Come here with my family . Was suprised they have exotic fish on their menu. And a bit annoyed with the price list as they don't put the exact price on menu so must be asking the staffs. Overall food was ok but the cumi bakar is not that well done and plain.

The menu is absolutely huge and features sea food as well as a large selection of Indonesian and international dishes. Pricing is more in the upper category for sea food but quality is indeed very high and the food tasty.

Very good restaurants in Balikpapan. They have good seating arrangement, indoor-outdoor, gazebo and you can enjoy sunset with windy breeze wind. You can pick the seafood yourself, fresh and they will cooked it immediately. The food was good (not the best seafood though-IMO). The services was excellent, fast and kind staffs. The cleanliness was excellent, big parking lot also. Pricey. From those combination I give 4 stars for this restaurant.

What I love about this place is because we can enjoy the sea view while eating our food. Some part of the restaurants are literally above the sea. Food is nice but you need to be ready to pay of course. It’s expensive but worth it. Many foreigners come here to eat or just drink and enjoy the sunset. So, dinner under a moon and stars with a sea view is possible at this restaurant.

When travelling to Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, do not miss to try food in this restaurant, namely “Dandito seafood Restaurant”. The food, menus are varies especially seafood. All the meals are very tasty especially crab with Dandito sauce. Must try.

First time to Balikpapan. Local driver recommended this place for good seafood. Ordered Chef recommended Fu Yung Kepiting, Nasi Goreng Special, and Chicken Tenders. Love the Fu Yung Kepiting - the sauce is good! Wanted to try their female crab or udang gala, but they ran out of both at lunch time! Side note: The toilet in this place is clean. There’s wifi, but you have to ask for it. There’s service charge at the end.

everyone said that u have to try the crab if u come to Balikpapan! and @kepitingdandito is the hot place to go! 🦀 we've tried the kepiting jantan saus dandito and I'll sadly announce that crab is not my cup of tea 🥹 the meat is not as sweet as I imagined it to be, and it's such a hassle to eat with just a little meat. however, the sauce is great and everyone happy with it 🙂‍↕️ but everything else is super tasty for me! the udang saus asam manis was bomb and super clean! BUT THE FUYUNG HAI is such on another level, I'd say it's the best fuyung hai that I've tried so far. 🍤🍳 the waiting time is okay and the server were very helpful. the price was okay compared to the overall experience. I'll recommend it to everyone that visit Balikpapan to try. 👍

This is the local seafood restaurant mainly served the crab. Many type of taste to cook the crab. Reasonable price and the seafood are fresh! The restaurant is big but service is a little bit slow but understandable during the peak hour. There is a live band singing which entertain you while eating, which is feel great!

Bruneian tourist here and I came here with my wife. Ordered a good selection of crab, squid and prawn. Liked the steamed prawn, it was fresh and prawn was chewy. Goes well with the lime and chili sauce. Ordered the squid in their special sauce which is actually sweet asam sauce. Squid was fresh and portion good for us both. Sauce was good but a little too sweet for my liking. It was average. Then the crab, we felt the crab could have been better. A little overcooked and the meat just sticks to the shell. Took a lot of effort to extract the meat and it was time consuming. Had a similar crab at Ocean’s, it was better there but a bit more expensive. I felt this place was overrated. It did not leave up to the hype and would be g somewhere else for a good crab.

Take away their black pepper crab and crab meat fried rice. I like their black pepper which is just nice with the taste of blackpepper and saltyness. Price wise is cheaper than the one across too, and personally like this restaurant better too. Value for money for the big portion they served and especially for take away, they can readying for you in boxes packed.

1st timer - im not a big fans of seafood, but this place is recommended from the local friend, said it fresh and tasty, i ordered Black Pepper Crab for home, the restaurant take a very serious wrapping for take away food, it come out in vacuumed plastic bags and in the sealed box that make all the customers easy to bring home

If you like crab dishes you have to check out this place. Balikpapan seems to be famous for its fresh seafood and this selection of fresh softshell crab, fried crab and crab fried rice was irresistible. Given the generous size of the portions the price is very reasonable.

The food had a plenty of taste with best quality of fresh seafood, however Kenari should had treat the water in toilet, seem not filtered, for me its not recomended to using toilet

Driver brought us to this restaurant which apparently President Jokowi and Prabowo ate at. The special assam manis sauce was in the prawn ( udang) dish. It was tasty. Fresh prawns and good sized. The crab was black pepper swimming in a dark sweetish sauce. I didn’t like it as it was not as spicy as expected and too ‘wet’. The battered squid(sotong)was ok. So was chap chye ( mixed veg of the day). The Mee goreng was basically that - fried indo mee with bits of chicken meat & veg. Boring. There’s fish and chicken as well but didn’t try.

It’s a seafood restaurant but also served fried chicken and fried pigeon. They also have dessert and bakery shop. When we came here during weekday for dinner, some of the seafood options are sold out already. They have outdoor and indoor seating areas. We enjoy the food here.

Nobody seems to knows what "Bondy" means. Overall, the restaurant served quality and fresh food. Good for family or to treat guests. Spacey and beautiful dining area but can be very warm in a day time especially at the open space area. The bakery shop is part of the restaurant, located just at the entrance.

We ordered various of foods here and satisfied that they were well served. For taste, it was attractive to our hunger and what we could not believe is they could present the foods in well manner of time. My favourite? Fried prawns with salted egg sauce. Apart from the above, the price would be fit for middle class and above.

The place is located at downtown of Baikpapan. It has a bakery store at the front, and the restaurant behind it. The restaurant is spacious and clean, we had a team dinner at 2nd floor. The food is nice, we ordered satay (which is large), grilled squids, salad, fried rice, fishes, etc. All is nice. It's a nice alternative place for office/business gathering & dinner in town. 👍

This place is wide, has private room and has smoking area. Kepiting Asap was the the best from this restaurant. They crab was very delicious and perfect. The Chili Crab also tasty and perfect. I suggest the Patin, its very good! Before leaving I went to the toilet, no smell but the floor was wet. The price was fair for this fresh seafood, the taste and the portion. Suggest this place for group, family (with kids), business and friends. I will come back here again.

The most catching one was the sambal gallery. Tried the smoked crab, and was overrated to me. However, the crab meat was fresh, so maybe I'll choose another dishes of crab instead of the smoked one. Service was excellent though

Second time here after so many years. Their kepiting asap is still SUPERB. Their special spice is what makes it different from other crabs. This is one place that is a MUST if you're traveling to Samarinda. Super recommended 👌👌👌👌

Pondok Borneo Restaurant is a seafood restaurant which is quite famous for its Smoked Crab the location of the Pondok Borneo restaurant is quite strategic in downtown Samarinda. The menu is quite special among them smoked crab, snapper with salad seasoning, soft-shelled crab, the recommended vegetable is bitter gourd. overall, the taste of the food is quite good and I can recommend it for lunch or dinner with family or colleagues.

Top recommended on Kepiting Asap! Takeaway & on board friendly. Love the perfect marination of sauce, combination of local spices and the crab. Sweet and fresh. Nice condiments, varied of chili sauces from sambal bawang, sambal mangga, sambal matah, sambal cabe ijo Etc.

The seafood is fresh, the cooking is complex, the service is warm, theres an all you can take chili section where they provide various kind of sambal from dabu, matah, mangga mentah and all of them were good 😂

Its quite, the theme of the restaurant i feel almost like lafavela in Bali. I like it. With the museum, antique car etc. And they have so many tables available. Since we have so many options of view.. we decided to sit in the downstairs. With a bit city view but we have poolside to enjoy with. Because I was so hungry. I just thinking about ordering food.. Even we knos this place is not steak house, We both ordering steak medium well and well done. With bpp and mushrooms sauce. Ahh we forgot that crispy steak comes with the flour.. so we accepted our mistake; since in the menu the picture sows the normal steak. Ok nevermind. While waiting my food to arrive, I look around.. amazing view even at night. Oh yeah the small waiters guy coming bringing our steak. Disappointing us with the mixing menu, he forgot what’s he bring to us.. and he smells it till the sauce almost into his nose.. pardon me. Its makes me little bit angry even after he smelled it he guess it wrong.. he said that was mushrooms sauce.. but when I tried it. It definitely Blackpepper.. ouhhh to save my energy i wait it politely. Second food arrived it was served by different waitress.. i ask her what kind of sauce she bring us in the second plates? She said mushrooms with hesitation.. i said ok nevermind.. we ate and the food was not my taste sauce too salty. But ok, because i am hungry. While i am eating i saw some insect, it was cockroach or so.. i took a video. Humm.. when we pay it was all durian smell with the cashier playing with her teeth maybe food scraps stuck in her teeth. I hope that the resto can improve the service thank you❤️🥰

Despite the authentic view and stuffs, the foods are not worth the price. 55k for a thin smollll chicken is a scam. And the juice (avocado) is quite bittery and not fresh. But the services are perfect after all.

Not much on the menu for us vegetarians but really liked the place, very relaxing and love the look and feel of the place. Kind of mouldy chic but in a very good way. Would be a great place to have aome beers but alas it seems to be alcohol free. Will definitely go back.

The place is not bad, but I wouldn't recommend the food. The taste… the looks… Nothing special about it. The staff are also not so accommodating and work so slow. Btw if you come here I think it's wise to put a mosquito repellent first.

In the room no Wifi In the bathroom no water (more than 15 minutes to take a shower with some drops of water) No fresh fruits for breakfast. They don’t have 🤷🏼‍♀️ So far the place is beautiful and perfect for pictures but not for sleep

A charming property by the beach. Only good for photo taking. The workers are so very bleak, no smiles, not proactive. The waiting time is horrible (more than 1 hour). The food is edible. The toilet is wet. Would not recommend.

I had a bad experience here, my order came late and when wrapped was not given cutlery, I appreciate the menu which is fried fish, grilled fish and fish head soup 7/10 drinks 6.5/10 juice too much water little fruit, excess less sugar.

Same owner, same management with Open House in central area of Balikpapan. Only this place located at the beach. Quite beatiful seaview with some unique wooden houses. Suitable for family or group of friends want to hang out with different panorama. Food : snacks and drinks, like the Open House, standard -a bit pricey I thought. Just take it as the extra cost for entrance to this place ;)

This Soto Restaurant was recommended by my friend, so we went there to have some meals. Quick reviews from me: - Soto's taste was great, I like it. Satay's taste is good, just ordinary, nothing special. - No queuing number, so might wait so long, I did on my last visit. - The room was a bit hot, fans were only a few. - Don't eat there too long, or else your shirt will have a bad smell due too cooking and grilling smokes filling the room. Anyway, I'll be back for the Banjar Soto 👍🏻

Located in the middle of Samarinda city, definitely one of the best Soto I've ever eaten! Really recommended. A bowl of Soto would cost about 30 thousand rupiah. Ps: it's a bit pricey especially for people coming from Central Java. But it totally worth the price

The most delicious Soto Banjar in town. You could choose whether with rice or ketupat, rice cooked in coconut leaf. Both are nice. This restaurant also have sate and some traditional snacks in the menu. Lunch time is always crowded, please be patient.

What my friends recommended wasn’t wrong at all, Ayam goreng Banjar cooked in a delicious way and taste good. Love the ingredients used and how they make people feels like eating home, fast service, just sometimes crowded. But i love it!

Coming here has been a tradition since i was a kid. Feel good food consist of rice, fried chicken, sop sayur asem and sambal goreng hati. There are a few branches of ayam banjar restaurant, but this one is the best.

It didn't take long for our order to be ready, awesome... 👍👍👍 A number of inputs including, chicken taste that is not too bold, limited parking area and coffee menu choices that are not available. Luckily, we had coffee sachets ourselves at that time. From scale 1 till 10, I give this resto score 8.5 for sure... 👍👍😎

My parents used to come here only a few months ago and tell me how delicious the food was at this place and how good of a time they had. Now it has gone to absolute shit. If you have a choice, PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE. The staff is unprofessional, service is horrible, and food quality does not match the price (this is if you can even order what you want since everything is out of stock). We tried to order multiple dishes and were told they were out of stock. We then ordered different dishes and they said that was fine because it was available. An hour had gone by and only half of our food came. They then told us they no longer have the dishes we re-ordered in stock and that they were now out of stock. This was after waiting 1-1.5 hours after ordering initially. To quote a waiter, “we are severely understaffed and the chef right now don’t know how to cook this specific dish.” Then why have it on the menu?? After going back and forth trying to get the food we wanted, we gave up and told them to cancel everything. 2 hours had gone by since we sat down and that’s when we decided we’d have enough. We walked out still hungry. If you want a massive headache and want to always check up on your food every five seconds to make sure it’s still coming, be my guest. I don’t know what happened to this restaurant but it needs a serious makeover. I would give this place 0 stars if I could.

This place is huge with plenty of parking and very large menu. The place cater both local and tourist located in the middle of balikpapan city. Whatever you order there is a free flow of lokal lalapan, chilly and sayur asam to accompany your order. The dishes was generous in serving and the tast was both strong and make you craving for more. A must visit place at Balikpapan.

Actually Their specialty is “ bandeng” but we have tried some mixed seafood for 3-5 people. The taste bit too spice for me. But over all its really delicious 😍😍😍. Free flow, rice. Whote and red available. Some sayur asam, and lalapan aswell. And they have few kind of sambal😍. If you can’t finish the food you can take away. We only 3 people so we couldn’t finish it. But for the sambal or so. You have to pay some additional price for take away. Bon appétit!

I ordered Kerang Simping (Saos Torani), Cah Buncis Kriuk Telor Asin, and Cumi Goreng Tepung (Saos Padang) Overall taste is good, the score from me is 8/10 I think the most valuable thing here is the kindness of the waiter/waitress. Altough the place is very crowded, they still serve me kindly and patiently, explain me anything i ask, answer every my question clearly, prepare my table really well, thank you very much for all your helps

The only airport in West Kutai Regency. Only a few flights can be served from here. Destination to Balikpapan with Wing Air airline every Monday and Friday at 13.00 with ATR 72 500/600 aircraft, Perintis Susi Air Flight to Datah Dawai and charter flights.

Small airport for small air planes. Building is new but build with such low quality design and finishing. Not much can be found for meals here and available option are expensive. Outside toilets are bad and smelly. Check in room and officers are good enough to serve such small number of passengers. Waiting room is large enough but men's toilet is awkward. If you're that unlucky visitor that has no one to pick you up, don't worry. Car rent can be found easily, just turn left after edit door, theye are there everytime a plane has landed. Find a Man name Saul with red small City car, he's reliable enough, a local guy and the important thing is that he works there so you're safe with him.
