The restaurant’s design and atmosphere are absolutely stunning—5/5. The beautiful decor, relaxing music, and overall vibe create such an inviting and enjoyable dining experience. Even the design of the plates and the elegant presentation of the food added a special touch to the overall charm. That said, the service could use a little improvement. While the staff greeted us warmly upon arrival, they became less attentive after we were seated. Regular check-ins were rare, especially early on, and small details like having tissues on the table were overlooked. This was a bit surprising, as the service during previous visits had been much friendlier and more attentive. As for the food, it wasn’t quite as good as I had hoped this time. The portions seemed slightly smaller, the pasta was undercooked, and the spaghetti bolognese had too much garlic, which made it hard to enjoy. Unfortunately, a few hours after dining, we experienced some stomach discomfort and I personally had nausea, which hasn’t happened before in previous visits. In summary, the ambiance, food presentation, and overall design are exceptional, but with a little more focus on service and food quality, this restaurant could be truly amazing. Thank you!

What a delightful experience! Our visit to Stocco was booked in the evening after a long day of exploring Manchester. And this venue gave us a perfect finish for the great day we had. The meal was absolutely exquisite. Spaghetti Gamberoni was perfectly cooked with gentle prawn and complimenting sauce. The Piccante pizza was saturated with flavours that worked together perfectly. Even a person with sensory issues in our group admitted that this was the most delicious bolognese they have ever had. The drinks were refreshing and not too sweet. Tiramisu was glorious and rocks top of the list in our favourites. The service was very welcoming, from entering the building and up until we stepped back out, we felt well taken care of. Honestly, the overall atmosphere was perfect — gentle music, soft lights, high comfort chairs. You don't feel like the owners are playing it cheap. Very pleasant experience, will 100% visit again if around.

Visited here with friends and as always we had a lovely time with lovely food and great service. The place was busy but not over noisy which can happen in some restaurants when there is a lot of diners in close proximity. It is our go to Italian restaurant and never disappoints. Thanks everyone

Had a lovely meal Saturday night. Place had a great vibe, staff very friendly and helpful, food was delicious all four meals top notch.

Nice atmosphere. We visited Sunday around 12.30, it was steady with customers (wasn't packed/busy & wasn't empty either) so we had a choice of table; you have to wait to be seated on arrival, the chap who greeted us was pleasant & asked if we had any vegan requirements (our party did not so couldn't comment on vegan offerings). The place was clean & staff were quick to clean away other tables & wipe them down. There is a selection of alcoholic & non alcoholic drinks to choose from (also do a kids menu). I opted for 3 off the Tapas options & my other guests opted for chicken panini. Although the food was not hot, it was nice enough. There is disabled access & toilets (clean) on the ground floor. The staff were pleasant & asked if all was okay with our meal when it arrived. We were going to have the raspberry & white chocolate cake for dessert, but this was sold out, so we had churros that came with chocolate & caramel sauce which were okay but a little overpriced for what they were (but no more expensive than other places now?) I don't usually have dessert but felt I needed something sweet after my main. My other gust had carrot cake, which was nice. For me, I personally wouldn't eat here again just purely with regards to the menu that I could order the same at other places (merely down to preference). Thank you to the eatery for their hospitality & I would recommend you give it a try.

This really is THE place to eat in Oldham. I find the food to be very high-end at a low-end price. Exceptional quality throughout, I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve eaten here over the years but I can assure you that I’ve never had a single bad experience.

Had to switch things up for dinner and this was a recommendation by a good friend since the weather was decent we came in to order food and sit outside. It's done by the on-line method which I'm not too keen on as it takes time going through to the payment method rather just tap and pay... Having tried the other restaurant at the top smoke yard my initial thoughts on the burger quality and size had been tarnished somewhat but as you can see by my photos the burger has a decent size. The flavour and quality also surprised me and I made a good choice also recommended or encouraged by my friend. The only let down was the water which is bottled at £2.45 and only 330ml.o have to call it robbery. 750ml is £4.50 which means one could buy an actual 24 pack of bottled water. Think that needs revising but apart from this good experience and will return again with my own water ahaha.

Attended here with 2 friends. It has a nice indoor and outdoor seating area. As we walked in the waitress did offer a gluten free menu. Once seated we chose what we wanted and walked up to place the order, did have the option of scanning on the table. The milkshake was nice but felt like it was a lot more milk. The disappointment was how long we had to wait for the food. It was over an hour and it wasn’t the best. Didn’t enjoy that part at all. Food was really good but as mentioned, the waiting time for food needs improvement.

The review is mostly based on the food and service, because as far as atmosphere goes, we went there for breakfast on a rainy Monday morning, so not much atmosphere to speak of; but the place has good vibes. The food was delicious and the server accommodating to our requests and questions. I had the vegan breakfast with a sausage as extra, and it was all tasty. Also very impressed with the vegan selection overall, spoiled for choice, which is still a fairly rare occurrence.

Gorgeous interior, welcoming atmosphere. Great food choice with a different and refreshing breakfast menu selection. The chorizo and halloumi hash was really lovely and a way bigger portion than it looked. Also has the choice to add on extra breakfast items such as had browns

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First Visit to Toby – Great Breakfast Experience! I had breakfast at Toby this morning for the first time in my life, and overall, it was a great experience! The good: The food was served warm and tasted really good. The coffee was fantastic – definitely not the cheap kind you sometimes get at other places. The bread was soft and tender, and the unlimited English breakfast at this price is excellent value. It’s filling, satisfying, and worth it. The waitress was very kind and welcoming. As the only Asian person in the restaurant (everyone else seemed to be white), I felt completely comfortable – no discrimination at all, which I really appreciated. Lovely people and friendly staff all around. Suggestions for improvement: It would be great if they could offer some oats or cereals too – these don’t cost much and would add a nice healthy option. The background music was a little loud for me, but that might be just my personal preference. I could have moved to a quieter spot, so not a big issue. I’m definitely considering coming back for the Sunday roast – it feels like a national dish here in the UK, and I’d love to experience that too. Thank you, Toby team, for a warm and tasty breakfast! Google says the place opens at 8:00, but when we showed up at 8:02 absolutely nothing was ready and the staff stared at us like we were there to rob the place. (Especially the dark-skinned guy behind the register, pretending to be an engineer). We couldn’t even start eating until 8:20. Total joke. Wouldn’t recommend at all.

Had the carvery, very nice food. Got to the front of queue just at right time. Fresh turkey and huge Yorkshire puds. Good service too from Josh our waiter. All staff were very friendly. Recommended

Great value, good quality food at a very reasonable price. Roast potatoes were the best I have experienced at a Toby. Crisp on outside and super fluffy inside. Dined towards end of lunch service so some of the veg was a tad dry hence one star less. Great friendly and attentive service from Josh.

Attended Sunday and found it to be very busy. Carvery could not be faulted it was lovely. The wait to get to the carvery was over 40 minutes. I have a spinal disorder and find standing and walking painful. A lady asked if I could jump the queue and was told no by one of the waitresses. By the time I got back to the table my guests had finished their food. We requested the bill and was given another tables bill. Queried it and was given the correct bill. Would visit again but not Sunday as just too busy.

Went in with the family and was met with outstanding service. Tom was just fantastic with my children and very accommodating at checking offers, prices, and entertaining my children - especially my sassy 3 year old. We had a good laugh. Myself and my partner managed to have a meal without stressing for a change just knowing Tom was there helping out. Thankyou so much Tom!

Went for lunch and sat in the conservatory part which was lovely. We enjoyed a 3 course meal. The lobster and crab ravioli was delicious for my main. It was a very generous portion. The desert was amazing. It was a coffee flavoured ice cream on a chocolate biscotti with meringue and the waiter poured coffee over it with a shot of sambuca. It was scrumptious. The service was great and was very relaxing.

Back from Italy wanted an Italian meal, came here, it's just lovely. Friendly staff, good service and spotless. We loved the food. Very reasonably priced and ticks all the boxes. Style of the place is divine. Good seats, comfy, and we could have sat for ages. Keep shining in Royton. A landmark!.

Absolutely amazing, I always try to look for new places to try when up visiting family in the area . Mazzo is so worth all the hype . I would recommend booking as it's an extremely popular and busy place and for good reasons. Booking online is a simple and easy process with options for floor specificatio,for people who may have trouble with stairs, etc . Everyone we dealt with was fantastic as we had to call twice to increase the reservation and was done so professionally. It's set over two large extensive floors and tastefully decorated, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The service as with the food was outstanding from start to finish 👏. We had the cheesy garlic bread , bruschetta pomodoro, fungi caprino to start and carbonara (the best and hottest iv ever had ) tagliatelle ragu di cinghiale which was wild boar as well as pizza and tuffle fries 🍟 😋. Desserts for those who could manage were classic tiramisu and cheesecake of the day . Now, the pinot blush was something else 😍 and in lush crisp glass, which is a mush for me . Now price wise, I couldn't believe the value standard Italian's price but outstanding food , wine, and service . Service charge was included on the bill and was made very clear to us when paying as we were trying to tip . I would happily drive the 3.5 hours to dine here again . Honestly, I can't find a fault it's been a while since iv left somewhere that had great food and great service in a wonderful setting. Fantastic work, guys. I hope to be back up again soon .

Our first time at Mazzo and we will 100% be returning. The venue, atmosphere, drinks and waiting staff were all fantastic. The food was very fresh and recommended by the staff. Can’t wait for our next trip!

Very very good Italien restaurant. The food was superb and worth the wait. The service was good and always near when you needed them. One star is deducted - and this has been posten before - because it can be very loud. But worth the visit.

We visited Amaani on a Saturday evening without a booking they were more than happy to accommodate us. The staff are friendly and I asked the waiter what he recommended and OMG it was absolutely the best curry I have ever tried. It was a specialty curry and the chicken had been pasted through flour and the fried and added to the curry 😍 Highly recommend and I will be visiting again soon 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We booked as a party of 15 for Alfies 11th birthday. Nice area to sit in for pre drinks. The staff even brought my prosecco over for me as I bought it at the bar, then it was poured for me. Now that's service! I can't fault the service, it was 10/10! Me & my husband shared a biriyani & chips as the portions are big enough to share. The atmosphere was good, not too noisy, so we could hear ourselves speak. Service was 10/10, very attentive & staff look after their customers! If you're thinking of coming here, then do it. You won't be dissapointed!

Went for a curry for 4 of us last Friday night and I've got to say it's the best Indian Restaurant I've ever been to. We went for our Christmas party meal last year. 35 of us and everyone's order was spot on and everyone said how good the food was. We are looking forward to going back very soon. ❤️

The reason I'm giving it this rating is not because of the service the food wasn't good everything was perfect except the music was so loud couldn't hear the person I was sitting next to I thought it was on those night clubs from back in the day shame!, the word Ambience maybe management needs to research that.

Ordered food from here today. I had such high expectations from this place. Honestly so dissatisfied. 1. Lamb tikka biryani : I think this was like their take on a lamb tikka biryani cause it didn’t taste like an authentic tikka biryani. This may just be personal opinion. 2. Chappati : Absolutely dry and chewy, food arrived hot so you’d expect the chappati to not get so rubbery. 3. Garlic Naan : same thing as the chappati . One of the worst naans I’ve had in my life. 4. Gobhi aalo : by far the simplest thing to make, preparation was good but there was no cauliflower couple of strands. I had to check if I hadn’t ordered just aalo sabzi lol. 5. Raita : it was sour. Nothing else to say. I’ve added pictures on Uber eats sadly didn’t take many on my phone. The foods looks good anyway it’s the taste that doesn’t make up for it. I have to say with a reputation like this I have never been so disappointed.

The food was disappointing. I ordered lamb, but they served me chicken instead. The cheesecake was still frozen in the middle, yet they thought it was acceptable to serve. To top it off, the waiter could have passed the naan bread from the left of the table but instead stretched over my shoulder, dropping it onto my food. After such a bad experience, I felt completely ripped off when paying the bill. I definitely won’t be coming back.

Wrigley Claydon Solicitors had the pleasure of attending Indish Restaurant for a business meeting followed by a meal. We were most impressed by the warm welcome extended to us by Mr. Afsor and all members of staff. The atmosphere was exceptional, and the food was of the highest standard — both beautifully presented and delicious. We would highly recommend Indish for both private dining and corporate events. We went to the Indish for a family birthday meal. My food was served cold after a long wait. I do like like my food cold at all, but I did not complain due not wanting to upset family members. Would not go again after a very disappointing meal and poor service from start to finish. First and last time, I am afraid.

This place is entirely run down The outside alone should make you run for the hill. It's rat infested. I recently visited The Old Original for a lovely Sunday meal, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the experience. My partner opted for the Sunday roast, and the roast beef was cooked to perfection — tender and full of flavor, without being pink. I went for the rag pudding with chips and mushy peas, and I must say, the peas were absolutely delicious! (as was the homemade chips and rag pudding).The gravy had a rich, meaty flavor that really enhanced the meal, not bland like some places can be. Plus, the portion sizes were generous, and everything was piping hot when served. The service was excellent, with friendly and efficient staff making sure we had everything we needed. I chose from the fixed menu, and ended the meal with a lovely slice of chocolate fudge cake for dessert, which was a real treat! The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. The pub has a warm, inviting atmosphere, complete with a candle on the table, and the rural setting with its lovely views makes it a perfect place to unwind. While the car park is a little on the small side, street parking is available, so it’s not too much of an issue. All in all, I would highly recommend this pub. The food, service, and overall experience were top-notch, and I can’t wait to return soon!

Tomato and roast pepper soup 10/10 Pea and ham soup 10/10 Gammon eggs chips 10/10 Steak and cheese pie 10/10 Massive let down was the mashed potato 🥔 really bland mash not buttery or creamy. We are looking forward to visiting again for the cheese and onion pie I just really hope the mashed potato is improved. The homemade soups were absolutely gorgeous the food was served piping hot, staff were lovely the service was fast even when super busy. It only works out £20-30 per person which is fantastic!

This is a lovely restaurant/pub who are committed to good food at affordable prices.The staff are young,attentive and knowledgeable and give excellent service. My only issue is with the chips which arrived in a bowl and resembled mahogany wood pieces. I enquired whether they should be in this condition and I was told that was the way they cook chips. To me they tasted burnt and overcooked. Upon further request for the reason they are so dark I was told that they are that way as they are Albert rooster red potatoes .A quick check on YouTube suggested this was not the case. Our meal was good , the steaks perfect,just let down by inedible chips.

This was my second visit to your establishment, my first being 13 years ago with my late father-in-law. That visit left a lasting impression: the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, this return visit fell far short of those standards. We were greeted kindly by a staff member, but from there the experience quickly declined. The dining area felt outdated and neglected, the carpet was worn and sticky, the tables and chairs were tired, and the chairs in particular were extremely uncomfortable, offering no support and difficult to move on the carpet. My mother-in-law, though gracious, was clearly uncomfortable throughout. Drinks arrived promptly, but the positive start was overshadowed by the poor quality that followed. The “free starter” with each steak sounded appealing, but the battered mushrooms were so over-coated in thick greasy batter they were heavy, sickly and unappetizing. My daughter ordered the “Old Original Burger,” while the rest of us ordered steaks. For mains priced at £25–£35, we were shocked to see them served with nothing but potato wedges, no vegetables, no garnish, and in my case, the peppercorn sauce was also forgotten. When I requested vegetables, the server seemed confused and reluctant to provide them, although she did. Adding to this, the vinegar bottle contained fruit flies, and service was inattentive. Empty glasses were ignored until we had to ask for attention. The food itself was disappointing: my daughter’s burger was so greasy she couldn’t finish it, my wife’s steak was nearly half gristle and fat, and my mother-in-law was too polite to complain, but it was clear she felt let down compared to her many previous visits with her husband. What should have been a special family meal was marred by careless service, poor presentation, and low-quality food. At the prices charged, this is unacceptable. I raised my concerns directly with the manager, but the response was dismissive. Later, when I went to settle the £125 bill, the staff member asked if everything was okay. I answered honestly that it was not, as I had already complained, but instead of any apology or acknowledgment, she simply processed the payment without further comment. This experience reflected a clear lack of care from the team, leaving us deeply disappointed and to never return.

The famous lamb Henry was great but just too big for me. Couldn't have had a starter or a pud. The fillet steal served rare was amazing, just like butter. Loads of Cauliflower Cheese. Can't wait to go back

Well established now ! Amazing food , amazing customer service ! So many flavours in the food and cooked to perfection! Seating is cool all on one floor , car parking at the front ! Great for parties , weddings you name it they can do it ! Been here twice & yep I will go again & again ! Give it a try !

What a great place to go and eat a curry. Six of us went (we had booked) and it was our first time. All I can say is wow - amazing staff, food and atmosphere. We were not sure what to expect as non of us had been before ( I live in Scotland so very far from home). Choice of drinks both alcoholic and nonalcoholic were great. Food was outstanding and staff were so attentive we didn’t ever need to find anybody, yet you were not pressured either. I will most definitely go again when I’m in the area again. Such a delight.

Great meal, went early but it was still busy (after a while -see photo). Had the Chicken Afghani with a nan (as advised on menu) which was great, everyone else in group enjoyed their meals too. Service was very good no waiting too long between courses. Highly recommended. Note: prices have increased a couple of pounds per meal from on-line menu.

One of our favourite place, have been a regular customers for years now. We love the food here. Always a lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and the place is very clean. I alway notice how the bathroom are well maintained. We will continue coning to this place 10/10 a shout-out to Ekhy for always looking after us. X

My partner & I visited for the first time on Saturday night (9pm). We rang to reserve a few hours before & we’re told it wasn’t necessary. When we arrived, the venue was 3/4 empty. There’s a large function room to the right as you walk in, which was blasting party tunes. You could hear this in the restaurant & as a result, the Asian background music was louder than usual, so conversation was tricky. (1* off the atmosphere for this). Once seated, we were impressed at how clean the restaurant was. There are glass chandeliers and even they were gleaming. The restaurant menu is packed with options & the friendly waiter was happy to make recommendations. He said they’d happily make something not on the menu if requested too. (Within reason). In the end, my partner opted for the Chicken Tikka Chilli Fry to start, a chicken bhuna & a plain naan. I chose onion bhaji, a veggie rogan Josh & a garlic naan. We shared boiled rice & chips. The food was delicious & all tasted freshly made. Aside from a small-ish sized portion of chips, all of the portions were generous. We had a strawberry & lime Kopperberg each & a jug of water. The total cost was £56. We will definitely be back.

Lets start off with our lovely waiter ekhy well presentable lovely smile very polite very attentive and knows his dishes well, Absolutely loved every single one of our dishes my extra spicy curry shathkhora lamb from the traditional menu was just cooked to perfection, thankyou for the recommendation ekhy, the tarka dhaal was just so moreish like it was home cooked by my nan right amount of garlic fragrance of Coriander just fab nothing was a miss at all, the dishes they served our food in were lovely keep it up guys we absolutely loved it can't wait to dine in again couldn't fault it AT ALL. Big thankyou to the manager jk for going out of his way to make feel as comfortable as I could be with 2cruthches 😊 thankyou very much appreciated very much.

Great service and good choice of food. The wines are very reasonable and taste great. The bar downstairs allows you to retire for a digestive whilst freeing up the table. Organised a do for 20 people. All served within good timescales and just what we ordered. Coped with a couple of last minute changes. Great gin and tonic too. (In the big bowl glass!) Owners get involved and make it special. Will be going back.

This is the first time I've been here in years, booked a table for my mum's birthday. The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff are very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. One small drawback is the lack of baby changing facilities as we had a toddler with us, but the staff were quick to offer an alternative solution. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced, would definitely come back here again in the not too distant future.

We were first timers here and it was brilliant from start to finish. Very busy Saturday evening, lots of families having dinner together. I had the Plaice and crab off the specials menu and my husband had steak and kidney suet pudding. Both meals were perfect, generous portions with best vegetable sides I think I’ve had in a very long time. I will definitely come back with the rest of my family.

The Robuck Inn Sunday Lunch menu.Table for 4 in the bar area near a welcoming open fire. We opted for the 3 courses for £25 each..Mushroom and blackpudding starters were tasty, Cheese and onion pie main was good, the roast lamb wasn't the best, but the vegetables were nice. Desserts choc brownie Sunday, Strawberry cheesecake and syrup sponge all went down well. Staff all lovely and attentive atmosphere good.

Had a lovely meal, great selection on the menu to choose from and not a bad choice between the four of us. Great views from the rear. Great friendly service other than one waitress who was a little abrupt. Would not hesitate to rebook, especially for the afternoon tea.

Very nice little pub, was sat down straight away, would Recommend booking though on a Sunday, although we're sat down quick and quickly with drinks, but was slow to order food. Cheese and onion pie was nice but bottom crust was hard. The roast dinner was very nice. Although the roast potatoes are homemade you can tell that they've been frozen.

After quite a few years revisit was well overdue. Place was packed could only get a table in bar area and that’s at 530pm ! Soup was a delight piping hot Potatoe and leek with a gf roll . Mains I had the lamb shoulder with mash parsnips veg and red currant jus. Lady had salmon creamed leaks with veg . Excellent Kaiken Merlot with a port and brandy followed by cheese board . An excellent few hours , great food excellent service and a roaring open fire 🔥 perfect evening . Will be back Update 11/09/24 Food still very good cannot fault it but service gone down a bit … owner as always a perfect gentleman but young waitresses not very attentive and hopefully this point gets to the owner second time now meal disturbed by young children running about obviously linked to staff with one female with a loud voice shouting after them . People don’t want to see that when paying to eat a meal in peace . On the positive food still great but noise in bar with small kids and poor service spoilt the experience.

Had a lovely meal at The Three Crowns, Clare was welcoming and attentive, I asked for a vegetarian lasagne which was no longer on the menu but she was more than happy to accommodate my request. The food was homemade and we couldn’t fault a thing. Lovely little pub, was a shame it wasn’t as busy as you’d expect with the quality of food and service. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be back. Couldn’t fault the prices either!

I did go at after lpm for lunch but there was no lasagne available. I had the chicken pasta dish which was nice but the portion size was too big, I could only manage two thirds and I never usually leave anything! It was very quiet on the day I went, a Saturday.

Amazing experience! The pub/restaurant has been taken over by new management and new chefs. With a new menu and more drinks selections. The staff were lovely. Also the beer garden is perfect to sit in the sun to relax with a climbing frame for the little ones. I will definitely be visiting again. X

Came today for Sunday dinner and it was delicious! The Yorkshire puddings were the best we’ve ever had! We also had the Italian garlic bread to start which was lovely and an Oreo ice cream sundae to finish. Very reasonably priced, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. A great pub, will definitely visit again.

Went for lunch, had jacket potatoes, they had no salad garnish! But didn't tell us until they brought the food out. Smallest jacket potatoes I have ever seen! They gave us two because they where so small...there was hardly any filling on them, and food was cold, absolutely apauled as they always have good reviews. I would never go again! Absolutely 👎 I did complain and got a refund, which I appreciate just unhappy with the food.

From what I’ve experienced, there have been some noticeable improvements compared to my last visit, which is promising! While I did find that the portion sizes seemed to remain consistent, the overall quality of the food this time was quite delightful. We decided to go for a share platter, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice, allowing us to enjoy a little bit of everything together. I really encourage them to keep up the progress they've made in enhancing their offerings because if they continue on this path of improvement, I’m confident they will attract even more customers in the future."

I was told about this place by a few people so my expectations were already high. Wow just wow… it exceeded my expectations and more. Firstly the service was first class. The steaks were just amazing, perfectly cooked and tender and the flavour was bang on. Even the sides and the desert was 10/10. Highly recommend to anyone. What a gem.

Really welcoming and attentive staff. Food was great. We had a steak medium rare, perfectly pink in the middle with a good charred crust and a mildly spiced chicken burger. Sriracha wings, lovely, meat came away easily from the bones with ease. Will go again.

I came back to this lovely eatery after many years... Thank goodness it hasn't changed! The food was incredible, the service was attentive and the experience was definitely worth it! Even the chef was checking all that came from the kitchen was okay, top notch service. I always get a selection of things and I've not been disappointed yet - from the drinks to starters to mains.., personal favourite has to be the lamb cutlets for the starters... We thought we would give this a try as seen quite a few good reviews. Well, we walked in wasn't even greeted at the door or shown a table to sit at, the atmosphere was very down and depressing. Then the waiter came over wasn't friendly at all, crossed his arms in an intimidating manor and spoke to us quite rude. Then to clearly hear the staff talking about me and my partner after we asked to cancel our food order as we felt very uncomfortable. I'm not one to usually leave a place once I've sat down and ready to eat, but on this occasion unfortunately was the case. Very disappointed

Hidden in a side street is this excellent small family owned restaurant. Sebastian the Italian owner was extremely friendly and hospitable. The food was genuinely the best Italian we had had for a long time (in fact some members of our party even said it surpassed the food they had in Italy). The prices were fair and service was excellent. If you’re in the area it’s absolutely worth grabbing lunch or dinner here, we will definitely be returning when we’re next in Manchester.

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and it’s consistently good. There’s nothing flash, just authentic Italian food, made with fresh ingredients, cooked well and at sensible prices. You can have a three course meal here for the price of a main in Manchester. The specials board always has something interesting (frogs legs on occasion!!) but the steaks are my favourite. I usually have the Rossini (see photo) with ‘special peas’ as I’m too fussy to eat the veg that comes with it. Pizzas and pasta great too. Save room for Seb’s tiramisu!

Came and had food this early evening...had the restaurant to ourselves...the food was outstanding... absolutely true Italian food...every mouthful a pleasure and the host was attentive and friendly...loved it....55 years I've been an oldhamer and I've only just discovered this gem....I won't be a stranger..

I arrived and was treated lovely and asked for a glass of red wine and what pasta dish the chef recommended...I was sent penne pasta in a bland sauce with 3 olives...Very disappointing...I explained that I did not enjoy it and asked for a Spaghetti Carbonara...When it arrived it was penne pasta again, and I was told there was no spaghetti or tagliatelle left?!?!?!...It was 19:00pm...The service dropped off the face of a hill...very disappointed...was expecting much more

The food was awesome. The place was super inviting and comfy. There were so many dishes; it was hard to pick! The flavors were on point, showing off the chef's skills. This is our Fifth time in here. Never failed. We had the Brunch menu, my Lily had crêpe and she said it is tastes like pancakes which she likes very much. And my Ami had a nice chicken burger. We sat in one of the pods in the evening it was very nice and private and warm (there are heaters in the pod and it even got a bit too warm in there for me at one point) The service was good you can tell they try and go out of their way to give good service. The food was average in my opinion, it wasn’t the best Indian I’ve ever had but I still enjoyed it. If you have a special occasion I would say it worth taking a trip down and renting a pod. I would rate this place a 7/10.

What a nasty place, a few years ago the chicken was raw, a few monts ago i found a hair in the wrap but now these donuts had mould on them, disgusting. Arguably one of the best Donner Wraps that I've had in a long, long time. The mests are very flavoursome and they're not dry like some other places. The prices are reasonable and it's definitely worth the money. Chips taste nice too and you get a good selection of 3 sauces which is a nice added extra. Didn't have to wait a long time to get my food either. I'd buy my Donner from here any day rather than the cheaper takeaways nearby. The salad and sauce that comes on the Wrap is also very tasty! Always updating their menu too which is good to see.

I’ve been coming to this place since it opened (20+ years ago when I was a kid!) so I do have a perhaps a slight bias. However, the curries we had this week were up there with the best ones I’ve ever had. We had the chicken tikka chili masala (highly highly recommend!), garlic chili fish, lamb jalfrezi, Westwood East Special, and another which I forget, and each one was simply fantastic. Perfect sauce/gravy consistencies, super tender lamb, chicken/fish were also great. My only regret is that we couldn’t finish it all! Service was great as always, cheers guys! Will be back on my next visit from Berlin for sure!

Anyone who would like a top Indian food experience I recommend you come here. The main staff members who stood out to me were Mr Jamal Uddin and Mr Ridwan who both helped me out during my experience here. Just visited this place today, even though we live local not really tried it, probably last time I had this was 20 odd years ago, then had my cinifan here 4 yrs ago but not with their menu food. But after actually trying out their food I have to leave a review. I was telling my wife the same thing, like why have we never visited this place, food is amazing here. Staff are great, service is great. Price is reasonable as well. We used the taste card 2 for 1, went last minute so we were the only people left and didn't realise they closed whilst we were still there. We were really stuffed with the amazing food here, food taste so good compared to other places we've had. We will definitely be coming back. Highly Recommend. 5*

I always find the food tasty and fresh no matter what I order., beware they are big portions so bring your appetite or enjoy like I do, my doggy bag for work the next day. Lees Spice Lounge is by far the best Indian restaurant in Oldham. Been there well over 100 times and never had a bad experience. Staff are always friendly and attentive. The food is so good. It’s a pleasure to work your way through the menu trying all the different curries. My current favourite (and the one in the photo) is Naga Jal-Fry - with a keema naan bread. Be sure to phone ahead for a table at weekend, because it’s not surprising that they get very busy.

We dine at this restaurant frequently. Also have a family meal here every Christmas eve. No complaints about service or food but was very disappointed today to find we were charged £14.25 for 3 soft drinks. When we questioned the bill we were told a pint of coke and a pint of lime and soda are £4.75 each. A pint of beer is only £5.50. This is extortionate. My daughter works in 2 pubs. They charge £1 or £1.50 for the lime and soda and £3 for a pint of coke. I didnt leave a tip and in future i will be drinking either alcohol or tap water. Forget dry January! I feel robbed.

Food was amazing. Best chippy in town and will always come back here. Parking and paid parking are available nearby. Close to bus stop and tram stop. Heart of town centre and lovely when you want a quick chippy. Prices are decent and fresh chips as well. I highly recommend who wants a chippy in town centre.

This place really has changed my mind about British food. The fish and chips is made perfectly. Fat nice chips and fish with a tasteful batter and cooked in clean oil. The service is quick and I absolutely love their style. It is run by a family who are almost always busy when I am there. The owners have trained the staff as best as possible. The price has gone quite high now but I dont blame them as the government ain't supporting these local businesses who are fighting to the their last ounce of might just to survive. Would absolutely recommend if you are in the town centre for a quick bite or even a heavy meal.

Cost £10 for quarter of duck that consisted of nothing more than a duck breast! The salt and pepper ribs had less meat than a butchers knife, tasteless and dry and then the fried rice well that clearly hadn’t touched a frying pan! And lastly the CRISPY shredded beef in ok sauce wow! Chunks of slimy pieces of batter couldn’t say if there was any beef in there because personally didn’t taste like it and there wasn’t a crisp taste in sight First time going and most definitely the last very disappointing thad the worse £25.50 I’ve ever spent in my life

It's a great family run chippy, portions are big, cheap prices compared to others in the area. This has quickly become my favourite chippy in Oldham, I am willing to walk out of my way to pick it up (for me that's a huge thing, I don't walk anywhere if I don't have to). That's how much I love this place. Not usually a huge wait for your order, food always hot (a 30 minute walk home and it's still hot). I would highly recommend this chippy.

The Old Plough Chippy is among the most highly rated chippies in Oldham, and it is easy to see why. Located on a corner with free private parking at the rear, it offers convenience alongside its culinary delights. The staff are warm, friendly, and very polite. The in-house cheese and onion pie slice brought back fond memories of my youth, featuring plenty of real cheese, a light pastry, and nice pieces of onion. It was delicious! The Irish curry sauce was also tasty, as was the rag pudding and cheese and mayo chips. The haddock was just okay, and the batter was on the greasy side and somewhat thick. It was a nice lunch after a long drive, and the cheerful staff made for a happy customer. Had quite a few items on the menu, the sweet boneless jerk is tasty with a little spice. Enough to taste but not overpowering and making you grab a drink after every bite. Dumplings are fresh and airy with a slight sweetness to them that goes well with the jerk chicken. Always ordered through Uber eats and the food comes fresh and hot.

Been ordering for years, stopped for a bit due to finances and pandemic, started to order again. Anyway, had a problem with the food once years back but that was sorted out. Other problems years ago were the previous delivery drivers who would not get out of the car and bring the food to the door, that was sorted after I told them. Different drivers now, but I collect orders, food good, friendly place, will talk to you abit if they are not that busy making food.

i am very upset with this company as they had me waiting for food over 85 mins then when i called them where they said i would have to wait a further 30 mins to 1 hour. I cancelled via just eat and an hour later received a call from the company saying that if i cancel in the future make sure i communicate via the restaurant. This is ironic considering they did not give my order a thought when they were exceedingly late. I was so hungry i just cooked food at home which is a shame as i had guests to entertain.

Came in last week at mid day during a lunch rush and ordered some bread and a steak pie. The bread I was given was ok but the pie I received seemed like it had been reheated several times and was falling apart. After checking Facebook, food is claimed to be made fresh everyday however, this was mediocre at best. On a positive note although the line was long, staff were really friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I will not be returning.

Normally, I would have taken pics of the food and uploaded on here, but I totally forgot and was too hungry to remember 😅. The food was good and the person who served me (Abbas) was a very nice guy. Would recommend anyone who hasn't eaten from there to give this place a go.

First time tried this place it was fantastic I had a mix kebab on Nan I sat in to eat. It smells lovely inside from the aromatic spices. Prices are decent good service a hidden gem. Definitely will come back

We went here for dinner and both had the cheese and onion pie with chips and beans. It was lovely homemade pie. The food is nice and fresh and the staff are very polite and helpful. We got some cakes for after, they were amazing very fresh, very tasty and very big pieces for the money. We will definitely be returning. They also have a kindness board which is a fantastic idea for people who are struggling.

I've been going here regularly since December 2021 and I can't believe I haven't left a review. It's amazing !!!! It does exactly what it says on the tin. It ISN'T a greasy spoon. It's a clean, freshly cooked, good wholesome grub. The real stars of the show are the ladies and gent who serve and cook. The welcome and the chat you get is genuine. They look after their customers and contribute to the community. You very quickly feel part of the Clean Plate family. I stumbled on it almost by accident as it's not in a prominent position. As you turn left into the Spindles car park it's on your immediate right but you are looking left as you drive so it's easy to miss. DO NOT MISS IT AGAIN !!!!!! Go in. You will not be disappointed. Love it xx

Clean plate is its name for the fact you will finish every last bite. Not because it's healthy! Food is ok priced and you get lots for your money. Staff are friendly and seem like they are having fun in the kitchen! Which is really nice to see. Would recommend a visit.

So I regularly go here for breakfast on my work route, always order the same thing, and never had any problems before, Good food, nice friendly staff, quick service, However on my last visit I ordered the same as I always do, and got food wrong 2 times... First time had beans allover everything even tho told them no beans.. (as I'm allergic) Second time beans again, and tomatoes even tho i asked to swap tomatoes for hashbrown.. Apart from these issues I would still recommend 👌

Poor customer support have completely non sense don't know how to deal customers, they took the order ( wrong) and blamed me that you ordered exactly this one. I requested to replace it but didn't replace. I won't recommend people with poor knowledge to deal with customers

Really disappointed. I’ve been a regular customer for nearly a year and a half, and it used to be amazing — both the curries and the service. Sadly, over the past couple of months, it’s really gone downhill. The curries don’t taste the same anymore, and the service has been poor. Recently, I scheduled an order for a set time, but it arrived over an hour early. The curry was much spicier than it should have been. When I rang to give feedback, I explained that just the other week my order had been over an hour and a half late and that the curries haven’t been the same. They didn’t seem interested. Tonight was no better — they weren’t concerned that the food arrived far too early or that the curry wasn’t right again. It’s such a shame, but after being loyal customers for so long, I think we’ll be changing our takeaway choice - also a suggestion for them I’ve noticed as regulars you never get anything so for example if we order 3 poppodoms you get the exact amount which is fine they are a business but normally you find when you become a regular customer you get an extra popodom or even onion bajhis this never happens

We ordered for first time here, we got the munch box & to be quite honest it was really really delicious 10/10. The portion size was very decent. Everything tasted fresh we will definitely be recommending this restaurant to our friends & family. Prices are fair as the portion size cover it:D we also got the onion bhajis with mango sauce 10/10.

Absolutely Smashed our Christmas dinner, £145 worth of starters, curries, rice, naans and chips all delivered on time and piping hot. The food was all delicious and they even threw in some drinks and extra popadoms. Thanks Guys, you never let us down.

We have been using Cinnamon Tree for a number of years, the food is fresh, hot when delivered, very tasty and will continue to order, tried various other establishments but always go back, never had to complain about the food or delivery, use Cinnamon Trees delivery service, can not comment about other deliveries.

Ordered on Eid, tasteless, textureless curries, had to kinda recook them. Ordered lamb nawabi and a chicken curry, and both of them washed and blanched. Keema rice was reasonable, service and packaging was okay too. However I was very disappointed by the taste

One of the best desserts place in oldham. Never been disappointed with their food. Milkcake is tasty & fresh , so is their waffles and cookie dough. Even though they are a dessert place their paninis are also very nice, warm and lovely. Would recommend this place out of everywhere in Oldham

Amazing food and experience! I must say, it's actually one of the best places to go for a chill and enjoy desserts in Oldham. Desi chai is top as it's freshly made to order. Friendly staff and very considerate. I went in with my little one and they helped me to warm my food up and his milk bottle with care 🥰. Thankyou once again! Also, parking is very easy 👌

I love the pot of mint tea, it's very refreshing and relaxing. My children love the cookie dough and waffles. I have also tried their milkshakes. All the above are very delicious and made fresh. I would highly recommend to everyone.

Really nice atmosphere in this pub and guy on the bar serving us was really friendly and welcoming. Myself and my friends spent pretty much all the time in the smoking area out the back playing darts. Recommend this place if you’re looking for a chill pub with good atmosphere

Lovely public house with a great beer garden and an outside function room. Smallish car park with room for maybe 12 cars. Been living in the local neighbourhood for almost 13 years and never knew this existed. Well done for turning a small local pub into a great venue for small parties. Will be visiting again.

We booked the Daisyfield for a Confirmation party. They offered a cold buffet and a choice of hot pies. We choose a mixture of both and were very impressed with the high quality, portion sizes and value for money. The children had an absolute ball playing in garden to the rear. There were chickens and rabbits for them to see plus some play equipment. As it was Easter Sunday there was also a DJ and Easter egg hunt. All in all we were made to feel very welcome and great atmosphere. Good time was had by all. Thank you.

Fantastic beer garden. Mick and Pat make you very welcome. They are now building trade up again after the Covid lockdown. The previous owners threatened to sell the garden to build flats. Fortunately, the pub has been listed as an ACV (Asset of Community Value) and for the next 5 years it can only be sold for continued use as a pub. Nice one!

Myself, my partner, and my mum went for food at The Kings Arms, and it was by far the worst dining experience we’ve ever had. When we first sat down, we were told there would be a bit of a wait, which was fair enough and I appreciated the honesty. I ordered braised steak, my partner ordered steak with prawns, and my mum ordered fish and chips. However, after our order was taken, three other couples (a total of 9 people) came in after us and were all served before us. When food eventually came out, the servers brought six braised steaks to our table, which clearly wasn’t our order. I had already started cutting into one before we realised. They then took it away, and we had to wait another 15 minutes — by this point we had been waiting an hour and a half with still no food. When our meals finally arrived, the braised steak with vegetables and onion gravy was watery and tasteless. The prawns added to my partner’s steak were undercooked and mushy. I asked for mine to be remade, and the server admitted we had been waiting ages, but her excuse was that “one of you ordered a steak.” A steak takes 10 minutes to cook — hardly an excuse for that level of delay. I then sat waiting for the remake that never arrived. Another server came over later asking how everything was, and when I said I was still waiting, she told me she was under the impression I had cancelled the order. Even if I had, why wasn’t I offered something else? Completely unacceptable. We asked for the bill, and although the prawns were removed, the whole experience ended on an even worse note — the woman who took our payment was unbelievably rude, dismissive, and didn’t even bother with an apology. Shocking service, poorly cooked food, and downright rude staff. I wouldn’t recommend The Kings Arms to anyone.

A small group of us ate at the Kings Arms last week for a lovely catch-up meal. I'd read many of the reviews, so I was excited to visit myself, and it did not disappoint. The food we had was presented very well and the service was wonderful. We very much enjoyed our visit and would not hesitate to return if ever in the area.

I visited this place mid-week to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We didn't pre-book and were seated straight away, which was great. Even though there were only two members of staff, they went to the effort of putting a candle in my daughter's dessert and sang happy birthday to her, which was a lovely touch. However, the staff seemed a bit slow taking orders, likely because they were short-staffed. The food was nice, but nothing special, and the cocktails were mostly ice. I ordered from the midweek special menu but still got charged full price, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the 90s pop music playing suited both me and my girls. My partner did mention feeling a draft coming in through a boarded window, though. Overall, it was an okay experience but could use some improvements.

Just eaten there for the first time with friends from London. The waiter was super, the food was faultless and so fresh, and my sister in law could not believe the prices! We will be back for sure

I've been coming here for years. The service and food has always been great, however tonight the service is absolutely shocking. We've been here an hour and half and only had our starters. The waitress is really stressed, due to pressure from customers. I suspect she's new. Not good for a Thursday going into the weekend. Might be time to go somewhere else for a bit. Normally get a lot more sauce. Just an eyeful tonight.

Really lovely place for a family meal. I was here for a relatives surprise 80th Birthday party & we had around 100 guests attending & these guys were excellent in making our day a special occasion. We used to upstairs room which was perfect for what we needed & it's own bar the service was great & the food was lovely. The drinks are quite pricey so doesn't get 5 stars for that reason. But the building is lovely & quite unique & there's now a new outdoor beer garden which is great on a hot day.

As someone who has eaten here often with family members and have always enjoyed the food tonight was a major disappointment. It started after we had begun drinking our drinks to be told no pizza for my grandson, the bread that comes with the meals wasn't toasted it was just hard where it had been in the toasted. The chips and onion rings looked nice they were slung on the plate. Come time to pay it was noticed the charge for the pizza was still on the bill and was only taken off when it was pointed out. It's a shame as I have always told friends what lovely food you serve, looks like you have lost some customers.

Only had a pint of cider and it was the worse pint of strongbow I have ever had!! I got brought up with my dad running pubs and he always said u should never get a bad pint of cider. But as soon as me and my friend had a pint each and felt sick straight away Would not recommend a pint in here again However the staff what served me was so polite and welcoming

First visit and what can I say other than 'why haven't I been before!' Great selection on the menu, good prices. Service ok as drinks were close to what we ordered i.e white wine and lemonade.....got white wine and soda, but other than that nothing to complain about. Food was cooked perfectly and very tasty 👍🏻

A great family friendly diner! Really impressed with the food here! We ordered a variety of foods. From steak, to chicken platters. The chips are buttery. The steak is good and the peppercorn sauce elevates the flavour! The chicken platter, lime and herb was delicious! The macaroni was light, could do with some grilled cheese on top but definitely one for kids who eat beige foods only. Easy to access with parking on the side of the building. Large portions, I’d highly recommend!!

Quite disappointed luckys has become very stingy, this is the supposed sirloin steak meant for an adult for £18. They gave a small portion with a flat dolop of mash! Childrens portion but charging 18£. All the other food came with a small handful of chips. Come on lucky charging £10 for a basic burger meal but being stingy with ready made chips. Get a grip of yourself.

The coffee is at Costa standard but the service is horrible. We walked in and there were people already waiting. The two servers were too busy cleaning up / packing up, whilst there was still over 40 mins left before closure. We waited 10 mins before one asked if we were waiting to be served, which I felt was a daft question because why else would we be there. They assumed we knew where the line is supposed be but it was the first time we went there. The drinks came out in good time and was ok. Very poor service and cannot be compared to Starbucks. I use to prefer Costa but I won't be using this one again. Training in customer service is needed here.

Ordered extra hot drinks and when we got the drinks. It's Easter Sunday and it's completely dead and Kade (Manager) said that it was busy so he called us to collect the drinks. The drinks were cold, when we asked for them to be warmed up Kade refused. Abseloutely shocking customer service. We then requested a refund and he still refused. Shocking Service.

The coffee was fine but the staff looked like they would rather have been elsewhere and didn’t strike me as particularly friendly. Not the best Costa I have been to.

Staff are always lovely. Much quieter upstairs. Obviously slightly pricy being costa. But I like that I can get any kind of drink as decaf not always so many choices in decaf from most Caffès

Tried the Juicy Lois with double patties, a proper classic, done right. Great balance of flavour and everything was cooked just right. Also had the Crispy Clark chicken burger with the Korean sauce. Really well cooked, with a great flavour from the sauce that wasn’t overly sweet. Quality burgers all round and definitely worth a visit.

Hidden gem. It was our first time trying this place and it didn’t disappoint. All the food was amazing, but the standout dish was the smash burger! And even the fries were insane. We also tried the ranch and burger dips as they are made in house and they went really well with the chicken tenders 5⭐️

Loved the food and portions are big! Tried their Korean wings, loaded fries and a delicious beef burger, would definitely recommend. Most impressive thing is that they grind and smash the fresh meat in-house! 😍 Food is perfect for a drive through!

Super Smash makes amazing burgers! We tried the Pachos Smash Up, Juicy Lois, and the Original Crispy Chicken Burger. The Pachos Smash Up was our favourite, crispy chicken and juicy beef in one burger! Everything here is fresh because they grind their own meat and mix it themselves. You can really taste the difference. We’ll definitely be back!

Enjoyed my meal at Saffron in Royton, restaurant is modern and very clean with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Had the chicken chat starter which was great and Gorkali chicken main with a nan which wasn't as hot as it was described on the menu. Meal was £35 each, not quite sure how it got to that although the cocktails some had won't have helped...

Actually surprised to see such a restaurant in Oldham. The starter was a king prawn Puri which was absolutely power, lots of flavour and the bread it came on was done very very well. I choose for my main the Gorkali chicken asked for it less spicy which the waiter was happy to do for me. This curry reminds me slightly of a Khariah but even strong flavour and thick sauce which tasted amazing with the nan bread however the nan bread was supposed to be garlic and it didn't taste to strong for me. I think the price of the nan bread is actually quite steep £3.50 as I would normally have two with my meal but then that would be the cost of another starter and almost a main meal! Staff were all very professional and polite as a first time foodie in this restaurant can happily say it will be the regular.

The food was delicious. I had the Tandoori Chicken, which was amazing, and enormous. The service is very good too. I would definitely recommend.

At last an authentic Indian Bangladeshi , Pakistani restaurant that serves authentic food that are not micro meals . Proper servings not tiny tin trays . Very newly opened, great staff and proper food. Check out the pics does your regular Indians food look this good ? Revisited 18/11/23 on a very busy Saturday night . Absolutely stand by this review and it is in no way written to cause issue to the restaurant just to give you heads up that things have slid quite a bit from our first visit . You refer to costs of items I claimed are wrong I may have got exact cost slightly wrong but shredded cucumber with a blob of yoghurt on top is not riata as for “ Asian salad” chopped tomatoes shredded cucumber and diced onion is not that . I absolutely refute the timings I had to ask a number of times about the food and it was an hour before we got served ! I noticed you observed I only had water ? Is this not normal for eating a curry ? In no way have I anything against you or your restaurant BUT. When things are wrong like sitting us against the toilets when other tables available and not one person said Thankyou or goodbye as we left again my experience from the first time we went had changed . Now please look at my other reviews many from Asian countries and they have been open decades not 12 months and they aren’t looking tired it was an observation one that made my family say don’t bring us here again ! I stand by every word . It’s my review and totally honest . You don’t like criticism then sorry . You will always be busy due to location but far better places to eat . You won’t be seeing us again . And as you can see we eat out a lot ! Unfortunately things appeared to have slipped a bit … owner friendly but rest of staff non existent. Cutlery dropped on freshly cleaned table like you are in a cafe the place itself is starting to look tired but now the food poppadoms £1 each and chutneys £3 that’s over £10 before you start ! Ordered the tasty lamb staff curry I have to say it was tasty . Daal ghosht also spot on . Now the not so good the butter chicken tasted nothing like it and had a taste of sugar and desiccated coconut definitely not butter chicken very disappointed the so called desi salad was micro diced cucumber tomatoes and onion with a bit of coriander! Almost £4 was extortionate. The Riata should be natural yogurt spices mint with diced tomatoe cucumber etc , what was presented was a bowl of finely sliced obviously by machine cucumber with a blob of yoghurt on top and again over £4 is ridiculous I queried it and they offered to change it but all they did was stir it begrudgingly once . This isn’t riata . Rotis cooked ok . Chicken byriani tasty but bland sauce it came with was left well alone . Overall bill of £72 and we drank water ! Expensive and the food has gone downhill I am afraid . Disappointed we paid and left not one of the staff said Thankyou goodnight etc just ignored . I didn’t tip as service was I am afraid poor we arrived at 1845 and got served 1950 I understand you are busy but that’s far too long to wait . I always give honest reviews but I am afraid not the same as it was when opened . Rammed full but I’m guessing most curry houses are Saturday night but this is one very much off my list . A picture says a thousand words last photo is the recent visit and the others from the first visit when it opened .

First time in Saffron tonight and it was great! The food was exceptionally good, we had chicken tikka pathia which was very tasty, seek kebabs were the best I've ever had.. staff there were very friendly, and will definitely being going back again :-)

Lovely food, I can't remember either the last time I had a starter and or main course and didnt leave my husband to finish it. I ate both courses to myself, as well as pinching a bit of my husbands food. Amazing, left with what I call " christmas dinner belly!" Thank you to Saffron.

We were the first customers, and the table who came after us they got their food first. The service was awful. The kid was bleaching the windows next to us and vaping in the kitchen. The steak was thin and drenched in watery sauce. The rice had no flavour whatsoever not even seasoned with salt. Chicken was well made but lacked in flavour.

Evening 10th August. Cash only. Not participating in the scheme. Wonder why. Food was atrocious. Paid around £16 for this mixed steak which came in a bath of peri sauce. Beef was a thin wafer slice which was very chewy. Had to ask 3 times for water. Poor food and poor service. The prayer room is in a utter state. The prayer mats are covered in black marks. Absolute disgraceful.

I came here with my family to give the place a try as we were in Oldham at the time, safe to say that I will not be coming here again, first of all none of the tables were large enough for a group above 8 so if you are coming in a big group of people you are better off going elsewhere, the service was alright, however half the food that was on the menu wasn’t even available when we were trying to order, none of the steaks were available and instead I had to settle for a chicken special meal instead and I was not impressed. Wasn’t the best experience for me and food could be much better.

Not the best service, customers came after me and ordered a similar meal and got theirs first, couldn’t help but feel there’s some favouritism. Overall mix platter was not the best. Chicken was dry and donner was slightly rubbery. Won’t be returning. 👎

Always a friendly welcome by staff and a friendly atmosphere. Close to Freehold metro station. Good entertainment at weekends. 2nd October '24 Pub is now under new management. They now have a Jam session on a Wednesday night 6.30 until 10.00 which is doing well.

Was a lovely flying visit and a nice surprise my old neighbour is running it.

Went for a friends gig today. Nice venue very welcoming vibe and good atmosphere. Guinness was great and the staff were nice. Regulars in there weren't turning their nose up at new punters, always a sign of a good pub.

Large function room and friendly staff. There is also a large beer garden on the side of the pub and a carpark. Ideal place for a quick catch up with friends or a quick pint with the family. The weavers arms also likes to entertain and have charity events and jam nights on a Wednesday, highly recommended if you like live music or play an instrument or just do a little karaoke. They have a tap room with a pool table and darts board and also have teams that play for the pub. Good atmosphere and good people if you're looking for a new local, I recently had a surprise party there and it was an awesome night.

Best bar for miles, those two who manage it have really brought life back to the hill. I haven't seen such a healthy diverse venue of punters enjoying this place nearly every night of the week - they don't take card-payments but the staff are happy to escort you to the cash point next door should single women feel uneasy after dark - I strongly recommend this place to book your even. I seen Weddings, Birthdays, Wakes, Baby Name Reveals, someone even booked it for the RUGBY WORLD CUP for the big screen and a buffet - Awesome

Pleased to announce that they now serve food. There is a wide range of British classics with fine beers and wines. It's good valued and delicious. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Its always difficult to find a decent burger which is made fresh meat. This place was worth the trip down from the north east. We got the jailbird burger meal and it was sensational! Unreal flavours and perfectlt cooked and coated chicken fillet! And also a cheeseburger burger meal the mince pattys were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Unreal.

I ordered a burger meal from here last night and was seriously impressed. The food came quickly, was fresh and delicious. The portion of fries was huge and perfectly seasoned, the burger was packed full of flavour, and the presentation was great. Probably my new go to burger takeaway 👌

Absolutely amazing service! The young man at the front, by the name of Hamim, was so professional, polite, and welcoming — he really made the experience even better. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak toastie and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had. Full of flavour, perfectly toasted, and super satisfying. Mmmm 😋 what a classic SMASH Burger. The burger couldn't stop dripping with those flavours running through my fingers. Perfect just right.Burger-rize is rising, skin on chips with salt & pepper n hint of herbs, and I am guessing what a great combo. Wow... Just wow. Best burgers in town without a doubt. The quality of the meat is as good as you will ever get. The chicken wings are out of this world, oozing with flavour in every bite. Fries were nicely seasoned. Honestly I'm impressed. Branding, packaging and service was on point too. This place just raised the bar for burger joints in Oldham. Look forward to visiting again soon.

Burger was exceptional. Melted in my mouth. The meat wasnt overdone it was cooked just right and was juicy. It did not have a gamey taste which means it was seasoned very well. The chips were tasty and seasoned with salt, pepper and thyme which enhanced the flavour. The customer service was fantastic and they provided extra sauces free of charge. Highly recommend if youre looking for a local spot

Had a takeaway. Don’t know if standards are different between takeaway and sit down but our takeaway was average. Not much meat in the dish and chicken seemed plastic. Don’t let standards drop on takeaways because we aren’t there to send it back please. Service good. Can’t comment on atmosphere.

The Weds and Sunday special 3 course menu offer £12.95pp is a bargain! There’s a really good selection of starters and mains to choose from. The restaurant was quite busy when we went on a weds evening. The food was lovely as usual but the food wasn’t piping hot as it usually is. Ended taking home a doggie bag as we had ordered extra starters as well. Staff were lovely and helpful with menu choices. It’s still my fav curry place in Shaw.

Went on a work's do here and had a really lovely evening. The food was beautiful, very tasty and full of flavour. Staff friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning. *Update... After such a great first time here, I brought my mum for her mother's day treat. Chose a different meal and I enjoyed it as much, if not more than the first. Love the variety of veggie/ Vegan options. Came at 5pm . staff and service amazing. Cost £30 for a couple of poppadoms, 4 pots of dips, two Currys, ciabatta, nan, and chip's. We drank water and was offered a complimentary Irish/brandy coffee on finishing. Can't wait to go and try something else. Sticking with the 5* rating.

Gorgeous restaurant, very clean quick service great deal on Wednesday and Sundays. Its a must. Very accommodating to your needs.

Been a few times now staff are very polite only one gripe spend over 25 and you get 2 bottles of bud ,I now have a crate full no one likes bud at mine ,would be very happy with a can of strongbow instead and cheaper to buy than bud lol

Heard good things about this place, so I popped in to get a few bits to try it out. Towards other Chinese takeaways in shaw, it's quite expensive, but you do get slightly bigger portion sizes, especially with the noodles, there was so many but in the best way. The food was good. I've had better hit and sour soup, but I really enjoyed it. We will be back again as we are excited to try more off the menu.

Always very quick from placing your order, quality food, good portions and really tasty. There's a few Chinese to choose from near me, but this is top of the list. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered a beef curry fried rice at a recent stay in Shaw. I called the order by phone and arrived 4 minutes later. The Meal was already prepared and ready to go. The meal was awful. The ride was disgusting. Usually rice is cooked so well by Chinese Restaurants its my go to dish. Not this time! I tasted the meal which to be fair wasn't cold but the taste and texture felt awful in the mouth. I washed it down the look. So disappointed. I won't be trying them again.

Never been here before but I will always go back. Chow Mein was lovely with fresh vegetables. Staff very friendly.

Amazing Chinese food! This place is my top choice for a takeaway when I don’t feel like cooking. They have a large selection of dishes, and their new dim sum options are also really good.

For the first time I entered this pub I'm really enjoying it, good music super nice, I hope it stays that way.

Dave and Tracey are absolutely fantastic and always make people welcome. The only downfall I that dippy Dave is a Scouse fan which is totally uncalled for round these parts. Even so it's a top boozer great crack but no descent looking birds, just a place for a booze.

Very bland food and the service wasn't really anything to write about. Had a cold atmosphere, one would think it was haunted by an old 👴

Had an absolutely belting night, great atmosphere not been in for a while what with covid etc, but considering our original plans where cancelled at a different venue we had a few drinks in local pubs and ended up finishing off here , cracking night .

Will not be ordering from here again. I waited an hour and a half for my food, when I phoned to see where it was I was told they were busy and hung up on. When the food did arrive the salt and pepper chicken was rubbery, the noodles and egg fried rice were completely dry and the chips were rock solid.

Don't normally bother with reviews but had to express my appreciation. The food was fantastic, fresh, tasty, plentiful. Special mention for the chips way above the usual chippy standard. Well done will definitely order again 👍

Just ordered for first time £7.10 for half a tub of tiny salt and pepper chicken! What a joke. Crispy shredded chilli beef is soggy and chewy. Prawns in green and black pepper sauce tasteless Both sauces in prawns and crispy beef like water and tasteless. What a waste of 30 quid! Order from happy family down the road won't make that mistake again Won't be ordering again.

Lived here nearly 7 years and only just discovered this place last week. First time we ordered online for delivery, second time ordered and picked up. Salt and pepper chips and mushrooms a hit with my partner and I love the egg fried rice. They offer veggie options. Very good portion size and very friendly at pick up today! :) xx
