It is easily accessible by public transport too, as you can walk up from Nagatoro station in about 10 to 15 minutes.

A cute and scenic ride up to Hodosan. The station has free wifi, a rest spot with air conditioning, location stamps, and a small gift shop. There is a free shuttle bus going to and from the ropeway and Nagatoro station. The views from atop Hodosan are spectacular.

Nice and fast ropeway. I went to mount Hodo during the robai (wintersweet) and I highly recommend it! The pretty yellow flowers smell amazing. There was also an interesting monkey performance when we went. Also we bought delicious dried persimmons from the stall at the top.

Enjoying the quick mountain trekking at the Mt. Hodo in Nagatoro area. It was so good to have the curry lunch in the Trangia messtins. It was amazing to see the autumn colors on the surface of hot coffee and the winter cherry blossom.

Lots of steps to get there, but the view from the mountain is worth the effort. Marvelous!

It is a paradise for Tofu lovers! There is only one food set to order, which means you won’t have to think of which one you’d eat. I like it because it is healthy and there are different variations of Tofu that is served. All good! I had the dessert but could not finish since the meal was filling! The cheesecake was good though. 🙂

Chichibu might be a small town but this restaurant is certainly unique and serves SUPER delicious Tofu!! The lunch set with desert was just unbelievably yummy! Must visit if you ever planning to visit Chichibu!
