Ocean View Park

$$$$affordable
Restaurant
Ocean View Park is a unique attraction in Bislig, owned by Mr. and Mrs. Werner William. It features the International Doll House, which showcases a diverse collection of dolls from around the world, including rare and expensive pieces. The park also houses a restaurant with stunning views over the bay, offering delicious dishes and friendly service. Situated on a hilltop overlooking Brgy. Mangagoy, visitors can enjoy a peaceful atmosphere away from city noise and pollution.
The place is cozy and relaxing. The food is great and not expensive. We enjoyed pork tenderloin steak and pork stew. They serve peanuts too for free. We had a great lunch here before heading to bislig baywalk.
Geisa A — Google review
The food is great, it's costly but well deserved naman. I love the view but I don't like their service. That one waitress throw the chopsticks, two packs of sugar and the tissues in our table, her face was so grim it's like she doesn't love her job at all, or I think she just didn't want to serve us.
DisayLyn P — Google review
This place isn't that far from my home so I was able to visit more than 5 times. Their fried chicken is my favorite! It tastes so good and the size is big! I love the place because it's far from the toxic vehicle smoke and noise. It's a very calm and quite place. I like to come here because the stairways make me lose calories 😁 Doll House is amazing too! I'm so proud to have such beautiful tourist spot in our hometown! Highly recommended! 👌😍
Robelle J — Google review
The restaurant situated on a high land where you can view Brgy. Mangagoy. You will surely need to exert all your effort in the stairway as it has 275 steps to reach the top. Food was good for a reasonable price. Customer Service is also great.
Jamaica S — Google review
Beautiful views, great food, great staff smiling all is good
Xavier M — Google review
Good exercise to reach the top.The place has a nice ocean view. The food's okay but a bit expensive. There are a lot to see in the dollhouse. We visited the place very early in the morning that the park itself was still closed. But thanks to one of the owners who exempted us to take a look at the place.
Rebekah — Google review
Probably one of the best view restaurant here in Bislig as it's situated on top, so you have to inch more than a hundred steps to appreciate the view. They have a famous international doll house which you pay for 20 pesos as entrance fee but convertible to food expense if you decide not to go inside the doll house. As for the food, just average with reasonable price.
Jon C — Google review
Haven't tasted their food though I can say that the place is quite peaceful and relaxing. You can see an overwiew of the sea while looking up the stars above 😁 Note: There's an international doll house here that you also might want to visit.

Serving time is very very poor! Our order took 2hrs to serve. The chicken is raw.

Slow service. Said our takeout order will take 30 minutes, and we waited for nearly two hours until we get it.

Zam's Food and Fudge

Always loved their siomai and fried siopao!!! Though the place is not quite catchy but the food on their menus sure is! Especially their famous chocolate moist cake. The establishment have been preserving the quality taste of the food they serve that's why locals still digs in. 👌

A good place to Snack, where foods are yummy.

One of my fave restaurants in town! Fried chicken is so delicious! Such a nice place. I like the decorations and the staff they are accommodating. Would surely come back!
Paul J — Google review
I love the ambiance of the place. I swear you will too! There were lots of people when we visited the place for dinner. The owner collects bunches of mugs from different places or even different firms. Food was absolutely remarkable that's why I had to order an extra rice. HAHAHA! Don't judge me. I'm totally hungry though. 😋 Food Price - ₱115 with Ice Tea (it's already a combo meal)
Jamaica S — Google review
Great little restaurant in the centre of Bislig, I had the pancit and it was super delicious with some fried chicken which was crispy and tasty 😋
Nicolas C — Google review
The food is great...the place is homey. This is one of our fave restaurants.
Adelie F — Google review
The ambiance was fantastic, the food was exquisite, and the experience was wonderful.
Jake E — Google review
I had the pork stroganoff which was quite good. I happened to try the pork steak which was equally good. Friendly family atmosphere, good variety of desserts from halo halo to shakes and banana splits, etc! Lots of whiskeys and other spirits available too. I would definitely recommend this place if your looking for a good tasty meal in the town of Mangagoy.
Jim — Google review
One of the first restaurants with fastfood offering. The first to offer stroganoff too in the City wayback 2016 or so. It is now renamed as FIAB 2

If you're on the lookout for a delightful culinary experience, ARMA FOODS CATERING is definitely worth considering. My Dungs

Permanently Closed
Restaurant
If you find yourself in Mangagoy and are on the hunt for a late-night dining experience, look no further than My Dungs. This gem is perfect for those who have faced the disappointment of early closures elsewhere, as it stays open later than many spots in town. The menu boasts generous portions that can easily satisfy multiple diners without breaking the bank, making it an excellent choice for both casual meals and special occasions with VIP visitors.
Food was fresh and Delicious a must food stop over in Mangagoy
Sharon A — Google review
Affordable and good food!
Paul J — Google review
Well we went for dinner late in the town. Seems everywhere closes up early. The hours say 10 here on site. Might actually be 9 now. We showed up at 9 after a lot of other choices we went to were already closed. Having had seen prices posted elsewhere we were hesitant to come. Since being burned by another restaurant earlier in the day. Let me say you get huge portions. So price is more than fair. Staff were friendly even though they stayed open late for us. I left a tip. They thought I had forgotten my money and went to stop me and my wife. I had to tell them it was for them. Big smiles.
James B — Google review
Delicious food!

Jollibee Bislig

$$$$cheap
Fast food restaurant
Popular Philippines-based chain globally known for its famed fried chicken, spaghetti & burgers.
Best Jollibee I've ever been too! The whole building was clean and welcoming, security opened the door and welcomed us followed by all the staff being so nice and friendly I thought they were all on crack! Amazing!
Adam S — Google review
Jollibee is supposed to be a FAST FOOD chain, but here in Bislig feels like a $ restaurant not because of the price but because of the time it took them to prepare the food(fyi we didn't ordered a bunch see pic), it took them almost 40 minutes to prepare it and worst is that the food I ordered which is palabok, is cold and we thought that it's because of the palabok that took them so long.I couldn't complaint because I was hungry even though it really taste bad.Would not recommend this for people who want quick food up to your table.
Atasha — Google review
It’s disappointing that they don’t have the jolly staples served daily like cheesy and aloha burgers. Also a shame unable to cater card/epayments in this day and age.
Darwin D — Google review
This issue has caused significant inconvenience and could lead to further damage or hygiene problems if not addressed promptly. I kindly request that maintenance be scheduled as soon as possible to resolve the issue. NO Bidet 1:20 pm wth my family😌😌😌😌😌
Surigaonon V — Google review
This place has a LOT of traffic. Still the workers keep it clean the food is good for fastfood and literally saves lives when the power goes out. (Nice AC) All in all I hate fast food places but I found no negatives here..that's hard to do.
Albert L — Google review
Jollibee in Mangagoy beside the bus terminal. This was good as they have indoor and al fresco dining area. The store also is quite big. The service is great too
Jefferson R — Google review
This is the first Jollibee in Bislig City which also caters to nearby municipalities like Barobo and Lingig. There is something unique about this 'jobee' store. It is using a blue green color for it's marketing materials unlike other stores!(see last two images). The location is very accessible as it is along the highway and beside Gaisano Capital. The place is clean, well-lit and has the 'jobee' ambiance like all Jollibee stores around the Philippines thus I'm rating it with four and a half 🌟s! 😉
Arnel F — Google review
Didn't expect a Jollibee in this neck of the woods so 5 ⭐️ or better yet, 5 🍗!

Transportation in Surigao del Sur Province

Surigao Airport

Domestic airport
Airport
Clean, but if your plane is not arriving yet, you'll have to stay in the lobby outside.
SkyMaiden — Google review
Easy, fast transactions. It’s a small airport, and there’s no hassle to that. Expect cramped spaces. Tricycles just by the parking area charge higher. About a 50-meter walk away, you can ride other regular vehicles.
Eizen B — Google review
It is a small airport but also very convenient I may say. Since there are only few flights in a day, the airport is not really that busy. You can hire a tricycle from the airport to the city center conveniently.
Malachi L — Google review
Small airport, you come in, wait for your luggage and out the door about 10m.
Roy E — Google review
Quiet and cute.
Oscar Z — Google review
Arrived here from Cebu City. We arrived 10 mins earlier.
Norway J — Google review
They do not let in passengers until it's only 2 hrs before the flight. The waiting area is the covered area outside the airport but still hot and uncomfortable. Not sure why the terminal is not used for the comfort of the passengers. There is even a terminal fee charged per passenger.
Whi L — Google review
During my first time landing here, I can't explain the feeling really but it was fun.

Butuan-Bancasi Airport

Domestic airport
Airport
Butuan-Bancasi Airport serves as the main gateway to Butuan City and the CARAGA region, offering a decent domestic travel experience. The airport has undergone recent renovations, resulting in an improved seating area and a clean environment with efficient security measures. While it may not have a wide variety of dining or shopping options, it provides essential amenities for travelers.
I flew to Butuan-Bancasi Airport, and it’s a small airport, but the staff and security were super friendly and helpful. They made my trip as passenger with my partner a breeze! The restrooms were spotless clean and fresh when we arrived. We were even greeted with local costumes dancing while we waited for our luggage. It was an amazing experience! The airport is great, but it could definitely room for improvements. The air conditioning could be implemented in the luggage waiting area and more organized cab service. With a few minor upgrades, it could become a truly enjoyable place
Joshua D — Google review
This airport is adequate for its size. Pre check in it only has a few seating and few counters, but it gets the job done. Then security is seamless. One downside to this airport is that it does not really have food chains (restaurants), Duty free or any other store than the standard airport store that sells basic things. Due to the recent renovation, there are more seating area in this airport, it maintains the temperature well, it is clean. Mainly the bathrooms are cleanand the seats are also clean. Standard for a Philippine airport. Thankfully more flights can be accommodated by the airport. I wish more Destinations will be launched in this airport, rather that having connecting flights via large airports.
Psalm M — Google review
Butuan-Bancasi Airport has friendly and helpful staff, clean toilets, and spacious waiting areas. The airport has recently been renovated, resulting in improved seating areas and efficient security measures. The airport's toilets and waiting areas are generally clean and well-maintained. The airport has a spacious waiting area, making it comfortable for passengers to wait for their flights. The airport has free Wi-Fi, and dining options are limited to a few stalls and shops. A coffee shop inside (which is quite expensive at P200++ per cup) and a pasalubong area (a cheaper option for food and coffee). Overall, Butuan-Bancasi Airport provides a decent domestic travel experience, but there is room for improvement. With a few upgrades and additions, the airport could become a more comfortable and enjoyable for travelers.
Harby N — Google review
We flew here to go to Agusan Marsh as it is the closest airport. Going to Agusan Marsh, there are vans outside that can bring you to San Francisco (SanFranz) bus terminal where you can get a bus ride going to Bunawan bus terminal to reach Agusan marsh. The vans may charge premium for convenience and access, so if you want to save, just get a Grab or trike to bring you to the bus terminal. The Grab ride to the bus terminal will be about 15 minutes, and P200+. We went first to Tinuy-an Surigao del Sur, so we rode a van from here to bring us there. However, because there are no other passengers, we ended up paying P2K for our ride, which was okay for our convenient ride. The airport has small check-in counters, but the waiting area is spacious. It is still a relatively small airport, but it has been updated since we first arrived here 6 years ago. There's also several policemen who you can approach for help, and their contact numbers for assistance are posted. What I like about this airport is that you can book a Grab ride which makes it convenient. The sunrise here looks marvelous.
Ia L — Google review
The Butuan Airport is nice. However free WiFi needs some work. It doesn't work.
JP ( — Google review
This happened today on my flight back to Manila. At the final screening entrance, the security staff did not accept my laminated national ID and asked me to go to another window for verification. I found this inconvenient and unnecessary since the purpose of printing and laminating the ID is to make verification quicker and more efficient. When I asked why it was accepted at NAIA Terminal 3 but not here, the staff simply replied, “This is Butuan Airport, not Manila.” Such inconsistency creates confusion and delays for passengers. If NAIA, an international airport, accepts laminated national IDs, it would be more practical and passenger-friendly if Butuan Airport could also recognize them. Fortunately, I had a company ID with me. I hope the management can review this policy to ensure smoother and more consistent service for travelers.
Ainen L — Google review
Just a basic airport. Nothing much to buy inside. A bit disorganized. It was my first time to travel via this airport and I was a bit disappointed. Arrival hall was ok but the departure hall was chaos. Singit-singit system is in place and there weren’t enough counters. Once you get inside there’s a place offering massage and a store selling snacks. Choices are very limited though. They don’t even sell juice or soda. Lots of on-going or pending repair works inside the pre-departure area so everything seems like a mess.
IVAN H — Google review
For a domestic airport, it's pre-departure is larger than before. There is only one convenience store in the pre-departure area. So if you want to eat while waiting for your flight, there is a row of food stalls with a common dining area outside.
