Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary is a charming and educational zoo dedicated to providing a safe haven for rescued and rehabilitated animals. Unlike traditional zoos, it does not breed, sell, or trade animals. The sanctuary features diverse habitats housing a variety of creatures including monkeys, tigers, bears, wolves, and big cats. Visitors can participate in interactive educational programs and enjoy seasonal events like 'ZooLights.'
A wedding at the zoo?! This was the most magical experience we could’ve ever asked for. From beginning to end the zoo team were absolutely incredible and we were so lucky to have had this dream opportunity! The little details and stories the docents told were just the cherry on top of an already perfect day! We love visiting the animals here and it’s such a special reminder of our wedding day.

Love this place. Never disappointed. Love the people that work there. Appreciate them very much. You can tell they love the animals and they take great care of them. The precious animals are so sweet. I’m glad this facility exists so that we can be a part of their lives and they can be a part of our lives. A lot of hard work and effort goes into this facility. It’s clean. It’s well maintained. I enjoy going here every time.
Lynda S — Google review
Amazing little zoo. The animals are well cared for and the docent was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I love seeing all bear, sand cat and mountain lion. You do need to have patience to wait around and look for the animals as they can be resting all the way at the back when it’s hot. But incredibly worth the experience for just $10. Definitely will revisit

Above is $10.

I extended an invitation to another couple, my best friend and her husband, to celebrate my birthday with my husband and me on Halloween. I have a particular fondness for wolves and ravens, and I have previously visited this sanctuary on several occasions. It is important to note that this sanctuary differs significantly from conventional zoos. The animals housed here are not merely confined; rather, they reside voluntarily due to their inability to thrive in their natural habitats for various reasons. Each animal's unique history is thoughtfully presented below their enclosure for visitors to learn about as they observe them. The animals at this sanctuary are remarkably intelligent and responsive to human interaction, often engaging in reciprocal communication. This sanctuary is my preferred destination, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has not yet had the opportunity to experience it. I am personally grateful for the chance to visit, as each experience offers a distinct and enriching perspective. CLynn

Went for a quick walk last Saturday, the Zoo is small but your way around it and how everything is distributed made it a very enjoyable experience, entry is only $10 so give it a try!
Ramon R — Google review
The zoo / sanctuary was so much better than we’d expected. We thought it would be small, but actually, we spent a good two hours there I lived the written stories of the animals and the very clear, educational descriptions. The staff, at the entry, the gift shop, and in the zoo, were friendly, knowledgeable and approachable, happy to speak with zoo visitors. there are ramps everywhere, so this is easy to navigate with strollers Highly recommended, especially for children
Rebecca M — Google review
This zoo truly is a sanctuary, not just for the animals but for a busy minded person such as myself, it’s the perfect place to feel calm and at peace. The animals are all rescued and they have such unique personalities. I love Pogo, the cockatoo, the best. He loves to dance if you play music for him and it’s the cutest! I also love that the park is just beside it, as well as the train, and some awesome walking trails behind the park. It makes for a great day with the littles for sure.

Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park

State park
Sights & Landmarks
Folsom Powerhouse State Historic Park is a popular state park featuring the first distribution point for electricity in a major city in 1895. The museum section of the park offers educational opportunities for kids to learn about electricity by pushing buttons, while the actual powerhouse showcases an epic history of how everything was constructed and transported with many historical photographs available. Additionally, docents are knowledgeable and explain operational processes from when the powerhouse was in use.
Go down the hill and check out the inside of the powerhouse! The interpreters were great! Super knowledgeable and fun! There’s also nice walking paths and lots of historic pictures. This is Californias first power generation facility.
Bartellj — Google review
This place has an interesting history. If you happen to be in Folsom, this is the one two of their biggest attractions.

Deserves a visit. Also nice views and access to Lake Natoma

Great park to visit! Took my pup there too, he loved it as well!
Anastasia E — Google review
It sure has changed over the last 20 years or so. Very informative.
Joseph B — Google review
It was beautiful place to hangout with friends and families, smiles real nature, just do 15 deep breath and enjoy the weather. Most people around there takes there their dogs for waking. There are a couple of tables for eating foods or breakfast, but not sure if allowed to barbecue because I didn’t see any thing for barbecue, but lots of restaurants nearby, restrooms 🚽 are available for people during daytime. I really like it.... walking, hiking, riding .....
Sayed A — Google review
Great place to visit and learn about the areas history of generating electricity. The main powerhouse has an impressive wall of granite, and learning how it was all constructed was very interesting. Inside the park building there are science demonstrations to help explain electricity to kids.
Anon Y — Google review
Nice little museum close the the historic Folsom town center. Parking is 10$, but it's well worth the visit as it is an amazingly preserved hydro electric station that wasone of the first to generate electricity for Sacramento back in 1895. It was operational until the 50s and then became a preserved park hence all the original equipment from the era.

Theaters
The Harris Center for the Arts, located at Folsom Lake College, is a premier performing arts venue offering a diverse array of cultural events. With three distinct stages, the center hosts classical and contemporary concerts, ballets, theater productions, and art exhibitions featuring both local and international talent. In addition to performances, the center provides educational workshops, lectures, and classes for all ages to promote artistic expression within the community.
This was our first time attending the Harris Center. So impressed. Staff was polite and helpful. Not sure if they were paid or volunteers but they were awesome. I brought in a light sweatshirt and was glad I did. The AC was working very well. Parking was provided, it requires a dashboard pass. I believe it is provided with ticket purchase. Since my wife bought the Tix, not sure if it cost extra. This is not a huge auditorium. In fact for the band we saw, Piano Men: Generations it was just right. The band seemed to really be enjoying themselves, audience interaction was high, a very intimate setting. We are planning to attend more events at this venue.
Dan A — Google review
The show was great and every seat in the Harris Center had a good view. The people working the event were cool, opening the doors for you and finding your seat. I went to see Big Mike Hart.
Van D — Google review
What a beautiful arts center. I will definitely be enjoying their Off Broadway season (The line up looks amazing). It's the perfect size to to really enjoy the shows. It feels almost intimate and I'm certain you would have a great view from anywhere in the theater. Shout-out to the Panto Company children's theater for putting on a a fun interactive show.
Twisted A — Google review
Came here to see Shen Yun, plenty of parking, parking was cheap. The tickets were average $140 PP, perfect for folks who enjoys performing arts, ballet and folk tales. The seats were small, with worn cushions, And not meant for sitting for long periods and this show was over 2 hours long. They serve water, coffee and sparkling water during pre-show and intermission. There were no other drink options: No cocktails or wine. Overall it was a cool experience. The Harris center appears to be under construction so hopefully they will update the seats as everything looks outdated. Easy access to restaurants and freeway near by. They feature many different shows here. I hope they would update their menu with more snacks and drinks to include alcohol and better variety. **Don’t forget to follow me on IG for more great places to check out Follow...@Only1ChristineLu **

Easy parking and a nice drop off location for anyone who may have difficulty walking. The facility is clean, seat cushions are pretty comfy and the staff is welcoming and accommodating. The temperature inside is great but sitting under an air pathway it was a little chilly...only because the air was a direct hit. I didnt need one, but someone might bring a light sweater in the summer. We saw the Cinderella ballet and it was a great show, didn't disappoint!
Brett S — Google review
Saw a delightful presentation of Mary Poppins the Musical put on by a very talented and well directed kids theater troupe! From acting to singing to staging to scenery to props to choreography (especially the tap dance routine) AALL OF IT very professionally done. BRAVO!!!

The Harris Center is a fantastic venue for any type of event or ceremony. We recently held our Commencement ceremony there, and the team at Harris did an outstanding job hosting. Everything was well-organized, professional, and seamless. Highly recommend this venue for special occasions.

The Folsom Prison Museum is a small museum and gift shop located in an old home, filled with prison artifacts and Johnny Cash memorabilia. It offers insight into the notorious Folsom State Prison, established in 1880, showcasing its history and famous inmates like Johnny Cash. Visitors can explore a collection of artifacts, photographs, and memorabilia chronicling the prison's past, including handmade weapons, inmate artwork, guard uniforms, and more.
Unique museum showing the grim history of corrections in the last century. Sits right in front of prison gate, next to processing center for visitors of inmates. Makes you glad you are free to go!
Carla S — Google review
Super Cool to see in person, unfortunately the museum was closed, they relys on volunteers to run it, but the guards were so polite and full of knowledge and history. We had a great time.
Miriah B — Google review
We are so happy we went here. It's a little off the beaten path and we were skeptical in taking the time to go, but well worth it. The guy running the gift shop was extremely nice and even though it's small the museum is worth doing. You even park right outside the gate so it's a little weird being that close to guards and people going inside for visits. Lots of Johnny cash memorabilia too.
Sunset T — Google review
It’s closed now but you still can go to the entrance and take pictures. The guard staff was awesome at information and knowledge.
Dudley T — Google review
Dont drink that dirty water. Fascinating historic stop. It's sobering why it was built and still is in use. I love the museum sharing actuall history of the prison and the work and engineering the prisoners put into the construction and maintenance of the facilities. Guards were very accomadating.
Ed C — Google review
Great museum with lots of info packed into a small space. The best part was listening to the stories of the docent onsite with so many years of experience inside the prison. Definitely worth a couple hours of exploring!
Andrew T — Google review
To be honest, the overall impression about this spot is so-so cause the admission is $2 also they don’t accept cards payments for minimum transactions under $5, which sounds like everyone must buy something if they don’t have cash. This is not cool to the customers.
Timmy L — Google review
Even tho it's closed, the guards will let you carefully look around small area and take pics. Really neat piece of history - Johnny Cash was here.

Bodies of Water
Lake Natoma, nestled within the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, covers nearly 500 acres and offers a plethora of family-friendly activities. Visitors can indulge in swimming, kayaking, rowing, canoeing, water skiing, fishing, and boating. The lake hosts various championship events throughout the year. Additionally, it is home to the historic Negro Bar from the gold rush era. The tranquil waters are ideal for kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding.
I recently visited Lake Natoma for a day of boating, swimming, and relaxation, and it was an absolute delight. The clear water provided the perfect setting for a refreshing swim, and the gentle breeze made our boating experience incredibly pleasant. The calm atmosphere allowed us to fully unwind and enjoy the tranquility of nature. Overall, Lake Natoma is a fantastic destination for a peaceful and enjoyable day out. Highly recommended!
Faaz — Google review
Very nice lake for paddle boarding. Lots of places to relax and take in nature. It was nice to decompress and meditate in the serene environment. Yes I did encounter many people with portable sound devices. I didn’t allow it to bother me too much. But I was wondering why the park rangers that were there did not enforce noise nuisance code violations. It’s one thing to casually listen to music. But some of these people really did push the limits of tolerable noise levels. On another note, I found the open use of marijuana unacceptable in this family oriented park. Having read other reviews these violations are becoming more prevalent. Anyway, it a nice lake/park.
J R — Google review
Great spot for families. It does get packed on summer weekends so go early as they do turn cars away. There's a fee for parking and they require life jackets when on boards.
Sonia C — Google review
Very nice, clean and pleasant place. Good parking, wheelchair accessible, kayaking available, remote boat racing. Only one table, too many ducks (don't feed them).
Angela A — Google review
Great place for kayaking or paddle boarding.
Andrew D — Google review
As a new addict of Paddle Boarding I love this place. I'm a native Sacramentan, been here all my life (over 50 years) and have never explored this place until asked to be a guest to Paddle Board. Such a wonderful family safe environment for just swimming, taking whatever floating (non-gas powered) mode of travel you fancy or even BBQ with fam and friends, better yet, do it all. I've now spread the joy, introducing several friends to join me at Lake Natoma and they all live it too. Lots of parking, lots of trails for walking, hiking, running, biking and plenty of bathrooms, loaner life vests available and sometimes a Life Guard on duty. Don't get me started on the Sac State Aquatic Center either. See it for yourself, enjoy!
Vince — Google review
There is nothing more peaceful than being lake side with the natural sounds of nature. Hearing the water crash again and again. I was in the shade so it was almost a bit cold. The fish we’re jumping and biting. It makes for a great experience when the birds are chirping, the breeze is slightly cooler, the leaves are starting to change. Just down right awesomeness!!!
Ernest L — Google review
Could be the best place for water rec in the area... almost. The good: perfect place to paddleboard, kayak, fish or swim. Huge floating area that can easily accommodate lots of people without feeling too crowded. Lots of inlets to explore and nature (deer, bald eagles, etc.) to see. Hardly any current and (usually) no boat wake so it's easy enough that kids can have a blast. And friendly rangers and lifeguards on beaches. Now the disappointing: I have yet to go when there is not a handful of people that bring speakers and blast music from their boards. I'm fine if people want to listen to music just for your small board radius, but the volume they set seems to be for the benefit of the whole lake. And unfortunately it's often the people with the most sketchy taste in music that seem to crank it the loudest. The level of explicit lyrics and zero shame even when kids are nearby is pretty sad. Nobody wakes up and hauls all their gear out onto the water to hear somebody else's music. If they did, they wouldn't bring a speaker, they'd just enjoy their fellow boaters broadcasts. And there is quite a bit of beer etc being consumed so it's possible some people are too faded to realize how loud they have it? But noise carries extremely well over still water unlike the ocean so less is seriously more in this case. So if you go and you're actually there to enjoy nature, maybe pack some earplugs. And a last heads up for swimmers, there is supposedly a no wake or low speed boat rule but twice now I've seen boats flying down the channel and almost hit a swimmer in the water. I had to quickly paddle in front of a swimmer so the boat would change course, and the guy had just been staring at his phone. He also was blasting music so wouldn't have heard anyone warning him anyways. Definitely use the neon floats for distance swimming and hopefully they'll start patroling the boat traffic before someone gets hurt. Good luck!

The Folsom History Museum in downtown Folsom Historic District offers a glimpse into the area's rich history, from its Native American roots to the gold rush era. The museum showcases artifacts from the 19th century and features a Pioneer Village that recreates early settlers' lives. Visitors can explore a blacksmith shop, miners' cabin, and an old railroad caboose.
It was very interesting to see the history of the town. The two guys that worked on 3/30/24 had so much knowledge and was excited to share it. The only Folsom that one of the workers ever knew about was the guy the town is named after. So once I told him now you know of two and shook his hand, he was pretty excited. Great to see people invest in what they do and not just take up space. They made the visit to the museum so much better. Thank you!
Emery F — Google review
This museum is on Sutter St. Which is the main street of Historic Folsom. You come upon it about one short block from the tram station. It's easy to miss because it's tucked back from the sidewalk and looks like another storefront. This is a great starting point for anyone visiting to see this gold mining town because you learn about how it became a gold mining town, why it was named Folsom, and how it has fared as a city right up to present time. It is very small . The exhibits are very interesting and well presented, and some are interactuve. The difficulty I had, and a contributing factor to my rating, was the difficulty in reading the exhibit placards because so many were down low. The museum shop is small but nice with some interesting objects. Cost is $9 and $8 for seniors. The second factor for the rating was the loud personal conversation that the museum employee had that lasted a good part of my visit. Since the space was small, the conversation was distracting. But, highly recommend going.
Tassey R — Google review
Great escape from the heat. Learned a bit about Folsom, a city always innovating. Great quilts on exhibit.

Nancy is an amazing tour guide! She is wealth of historical knowledge! Thank you!
Patricia S — Google review
I just wanted to thank the amazing volunteers at this museum! I visited today with my 4 young kids, and they had a total blast. The volunteers were so kind, welcoming and helpful. The kids had so much fun with touring old trains and homes, gold panning, pumping water and learning instruments. The kids loved everything and actually learned a lot. Entrance is by donation, which is incredible considering everything the kids got to do. I wanted to write this review in hopes more people will come and support this great place!!!!!
Masako C — Google review
I loved it. Me and my girlfriend went over there and had an amazing time. The place is super interesting! Look at this turnaround for trains! Amazing!

Factory Outlets
Folsom Premium Outlets is a popular shopping destination in California, featuring an outdoor mall with nearly 80 stores offering a wide range of products including clothing, footwear, jewelry, household items, and sporting goods. Some of the well-known brands available here include Michael Kors, Banana Republic, and Adidas. While the design may be a bit confusing with stores facing the parking lot and limited dining options within the center itself, it offers a diverse shopping experience for visitors.
The outlet is not that big but has many good stores. The parking lot is quite many and easy to find a parking. The price is cheaper than regular stores.
Jovan K — Google review
The outlet is not that big. This decent outlet mall has many good stores. The parking lot is good with decent amount of parking for car all around. The price is cheaper than regular stores but not too many stores and not a much discount is another problem. There are lots of discounts at some stores, but there are a few that don't have any special discounts. It's a nice mall in general if you are looking for a quick and nearby shopping. They have some food places also which atleast give you a break from shopping 😀
Nitesh S — Google review
It’s been over 3+ years and management has failed to open a functioning FOOD COURT and now they have turned this place into a Flea Market by operating farmers market on the weekend. It’s a terrible experience for the shoppers. Hopefully they could get it together.
Edwin M — Google review
Pretty big place. It's all outdoor. It was a hot day. Didn't feel like working around to too many stores checked out sketchers. They had lots of easy slip shoes But all were casual style. I was looking for a wide easy slip in with arch support, but more formal looking. They didn't have any thing like that. But I didn't find it other shops either.

I love coming back to this outlets every time I’m visiting Sacramento, I always find a lot of great deals, Not packed with plenty of parking,

Went to check out the Hot Topic store, felt like I could move in and live. And the ladies were omg sooooo super helpful and they deserve top kudos for helping me make all of my purchases and updating my address for the five finger death punch & iron maiden shirts that had to be ordered online. They were top notch 💜
Tammie B — Google review
this Place has been the same for years I enjoy the outlets you always can find good prices on clothes and shoes. vans especially shout out to Chelsea at journeys she is very friendly and very helpful and it was a great experience in getting shoes for my nephew 👏
Scott K — Google review
Folsom Premium Outlets was very busy many years ago. But it has been much less crowded in recent years after some major retailers outlets moved out. But the outlet mall is more relaxing now. This outlet mall has more trees more seating area, and looks beautiful! It just needs more famous brands and restaurants moving in. Three stars is what the current rating I can put in my review today! I hope I’ll be able to rate them five stars soon!

Folsom Historic District, also known as Sutter Street, is the heart of Folsom and takes visitors back to the 1850s with its historic storefronts and buildings. Today, it houses modern businesses like restaurants, theaters, and retail shops while preserving its historical significance through interpretive plaques.
Small but full of interesting things to see and do. I took a tram from Sac to Folsom. I was happy that I did a day trip. I lost myself zigzagging through the street. I didn’t realize has fast time was moving. I enjoyed going in many of the shops and viewing the Victorian Houses.

Neat old Main Street straight out of what feels like the old west. If you are not a drinker, nor enjoy eclectic little shops that sell rocks, crystals, wide varieties of clothing then come for the food. Rest rooms for the public only one one end of the street. It was a fun afternoon of browsing shops even though many were closed on a Tuesday early evening. We ate at a little bbq joint that had a taco Tuesday deal going. It was a pretty fun and easy evening jaunt. Not a ton of parking btw, but most public parking spots were free.

The Steve Miklos Aquatic Center in Folsom is a popular destination for water enthusiasts of all ages. It offers a variety of attractions including water playgrounds, slides, lap pools, and activity pools. The center ensures the safety of its visitors with attentive lifeguards on duty. Additionally, there are spacious picnic areas and a well-maintained lawn for relaxation. Visitors praise the facility for its diverse offerings such as a floating obstacle course, big slides, and toddler splash pads.
Wow. What a place. From the floating obstacle course to the big slide and then to the toddler splash pad, this place has it all! We visited on whim while visiting family and we were so impressed! There is something for everyone. The best part was the staff though. I have never seen more attentive and hard working lifeguards!!! A few scared kids, including my own, needed help getting off the obstacle course. The lifeguard jumped in for my boy after blowing a loud whisle. Within seconds 2 more ran to the side. I mean talk about doing a job right! If you are looking for an amazing day out with your kiddos, this is the place to be. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
Heather H — Google review
My younger child was denied access to the diving board because they were wearing goggles, even though they can only swim with them. The inflatable obstacles were only accessible one at a time, resulting in long, boring queues and no fun for the kids. My younger kid was completely barred from these due to his need for goggles. Another inflatable slide was not being watered, causing kids to burn their bottoms and backs trying to slide down. Neither of my children were allowed on the only slide due to their height, even if accompanied by an adult. It seems like unless you're of the 'perfect' height, you're out of luck. "No running, no running" to everyone creates a stifling atmosphere, like prison. The staff were more interested in performing a ritualistic search for non-existent drowning victims than ensuring actual safety. Watching them obsessively scan empty pools waving there heads for minutes on end was both comical and disheartening. If you shake your head like them for 5 minutes, you'll vomit. The obsession with perceived safety has ruined what should be a fun and enjoyable experience for children. Never again here
Denis P — Google review
First time here and really like it! I loved how clean and well-maintained everything was. There are shaded spots for parents to relax, lots of lifeguards on duty, and fun splash zones everywhere.
Valery H — Google review
Decent pool. Lots of 25y lanes for larger short course meets but it really is a tad too small for events upward of 600+ swimmers. Bleachers are also too short for the crowd standing at the edge of the pool. Surprised at how few drinking fountains are here. Warmup lap pool is very small for larger events. Be prepared to be crowded at larger swim meets. Locker rooms showers and toilets are all good. Location is decent. Next to a larger park. Parking can be a bit of a hassle especially if there is also softball and baseball tournaments happening at the same time.

Love this place , lots of stuff to do and keeps the kids busy for hours . And very affordable. And lots of life guards I would recommended this place

Folsom Valley Railway

Scenic Railroads
Nestled in California, the Folsom Valley Railway offers a delightful journey back in time with its charming miniature-scale steam-powered trains. As one of only seven public replica railroads in the United States and the sole 12-inch gauge railroad still operating, it has been enchanting visitors since 1970. Hop aboard one of their two miniature engines for a scenic ten-minute ride that spans approximately five miles through a picturesque park filled with lush greenery, serene ponds, and glimpses of local wildlife.
We had a great time riding the Folsom Valley Railway! It’s powered by a diesel locomotive and has plenty of open-air seating. People of all ages can ride the train, which runs smoothly and comfortably. Would recommend for everyone and plan to come back again and again with our infant granddaughter.
James O — Google review
We stopped going because they now charge $5 per person and additional fees if you use a credit card. The train ride is fun for the kids but lasts about 3 minutes. In fact we stopped going to the zoo and this park so we can avoid hearing the train horns.
Albee W — Google review
This is the best addition to the area! Such a great day with the park, library, zoo and the train ride… takes me right back to my childhood riding that thing. And only $5 per person is a steal for the lifelong memories it provides. As a zoo employee now, I always make sure to wave when I walk by because I love to see the joy on the kids faces as they ride, so proudly on the train. I hope this train runs forever. 🥹

This is the most adorable train! The new owners are wonderful! They even let us ride with our dog! Very affordable, only $5! We had so much fun!
LORI A — Google review
Whether you’re a train enthusiast or not you will love the Folsom valley railway! The owner and the train engineer has been running the locomotive for over 30 years. He says the only reason he does it is because he loves seeing the smile on kids faces. This train is not just for kids and adults and DOGS are allowed to ride. The fare is very affordable and the ride is pretty amazing.

My boyfriend and I were out an about one Sunday and saw this little train and we were like we have to ride this! It was awesome! The owner is a great guy and even took our picture and showed us how to get the perfect lighting, filters, etc.

We've been trying in forever to catch this train ride open and finally we get to enjoyed it , they're about to close and the man was nice enough to have us ride still ☺️☺️☺️ thank you ☺️

Steak house
Sutter Street Steakhouse is a sophisticated yet unpretentious American steakhouse located in Folsom's historic downtown district. Established by the creators of the acclaimed 5th Street Steakhouse in Chico, California, this restaurant has become an integral part of the community. It offers a romantic atmosphere and an extensive wine list to complement its prime cuts of beef and fresh seafood. Additionally, patrons can enjoy patio seating for a delightful dining experience.
My wife brought us here for my birthday, and it was great as always. The Wasabi soy sauce that came with the steak was awesome. That sounds like a weird combination, but we couldn't taste Wasabi. It was flat out delicious. The birthday card signed by the staff was a nice touch. Highly recommend. We will be back!

One of my faves for steakhouses in the area! I usually come here for dinner but for the 1st time I finally made it to happy hour. Let me tell you, the oysters were perfectly fresh, cold and delicious, the fries needed a bit more seasonings but it was not bad, the blackened shrimps were seasoned well but a bit tough or dry but the bbq sauce goes well with it and made it better, the sliders were good, but they do have a burger too. My spinach salad was light, savory, and so delicious. The expresso martini was a bit mild and I was not feeling the sprinkled coffee grounds on top. Definitely need to get a different drink next time. There are plenty to eat on the menu and many drink options. The HH is only 4:30-5:30! Yes, one hour only. Our server bartender definitely put in work and he was very sweet. I’ll be back to try a different drink and other dishes. Always nice to walk through Sutter street after eating here and catch the sunset. Don’t forget to follow on IG to explore more foodie places with me @Only1christinelu

My first time here. Dinner with my daughter. Very cozy atmosphere. Everyone was really friendly food is amazing. We sampled two wines and went with the Malbec. Filet was our steak 🥩 perfectly prepared.

I visited Sutter Street Steakhouse last March and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. I ordered the rib eye steak with mashed potatoes and roasted garlic, plus onion rings to start and dessert to finish. Everything was excellent. The steak was perfectly seasoned, cut easily, and melted in my mouth. Even the onion rings were crisp and flavorful, and dessert was just as good. The service was just as impressive as the food. Our waiter was very friendly, checked on us multiple times, and even gave us helpful tips while ordering. Despite the restaurant being extremely busy, our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The atmosphere is lively and it’s definitely the kind of place you’ll want to make reservations for ahead of time. Prices are on the higher end, but honestly the quality makes it worth it. I’d absolutely recommend Sutter Street Steakhouse to anyone looking for a top-notch meal.

I was so incredibly happy with my birthday dinner at Sutter Street Steakhouse. It was my second visit and both times the ribeye has been outstanding. I was pleasantly surprised at the kids filet that my son ordered. However the real stand out was the service. They were so sweet, wishing me a happy birthday, presenting me with a card, dated birthday menu and a delicious dessert! Our server was very kind, attentive and had great recommendations! And the view from their balcony at sunset cannot be beat!

Sutter Street Steakhouse in Folsom exceeded our expectations in every way. The warmth of the dining area, combined with the cozy yet upscale ambiance, made for a perfect evening. We were seated next to the beautiful wine room, which added an elegant touch to the experience. Our server, Tim, was an absolute joy—attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and prawns. The steak was perfectly seared, tender, and juicy, while the garlic mashies were creamy and packed with flavor. I had the chicken with mushrooms, served with those same delicious mashed potatoes, and the pan jus sauce was rich and flavorful, tying the dish together beautifully. To start, I had a mojito, which was the perfect blend of mint and citrus—refreshing and a great way to kick off the night. Having moved from the Bay Area, we compared Sutter Street to House of Prime Rib. While the experience was quite similar, we found the steaks here more choice than prime, but the quality was still excellent. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and food made for a fantastic dining experience, and we will definitely be back!

We had celebrated our wedding anniversary here last year, and we enjoyed it so much, we came back this year and will make it a tradition. Great food and top-notch service will keep us coming back. If you’re a fan of 5th Street up in Chico, you’ll appreciate Sutter Street Steakhouse.

The restaurant is known for its delicious grilled pear salad with creamy goat cheese, candied walnuts, and mixed greens drizzled with house-made balsamic dressing. Their thin-crust pizzas are crispy and flavorful, making it the perfect spot for pizza lovers. Customers have praised the attentive service and efficient kitchen staff at this family-friendly establishment.
Great atmosphere, the food was fantastic and the service was great. Haven't been to Chicago fire in a long time and it is still fantastic.

Fun atmosphere at the bar. I ordered the Traditional Deep dish. The crust was delicious but way too much garlic in the sauce. It had to be an oversight. I'll have to go back and try it again. Great service and drinks!

This place has really good food. It’s not too expensive, but not too cheap either. The deep dish pizza is very filling. Takes a while to get it they tell you that so don’t go if ya wanna eat right away. I got the garlic beef dip and with the waiter’s recommendation I added the giardinara peppers. It was fire!!!! I highly recommend. The fries weren’t good, but you don’t come here for fries.

We had a birthday group of 5 on Saturday. It was very busy, but no problem because we had the best sever, Christopher. He was polite, professional, checked on us to see if we needed anything often. I Just wanted to give Christopher a big kudos for his excellent service. By the way, the food was great and we all had such a good time.
Sidna H — Google review
We were short on time so the waiter said don't get the deep dish. So the group I was with ordered the thin crust. I don't like Chicago thin crust (I do like deep dish or NY pizza) so I got the Chicken Parmesan. The group liked the pizza and I liked the chicken. The pasta texture was a little off but good overall.

My husband and I had a great experience this evening. We were traveling from Oregon to Placerville and we are staying in Folsom for the night. Someone had recommended your place, so we gave it a try. We had excellent service. Our server was very attentive and anticipated our needs, before we needed to ask. We had the dinner for 2 with the Deep Dish Combo pizza and house salad and brownie dessert. It was all amazing. Keep doing what you’re doing. You do it well! Thanks again!

It’s Saturday night dinner (4/22) with the family. Pizza sounded good so we packed up and headed on our. Never been to this place before but have driven by many times and have always wanted to check the place out. Didn’t have to wait long; we were seated within 10 minutes upon arrival. Our server was tentative but not overwhelming which is always good. Took our order promptly and the food came out within about 15-20 minutes, all served hot straight from the kitchen. The presentation was good and the taste was also good. In comparison to other pizza parlors we’ve been to, I would give the food about 4/5 stars. The restaurant presentation and cleanliness is an exceptional 5/5. The staff courtesy is also a 5/5. Over all I would give this place about a 4.5/5. Google only offers whole star rating. Would I return, probably but if given other pizzeria options, would probably go elsewhere first.

Nestled in a discreet shopping center, Bacchus House Wine Bar & Bistro is a delightful find in Folsom, CA. This charming bistro specializes in seasonal American cuisine crafted from locally sourced ingredients, ensuring every dish bursts with freshness and flavor. The inviting atmosphere is enhanced by whimsical decor that transforms with the seasons—think enchanting displays for holidays like Valentine's Day and Halloween's life-sized monsters.
This is a favorite of mine and my wife’s. The atmosphere is always pleasant, they normally decorate for every season with classic and tasteful decors. Kayla behind the bar always takes care of us and she is never short of something creative. The food is amazing, it’s always a toss up between the chiefs special or the braised short ribs. My wife sticks with the prime rib which is always great. Highly recommend.

A Neighborhood Charm. Came here to try their famous prime rib, now it was cooked perfectly to my liking, also super moist and tender. The garlic potatoes can be use a little more salt to my taste, the Brussels were so light and fluffy the way it was cooked. The calamari was ok, the BBQ ribs was delightful and falls off the bone. The deviled eggs were good. The Cabernet flight was good and love the pours! Most importantly the server Nico was So on top of his job, very sweet and attentive. Will definitely return to try their other dishes. The restaurant was Super clean and beautiful inside. 📍Bacchus House Folsom, CA ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ **Don’t forget to follow me on IG and Yelp for more great foodie places to check out Follow... @Only1ChristineLu **

Updated to add that this dinner gave our family food poisoning and now we all have the runs. Went in for dinner, we got the risotto, prime rib, and short ribs. Everything was terrible. The prime rib was dry and flavorless yet somehow way too salty in the outside. The short rib was spoiled. We had to have them take it away. It tasted like they made it lasr month and just kept it in the fridge and kept serving from it. The risotto had raw solid rice grains. We left hungry. Our server was super sweet though.

This whole night was. Underwhelming. The owener was there, said hi. It was nice. I choose the special. It was a steak, 2 carrots and mash potatoes. The potatoes and bread were wonderful. The steak on the other hand was less than to be desired. Nor did the pleasant wait staff ask about it. After obtaining some barbeque sauce I was able to eat just over half. The other portion was fat and filled with gristle. My wife has purchased better steak from Costco. It was disappointing.

Update: I can't believe it took me a year to get back to this place! Stopped by on a whim yesterday after seeing a play at Sutter Street. They sponsor the theater and were mentioned during intermission. We had been planning to eat downtown, but remembering my last mail there, I suggested we eat there instead. What a treat! I had no idea they did up the place like they do at Christmas. A delightful spectacle it was, indeed! Apparently they go all out for all the holidays. Who knew?! The food of course was amazing as were the cocktails by Kayla. (I noticed in my original review I have her name down as Michaela, but I'm pretty sure she said Kayla last night. Idk. Anyhow she's probably the most professional, skilled, personal bartender we've had in a very long time. Love this place. Hoping to get back much sooner next time. After a day of hard labor, I decided to treat myself to some fine dining. Sat at the bar. Ordered the braised short ribs and veggies with green beans in place of mashed potatoes, and the featured cocktail. McKayla, the bar tender was fun, creative, energetic, and dependable. But be warned, her cocktails are powerful and spectacularly delicious!

It was my very first time here and it was an incredible dining experience!! 💯🤩 I had such a wonderful evening at Bacchus! From start to finish, everything was absolutely top notch. I made reservations and was immediately sat upon walking in. I started with their Old Fashioned, which had a very generous pour (no complaints!) The deviled eggs, calamari (with lightly fried, edible lemons that were a surprisingly delicious touch), and lobster bisque were all fantastic! For my main, I had the prime rib and it was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and satisfying. I ended the night with their bread pudding, and it was the cherry on top of an already amazing meal. The vibe was warm and welcoming, with a live band that made the night even more enjoyable. Everyone, from guests to staff, seemed genuinely happy to be there. Our waitress, Kayla, was attentive and kind, and the owner, Eric, made a point to greet all the guests and ensure everyone felt at home. Can’t wait to go back, this place is a gem in Folsom! 💎🥩🥃

My husband and I have been to Bacchus house a couple of times before and always enjoyed our experience so this was his restaurant of choice to celebrate his birthday. This time the food was disappointing. The bread basket that was brought to the table was stale. I ordered the scallops on a bed of risotto and was surprised that I only received three scallops. They were medium sized at best. It really felt like an appetizer portion and the price was $35. I just didn’t feel like it was worth it. Also the risotto was overcooked. On the pro side atmosphere is charming and cozy and his prime rib was delicious. The service was friendly but on the slow side. Probably would seek out a different restaurant next time for a special occasion.
Teresa Z — Google review
Ordered the scallops and risotto, scallops were so overcooked and so was the risotto. Can’t call it Risotto because it definitely wasn’t Arborio rice. Tasted like short grain rice came out of a rice cooker only to be filled with cream. Husband ordered the short ribs…definitely not short ribs but some kind of chuck roast with a side of peas and mushrooms. Scallops were 3 tiny scallops, an appetizer portion for $35. And same with the short rib…3 small chunks of beef. Very strange. Our waitress was awesome and the drinks were fabulous so there is that. Will never go there again. Super bummed.

Back Bistro is a sophisticated restaurant located near Palladio Cinemas, offering an array of small plates and diverse American dishes. The bistro is known for its inviting brunch menu featuring options like the Loco Moco with rice, shredded short ribs, gravy, and fried eggs or the classic Brioche French Toast topped with fresh bananas and whipped cream. Additionally, their made-from-scratch pies are highly recommended for their light and refreshing flavors.
Our company had our Holiday Party here. The manager, AJ, did a great job preparing the place for our gathering. He coordinated everything we needed several weeks before the date and made sure our requests were followed. Service on the day of the party was excellent. All food came out as scheduled, and everything were delicious - from the appetizers to the steak/salmon and desserts. We will definitely come back here for future group gatherings.

There is a decent happy hour menu with decent prices, however the portions are extremely smaller than the regular menu portions. I'm not a big girl, and I don't eat very much but I finished the appetizers within a couple bites. The service is great. The waiters are attentive. I've only ever ate on the patio so the atmosphere is pleasant. I just really wish the persons were a little larger and they didn't try to trick us with the decent happy hour prices.

Pleasantly surprised.....in the heart of Palladio in Folsom is a restaurant that caught my eye, Back Bistro. Today I made a stop just after 3pm, what a find! Happy hour everyday from 3 to 6pm. Great selection of happy hour appetizers and drinks. My favs were the Tequila Sour, Ahi Poke Wontons, Philly Cheese Steak Sliders, and Cajun fries. Limited but good beer specials as well. Great bar service, good value and specials, see pics. The place does not disappoint. I am definitely coming back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Back Bistro in Folsom, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Nestled in the Palladio, Back Bistro offers a chic yet cozy atmosphere perfect for any occasion. We were greeted with warm hospitality that made us feel right at home. The culinary delights began with the Eggs Benedict, which was perfectly executed with creamy hollandaise sauce and perfectly poached eggs. The French Toast was a delightful surprise, rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of sweetness. For the main courses, we tried the Short Ribs and Steak and Eggs. The Short Ribs were tender and juicy, falling off the bone, and the Steak and Eggs were cooked to perfection, with a flavorful sear and perfectly seasoned. The ambiance of Back Bistro adds to the experience, with elegant decor and a relaxing vibe. Their craft cocktails are exceptional, complementing the dishes wonderfully. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, making our visit even more enjoyable. Back Bistro truly stands out as a gem in Folsom’s dining scene. Whether for a casual brunch or a special dinner, I highly recommend Back Bistro for its outstanding food, excellent service, and charming atmosphere. We can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu!

My wife and I have been going to Back Bistro for years, and it has become one of our favorite spots. Not only is the food and drink selection always amazing, but the atmosphere and service make every visit special. Our children love it just as much as we do! A special shoutout to Kellen, AJ, Molly, and Jack for consistently going above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. If you're looking for a place with fantastic food, great drinks, and an amazing team, Back Bistro is the place to be!

Had been wanting to try this place for quite a while based on neighbors recommendations. The food looks So Good! My cousin, girlfriend and I stopped in for a drink, were able to order from the railing as instructed because the bar counter was full. We were pretty excited when the server offered an ounce of fresh lime juice for each of our cocktail requests. Freshly squeezed lime is always a wonderful addition. However a few minutes after our order was taken, we were told by the same server that we needed to order food instead,d and that no drinks would be served. 😔 We had reservations across the street for dinner so we left with no fabulous cocktails and had a nice dinner at Pier 50 sushi but without cocktails, as we don't drink soju, sake or the types of beer or wine they serve. 🫤

Back Bistro is marketed as an upscale California restaurant serving up American entrees in a polished and intimate environment. Does it live up to this? Well here’s the review: There were nine of us, six from out of town and three local. It’s our first time here even for the locals. Our criteria for selecting this place was that it had to offer an intimate dining experience with great food (with vegetarian options) and good drinks. We came here for dinner on a Tuesday (2/6/24) evening. Made reservations a few days prior for 5:45pm. Our table was able ready for us by the time we arrived. The restaraunt is located in Palladio, a neat and clean little shopping area. Parking along the street was impossible even for a Tuesday, but there were plenty in the garage. The restaurant is surprisingly smaller than what I was expecting. There’s patio seating outdoor that adds to the dining area which look like it might be a cool place to dine at during the warmer months. The interior decor is very neat and polished; definitely fitting of a more upscale restaurant. Definitely a 5/5. Our server (didn’t get a name… SORRY!!) was fantastic. A young man that paid enough attention to us but didn’t over do it. Service is a 5/5. As a group, we ordered some appetizers which included Ahi Poke, Goat Cheese Fritters, Cheese & Charcuterie, and Goat Cheese Fritters. All turned out great especially the Goat Cheese Fritters. Appetizers were a solid (5/5). Our dinner orders included Vegan Stir Fry, Grilled Chicken and Gnocchi, Scallops and Prawns, and House Cheese Burgers. The food arrived within 15-20 minutes after ordering. I surveyed the group on their dish. Presentation review were all very nice, a solid 5/5. Taste fell a little short however. While it was good, it wasn’t exciting, not something that one would crave for. Most would give their dish about a 4/5. Personally, I had ordered the Grilled Chicken and Gnocchi. My dish turned out ok but not great. The gnocchi was good and but with very few pieces of chicken in it. The chef had used WAYYY too much garlic that it took over the entire dish. Taste wasn’t bad however and I’m not a garlic fan. Portion size was much smaller than I had expected. Granted it IS a bistro but was expecting more. I would give my own dish about a 3/5. The drinks… all came out REALLY GOOD and did not disappoint. We had ordered Margaritas, Moscow Mules, and Barrel Aged Old Fashioned. Everyone in our group enjoyed what we ordered. A solid 5/5. We also got dessert ordering pretty much one of each from the menu to share. The Sticky Toffee Cake definitely tops the list as the favorite. Our bill came out to be about $75 per person with tax and tip for the experience which included appetizers, two drinks, and dessert. It’s definitely pricier for the dining experience. Overall value to price ratio is probably a 4/5. Overall experience is about a 4/5. Do not expect to walk away full when dining here. Personally I walked away feeling hungry given what I had ordered. If not for the great company we were with, the experience may be lower. Do check this place out if you’re in the area. The place is marketed as polished and intimate. It definitely lives up to it. Make sure you’re with good company however, grab a couple of drinks and hang for a while. Food is good but it’s not the highlight IMO. The drinks were. Cheers! This is my second review of this place. We went for Happy Hour. We opted to sit indoors. The place was not too crowded and service was prompt. All dishes we ordered were very good and tasty. We enjoyed the steak and potatoes which was juicy and delicious. The Champagne cocktail from the Happy Hour menu was very tasty.

We had heard about this place and decided to check it out ourselves. Frankly speaking, we didn't like it. Buying breakfast for almost $30 and getting a plate half full of fried potatoes🤣 It was funny. The guys are obviously big and they don't have enough people, the waitress girls are standing around chatting calmly about how their Friday party went, while the customers are sitting and waiting for 20 minutes for coffee. Coffee! Waiting for the food to cook is ok. But 20 minutes for coffee🤦‍♀️ They brought me a sandwich with burnt bacon and a bunch of potatoes. Oh, I already talked about them🤣 In general, these guys win with their location. But not with delicious food, or pleasant service, or a cozy atmosphere. I think they need an upgrade.

A friend recommended we try this place. It was a rainy day so we sat inside (They have a nice little patio!) and it was a little busy but we were able to find a table. I tried the orange mocha and it was absolutely fabulous!! My avocado toast was so delicious and had a variety of flavor notes. We wish the bear claw had more of a true almond paste inside, but it was still really good. I want to tell the world about how amazing this little places is, but then it would get too crowded and really I just want to keep it all for myself. 😉

This is my favorite coffee/bakery spot in the Folsom area. Every time i'm visiting, I come here, you know, for lovely food and great coffee. The patio is in a fantastic spot. Fresh flowers. Sunshine. Foliage. Butterflies. Quaint little downtown atmosphere. I usually have white chocolate mocha coffee, fantastic the blueberry or lemon crumble danish of some sort with fresh local fruit. Today, I had a spinach strawberry salad with blue cheese crumbles & candied pecans. But the quiche looked so tempting.

The food is ok, although, $21 for eggs Benedict, is like I’m having breakfast at a manhattan diner. Service is almost absent: if reminded several times, your order will be provided, if reminded again, you’ll get utensils. The place though, is atmospheric and cozy.

This is a wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast, brunch, lunch or just dessert. The service was kind. The baked goods are delicious and the atmosphere is welcoming and quaint. The portions on our breakfast were large and the food was not only delicious, but the presentation was a feast for the eyes. The outdoor patio offers a quieter, more intimate atmosphere than the bustle of the indoor cafe. This was a wonderful find, just off of Sutter Street.

This is a great place with several great vegan options for breakfast or lunch! I had the avocado sourdough toast and fruit cup. It's so close to the American River Bike Trail and Lake Natoma.
Kip B — Google review
Friendly staff, nice indoor/outdoor seating, food was just ok. It says something when the bowl of fruit was more exciting than the entrees. Stopped by on a Saturday around 11am and this place was slammed — line going out the door kind of busy. (TIP: Figure out what you want to order and then send someone from your group to go snag a table while waiting in line.) The Broccoli & White Cheddar Quiche had a strange crust — chewy rather than flaky. It needed a hit of salt and pepper to give it some flavor. Would not order again. The Grilled Chorizo Breakfast Burrito reads beautifully on the menu but eating it was a different experience. For about 3/4 of the burrito everything had the same soft, almost minced texture until you come across some nice chunky potatoes. Sliced grilled chorizo sausage might solve the texture issue. It was filling but could also use some seasoning to give it more layers of flavor - fresh chopped parsley or cilantro would help. At $17.50 it did not hold up. With how popular they were and the high ratings we may have just picked the wrong items on the menu? Next time we will try some of their other options.

I came around noon and the shop was quite busy. The shop looks cozy, airy & spacious. The hanging chairs make the space very inviting. I ordered pitaya bowl with granola, strawberry, honey & coco flakes. The pitaya sorbet was good & sweet. The toppings complemented the sorbet very well. The granola & coco flakes gave a nice crunch. The strawberry was fresh and the honey gave extra sweetness to the bowl. It was a perfect healthy treat!

My mom got the dragon fruit smoothie bowl, which she complained was much too sweet and not the best. The food was good, but it all could have been made at home and the smoothie was not the best. Other food on the menu could be good, though. The food took around 10 min to come out, and the restaurant was not very busy. It looked like only one person was working. The restaurant was very casual and pretty, and they had good taste in music.

The space is neat and clean and the staff is friendly. The food here is great. It’s made fresh, with high quality ingredients. There is something for everyone, whether you’re vegan, gluten free or you want a burger. The price is comparable to other restaurants in the area. For a quick meal, this is a wonderful choice.

Great little find. In town visiting after moving away and wished we had one of these where I live now. Had a few shakes while in town and a build my own wrap and was really satisfied. Love that you have that control over the ingredients.

Great vibe, with different seating options; swing seats, benches and table/bar seating and food/smoothies. Downside is there is no option to recycle here. A health bar has great intention if it was followed through to the health of our planet. Plastic cups and straws with no option to recycle does no good for anyone. I would love to change my rating to 5 stars if composting and recycling was implemented here!

First time I went there was great, no issues. Awesome chicken avocado sandwich, and a smoothie, thought it was worth the high price even though I would usually never spend that much money on food like that. Made me want to come back a second time, but this time I ordered the same thing and I couldn't believe what I found in the bag when I got home. Teeny tiny sandwich with like three pieces of chicken on it. I'm talking like three pieces of your average cubed chicken. The sandwich was like two bites, it was absolutely ridiculous. I can't believe I paid $35 for this meal.

Who say healthy eating has to taste boring and blah? It doesn't! Check out Vibe Healthy Eats. They have sandwiches, wraps, organic cold pressed juices, protein bowls, protein smoothies, acai bowls, and more. Pricing matches that to fast food (FF). But why have FF when you can have eats from Vibe. The pitaya bowl is fantastic. It's delicious and who would have thought this was good for ya as well. The base is a nice consistency, not slushie icee and not watery. Just right. All so delicious. They have a large selection of toppings. My faves are goji berries, cacao nibs, strawberries, and blueberries. The strawberries and blueberries were fresh when I ordered last month. The bbq chicken protein bowl is darn good. The chicken is chopped in bite sized cubes. Tender bites. The fixings were all fresh and gorgeous looking. The brown rice was perfect consistency, soft chew. The dressings are housemade, no HFCS. Flavorful. I have also had the purple butter PB smoothie. Still getting use to the taste of protein drinks. To be honest, protein drinks are relatively new to me. The PB smoothie was very mild in flavors. I didn't taste any distinguishing flavors, not even the almond butter, strawberry, blueberry or banana. But take this with a grain of salt because I'm a protein smoothie novice. The smoothie consistency was thick which I prefer, but adds to a bit more of effort to drinking it through a straw. They are located on Riley Street in Folsom, CA. I mention that because they use to be on East Bidwell. Now they are right next to 24 Hour Fitness gym. Nice.

Thai Paradise

Thai restaurant
Thai Paradise is a relaxed restaurant that offers a variety of Thai dishes such as curries, fried rice, and noodles. One of their popular seasonal desserts is the Sweet Sticky Rice and Mango, which features well-cooked sticky rice soaked in sweet coconut milk served with fresh mango slices. The restaurant has gained recognition for its high standards and delicious food, earning numerous awards over the years. Customers are welcomed with a complimentary green salad topped with an exceptional peanut dressing.
My uncle and cousin took me to this restaurant for my birthday dinner and what a treat it was. It was spot on as Thai is one of my favorite of Asian cuisines. The interior is very attractive and we happen to get there early for dinner time and avoided the crowds. The service was quick and hospitable. A friend told me once that on your first try of a Thai restaurant, sampling the Pad Thai is a must and you can make a good determination of the joint's food quality. Their Pad Thai is absolutely delicious, not shy at all with its flavor. And lucky for me, since there were three of us, we shared our dishes and also ordered spring rolls, a red curry with pork and the Thai fried rice. They were all flavor overload in a very good way. I absolutely have no qualms in recommending this place. The food was delightful.

One of the best Thai places in this area. Great food, good flavors, not too strong! They serve nice complimentary salad with peanut sauce. They have a pretty good selection for vegetarians. We ordered Thai chowmein and spicy friend rice - both tasted really well. Loved the burnt flavor in noodles. Portion size is decent and the ambiance is lively. Highly Recommend!

This was my 1st time at the Folsom Location. I have been to their El Dorado Hills location in the past. This visit did not disappoint. This restaurant has plenty of seating and looks like it can accommodate large parties if needed. Nice and clean establishment with a very friendly staff. The food tasted good, came out quickly and was presented nicely. We started with Fresh Spring Rolls, then moved on to Avocado Yellow Curry with Chicken. The addition of the Avocado gave the dish a creamy texture. The Pad Thai w/ vegetables was nicely prepared and was a nice sized serving. We had it with Brown Rice and I ordered a Thai Iced Tea to go with my meal. Nice place that seems to stay busy. If you are in Folsom and want some Thai food - give this place a visit.

I placed an order online for two orders of fresh rolls with tofu. When I arrived to pick up the order, it wasn't ready, I had to wait about 15 minutes. Then when I got home, I was literally disgusted with what they gave me. I have emailed the restaurant twice as well as called and they have completely ignored me. I have asked only to have a replacement order. The tofu was dry and the rice paper was completely ripped, so I just threw both orders away. I'm shocked that somebody let that leave the kitchen. It honestly would have been better to just tell me no tofu.

Very delicious 😋 Staff was friendly. Service was fast. Nice small salad appetizer and water while we waited to take our order. The flavors of the yellow Curry Soup and the drunken noodles were superb 😋 👌 The atmosphere was very nice! Could use a thorough dusting (me being a housekeeper), but very nice! We would love to come here again and highly recommend it for everyone to try!

Very good overall. The taste was really good on the drunken noodles. Had the shrimp spring rolls and that was amazing, shrimp and vegetables were fresh and juicy. The Thai chow mien was too salty but otherwise good taste. I would recomend this place for who ever wants to try Thai food. A lot of seating, but can be overpacked if come late.

The food was indeed quite authentic, and I was very impressed with the service I received. The establishment appeared reasonably clean, including the restroom facilities. I would definitely go there again.

Out of Bounds Craft Kitchen and Biergarten is a trendy spot in Folsom, offering a taste of Northern California with its crafted beers and American cuisine. The rustic interiors and ample outdoor seating make it a great place to hang out with friends and family. The menu features Folsom-themed dishes like the Folsom Lake Tacos and the Prison Blues burger, along with a variety of smaller meals for those looking to eat light.
Just wanted a beer and Caesar salad. The service was really good. I like the layout and atmosphere. Everything was clean. I'll go back again.

Party of 4, arrived at 830pm for late dinner. Food sounded good on the menu, but they were out of something for all 4 of our orders, so we all had to choose something else. We were repeatedly reminded beginning about 5 minutes prior to receiving our food that they were closing soon (10pm was listed as closing time) and the staff proceeded to close down the restaurant all around us while we were trying to hurry up and eat, while basically ignoring us. Too bad, because it is a nice venue. Just show up early if you want appropriate service.
Caren J — Google review
Selection of beers were nice, and burgers/ fries were great. Unfortunately, it stopped there. The Thai chicken salad literally had the core pieces of romaine and it was brown on the edges... not one ounce of greenery. The BLTA sandwich had no avocado.... literally none. I commend the management for adjusting the bill, but unfortunately, the food just wasn't up to standard. We will come back here again because the atmosphere is nice, but it will be strictly for a couple beers.
Geoff C — Google review
You order at the counter but they bring food to the tables. Friendly service. Burger buns could be improved. Burger was almost great but just not quite there. Apps were all pretty tasty. Great beer selection
Lev T — Google review
Recently visited Out of Bounds Craft Kitchen and Biergarten and had a pleasant experience overall. We ordered the "Prisons Blue Burger" and the Brie Burger. Both burgers were tasty, though a bit on the greasy side. The fries were a standout—crispy and well-seasoned. The menu offers a wide variety of drink and food options, catering to diverse tastes. Additionally, the ample parking made the visit hassle-free. The restroom was clean, which is always appreciated. The outdoor area is a lovely spot to enjoy a meal, providing a nice ambiance.

This place has gone down the tubes. When they opened, it was a brewery. Then they stopped making beer there, and basically became a tap house. Last week I visited, and they no longer offer table service! You have to go inside and wait in a line for their one or two bartenders to take your order. Very, very lame. I suspect the next step will be to shutter the doors. Also, while the bottom of the receipt may show the tipping guidelines for this new (low) standard of service, the point of sale machine still displays the regular 15% - 20% - 25% ...so same tips, crappy service. They have a nice place visually, and I like the outdoor area. It's too bad they can't get their act together.
B A — Google review
Solid selection of beers, very good food. It would be nice if you could sit at the table and peruse a menu and then order at the table though. You end up hurrying through your order without even seeing all the options because you don't want to hold up the line with the way they have you order at the front before being seated. Nice outdoor area.
Jerry H — Google review
We made our second visit in less than a month - so that should tell you enough. It's decent pub fare. We enjoy the layout of the place. Inside is ok. But the patio is the bomb. There's even live music out there. You have to wait in line to order. But once your order is in - things pick up and you're taken of. It's a fun place to go for beers and cocktails. I like it!

It has earned a reputation as the "burger king of the town" with its diverse menu offerings, including chicken and hamburgers that leave customers satisfied. This popular spot is celebrated for its delicious fast food options in Folsom, CA.
Had a wonderful visit to In-N-Out! Despite the store being super busy, the staff handled everything smoothly and efficiently. A special shoutout to Victoria—she was incredibly cheerful and provided excellent service with a smile. The restaurant was very clean and well organized, and as always, the food was fresh and delicious. Great job to the whole team for keeping things running so well even during the rush!

Tried their cheeseburger meal and it was pretty good for the price. You have to eat everything fresh though! The buns are grilled to have a crispy texture so you get both soft and crispy textures in one bite. It's very busy but wait wasn't long, bout 15 mins. How it works: Pay for your order, they'll give you a receipt with your order number and an empty cup if you've ordered a drink - you can fill it up with preferred drink at the drinks station, then wait for them to call out your number. For the other travellers, no wifi here. Price guide (as of Sep 2025): Cheeseburger meal $8.90 Tax $0.69

In n' out is my always go to place when i'm in California. Fresher than the stable brands and looks wayyyyy better. Can be packed during eating hours. Burgers are terrific but french fries are so-so for me.

3/15/24- Like it or not one has to try it once when you're visiting. I enjoy it as it brings back childhood memories and they aren't in the Midwest. I heard a few people order the Animal fries. The employee said it's $3 more and they top them. I didn't pay much attention as I won't order them 😁 I ask for their In N Out sauce to dip my fries. I get enough pepper to go with every bite. Some are spicy and others aren't. The shakes are really delicious but I skipped it this time. The staff is friendly and they jump on the register to take your order. You're not waiting to order but there's a wait to get your meal. I'm sure they do the best to put them out. The meal is inexpensive compared to the similar hamburger chains. I enjoy the fact all the items are fresh, you'll get full and leave happy. Make sure you use the right trash bin!

I had such a great experience at this In-N-Out last week. My 2-year-old accidentally spilled her soda, and an employee named Mark came right over. He was incredibly kind, reassured us that it was no problem (even sharing that it had happened with his own family in the past), and cleaned it up with a genuine smile. His kindness really stood out and made our visit extra special. Thank you, Mark!

On 10/7/2025 I went to the drive thru there were about 7 cars ahead of me but only 2 was still waiting to order. I would of been the 3rd one to order and no one was behind me at the time. I was now going to be next as the young man was on his way to take my order 2 other cars came up there are to lines I was one the right so he waved the 2 cars behind me to go to the left and as I thought I was going to order he skips me and take the 2 cars that just pulled up order and when he was done taking there order he then comes up to me and says he saw me but he had to take thier order first.🤨. I asked him why that was and he told me that's how they do it to keep the line going. Makes no sense to me but ok. My guess and the real reason is Im black and the other customers behind me were not. So that was my first and last time. But im glad everyone else had a good experience.

Line wrapped around the corner but still enough room for our NEMT Van to get a couple of double doubles animal style with strawberry shakes for us in the entire crew was met with great big old smiles and people that were even willing to run inside and get extra ketchup for our fries!! literally our favorite location

Restaurant
Iron Horse Tavern Folsom is a vintage-chic eatery that offers globally inspired pub cuisine. Their menu includes customizable mac 'n' cheese and a variety of food options with a decent selection of mocktails. The staff is fantastic, creating a friendly and warm atmosphere for diners. One recommended dish is the cubano sandwich, which features crunchy bread, soft interior, thick crispy bacon, gruyere cheese, and flavorful mustard.
Great atmosphere and nice selection of food items. We came here for brunch and was very happy. My husband had the Fried Chicken & pancakes and I tried the Korean friend chicken. Both were very good, the crisp on the fried chicken was so good & both had nice flavors. Looking forward to coming back and trying lunch/dinner sometime soon!

Great brunch! We enjoyed the stuffed french toast, waffles, a side of potatoes, and bottomless mimosas. All were very visually pleasing. 4 stars because the french toast could have used more flavor (add some vanilla and a side of syrup maybe) and the bottomless mimosas were pre-made with too much orange juice for my taste. Loved the potatoes though! Seasoned well, soft on the inside. Service was great and enjoyed the atmosphere. We went on the early side so it wasn't too busy.

Thanks to the manager who made us all feel welcome for our first visit and made sure everything was good. We really enjoyed the happy hour -- the 3 specialty cocktails we tried were great. Will return.

I’ve come here before over the last couple of years. Surprised that I haven’t written a review. We came for lunch around 1pm today. The reason I mention the time is that there were people having lunch but it was not crowded and our server seemed overwhelmed a bit. She was pleasant but not on her game at all. The food was pretty good. My burger was good but probably could have been cooked a little longer since I ordered Medium and it was more like Med Rare but like I said earlier our server was a bit overwhelmed and not on her game. My suggestion is she should probably stay off her phone while working and concentrate on her tables. I still like this place but today could have been a better dining experience.

Iron Horse Tavern is a whole vibe inside. Beautiful restaurant & nice Brunch options. My family & I met here for lunch but we did not realize the lunch/dinner menu begins at 3pm. Regardless, we had a nice meal and they also have a kids menu option. My 2 year old had the Cheese Pizza option that comes with a cookie, celery & grapes. I had the Belgian Waffle. If you are in a sharing mood the Bourbon Chicken nuggets and Beignets are good.

I’ve been going here since I moved up from the Bay Area and it has been always spot on for food and service but this time there was noticeably been a change( changed hands). We went for a breakfast brunch and had high hopes. What I received was not the scrambled eggs I ordered but a flat omelette pancake, cold potatoes ( which probably sitting there for hours),burnt tuff chicken sausage and dry toast. I ordered a mimosa and received a wine pour glass of it…. Wait what? I sent that back because for 10 bucks it was not worth it. Service was great and attentive. I am just so sad that this business has changed hands and are cutting corners to make more of a profit. Won’t be going back anytime soon. This restaurant is Definitely lacking what it use to have in so far as the quality of food. I would go elsewhere if you’re looking for brunch or breakfast.

I craved a steak for the past few days. My acquaintance picked out this restaurant and I was open to it because they had a Hawaiian ribeye on the menu. I ordered that Hawaiian ribeye. In fact I ordered it twice and it came out well done both times and kitchen actually blamed it on the marinade and the sauce, I don’t normally post negative reviews but the owner of this restaurant and Allan Wong should know that that steak is prepared wrong and that our nice Server had to deal with two refires back to back clearly both well done. Plus, I left hungry, still craving steak and settled with taco express.. A sauce and marinade would not create the steamed steak that I got; flavor LESS and I’m not gonna go through my past experiences at Houston ‘s and J Alexander, and Capital Grille but I know for sure that no Hawaiian ribeye should look and taste like those steaks did (at $32) The rest of the food was fantastic .. great looking staff, friendly and professional. Awesome service. the bun short rib tacos were great. My buddies Korean fried chicken plate was great. The beer selection was great. The music was awesome, but I wouldn’t order the steak. If you’ve ever visited J Alexander’s or Houston, you know what a Hawaiian ribeye should look and taste like as well. I guess the thing that irks me the most is that I did not receive a visit from a Manager ..no table visit whatsoever with 2 refires when this steak was ordered, medium rare, and came to the table Well done both times. That’s very unfortunate.

Sacramento International Airport

International airport
Airport
Sacramento International Airport, located in Northern California, is known for its modern artworks that decorate the airport. Despite being a smaller airport with 17 gates, it is efficient and easy to navigate with helpful staff available. The American Express escape lounge offers a comfortable space for travelers from 5am-8pm. While mainly serving domestic flights, the airport also has limited international destinations to Guadalajara and Vancouver.
The airport provided a seamless experience, allowing for a smooth arrival and departure with minimal hassle. Baggage pickup was refreshingly swift, making it easy to collect my belongings without any delays. The only slight drawback was the bus ride to the rental car facility, which felt a bit longer than anticipated. However, the overall experience was quite positive and efficient.
George “ — Google review
Clean, calm, and surprisingly efficient. Security lines were a breeze (they take your picture now), signage was clear, and the whole airport just flows well. Terminal B is spacious and modern with great natural light and local food options shoutout to the bartenders and the chill vibe throughout. Parking was a bit chaotic in the economy lot, and we missed the first bus, but overall? A stress-free experience that puts bigger airports to shame.
Marc T — Google review
Clean, bright and airy. Interesting decor and a huge rabbit sculpture that apparently the locals aren’t too happy about for having paid hundreds of dollars for in tax dollars lol. For the B gates, there’s a nice eating area with metal chairs, but with a nice view of the tarmac. People at security are not unfriendly, but not friendly. Very stoic. No one talks to you. I guess it’s like that at all busy airports.
Viv P — Google review
Medium-sized airport with a solid selection of food and shops. The newly renovated terminal and bathrooms are super clean, and there are chargers at almost every other seat, which is a big plus. They recently added a small Starbucks kiosk, but it’s always packed… huge lines every time. Looks like more restaurants are opening soon, which will definitely help with options. Overall, clean, easy to navigate, and one of the nicer mid-size airports out there.
Chris F — Google review
Small clean and relaxed airport. If you are renting a car or returning a rental, do add a few more mins to the plan as you’ll have to take a shuttle over and a short tram to the security area. Everything else is spacious, security was quick and easy, gates were clean and bathrooms were kept up with.
Willie R — Google review
They have free WIFI Smaller airport as far as size of international airports go. Not many food options and the ones that are here have very bad reviews. I would recommend eating before you get here. Security was quick to A gates took 20min max. Looks like many repairs are going on. And they claim to be adding new restaurant but there is no construction ongoing Many tables to sit before the gates but seating at the gates can get packed.
Al C — Google review
Well-lit and very well kept - i.e. there I sn’t rubbish anywhere and even with the relatively “high“ volume of foot traffic, people aren’t dropping food and/or leaving scraps of anything behind - though I did notice two different people who had left their coffee and water/mineral water behind in the waiting area at a gate; that’s the “worst” of anything that might be considered rubbish that was left behind. Even with the announcements over the PA, it’s a relatively quiet airport, or rather, there’s a quiet and relaxed, almost “chill“ feel to the environment.
Joanna W — Google review
This International Airport offers a generally straightforward travel experience, and its navigability is definitely a plus. Getting around the terminals and finding your way to gates feels relatively easy, especially compared to some of the sprawling, more chaotic international hubs out there. This makes for a less stressful start to your journey. However, the airport experience can be a bit of a mixed bag due to the demeanor of some of the TSA agents. While you hope for efficient and courteous service from security, it's not uncommon to encounter agents who appear less than thrilled to be there. Their rudeness can certainly put a damper on the start of your trip, making the security process feel more like an ordeal than a necessary step. It's a shame that a generally easy-to-navigate airport is sometimes let down by a few miserable individuals. On a more positive note, my Air Canada flight from Sacramento International Airport actually departed early, which was a pleasant surprise! It's always a nice bonus when your flight manages to get airborne ahead of schedule, getting you to your destination sooner. This unexpected efficiency from the airline side certainly helped to balance out any frustrations encountered with security.
