That’s place is known no locals! Food is very delicious and cheap! Do not expect nothing fancy inside but I came there for good food and I got it! I liked the service provide by nice woman - fast and nice! We took chicken curry 🍛 plus drink and we spent 21 dollars for all!! Highly recommend !

Best local restaurant in Roseau. Come during breakfast for their “Creole Breakfast”. The codfish fritters (accras) are also my favorite and only $1ECD each! Kind staff and great value. Will definitely return!!

Cool ac plus awesome smoked chicken callalou. This is a must on a Saturday. They also make and sell a rum punch that does not disappoint.

Good local food. Cash only no AC on or fan. Plan to wait. As has been common during our stay even a short menu will have selections that aren’t available. The main pork was tender with flavorful gravy. Rice had beans salad and vegetables.

My go to place for lunch these days. I usually call to order and usually my order is ready by the time communicated to me. The food is always tasty and never disappoints. I would like to see payment cards being accepted and perhaps some parking (reserved) for patrons. All in all a fantastic place for food.

When we came here, the restaurant was out of most of the items on the menu. A question would be answered with "let me find out" and a disappearance of 15-20 minutes. When the food arrived, it was decent, some parts edible and some parts better. Serving sizes are generous. Service is standard Caribbean time slow / relaxing pace. Room is simple, not decorated nor elaborate.

Great place. Name of restaurant did not match but we found it. Food choices were varied but a few of the menu items were unavailable. Everything was fantastic. I would highly recommend and would most definitely return. The staff were super friendly and provided excellent service.

Third time trying to eat at this restaurant and we succeeded First time it was closed when it was supposed to be open, yesterday we called and they said they are open and when we got here we were told that they are not serving any food because they don't have any waiters...so finally we made it. The waiter seems to be doing most of the work whilst the waitress seems to sit around a lot and rolls her eyes when asked by her colleague to do something. Many of the items on the menu were missing. We had the fish cakes to start and goat curry for main, both very good. The card machine was out of order apparently, so we had to pay cash. Very interesting experience.

Don't go here. Tons of reviews say they will tell you they "don't have that" from the menu. That's true. They didn't have at least 5 things and it's a SLIM menu to begin with. I had to disagree with my bill and have it corrected 3 times. First- they charged me for sides that the waitress stated were part of the meal I picked (I asked to make sure before I ordered them because I didn't need any sides) Then- they told me that the bill was higher because the prices on the menu had increased. They told me AFTER I ordered AND ate the food. Then- they tried to charge me for alcohol in my fruit punch when there wasn't any. Being told the "prices are higher than the menu shows" after eating the food was absolutely UNEXPECTABLE. They corrected the bill, after I made it clear I was paying the printed menu price and only for food that I had ordered based on the menu. The food was mediocre and the service was less than mediocre, and I'm not picky with either of those items.

I’m not sure if I should be posting to the Old Stone Grill and Bar or The Great Old House (same place). The name has no effect —the food is lovely, the balcony gets the perfect breeze, and the service is helpful and friendly. Some folks note that they are often out of things on the menu. It’s an island and the food is fresh. You get what’s good, and it is. Be prepared for large portions. The mains come with two sides and that would be plenty for me. That said, the appetizers were also very good and plentiful. Love the fish cakes! Spicy fries are a treat too.

This place is by far one of the best restaurants I have eaten at on the island. You will not be disappointed. I mean service is great, the food exceptional. It is not a fast food restaurant so if you are looking for a quick meal, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for culinary experience--you have found a gem in this place. Friendly staff and that goes for the owner Steve as well. I ate here for the 1st time in March and knew that when I visited again I would return. Tonight I did with my mom and brother. We were not disappointed.

We had mixed bag, the curried goat was good the shrimp was ok but nothing special, they added a 25% service charge, which was crazy

My wife and I are self-professed foodies. We discovered that we had both put Poz on our must eat list at separate times, so it was a no-brainer that one of our first Dominican dinners in Calibishie would be here. Poz was so easy to communicate with via Whatsapp, and he was there to greet us and chat that first night; Fluffy was the chef/bartender that evening. My wife , younger son, and myself started with the coconut shrimp appetizer. I am not typically a coconut fan and was a bit hesitant, but YUM-divine!! Not a single crumb was left. The older, super picky son devoured chicken wings. Everything was delicious! Our non- complimentary teen son had the "best pork chops of [his] life!" I enjoyed the fresh river crayfish (shrimp), my wife had a delectable coconut-curry shrimp, and our younger son went with a juicy burger. We have an unwritten rule that we never visit the same restaurant twice on vacation because we want to experience new places, but we came back the very next morning for Poz's Hungry Man's breakfast, which was superb. Upon finding out Poz would have fresh octopus delivered that afternoon, we came back a third time for dinner! Poz himself was the chef again after chatting a bit with us. We had a savory smoked oyster appetizer, then tender octopus two different ways. The picky son enjoyed more pork chops, and the adventurous son wolfed down his non-adventurous but delicious chicken alfredo. Aside from the amazing food and beautiful grounds, one of the best things was chatting with Poz. He is originally from Canada, but has lived in Dominica for over 14 years if memory serves me correctly. He has a great sense of humor, loves being around people, and we truly enjoyed every moment with him. Do yourself a favor...you cannot miss out on going here!! Oh, and the rum punch was excellent-it tasted just like a creamsicle!

Troy was a great host. We really enjoyed our Christmas Day lunch so much that we went back in the evening for drinks and again Boxing Day evening with friends that we had met there. He is excellent company and great to talk to. He has lived in Dominica for 10 years and gave us lots of information and advice about the island. If we come back to Dominica we will definitely be heading straight for Poz.

The service and atmosphere is 100% you also get alot of food for your money and it's really delicious. It's a great spot for locals based on the designs but also works well for foreigner's visit

I had eaten there several times during my stay. Food is really good especially the honey bbq wings and the burgers. Apparently the sea food is amazing as well. I'm allergic so could not have any.

Troy was an amazing host. The staff and service was on point from the drink service to overall attention to myself as a guest. They really do make you feel like family. The food was incredible and the ambiance was soothing. Would definitely visit again.

Very simply put, it doesn't look like on the website. This place needs a pimp up. We had places in Dominica where we paid less and felt more comfortable. The breakfast indeed was good. Thank you. The room was a bit dark, not enough windows. Otherwise things are ok. Please be aware that the beach at the moment is full of sargassum algae and you can smell it.

Love this spot! Although a little pricey but not too bad, it was incredibly delicious and you have a beautiful view of the ocean. Quiet in early October for breakfast. I ordered the everything bagel sandwich, chai latte and fresh juice of starfruit and golden apple. Everything was really tasty. Only bummer was that the espresso machine was broken so I couldn't get an actual latte but the server gave me some coffee to add. Thank you!

We've been there several times in the early evening. Very pleasant setting, lulled by the sound of the waves, where you feel really relaxed. The staff are friendly and the service is fast. The menu doesn't vary, but what's on offer is tasty. For starters, I recommend the calalou soup, which is excellent. The cocktails are good. For the main course... the fish of the day, a succulent dish accompanied by equally delicious local starches. Desserts are rather classic but well executed. I highly recommend

Not impressed. The only thing I almost enjoyed was the potatoes. The fish tasted fresh and unseasoned. Very disappointing after taking such a long drive to eat here. Also the pool was dirty. Would not recommend, although the staff were nice. New chef needed asap

This is the best place to eat on the east coast of Dominica, everything we had was great, a huge variety of sides that were all excellent and very reasonably priced, great rum punch, highly recommend. Go and say hello to the grey striped kitten Catabishie

I absolutely love Coral Reel. It’s my go to place for my favorite food . Sherlon the manager, always makes sure customers are top priority. The view is stunning and they always have a great assortment of nice wines and cold beer. Thanks Sherlon for being your best self! 💕💕

Our local friend took us here and it didn’t disappoint. The food were so good! My husband’s pork dish and my tuna were perfectly cooked. The place is also nicely located with an awesome ocean view. Good food, good view, can’t get any better than that.

Rain or sunshine, it's always a fantastic place to relax when visiting the East coast of Dominica. At the moment (2023) only open for dinner and you need to book in advance. It's well worth it. In the afternoon, drinks are served on the verandah overlooking the river.

Excellent restaurant. Our party of 9 ate here three nights in our week in Dominica and loved it every time. Soley has been the chef for a few months now and is extremely talented. The dishes were delicious, creative, and well-plated while still having a “home-cooked” feel. We also loved how accommodating Soley was for dietary restrictions in our group. Soley, thanks for the wonderful dinners!

We’ve been brought there on a day trip. Our guide, ask us at the beginning of the trip whether we want to have chicken, shrimp or fish. He had to pre-order the meal that we took around 2 PM. The fish was excellent. Great view. Apparently the local guides bring their a lot of tourist to have their lunch there. You order drinks off the menu. It was nice, very local, good food, nice view, however some kind of a tourist trap as well.

Great food and atmosphere. Our Guide from SEACAT made the reservation in the Restaurant. We paid 20 US Dollar for 1 plate Shrimps. Beautiful View. it is possible to pay with euro.

Great food and atmosphere. We made a dinner reservation in advance and they stayed open just for us. It was really special, we loved every bite and every sip of the rum and passionfruit. Good idea to call ahead so they know you’re coming.

The restaurant and bar is situated beside a beautiful natural water fall over rocks and lovely horticulture. So, you get a nice view of nature while you eat and drink. They have good, delicious food and natural home-made fruit drinks, such as passion fruit and ginger drinks, etc.

Great location on the beach. Perfect for a sunset meal. Make sure to wear long pants or bring you mosquito spray.

A real charmer right at the beach. Beautiful view and great food. I'm a vegetarian myself and really enjoyed the side of salad and extremely delicious coconut rice. After two nights Sandy was so sweet and offered to prepare a veggie meal if we called ahead. Simply lovely! My partner had the fish, chicken and the lobster and loved everything :)

Amazing beach bar with delicious food! The fries, the grilled marlin and the ice cream were awesome. The staff is super friendly and helpful and sunsets are wonderful with one of their homemade infused rums. Although official opening hour is 3:30 pm, you better not expect anything before 5 pm. But then you can sit at the beach, enjoy the last sun of the day and a nice atmosphere.

The best rum punch in Portsmouth, hands down! And the food followed suit. Everything was so fresh and we loved the salad and coconut rice too. Service was kind and attentive every singe time and I believe we came back three times on our trip. Don’t hesitate to eat here—but do ask for the mosquito spray :)

We arrived right when the owner opened it up. He was friendly from the beginning and after we gave him some time open everything up he went straight to cooking some delicious meals for us. As we were not really familiar with caribbean food he even suggested something what we could get. The food was fresh and amazing, big portions for small money as well. My girlfriend had a delicious coco punch as well and the ice creams in the end were huge. The location is exactly what it says. A beach café, directly between palm trees on a beautiful beach. We will be back soon!

This place has an awesome view but it was a very unpleasant experience for us. The curried chicken was mostly bones and though the plate had variety it was small portions compared to other stops on the island. The real shock came when we went to pay. $25 EC was expected for each plate but another $40 EC was added for two natural juices, one of which wasn’t even ordered. The ice had small flies frozen inside. Best to steer clear. All tourist - no locals. $90 EC is way overpriced for what we received and we felt ripped off.

We stopped for an early lunch while sightseeing in the area and they were still serving breakfast. It was delicious!! Salted fish, boiled banana, salad and fresh squeezed passion/guava juice. Friendly people and nice atmosphere. We left feeling so refreshed.

I always make sure to stop at Purple Turtle on every visit to Dominica - it never disappoints. The beach views of Prince Rupert’s Bay are stunning, and the vibe is relaxed but lively. I usually order the fish, which is always fresh, well seasoned, and served quickly with great local sides. Their rum punch is also one of my favorites - refreshing and perfectly Caribbean. The staff are warm and welcoming, and I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the owner, Vincent, many times over the years. He always makes me feel like a local and adds to the charm of the place. The beachfront seating is lovely, with the sound of waves in the background, and it’s the perfect spot to spend an afternoon or watch the sunset. Whether you’re staying in Portsmouth or just passing through, Purple Turtle is a must - true island gem that captures the spirit of Dominica.

Visited this lovely beach club to enjoy the beach and the festive atmosphere. I enjoyed a delicious meal which was vegetarian and a cool drink. I got to meet the owner Mr. Vincent Etienne who was approachable, gracious, and friendly. I hope to visit again whenever I am in Dominica.

The location is perfect but the service not so great. The ladies were rough. They don't take credit cards. We ordered fish and was told the chef walked off the shift so we couldn't get it. The fried chicken wasn't that great.

Food was great but service was on island 🏝️ time. We had to flag her down a few times but she was very nice and helpful when she was with us. They were out of several things I wanted to order but they said that the food truck didn’t deliver. I will go back. I have to remember that island time is not US time. No ability to take a credit card in 2024 is ridiculous. Stairs uneven into bar from the beach are a hazard as the rise of the treads are uneven. Two in our party tripped. Looked forward to having the local beer and was told it was not available only to see others drinking it a short time later. Rum bunch was a syrupy mess straight out of a bottle and below expectations of an island visit. Location and beach are good

Cool place, upstairs location but sand floors with beach vibe. Super friendly staff and food choices were many. The sides were excellent, the fish was tasty but cooked slightly more that I prefer. I would eat here again, but would choose a different protein.

A very laid back and fun bar! It definitely is made for tourists but the fun drinks and atmosphere are hard to pass up. We had burgers (after a week of chicken and fish we were craving some beef) and they were actually so good! The prices were fair and it was close to the cruise ships and our hotel. Definitely check this place out!

This is a fun beach bar, on the first floor overlooking the seafront. It has a sandy floor and bar-style seating looking out over the sea as well as tables and benches. Good selection of the usual cocktails and beers. The menu is pretty good - rotis and agoulous are a solid choice and I also enjoyed the grilled fish and the lobster tail. It’s a pleasant place to watch the comings and goings on whichever cruise ship is docked or to enjoy a beer whilst sheltering from the rain!

Always a treat to go to Rosalie Bay. Our favorite dishes are the pizza, wings, and the fried chicken sandwich. Melissa mixes a great martini! All the staff are friendly and kind and the atmosphere is very comfortable. The resort itself is gorgeous. Definitely worth arriving in the day time so you can see the gorgeous views before dining. Highly recommend!

I spent five wonderful days at Rosalie Bay Eco Resort, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The property is absolutely beautiful — peaceful, tranquil, and so well cared for. The rooms and cottages are spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed to blend with the natural surroundings. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, always ready with a smile or helpful suggestion. I have to give a special shoutout to Shaneta — she was an absolute gem! So sweet, kind, and full of positive energy. She was a joy to see in the mornings and afternoons when she was working, and she really made my stay feel even more special. The resort itself feels like a sanctuary — lush gardens, stunning views, and that breathtaking black sand beach where the river meets the ocean. I spent a lot of time unwinding at the gazebo by the river after exploring the island — it quickly became my favorite spot. Although the resort is a bit farther from some of the main attractions, coming back each evening to such a serene and quiet setting made it completely worth it. Breakfast here is done a bit differently than most resorts — it’s freshly cooked to order every morning, not buffet-style, with a healthy and varied menu. Everything I tried was delicious. I also enjoyed several lunches and dinners on-site — the ceviche was excellent, the shrimp pizza was a favorite, and the piña coladas were perfect. I highly recommend Rosalie Bay Eco Resort to anyone who loves nature, peace, and a slower pace. It’s the perfect place to relax, recharge, and reconnect with the beauty of Dominica. 🌿

Out on the eastern coast this resort is oceanfront. Our room was enormous, if a bit outdated. The bed was a king and very comfortable, and the room had a sitting Area, dining table, fridge, and a soaking tub in the bathroom. The shower was definitely in need of an update and more light. Our little porch overlooked the garden and you could hear the waves. All the rooms are located around a loop and parking is near the entrance of the grounds. there is a spa with incredibly reasonably priced treatments, a full gym (open air), and a large pool. The restaurant serves meals all day- everything we had was delicious. Daily excursions are also available, and at night they will come get you if there’s a turtle laying eggs on the beach so that you can see this natural phenomenon up close. Overall an excellent experience, and a good location to explore emerald pools, glassy point, and other area sites.

We absolutely loved our stay here! While most of our planned activities were on the other side of the island - coming back to this little slice of paradise was well worth the driving. If we ever come back to Dominica, we will definitely stay here again.

This place is amazing. Rooms are so cozy and inviting. The scenery is to die for. The staff is very very accommodating, customer service is just excellent. It is a distance, but it's so worth it.

It’s hard to imagine a more spectacular or secluded location, though there are a few things I would want to know before booking. It really is in a remote part of Dominica where you wouldn’t want to be without a rental car and won’t have realistic alternatives, at least for dinner. We really enjoyed the restaurant. It’s a small menu but for two nights that wasn’t a problem. Rooms are big and airy with a surprisingly good A/C. Great if you’re independent and want to explore a really off the beaten path area.

Amazing view of the Caribbean. The ambience was fantastic. Don't be in a rush to eat though, the service is slow...you are on Caribbean time which is ok. Gives you more time to enjoy the view.

We found the restaurant on the main drag between Strawberry and Saveur stores. Wow! Mary cooks the best Columbo chicken, Octopus, Shrimp dishes imaginable! Both of us have gluten and lactose intolerances and Mary provides the perfect dish especially for us. We can’t stay away. Super value, best food. You gotta try it!

My friends and I really enjoyed this Restaurant. You can see that the food was really good and decorated in a nice way. They had a small menu with mostly meat and fish, however the chef made a vegetarian pasta for my vegetarian friend which was really nice! All in all, most recommended

Very Bad food, drowned in curry in order to hide the bad taste. I ordered stuffed chicken breast and another chicken dish. Left a good part of the meat on the plates. Wedges ok, vegetables so so. Staff ok , nice view of the sunset !

Walked out to Sisters for the afternoon. The Dasheen Balls were really good, and the Hot Wings were big, spicy, and well sauced. The staff is very friendly, and the sunsets are great too! Definitely with coming over from Zicack.

Our snorkeling excursion to Donny's was outstanding! From the time you arrive, you are welcomed with a beautiful friendly vibe! We went out to the reef and saw many colorful fish, coral and champagne bubbles from the sea floor. Donny is an excellent guide, and with his team, makes sure even the beginner is comfortable with snorkeling! We had a great experience and definitely highly recommend! Be very careful however,getting into, and out of the water as the beach is rocky, and the ocean can have some strong undertow! Thanks Donny!

Donny's snorkeling was truly an amazing experience! Donny and the instructors were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the waters of Dominica were so clean and beautiful. You can see a variety of coral reefs, fish, and even bubbles underwater. While I enjoyed snorkeling, my friend was able to relax comfortably on a free beach chair. I highly recommend this to everyone! Just a tip— I brought a waterproof case and captured some great videos on my phone.

Had a great experience. Donny himself took me personally on the dive. Very knowledgeable, very professional and friendly. Rambo is his right-hand man and he's awesome! Not the talkity type but a man of action. Very helpful! Very cool environment when you first get there you're not sure where you're at and then the little place just pops up! very well kept. Reef is in very good condition with a large variety of small fish to larger ones. Many schools of fish were in the area that day. And the champagne bubbles are quite unique of all of my diving it is the first time I've seen that! A real note I feel is this is not some giant dive shop. It's very personable. Would highly recommend!

Had a phenomenal time snorkeling with Donny, finding countless varieties of fish, urchins, and even a couple magnificent sea turtles. The champagne reef was unforgettable. Donny was an exceptional guide. Incredibly knowledgeable about this exquisite pocket of nature, and clearly passionate not only about giving his clients a great experience but also about preserving the natural beauty of the beach. He picked up trash that came down to the beach and made sure we didn't harm the fragile ecosystem. I highly highly recommend snorkeling here.

Had an amazing experience with Donny's Watersports Snorkel and Dive Center in Dominica! The team is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, making sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. The snorkeling was fantastic with vibrant fish and beautiful coral reefs. For certified divers, the dive sites are breathtaking. The equipment is top-notch, and safety is a priority. We had such an enjoyable afternoon snorkelling with Alan. He was very welcoming and accommodating. We learnt more about the history of the island as well as visiting the champagne reef and bubble beach, it was such a great experience and would highly recommend this company!

A good place to stop for a cheap and cheerful meal. They only do 1 thing which is fried chicken but omg it is a good one. Very simple interior. The place is visited mostly by locals which is a good sign. The owner Patrick is super nice and friendly man - make sure to chat to him

Might be the best fried chicken I've ever had, and I eat a ton of fried chicken. Patrick is a great guy, looked like he wasn't even open but made us some amazing food with lettuce fresh from the garden and fresh baked bread. Coldest beer in town! Killer wifi!

Very classy spot offering fresh food and fantastic drinks. When Dane is running the bar, ask for one of his off the menu drinks. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays are “chef’s take” so no menu. Prix fixe for 5 courses. We found the service to be good, food to generally be good (out of 6 meals, once the fish was very undercooked). We kept going back for the lobster ravioli and beef tataki. However, when busy the time between courses is really drawn out. If they could get that fixed, it’d be 5-stars all around.

One of the best culinary experiences in Dominica. The Batibou beach is beautiful with few visitors especially in the morning. You have to pay a 5 US$ per person entrance fee which is used for cleaning the beach and maintenance (the area is private land). Around midday they open the grill bar where they prepare on the spot some awsome rich tasting food (be prepared for some wait preparation time). Don't miss out the homemade ice-cream!

Wow! We came to Batibou expecting to only spend an hour here before going to a restaurant to eat. We ended up staying for 5 hours. A short drive down a rough 4x4 road allows you to park right on the beach. The clearly marked fee of $5 usd can be paid to the security people where you park. They provide a rundown of safety considerations like where to swim, and to avoid falling coconuts. Apparently it was a super busy day on Easter Sunday so we shared the beach with about 12 other people LOL. How is this beach so uncrowded? The people maintaining the beach and the women working the beach bar are all super friendly, and they do a great job maintaining the beach. Incredible beach, I'm not sure it can get much better. Clear water, great sand, shady palm trees. To top it all off, the food is good too. They cook using a coconut husk fire, which provides the ribs, fish, and pork with a great sweet Smokey flavor. It's served on wooden plates and banana leaves. They also have a good selection of drinks and rum concoctions. This was a great way to spend our last full day in Dominica.

The most beautiful beach I have ever been too!!!!! The restaurant and bar were never open. It's a $5 American dollar charge per person. If you park at the top it's about a 15min walk on rocks or if your car can make it down I recommend that. They have a shower and the toilets were pretty nasty.

Beautiful beach with an awesome meal ! You can access by car to the front, don’t need to park your car on the top of the hill. The access of the beach is about 13 EC per pers because is a private territory, but believe be, it worth it ! You can eat on the beach, freely with your own food or at the restaurant of the beach.

This is a beautiful beach and you can drive down if you have a off road capable vehicle. It's $5 each for the day. I loved the cheeky sisters beach BBQ and cocktails. They may not rock up until after 12 but lovely mix of food with smoky baby ribs or fish is worth waiting for. Thank you ladies 😊

In my opinion, this is the nicest beach on the island. It's secluded, with crystal clear clam water and a palm trees shade the beach. A few things to note. It costs $5 per person to access the road to go to the beach, you can drive down or you can walk, but you might as well drive since you have to pay regardless. Like most Caribbean island beaches at the moment, Batibou is covered in sargassum, no big deal, you just need to hop over it to get into the water. One issue though, is there is some still flowing in the water and small jellyfish like organisms do live in them so you may feel a light sting or two while you swim but its harmless and honestly, the beach is worth it.

This is just a really nice beach. When I went there was not any food there, just an attendant that would crack open a coconut for you to drink. You must walk about a mile down a dirt road or have a vehicle that can handle the drive.

We found the restaurant by following our noses. We were in a vehicle passing by and there was this sudden scent of something good cooking and the food we had there surpassed our expectations.

I stayed in three different hotels over my 9 days on the island (including Fort Young) and The Champs was hands down my favorite. I showed up around noon and figured they wouldn't be able to put me in my room yet but maybe I could hang by the pool? They had my room ready and let me check in early. They had delicious food for every meal of the day. The room was comfortable and because you're up the hill you have great views. The pool was my oasis. I was sad I had to leave because I was trying to book places the day before and they were booked for the weekend. That's a my bad. I had left a shirt and when I realized a couple days later and went back the employee returned my shirt and asked about my new hotel and about their pool because she remembered I love a good pool, when I told her they didn't have one she offered to let me use their pool! So nice! So much consideration. I love The Champs!

I had a wonderful stay at The Champs Hotel. This boutique property sits atop a hill, and the views of the water and town below—especially at sunset—are worth the climb (or drive). The hotel was clean and well-kept; everything was in good working order. The onsite restaurant was both excellent and reasonably priced, and the hotel conveniently assists with tours and airport transportation. What truly sets The Champs apart, however, is the staff - including the owners. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help.

This hotel went far beyond our expectations. The staff were extremely friendly, the food was delicious and affordable, the view was magnificent, and the room was cozy. We have zero complaints. In fact, we are making Dominica a yearly vacation destination and this hotel is the main reason because of the overall service and experience. We are grateful that we found this gem and can't wait to visit again next year! You will be very happy that you booked here!

Unexpectedly awesome. We primarily chose it for its proximity to the Syndicate Nature Trail but it ended up being the nicest accommodation we had during our entire vacation. We were three people and were given a huge room with multiple comfortable beds, abundant hot water, and access to a large balcony offering a spectacular view of the bay. When flight delays caused us to have an unexpectedly very late arrival, they made special arrangements to welcome us far past their normal closing time. When we were late coming back from bird-watching and missed their breakfast hours they still graciously welcomed us with an incredibly delicious meal. All in all, the staff were so kind and accommodating, going well out of their way to make our stay truly perfect. The location is super convenient to many sights and a perfect "home base" for travel all around the island. I would highly recommend The Champs Hotel to anyone planning to spend time in Dominica.

We spent 6 nights at Hotel the Champs over Christmas. It was a great location for our 5 days of diving with Cabrits. The rooms were wonderful, our room was large, modern and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. AC worked great. We had a mini fridge they kept stocked with potable water (there had been tons of rain so they didn't recommend drinking from the tap, but I used it to was lettuce and stuff with no problems). We loved our balcony and view of the town of Portsmoth. Breakfast by Tamra was amazing! Her homemade bread was the best white bread I've ever had. We loved the fresh squeezed juices and special Christmas breakfast, too! They did a Christmas dinner at the hotel which was local Christmas food, very good and special for us to spend Christmas in this way, thank you for being open! Definitely recommend The Champs for activities in the north. We do hope to come again!

What a great place! Spectacular view from the rooms and the dining room. Lovely. comfortable rooms with outdoor seating. We ate breakfast and most of our dinners there; delicious food with good variety and attentive service. And best of all: Lise and her staff. We can’t say enough good things about them. They were very friendly, personable, and helpful, truly enhancing our 7-day stay in the Portsmouth area. We even enjoyed the walk up the hill from town! We are planning a trip to return to Dominica and Hotel The Champs.

Liked to eat here every day. Good menu. Sunday brunch is popular among locals with BBQ chicken, fresh fish and salad, and freshly baked pastry. Fish cakes were good as an appetizer. The breakfast buffet is plentiful with a wide array of food, including bacon, sausage, scrabled eggs, fruit, yogurt, granola, etc. Full bar and wine menu. Fast service.

Cannot get a simple drink order correct. Ordered a glass of lime juice and a glass of tamarind juice. The waitress who took my order brought me a passion fruit juice. Smfh. I’m hoping my dinner isn’t as screwed up. Will update. I’m afraid after waiting 18 minutes and not being able to receive my drink order, I walked out.

Not consistent with the drink quality unfortunately. One day was amazing, one was not. The food is decent, the ambience is beautiful, but they put surprise allergies on things. Make sure you verify! The flan has coconut ice cream.

So far I've only eaten here during Sunday brunch, but it is always phenomenal! Every time I'm visiting Dominica, I plan to attend brunch here with family. We absolutely love it! The combination of local foods as well as other international dishes really makes it a treat. Kudos to the chef and kitchen team! The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I hope to visit during other meal service in the future, but brunch is so worth it!

This restaurant was recommended to me as the best restaurant in Rouseau and while I can’t confirm this to be the case, it certainly did not disappoint. My server was Piquionne and he was great. The food was great, service was flawless and the setting is exceptional with a beautiful view out on the water.l

1st time in Roseau, Dominica and we found this cozy restaurant "le petit paris" I ordered fish and chips and iced coffee, did'nt expect it will come on a large servings and very good presentation.. 100% recommendation on this place. Love the food and the staff are so nice and very helpfull.

Had a Country Man, Steak Burger with Fries. It was Delicious...and chicken green pepper pizza 🍕. Place was a little small. Yet, we weren't paid much attention too... Waited about 10 minutes for the bill table cleared. We had to call again to pay.....

It was my first time at petit paris and i must say I honestly Loved and enjoyed my meal♥️ Especially the quiche. I'll definitely be getting myself some quiche daily 🤤

I had the fish sandwich and my wife had the BLT. It’s a small quaint restaurant right next to the ocean. The staff is pleasant and the food is delicious. The price good. As you can see the portions are great that was my sandwich.

Our second lunch at Petit Paris Restaurant. As has been the case at all restaurants on Dominica there were several dishes that weren't available. The paella was lovely. Flavorful rice with shrimp, small clams and chicken pieces.

Stayed at this beautiful resort for 6 days in October. The weather was beautiful. This resort is very homey and relaxing. Located right on the beach you could hear the waves crashing from your room. The pool was great as well. It was slightly secluded which made it very quiet and comfortable to lay out and relax. We also were the only people here at our stay. There were showers and a sauna that the owner Roger turns on every other day. The vegetation on this land was beautiful Roger did a great job with the lay out. He definitely put a lot of thought and hard work into his land. They use their own fruits and make this amazing dragon fruit jam they grow to serve to you which I also thought was beautiful. We felt very welcomed at Sunset bay, they would have a table set for us at the restaurant for included breakfast and when I tell you I woke up every day looking forward to this meal and our amazing cooks it was definitely the highlight. She and her sister were so amazing whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. By day 2 she knew our order and just was happy to be serving us this amazing food she cooked every morning. It was seriously amazing I can’t get over it. We stayed in the suite and it was a great room for 2 people. Nice size, place to sit and eat if you bring food back to the room, nice bathroom set up. Elizabeth and helper were great as well, cleaned our room and made our bed daily. They were so nice to us. With it being in an area with a lot of bugs, lizards iguanas and some snakes; ants were the only bug problem I had. Needless to say stay here for a relaxing weekend and great staff!

I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment and enjoyed a delicious creole tuna fish lunch. The location is somewhat remote, which led to a few instances of getting lost despite using GPS navigation. Nevertheless, the overall experience was remarkable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food was of excellent quality.

I came here for dinner, the food was very good, very tasty. There was great customer service. The setting is so peaceful and open, you can partially hear the ocean. The establishment was also very clean, including the bathrooms.

We had dinner there 3 times during our month on Dominica. The staff are great!. They're friendly, helpful and they even laughed at my partners corny jokes. I highly recommend the garlic shrimp and pan fried lobster.

Had dinner here with a group of people to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Food and service were both excellent. I ordered the pasta with shrimp, and it did not disappoint! Was absolutely delicious. Looking for a reason to eat here again. 4/19/22 update: Food was still good. Roger is a good host.

Very creative and tasty food here, we really liked this place. Started with the nice Lacou Punch drink, and a glass of wine. Had the fried octopus appetizer, nice tamarind sauce with pickled green papaya (wish they had bottles of it to sell) and pretty presentation… enjoyed it but it was not the nicest piece of octopus I’ve had, a bit small and slightly dry. Love marlin and I love schnitzel, but this is the first Marlin Schnitzel I’ve ever seen or had, creative, and it was beautiful on the plate and I enjoyed it, but made me wonder if marlin should be “schnitzeled” because it lost some of its lovely marlin texture and flavor, however it was good and the accompanying risotto was delicious. My wife had the goat steak and kindly shared some, we agreed it was the best prepared goat meat we’ve ever had, a nice crust and tender flavorful interior, we want all of our goat to be cooked here! Server was very nice, sharp, prompt, and unobtrusive, perfect. Nice decor and artwork. All very nice, and a good value. Believe that we could not get this nice of a dining experience and food for this price in the USA (card charge $118 US total by charging in EC $, see photo of bill), which we really appreciate. Highly recommend this establishment.

Our favorite restaurant of all of Dominica! If you are looking for upscale and comfortable, look no further Lacou Melrose House is where you want to go. Reservations are essential as they get booked up. The food was superb, service was polished, and everything came out in a reasonable amount of time. They have some of the best wine on the island too, and it's stored properly in a wine fridge. We got to try breadfruit (fried) for the first time!

I had an amazing experience at Lacou! No doubt it is the best restaurant on the whole island of Dominica. The Ambiente is cozy and private, you don’t even feel like you’re sitting in the middle of Roseau. The staff is very professional and friendly and I liked the fact that even the chef checks on his guests and always has a minute to talk. The menu varies a bit on a daily basis, I just couldn’t get enough of their food! Everything they serve is made of fresh local and economical products -> you can definitely taste that.. The prices are more than fair for what you get, you should definitely try the deserts if you eat there! The restaurant is gaining more and more popularity so if you’re planning on going for dinner you might as well give them a call to let them reserve a table for you! :) Enjoy your experience!

I think one of the best meals of my life. Marlin steak with risotto, amazing and filling. I also tried the phenomenal pumpkin soup, so nice and zesty and grilled maki-maki with sweet potatos, amazingly light meal ale the tastes are so well balanced. Perfection. Will come back.

I had a lovely meal here for my birthday. The atmosphere was very nice. And I enjoyed the food and drinks & I have to say, the waitress was great too! She was so friendly & had exceptional customer service. I would definitely go back.

The food is fresh, original, and decisively modern. For example, the marlin ceviche came with a passionfruit-based sauce. It was zingy, tasty and perfectly seasoned! The tuna tataki was some of the freshest I’ve ever had. While we were certainly impressed by the chef’s confident take on classic dishes, what surprised us most were the generous portion sizes. Lacou is undoubtedly a fine dining experience and we found it incredibly refreshing to see proper portion sizes. After a full day of hiking, we came in with a monster appetite and left satisfied.

Excellent food, wide variety of choices. Friendly service and is faster than most restaurants in the area. Will be returning before we leave.

What a beautiful combination of nature, family and feel good energy. Le petit paradis IS a little paradise and is a great place to stay to explore the many waterfalls, hikes and local towns / villages. This family owned guest house is worth every penny and the food is incredible. Rooms are clean and comfy - of course it’s not a “luxury 5 star hotel” but it feels more homely than that! The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. See you again soon, little paradise :)

We were so lucky to stumble upon Le Petit Paradis, recommended by a local guide—what a gem! While it’s also a hotel, we just went for dinner and it was one of the best meals we had in Dominica. Reservations are a must, as it’s family-run and fills up quickly. Joan, the chef, doesn’t plan the menu ahead but is warm and accommodating to preferences. Our dinner included lentil pumpkin soup, chicken with a cod and potato salad, lentils, fresh salad, and carrot banana bread with coconut ice cream. Don’t miss the house-made rum punch, called a “bullet”—perfectly spiced and unforgettable. A must-visit!

Stopped in for lunch on our way to visit the hot springs and had a fantastic meal. One plate had quite the variety of local flavours to try, all of which were delicious. It’s obvious that a lot of care goes into the cooking, plating, decor, ambiance, etc. Lovely people too, highly recommend!

It was one of the best experiences ever!!! Never in my travelling history I was treated with hospitality like this! Every piece of guesthouse is very nice decorated, the cuisine in the restaurant is exceptional! I didn’t want to eat in any another place)) also bar with variety of homemade rhum! and stunning views of mountains! You should definitely visit this place, it starts to be your home during the stay!

The owners make this hotel feel like home. Lovely rooms, great views from the terrace, excellent food freshly prepared (with a little show), communication is friendly and personal. The location is amazing, walking distance to the waterfalls, small hot springs, river. You can meet lots of interesting fellow travellers there. The only downside - no sound isolation in the rooms. But after all the adventures you will have a good sleep anyway :D

WAW!!!!!! all I can say is Le Petit Paradis is truly the gem of the Dominica. It is very very authentic and very down to earth! the people here are amazing the staff is veryh freindly, the accommodation is very clean and nice. it is not a five star place so do not come expecting 5 start hotel but if you want to really experience what it is to be a Dominican, then this is the place for you! You are surrounded by nature, the birds in the morning eating while you are having breakfast was a site to see. And it is also overlooking the valley! it is just so beautiful here. i love it here and would recommend it to everyone especially nature lovers

Such an amazing place!! Joan, Al and their family and staff are extremely kind and generous. Joan cooks a lovely meal every night with local produce, and Al was there every day with breakfast and sandwiches to take with us for our hike. They also helped us think of solutions when we had problems with local ATMs and when we had to leave super early for the boiling lake (lunch ready to take with us at 7am 🥹). The rooms are basic but you have everything you need and the location is great in a tranquil village close to many waterfalls. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing views out to sea whilst you sip a local cold beer. Food was excellent, coconut chicken and a beautifully presented red snapped. Super friendly people, we needed to walk out to the ATM to get cash and they were incredibly relaxed. Highly recommend

This is it. This is the restaurant you want to go to on Dominica! Food is sublime, service is impeccable, and did I mention the food? I had lionfish—a highly invasive species that happens to taste delicious. My wife had chicken coconut curry and kiddo had chicken popcorn bites. Among the 3 plates, there was nothing left except for a few lionfish bones.

Beautiful place, great view. Chef Micheal prepared fresh and delicious lion-fish with a tasty sauce and an assortment of sides. The jerk chicken was also great! Let Micheal make you a rum punch, so good! Our server, Stephon, was sweet, patient and accommodating. Give it a try, you’ll love it!

My partner and I came here an absurd amount of times during our trip, because it was absolutely divine! I couldn’t get enough of the freshly-made mango rum punch and the seafood specials. The food is absolutely to die for! Everything is so fresh and delicious; my mouth is watering as I’m typing this. Literally everything on the menu is insanely delicious; we tried to order something different every time, and it was all extraordinarily yummy. Everyone that welcomed us here, from the front to back of house, is so kind, warm, and friendly. Highly, highly recommend!

We met the owner in Portsmouth at the market and he invited us to go at his restaurant. A week later passing by Calibishie on the way to the airport we stopped and he arranged a magnificent vegetarian lunch for us to take away. The products are so fresh, the local producer was delivering fruit and vegetables while we were there so everything tasted amazing! Thank you and definitely will be back when next in Dominica.

Amazing view of the Caribbean. The ambience was fantastic. Don't be in a rush to eat though, the service is slow...you are on Caribbean time which is ok. Gives you more time to enjoy the view.

We found the restaurant on the main drag between Strawberry and Saveur stores. Wow! Mary cooks the best Columbo chicken, Octopus, Shrimp dishes imaginable! Both of us have gluten and lactose intolerances and Mary provides the perfect dish especially for us. We can’t stay away. Super value, best food. You gotta try it!

My friends and I really enjoyed this Restaurant. You can see that the food was really good and decorated in a nice way. They had a small menu with mostly meat and fish, however the chef made a vegetarian pasta for my vegetarian friend which was really nice! All in all, most recommended

Very Bad food, drowned in curry in order to hide the bad taste. I ordered stuffed chicken breast and another chicken dish. Left a good part of the meat on the plates. Wedges ok, vegetables so so. Staff ok , nice view of the sunset !

Walked out to Sisters for the afternoon. The Dasheen Balls were really good, and the Hot Wings were big, spicy, and well sauced. The staff is very friendly, and the sunsets are great too! Definitely with coming over from Zicack.

After spending the morning at Scotts Head Point, I stopped at Chez Wen Cuisine, I ordered the lobster in coconut cream sauce with basmati carrot rice, stewed red beans, and salad, and it was phenomenal. Everything tasted so fresh and full of flavor. The lady who served me was welcoming. The prices were a bit high in my opinion but the restaurant sits right on the ocean, so you can enjoy amazing views while you eat — it doesn’t get much better than that! If you’re exploring the south end of Dominica, definitely make time to stop at Chez Wen Cuisine. Great food, friendly service, and unbeatable views.

This is a hidden gem when you visit or are leaving Scott's Head. Highly recommend! Love the simplicity of the menu, decor and the stunning views of the water, mountains, birds and you might even see some fishermen coming back from sea when you sit outside. Our food took longer than expected to come...shrimp was delicious and cooked to perfection. Food full of flavour but the read beans were burnt & dry 😒 Shout out to the chef for the presentation as it's not often Caribbean food is presented so well. Impressed! Excellent view and delicious food. Orders are placed at the counter and food will. Be brought to the table. There are no menus so. Be sure to took at the sign board as it is updated based on availability and fresh catches. Seafood on the island tnds to be heavily salted but the meals are balanced. Would definitely visit again.

Restaurant is in an amazing location! The view from the outside seating, overlooking the sea is out of this world!! 😍 The staff were nice as well. For my group, the food was just ok. We came in with high hopes due to the recommendations we received to stop and dine here. Perhaps what we ordered wasn't the right thing. I'd definitely still come back for drinks and the ambiance!

Disappointing! The menu seem to refer to an earlier time. There are supply issues, so your meal is just whatever may be available. Service can be friendly or even hostile. Picard Beach deserves a better restaurant with better service. Recommend walking to Infinity by the River or driving to Keepin it Real at Tucambari Beach.

We loved our lunch at Le Flambeau. We went on a Sunday so the menu was a little limited but we expected that. Still had great chicken and shrimp. The staff was very attentive and friendly. But here waves breaking at the far patio throughout lunch was so awesome. Great view!

If you're looking for pricey meals adapted to tourist's taste this is it. Location is nice enough to enjoy a lovely sundown. If you're looking for genuine creole fare there are much better places in the area.

The most amazing food we had in Dominica! Hits every mark! We had tuna tartar, whole snapper and seared tuna steak. A five star restaurant!

The atmosphere is so relaxing… feels like you’re having lunch at a hidden gem.. the sweet mountain breeze flows right thru the restaurant to keep you at the perfect temperature; you’re surrounded by beautiful plants. I enjoyed the Octopus in Creole sauce as my appetizer, the Sirloin Steak w/ Forestiere sauce and Green Cocoy Fries as my Entree, and it was a burst of pure flavor and eyes rolling back behind my head joy for me!

A truly wonderful experience and we were delighted to be able to enjoy our lunch with such a talented chef. everything is organic and grown on their own farm. The table water, which is sourced from a spring high up in the mountains. I highly recommend incorporating this restaurant into your trip to the different waterfalls in Dominica.

We left the Salton waterfall for the Emerald Pool and we were starving. Stumbled onto this incredible restaurant and they exceeded all of our expectations with delicious and well presented dishes. The stuffed crab back appetizer was outstanding and could have been a meal. Definitely a highlight of our trip to that area and not to be missed!

Best meal we had in Dominica. When you arrive they walk you through the day’s menu written on several chalkboards. They have a large variety of starters, mains, and desserts focused around ingredients that are local to the island. The food was fantastic. They are only open for lunch a few days a week. Plan your trip so you can make a visit — it will be worth it!

This amazing lunch experience definitely took us by surprise: We would have never expected such delicious and fresh food in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by nature. I’m not sure if I should be posting to the Old Stone Grill and Bar or The Great Old House (same place). The name has no effect —the food is lovely, the balcony gets the perfect breeze, and the service is helpful and friendly. Some folks note that they are often out of things on the menu. It’s an island and the food is fresh. You get what’s good, and it is. Be prepared for large portions. The mains come with two sides and that would be plenty for me. That said, the appetizers were also very good and plentiful. Love the fish cakes! Spicy fries are a treat too.

Great place. Name of restaurant did not match but we found it. Food choices were varied but a few of the menu items were unavailable. Everything was fantastic. I would highly recommend and would most definitely return. The staff were super friendly and provided excellent service.

The Great Old House (formerly Old Stone Grill) was warm, welcoming, and delicious. When other places couldn’t seat us, they kindly accommodated us. We sat outside on the balcony, and the setting was perfect. I had grilled chicken with jerk sauce, rice, and salad—so flavorful. My friend’s BBQ ribs were tender and delicious. Great food and great service.

When we came here, the restaurant was out of most of the items on the menu. A question would be answered with "let me find out" and a disappearance of 15-20 minutes. When the food arrived, it was decent, some parts edible and some parts better. Serving sizes are generous. Service is standard Caribbean time slow / relaxing pace. Room is simple, not decorated nor elaborate.

The rooms have beautiful ocean view, with beach towels included, which I thought was a nice touch, breakfast is modest but good, the bar has a nice quiet vibe. The staff are experienced and very accomodating. Its located a few mins drive from Mero beach and 30mins from Roseau, and the best pizza in Dominica is only a few mins drive away, too.

If you're looking for an intimate and cozy vacation, Tamarind Tree is the place to be. This hotel isn't hip and doesn't have the grandest appearance. However, the charming hotel is nestled in the countryside with an amazing view right outside your door. It is surrounded by tamarind and mango trees you can pick from. And the owner, Annette, is friendly and you see her daily.

Practical situated between Roseau and Portsmouth, best reach with own car Greatsphere and good meal in the adjacent restaurant. Room (we had the Bungalow) was very clean and the view at sunset was just awesome. Very hot water in the shower,which is just great after a day diving! Really friendly and helpful staff and owner. They also give good tips and organise tours We recommend this place.

The information on the website is not correct - at least not when I visited November 2021. The included breakfast didn´t excist, nor any other food. No soap in the bathroom. Wi-Fi didn´t work - resulting I couldn´t prepare what had to be done before my flight in the morning - and had to change the flight route causing me a major delay to my next stop. The information regarding distance from the airport is NOT correct. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone! EXCUSES EXCUSES as respons on my review!! Might be that internet is free - but do not blame on provider failure when it DOESN´T work!! Also breakfast is included - HOW come I didn´t get breakfast then?? You mean I lied? Shape up - don´t cover up and try to blame on the guest.

Excellent atmosphere. The owner Mano is an entertainer, singer, comedian, ..... he can do everything. There is karaoke, reggae night ... A short distance from the Orchid resort (Mabrika), where you can stay. Just great. You absorb the Caribbean atmosphere.

Another great restaurant music venue in Dominica. Attended when Manoe was singing and he was excellent. He even serenaded my cousin whose birthday it was and presented her with a bottle of wine. Drinks reasonably priced. Did not go to eat but from what I am told food recommended. Seems very popular with both the locals and tourist.

Wow, Manoe's is something special. If the oxtail stew is on the menu you are in luck. Very friendly staff and Manoe's energy is infectious! Karaoke Sundays & reggae Fridays, you'll leave feeling like you gained a new community for the night.

Lunch with a beachfront view! With a clear view of the ocean, and the option of hanging curtains if the sun is too bright for you, lunch was magnificent here. Food was very delicious, quick to come out. You order at the counter and pay then. When we went, we were told they normally have whole fish or lobster but it was too late in the day and they were out. Bathroom is available but you have to ask for them to unlock the door.

Oh my, since starting reviews, this is one place I would add an extra star for..all the way in Dominica. Sat overlooking Mero Beach is InDee's where the food is nothing short of amazing. Dee is an amazing cook who makes fresh food to order at the most reasonable prices. For the days here went down the menu and everything was great. Really something...Top top marks.

A nice little restaurant right on the beach, perfect for a relaxed meal. They offer lunch and dinner, which is great since not many places in Dominica are open for dinner. Prices are very reasonable, though the portions are not particularly large. As a snack, we tried a mixed fries platter featuring potatoes, plantain, breadfruit, sweet potatoes, and dasheen balls—a great variety of local flavors. (Dasheen, my favorite provision, was especially good!) This is a recommended spot if you're at Mero Beach. It’s not a luxury place, but it’s clean, comfortable, and has a welcoming island vibe. A great stop for a simple, fresh, and enjoyable meal by the sea!

We were staying close by and went often to Indee’s bar. Very good and cheerful service with lovely view over beach. Perfect for sundowner rum punches followed by well cooked meals. All with a great view of the sun sinking over the sea. Only issue? Sometimes it was closed for no apparent reason and with no warning. Please get a notice up warning about hours.

The wait time was long, however it tasted good and it was piping hot out the oven.

I ordered a 16” Pizza with a 1/2 supreme and 1/2 chicken topping combination. The customer service and the food quality was excellent. The pizza crust was thoroughly cooked, the toppings were plenty and the overall flavour of the dish was quite pleasant. The pizza was HOT and ready upon pick-up!

Good evening. At 3:52 I placed an order for $155.25 for three pizzas to be delivered to xxx. 99 minutes (1 hour, 39 minutes) have elapsed and no pizza has been delivered. Yet at least three calls have been met with “the pizza is ready but we are waiting for the delivery person”. The minimum I expect is a refund on the delivery charge.

Infinity is hands down the best restaurant on the whole island of Dominica and nearby! We visited this amazing hidden gem and pearl of a restaurant and their owners 3 years ago and still talk about the best dishes of our lives that our bellies had the blessings to experience. Nerrick and the chef are some one the kindest and best people! The food is chef’s kiss and he works magic with the food! Fresh and delicious in the most scenic and serene atmosphere right by the river. Whatever you do, wherever you are in Dominica, you MUST visit this pearl! Thank you for providing us with the most amazing food for every meal on our trip!

They definitely feel like the Island Bar you see in movies. The staff is phenomenal, the food outstanding, the service impeccable. The prices bearable. We encountered the owner not long after checkin and based on our interactions alone we decided to check out the food. We ordered 2 Dominican Breakfasts and 1 American Breakfast, and were not disappointed. The view was nothing short of majestic. We have been here a few times, even invited guests to join us for a drink and watch the sunset from here. The music changes and always seems to fit the mood. Beach access adds to the good vibes you feel here.

OK first of all I need to make clear this is a review of two restaurants, you'll understand why in a bit! Infinity has moved from the Picard Beach location to a new premises nearby, Google has yet to recognise this and the owner is struggling to get his new place listed. So firstly the beach restaurant and bar, as a bar it's OK, although the ingredients for many of the drinks we tried to order they didn't have! The food is so-so, pretty much any of the nearby restaurants are better, I'd give it three stars at best, a shame as the location is fantastic. The new Infinity is a short walk away, along the main road toward Portsmouth and first turning towards the beach after you cross the Picard River bridge, about 100 yds down the amusingly named Moo Cow Trail! The restaurant is right by the river, very picturesque location, the guy who runs it is really friendly and the food is everything it should be, fresh, local, tasty, some inventive dishes, something for everyone and very reasonably priced for the quality. This place is a definite 5 stars, no, more than five, what's the most I can give? That many! We've tried another restaurant rated as one of the best on the island, and this is easily on a par with that. Google need to get their act together so this place can get its own listing and get the recognition and custom it deserves!

Delicious! Everything! On our first visit we tried curried goat, carrot rice and fresh vegetables, and also the shrimp Alfredo. The owner/chef Nerrick was very personable and shared lots of information about Portsmouth and Dominica. We returned a 2nd night for another round of shrimp Alfredo, Caesar salad (fresh croutons were perfect) and Hurricane shrimp. Everything was once again excellent. If you’re fortunate to visit this restaurant, be prepared to also order the fresh rum punch!

We found out about Plantation Grove through the owner of our cottage. It was AMAZING! The owner Margarette was so fun and personable, the food was the best on Dominica, and the view of her garden and the ocean was lovely. You need to call at least 24 hours in advance and she can tailor the menu to your dietary needs (we had 1 no gluten and 1 no fish). As she makes everything to order, party size needs to be 4 or more. Our group of 4 had the place to ourselves and the whole experience was magical. We had cask rum and homemade gooseberry juice, for appetizers smoked salmon, cucumber, caviar, main shrimp in butter garlic sauce, lentils with roasted okra, potatoes in duck fat, and steamed veggies, for dessert rum soaked cake with pear and white chocolate ice cream. We had a great conversation with Margarette, and left with huge smiles on our faces. PLEASE go visit and you will have memories for a long time!

We were a group of 8 including 3 vegans, 2 of whom don't eat wheat. The food was beautifully presented and accommodated us all plus service within good time of our booking. The view is breathtaking and we all enjoyed the lovely touches such as nice linen, jugs of water with lime and nice thick toilet paper. Highly recommended to visit when in Dominica.

Stylish restaurant in a stunning tropical garden setting. It is obvious that great care is taken in the selection of the ingredients and the preparation of the dishes achieving a fusion of local flavour and creative pairings. We received five star service from both the server and owner. The ambiance of the place is truly amazing, a breath taking little oasis for a special occasions or an intimate meal. It seemed like booking in advance is normally required.

The food at Plantation Grove was beautifully presented and delicious.One of our group had special dietary requirements and these were catered for without fuss. The view from the terrace is stunning and is the perfect setting from which to enjoy a meal with friends . . I highly recommend Plantation Grove and will be returning soon.

Really great location. A wonderful woman is leading it and is cooking the lovely, very tasty dishes. You enjoy your food while having an amazing view over the ocean. You can get a real good vegetarian lunch there, too. Great food for a really good price.

A very very lovely place. Service is top notch there. Experience different indeed. Very affordable prices. Excellent views of the bay below and the decor is exquisite. There is out door sitting and the owner does her utmost to ensure that you are well taken care of. So I normally come here to eat....food is actually good...but one specific day the worker were extremely mean and cold to a poor lady and her family for getting part of their order WRONG...I felt bad for them...I thought they called my name but the worker coldly shoo me away and then when I went back to my seat shouted at me to come back🤔🤔🤔🤔.......my thoughts are when you're visiting this place go when the workers are in a good mood....and be a foreigner for better service 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Visited with my family, ordered 3 chicken shawarma wraps and 1 mixed lamb and chicken shawarma wrap.. Found them to be dry. Chips were ready 10 minutes after our main food.. and wasn’t very nice if I’m honest. Asked for hookah / sheesha which is advertised and told they don’t do it, and was told to go upstairs to the bar.. and they didn’t do it either.. and said to go back downstairs.. odd. Next time we’ll go straight to KFC round the corner.

I'll probably want to explore more restaurants before coming back.

Food was okay. The exchange rate they use for euros was flat out ridiculous. 2 ECD for 1 Euro is simply insane. We even showed the actual exchange rate but the guy did not even blink at his 1 to 2.

Worst 👎, don't recommend. Got diarrhoea after eating roti there, the roti wrap was raw dough.

Great location for lounging with the mates at the bar or dining. This restaurant is Situated near the Mero beach so a good place to enjoy a meal or a drink after the beach before you head home. The meals and drinks are affordable which makes it a great place for groups and families. From the balcony of the restaurant one can also enjoy panoramic views of the beach below.

Great food and nice staff. Pretty quiet in the early evening but has a nice sunset view outside. I think something is living in the roof outside though, maybe a bat.
