A beautiful pastry shop and the eclairs are phenomenal, as well the pasties with chestnut cream and poured with white or black chocolate. Absolutely must try place and the coffee is so great!!
For years our friends who come to Greece every year always advise us to check this place out. When we arrived last year and came into Θεσσαλονίκη, the store was closing for the night so we missed out. This was not going to happen again. We booked an apartment nearby and we had to make the most of it. We grabbed a few items to check out as if the place was going to close down tomorrow😂😂. My wife decided to buy the chocolate coated tsoureki which is what they are known for and she loved it. I didn't even try it. I bought a Oreo cake in the plastic square case and we bought a couple of other items. We bought a small YoYo or Kok as they are known as, but the wife cleaned that up. We also bought a small Pavlova type sweet which was nice but my highlight was the Oreo sweet that I wanted. Coffees were ok. There are too many sweets to choose from which is dangerous if you have a sweet tooth. One is never enough...😁
We visited the place late on a Saturday night. The shop was crowded, the staff looked kind of stressed, however we got served with patience and a smile.
The prices are fair, the products fresh and tasty and difficult to choose from as they've got a big range of products.

Found this Cafe close to our airbnb and we have been here every morning since. The cappuccino are great and they give you a delicious little biscuit/cookie with it. Having said that, the staff is even better than the coffee, always being so helpful when we had questions about the area etc. We would definitely recommend this spot. ❤️😋

One of the highlights in Thessaloniki when it comes to traditional pastry. Ask stuff to propose to you what to taste. It has some tables to sit but I'd rather recommend take away
Simply the best Turkish and Middle Eastern creams and sweet pastries. A wide variety of drinks and refreshments too. Love the new chairs and plants outside. They give it that Parisian feel.

Tried Trigona in Thessaloniki – a cone-shaped baklava soaked in syrup, optionally topped with cream. Very crispy and well-made, especially the bottom part. I didn’t love the cream, but overall it’s a unique and tasty dessert. Definitely worth trying if you're in town – and the price was quite reasonable for two pieces!
Amazing Trigona at this bakery – they were fresh, crispy, and really delicious! Perfect balance between the crunchy layers and creamy filling.
One of the better sweets I ate in Thessaloniki. They have bigger and smaller ones. The larger ones cost €3.20 per piece.

Choureál, located in the beautiful district of Thessaloniki, is a choux boutique created by biologist Aliki and chemical engineer Miles. They offer freshly baked choux every hour and tailor-made profiteroles with cream or their own ice cream, topped with various chocolate sauces. The establishment also serves delectable treats like chocolate eclairs and Paris-Brest filled with cream.
I found this place recommended on someone’s blog under “what to eat in Thessaloniki”. I came here not knowing what to expect, and I was pleasantly surprised. It is super tasty. Cost is around 4-5 euros for a regular size. They also brought a glass of water without asking. The lady serving was very kind and explained all in English. The only thing i wonder is if they reuse plastic bowls, because if they don’t, then it not a good thing. I hope you will consider reusing in case that you don’t :). Thank you.

A great pastry shop known for its profiteroles. Profiteroles are made on the spot and you can initially choose whether you want them with cream or ice cream, after which you choose two more flavors of filling (there are several types) and whether you want them to be sprinkled with something (also several options). Very tasty, original and not too sweet (which speaks of the quality of the ingredients). A special shout out to the staff as they are super friendly!
Very delicious sweet. The staff were so friendly, have been here three times and I tried different flavours. Pistachio, bitter, and hazelnut. The vanilla icecream was the most authentic one that I have ever tried. MUST TRY!
We've tried a lot of profiteroles around, and this place is definitely one of the two places in Thessaloniki with the best profiteroles in my opinion. They are incredibly rich and smooth!
Every time we passed by, we couldn't help but stop here – the dessert was so addictive and delicious! Profiterole-based desserts are served in small cups in layers with your choice of ice cream, like custard. Then, you can add your favourite sauce, from rich peanut butter to bitter or milk chocolate, and decorate it with crushed peanuts, almonds, hazelnuts, or even fresh fruit.
The quality of the ingredients is exceptional – from creamy, delicious ice cream to soft profiteroles and smooth, top-quality chocolate sauces. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, taking the time to help you create the perfect combination.
I even saw that they prepare large portions for birthdays or group celebrations, enough for 6–8 people. Whether you're looking for a quick snack or something special to celebrate, this place is a must-try for sweet tooths!
Profiteroles are my favourite dessert and thought I must try this place out and it didn't disappoint!
There are other choux pastry desserts there, but I was there for the profiteroles. They are tailored to you request, with countless possibilities of flavours. I was slightly sceptical about the profiteroles in all that cream but they kept the crisp outside and overall shone of the best profiteroles that I have ever had. Will definitely visit again while I am on holiday here. Try this place and you will thank me afterwards!
Chocolate was amazing, made with very good quality cacao. Cheesecake flavor was also great. I wish I had more place to try other flavors. Recommended.
2025 Update: Still beautiful!
Beautiful dessert! There was a line, but the wait was only about 5 minutes. The friendly and smiling ladies serving us made it feel even more welcoming. We chose a bench on the pavement, though there are tables outside as well. If you’re in the area, it’s worth taking a 10-minute walk from the center through Tsimiski to get here.

Lemonis Bakery in Pefkochori is a must-visit place offering a wide range of delectable treats, savory sandwiches, and delicious coffee. Don't be fooled by just wanting a small piece of cake as you'll end up leaving with a bag full of goodies. The bakery takes all necessary measures to protect against COVID-19, ensuring the safety of its customers. Although no photos were taken, the arrangement inside amazed visitors.
Skip breakfast at the hotel because they have everything and, I bet, waaaaay tastier than at your hotel ;-) I've been there every day of my stay and tried so many things! everything is delicious, well made, premium quality and coffee is really great. plus it is such a pretty interior and they put effort to keep it tidy and clean. it's a must when in Pefkochori 💙

We had a great time in albeta! We were mesmerized from the vegan variety here, and everything was delicious! Add to it the nicest service from Chrysa, the professional and patient worker here, and you get the perfect experience. Highly suggested, especially for vegans!

Great location and good fare. The Dubai Chocolate cake was delicious. But service is begrudging. I asked for a tray for the latte since a saucer was not provided. I was told to take one myself. It was the wrong size but the barista could not be bothered to reach out and give me the correct one. Nothing major but it just makes such a poor impression that they can't be bothered to be helpful when they hardly have any customers.
The coffee was a double even though we never asked for it. It was good that they offered to change it but, why cause this back and forth in the first place when you can just execute the order as requested by the client and avoid wasting the business a coffee?
Overall, we liked this place but if they intend to survive as a business they need to tackle the curse of poor service that has brought so many decent businesses down. Also, please, bring your own wipes, as the tables do not get cleaned in between customers.
Coffee Albeta in Thessaloniki is an absolute gem. I stopped by for a quick break and ended up discovering one of the best coffee spots in the city. The coffee was rich, smooth, and bursting with flavor—truly one of the best I've ever had. Their desserts were just as impressive: beautifully presented and irresistibly delicious.
What really made the experience special, though, was the atmosphere. Whether it was the cozy design, the friendly service, or the delicious aroma in the air, something about this place made me feel like I was floating—like I was in the sky. It's the kind of spot that lifts your mood and makes you want to linger a little longer.

Nice place with huge variety of sweets. We tried the pistachio baklava but I would not recommend it. The real nuts were just a few - the rest was some kind of paste with intense green color. The special tea was nice. The inside interior is cosy.

This place is in an absolutely stunning position with fantastic views. As a result, it's very popular. It was extremely busy when we got there and had to queue up outside, but the staff couldn't cope woth the amount. Of people and it was total chaos unfortunately. People pushing in. Saving tables, etc. Nobody understood the idea of a queue. There were also too many tables out making it feel like you squeezed in like sardines. It was so busy the staff simply couldn't keep up worh the orders. They did try very hard though, but they were understaffed for people they crammed in. The men's toilet was a health hazard. Urine soaked the floor and toilet, it hadn't been cleaned in some time and the smell was bad. Although a woman did come to clean it, but only so womcould use it too to reduce the toilet queue. Basically it's a stunning place that serves beautiful fresh food, and lovely drinks. But the lack of structure and organisation massively let it down. Such a shame.
Very beautiful traditional cafe with very cosy atmosphere! The sweets were very tasty . This time we had ekmek, mirmigkato ( vanilla cake with chocolate flakes in syrup with milk chocolate topping) and patsavouropita ( the alternative version of the Greek portokalopita). The service was also very friendly! The ekmek was my favourite! It was very fresh and the custard cream was very tasty!

Amazing bakery, this location is the best Albeta! Everything is so fresh. The location is so small and you need to wate a lot for coffee. The problem is if you are taking to go they give yours better if you eant to stay in location they keep you waiting which is not fair... please fix this issue because we waited 15 mins, andpeople come way before us took their coffee because they asked for to go.....
The latte tasted fine, but the Greek coffee was very stale and unfortunately not enjoyable at all. As for the desserts, neither the pastry nor the cream was well prepared. One of the desserts was also overwhelmingly sweet. Overall, it did not meet any of our expectations. We had hoped for a much better experience.

I have been 2-3 times . The one star review is not for the products or staff , and in general I hate to give bad reviews, in case I am not satisfied I don’t write anything at all . Nevertheless a business man myself with a PhD and running 2 hotels , construction company & a sports facility, I have no other option than to report the rude, unprofessional and hostile manner of the company’s woman owner . I have never met such a bad professional in my life , traveling in many countries every years. Even the personnel, were looking me in a sad way , trying to apologize with their eyes . Really not worth wasting more words .

I give one star for the service in this cafe. We bought 4 ice creams and a bottle of water. I asked the employee if I could sit at their table. (It was Sunday and there were few people, for your information). The girl at the cash register replied, "your water will cost more if you sit at the table." We left. I have never encountered such a stupid service :) Moreover, ice cream is the most common (like everywhere else).

I am from the UK (and an avid baker) and I have yet to go to a bakery as good as this one in my own country or in other countries I have visited. We stayed in the hotel next door and not a single day went by where we did not visit this bakery. From sandwiches and fresh bread to savoury pastries and patisserie to baklava…everything was simply delicious. Open nearly all day- there was something to buy at any time of day. We simply LOVED coming here. There is a nice outdoor area to sit and they also sold coffee and cold drinks too. My favourite was the spinach and cheese pastry, and their ham/cheese sandwich with fresh salad. Wonderful friendly staff who all spoke English. A true highlight of our trip to Hanioti 😄

You can find lots of amazing different pastries, pies, croissants, sandwiches, coffee, yoghurt and other drinks. Their staff didn't speak much English and were in a rush to serve the others, they weren't patient enough to wait for you ask and decide what you want. In Lemonis on the entrance of Hanioti there were some tables outdoors where you could eat breakfast, also there were many Greek people having their morning coffee.
Everything we tried was fresh and full of flavor. The staff were super friendly and helpful — made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend! 🤗

The best ice cream in Greece I think. The owners and employees are very professional and friendly. It is situated on main walking street in Nikiti just to the sea. So you can choose where you want to seat near the sea or urban part and look in sea. It is also good for quick bite. Cakes are also delicious. The space was eralyer in history soul, but now look very modern. It is good place to go with your kids. The beach is sandy. Behind the store are very nice apartments and rooms to let. All recommendations, just go and enjoy.

I used to like this café. But one terrible incident happened recently. A part of a heavy freezer fell on my little daughter’s foot. We went to get some ice cream, and it just broke off. I was in shock. The café doesn’t take care of its equipment. The freezer was very heavy, and I couldn’t move it.
The worst part was that the staff didn’t react at all. They didn’t care. They just brought us the bill for our coffee. They didn’t ask how my daughter was. They didn’t put any safety measures around the area. Later, the same freezer fell on my foot.
Their reaction? Nothing. I called the director of Freggio and left my phone number. But again—nothing. This is shameful.
Be careful and cautious when visiting this café.

This is our regular patisserie when we visit Thessaloniki annually. Usually very friendly staff. This time, the young lady in the shop, was quite rude. Did nor greet us or even make eye contact when we entered the shop in the evening for ice cream. Seemed more interested in the sweets she was handling, rather than the customers. I was ging to buy some other treats too to take with us to UK, but faced with her decided to just get ice cream.
I was in need of a quick cappuccino and this beautiful bakery/sweet shop was on my way. Besides making an excellent cappuccino (only €1.80), they gave us each a full size sample of their homemade nistisimo karidopita (Lenten walnut cake), which was delicious! Fantastic service- everyone was friendly, talkative, helpful and efficient...plus fair prices for excellent quality.

Nonetheless, the staff is friendly and all orders have been reported as fresh and delectable. Their espresso coffee has been hailed as the finest in Greece.
Had our lunch from this bakery and sat outside on their table in the shade. We had a filled roll and a wrap, both were fresh and tasty, we then took some desert back to our room. This will be our go to lunch place whilst we are here.

The praline they use is good, although too sweet for my taste. Had a ball of vanilla ice cream on top of it, which was amazing. This is a must visit if you lust for something sweet.
Totally scam. They charge extra for the cones other than scoop of ice cream and it has not been clearly informed, you learn at the cashier holding your ice cream in your hand. Great patisserie with lots of options. Tons of seating with AC inside, and several spots outside too. They also have lots of gelato flavors. The workers were not the nicest, but I know it was hard since we spoke English which can be frustrating for locals. They have a bathroom upstairs which was nice but very dirty. Also you must spend €6 per person in order to sit in their cafe, otherwise you must take to-go. Not an issue for us though, lots of desserts and coffee to choose from.

This shop has wide variety of cakes, sweets, ice crea, pastries. Good atmosphere and location, little costly.
We were made to feel completely unwelcome and uncomfortable from the moment we arrived. While others around us were given proper cutlery, cups, and ice for their drinks, we were handed wooden utensils and denied basic amenities. Our food was served cold, and even after requesting it be reheated, nothing was done.
When we politely asked for proper cutlery, a staff member responded by shouting at us in an unnecessarily rude and aggressive manner. It was deeply upsetting, especially as I am heavily pregnant, to be treated with such hostility simply for asking for assistance.
The contrast in treatment between us and other diners was stark, and it was hard to ignore the underlying racism in how we were approached and served. This was a distressing and humiliating experience.

The 70% dark chocolate ice cream is a chocolate lover's dream and it is vegan. It goes really well in combination with black forest ice cream or the peach/orange marmalade ice cream.

My absolute fav ice cream in Greece, such a huge variety in flavors and each one of them is unique. There are so many options you have to visit at least a couple of times. My fav flavor is Pistachio also their biscuit is top notch. A must try if you are in Thessaloniki
One of the best vegan ice creams ive ever had. Yes mostl all of the flavours are fruit based and they are sorbet but the texture and the smoothiness made it look like real ice cream. I lived the banana flavour as well as the mango (which I was not sure do try, but the girl who worked there suggested it and I'm glad). Its not expensive at all, and the selection of flavours is quite big. There are some fancy waffle cones with sprikles and other stuff and they also serve waffles with ice cream on top. There is a small area to sit, but because of the amount of people getting in its not enjoyable. I would suggested take your ice cream and head to the sea and enjoy it.
Amazing gelato! Ferrero, pistachio and salted caramel were the best of the flavours we tasted, but there were plenty more to choose from. Loved the fact that the stuff gave us to try some of the flavours while we were choosing our gelato combinations. They also serve two different flavours in one scoop, which is something I appreciate a lot. We are certainly going there again soon.
Probably one of the best places in town, but the hygiene needs improvement. I noticed the scoops were being cleaned and layer out on the table with dirty towels that the staff handled with their bare hands, which isn’t very sanitary. That’s the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars. If they fix this, it would easily deserve a perfect rating.

Not sure why the vegan sorbet is reviewed so highly. It’s not a plant based gelato, it’s a sorbet. There is virtually nothing a place like this can do to make Fruit, Sugar and Ice taste 5 stars.
It’s fine, but it’s not going to feature on a list of top 50 vegan ice cream in Europe. For that you need a pure vegan establishment or a place that tries to create a decent dairy-free gelato matching the depth of its dairy flavours.

This has always been my favorite bakery for its fresh and carefully made products. Your profiterole is a true classic for me; I come here for the 55-year-old recipe and the fresh chocolate sauce. However, during my visit yesterday, I was offered a profiterole for free because it was past its date, and both the chocolate sauce and freshness were noticeably different.
I don’t want a free product; I want a fresh one every time. I hope this was a one-off incident because this place has always been special to me.
Edit: Somehow it was like a very dense pudding but usually it felt like liquid chocolate sauce. I’ll definitely come back to try again and I’m sure it will be like before

I am only giving my opinion on 2 things we bought in this place and the service we received. They sell probably the best apple pie I've ever had and I am a big apple pie fan and coffee was great too. After our day cruise yesterday we stopped for coffee and a snack. We stopped there because it was full of people and we don't know this area good. One word describes our experience "FANTASTIC EVERYTHING"
They have very good coffee and a large variety of sweets and salty goods. The prices are excellent, and the ekmek kataif is a must-try. It gets pretty busy during high season, but it’s definitely worth a visit!
This is a great place if you are looking for a sweet lunch. So much so my partner and I stopped by for a sweet treat on several occasions. We had an assortment of desserts and each one was more delicious than the other.
The espresso and cappuccino they offer are one of the best i have had at a cafe or restaurant in a while, and pair well with the sweetness of the deserts.
Much appreciation to the servers here as they brought us water with the sweets even though we did not initially order some. They knew what they were doing. While their English is not great, this did not prevent the staff from prviding a wonderful service.

Coffee is bitter, more like a robusta based blend. There are a lot of sweets there if you like. And they even doing their own nougat in chocolate deserts (many different sizes). Deserts are too sweet.

Dramis Bakery in Hanioti is a very good spot if you’re in the mood for something sweet or want a quick bite. They have a huge variety of pastries, cakes, and other sweet treats, and the pistachio croissant I had was excellent, packed with filling and really flavorful. Savory options are okay, not as memorable as the sweets, but still decent.
Prices aren’t exactly cheap, but fair for the quality. You can also dine in, and they’ll serve your order on plates, which is a nice touch for a bakery.
The service isn’t super fast when it’s crowded but the staff were polite. All in all, a solid bakery with great sweets, definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby!
So yeah the blue one is the one that I requested but on pink , the macaroons not glazed in white and gold drip on the white, plain no filling in the macarrons the photo had blue filling mine supposed to have pink ,no pearls on the cake white and gold the mousse is .... just thrown over there not even tried to make it look nice . Yeah if you need custom special order try different place and on top of the cherry they charged me 2 € extra after they messed up the cake and looks like crap for the candle after they got 70 € for this cake ....inside it supposed to be pudding and fresh fruit completely wrong frozen cream and blueberry not raspberry no passion fruit no strawberry. Please avoid ordering custom stuff just buy what they have maybe they are better or let's hope they are better at that

We were pleasantly impressed by the gesture made by the staff of this establishment. While on a cruise, we made a stop in Neo Marmaras and stopped at Stefan’s for some ice cream. After the ship had departed, we realized we had forgotten one of our bags. The staff figured out that we were on the ship and eventually helped us recover the bag. We truly appreciate their attentiveness, as well as the quality of the products served.

I honestly don’t understand how some people can say this is the best ice cream they’ve ever had. To me, it was one of the most underwhelming ice creams I’ve ever tried – really disappointing. A complete miss; I wish I hadn’t even bothered.
It’s also a bit strange that people insist on eating Italian-style gelato in Greece, when Greek ice cream (pagoto) is actually excellent in most places. For example, Lemonis Bakery in Pefkohori, To Spitaki in Nikiti, or Ο Μύλος ο καλός στο Κλαζακι in Neos Marmaras all serve truly great ice cream.
A wonderful place to enjoy authentic fresh ice cream made with real fruit. I tried the strawberry and mango flavors both were bursting with real fruit taste and perfectly balanced. The coffee is excellent, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Definitely a must visit spot for anyone who appreciates quality and great taste.

Pantazis is a lovely patisserie with a great atmosphere and a wide variety of delicious desserts. Everything we tried was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The coffee was excellent and perfectly matched with the sweets. The staff were welcoming and polite, making the whole experience even better. It is definitely one of the best places in the area if you want to enjoy traditional and modern desserts in a cozy setting. We would happily come back again.
This coffee spot was recommended to us by corali hotel and it is a gem!! We ordered Greek coffee and me and my husband shared a bugasta (sorry for not writing correctly) it was filled with creme and very fresh!! We will go there again for sure!

We've been in love with this location, for the entire trip we've had in Sarti. Our kid had at least once a day home-made ice cream from Pantazis, where we've also had great cakes and sweets. Mornings are great to start with pastry made here, fresh each day - that's if you can get your hands on some, as it gets almost sold out early each day by regular customers that also recognize and appreciate the great taste. Nice atmosphere, good background music, friendly staff - a relaxing retreat from the city's commotion
Every 2 days we visited this pastry shop as it has a very high quality bougatsa, vanilla cream is the best! Also we appreciated that they had a vegan option with spinach without cheese, which was the same, very tasty. The espresso was also excellent. You need to come in the morning for bougatsa, as at noon or after, they are sold out.

What a nice location. Next to the steps uphill you can sit with candle light and have some drinks. And the young lady serving the drinks is very nice and is always friendly.

Erasmus student - my buddy brought me here. And it is crazy delicious. And so inexperience. We had 2 coffees and the breakfast menu for 8€. That is insane. And the Service is really nice. Really cheap. And they are so sweet, if you tip them, because it isn’t that common. Would recommend.

🍫The only criticism I have is the restroom which doesn't have a locker and when you go in just feels like you're in a completely different place. They're not dirty though, just kinda ugly and "claustrophobic", but it's just a restroom after all.

Emmanouil Mpezes is a patisserie located in Kwnstantinou Karamanli/New Egnatia street, Charilaou in Thessaloniki. It has some very nice and tasty products such as cakes. You can order coffee here and it has table service. It is next to Brysaki bus station and it is very easy to find it.

Ok, let me share this life-changing experience with the world.
I am not really an ice cream person. I like it, don't love it, rarely eat it. Today, though, was a hot beautiful day in Thessaloniki, so I stopped here in my daily walk. Maybe it was the big sign announcing "whisky ice cream" that got me there, who knows?
They have lots of flavors. I got really curious with some and got me a scoop of Bugatsa (a traditional Greek dessert) which was good, not great; and a scoop of feta cheese with honey, which was amazing.
But before leaving, I asked about that weird flavour "Tzatziki". There were slices of cucumber on the top of it, which was odd.
"It is different. Some cucumber, taste of garlic..."
GARLIC? IN MY ICE CREAM?
I was sold. I got back to the hostel, took a shower, answered some e-mails. I was planning to have dinner and some beers later, but my mind could only focus on one thing: cucumber-garlic ice cream. I Googled for Tzatziki: "is a class of dip, soup, or sauce found in the cuisines of Southeastern Europe and West Asia. It is made of salted strained yogurt, mixed with cucumbers, garlic, salt, olive oil, red wine vinegar, sometimes with lemon juice, and herbs such as dill, mint, parsley and thyme"
Wow! How's that for an ice cream?
I was obsessed. After sunset, I walked for 1.5 kilometers, focused on arriving at Pagoseto. I told the story of my day to the lovely server, who seemed truly interested in it. And I ordered the only possible order: a full cup of Tzatziki.
"It's the first time I see someone ordering a full cup of it", she told me, not in a judging way, but in an amazed congratulatory tone.
I paid (€2,40), left the place and sat on the bench immediately in front of the store.
The night was clean, with a wonderful dark-blue sky that I didn't pay attention to. There were cats around me, but I didn't look at them. I ignored the beautiful illuminated Greek ruins of the square. I heard children around, but I can only say that I heard them, and I heard little.
For exactly eleven minutes and fifteen seconds I was paying attention only to my Tzatziki ice cream. I could feel pieces of cucumber. I could taste the garlic. Herbs? Yes! Thyme, maybe.
"Nobody orders a full cup of this", was that the server told me? How can? What do people order? Boring strawberry? Dull chocolate? Incomplete vanilla?
I finished that ice cream to the last drop. How would be my life now? How could I leave Thessaloniki and get away from this ice cream? Do I have to get back to the unpronounceable Hagen Dazs, or to the overrated Bacio di Late? How can one go back to his old life after that experience?
I sat on that bench and 12 minutes later I walked out of that square. I was planning to have dinner, but I didn't. I was satiated. Not only on my stomach, but also on my soul.

Terrific - located amongst the other shops in the square (?), this is a great place to stop and purchase a delicious ice-cream. Friendly staff and great service. The pistacchio was wonderful.
Homemade authentic gelato. The cute little nonna working there said her husband makes all the gelato himself, and it shows - whole chunks of real ingredients (like strawberries or bueno pieces) and quaint hand written signs. Definitely forego the touristy mass produced ice cream places and come here instead!
They even do a sugar free gelato (chocolate) which is made with manitol/sorbitol - you just have to ask as she keeps it out the back!
I came specifically because the ice cream is made in house by the lovely owners. I was able to try a few flavors before deciding on the ouzo, Oriental spices and dark chocolate. What a delicious treat, I highly recommend Pagoseto!
We tried the pistachio ice cream and it was really delicious! 🍦 Also, it was a nice surprise that the staff member, a woman, spoke Turkish. Her Turkish was really good, and she was so sweet and friendly. If you’re ever around, definitely give it a try!
Pagoseto became our favorite ice cream shop in Thessaloniki. We were trying out new flavors every evening during our vacation, and we loved so many of them, but in the final voting we chose the bougatsa, strawberry and mojito as our favourites. The staff is also extremely friendly, they helped us with our travel plans. Amazing experience!!
Would highly recommend this great ice-cream place. They have a lot of flavors and the quality of the ice-cream is excellent. It’s not too sweet and artificial like in some other shops, and you can really taste the fruit inside. It became our regular stop every evening during our vacation.

It's a cute stone hut with a big terrace branded with Willy the bee from the kids TV show Maya the bee (that also has one bee charakter called Kassandra, which is not the figure the ice cream parlor has on site). I have the good fortune to be staying in a building right near this fine establishment during my first vacation in Thessaloniki and my second in Greece. I was already a fan of their excellent sweets and ice cream treats, but today I had such a fantastic experience, I had to share. The charming and avuncular proprietor, Marios Papadopoulos, took me on a tour of the many specialities of the shop, which meant I could sample delights I'd not read of in the guide books, such as the decadent halva and sweet soft brioche. I even picked up some savoury sausage rolls for a picnic lunch in Seih Sou, a wonderful oasis of nature. And all this on a Sunday, when most Greek businesses are closed. The shop is even open tomorrow, during a national holiday. Mr. Papadopoulos showed me pictures of him greeting Pope Francis and Emmanuel Macron (and Mme Macron, no doubt as charmed as i was!). Like so much of this wonderful country, Averof's wares are of excellent quality and reasonably priced. Do yourself a favour and pop in, and give yourself a taste of sweet sweet Thessaloniki!

Coming from the UK, the sweet shops and patisseries here in England don't remotely compare with the offerings in Greece. From the design of their shops to the attentive and friendly customer service and quality of their deserts; and one of the best in the city of Naousa is Thomas' pudding. I have been coming to this family run shop for many years and I can honestly say it's not just one of the best in Naousa but in Greece. The orange cake is one of my recent favourites but you must try their Podinga (it's what they're famous for) if you've not eaten here before. Highly recommended.

It's self service meaning you put all the ingredients yourself but the customer service is lacking, employees don't like it when kids put the ingredients themselves. They're fine with using the self service method to make people add way more than usual but they don't like it when kids do it.
Weird, you spent nearly 10 euros on a yogurt and they act like they're doing you a favor
Chillbox is seriously one of my favorite spots! The waffles are amazing – crispy, fresh, and just the right amount of sweet. Their frozen yogurt and ice cream hit different, especially with all the toppings you can mix in.
The staff is always super friendly and laid-back, and shoutout to the boss – you can tell he puts real heart into the place. Great vibes all around. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Frozen Yogurt Cafe is the best place for delicious frozen yogurt in town. You can find a variety of flavors each day, with great chocolate toppings, fruits and nuts. The owner is always so sweet and takes great care to make sure that all of the frozen yogurt is gluten-free for those with dietary restrictions. This spot is definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves sweets!

By far the best frozen yogurt in town. You can find every day fresh choices with great chocolate topping, fruits and nuts. Always a pleasure visiting FYC. And above all, frozen yogurt is of course gluten free and you can enjoy it with freshly made gluten free w a f f l e s upon request. A must-visit place for sure.

The best frozen yogurt I ever had. Tastes like real yogurt and the toppings are amazing. Even though I live abroad now I always crave the frozen yogurt from this place. Got a little bit scared cause it used to be in the center of Thessaloniki were I used to go when I was younger but they relocated and my friend told me randomly 2 days ago. Thank god I found out and went 😂

If I could, I would give it 0 stars. The frozen yogurt was a complete disappointment – do not buy it. I tried the chocolate and mango flavors, and they were spoiled, had a sour taste, and were simply not edible.

The Frozen Yogurt is amazing and the choice of toppings is also good, although I wished they had more fruit. You can mix different flavors of yogurt (chocolate, mango, natural, cookies) and choose as many toppings as you want. You pay according to how heavy the whole thing is. The price is quite expensive.

The best frozen yogurt I've had in my life hands down, professional super-fast service and great central spot in Marmaras where you can chill watching the evening promenade.
We stayed in Marmaras for a week last summer and kept coming back to Happy Cow every single day. Once you try, you just get hooked.

Whole team made me feel like I came to my grandma's bakery - cozy, welcoming, attentive.
They cook everything from scratch, all homemade - which obviously shows in the quality of the pastry.
My choice: kotopita, bougatsa tiri, croissant with cheese and loukaniko.

The cheesecake lover's oasis is a small patisserie located in the Roman Agora with the same name. All of the ingredients used in making the cheesecakes are pure, high quality and do not contain preservatives or additives. Some of the cheesecake alternatives available at Cheesecake & Co include Greek versions, baked New York style cheesecakes, red velvet cheesecakes, carrot cake cheesecakes and lemon pie cheesecakes. The service here is good enough.

A very sweet little store with a great selection of cheesecakes! They have multiple types, and everything seems to be freshly baked right in the shop. The staff was extremely friendly, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into their cakes.
I tried the Basque Cheesecake, but personally, I wasn’t a fan—it was much softer and more buttery than the cheesecakes I’m used to. If you love rich, creamy textures, you might enjoy it more than I did.
The only downside for me was the price. At €4.50 per slice, it felt a bit too expensive for what it was. Still, for true cheesecake lovers, it’s definitely worth trying when in Thessaloniki!

In the era of powdered milk, powdered eggs, powdered everything, where a piece of cake just ends up tasting like sugar and not much anything else, no matter if it’s chocolate, vanilla, praline, caramel aso, this place is heaven. Excellent, full, well-combined flavours, clearly discernible in every bite, light & delicious. Moreover, all cakes are aesthetically pleasing, which only adds to their perfection. I won’t stop till I’ve tried everything twice- and then I’ll start all over again. Totally worth my jeans not fitting properly 👌🏻
Truly soft and tasty cheesecakes! They aren’t too sweet the way people make them sometimes and they give you a melting feeling in your mouth. The brownies I once tried were also good. I recommend the “New York” cheesecake. Good enough service.
First of all, the cakes are great. The texture is nice, rich taste, not too sweet, and stylish presentation. Hovewer, the service is a bit disappointing. I ordered a birthday cake 1 and a half week prior to the date. We established the date and time, I left my phone number, we checked twice if it was written correctly. I hadn't received any texts or calls. When I went to pick my order up, the place was closed. I called the business number and was informed that the place will be open in 4 hours. It was during the official open hours, there was no indication on the door that the schedule was different that day. I was lucky that the cake was not for an official event, just for the family. Maybe the problem was that we discussed everything in English, I don't speak Greek. But now I'm torn if I should order something the second time for my own birthday soon, because the quality of sweets is very good, but the service is unreliable.
