Casa Vintage Beach is a charming bar and cafe located in Gili Trawangan, Indonesia. The venue offers a unique experience with its focus on Jamaican cuisine and vintage colonial decor. Guests can enjoy the laid-back atmosphere surrounded by lush plants, large windows, and eclectic artwork while listening to oldies music. An absolutely must go when visiting Gili T. We stumbled across this place while exploring the island and it was incredible. We realised it was cash only and we didn’t have enough after sitting down. The owner was really understanding and even offered for us to pay the next day if that was easier for us. The food was 10/10. It was rich, well portioned and balanced and presented impeccably. We couldn’t decide what the best dish was as they were all amazing. We were really impressed with everything and will definitely come back when we visit again!
Lea D — Google review
The food is delicious! Although we left wishing we had tried the Grandma’s slow-cooked beef — if you’re reading this and you’re there, order it! It’s the star of the menu. The ravioli were amazing, and the service was excellent. The only downside is they only accept cash.
MARIA P — Google review
If you’re in Gili T, you have to come here! It was the best food we had on the island, and we tried quite a lot of places. The dishes are beautifully presented, generous in portion, and full of flavor. The food here is truly amazing. I had the chicken with peanut sauce and my wife had the vegan pot, both were spot on. The homemade wine is also a must-try. The place itself is beautiful, perfect for watching an amazing sunset, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Couldn’t recommend it more!
Héctor R — Google review
A MUST visit on Gili T. The food is UNBELIEVABLE. The staff are all so kind. The setting is so romantic, lovely, and chilled. A great spot for the sunset too. It can look like its not busy on arrival but there are tables right on the beach front that you cant see from the street. The ice was safe to drink and staff were kind and reassuring about not getting bali belly from their ice or drinks. The kitchen was immaculate. 100% recommend! All the food we ate was divine but definitely recommend a langos to start!
JJ W — Google review
Best place on the island!! Please do yourself a favor a try it. We asked for the mixed langos, the pineapple wine, the caribbean beef chili and jamaican chicken curry. Everything was AMAZING! So tasty, rich and visibly homemade. And the portions were really fulfilling! Also, the place was beautiful! So nicely decorated 😍 But the best was the staff! Everyone was really friendly and attentive. You can tell this people work with love.
Carola P — Google review
This must be the best tasting food on Gili T or perhaps in all of Indonesia. We shared 5 different dishes and they were just amazing. The service is also superb. This is just a unique restaurant on Gili T. It is not Indonesia classical cuisine, but the home made pasta, and ravioli with the best tasting tomato sauce in the world. The beef stew is outstanding. Have to come back to this restaurant. 💚😋
Thomas W — Google review
Impressive! Seafood and beef stew were super flavorful. Oh dont forget to order Caribbean Patty (special menu of the day we went). i really think some dishes here are worth Michelin Star.
Wijitra S — Google review
The food here is fantastic, ambience peaceful & staff are extremely lovely. We tried their chicken dish & beef chilli & mixed langos. On our first night we went & bought Nutella & took it back & asked them to make us Nutella langos like we had in the Winter European Christmas markets. So yummy & we left them the jar of Nutella so they could try. We went back on our last night for our dessert & all the staff were smiling as they all tried Nutella Langos.

Trawangan Night Market

Seafood restaurant
Indonesian restaurant
When visiting Gili Trawangan, it's important to be cautious about the local alcohol due to past issues with laced spirits. However, the island offers more than just parties and beer. The Trawangan Night Market is a popular spot for families and backpackers alike in the evening. It features open-air traditional food stalls offering affordable grilled seafood like crabs, king prawns, fish, and squid as well as local desserts.
A very nice food market only working during the night. The prices are a little high but the fish and seafood is super fresh and good. The only cons is the smoke smell that we got in all our cloths; everytime you get near a place the staff always show you the food menu with prices, but since everything is weight the price will vary. We got scammed in the total amount and we talked with the guy and everything was settled without problems. I recommend this place.
Nuno A — Google review
🐟 A Seafood Lover’s Paradise – Trawangan Night Market! 🌊🔥 If you’re on Gili Trawangan, you have to experience the night market, it’s an absolute must for foodies, especially if you love seafood! The atmosphere is hectic, loud, and totally alive, with sizzling grills, locals calling out, and travelers gathering around big communal tables. It’s chaotic in the best possible way. The variety of fresh seafood is incredible! You can pick from snapper, parrot fish, tuna, squid, octopus, prawns, shrimp, lobster, you name it, they’ll throw it on the grill for you. Everything is cooked right in front of you, served with sides like rice, veggies, or spicy sambal. The flavors are bold and authentic, and the prices are reasonable for what you get (25k/skewer+sides) It’s the kind of place where you can try something different each night, grilled fish one night, spicy octopus the next, buttery prawns after that. Nothing fancy, just fresh food, smoky flavors, and great vibes. It’s loud, it’s bustling, it’s packed and it’s one of the best food experiences on Gili T. Go hungry, grab a seat where you can, and enjoy the chaos and flavor!
Mike R — Google review
Even thought the food does that really good, it will most likely give you the Bali Belly. We had dinner there and starting the next morning we were having some belly issues. It’s not allowed to fish around the island which is why the fish comes from Bali or Lombok and is not properly cooled on the way or at the market. Wouldn’t recommend, just go to have a look and experience the atmosphere.
Leonie — Google review
Good place to have a seafood dinner at Gili Trawangan The price is quite cheap than the other restaurant, but inside the night market area there are so many tenants that selling their fish, prawn, lobster, and skewers Our tenant was Borobudur02, right in front of the entrance door. They have so many fresh seafood, also skewers. By ordering the seafood and skewers, you will get free rice and vegetables and you can refill until you fill full ✌️ They have so manu variant of sauce, but we just go with their suggestions. We ordered fish, green mussels, squid and some skewers The taste was not so good, but the meat are all very fresh so I think it will be good enough but not perfect for the taste Really recommended place in Gili Trawangan 👍
Stevie P — Google review
This is one of the best places to eat local food while on Gili Trawangan. They have a wide range of options for food from fish to meat and vegetables. If you want to experience proper local food and not get sick this is the place to come. You have different stalls to eat from. It costs approximately 250k for 2 people including 2 drinks non alcohol. This is ideal for those who want to experience local food or for those who budget travel such as backpacking.
BCL A — Google review
Visited the food night market for the experience It's was pretty crowded as you get many fresh sea food grill options here There are many stalls and pretty much all the stalls have the same dishes to offer. The rates are standard you can bargain here but we didn't bargain much Just tried one grilled snapper which was really great in taste Wanted to try more but the only con of this place is the hygiene The grill station for each stall isn't very hygienic Hence to be safe from Bali belly just tried one dish for the experience
Yasmeen S — Google review
Food was delicious! Just make sure you agree what you’re paying before. It’s per 100g NOT per fish. Our came with a plate of rice and a selection of veggie sides. Oh and neither of us got sick 🙏
Angie R — Google review
The Gili Trawangan Night Market is one of the island’s highlights and a must-visit for food lovers. Located near the harbor, it comes alive in the evening with stalls offering freshly grilled seafood, daily catches, and a variety of local Indonesian dishes. What makes it special is the casual, lively atmosphere — you can pick your seafood, have it grilled on the spot, and enjoy it right by the sea. The prices are reasonable for the quality and freshness, making it a great option compared to typical beachfront restaurants. It’s the perfect place to experience the island’s laid-back vibe while indulging in authentic flavors. Whether you’re craving grilled fish, satay, or simply want to explore the local food scene, the night market never disappoints.

Regina Pizzeria

Mentioned on

$$$$affordable
Pizza restaurant
Regina Pizzeria, located in Gili Trawangan, is often hailed as having the best pizza on the island and even in all of Asia by some. This Italian-run pizzeria serves authentic pizzas cooked to perfection in wood fire ovens. The portions are generous and delicious, making them perfect for sharing. If you're craving a good Italian meal, Regina Pizzeria is the place to go with its range of pizzas at reasonable prices.
The best pizza I have had in my life! Antonio came to this island 16 years ago. And my god what a simple and amazing taste. I also bake so I asked him for his secret and he smiled and replied “it’s just flour, water and salt” Everything from the dough, the cheese and the meat it’s exceptional. The pizza sauce is too good and blends perfectly. It’s a must try!!!
Prashanth D — Google review
Regina Pizzeria has a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere that truly feels Italian, bringing people together around the table to share food and conversation. It has the charm of a classic Italian restaurant, but in a simple, open space, near the beach. The place feels cosy and welcoming, with a menu full of pizza and pasta options. The pizzas are delicious. One pizza can serve one to two people, and there is a great variety of flavours. You can also ask for half-and-half pizzas, which is a great way to try more of what they offer. The crust is thin, the flavour is excellent, and the pizzas are baked in a wood-fired oven. All the favours I tried were delicious. Highly recommend
Arthur A — Google review
After ten days of local food, we were ready for a little taste of home — and this place absolutely delivered. Tucked away off the beaten track, this small Thai-run restaurant might look unassuming, but it’s clearly earned its five star Google reviews. The pizzas were fast, fresh, generously sized, and frankly better than the ones we recently had in Milan. You’re greeted by the sight (and smell) of a big brick pizza oven — an instant reassurance that you’re in for something good. I had the salami with fresh pesto and couldn’t help wondering why I’ve never seen that combination before. My wife chose the tuna and onion, which was equally delicious. Dessert is served from a dedicated gelato stall within the restaurant itself — again, as good as anything you’d find in Italy. All in all, a fantastic find and a much-needed western food fix.
Gilo — Google review
We had a great dinner here with my family. The pizzas are really good, crispy thin and with good toppings. We also had spaghetti Carbonara, raviolis with ricotta and raviolis with beef ragu and beef filling . I highly recommend the Beef raviolis. Only downside, taxes are not included in the price (10%) i think they should be specified more clearly. All in all a very good experience, you get a lot of Parmesan cheese with each meal !!! Thanks for an amazing dinner.
Alan B — Google review
Good place for Italian meal . You have all kind of pizza, and spagitte all king. Teasty and large. Fast service. Pizza is only one size so if you are a single it is a problem :( The also have an ice cream on the front. Only 5-6 teast but delicious. You can also get icecream from the front. The place is a little bit to big so not perfect for romantic meal.
Bar S — Google review
Ordered the funghi and water. Loved that I didn’t have to specify extra crispy. All components were well prepared and the ratios made sense. I like my pizza sauce a bit less sweet, but it wouldn’t keep me from eating here again. Saved the crusts and ate them later. Recommend.
Amy C — Google review
The best place to eat on the island. The owner is extremely hands on to maintain quality and service is super quick. Prices are great. I had the aubergine 🍆 and margarita , my wife had the spaghetti 🍝. Both were excellent. Its open for dinner only.
Rohit M — Google review
This amazing Pizzeria on a small island, serves pizzas that taste close to pizzas in Napoli which itself is a great achievement. I was in Gili T for 5 nights and visited Regina Pizzeria on 3 nights. Every time my meal was wonderful and left happy.

Kayu Cafe and Restaurant

Restaurant
Kayu Cafe and Restaurant is a beachfront eatery in Gili Trawangan that offers a blend of Indonesian and Western cuisine. The cafe prides itself on its environmentally friendly practices, using alternatives to single-use plastics. Its rustic wooden decor and chalkboard menu create a laid-back atmosphere reminiscent of independent cafes in British Columbia, Canada. The menu features healthy options catering to raw, vegan, and organic diets.
I’ve been to this café a few times and it’s quickly become one of my favorite spots. The coffee is excellent — rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. The pastries and light bites are fresh and tasty, perfect for pairing with a latte or cappuccino. They also offer brunch food. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, with just the right vibe for working, reading, or catching up with friends. Staff are friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. A great spot if you’re looking for quality coffee or a place to have breakfast or brunch and a comfortable place to spend time.

Kaju Café on the Gili Islands is such a great spot, which made my experience in the island even better! They have so many healthy options to choose from, everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was incredibly fast, kind, and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. My friend has celiac disease, and we were so happy to find that Kaju Café offers plenty of tasty gluten-free options. It’s not easy to find places that cater so well to dietary needs, but they did an amazing job. Highly recommend this café if you’re looking for healthy, delicious food and wonderful service in a relaxed island setting! 🌿🥑☀️

Very good cafe this is a must go in Gili T. We had the best coffee in the island very taste and great quality. We order a cinnamon roll and a banoffee both super taste fresh and high quality. Best customer service from all staff but special from Aldy very lovely and adorable person. Thank you so much for the perfect atmosphere and great quality of food and service. We will be back for sure.

Awesome! The Best on Island! My birthday was celebrated there, they came to our table and suprised me with a cake and candle. It was such a heartwarming moment, I will never forget. Everyone has a smile on their face! Astri was a cute and happy girl that helped us a lot! She was very helpful and had always a smile on her face. Would go to Kayu once again just to say thank you to her and team❤️

She’s incredibly kind, always smiling, and provides such warm and attentive service. She really makes everyone feel welcome. Highly recommend stopping by Kayu Café if you’re in Gili T — great vibes, amazing food, and wonderful staff like Astriani who make the experience unforgettable. 🌴☕✨

This cafe has a unique atmosphere. I've been here several times and have always been warmly welcomed by the staff. I ordered a chicken panini and a smoothie bowl, and they were delicious. Thank you everyone, especially Adrian, he was a wonderful server, providing all the information needed to have a great time. I'll be back next year, guys. 🫶🫶🫶
Nienke K — Google review
I have now visited the café twice: first for a takeaway order, and today for an on-site breakfast. The quality of the food and drinks is consistently very good and delicious. Unfortunately, the service during my second visit was extremely unpleasant. The staff seemed very arrogant and unnatural (or 'pretentious'), which severely detracted from the experience. This is particularly disappointing as the service everywhere else on the island was so friendly and accommodating.

Pearl Beach Lounge is a unique beachfront restaurant and lounge located in Gili Trawangan, Indonesia. The two-story structure is constructed almost entirely of bamboo, giving it a distinct and beautiful appearance. It offers a laid-back nightlife atmosphere where guests can enjoy fantastic meals under the roof or relax on the beach with a bottle of beer on beanbags and loungers. The oceanfront location provides stunning views of the horizon, complemented by the sound of crashing waves blending with lively music at night.
Stayed at Pearl for a week, breakfast is amazing and every single dish I ordered at dinner was perfect. Risotto, pad thai, ribeye and dessert. This restaurant is the best!!
Patrick K — Google review
I’ve been to Pearl more than once. The first time it was for dinner with friends. We’ve had the Green Papaya salad, Ribeye, Fruit Juices and Gili Nut for dessert. The place is very fancy with a great atmosphere, low light, faces the beach and it’s all open, and you can feel the breeze coming from the sea. We’ve received welcome focaccia bread. Amazing. The only issue was related to the safety. We’re at the second floor, and there’s a step not identified, and I almost fell over. Unfortunately, one of my friends fell over and almost hurt herself on the same step. Apart from it, the rest of the experience has been great.
Fabiana R — Google review
Good food and very friendly staff. The atmosphere is nice and a bit cozy, but a few things pulled the experience down slightly. The tables were soft and uneven, which made it tricky to place a glass or bottle of water without it wobbling. The floor also made quite a lot of noise when walked on, and the lighting was a bit dark, which might bother some people during dinner. That said, the food itself was solid – especially the desserts, which were large, rich, and beautifully presented. Prices were on the higher side for the island, but you get what you pay for in terms of quality. If you’re already nearby, it’s a great place to dine. However, if you have the option, I’d recommend checking out their sister restaurant, Cloud 9, which gave us an even better all-round experience.
Alexander P — Google review
Beautiful ambiance and flavorful dishes. The mie goreng was rich and satisfying, with crispy crackers and sambal adding a great touch. The curry was creamy and aromatic, and the roti with dips brought a fun fusion element. A cozy, well-executed dining experience in Bali.

The food was good, the chicken burger was pretty tasty, and the rice paper rolls was a good starter. Service was great, super friendly and helpful.

We stopped by to look at the delicious menu and decided to do a quick lunch. Turned out to be the best meal here so far! Roasted mushroom pasta was super yummy and you can taste the butter used for this dish. Catch of the day was Tuna and they grilled it just right since tuna can easily become dry and tough. Service was swift! Well done guys!
Ashley T — Google review
I had dinner at Pearl Beach Lounge, and the experience was delightful. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The hummus was tasty, though a bit hard, perhaps a bit more olive oil could make it softer and fresher when served. The beef dish was enjoyable, even though I'm not a beef expert. The ambiance was warm and cozy, with a busy yet peaceful atmosphere that allowed me to enjoy my meal in peace. Overall, a great place for a relaxing dinner!
Nabila A — Google review
The food was great. Found this on my 3rd day at Gili and wished I tried it earlier. We tried the beef quesadilla, hummus, goat tacos, mushroom risotto (not actually rice), brownie (more like a cake but huge and nice) and the apple crumble 👌Also had most of their breakfast options as we stayed at the hotel. Also recommended. Staff is very nice and prices on the menu are net (all restaurants in island add around another 20% for service and tax). This makes the prices even better than others. Well worth it and great view from upstairs.

This restaurant offers a fusion of Asian and western cuisine, featuring an array of delectable dishes such as stir fries, salads, burgers, wraps, curries and their renowned peanut butter burger.
We ate here on our second to last night in Gili T and the food was so delicious that we came back on our last evening ! By far the best food we’ve had on the island and very reasonable prices too. The service is very efficient and the staff are so friendly. Would recommend the Malaysian curry and mocha cheesecake !
Sam A — Google review
Rich, bold, and everything you’d want in a comforting Indonesian dish. The beef rendang here is slow-cooked to perfection—so tender it practically falls apart with each bite. The sauce is a beautiful blend of coconut, herbs, and spices that builds up with a gentle kick of heat—just enough to warm the soul without overwhelming the palate. Served with a side of vibrant sautéed kangkung and fluffy rice, this dish is a flavour-packed hug on a plate. Out of everything I tried at Jali Kitchen, it’s this bowl of Thai green curry that made me want to come back before I even left. Creamy, aromatic, and perfectly balanced—the coconut milk base is velvety and rich without feeling heavy, and the herbs and spices hit all the right notes. Each spoonful is layered with tender chunks of chicken, fresh vegetables, and just the right amount of heat. Topped with crispy shallots and served with steamed rice, it’s comfort food that doesn’t try too hard—it just is that good.

I recently had the pleasure of dining, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience! The food was genuinely great, and I particularly recommend trying the Malaysian curry 🍛; it was bursting with flavor. The staff were super friendly 😊, making the whole meal even more enjoyable. Jali Kitchen offers an unforgettable culinary experience that should frankly be illegal for being this good! This might be a super underrated spot, perhaps due to its slightly more inland location on Gili Trawangan, but it absolutely deserves far more visitors. The Trawangan Super cocktail is an absolute must-try; it's so dazzlingly good, you'll lose track of how many you've had. Don't miss their tempeh, creatively prepared in a variety of delicious ways. For a main course, the Nasi Goreng Ala Jali is truly amazing. To top it all off, the Coconut Lemon Cake is as spectacular as the cocktail, providing a perfect end to a fantastic meal.

I have passed this place 200+ times. Today I finally took the plunge and had the half chicken with gravy. It was excellent. Falls off the bone. The gravy is lovely, really well priced. Went in mid afternoon, only customer there. Ordered fish and chips and a smoothie. Smoothie came in a decent time. Was a very good smoothie. Fish and chips just didn't come. 30 minutes later after asking 3 people where it was one lady told me they couldn't do fish and chips for some reason. I suspect they just forgot to add it to the order. Although how you forget half of my order when I'm the only person there I don't know.

The best restaurant on Gili T... the food is great, the ambiance is good, and the service is superb. It is located right in front of the beach. They provided amazing birthday decorations for my wife. If you are celebrating on Gili T, this is one of the restaurants to consider. Recommended! The lava cake dessert is a must-order; it is so good!

Avoid!! Bland over priced food. I got a curry which was cold and flavourless, my partner got a chicken dish which tasted funny. Her glass of wine wasn’t cold either. We ate half our meals and just left. Nice setting but the food didn’t match the view. Service charge and tax most expensive I’ve seen in my time in Bali and Gili. Be careful there are much better places to eat on Gili.

Our favourite meal on the island! We were greeted with a smile by Komang who invited us to dinner that evening, and luckily enough we had him as our server! Komang was wonderful, he gave us a list of recommendations to do across Bali and was a joy to speak with. The food was also delicious! We had the special of the day which was the clam pasta, and my partner and I agreed it was one of the best pasta dishes we have ever had! We were also sat right bedside the ocean which was stunning. Thank you Komang! x

Service was a bit slow, and there was a small mix-up—the waitress said the juice prices included tax and service, but they didn’t. Not a huge deal, just a bit annoying to end up paying 145,000 for two juices. They were cold and refreshing, but for that price, I could’ve enjoyed poolside service elsewhere on the island

Went here for my birthday dinner. Had the beef tenderloin and it was amazing. Unbeknownst to me my girlfriend had organised a special set up. Staff were very friendly and attentive and made my birthday a special occasion. Would definitely recommend.

We went for dinner tonight and ordered a BBQ seafood platter, a fish platter, octopus salad, and pasta. The BBQ seafood platter, supposedly for 2 people, was barely enough for 1. The tuna was heavily overcooked, and the rest was mediocre as well. The rice was dry. The octopus salad consisted of a single burnt, overcooked piece of octopus placed on lettuce leaves. The pasta, however, was good. Since there’s an additional 21% service charge and tax, the meal turned out to be very expensive for such poor quality. We are food lovers and enjoy good meals, but this was our first time relying on Tripadvisor reviews and being completely misled! We do not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

In a bit quieter area of Gili T, beautiful spot on the beach. Had one of our best meals, you have to order the local Taliwang chicken. They also have a nice rooftop to enjoy a cocktail.

Restaurant
Karma Kayak is a tranquil dining spot nestled in the northern part of Gili Trawangan, located within a resort on the island. Guests can savor Spanish tapas for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as indulge in bonfire BBQ. The restaurant offers a serene ambiance where patrons can dine on the sandy beach and even take a refreshing swim while waiting for their meals.
Karma Kayak is a comfortable and cute resort in the north of Gili T. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed our time. The beachfront access is really convenient with frequent turtle sightings a few metres out to shore. The service from Grace, Risman and the rest of the staff was great and they were always willing to help. Breakfast was included in our stay and the options were fantastic - I suggest getting the french toast for breakfast and Korean tofu for lunch or dinner. If you do not want to walk with a lot of luggage then this may not be the best place for you. We refused to use the horse and kart service on the island as many of the horses do not look happy.

Amazing food and helpful staff! You don’t have to pay for a sun bed or beanbag if you are buying a drink or food. This is great as the setting is perfect by the beach. Not far from places to hire snorkel gear if needed. You can easily snorkel straight from here. The food is amazing with plenty of choice. The staff are very helpful and polite.

Loved, loved, loved the restaurant here. Food was delicious! Out of our five dinners, we had every dinner here. Great choice of food that is different, but not too different, from the usual fare. Vegans and vegetarians catered for too. The staff were friendly and polite. We will definitely miss this place!! ❤️

This was honestly the best burger I’ve ever had! It’s my second year visiting Gili T, and I always make sure to come back here just for their burger, they’re that good. The patty is juicy, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor, with fresh ingredients that make every bite enjoyable. The portion size is great too, definitely worth the price. I also tried the sangria, which was nicely served and refreshing. It might be missing a little touch of cinnamon to make it perfect, but overall it was still very good, especially for the price. The atmosphere of the place is relaxed and welcoming, perfect for enjoying a meal after a long day on the island. The staff are friendly and attentive, which adds to the experience. I’ll definitely keep coming back every time I’m on Gili T.

So great a place🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We stayed here for 7 days and we didn’t regret choosing this part of the island for a second! The North part is more quiet that the busy Main Street in the east. But other restaurants still accessible on foot or by bike. If you want to explore the island, pls. Rent a bike or e-motorbike. The week we stayed here we didn’t experience this side as windy as the other parts. The staff was perfect - funny and very helpful. The owner is a nice Dutch woman who make sure that the rooms as well as the restaurant is clean. Breakfast is nice and served by the beach 🏖️ Turtles is just at the shore 🐢in shallow water;) Have to add that the duvets and pillows are really good 👍 Recommend this place☀️

Me and my partner went here for dinner last night, the service was exceptional. The staff were very welcoming, professional and polite. The food was also really great, we had a mix of things from the tapas menu. Location was really nice with nice lighting everywhere! Highly recommend.

We ordered lunch here and we had a great time. There are places to sit and lie on the beach, in the sun and shadow. The music was chill and service was good. There was enough vegetarian and vegan food and different styles (tacos, korean, tapas, etc)

Not sure about the hotel. But the beach restaurant it’s really good! Good food or good value. We’ve been to a few others beach restaurants in Gili t and this is so far the best.

Tiki bar
Tiki Grove is a laid-back tiki bar that provides a relaxed atmosphere under a charming thatched roof. It offers an array of Mexican delicacies, including tacos made with fresh ingredients, along with an assortment of creative cocktails and ice-cold beers. The owners have cultivated a warm and inviting ambiance, especially in the evenings when the torches are illuminated.
Lives up to the hype! Service was so quick, so attentive. Given fan and bug spray on arrival for each table. The atmosphere is really nice with the decor and lighting. the food was delicious!! Mexican chicken and pulled chicken tacos had so much flavour. Their own tiki hot sauce is probably my favourite sauce. It has a heat that is enjoyable and tasty.

Great food, friendly service, and excellent value! We ate at Tiki Groove twice during our stay – the food was so good we had to come back! The service is excellent, and a nice touch is that they offer mosquito spray when you arrive, which shows they really care about their guests. The prices are also very reasonable considering the quality. We especially loved the tacos, which come with their own signature hot sauce – you can choose between medium or strong, and both are delicious. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth a visit!

Tiki Groove is awesome! This is our go-to restaurant because the food—or should I say the cocktails—are that good. The tacos with their signature hot sauce were our favourite — so tasty! The staff are super friendly, and I loved that they offer mosquito spray and a fan to keep cool. Shows they really care about making you comfortable. Prices were totally reasonable for how good the food is. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you’re around! Make sure you book as you don’t want to miss out! P.S. Grad some merch I'm in love with my new T-Shirt

We had the absolute best time at Tiki Grove for dinner this week! The staff are super lovely and got us set up straight away with handheld fans and bug spray while we looked over the menu. The food was absolutely delicious, we ordered the veggie tacos and one without tomato salsa as I am not keen on tomato’s and I was offered pineapple salsa as a replacement and it was delicious! The vibe in the restaurant is immaculate, the lighting and the decorations are just beautiful. On our way out a member of staff (didn’t catch the name sorry!) saw we had an empty water bottle and asked if we would like it refilled. It was very kind and we are very grateful! Planning on coming back for dinner again before we leave Gili T! ☺️

The tacos here are fantastic! I was considering having another order, but i settled on their lemon tart for dessert instead and was not disappointed! I also had two Bloody Mary's and was very pleased with how well they were made. It's hard to find a place that knows how to make a decent drink, especially a bloody mary. They provided excellent service, and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend for any occasion!

I want to quit my job and move to Gili so I can eat here every single night. The food, the cocktails, the service.. everything was 5 star. We had a big group of 16 ppl and our lovely server Miff remembered all of our names and managed to give us all individual cheques that were perfect every time. We made our way through the cocktail menu and every drink was a stand out. The chicken bites were AMAZING and I’ll be trying and failing to recreate them at home. This was my favourite restaurant in Gili and I’ll be telling everyone I know who goes there to visit Tiki Grove!

Amazing restaurant! The food and atmosphere here is incredible, we loved everything about it. The tacos and the fries were perfect, and the drinks were great (strong) but tasted great. The staff and setting is perfect, everyone is so helpful and attentive and a real nice buzz around.

Love this place, one of the best places to eat at on Gili T. We went there three times during our short stay on the island and tried most dishes on the menu. The food is consistently amazing! The atmoshpere is vibrant and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Everytime we went there the place was packed and we had no reservation, but we didn’t have to wait long before we got a table. Their hot sauce also definately adds an extra kick to the experience, it is so good we bought one to take back with us. And the Chocolate tart dessert is next level…. Must try! Thank you Tiki Grove.

I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport

International airport
Airport
I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar International, is the main gateway to Bali. Situated in the southern part of the island, it hosts numerous international and domestic flights daily. The airport is conveniently located near various accommodations such as Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua and Maya Sanur Resort & Spa, both offering seamless transfers from the airport.
Bali Airport (Ngurah Rai International Airport) is well-maintained and offers a pleasant experience for travelers. There are plenty of good eateries and shopping options throughout the terminal. A nice touch is the availability of foot massage services inside the airport, which can be a great way to relax before or after a flight. The washrooms are generally clean and thoughtfully decorated with fresh flowers, adding a refreshing, local touch. Additionally, the Klook or Grab pickup point features an air-conditioned seating lounge, which is very convenient, especially when waiting for your ride. Flights get rescheduled/delayed quite often so check and confirm before you reach airport. Overall, the airport provides a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere for both arrivals and departures.

A great airport experience! Ngurah Rai International Airport is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. The staff were friendly and helpful, from immigration to security. There are plenty of shops, cafes, and souvenir stores to enjoy while waiting for your flight. The traditional Balinese design elements throughout the terminal add a unique cultural touch. Everything ran smoothly, and I was impressed by the efficiency and atmosphere. Highly recommended for travelers coming to or leaving Bali!

I like the arrival terminal more than the departure one. The arrival is way more beautiful, you can find dozens of food stalls and affordable minimarket. While in the departure, things are so expensive and only limited food stalls are available. However the staff in both terminal are nice and friendly.

🌍 Good international airport overall especially great for departures. The departure process is smooth and well-organized, with a clean and modern terminal. ✈️ Arrivals are decent, but be prepared for long lines at visa on arrival, immigration, and customs. It can easily take 2 to 3 hours just to get through everything, especially during peak times. 💰 Currency exchange rates at the airport are very high, so it’s better to exchange only a small amount here and look for better rates in the city. 💧One important note: You are not allowed to bring even sealed water bottles past security. You’ll need to buy water after the security check, so keep that in mind –l water is treated like a precious commodity inside the airport. Overall, a good airport with modern facilities, but prepare for a slow arrival process and some inconveniences related to costs and waiting times.

Pretty cool airport—modern and clean with lots of motorbikes and taxis available right outside. When I arrived it wasn’t busy at all, which made it easy to get through. There are also plenty of restaurants and coffee shops to choose from. One tip: I got my visa through the computer kiosk before baggage claim, but then I still waited in the long line not realizing I could bypass it. The long lines are really for people getting their visa in person and maybe paying cash. If you fill out the arrival card online ahead of time and use the kiosk, you can skip that line completely. It’s an easy process and much faster.
Lydia C — Google review
Upon arrival, everything was surprisingly seamless and efficient. The process flowed smoothly from immigration to baggage claim, and I was out of the airport within about 30 minutes of landing, which was impressive. One unique touch I really appreciated was at baggage claim — there was someone standing with a pillow to catch luggage as it came off the belt to prevent bags from slamming or getting damaged. A small detail, but one that stood out and felt thoughtful. When exiting baggage claim, you’re immediately greeted by beautiful greenery, which makes for a warm and inviting first impression of Bali. It felt like a gentle welcome into the island’s nature-filled aesthetic. I stayed at the Novotel Airport Hotel, and while the location is incredibly convenient, navigating to it was not. There are no clear signs that say “Novotel”, so I ended up confused, wandering through a parking garage and even passing construction areas. It felt awkward and far more chaotic than it should have been. Only the next day did I discover there is a direct and simple path that connects the airport to the hotel internally — I just hadn’t been guided the right way. Better signage or staff direction would make a huge difference for first-time guests. The departure experience was less smooth. It was difficult to get assistance and felt confusing at times. The airport app and staff both informed me that my flight was delayed, but it turned out not to be delayed, which created unnecessary stress. There was also a moment at check-in where they tried to have me sign a waiver for damage to my luggage — damage that had actually occurred on my arrival. I declined to sign, but it still made the process uncomfortable and unclear. Bali’s airport has charm, thoughtful touches, and efficiency on arrival — but navigation and communication could be better, especially for hotel access and departure procedures. Still, between the warm welcome, friendly first impressions, and airport amenities, I’d travel through here again — just a little more prepared next time.
Latisha D — Google review
The international departure area of Bali’s Ngurah Rai Airport is spacious, clean, and fairly well-organised. While there are only two main lounges on the 2nd floor, the terminal makes up for it with plenty of shops and dining options—especially on the first floor, where you’ll find a wide variety of local and international brands. Everything on the departure side feels smooth and pleasant, with clear signage and helpful staff. However, the arrival experience can be quite hectic. Baggage claim tends to be slow, and the crowds at immigration can feel overwhelming during peak hours. Still, once you’re past that, the departure experience is relatively relaxed and easy to navigate. If they can fix the hectic chaos at the arrival side, then it would be perfect

Lombok International Airport

International airport
Lombok International Airport (LOP) serves as the gateway to a diverse range of attractions. The west coast, north of Sengigi and the serene islands near Bangko Bangko, offer surfing opportunities for both beginners and experienced surfers. The south coast is characterized by cliffs, rocky terrain, and deep bays that provide flexibility in swell size. While the three Gili Islands are popular destinations, the main island of Lombok and the South Gili Islands have much to offer adventurous divers.
Lombok 🇮🇩 International Airport 🛃🛅🛄🛂 is either recently renovated or newly built. It’s impressive because the design uses colour, space and light smartly. 😎 Being new, it has a high ceiling and the ceiling allows ample ambient 🌅lights into the building. The walls are also in white bright colour tones and this gives it a Big Spacious feel, very welcoming. 😊 (See my pictures 📸 and video 🎥) The airport ✈️ reallocated the pick up points to be much further back. This is a brilliant 💡 design consideration. Instead of pick-up right at the front door and you have hundreds of people 🧑‍🧑‍🧒🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒🧑‍🧒‍🧒crowding around and holding up name boards, it gives the opportunity for the passengers to walk 🚶‍♀️🚶🚶‍♂️out to a more spacious area to find their pick drivers 🚙🚗🚕. On departure, there are lots of restaurants to eat 🍔🍜🥘from including a Starbucks café ☕️. You have Indonesia Food, Western, Sandwich…etc and some shopping 🛍️ areas in the middle. The domestic flights 🛩️ are separated from the international flight 🛫area and both have ample space to wait, charge your mobile devices 🔋🪫and eat 🍴🍽️comfortably. I enjoy coming to this airport. So if you are departing, do come early and just hang around. If you are lucky like me, you might even catch a live performance! 😜

1 hour to get luggage and they opened it forcefully instead of using TSA approved lock on my samsonite. Damaged zipper and damaged wheels. I know my bag was opened because it was arranged differently when opened at hotel. Never keep valuables in your suitcase. Update: turns out security dropped items from my suitcase, did not admit or report and tried to cover it up.

Lombok International Airport is very clean and relatively small, with fast service—perhaps because there isn’t much traffic. However, I was quite disappointed with the accessibility features. The escalator and elevator are unusable if you arrive from the domestic terminal, so passengers must use the stairs to reach the baggage claim area. This can be very inconvenient for people with disabilities or those traveling with heavy luggage.

I had a deeply unpleasant and distressing experience with an immigration officer at Gate 6, Counter 5 on 27 July 2025, around 5:30 PM, during the processing for Flight QZ 463 to Kuala Lumpur. While lining up for immigration, I noticed travelers in front of me handing their passports together. Thinking it was allowed, I called my sister—who was behind me—to hand our passports together. However, the officer became angry and shouted at me, saying passport must be handed one by one. I immediately apologized, that I misunderstood the process (this was my 1st time travelling abroad). I thought the issue was settled—but it escalated further. When it was my sister’s turn, the officer HELD HER PASSPORT and instructed her to step aside WITHOUT GIVING ANY REASON. He also shouted at me and my friends, ordering us to not wait for my sister and to proceed to the waiting area. When we asked another officer why her passport was being held, we were bluntly told to "ikut perintah" (“follow orders”), with no explanation. I told the others to go ahead, but I stayed behind because I was worried for my sister. Eventually, after all the other travellers had been processed, (took nearly 20 minutes. Our boarding time was 5.40pm) the officer called and returned her passport and scolded her, saying not to behave like that again and to “be respectful.” This entire situation was extremely upsetting. The officer’s behavior was not only unprofessional and inappropriate—it was an abuse of authority. His actions created a hostile and intimidating environment and left us feeling humiliated and traumatized. This experience has completely discouraged us from ever visiting Indonesia again. I will not be recommending Lombok to any of my friends. I strongly urge the relevant authorities to investigate this matter and ensure no other travelers are subjected to such treatment.

Spacious, clean, not crowded. Cleared international customs in 5minutes. Lots of eateries (even Starbucks) and shops for you to do final shopping. Make sure you eat before going to the international gates as they only have like a 7-eleven once you are at the international gates area. Toilets are clean. This airport beats Bali, Phuket, BKK. There’s even a virtual desk in case you need assistance. There’s free wifi provided.
