Visitors can take a scenic drive along the coast from Laboni Beach to Inani Beach, about 35 kilometers away, where they can enjoy various water sports like surfing, jet skiing, and parasailing. Visited Laboni Beach in Cox’s Bazar this morning, and it was absolutely breathtaking! 🌞 The beach is clean, serene, and offers the perfect relaxing vibe—ideal for unwinding or taking a peaceful stroll along the shore. Unlike some crowded beaches, this one felt calm and spacious, making it a true gem. One of the coolest highlights? Watching airplanes land nearby since the airport is close by—it’s like a bonus show while you enjoy the waves! Whether you’re a solo traveler, a couple, or a family, Laboni Beach has something for everyone.
Ram B — Google review
Laboni Beach is one of the most popular and accessible beach points in Cox’s Bazar—and for good reason. Located close to the town center, it’s the go-to spot for both locals and tourists looking to enjoy the sea without traveling far. The beach stretches wide with soft golden sand and crashing waves. It’s perfect for early morning walks, sunset views, or just sitting and soaking in the breeze. You’ll find beach chairs, umbrellas for rent, and plenty of local vendors offering snacks, jewelry, and handmade crafts. What makes Laboni Beach special is its lively energy. In the late afternoon, the beach becomes vibrant with families, couples, and groups of friends enjoying the scenery. Horse rides, beach bikes, and small photo booths add to the fun, especially for kids. That said, since it’s a central point, it can get quite crowded, especially during holidays. The beach is generally clean, but more upkeep could make it even better. Overall, Laboni Beach offers the classic Cox’s Bazar experience—open skies, salty air, and the sound of waves. It’s not the quietest beach, but it’s full of life and always buzzing with a warm, coastal charm.
Tania A — Google review

It’s less crowded, allowing for a more peaceful and enjoyable experience. The service is excellent, with friendly and attentive staff ensuring your needs are met. The beach is also safe for swimming, making it ideal for families and solo travelers alike. Overall, Laboni Beach offers a wonderful combination of cleanliness, tranquility, good service, and safety, making it an excellent choice for your next beach outing. Additionally you can enjoy Airplane ✈️ landing as the airport is near to it.

Radiant Fish World, located in Coxs Bazar city, is an international quality fish aquarium offering a vibrant underwater experience for nature enthusiasts and families. The aquarium showcases a variety of sea and freshwater fish species, making it a perfect destination for ocean and marine life lovers. Visitors can also enjoy 3D movies and purchase souvenirs while exploring the grand collections of different fish species, sharks, crabs, and more.
Radiant Fish World in Cox’s Bazar is an amazing place to explore marine life. It is the first live fish aquarium in Bangladesh, showcasing a variety of colorful fish and other sea creatures in beautifully designed tanks. The place is clean, well-maintained, and has a pleasant atmosphere. There are also educational displays that make it interesting for children and adults alike. The ticket price is reasonable for the experience. It is a great spot to visit with family and friends, especially for those who love the ocean.
Murshed R — Google review
Only place to visit in Cox's Bazar. Children will definitely enjoy. I liked the fish spa, this was unique. Warning: I was scammed by my auto driver purchasing tickets from outside. You can buy at aquarium and can choose different packages.
Zahirul I — Google review
There are lots of fishes and other marine life present there for exhibition. Honestly speaking it's a great place to bring kids. They'll love it the most. A few marine creatures like octopus and starfish were missing but still it's a great place to be with family if you have kids.
Md. S — Google review
Honestly speaking, I didn’t expect much but it was fun and enjoyable. The decorations are also praiseworthy. You can view different kinds of sea creatures here and also take photos with them. From normal fishes to Piranhas and Sharks, there’s a good collection here. Though for some reason there was no Octopus. Highly recommended for having a good time and passing the time (specially if you're waiting for the bus).
Ibnus S — Google review
The world of fish. There are various kinds of fishes. Yeah, not much, but as Bangladesh this is enough to entertain you. Beside fish, there are lots of games, 3D videos, 9D Videos, Mirror maze etc. If you want to watch Videos, I prefer to watch 9D. Yeah finally as usual my last line, you can visit with your friends and family.
Fuad H — Google review
Today I went to Radiant Fish World in Cox’s Bazar with my kid. It was a fun trip. There were many colorful and unique fish in clean tanks. My kid loved watching the big fish and bright corals. The place was neat, and the people working there were kind. It’s a nice spot for families and a great way for kids to see and learn about sea life.
Md O — Google review
This place was pretty underwhelming, but I guess it's mainly for kids but even then it's in shambles. Most of the fish on display seemed pretty much dead and lifeless. Some of the displays didn't even have any fish in them although there was a proper description of the species given on the placard. I'll give props to them for the idea, but it seems very poorly managed (maybe budget issues). There was one part where one goes through an aquarium and can see the fishes (at least the few that are left) swimming about and above the people. At the end of the journey there was a "9-D" ride (additional payment) which was fun. Overall, if you're there with small kids (1-5 yrs) it's worth a visit I guess.
Mahbub N — Google review
The variety of fish and sea creatures was impressive — from colorful tropical fish to larger species — and the way they have recreated different underwater environments is fascinating. Walking through the glass tunnel felt like stepping into another world. It’s a unique experience in Bangladesh, and honestly, it exceeded my expectations.

There are very few people on this beach compared to the main beach in Cox's Bazar, which is why I like it more on this list. Where there are many people, there is a lot of noise and shouting. These are actually Not worth enjoying the beach. This beach is relatively quiet and there is very little noise here, which is why you might also like this beach 🏖️.

Kolatoli Beach is one of the most vibrant and tourist-friendly beaches in Cox’s Bazar. It’s located straight down the main Kolatoli Road after Dolphin Circle, heading toward the sea. This is not the road where Sayeman and Ramada are — that’s a side road to the left. For Kolatoli Beach, just go straight from Dolphin Circle, and you’ll reach the beach entrance. 🌊 Beach Vibe & Experience Kolatoli is known for its lively, colorful atmosphere. The long stretch of golden sand and crashing Bay of Bengal waves make it a great spot for everything — from laid-back beach walks to thrilling water sports. 🚴‍♂️ Activities Available ATV bike rides (very popular here) Horse rides along the shoreline Jet skiing and parasailing (seasonal) Sunset photography (you’ll see tons of tripods and drone action) Local street food, beach snacks, and fresh coconut water everywhere 🗺️ How to Get There Just follow Kolatoli Road straight from Dolphin Circle — the road leads directly to the main beach entrance. It’s easily reachable by rickshaw, auto-rickshaw (CNG), or even on foot if you’re staying nearby. 🍴 Food Nearby There’s a mix of food stalls, beachside vendors, and restaurants close by. You can grab a snack on the sand or walk back a bit to find places like Handi, Salt Bistro, and other popular local eateries. 🧹 Cleanliness & Crowd Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Maintained decently, especially in the mornings Crowd: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Very crowded during afternoons and weekends, but that adds to the fun if you enjoy energy and buzz 📸 Best Time to Visit: Go around 4–6 PM for the perfect sunset view — the sky turns into a beautiful canvas of orange, pink, and purple. It’s also cooler and more relaxing during that time. Overall Rating: 8.5/10 Kolatoli Beach is the heart of Cox’s Bazar’s beach scene — lively, scenic, and full of activity. Great for families, friends, or even solo travelers looking for fun and ocean views.

Burmese Market

Mentioned on

Market
The Burmese Market, also known as Chata Market, is a popular destination for visitors near the sea beach area of Coxs Bazar. While it used to offer items imported from Myanmar, most informal trades have ceased due to the Rohingya crises. However, some shop owners now source products from Dhaka and Chattogram. Visitors can find a variety of Burmese goods such as pickles, shoes, nuts, clothes, and cosmetics at this old market near Laboni Beach.
inconspicuous little place at the top of the market closest to the main road. Wonderful man working there, so kind and considerate and enough of English. Serves the best ice coffee I’ve had in Bangladesh 🇧🇩 ☕️

I bought Dry fish from here. Their Dry fish prices are lower than other shops. As a Tourist They Are Good Product Selling to us.
Mehedi H — Google review
there you can found some authenticate original items like - jewellery, Burmese peackle, cosmetics etc but Auto/rickshaw rent is too much high. Before buying anything you should bargain. There are many fake products with original products, you have to choose carefully.
Mashnun — Google review
Burmese market located in Cox's Bazar, ( one of the longest sea beach in the world) is famous for different and varieties of cloths ( especially Rakhain or burmese cloths, chocolate, acher) are qualityful. These clothes are chosen all over the bangladesh and other countries. Their sellers are so cute and beautiful. But you have to burgain to buy anything from their store. At all, all the things are well-known to the people.
Å F — Google review
All types of Burmese acher and cloth is available here but careful to purchase Burmese acher due to various insects is in side these acher. Better you purchase local made delicious acher and other things. One more thing before purchase anything just bargain.
Saiful M — Google review
The Burmese Market, also known as Chata Market, is a great place for buying Burmese products like pickles, shoes, nuts, cloths, cosmetics, etc. They're some shops, which sell dry fish here. Items, made of snails are also famous here. Some restaurants are also available at West of this market.
Saiful I — Google review
These shops are very close to the sea beach area of Cox’s Bazar. Thousands of internal visitors go to these so-called Burmese shops. These shops used to keep some items imported from Myanmar through local importers or through smuggling. But most of these informal trades have been stopped since Rohingya crises immersed again. However, one shop owner told us when we went to his shop that now he brings most items from Dhaka and Chattogram but visitors thought these are Burmese products. Although some of his items were imported from Thailand. We bought some seashells and Cowries (কড়ি) for fun. These shops also sell jewelleries made in seashells and stones but the salesman asked quite high price. However, we bought some food items mostly pickles and seashells & cowries. I thought their livelihood depend on our spending so, I spent some money buying those items.
Hannan B — Google review
Good to buy products at a cheap price, hope you are good at bargaining as they sometimes might ask for too unrealistic price.

Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach is truly a breathtaking place with its golden sands, rolling waves, and stunning sunsets. The natural beauty is unmatched and makes every visit memorable. However, the beach is not always clean, which takes away from its charm. We all tried to clean up the area during our visit to make it more beautiful, because this treasure of Bangladesh deserves care and respect. If everyone contributes a little, Cox’s Bazar can become even more spectacular.

The great beach of Bangladesh. Went there in a group. To make our trip more enjoyable, we hired a local singer who sang very well. It’s a great feeling of sea beach, live songs, and moonlit night. The only issue is that the beach is getting crowded every year

Cox's Bazar Beach is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. The sound of the waves, the endless stretch of golden sand, and the vast blue ocean meeting the sky at the horizon it’s truly magical. I loved walking barefoot along the shore with the breeze on my face and watching the sun slowly melt into the sea during sunset. It’s a Hindu temple located in Moheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar. To reach the temple, you need to climb a hill using a staircase for a short distance. After arriving at the temple, if you continue to the top of the hill, you’ll be amazed by the mesmerizing view from there. There is a shrine at the hilltop. We didn’t have much time when we visited the place! Otherwise, we would have explored the stunning landscape in more detail.

I recently visited the Adinath Temple in Moheshkhali, and it was a truly memorable experience. This is a must-see spot, especially for those from the Hindu community visiting Cox’s Bazar. The temple area has a peaceful spiritual vibe, along with beautiful surroundings that make it worth exploring. We reached Moheshkhali by speed boat (Tk. 130 per person) and then hired an auto for Tk. 700, which took us around all the famous spots, including the temple. I only wish I had taken more photos to capture the charm of the area. Highly recommend visiting if you want to experience both spirituality and the scenic beauty of Moheshkhali.

Cox's Bazar: where the horizon kisses the Bay of Bengal in an endless embrace. It's not just a beach; it's a living, breathing entity stretching further than the eye can comfortably conceive. Imagine a ribbon of golden sand, unfurling for 120 kilometers, a stage where the rhythmic roar of the waves composes nature's grand symphonyyy. But Cox's Bazar whispers secrets beyond its famed length. It's in the fiery sunsets that paint the sky with hues you didn't know existed, the air thick with the salty tang of the sea and the earthy scent of nearby hill, It's in the bustling fish markets, a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds, where the day's catch gleams like scattered jewels Very nice place. Venture beyond the shoreline, and you'll discover a tapestry woven with the vibrant culture of local communities. Their resilience echoes in the crashing waves, their warmth radiates like the tropical sun. Explore the hidden pagodas nestled in the hills, each a testament to a rich history, or lose yourself in the tranquility of Maheshkhali Island, a world away from the lively beach. Visitors come from all around to witness its mesmerizing views, including the unique and magnificent sunset at dusk.

Located about 25–30 km from Cox’s Bazar town, it’s known for its long stretch of golden sand, unique coral stones, and peaceful environment. If you’re looking to relax away from the hustle and bustle, Inani is the perfect spot. The best time to visit is during sunset—the view is absolutely stunning. Inani Beach is a quiet and beautiful beach near Cox’s Bazar. It is famous for its wide sandy shore and rows of coral stones. The water is clean and the view of the sea is very relaxing. It is less crowded than the main Cox’s Bazar beach, so a peaceful time can be enjoyed. The sunset here is very beautiful. Overall, it’s a great place for nature lovers and those who want a calm seaside experience. In Inani, there are some nicely decorated restaurants, but the food prices are comparatively high. So, to me, it seems reasonable to carry food when going to Inani.

The view from the hill at Himchori is absolutely stunning! From the top, you get a breathtaking view of the endless sea on one side and the lush green hills on the other. It’s a perfect spot for nature lovers and photography. The fresh air and peaceful surroundings make it a great escape from the busy city side of Cox’s Bazar. However, the place can get a bit crowded during peak hours, and some areas could be better maintained. Still, the natural beauty and the amazing hilltop view make it a must-visit when in Cox’s Bazar.

Himchari is one of the most attractive natural spot near Cox’s Bazar, located just a short drive from the main town. The area is well known for it's combination of Green Hills, Sainik view points, and the small but charming natural fountain. From the top of the hills, you can enjoy a panoromic view of the world's largest sandy beach. the Bay of Bengal, and the winding coastal road. It is a wonderful place for photography, family trips, or simply spending some quiet time in nature. the Himchhori fountain is seasonal, flowing beautifully during a monsoon and rainy months, creating a refreshing and lively atmosphere. During the dry season, the water can be very limited, but surrounding greenery and hills still make the visit worthwhile. The environment feels peaceful compared to the busy and often crowded Cox’s Bazar beaches. Pros: Beautiful scenery, excellent viewpoint, fishing natural fountain, and for photography. Cons: Fountain is seasonal, paths can be slippery in rain, and facilities are very basic. Overall, Himchari fountain and hill is a must visit for nature lovers, adventure seekers, and anyone looking for a short but memorable escape from the town. Construction of the infrastructure is ongoing to increase the facilities. Entrance gate, stairs, new watch tower is under construction.

I miss the old 90's him chorizo. The beach was covered by dead shell of corals snells. The rain trees the coconut tress and green blue clean sea water. But still its beautiful during sun sets

Visiting Himchari was one of the most refreshing experiences I’ve ever had in Cox’s Bazar. The natural beauty of the hills meeting the sea felt truly magical. The sound of the waves crashing below, the cool breeze from the hills, and the green surroundings made it a perfect escape from the busy city life. Climbing up to the Himchari viewpoint was totally worth it — from the top, the endless stretch of blue ocean looked absolutely stunning. Watching the sunset from Himchari was the highlight of the trip; the sky turned golden and painted the sea in warm colors. If you love nature, calmness, and a bit of adventure, Himchari is the perfect place to visit. It’s peaceful, photogenic, and full of positive energy.

Not recommended for older people as well as who travel with kids (1-5 year). But the view from the top is breath-taking, you can enjoy wide range of full sea view from the top. There is a waterfalls as well in the right side from the entrance, one thing to mention the waterfalls is artificial and there is a natural one but there will be no water without any heavy rain!

🌿 A Hidden Gem in Cox's Bazar! 🌊 Himchori Fountain and Hill is a beautiful escape from the crowded parts of Cox's Bazar. The natural waterfall is small but comes to life during the rainy season — and today, with the rain gently falling, the entire area looked magical. The sound of water, mist in the air, and lush greenery all around made it feel like a scene from a movie. The hike up the hill was refreshing, and the panoramic view from the top was absolutely stunning — especially with the clouds touching the hills and the sea blending into the horizon. There's a lovely viewing point that's perfect for enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Local shops nearby offer snacks and water, and the area is fairly clean and tourist-friendly. ⭐ Highly recommended, especially on a rainy day like today — nature at its best! A perfect spot to relax, take photos, and enjoy the raw beauty of Bangladesh.

Handi (Cox's Bazar Branch) is a popular restaurant known for its variety of North Indian specialties and local traditional meals. With branches in fashionable places across Bangladesh, including Cox's Bazaar, it offers a healthy environment and top-class service. The menu features a mix of Indian, Asian, and local food for breakfast, lunch, and supper.
Great place to have great food. Price is also reasonable. Not much chaotic like other restaurants around. Shooting music compliments the ambience. Most of the time had Hyderabadi biryani there. Kebabs are also super delicious.
Swarup A — Google review
Handi provides variety of food at their different branch.Tried their hydrabadi biriyani anf faloda.Food taste was good but there is scope of improvement on taste and service attitude.
K T — Google review
The food is okay. It wasn't the best but it was okay. The service is good. They had to go beef that looks interested pretty interesting. The borta was pretty good. The beef brunette was also pretty good. when we went in they didn't have some items we wanted. But since it's been normal thing in these types of restaurants. So I guess I can't hold it against them. But I wasn't able to try everything I wanted to try. The service was nice and servers are pretty cool with us.
TC C — Google review
This was by far the worst Hyderabadi Biryani I have ever had. The portion size was very small compared to the price. The mutton was not properly cooked, and instead of meat pieces, most of it was just bones.
Nafiza I — Google review
Price High, Food Quality not good and quantity very small. Service too much bad.
Md. T — Google review
Not a good experience. Against value, their food and service don't make the cut. We ordered their famous Hyderabadi Biryani, which was style over substance. The mutton was extremely undercooked, and flavours were close to being too much. The Achari beef was another Item we tried. It was a traditional Mejbaan rather than Achari. Their Custard also had no fruits other than the "cherry on top". We got served almost 45 minutes late, which translates into loss of time in a tourist spot. I would recommend to steer clear of it. There's a lot more other good places.
Asif I — Google review
Have a gulp with the best biriyani they serve. Don't miss the Faluda (a kind of dessert item) after a tummy-full lunch. Do they provide appetisers? Maybe or maybe not. If yes, don't miss out anyway. The atmosphere is quite busy, though, and you have to show some patience to enjoy your meal once you get your service. Go, Have, Enjoy…
Syed A — Google review
Previously I've visited Handi Dhanmondi branch, but this is the first time that I visited here in the Cox Bazar branch. We ordered items of many varieties - Hyderabadi biryani, bhaat, tomato bhorta, kala vuna, loitta fry and cashew nut Salad, weird combination right? 🤔 Hyderabadi biryani is the most popular dish here and it didn't disappoint. I normally don't like Hyderabadi biryani and never order this, but this time my husband ordered and I tasted. And to be honest, I liked it. Bhaat bhorta, kala vuna seemed average. Didn't felt anything special here. So wouldn't recommend. I mean it wasn't bad that I couldn't eat it or anything but there wasn't anything special about it either. The taste was okayish. The loitta fry was really good and I can eat it like chips all day. Doesn't even feel like I'm eating a fish! Finally the cashew nut salad was really really good. Loved it a lot! It was crunchy exactly as I love my cashew nut salad. But unfortunately most restaurants can make it like that.

The locals said this is the original mermaid cafe whether the original one was on the marine drive road. Cox's bazaar is a place full of scam from auto drivers to hotel owners. We went there at 9:30 pm and received our food at 11 pm. Where we saw other table being served who came even after us. And very over priced. One star given for the plating. Otherwise big NO!

Mermaid Cafe in Cox's Bazaar is a hidden gem that transports you to a cinematic cafe setting, reminiscent of those laid-back scenes in a Hawaiian movie. The overall ambiance is a winner, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. What adds an extra layer of charm is the genuinely friendly and amiable staff, making you feel right at home. They greeted and served us with beaming smile the whole time. Our culinary journey kicked off with the Tom Yum soup, and it was a revelation of flavors. The soup struck a perfect balance, with each spoonful delivering a delightful combination of savory and spicy notes. It's the kind of dish that leaves a lasting impression, showcasing the chef's skill in creating a memorable taste experience. Now, let's talk about the Seafood Platter – a visual and gastronomic delight. The platter presented a tempting array of fresh seafood that not only looked impressive but tasted equally fantastic. The chef's attention to quality ingredients and meticulous preparation was evident in every bite, making it a standout dish on the menu. We finished our dinner with Coconut sorbet, a tropical delight that captures the essence of the region's local coconuts. This frozen treat is a refreshing escape, offering a burst of coconut flavor that feels authentic and true to the area. The natural sweetness of the coconut shines through, creating a harmonious balance that's not overly sugary. Mermaid Cafe, with its unique blend of a captivating atmosphere, warm hospitality, and standout dishes like the Tom Yum soup, Seafood Platter, and Coconut sorbet stands as a must-visit spot in Cox's Bazaar. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this cafe promises a delightful escape into a world of great vibes and even better food. It's a culinary journey that lingers in your memory, inviting you to return for more. I will visit again for sure. All the best and keep up the great work.

We had a poor food experience at this renowned place. Took their cream of mushroom soup. It was average. Also took their grilled chicken with mushroom sauce. It was very poor. No exceptional taste, on top of which the size of the chicken was laughable. We also took their mashed potato. It was well mashed, had jo lumps, but was very dry. It wasn’t creamy at all.

I stopped by Salt Bistro & Cafe in Cox’s Bazar, and it turned out to be a really good spot for comfort food. The vibe was casual and welcoming, a nice place to relax after a long day by the beach. Their pasta with chicken on top was delicious—the pasta was cooked just right, creamy and flavorful, and the chicken added the perfect touch. The pizza was also a winner: fresh, cheesy, and baked with a nice crisp crust that made every bite enjoyable. Service was friendly, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to just sit back and enjoy the food. If you’re in Cox’s Bazar and craving pasta or pizza, Salt Bistro & Cafe is definitely worth checking out.

Rupishi Bangla is a bengali cuisine restaurant in Cox’s Bazar... The interior and ambience was good enough...Food taste was average and quantity was good...Serving and price was okay...
Sheikh O — Google review
I think this is one of the best Bangali dish restaurant at Cox's Bazar. We ordered Coral fish, Mash Potato (Alu Bhorta), Dal, Loitta Fish Fried and Plain Rice. What I loved the most was Alu bhorta and dal. I never liked Dal Alu bhorta like this. And then I liked Loitta Fish. It was soft and delicious 😋. Then the coral fish. I don't know, but in my test bar I didn't like the coral fish that much. But you can eat this. If I rate these foods you can understand the test. Firstly, Coral Fish, I will give it 6 out of 10. 8 out of 10 for Alu Bhorta. 9 out of 10 for Dal. 7 out of 10 for Loitta Fish Fried. Also we ordered Doi (Yogurt). I will rate the doi 8 out of 10. Yeah, overall the food quality is 4.5 rating out of 5. Also the decorations are fine. Not much trendy or fancy. But you will like it. Finally, You can dine with your family and friends.

Best value for money bangla hotel. Huge food options, decent taste, not very crowdy, price is reasonable compared to other beach & sea view restaurants.

The food is great here. Prices are a bit cheaper than other hotels nearby. They're quite clean. Had loitta fish fry, coral fry, shrimp vuna. They gave complimentary chatni as well. It was a tasty. The portion is very big. If you order one fish item it'll be easily sharable within two people. It was close to the hotel we were staying at. Also their castard was nice too.

This is the second branch of JhauBon Restaurant. Once well-known in Cox’s Bazar for its food and service, but unfortunately the quality seems to have gone down over time. I visited for breakfast and found most of the items on the menu unavailable, which was very disappointing. I had to settle for paratha, lentil curry, poached egg, beef with potatoes, and tea. The experience, however, was far from satisfying. The poached egg was broken, as can be clearly seen in the picture, the beef curry was overloaded with oil and bones, and the tea tasted very poor — even roadside tea stalls serve better. On top of that, even though air conditioning was available, they didn’t turn it on, and the overall environment was not satisfactory at all. Overall, the standard is nowhere near what JhauBon used to be known for. The management really needs to focus on improving food quality, service, and environment if they want to regain their reputation.

Had a fantastic experience at this remarkable restaurant near Sugandha/Laboni Beach Point. We took coral fish curry, loitta fry, mix veg and daal. Every item was delicious, and they provided us with generous refills each time we asked for it. They served complementary boroi er achar and salad, which increased our appetite. We also had sweetcurd afterwards, which, I think, could've been better. The restaurant was crowded but quite spacious, the atmosphere was decent with excellent service from the waiters. I found there foods to be affordable and tasteful. I'd certainly revisit them for trying other items.

Quite spacious restaurant. Food is good, much better that the so-called Poushi. Had only breakfast with Parata, Booter Daal and vaji. Booter daal , which is called 'Chonar Daal' (Peoplw of Cox's Bazar does not know the name as Booter daal), was stewed with mutton bones, can be surprisingly spicy for a breakfast dish. The parata and veggies ware alright.

Shalik Restaurant & Biriyani House is a popular dining spot conveniently located near Dolphin Mor in Cox's Bazar. The restaurant offers a wide range of food choices and operates 24 hours, making it perfect for satisfying late-night cravings. The establishment is known for its excellent food quality, particularly the halim and noodles, which are highly recommended.
I tried out their top dishes, and everything was seriously yummy. You should definitely give the Halim, Kala Vhuna, Chonar Daal, Loitta fry, and the Vhorta platter a shot!

This place is very bad with the food. Extremely oily (see photos). I ordered butternun with mixed vegetables. The amount of mixed vegetables was very less for $65 and the quality was not anywhere near the price. You'll get better quality in any less expensive restaurants. The vegetable was not enough for the whole nun so I asked for a refill but they said they don't refill and I'll have to pay extra. Although the waiter brought me "some" vegetables to finish the remaining half of the nun and didn't charge me. So I gave a little tip. Nice atmosphere and good options.

Here is a balanced 250-word review for Shalik Restaurant, incorporating the note about prices being a bit high and suggesting they be lowered: I recently visited Shalik Restaurant and overall, it was quite an enjoyable experience. The ambiance is welcoming and tastefully decorated, offering a comfortable setting for casual dining or small gatherings. The staff were attentive and courteous, making the service smooth and pleasant throughout my visit. The menu features a variety of dishes showcasing authentic flavors, with particular highlights being their signature kebabs and biryani, both of which were expertly prepared and rich in taste. The ingredients felt fresh, and the presentation was appealing, reflecting a high level of culinary skill. However, I found the prices to be noticeably on the higher side compared to similar establishments in Dhaka. While I appreciate that quality comes at a cost, the current price point might be a bit steep for regular visits. A slight reduction or more value-oriented options could attract a broader customer base and improve overall accessibility.

Went there with my colleagues and stayed adjacent to that restaurant. We went there for most of our lunches and dinners. You might think it's a bit expensive, but trust me it's value for money. I would rate most of their food items above average. We tried 'Shalik Special Fried Rice (You Should Try)'- 7/10 , 'Tondur + Halim (Worth it)' 8/10, 'Shalik Sea Food Fried Rice (A must try for seafood lovers)' - 8/10 along with other seafood items and 'Beef Khichuri (Not that good)' 5/10. They got three of their branches within few blocks and serving their customers for quite a long time. I just shared my experience. Happy Vacation.

I couldn’t find my preferred dishes as per the menu. Most of the items were unavailable. Whatever we ended up ordering tasted average at best. Despite the hype around the place, it didn’t live up to expectations. Sometimes we fall for big names and end up disappointed, while good experiences come from the most unexpected places. I didn’t enjoy it. Their showiness seemed to outweigh the quality of the food. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Had a wonderful experience at Shalik Restaurant in Cox’s Bazar! The food was absolutely delicious — rich in flavor, fresh, and beautifully presented. The ambiance was cozy and relaxing, making it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a meal with family or friends after a day by the beach. What truly stood out was the top-notch service — the staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. The entire place was clean, well-decorated, and gave off a warm, welcoming vibe. If you’re visiting Cox’s Bazar and looking for a great dining experience, I highly recommend Shalik Restaurant. Definitely planning to return on my next trip!

It’s near about dolphin more. I go there in the evening and take nola halim with porata in there. In Cox’s Bazar for nola halim It's is the best place. The service are really good and perfect. A Nola halim can share 3 person with 2 porata.

The most lively place to visit in the whole coxs bazar. Food, service and ambience was so amazing that I fell in love with the place. Their food was very affordable and their live fish section was fresh. Koral BBQ was so delicious! Although the haleem portion was 1:2 but felt like 5 person can have it. Their service was greater than most of the 5 star I have ever been on. So friendly and so good! Might be I found a lucky waiter ;) (young kid)! I will again visit if I get the chance to plan another tour to Coxs Bazar!

Restaurant
Poushee Restaurant is a renowned establishment in Coxs Bazar, known for its rich culinary heritage and authentic Bangladeshi flavors. With over a decade of legacy, it has consistently provided an exceptional dining experience, attracting patrons year after year. Situated very close to Cox's Bazar Sea beach, the restaurant offers budget-friendly meals with a variety of local dishes. Despite the broken road leading to the restaurant, its proximity to the beach makes it a convenient dining option for visitors.
Great food, specially their Pomfret and Beef kala Bhuna, the vortas are also very good. They give a complimentary jujube pickle. Among many flashy restaurants, this one provides good food in reasonable price. Its very famous for this factor.
Ahtesham N — Google review
Not all items were up to the mark. The beef kala bhuna was not properly cooked. Bhorta bhaji were so so. They did not run the AC when I visited. There were flies and insects. When I mentioned it they turned off the light to minimize the issue.

One of the best budget friendly restaurants in cox's bazar. My point of view, each and every time I visited the restaurant, I felt the same experience. In one word, that is the best restaurant in cox's bazaar tour. My most favorite manu loita fry, although all food is fresh & healthy. Reasonable price & stuff behavior is awesome.

I had lunch here. But the food was terrible in taste, I’ve had food at PousheE before. But I think they really need to change their chef here as this guy is not as experienced as the one in the main branch. This place is extremely touristy and not worth the hype

Koyla Restaurant Cox’s

Restaurant
Koyla Restaurant Cox’s is a popular dining spot in Cox's Bazar, offering a variety of traditional Indian and local dishes. The restaurant serves lunch, supper, and late-night meals with a focus on halal foods. It is known for its flavorful BBQ options, especially the Red Snapper, garlic naan, and onion salad.
You are an adventurous food enthusiast drawn to vibrant flavors, scenic views, and lively ambiance, seeking memorable dining experiences. Best places for Indian food in the city. If you like spicy food, you should go there. The sitting arrangement on the 1st floor is great with a nice view of the longest beach in the world. They also have a nice garden with bamboo cottages to sit with comfort, watching live music too. Disclaimer: DON'T ever visit any places based on my experiences. If I like any items that doesn't mean that you will like it too. So, PLEASE, Keep that in mind.
Rubaiath R — Google review
I recently visited Koyla Restaurant in Cox's Bazar, located near Laboni sea beach. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, and we ordered fish BBQ, chicken BBQ, and butter naan. While the ambiance was nice, the service was incredibly slow. We waited about 1.5 hours for our food to arrive, and considering how hungry we were, we almost decided to leave. I understand that fish BBQ can take some time, but the chicken BBQ shouldn't have taken that long. When it finally arrived, the chicken was dry and overly spicy, though the fish BBQ was the only dish that tasted good. Despite the long wait, the staff did serve the food politely, but by then, it was already too late. We started dining around 9 PM and didn't finish until after 11:30 PM, which was far later than we anticipated. While the restaurant has a nice view of the sea and the outdoor seating would be lovely in the winter, they really need to improve their timing. Additionally, the prices were on the higher side. They do offer an air-conditioned section, which is a plus, but I hope they can work on speeding up their service.

The seafood soup was too spicy because they crushed a lot of pepper in it. The grilled squid was not like grilled at all.It was average. But the grilled fish was so fresh. We also ordered fried rice.It was average too. It took more than an hour to serve food.
Nasrin A — Google review
Best seafood in Cox's Bazar for sure 👍 But the place gets a bit scary in the evening, as many drunk people keep roaming around. It's a bit of a weird situation for families and couples. And service is very slow but the food is totally worth it.

The food had a lack of salt but their service is really good. Food was a little pricey but the location and atmosphere covers for it. Overall if you want to grab a quick lunch or dinner, koyla is a nice restaurant if you're feeing to spend some extra money.

Staff behaviour very rude. Specially the manager doesn’t have proper communication skills at all. He is very disrespectful to customers. He doesn’t deserve to work as a manager at a beautiful place like Koyla. Its Coxs bazaar he need to speak to guests with a cheerful manner.

The restaurant also serves seafood dishes for those looking to enjoy the flavors of the sea. In addition to its culinary offerings, Poushee Hotel & Restaurant is known for its pleasant location and inviting atmosphere.
Poushee Hotel & Restaurant is a local institution in Cox's Bazar, celebrated primarily for its authentic and budget-friendly Bangladeshi cuisine. It is a must-visit for travelers seeking to experience the true flavor of the region, particularly its seafood and traditional vorta (mashed dishes).
Shafiqul C — Google review
Tried three different set menus at Poushee Hotel & Restaurant which are rupchada curry, beef kala bhuna, and local chicken curry. Allover set included chingri bhuna, mixed bharta, daal, loitta fish fry, and plum chutney. While the variety was impressive and the presentation decent, the overall taste was average. Nothing particularly stood out, but it’s a decent option if you’re looking for a traditional spread with multiple items in one meal. Good for a casual local dining experience and there’s room for improvement in flavor.
Obidul I — Google review
Just completed my lunch with Poushee, first of all their food is absolutely delicious and side dish was also mouthwatering like palm chutney as well as their main dish like we tried mutton kacchi which looks good but taste was average and murag pulaw was okay but their bengali traditional cuisine is outstanding for example bhorta platter fist item etc.

One of the best place to eat in coxs bazar. Although i will prefer vorta over any other item.
Sourav B — Google review
This is one of the most regular places for me ever since I’ve resumed going to coxsbazar since 2021. I’ve been a big fan of their Bhorta platter, their thick daal & Kala bhuna. Their fruit custard n chutney needs to be highly mentioned. Another hidden gem would be the morning breakfast items, especially the big porata n Koloa bhuna. Their fish curries need to recommended as well for their rich yet mild n flavourful taste, overall, this place can be repeated for years n I won’t get bored I believe.
Rezwanur R — Google review
The restaurant was not very clean, their food taste was average, if you want to have various typ of vortas, then you should try their vorta platter, although most of the vortas was tasteless. Their vetki curry good to try. But their food was little expensive, and they should maintain hygiene coz its a well known restaurant in cox bazar.

Wonderful sea food place. Super tasty delicious and authentic sea food platters. Every dish I tried was amazing. Specially I want to mention calamari items, grilled crab and sea food pizza.BBq is available.Taste was mind blowing. And the view is also amazing..from the second floor you can broadly watch the bay and the beach while eating. And first floor is very nicely furnished and decorated with beach and bay view. Very nice place to enjoy sea food.

The views are amazing. Food is mediocre. But trust me, it's so dark that you won't realize if the thing you are eating is a crab or a Cockroach. They also really need to free this place of mosquitoes. Not really something you should be bitten by in 2018. This place could be the best out door dining in Cox's Bazar if they plan to hire some smart decorators/designers.

We order five thai chicken spicy rice, chicken chili onion, hot chicken curry, cashew salad. Almost all items were quiet good except hot chicken curry. Little bit expensive.

The restaurant location, environment, decorations is good. Food quality is ok. Price is too high.but it's a nice place for candle light dinner. It's situated on the beach, which is the closest beach restaurant in the Cox'sbazar. Everyday many local and foreigners visit this restaurant for their special menus and courtesy. Their sea food quality is really good. Overall at night the environment of the restaurant is really romantic and charming.

Transportation in Cox's Bazar

Getting around Cox's Bazar can be a little daunting if you’re new here. We can help list some of the major public transportation methods if you don’t want to rely on a car.

Nearby airports

Cox's Bazar International Airport

International airport
Domestic airport
Cox's Bazar Airport, also known as Cox's Bazar International Airport, is conveniently located just a short distance from the city center. It offers daily flights to Dhaka and other major cities in Bangladesh. Travelers can also reach Cox's Bazar by train or bus from cities like Chittagong and Dhaka. The airport provides a clean and tidy environment with wheelchair access, parking facilities, and a fenced runway.
A beautiful and peaceful airport surrounded by nature — just minutes away from the world’s longest sea beach! The new terminal looks modern and clean, with friendly staff and smooth check-in service. It’s amazing to see Cox’s Bazar developing so fast and welcoming both local and international travelers. Truly a gateway to one of the most stunning coastal destinations in Bangladesh.
Explore A — Google review
Cox’s Bazar International Airport is overall good and functional, though there’s room for improvement. The service could be better, and the airport needs more cleanliness and regular maintenance. That said, the staff are helpful and courteous. Since the airport is still under construction and development, some issues are understandable at this stage.
SHAUKAT R — Google review
Cox’s Bazar Airport may not be the biggest or fanciest, but it does the job—especially if you’re eager to get to the beach as soon as possible. Located just a short drive from the sea, it’s super convenient for travelers heading to Bangladesh’s most loved coastal city. The airport is small and simple, with a basic terminal and a relaxed vibe. Check-in and security are usually quick because it doesn’t get overly crowded like major airports. There aren’t many shops or food options, so it’s best to grab a snack before you arrive or after you leave. Still, it’s clean, easy to navigate, and the staff are usually helpful. One of the best parts? The view. Flying into or out of Cox’s Bazar gives you a beautiful glimpse of the coastline and hills—sometimes even with a golden sunset if you're lucky. The airport has been under renovation, with plans to expand and possibly welcome international flights in the future. For now, it’s a humble but functional gateway to a beautiful destination. If you go in with the right expectations, it’s actually a pretty smooth start (or end) to your beach adventure.
Tania A — Google review
As a regional airport I will vote 3/5 but as an International Airport I will vote 1.5/5. Need renovation, we are living 2025 not 1990.
Mahfujur T — Google review
Airport is quite clean having sufficient seating arrangements post security checks. Few banks offer lounges with basic facilities. MTB introduced a breastfeeding area which is praiseworthy. However, checking in becomes chaotic during rush hours because of lack of space. Also, the entrance to the airport building is quite far from where the vehicles drop you. So you have to pass a area without any roof, which becomes a major issue during rain.
Md. H — Google review
Cox’s Bazar Airport is small but clean and fairly organized, serving mainly domestic flights.Staff are friendly, and the airport is easy to navigate. However, facilities are limited—no ATM or currency exchange inside, and baggage handling is manual. The waiting area is basic, but a few decent lounges are available with snacks and Wi-Fi. One of the highlights is the beautiful view of the Bay of Bengal during takeoff or landing. Overall, it’s a functional airport with room for improvement, but it serves its purpose well for a quick entry or exit from the beach city.
Tanjina U — Google review
Cox’s Bazar Airport is small and simple, but improving. New terminal work is in progress, so the future looks promising.

Shah Amanat International Airport Area Chittagong

International airport
Psychic
Shah Amanat International Airport, located in the Patenga area of Chittagong, is the second largest airport in Bangladesh. Built during World War II, it was later converted into a domestic airport before becoming an international airport in 1990. The airport offers clean and natural surroundings with limited crowds. While there are no hotels or restaurants nearby, plenty can be found in the main city.
Location & access: Situated near Chattogram city, the airport is reasonably accessible by taxi or car. According to my experience it is“convenient”. Check-in & security: check-in processes and security/immigration are relatively efficient. Basic cleanliness & service: The terminal is generally clean, staff polite and helpful. “Clean, well-maintained … friendly staff.” Flight reliability: Cancellation rate of flights for this airport is very low (~0.07% over last 30 days) and average departure delay around 15 minutes. Overall, Shah Amanat International Airport offers a solid, functional experience for domestic and international travellers, especially given its scale and local context. If you arrive with realistic expectations (i.e., not expecting a flagship ultra-modern mega-airport), you’ll likely be fine. That said, if you value high-end amenities, wide food choice, large lounges, then you might notice some shortcomings.
Kaji S — Google review
Shah Amanat International Airport (CGP) in Chattogram is Bangladesh’s second busiest airport. It handles both domestic and international flights, mainly to the Middle East. The airport is generally clean and efficient, with quick immigration. However, facilities like restaurants and luggage services could be improved. Overall, it’s functional but needs modernization.
Mohaimin N — Google review
Shah Amanat International Airport (formerly known as M. A. Hannan International Airport) is the second largest airport in Bangladesh, located in Chittagong. About 21 percent of Bangladesh's passengers use this airport. The Bangladesh Air Force uses it as part of the BAF Zahurul Haque base. The airport was previously named M. A. Hannan International Airport after Awami League politician M. A. Hannan. Later, on 2 April 2005, the Bangladesh government renamed it after the 18th century saint Shah Amanat. The airport is capable of handling 1.5 million passengers and 6,000 tonnes of cargo annually. It is also the base for the country's largest pilot training center, the Arirang Flying School, based in South Korea. It is the second largest airport in Bangladesh. Although the airport's infrastructure has been modernized, overall facilities are still limited compared to international standards. Although it is an important gateway for both domestic and international flights, the weaknesses of some basic services and inefficiency of management disappoint passengers. Although initiatives have been taken to increase passenger and cargo services in recent years, some problems still exist. The Ansar force, which is kept as security, shows very bad behavior to passengers and relatives accompanying passengers in this area. They also extort money in various cases. Passengers suffer due to this.
Anup M — Google review
The airport works fine for quick travel, but it needs more improvements. Waiting lounges are limited, food options are very few, and sometimes the baggage claim takes longer than expected. However, the staff are cooperative, and security checks are done properly. With some upgrades, it can become much better.
Tawhid A — Google review
Visited Shah Amanat International Airport recently and was thoroughly impressed. The staff were professional and efficient, the facilities were clean, and the overall experience was smooth. Great connectivity to various destinations. Proud to see such a world-class airport in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Would definitely travel through here again!
Shajib R — Google review
As a frequent flyer between Chattogram and Dhaka, Shah Amanat International Airport has become a familiar hub for me, and my recent visit today (August 19, 2025) reaffirmed why I keep coming back. The airport has a certain charm-compact yet functional, with a welcoming vibe that reflects Chattogram's warmth. Check-in counters are generally efficient, though peak hours can get crowded-pro tip: arrive early to breeze through. The staff are courteous, and I’ve always appreciated the local touch in their service. Security checks are thorough but quick, and the waiting areas are clean, with decent seating. The food options could use a bit more variety (more local delicacies, please!), but the existing cafes serve decent coffee and snacks to keep you fueled. The free Wi-Fi is a lifesaver for last-minute work or catching up on messages, though the signal can be spotty in some corners. Boarding is usually smooth, and the views of Chattogram’s lush landscape during takeoff are always a treat. One small gripe: the parking area could be better organized, as it felt a bit chaotic today. Overall, Shah Amanat is a reliable airport that gets the job done with a local flair. It’s not flashy, but it’s got everything you need for a hassle-free journey. Keep improving, and I’ll keep flying!
Arafat R — Google review
Shah Amanat International Airport serves as the gateway to Bangladesh’s bustling port city, Chattogram. As the country’s second-largest airport, it plays a vital role in connecting the southeastern region to both domestic and international destinations.
Tanvir M — Google review
Shah Amanat International Airport, located in Patenga, Chattogram, is Bangladesh’s second-largest international airport, serving over 1.6 million passengers annually. The airport features a single terminal divided into international and domestic sections. The international terminal offers amenities such as a duty-free shop and snack bar, while the domestic terminal has limited facilities. Lounges like the Air Lounge and UCB Imperial Lounge are available, providing a comfortable space for travelers. Transportation to and from the airport is facilitated by car or taxi, with a parking facility accommodating up to 400 vehicles. While the airport has undergone modernization efforts, certain areas require improvement. Facilities are limited, and cleanliness standards need enhancement. Additionally, reports have highlighted issues such as passenger harassment and extortion, particularly affecting first-time travelers and migrant workers. In summary, Shah Amanat International Airport serves as a vital gateway for travelers to and from Chattogram. However, enhancements in infrastructure, amenities, and passenger services are necessary to elevate the overall travel experience.
