Outdoor Activities
Patenga Sea Beach, nestled along the stunning Bay of Bengal near Chattogram's bustling port area, is a vibrant destination that perfectly blends relaxation with adventure. This lively beach offers visitors an array of activities, from boating to indulging in delicious street food from local vendors. The atmosphere here is enchanting, especially during the evenings when the gentle sea breeze and swaying palm trees create a serene backdrop for unwinding.
Patenga Sea Beach is a great place to relax and enjoy the sea breeze. The sunset views here are absolutely stunning, and it's a popular spot for both locals and tourists. The beach has improved over the years with new walkways, sitting areas, and food stalls that add to the experience. However, it can get very crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. Cleanliness is also an issue in some areas, with litter often left behind by visitors. Authorities should enforce stricter waste management and encourage people to keep the beach clean. Overall, it's a lovely place to spend time with family and friends—just try to visit during off-peak hours for a more peaceful experience
Mahmudul H — Google review
My visit to Patenga Sea Beach was a truly unforgettable experience. The sky was filled with thunderclouds during my stay, creating a dramatic and breathtaking atmosphere. I spent around an hour and a half there, completely captivated by the natural beauty and intensity of the moment. It was a perfect example of what we call in Bangla — "ভয়ংকর সুন্দর" — terrifyingly beautiful. The combination of roaring waves, stormy skies, and cool sea breeze made it a memorable and thrilling experience.
Mahmud T — Google review
Beautiful sea beach.... definitely not the best in Bangladesh but one of the beautiful sea beaches. Went there during the afternoon. There were plenty of parking places, so we had no problem with car parking.. The sea was quite calm that day, so we went into the water. Though the water was dirty compared to Cox Bazar beach. There were speed boats to ride, but we did not take the ride. We just enjoyed the sunset...it was awesome. There were a lot of food stalls and souvenir shops.
Nazmus S — Google review
Patenga beach is one of my favorite places, I really enjoy going there, you can also go there, but keep two things in mind, 1/ Don't go to a quiet place alone at night, or don't sit anywhere alone, 2/ Be careful of those who take pictures with cameras, they are very bad. If you take pictures with their cameras, first bring all the pictures to your mobile phone, check them and pay.
Mdrakibtalukder — Google review
I really enjoyed my time there. The area has plenty of parking space, which made things easy. There are lots of tasty snacks available like peyaju, chotpoti, fuchka, and badam. You can also try horse riding by the beach, which was a fun experience. For those who love adventure, there are speed boat rides too! It’s a great place to relax, have fun, and enjoy the sea breeze.
Tanjina U — Google review
Patenga Sea Beach is a beautiful spot to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the Bay of Bengal. The golden sands and gentle waves create a serene atmosphere, especially during sunset . It's a great place for photography enthusiasts and nature lovers. However, some visitors have noted that the water can appear a bit murky, and the beach can get crowded, particularly in the afternoons . Despite these minor drawbacks, it's still a worthwhile destination for those looking to experience the coastal charm of Chittagong.
Dipayon D — Google review
Patenga Sea View in Chittagong is a beautiful and refreshing spot to enjoy the ocean breeze and watch the waves crash along the shore. The view during sunset is truly breathtaking, with golden light reflecting on the water. It’s a great place for a walk, boat ride, or just relaxing with friends and family. Street food and snacks are available nearby, adding to the local flavor. The area has improved in recent years with better seating and walkways. Though it can get crowded on holidays, the overall vibe is lively and enjoyable. A must-visit if you’re in Chittagong!
Muhammad K — Google review
One of the best places in Chittagong city for hangout-refreshing yourself-releasing your stress-making a better moment-standing great time with your partner & family add obviously enjoyable place for friends hangout.❤️ One of the must visit places in Chittagong. As the nearest beach from Chittagong airport if you give a minimum time on this place you can see many plane take off from very close eyes. 📍 Every product price is little bit high on this place for its popularity are you can say it's for demand and supply effect. Returning time from this place you can scammed from the local driver so be careful about your return trip! 📍 Click every moment in your phone photographer are not recommended ❗ Have a great tour For any kind of guidance feel free to mail me.

The Ethnological Museum Chittagong stands as a "treasure with tales," offering a captivating journey into Bangladesh's diverse tribal cultures, showcasing a rich collection of artifacts that illuminate the unique traditions and histories of various ethnic groups. While its extensive exhibits provide invaluable educational insights and play a crucial role in cultural preservation, the museum faces challenges with maintenance, limited English descriptions, and somewhat outdated displays. Despite these drawbacks, it remains a vital resource for understanding the country's cultural tapestry, offering visitors a rare opportunity to appreciate the distinct customs and lifestyles of Bangladesh's tribal communities. A visit, though potentially hindered by photography restrictions and accessibility limitations, is highly recommended for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the region's rich cultural heritage.

I visited the Ethnological Museum in Chittagong today, but unfortunately, it was closed. So I couldn’t go inside. However, the exterior of the museum looks quite impressive and well-maintained. The location is easily accessible and situated near the main road in Agrabad, making it convenient for visitors. I really hope to come back again when it’s open and explore the rich cultural exhibits inside. It seems like a great place to learn about the diverse ethnic groups of Bangladesh. Even from the outside, you can feel the historical and cultural significance of the place. Definitely looking forward to my next visit!

I visited this museum with my friends. This museum stores a lot of information about different ethnicities. But honestly I did not find it interesting. I think it can be interesting only for those who are interested in this subject particularly.

The Ethological museum is a central museum for all the ethological people of the country. The tribal people's history and culture is well depicted here. But the place is undernourished. When, we went there painting works were ongoing. Maybe for that reason, dust was all over the museum. But as it was kept open, the museum should be well in shape. The items are not upgraded. It seemed that no caretaking was done in the last few years.
Ami S — Google review
It was a nice experience, saw some new things of the ethnic people. Entry fee is 30 tk. And It closes at 6.PM .

Come on in, take a look and enjoy yourself! Note: You must keep the museum clean and tidy, do not throw dirt there .. Do not touch anything .. Good place for outing with friends & family. The place is kids friendly too. We took entry ticket with 4 rides at 350 Taka. The thing i found most disgusting is Lake View Restaurant. Food quality is below standard but the price is too high.

I won't recommend foy's lake for adults :3. But the Basecamp activities look interesting but the majority of the time they're booked so normal people can't enter.

It offers a serene atmosphere, and opening hours are from 7 AM to 12 PM and then again from 2 PM to 5 PM. Walking through the cemetery, you can feel the history and significance of the place. It’s not just a site for remembrance but also a place for reflection on the cost of war and the value of peace. The serenity and cleanliness of the surroundings make it a must-visit for history enthusiasts and those seeking a quiet, meaningful experience. A truly humbling and respectful place. Highly recommended! 🙏✨

Nice visit. The location itself is very scenic and a fresh distraction from the city. But when we went they said that currently it was not allowed to enter the cemetery main area, only the outside area is open to visitors. So, if you're looking to visit inside, try to ask beforehand.
Mahbub N — Google review
This cemetery was established to honor Commonwealth soldiers and others who lost their lives during World War II. It was created by the British Army and originally contained around 400 burials. The site is a peaceful and well-maintained place that offers an opportunity to learn about history.
Hridoy S — Google review
Very quite place, nice ambient. But during weekend they locked the gate so one can't get a close look on the cemetery. Visitors keep making the place dirty. Authority should have close look on this matter.
Nabila ( — Google review
I visited the War Cemetery in Chittagong in July 2017. The place was peaceful and well-maintained, with beautiful flower gardens and neatly arranged graves of brave soldiers. It felt calm and respectful — a great place to learn some history and spend quiet time.
Amit K — Google review
The environment here is very beautiful, pleasant and clean. No ticket is required for entry. But the inner part of the grave cannot be entered. Only the front can be accessed. The map says it is open from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. But in reality, most of the time the gate closes at 10:00 am. It opens again at 3:00 PM and closes at 5:00 PM.
Ajrin A — Google review
Good place for spending time. Well-designed, neat and clean. So much greenery and clam environment.

I have become to know about 1. The burial ground for the heroic soldiers who died in this region (ten countries) during 2nd World War in 1939-1945 2. How to keep a burial ground clean and holy 3. How to keep green plants and flowers excellent. 4. How to honour the soldiers and freedom fighters who sacrifice their lives for the country.

Batali Hill

Mountain peak
Batali Hill, also known as 'Zilapir Pahar', is the tallest hill in Chattogram City, Bangladesh. Standing at 180 feet high and occupying an area of 43.50 acres, it offers stunning panoramic views of the Bay of Bengal and a significant portion of the city. Once home to a lighthouse and WWII-era aeroplane destroyer cannon, this government-owned property boasts diverse flora with around 50 species of trees.
It's a nice place closest to Tigerpass. Birds Eye View of Chittagong can be enjoyed from here. Best time to go at the evening
Abdul S — Google review
Natural theme park actually. Just enjoy the peace and clamness of nature
RIFAT A — Google review
Travelers who found this place through google search be aware. The stairs to the hill are surrounded by slums. The hill is full of trash. It's risky to go there after 5pm. After reaching the top I did not find anything interesting. The view is not up to the mark.
Raiyad R — Google review
Overrated place. Its not a place to visit particularly when you come to cTG. No transport people doest not know where is batali hill. Its a closed one. I mean people cannot go there easily. There is a police checkpoint and you have to bribe 50-100 taka to enter this place. Most important thing its uncleaned and lots of slum houses are below the hill which makes the environment fully dirty. On the top of hill there is a tower and the stairs are full broken and any time any one can be injured if he/she is not careful.
Fazle R — Google review
Batali Hill is the tallest hill of Chattogram City. It is also known as 'Zilapir Pahar'. Nice place indeed. Bay of Bengal and the most part of Chattogram city can clearly be seen from the top of Batali Hill. It occupies an area of 43.50 acres. The height of Batali Hill is 180 feet. It is a perfect observation point of Chattogram City. Once a lighthouse was here. During WWII aeroplane destroyer cannon was set up here. Batali Hill is a government property. There are 50 species of trees. About 14,000 trees are here. This place is very close to mother nature. Fresh air can be enjoyed here. Batali Hill is a 2-3 minutes walk from Tiger Pass intersection. Everybody travelling Chattogram should come here.

Zia Memorial Museum is a grand estate that now functions as a museum honoring the late leader, President Ziaur Rahman. It also showcases significant moments in Bangladesh's history and has beautiful grounds. This museum was once the Circuit House where President Ziaur Rahman was assassinated by an army coup on May 30, 1981. The exhibits offer glimpses into Mr. Rahman's life timeline and are well maintained with cooperative staff members.
I visited Zia Memorable Museum, Chittagong recently and it left a lasting impression on me. The museum is well-curated — the exhibits are thoughtfully arranged, informative, and engaging. The staff were courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable, eager to answer questions or offer insights. The ambiance is pleasant, clean, and well-maintained. It’s a great place to spend some time learning about local history and culture in Chittagong. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

Zia Memorial Museum – A Place of Historical Reflection I recently visited the Zia Memorial Museum in Chattogram, and it was a meaningful and thought-provoking experience. The museum is housed in the historic Chittagong Circuit House, where former President Ziaur Rahman was assassinated in 1981. The museum consists of 17 galleries, showcasing different phases of Zia’s life – from his early military days to his leadership during the Liberation War, his political career, foreign visits, and his tragic assassination. Each room is filled with photos, documents, and personal items that narrate his journey. The environment was quiet, clean, and secured. However, some displays could use clearer descriptions and a more neutral historical tone. Photography is restricted in most parts, so be sure to check with the staff before taking pictures.

this place is so mesmerizing, soothing and healing. this place is highly recommended for those who have interest in political history. this place is amazing, beautiful as well as emotional. inside of museum photography is prohibited but i took risk to take some shots because this guy was damn smart. check the schedule of visitors hours before you go. DSLR camera is not allowed. you have to put your bag in locker room and collect the token. follow the instructions of there and keep it clean as well as your surroundings.

The Zia Memorial Museum was built in memory of the former President of Bangladesh, Ziaur Rahman. It is one of the places associated with the history of Bangladesh. This building was originally built in 1913 during the British period. It was then used as Chittagong Circuit House. Ziaur Rahman was killed in this circuit house in a military coup on May 30, 1981. It was inaugurated as a museum on September 6, 1993. Many personal belongings used by Ziaur Rahman are kept here. Also, many rare photographs, gifts and documents from various periods and events of his life are available here. Various specimens of Ziaur Rahman's assassination are still preserved in this museum. The transmitter used by Ziaur Rahman at the Kalurghat radio station to announce independence can be seen at the Zia Memorial Museum. The environment inside and outside the museum is beautiful, pleasant and quiet. The structure of the building shows the impression of the British era. In 2006, a new administrative building was constructed behind this building. However, general visitors are not allowed to enter there. To go to the museum, one has to come from any part of the city to Kazi Deuri. Zia Memorial Museum is located here next to Radisson Blu.

This amusement park has lost all it's beauty. Whole surrounding is not clean at all. Rides are almost old and some of them were closed. Some were under constructions. Lake's water was extremely smelly and dirty. Authority should concern about this & take proper care.
Nabila ( — Google review
Too much commercialisation of the natural lake and hills. Their policy for kids of different size and adult is so that all can't get into same rides. That means adults can ride specific rides and kids can ride some childish small rides only. That defeats the purpose of family fun. To make it worse, those policy is not written, you have to ask in front of every ride. Staffs are not at all cordial and well behaved. They work like bus conductor and don't give complete info or knows how to deal with customers. Entry fee is very high, 350 taka. That means only to see the lake and hills you have to pay this ! Entry with 5 ride is 500 taka, where the rides are different for kids and adults.

I had a nice time at Foy’s Lake Concord Amusement World! The place offers a fun experience with a good selection of rides and a beautiful lake view, making it a great spot for a day out. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and I’d definitely consider visiting again. However, I’m giving it three stars because there’s still room for improvement. Some rides could be better maintained, and the overall experience could be smoother with better facilities or organization. While I had fun, a few things could be improved to make it truly great. Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re looking for a fun outing, but don’t expect perfection.

A good place to visit with family or friends. Especially kids will love this park. Inside the park there are various rides for kids and adults. The ticket price of the ride is given in the picture. Apart from the pictures, there are some other rides. Kayaking is available in the lake. Can go on a boat trip with the family. There are also boat trips to SeaWorld. The surrounding environment is quite good. No outside food can be taken inside. But the price of the food inside seemed high to me. Base camp is available. There are also resorts if you want to stay inside the park. Overall, good as an amusement park in Chittagong city. But everything costs a little more.
Ajrin A — Google review
Foy’s Lake in Chattogram is a popular spot for its calm waters and lush surroundings, perfect for a short escape into nature. The boat rides are especially loved by families and couples. Unfortunately, the amusement park lacks proper upkeep, making some rides feel unsafe. Many visitors complain about expensive, low-quality food options. The resort area suffers from poor maintenance, including water leaks and unclean rooms. Customer service is often reported as unresponsive and unhelpful.

Naval Sea Beach

Mentioned on
6 lists
Naval Sea Beach, located near Patenga Sea Beach on the outskirts of Chattagram city, is a popular spot for locals to enjoy scenic sunsets and street food. Bounded by wave breakers, it offers a refreshing experience for visitors looking to relax with friends and family. The area is well-secured, with a few restaurants and restrooms available. During the rainy season, the beach takes on a mesmerizing quality as nature's calmness contrasts with the rough sea.
Chittagong Naval Sea Beach offers a stunning view with many ships visible offshore, creating a unique and beautiful coastal experience. A peaceful spot to relax and enjoy maritime scenery.
Sohel R — Google review
You need to have permission to enter into this beach. If you have any naval officer relative or friend it will be easier. It is not a beach in true sense but the mouth of the Karnaphuli River opening into the BoB (Bay of Bengal). The area is restricted and fenced for security. This is why you can enjoy the view of both river side (some portion) and the sea. But you cannot get down to the beach itself. Only when there is high tide, water level rise upto the boulders which are beyond the fence. However, it is not bad for a family time spending with young kids for their safety. Also the area is maintained by grassy meadow like slope which the kids enjoy most. There are washrooms and a cafeteria here. You can park your car with safety. As it is a restricted area, the crowd is less except for occasions or holidays.

It is a place where everyone has to visit once to refresh their mind and soul. The beach is a nice place to visit with friends and family members. The area is nice and the security is also tide here. So travel will be charmed. There are few restaurants and restroom which are usable if needed. Thank you. 😊

The shore of ocean never fails to surprise us. Naval Sea Beach isn't any different in that case. The atmosphere and everything natural you can see here reminds you the calmness of sea. However I'm still giving this place 3 out of 5 because of people. Sadly many businesses run here and to observe the beauty, you must pay and then get a chair for yourself to sit. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing in itself unless you're forced to do that. Which happens here frequently, the shop sellers will sometimes nag you to purchase foods from them (which isn't great) and get rid of their constant interference. This kills the ocean vibes quite a bit. If there were public spots freely available to everyone and nobody had to face unwanted naggings of shop sellers, Naval would become 5/5.

The experience is just wow during rain. I love to visit there during the rainy season. The calmness of nature and the rough sea to gather will create a mind blowing experience for anyone. You must fall in love for sure. Rain, sea, piyaju, tea, ship. 🥰🥰

Wonderful area for refreshing your mind. Its wise to visit the place at afternoon so you may have a sound weather there. River is usually remains calm and quite. Lots of roadside restaurants are there where you can eat small snacks, crab, chola etc. Usually in holiday the area remains a bit crowded. Try to burgain with the asking price whatever you want to buy or want to go.

It's a nice place to relax and grab a quick bite. There are plenty of stalls selling snacks. You can find fried crab, variety of fish fry, ect. It's best to go after sundown or around sunset.

A very nice travel area needs some fresh air with bird spring with a gentle breeze and the right neighbourhood with all these facilities in Bengal (Piyaju and Kakra). Yes, it is a kind of open space without any barriers, but you will feel every moment here.

Parki Sea Beach: A Hidden Gem Near Chattogram Parki Sea Beach, also known as "Parkir Char Sea Beach," is located just an hour to an hour and a half away from Chattogram city. While Cox’s Bazar and Patenga Beach were once the only well-known beaches in the region, Parki Beach has gradually gained popularity. On one side, you’ll find lush green casuarina forests, and on the other, the vast blue waters of the sea, welcoming visitors with breathtaking beauty. The gentle sea breeze will instantly lift your spirits. Chattogram, often referred to as the city of beaches, is home to several natural beaches, and Parki Beach is one of them. However, to reach it, you must cross the Karnaphuli River from Chattogram city. The beach is rich in natural diversity, featuring red crabs, casuarina forests, and much more. In the past, the road to Parki Beach was not well-developed. However, as more travelers began visiting, authorities renovated the road, making it smooth and accessible. Additionally, security measures have been strengthened. Alongside the beach, under the shade of the casuarina trees, numerous food stalls and small shops have emerged, offering visitors refreshments and souvenirs. Visitors can enjoy speedboat rides on the sea, explore the shoreline on sea bikes or horseback, and take in the serene surroundings. These activities are available for a fixed hourly rental fee. Walking north along the casuarina forest, you’ll reach the confluence of the Bay of Bengal and the Karnaphuli River, a mesmerizing sight for nature lovers. How to Reach Parki Sea Beach First Route: 1. Take a CNG auto-rickshaw from Chattogram city and ask the driver to drop you at Patenga 15 No. Jetty. 2. From there, cross the Karnaphuli River by boat. 3. Once on the other side, take an auto-rickshaw to Parki Beach. The fare is around 100 BDT. 4. To return, follow the same route. The total travel time from Chattogram city to Parki Beach is about one hour. Alternatively, you can reach Parki Beach directly via the third Karnaphuli Bridge, but this route takes more time and costs more. Second Route: 1. From any part of Chattogram city, take a bus or tempo to the Shah Amanat Bridge (third Karnaphuli Bridge). 2. From there, take a bus heading toward Bottoli Mohsin Auliya Mazar in Anwara Upazila. 3. Be careful not to confuse Bottoli with Boiltoli, as they are different locations. 4. Ask the bus conductor to drop you at a place called Center, which is actually Malkhan Bazar but commonly referred to as "Center." The bus fare is 25-30 BDT per person. 5. From Center, you can take a CNG auto-rickshaw to Parki Beach for 100-150 BDT. Before heading to the beach, you may purchase food and other essentials from Center Bazar or the market near Chattogram Urea Fertilizer Housing Colony, as shops on the beach may not have everything you need. If you prefer to hire a CNG auto-rickshaw directly from Chattogram city to Parki Beach, the fare is 400-500 BDT. For any assistance, you can contact the Rangadia Police Outpost, located near the beach. Where to Stay? There are no quality accommodations near Parki Sea Beach. Therefore, it is best to plan a day trip and return to Chattogram city in the evening.

Parki Sea Beach in Chattogram, Bangladesh, is a hidden gem known for its serene beauty and peaceful atmosphere. The long stretch of golden sand and gentle waves make it perfect for relaxation and a peaceful getaway. While it’s less commercialized, the lack of overcrowding adds to its charm. Visitors can enjoy the fresh sea breeze, clean surroundings, and scenic views, particularly during sunset. However, the area lacks sufficient amenities like food stalls or proper washroom facilities. Despite this, Parki Sea Beach is an ideal destination for those seeking a quiet, nature-filled escape.

Known for its golden sandy shores, gentle waves, and breathtaking sunsets, the beach is a popular spot for both locals and tourists seeking relaxation and natural beauty. Situated near the mouth of the Karnaphuli River, Parki Beach offers a unique view where river and sea meet, creating a picturesque landscape. Parki Beach looks beautiful in photos, but reality is completely different. This place is full of fraud and scams. All locals there try to take your money in any way possible. If you go alone or as two people, they will target you more. ATV rides: Overpriced scams—1000–2000+ Taka for just a few minutes. DSLR photo guys: Take your photos first, then ask crazy money. Even sitting on random chairs costs you—people demand payment. No tourist police available. The office is there but empty, no help if something happens. I personally felt scared and uncomfortable. Not recommended for families or solo travelers. Visit only if you’re ready to deal with harassment.

I visited Handi Restaurant during my Chottogram journey. The food was really delicious and well-cooked, but I felt the prices were a bit on the higher side. Overall, it’s a nice place if you want to enjoy good taste and quality food, but be prepared for the cost.

This is my 2nd time going Handi in this location.. i loved their Evening Manu, Hence going again & again. This one start after 4.00 PM before is only lunch available. Was bit awkward knowing it as I went for dosa, at lunch but they said it will be available after 4 in the evening, we had drinks previously too. It tasted so much better than anything I expected. Don’t know about lunch or dinner menu yet will let you know when I try it next time. Environment if family friendly. Interior is also pretty, it’s a big space restaurant with good manner waiters 🧡
Aheda S — Google review
The Handi Biryani was just okay. I only got one proper meat piece and two pieces were mostly fat. It wasn’t served hot enough. Most of the time, they don’t have the items they advertise, even though they promote as if they have a wide variety.
IH ( — Google review
The restaurant is well decorated. It can be the top choice if anyone wishes to taste Haydarabadi Biriany in Chittagong town. Although having good taste of food,I am giving it 4 stars because of the overprice considering the amount. It's true that they served 4 pieces of mutton but the amount of rice is not enough. A full plate biriany per person is 480tk which might be lesser in cost. Another reason for not giving 5 stars is that they don’t provide any complementary salad or pickle or any other item which is frustrating. Instead customers have to spend at least 80tk for ordinary type salad. Fruit custard was also ordered which cost 110tk, the taste was ordinary and amount wasn’t enough... You will find the same type of Fruit Custard outside within 50/60tk. However, I will not recommend it to anyone who has budget constraint....
MASUD R — Google review
Handi offers a mixed bag. The restaurant boasts a beautiful interior – a plus point for a special occasion. Their Hyderabadi biryani is a heavy hitter- flavorful and perfectly cooked. The beef boti kabab was also tasty, though on the pricier side. However, the high points are spoiled by big downsides. The tandoori chicken, unfortunately, falls flat, lacking the expected smoky char and juicy tenderness. But the most concerning aspect was the extremely rude behavior and service from the staff. The waiters behavior was unfortunately quite rude. We experienced a long wait time on both getting seated and for our food to arrive. The condition of the restroom was also unsatisfactory. The overall service left a lot to be desired. If you're looking for an good biryani, want to show off other people and can tolerate long waits and bad service, Handi might be worth a try.
Sadeen K — Google review
Pasta, Sea food pizza, Dosa was good. Taste varies though. I did not like the Borhani and Jira Pani. Budget friendly.
Nayan B — Google review
It is a very well organized restaurant..... 😌 Their 1 portion of meal is good for 2 people. Like the Chicken butter masala on the menu may seem over prized but their portion is good for 3 person.... So for one person you can order half of the meal portion and you will be good. The service was really fast and neat..... Over all a very good place near the bus stops to have dinner or lunch....😇

Visited Barcode Restaurant at 2 No. Gate, Chattogram, with high expectations, but was slightly disappointed. The ambiance is nice and the staff were courteous, but the food taste did not meet the standard. Dishes looked good but lacked flavor and seasoning, especially compared to the price. Service was fairly quick, and the environment is suitable for family or friends’ gatherings. However, for a restaurant with such a reputation, the food quality needs improvement. Hope they work on enhancing the taste and consistency to match the overall vibe of the place.

Buffet style Bangla cuisine. Taste of different Bengali foods under one roof. Food is good. Service could be better. Have to wait during rush time.
Shehzad T — Google review
Went to Barcode with a group of 8 and had a great time! We ordered a bunch of different dishes and overall, the food didn’t disappoint. The Beef pasta Bolognaise was super tasty, and their chicken broast was a hit too — crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. We also tried a couple of their desserts, and they were really good! The only miss for us was the Thai clear soup — it didn’t quite hit the mark. The chicken they used in the soup was a bit smelly. The place itself was clean and had a nice vibe, nothing too fancy but comfortable enough to chill and enjoy a meal. Definitely planning to go back — great spot for groups and good food!
Nafisa K — Google review
Went to Barcode with a group of 8 and had a fairly good time overall. The place has a clean, relaxed vibe — nothing over the top, but perfect for a casual group meal. We ordered a bunch of dishes, including their popular “RIP Diet”. I’ve had it before and remembered it being rich, moist, and super satisfying. Unfortunately, this time it felt dry and stale, like it had been sitting around too long. Still good enough to share, but definitely not as impressive as it used to be. The Beef Pasta Bolognese was great — flavorful and nicely done. The chicken broast also hit the mark: crispy, juicy, and well-seasoned. We tried a couple of desserts too, and those were actually pretty good. The Thai clear soup was the only real letdown — bland broth and the chicken had an odd smell. One thing that bugged us a little: our server seemed professional, but the way he took our order felt a bit rushed. We barely had time to look through the full menu before being asked to decide, which wasn’t ideal for a group trying to order different things. Still, Barcode is a decent spot if you’re looking for variety and chill group vibes. Hopefully next time the service and food are more consistent.
Jesan T — Google review
Barcode Cafe – 2 No Gate, Chattogram I’ve had good experiences at other Barcode Cafe branches, but this one was a letdown. ✅ What was okay: • The Bhuna Khichuri (130 BDT) was the only item that stood out—it was decent, maybe even average at best. • The Malai Cha (40 BDT) was flavorful, though a bit overpriced. ❌ What went wrong: • Most of the food was very oily and over-spiced—difficult for people who prefer less heat or cleaner flavors. • Nothing felt worth the price—from vorta to chutney, everything lacked freshness or balance. • Despite the nice interior décor and artistic walls, the food quality didn’t match the ambiance. I expected a lot more given Barcode’s reputation, but sadly this branch didn’t live up to it. Would recommend the other outlets instead.

I ordered red and white cream pasta and a beef burger, The pasta was salty and had no spice, The burger beef patty was rubbery. I asked them for spicy sauce for the pasta and they gave me two types of sauce, after mixing the sauce then the pasta was good. The good part is that - they were very concerned that i didn’t like the food, so they gave me dessert. 🥰

Conveniently located and equipped with modern facilities, Meridian Hotel Dhaka is the perfect blend of comfort, service, and sophistication. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dhaka.

I visited Meridian Restaurant today for their Iftar and dinner buffet, and trust me, this was hands down the worst buffet experience I’ve ever had in Bangladesh. From the moment I walked in, the environment felt unbearably uncomfortable. The cooling system was a complete joke—their ancient, outdated AC units struggled to function, leaving the entire floor hot and stuffy. Despite the ACs visibly running (and probably costing them a fortune in repairs), we were sweating profusely throughout the meal. It felt like dining in a furnace, not a restaurant! The food was equally disappointing. The dishes lacked flavor, variety, and freshness, as if they’d been sitting out for hours. For the price they charge, I expected quality and comfort, but instead, it felt like a total waste of money. If you’re looking for a pleasant Iftar or dinner experience, avoid this place at all costs. The only thing you’ll gain here is regret and a lighter wallet. Seriously, spend your hard-earned money elsewhere—where the AC works and the food doesn’t taste like an afterthought. Zero stars for the effort. Never again!

First visit here today and it was an amazing experience! The staff were very humble and professional. We ordered the Chicken Hyederabadi Biryani and Chicken Karahi along with butter naan and plain naan. This order is similar to what we had at Shamiyana for a comparison. Hyederabadi Biryani was much better in terms of flavour, aroma, and colour. It wasn't spicy enough though. Their chicken karahi was the best and most unique in taste. Probably cooked in mustard oil. Butter naan and plain naan were both very soft and crispy at the same time. Overall, I recommend this place for Indian food lovers

Perhaps the best restaurant I've ever been in. In anywhere. Excellent all-around. The decorations are great, food is superb, the service is extraordinary. The price is also reasonable for the service that you are getting. Every single item I tried was amazing. Tandoori Chicken is a must try. If you feel confused, ask the person who's taking your order, he's quite experienced. The internal architecture of the restaurant is one of best I've seen. They even thought to keep a place to wash your feet if you are looking for Namaz'. There's lobby like waiting area where you can sit as the staffs prepare your table. Definitely worthy of a visit, I'll definitely come back again.
Rashedun N — Google review
Tava is one of the few older restaurants in Chittagong. It was really good back in the day but recently it has gone bad. The food can only be described as merely "meh". The Thai soup was really tangy, the biryani was drenched with rose and kewda water and the butter chicken neither had butter nor chicken, just a boney-gravy mess. On a lighter note, the restaurant does offer different seating arrangements for different groups (ie family, friends, bar-buddies etc). The Chicken tandoori might be the only thing keeping this place running. It was well prepared and when paired with a soft butter Naan and sweet Lassi it will send your taste buds on a wild ride. The staff is well-mannered and friendly. The ambience is nice and the place is clean. Thatall being said, this place is expensive and you don't get a bang-for-your-buck experience. All-in-all it was a decent experience nonetheless.

Had buffet dinner in the place. It's Ok. The steaks are good for bengali pallette. BBQ'd dori and Basa fishes are good too. The chicken Mandi was good. From the dessert section i liked the Shemai, and Gulab jamun, though both were a little too sweet. Mousse cakes are ok.
Tanzil M — Google review
Last time we visited the buffet was on September 26th and today (Feb 24th 2023). Today was our 1st anniversary and coincidentally we got married at Radisson so decided to celebrate here. The waiter seated us and took our order for water and juices which were complimentary on our last visit so we thought nothing of it but saw other tables haf different water bottles. The location of the buffet was moved to another end of the same floor and was poor in decoration. The items were greatly reduced in number all items were either bengali or indian which was greatly disappointing at a 5 star hotel. Most items were chicken based with only one beef item apart from grilled steak from live kitchen. The beef item was horrible in tase and am pretty sure was some leftover mix. The prawn item tasted extremely poor. The only high point was the live kitchen grilled items and some desserts. only ice creams were melted strawberry and mango which seemed to be sourced from local stores. The quality of this buffet has gone down the drain and no staff or the manager even cared. The manager pointedly walked away from me to the kitchen when I was complaining during payment. The a couple of juices cost 20% of the buffet price which is absurd and water bottle was billed at 150 BDT despite same being available mrp at 30 BDT outside. Not recommended at all unless they change their food and service.

Regalo

Restaurant
Regalo Restaurant has carved a niche for itself in Chattogram, especially known for its exquisite beef steak offerings. With six distinct types of steaks on the menu, they pride themselves on sourcing high-quality beef to deliver an international dining experience. The ambiance is cozy and beautifully decorated, making it a delightful spot for food lovers.
Very nice Interior Decoration. Very good food. Won't say it's very expensive, the price is like usual Dhk city. But I should say the food is worth it. Enjoyed each and every food. Their food plating is very nice. Very good service.
Tanvirul H — Google review
I suppose to give them 5 Star but cut one star for a reason, why? Telling later. I was recommend by on of my colleague to visit and test Italian cousin, I’m a big fan of Italian cousins for its simplicity. So I visit there and at first site it was superb. The interior is brilliant and cozy. But I felt I was not wanted. Anyway I order a spice prawn spaghetti . Spaghetti was well cooked, the sauce is delicious but prawn seems over cooked and hard. No test at all. I order a cappuccino which is average. But there is a notice on the door which attract me “they reserved right not the server anyone deem fit”! Quite surprising, isn’t it!
Maruf R — Google review
Love the place and decorated too well. Food taste was good. Their service was excellent. This place was nice and calm when we visited. Their food price is expensive.
Sazzadur R — Google review
Unreasonably expensive. Having eaten across continents I found the pricing to be unfair and unjust and I find no justifications for the price tag. Speaking of which, I’ve found this place more expensive than Manhattan and London.
Nazmul H — Google review
The undeniable exclusivity and attention to detail the food served at Regalo consists of justifies the overpriced menu. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert options provided are a cut above the rest, making Regalo the best continental restaurant in Chittagong.
Sparsha B — Google review
Ordered Surf'nTurf, comes with tenderloin. Steak was decent (it was slightly chewy), but considering this is Chittagong, I gave it 4 star. It's almost impossible to find steak in this city other than 5 stars. The menu looked good and I will try other stuff in future.
Zakir E — Google review
Good food, pretty nice interior, friendly and helpful staff. Nicked off a star because it's quite expensive considering the portions and the items served.
Sharik — Google review
The food was good comparatively with other restaurants. Liked the Virgin Mojito. Steak was 3 out of 5 rating. Lemon Butter Chicken was good and was done right. Overall it was good experience.

The Pavilion is a simple hotel in Chittagong offering basic rooms with amenities like free Wi-Fi and breakfast. The hotel also features a restaurant where guests can dine. Room service is available, and the location provides easy access to other dining options in the area. Additionally, there are nearby attractions and shopping opportunities for visitors to explore during their stay.
Nice place to hangout with friends and family. Really good buffet they serve and every other dish is delicious. You can find local foods also Indian and Thai food there. They serve buffet lunch and buffet dinner. Number of items in buffet varies from 30 to 60 items. And pricing is also very competitive not too much high risk actually cheap compare to some other restaurants.
Md P — Google review
Food taste is average. Buffet variety is less . Serve As usual food always .
Diptta B — Google review
🤮🤮 The restaurant staff were entirely unprofessional. The prices of the food were unreasonably high compared to the quality. The food was so poorly prepared that it was barely edible. The taste of their biryani was so awful, it seemed as though none of the staff had ever actually tasted proper biryani in their lives.
Sahil A — Google review
The place is so much awesome and they have good behavior,Their buffet is mindglowing..price was 815+ vat+sc, overall 1000 BDT with drinks(glass) and water(500ml)
Iftekher M — Google review
I attended a programme that's why I had the opportunity to have the buffet dinner. Item was less than other buffet. I like it cause they didn’t increase menu by doing various chicken recipes. Dessert item specially kheer and gajar ki halwa was awesome. The place is also big to arrange for seminar or get together.

If you want to have a family outing and want to eat Chinese items, this seemed like a very good place in chittagong. The place was large and spacious. Foods were fresh and tasty. Service was really good as well.
Asif S — Google review
It is located in near GEC in front of Yunesco city center.I went to the restaurant for availing the Buffet offer. The cost is Buffet is 850 and VAT will be added with it. The place was very large. But, there is a huge crowd. Some food is average and some food is very bad. Their behaviour is good. But, in the time of Buffet, people stand back your chair. That make you awkward. Otherwise, everything is okay

A very nice place. Good food with good environment. A place to go if you want a sophisticated food experience. But a little on the expensive side. So if you want to eat Thai,Chinese or Indian food in a very well place. This is the place to go. Great place for a casual family lunch/dinner.

SugarBun Restaurant

Fast food restaurant
Cafe
Nestled in the bustling GEC Circle of Chattogram, SugarBun Restaurant is a delightful fast-food haven that caters to both local and international tastes. This vibrant eatery offers an extensive menu featuring mouthwatering burgers, pizzas, fries, and Asian-inspired dishes. With several locations under the WellFood umbrella, it’s a popular spot for families and friends looking to enjoy delicious meals at reasonable prices. While the ambiance may be simple, SugarBun provides a cozy atmosphere perfect for casual dining.
The restaurant impressed us with its unique decor, delicious chicken, and exceptional service, making for a truly memorable dining experience. The cozy and elegant atmosphere added to the perfection of the meal.
Shaif D — Google review
The only reason for a 2 star is that we found the leg of a cockroach in the rice. We showed it to the server. He apologized about it and brought a fresh serving. It is totally unexpected of such a place to have health hazards and hygiene issues like this. I commend the server and the team for getting us a fresh meal but was the leg in the food itself? If so, the entire batch of food in the kitchen is contaminated. I would urge health inspectors to ensure they are maintaining proper standards.
Mohammed S — Google review
A well known fast food restaurant in Chittagong city. There is a good selection of dishes available for every person. The atmosphere is good but tends to get crowded during the evening time and waiting time for food preparation may also bother someone if they are in a hurry.
MASUD R — Google review
I've been visiting this place since my early childhood. It was Chittagong's first proper fast food restaurant. Although it's no longer the only one, returning here brings back fond memories. The food remains just as delicious as ever!
Nizamul H — Google review
The restaurant delighted us from start to finish. Unique decor featuring books, mouthwatering bamboo chicken, and exceptional service created a truly memorable experience in this restaurant. The atmosphere of this restaurant was cozy and elegant creating a perfect setting of the meal.
Suman P — Google review
I'm really disappointed with the new Sugarbun/Well Food. It upsets me even more that I am disappointed considering how this was my favourite place. Before, Sugarbun alone had 2 floors, and RioCoffee had a separate floor. Now, all 3 floors are combined into one, which makes place feel so messy. The atmosphere felt so hectic and crowded. The menu that currently shows in here is not accurate. Meals are the same but the prices are very high. The quality and the quantity of the food doesn't match the price. I feel like the quantity they serve has become very less. The rice, French fries, even the cold drink. The kids' zone is always very disappointing. Before, there were just some small little rides that kids could go on for free, but they've removed all that and replaced them with machines that require money. It kind of feels like they were trying to copy Hideout. They also removed their ballpit, which was also very upsetting. You have to buy coins for the kids zone and 1 coin costs 50 Taka. The electricity went away for a good 5 minutes suddenly. We were playing a game on one of the machines when it went away, which turned off the game. When the electricity came back, the game restarted and they refused to let us continue the game for free because "the electricity is not our fault" I understand the electricity is not their fault but we paid for that game and not being able to continue that because of electricity is not our fault either. In short: 1) Place has become small. 2 Atmosphere is hectic. 3) Quantity of the food does not match the price. 4) Expensive. 5) No parking space.

Sugar Bun brings a refreshing concept to Bangladesh, offering an affordable hangout for young people. The Chittagong branches are clean, well-decorated, and staffed by enthusiastic employees. While the food might be simple for some, it contributes to a new and appealing dining scene in Chittagong, along with Well Food's other offerings like Rio Coffee.
Jishu B — Google review
I tried the hot chicken pasta for 375tk. It’s quite expensive but worth it. It also comes with a drink. The amount was good. If you are a light eater 2 person can share easily even though it's meant for one person.

Pizza Hut

Pizza restaurant
Fast food restaurant
Pizza Hut Chittagong is a popular chain offering delivery, carry-out, and dine-in options. It is known for its delicious pizza, wings, pasta, sides, and desserts. The restaurant has recently undergone renovation to sport a fresh look with a sharp and colorful interior. It offers well-maintained washrooms and a children's play zone. While the entry is limited to stairs and parking space is scarce, it remains a consistent favorite among the many new restaurants in Chittagong.
Pizza Hut is a good option for pizza lovers, yet not the best option. They still remain with old taste, but the price is still too high (you may call it brand value). The environment is good. Decorations are suited for photography lovers. Kids may enjoy in the play zone. Overall, it was a good place to hang out with friends and families.
Imrana M — Google review
Good pizza in chattogram. These pizzas doesn’t exactly taste as pizzahuts in middle east. But its great. Well behaved waiters and their manner have been great. Fully satisfied with everything,
MASUD R — Google review
I've been going to Pizza Hut since my childhood. Really can't complain about the quality. In Chittagong no other pizzaria can compete with pizza hut. If you are going with family of 4 try to take Set menu - 3 and upgrade one pizza to super supreme for only 199tk. The price of beverages could be less. But the pan pizza of Pizza Hut is just classic. Recommend for anyone who want to enjoy Thin Crust Pan Pizza 🍕
Aiman H — Google review
Affordable pizzas, hospitable and energetic staff, and a spacious place to chill and socialize. *Not to mention, great pizzas too*
Rifat S — Google review
The place isn't very big and it's not really set up for a chill chat. It was super loud and the AC wasn't doing its job. The pizza was awesome, but I couldn't hang out there for long because of the crazy noise and the heat.
Ashik M — Google review
Great place for Pizza, taste is great with well mannered service crew. Among many new inconsistent restaurants of Chittagong (opened in last few years) they are maintaining consistency of taste and quality for decades Recently renovated in late 2018 with new fresh look, with more compact setup. Interior is sharp and colorful. Have well maintained washroom and children play zone. Stairs is the only option of entry. Limited few parking facility.
Istiaque R — Google review
Nice food and environment. And nice service. But cold drinks price is too high. It should be less. And pasta was saltless or very minimal amount of salt. Pizza was good.
S H — Google review
Dough is not good at all, too much thick. It doesn't have good taste at all, compared to other restaurants. I tried different type of pizza from them especially Tandori & Pan pizza. Their Garlic Bread with cheese why does this even exist in their menu. 😂 But their staffs are very polite and helpful.

Transportation in Chittagong City

Getting around Chittagong City can be a little daunting if you’re new here. We can help list some of the major public transportation methods if you don’t want to rely on a car.

Nearby airports

Cox's Bazar International Airport

International airport
Domestic airport
Cox's Bazar Airport, also known as Cox's Bazar International Airport, is conveniently located just a short distance from the city center. It offers daily flights to Dhaka and other major cities in Bangladesh. Travelers can also reach Cox's Bazar by train or bus from cities like Chittagong and Dhaka. The airport provides a clean and tidy environment with wheelchair access, parking facilities, and a fenced runway.
A beautiful and peaceful airport surrounded by nature — just minutes away from the world’s longest sea beach! The new terminal looks modern and clean, with friendly staff and smooth check-in service. It’s amazing to see Cox’s Bazar developing so fast and welcoming both local and international travelers. Truly a gateway to one of the most stunning coastal destinations in Bangladesh.
Explore A — Google review
Cox’s Bazar International Airport is overall good and functional, though there’s room for improvement. The service could be better, and the airport needs more cleanliness and regular maintenance. That said, the staff are helpful and courteous. Since the airport is still under construction and development, some issues are understandable at this stage.
SHAUKAT R — Google review
Cox’s Bazar Airport may not be the biggest or fanciest, but it does the job—especially if you’re eager to get to the beach as soon as possible. Located just a short drive from the sea, it’s super convenient for travelers heading to Bangladesh’s most loved coastal city. The airport is small and simple, with a basic terminal and a relaxed vibe. Check-in and security are usually quick because it doesn’t get overly crowded like major airports. There aren’t many shops or food options, so it’s best to grab a snack before you arrive or after you leave. Still, it’s clean, easy to navigate, and the staff are usually helpful. One of the best parts? The view. Flying into or out of Cox’s Bazar gives you a beautiful glimpse of the coastline and hills—sometimes even with a golden sunset if you're lucky. The airport has been under renovation, with plans to expand and possibly welcome international flights in the future. For now, it’s a humble but functional gateway to a beautiful destination. If you go in with the right expectations, it’s actually a pretty smooth start (or end) to your beach adventure.
Tania A — Google review
As a regional airport I will vote 3/5 but as an International Airport I will vote 1.5/5. Need renovation, we are living 2025 not 1990.
Mahfujur T — Google review
Airport is quite clean having sufficient seating arrangements post security checks. Few banks offer lounges with basic facilities. MTB introduced a breastfeeding area which is praiseworthy. However, checking in becomes chaotic during rush hours because of lack of space. Also, the entrance to the airport building is quite far from where the vehicles drop you. So you have to pass a area without any roof, which becomes a major issue during rain.
Md. H — Google review
Cox’s Bazar Airport is small but clean and fairly organized, serving mainly domestic flights.Staff are friendly, and the airport is easy to navigate. However, facilities are limited—no ATM or currency exchange inside, and baggage handling is manual. The waiting area is basic, but a few decent lounges are available with snacks and Wi-Fi. One of the highlights is the beautiful view of the Bay of Bengal during takeoff or landing. Overall, it’s a functional airport with room for improvement, but it serves its purpose well for a quick entry or exit from the beach city.
Tanjina U — Google review
Cox’s Bazar Airport is small and simple, but improving. New terminal work is in progress, so the future looks promising.

Shah Amanat International Airport Area Chittagong

International airport
Psychic
Shah Amanat International Airport, located in the Patenga area of Chittagong, is the second largest airport in Bangladesh. Built during World War II, it was later converted into a domestic airport before becoming an international airport in 1990. The airport offers clean and natural surroundings with limited crowds. While there are no hotels or restaurants nearby, plenty can be found in the main city.
Location & access: Situated near Chattogram city, the airport is reasonably accessible by taxi or car. According to my experience it is“convenient”. Check-in & security: check-in processes and security/immigration are relatively efficient. Basic cleanliness & service: The terminal is generally clean, staff polite and helpful. “Clean, well-maintained … friendly staff.” Flight reliability: Cancellation rate of flights for this airport is very low (~0.07% over last 30 days) and average departure delay around 15 minutes. Overall, Shah Amanat International Airport offers a solid, functional experience for domestic and international travellers, especially given its scale and local context. If you arrive with realistic expectations (i.e., not expecting a flagship ultra-modern mega-airport), you’ll likely be fine. That said, if you value high-end amenities, wide food choice, large lounges, then you might notice some shortcomings.
Kaji S — Google review
Shah Amanat International Airport (CGP) in Chattogram is Bangladesh’s second busiest airport. It handles both domestic and international flights, mainly to the Middle East. The airport is generally clean and efficient, with quick immigration. However, facilities like restaurants and luggage services could be improved. Overall, it’s functional but needs modernization.
Mohaimin N — Google review
Shah Amanat International Airport (formerly known as M. A. Hannan International Airport) is the second largest airport in Bangladesh, located in Chittagong. About 21 percent of Bangladesh's passengers use this airport. The Bangladesh Air Force uses it as part of the BAF Zahurul Haque base. The airport was previously named M. A. Hannan International Airport after Awami League politician M. A. Hannan. Later, on 2 April 2005, the Bangladesh government renamed it after the 18th century saint Shah Amanat. The airport is capable of handling 1.5 million passengers and 6,000 tonnes of cargo annually. It is also the base for the country's largest pilot training center, the Arirang Flying School, based in South Korea. It is the second largest airport in Bangladesh. Although the airport's infrastructure has been modernized, overall facilities are still limited compared to international standards. Although it is an important gateway for both domestic and international flights, the weaknesses of some basic services and inefficiency of management disappoint passengers. Although initiatives have been taken to increase passenger and cargo services in recent years, some problems still exist. The Ansar force, which is kept as security, shows very bad behavior to passengers and relatives accompanying passengers in this area. They also extort money in various cases. Passengers suffer due to this.
Anup M — Google review
The airport works fine for quick travel, but it needs more improvements. Waiting lounges are limited, food options are very few, and sometimes the baggage claim takes longer than expected. However, the staff are cooperative, and security checks are done properly. With some upgrades, it can become much better.
Tawhid A — Google review
Visited Shah Amanat International Airport recently and was thoroughly impressed. The staff were professional and efficient, the facilities were clean, and the overall experience was smooth. Great connectivity to various destinations. Proud to see such a world-class airport in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Would definitely travel through here again!
Shajib R — Google review
As a frequent flyer between Chattogram and Dhaka, Shah Amanat International Airport has become a familiar hub for me, and my recent visit today (August 19, 2025) reaffirmed why I keep coming back. The airport has a certain charm-compact yet functional, with a welcoming vibe that reflects Chattogram's warmth. Check-in counters are generally efficient, though peak hours can get crowded-pro tip: arrive early to breeze through. The staff are courteous, and I’ve always appreciated the local touch in their service. Security checks are thorough but quick, and the waiting areas are clean, with decent seating. The food options could use a bit more variety (more local delicacies, please!), but the existing cafes serve decent coffee and snacks to keep you fueled. The free Wi-Fi is a lifesaver for last-minute work or catching up on messages, though the signal can be spotty in some corners. Boarding is usually smooth, and the views of Chattogram’s lush landscape during takeoff are always a treat. One small gripe: the parking area could be better organized, as it felt a bit chaotic today. Overall, Shah Amanat is a reliable airport that gets the job done with a local flair. It’s not flashy, but it’s got everything you need for a hassle-free journey. Keep improving, and I’ll keep flying!
Arafat R — Google review
Shah Amanat International Airport serves as the gateway to Bangladesh’s bustling port city, Chattogram. As the country’s second-largest airport, it plays a vital role in connecting the southeastern region to both domestic and international destinations.
Tanvir M — Google review
Shah Amanat International Airport, located in Patenga, Chattogram, is Bangladesh’s second-largest international airport, serving over 1.6 million passengers annually. The airport features a single terminal divided into international and domestic sections. The international terminal offers amenities such as a duty-free shop and snack bar, while the domestic terminal has limited facilities. Lounges like the Air Lounge and UCB Imperial Lounge are available, providing a comfortable space for travelers. Transportation to and from the airport is facilitated by car or taxi, with a parking facility accommodating up to 400 vehicles. While the airport has undergone modernization efforts, certain areas require improvement. Facilities are limited, and cleanliness standards need enhancement. Additionally, reports have highlighted issues such as passenger harassment and extortion, particularly affecting first-time travelers and migrant workers. In summary, Shah Amanat International Airport serves as a vital gateway for travelers to and from Chattogram. However, enhancements in infrastructure, amenities, and passenger services are necessary to elevate the overall travel experience.
