The Village Idiot Bar and Grill

$$$$affordable
Bar & grill
The Village Idiot Bar and Grill is a popular ski-themed hangout in Revelstoke, offering a variety of bar food such as pizzas and burgers. It's known for its outdoor seating and selection of local brews. Despite its name, it's actually a family-friendly restaurant where many families with young kids can be seen dining. The place is quite popular among locals and visitors alike, especially for their locally famous pizza.
Absolutely loved my experience here! The food quality is great, and the vibe is really fun and lively. The entire place is beautifully ski-themed, which added a unique and cool touch to the atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Pizza is great! Open later and busy! Pizzas on every table it seemed! looked amazing so we ordered the meat with onions and mushrooms. Everyone enjoyed The mussels were fantastic best white garlic sauce I’ve had! Sorry people dug in before photo! Busy places have good food! Eat here, when you’re in the area! Great atmosphere and happy friendly staff. I’ll be back!

Very interesting place. There is so much going on. There is so much to look at while you wait that you forget how much time has passed— although wait for food wasn’t that long even on a busy Saturday night. The place was packed! We waited 10 or so minutes for a table. Menu is simple and fun. Something for everyone. Pizza that we got was interesting mix of ingredients it was called ‘The Goat’. Never tried such a pizza. Wasn’t even sure if I liked it or not but I ate the whole thing. The perogies I would not recommend. Very flavorless.

This place was great. Food was great and timely all around. Pizza crust was amazing, and the kitchen sink burger was epic. Chicken strips were great. Nachos piled high. Would eat here again.

They were busy but the service was still quick and tasty. Nice patio and cool decor. Had the brilliant burger, looked dry at first look but it wasn’t at all! So good!

Nice local pub/restaurant. Great service from the team, quick and friendly. My son had a burger and complimented it a lot so thats saying something. I had the sweet and sour soup and it also was very good. I definitely would order it again. The place was busy but not too loud we were able to hold a clear conversation. Recommended.

Absolutely a must in Revy! The food, service and vibes are fabulous The food is fresh, the drinks are wonderful and if you get the chance to be served by Molly on the bar, you're very lucky! She's amazing! A definite stop everytime we are in town

Restaurant
Truffle Pigs Bistro & Lodge is a charming property located in the heart of the tiny town of Field, offering warmly decorated rooms and suites. The lodge features modern accommodations with amenities such as televisions and Wi-Fi, including hiker suites with separate entrances and kitchenettes for longer adventures. The attached rustic bistro serves delightful regional cuisine, highly recommended by nearby staff for its exceptional service, reasonable prices, and delectable food.
We dined here in September and it was divine. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Amazing food (try the purple burger!), friendly attentive service and atmosphere that can’t be beat. I was with someone from NE USA who absolutely loved the experience. She noted something unique that I wanted to mention; when we were greeted by the server, she told us a few things as well as where the bathrooms were located. My friend said how nice that was and we both realized that it hadn’t happened in any other restaurant we’d been to (we’ve been to many in the 50years + that we’ve known each other). Wonderful experience and well worth the drive from Calgary just to eat there.

If you have time to visit this great Inn at Field, on your way exploring the National Parks of the Canadian Rockies. After an amazing trek at Takanaka Falls we were extremely hungry. The menu has an assortment of dishes all unique in their ingredients. Our waiter Malik was exceptional. He promptly attended out table and recommended drinks and food. Then, we had the Goiza for entrees and for mains BBQ Bison and pan crusted salmon with risotto. For desert the Berry pie 🥧 with icecream was so tasty. Highly recommend a meal here.
Andriana P — Google review
We had a great experience yesterday at the Truffled Pig Bistro. The prices were higher than expected but the food rose to the occasion. We enjoyed the arancini, the chicken and the salmon dishes. The arancini was small (3 pieces) but perfectly executed and well balanced. Our mains were both tasty and generously sized. The risotto with the salmon was a standout. We sat at a corner table and enjoyed a nice view of the trains passing by which was a nice touch. Our server was well informed, friendly, and attentive. The vibe of the restaurant is a bit quirky with metal flying pigs hanging from the roof. I think it matches the cute nature of the town of Field.

This was our first time visiting Yoho and Banff area, we will definitely be back! The lodging and restaurant at Truffle Pig are perfect! We stayed there 3 nights, lodging is very clean and has everything you need. I loved that there was a mini fridge, 2 burner stove top, microwave and sink. Next time I will be sure to bring some items to make breakfast, in the event that you do not either - the restaurant opens at 8:00 for coffee and breakfast items, like I said they ensure you are fully equip for your stay. The restaurant is fabulous, they have a variety of options that are fresh and well made. If you get dessert - please get the pie of the night! The staff are extremely kind and hospitable. Additionally the location was perfect for us. We were 20 minutes away from hikes like yoho valley, Wapta falls, Takakkaw falls, lake Louise and more! While we already miss the area, we are looking forward to the next time we are able to visit! We will most certainly be choosing Truffle Pig again for lodging and restaurant choices - thank you for a beautiful stay!

A diamond amongst diamonds! Another place hubby found on Pinterest while planning our holiday, recommended by others. This is an extremely small town fresh from a movie setting “Field” is wonderful and the restaurant is the icing on the cake. Staff were amazing and accommodated our seating three times so we could get it right! Alicia was our waitress and she was amazing recommending food and telling us about the local surroundings. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was fab! You cannot book and turn up and wait but they accommodate very quickly! Absolutely worth it 🥰

Beautiful little restaurant we discovered on our drive to revelstoke. The food they offered had a good variety. The atmosphere is lovely and enjoyed the feel of the restaurant. On top of this, service was fantastic and everyone who worked there was super helpful! I recommend stopping by this little establishment, also beautiful views of the mountains. :)

The best food and the best service!! We have been travelling around Canada and both determined Truffle pigs bistro to be the best restaurant of our trip. Malik was an incredible host and gave us recommendations for our meals, which we followed and were not disappointed. Incredible food at a great price. A must visit!

Stopped here for dinner with my wife after an afternoon at Emerald Lake. The location is stunning and the building itself is beautiful inside. There was a slight wait but that wasn't a problem because it allowed us time to take in the scenery. I had the Carbonara and it was hands down the best I've had. My wife had the burger and enjoyed it as well. We are very happy we found this restaurant on our vacation.

Island Restaurant

$$$$affordable
Canadian restaurant
The Island Restaurant, situated in Golden, Canada, is a charming log cabin with two levels and an assortment of delectable dishes such as pizza, pasta, steak, and burgers. What sets this place apart is its picturesque water-view patios that overlook the Rocky Mountains and the Kicking Horse River. With two outdoor terraces available for dining, guests can enjoy their meals while witnessing thrilling activities like skydiving in the west or hand gliding in the east.
We drove into Golden from Blaeberry on a rainy afternoon for lunch. We had seen this restaurant from the highway and the building looked so beautiful we decided to go in. The log cabin feel of both the inside and outside is welcoming and very homey. We both had a breakfast omelette. The home fries were made in house and formed into a patty. Absolutely delicious. The omelette was well seasoned but the star of the show was the homemade bread with homemade apple cinnamon jam. The jam can be purchased in jars as you leave. An exceptional restaurant with amazing food. A great find in a small town like Golden.

I like this restaurant. I was there when it wasn't busy. The food came quickly and was fantastic. They have a large selection but I always order the same food because the combination is very tasty. The service is always pleasant and interested in my satisfaction. They have a good location and I will come again.
Denisa A — Google review
This is a nice spot in Golden. However, my only complaint is that the prices of the burgers are somewhat high considering their size; they could be a bit more generous with the portions. Additionally, the atmosphere was quite quiet, and it would be nice to have some good music playing in the background.
Jack N — Google review
We had THE BEST experience at the Island! This is our second time experiencing this restaurant and we came back with 3 children after 5 years. Kat was our server, she was knowledgeable about the menu both food and drinks and let us know that a dish took a little longer to be cooked to perfection as we had young children. Each meal was perfect, her wine recommendation was delicious and our 6 year old has championed the Borscht the very best soup he has ever had in his life. This gem is worth the stop, slow down to experience all the island has to offer !

We visited for lunch a few weeks ago and had the most brilliant server. Apologies I didn’t catch his name but do remember he said he was born in Hungary and missed European cheese! We all remarked on how personable and friendly he was, and always quick with recommendations - both local and on the menu! Food and drinks were delicious (lamb burger special was superb!) but it was the staff that made it so memorable.
Philippa N — Google review
The ambiance was very lovely and tge service was friendly, however, food was disappointed. My husband and I visited during the low season ( end of October). We ordered a hamburger and a salad because we weren't many options. The meat in both dishes tasted as if it had been frozen. Considering the dinner cost over 100 dollars, the quality did not unjustified. Overrall, nice restaurant overall for a glass of wine or a couple of beers.

Golden choice in Golden. Had no expectations when we stepped in hungry. Hostess and server Sly took great care of us. Gave us the best table in the Patio. Food Choice amazing. Salad was great. Jerk chicken Sandwich was awesome. Pizza was great. Benni tasty. Island burger juicy.

Visited the Golden area and found the Island Restaurant. Food was delicious but the service was exceptional. Shout out to Sylvester! He was a delight to talk to and gave us some great information about what to see and do near Golden. The launch pad was wonderful and just as he said by keeping our eyes open for bears proved prophetic. Saw a momma bear and her two cubs. Thanks for good food, great service and awesome info!

Mexican restaurant
Cantina Del Centro in Nelson is a vibrant restaurant that offers a variety of Mexican and Latin American dishes, complemented by an extensive selection of over 70 tequilas. The lively atmosphere, detailed hanging lights, and eclectic paintings create a fun vibe that keeps patrons happy and satisfied. The menu features scrumptious in-season tacos, tortas, and cocktails, including options like moist braised lamb and panko crusted avocado vegetarian tacos.
The food was delicious, probably the best burrito bowl I've ever had, it was super fresh! Staff was nice but a little inattentive with ordering and refills so it made the minimum tip option on the machine 18% seem a little too high. Generally a good experience and would recommend others to try

Went in for brunch. Was really happy with the flavours and presentation. I had the bacon and avo eggs Benny, which was delicious. Was also really happy that I could try their tacos at brunch. I had the Argentine and Al Pastor and both were amazing, but the Al Pastor really stood out. Will definitely be back when I'm in Nelson again!

🌮 Had the best Mexican food ever — in Nelson, of all places! Seriously!! 🤯🇲🇽 Started with crispy in-house tortilla chips + three dips: 🥑 Guacamole 🍅 Pico de Gallo 🥣 Frijole dip You could taste the difference. 🔥 Main course: chicken enchiladas with both salsa verde & salsa roja, served with refried beans and Mexican rice 🌯🍚. Unbelievably tasty. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ole!! 💃✨ #NelsonEats #MexicanMagic #FoodieParadise #FiveStarFlavour

Absolutely amazing tacos and maybe the best breakfast burrito we’ve ever had. The shrimp tacos were amazing too.

Good Mexican restaurant also popular with the local population and for take out as wel. Friendly staff, secluded tables and nice atmosphere. Good menu, we tried the mi burger es su burger and the chicken tinga quesadilla which both were delicious. Would fully recommend eating at this restaurant.

Left two messages early in the day for a reservation but they never got back to us. We decided to go regardless and the restaurant wasn’t that busy, so we got a table right away. A return call would be have been appreciated. Five of us enjoyed dinner, sitting in a comfy booth in the back of the restaurant. The both design made it a bit hard to have a conversation with the two sitting at the ends, but it was good option for the five of us. I ordered 3 tacos, chicken, shrimp and fish. Was delicious. Portions are relatively small, so had room for the queso cheese to share, which was also delicious.

Excellent! Reviews are in line with our experience. We enjoyed the early bird 3-course dinner with a dessert upgrade. Everything both looked and tasted delicious. It feels cozy and warm inside. The waitresses were hospitable and merry. We will definitely return in the future!

Dinner here was amazing! We sat on the patio as we had a dog & it was such a lovely experience. The fondue as the appetizer was so creamy and rich & perfect for sharing. The cannelloni was packed with flavour and baked just right, and the daily pasta was fresh and delicious. Cozy vibe, great service, and seriously tasty food. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re in town!

We stumbled upon this gem in Golden and were so impressed! The Dragon Boat platter with scallops, prawns, mussels, and smoky paprika cream sauce was incredible — especially with the pretzel bread to soak it up. The pasta was also hot, fresh, and delicious. Everything was beautifully presented and made with care. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must-visit in Golden!

Had a lovely time at this establishment! Food was very delicious and atmosphere was great. Service was top notch, was greeted immediately and they were attentive throughout our stay. The Wolf’s Den

Restaurant
Pub
The Wolf’s Den is an informal and rustic bar located near the Kicking Horse River, offering breathtaking mountain views. Specializing in AAA-certified Angus steaks, a variety of burgers, and vegetarian options, this spot has something for everyone. The menu boasts a wide selection of delicious burgers and other dishes like loaded fries. Visitors rave about the cozy atmosphere and friendly service, making it a must-visit when in Golden or passing through.
We stopped by this restaurant on our way back from Ontario to BC, after finding it on the map and through a friend’s recommendation. Honestly, it turned out to be one of the best food experiences I’ve had on the entire trip. The highlight, without a doubt, was the bison ribs. They were outstanding incredibly tender, flavorful, and not greasy at all. The way they were cooked showed real skill, and the BBQ sauce was just perfect: rich, smoky, and slightly sweet, complementing the meat in the best way possible. I can easily say these were the best bison ribs I’ve ever had. The dish came with very well-prepared vegetables on the side, cooked just right, and a delicious mashed potato that balanced the richness of the ribs beautifully. Along with that, I tried their Caesar salad, which was simple but fresh, crisp, and quite enjoyable. I also gave the bison burger a try. While I’ve had better burgers elsewhere, this one was still tasty, well-cooked, and satisfying. It wasn’t the highlight compared to the ribs, but it was definitely worth trying. Some of my friends ordered the wings, and they really liked them, describing the flavor as unique and different from the usual wings they’d tried before. The atmosphere of the restaurant was another big plus. Both the patio and the interior were warm, welcoming, and nicely designed, creating a friendly and cozy environment to enjoy a meal. Service was excellent – the staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and willing to customize my order without any issue. Everything came to the table on time, fresh and hot, which is always a sign of a well-run kitchen. Parking was also convenient and easy, which made the visit even more stress-free. Overall, the combination of amazing food (especially the bison ribs), a friendly atmosphere, and professional service makes this restaurant stand out. If you are ever in this town, I strongly recommend visiting. I would even go as far as to say this might be one of the best restaurants in the area. I’ll definitely be coming back here whenever I get the chance. Huge thanks to the team for such a memorable dining experience!

During our camping trip with friends in Golden, BC, we discovered a lovely dining spot. The place offers plenty of seating both inside and outside, making it very inviting. We decided to try the bison ribs and a mixed burger with fried items and a selection of veggies. The bison ribs were cooked well, although we found that the special BBQ sauce was quite strong and overshadowed the flavors of the meat, and the ribs were a bit on the colder side. The mixed burger was decent and met our expectations. Overall, we were pleased with the service; the waitstaff were polite and attentive. Dining outside was a wonderful experience, especially with the beautiful mountain views in the distance.
Rashid A — Google review
The Wolf’s Den is a fun, casual spot that makes for a great dinner. You know a place is worth visiting when the locals flock to it, and that was definitely the case here. It came highly recommended by the front desk staff at the Prestige Hotel in Jordan, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was lively, filled with people clearly enjoying themselves. Our server was warm and attentive, offering excellent recommendations for local beers that paired perfectly with our meal. At our table, we tried the specials, including the bison and ribeye—both cooked beautifully and full of flavor. Overall, The Wolf’s Den delivered on every level: food, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Noel A — Google review
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I must say it turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in Canada so far. I have tried many different steakhouses and grills across the country, but this visit truly stood out for several reasons. The highlight of the evening was without a doubt the bison rib steak. It was one of the best rib steaks I have ever had. The meat was cooked perfectly to my liking juicy, tender, and full of flavor yet at the same time it was surprisingly lean, with very little fat compared to other steaks I have tried before. That balance made it not only delicious but also unique and special in its own way. It’s not every day you get to enjoy bison meat prepared at such a high standard, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to try something beyond the usual beef steak. The accompaniments were equally impressive. The vegetables were cooked just right not overdone, not undercooked and they had a freshness that made them a perfect complement to the richness of the steak. The mashed potatoes were excellent as well: creamy, flavorful, and served in a portion size that felt generous without being overwhelming. Everything on the plate worked together beautifully, and I felt that real care went into the preparation of the dish. This attention to detail is something that sets the restaurant apart from many others. Out of curiosity, I also tried the burger. While it was good and definitely delivered what you would expect from a solid burger, it did not quite reach the same level as the rib steak. The burger was satisfying and enjoyable, but the bison rib simply overshadowed it with its uniqueness and quality. I would still recommend the burger for anyone who is more in the mood for something casual, but if you want the dish that truly defines the restaurant, then the rib steak is the one to go for. As for starters and sides, the Caesar salad was quite decent as well. It came with a good balance of dressing, fresh lettuce, and toppings that made it a reliable and refreshing choice. It might not have been the most extraordinary Caesar salad I have ever had, but it was well prepared and did its job nicely as part of the overall meal. Beyond the food itself, the atmosphere was another highlight of my visit. The restaurant has a warm and welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer. I especially enjoyed the patio seating it was comfortable, lively, and added an extra charm to the experience. During my visit, I noticed that there were travelers from both Ontario and British Columbia enjoying their meals there, which says something about the reputation this place is building across provinces. The atmosphere felt almost like a meeting spot for people from different parts of Canada to come together over good food. Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was attentive without being intrusive, the food arrived on time, and everything felt very well managed. It’s always refreshing when you see a team that truly takes pride in their work and values the dining experience of their guests. Overall, I would rate this restaurant very highly. From the exceptional bison rib steak to the welcoming service and pleasant atmosphere, it all came together for an outstanding meal. I left with the feeling that this is a place worth coming back to, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a special dining experience.

This place is AMAZING!! We had to get up really early the next morning to make the sunrise trip to Lake Moraine, but if we didn’t, we would’ve stayed here all night!! I really wish we would’ve found this place before our last night because we would’ve come here over and over again!! I got the Buffalo chicken poutine and OH MY GOSH it was AMAZING!! Honestly the best poutine I’ve ever had. I would’ve never thought to put those two things together but holy crap it worked. They had live music, the tables were made of really cool wood features, looked like tree trunks. They had string lights up everywhere, the drinks were flowing, the servers were so nice, the atmosphere was like a hometown bar that made you feel right at home! The food was amazing and we will definitely come back to Golden just for this restaurant!!

Overall, pretty cool spot and I imagine it’s quite lively in the evening. The food is pretty tasty, had the Italian Stallion and Elk burger. Both were very flavourful. The drinks were good as well and the service was as expected. The decor in the restaurant is super fun and there’s many things to look at. We enjoyed the novelty of it. Views outside are a nice touch too. I believe it actually opens at 4pm, not 5pm. Glad we went and are excited to try other spots in Golden, BC.

Hockey themed with rustic elements. Interesting decor and they make it work. 63 of us ate the burger buffet on the second floor. Very organized service and sufficient food served. Burgers were top notch with real bacon and sizeable patties. Fresh cut tomatoes, mushrooms and onions. Nice Caesar salad or house salad with selection of dressings. Chicken breasts were also good size to fill the buns. Fries and onion rings were crispy and hot. The owner was in full control of his business and kept the buffet well stocked throughout our visit. Highly recommend eating here if you are any group size from one to 70.
Rick W — Google review
The Wolf's Den is a four-star spot for a reason. Arriving at 8 p.m., we found the place full and took a seat at the bar, which had a great, lively vibe. I started with the raspberry sour draft, which was everything its name implies—tart and delicious. My wife wasn't into it, but I absolutely loved it. For dinner, we split the Maple Bacon Dry Ribs and Bison Ribs. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender. I was a bit worried at first because the first bison rib had a super peppery flavor that was almost too much, but the amazing smell and taste were a winning combination, and the next two ribs were fantastic. The dry ribs were seasoned perfectly, still moist, and the dipping sauce was divine. The onion rings were tasty but were unfortunately a bit lukewarm. The meal was on the expensive side, but given the quality, it felt like a fair price for a great night out.

Great lunch! Extra fun staff & clean tables. Food was very good & fast! We had fried pickles - not worth the $13 but the rest of lunch was great: chicken cesar wrap & a tossed bean, rice salad. We would come again!

Great spot for some decent pub style food. We came on Sunday so there was live music which was great. We sat by the pool table so the music wasn’t too loud. We had the single serving of nachos with spicy beef and the turkey wrap w/ beef cabbage soup. Both were great. The spicy beef on the nachos wasn’t that spicy at all. They have a good selection of beer and daily drink specials. Service was awesome! Bonus was they had sports playing: Canucks and Oilers!

Very nice pub and restaurant z either you come with friends or family this will not disappoint you. They have great food selection and great drinks. I tried their Caesar, really good. Their spinach Popeye burger is best burger I had in Alberta and their sweet and salty fries are also very yummy and different with honey flavour.

Nice restaurant but with not too many options for entrees. They have plenty of burgers and sandwiches options. We had one jalapeño Mac and cheese, jambalaya and one lunch menu (BBQ meat). Food was delicious. Price is on the higher side. Overall a good experience.

I was suggested to trythe beef burger. It was mushy and tasteless. My dish came with a small face hair I assume. The fries are so greasy. I ate four fries and a quarter of the burger. Yeah so pissed. I would have ordered the perogies instead but she swore the burger with as he best ever. Total upsell 23$ over 13$ menu items.

The Old Salzburg Restaurant

$$$$affordable
Austrian restaurant
The Old Salzburg Restaurant is a cozy spot that offers traditional Austrian dishes like schnitzel and spaetzle in a charming lodge setting with a lovely patio. It's one of the top dining destinations in Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia, along with other favorites like Horsethief Creek Pub & Eatery and Helnas Stube.
The dining environment was warm and cozy, and the prices were very reasonable. As for the food, the lamb, cooked to medium-rare, was just right and not as gamey as expected. The pork cutlet wrapped in dough was decent, and the rice was acceptable. Unfortunately, the fries were a bit too salty, and the steak, though cooked medium, was still rather tough. On a side note, the other customers that day were very friendly toward children, and the restaurant provided crayons and drawing paper for kids. Overall, our family had a great experience.

Really good! We had schnitzel, spatzle, and apple strudel, and everything was delicious. Loved the red cabbage side dish as well. The place was very busy, but our food came quickly. Our server was friendly. I'll definitely come again.

Great spot for some schnitzel! We started with the escargot. It was pretty good; (not a fan of all the diced onions and celery though). For dinner we had the rahm (but ask for the pork to be breaded), and the wiener art (with added mushroom sauce). The Rahm (breaded) was my absolute favourite! That mushroom sauce is soooo good and the pork cooked perfectly! Our server Allicia was awesome! Highly recommend this place!

Overall experience 3.5/5. Though delicious, the food lacked quantity. I believe with the new management, the quantity has been cut back - less sauce on the schnitzel, 1 shrimp in the Oscar. Like come on. Need to hire more people. Our sever was serving more tables than he could handle. We asked for extra sauce which he forgot. He also admitted that he didn’t remember. One of our plates didn’t have purple cabbage. Asked for that. Server forgot. So not very enjoyable. Management needs to hire and train staff better to provide quality service and hospitality.

We explained to our server Oliver, we had just completed a long journey and would need time for dinner. He was more than accommodating and took his time with us. The beer was excellent, real Austrian lager. The food was much better than expected. Having dined in Bavaria and Austria I must say this restaurant could compete with any of them. The schnitzel was lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. The spaetzle was authentic, not chewy or tough. Overall an excellent experience. Thanks Oliver for a great evening.

We enjoyed their cheaper but still good portion lunch menu. The food and the desserts are both excellent. We had a great time here and very recommended to visitors to Radium Hot Spring.

Enjoyable dinner with the family on the last night of our vacation. The food was hot and fresh and true to what I expect from an Austrian based restaurant. The service was slow, but everyone was very friendly which is meaningful.

Great flavour but schnitzel wasn’t very big or thick! Had a soup just to fill me up and ordered pizza later. Portions was small but good flavours and cook perfectly. I don’t think I’d stop again because of value. Place in kaslo was double portion and just as good if not better.

Whitetooth Bistro

Bistro
Nestled in the heart of Golden BC with stunning views of the Kootenay Mountains and Dogtooth Range, Whitetooth Bistro has been a local favorite since 2007. This casual yet upscale spot offers classic bistro fare such as steamed mussels and steak frites, complemented by an ever-changing cocktail lineup and an impressive selection of wines from the Pacific Northwest.
Another restaurant in the small town of Golden BC that deserves recognition! Really unique decor inside; a mixture of cottage life and log cabin/boathouse. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the macaroni and cheese was the best we've tasted at a restaurant. Thanks for a lovely dinner.

Passing through Golden today we opted to try Whitetooth Bistro. When we arrived it was empty, compared to other nearby restaurants that was perhaps a telling one. The service was slow throughout our sitting, the staff unfortunately seemed more engaged in their own discussions. We learned about one staff members who's Mom's biker boyfriend (referred to as a gorilla) had a "rash", how one staff had applied at a different job, how the other restaurants seemed so busy... all the while we had to wait for drinks and food. I even watched one staffer grab and shift about drinking glasses by inserting his unwashed hand into the glass and along the rims. The food was tasty, but my steak sandwich was not even warm. It was cold. very disheartening. My advice? Go to the busier places - Whitetooth is pricier and with poor service and cold food in my mind it's not worth it...

This place wasn’t too spectacular. Service was friendly, they were attentive and gave us what we needed when we needed it. However, their food was okay, definitely not worth the price paid. We ordered the burrata crostini for an appetizer, bistro burger, lobster Mac n cheese, side of fried tofu, and also an Italian open faced sandwich for our mains. The burger was definitely a safe bet. I don’t feel like the flavors were all that there for the crostini, they added a peach slice and it wasn’t fresh, tasted canned. Didn’t really mix well with the burrata. I would suggest maybe some cherry tomatoes if we want to add something to it . The lobster Mac was okay, again - not made with the freshest ingredients. And the open faced sandwich could have been a little better. It had way too much sun dried tomato spread. A light glaze with some olive oil would have probably been better. Presentation was there.

Bison Reuben: 5 Crunchy bread with well seasoned bison pastrami. Generous portion. Shrimp crab dip: 5 Creamy and rich flavor of seafood. You can taste the chunky shrimp and crab meat in the dip. Duck skewers: 4 Very interesting seasoning with pineapple salsa, duck meat is juicy and a little hard. Lobster Benny: 3 It's not acceptable to have a hard-boiled poached egg on a Benny. The lobster topping tastes good, but the English muffin tastes like rubber and hard to chew.

Had a very nice experience during our visit. The staff was super friendly and welcoming! Tried the chicken burger which we enjoyed. The chicken breast was a bit dry but the garlic aioli helped and it was pretty good. Don’t recall the name but the pineapple lager was delicious. Glad we found this spot.

Great place to stop in Golden with good GF / DF options. Excellent food and prices great atmosphere and clean washrooms. Got to say ots probably the first time ever heading into town and not eating someplace along the hiway.

Stopped in for my favourite breakfast of eggs Benny and a tropical fog. It seems to have got even better than when I last visited almost a year ago! Thanks to Jess and Danica for their excellent service :)

What a quaint place with delicious food! We stopped for lunch after the Golden Skybridge and loved the menu choices! The Bison Ruben and Crab Benedict did not disappoint. I’d stop for lunch again if I was in town!

Woolsey Creek Bistro is an upscale and cozy restaurant that offers a farm-to-table dining experience with locally sourced Canadian cuisine infused with global flavors. The menu features a well-curated selection of fresh, seasonal options, including excellent vegetarian dishes. The bistro's commitment to using quality ingredients is evident in their homemade Bison Ravioli and vegan-friendly Cauliflower Steak served with cashew sauce and organic quinoa.
Great service and really tasty food. Pricing is a bit high but overall a really great experience. The Caesar was not very good, put the rum mojitos were amazing. The pork belly you could cut with a fork, was delicious. The saffron muscles were also very good. The chicken and mushroom risotto was very good, and we added a piece of fish that was picked perfectly.

We had the best dinner in Revelstoke, out server Sarah was amazing! We had duck, bison, carpaccio and the charcuterie board and every single bite was remarkable. Left so happy and satisfied, we had such a hard time to find good food in town but they were the best. Will be back!

The evening was made most enjoyable because of Sara - our waitress was amazing. She went out of her way to make sure that everything was perfect. We had several appetizers for dinner. Each one was spectacular. The chef - Miguel out did himself. I gave the ingredient list for a cocktail that we wanted and she willing created it for us. We will definitely be going back to this gem of a restaurant.

After a long drive, we wanted to treat ourselves. This one stood out with their tempting menu. The appetizers called out to us. Mussels, scallops, pork bellly, fried polenta. All were flavorful with bread to sop up the flavors. Baked zucchini was tasty too. We left room for dessert, a perfect creme brulee. Service was nice, the decor is pretty and welcoming.

Great service and the food was wonderful. Bruschetta was perfect for sharing. Had braised beef, it was melt-in-your-mouth tender. Wine was Hester Creek Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon red which was a great match for the main. The Lemon meringue dessert was just the right size and served on a shortbread cookie. Will definitely return.

Food was average, but we waited for an hour before our dishes arrived :/ Took 30 min for the server to take our order and another 40 min to get our food. I understand the restaurant may be understaffed, but would’ve appreciated if they limited the seating to match the staff or gave a discount considering how long we waited. The food wasn’t bad - we got the burger, pasta, and crème brûlée for dessert Parking on site. Make sure to make reservations beforehand!

Fantastic Food and Friendly Atmosphere We visited the Woolsely for their (re)opening. The renovated and refreshed space is warm and inviting…like visiting an art collector’s cabin in the woods. The carrot and ginger soup was perfect on a wet, cool spring night. The beef tenderloin was prepared and seasoned perfectly. Looking forward to trying the scallop starter and duck next time (it received rave reviews from our table).

Beautiful ambience. The venison burger was really good though the polenta fries were a little over cooked. The bruschetta was very nice and well plated. The vegetarian bowl was ok. Would definitely try it again.
