Ancient Ruins
Perched atop Mount Saint Angelo in Italy's Lazio region, the Temple of Jupiter Anxur is a first-century BC structure dedicated to the god Jupiter as a boy and young man. The ancient Romans referred to Terracina as it is, while the Volscians called it Anxur. From the Town Hall Square, visitors can admire this temple along with stunning views of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
incredible views of the coastline, you need a cab ride to the summit...but walking downhill to the town is a great walking tour of the area

Awesome location, awesome views, prices are very fair (10€ entry). However, they could’ve added more information (signs etc.) within the complex as you sometimes didn’t exactly know what which wall/building was.

Well worth the trip and a unique, mysterious place - the cave gave me the willies!

Highly recommended for those wishing to spend an hour surrounded by history going back 2000 years not to mention those spectacular views. Easy parking

The view is stunning. The archeological sites are interesting. There are a few areas that need fixing or not accessible which could be improved. The path is rough, it could be improved for people with limited access too at least to the main points.
Marco S — Google review
This place is amazing, very worthwhile to come and see. The ancient ruins are fascinating and the views down onto Terracina and the ocean are stunning. Cost 7 euros to get in and worth every cent.
Harald H — Google review
Worthy only if you happen to be in the area, as little is left. Best part is the well preserved cryptoporticus.
Metalpsyche82 — Google review
Absolutely magic place, half way between Rome and Napoli, that should be more highlighted and better known. With ancient Terracina downstairs one may feel like moving in time. The site was worshipped long time before the Temple of Jovis Anxur was founded. Wonderful place for pic-nick, and hiking, especially if you are without a car.

Terracina Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Saint Caesarea, is a historic site with a rich blend of architectural styles. Originally built in the 5th century on the remains of a Roman temple to Augustus, it has undergone several renovations over the centuries. The interior features a beautiful marble ambo and 13th-century Cosmatesque flooring. The cathedral overlooks a picturesque square and houses three decorated altars and a stone pulpit resting on four carved animals.

(Translated by Google) Built in the early Middle Ages, the cathedral of San Cesareo in Terracina immediately captures attention thanks to the view it offers. The facade is introduced by a portico of ancient columns, decorated with animal figures and a splendid mosaic frieze. Next to it, the Roman-Gothic bell tower is enlivened by an elegant series of loggias. The triumphal arch and the interior, with three naves, are also beautiful to behold. The cathedral overlooks the monumental area of the city, where the medieval grain tower and the Roman archaeological area stand out.

Antico Complesso Monumentale del Foro Emiliano is a significant historical site in Terracina, offering a glimpse into the city's Roman past. The complex includes ancient ruins such as the remains of city walls, the forum with a surviving column, and an archway on the Appian Way. The site is currently undergoing excavation, but some parts are exposed and fascinating to explore.
Su much history and things to see and appreciate. Few areas were closed and off limits due to new excavations and restoring. Public buildings were closed (it was Sunday night) however picturesque shops and local restaurants were all open.

Very old historical complex from Roman times in the old section of Terracina a beach town 1 hour south of Rome you can also sit in the square...there is an old coffee shop that has been there for well over 100 years and have a great cup of coffee and relax.
Joseph O — Google review
The site is currently being exscavated but some of it is exposed and very interesting. Nestled in the heart of the antique centre of town, it's a true representation of blending of old and new, typical of Italian ancient cities. It's truly worth the uphill walk to visit the site, admire the views, have a bite to eat and soak up some history.

The church, dating back to the late 18th century, features a unique architectural design with a square exterior and circular interior. As you enter, you'll be greeted by a large skeleton above the front door and more skeletal decorations within. The facade of the church showcases three elliptical windows representing the Holy Trinity.

On the facade of the church three elliptical windows represent the Holy Trinity. Inside the church, in addition to various decorations, a cross stands out where objects that refer to the story of the passion have been applied. Very interesting church, worth the visit. Pisco Montano is a remarkable feat of ancient Roman engineering located between Monte S. Angelo and the sea, along the Old Appian Way between Rome and Naples. This monumental work was created around the third century BC to facilitate passage on the Appian Way, with Emperor Trajan commissioning a cliff cut in 104 AD to expedite movement of Roman troops and supplies towards Brindisi.

To provide passage to the ancient Appian Way, which previously ran through high hills around the third century BC, skillful Roman engineers and architects created a cutout of this mountain that extended to the sea. Today, the artificial ledge next to the promenade and beaches is illuminated in the summer and is a romantic attraction. (Original) Гора Писко. (Translated by Google) It is a natural monument at the southern entrance of Terracina, there is no entrance or ticket to pay, you can only admire the work of man who, to allow a more agile passage of the Appian Way towards the south, literally "shortened" the mountain leaving this rock spur to guard the sea and access to the city through the Neapolitan gate. In ancient times it was the seat of a guardhouse later occupied by brigands, the buildings can still be seen on the side of the mountain, and many still wonder how the men managed to get there. Symbol of Terracina together with the Temple of Jupiter Anxur above. Terracina Capitolium

Historical landmark
Sights & Landmarks
Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Terracina Capitolium is a significant archaeological site featuring a large covered gallery likely used for processions. The structures supporting the terrace showcase exemplary Roman construction techniques. Adjacent to Piazza del Municipio, massive remains of another temple, identified as the Capitolium, date back to 50-40 BC and were dedicated to the Capitoline Triad. The integration of ancient monuments with the current habitat in Terracina creates a captivating atmosphere, making it an ideal film set.
Beautiful spot
Manuel G — Google review
(Translated by Google) During the Republican age, outside the Emilian Forum, a temple was built by the Romans, perhaps dedicated to the Capitoline Triad (composed of Jupiter, Juno and Miniverva). During the Middle Ages, however, this architectural complex was incorporated into a house (in fact we can observe still some stone blocks), destroyed during the Second World War. The building is composed of three cells, built using the Opus Reticolatum technique. They have also a floor reconstructed in the modern era. To access these rooms, you had to use a staircase (currently there is a metal one). Furthermore, the structure had columns in Doric-Tuscan style (only one is very visible). There was also an accessible underground part only to priests, the Favisse (Favissae). The latter, used in past centuries as a cellar, are composed of a barrel vault, a corridor and three rooms (built using the Opus technique Reticolatum). In the first there is the face of Gaius, nephew of Augustus. In the second there is the upper part of the head of Livia Drusilla, wife of Augustus. In the third there is the face of Gaius Julius Caesar and at the bottom the corridor, there is the statue of the god Serapis. However, these sculptures were found at the Roman Theatre. This beautiful archaeological site was opened to the public after many years of excavations and restorations and can be admired on a guided tour. Behind this building there is also a stretch of the Appian Way.

Porta Romana

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Porta Romana, also known as Porta Grande, is a historic structure in Nepi with three gates framed by flat edges. The main access features a door and creates a cramped interior space to block enemies. In Terracina, the Roman gate dates back to the 18th century and was built on the occasion of Pope Pius VI's visit. It opens into the ancient walls surrounding Terracina and is backed by an old watchtower.

(Translated by Google) The Roman gate of Terracina actually dates from the 18th century. It was built in 1780, on the occasion of the visit of Pope Pius VI. On the other hand, it is backed by an old watchtower and opens into the ancient walls which surrounded Terracina. Above all, it gives access to one of the main streets which crosses the city from one side to the other, with in the center the square of the municipio du duomo around which you can discover the remains of the Roman monuments (temples and theater), in place as if you found yourself immersed in antiquity. The streets have a lot of charm. However, it is better to leave the car outside the old town, before going through the Romana gate. Good visit. Stayed overnight at a hotel nearby. They recommended 116 to us (me and my wife). Seems like it is the place to be at least food wise. We didn’t have a booking and we got there the place looked empty. It must have been all booked up though as they accommodated us in the back garden. Super friendly staff, delicious food and extremely quick service. I reckon they had a whole army of waiters and chefs and I figured out why - the restaurant got packed in the next 30 minutes. Easy 5 stars from us!

This is such a great hotel. We were treated so nicely. Our room and the service were great. Breakfast and other meals were always the best. Our view was spectacular. You'll be glad you stayed here. If you're celebrating a special occasion, you'll be so glad you did.

We were recommended this restaurant but we couldn't enjoy the evening. Very noisy, lots of personnel but every time we asked something there was a new waiter coming. Pasta alle vongole disappointing - we had better experience in the center of Rome. Fried seafood - a childish portion for seaside restaurant. Tiramisù...almost frozen. The best was white wine which we had to serve ourselves although initially we were offered even to taste. And wine was brought after the second reminder. Very disappointing and expensive for such quality. Very supprised to see so many locals with kids there.

We had to wait circa 2 and a half hours at the table full of flies for a terrible food. We tried 4 different anti-pasta and 2 prima. They were not good at all except the fried mixed seafood. One particular fish smelled very funny. I don't think it was fresh. Only tiramisu was very good. I'm very disappointed that I had to pay so much money for such an unpleasant menu.

The staff was very friendly especialy an Albanian waitress that was last night ! We were staying at one of their apartments and they gave us a 15% discount as we were their hotel Guests ! Highly recommend !

Very good for the price (off-season). Attention: the "rooms with view on the sea" are quite different: either side view, or spectacular full 180-degrees view. It's worth asking for the full view if available.

I booked one single room for four nights and they cleaned the room and changed the sheets and towels every day. The room had one double bed, a dresser, a mini fridge and a balcony. In one of the days I pressed the stoper in the sink and it got stuck; they fixed the problem by the end of the day with no problem. Great staf !

Absolutely loved this place. We stayed a night and the hotel room was super simple but clean and comfortable, with a great sea view from our balcony. But the restaurant was the highlight for me. Simple menu with fantastic food and wine - from seafood pastas to freshest wood-fired dough pizzas (only in evening as they only fire up the oven in the evenings). Staff were incredibly friendly and professional throughout. And great value! Would highly recommend.

Food was delicious, whole new experience of sea food, risotto and gnocci. At the end we have been offered a shot of italian limoncello and biscuits. It took little long time to bring the receipt. And after going back to hotel, we felt with my partner very heavy after the food. Otherwise the taste was perfect.👍

#1 in Terracina (for us)!!!! Great service, great location, great fresh seafood 👌. Very good level of everything. MUST DO in Terracina. We were nicely surprised, it exceeded all our expectations because from outside or from Internet it doesn't show the huge restaurant and outdoor garden that they have in addition to the street terrace. It was full of local people for Wednesday dinner. I managed hotel-restaurant in Tuscany for 10 years and from professional point of view I can definitely tell that they are doing a great job. So very recommend for fresh seafood meal with great service.

1. Food. Spaghetti vongole was on the bland side, seafood risotto was ok. Appreciated warm complementary bread and olives. 2. Service. Mixed feelings. Our wine order was mixed up (and I have a feeling it was done on purpose) from 35€ to 70€ wine. Quite a difference. The expensive wine was great though. They have a big wine card, make sure to memorize the exact name of the wine you’re ordering. Complementary digestivo was much appreciated. 3. Atmosphere in general is fine. I wouldn’t choose to sit in the garden again because of mosquitos. Or bring a spray.

Probably the only place in town you should go for seafood. It's a cooperative with the local fishermen - and the flavours really do prove that. We were overwhelmed by the delicious seafood and the cosy vibe you get when you sit outside on the bridge. Honest prices and the fish was so fresh, it almost dived back into the water.. So good we went there twice 😅 (the second time for takeaway)

Great food and although it's a self service (I don't mind, I came to pay for the food!!) people where super nice ♥️

We made the mistake of visiting this restaurant at the busiest time on a Saturday night. There was a queue that took us about half an hour to navigate, with no attempt at social distancing. The food is good. A wide range of seafood and fish dishes, served cantine style, then you take your tray of food and search for a table. There's plenty of table space, some under cover, and plenty outside. If you are lucky you can find a space on the bridge itself. Although the food is good, it is nothing special, and the price per plate is not significantly cheaper than a place with table service. So find for an evening out with the family, but won't win any points for a date.
Mark J — Google review
The worst dinner in a restaurant I had in all my life. Probably the worst place to eat in Terracina, just a rip off, the food is not fresh ,probably is frozen food from far away not from the area,it's expensive, the staff put you under pressure for eat fast because they need the table for the next customer, they don't let you even finish your plate.

Really good Pizza :) We were a group of 3, arrived shortly after they opened. We were the only customers (not main tourist season). The staff was friendly, service was nice and fast. We had one Suppli (crispy fried rice ball with cheese stuffing) and 3 pizzas, the ones with "melanzane" tasted a little smokey (but really good). The pizzas are big with thin dough and the crust is crispy. They also have local wines in the fridge (Sant Andrea, 10/10 can recommend). Even the "skeptic" in our group enjoyed his meal. ;) The interior is more practical than pretty but everything was clean. Bonus point: We forgot an umbrella at the table, one of the guys came running after us and gave it back. Grazie mille!

just for the benefit of English-speaking visitors who might be considering trying this restaurant. we were booked in at the Grand Palace just a few hundred yards away. it was mid-October, certainly not the high-season. asked at the hotel about restaurants. they pointed toward Capannina and some others. Capannina was first and we were tired so we stopped. At first i thought we were on a movie set: no one there, everything dressed in white tablecloths, chair covers, draping, lamps, hangings, everything--white. They assured us that they were indeed open for dinner. This was about 8PM. So we sat at a table that would have had a beach view had it been daylight. Massimo (probably part owner, at least--he had on a $18000.00 Rolex watch), spoke English well and explained the menu so we understood everything including the few ''specials' that they were offering. So we ordered a few appetizers, and main courses. We thought we would be the only 4 in the place until people started arriving about 8:45. We had wine and then our starters. And then we waited, and waited.....and waited for our main courses. All the while, other tables were served and were eating. Finally our meal came and they were OK. 2 had fish....good but the potato wrapping was way to salty. 2 had the particular pasta that they recommended, also good. At this time there were about 25 people in the whole cavernous place. If it was daylight, i would have needed sunglasses to ease the whiteness of everything. So then we attempt to get the check. Italy is generally great in that you don't get the check until asking. We couldn't find anyone to ask. We waited 35 minutes for the check and another 15 minutes to present the credit cards. Total time for probably the worst meal of our 3 weeks in Italy: 2 hours 55 minutes. Really......can't believe we actually sat through this whole ordeal. But, as Americans, we didn't want to cause any problems and have people looking at us and cluck-clucking. As a final thought...I'd pass on this one.

Antica Dogana

$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Antica Dogana is a popular spot in town known for its exceptional food and beer selection. They offer top-quality craft beers and a variety of delicious meals, including buffalo meat, stone-cooked pizzas (a rarity in Italy), and excellent burgers. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. However, on weekends, especially Saturdays, there tends to be a long wait due to the high demand, so it is advisable to make a reservation beforehand or arrive early.
Food is grate and atmosphere like at home. The stakes are one of the best o have tried
Ireneusz W — Google review
I had been here twice as the guy from the till has apologised when I been the first time and I do believe that mistakes can happen so I did try the second time, unfortunately nothing changed. The first time we been requesting the meet to be cooked medium to well and it came medium rare with no flavour at all as in their menu proudly specified “carne irlandesa”, coming from Ireland the quality is lower than the cheapest Dunnes beef. When we asked the waiter about our meat he has replied “ what you wanted burned “ rude and with a very high level of voice. Nobody is asking you during dinner if is everything ok or if you need anything. The second time as I said before I do believe mistakes happen we were there again unfortunately the meet preparation was same with no exemptions. The service is not available at all, you are looked just to be taken the order and to pay the bill. With no any other interaction. I do believe that the costumers in this place should give the right feedback. Never again back

Best place in town to have meals and beers!!! They offer craft beers top quality, also top quality meals as buffalo meat, pizzas cooked on stones!! (very rare in Italy!! Usually pizzerias use classic wood ovens), excellent burgers and so on.. That's why during weekends (mainly Saturdays) you've long line and you need to reserve on the spot due too many people on the line. Great prices considered quality! Unfortunately the number of waiters isn't enough Saturdays so there's a little bit of waist of time waiting to order and then to eat. You've literally to call them more than one time to be served. Go early!!! Just for that 4*, otherwise it's a fully 5* place!!!

We knew it was a good fish restaurant but really did not expect such a high quality gourmet meal. We shall be back to try some of your meat dishes too. Amazing wine list charming and efficient service. Extremely comfortable atmosphere, just perfect. THANKYOU.

We found this place by accident and what a jewel. From the smoked salmon and cheese plate, the amazing warm foccocia bread and attentive waiter. Every dish was exquisite. Our palat was tantalized with many subtle flavors and textures. Our hats off to the chef and staff. Thank you

(Translated by Google) We don't go to Terracina often, but we always go to La Lanterna. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and we always feel welcome. The food is always great; the dishes are delicate and perfectly balanced. The cuisine is extremely good. As always, it was an experience. I recommend the restaurant 100% and it's a must-visit if you're in Terracina. Unfortunately, we found out that they're moving to a different location next year, up in the city center. That's a bitter loss for the city center, but fortunately, they don't just stop.

Parking can be a problem on weekends. (Original) Rauwe vis met fantasie gepresenteerd. Bediening is goed. Wijnkaart is veelzijdig. Hosteria Le Muraccia

$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Hosteria Le Muraccia is a charming restaurant located in the old historic part of town, offering an excellent dining experience. The establishment is known for its delicious breaded cutlet, perfect for children due to its generous portion size. Guests can also indulge in tender cuts of meat such as entrecotte and Scottish cut, accompanied by grilled vegetables and chicory. The quality of the food is consistently high, with the best steak in town being a standout dish.
Excellent food and beautiful terrace to sit outside. We had the Argentinian Entrecôte and can highly recommend. The service was a bit rushed and pushy which we didn’t like. But the food was promptly served and made of fresh, qualitative ingredients.

The meat was perfectly cooked and also the side dishes had good quality! Prices generally in line with the quality

Lovely place. Delicious food. Excellent service. Reasonable prices.

Overall excellent food, the only limiting factory for a 5 star review was the relatively slow service and long waiting time

food quality is of high standard, great setting in the old historic part of town

Le Due Sorelle Terracina

$$$$affordable
Seafood restaurant
Le Due Sorelle Terracina is a charming family-run restaurant that captures the essence of Italian dining. With its inviting atmosphere and vintage decor, it offers a delightful experience for seafood lovers. Guests rave about the freshness of the seafood, served in generous portions that leave you satisfied. The warm hospitality from the staff adds to the welcoming vibe, making it a beloved local spot worth revisiting.
Really delicious seafood - huge portions! They are a super hospitable family run restaurant who’ve been there for years. We will be returning!

Very good. Per two-person, the main course was enough, for this our dish were full, and it was excellent "Spaghetti alle vongole". The quality-price ratio was very right. The bill was around 100 € because the Orata with potatoes was tasty but a lot (1Kg/60€) and some white wine. The only flaw was too noisy and personnel wasn't too prepared, concluding with local insider was really roughing.
Sofia T — Google review
I really enjoyed this restaurant, a specially the see food it was very fresh, staff warr amazing and the place has an old look to it very nice, its a taste of Italian food at its best.
Silvia T — Google review
Not meant to be a fancy place, but it does its job. Pasta portions are huge, I recommend the vongole option which was really good even though swimming in oil. Fried fish is also good, but not as generous portions; frittura di paranza much better compared to the calamari one. Service could be improved, those girls could throw a smile here and there. With 20 EUR/person it's possible to get a complete meal. Surprisingly, no credit cards accepted whatsoever.
Enrico S — Google review
Overcrowded and badly organized. Staff don't have a clue what is going on in the kitchen. The line of people waiting is badly managed by staff so guests try to get any table as soon as they can. Total caos. The cooks come air of the kitchen and sit down at the tables while customers are waiting for a seat in the line. Avoid this place! They do not know what they are doing! No idea of hospitality!!!!
Renato C — Google review
Too loud, lousy live music played by nosy makers that can be classified more as noisy than music....and consequentially you can imagine what sort of people you can find in there ....
Lorenzo C — Google review
Avoid this place! Mussolini pictures on the wall hailing the Duce...food comes in absurdly huge portions, service is cold and indifferent...
Mimmeli17 — Google review
Casual local spot with great seafood. The menu options seems to have gotten smaller and the prices higher?

Transportation in Terracina

Getting around Terracina can be a little daunting if you’re new here. We can help list some of the major public transportation methods if you don’t want to rely on a car.

Nearby airports

Giovan Battista Pastine International Airport

International airport
Giovan Battista Pastine International Airport, also known as Ciampino Airport, is one of Rome's two main airports. It is a smaller airport located about 12km from the city center. Despite its size, it offers convenient transportation options such as buses, trains, and taxis to reach the heart of Rome. The airport features a variety of shops and boutiques where travelers can purchase souvenirs and Italian products.
I have been to Rome, Italy twice now from our home in Manchester, England both times flying in amd out of Rome, Ciampino Airport aka Giovan Battista International Airport. First time was November 2022 and latest was October 2025, My First visit was a fantastic experience as the Airport is small and we landed and were through Customs in no time and inside the terminal you can book a coach into the centre, Car rental or official taxis outside the exit to the right there is a set fare of €48 from The airport to the centre of Rome/Surrounding areas of Rome. Airport is spotlessly clean, plenty of staff on hand, Very efficient, Fast through Customs and before we knew it we were in a a taxi to our hotel the Occidental Aran Park. Outbound 2022 we got a taxi back to the Airport again this was a set fare of €48, We had checked in online and headed straight through Security(We always recommend Fast Track Security), Again we breezed through Security and Customs and before we knew it we were in the departure lounge where there is a Mcdonalds, Duty Free store, Sandwich shops that serve salads, Beer, Wine, Soft drink, Sandwiches etc. Inbound October 2025 again we flew into Ciampino Airport and again super easy to navigate Customs and again before we knew it within minutes we were at the Official Taxi rank and again it was €48 to the centre of Rome(You can pay cash or card but most prefer cash) to our Airbnb in Monteverde. Outbound we checked out of our Airbnb and booked a taxi through ITTAXI APP(Its the official taxi app for Italy) again it came to €48 but the driver wanted cash i only had €40 so he took the cash, Again we had checked in online and we had Fast track through Security again within minutes we had cleared Security and we were in the departure lounge(There are only 2, A and B) again you there is a duty free shop, Mcdonalds, Sandwich shops etc and when you get through to departure lounge A or B there is ample seating along with USB and USB C charging points along with european plug sockets to charge laptops, Phones, Tablets, smart watches etc. Again plenty of staff on hand, Airport is spotlessly clean, Very efficient and easy to navigate, If you are flying out from Departure lounge B just know there are no toilets once you pass through the E-Gate and you only have vending machines for snacks, hot and cold drinks etc. Again departure was super smooth, Polite and friendly staff only issue was a 2 hour delay due to Frencg Air Traffic Control strikes(As we had to pass over France) but it happens. 5☆

It is easy to use the Ciampino Airlink service to get in and out to Roma Termini. It is very affordable. Taxi costs around €30. The airport is not too big, so the traffic isn’t bad. It didn’t take long for us to get through security check and immigration. Also the Ryanair check in didn’t take long. The toilets are very clean here and very tap provides tap water. There are McDonald’s, different deli shops here. They are def more expensive than in the city. There are quite some ATMs/cash points around. One is from Unicredit group so I don’t think it will charge ATM fees like EURONET. The immigration officials are very nice, especially the one from the UK. It would be even better if they could provide some child facilities.

For those still unsure if it’s possible to spend the night (August 2025): From like 10/11 pm the DEPARTURES are CLOSED, you can wait in the ARRIVALS. Someone will come and check your boarding passes. However at 3am you HAVE TO move to the departures hall, at 4am the security checks begin and then you can go through and have access to cafés with drinks and foods. There is nowhere to sleep but on the floor basically, and there is bright light all night. So we stayed up all night but then I wasn’t feeling all that great during our flight so I wouldn’t really recommend it. But it’s doable. Otherwise I think the airport is fine, I had no problems.

My recent experience at Giovan Battista Pastine International Airport offered a truly unique start to my Roman adventure! While my flight schedule had an unforeseen adjustment, I found it an opportunity to embrace the local atmosphere. The boarding process was certainly memorable: a proactive transition to a spacious, sun-drenched 'greenhouse' area, where one can truly bask in the Roman warmth at 36 degrees. A highly immersive waiting experience, quite distinct from typical airport lounges! The airport staff, though efficient, maintained a wonderfully discreet presence, adding to the streamlined flow. It's clear that while the airport provides the infrastructure, flight operations are the airline's domain. For any specific queries, their helpful team directs you to the airline or their online suggestions form. If you appreciate a robust, distinctly Roman start to your journey, embracing both the sun and efficient, if unconventional, processes, this airport provides a memorable send-off!

So this is just for Ryannair? Then perfect! Not busy at all, easy to get through. Walked right out for our taxi within Aurelian walls. Departing: two of our party did have to get pulled aside for swipes but not like other major airports. There was the usual duty free shops. There were counters for Lavazzo coffee, pizza, and salads, reasonably priced for an airport; their auto-screens did not appear to work well, so you would have to stand in queue. There was a kiosk for McDonalds, not counter service; they delivered from another location. There are toilets before passport control but there are also others past. For our gate B1, it was on a lower level floor. The gate areas was very crowded, and there were only a couple of people in the lounge around the corner. We did have to take bus in and out for our plane.

I arrived at the airport around 2am, flight was not until 7.45am, security asked for tickets and then let me in, not super comfy, but still good. Saw a lady have an issue with expired travel document but the airport staff handled it really well. Staff were really nice.

Not really a fan of small airports so I didnt really like this one. Also the connection to the Rome City Centre could be better cause as of today you need to take the bus to Ciampino and then a 15m train ride to Rome, which isnt very convenient as a direct train from airport for example.
