Quiet and scenic beach close to Vasco, with lovely views of the Zuari hills and the Dabolim plateau. Nice for evening walks, sunsets, and some water sports. Not overly crowded, which is a big plus. Beach amenities are basic — fewer shacks and restaurants than in tourist-heavy areas, some cleanliness issues in spots. Overall a great place to unwind and soak up the natural coastal vibe without the big crowds.
you have a good view from the highway, but if u look closer very dirty, i didnt want to go down and even less into the sea! a lot of more beautiful beaches a few km in the south!
This is one of the good beach in South Goa. Beach view from fly over looks beautiful but below fly over beach is not much looks clean compared to other beaches in Goa. Evening walk on flyover surround beach gives pleasure. Flights are take off from nearby dabolim airport and you can watch flights in sky and disappear in west of sea sky.
I visited early in the morning around 7 am and it was blissfully less crowded. The beach is stunningly beautiful, and I loved collecting sea shells. Highly recommend visiting early to make the most of it
Baina Beach offers a calm and laid-back coastal experience, ideal for those looking to escape Goa’s more crowded tourist spots. The wide stretch of golden-brown sand, backed by swaying palm trees and the lush green backdrop of hills, makes for a scenic and peaceful setting. During overcast weather, as seen in the picture, the beach takes on a dramatic charm with grey skies, choppy waves, and a cool breeze—perfect for a reflective walk or quiet time by the shore. Though not as commercialized as other beaches, Baina has its own local charm. You might find a few small shacks and fishing boats, adding to its authentic Goan vibe. It's great for photography, casual strolls, and experiencing a more local side of Goa’s coastline.
Local vibe.. Quiet and not overrun by tourists; more of a family-and-local hangout than a party hotspot
It's very calm and peaceful beach, l found lot of Crabs, and variety of Snails.
Peaceful beach. Probably had best fish of the trip in a non-descript shack on this beach.

🌿 A Hidden Gem in Goa – Perfect for Peace and Panoramic Views!🌅 Tucked away on a quiet cliff in Vasco, the Japanese Garden is one of the most peaceful and scenic spots in South Goa. It’s not a traditional Japanese garden with elaborate landscaping, but rather a simple, serene space with manicured lawns, palm trees, and sea-facing benches that offer breathtaking sunset views. What makes it special is the secluded beach below, known as Grandmother’s Hole Beach. You can reach it via stone steps and a small archway cut into the old fort wall. The beach is almost always empty – no crowds, no shacks – just pure calm and the sound of waves. 💡 Tips: Visit during sunset for the most magical views. Carry your own water/snacks; there are no shops inside. Be careful on the steps if you're heading down to the beach – they can be a bit worn out. It’s not very touristy, which adds to its charm. Great spot for couples, quiet picnics, or anyone wanting to escape the usual hustle of Goa. ✅ Peaceful ✅ Scenic views ✅ Hidden beach ✅ Free entry
Probably the best beach in goa that you can go to. Doesn't have shacks or anything but it's very secluded beach with an amazing overlook view from a view point. Definitely a must visit.
A lovely park with a beautiful view! Great place to relax, with easy access to the beach. There are local street food vendors nearby selling chaat, corn, and other snacks. The park is kid- and pet-friendly, making it a nice spot for families. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area!
Garden itself is tiny however its on a clif that opens to the sea. One can get down to the secluded and scenic beach through 10 mins climbing down stairs.
Yes this place is a hidden gem. No shacks, less crowded, more peaceful and calm. Just sit there and enjoy the sound of waves and the scenic view. A perfect therapy for your mind.
This place could have been better if people had followed civic sense and had not thrown grabages along the stairs and garden.
Went there for sunset. It is very good beach. There’s a small beach on the left of the beach, its like private beach feeling. If you go in afternoon its mostly empty
A must visit No words for this captivating beach🏖 No crowd at all Silent and quiet place Shining and rythmic waves 🌊 Best for photoshoot and selfie 🤳 Backdrop coconut trees 🥥🌴 Samll hindu temple of durga and shiva you can walk down the stairs to reach the beach Be careful on stairs as it gets slippery during rain

Such a peaceful beach! It’s less crowded and has the most calming views—perfect for unwinding. Loved the natural greenery around and the golden glow of the sunset. If you’re looking for a quiet escape away from the crowd, this spot is a hidden gem. Definitely worth a visit!
Beautiful, peaceful & clean ⛱️ beach. Perfect if you're looking to relax with a good book, take a long walk along the shore, soak up the sun or just have alone time. Hope it stays that way.
If you want a peaceful beach then you can come here . It's near to the airport so if your flight is late then you can just chill here. But there is only one restro bar here . But the place is very beautiful.
This is the most clean and peaceful beach I've ever been. So calm and fresh. No crowd, no noise. Visit here is you want a total calm and peace of mind.
Silent beach no crowd and no restaurant. There are only one bar & restaurant on the beach. If you wanna spend your time quietly and between nature. This place definitely amaze you but on weekends crowd are there. So if you wanna enjoy crowd go on weekends and if you wanna sit quietly and enjoy nature you can go any day.
Beautiful long stretch of beach. Seas are usually calm. Nice shack on the beach to enjoy a cold beer and excellent fish.
Cleanest beach in south Goa ❤️ we had great time, if you are looking for Peace this beach is perfect
Must go beach for no tourist crowd. Very neat and clean beach.

It's a beautiful church in Vasco, Goa It has a small chapel on the side that stays open. The lights look nice at night, and add warmth and make it look serene and peaceful.
Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Visited St. Andrew’s Church in Vadem, and it’s a truly peaceful and beautiful place. The architecture is classic and elegant, with a calm atmosphere that immediately gives you a sense of reverence and history. Nestled in a quiet part of Vasco, the church stands as a serene spiritual site surrounded by greenery. Unfortunately, the church was closed when we arrived at 3 PM, so we couldn’t see the interior or spend time inside. If you’re planning a visit, it’s best to come in the morning or early afternoon, likely before 2:30 PM, to ensure it’s open. Even from the outside, it’s worth a stop for a few quiet moments or photos. Would love to return again during service hours to experience the church from within.
St. Anthony's Church is very nice and you should go. Best while Christmas and Easter. You can go 1 km walking distance from Vasco da Gama Railway Station
The outside view is kindof mind blowing
The Lord's home is always open. Please do make a visit to the Blessed Sacrament, it's located towards the left hand side from the main entrance.
Huge church constructed in the shape of cross. Adoration chapel is available for prayer at all times. The atmosphere around the church is calm and peaceful.
It's a lovely place of worship, a very beautiful Church well maintained
Located in the heart of the city it is the main church of Vasco Da Gama. A beautiful architectural monument build in the Portuguese era(Picture Attached). The structural heritage is passed on till date and all is very well preserved by the Church Diasesaon. Truly a divine experience to be in the church. Proud to have studied in this church school!!

This is a beautiful river near Vasco. In fact, the harbour is situated at this river's mouth. We can enjoy a beautiful view from the Cortalim bridge. This is the lifeline for the inner villages and inland waterways. Its a must visit place for people who are interested in bird watching as we get to see some rare species found and seen them here easily from very close. Zuari river is famous for it's excellent point for photography with good landscape views and greenery around it. More than this, a beautiful sunset point also here. In my view, this is a refresher for anyone to see another beach if they get bored of seeing only beaches in Goa (which ideally shouldn't happen, but we get a wonderful bite of it). As a summary, this is a lovely, calm and panoramic shot of river. I'm not sure if there are any places for rent, but I did see some houses.. maybe PG is allowed anyways we can stopped by this place to take a break from beach overdose. I had spent a nice time sitting near to the river and seen the wonderful yellow sun that half dipped in flowing water.. It was pretty relaxing to me.
Great place to watch dolphins free of cost#secret#
U can c sunset view which is awesome f thr. They hv made arrangements fr ppl to seat n observe sunset.. its peacefull silent place ..
Looks beautiful from River view
River bank; night cruises available; 2 hour bird watching boating charges Rs1500 per head and they take 12 people....ie 18k per 2 hrs per boat
It's a shortcut if you are going to Verna, Vasco or Airport from Mardol or Mangeshi or Kundaim or even from Ponda. You first have to come to Madkaim tonca from Mardol or Kundaim. From there one can go to Korthalim via Zuari river crossing by Ferry boat and then to Vasco. This shortens the total distance considerably. Ferry crossing is free and charges for vehicle are nominal. One can rest while crossing the river.. actually it's a creek. The scenery is eye-catching. Most beautiful journey. Only locals know this route. Tourists should try this route once at least. You will enjoy. Ferry boat is available from both sides from early morning till 8.30 pm. I don't know the exact time table though.
Superb place for fishing from bridge or below the bridge. Here you get good fish and big size fish. This area is perfect for fishing with fishing rod and to catch crabs. Crabs which you get here are yummy and tasty. I just love crabs from this area.
u can get nice view in evening time and get a night cruise boating at 300rs per person and freee ferry boat to go to ponda enjoy and can see people fishing here

The quality of fruits at this shop is undoubtedly good—fresh and flavorful. However, the prices are extremely high, which is hard to justify, especially when there are other stores offering similar quality for much less. While I appreciate the effort to provide premium produce, the cost is just too much. Unless you're willing to pay a significant premium, you might want to look elsewhere.
I rate 4 star due to its huge and comfortable parking just out side market, Very big market, with lots of shop Grocery, veggies, daily need, electronic, bank, Atm,
Always Crowded as Market should be...A Congested place which having lots of Narrow Streets of Shops in which you will get what you want in your pocket budget... From hair to foot and from body wearing to tummy Filling shops... Additional information for the street food lovers, there is a small shop in market which serve Fresh,Yummy and Cheapest Snacks with full of Street food Vibes....And For Toilet There is nothing but Something is There 😂
U wil fine all things over here frm food to cloths to grocery n very of thinks .... With reasonable price
The best place to have lip smalcking and mouth watering chaat. This stall serves you delicious chaat dishes. Famous amongst locals and it gets crowded during evening. I would suggest you to try their Shev puri, Ragda pav and Paani puri. They take cash and UPI payment.
It's a pleasure to go through the market.....more things and offers available on Sunday market
One of the local market of Vasco area of Goa. You can get awesome food and awesome cookies here. While this area is not famous for the tourist but there will give you a taste of peaceful area of Goa.
Good place for shopping... Good items, best products in best price ✨ Best place to visit for shopping with family👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Excellent view point to watch for sailing ships. The view can be a bit obstructed by the trees & branches but it's still pretty good for a visit. Located very close by (500 metres/5 minutes walk) is fort of Mormugao, which is good for a visit too.
Pilot point place is a tourist place. Here tourists can see the big ships in the harbor. A very beautiful view can be seen and many benches are arranged to sit there, one can sit on it and enjoy a good view of the peaceful atmosphere, tourists come here. The street lined with colorful flowers looks charming.
It is better to stay at home instead of going there. You can't even see the sea from this point as their is so many trees over their which blocks the view. Moreover, in monsoon season the place starts to stink and many mosquitoes, flies bites. So it is not a place of worth to spend your time.
You get an opportunity to virw the Mormugao Port with cargo ships sailing around
A beautiful ride to this place uphill ride from Vasco town. A place from where you can get beautiful view of the sea and the Harbour and port not clean and maintained. It's very very dirty and full of filth. Thats the reason you can't stand long.
Peaceful place to just sit and relax and see the beautiful view of vasco harbor…
Place from where you can have a view of the mormugao port. You can spend some 5-10 mins and then head to other local sightseeing points.
Good place to rest for some time with nice view of whole port and big ships you can see whole coal plant it's storage it's filling shipping process from this point

Monkey Beach is a beautiful and adventurous spot that truly lives up to its name. Surrounded by clear blue waters, lush greenery, and playful monkeys, it offers a unique experience for travelers. The beach is perfect for swimming, relaxing, or just soaking in nature’s beauty away from the crowds. Reaching the beach itself feels like an adventure, whether by boat or trek, and once you arrive, the peaceful atmosphere and scenic views make it worth every effort. A must-visit for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone looking to explore something different!
While the beach may offer a picturesque view from the top and convenient boat access, its proximity to a garbage dump detracts significantly from its appeal. You can get there by boat, but I wouldn't suggest it because of the trash.
Honest Review: Monkey Beach (Near Grand Island, Goa) If you’re planning a special trip to Monkey Beach, I would strongly advise against it. While the beach itself may look attractive in photos, the overall experience is disappointing. There is a large waste-dumping area on the hill just above the beach, which affects both the surroundings and the cleanliness of the place. The access road is also closed now, making it even more inconvenient. About seven years ago, I visited Monkey Beach as part of an island trip package. After swimming near Grand Island, the tour operators took us there for lunch. Reaching by boat was fine, but when I later tried visiting by road, the experience was extremely unpleasant and not worth the effort. Overall: Not recommended. It’s a waste of time, fuel, and expectations — there are far better and cleaner beaches in Goa to explore.
This secluded little beach can be reached by pedestrians only, which makes it great. There's a place called Japanese garden nearby. Just down the stairs through the arch in a picturesque old stonewall and you will be there. The sunsets are beautiful there. Snacks can be bought from a cafe nearby. There's a red flag so swimming is prohibited but it looks like it is there since there are no lifeguards around.
It is small and peaceful beach offers a picturesque view from the top. Proximity to a garbage dump detracts significantly from its appeal. Convenient boat access one can get there by boat,
Beach is very small, also prices of snacks they sell here are very much high then MRP. They charge 100 rs for plastic floor mat It's better to carry ur own floor mat and snacks.
It's a very Small beach in the way of grand Island tour. There is no shops or tolet. It's just a stopping point for ferry's. They provide lunch at this place.
There is no beach. Please dont misguide the people. There is place of garbage. No one there very scary place

A nice football stadium of Goa in Vasco. The stadium is very small. The ground is not good. The field size is also small. The best part is you are too close to the players, you can see, hear them clearly. It was mainly home ground for Churchill Brothers for I-League.
Stadium is good, maintenance is also good, washrooms are clean... Attended Christmas midnight mass of St Andrews Church, Vasco in the stadium
Need lot of maintenance efforts from authority
It's nice.. decent accommodation for crowd..good ground
Toilet facilities should be given to women. It should be neat and clean. And rather than that stadium is good.
A small stadium at vasco. Nice place for football and to hv fun.
