Lawang sewu just like before i visited. Great colonial building and history to tell. But unfortunetly, this time, when i go to the dungeon, the guide didn't not tell us about the history. More like to tell us about the structure of the building and more. And just to add some advice, if visitor buy the advance ticket like me, please provide the personal tour guide immediately, so we do have to look for the tour guide place on our own

This place is majestic. When visiting this place I would strongly suggest you to use a guide provided there, it’s not free service (for a family of four you will have to pay at least IDR100,000) but it’s really worth it. The guide will not only tell you the history about this place but they are good photographer as well, they will tell you the best location to take picture and will take a nice picture for you.

Really place to learn some of local history. The flow of the museum needs to be better sih. So people like me, when decided to go there without any guide still can do a proper tour. Maybe a guide letter / sign can help. Sssstt they got a hidden basement tour (some said it haunted!)

When learning about the Old Semarang, Lawang Sewu is one of the historical place to understand the history of how the Indonesian Train company was initially founded. From getting off the train at Stasiun Semarang Tawan, visiting the Old Town, then learning about the architecture of the initial Train Company HQ at Lawang Sewu and then closing it with the old St. Ambarawa Museum is a must.

A great place to know a little bit more about the Indonesian history with the Dutch. I love that there's something for everyone: adults, small children and older people. I got to do the immersive one - price a tad more expensive than the other entrance fee but worth it to have someone talk to you about the history behind Lawang Sewu. Prices probably will change so I'd refer you to their website. The immersive experience in Building B has AC so a good break from the heat and humidity. There are souvenir shops, photo booths, caricature making if you want the traditional route of having your photo taken, owls that perform tricks, of course eateries and lots of museum like information inside the buildings. Depending on what type of tourist you are - there's something for everyone. Just a little warning, they won't let you bring drinks inside so better to put them inside your bag and drink it after going in or buy from the vendors inside. For the elderly, they also have wheelchairs. Just leave your ID when borrowing one. Outside the gates, local vendors sell toys and other souvenirs too

It is more attractive now with the immersive experience so its not that boring as it used to. When visit Semarang make sure u try to come at least once

It is a great place to stay, think, and view cultural heritage of multicultural Semarang. The temple is truly huge, the smell of scent present everywhere, and as for Indonesia this place is clean and pleasant. I wish I had more time to sit down and clean my thoughts or even meditate but I only had two hours free during my business trip. Enjoyable and wonderful place.

Made a quick stop here just to seeing sight and take some pictures. Such a beautiful place with a very serene vibe. There is also a praying room for Muslim tourist here and there are many food stalls in case you feel like eating something after your visit. Lovely!

They have different types of tickets, the more expensive ones as they said, could visit all the places. However, you are still prohibited to enter their “holy” rooms because they don’t categorize you as “PRAYERS”, meaning if you don’t pay extra for offering incense. So hilarious, because they actually have no idea whom they are praying and why they are praying for him. 你们知道郑和真的是谁吗？? 无知的可笑。

Food looked great when on bbq. Paid for big squid , got 1 squid skewer with 4 squid rings on it. Completely killed with sauce, rubbery , tasteless. Tako yaki were undercooked. Had to throw everything away.

It lost its glory days, the old times semawis is much better than the current semawis. The foods are becoming so mediocore and have less variations compared with recent bazaar and food stall, and it's not as festive unless it's near Chinese new year date. It does not feel special for locals , and for people from other town. The iconic food mostly gone , only modern foods. The seating is gettig very few. Place is still clean , even cleaner from the old times semawis.

I went there on saturday night, around 9pm, and the place was so crowded! There are lots of food stalls, some selling korean food. Only few stalls provide tables. Visitors are varied starting from teenagers to adults. The space is narrow and the place isnt clean because many buyers throw rubbish on the road. The food price is a bit high. For me, its not a kid friendly place. But if you love to taste kinds of food while walking and do not mind to queue, its a perfect place.

When i go here last time, it supose to open at 9. But after 9a.m the gate still bot open yet. Until 9.30. So i decide i will bot go inside . But afterall, the building itself, have a characteristic to look up

This is my first time in Old Town of Semarang. The church is just under restoration. Very good places to visit. Worth it.

Gereja Blenduk is considered to be a landmark in Semarang. Old yet iconic and historical. It used to be a Dutch church and up until now it is still operating. Open for public to visit but also open for Sunday Mass. Located at the heart of Semarang Old Town. The building is still properly maintained. The style is very 'Dutch'. Come in the morning for a great view and less crowded for photo session.

The church stands majestically under the sun... you can't miss it. Make sure you get an Instagrammable worthy shot in front of the church. After that, be sure to take a stroll across the streets admiring the ancient city. The roads, lamps, buildings - are colonial Dutch era that makes you think you are in an European town!

This rock and soil mine has very low activity during Eid Mubarak holiday so we can get clear picture of the view. The road is accessible when you use sedan or SUV but rather danger if you want to go further close to the mountain especially when it rain. We go 4WD and go deep and in high ground to get stunning view. Its worthed the risk actually, amazing view, would even better for sunset time. The road is much like off road, with many of big rocks hasnt cleared along the road. The minus thing is not recreational area it only open for public. So not much activity can be done but taking picture or filming the sight seeing.

My friend and I describe this as a “tourist trap.” It is included as a tourist destination in an article we found, but little did we know that it’s in a middle of nowhere. The canyon is not even natural-made. It’s made from the constant quarry. For photo’s sake, you can visit the place but make sure you have your own mode of transportation because I don’t think you can find a Grab car or bike when you’re there.

This place isn't managed as a recreational place so there are not many things to do here aside from taking photos. It's not far from the city but the road isn't good for vehicles so be careful. The mining activities continuously change the shape of the hills. The last time I was there, the hills didn't look good as in my previous visit.

THIS place actually is a sand mining area. The ongoing mining activities creates hills and canyons. People find it interesting to take photographs of the place specially in Golden Hours that is in the morning or in the afternoon. The place is Instagramable despite the path to the place quite hard to travel. It's best to use motorcycle to get to the location. It will be easy to move to other spots since the place quite big. Anyhow there is other way to reach the location by your own car. Just follow the route of dump trucks of the site.

Its a beautiful spot, perfect for photography, yet never go without preparation. Naturally the scene is an active mining location, there are numerous mining activities there, and the road is like an offroad track, a sedan or car with low ground clearence definitely can't go there, especially when its rain. Very dangerous! Despite all that, the place is a beautiful spot to take a photo.

It's actually a Quarry. What's left of it is today's scenery, haystack hills consists of volcanic rock layers. The view itself is quite pleasant, especially when around sunset. Quite dusty and windy in here, if you want to visit Brown Canyon I recommend to bring your own mask. Don't get too close to the hills, it's quite high and vertical. Be aware of rock avalanche.

A "tourist" sites that gives America a grand canyon scenery. This is the site of a stone quarry that is still active but is open to the public. If you visit here you'd better have a mask because there are still other trucks carrying mining materials. Access to this location is not so good. If you geologists this place is good to learn volcanostratigraphy. Hopefully, local authorities can make the site a conservation site so that it can become a natural tourist attraction with visitors.

Kota Lama Semarang is one of my favorite spots to walk around. The old buildings feel so unique and give that classic vibe, perfect for photos or just enjoying the atmosphere. There are also lots of cafés and small shops to explore. It can get a bit crowded on weekends, but that’s part of the charm. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Semarang!

One of the main issues I encountered during my visit was the temperature inside the gallery. It felt quite hot, which made the experience a bit uncomfortable. In a space meant for contemplation and enjoyment, maintaining a comfortable temperature is crucial, especially in a tropical climate like Semarang’s. As for the art on display, while the pieces showcased are interesting and varied, I felt that the collection was somewhat limited. Given the entry fee of Rp25.000 per person, I expected a more extensive exhibition. The current selection, although thoughtfully curated, left me wanting more in terms of quantity and variety. Overall, the Semarang Contemporary Art Gallery provides a pleasant escape for art enthusiasts looking to explore local contemporary works. The only one contemporary art museum in Semarang I guess. Located in the heart of Semarang 'Kota Lama' and the building is a former Dutch building. The place is quite small. The paintings will be changing following the enacted theme at the time of visiting. Yet at the second floor, there's no AC so its very hot plus Semarang weather during noon time is also very hot. And the ticket is quite expensive for a small exhibition in my opinion.

I've always liked visiting galleries. There's always something interesting to learn about! The gallery had "night market" as their theme while i visited. Since I am a local, it was easy to get information on the pieces. However, it would be nice to provide english explanation to cater for tourists. I hope that this could be improved 😊 Though it looks nice, I do think the gallery need repairs. Especially the leaky roof on the second floor. Also, it was pretty warm inside, maybe consider adding air conditioner/fans for comfort.

This is an excellent attempt to promote local contemporary artists, though the works seem to be from among a limited pool of artists with not much variety in style. Nevertheless, worth a short visit for some pics in a trendy gallery if you’re in the heart of Kota Lama.

Lovely small art gallery in the heart of Semarang’s old town. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the gallery itself and the displayed artworks. The temperature and air circulation should be improved. 25.000Rp are an okay price.

The place isn't huge. Two floors and not many artwork exhibited when I happened to be there. It was clean, there are three small couches we can sit on and relax for a bit in the middle of the criminally hot weather of Semarang. It would be a lot better if they maximize the space and put on more artwork, cause the place was definitely spacious enough and they weren't doing a good job to exhibit as many artwork as they can.. Overall, it's not bad. I personally think this place could be a 5 star art gallery if there were more artwork being presented. Also, the ticket was 20k IDR.

Waste of time and Grab ride to get there and back. Nothing like photos and very poor compared to colourful village in Malang. If you already been to Kampung Tridi and Kampung Warna Warni in Malang, don’t waste your time to visit here.

uh i mean almost every city has this kind of rainbow village. There's one called Colorful Village in East Java as well. Not bad, but not the best tourist attraction spot. What i like from here is its cleanliness (considering that it is a village), vibrant colors, florists with their beautiful supplies in front of the village, and its wall paintings.💖

Great place to visit and take photos! So colorful and lovely. Don't forget to buy some flowers to make your photos aesthetic af. Just so you know, you'll need several hours to explore this little place cause it's very wide and just like a maze, very fun to explore! The citizens are friendly and ready to give you directions when you get lost

Beautiful concept of tourism. The villagers and local government have made a great effort to turn local village into such beautiful tourist attraction. There are sign and map of long tracks or short tracks for trekking. Watch the step because sometimes it's little bit higher. Don't hesitate to ask local villagers if you felt out of track.

I went there this morning. Not recommended. The painting is fading and place is dirty. Don't fool by other people's PS photos. However, if you don't trust my opinion, you can find out yourself.

It's a fantastic experience! Highly recommend for those visiting SEMARANG. It's a little similar to the Gamcheon Culture Village in Busan, South Korea.

Little Chinese/Indo food market. Not so much diversity. We expected more of it. The food that was there was very well prepared. And of course this is the most important.

I went here on a Friday night and it's not the biggest market but there is afew nice food stalls. There's some seating to eat your snacks and some love music to enjoy. It was quite lively but not that many Chinese dishes.

If you’re looking for local street food in Semarang, Waroeng Semawis is a great place. Located in Chinatown and near Johar Market and Old Town. They offered various food from halal food until non halal food. Can find shoufle pancake, seafood, fried tofu, pork satay, siomay, batagor, bakcang, conglik ice, ice potong, cakwee, jasmine tea, lumpia, kwalik tofu, crepes, and many more. You can also find street singers singing songs with beautiful voices. In here, a bit hard to find a parking space. Recommended place to visit if you’re in Semarang on weekend. Open from 18.00-22.00. Per person can spend of more than 50K for 1-3 kind of foods. Just don’t forget to bring your umbrella in case suddenly raining at night.

semawis is a regular culinary event, held every friday to sunday, usually starts from 6pm to 10pm. it's a nice place for anyone to see a crowded with a nice ancient chinese atmosphere. ppl here are visiting not only for having dinner but also to walk around and enjoy the crowd. there are quite many interesting activities especially during CNY (chinese new year) event which is always fantastic. but make sure you come earlier during CNY or you'll find out really difficult to park your car. if you're a tourist, it's better you take a cab.

there is many food stall you can choose from. i went on rainy season so you might consider bring an umbrella and wearing non slipery shoes. there is public restroom in some point of the road, its clean and comfortable to use.

I recently visited Koenokoeni Restaurant in Semarang. The place has a very nice ambiance with vintage Javanese decor and beautiful city views, especially at night. It feels cozy and artistic a great spot to relax or dine with family and friends. The food was okay overall — nothing outstanding, but still enjoyable. The nasi goreng pete was very good and definitely the highlight of our meal. The rest of the dishes were fine too. Service was friendly.

Really impressed by ambience of this place. There are a lot of oldies props/ decorations such as pottery, radio, to motorcycle! At the backside, there is big pendopo facing to a valley, offering city lights view at night. Food is also great. I almost have no complain on it, except that I think they can put more portion of protein or veggies (looking at the price). Staff is also friendly and serving time is considerably fast.

Wow such a spacious place. People prefer their outdoor seating as opposed to indoor, as they provide live music and the atmosphere is quite chilly and not as hot. We ordered their nasi kecombrang, nasi goreng kecombrang petai and nasi goreng ruwet. Everything tasted superb! Indeed they are on the pricier side, just like in Jakarta, but definitely worth it. They also provide a welcome drink of kunyit asam and a snack of cassava chips. Lovely singer as the live music performer. They serve everything quite fast.

Located in a valley of Semarang, fresh weather up here, unlike the city center with Javanese ambience surely. Quite good food and affordable, quite friendly waitress but "jutek" cashier. I wonder many people came here for a meetings or having lunch/dinner, but the services was so so.

Oldies but goodies Been my xx visits, bcos one of my must visit when i got to Semarang city. But only review this visit (first time after Pandemic) when i heard the place is on sale. I think the recent operator is not from the main family anymore. Something is different. The gelato was not smooth as before But rum raisin still a fave here. "Oen" Shop Semarang 1936. Saying our name will bring a smile to your face, too. Where does that strange name "OEN" come from, and why is a restaurant called "TOKO"? To explain, we need to delve into the history of TOKO "OEN." TOKO "OEN" was founded in 1912 by Mr. and Mrs. Oen Tjoen Hok in Yogyakarta. It was originally a small cookie shop: "Mrs. Oen's TOKO." The small shop, which sold exclusively Dutch cookies and pastries, was very popular with the Dutch and Indonesian communities. Later, it expanded to include a restaurant and ice cream parlor. The restaurant became very well-known because, in addition to the usual local dishes, it also offered a Western menu and authentic Italian ice cream. Around the 1930s, other branches opened, first in Jakarta, then in Malang, and in 1936, in Semarang. TOKO "OEN" became a household name, the name TOKO "OEN" was patented in 1936 by grandpa Oen, hence our strange but unforgettable name TOKO "OEN" here in the Netherlands.

Just have been here for a dinner. As being a Dutch national I couldn’t resist trying the ‘Kroket Toko Oen’! I must admit that it tasted fantastic! The ragout inside was fully loaded with beef, very tasteful. Next to that I ordered ‘Lunpia Tojo Oen’ & Satay Ayam. I finalized my dinner with the Rhum Raisin ice-cream. All tasted very nice and I would definitely come here again!

I always return to this place whenever I am back to Semarang. It is kept in its original style , food and service , reminding the old days . That is the place to cheer before it is gone . Highly recommended Risole & local coffee “kopi Tubruk”. Also I did try out a slide of ice cream. A taste similar to 40 years ago

We ordered several dishes for lunch: Bestik Sapi (beef steak), Bestik Ayam (chicken steak) and Resoles (a derivation from French rissoles and influenced by Dutch cuisine). The steaks were prepared old Dutch style, drenched in thick savory steak sauce. The resoles were filled with ragout fillings and served with yellow lemony sauce and chili. Unfortunately this time we didn't have spare space in our stomach to enjoy its ice cream and cold drinks that should be refreshing in hot Semarang day. Recommended to visit and enjoy the food if you are in Semarang!

The location is quite hidden, it's located in elite housing complex. Road to the restaurant is quiet in the night, low road lightning but it's safe. The food was great, nice taste for the price, personally the price was acceptable for the grill menu. The view was good, especially at night, you can see Semarang city lights from your seat (it's recommended to choose outside seating). Staffs was great fast and accurate. Overall great experience, will visit again for third times next year's eid al fitr. just missed the grilled baby potato this year, I hope the restaurant bring back this menu.

Beautiful dining place on top of Semarang city, nice view of semarang. outdoor n indoor seating available. menu selections are also very nice, both western or indonesian cuisine. Price is also worth the menu. service were prompt and friendly. the only small glitch was that the washing hands facility at the entrance was broke for few days ( new normal SOP), hope they fix it immediately, or at least they can prepare something for substitute while waiting for the permanent fixing. In general, everything was good.

The menu limps on different thoughts, but offers something for everyone. The friendly staff is huddled together, but is not very focused on the customer in my experience. This restaurant is less cozy for solo travelers. But I certainly will come back again with company.

A vintage concept restaurant, with speciality in indonesian traditional cuisine. The place itself is very beauty, clean, and neat. Plenty of instagrammable spot available here. The special menu here is the Smoked Chicken, on which a must try. Also available package menus for up to 4 people. Though it's quite expensive, even for Semarang, but yeah... it's kinda worth it.

This place is huge. Lots of tables, vast parking lot. The menu is very diverse. We came with a group of students each ordering different dishes and none was turned down as "sold out", we all got what we ordered. I had rawon and it was nice, however, I've eaten better rawon. The view here is adorable. One can go fishing here if they want.

Nice resto to enjoy seafoods. The location is bit far from the city center, but near to several tourist places. They serve almost all the seafood menus with a quite mid-range price. You can pay with QRIS. They also have a good scenery of fish pond and imitation of sea. They also have proper and spacious Musholla and Toilet.

Well, I have been visiting the place several times and only today I share my experience. The food was great, tasty as usual, the service was somewhat needed to be improved. Atmosphere wise, nice. Open air seating, breezy and spacious. Anyone visiting Semarang should at least try the food once.

Great Lumpia! Wow the filling is so fulfilling 🤣. I loved it. Very thick lumpias and fresh. You can eat it there or have it to go. I ate my lumpia there, fresh from the fryer. It's a simple and humble place, so there aren't too many seats. I thing the seats can only accommodate a couple of people max.

Legendary. Local always recommend. Near a nice temple in Chinatown. Tried both the fried and normal. Both were good with a lot of filling. There is a nice burnt flavor, which is what jahe them special. I sat in the noodle shop nearby, because I ate noodle too. They don't mind.

This is the famous Lumpia Semarang, and almost everyone I asked for lumpia recommendations in Semarang pointed me to Gang Lombok as their number one choice. It's always crowded with buyers, and many people get it as a souvenir. I always visit in the morning for take away, so I don't have to wait too long. They only have one lumpia variant, which is a mix of bamboo shoots, eggs, and shrimp, priced at 22,000 idr. It might be a bit pricey for a lumpia, but I think it's worth it. The bamboo shoots have a smoky aroma and aren't too pungent when eaten (unlike other Semarang lumpia that can be quite strong), and the wrapper isn't too thick (so you don't end up eating too much flour). It's definitely worth trying when you're in Semarang!

Saving the best for last, I made Loenpia my final stop before leaving Semarang. I went to Gg. Lombok despite not knowing which store in Semarang sold the most genuine Loenpia. On a weekday before lunchtime, I stopped by; there was no line, and the service was prompt. The tastes and ingredients in Loenpia's "Goreng" and "Basah" were both delicious and rich. Each one cost IDR 20k. Loenpia Goreng lasted up to 24 hours and Loenpia Basah lasted up to 12 hours in the room temperature, while both lasted about 1 week when refrigerated. Alongside the store, there is a temple called Tay Kak Sie. Moreover, it is free to visit there.

I think this lumpia is overrated. I can't find the shrimp inside the lumpia, which 20k per piece isn't worth enough. But it has a big size and smokey flavor. Ah, and the sauce is too thick.

A pleasant dining spot to enjoy with family or for business. Quite comfortable for casual conversations and lingering, enjoying the atmosphere and F&B. The location in Kota Lama, the Dutch heritage building, and the one and only Spiegel in Indonesia are all strong points for this place. The food we tasted was all delicious: beef carpaccio, tagliatelle a manzo, capellini burro e pepe, and smoked veal tongue. And for desserts: tiramisu and banoffee tart. Our favorite are capellini and tiramisu. During reservations and upon arrival, we were reminded of the recommended and prohibited dress code. We dressed accordingly out of respect for the place. However, this rule seems flexible in practice, as right across from us was a family group, some were wearing t-shirts, shorts, and flip-flops. All prohibited items. Yet, they were allowed to enter and enjoy the menu. It did somewhat spoil the ambiance, though it didn't detract from the restaurant's positive qualities. Definitely will recommend this place to others and come back while in Semarang.

I had a quick trip to Semarang and had heard about Spiegel. I came for dinner alone and got sat at one of the lounge tables. There was a live jazz band playing that night which I enjoyed, the singers & band provided a beautiful backdrop for the place. The food was amazing, I ordered the braised veal ossobuco with saffron risotto and a cocktail I can’t remember the name of. The experience was great. Only comment would be that it took a while to get anyone’s attention but once they took my order it was much better

I recommend you to come around 5.30pm so you can enjoy the atmosphere's differences and its surrounding better. The dishes were high quality like always and satisfying choice of drinks even though you don't drink alcohol. This time I came with my mom on wheelchair. And we had an excellent service and help from the staff to lift her through the entrance.

For me the soto is nice, with some additional salt by myself. The garang asem also nice. Service is very fast, perhaps not too busy now during breakfast. Impressed with stainless steel table set so feel clean and sturdy. Parking lot is limited though.

Busy old Chinese resto on Sunday, large area. Dimsum is available and large menu, non halal food. Recommended on sapo tofu, roasted chicken, broccoli and beef. It’s out of my expectation from seeing Google review to food tasting experience. Helpful staffs but the Captain who arrange seating is rude. Customers queue and wait for 10-15 minutes to get seats while the new open area is quite empty but he insisted to put us in other seat where other customers almost leave the table. Some seating spots are stuffy and no fan or air-condition, quite dark area too. Price is medium. Payment only cash or BCA debit, pay as you go at cashier.

Good food, good place. A Chinese restaurant with average prices. Pork and some menu is not written in the book menu, but you can ask for it when ordering from the waiter. update : I came back to try the famous nasi hainan, and yes, it was great. the samchan was so delicious, crispy and tender. the charsiu was amazing as well. unfortunately the waiter got our order wrong, because we asked for noodles and nasi hainan. and when we complained, they were in a-didn't-want-to-be-blamed tone and made me a bit upset.

Better come with reservation! Without reservation, even if you waited in line for 3 more people, be prepared to wait for 2 hours. (We were only 2 people) Receptionist downstairs isn’t friendly nor informative. Impolite as hell, didn’t even apologise for whatever inconvenience. came upstairs and there were still empty tables. The queue wasn’t moving and yet she can’t give any information about it. Waiting area is a joke, people can smoke while kids are around, outdoor at this hot weather with mosquitoes. All those upgrades and can’t afford a nice waiting room. Gotta pay valet too if you cancel after all the wait. Older tavern seems better somehow.

Always our go to place to have steak. The menu here is well picked. Most of the food we had here never disappoints. The service is great, the ambience is great. They have live music in the evening. You just have to come here and experience it yourself.

Rather upscale chilling space with great ambience and serving. The food itself isn't that worthy to be rated as perfect, but there's nothing to complain. The beverage on the other hand are awesome. It's too bad I'm driving and had few sleep prior, that I had to miss their alcoholic lineups. The day i went was Tuesday and there's a love performance by a guy with guitar and singing like he's drunk. It hurts me a lot up until now.

Really great food, there are options for non-halal too. Sadly, they only took last order at around 10 or 11 pm and closed at 12 pm. It's a bit too dark for my liking, but overall, it's very cozy and chill place. The waiters are great, and the prices also worth it.

Great food with great atmosphere around. Friendly and polite staff. Food we ordered and experience: #1 The pork ribs platter was tasty and very classic barbeque dish featuring a simple yet delicious combination of sweet, sour and savoury sauce. The mashed potatoes and simple salad as side dishes were perfect combination. #2 The Pizza was tasty, the tomato base and the cheese matched with the selecrion of toppings. An awesome combos in a pizza. #3 The fish and chips was a little bit off, because it made of pieces of chunky fish instead one whole fillet. But it was delicious though. The airport is comfortable, spacious enough, but there is very little variety in the places to eat. We left the plane at 12 noon, and there was nothing ready at the food stand. Finally, we just ate snacks sold there.

Jendral Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang is a pleasant airport! The airport is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Staff are friendly and helpful, making check-in and security processes smooth. The facilities, including restrooms and waiting areas, are modern and comfortable. Food options are decent, with local flavors available. Overall, a great experience for travelers!

Major upgrade from the old airport. There's only one entrance for departure and arrival which also serves as public-commercial space. The well designed airside lounge also compact and easily traversed from one gate to another. Too bad SRG is not a major airport so you cannot drop and store the checked baggage before the scheduled counters open.

New airport of semarang, modern construction, much larger than the old one, not so crowded, almost every commercial space has been rented and in operation. The passenger waiting room is large 👍

Even though not too big like Soekarno Hata Airport I think its so great and compact With clean,comfy,cool All facilities function very well, they have a big musholah or prayer room with certificates of qibla calibration. It’s been years since my last visit. The airport really near to the city. By taxi only around 30 min. You can go to city by taxi. Before exit gate there will be many taxi counter, you can pick one or just go out to the pick up area, there are some other options.

Convenient with direct train (KA BIAS) to city. Comfortable, clean with Javanese ambiance. Some find food/shops pricey, terminal could be more modern.

It is small but convenient airport near solo, central java. The terminal is clean, not too crowded, and easy to navigate. Check-in, security and boarding are usually smooth. Few shops and outlets are also there, thought options are limited compared to bigger airports. Transportation to solo and nearby cities is straightforward with taxis and buses. A calm and efficient airport for domestic travel.

Worst ever airport. Had to wait almost 1 hour for luggage to get to the conveyor belt after arrival. Arrived 12.43 Lion Air from Denpasar, luggage comes out at 13:40. Terrible service, worst I’ve seen. Even much smaller airports do better.

International airport in Solo, but technically located in Boyolali. From the airport you can reach the Solo city by taxi, bus, or train. By train (to Balapan Station) you can book directly in the counter or book online, the ticket price is 7k. By taxi you can book directly in the counter near exit gate in arrival area, and for bus you have to go to bus terminal near parking area.

The airport has so many changes since the last time I was here. Now seems they having a lot of improvement including new boarding area. The concept is so good, the boarding area is in the same area with the food court, and there is no more glass wall to separate the area like before. The rest room is also good and clean. So comfy, they even have baby closet in it.

Small but nice airport. The building is clean in every area. The waiting room is nice, wide and cool. Not too crowded also. They have several shops inside the departure terminal and outside the terminal. In the waiting room mostly there are restaurants and cafes.

Reactivated airport. Expect minimum amenities. As of august 2025, only terminal A is in service. There's only one food stall before the check-in gate; and there are only a few fnb and souvenir shops after the check-in gate. No active lounge service is available.

At the arrival section there are too many drivers offering rides to town.. No bluebird nor grab queue... They are not allowing to enter... I was kick out and ask to wait ouside to take csrs if using applications... This is very inconvenience and So disappointed.....there also not much food and shops to waits... Feels very deserted with plenty of drivers....

Very busy airport with so little facilities. The airport is not big, that’s why it’s so crowded. Rather uncomfortable due to its size. You could find charging station, souvenir shop, lounge, and so on. But it can’t help. I think it has to be improved due to more and more people come to Yogyakarta

These days this airport only serves limited number of flights. The rest are moved to the new international airport about 50 kms away. This results in the lack of traffic of passenger in the vicinity. Like a closed business, the narrow passage is pretty dark.

Very small international airport, still have some big brand fast food and coffee in it. This airport will operate till 2020 and will change to new airport, by the beach and 50km away from city. No sim card selling found upon arrival. Immigration and customer officer not friendly

The international airport in Yogyakarta which in my opinion is very small in size like a bus terminal. but the service is good, waiting room is comfortable. In here , you will smell something like a bread. Very taste. Many things make this airport different from other airports. namely cultural diversity and local wisdom of Javanese culture which is very thick at this airport. The saddest thing at this airport is the narrow apron so that many planes have been delayed to wait for landing, so the plane is circling above the Kulon Progo area before landing. The density of this airport has exceeded its maximum capacity. Fortunately there is a replacement airport even though the replacement airport has not been 100% complete. Yes, Yogyakarta International Airport is a replacement airport for this adisutjipto airport.
