Noosa National Park

National park
Nature & Parks
Noosa National Park is a breathtaking gem located along Queensland's picturesque coastline, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in its natural beauty. Spanning over 4,000 hectares, this expansive park features an array of stunning landscapes, including dramatic coastal cliffs, serene beaches, and vibrant rainforests. Whether you're keen on hiking the mountain summit trails or exploring the scenic coastal paths, Noosa National Park offers ample opportunities for wildlife viewing and swimming.
Absolute gem to visit. Choose a nice day and allow 2 to 3 hours if just taking a casual walk, longer if you plan to take a swim. We happened to catch the sunset on the way back, which made it extra special. This is a must visit location. The walk is gentle and mostly on a paved surface. Steps are generally only when descending to the water. There are toilets at the start and about midway to Hell's Gate. Enjoy your trip!

Multiple great walks to choose from. The coastal walk was absolutely beautiful with great views along the whole way, gorgeous look outs and access to sandy beaches. Great photo opportunities. Also lots of spots either on the beach or at some of the lookouts to have lunch. Also a lovely area at the entrance for a little picnic. Really enjoyed it!
Brooke S — Google review
Pictures don’t do it justice so stunning! We were able to see dolphins and whales along our walk. The fairy pools are farther down than expected be careful but it’s the views. We wended up not swimming in them because we for distracted by a pod of dolphins swimming by. Tea tree bay was a nice swim. A little chilly still since we are coming out a winter into spring (September). But we still went out!
Lydia T — Google review
Noosa National Park is an absolute gem and easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited in Australia. I spent half a day exploring and could have stayed much longer — the combination of coastal scenery, wildlife, and peaceful walking trails makes it a truly special spot. The Coastal Track is the highlight and a must-do. It’s well maintained and runs along the edge of the cliffs, offering incredible ocean views the entire way. I started from the main entrance near Noosa Heads and walked all the way to Hell’s Gates. Along the way, there are several lookout points — Tea Tree Bay, Dolphin Point, and Granite Bay were my favorites. Each offers a slightly different perspective of the coastline, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot dolphins or turtles in the water below. Wildlife spotting was another highlight. I actually saw a koala resting high up in a eucalyptus tree near Tea Tree Bay — such a cool moment! The park is also full of birds, and you’ll often hear them before you see them. If you plan to visit, I’d recommend going early in the morning. The car park near the main entrance fills up quickly, especially on weekends, and it can get busy later in the day. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and maybe a snack or two if you’re walking the full track. There are also a few beaches along the way if you want to stop for a swim or just relax by the water. Overall, Noosa National Park is a perfect blend of natural beauty, wildlife, and tranquility. Whether you’re into hiking, photography, or just want a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, this place has it all. I can’t wait to go back — it’s the kind of spot that stays with you long after you leave.
Mandeep K — Google review
Noosa National Park is absolutely stunning — easily one of the best coastal walks in the State. The track follows the cliffs with sweeping ocean views, turquoise coves, and shady sections through eucalyptus forest. The walk to Hell’s Gates is especially beautiful, and there are plenty of spots to stop for photos or a quiet break. Perfect mix of accessibility and wild natural beauty.
R S — Google review
An incredible place with stunning coastal walks and picturesque beaches like Fairy Pools. The trails are well-maintained, offering amazing views. Just be aware that finding parking can be a real challenge, so plan to arrive very early or consider walking from Hastings Street to avoid the hassle. It's a must-visit, but the parking situation requires some strategic thinking!
Heath R — Google review
Breathtaking Walks, Wildlife, and Ocean Views Noosa National Park is an absolute must-visit! The coastal walk is stunning, with incredible ocean views, hidden beaches, and the chance to spot dolphins, turtles, and even koalas in the trees. The trail is well-maintained and suits all fitness levels, with plenty of photo-worthy spots like Tea Tree Bay, Hell’s Gates, and the Fairy Pools. There are clean facilities at the park entrance and plenty of shaded areas to rest along the way. Go early for cooler weather and fewer crowds. Whether you’re into hiking, nature, or just want a peaceful escape, this place has it all. A true gem on the Sunshine Coast!
Wat J — Google review
Noosa National Park Coastal Walk (Winter, Rainy Day) I walked the Noosa National Park Coastal Walk on a rainy winter day, and it turned out to be unforgettable. From the entrance to Hell’s Gate took us only about 30 minutes at a fast pace (5–6 km/h). The highlight came early — we spotted a humpback whale breaching several times right from the track, which was just magical. After Hell’s Gate, we continued towards Sunshine Beach. The first section of the walk is paved concrete, making it very easy. Beyond Hell’s Gate, the trail changes — first to stone, then to dirt, with some muddy spots after the rain. The final stretch is a walk along the entire Sunshine Beach, followed by a climb back up to the road. Throughout, there were stunning ocean views on and off, plus stretches of beautiful coastal trees. Even in winter and rain, the scenery felt fresh and alive — the changing track surfaces and landscapes kept it interesting from start to finish. Tip: Wear shoes with good grip if it’s been raining, and keep your eyes on the ocean — you might just get lucky and see whales.

Flea & Street Markets
Every Sunday morning, the Noosa Farmers Market becomes a bustling hub of activity as locals and visitors alike flock to this beloved outdoor market. Nestled under the eucalyptus trees bordering Lake Weyba, the market offers an impressive array of locally-sourced fruits, vegetables, baked goods, breakfast options, sustainably-caught seafood, fresh flowers, grass-fed meats, freshly-roasted coffee and more.
I always seek the local farmers market when we travel and was not disappointed. There are numerous hot food options as well as produce and artisan products. We went early to have breakfast there and enjoyed everything. An excellent farmers market, I can see why it’s so popular.
Kassandra M — Google review
Variety is covered at this market, from fresh for your basket to food trucks. A bit tricky to find smaller serves to eat whilst at the market, so a variety could be enjoyed. Lacking fresh salads, fruit salads with plenty of carb choices. No dogs, gorgeous fairy gardens around the trees, open fires and many other features show the caretakers of this market are rocking it.
Mery — Google review
Heaps of food stalls! Lots of interesting things to taste and buy! Also quite a nice walk out there from Noosa via the pedestrian bridge and mangrove boardwalk...
Frank M — Google review
Must go for fresh veg or a vast selection of food stalls. Whenever I'm in Noosa this is where I head for Sunday breakfast. Great vibe, friendly people, and a great variety of stalls. Well worth your time.
Craig B — Google review
Great vibes and great food. Parking is easy (bear in mind you might have to walk a little). Heaps of options for food stalls, fresh produce and other products. Very well maintained grounds, beautiful flowers everywhere and toilets are always sparkling clean. Love coming here every week.
Laura W — Google review
What a great place! It's lovely, lively and full of food trucks. Live music and sitting areas (unfortunately not enough of them). All sort of food and fresh groceries. Definitely worth hanging around for a while there and enjoyed the atmosphere. Very recommended!
NH E — Google review
One of the best farmers markets around. True to the spirit of farmers markets, with a huge range of fresh, locally grown produce, and lots of home made and home baked goodies as well. Prices are very reasonable, so you can stock up for the week with all your needs and cut down on the supermarket spend.
Malcolm D — Google review
Such a cute local Sunday market. It was packed but all the stalls had smiley faces on and sold their fresh quality produce. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we purchased here. Never been to a farmer's market that decorated so beautifully with native flowers around. The French "baked on site" pastries and the Noosa Pie Company's pies were exceptional.

Great shopping street one block off the beach. There are two free parking lots and one paid parking lot two blocks off the beach.

Many nice and beautiful shops adorning the streets left and right. Plenty of parking areas. There's a number of eateries like restaurant and food court along the street. Plenty of seats too. Nice ambience and clean area. The shops sell stuff a bit on the high side probably because a lot of landed properties surrounding the area. Good vibes though.

Noosa Heads Main Beach is a popular destination in the northern town of Noosa, offering picturesque views and a range of activities for visitors. The beach faces north, making it ideal for families and surf enthusiasts looking to take lessons in its gentle waves. It's conveniently located near Hastings Street, known for its vibrant bars and boutiques. Visitors can enjoy swimming, strolling along the shore, and watching stunning sunsets over the clear and calm waters.
The beach is beautiful and it's a great spot for surfing. The sand here is very soft. Although if it's holiday or weekend, there can be loads of people and it might be difficult to find a parking spot. You'd better plan the trip in advance.
Chang G — Google review
Noosa Main Beach is stunning—clear water, perfect waves, and surprisingly uncrowded. Ideal for a swim or surf, with a great selection of cafes and restaurants just steps away. One of the best spots on the coast for a relaxed day out.
Anthony C — Google review
Great place to visit. This is an excellent beach with beautiful restaurants, bakeries, cafes, souvenir shops and more. There are clean wash room facilities on the beach area. Parking can be difficult/very limited on busy days.
Malay A — Google review
Great boardwalk and great views! Best on a weekday, weekends might be too busy I think 🤔. Pretty hard to get a park anywhere here though, so you might have to walk to it from afar like I had to.
Wolfie M — Google review
Stunning sunrise views, very crowded and feels lively. Very clean facilities and includes water refills which are frequently cleaned which was nice. One of, if not the best beaches on the coast.
Yiyang Y — Google review
Beautiful, Relaxing, and Perfect for Everyone! Noosa Main Beach is one of the best beaches I’ve ever been to. The water is calm and crystal clear—perfect for swimming, even for kids. The sand is soft and clean, and the beach is very well-maintained. I also loved how close it is to Hastings Street, with so many cafes, restaurants, and shops just a short walk away. It can get a bit crowded during peak times, and parking is limited, so come early if you can. But overall, it’s a stunning spot to relax, swim, surf, or just enjoy the sunshine. Highly recommended if you’re visiting the Sunshine Coast!

Epic Ocean Adventures Rainbow Beach Tours

Tour operator
Canoe & kayak tour agency
The experience with Epic Ocean Adventures Rainbow Beach Tours was exceptional. The weather was superb, and the crew was fantastic. They had extensive knowledge about the constantly evolving shores of Rainbow Beach. We were fortunate to witness breathtaking scenery and encounter numerous whales and dolphins. The tour also allowed us to enjoy observing soldier crabs and catch a glimpse of a turtle on our way back. If you happen to be in town, I highly recommend this tour operator for an unforgettable adventure.
What a ripper day out! Nature enthusiasts will love this experience. Sean encourages a respectful quiet approach to observing marine life from the kayaks. As a result, we were able to get precious close encounters with whales passing Double Island point. Turtles over the reefs near flat rock. We paddled side by side pods of dolphins as they arched and dipped in unison. Sean has deep experience of this area and was able to set us up with the best possible chance of seeing these wonderful creatures in the wild. Memories will be locked in your heart forever.
Linda W — Google review
Excellent adventure today, kayaking with dolphins and saw some mantas and whales. Big turtles too. Was incredible. It was a bit too busy tho with just too many people in my opinion. I hadn’t realised it was such a big group so it got a little hectic. Anyway everyone was super nice and our driver Seb, who is also the surf coach, was excellent and so knowledgeable about the whole area!
Zoe C — Google review
We had the most epic day today. Thank you to Sean for a day of stunning weather, a fantastic and informative drive out to Double Is Point and the best kayak experience seeing multiple sightings of dolphins and whales! Highly recommend this awesome experience!
Sharon B — Google review
An amazing experience! Multiple pods of dolphins swam right by us! And we got to see whales and turtles and a manta ray. But even if we hadn’t, being out on the water in such a naturally beautiful spot was glorious. Sean was a superstar guide — really informative and friendly. Also got a great view of the coloured sands 4W driving along the beach. Totally worth it, a really fun tour, and would love to do it again.
Bethany W — Google review
Best day out EVER, with our family of 6. Thank you Suzie for your warm welcome and friendly manner. JB couldn't have been a better tour guide and kayak instructor. Loved this so much, booking again for next year. Awesome! Lou and Jenn, Bargara
Louise S — Google review
A fantastic experience with a brilliant guide. Myself and my partner did the $80 kayak + 4x4 experience and had a great time. Unfortunately there was some tree debris on the beach so we couldn't drive along the seafront but went through the forest track instead. Our guide and driver Sean made sure the journey was as smooth as possible. The kayaking was great, we were quite a small group and were therefore quite agile which meant we could keep up with a small pod of dolphins with a calf. We also caught sight of a whale in the distance. A sea turtle did pop its head up at one point. Sean was kind enough to record the dolphins and send us some footage and photos of us on the water. All in all a great experience, would recommend!
Oscar B — Google review
Amazing afternoon kayaking amongst dolphins, whales, turtles, and sting rays. Tour guide was really knowledgeable about the marine life and made the experience unforgettable. Would definitely recommend
Elaine O — Google review
Wow! Have heard of Double Island and seen some photos but they don't do justice as to how amazing it really is. We were picked up at Rainbow by Andre from Epic Ocean Adventures who took us on a private tour with two families and 5 kids aged from 8 thru to 15 and all of them had an absolute ball. Andre took us both surfing and kayaking that the kids absolutely loved. Can't wait to come back.

A Profound World of Enigmatic Drawings I discovered Enigmatic Drawings many years ago, and they have never ceased to captivate and inspire me. Each piece is a journey into a world of depth, mystery, and symbolism—where every detail is meticulously composed, inviting the viewer to pause, reflect, and interpret. The ability to create such powerful narratives through intricate compositions is truly remarkable. What sets these drawings apart is their unique balance between the seen and the unseen, the known and the unknown. They do not merely depict; they evoke emotions, spark curiosity, and leave a lasting impression. They challenge the imagination, encouraging each viewer to uncover their own meaning within the intricate forms. It is always a privilege to witness such artistic brilliance. I highly recommend experiencing these enigmatic drawings firsthand—they are not just artworks; they are stories waiting to be unraveled.

Family dinner for my son's birthday. We had a nice table on the window looking out to the Noosa River. The food was delicious 😋 and the service was friendly. Great overall atmosphere. Thank you so much for making my son's birthday special. He absolutely loved the complimentary dessert with candle and birthday song. The crowd in the restaurant was singing along 🤣 he was a bit embarrassed, but he felt super special. Thank you 😊 We will be back.

“Upscale bistro dining” Upscale is location, bistro is the food. Barramundi fish cakes were really nice. But our other dishes were sadly underwhelming. Was hoping for a little bit more upscale food for what they advertise it as; “Exceptional food”. Perfect if you want bistro food in a pretty location. People of all ages were there and the space was a fun, relaxing vibe. Staff were excellent and accommodating.

Noosa Boathouse has always been an incredible destination for brilliant food, often showcasing incredible local produce. Situated right on the Noosa river, it creates a stunning backdrop for a wonderful dining experience at anytime of the day. The team is always warm, welcoming and attentive to their patrons. The food is always deliciously crafted and their attention to flavours and complimentary elements is evident in every dish. You can really taste the passion for their craft in each bite.

Had a pleasant meal out in the company of friends. My fish & chip meal was enjoyable. The barramundi was "melt in the mouth". All our meals were delightfully presented. I've marked 'atmosphere' lower because it was a quiet night & didn't really have any particular atmosphere!

Have the Seafood Tower! Family Milestone Birthday. Great day celebrating, perfect setting for a long lunch in the restaurant followed by a sundowner at the rooftop bar.
T W — Google review
Was very underwhelming. The table itself was lovely as we sat by the window overlooking the water, and our English waitress was absolutely wonderful. However, the food really let the experience down. The starters, prawns and oysters, didn’t taste fresh, and both our mains were disappointing. We each had steak, but mine was so gristly I couldn’t finish it. The salad was drenched in sauce to the point it wasn’t enjoyable, and even my margarita cocktail didn’t taste right. The waitress remained lovely throughout, and they did offer us a free drink or dessert, but by that point we just wanted to leave. They gave us a small discount at the end, which was appreciated, but overall the food was not worth the price. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant or return.

Simply the most amazing wedding reception we could have asked for. This was by no means good quality "wedding reception food". It was top end restaurant quality. We had a two day wedding festival in Sunny Noosa. Coming from Melbourne it was impossible to pull off what we did at the Boathouse. Welcome drinks and canape's in the sunset bar upstairs capturing the wonderful colours of Noosa river. As the sun set guests moved downstairs to a fabulous dinner reception. It was a nice surprise to our guests who were treated to a surf beach as the backdrop for the day reception and now had the beauty to experience the tranquil dynamic colours of the river. The service was brilliant. Brittney was an excellent functions manager in more ways than one. Adam the manager of the night ran the event flawlessly. There was ample staff. Highly recommend. Absolute value for money hence we got two rooms and we wouldn't even get half a room with half the view in Melbourne.
Amran D — Google review
Went for lunch with our kids, looking forward to some fresh seafood. However, the menu has actually very limited seafood choices. The fish&chips were decent but the calamari were a wobbly mess and the salad was soggy and inedible. Despite many waiters running around the restaurant, nobody really seems responsible for our table. We wont be back

The restaurant overlooks Laguna Bay and features a deck adorned with twinkling fairy lights, creating a sophisticated ambiance. The menu showcases dishes with an Asian influence, such as ocean trout tartare with ponzu and yuzu pearls, as well as spice roasted cauliflower served with coconut yoghurt and okra.
Absolutely AMAZING in every way! The food was fresh, delicious, and truly “lick-the-plate” worthy. The staff were welcoming and looked after us so well, making lunch an absolute pleasure. Add to that the beautiful views, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. It was so great, we went back the next day and brought friends. Highly recommend!

Dinned here for sunset. Highly recommend booking it for an early dinner or lunch to capture the view of what Noosa has to offer. If possible upon booking request a seat closest to the sand. My wife and I ordered the calamari, scallop, prawn ravioli as entrees to share. The clear standout was the calamari as you could cut it with a dessert spoon sideways. So soft. Best calamari I have ever eaten. The scallops were cooked nicely as well and presented fine however the sauce didn't mix well with my pallet. The prawn ravioli sauce was stunning. The only let down was the bowl was cold so the ravioli wasn't warm. For mains we shared the seafood pasta and pork belly. Both dishes were great however next time I might entertain ordering a whole fish. For dessert we had the sticky date pudding to share. My wife and I were fighting over it as we wanted it to ourselves as it tasted that good however our belly's were full. I was going to give the food a 5 rating but there were a few items that could be ignored The service was flawless. Our waitress was attentive and assisted to our needs as we had a baby with us.

A Hidden Gem in Noosa – Food, Service & Vibes on Point! 🌟 We stumbled upon this beautiful little bistro in Noosa and what an absolute delight it was! From the moment we walked in, the warm and welcoming service set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining experience. The food? Next level. Every single dish that came out of the kitchen looked like art on a plate — and tasted even better! You can tell straight away they’re using top-quality ingredients, prepared with real love and skill. The flavours were vibrant, fresh, and perfectly balanced — honestly, every bite was a little celebration. Staff and service: some what attentive, a bit knowledgeable, waited 10 minutes to get our drinks order to avoid any delays we had to order our food at the same time ! Even though they had a few people on ! There was no eye contact from any of them !! If you’re ever in Noosa and want something that’s equal parts relaxed and refined, this bistro is a must. Definitely coming back. 🍷✨ Seafood dish was beyond believe and generous portion probably the best i have had so so far as the event fillet !

We had an amazing experience at Bistro C! Tatiana looked after us and she was absolutely incredible. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The food was delicious, the service was spot on, and the whole atmosphere made for such a great dining experience. Couldn’t recommend it more, I will definitely be back!

We had a fabulous meal here yesterday, early evening (16.45) We were looked after superbly by Florian. He was so attentive, giving recommendations for both wine and food. Service, presentation and food were all first rate. We both opted for the barramundi special and we were not disappointed, all the flavours were so delicious. We always look forward to dining here when we visit from the UK.

I highly recommend Bistro C! It’s my favorite restaurant in Noosa! The view is incredible, and every dish is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, The scallops and the eyed fillet were cooked to perfection. The fish of the day, a barramundi, was amazing as well. Dessert, a Toffee Sticky Pudding, was divine. That San Giorgio bottle? Absolutely outstanding if you enjoy a full bodied red wine. The staff were attentive and friendly, who took great care of us. And a big hats off to the kitchen team!

The satay chicken is excellent. The tomato salad is very refreshing. The pineapple/lychee dessert was excellent. Though I wasn’t a fan of the dried lychee. Lychees are so juicy and refreshing so why dry them for a dessert? The staff were super helpful. The venue is just delightful both in terms of interior decor and the direct beach views outside. Well worth the visit.

Bar
Rickys River Bar & Restaurant on the Noosa River offers a stylishly designed space with tranquil water views and a menu featuring local produce. The restaurant has been praised for its exceptional quality food, which includes exquisite dishes like spanner crab spaghettini and slow cooked bangalow pork belly.
A Birthday Lunch to Remember For my birthday lunch, I couldn’t have been happier with the entire experience. The location was stunning, the food was absolutely heavenly, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. It’s clear the team at Ricky’s genuinely strive to make your visit memorable. We had dined at a well-known Brisbane restaurant the night before, but I would choose Ricky’s over it any day of the week. My international guests were also blown away — both by the incredible flavours and the thoughtful recommendations made by our wonderful waitress. Thank you for making my birthday lunch so special. I can’t wait to return!
Tamaryn L — Google review
I still cannot get over how good Ricky’s was. We started with oysters and honestly they were the best oysters I have ever had, and I’ve had a few! Came with some vinegary condiment - I’m not really selling that I appreciate that - but it was really good! For mains I had the crab spaghetti, and if you go you absolutely have to order this. It is non negotiable. The flavour was unreal. My partner had the fish of the day which was yellow snapper, paired with the cauliflower side. We couldn’t stop talking about how incredible everything tasted. To finish we shared the cheese and crackers which were such good value at $24 for two cheeses. It came with a generous assortment of crackers, fruit toast, quince paste, fig and even raisins. Such a perfect way to end the meal. The setting was stunning. We booked a table for 4.30pm which was the perfect time for the sunset. Sitting by the window as the light changed was just beautiful. Inside, the atmosphere was warm and elegant with soft lighting from chandeliers creating such a relaxed and special feel. The staff were brilliant. So kind and attentive, constantly checking in to see if we needed anything, topping up waters and even lowering the blinds when the sun was a bit strong. Service was flawless and made the whole experience even better. It’s easy to access and there are plenty of tables, though it does get busier later in the evening. You can also get a ferry straight from the restaurant to Hastings Street which is such a fun touch, although we missed the last one when we left around 6.30pm. Yes, it is on the expensive side, but you can see exactly why. The quality, the atmosphere and the service are all worth it. We will absolutely go back. In fact, we loved it so much that we booked our parents in for the following night because we knew they would love it just as much as us.
Samantha G — Google review
The food was tasty—every bite was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The service was also great. My only critique is that the portions were quite small for the price. At $300 for two if you order from a la cart menu there should be a lot more food to share. However for $150 / PP for tasting menu the serving portions were too small. Pasta was literally 2 bites, fish was around 50g - 80g, same for the beef. Understand it’s the tasting menu however it’s the first time we need to top up with a burger afterwards.
Coco L — Google review
One of the best restaurants along the river (come during day light to see the Bewick river) with outstanding services and dishes. Everything is to perfection and the passionfruit souffle is a must try! Unfortunately we had a table next to an extremely noisy table of 9 girls screaming and shouting at their own excitement, disregarded and disrespected everyone else. We will ask to be away from the big tables in our next reservation.
June L — Google review
We’ve taken nearly twelve months since moving back to Noosaville to visit Ricky’s and wished we’d not procrastinated. The outlook is exceptional, as is the service and the food. The team make you feel very comfortable and the atmosphere is as relaxed as the river view. All the meals were great however the soufflé is special. If you’re visiting or a local, I’d suggest you put a meal at Ricky’s on the list.

We celebrated our anniversary at Rickys, and it was truly an evening to remember. We were given a fantastic table with stunning sunset views down the river — it set the perfect tone for the evening. The food was absolutely sensational, each dish beautifully prepared and full of flavour. A big thank you to the Maitre D Steve, who was very kind and ensured we had a wonderful table — it truly made our night feel extra special. Our French waitress, Margot, was an absolute delight — charming, engaging, and incredibly attentive throughout the evening. Her warm and thoughtful service added so much to our experience. Highly recommend Rickys for a memorable and elegant evening!

My partner booked a lunch at Ricky’s to celebrate my birthday with my parents. Unfortunately, my parents had a punctured tyre on the freeway just before arriving. When we called the restaurant to let them know, the first thing mentioned was the 120 dollar per person no show fee. We explained we were still coming, but there may be a delay while the car was safely sorted with the tow truck. We kept the restaurant updated with several calls, and to their credit, when we did arrive, we were greeted warmly and seated at a lovely table by the water with a great view. We ordered drinks which came out promptly, and then looked over the menu. Three of us were interested in the tasting menu, while one preferred to order a main. There was no mention on the menu that the tasting menu had to be ordered by the whole table, so we were surprised when the waiter advised us that all four of us would need to order it. At 160 dollars per person, this is something that should definitely be clearer on the menu. After a quick check with the kitchen or management, they agreed to allow three of us to do the tasting menu while the fourth could order their preferred dish. That flexibility was appreciated. A minor hiccup occurred when the ladies went to the bathroom and someone closed and locked the access door back into the restaurant. They had to exit through a side door and re-enter through the front. Small thing, but not ideal. The food itself was beautifully presented and very flavoursome, though the portion sizes were small enough that we added a side to feel satisfied. The overall experience was relaxed and unrushed, with our lunch lasting about two and a half hours, which suited us fine. For four people, with two drinks each, the bill came in just under 900 dollars, so definitely a premium dining experience, but not unexpected for a venue of this quality. Despite the initial confusion and a few small things, my partner loved it and has already called it her new favourite restaurant on the Sunshine Coast. We will be back.

We did dinner at Rickys and the sunset views of the Noosa River are the perfect backdrop. From the moment we walked in we felt we were in for a great experience and it was. The decor is lovely and tables all have views. Our waiter Darren was a great guy - so friendly that when we left we were close to being buddies! His knowledge of the F&B menus and his recommendations were much appreciated. We went for wines by the glass from the $35 mark down to the $14 mark (loved that Sicilian Grillo) & each was lovely. We mixed small dishes as a starter and had some lovely taste sensations - olives have never tasted so good!! Our lamb back strap & red emperor main dishes were superb and everything was beautifully presented and bursting with 'different' flavours. It's not a cheap experience but it delivers in spades so the expense is well justified Highly recommended!

Despite past controversies, the restaurant has gained recognition as one of the best dining spots in town. The energetic atmosphere and enticing aromas immediately capture visitors' attention.
Loved it! Delicious food, portion sizes are good and flexibility to modify for three people was a bonus. Staff, literally some young guys and girls brilliantly doing their job. They knew what they are serving and was serving with smile. Plenty of seating options. Highly recommend

One of the best restaurants on the Sunshine Coast by a long way. Contemporary Asian cuisine in a stylish, modern setting with excellent service and a great cocktail list (including some fantastic non-alcoholic options). We’ve celebrated a few birthdays here and the team always goes to a lovely bit of extra effort, which makes it feel really special. The food is consistently outstanding; authentic in both flavour and ingredients. The duck is spicy but absolutely worth ordering if you enjoy bold, traditional dishes. The betel leaf rice cake with fresh apple is to die for, and the roti bread is next-level (a must-order if you can eat gluten!). You can really tell how much care goes into every dish; the herbs and lettuce with the spring rolls were beautifully presented and thoughtfully paired. Their current smoked eggplant dish is unforgettable in flavor and texture; I’ve been thinking about it ever since we dined there last week 🤤 Highly recommend ordering a range of dishes to share with the table; you really can’t go wrong here! Or engage with the staff - they’ll do a really good job of explaining the menu. This is a must try!

Wow. The rice cakes are sooo good. Creative combination of flavours and the freshness of the ingredients make it feel like a you’re eating a rainforest. The BBQ pork just melts in your mouth. So perfectly prepared. The prawn toast is a cool experience. There is only one salad on the menu and it’s more of a satiated vegetable medley than a salad. Could have been more fresh to contrast with the other plates. Venue is a nice buzz and staff are accomodating. Worth visiting to take your tastebuds for a nice adventure.

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the host who was so friendly and welcoming. While waiting for our table, we were seated in the “bird cage,” which gave us the perfect chance to take in the stunning décor this venue is absolutely beautiful! We were then shown to our table by a lovely waitress who walked us through the menu, explaining the dishes in such a helpful way. Our drinks arrived shortly after, and let me tell you the cocktail was to die for. Small but mighty, it packed a punch and tasted divine. As we waited for our food, we noticed how well the staff worked together. Everything ran so smoothly, like a well-oiled machine, and you could tell everyone genuinely enjoyed being there it showed in every interaction we had. The food itself was nothing short of incredible. The wait time was spot on, and when our entrées arrived 'spring rolls and scallops' we were blown away. The scallops melted in my mouth like butter, bursting with flavour. Pure ecstasy! For mains, we had the beef rendang and the chargrilled chicken. The rendang was perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. But the standout of the night? The chargrilled chicken. Hands down the best dish of the evening and quite possibly the best dish I’ve ever had in any restaurant. The chefs truly nailed it: beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and executed to perfection. I can’t recommend it enough! All in all, this experience was fantastic from start to finish. Gorgeous vibes, amazing staff, and food that was simply unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back! 💛

Lovely food. The fusion is bomb! We got the kingfish twice because it had our party of 4 desperate for more! The flavours were cleverly put together for a mouthful experience. We also ordered the prawn toast (great concept and flavour), red curry fish cakes (underwhelming), char kway teow (disappointing and a let down in comparison to the other dishes), aromatic turmeric curry (really aromatic and lovely, so cosy!), barramundi larb (amazing! Quite spicy so ⚠️ but worth it!), SYG fried rice (great accompaniment to the lamb and curry). Ambience and service was 10/10. Very attentive wait staff. Feedback was provided re the char kway teow and it was well received (even thankful!!!), it was then removed from our bill - we appreciated this. Thanks again and we'll be back!!

Absolutely splendid food and service. A young lady called Cassidy looked after us for the night and her amazing hospitality made the night (well ok it was Cassidy AND the food). Perhaps a fraction dark where we sat and I might have liked a fraction more light but gosh such a tiny thing in an overall super, special night of dining. No hesitation recommending a visit here.

Restaurant
Light Years in Noosa is a trendy Asian-inspired eatery that has expanded from its origins in Byron Bay to become a popular dining destination along Australia's East Coast. Executive Chef Robbie Oijvall's diverse and experimental menu features dishes like turmeric & coconut fish curry and beef cheek rendang, showcasing a broad range of flavors.
One of the most enjoyable dining experiences on our recent trip to Noosa. Most of the dishes were very well balanced. Exception was the crab/scallop dumplings - casing and filling was not to the level of your usual yum cha restaurants despite an attempt at emulating the style. Otherwise the other dishes were excellent. The dessert of custard bao buns definitely tasted better than they presented. Serving staff were excellent and our table/booth facing the open kitchen was also a very comfortable and visually enticing spot.
James C — Google review
food was amazing we loved absolutely everything we ordered - kingfish ceviche with coconut being the absolute favourite it was unreal! tuna tartare, pork belly bao buns, masa man curry and a market fish curry was all delicious. Prices were reasonable to a little bit more pricey. Service was also so great for a local dinner spot out server was so lovely! Wine was also very nice to pair with the food. only very small comment would be the loud music we have a family member who had hearing issues and had a little bit of trouble but it did not affect the rest of us 😝 but definitely recommend for an asian fusion night in noosa!

Do yourself a favor and go to light years. Not only the ambience is great (we were sitting outside with the heaters on), but the staff is lovely and the food is perfect. We got the chef selection menu ($69 pp) and we were not disappointed. Every single bite we had was amazing! Great job to the chef, absolutely nailed it.

Book ahead because this place is busy! Shared plates. Deliciousness. Highly recommend Kingfish ceviche, Tuna tartare, Fire Cracker Chicken and the waiters choice - Miso corn. Great service. Quick meals. Second time dining in and it won’t be our last.
Bryce R — Google review
We came here on a Thursday. The ambiance was good and restaurant reasonably busy. From the start, the service was pretty bad. It took 20 mins to get our water order delivered. We were given the ‘banquet’ menus. My partner is vegetarian and I am no, but we weren’t informed by the server or host that the chef refuses to do the vegetarian and regular banquet for one order, meaning we couldn’t go with this option. A bit of a lack of business acumen there as we would have spent more total. Anyway, once we ordered from the regular menu, the starter we got (spring rolls) was quite average but fine. Next, my main (Pork Belly) arrived. My partner’s veggie curry only arrived 20 minutes later. I don’t know if the waitress forgot or they just do dishes one by one here but it is unusual and annoying. She didn’t even acknowledge the delay or offer and explanation or apology. The pork belly dish with a side of Asian greens was delicious but, the veggie curry wasn’t great at all and quite bland (on top of the inexplicable long wait)!! The cocktails we got were decent though. Overall, given the recommendations we got and the name light years has, we expected more and were left pretty disappointed.

We booked lunch here on a recommendation for a group of 11. Had the set menu. They were so accommodating of dietaries. Food was AMAZING. Fresh, full of flavour, not too heavy. Food came out a relaxed pace. Cocktails were delish and the service we could not fault. Waiter made us feel really welcomed, made great recommendations & made the experience so enjoyable. Would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone.

250 Grammi Food & Wine Bar offers a traditional Italian dining experience with a focus on shared dining. The menu features imported ingredients from Italy, ensuring an authentic taste. The restaurant is known for its generous servings and wood-fired pizzas made by a skilled pizzaiolo. Additionally, the bar serves refreshing cocktails like the lemon sorbetto with vodka and prosecco.
We finally got to dine here after walking past many times thinking what a great atmosphere and food. Glad to say, it was even better than what we thought, such friendly service and the food was such a high standard. Enjoyed the Zucchini flowers to start with and shared a Lussuria Pizza for the main, the crust was magical and ingredients fresh. Plus, the home made chilli oil they gave us for the pizza was unbelievable, possibly the best we had in a long time and worked well with the pizza. Hats off to this restaurant and I can't recommend them enough, definitely we will be back!

We had such a wonderful dinner at 250 Grammi last night! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Alvaro, the cheerful and welcoming manager who instantly set the tone for the evening. The food was absolutely delicious, all the pizzas and pastas are homemade, and you can really taste the difference. The standout for me was the crab pappardelle, which was so fresh and full of flavour. Our lovely waitress helped us choose just the right amount of food and recommended some incredible dishes, everything she suggested was spot on. She also brought me a glass of Shiraz that paired perfectly with the meal (and I loved every sip!). The atmosphere is so pleasant, relaxed yet a little romantic, making it perfect for dinner with friends or a date night. A big thank you to the whole team for making our night so special. I’ll definitely be recommending 250 Grammi to everyone 100%!

Fantastic family owned business making pasta and pizza fresh daily to serve all the hungry hippos! Our first visit was welcomed by smiling staff, knowing that we have elderly parents with us, they were kind enough to set us up to the back open area just outside the carpark, so we doesn't need to listen to doof-doof music. All dishes were excitingly yummy, fresh and strongly Italian. I guess this is what you get when Romanian married to Venician! Everyone's polite, helpful and friendly. We will need to come back to try more dishes!

Friendly, attentive front of house and wait staff. Great vibe, excellent wines and sensational food. Pizzas were awesome, but the stand out dish was the truffle and prawn risotto 👌🤤 I had to fight my family off! Thank you for a perfect end to our Noosa adventure 🥰

*I contacted the restaurant directly but received no reply. Pls note that we were not made aware of any booking on our table when this table was assigned to us by the waiter, my kids were super well behaved (9&12 yr old girls), we laughed off errors from the waiters because life aint perfect. But in the end got treated like we were a bother to get out of the way. My family of four had a great dining experience at this establishment last night. Dining out is a luxury for my family, and when we do, we support local. We were seated outside on the street side and really enjoyed all the food and attentive service. We were left a bit bewildered when after requesting dessert menus and still finishing my drink, we were asked to vacate our table for someone that booked, and go sit at the back of the restaurant at a high table. This whilst walk-in diners were seated next to us at an identical table just minutes before? Unfortunately, as you can imagine, this really spoilt the evening and we decided to pay our $150 bill and leave. I do not believe any customer should be treated in this manner. And a reply when contacting an establishment would have been appropriate. I think other good establishments are available and worthy of patronage. So we will not be returning, and I do not recommend this restaurant to others.

We had the best experience dining at Locale in Noosa. The food, service and ambiance were all perfect! We absolutely loved the Crab Pasta and the Lamb. They also have a very comprehensive wine list - and cocktails to die for! What a great way to celebrate our Anniversary! Thank you the amazing staff who made our evening great!

We had a table for 7 adults and 2 children with our family Food was not exceptional but way overpriced. My cauliflower dish had 4 small florets for $42! We had 2 orders of tagliatelle for $50 each and the portions were not big. All the other dishes were all minuscule for the price. Wine was 3X that in the bottle shop. Staff were friendly but the food and wine were overpriced and overrated. Definitely not worth the money.

Classy restaurant with simple yet interesting decorations. The interior is rather dark so multiple people were using their phone torch to assist with reading the menu. Service was slow and the wait staff wasn't in the best mood so it was disappointing. The main dishes were outstanding on presentation and tasted fantastic. The desserts were not the traditional versions on both flavour and structure but still tasty. Would be good to visit if you are in the area.

Incredible food and service each and every time we come here. We prefer to sit at the bar and watch the cocktails being made. The cocktails are amazing .. the twighlight Margherita is superb. We always go for the focaccia and whipped feta with honey to start and the prosciutto to go with it. As for mains, anything is good! I love the eye fillet with onions, beetroot and gorgonzola, matched with the potatoes with garlic, salt and rosemary. Mind you, other offerings in the past have always been a winner. Perfect setting for a classy night out in Noosa.

Been there twice. Good quality of food. Service is very professional and helpful. The square cod arancini was amazing along with the burrata and the oysters. The cauliflower main dish was exquisite although a bit expensive for the portion size. Extensive wine list. Deserts are a bit disappointing. Will recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or a date. Lovely atmosphere.

Sails Restaurant in Noosa is a popular dining spot known for its modern Australian cuisine and stunning three-story wine cellar. Executive Chef Paul Leete ensures that the kitchen constantly raises the bar, offering dishes like poached QLD Moreton bay bug with shellfish butter and a signature Sails caesar salad. The menu also features Manning Valley steak served with hasselbacks, portabello mushroom, gympie green beans, and voodoo bacon crumb.
Simply could not fault the food or service. It always felt like there was someone to assist without ever feeling like anyone was hovering. The food was absolutely perfect, steak cooked to perfection. Each course was presented beautifully and tasted as good as it looked.

Another beautiful long lunch at Sails, great service, wonderful wine list in the most perfect backdrop that is the Noosa foreshore. Food was great, the octopus, sand crab lasagne were stand outs along with the tooth fish entree. Barramundi main and the prawn pasta were really good too. We return every time we are in the area and it never disappoints. Ready between the lines of any negative reviews, this is a well versed contender in Noosa.

Restaurant by the beach, or entrance from street direction via a lift (ask the ground level wine bar staff to assist) to level 1 or easy accessible pathway. Attentive service and outstanding dishes, the three cheese souffle and seafood gnocchi were extremely tasty but other ones are good too. You will be guaranteed an enjoyable night out.

Great location and atmosphere, with a lovely cocktail selection. The entrée was really well done. The mains were okay. Didn’t quite match the quality of the starters. The staff seemed quite busy and a little inattentive at times, which affected the overall experience. Overall, I’d give it 3 stars. Good potential, but a few areas for improvement.

Sails many faces: - coffee & pastries in the morning from the cart on the foreshore. A popular spot. - wine bar, enter from Hastings St. Great cocktail list, wine by the glass or bottle. Moody ambiance and a bar attendant doing great work - restaurant for dinner, early enough to enjoy the sunset. A menu with many original choices. Ordering one dish at a time to share, gave an amazing meal. Chicken pate, smooth with subtle flavour & a superb crispy chicken skin wafer. Calamari from the Specials board. Miso dressing, cucumber salad, so tender and worthy of a repeat order. Sandcrab lasagne with raw tomato sauce was beyond amazing. A menu long termer we were informed, silky pasta, tender mouthfuls. Scallops, as per menu’s description, so tender with torch cooking. Wagyu rump cap skewer to finish, 4 pieces of beef matched so well with various accompaniments. A huge shout out to the chef & team

Been there twice now, once for lunch a year ago and now for dinner in Oct for dinner. I can only say it isnt as good now as it was. Apparently its up for sale, and that may be a good thing to inject some new ideas. When we arrived one of the waiting staff asked if it was a special occassion, we confirmed it was my wife's birthday. Did we get a free drink, no we didnt. Or any sort of acknodledgement, no we didnt. Poor customer service. I compare that to Vue de Monde in Melbourne where we went on my birthday. They could not have been nicer and presented me with a card signed by all the staff at the end of the meal. They also took wonderful care of all my dietary needs throughout the meal. Thats what I call customer service. We sat right at the beach end of the restaurant. Which is great if you want to see kids fighting on the beach or want passers by staring at you eating your food.

Lanai in Noosa has quickly become a favorite dining spot for many, offering delicious food and wonderful service. The atmosphere is lovely with incredible attention to detail in the decor, creating a cozy ambiance. Guests have enjoyed the freshest oysters with ponzu and chives dressing, Wagyu petite shoulder cooked to perfection, and simple yet delicious sides of cucumbers and local Noosa Reds tomatoes. The attentive staff, particularly Andrew, added an extra special touch to the dining experience.
I’ve been following this place since it opened but have not had chance to dine in until this weekend. From start to finish our experience was fantastic. The food was excellent, definitely some of the best we’ve had on the sunny coast. Although we enjoyed all the food my standout dishes were the fish tacos and beef curry. The staff were great and gave great honest advice on how much to order (probably not as much as you might think.) Excellent cocktails too, loved my coconut margarita! Will definitely be back.

Wow, where do we begin…this was a flawless dining experience from start to finish. Paul our waiter was very impressive and so helpful and friendly with our menu selections. The food was to die for, with a special shout out for the Ko-Kon-Da ( Fiji style). We highly recommend the lamb ribs, the charcoaled sugar loaf cabbage and the stuffed zucchini flowers. The chicken and pork dishes were outstanding and the portion sizes were extremely generous. This was our best dining experience on the Sunshine Coast and we will definitely return!!!

So wish we had found this earlier. If you are in the Noosa area this is not to be missed. From the time we came in to the time we left the service was excellent. The staff are incredibly warm and really know their food and wine. We asked for food/drink pairings and everything they recommended was top notch. The food was also incredible - some flavours I had never had before and some literally popped in your mouth. The ambience is also lovely and the lighting created a warm glow. Do yourself and your mouth a favour and go to this wonderful place!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE everything! Came here yesterday to celebrate my bday and it was amazing! They served us amuse-bouche and I can tell you it’s the best goat cheese I’ve tried. Love the complimentary marshmallow too. Wish they had it on the menu. Enjoyed the entree (fresh oysters and squid skewers). I hate and can’t stand the taste of alcohol but the mango sticky rice cocktail(?) slaps! Lowkey obsessed with the charcoal half chicken, the seasoning is infused thoroughly. The coral coast barramundi hits the spot asw. The staffs are lovely, attentive, and helpful. They are also not judgy, that’s the most important for us since people can be so judgmental to see people like us. Will come back fo sho!

Just WOW!! This was an experience I won't forget. It was our last day in Noosa and we randomly drove past and saw how pretty this place was so thought to pop in for lunch. 3 hours later we left after having the most amazing experience ever! Staff so friendly and the Food was next level. The menu wasn't extensive from afar however when you got into it everything that was on it was EXCEPTIONAL. Absolute taste explosions and so creatively put together with a few surprises along the way. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Will definitely be back and recommend to anyone we know!

Absolutely incredible. The food was top-tier in both freshness and flavour—beautifully prepared and presented. The service was next level; front-of-house made us feel like royalty from the moment we arrived. The whole vibe is effortlessly boujee and stylish. We’ll definitely be back—not only was the experience amazing, but the value was unbelievable. The Pacific set menu was such a win; we could barely manage the final (and seriously indulgent) course, and we love our food. Highly recommend to anyone who’s passionate about great food and truly appreciates the art of hospitality. Big shoutout to Rosanna, one of our amazing servers, who went above and beyond and absolutely spoiled us. Can’t thank you and your team enough x

Everything was amazing for our dinner reservation. The dishes were imaginative, contemporary and based around quality local seafood. Incredible flavours. Huge drinks menu if you want to indulge. Our seating was perfect with intimate lighting/music. Service was A1/friendly and fast. Couldn't fault anything!

Wonderful food and service with a beautiful outlook. It's rare to find a restaurant that gets everything right - food, service and a lovely view. The food was impeccable, each dish delivered a creative and interesting mix of flavours that worked so well. The staff were so personable, friendly and attentive. The ambience just adds to a memorable dining experience that makes this a must visit restaurant. For the dessert lovers, you must try the Fairy Bread donuts, filled with vanilla custard and davidson plum, a perfect blend of sweetness and tartness. Can't wait to go back, highly recommended.

We had the absolute best dining experience we’ve had in years at Bang Bang Noosa. From the moment we walked in, everything was exceptional — the atmosphere was vibrant, the service was warm and attentive, and the food… unforgettable. Especially kingfish sashimi 5 stars. Every dish was packed with bold, fresh flavours, beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced. You can tell real care goes into everything they serve. We left completely satisfied and already talking about when we can come back. Five stars all around — highly recommend for anyone who truly loves great food and a memorable night out.

Incredible food! So tasty, fresh and big meals with great quality produce. We enjoyed so much we came back two nights in a row. The staff are beyond friendly and super attentive, they even squished us in without a booking, twice! Loved it. 10/10! Keep up the great work guys

My partner and I came here for our anniversary and couldn’t have had a better night! The food was absolutely delicious, the cocktails were spot on, and the whole vibe made it feel really special. Big shoutout to Tom at the bar for the amazing drinks and to Agus, our waitress, who was so warm and attentive. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and welcoming, the service really stood out. Thank you for making our anniversary such a memorable evening, we’ll definitely be back!✨✨

Space has a great vibe. Modern decor with a buzzing crowd energy. Service was excellent by professional and friendly staff. Definitely need to book for Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Food is great but I though too much flavours and tastes competing for attention in each dish. The cucumber salad was plain and chunks too large to combine elements in each mouthful.

Visited with my girlfriend. Seafood was good. A bit salty and overpowering taste. We found a hair in one dish and they didn't charge for it. We want to come for drinks next time. Good vibes and staffs are friendly.

This is hands down, the best food I’ve ever had in my life. And eating at fancy restaurants is one of my favourite things to do, so this says alot. I am from the Gold Coast, a Mecca for incredible restaurants. And this place truly knocked my socks off. Every item we ordered was delivered to absolute perfection. Insane flavours, but not overbearing, just the perfect amount of everything. The meat in all the dishes we ordered were cooked to perfection. When we ordered the Mooloolaba king prawns, they were resting in a sauce/broth. Once we finished the prawns, all 3 of us were digging out the rest of the sauce/broth with our spoons. We couldn’t get enough. If you are lucky enough to eat here. I highly recommend the kingfish sashimi, Mooloolaba king prawns, wagyu, Kao Soi chicken and the pineapple pie (we finished our first pineapple pie & immediately ordered a 2nd because it was so good) The cocktail menu was also so unique & extremely delicious

Sunshine Coast Airport

Airport
Sunshine Coast Airport is the gateway to a 60-kilometer stretch of coastline that offers something for every type of traveler, from surfers and hikers to families with young children. The region boasts top caravan parks with amenities like heated pools, children's clubs, and stunning sunset views. Visitors can easily access the airport through transfers from Brisbane Airport or local bus services provided by Sunbus. Travelers have praised the airport for its cleanliness, efficient check-in process, and friendly staff.
Flew into Maroochydore from Cairns with Jetstar. The direct flight was great. My luggage was ready to pick up as soon as I was off the plane. Very nice airport.
Deb J — Google review
Ah, nothing like the warm welcome of being randomly selected for a carry-on bag check — for absolutely no stated reason while racing to catch a flight. I understand they have to check bags. but not bags that are fine, but They really outdid themselves this time. Apparently, “we just need to check it” is now sufficient justification to take 20 full minutes rummaging through a perfectly normal bag with zero explanation or urgency. Meanwhile, I got to enjoy the luxury of panic as my boarding time ticked down. The best part? The staff — instead of working efficiently — found it appropriate to laugh during the delay and the man thinking it is a joke to get the rest of out the family when he said, "oh it's nothing". Well that's great isn't it. THEN WHY DID YOU PULL IT OUT!! Hilarious, really. I was just minutes away from missing my flight because someone couldn’t be bothered to move at more than half-speed. I fully support airport security doing their jobs — when it’s actually about security. But this? This was disorganized, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. If this is the level of competence I can expect here, I’ll make every effort to avoid this airport in the future. Save yourself the frustration — fly through literally anywhere else.

Great experience with staff helping my elderly in-laws, both off the plane (helping with wheelchair in the rain) and also when returning home (13th Sep - 10 am flight to Melbourne -Jetstar). Ground staff helped us through the check-in promptly and also fast tracked us through security due to their age and health issues. Very impressive. **I have since located the names of the staff whom I would like to recommend-2 staff in particular - Kieren (on the Jetstar desk ) and also Dan (who ushered us through the security line) due my m-in-law being in a wheelchair . A very big thank to you both. My in-laws were super impressed and couldn't believe the personalised service, well actually care and respect compared to Melbourne airport staff. Above and beyond.

Airport foot traffic has increased without additional security terminals. It takes less time to get through a busy airport like Sydney during peak hour than it did here on a Saturday morning! Floors are dirty & not nice having people stretching out with feet on seats 🙄
Sara D — Google review
I have used this airport twice recently flying from New Zealand. From the customs staff, MAF staff and the helpful Sunshine Ambassadors on arrival to the Jetstar counter staff and all staff in the departure process. What a friendly group of people. No sad sacks. Cheerful, welcoming people they give the place a very good vibe. 👍👍👍

One of the worst airports in Australia. Absolutely useless. Staff are slow and have your typical laid back, couldn't give a crap attitude. 3 times in the past month have experienced waiting at least 30mins just for them to get the bags off the plane. Last trip we stood at the carousel for 1 hour before getting our bags.
Michelle P — Google review
One of the worst airport experiences I’ve encountered – and I travel extensively As someone who travels frequently and through a wide range of airports—major hubs, regional airstrips, and everything in between—Sunshine Coast Airport ranks near the bottom of the list. Delays are almost a given, with little communication or efficiency in managing them. The airport offers very limited connections and flight options, making it inconvenient for anything beyond the most basic routes. Check-in and security are consistently slow and under-resourced. Staffing levels seem inadequate, especially for an airport that serves a high-traffic tourist region. The layout is a disjointed maze, made worse by temporary terminals and awkward gate setups that feel more like construction zones than a functioning transport hub. There are no lounges, minimal services, and almost no comfortable seating. The shopping and food options are scarce and low quality. Even basic passenger needs—like shade, air conditioning, and quiet seating—are often unmet. Parking is expensive, poorly laid out, and rarely smooth. Signage is confusing, and the flow of vehicles around the airport feels chaotic. This airport simply does not reflect the growth or importance of the Sunshine Coast. It’s outdated, inefficient, and unpleasant to use. For an airport that serves such a popular destination, it’s shockingly substandard. Major improvements in infrastructure, staffing, and passenger services are urgently needed.

I booked my vehicle in the long term car park for 30days paid my fees and was advised to download a QR code which I did but only thing that was downloaded were advertisements for goods for me to purchase. When I tried to call the number for the sunshine coast airport the number was for another car park outside the airport car park I was advised to call the airport which I did. The answering service told me that the airport office operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 am. How fantastic that there is no one on the weekends. This is not good enough
