A wedding at the zoo?! This was the most magical experience we could’ve ever asked for. From beginning to end the zoo team were absolutely incredible and we were so lucky to have had this dream opportunity! The little details and stories the docents told were just the cherry on top of an already perfect day! We love visiting the animals here and it’s such a special reminder of our wedding day.
Love this place. Never disappointed. Love the people that work there. Appreciate them very much. You can tell they love the animals and they take great care of them. The precious animals are so sweet. I’m glad this facility exists so that we can be a part of their lives and they can be a part of our lives. A lot of hard work and effort goes into this facility. It’s clean. It’s well maintained. I enjoy going here every time.
Amazing little zoo. The animals are well cared for and the docent was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. I love seeing all bear, sand cat and mountain lion. You do need to have patience to wait around and look for the animals as they can be resting all the way at the back when it’s hot. But incredibly worth the experience for just $10. Definitely will revisit
Its a beautiful small zoo neiboring Folsom's City Lions Park and the Library. Ample parking, wheelchair friendly, restrooms, water fountains. Great staff. There is a small train outside with affordable pricing. No pets allowed except for service animals. Open at 10 am closes at 4 pm Thursdays to Sundays. Last admisdion at 3:30 pm Under 2 years is free. Above is $10.
I extended an invitation to another couple, my best friend and her husband, to celebrate my birthday with my husband and me on Halloween. I have a particular fondness for wolves and ravens, and I have previously visited this sanctuary on several occasions. It is important to note that this sanctuary differs significantly from conventional zoos. The animals housed here are not merely confined; rather, they reside voluntarily due to their inability to thrive in their natural habitats for various reasons. Each animal's unique history is thoughtfully presented below their enclosure for visitors to learn about as they observe them. The animals at this sanctuary are remarkably intelligent and responsive to human interaction, often engaging in reciprocal communication. This sanctuary is my preferred destination, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has not yet had the opportunity to experience it. I am personally grateful for the chance to visit, as each experience offers a distinct and enriching perspective. CLynn
Went for a quick walk last Saturday, the Zoo is small but your way around it and how everything is distributed made it a very enjoyable experience, entry is only $10 so give it a try!
The zoo / sanctuary was so much better than we’d expected. We thought it would be small, but actually, we spent a good two hours there I lived the written stories of the animals and the very clear, educational descriptions. The staff, at the entry, the gift shop, and in the zoo, were friendly, knowledgeable and approachable, happy to speak with zoo visitors. there are ramps everywhere, so this is easy to navigate with strollers Highly recommended, especially for children
This zoo truly is a sanctuary, not just for the animals but for a busy minded person such as myself, it’s the perfect place to feel calm and at peace. The animals are all rescued and they have such unique personalities. I love Pogo, the cockatoo, the best. He loves to dance if you play music for him and it’s the cutest! I also love that the park is just beside it, as well as the train, and some awesome walking trails behind the park. It makes for a great day with the littles for sure.

Unique museum showing the grim history of corrections in the last century. Sits right in front of prison gate, next to processing center for visitors of inmates. Makes you glad you are free to go!
Super Cool to see in person, unfortunately the museum was closed, they relys on volunteers to run it, but the guards were so polite and full of knowledge and history. We had a great time.
We are so happy we went here. It's a little off the beaten path and we were skeptical in taking the time to go, but well worth it. The guy running the gift shop was extremely nice and even though it's small the museum is worth doing. You even park right outside the gate so it's a little weird being that close to guards and people going inside for visits. Lots of Johnny cash memorabilia too.
It’s closed now but you still can go to the entrance and take pictures. The guard staff was awesome at information and knowledge.
Dont drink that dirty water. Fascinating historic stop. It's sobering why it was built and still is in use. I love the museum sharing actuall history of the prison and the work and engineering the prisoners put into the construction and maintenance of the facilities. Guards were very accomadating.
Great museum with lots of info packed into a small space. The best part was listening to the stories of the docent onsite with so many years of experience inside the prison. Definitely worth a couple hours of exploring!
To be honest, the overall impression about this spot is so-so cause the admission is $2 also they don’t accept cards payments for minimum transactions under $5, which sounds like everyone must buy something if they don’t have cash. This is not cool to the customers.
Even tho it's closed, the guards will let you carefully look around small area and take pics. Really neat piece of history - Johnny Cash was here.

This was our first time attending the Harris Center. So impressed. Staff was polite and helpful. Not sure if they were paid or volunteers but they were awesome. I brought in a light sweatshirt and was glad I did. The AC was working very well. Parking was provided, it requires a dashboard pass. I believe it is provided with ticket purchase. Since my wife bought the Tix, not sure if it cost extra. This is not a huge auditorium. In fact for the band we saw, Piano Men: Generations it was just right. The band seemed to really be enjoying themselves, audience interaction was high, a very intimate setting. We are planning to attend more events at this venue.
The show was great and every seat in the Harris Center had a good view. The people working the event were cool, opening the doors for you and finding your seat. I went to see Big Mike Hart.
What a beautiful arts center. I will definitely be enjoying their Off Broadway season (The line up looks amazing). It's the perfect size to to really enjoy the shows. It feels almost intimate and I'm certain you would have a great view from anywhere in the theater. Shout-out to the Panto Company children's theater for putting on a a fun interactive show.
Came here to see Shen Yun, plenty of parking, parking was cheap. The tickets were average $140 PP, perfect for folks who enjoys performing arts, ballet and folk tales. The seats were small, with worn cushions, And not meant for sitting for long periods and this show was over 2 hours long. They serve water, coffee and sparkling water during pre-show and intermission. There were no other drink options: No cocktails or wine. Overall it was a cool experience. The Harris center appears to be under construction so hopefully they will update the seats as everything looks outdated. Easy access to restaurants and freeway near by. They feature many different shows here. I hope they would update their menu with more snacks and drinks to include alcohol and better variety. **Don’t forget to follow me on IG for more great places to check out Follow...@Only1ChristineLu **
Easy parking and a nice drop off location for anyone who may have difficulty walking. The facility is clean, seat cushions are pretty comfy and the staff is welcoming and accommodating. The temperature inside is great but sitting under an air pathway it was a little chilly...only because the air was a direct hit. I didnt need one, but someone might bring a light sweater in the summer. We saw the Cinderella ballet and it was a great show, didn't disappoint!
Saw a delightful presentation of Mary Poppins the Musical put on by a very talented and well directed kids theater troupe! From acting to singing to staging to scenery to props to choreography (especially the tap dance routine) AALL OF IT very professionally done. BRAVO!!!
The Harris Center is a fantastic venue for any type of event or ceremony. We recently held our Commencement ceremony there, and the team at Harris did an outstanding job hosting. Everything was well-organized, professional, and seamless. Highly recommend this venue for special occasions.
Love the Harris Center. Not a bad seat in the house. Very clean and well staffed. The bathrooms were immaculate! Housekeeping staff was on top of their game!

I visited Folsom Lake a while ago and had a great experience! I swam in the cold, refreshing water, which was perfect for a hot day. The huge snow cones nearby were a fun treat and made the visit even more enjoyable. The parking area was spacious and well-maintained, making it easy to get in and out without any stress. Overall, Folsom Lake is a fantastic spot for outdoor fun, whether you want to swim, relax, or enjoy a treat. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a refreshing day out in nature!
This place looks very nice because there really isn't any other large body of water around . but the 15 bucks to park is expensive. The cheapest yearly pass is about 125. Kinda expensive too . I knocked off two stars for the price and also. Because of a few things. signs clearly state No dogs on the beach. But there's plenty of people that disregard the sign. Also broken glass on the beach. You should not take your shoes off. The path to walk is nice. But also to many people . These a lot of bike riders that go off in the dirt path. So it's annoying to have to nice cause of the narrow path. I want to check a different part of the lake, but this one isn't worth it
I just went in to check out the campgrounds. Ive always gone boating for the day and love the lake. Campgrounds look nice and may stay soon.
Nice recreational area to stop and have a picnic. I recommend bringing an umbrella or a tent to block the sun, because there's not a lot of convenient shaded places.
Great place to swim and spend the afternoon. The beach is a bit of a hike, but there's a lot of amenities.
Posting this to commend the excellent condition of the floating restrooms on both the north fork (Granite Bay) and south fork (Eldorado Hills) sides on August 27 and 28. I don’t know who does the cleaning, but both were sparkling clean, functional and fully stocked with TP. I suppose the upkeep gets easier as the lake level falls and traffic declines, but the parks employees are tied up with things like boat inspections and budgets are probably tight. The staff at the check-in booth were friendly and helpful. We registered for 2 nights camping on the lake, so they had to verify that there was a marine toilet on our boat, but some occasions are better handled in a larger facility…! The lake is down around 50’ from max, which limits the number of coves to anchor in, but we had no problem launching our big cruiser from the Granite Bay low-water ramp, and I think we were the only ones overnighting on either arm. It’s great watching the stars come out over the water on a clear night, and going to sleep with no sound but the ripples slapping on the hull.
The drive to get into the peninsula was a lot. 9 miles of 1 car roads down a mountain side not ideal. Plenty of spots along shore to hangout for the day.
Folsom lake is just an amazing place and the recreation area is worth the meager $12 entry. Had a great time on the lake with a hired ski boat, and a beach set up. Get there early, especially if it’s going to be a hot day.

I recently visited Lake Natoma for a day of boating, swimming, and relaxation, and it was an absolute delight. The clear water provided the perfect setting for a refreshing swim, and the gentle breeze made our boating experience incredibly pleasant. The calm atmosphere allowed us to fully unwind and enjoy the tranquility of nature. Overall, Lake Natoma is a fantastic destination for a peaceful and enjoyable day out. Highly recommended!
Very nice lake for paddle boarding. Lots of places to relax and take in nature. It was nice to decompress and meditate in the serene environment. Yes I did encounter many people with portable sound devices. I didn’t allow it to bother me too much. But I was wondering why the park rangers that were there did not enforce noise nuisance code violations. It’s one thing to casually listen to music. But some of these people really did push the limits of tolerable noise levels. On another note, I found the open use of marijuana unacceptable in this family oriented park. Having read other reviews these violations are becoming more prevalent. Anyway, it a nice lake/park.
Great spot for families. It does get packed on summer weekends so go early as they do turn cars away. There's a fee for parking and they require life jackets when on boards.
Very nice, clean and pleasant place. Good parking, wheelchair accessible, kayaking available, remote boat racing. Only one table, too many ducks (don't feed them).
Great place for kayaking or paddle boarding.
As a new addict of Paddle Boarding I love this place. I'm a native Sacramentan, been here all my life (over 50 years) and have never explored this place until asked to be a guest to Paddle Board. Such a wonderful family safe environment for just swimming, taking whatever floating (non-gas powered) mode of travel you fancy or even BBQ with fam and friends, better yet, do it all. I've now spread the joy, introducing several friends to join me at Lake Natoma and they all live it too. Lots of parking, lots of trails for walking, hiking, running, biking and plenty of bathrooms, loaner life vests available and sometimes a Life Guard on duty. Don't get me started on the Sac State Aquatic Center either. See it for yourself, enjoy!
There is nothing more peaceful than being lake side with the natural sounds of nature. Hearing the water crash again and again. I was in the shade so it was almost a bit cold. The fish we’re jumping and biting. It makes for a great experience when the birds are chirping, the breeze is slightly cooler, the leaves are starting to change. Just down right awesomeness!!!
Could be the best place for water rec in the area... almost. The good: perfect place to paddleboard, kayak, fish or swim. Huge floating area that can easily accommodate lots of people without feeling too crowded. Lots of inlets to explore and nature (deer, bald eagles, etc.) to see. Hardly any current and (usually) no boat wake so it's easy enough that kids can have a blast. And friendly rangers and lifeguards on beaches. Now the disappointing: I have yet to go when there is not a handful of people that bring speakers and blast music from their boards. I'm fine if people want to listen to music just for your small board radius, but the volume they set seems to be for the benefit of the whole lake. And unfortunately it's often the people with the most sketchy taste in music that seem to crank it the loudest. The level of explicit lyrics and zero shame even when kids are nearby is pretty sad. Nobody wakes up and hauls all their gear out onto the water to hear somebody else's music. If they did, they wouldn't bring a speaker, they'd just enjoy their fellow boaters broadcasts. And there is quite a bit of beer etc being consumed so it's possible some people are too faded to realize how loud they have it? But noise carries extremely well over still water unlike the ocean so less is seriously more in this case. So if you go and you're actually there to enjoy nature, maybe pack some earplugs. And a last heads up for swimmers, there is supposedly a no wake or low speed boat rule but twice now I've seen boats flying down the channel and almost hit a swimmer in the water. I had to quickly paddle in front of a swimmer so the boat would change course, and the guy had just been staring at his phone. He also was blasting music so wouldn't have heard anyone warning him anyways. Definitely use the neon floats for distance swimming and hopefully they'll start patroling the boat traffic before someone gets hurt. Good luck!

The outlet is not that big. This decent outlet mall has many good stores. The parking lot is good with decent amount of parking for car all around. The price is cheaper than regular stores but not too many stores and not a much discount is another problem. There are lots of discounts at some stores, but there are a few that don't have any special discounts. It's a nice mall in general if you are looking for a quick and nearby shopping. They have some food places also which atleast give you a break from shopping 😀
It’s been over 3+ years and management has failed to open a functioning FOOD COURT and now they have turned this place into a Flea Market by operating farmers market on the weekend. It’s a terrible experience for the shoppers. Hopefully they could get it together.
Pretty big place. It's all outdoor. It was a hot day. Didn't feel like working around to too many stores checked out sketchers. They had lots of easy slip shoes But all were casual style. I was looking for a wide easy slip in with arch support, but more formal looking. They didn't have any thing like that. But I didn't find it other shops either.
I love coming back to this outlets every time I’m visiting Sacramento, I always find a lot of great deals, Not packed with plenty of parking,
Went to check out the Hot Topic store, felt like I could move in and live. And the ladies were omg sooooo super helpful and they deserve top kudos for helping me make all of my purchases and updating my address for the five finger death punch & iron maiden shirts that had to be ordered online. They were top notch 💜
this Place has been the same for years I enjoy the outlets you always can find good prices on clothes and shoes. vans especially shout out to Chelsea at journeys she is very friendly and very helpful and it was a great experience in getting shoes for my nephew 👏
Folsom Premium Outlets was very busy many years ago. But it has been much less crowded in recent years after some major retailers outlets moved out. But the outlet mall is more relaxing now. This outlet mall has more trees more seating area, and looks beautiful! It just needs more famous brands and restaurants moving in. Three stars is what the current rating I can put in my review today! I hope I’ll be able to rate them five stars soon!

This place has an interesting history. If you happen to be in Folsom, this is the one two of their biggest attractions.
Deserves a visit. Also nice views and access to Lake Natoma
Great park to visit! Took my pup there too, he loved it as well!
It sure has changed over the last 20 years or so. Very informative.
It was beautiful place to hangout with friends and families, smiles real nature, just do 15 deep breath and enjoy the weather. Most people around there takes there their dogs for waking. There are a couple of tables for eating foods or breakfast, but not sure if allowed to barbecue because I didn’t see any thing for barbecue, but lots of restaurants nearby, restrooms 🚽 are available for people during daytime. I really like it.... walking, hiking, riding .....
Great place to visit and learn about the areas history of generating electricity. The main powerhouse has an impressive wall of granite, and learning how it was all constructed was very interesting. Inside the park building there are science demonstrations to help explain electricity to kids.
Nice little museum close the the historic Folsom town center. Parking is 10$, but it's well worth the visit as it is an amazingly preserved hydro electric station that wasone of the first to generate electricity for Sacramento back in 1895. It was operational until the 50s and then became a preserved park hence all the original equipment from the era.

It was very interesting to see the history of the town. The two guys that worked on 3/30/24 had so much knowledge and was excited to share it. The only Folsom that one of the workers ever knew about was the guy the town is named after. So once I told him now you know of two and shook his hand, he was pretty excited. Great to see people invest in what they do and not just take up space. They made the visit to the museum so much better. Thank you!
This museum is on Sutter St. Which is the main street of Historic Folsom. You come upon it about one short block from the tram station. It's easy to miss because it's tucked back from the sidewalk and looks like another storefront. This is a great starting point for anyone visiting to see this gold mining town because you learn about how it became a gold mining town, why it was named Folsom, and how it has fared as a city right up to present time. It is very small . The exhibits are very interesting and well presented, and some are interactuve. The difficulty I had, and a contributing factor to my rating, was the difficulty in reading the exhibit placards because so many were down low. The museum shop is small but nice with some interesting objects. Cost is $9 and $8 for seniors. The second factor for the rating was the loud personal conversation that the museum employee had that lasted a good part of my visit. Since the space was small, the conversation was distracting. But, highly recommend going.
Great escape from the heat. Learned a bit about Folsom, a city always innovating. Great quilts on exhibit.
Nancy is an amazing tour guide! She is wealth of historical knowledge! Thank you!
I just wanted to thank the amazing volunteers at this museum! I visited today with my 4 young kids, and they had a total blast. The volunteers were so kind, welcoming and helpful. The kids had so much fun with touring old trains and homes, gold panning, pumping water and learning instruments. The kids loved everything and actually learned a lot. Entrance is by donation, which is incredible considering everything the kids got to do. I wanted to write this review in hopes more people will come and support this great place!!!!!
I loved it. Me and my girlfriend went over there and had an amazing time. The place is super interesting! Look at this turnaround for trains! Amazing!
My family loved the Museum! Perfect blend of Folsom history with interactive exhibits makes for an enjoyable experience for everyone, whether you are a history buff or not. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We'll be back!
Great staff, nice amount of historical knowledge. Three also have some time limited exhibitions from time to time besides the main exhibition. It's a small but definitely interesting place to visit! And the cashier lady has a really great knowledge of all they have!

Because of the imminent danger this dam is in and based on supply and demand economical laws, I would highly recommend you guys visit the dam as soon as you can. Prices rose a mere 3% to visit since last year, and I estimate it to be as high as 4% next year and 7.72% by the end of this decade.
This place was low-key lit. There is a nice lake beach which I enjoyed sitting at while I was eating some very nice extra large air. There is alot of places where you can walk and run. You can also move around with good leg room. I also like the sun their as it is very warm. There are slopes where you can bike down at fast speeds.
Why would you open the dam on the 4th of July 2025 flooding Lake Natoma @ Rainbow Bridge? And when I called, it's closed for a Federal holiday go figure. Someone is going to die. SHAME ON YOU. Somebody needs to be fired.
A spectacular Folsom Treasure we now only see from a distance... Folsom Dam is a fascinating landmark and it is a shame that terrorist threats have forced the government to close public access. I still vividly remember touring inside before the September 11th 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States. We visited deep in the dank moist bowels of the dam and looked out over the area from the tower up on the old dam road.
Awesome view from Folsom Lake Crossing. It’s a bit of a walk no matter where you park, but well worth it!
This is a pretty cool dam to see. Unfortunately there isn't a really good place to stop and look at it. They recently built a whole new spillway which runs parallel to the road that passes by.
They used to give tours..you would start at the bottom by the river. Go inside all the way up to the tower..amazing!!
Beautiful lake, however..... looks like we're in for another "drought" this year (2021)! Sad.

What an amazing treasure🥳. This was the best experience by far I have had at this establishment, I previously didn’t love coming here (under past ownership) felt so commercialized, but the recent improvements are really taking shape. The animals seem very pleased, staff is so helpful and knowledgeable (such as the scientist that guided us to various animal encounters), so many amazing aquatic animals and land mammals to visit. The diversity of exhibits is amazing.😍 Pricing isn’t outrageous, animals are well taken care of of, facility is clean, wait time to get in isn’t bad at all, there are also keep sakes for purchase, you receive appropriate sized bags color coded to feed the animals, there are also various bundles available to customize you trip and save money as well 🤩🤩🤩 I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the staff members: Lily, Ryan A, Joy, Malia, Priya and Ryan L! 🥹 My niece loved interacting with all the animals especially the capybara and the parakeets! I really enjoyed meeting ranger a beautiful, OUTSPOKEN, tropical bird.I’m definitely looking forward to coming again and am so happy this new improved version is a place I can continue to bring my children to, time and time again.
We had tons of fun. We took our daughter here for her 3rd birthday and she's still talking about it. The staff were very nice and friendly. We look forward to going back again.
Josh was very welcoming and enthusiastic and he made me feel very welcome. Katie was great at the scuba thing and was really kind. Would go again they had SUCH great service and the place was so fun.
Had a great time with my BFF hanging out with the otters and see all they had. Definitely bring her Grandchildren here. All in doors on a rainy day like today. Staff was amazing with all there knowledge and shared some great story's of everything.
I came here for my birthday and had a great time. Larry, Josh, and Priya were welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly care about the rescue animals. My husband and I purchased the interactive day pass, which gave us the chance to feed and pet animals we wouldn’t normally encounter. The facility has gone through changes since Sea Quest went bankrupt, but the new team is doing a good job creating a positive and educational environment. It feels like a fresh start, and I’d recommend visiting to support the work they’re doing for the animals.
Had a wonderful time visiting this place, pretty worthy for $14. Good variety of exhibits and displays. Has free, non sign up wifi which helped as there was a waiver I had to sign before entry and my roaming call service wasn't working. I did find a lot of displays were pretty cloudy though.
While the littles we were with enjoyed the experience, it was hard for us adults to see some of the animals in spaces too small/overcrowded, or where others seemed lonely and without enough to do. As this place used to be known as SeaQuest and had closed due to various issues, it doesn't appear that the rebranding is doing any better. Very unsure of whether I'd go back.
Came here with my family to just check it out and was more impressed than I thought that I’d be. Very cool displays especially for kiddos! Shout out to Malcom at the front desk for being super rad!

A few scared kids, including my own, needed help getting off the obstacle course. The lifeguard jumped in for my boy after blowing a loud whisle. Within seconds 2 more ran to the side. I mean talk about doing a job right! If you are looking for an amazing day out with your kiddos, this is the place to be. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
My younger child was denied access to the diving board because they were wearing goggles, even though they can only swim with them. The inflatable obstacles were only accessible one at a time, resulting in long, boring queues and no fun for the kids. My younger kid was completely barred from these due to his need for goggles. Another inflatable slide was not being watered, causing kids to burn their bottoms and backs trying to slide down. Neither of my children were allowed on the only slide due to their height, even if accompanied by an adult. It seems like unless you're of the 'perfect' height, you're out of luck. "No running, no running" to everyone creates a stifling atmosphere, like prison. The staff were more interested in performing a ritualistic search for non-existent drowning victims than ensuring actual safety. Watching them obsessively scan empty pools waving there heads for minutes on end was both comical and disheartening. If you shake your head like them for 5 minutes, you'll vomit. The obsession with perceived safety has ruined what should be a fun and enjoyable experience for children. Never again here
First time here and really like it! I loved how clean and well-maintained everything was. There are shaded spots for parents to relax, lots of lifeguards on duty, and fun splash zones everywhere.
Decent pool. Lots of 25y lanes for larger short course meets but it really is a tad too small for events upward of 600+ swimmers. Bleachers are also too short for the crowd standing at the edge of the pool. Surprised at how few drinking fountains are here. Warmup lap pool is very small for larger events. Be prepared to be crowded at larger swim meets. Locker rooms showers and toilets are all good. Location is decent. Next to a larger park. Parking can be a bit of a hassle especially if there is also softball and baseball tournaments happening at the same time.
Love this place , lots of stuff to do and keeps the kids busy for hours . And very affordable. And lots of life guards I would recommended this place
We had fun!! the whole family had a good time! There is plenty of room for everyone and they have dipping dots!! I love dipping dots!!! I even got a little tan!!
This was our first time here today and I have to say im beyond impressed! Very clean and well kept place! Plenty of space to swim and sit. The lifeguards are super attentive. The food is decent quality and price it's what you would expect. Loved it here we will be back 1000000%!
Fun with family and friends on a warm Folsom day. Grandson had his 10th. B-Day party there it the boys had a blast. Staff were helpful, it was a good day.

8-23-25 spending half a day on this great beach, enjoy swimming on this side of beautiful Folsom Lake. After paying $8 entry fee you can choose one of the routes to rich the lake. Plenty of parking spots in several different lots are available. I saw a lot of boats and jet skies but I didn’t check out if they are rental or no. Bathrooms are limited and I didn’t see any water fountains or restaurant except one on the main beach. Maybe because of big construction work in progress. Despite of that we really enjoyed. Totally recommended.
Pretty nice place. Today the weather was cooperative and it was a beautiful day for sunning, biking, boating, etc. It was a chill place and while I was sitting enjoying the view several people joined me at the table and offered me a PB&J sandwich! Super yummy sandwich and super nice people. They gave me a tip and that was to go to the placer county library and get a free day pass for state parks! Win-Win today.
Great place to spend time with family. I'll give 4 starts because the water is murky, yet the water is warm enough for everyone to enjoy. Facilities are decent as the bathrooms are clean they also have a kayak rental place and a burger place. Lots of wildlife. Please look good in the pictures to bring what you need. ⛱️ a must
this is an awesome place to visit. often times, the parking is basically full, but i always manage to find a parking spot. the beach is pretty well maintained i shall say. the sunsets are awesome. when the water is down, there is basically no shade
good place to relax. Well organized beach. There is infrastructure near the beach. Good restaurant, barbecue place. Lots of picnic tables. Entrance costs $12.
It's okay for it's location. The water is so far from the parking if you have a lot of stuff to drag. I like the fact they have a restaurant at this location with rental. The main issue I have is it's so rocky everywhere. Im just used to the beach next to the ocean soft sand so it's hard to compare.
Nice, clean beach and close to home. Only the main beach was open, as the other smaller places were closed due to water levels.
very clean and tranquil. It is truly a hidden gem. My kids love it. Definitely will be back more often!

On a Thursday in September we parked on the residential street Hancock Dr at E. Natoma St. joining the trail there. We walked our dog LuLu Southwesterly and included the spur to Folsom Prison and back to the trail exiting at Stafford St. near Folsom Zoo. A few bikes, a few walkers and runners but not crowded. Total distance was a tad over 3-miles. Then stopped for a great lunch at the Represa Grill on E. Natoma at Stafford St. Great time!
This was a great bike/walk path. I did go off-road on foot to get a better look at the river near the zoo. Can't beat that view unless you're bungee jumping. Next time 8 need to ride here on two wheels. Let's go !
I hiked the trail. This is a very nice paved trail, however it has a lot of bikers on this trail. Use caution if hiking, as the bikers will come barreling at you. There are a lot of unpaved natural trails to explore along the way that are filled with wildlife.
Great trail for all seasons. You can walk, ride bicycle, skate on the trek. Paths are properly constructed. It is beside the Folsom prison, make sure to not do anything that lands you in trouble. It is a pretty long trek, would definitely recommend this place for folsom. I completed half the trek, next time would target for completing full trek.
Really nice paved trail. with option to explore other dirt paths in the wild that goes down to lake Natoma. And to the bridges. Went around 730pm it was a perfect June time of day to go. We pre sprayed OFF bug repellent ahead and not a single bite ♥️
A very well-maintained trail. Great for taking a spin on our electric bikes. Very close to downtown Folsom so you can grab a meal and some shopping and wine tasting while there.
Great addition to the Folsom bike trails. It provides a convenient way for riding your bike from downtown Folsom to Folsom Lake. It has a few difficult hills that makes it a little challenging, but overall it is a pretty easy ride. There is a convenient under passing under one of the prison roads to allow you to bypass the street light. There's also a beautiful new bridge built that spans the ravine.
Very nice at this time of year. Lots of flowers on the side of the bike path next to the rainbow bridge. The path loops around and is great for a bike ride. There is a good amount of uphill and downhill though so be prepared for a workout and bring water.

Good price for sake tasting. The tasting room is bright & spacious. The sake are very good. We were given each complimentary Traditional sake with was so good! We ordered a flight of 1oz x3 sake of our choice: Nama Junmai, Plum Gekkeikan, and Zipang Sparkling. - Traditional Junmai: has a strong fermented rice aroma. It had subtle fruity flavor and refreshing - Nama Junmai: the fermented rice aroma was somewhat not as strong as the traditional but it had more prominent fruity flavor. - Plum Gekkeikan: sweet sake with prominent plum flavor and fermented rice aroma. The sweetness is similar to ice wine but it was less thick in consistency. It will be perfect to pair it with dessert. - Zipang Sparkling: easiest sake to drink! It had minimal fizz but had prominent peach note and very refreshing
Unbelievable gem in the greater Sacramento area. Stumbled upon this place and tried the sake, which turned into an amazing afternoon learning about and appreciating high quality sake. Great prices and can purchase bottles to bring home
Had a lovely mother daughter date here! Excellent sakes to taste at an incredibly reasonable price. The tasting room has a nice atmosphere with a pretty view of the garden as well as an attentive and knowledgeable staff. Definitely recommend!
First time there and had 2 flights of their Sake and it was delicious. Will definitely be back. Very nice people!!
We've been here a few times, to visit the tasting room, and go through the self-guided plant tour. Staff is knowledgeable and cordial. This week we went to a beginning Sushi making class. Price for the class was extremely reasonable, compared to other "cooking" classes. During the class you get to taste four different Sakes, and one plum wine. We made two kinds of Sushi. A California roll, and a hand roll with rice, seaweed, crab, cucumber and avocado. A master sushi maker from Samurai Sushi taught the class. Class only lasts 2 hours. One downside - we had to rush to make our rolls with so many in attendance. IMO the classes should be smaller, or maybe last another 1/2 hour. Not enough space to share all the goodies you get to take home, not to mention your sushi! LOL We had so much fun! I can't wait for the advanced class!
Our experience was fantastic. We sat at the bar and relaxed tasting nearly everything they offered. Highly recommend a visit.
Wonderful friendly staff were very accommodating even when we showed up a day they were cleaning and doing some routine maintenance. We bought some experimental sake some other varieties sold at the brewery on site. Wonderful place to go when you're in the area!
Will not offer tours anymore, but will resume tasting in July. Currently, you can go in and order wines for pick up
