My Thai Restaurant

Thai restaurant
Restaurant
During my travels in Thailand, I had the delightful opportunity to dine at My Thai Restaurant multiple times, and each visit was a culinary adventure! The dishes were not only bursting with authentic flavors but also beautifully crafted. With an extensive menu that features both beloved traditional favorites and innovative creations, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The staff's warm hospitality made every meal even more enjoyable; they were always friendly and attentive.
During my stay in Thailand, I had the pleasure of eating in this wonderful restaurant several times – and I was absolutely thrilled every time! The dishes were not only incredibly delicious, but also lovingly prepared and full of authentic flavors. I was particularly impressed by the large selection: Whether traditional classics or creative own creations - everyone will find something to their liking here. The service was always friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even more pleasant. If you love good food and are on the road in Thailand, you should definitely not miss this restaurant. I will definitely be back!

My husband and I visited late September and enjoyed it so much, we revisited another two times. The food is delicious with a vast and varied menu and generous portions. All staff are so friendly and helpful. Our moped battery went flat and they helped us contact the team to get us back on the road! Another little touch is that after your meal they offer you a free ice cream which was a sweet gesture that we appreciated. We hope to return to Thailand soon, as we are just about to return to the UK tomorrow. Thank you My Thai restaurant for looking after us so well. Julie & Andrew, Wales.
Julie S — Google review
We came here to eat dinner 6 times. There was a vast variety of food. From a huge range of pizza, western food and Thai food. We mainly ate Thai food and it was always great with generous serving sizes. We got a free scoop of icecream and Watermelon every night as well. Staff were very friendly and attentive.
Carmel H — Google review
The food was better than in the neighboring restaurants and the price was also completely ok. The food was there quickly and after the main course an ice cream card was brought. The operation was very good and has carefully cared for empty beer was after a short eye contact without words directly filled up empty plates were quickly picked up. We are convinced and will come here more often and can highly recommend the restaurant.
Dirk B — Google review
After the first visit we had been easily persuaded to return almost every evening. The food was very good, staff very friendly and attentive. One of the busiest restaurants in the area, this is what drew us here in the first evening. The menu is rather large, a common feature for all the restaurants here and they have a good range of foods including pizza. To our surprise, on the last evening they gave us presents to say thank you for our regular custom. Speaks a lot for Thai hospitality and generosity. Definitely recommend!
Alice M — Google review
Delicious food and the kindest people ever! The food was super tasty and came really fast – but what truly stood out was the incredible service. Everyone was unbelievably friendly and made us feel so welcome. They even gave us a small gift when we left – such a sweet gesture! They genuinely made our holiday even more special. Thank you! 💛
Irem K — Google review
Our favorite in Khao Lak! Tasty food and lovely people. Free ice cream and fruit after lunch.

Nana on the beach

$$$$cheap
Restaurant
Nana on the beach offers a delightful dining experience with a picturesque view of Lam Kaen Beach. The restaurant, although simple in decor, exudes charm with its old wooden tables and plastic chairs. Patrons can enjoy their meals while digging their toes into the sand and admiring the breathtaking sunset. The menu features flavorful dishes like chicken curry and spicy seafood options that leave a lasting impression. To end on a sweet note, guests can indulge in the delicious mango and sticky rice dessert.
Open air covered and outside dining under wood roof and on rough wood tables. Food and beverages are absolutely delicious and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Very cool dining experience on the beach just yards from the surf. Very relaxing and a very romantic cool setting. Prices are very very cheap. We came here twice during our stay!
Stace ( — Google review
Excellent food and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere.🏝 There are a few dogs around but they are all very well behaved and seem very happy and comfortable.😍
Stina B — Google review
Down-to-earth, locally prepared food, served on the beach, where you can feel the sand between your toes are you sip on one of the smoothies on offer. Wide choice of food, friendly staff, and a few well-behaved dogs (and pups!) laying under the tables. Visited 3-4 times in the two weeks we were there. Only regret is that we didn't manage to get there for dinner, as the sunset view is what we'd have seen if we had...
Paul B — Google review
We enjoyed a great meal here, with a refreshing drink, overlooking Lam Kaen Beach. Nana's is a "no frills" restaurant, old wooden tables and plastic chairs but it all adds to the charm. We dug our toes into the sand as we took in the wonderful sunset. Our mains were a chicken curry and a spicy seafood dish, both bursting with flavour and we ended the evening sharing a mango and sticky rice dessert, delicious. Prices here are very reasonable, probably the cheapest in the area. Two mains, two plain rice, a side of veg, one dessert, a large beer and a soft drink came to the princely sum of 690 baht, amazing value! If you are in the area for any length of time Nana On The Beach is a must visit.
Alfred R — Google review
Great beach spot for drinks, and food. Right on beach with friendly locals and good for the dog lover. If you're staying at a hotel, always take the short walk to the beach-side restaurants rather than eat at the hotel, much better food, prices, and local atmosphere.
Simon S — Google review
Really lovely food and staff! Prices pretty much the same as the others, but has a roast duck curry that the other places don't have! Toilet facilities are rudimentary but the rest more than makes up for it
Dom T — Google review
Amazing small business on the beach perfect for sitting with a drink and watching the waves. Also perfect for dog lovers they have a friendly family of dogs who are very cute and well behaved. Also the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I was staying at Khao lak Merlin resort and ended up going back later in the week.
Archie W — Google review
A beautiful relaxing location with the added bonus of friendly, entertaining puppies. We also had a massage while at Nana’s which is highly recommended.

My wife and I were here for 10 days and went to this restaurant every night. We just dropped lucky the first night. The Indian dishes were all superb and all the Thai dishes were equally excellent. The owners all made us extremely welcome each night. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I wish them every success.

If you’re in the area and want something local and easy going, I’d say this place is worth checking out. We tried a few dishes to share. Everything was tasty and felt homemade in a good way simple, but done right. Prices were reasonable too, so no complaints there.

We visited a number of times while staying at the Merlin. The food is fantastic and the most authentic we have had during our holiday. Panang curry and green curry were the best in Khao Lak. Many restaurants have toned down their food for tourists. Staff are very friendly and always happy to help.

the Garden Bamboo Bungalow

Quaint bamboo cottages in a tropical garden. No AC but the fan kept me comfortable under a mosquito net. The bed was hard even by Thai standards. The shower was good. WIFI was fast. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. It's about a 10 minute walk to the very nice beach.

Beautyfull Peace, nice bamboe hut. Ariane was very nice. the place was clean everything oke. we could walk and eat in that place. nice to walk to the beach.

Nestled near the Khao Lak Merlin Resort, Mali Restaurant is a delightful culinary gem that beautifully marries Thai cuisine, Indian flavors, and fresh seafood. This spacious eatery boasts an extensive menu that caters to all palates, including fantastic vegetarian options alongside mouthwatering BBQ dishes like Chicken Satay. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience even during busy times. Guests rave about the quick service and delicious cocktails that perfectly complement their meals.
We absolutely love this restaurant not just for the fantastic food, but for the wonderful friendly staff who we have got to know over all the years of going there! Wouldn’t eat anywhere else as in our opinion this is the BEST place to eat and drink! Seafood dishes especially the seafood hot-pan is delicious, love the red Thai curry too. These were dishes we couldn’t get enough of. Starters of chicken skewers with satay sauce and deep fried prawns were another of our favorite. Great value so highly recommend it and then visit Black Jack bar for cocktails 😋

Super tasty food, and very cheap for the quality. Comforting atmosphere and interior. Very caring and positive staff, who speak English really well. Best grilled pork roll I’ve ever tasted in Thailand!!! Overall the best place near eden beach hotel. Me and my wife had dinner every day there for 10 days and never got disappointed!

We stopped here when looking for a place for dinner which the your girls serving were so friendly and helpful. We were also surprised on the value for money we got here. Open from 8 am to 5 pm, it’s an ideal spot for breakfast or lunch during your travels. The menu boasts an impressive variety of dishes that cater to both local and international tastes.
We found this place as we were driving up to Phuket from Khao Lak. We ordered many dishes - Clear tofu soup, Tom Yum Kung, Yellow noodles, Fried Garlic chicken, Morning glory, Pad Si Yew My personal favorites were the fried garlic chicken and tom yum kung, a must have!! Thank you for the delicious meal 🙏😊

Ban Khao Lak Seafood

Mentioned on
1 list
$$$$affordable
Seafood restaurant
Ban Khao Lak Seafood is a unique restaurant that specializes in horseshoe crab eggs, which are served as a salad with mango and peanuts. Despite being located in a rather remote area, the food is great and reasonably priced. The garlic basil fried prawn and grilled live crab are particularly delicious. The menu also includes Larp Pla, sea snails, and squid in black soup made from its ink. However, the staff's demeanor may not be very welcoming despite the fantastic food.
Didn’t experience the crowd / long waiting described in the reviews. Generally, the food is great. The garlic basil fried prawn was absolutely delicious. I also ordered grilled live crab and clams, tasted really good. Not even mentioning the price was only 700b for all that plus beverages. Will be making a return for sure. The only downside is the location (which is rather remote) and the ammonia smell from the pound.
Yulong W — Google review
The food was average, and the service was okay. However, what was disappointing was that the turtles and fish were kept in concrete tanks that were dirty and filled with what appeared to be algae — far too much of it 😭😭😭
Ploy — Google review
This seafood restaurant really impressed me! The dishes were flavorful and the seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. The seafood dipping sauce was a bit too sour for my taste, but still complemented the dishes quite well. The atmosphere was great — there was live music playing while we enjoyed our meal, which made the dining experience even more relaxing. Despite being a long holiday, the place wasn’t too crowded, and the service was quick. Our food arrived faster than expected! Overall, it’s a lovely spot to enjoy good seafood with friends or family — great food, good vibes, and friendly service.
SK M — Google review
Great stop for lunch on the way to Khao Lak. Suprised to see Larp Pla on the menu, so had to order it. Wasn't disappointed, super tasty and extra spicy. Tried sea snails for the first time, and actually they were very fresh and tasted very similar to squid. The seafood sauce was excellent. Very happy with the food.
Geordie A — Google review
The restaurant serves the food not fresh ; my husband got diarrhea ( food poison) ; went to the restroom in and out for more than 10 times; we called the restaurant to let them know their food was not safe ; but the lady hang up the phone. i doubt that the steam crab was not fresh because it was not sweet and a bit salty , that’s why we didn’t eat half of it. 🥲🥲
Amy A — Google review
Interesting things to eat but only in thai. Deer, wild pig, crocodile, frog, .... Just ask. Real Thai taste not falang taste. Price was good
Volker G — Google review
The food wasn't good at all. My seafood soup tasted artificial like it was made with store brought liquid stock and the fish cakes were tasteless oily they tasted and look like defrosted food, not fresh at all. I've been eating in Thailand in many restaurants before this one and definitely can confirm this was not fresh food plus the taste was so bad I couldn't eat it.
Ella M — Google review
Absolutely delicious food. As a thai, this is one of the best restaurants around here. The server gave good recommendations, one of them was squid in black soup, which is made out of its ink. Yes, it looks scary, but was definitely the star of the show. If you like Tom Yam, you’ll love this dish! Btw it’s not spicy

Whether you're in the mood for juicy steaks or a diverse selection of vegetarian options, Ruanthai Kitchen has something to satisfy every palate. An absolute must visit when near by! They offer such a unique experience, a great variety of fresh seafood as well as a very nice selection of delicious Thai food. Other than that, all the people there are such sweethearts so that we felt very welcoming and comfortable :) The restaurant is always worth a visit!

Very good service and fresh food with good reasonable prices. Overall great for evening dinner after the pool.
Nichkamon P — Google review
I went to this place because of the good reviews. As you could expect from a place that has a menu big like a dictionary the food was average but the thing that i want everyone to know and to expect is that the waiting time is very long. Prices were the same as other places in that area. Wouldn’t go a second time.
Piturca S — Google review
My husband and I visited on a rainy afternoon yesterday, and they were kind enough to show us where to park and take us out of the rain. The food was very delicious and reasonable price. And most of all, they had kind smiles, and they observed first what we needed, and were kind enough to see. We talked that we should visit here next year as well. Thank you very much. I don't really write reviews, but I wanted to leave it here.
EUNKYUNG L — Google review
Decent food, in line with other restaurants around. Had mango salad with chiken, salad was good, chiken was a bit bland. Service was pleasant, and the atmosphere was nice. The only unnecessary thing was an old piece of laminated paper on every table with tour offers. It should be printed new and smaller to take less space on a table.
Labas L — Google review
One of the best meals of our month spent in Thailand. We were staying nearby and visited on the last night there before moving on. Big mistake!! We should have gone on the first night of our stay followed by every other night as it was so good. We called in early in the evening and made the most of the cocktails which are buy one get one free and only 140 Baht each during happy hour. Our Long Island Iced Teas were delicious, well presented and potent. They therefore qualify as the cheapest that we've had on our trip as well as some of the best and believe me we've tried many. I opted for the salmon in a creamy white wine sauce with potatoes and vegetables while Mrs. had whole steamed sea bass with spicy lemon sauce and a papaya salad. We shared mango and sticky rice to follow and ended with a coffee. The bill was very reasonable to say the least considering the quality and service. Everything that we had was absolutely delicious and very well presented. The service was spot on throughout our visit and all the staff were friendly and efficient. We would not hesitate to return.
Richard W — Google review
What a lovely Restaurant! Very lovely staff, really good and friendly service! The ordered dishes were served very quickly and tasted delicious! Real thai food, not western adjusted like in most of the other restaurants! For us the best Restaurant we visited in Khaolak!
Mat B — Google review
If you stay in South Beach, you should definitely visit Ruanthai Kitchen. The food is delicious, the best in this area. The tiger prawns are huge, the hot pan dishes are delicious. And they also serve nice steaks and have a wide variety of vegetarian food, also. What we liked the most, however, is the absolute warmth and friendliness of the staff. Heartwarming, welcoming, such nice, nice, nice people. We just loved them and wish we would have discovered this restaurant earlier. They even cared for a little boy, so a couple could eat in peace.

Stone Mountain Restaurant & Bar

Restaurant
On a rainy evening, I found myself at Stone Mountain Restaurant & Bar, where the warm hospitality of the family owners instantly made me feel at home. The ambiance was enhanced by soothing background music, and I was greeted with a delightful welcome drink. The culinary offerings were nothing short of spectacular; I highly recommend trying their green shrimp curry—it's truly a standout dish!
We went to Stone Mountain Restaurant on a rainy night. The family owning this restaurant made us feel welcome and at home, music in the background. We got a welcome drink and had the most amazing food!! Make sure to try the green shrimp curry. Absolutely amazing! But all the other food like Tom Ka Gai, deep fried prawns and club sandwich ( shame on us but we needed some comfort food) were absolutely delicious. The owners wife is a bar supervisor in a hotel and thus the cocktails are amazing!! After dinner we received oshiburis and complementary pineapple. So sweet! Since it was raining heavily, the owner took us home in his car. We are absolutely blown. This became our favorite spot at Poseidon beach and we make sure to eat there again during our stay ☺️💯🍤 Khob Khun Maak Kha 🌴

Best cocktails in khao lak if not the whole of thailand, place is run by a lovely husband and wife team who are more than happy to pick you up and drop you off. The food is great quality and cheap authentic thai food, that hasn't been dulled down for ferang taste the larb moo was some of the best I've had and thats including in essan which ia the dishes origin, batterd prawns were amazing & the tom yam was spicy and jam packed with flavor. Smooth and Comfortable Airport Experience Phuket International Airport is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. The staff is friendly, supportive, and efficient, which makes arriving and departing very smooth. Even though it’s not a large airport, that actually works in its favor less walking and quicker movement through the terminals. There are plenty of food options, both Thai and Western, especially inside the domestic terminal near Gates 36–48. Prices are reasonable, and everything is kept clean. Transportation is easy too, with cabs and shared taxis available right outside. Overall, a surprisingly comfortable and convenient airport great for both domestic and international travelers.
Anshul J — Google review
Good for local airport, clean and have free wifi, changing station, and water dispenser. The taxi charges from air port to town is crazy expensive, more recommend to call taxi by application will be more reasonable. You can use Uber, bolt and Grab. However other than Grab, driver can't pickup inside airport and to walk to outside. Other option to get in town, you can use public bus. It'll cost only 100 Baht per person.

Phuket International Airport is clean, organized, and easy to get around. Check-in and security were smooth, and there are plenty of shops and cafés to relax before the flight. Good experience overall!

Not the largest of airports but that was a positive, means you don't have to walk as much! Getting through the airport was very easy. As soon as we got out the taxi, one employee loaded all of our luggage by himself and helped us in. The airport had a great variety of stores and food options. Nothing to complain about.

Its a small airport and it was clean and easy to navigate. Immigration is rush but staffs were very supportive. Affordable food options at the first floor. Cabs and shared taxi is available outside.

The airport is user-friendly, especially the departure section. A lot of food outlets and small shops are available. Toilets are also clean. Arrival section in the international terminal can be a nightmare sometimes, with many flights arriving at the same time.

Phuket International Airport (HKT) is the main gateway to Phuket, Thailand’s largest island and a popular tourist destination. Located in the north of the island, the airport handles both domestic and international flights, connecting Phuket to major cities in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. It has three terminals: one for international flights, one for domestic, and a smaller terminal for chartered and low-cost carriers. The airport offers modern facilities, duty-free shopping, restaurants, and transport options to key tourist areas like Patong, Kata, and Karon.

Krabi International Airport

International airport
Airport
Krabi International Airport is a small but growing airport with basic amenities such as souvenir shops and eateries. Upon arrival, travelers can choose from various transportation options including shuttle buses, shared taxis, and standard taxis. The check-in process is fast and efficient, with friendly staff at the Air Asia counter. Despite its small size, the airport offers all necessary facilities and has good food options after the check-in counters.
I don't understand the hate that this Airport received apart from the total shops here and my delayed flight. Everything here is just perfect. The airport looks new and quite huge. It is easily navigated. All the custom and immigration processes went smoothly. It is just well organized. The plug socket and wifi also provided. The airport is clean especially the toilet. Muslim prayer room was also provided. The staff and officers are nice and friendly. Just that not much shop open here.

A small airport big much bigger than hatyai one. Get to the Krabi town, take minibus is 90b, less than half hour, straight drop off to your hotel. To Ao Nang, it is just 100b. Return to airport, you just need to call the phone number on the ticket, same prices, the driver will pick you up at your hotel. There are few options of free WiFi, just need to sign up. Then you get 3 hours WiFi, speed is not bad. Ais tourist SIM card is 300b for 7 days. 🎬2025.6.15/18

Krabi Airport is small but lovely, clean and easy to find people. All necessary signs were installed around the airport area. There are several shops, bakeries, restaurants, prayers rooms, café. Krabi Airport is not a shopping venue, so please don't expect to see any department store or duty free shops!

Krabi International Airport is small but efficient, with friendly staff and easy navigation. Security checks are smooth, and baggage claim doesn’t take too long. There are some restaurants and shops inside, including a few local souvenir spots. It’s a convenient gateway to southern Thailand with plenty of taxis and shuttle services outside. Clean, organized, and comfortable overall.

Spacious, well air-conditioned, clean (incl toilets). Good indications. Helpful staff. Big (and affordable) Thai and western food section at the end of the Departure hall. Both international and domestic flights are accommodated. Duty-free shopping is just getting set up (July 2025). Several ATMs in the arrival hall, after going through immigration and luggage. In low season, many taxi touts and people are clammering for business, so be tolerant. Either use the regular taxi (booths near exit) or use Grab. PA announcements are incomprehensible.

I love small international airports:) You can find different shops, a small food court. There's a good café in front of gate 11. The only issue with this airport is far from Ao Nang or Krabi city

Modern airport, not huge but feels big for the number of flights. Baggage reclaim was quick, security check was not - there was a queue despite the airport not being busy. There are a few shops and food and drink options landside but not much once airside - would suggest only going through shortly before your flight. Toilets were plentiful but could have been cleaner.

New Renovation. AirAsia check in is a separate area. Eatery before and after Security. Arrivals have plenty of Taxis. Check price to destination & agree before hopping in
