. Cafes and eateries just a short walk away, and only a short walk from the train station too. BBQs available and toilets neraby.
Kids P — Google review
My son loves this playground and so do I. Its not too big that you can't keep track of your kids but big enough that they can explore. The equipment has a natural feel and not the usual plastic. The play area is not enclosed but it's hard for kids to run off onto the road so you know they're safe

Kings Park and Botanic Garden in Perth is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places to visit in Western Australia. Spanning over 400 hectares, it combines stunning natural bushland, landscaped gardens, and breathtaking views of the city and Swan River. From the moment you arrive, the park feels peaceful and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to unwind, explore, and connect with nature. The Botanic Garden is especially impressive, showcasing an incredible variety of native Australian plants. Walking through the gardens, you not only enjoy vibrant colors and unique plant life but also learn about Western Australia’s diverse flora. The wildflowers in spring are absolutely spectacular and attract visitors from all over the world. For families, the park is ideal, with plenty of open spaces for picnics, playgrounds for children, and shaded areas to relax. One of the highlights is the elevated Lotterywest Federation Walkway, which takes you through the treetops and offers stunning views of the Swan River and Perth skyline. The park also features beautiful memorials, statues, and cultural sites that add a sense of history and reflection to the visit. What makes Kings Park special is that it has something for everyone—nature lovers, families, fitness enthusiasts, and those simply seeking a quiet moment with scenic views. Whether you go for a morning walk, a family outing, or to enjoy the sunset over the city, it always feels refreshing and memorable. Kings Park and Botanic Garden is truly a jewel of Perth and a must-see destination.
Pravin R — Google review
Kings Park and Botanic Garden is a vast park in Perth with an adjoining botanical garden. I visited Perth mainly to see the wildflowers in spring, which are famous here. During my three days in Perth, I came to Kings Park all three days. Although the weather wasn’t great for the first two days, the final day was sunny and bright, and I was able to see many plants shining beautifully in the sunlight. The park is very large, and walking around the entire area requires some stamina, but the Botanic Garden section is a comfortable size to explore on foot. I realized that many of the “wildflowers” here are actually well-maintained and cultivated under the management of the garden — not truly wild in the sense of untouched nature. It was a bit unexpected, but I appreciated the care and effort put into preserving and showcasing so many native plants in one place. Since the park sits on a hill, the view of the city is also beautiful. It’s a relaxing place for both tourists and locals alike. You can easily reach Kings Park by taking the free Perth BLUE CAT bus, which is very convenient for visitors since the regular bus system requires a transport card or exact cash.

This place is a blessing in Perth. So close to the city and extremely accessible. Would be a great day out for a picnic or a nice stroll. Plenty of parking or take a free public transport from the city. Enjoy the native flora and fauna while you have your picnic or social catch up in the park or one of the restaurants.
Deepak S — Google review
We walked around the park for 4 hours and still didn't cover half of it. The look outs, tree top walk, the gardens, the walks are all amazing. Perth really has outdone itself and this place is definitely a gift to the locals and visitors.
Kylie R — Google review
We visited just as the spring wildflowers had arrived into bloom. Various flowers across the botanical area of the park with plenty of colour even if we did have to dodge the odd rain shower. Make time to walk the war memorial and flame, plus the glass elevated walkway. Our fave flower was the Kangaroo Paw, something we had never seen before. The park is easy to get to, just take the free Blue CAT bus from within the city centre.

A must-visit when in Perth! The panoramic views of the city skyline and the Swan River from Kings Park are absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. It's such a peaceful oasis right in the heart of the city, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic on the well-maintained lawns. The State War Memorial area is very poignant and adds to the park's rich history. You can easily spend hours here just soaking in the beautiful atmosphere and scenery. A true gem of Perth. Don't miss the treetop walk!"

Kings Park is immaculate and the views over the city are amazing! The beautiful gardens are filled with WA native flowers and the ANZAC memorial is a must see. There is also a memorial for the Bali bombings in 2002 and 2005. We enjoyed some lunch at the Cafe, a little expensive, but it was OK.

Established at the end of the 19th century, it offers tours of its vaults and an 1899 melting house. Visitors can witness demonstrations of gold bullion bar production and explore various gold-related exhibits. The facility also features interactive displays showcasing the coin and medallion-making process.
Great tour with informative talk by our guide George. The gold pouring part is definitely the highlight. Being able to take home your own minted coin is a nice touch too. Very popular so don’t just turn up - book online if you want to choose when you get on a tour. Plenty of very expensive options to give as presents for that special person!!!

The tour is really cool, filled with lots of interesting tidbits. The highlight of course being the live gold pour! You get to take home a medallion that you can see being minted. David the tour guide was great. The 9.30 am tour size is smaller.

A very informative and interesting place to visit. We did the mint tour, shout out to our guides Nicole and Dakota, they were very knowledgeable, professional and engaging. We loved the interactive activities but the highlight was definitely the 1 tonne coin. Worth a visit.

The tour was fantastic, seeing Sophie pouring molten gold to form an ingot was something I'll remember for a long time. among the other highlights was the giant 1 tonne $,1000,000 gold coin, with a current value of $214,000 000, and the chance to lift a 2.4 kilo gold bar if you're in Perth a tour of the mint truly is a must

Fremantle Markets, established in 1897, is a bustling indoor market offering a wide array of goods including food, local produce, clothing, and handicrafts. The market is housed in a historic building and has become a hub for local talent, supporting fashion designers and musicians. Visitors can also enjoy nearby attractions such as bookshops and boutiques along South Terrace. Additionally, the area offers dining options ranging from inspired bakeries to fish markets.
Definitely go and check out this place. It was quite busy but worth fighting the crowds. Food was absolutely in abundance. Lots of stalls to look at and the atmosphere was terrific. The fruit and veg stalls were super fresh and if I lived locally I'd definitely be a regular visitor.
Kylie R — Google review
Pretty nice place to walk around! The market’s split into two parts — one side has more products and goods, the other side is the food and wet market. The goods are mostly the usual market items, but still fun to browse. The food section is the highlight — lively atmosphere, good smells everywhere, and lots to try. Worth a visit if you’re in Fremantle!
Eunice Y — Google review
Pretty small and not the most amazing of markets I’ve been to. There’s some food on the other section that was interesting like Burek and Tibetan but I think if you’re really tight on time you can skip this place. Only the coffee beans store I saw was truly unique. The market also has started having pop mart and labubus popping up, making it more commercial than i thought. Interestingly the urinals are pretty cool, first time I’ve seen them like this.

If it's your first time visiting, this iconic market must be on your list! It's a small market with local artisans. Could be crowded if you come around lunch time on a sunday. We rounded it twice, once to have an overview & the second time to buy what we wanted. The honey cake was a standout imo. It was so so good! Maybe just have a slice.. or two! We also tried Lola's giant spring roll (crispy pork) which was also good and very filling. A bit on the oily side but the vinegar and sweet chili sauce makes up for it. Perfect tasty snack!

A must-visit in Perth – full of life and local charm! Fremantle Markets is one of the best places to experience the real Perth vibe. The atmosphere is vibrant and colourful, with buskers playing music, the smell of amazing street food, and people from all over the world wandering through the old heritage halls. I loved the mix of handmade crafts, vintage clothes, Aboriginal art, fresh produce and international food stalls — there’s something new around every corner. The building itself is beautiful and full of history, which makes the visit even more special. It gets busy on weekends, but that’s part of the fun — the energy is incredible. Everyone’s friendly, the food is fresh, and the music gives it a great local feel. If you’re visiting Perth, you can’t miss Fremantle Markets. Go during the day to catch the live buskers and soak in the atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone who loves local culture, food, and good vibes!

-Nice place to visit for FREE. with a lively local vibe and lots of interesting stalls. However, it’s more of a one-time experience, once is enough. -Kindly note the trading days of this place. -There’s a toilet available, but seating areas are quite limited, so it can be tricky to find a spot to sit and eat. -Surprisingly, there weren’t as many yummy food stalls as expected. -Overall, a fun stop while in Fremantle, but not something I’d return to often.
Edlyn A — Google review
What a bustling place this is. Full of independent and food stalls it was packed when we visited and this was only a Sunday in early Spring. It’s an historic old building worth a walk through and a browse. It was the vibrancy that struck me. Almost as manic as a Turkish Bazaar.

Perth Zoo is a charming and historic destination that offers a wide variety of animal exhibits, behind-the-scenes tours, picnic areas, and cafes. The zoo is home to over 1200 animals from 164 different species originating from Asia, Africa, Australia, and South America. Visitors can encounter African Lions, Asian Elephants, Giraffes, Penguins, Numbats, Meerkats, Rhinoceroses and many more fascinating creatures.
One of the best zoos in the world. I am from Singapore and I am truly loving it! It's well organized and it's easy to locate where we are from the map. The animals are well taken care of and beautiful. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The plants and trees are amazing! I bought some souvenirs from the gift shops too! Highly recommended!

It is a great place especially for young children. Big and spacious all around. Huge grasslands for them to run around to expend their energy. There’s also a cafe and a playground for children of different ages to rest and enjoy A wide variety of animals, animal enclosures were all well designed to provide the best viewing experience knowing that animals don’t stay put at one place, there are different angles in enclosures for viewing

Would have been 5 stars HOWEVER it was a very rude shock to find that the drinks vending machine that advertised 600ml drinks as being $5 has actually also charged me a $3 service fee PER DRINK. Drinks should be advertised as $8 if it's going to cost me $8. Outrageous vending machine charge aside, we had an absolutely wonderful day at the perth zoo. There is way too much glass/perspex. This stuff is so hard to see and photograph through😭😭. There were a number of animals we were unable to see but that's how zoos are. It's a beautiful zoo to walk around, the grounds are well established, well maintained and absolutely gorgeous. The paths are pretty easy to follow and animal placement makes sense. I love the rainforest - where the deep dark wood is at the moment - so so pretty. My son loved the suspension bridge. He also loved the playground and the gruffalo trail. The new monkey towers/ropes near the main grass area is fantastic and i bet the monkeys love it too. The reptile house is incredible. The nocturnal house however - it was soooo hard to see anything at all. It was just too dark. We've been to a lot, unfortunately perth, yours is a miss - hopefully it's in the pipeline to be updated like your reptile house obviously has been. Lunch was pricey and tbh not fantastic. I don't know why zoos can't make good food!?!?! And $7 for a golden gaytime🤯🤯. But at least there hasn't been a $3 service fee chucked on that one - yet. Every staff member we came in contact with was brilliant. I'm really happy you still give out paper maps too - so so so much easier than telling us to look on our phone, in the sun, when you can't see the screen. Also, kids like having the map. We were at the zoo from 10am-4:30pm. Saw everything but the Australian animals (we went to a wildlife park yesterday so figured we could safely skip that bit to save time) and had a thoroughly wonderful time. That charge has left a sour taste in my mouth though.
Frances — Google review
Kids thoroughly enjoyed it! Solid day out, lots to see and you really never know what's around the corner. Clean and tidy, great facilities! Feeding the animals and talks given by the staff made an interesting, educational trip worth while! Thank you Perth Zoo
John T — Google review
Spent almost a full day there. Kids love it as animals got pretty up close. Actually think it's better than many other zoos as you're literally next to the animal, such as the penguins. Gibbons were the best and highlight of the day, swinging all over the park for our viewing pleasures. There's also a sheltered quiet area for resting while you sit there and watch the Gibbons rest play and do their thing. Toilets were clean and lots of water refill sections. And the massive playground just next to the cafe was a bonus where you could watch the kids while eating.. and lots of birds to chase for kids. Just make sure you don't step on their poop or get chased/swopped by them if you're having food. Love the zoorasic enclosure too, kids can try to paleontologist while parents rest.
Shannon R — Google review
Great well-kept, wide variety of animals, reptiles and birds. Would be amazing if there were more opportunities for interactions like animal feeding. The cafe and play area is always busy. The current dinosaur display is pretty cool!
Daphne — Google review
Perth zoo has Great areas like the cafe and surrounding areas, dinosaurs, reptiles & penguin enclosure. But pretty much every other enclosure was dated, unmaintained, poorly designed for veiwing ( nocturnal house is the worst )the actual animal and hadn't changed since my last visit 11years ago. Other community funded zoos like Rockhampton Qld put it to shame and their free entry! I'll be back a few more times this year to enjoy the zoo and hopefully see some of the animals that were off display or invisible.
Tyron R — Google review
Perth Zoo is a tropical oasis filled with animals from around the globe. It, in my opinion represents a fantastic day out for the family. The facilities are second to none. Take a picnic and make a day of it. Or buy your food there. This does add to the budget spend. There is plenty to do and see. Do your homework and roll up for daily activities at allotted time points. Enjoy.

Elizabeth Quay is a vibrant waterfront destination located on the edge of the Swan River in Perth. It offers a variety of attractions including shopping, cafes, boat tours, art installations, and museums. The area hosts numerous cultural festivals and events and features stylish bars, children's play areas, and diverse dining options. Visitors can enjoy scenic views of the river throughout the day and into the evening. Elizabeth Quay also serves as a departure point for ferry rides to South Perth and other boat tours.
The Quay provides some of the best photo opportunities in Perth, framing the modern city skyline with water and the symbolic Bell Tower. The atmosphere here is a blend of romance and relaxed leisure. Sunset is gorgeous, in my opinion it’s the best time to visit as the area transforms with illuminated bridges and buildings, excellent for an evening strolls. Not far away is a carousel that is a favourite with children and adds a touch of classic fun to the waterfront.

Elizabeth Quay is a scenic harbourfront with modern office towers, dining spots, and plenty of space for a leisurely walk. From here, you can catch the ferry to South Perth in just 10 minutes, making it a great half-day experience when combined with a riverside stroll or meal. Walking across the Elizabeth Quay Bridge and then hopping on the ferry offers some of the best views of the city and river. The ideal times to visit are early morning before lunch or in the late afternoon towards dinner. Do note the area is open and unsheltered, so it can feel quite hot during the day.

We had such a lovely time at Elizabeth Quay today. The kids first had fun at the Island Playground, exploring, climbing, and playing to their hearts’ content. After that, they cooled off and splashed around at the Water Playground, which was the perfect way to enjoy the warm day. We then took a nice stroll along the quay, soaking in the beautiful city skyline and peaceful river views. It was such a refreshing outing – full of fun for the kids and relaxation for us.

This place is a haven for personal relaxation, offering a sense of calm and tranquility that truly helps me unwind. With its stunning and serene scenery, it's a perfect backdrop for quiet reflection. For those who enjoy being active outdoors, it's well-suited for running, biking, or just a gentle walk. Do note that most shops and restaurants in the area close their doors around 6 PM.

A little hard to park to come here but it was OK. The app it wanted me to pay wit didn't load properly. But i rang the council and they advised there were also machines on the footpath to use so we got it sorted. It was a lovely area to chill. Had it been a more appropriate time of day we could have got icecream. There were a lot of people using the space.

Lovely Quayside. Modern and clean. Several coffee shops, restaurants and bars. All good quality with extensive menus. Also come here to book tickets to Rottnest island and fabulous day out to a beautiful island with the cutest animal the Quokka. All outlets on the pier open early about 7.30/8.00am. high recommended for a relaxing beverage either a cold beer or a wide selection of beers

Situated on the shore of the Indian Ocean, the WA Maritime Museum in Fremantle is a captivating waterfront attraction that offers a glimpse into Western Australia's maritime heritage. The museum features various galleries showcasing the state's deep connection with the ocean, displaying leisure boats, sailing vessels, and commercial pearl luggers. Visitors can explore iconic vessels such as Australia II, which won the America's Cup, an Oberon class submarine named HMAS Ovens, and Jon Sanders Parry Endeavour.
This museum vertically turns it from a small building full of old boats into a 360 experience. Being able to see exhibits from above and below really makes this museum pop! Handy elevators give full access to all abilities. Each exhibit is lovingly dressed, resulting is in a feast for your eyes. For the wee ones there is A craft area on the ground floor, including a colour in digital aquarium. Plus a boat that you can enter and spin the captain wheel. An excellent cafe and bathroom facilities are also present

This is a world class museum that has been refurbished not long ago. I planned to stay there for half a day, but ended up spending a whole day there. I am glad that I visited the museum before starting my WA tour. The exhibits and the related explanation provide very comprehensive background information on the sites that I was going to visit. This made the tour so much more interesting. There is an admission fee of $15.

If you're going to see the submarine during school holidays, book in advance. The website is terrible and hard to find booking button, so just be aware. Easiest to just google "HMAS Ovens Tour" and click first link that cones up. I had mum over from melb, and she had specific questions which the manager helped us out. He was amazing, so big thanks to the staff there. Syd who gave the submarine tour was also amazing, ex submariner who knew everything in detail. Fantastic opportunity, must do. Few tight spots and stairs though for oldies.

The Platter was a value for Money, it included Lobster and Oyster.. for $140, the drinks however wasn't priced before hand and it costs 6.60 each. You need to be present at the table when food has arrived otherwise the seagulls will devour it.

Nice place to chill out and have family fun. Kids get to play at playground. There's a ferris wheel. Seafood restaurants are nice. Nice view of the ocean. 🔵 My hubby and I walked from Fremantle Markets to Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour in about 20 mins. We were at Fremantle area the entire day. 🟧 We had a very late lunch at a famous Fish & Chips shop here at the harbour area. ● The fish & chips I ate here at Fremantle is possibly the best in my life. 🟤 I shall never forget the taste, flavour & texture of the fish batter. The fish meat was so fresh, I think it was cod fish. And the batter was so light and crispy. It was truly an unforgettable meal. 🟧 The Australians pour vinegar lightly on the fish and chips. That is how they eat it there.

Optus Stadium, located in Perth, has been recognized as the Most Beautiful Sports Facility in the World. It hosts a variety of major sporting events throughout the year, including AFL games with enthusiastic crowds and international matches for soccer, rugby, and cricket. The stadium also welcomes musical performances by renowned artists like Ed Sheeran and Guns N' Roses. In addition to its sports and entertainment offerings, Optus Stadium provides a stunning venue for weddings.
recently visited Optus Stadium in Perth with my son, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how modern, clean, and well-designed the stadium is. The location by the Swan River adds to the atmosphere, especially with the city skyline as a backdrop. The facilities were excellent – plenty of seating with great visibility from almost every angle, clear signage, and helpful staff. Getting in and out of the stadium was smooth, and there were lots of food and drink options to suit families. My son especially enjoyed the variety of snacks and the energy of the crowd. What really stood out was the atmosphere. Whether it’s for AFL, cricket, or a concert, the stadium has a way of making the experience feel special. Sharing that excitement with my son made it even better – his eyes lit up at the size of the ground and the roar of the fans. Overall, the walkthrough was not just informative but also inspirational for my son, deepening his love for cricket and giving him memories he won’t forget. It’s a must-do for families with young sports fans, especially those passionate about cricket.

We had the stadium tour and Terri was a very nice guide. The stadium was beautiful and I hope I could come back with one day to see how it could accommodate 60000 people and host a big game. The tour allowed us to visit many sections including the vip lounge, changing room, media room, etc.

An excellent time spent together with friends and acquaintances, this weekend at Optus Stadium, where the derby of the season took place. The atmosphere was electric, with Fremantle Dockers facing off against West Coast Eagles in a thrilling Western Derby match. The stadium was buzzing with excitement as fans from both teams cheered on their favorites. The Dockers' recent form has been impressive, therefore they won, with a predicted margin of 60 points The event also featured a special launch of a limited-edition pie, the Slow Cooked Beef and Beer Pie, crafted specifically for local footy fans. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience, with thrilling action on the field and great company off it.
Radu A — Google review
We recently did the Optus stadium tour and city view lunch. On arrival there were approximately 20-30 children running around / screaming / throwing balls within the ozone room most of whom were attending a separate tour at the same time as our group. We were told we didn’t need to check in as our guide would call our name. However, due to the noise from the other group and the 8-10 children in the group we were in, we and others in our group could not hear our names being called out, so it was very disorganised while we had to ask around what name was called. For adults doing the tour without children, I do not recommend weekend tours. We did not know that so many children would be doing this tour and regretted booking for a weekend. The tour itself was great and hubby and I enjoyed seeing parts of the stadium we hadn’t seen before. This was definitely a highlight. The tour guide was unaware that some of us had lunch included in our ticket. Our tour did go over time by 15-20 minutes (which was fine as we were enjoying it) however, because we had a booking at the City View Cafe, we were subsequently late and they had cancelled our booking. Luckily they were quiet so could honour our booking. The website stated that the tour would conclude outside the City View cafe, but ours did not which then took additional time to get back up to the cafe. We had a good time overall but the process could do with some fine tuning to make it smoother.

With eight permanent galleries showcasing fossils, specimens, historical artifacts, and immersive displays of live music and entertainment history, visitors can explore Western Australia's rich social and cultural history.
Absolutely loved the Terracotta Warriors Exhibition 🤩 Being able to see these 2,000+ year-old treasures up close was incredible — history really came alive. Perfect for kids and adults alike, with informative displays and a really engaging setup. Recommend for a family outing or anyone fascinated by ancient history!

I visited about two hours before closing, so it wasn’t crowded and I could enjoy the exhibition at a relaxed pace. The displays were very impressive and made me feel as if I had actually traveled to China. The history was explained in detail through videos and exhibits, which made it very interesting. Many of the displayed items were made of precious metals and still shone beautifully, which was hard to believe considering their age. I’d love to come back next time to see the permanent exhibitions as well.

Took the time to visit Boola Bardip Museum and by chance they had a special exhibit of the Qin terracotta warriors. It was a very well presented exhibit with a very beautiful, very serene visual representation of the proposed afterlife of the emperor. Following that the museum was very informative with the specifics of WA and the geology of the area and the mineral rich land it occupies. If you have the time it is worth a visit.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the Terracotta Warriors exhibition at WA Museum was way more impressive than I imagined. The exhibition is laid out really well, with lots of interesting info and interactive displays that make the whole experience come alive. It’s not too crowded, photos are allowed, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. If you’re in Perth, this is definitely something you shouldn’t miss — I left feeling like I’d just travelled back in time to ancient China!

I mainly went to learn more about the aboriginal community and had the opportunity to take the tour with Aprita, and it was absolutely worth the trip. I had no idea about their sad history until my visit to Australia, and hearing bits and pieces along my travels has been eye-opening. Having the WA history being brought to light for others to learn about directly from an aboriginal was impactful for me. I wish Aprita all the best and hope she never loses her passion.

The Blue Boat House, located at Matilda Bay Reserve near Kings Park in Perth, is a charming and iconic spot popular with tourists and brides for photo shoots. Built in the 1930s, this cute blue boatshed sits at the end of a wooden jetty on the Swan River and offers limitless Instagram-worthy shots.
The Blue Boat House is a beautiful and iconic photo spot in Perth — definitely a must-visit if you’re in the city. The view is stunning, whether it’s sunny or rainy — each weather gives it a different kind of charm. We recommend coming early in the morning, as there’s usually a long line of people waiting to take photos. If you’re lucky, you might even spot dolphins in the water nearby!

This place needs no introduction as it is already an icon of Perth city. It is a simple boat house at an unique location. You can get some very artistic pictures here. Best to come during golden hours. We parked at the car park near the park, so we had to walk some distance to the boat house. Most people just park at the roadside of the junction opposite the boat house.
Larry L — Google review
It’s one of the most photographed subjects in Perth. As a result it is very popular. So go early in the morning to avoid a steady stream of selfie hunters. Check out the direction of the sun to make sure the front of the building isn’t in the shade.
Paul H — Google review
Picturesque little boathouse. Although it seems to be a Perth staple I’m not sure it would be worth going out your way for. We did it as we were already at the botanic gardens so only a slight detour. It’s off quite a busy road, think it was more entertaining to watch oblivious tourists stand on the cycle path and nearly get hit by cyclists.
Ciara L — Google review
I literally just spent 3 minutes here taking quick shots and videos, and just leave! Nice photo and scenic spot but very noisy with cars zooming past. Nice walk along the path tho. Took free bus from CBD.

One of the iconic landmarks that always has a long queue of tourists waiting to take photos. I arrived around 5 p.m. There was still a line, but it was not too long. The wind was quite strong. There is nothing particularly special about it. It is simply a popular photo spot for tourists.
Sara M — Google review
Image taken at 437pm in July. Foreground is in the shade and background is nicely lit. Both can easily be corrected post photo but it was nice to have the sailboats in the background. Images shown are out of camera. Protip: there are better angles to be had aside from the dock Also, visit Eliza just a few steps away. A larger than life broze statue about to dive commemorating Crawley bath. It is more impressive the the mermaid statue in Copenhagen
Eddie B — Google review
The cutest bluest boat house you've ever seen, although I haven't seen many, and there weren't any boats. It was originally a boat house, and it's now blue, so it's called the Blue Boat House. Perth gets straight to the point when naming things. You may have to wait for photos - unless you're a Perthonality or wearing sequins and get invited into other people's photos. Take a brolly if it's raining, park on Kings Park Avenue to access it safely without stopping traffic. Fabulous location for a maternity shoot, selfie, wedding photo, family photo or a mug shot (to make those custom photo mug things). Photos by Andrew Robertson from Gascoyne Media.

Nature & Parks
Located in Scarborough, the Whale Playground is a beachfront attraction featuring a massive blue-and-white climbing frame designed in the shape of a whale skeleton. Children can explore the structure, navigating through the netting in the body of the whale, sliding down tunnels, and swinging on bird's nest swings hanging from the tailbone. The playground also includes scattered whale bones for kids to play with, soft sand areas, and a wooden fort with a cubby.
Whale theme Playground located at Scarborough beach.!There are plenty of swings and slide. It is the perfect for kids.
Michael Y — Google review
Didn't get time to try the swings, it was a TEST to try and get actual photos of these swings tho cos kids were on and nearby them the whole time😭 Okok swing count: 6!! Half sand, half kidsafe squishy rubber stuff underneath Almost all rounded rubber ones so that's good, no shade on any tho so 💔 None of the chains were rusty either! Rope swings looked safeish, as well as this mystery seesaw swing?? In picture #2 that I've never seen before?? It had like 2 swings hanging from it, so crazy. Not pictured is the 2 swings the kids were on the whole time! (Normal rubber rounded ones) Lots of variety, again tho, only half sand and no shade!! 3/5

The playground is well designed, all the equipments are good in quality, the playground is suited to most difficulty which also means the playground will be very crowded at times.
Rhetestp S — Google review
Such a Great Spot for Kids! It’s got this huge blue whale structure that the kids absolutely loved climbing on. There’s heaps to do—slides, nets, swings, etc. It’s right by the beach, so the views are amazing, and it’s super handy having cafes and places to grab a coffee nearby. The whole area feels really clean, safe, and family-friendly. Park BBQ available as well. Perfect place to let the kids burn off some energy while you relax and enjoy the ocean breeze.
Taher J — Google review
This is one of the best playgrounds you will find in the northern suburbs. It's good for all ages. It's got an amazing slide and some swings, heaps of sand, shade and it is right by the beach. Also some BBQs are a bit further so what else can you ask for? Some tables and benches, water ... Love this place my kids love it too!
Sophie P — Google review
Not much shade for the kids. The granite whale head slide is great for the young kids. Apart from that not much for the little one, older kids (6yrs up) would find this playground more suited.

Found through social media, this place boasts a spiral walkway leading to stunning vistas of the serene lake and surrounding suburbs. Along the stairway are resting benches for visitors' comfort. Besides enjoying the scenery, visitors can engage in bushwalking and hiking adventures nearby.
What a great place to climb up to the panoramic view! Don't miss walking up the limestone path on the other side of it, as you will find another lookout with a sweeping view of the ocean and Fremantle. What a great place for fitness as well. These stairs are a gift to public health. It may seem daunting at first to do a few sets of these finally built stairs, but highly worthwhile to persevere and reap the healthy rewards. Awesome leg workout. Love coming here to do sets of stair climbs to work on health and fitness.

I used to incorporate leg day at Manning Stairs into my training. Don't do it at night as you can't see and fall over. Enjoy and push it hard at your own pace. Great place to train hard.

Great location. Being relatively new the facility is in great condition. The ice is perfect, at least in relation to its competition, the ablutions are clean, the cafe is fairly priced and the staff are very friendly. There is a self serve DJ set up which is a great feature. This is a great location to bring your date, or kids for a great night out.

We love coming to Cockburn Ice Arena. The facilities are always clean, well looked after, and it’s such a welcoming environment. Our family attends skating lessons and competitions, and every experience has been positive. The coaches and staff are professional, supportive, and really create a great atmosphere for learning and enjoying skating. It’s clear how much effort goes into keeping everything running smoothly. Such a fantastic place for skaters of all levels. Highly recommend
Michelle H — Google review
Lots of fun for those with a bit if experience with oce skating. For those first timers, i recommend getting some tups or hints from someone because theres all types of skaters there - some fast that tend to stay around the middle but some hang around the wall and may not always watch out for the beginners. Last night (Friday evening) was a little crowded for a special event but not too bad. The arena is cold inside, so wear warm clothes. The Frostbite Cafe and 401 cabin is warm and great to have a bite to eat qnd something to drink. (Get in before 8:45pm and you'll be able to have something to eat and drink there.) Cabin 401 was so welcoming, nice and made so many adjustments for us. They had great customer service and the food and drinks wwre good. Our steak was large and cooked well with a really good serve of chips and large salad. It was delicious. I can't thank them enough for going out of their way for us. Thank you!! The staff at the skate hire kiosk were really helpful and seemed friendly and knowledgeable. Overall a great experience for us. The only thing I noticed that could perhaps improve was the customer service on the front desk and at frostbite Cafe and maybe check in on the beginners on the ice a bit more, but it was quite busy and late so I dont blame the staff for being tired! I dont know how they keep up with all the kids and adults alike. The games were fun for those who knew how to skate. Thanks for the good work everyone in making it fun and reasonably safe enough.
Melissa N — Google review
Awesome place to come for a night out doing something fun and active. Being so close to Cabin 401 gives a close and delicious dinner option for before as well. The cafe is great for a snack while skating too.
Teniele — Google review
really good ice compared to the rink in malaga, and they have a warm cafeteria as well. skates might hurt your feet so make sure to buy the premium ones if you want a better experience. and wear warm clothing, like a down jacket, and warm pants, cuz it’s really cold.
Alice — Google review
It was a very quiet Monday, which is actually nice, but it takes a while until we get a staff member to let us in. The ice was smooth and the rink was spacious. It's recommended to check the time on the website before you go there because one session is 2 hours. The only regret is that we did't get the comfy skates so hubby got blisters, but I was alright. Overall we're happy with the experience .
Honest K — Google review
Amazing! We travel a long distance just to attend the incredible classes here. The coaches acknowledge skill and appreciate the effort of their students. The atmosphere is so happy all the time, everyone enjoys it here. Never returning to any other ice rinks - so worth the travel!

Beeliar Regional Park, located in the suburbs of Perth, is a vast natural reserve spanning 3,400 hectares and encompassing 26 lakes. The park offers a range of activities including walking and cycling trails, BBQ areas, playgrounds, and various nature trails such as Manning Stairs and Nyungar Tourist Trail. Visitors can explore the diverse wetlands and enjoy the scenic views while encountering local wildlife like bandicoots and ibises.
This is a great place to walk. Hike around North Lake and associated wetlands. In spring the Arum Lilies and other wildflowers are stunning. The winter of 2022/23 was wet, so the lake and wetlands have plenty of water. The main path runs around North Lake - but there is a network of small paths to explore.

Besides the random ball of human hair i pulled out of the blanket and the dodgy door lock, its pretty comfortable and somewhat clean. Lots of wear and tear and budget for what you pay for. Staff are friendly and accommodation is convenient. You have complimentary tea and coffee, a little fridge and kettle. The gardens are absolutely stunning and vibrant and the pool refreshing.

A wide variety of play equipment and my children spent 4 hours of the afternoon here. Well facilitated with BBQ pits, drinking fountains and public toilets. Good that it is also gated so there's less risk of young kids running out unnoticed. As a bonus, there was a coffee truck there which was not there on an earlier trip. I also managed to get up close and personal with a friendly bandicoot and an ibis.

We recently hosted my son’s birthday party at Laser Corp, and it was a fantastic experience! From start to finish, everything was well-organized and fun. The atmosphere was exciting, and the kids had a blast playing laser tag. Our host was friendly and the kids had a great time. She guided the kids through the games. The kids couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had. I highly recommend Laser Corp for any party or event. We’ll definitely be back for more fun in the future!

I had a terrible experience with the one of the staff Natasha, when some of the kids forgot to bring their pants instead of shorts she blamed it on them and instead of handing the spare pants to them she throw it at their faces. She also swore in the presence of some of the kids as she was trying to get one of the guns to work. Not come back here again I recommend Lazer blaze instead

Absolutely fantastic! My 11 year old had his party at Bibra Lake and it was wonderful. We joined an older boys party and it ran so smoothly and the kids just fit right in and they all had so much fun. I was getting messages from parents after the party saying that their kids had the best time I was impressed with the facilities. I didn’t play but just wandered around the bush grounds taking photos of the boys (just my group) in their teams and all I heard was laughter, strategic planning, hilarious banter, teamwork and comraderie! They looked like they were really enjoying themselves. We will definitely be returning for parties for my other children when they are old enough

This was our second time going back for a 9th birthday party. We just want to say a HUGE thank you for another great birthday party and party bags ! Natasha is totally on the ball with getting things organised and patiently responding to any queries. On the day, Kate was absolutely amazing and so flexible to accommodate a late arrival and making sure that everyone got to join in the fun. We all had a blast (think the adults enjoyed it the most) and the boys were on a total high when we left ! Wouldn’t be surprised if we book in soon again 🤪.

Amazing! So interesting, and having someone that actually served on the ship provided incredible insight into daily life aboard, recommend this to everyone, even if you’re not interested in submarines! I think my partner enjoyed it even more than I did!!

A really informative and in-depth tour of a submarine. Getting to walk through the innards of the submarine was a unique experience. Garry who led the tour had served on the same boat and added a lot of very interesting detail along the way. Was amazing to see what submariners had to go through while at sea. And Garry busted a number of Hollywood movie myths along the way

John our guide was knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. The submarine is huge and confined at the same time. It was a fantastic tour, and although I did hit my head a couple of times whilst inside, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I would definitely do it again

We had an absolutely great time on our tour !! Our tour guide Sid was very knowledgeable and kept us interested the whole time, We learnt so many things about the submarine and the crew we had no idea about. Highly recommend going on the tour of the HMAS Ovens
Kaitlyn L — Google review
I've heard a lot about the Submarine as my mate was crew back in '85 for a short period of time. We went to the Maritime Museum on Sunday and had a look around. It is a great Museum and we enjoyed it. I have not been before but my mate has and was looking forward to showing me the Sub. Unfortunately there was only one place left on the tour that day. It was recommended to us to book in advance. The staff were very friendly and informative. We has a very nice coffee at the café but had to sit outside as there must have been some sort of function as all the inside tables were reserved. There were shade umbrellas outsind over the tables but were not really adequate. Some shade sails would make a huge difference. We will return to see the Submarine another weekend and probably book first.
Neil F — Google review
Had a great time with tour guide Alex, who had spent many years serving on submarines and patiently answered our questions. It's obviously a bit cramped inside so avoid if you're claustrophobic, but it was super interesting. Book inside the maritime museum and make use of the free locker for your bag.
Adelina H — Google review
A very interesting submarine tour! It was a little adventure to explore the interior of a submarine. The Submarine tour was led by a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide and lasted approximately 30-40 minutes. The amount of pax per tour is kept at not more than ten people at the same time. Overall experience was very informative with detailed explanations by the tour guide.

The park features Manning Lake and a limestone ridge, offering picturesque views and diverse natural landscapes. Visitors can enjoy various amenities such as expansive playgrounds, BBQ and picnic facilities, smooth paths for cycling or scooting, and open grassy areas for leisure activities. Additionally, the park provides opportunities for birdwatching and wildlife observation around the healthy lake.
Calm & serene. A great place for picnic. Full of wildlife & birds. Loved this park! Spots to watch sunset; Manning stairs or cookburn lookout point.

This is literally my weekend must go park :) Very family friendly, there’s a couple of BBQ areas, kids playgrounds, a small basketball court, nice tracks for walking/running/cycling around the lake. People also often walk dogs at park. And even better, there’s a big ladder for everyone to climb, leading to a beautiful ocean view at the top.

Amazing spot for a walk. Family could have a barbecue here, and the kids have plenty of playgrounds to play in. Highly recommend this place. Before the summer dries up all the water.

A couple of playgrounds around the lake, toilets, easy parking, large grass areas and a variety of walking/running tracks with great ocean views.

I had no idea how good Manning Park was! It's like a small King's Park tucked away in Spearwood/Hamilton Hill. Beautiful lake, lawns, walking paths, climb to a lookout that sees out over Cockburn sound the hills and beyond. Definitely going back

I spent almost 6-7 hrs in this park almost 3/4 days a week with my daughter. Such a lovely place with Azelia Ley Homestead Museum. Best and clean, Play ground with clean rest rooms. The trail and look out is awesome… Dogs are allowed on leash and all are friendly. Good for picnic, with BBQ area and picnic table.

Lovely Park. Great for big and small, dig and Yoga lovers. The Lake is 1.6km long so nice for a short with smaller kids or dog. The top of the stairs offer a great view over coogee beach and the lake. Tons of BBQ, drink fountains, toilets and playgrounds as well as a basketball hoop and space yo kick a footie. Lots of parking. CAREFUL there is absolutely no light so if you want run or climb I'm the dark bring a head light.
