Military Museums
The Indian Naval Aviation Museum, located in Goa, is a unique military history museum that showcases the evolution of the Indian naval forces. Established in 1998, it aims to publicly display the functioning and importance of the Indian Naval Air Arm. Divided into outdoor and indoor exhibits, the museum features decommissioned aircraft, old aircraft engines, vintage photos from aviation history, as well as weapons, uniforms, photographs, and documents.
Very good place to visit, saw many machines and galleries there. There is a good amount of machines on display and the gallery tells all the stories from pre and post independence and the impact on Indian navy. Was very much exited to be at the place. Disclaimer This place is not a party place so remember to maintain the decorum The souvenir shop over here also has some good amount of collection for collectors
Sibin T — Google review
A must visit destination in South Goa! The site showcases various aircraft along with detailed information about each one. As of today, the entry fee for one Indian adult was ₹150 a small price for a truly enriching experience. Many families visit with their children, and I highly recommend this place for kids to explore and learn. There’s also a mini theatre that screens films related to the Navy (unfortunately, I couldn’t attend the show). You can easily spend 1–2 hours here enjoying and discovering something new.
Rajani B — Google review
The Naval Aviation Museum in Vasco da Gama, Goa, is a fascinating destination for history buffs, aviation enthusiasts, and curious travelers alike. Established in 1998, it stands as one of the only two naval aviation museums in India and offers a unique glimpse into the history and evolution of the Indian Navy’s air wing. The museum is divided into two sections—outdoor and indoor. The outdoor display features an impressive lineup of decommissioned aircraft, helicopters, and fighter jets, including the Sea Harrier, Alize, and Hughes helicopter, giving visitors a close-up look at machines that once ruled the skies. The indoor gallery showcases naval uniforms, historical photographs, weapons, and detailed models, narrating stories of courage and technological advancement. What makes the visit even more engaging is the informative signboards and the well-maintained premises, making it both educational and enjoyable. Kids especially love exploring the massive aircraft and posing for pictures. Located near Bogmalo Beach, the museum also offers a scenic backdrop, making it an easy stop during a coastal tour. Whether you’re deeply into aviation or simply want to experience something different in Goa, the Naval Aviation Museum is a must-visit attraction that blends history, technology, and patriotism beautifully.
Anil N — Google review
A hidden gem in Goa, the Naval Aviation Museum is an absolute must-visit for anyone with an interest in aviation, history, or simply looking for a unique and memorable experience. Nestled near the Vasco da Gama airport, this museum offers a captivating journey through the history of Indian naval aviation. The highlight of the museum is undoubtedly the impressive collection of aircraft on display. Stepping into the outdoor exhibition area feels like a walk through a timeline of military flight. From powerful fighter jets like the Sea Harrier to versatile transport helicopters, each aircraft tells a story of its own. The exhibits are well-maintained, and the accompanying plaques provide fascinating details about the role and history of each machine. It's truly incredible to see these majestic birds of steel up close and personal. Beyond the outdoor display, the indoor gallery is equally engaging. It features a fantastic array of scale models, uniforms, and artifacts that further enrich the experience. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, offering insights into the various operations and milestones of the Indian Naval Air Arm. The museum does an excellent job of honoring the brave men and women who served the country. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the entire facility is clean and well-organized. It's an inspiring place that provides a deep sense of respect for the armed forces. Whether you're a family with children, a solo traveler, or a history enthusiast, you will leave with a greater appreciation for the vital role of naval aviation. A visit here is a perfect blend of education and awe.
Prateek B — Google review
During my visit to the Naval Aviation Museum in Goa, I had the opportunity to explore India’s rich naval aviation history. The museum showcases a remarkable collection of aircraft, equipment, and naval memorabilia that highlight the evolution of the Indian Navy’s air arm. Walking through the indoor galleries and the outdoor aircraft display area was both educational and inspiring. It offered a deeper appreciation for the courage, discipline, and technological advancements that define our naval forces. Overall, it was an enriching and memorable experience.
Alfred C — Google review
It’s a well made and maintained museum which gives a brief overview of our naval aviation strength. There is a small video presentation also which is a good watch for kids. There is a restaurant inside as well. Enough sitting space and easy access inside. 1-1.5 hr is enough for this place. I would request all families visiting goa to save some time for this place and encourage your kids to appreciate your army.

Gardens
Nestled on the picturesque Mormugao Ridge, the Japanese Garden is a tranquil oasis that offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea and its surrounding islands. This serene park, once home to Fortaleza Santa Catarina, features remnants of ancient walls that add a historical charm to its lush landscape. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls among beautifully manicured gardens or relax on benches while soaking in the coastal breeze.
🌿 A Hidden Gem in Goa – Perfect for Peace and Panoramic Views!🌅 Tucked away on a quiet cliff in Vasco, the Japanese Garden is one of the most peaceful and scenic spots in South Goa. It’s not a traditional Japanese garden with elaborate landscaping, but rather a simple, serene space with manicured lawns, palm trees, and sea-facing benches that offer breathtaking sunset views. What makes it special is the secluded beach below, known as Grandmother’s Hole Beach. You can reach it via stone steps and a small archway cut into the old fort wall. The beach is almost always empty – no crowds, no shacks – just pure calm and the sound of waves. 💡 Tips: Visit during sunset for the most magical views. Carry your own water/snacks; there are no shops inside. Be careful on the steps if you're heading down to the beach – they can be a bit worn out. It’s not very touristy, which adds to its charm. Great spot for couples, quiet picnics, or anyone wanting to escape the usual hustle of Goa. ✅ Peaceful ✅ Scenic views ✅ Hidden beach ✅ Free entry
Navinya A — Google review
Probably the best beach in goa that you can go to. Doesn't have shacks or anything but it's very secluded beach with an amazing overlook view from a view point. Definitely a must visit.
Shishir G — Google review
A lovely park with a beautiful view! Great place to relax, with easy access to the beach. There are local street food vendors nearby selling chaat, corn, and other snacks. The park is kid- and pet-friendly, making it a nice spot for families. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
Nolan L — Google review
Garden itself is tiny however its on a clif that opens to the sea. One can get down to the secluded and scenic beach through 10 mins climbing down stairs.
Avijit M — Google review
Yes this place is a hidden gem. No shacks, less crowded, more peaceful and calm. Just sit there and enjoy the sound of waves and the scenic view. A perfect therapy for your mind.
Chinglenthoi K — Google review
This place could have been better if people had followed civic sense and had not thrown grabages along the stairs and garden.
SOURAV D — Google review
Went there for sunset. It is very good beach. There’s a small beach on the left of the beach, its like private beach feeling. If you go in afternoon its mostly empty

Sights & Landmarks
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Vasco city, St. Andrew's Church stands as a testament to over 450 years of history and architectural beauty. Originally established in 1570, this stunning neo-Gothic structure has weathered the test of time, having been rebuilt after its destruction in 1578. With its striking arched doors and windows, it reflects the town’s rich maritime heritage linked to St. Andrew, a Scottish fisherman.
It's a beautiful church in Vasco, Goa It has a small chapel on the side that stays open. The lights look nice at night, and add warmth and make it look serene and peaceful.
Betina J — Google review
Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Visited St. Andrew’s Church in Vadem, and it’s a truly peaceful and beautiful place. The architecture is classic and elegant, with a calm atmosphere that immediately gives you a sense of reverence and history. Nestled in a quiet part of Vasco, the church stands as a serene spiritual site surrounded by greenery. Unfortunately, the church was closed when we arrived at 3 PM, so we couldn’t see the interior or spend time inside. If you’re planning a visit, it’s best to come in the morning or early afternoon, likely before 2:30 PM, to ensure it’s open. Even from the outside, it’s worth a stop for a few quiet moments or photos. Would love to return again during service hours to experience the church from within.

Baina Beach, nestled in the serene coastal area of South Goa, is a hidden gem that promises a tranquil retreat for beach lovers. With its soft sandy shores and swaying palm trees, this lesser-known destination invites visitors to unwind amidst stunning natural beauty. Here, you can indulge in local cuisine at charming beachfront shacks or simply relax while soaking up the sun. For adventure enthusiasts, Baina Beach offers an array of thrilling water sports.
Quiet and scenic beach close to Vasco, with lovely views of the Zuari hills and the Dabolim plateau. Nice for evening walks, sunsets, and some water sports. Not overly crowded, which is a big plus. Beach amenities are basic — fewer shacks and restaurants than in tourist-heavy areas, some cleanliness issues in spots. Overall a great place to unwind and soak up the natural coastal vibe without the big crowds.
D K — Google review
you have a good view from the highway, but if u look closer very dirty, i didnt want to go down and even less into the sea! a lot of more beautiful beaches a few km in the south!
Arnold S — Google review
This is one of the good beach in South Goa. Beach view from fly over looks beautiful but below fly over beach is not much looks clean compared to other beaches in Goa. Evening walk on flyover surround beach gives pleasure. Flights are take off from nearby dabolim airport and you can watch flights in sky and disappear in west of sea sky.
Ravi N — Google review
no doubt the most beautiful thing about this beach is the scenery.. bat island on the opposite and the paragliding scenes surrounded by majestic palm trees just soothes the senses. the view from the baina flyover is just incredible!
Galice G — Google review
I visited early in the morning around 7 am and it was blissfully less crowded. The beach is stunningly beautiful, and I loved collecting sea shells. Highly recommend visiting early to make the most of it
Kasthuri B — Google review
Baina Beach offers a calm and laid-back coastal experience, ideal for those looking to escape Goa’s more crowded tourist spots. The wide stretch of golden-brown sand, backed by swaying palm trees and the lush green backdrop of hills, makes for a scenic and peaceful setting. During overcast weather, as seen in the picture, the beach takes on a dramatic charm with grey skies, choppy waves, and a cool breeze—perfect for a reflective walk or quiet time by the shore. Though not as commercialized as other beaches, Baina has its own local charm. You might find a few small shacks and fishing boats, adding to its authentic Goan vibe. It's great for photography, casual strolls, and experiencing a more local side of Goa’s coastline.
Munna R — Google review
Local vibe.. Quiet and not overrun by tourists; more of a family-and-local hangout than a party hotspot
Bhargavi — Google review
It's very calm and peaceful beach, l found lot of Crabs, and variety of Snails.

Pilot Point, located near Mormugao Port Trust, is a delightful destination for travelers seeking stunning views of the harbor. Here, visitors can marvel at large ships as they navigate the waters while enjoying a serene atmosphere from well-placed benches. The area is adorned with vibrant flowers that add to its charm. Although some trees may slightly obstruct the view, it remains an excellent spot for watching sailing vessels and taking in the picturesque scenery.
Excellent view point to watch for sailing ships. The view can be a bit obstructed by the trees & branches but it's still pretty good for a visit. Located very close by (500 metres/5 minutes walk) is fort of Mormugao, which is good for a visit too.
Malay A — Google review
Pilot point place is a tourist place. Here tourists can see the big ships in the harbor. A very beautiful view can be seen and many benches are arranged to sit there, one can sit on it and enjoy a good view of the peaceful atmosphere, tourists come here. The street lined with colorful flowers looks charming.
Vaishali P — Google review
It is better to stay at home instead of going there. You can't even see the sea from this point as their is so many trees over their which blocks the view. Moreover, in monsoon season the place starts to stink and many mosquitoes, flies bites. So it is not a place of worth to spend your time.
Sameer R — Google review
You get an opportunity to virw the Mormugao Port with cargo ships sailing around

A beautiful ride to this place uphill ride from Vasco town. A place from where you can get beautiful view of the sea and the Harbour and port not clean and maintained. It's very very dirty and full of filth. Thats the reason you can't stand long.

Monkey Beach

Beaches
Nestled away from the hustle and bustle, Monkey Beach is a hidden gem that can only be accessed on foot, adding to its charm. A short stroll through an enchanting old stone archway leads you to this quaint beach, where stunning sunsets paint the sky in vibrant hues. While swimming isn't allowed due to safety concerns—indicated by a red flag—visitors can enjoy snacks from a nearby café.
Monkey Beach is a beautiful and adventurous spot that truly lives up to its name. Surrounded by clear blue waters, lush greenery, and playful monkeys, it offers a unique experience for travelers. The beach is perfect for swimming, relaxing, or just soaking in nature’s beauty away from the crowds. Reaching the beach itself feels like an adventure, whether by boat or trek, and once you arrive, the peaceful atmosphere and scenic views make it worth every effort. A must-visit for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone looking to explore something different!
Sumit P — Google review
While the beach may offer a picturesque view from the top and convenient boat access, its proximity to a garbage dump detracts significantly from its appeal. You can get there by boat, but I wouldn't suggest it because of the trash.
Diksha K — Google review
Honest Review: Monkey Beach (Near Grand Island, Goa) If you’re planning a special trip to Monkey Beach, I would strongly advise against it. While the beach itself may look attractive in photos, the overall experience is disappointing. There is a large waste-dumping area on the hill just above the beach, which affects both the surroundings and the cleanliness of the place. The access road is also closed now, making it even more inconvenient. About seven years ago, I visited Monkey Beach as part of an island trip package. After swimming near Grand Island, the tour operators took us there for lunch. Reaching by boat was fine, but when I later tried visiting by road, the experience was extremely unpleasant and not worth the effort. Overall: Not recommended. It’s a waste of time, fuel, and expectations — there are far better and cleaner beaches in Goa to explore.
Vikram A — Google review
This secluded little beach can be reached by pedestrians only, which makes it great. There's a place called Japanese garden nearby. Just down the stairs through the arch in a picturesque old stonewall and you will be there. The sunsets are beautiful there. Snacks can be bought from a cafe nearby. There's a red flag so swimming is prohibited but it looks like it is there since there are no lifeguards around.
Екатерина М — Google review
It is small and peaceful beach offers a picturesque view from the top. Proximity to a garbage dump detracts significantly from its appeal. Convenient boat access one can get there by boat,

Vasco Square Restaurant in Vasco offers a diverse menu with global cuisine, taking diners on a culinary journey with flavors from around the world. While they serve North Indian and Continental dishes, it's recommended to focus on their Goan offerings, such as the delicious fish thali and excellent Red Snapper, Crispy Chicken, and squid preparations. Despite past negative experiences, recent visits have shown significant improvements in both service and food quality.
Amazing atmosphere, with good cooperative staff. Food & alcohol beverages are also good in taste with the satisfactory rates. Such a nice interior and exterior decor which is well maintained.. Even though you are with family you can enjoy the time 😊

Five years ago when I visited this place taste was very good. But now the taste has deteriorated. Biryani rice was done in green paste didn't understand whether it was pulao or biryani. Goan chilli was also not upto the mark. Even in afternoon thali was not available. Disappointed!
Prashila C — Google review
Great ambience, wonderful service and tasty food. This restaurant has lived up to its stature over the years. Just a suggestion about increasing the staff as the waiting time is slightly longer in peak hours or on certain special days.
VIRENDRA P — Google review
Worst Restaurant ever! We had to wait 50 minutes for our order(starters) to arrive... And the pina colada which was no longer called pina colada, but it felt like milk full of lemon which was disgusting .. Just to make up for their mistake they gave us wafers which was old as well... They didn't deserve the 200 rupees worth lemon milk as well. Not recommended for anyone to enter!!! 🙏🙏
Rachel F — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vasco Square, and the experience was truly delightful. The ambiance exuded a welcoming atmosphere, setting the stage for an enjoyable evening. The restaurant's commitment to customer satisfaction was evident in the impeccable service provided throughout the meal. Recommend for family and budget friendly one.
Hanish M — Google review
So, I swore not to visit this place after a disastrous experience in 2023 January. It was a day after new year, the place was crowded the service was slow and the food was awful. But I decided to give it another chance after a year. I guess I wasn't the only one who had a bad experience before as the restuarant was empty. We were their first customers and we arrived at 8. There were only two other group of customers over the course of the night. But it's safe to say they've improved a lot from last year. Food was good and service was great. Sad to see a good restuarant struggle for customers.
Ajish F — Google review
Must visit this restaurant if you are in Vasco or around. All the items in the menu are fairly priced. I went on Saturday so the resto was busy still managed to accomodate. There's a Dish of the day, best option to try.

Very bad and slow service and some of the goan chicken snacks are not even edible... Place has degraded over time, used to be one of my favourites earlier. Stay away from the cafreal chicken wrap... just way way too much masala and cabbage(why why why?) In that, had to leave it after one bite. Though the masala dosa was nice

It's a really nice place to have some freshly prepared burgers, pizzas n all. You can find a large variety of burgers. The shawarma is unique and tastes excellent. You won't be able to find rotis or parathas here. Just fast foods like the ones mentioned above and french fries, soups, mojitos, etc. Fair warning though keep a set of Omez D for next few days...😂 Location: Near vasco

Today I ordered two combo meal of 170rs each which is suppose to include a burger,a drink,a large fries and cheese garlic bread in each but to my disappointment the restaurant packed both the combos without the garlic bread for the takeaway, it only occured to me when I cut open the takeaway at home. Seems like the restaurant is trying to make profit by cutting down on takeaways since the customers cant practically check while its packed.

This restaurant is located 400 meters away from railway station platform 1 and all the food items like soup, chicken biryani and starter chickens were really tasty. If you are around its a must try food place.
Ajeet P — Google review
Let me tell you it's the best restaurant near Vasco Da Gama Railway Station to have foods if you are a non vegetarian. The quality of food is quite high and taste is far better than the nearby non vegetarian restaurants available. The hygiene is maintained. The staffs are polite and service speed is acceptable. The place has a very limited seating capacity and this is why you can find it crowded during the peak hours. The price of food is slightly on higher side comparing to nearby similar restaurants. And also they don't accept any kind of card payment but UPI payment is welcomed. When you visit here give it a try for Kerala Paratha & Chilly Chicken Fry combo. It's delicious.

Both veg and non veg items are served here. Fish thali normal (120 ₹) and special one(200 ₹) available. In normal thali you will get local fish and special one will get king fish fry, curry, kokam and other items. 4/5 minutes walk from Vasco railway railway station.Well maintained restaurant. Bangada masala fry dish is my favorite one.

Had a wonderful plate of egg biryani with prawns xacuti. Both the dishes were delicious. A single bite filled us with immense flavours.

I would suggest their Fish Thali if you are confused as to what you can eat here if it's your first time. Service is quick and some dishes are delicious while other items are average. They recently renovated their restaurant, looks a bit more presentable now.

The repeated trips are mainly for the ambience, music, the view , the very tentative and nice guys who wait the table and ofcourse the wonderful family who runs Joet’s . They warmth makes you feel at home. I somehow never wrote a review, but this time i went with my parents & three of us had so much fun, though it’s was pouring at night: But Joet’s can make any time special. I absolutely loved the serenity the place had to offer. It is single-handedly the best spot on Bogmallo Beach if you're looking for a cozy atmosphere. The limited seating offers a genuine sense of calm, and the live musicians are the perfect cherry on top with their passionate artistic expression. The place upholds its class and standards by ensuring excellent cleanliness and through the neat outfits the servers wear. Had a really special moment here and would definitely recommend it for dates and fun hangouts.

Worst "I ordered the beef steak and honestly, I wish I hadn’t. The meat was chewy, undercooked, and felt more like a punishment than a meal. The sauce? Absolutely terrible — tasted like someone emptied a mystery bottle into a pan and called it ‘gourmet’. I expected flavor, got frustration instead. For the price, this was a complete letdown. Definitely not coming back — and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who respects their taste buds."

Few days back i visited with my parents, we ordered puri bhaaji and masala dosa. The bhaajis taste was bad, like its stale and not freshly prepared. Also the sambhar served with the masala dosa was stale taste. When complained about it, the waiter and the manager did not apologize or showed concern. He said only you are complaining. I replied him, that is the reason your restaurant is empty.

I had a disappointing experience at The Vasco Inn Bar and Restaurant in Vasco. The customer support was lacking, with our requests being ignored or met with indifference. The staff were unfriendly and seemed disinterested in providing good service. The prices were shockingly high, and it felt like we were being overcharged. The quality of food and drinks didn't justify the cost. It seemed like the management was more focused on making money than ensuring customer satisfaction. *Specific Issues:* - *Poor Customer Support*: Staff seemed unresponsive and unhelpful. - *Overpricing*: Unreasonably high prices that didn't match the quality. * And the attitude of the person who is receiving cash was not at all acceptable and rude. *Advice:* Unless they improve their service and pricing, I'd advise others to explore alternative options in Vasco.

Really bad experience not gonna lie. A total ripoff. The owner served alcohol not mentioned on menu and overcharged for the same. Stating that its imported. When asked why its not displayed on menu he treated us like outsider's. Food also overcharged nothing as per its menu. Make sure he realizes his mistake.

We visited Anju Bar and Restaurant during the Shravan period, and our experience was extremely disappointing. First of all, the food was served very late, which tested our patience. We clearly ordered veg fried rice, but they brought chicken fried rice, which was unacceptable, especially during Shravan. Despite asking for drinking water more than 5–6 times, it never arrived. The service was careless and unprofessional. And to top it off, the pricing is very high compared to the poor service and wrong orders. Overall, it was the worst service experience, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for decent hospitality and food service.

Very bad experience!!! Bland and tasteless kheema pav. Plus stale croquettes.had to pay 280 rs for stale food. And staff at this place is like tired of their life. This cafe has lost its good old taste and charm.while the cafe of same company near municipality is far better then this stinky cafe. In front of the cafe you have great smell of rotten waste dumped by fisherwomen. Please don’t visit and waste your money here. (Translated by Google) The coffee is excellent. The best. But I can't say the same about the filter. Why? Simply because I can't open the filters (I'm referring to each of those paper filters). Let me explain: other paper filters have a small cutout on one side, about the size of a fingertip. With these, you just have to pull it and the paper filter opens perfectly. On the Dom Pedro filter, there is no such cutout. You have to use your fingernail to try to separate one side from the other. Until you blow on it, as if it were a supermarket bag, the kind that we can't open at all. Change that, guys! Ab (Original) O Café é excelente. O melhor. Ab

Domestic airport
Goa International Airport serves as the gateway to the famous beaches of Goa, offering separate international and domestic terminals. With its colorful culture and Portuguese heritage, Goa attracts around two million travelers annually seeking an idyllic and exotic experience. The long stretch of coastline along the Arabian Sea provides both lively party beaches and tranquil, uncrowded spots for a serene escape.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Goa Dabolim International Airport offers a smooth and hassle-free travel experience. The airport is well-organized, clean, and easy to navigate, which makes arriving and departing from Goa a breeze. Security and check-in were handled efficiently, and the staff was polite and helpful throughout. The facilities are good, with enough seating, clean restrooms, and several food and beverage options to choose from. The overall atmosphere feels welcoming and vibrant, giving you that first taste of Goa’s charm as soon as you arrive. Overall: A well-managed airport that makes traveling comfortable and convenient.

This is my official trip to Goa. My return journey is from Dabolim. So I got enough time to explore Goa Airport as I have reached little early. Being an international Airport most of Facilities are available on Airport except SPA. Lounge facility is there to spend extra time before boarding flight. Lots of shopping outlet inside Airport. Lots of food outlets to enjoy delicious food. Breweries are there for Drink lovers. Ample space for seating.
Asit G — Google review
Dabolim Airport, the primary gateway to Goa, offers travellers a convenient entry point into the state’s sunshine and beaches. Being a functioning naval airbase as well as a civilian airport, it is relatively compact compared to international hubs but it serves its purpose efficiently. The check-in and security processes are usually streamlined, though at peak tourist seasons one must be prepared for long queues. Staff are generally courteous and helpful, doing their best to manage the heavy influx of domestic and international passengers. Signage is clear and it is fairly easy to navigate the terminals. Facilities within the airport are adequate, though somewhat limited. Seating areas are comfortable but can become crowded during rush hours. A selection of eateries, cafés and snack kiosks cater to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian tastes, though options are not as extensive as one might expect in larger airports. Duty-free shopping is available, offering liquor, cashews, chocolates and souvenirs, popular items for visitors departing Goa. One of the standout conveniences is the airport’s proximity to South Goa, making it particularly accessible for travellers heading to beaches such as Colva, Majorda, or Palolem. However, reaching North Goa (Baga, Calangute, Anjuna) typically requires a longer drive of over an hour, especially during traffic peaks. Taxis are readily available, though it is worth noting that prepaid fares can be on the higher side compared to app-based cab services. Cleanliness is generally well-maintained, with tidy washrooms and attentive housekeeping staff. Free Wi-Fi is available, though the connectivity can be intermittent. The relatively small size of the airport means one does not need to spend too much time walking between check-in, security and the boarding gates, which adds to the overall convenience. In short, Dabolim Airport is not luxurious, but it is functional and reliable. It reflects Goa itself in many ways—straightforward, unpretentious and welcoming. It may lack some of the polish of the newer Mopa Airport in North Goa but for many travellers, Dabolim remains the more practical and familiar choice.
Surekha B — Google review
A Fresh Look for the Gateway to Goa Goa's Dabolim Airport has undergone a truly remarkable and much-needed renovation, transforming the travel experience into a much smoother and more pleasant affair. The entire facility now feels modern, clean, and efficiently laid out. The terminal’s design is a major improvement; the seamless connection of all aircraft parking bays to the terminal via aero bridges is a massive convenience, eliminating the need for bus transfers and ensuring passengers stay protected from the elements. Inside, the attention to detail is evident, with nicely laid carpets covering all internal paths, reducing noise and adding a touch of class and comfort as you walk to the gates. Operational efficiency is also high, particularly with the baggage handling. The luggage belts are very efficiently designed and consistently maintained, leading to minimal wait times and a quick retrieval process—a welcome change after a long flight. For facilities, the airport is well-equipped. They have successfully integrated a few local touches, including a dedicated liquor shop that sells products at normal, standard rates, which is a huge plus for travelers looking for last-minute souvenirs without the typical airport price gouging. Furthermore, essential services like taxi booking counters are conveniently located inside the arrival area, and you’ll find several quality food and coffee shops to grab a quick bite before heading out or catching a flight. While the new facility is excellent, the check-in and security processing, though improved, still occasionally lag during peak travel times, which is the only reason for the missing fifth star. Overall, this renovation is a huge success and makes arriving in or departing from Goa a genuinely positive experience.
Varun K — Google review
Goa International Airport is old but very good. The airport is clean and well maintained. Immigration, baggage handling, and other formalities are smooth and fast, which makes traveling easier. There are plenty of facilities such as clean toilets and washrooms, ATMs, money exchange, cafés, and shops—all very convenient for passengers. The prepaid taxi service is excellent and makes it easy to reach the main railway station in about one hour, with no disputes since the rates are fixed. The only area for improvement is customs. Unlike many airports where scanning and clearance are quick, here officers stop most passengers and ask many questions, which slows down the process. Even with very little baggage, I was delayed around 15 minutes. Fortunately, I still caught my train, but faster clearance would make the experience much better. Overall, it’s a nice airport with all essential facilities, good services, and smooth procedures—except for the slow customs clearance.

Had a smooth experience at Goa Dabolim International Airport. The landing was amazing, giving a beautiful view of the coastline. The airport is compact and easy to navigate, with clean facilities and courteous staff. However, since a lot of tourists arrive here from outside India, the infrastructure and overall presentation could be improved to create an even better first impression of India. Despite the heavy rain during my visit, ground handling was well-managed, and boarding was hassle-free.
Manir K — Google review
Dabolim Airport is a medium-sized international airport that is quite well maintained and organized. The airport is clean, and the staff are polite and helpful. As you step outside, you're greeted by stunning views of the surrounding landscape. While the airport itself is clean and efficient, travelers may find limited cab options available upon arrival; local taxi operators often charge higher fares.
One of the most well maintained airports i have visited in India. Its clean and well maintained. There are kiosks which actually works Have multiple outlets for food and commodities to browse from. Undoubtedly one of the best airports of India! 🇮🇳 Since it’s newly built, the experience and interiors were amazing 😻 The best best best part I liked about the airport was the trolley system. When you reach at your belt to collect the luggage, they have very systematically placed the trolleys so that passengers don’t have to bother to get one 😍 I mean how thoughtful 🫰🏻🫰🏻🫰🏻 If you are travelling to Goa, do book the book from and to this airport to feel GOA 😎🤙💕

Goa’s Manohar International Airport, also known as MOPA Airport, delivers a refreshing and modern travel experience that perfectly matches the vibe of the state. From the moment you enter, the airport feels spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The architecture has a contemporary feel, with high ceilings, plenty of natural light, and well-planned passenger flow that avoids crowding even during busy hours. The check-in process is smooth, with multiple counters and clear signage guiding you throughout. Security checks are efficient and well-organized, which makes the overall experience stress-free. One of the standout features of MOPA Airport is the comfortable seating areas, offering ample space for passengers to relax. The use of greenery and art installations adds a pleasant aesthetic and gives the airport a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food court is well-curated, offering a good mix of local Goan flavors along with standard fast-food options. The availability of cafés and kiosks makes it easy for travelers to grab a quick bite or coffee before their flight. Shopping options include souvenirs, clothing, and essentials, which add value for tourists. Restrooms are clean and well-maintained, reflecting the airport’s focus on hygiene. The staff is polite, helpful, and responsive, making the passenger experience even better. Connectivity from the airport is steadily improving, with taxi services, rental cars, and shuttle options available, though this is one area that could be expanded further for convenience. Overall, Goa Manohar International Airport is a major step forward for Goa’s tourism and travel infrastructure. It offers a premium, efficient, and pleasant airport experience that leaves a positive impression, whether you're arriving for a vacation or heading home after a memorable trip. A solid 5/5 for its design, cleanliness, and passenger comfort.

Also known as MOPA airport. Small and convenient. Plenty of space outside for drop off and parking. One thoughful effort from them was to place trolleys around the luggage belt. Never seen this at any other airport. There were multiple sofas for resting near the exit. There are multiple shops just before exiting the airport gate. Casinos, Taxi, Self drive, Restaurent etc have outlets.

It is new second airport of Goa. Situated at northern Goa, it has excellent motorway connectivity with major cities Calangut, Panjim and South Goa. Airport was designed artistically and was constructed meticulously. It is most popular airport for tourists. However it is small compared to tourists traffic in Goa. Already it is congested at Qs near boarding gates. Maybe soon it requires expansion in near future. Plus points are its beautiful entrance and veranda . Superb interiors. Inside on all floors thete are shops of souveniers and gifts and sweets . It is worth experience of FEEL GOA.
MF A — Google review
The airport’s architecture blends Goan culture with world-class design. Its interiors feature vibrant Goan art, murals, and motifs that highlight the state’s coastal charm, Portuguese heritage, and festive spirit. Built with eco-friendly features such as natural lighting, rainwater harvesting, and solar energy use, it represents a balance between progress and sustainability. Manohar International Airport offers a wide range of facilities including modern check-in counters, automated baggage systems, spacious lounges, and a variety of food and retail outlets. It handles both domestic and international flights, improving connectivity for tourists visiting Goa’s beaches and resorts. However, as the airport is located about 35 km from Panaji, travelers may face some traffic issues on connecting roads during peak tourist seasons. Despite this, the new airport has significantly enhanced Goa’s aviation capacity and passenger experience, making it a gateway that perfectly captures the modern and cultural essence of the state.

Highlights: • Smooth Arrival & Quick Exit: Immigration and baggage claim were impressively efficient. Staff were friendly and helpful, making the whole process seamless. • Clean & Spacious: The terminal is spotless and airy, with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. Signage is clear and easy to follow. • Connectivity & Location: For those headed to North Goa beaches, this airport is a game-changer. It drastically cuts down travel time compared to Dabolim. • Facilities & Comfort: Modern lounges, ample seating, clean restrooms, shopping, and food options – everything you’d expect from a top-tier airport. • Green Design: Loved the eco-friendly initiatives – from solar panels to energy-efficient systems. It’s great to see sustainability being prioritized. Whether you’re visiting Goa for a weekend escape or a longer stay, Mopa Airport makes the journey smoother and more enjoyable. It’s a fantastic upgrade for Goa’s tourism infrastructure and a much-needed complement to Dabolim.
