F.L.X. Table

Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled in the picturesque Finger Lakes region, F.L.X. Table offers a truly unique dining experience that goes beyond just a meal. This intimate eatery features a communal table for twelve, where guests can enjoy an exquisite set menu crafted from seasonal local ingredients. The ambiance is warm and inviting, encouraging connections among diners as they share stories over four thoughtfully prepared courses paired with fine wines.
I took my husband here for his birthday. We are vegetarians and indicated that easily when making the reservation. We chose the FLX wine pairing with our meal. I can’t express how perfect our entire evening was!! The service was sublime- friendly but quiet and attentive. The sommelier was knowledgeable, well spoken and had such great taste. Each wine complimented our food perfectly. The food was the best we’ve had in a looong time or ever, really. The chef’s skills were amazing and our vegetarian substitutions were well crafted and thoughtful. The entire atmosphere was relaxed and warm but we felt like we were eating at an exclusive restaurant and being catered to. We give FLX table as many stars as possible and can’t wait to return!!

Really enjoyed our meal here. The food was incredible, the wine pairings were delicious and it was a nice, cozy/cute atmosphere. Sitting at a communal table was awesome - very much felt like a fancy dinner at a friend’s place where you are meeting new people. Well… If your friend can cook damn good food and serves awesome wine. Enjoyed it and would recommend to everyone who visits the finger lakes or for a special occasion.
Chandler H — Google review
Highly recommend! Such a wonderful intimate experience. Reservations are required and you pay in advance for 6 course menu. They seat 12-20 ish people per meal. They have an opportunity to put in any dietary needs. The food was unique and flavorful, presentation was fun. It was a great date night and worth the cost by far! The chef explains each dish and the wait staff was very friendly. They offer wine and beer pairings as well as drinks by the glass. Many people were there for celebration, which they acknowledged! Looking forward to going back.

We did the super secret winery private chefs table tonight and…I don’t have words. The atmosphere was so incredibly cool I will give you that. The presentation of all of the dishes was impeccable. But, omg, the food…abysmal. We started with crudités with a champagne pairing. This was good and no complaints. Next was a black cod with radish paired with a white wine. This was still good although the dish was a little salty. The second wine I finished approximately half of. The third fish course, oh boy. They gave us a brown Riesling which was paired with caviar fish and roe. I tried the Riesling with the caviar and gagged. I couldn’t deal with it. That Riesling is the worst wine I have ever tasted. I had them box the rest of this dish because my palette was ruined. The fourth pairing was a Chateauneuf-du-Pape and venison over a lentil salad and morel mushroom. It was so incredibly salty and the lentil salad tasted like grass clippings. Absolutely horrible. I left it. The dessert was a vanilla cake with pop rocks and a port. This was quite tasty but the port was so tart. Also they gave us a bottle of water but never refilled it. I was so parched and then the check ins during dinner were so long I would be glad to see a human who worked there and black out and forget to ask. All in all, cool experience but absolutely not worth the cost of the private experience. Zero stars if I could.
Margo G — Google review
First time here, and it's pretty good. I'm not sure why people were complaining about the vegetable plate, but we enjoyed it. The bread was baked fresh on the spot. My table did the tasting with the FLX wine pairing, and I got the beer one and overall pretty good selection of wines and very informative. Small plates, but you won't leave starving. If you're going to be in the area, make a reservation and give it a shot.
Dave R — Google review
We had a great experience at the Finger Lakes Table. It was unique, delicious, and fun. My only critique is that it was pretty fast paced and over quicker than expected. Given the group table setup I wish there was more time for conversation and eating. Fantastic wine selection and impressive sourcing of the food.
Nathan C — Google review
FLX Table was absolutely a highlight of our Finger Lakes trip. From the service, to the wine, to the food, and finally the overall vibes - everything was excellent. I really appreciated the intimate atmosphere, while also everyone still having their own table. I also appreciated the interactive wine experience and various alcohol options overall. The food was also incredibly local and fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant, and will be back next time we're in the area.
Jeremy Y — Google review
We were here last year,, both times we did the private room, prix fix and wine pairings, which...for context, is ~$600. I'll cut to the chase... - vege and bread board disappointed vs last year, limp lettuce, random cantaloupe, uncut tomatoes peppers etc - beef dish - amazing, best of the night - corn dish...its a corn cob cut in 3rds and served a mini piles of spices sauces...meh and tough to eat - lobster dish...the lobster was good but the polenta was cold and gelatinous, like the polenta in a tube in the grocery store - peach melba..the most unflavorful peach I've ever had in my life - wine pairings...we were poured separate glasses for the corn dish, I asked are we supposed to switch, somm is like, if you want to. He should've done 2 half pours - the sauternes poured was fouled, we said taste it, somm insisted its fine, opened 2 days ago...very long story short, in the end, they said they tasted it and it was fouled and they tossed it - somm is ridiculously arrogant and condescending...its as if he likes wine but hates customers. He speeds thru his speech then runs off, little to no eye contact. It's also odd you never see the actual bottle your wine is poured from Bottom line, nothing they offer, food, wine or service, is worthy of $600 a couple. It's the 'for tourists' pricey place that seems to hate tourists and treats then like they're stupid & can't wait for them to go. It's super unfortunate as we all work hard too and hope to enjoy our time off vs being treated poorly and with contempt and condescension

Restaurant
Hazelnut Kitchen is a charming restaurant in Trumansburg that offers seasonal dishes and desserts made from local ingredients. Despite its small-town setting, the eatery aims to blend regional flavors with a casually elegant atmosphere, creating unique dishes perfect for the Finger Lakes region. The cozy spot features checkered-tile flooring, mismatched silverware, and an open kitchen where Philly transplant chefs prepare rustic-elegant meals using locally grown produce, grass-fed beef, and cheeses from nearby dairies.
We had the most delicious and delightful dinner experience here last week. Our server, MATT was patient, helpful, and responsive. The wine choices are plentiful. The food choices are few, but everything is delicious! We each totally enjoyed what we ordered. The 6 of us definitely recommend this restaurant for wonderful dining.
Joan K — Google review
Let's begin with the food. It was well presented, locally sourced, fresh, and absolutely delicious! After our meal, we spoke with the owner/chef, expressing our compliments for his culinary skills. He was engaging and shared with us the history of the building and how it became Hazelnut Kitchen. In all, we had a great dining experience. I would recommend it.
Wayne M — Google review
I am sooo grateful that Hazelnut Kitchen was able to squeeze me in at their counter. Actually- it was the best seat in the house! I had the pleasure of interacting with the kitchen staff as they crafted some absolutely delicious meals. I had the beets, the schnitzel, and some absolutely stunning chocolate dessert (plus a slice of the grape pie which the one chef really wanted me to taste). Best meal I’ve had in a long time- well done.
Emily C — Google review
We had an amazing anniversary meal here! Everything is so fresh, farm to table quality. Highly recommend the heirloom tomatoes and crispy pork belly appetizers, swordfish, and chocolate tarte. We also had the chicken schnitzel and it was perfectly crispy and so delicious! Will definitely be back next time we visit the area!
Melissa B — Google review
When I vacation with my wife at our family cottage at Cayuga Lake, we always make sure we grab dinner at Hazelnut Kitchen. We had our post-engagement dinner here, and we just had our fourth anniversary dinner here too (with a few in between). The food is ALWAYS exceptional. This year’s pork was particularly outstanding. A true gem of upstate NY!
Michael M — Google review
This was excellent. We had dinner in early August and the food was very good: I had the complementary bread with chive butter, feta-stuffed squash blossom tempura (amazing!) and mezzaluna in a sweet corn-based sauce. Each was excellent and each was original. I'll definitely be back.
Mark O — Google review
Went rent a cottage on Cayuga each year and always put Hazelnut Kitchen on our ‘do not miss’ list. The food was D-LISH! Bread service was nice- a little dark & crispy but slathered in the chive butter, YUM! We shared the smoked trout spread topped with tart cherries & served with yummy GF seed crackers. Spot on! I had the chicken schnitzel topped with a delicious creamy cilantro sauce and my hubby had the rabbit wrapped in bacon served with polenta & escarole. Both… A-MAZ-ING!! Nice wine selection and they always offer delicious desserts. We were just too full this time! Be sure to make a reservation, as it’s small and intimate. A limited number of table. ENJOY!
Kerstin D — Google review
Just what we were looking for! Creative cooking and menu that highlights local farms in season! Interesting ingredients too. Sat at the bar on Weds night and was pleasantly surprised that was actually a seat next to the open kitchen. Very fun to see the chef and staff in action. Ended up chatting with the chef owner who was super cool. Highly recommend for a delicious and fresh meal. Nice portions too. Had a refreshing cocktail too.

Ports Cafe is a charming bistro located near Seneca Lake, offering a casual yet refined dining experience. Founded by locals, this eatery prides itself on serving a diverse menu featuring dishes such as ribeye steaks, tandoori chicken, and fresh-cut fish. The seasonal menu showcases house-made specialties like short rib ricotta gnocchi and flavorful desserts like chocolate fudge torte.
Amazing food at this steakhouse. Avoid ordering dessert here. We tasted every dessert on the menu. Service has room for improvement.

Reservation is a must. Service was so-so, server was friendly enough but nothing out of the ordinary - didn't really delve into details about the food or if we really enjoyed it. I could get better service from a family diner. Food was nothing special. Eat here if you really wanna know what the fuss is about (it's always packed) but I don't feel like I got my $250 worth for 4 people. I feel like it's really just for the status and not the culinary experience 🤷🏾‍♀️
Ceecee M — Google review
We had the specials of the day. The food was great. The lamb chops were delicious.
Carlos S — Google review
It has been about 20 yrs since the last time I ate and Ports and the food is still excellent! I recommend booking reservations a few weeks in advance because it is very popular. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty and cooked perfectly. We had a party of 5 and our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be going back the next time we are in Geneva.
Mike A — Google review
What a phenomenal time I had with my friend on 7/9. Our waitress was well seasoned, knowledgeable about all items, and made us feel like we were regulars even though it was our first time there. I have extremely high standards for food and have to say this was the best tasting meal I have ever had. The gnocchi 10/10. Make sure you have a reservation.
Krystal M — Google review
Was previously one of my favorite places. Tonight's experience was not up to expectations. Cocktails/wine were fine. Mussel appetizer was good. Oversold steak and scallop main course, so swapped shrimp in place of scallops with no reflection on the bill. Vegetables were over cooked/burned. Service was a bit frentic. newer waiter maybe. Waiter confided that the kitchen was somewhat frazzled... just a disappointing birthday dinner... skipped dessert.
Andrew R — Google review
I've been going here for many years, food was always fabulous. Went there for a special occasion last night, I ordered the Swordfish. It was a thick piece of fish. The outside was cooked, but the center (most of the piece) was completely raw. I sent it back to be cooked and when it came back it was black and literally smoking, Un - eatable. I assume that the chef was offended that I asked to have my fish cooked instead of raw? Very disappointed.... Not sure if they have a new ( not good) chef, changed ownership? Won't be back anytime soon!

Can get a little loud in the main dining room but the amazing food specials and great attentative service keep us coming back!!!

Moosewood

Vegetarian restaurant
Vegan restaurant
Moosewood is a well-known restaurant located in downtown Ithaca, housed in a beautifully renovated historic brick school building. For nearly fifty years, it has been serving up healthy and natural cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant operates as a collectively owned business and offers a farm-to-table menu that emphasizes the use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients such as vegetables, fruits, herbs, whole grains, nuts, legumes, olive oils, and cheeses.
This is the "highbrow" vegetarian spot near Cornell. The food quality is generally quite good, but it can fluctuate with the seasonal menu changes. Sneaking in a salt-shaker just in case the chef is phoning it in that month isn't a bad idea. They have occasional special events that are more tempting for vegans. In short, keep an eye out for special events and a menu rotation that looks tempting if getting vegan food is a top priority!
Lake K — Google review
If you, like many vegetarians of a certain age, learned to cook from the Moosewood cookbook, you need to stop by if you are in Ithaca. The staff was pleasant, the restaurant homey, the food was decent but uninspired and something you can get at many mainstream restaurants. There were six entrées on the menu and I think I’ve seen all of them at suburban restaurants in other places. With such an amazing reputation, it would be nice if the special of the day was something that you can’t usually get everywhere else. Salmon salad? The veggie pot pie was deconstructed, with some veggies and a sauce in a bowl and a crescent of crispy puff pastry on top. The curry dish has some spice to it, and the cauliflower was delicious, but a little scant for the price.
Karen S — Google review
This is a bucket list item for me and it did not disappoint. Everything about this restaurant is joyful especially the food experience. The dishes were vibrant, colorful, and delicious. A worthwhile experience and I am so grateful to have experienced it and look forward to trying out the cookbook. Wish there were more restaurants like this one.
James P — Google review
Great vegetarian restaurant. I had heard a lot of good things about it on the parent’s group & it surpassed our expectations. Wonderful ambience, great service & delicious food. Definitely recommend. The sweet potato & black eyed pea soup & batatas bravas are a must try.
Sonali — Google review
Having owned the Moosewood cookbook for decades, I was excited to visit this culinary icon of vegetarianism. We loved the green pea hummus especially, but all three dishes we ordered were delicious. Emily provided excellent service on the covered patio. The nicely appointed gift shop, displaying many of the MW cookbooks, had unexpected delights. I purchased a locally made candle with an unusual yet pleasant scent. My only negative which resulted in 4 stars is the inside tables are very close to each other and the original table was crammed next to a wall and was very wobbly. We opted for the outdoor seating as a result. We suggest they consider giving patrons a bit more space indoors.
Robert B — Google review
We'd came here during the Pandemic and were a little underwhelmed but it's THE legendary Moosewoods so when we came back to Ithaca, we knew we needed to give it another shot. Happy that Moosewoods is back and better than ever! Everything was delicious but the vegan tomato soup and curry were the real knockouts. Hope to come back again soon!
LL C — Google review
The restaurant was a find during my impromptu visit to Ithaca. I read up on the place and saw that it was one of the pioneers in promoting vegan forward cuisine. Even though I love my meat, the menu was so interesting that I had to try it out. And I will say this place did not disappoint. The food was amazing, it was just what I expected. Vegan forward with some amazing ingredients and really tasty. What was a surprise were the amazing craft cocktails, they were banging! Shout-out to the bar folks they have created an amazing menu and the drinks are good! All in a great place to unwind with some great food and cocktails.
Sayoni G — Google review
Cute apparently famous vegetarian restaurant in downtown Ithaca. Went with my family of 6, including one extremely meat-obsessed male. We started with the bread basket and lemon tahini broccoli for apps. The broccoli was deliciously charred, and the bread was good, but the portions were quite small, and the apps took like half an hour to come out. For entrees we ordered the daily soup with the steelhead, southern peach salad, chili verde, Thai red curry, Moroccan stew, and pasta strozapretti. While all the dishes were good, and the peach in my salad provided a deliciously juicy and sweet pop, there were way too many peas- like half the salad was peas. I really loved the Moroccan stew though, especially the couscous. Everything was fresh and well-flavored, but, despite a decent portion size, for a usually pretty carnivorous family, not super satisfying. Additionally, our server was nice, but the food took super long to come out, and a family that came after us got served like half an hour before us. We ordered the chocolate cake, almond cake, and vanilla homemade ice cream for dessert. I ate the chocolate cake, which was extremely rich and delicious - I loved the vegan whipped cream and orange frosting! I also had ordered a lavender lemonade as a drink, with someone else ordering the regular lemonade, but we couldn't taste the difference. Overall, the food was good and fresh, but the wait times and prices made the experience not super worth it. Glad to have tried it once, though!

Ice cream shop
Seneca Farms is an excellent ice cream shop with delicious chicken, burgers and hot dogs. The ice cream and shakes are amazing, and the staff are very friendly. It's a great place to go if you're in the area.
20250521 Came here to get some fried chicken for my finicky pup. The ladies working here are very nice. I ordered a garden salad and 3 pieces dark meat with Mac and cheese and beans. The garden salad was ok. It only has iceberg lettuce, cucumber slices, tomatoes and some cheese. I don't recommend it unless you really need some veggies. It would have been better if they add an egg. The fried chicken was delicious! My pup loved it! The corn fritters were amazing!! The best I ever had! I would definitely come back for their dried chicken. The entrance to the diner is on the side where the parking lot is. Facing the street is the entrance to the ice cream shop. The employee working in the ice cream shop was soooo nice and informative. I didn't get ice cream because my pup is diabetic... no more ice cream for her, and I can't eat it in front of her. The ice cream products look delicious! They have ice cream cakes and sandwiches too. He mentioned they have a gift shop across the street.
Tilly L — Google review
Super cute spot to grab some ice cream and enjoy the great vibes! It didn’t take long at all to get our order in, and the ice cream was delicious. We also checked out the diner next door, and it was just as charming—the staff at both places were super friendly and the service was quick. Definitely would return!

My wife and I have been doing some sight- seeing in the Finger Lakes region (visiting from Texas) and just happen to drive by and the white and red exterior caught our attention. We turned around to go back and check them out (5/25/25, their 75th anniversary). The parking area was very busy as well as the dining room and the enclosed pavilion out back. At first we walked into the ice cream shop in front but then we went to the back for the dining room. The lady at the counter asked about taking out order and we exlained that about the curb appeal of the restaurant from the road got our attention and we had never been there. She was very pleasant and helpful with describing what they had to offer. We decided to get a 4-pc meal and share just to try it out. I do not regularly eat fried chicken (on the bones) but we after taking a few bites, we just looked at each other amazed at the taste of the chicken and how well the chicken was cooked. Today, we made a special trip to to drive back here from Bath, NY, just to have lunch. We ordered the Family Meal just so we could take some with us to eat later. Hitting the ice cream shop next specifically for the Banana Split, which uses the 3-flavors of ice cream like I remember a a kid (in Illinois). Most places we have seen around the country (including DQ) uses all vanilla ice cream with the jar flavored toppings. This place is as good as it gets for great dining in the Finger Lakes area. Enjoy!

Good fried chicken in the back. Ice cream out front. Good mac salad. Lots of parking. Inside seating and outside seating under a tent.
TJG — Google review
Cute spot for ice cream, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. My friend and I were on a girls trip, and she wanted to revisit this place from her childhood. While it didn’t quite live up to her memory, it was still tasty overall. I ordered the bubble gum ice cream, which had actual pieces of gum in it—fun, but the pieces were a bit hard. Personally, I prefer soft serve, and while they do offer a few soft serve options, I would’ve liked to see more variety in that category. If you’re already in town, it’s worth a quick stop and does seem popular with locals, but I probably wouldn’t make a special trip for it.
Elizabeth F — Google review
The ice cream was decadent and fresh tasting. They had vegan options. I highly recommend two or three visits. We didn't eat the food but there were lines out the door!
Julia A — Google review
Really great ice cream, made inhouse. Multiple flavors of both hard and soft ice cream, sodas, milkshakes and sundaes. They sell their hard flavors in pints and quarts. They also have food - homemade soups and "famous fried chicken". We'll try some of that next time.
Gary W — Google review
Fast, efficient and friendly service. Fantastic ice cream they make themselves. My wife said their fried chicken is outstanding! I had a seafood trio meal with fried fish, clams and shrimp. Came hot and delicious. I really enjoy fried clams, but it's hard to find someplace that does them right - THIS IS THE PLACE! Oh, and don't forget their corn fritters which are nothing short of amazing.

This family-run establishment is adorned with vintage signs and photos that evoke a sense of yesteryear, creating an inviting atmosphere for diners. The menu features a variety of casual fare, including bar favorites like batter-fried shrimp and hearty sandwiches such as Reubens and chicken BLTs.
I stopped in for some dinner by myself after work last week. I really enjoyed my visit so much I came back with my husband the next day!!! Jordan was a wonderful server he remembered me and my order. He did a great job serving us. I really love the steamed clams from the small plates menu!!! The bread is grilled buttery and crunchy on the outside and soft and warm in the middle the broth so delicious I could just drink it!!! I will definitely be returning. The dining room is small and quaint it was full but not crowded. Plenty of fun things on the walls to look at. Lots of parking. The restroom was clean and stocked with paper towels. Priced very reasonably and still delicious!!! Great for a date or even just a quick meal.

Stopped here for dinner on a Saturday night around 7:30 PM. we were seated promptly in the main dining room. You can also eat at the bar. I had the Cajun grilled prime rib special and it was delicious. Prime rib usually has a lot of fat and waste on it, but this was beautiful! My friend had the surf and turf tortellini special, which was also delish - steak and seafood tossed in a marsala wine sauce. Service was excellent. Will I go back? Absolutely!

Went out for my birthday and didn’t regret choosing here for a second. Sharon was our server and she was absolutely amazing. The drinks were delicious. We got the calamari appetizer, and the fact that there was actually tentacles and the calamari was crispy and amazing , was a good sign ! Then for dinner, I got a special “Bing and Gorg” absolutely fantastic and savory. Will be going back here in the future

I used to absolutely love this place. Their fries were the best around. Now the fries are a disappointment leaving me sad and uninterested. The rest of the food is great though.

Recently visited on a Saturday evening with a group of friends celebrating a birthday. Called to make reservations the day before and the restaurant easily accomodated my party of 8. The bartender, hostess, and waiter were all fantastic. Very nice people who definitely were attentive and made it a good experience. 3 stars as the food quality didn't meet the expectation for my group this time. The service was phenomenal so I am willing to give it another try. My friend's chicken rigatoni was way overdone. The chicken was hard. My other friend's artichoke french was bland, my french onion soup was cold and my portobello melt really wasn't great- the bread was stale, and the filling wasn't tasty. I'm typically not the person to complain about food quality. Very rarely. I'm pretty easy going when it comes to food. The presentation/plating of the food looked good. It just didn't meet the expectation this visit. My husband did state his shrimp bowl was delicious.

We have typically loved this place for years but the service has fallen off completely. Stopped by this afternoon with my wife for dinner. We were seated outside and then completely ignored for 25 minutes. Tried, and failed, three times to get a passing servers attention with no luck. Ended up walking out. As we were leaving, the hostess who sat us thanked us for coming in.

Keuka Restaurant, located in Penn Yan, offers a laid-back atmosphere with a menu featuring comfort food items like homemade mac n cheese and savory soups. The restaurant has a pub atmosphere but is family-friendly, offering specials like wings and a 'famous Friday fish fry.' Their dinner menu includes steaks, seafood, and pasta dishes while lunch options feature burgers, sandwiches, and wraps.
My spouse & I went here on a Sunday afternoon, after lunch & before dinner. It was fairly quiet when we got there, with only a few people seated. We found a spot on the street right in front. We were seated immediately. My spouse ordered the chicken fingers & onion rings, which were delicious. It's a staple there, with the onion rings being sooo good. I ordered the Switz Burger (with a substitution for the cheese). It was amazing. Their fries are also nice & crispy. Their tables are filled with fun advertisements for local businesses, which gives the place a homey vibe. The food & the service were top notch. It's a great place to get a bite to eat.

We stopped for a quick dinner because of the ratings & reviews. I got a pulled pork sandwich w/onion rings & hubby got a bunless burger w/fries. My sandwich was good, nice amount of smoke and very tender & moist. Hubby said his burger was good 👍 The prices for the sandwiches were $15 each and very filling, huge bun & lots of meat! I did not eat much of the bun so as not to fill up too much. We had ice cream on our minds for dessert.

I happened to walk in by accident on what appeared to be an “All You Can Eat Crab Legs” night — and what a pleasant surprise that was at first! Our server was fantastic: attentive, friendly, and quick to keep the plates coming without any hesitation. The food itself was excellent — the crab legs were fresh, flavorful, and consistently served hot. Definitely two thumbs up on taste and service. However, the experience was noticeably dampened by the behavior of a manager or team lead who seemed increasingly bothered by the number of crab leg refills we received (which, to be fair, was around eight or more plates). Throughout the meal, this individual made multiple passes by our table, giving us what felt like judgmental or disapproving looks — not exactly the welcoming atmosphere one expects during a promotion that’s advertised as all you can eat. What really stood out was that by the time we finished our meal and were leaving, the signage promoting the crab legs special had been removed or changed, suggesting that either the offer had suddenly ended or was perhaps not intended for the level of enthusiasm we brought to the table. In summary: stellar food, excellent service from the waitstaff, but a disappointing and awkward vibe from management that left a sour aftertaste. If you’re going to advertise “all you can eat,” guests shouldn’t be made to feel guilty for enjoying it.

If you order the beef brisket don’t expect what you’ll get at a BBQ joint. This is roasted then sliced super thin and grilled. It’s like beef jerky.

Excellent place from very pleasant accommodating staff to great food and atmosphere! I had the Chicken Parm. Best I have ever had! It came with a side salad that had chic peas and other veggies, ver good! My husband had a vegetarian linguine dish that he loved! Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Orderd the Friday fish special with Onion rings. Both were fried to perfection! Absolutely the best fish fry I've had in years.

Service was great! Food good & good size portions. Reasonable prices. Handicap parking is in the rear of the building as they failed to tell us that when inquiring about wheel chair accessible.

Bon Ami French Bistro

French restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Canandaigua, Bon Ami French Bistro offers a delightful culinary experience that beautifully blends French and Italian influences. This bistro is known for its creative dishes, such as galettes filled with savory Italian sausage and drizzled in a rich parmesan cream sauce. Diners can also savor tender pork cutlets enhanced by a cider-bourbon glaze, or indulge in the classic steak au poivre, elegantly finished with cognac.
What a gem! One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The service was on point — attentive but never intrusive. I had the lamb chops, which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My sister had the Linguine Picante and loved it. We finished with the crème brûlée, which looked almost too good to eat and tasted amazing. Highly recommend checking this place out.
Heather L — Google review
My husband and I were in Canandaigua for a work-related trip. We were fortunate enough to get reservations at Bon Ami. The ambiance was absolutely lovely. The soup of the day was clam chowder, and it was one of the best clam chowders I've ever had outside of the New England area. We received welcomed recommendations on the food and wine pairings. The sauces on my husband's lamb and on my duck entrees were just perfect. There were several occasions where the staff checked up on us to ensure that the food and drink was satisfactory. We cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

Loved this place. Food was amazing. The owner,George- was great and very friendly. And the bartender Ryan was very attentive to guests. Loved it.

In a world where everything is homogenized… this little place has held onto its authenticity. The food is delicious and properly portioned. The staff very evidently enjoy each other’s company (and do this on the side) and it shows. And George is a character barré none. I recommend sitting at the bar. I had two nights in Canandaigua and moved my second evening res from Nolan’s to this happy little spot to bring my family out for a guaranteed great evening. (I enjoyed lamb, the bar tenders wine recommendation, and the bread pudding). Cheers!

Highly highly recommend trying this lovely place out, food was too notch - the most perfectly cooked scallops I've ever had! There was a bit of a hiccup as we called to push our reservation but unfortunately it wasn't communicated to other staff so our seats were given away however within 10 minutes we had an even better table than the original! The owners were just fantastic and made the experience one to remember!

The food was fine but really nothing special. I don't remember the last time I saw mandarin oranges in a salad. My husband's steak was kind of tough despite being rare. The one thing we both liked was the French onion soup.

What a fantastic place! The food was exceptional and our server was top notch. The owners are on site to oversee everything and stopped by the table to chat and make sure all their customers were happy. Make sure to order the French onion soup!

Party of 5, appetizers ordered were octopus (a special). It was decent, tender but I've had a better prepared dish. Needed more char though the potatoes underneath were perfect. The entrees were the star of the show: two orders of shrimp with vodka sauce and the chef and waiter were accommodating enough to allow us to add chicken. I've never had a better vodka sauce. Amazing. One of our party had the chicken gorgonzola, loved it. The other two dishes were the salmon risotto and the scallops. Both top of the line. I've eaten all over the world and those dishes were among the best. I would say the bread provided was almost unnecessary. Small and not impressive. But the service, owner, ambience and main dinners were as good as it gets. I'll be returning soon. Update: visited again and was outstanding once more. Bouillabaisse was amazing but I really want to amend my previous critique of the bread: it was wonderful this time. They added garlic, rosemary seasoning which was delightful. So good!

Restaurant
Seneca Harbor Station is a charming American eatery located in an 1876 train station, offering stunning views of Seneca Lake. The restaurant features a mahogany bar and beach patio, creating a perfect setting for lakeside dining with a nautical flair. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the lake and Watkins Glens marina while indulging in a diverse menu that includes seafood, steaks, and regional specialties.
Very friendly service stood out, as well as the outdoor seating with a nice view of Seneca Lake. Lunch was good, as we chose a salad and a burger, which was big and juicy. Menu was extensive with something for everyone, and they also had a large drink menu featuring local wines and beers. A little pricey but expected given the location and in a touristy area.

Service was good and we had a lovely lunch at Seneca Harbor Station. It was a nice mild day and we sat outdoor by the track overlooking the lake. I had the Seafood Roll with Sweet Potato Fries while sipping Blood Orange Cosmo, and hubby got the Ruben Sandwich. Both sandwiches were good and we enjoyed it as much as the ambience.

We visited Corning for our anniversary and Seneca Harbor was perfect for our date night dinner. Our server was wonderful and the food was fantastic - definitely the best clam chowder I have ever had. Also the pier was lovely at sunset. We will definitely return when we visit the lakes again.

The clam chowder was to die for. I’ve eaten clam chowder up and down the East coast. This rates in my top 3. The mussels were also excellent. Nick was an awesome waiter. Very attentive and friendly. Thanks for a great dining experience !

I’m not a seafood eater myself, but the chicken rigatoni was the best pasta dish I have ever eaten. My boyfriend had salmon and said it was amazing. Also, the bread is the best bread I’ve gotten at a restaurant. We also had some drinks and they were all great. Victoria was a great waitress as well. Very pleased with our dining experience here.

We went to Watkins Glen State Oark and after walked around the town, a local suggested this place and it was wonderful!! The food, the views, and the service were all awesome!! Our waiter Nick was very knowledgeable and suggested things for us to try. He did not steer us wrong!! It was a great experience!!

The seafood bisque was to DIE for. The value can’t be beat especially with the view you get while you’re dining. Plus, the staff is so kind and excited to share the interesting history of the area with you. Christa helped me out today and, as a solo female diner, she went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable.

Nolan's on Canandaigua Lake is a relaxed steakhouse located at the northern end of Canandaigua Lake. The restaurant offers a menu featuring Certified Angus Beef, seafood, and pasta. Guests can enjoy their meal with lake views from the outdoor patio. The restaurant prides itself on providing outstanding customer service and a laid-back atmosphere at an affordable price, making it an exceptional dining experience for visitors.
We are visiting the Finger Lakes area for a few days and this restaurant was recommended by a Finger Lakes Facebook group. I also based my choice on the reviews in here. We walked in at 7 PM and were immediately greeted and seated right away. Kelley came by the table and introduced herself as our server. We both started out with wine, I had a red blend and my partner had Chardonnay. I didn’t order an appetizer, but my partner ordered a Caesar salad and it was very good. I tried it, and I liked that it was more of a chopped Caesar salad. The rolls with the honey butter were excellent. I ordered the filet mignon, medium rare with mashed red skin potatoes and asparagus. My partner had the seafood mixed broil with coleslaw, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. It was a big portion and he ended up bringing about half of back to our Airbnb. Both meals were excellent. We decided to pass on dessert and enjoyed some of the cookies we bought at a farmers market nearby. The space was very nice and looked fairly new to us and it was well taken care of. We asked Kelley when the restaurant opened and she said in 2011. This restaurant is a nice choice if you’re in the area.

Nolan's was so frickin good, my girls and I went back the next night for dinner after our initial visit for lunch 🤣. For lunch, I had this Mediterranean quinoa salad with gorgonzola dressing that was so flavorfully creative and light. Then I enjoyed their chicken salad (would suggest adding bacon and provolone) on this golden, garlicky foccacia bread. We then overheard the waitress going through their desserts and that was our trigger to come back for dinner. For dinner I had these succulent crab cakes with their Sriracha ranch over a luscious bed of asparagus, asiago risotto. And, to top it all off, their delicious and creamy peanut butter pie. Ya'll a sista could have died, and I would have been deeply pleased that it was my last meal.🙌🏾 Last, but definitely not least, we were provided the most outstanding standard of service by the oh so lovely Jasmine. She was holding down both sides of the house with impeccable style, a sweet smile, swiftness, and charisma that left us with the best dinning experience. Give that woman a raise! 💓

I don’t write many reviews but when I do I feel it is worth my time and helpful for those looking for a quality restaurant experience. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful time at Nolan’s for one of many annniv meals. Our server was Kristen and she was fantastic. She was kind and knowledgeable of the menu and very helpful in checking for my food allergies. The food was phenomenal. Appetizer, salad, main entree and dessert. It is rare that we enjoy every course but not this time. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, service and the food was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend Nolan’s.

We’ve been to Nolan’s several times and it seems to be getting better. Went there Saturday night for a birthday dinner and it was really great. Bacon-wrapped scallops, steaks, filet and lobster tails and an awesome pork chop special were all top notch. The desserts took things to even another level! Fast, friendly (quirky!) service and decent prices. And of course a great location in Canandaigua. Great!

So had a planned night out with the wife. Stopping at several places in one night. Nolans was suggested for their food even one of the earlier spots employee mentioned their great bacon wrap scallops, and chicken @ shrimp Alfredo. It took us over two hours from sit to check out. 20 mins before the waitress stopped to get our drink order. Another 20 to get drinks that were loaded with alcohol undrinkable had to send them back. Took a while to get our apps and even the bread for the table. We had to ask if there were any special after hearing from another sever tell a table that sat after us what they were. The food eventually came up and was great. Because it took so long we had to alter our other stops as a lot of places closed at 9 and 10. Also, it was on a Wednesday night so it was not a typical night for an expected long dinner time or wait times.

What a great experience. I needed to divert because of an issue with my 182. I landed and was escorted to the maintenance shop. Bob(head of maintenance) was wonderful. Got me up and running in a couple hours. Everyone at the airport was great, everyone! You can tell everyone was trained in customer service, something that is harder to find these days. Thank you for all of your help that day Elmira!

this regional airport has friendly and accommodating staff, and security is well-organized and easy to navigate. They also highlight the airport's small size, making it easy to get around, and appreciate the helpful staff at the rental car counter.

Only 2 gates so can't get lost! Lol, friendly Delta airline peeps! Easy check in, and through security.
Brenda L — Google review
Easy small airport, nicely remodeled, but not much for services: We arrived at the airport at 5:00 PM and the restaurant was closed, just a small snack bar with no real meals or alcohol. Security super slow, but not busy. There was no display to tell us which gate was ours.
Heather H — Google review
Good airport- easy in- easy out. Security is fast. Free WiFi. The airport is freshly renovated and has even an outdoor courtyard for peace and enjoyment. There is also tons of seating near the gates. I hope more airlines add service.
David ( — Google review
This is low key high key my favorite airport. It’s easily accessible, clean, and small. I always check Elmira for flights to Michigan first because it’s a little over 30 minute drive from Ithaca. 👏🏻 And every once in a blue moon I find a flight that’s less than $300. I’m giving them 4/5 stars because majority of the time round trip flights to Michigan are roughly $800-$2,000.
Breunisje K — Google review
Allegiant employees at this airport pick and choose who they want to charge more or allow through. Their customer service is terrible. The security line is even worse. The TSA machine is slower than a snail. The only thing keeping them alive is their cheap prices which isn’t even worth it anymore. I wish I could give 0 stars. In the photo provided everyone in the line was on the same flight and took almost an hour to get through. the other 30 mins was spent at the check in line watching them charge 3 people for oversized bag when they weren’t oversized the bags just couldn’t stand up on its own. I was an hour and a half early for my flight and got through just in time to get on the plane. This is the very last resort. Please be sure if you take Allegiant through Elmira go with nothing in your bag and show up more than 2 hours early. Also there is no food there. The restaurant is always closed and only a snack bar. Plan ahead.
Brittany B — Google review
First, security is always backed up. Yes no matter what, you have to wait for something, but people get agitated when they are waiting at someone else’s mercy. Second, Allegiant does no justice to the Elmira Airport. There is doing things by the book, then there’s this crew. These people are on a power trip enforcing rules and regulations as if we are criminals. Elmira Airport is always a last resort when I make travel plans.

Ithaca Tompkins International Airport

Airport
Regional airport
Ithaca Tompkins International Airport is a small local airport that offers a convenient and stress-free experience. While it may have limited amenities, the friendly staff and efficient security make up for it. Travelers appreciate the short lines in the morning but advise arriving early due to occasional issues with opening times. The ongoing construction promises improvements, including a new departure lounge. Despite some minor inconveniences, this airport provides a valuable option for those looking to avoid larger airports like EWR or JFK.
First time I took flight to Ithaca. the trip was nice and I even love the airport more! The English and Chinese inside airport made me so proud of the Asians and Chinese who attended Cornell and Ithaca College! Their contributions to Ithaca is worth to remember. One of the past presidents in Taiwan also graduated from Cornell.
Wenyen C — Google review
Such a convenient airport! Security is rather quick & breeze as this is a smaller airport. It takes less than 5 minutes upon entry to access the airlines, security gate, etc. I come up to visit family and this is so much better than having to fly into Syracuse or another bigger airport.
Lana L — Google review
Update-- just flew again from here in early 2025-- the ground staff and gate agents are absolutely personable and attentive. -- The new airport renovations are fantastic! Ithaca Coffee company/ bar in the center and tons of comfortable seating with charging ports everywhere you look! Easy in easy out. Professional and friendly TSA as well as gate agents.
David ( — Google review
Cute little small airport. I personally like smaller airports where from the check in counter to security check, you seem to get personal service. The airport seems to have only three flights every day. The entire area is smaller than one boarding gate of big airports. And surprisingly the flight was full (even if it was a much smaller aircraft). The entire experience from check-in to security took about 7 to 8 minutes
Sadeqeen — Google review
Terrible experience with baggage claim. After landing, I had to wait about 40 minutes just to get my luggage. For such a small airport, that kind of delay is unacceptable. the overall experience was slow, frustrating, and left me very disappointed. This airport should be more efficient.
Jameson C — Google review
Nice airport ,security is very friendly and awesome, clean airport as well. If you show up early for your flight in the morning(4:45 am) the lines are short but if you wait until 5:00 am you might miss your flight! Construction underway contractors doing a great job, finished airport and security will be awesome!more progress new departure lounge in the making. Getting ready for the big Opener

Such a convenient airport, right in town. I don't have to drive to EWR or JFK and can fly out right from here. On days like this one I'm so thankful that there is an airport in town. I wish the fares are a little cheaper. I know the airlines are not doing great but as students we don't have a lot of spare cash. The facilities are good and the staff are very friendly. Overall I'll give this airport 5 stars for convenience.
Krishna S — Google review
Service is always quick and friendly. Limited flight options but usually sufficient to get where you need to go with only one layover. TSA here has CT scanners so getting your luggage screened is a breeze.

Syracuse Hancock International Airport

International airport
Airport
It's my local airport, what's not to like? Easy to get through and lots of places to charge your phone. It's smaller but makes connections to the most important places. I took a direct flight to Washington, DC most recently, and it was smooth despite the snow. Staff is friendly and the airport has improved a lot over the years.
Julio P — Google review
I will never take for granted my beautiful airport of Syracuse. I just recently returned from an international trip and when I tell you, that Syracuse has the best and friendliest airport staff for wheelchair escorts. They know their stuff and they get it done. My wheelchair was waiting for me once I was off the plane and I was taken care of with precision and professionalism. My escort was a friendly giant and I truly appreciated the small talk to take away the stress of waiting for my baggage. He asked me to tell him when I see my luggage and I said “it’s the burgundy” one and he chuckled and explained that’s how his mom uses colors. I knew it was kindness for him to share that and I appreciated his escort and enthusiasm to insure I had my ride outside. Nothing but the best. He waited for my ride to pull up and left me smiling. Syracuse I love you guys. The treatment I had in France made me see how top notch you all are and how I actually took it for granted. It’s only when you’re treated like crap is how you can recognize what’s an everyday thing is actually a fine tuned staff and well organized staff as a whole. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

SYR Airport is a solid airport. TSA entry went smoothly, the staff was very friendly and moved us along quickly. The airport has a couple of shops and restaurants. For being a smaller airport it is pretty good. The main airlines are American, United, JetBlue, and Delta.

Had a wonderful experience at Syracuse Hancock International Airport! There was virtually no line at TSA and they have officially began using the new technology that they use in Europe (you don’t go into a box you look at a wall and it scans you) parking lot to gate was about 10 minutes INCLUDING tsa (without pre✅)

Picking up arrival passengers is a complete mess and thoroughly obnoxious. It used to not be like this, the airport used to be very convenient and easy to pick up arrival passengers. It has already happened twice recently when I have driven up to the arrivals area to pick up my gf after coming home from her business trips, the airport staff are immediately, like within 30 seconds of me pulling up, in my face telling me 1) I need to move my vehicle right now, even as my gf is already right there and is about to place her luggage in the trunk, and 2) I need to keep driving around the grounds of the airport until my gf is out on the sidewalk to be picked up, even though she is actually already there on the sidewalk next to me ready to be picked up, and ready to place her luggage in the trunk. Not exaggerating at all. It's crazy. They are doing this even when there are barely any vehicles in the arrivals area. I was also told by another airport staff that I had 3 minutes to pick her up, even though she was already there ready to place her luggage in the trunk. I got really annoyed and told him to literally start timing me. We were of course done and out in less than 1 minute. I'm literally NOT curbside waiting for many minutes. I'm literally there to quickly pick up my gf who is ALREADY THERE on the spot and the staff are hounding me anyways. If anything, it prolongs the pickup because now you're debating with them while the arrivals passenger is already there ready to get picked up to go home. My gf was very unhappy with their attitude and gave them a dirty look. What an unwelcome way for a passenger to come home to Rochester. I can imagine a first time visitor getting put off by this unfriendliness and unhelpfulness upon arrival in Rochester. Literally I'm considering making use of the Buffalo Niagara International Airport instead next time I'm air traveling.

Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport is convenient and easy to navigate. It’s smaller than many airports, which makes security and boarding quick. The staff is friendly, and there are decent food and coffee options. Great for smooth, hassle-free travel.

If you pull up, and drop someone off, be prepared to be told your going to get towed if you don't move your car. If you picking someone up, and their plane has landed, be prepared to be threatened by security, and then by the police, this place is on lock down 24/7, and they don't care who you're waiting for, all they care about, is the money they getting for all those tickets they can write. Easily the worst airport in NYS. Always under construction, and it's never going to be finished.
