Sheldrake Point Winery, located on the western shore of Cayuga Lake and spanning 155 acres, is renowned for consistently producing quality late harvest wines. In addition to ice wine - a product they've been crafting since 2000 - the winery has garnered awards for their late harvest Pinot Gris and Cabernet Franc.
Highest accolades for the hospitality plus customer service and for the delicious, beautifully presented food delivered to us under the patio tent. I chose Sheldrake Point Winery for my small birthday gathering celebration because I already knew the setting overlooking Cayuga Lake is spectacular, as is the estate grown and made wine. The winery is under new ownership and hasn't missed a beat. The team impressed us and warmed my heart. They treated us all so well! Best decision to celebrate with the fine wines and staff at Sheldrake!

Enjoyed a nice afternoon sitting outside doing a lovely dry white wine tasting. You get a free Reisling bubbles glass to start & then you pick the rest! Loved the wine glasses the wine was served in. The gentlemen serving us were very nice & kept checking on us. We bought additional glasses & sat outside in the Adirondack chairs looking at the view - very nice!!

Sheldrake Point Winery was an awesome stop! We enjoyed French Dip sandwiches for lunch and it was truly the best French Dip I’ve had ever! We loved several wines but the “Bubbles” was our favorite. Incredible views of both the vineyard and Cayuga Lake. We’ll definitely recommend this special place, with a short, pretty walk down by the historic Driftwood Inn.

Very good tastings! We didn't stay for food, but the menu looked good! The Long Island family staff was super nice and very knowledgeable about wines. The Gewurtztraminer was exceptional!

Wow! This place blew away my expectations. The food, exceptional. The wine, delightful. The portions, generous. The wait, non-existent. The views, stunning. 14/10.
Corey D — Google review
Fantastic winery. Has some of the highest quality wines in the area and for pretty reasonable prices. Can't wait to come back when the weather is nicer. Also the staff were so nice and friendly. They came back frequently to check in on us and kept the place clean and tidy. Really loved our visit! Update from prior review - we came back a year later and got to enjoy the patio and view and again, we had a fantastic time. This winery is a must to visit!!
Meaghan K — Google review
Spent a few hours here with friends enjoying lunch, a few nice white wines, and the gorgeous lake view. Very pleasant and delicious! Our waitress, Maeve, was attentive and professional but never made us feel rushed in any way. Just perfect.
Judy G — Google review
We sat inside for a wine tasting. In retrospect, we wish we had sat outside. It seemed very formal inside. The tasting itself was disappointing. Our server simply took our sheets that indicated our wine choices. He then returned with the wines but took absoluteky no time to explain anything about the wines. He was pleasant but wholly uninformative. The wines were okay but nothing remarkable. At $15 per person for a wine tasting, it was so not worth it, based on the above. We won't be back. As an aside, we also went to Thirsty Owl. It was $5 per person and the server was far more informative ... as one would expect at a wine tasting.

Ravines Wine Cellars, located in Geneva, NY, is a must-visit for both wine connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts. Morten and Lisa Hallgren, the passionate husband-and-wife team behind the winery, bring Old World expertise to the Finger Lakes region. Morten's dry Rieslings, earthy red blends, and zippy dry roses have made him locally famous. Meanwhile, Lisa oversees the tasting-menu restaurant and creates seasonal dishes that perfectly complement Ravines wines.
Ravines is one of my favorites places! The wines are dry, and I’ve enjoyed every one I’ve had there. The service is always great and friendly. We live over an hour away and became wine members, and love coming out here a few times a year.
Kim M — Google review
We have been coming to this winery for several years and have historically loved it. So much so we joined the wine club. Recently it has been a bit of an operational and experience mess. Checking out is hectic and delayed due to people not knowing passwords to get into the tablets, being wine club members we were always able to select our tastings and our last time there we could not and were told it is because they sat us at a table instead of a tasing bar, the online scheduling does not cater to wine club members' benefits so you have to book and pay and ask for a refund. We were told to select a different way to book but upon trying, it was only for the location on Keuka and not an option for the Geneva/Seneca location. The final straw was calling to schedule a tasting for 6 people celebrating milestones because we could not book online. The person we spoke to said calling was the right move. When the group showed up they did not have anything written down for us. They did find seating for us but after sitting for at least 15 minutes without any service or acknowledgement we decided to leave. It is a challenge to keep good resources especially when a lot of help is seasonal but the experience should be consistent from the top down. You feel the changes of staff and unfortunately the experience has not remained consistent. I do hope they can get this in line as they have some amazing people and products when everything works together.

My husband and I have been coming to Ravine Winery for the past 3 years and all experiences have been fantastic until this year. We even became Ravinous Wine Club Members last year due to the phenomenal service and wine. This most recent visit was definitely a miss. Our tastings weren’t described to us and we were forgotten about. It was disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, the wine is amazing, but the service has most definitely gone down hill. The only positive aspect about our visit was meeting Dan. Dan is AMAZING and made shipping the wine for our wedding last week seamless and perfect. We are so appreciative of him!

The most beautiful winery! The staff working was incredible. They were so accommodating and kind. They made sure we were comfortable and that we had the best experience. 10/10 highly recommend! Also the donkeys are absolutely adorable.

Came here 18 months ago and wasn’t sure I would come back because the staff were not friendly… however… fast forward to today and their employee named Judy redeemed our opinion. Wines are great and please ask for Judy she’s amazing and made the experience special. Thank you Judy!

What a lovely winery! We visited this place Wednesday morning and took the first wine tasting reservation spot at 10 am. It was quiet and the barn setting overlooking the winery through the large window was simply beautiful and picturesque. I visited popular wineries in Finger Lakes over the years and Ravines is now on my favorite list. Servers were friendly and attentive and we had the best time here. Can’t wait to come back again!
Erin K — Google review
We had a wonderful time at Ravines, another beautiful Finger Lakes region winery. We called a day in advance, and easily secured a tasting. Completely understandable why they ask for reservations. The approach up to the property had an extra bonus of an apple orchard that was great photos. The property itself, what 100+ year old barn was beautiful to look at and a perfect spot for tasting. Our tasting guides were knowledgeable and friendly and we’re generous with the pores. We sample the number of wines and took a few home. Appreciated their thoughtfulness and care In describing the wines we selected. All in all a great experience. Do not let a few unhappy reviewers spoil your coming to this place. They are definitely worth your stop.
Roman — Google review
While not from the area, we spend a fair amount of time up in the Finger Lakes. We've become members of wine clubs from multiple FLX wineries and make an effort to visit our faves, as well as seek out new experiences every time we're in the area. Ravines is without question our favorite winery in the region. Morten and his crew produce a wide range of varietals and each is magnificently crafted. There isn't a weak spot on their list. Add to that that wonderful hospitality overseen by Lisa and the tasting room crew and every visit is a treat. I highly recommend making the effort to get over to their Keuka tasting room if you're able for a uniquely different vibe. Can't recommend Ravines highly enough.

Nestled by the picturesque Seneca Lake, Damiani Wine Cellars is a charming lakeside winery known for its hands-on approach to winemaking. The vineyard carefully tends to its grapes, ensuring only the best berries go into each bottle. This top red wine producer offers beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces for wedding ceremonies and receptions, making it a popular choice for couples seeking a romantic setting.
Charming and friendly staff who are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the wines, which made the tasting so much more fun. Great location overlooking the lake. Great selection of wines, some are price winners. Delicious & crisp wines, extra dry which I totally love. Totally loved the flight of tasting with generous servings. $15 /$18 for a flight $3 for any extra wine to try out.

We were quite impressed with the quality of the wine and the service. We enjoyed all of the wines we tasted, particularly the red wines which had great complexity and character. The fortified dessert wine was also incredible. Michael was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, and he helped give us some great information about grape growing in the region vs the rest of the world, as well as helping guide us through the many wines with excellent suggestions. He was more than happy to compare tasting notes with us as we tried each wine to make sure he understood what we truly liked to help pick the next wine to try. Highly recommended!

This winery has made it to my top five places in the finger lakes!! Incredible wine and great vibe with an amazing view! The guy giving the tasting was easy to talk to and friendly. I like how the wine danced on my taste buds robust flavor definitely great with red wine definitely joined the wine club and can’t wait to go back. It was extremely hot so we stayed inside, but I promise you the view is beautiful.

Awesome wine, fantastic staff, amazing views. Jeremy was a delight for our tasting - very knowledgeable and clearly enthusiastic about the product. Loved the gewürztraminer but their selection of reds are definitely the stars. Highly recommend the lemberger.

We had an amazing experience!!! I plan a girls trip to Fonger Lakes every fall. First time at this winery -and we will be back, and every year. Such good wine, beautiful view, and excellent staff. Jeremy, the manager, took extra good care of us! We look forward to doing a private guided tasting next time🍷 Make sure to stop here on your next wine tasting outing! Also the food truck was EXCELLENT! Again, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute here!
Rachel Z — Google review
Absolutely loved it! Great selection of wines and our server explained each wine! Indoor and outdoors setting, plenty of parking!
Mani A — Google review
This was our first winery we visited and although the outside was not as impressive as a couple of others, the wine was by far the best. So if you truly want good quality wine I would definitely recommend. The service was wonderful and they took a good amount of time explaining how the process they have pays special attention to letting the grapes and the job, no additional ingredients that would decrease the flavor and taste. To me this wine came the closest to the wine we had in Europe.
Judi Q — Google review
Pretty view. The service was fantastic and super engaging. Gave us extra flights of saperavi to taste unlike other wineries we visited. Will be back for sure

Bully Hill Vineyards, situated in Hammondsport overlooking Keuka Lake, is a must-visit for sweet wine enthusiasts. The winery offers a variety of sweet blush and fruit wines, including the popular Sweet Walter line named after its founder. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the lake from the parking lot and explore the winery's village-like setup with a wine museum, art gallery, gift shop, and restaurant. Guided tours are available to learn about Bully Hill's unique history.
We had such a wonderful experience at Bully Hill Vineyards! Our tour with Curt was the absolute highlight — he was so welcoming, sweet, and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing stories and fun facts that made the tour both engaging and memorable. He made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The property is beautifully maintained with gorgeous views, and the whole atmosphere is so relaxing yet full of character. The wines are fragrant, refreshing, and full of flavor — each tasting felt like its own little adventure. It’s also a surprisingly perfect spot for kids and families, with plenty of space to explore, as well as an amazing place for a fun day out with friends. Between the friendly staff, the charm of the place, and the quality of the wine, we left with happy hearts, bottles to take home, and memories we’ll cherish. Highly recommend! 🍷🍇

Good food, great view. Stopped by for lunch, was really good. Salads, barbecue, sandwiches. Can’t go wrong. Nephew’s review of the peanut butter pie was “silky and flavorful with a phenomenal presentation”. Try the onion rings, they are worth it. If you can sit on the patio/deck, do that.

We were there to lead prep and it was worth the drive! The staff were so kind and accommodating from the moment we sat from lunch. We continued to a wine tasting and then the museum. Our wine tasting bar tender was so humorous and knowledgeable- TOP NOTCH! Steve checked in on us periodically and made sure we didn’t need anything. The lunch was superb. Highly recommend for a wine stop!!!

Fabulous experience: from the amazing views to the tasty wine. Great place to stop for lunch, an amazing view of Keuka Lake and good wine. The staff is enthusiastic and friendly. Lots of parking with a handicap drop off area. Nice museum and art gallery with free winery tours.

We went in directly after a large party, the place was packed so we were expecting a long wait. After we placed our food order, it seems like it was less than five minutes when it came out. Very good and the desserts were delicious. Also, the view was spectacular. Two thumbs up.

Glenora Wine Cellars is a refined vineyard lodging that offers airy rooms and a cozy cottage, along with a relaxed restaurant and tours. It's known for producing a wide range of wines, including the popular Blanc de Blanc sparkling wine. The winery has expanded to include an inn and a farm-to-table restaurant called Veraisons, which is considered one of the best in the area. Visitors can also enjoy breathtaking vineyard views over the lakes while savoring their favorite wines.
Great first visit. Enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck with a nice view of the lake. Was not impressed with the server during the tasting, we felt very rushed. We found they have an amazing selection of sweet wines and bought several bottles. Also loved the pina slushy.
D S — Google review
My visit to Glenora Winery was just okay. While the view of the lake was nice, it was partially blocked by the hotel/inn on the property, which took away from what could have been a beautiful setting. As for the wine, it was good, but considering the variety of wineries in the area, I’ve had better. The tasting experience left a lot to be desired. There was only one server handling the tastings, and they seemed to be rushing through everyone without offering much explanation about the wines. Having visited many wineries, from California to Italy, I’m familiar with how a tasting should feel, and this one just didn’t meet those expectations. Overall, while it wasn’t a bad experience, I expected more given the reputation of the area. There are definitely better options nearby.
NV — Google review
It was my first time doing wine tasting and our server was so friendly and nice. We each did 5 different wine tasting and then we enjoyed glass of wine on the deck with a gorgeous view of the lake . I highly recommend this winery. 10/10
Meldina M — Google review
They had so many wines to choose from and the 5 we tasted were all good but the Blueberry was probably the best I have had anywhere! I would HIGHLY recommend getting this if you like sweet wines. The view of the lake was a bonus! It was amazing! The only reason I didn't give this winery a five was the girl that waited on us didn't have much of a personality as when she was doing her spiel about each wine she barely made eye contact with us and it was on to the next one.
T S — Google review
My husband and I were able to do a wine tasting and educational class on glassware through the VIP experience offered through the Lakeside Trolley service. This is the oldest winery in the area and it was a beautiful place! The staff was so welcoming and friendly! We got to do a private experience where we learned the importance of glassware and how it either positively or negatively impacts wine! It was so informative and I highly recommend everyone doing it so they can learn about it too! Beautiful view of Seneca Lake too!
Elizabeth G — Google review
We loved it here! We stayed at the Inn and visited the winery. Highly recommend both! The inn was spacious & nice, with a great view from our balcony. At the winery, we love sweets & fruit wine, so it was perfect for us. Great covered patio to enjoy summer. We’d love to come back!
Courtney W — Google review
I for one love this place! I am not a dry wine person but my husband swears by their yellow taxi cab, I myself adore all of their fruit wines. Even if you don’t like wine, visit for a slushie, or to just look at the view. The view of the lake is immaculate. I also love that the lady at the tasting counter had a few mins of time and she went out of her way to find my size in one of the shirts I really liked. I will always come back here. 10/10 amazing!
Barbara P — Google review
Experienced quintessential Finger Lakes visit on Seneca Lake at Glenora wineries. Enjoyed a fantastic dinner meal at the Veraison’s restaurant. We always choose to sit on the deck to enjoy the view of the lake. started with a seafood chowder, and main course was halibut and the Ahi Tuna. Vegetable medley was fresh and shareable. save room for dessert. We had the pistachio cheesecake with a graham cracker crust ... won’t forget that. Server was excellent and had great sense of humor. Check the website for open/ closing days and times as they may close the restaurant for special events, such as weddings. Drive and park in front of the restaurant and your visit will be handicap accessible.

The winery is known for producing a wide variety of wines including white, red, sparkling, dry Rieslings, and ice wine. Their Noble Riesling Late Harvest and Tango Oaks Ice Wine are among the sweet wines produced.
We absolutely fell in love with this sweet winery on Lake Seneca. Our experience was just wonderful. We especially liked the Rieslings which is what we were looking for. Our host Meredith was very friendly and informative. We greatly enjoyed their patio for wine and a great charcuterie! Stop in here when you are in the Finger Lakes! You won’t be disappointed.

We had a nice snack and a couple of flights of wines. I should have done a tasting, as the flight selection was a little limiting, but I enjoyed it nonetheless, and sitting out on the deck was lovely. Matt and the other staff were pleasant and helpful. We liked the wines but the one my wife loved was a little over budget for us so we did not get a bottle to bring home.
Pablo D — Google review
Walked in on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. Went because one of the close by wineries that have food, glad we did. All the staff we interacted with were exceptionally nice. Food was good (grilled cheese and wine, come on - what a combo! (mad I never thought of that)) Wine was good. Sat inside with a good view, but if you want to guarantee an outside table, make a reservation. Would definitely recommend. Easy parking as expected.

We had the pleasure of visiting Red Newt Cellars for the 4th of July weekend and I can’t recommend it enough! The bistro offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The menu is thoughtfully curated, showcasing delicious dishes that perfectly complement their fantastic wines. What truly stood out to me was the staff so friendly, attentive, and genuine. They went out of their way to ensure our experience was enjoyable, making us feel like more than just customers. Their warmth and enthusiasm added to the overall charm of the place. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a lovely spot to relax and enjoy good food and company, Red Newt Cellars is a must visit. We'll definitely be returning soon!

This place was awesome. Our waitress, (forgot her name)(short, hiker) was the best. She made our experience 10x better with the laughter and stories. The food? Holy cow. Get the grilled cheese smash burger! You will thank me later

On our recent visit to the area, my wife & I stopped in Red Newt Cellars. It came highly recommended by friends we met on our trip. Glad they did. The person who did our wine tasting did a great job. Very friendly. Explained the wines well (forgot her name). We found their wines had such a great taste. Full bodied. Many to choose from too. Sooo good! Must have been. I know I bought every wine from my tasting. I usually never do that. We bought a case and probably 3 bottles beside that. Just like other wineries in the area, tastings were very reasonable. It was very clean, and staff was very friendly. View of Lake Seneca outside was great. We would definitely make this a stop when we go back. I know we will be purchasing many bottles again!
Bob W — Google review
What an absolutely lovely stop. We always make sure to go there at least once on every trip to Seneca lake. This year we finally broke down and joined their wine club. Needless to say we now stop in even more often. The smash burgers are to die for and the friendly staff is the best. High marks to Roxanne for having such an amazing and knowledgeable staff who are a joy to spend time with, you know Danielle and Liz. We look forward to our next visit. JEFF & Marina

Fulkerson Winery, located in Dundee, is a family-owned winery with a rich history dating back over three hundred years. The winery is currently run by the seventh generation of the Fulkerson family, and they recently welcomed the eighth generation. Visitors can enjoy a warm and welcoming atmosphere at the winery, as experienced during a visit where the host graciously accommodated guests even near closing time.
What a delightful experience! We started with 18 holes of free disc golf (awesome time) and then had the wine tasting. Had some real winners and our host was great. Highly recommend, especially if you like disc golf and wine!!

We enjoy dry red wines. The 2021 Lemberger wine is not bitter and has a good fruity flavor. 2022 reserve Sarah has a nice peppery finish. We enjoyed the 2024 Dornfelder semi dry. Low to no tannons. It was a good drinking wine served chilled or room temperature.
Mary U — Google review
Fulkerson Winery offers a diverse selection of wines, ranging from sweet to dry. Our wine tasting was led by Toby, a truly unique gentleman and a wealth of knowledge. He made our experience memorable with his insights not only on the wines and the winery but also on local history. The winery itself is fantastic for a fall visit! They offer "pick-your-own" apples and grapes, and also have pumpkins available. Don't miss their nice gift shop, and for something different, they even have an extensive disc golf course on the property. Even better, there is no charge to play, and they offer a wide selection of discs for purchase inside the gift shop.
M. K — Google review
This was a wonderfully welcoming place. My wife and we’re back on the Seneca Wine Trail (for our anniversary) and went first to the bigger more commercial one just down the road. They were so rude and unwelcoming that we left and went back up the road to Fulkerson. I am so glad we did. There are so many options on both sides of the lake, but this is one not to miss. I won’t name the other, but you can figure it out. Cheers!

I have to give this a four star because we love the Red Zeppelin and their semi dry Riesling. Obviously that’s a matter of preference for everything. Their winery is open and airy to enjoy while tasting. Location is on the main road so it’s easy to spot unlike others that are hidden far back with a sign on the main road. Gift shop has plenty to browse through. I love their logo so I bought a magnet and a sticker for the fridge and car. I’m surprised that they have a large selection of disc golf supplies and accessories. My husband play disc golf and stated they had some nice disc there. Prices for the wines are always great. Staff was knowledgeable, professional and very friendly. Overall we skipped a few years coming here and they haven’t changed which is wonderful.

Great winery. I had a good time tasting their flights and enjoying some good food. There are very spacious and have outdoor seating as well so you can get a nice view of the scenery. The staff is very friendly and I did enjoy my time here. They do sell other items as well like disc golf disc and shades etc.

We had an amazing time at Fulkerson! We were celebrating our friend’s 21st birthday and Deborah made the experience worth while! She was very personal and energetic, you could tell that she loved what she did. Definitely made us want to come back for more!

Billsboro Winery, located on Seneca Lake in Geneva, offers a unique wine tasting experience inside a beautifully restored 19th-century barn or under the umbrella on the patio. Visitors can enjoy special flights of wines paired with CaryMo Chocolate Candies & Confections. The winery also welcomes four-legged friends in the patio area. Billsboro Winery stands out for offering less common wines like Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, and Syrah blends.
My friends and I visited Billsoboro winery this weekend, and the wines were amazing! The staff was so chill and knowledgeable; I think we all felt like old friends right away. And we saw a tiny princess! She was our unofficial greeter. Overall, the atmosphere was relaxed, the wines were top-notch, and the staff knew their stuff inside and out!

Really fun tasting experience. The barn is beautiful and the tasters are so much fun. I hope you get Glenn (make sure it's Glenn with two N's), he is very fun, knowledgeable and was one of the best parts of our visit. Unique winery in that they source all the grapes from other vineyards instead of growing their own, which means very unique Finger Lake blends.

My spouse and I did a reserved wine tasting in the last slot of the day and had a wonderful relaxed tasting. The service was excellent and the wines were great. Loved the Syrah and the Dry Riesling. The tasting area is very comfortable with a view of the lake through the trees and all aspects of our visit were excellent! I highly recommend stopping at Billsboro

One of our favorite wineries on Seneca Lake. We bring new friends there every year and they become fans. Their wines are well made and appeal to a wide range of tastes. The outdoor area is very inviting.

Our group of four goes to the finger lakes every year, and since we’ve discovered Billsboro it’s been a required stop ever since. The wines are fantastic (best on the lakes in my opinion), the ambience is peaceful, and the servers are warm and inviting. If you’re lucky enough to have Michael as your server you’re getting the best of the best. Please let him talk you into the wine club, it’s so worth it. The hats are pretty great too (😉).

We are making our annual visit to Seneca and stopped at Billsboro twice this week. First we did a wine tasting which allowed us to bring our dog and the scenery and views were unmatched. The patio area was gorgeous and the views of the lake were picturesque. We then went back tonight for pizza on the patio and the service and food was amazing. The pizza was made fresh to order and the wine was the perfect pairing. We’ll be making Billsboro a required stop next time we are in the area!

Our group of 8 was coming directly from the airport, I wasn’t sure if we’d have travel delays – so I was apprehensive to make a reservation. I emailed earlier in the week and they graciously booked us a tentative reservation without requiring prepayment, just asking us to call if we were delayed. What a GREAT experience! Glenn was so much fun, taught us so much and really made us feel at home. He really made the experience perfect! Definitely sit on the patio and enjoy the views. They offered juice flights for our nondrinkers. The wines were great! I enjoyed the chocolate/wine pairing a ton. Don’t miss this stop

Stopped in to pick up a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc on July 4 -- next thing I knew we were doing a tasting and heading on our way with multiple selections, including a sparkling wine. Michael was an excellent server -- gracious, down to earth and very knowledgeable. The tasting room and outdoor seating area are lovely. We packed a picnic but the winery has a very nice, local food-focused menu. We'll enjoy that another time. Great wines and a great experience!

Nestled in the picturesque Finger Lakes region, Weis Vineyards boasts a rich history dating back to 1829 when Reverend William Bostwick planted grapes for both consumption and sacramental wine. Overlooking the stunning Keuka Lake, this vineyard specializes in crafting German-style dry wines while also gaining acclaim for their sweet offerings like Riesling Ice Wine.
I love this winery: my husband’s family lives nearby and this is the one place we continue to come back too. They’ve done a great job expanding and making a beautiful outdoor space. We did flights today and really enjoyed all of the wines we tried. I highly recommend this winery. This place has it all- ambiance, the views, and the wine are all 10/10. Staff is friendly and welcoming
J H — Google review
We were invited to a group wine tasting excursion around Keuka Lake, and Weis Vineyards was our first stop of the day. The facilities are clean and inviting, and our tasting with Jules in the converted schoolhouse building was fun and informative. Jules knew the wines well and shared vivid stories about them and also about some of her experience with wine activities in the region. The wines we tasted were great, and we bought a few bottles. Weis was among my favorite stops in the area, and we'll be back!
Alex H — Google review
The atmosphere was enjoyable and there was a good view. The wines were fine. We got two flights. Nothing was bad, but also nothing stood out. Ordering was simple and service was quick and friendly. I would go back for another flight and to sit on the deck

We are so glad we stopped in. Best winery, best service and fabulous wines! We first fell in love with the view...then our tasting specialist, the wine and then food! The new rooms are so spacious and gorgeous! We loved it so much we came back 2x in one day! We can't wait to come back next year!
Lori R — Google review
The first thing you notice about Weis Vineyards is how absolutely beautiful it is and how stunning the surroundings. I visited recently with a very large group. Weis was totally prepared and welcomed us into a tasting building that was once a 1-room schoolhouse. We had called in advance to plan our trip and Eric took all 20+ of us on! He introduced all of the wines we were sampling to help us enjoy all the delicious offerings. Afterwards, we visited the main building. While there we could purchase wine and food, plus regional items and winery swag. There were different sampling spaces including an outdoor patio with yard games and some Adirondack chairs positioned to look over Keuka Lake. We met the Tasting Room Manager, Tambi, when we went into the main building and she was great about showing us around and generally making us all feel welcome. I definitely recommend visiting Weis on your next trip to the Finger Lakes Wine Country!

Nice place. Wines are delicious. Cute flight presentation. Only downfall no good snack or food options. Kitchen is closed so it’s pretzels or popcorn only. All vineyards should have a charcuterie board to complement the wines. Nice perk… you can keep your glass

Beautiful vineyard. It was very busy when we were there so seating was limited. The food was delicious. We also had a wine flight which came out in small bottles. Great for sharing. The wines we tried did not impress but that's just personal preference. I would still highly recommend

The Heron Hill Tasting Room at Canandaigua Lake is a charming satellite location of the renowned Heron Hill Winery, housed in a picturesque 100-year-old barn with stunning views of Cabernet Franc and Riesling vineyards. The open space offers high ceilings and original wooden beams, creating an inviting atmosphere for wine tastings. Visitors can enjoy a choice between wine and chocolate pairings or select from a variety of five wines.
Enjoyable! Marcy, our tasting room Server was "delightful and professional!" Her joy and knowledge made our visit great fun!!

Been wanting to go here forever, great ambience and really enjoyed the wine. Plus a fantastic view of Canandaigua Lake
Norman K — Google review
1. The wine in the finger lakes is terrible, so I can’t fault them for the fact that I don’t like it. Some of the varieties I tried had either a sour tinge or even a rubbing alcohol smell. I’m not sure I’ve ever left a place without buying a case, but I didn’t even want a glass. 2. I picked this place because somewhere I read that the Canadaigua location has a lovely view of the lake. It doesn’t. It’s not their fault I misread or even believed something on the internet they didn’t put out, but it def added to the downward spiral. 3. The bar tender was lovely. She was knowledgeable and excited about the wine. 4. They have you sit down and just circle 5 off of a paper- not my preference for a pd tasting as it’s not directional. 5. The chairs/stools are wickedly uncomfortable. I was better off standing in heels. 6. Live music outside had a nice relaxed vibe people seemed to be enjoying. 7. They weren’t exactly generous with the pours (appropriate). I guess I do just kind of expect a little conversation. Most places would guide as they learn your tastes a bit. Here you get the five you circled and hope you chose well. When an experience is kind of “blah” it’s hard to capture. All in all- the service was nice and I enjoyed the time with my family. I just don’t have any reason to want to go back.

The tasting facility is a forest green barn remastered as a first class modern facility with all of its old world feel. I tasted across the tasting menu from dry to sweet bubbly and it was all excellent. However, our tasting expert was even better than the rest of the experience. She was personable, welcoming, knowledgeable, and fun loving. She shared the history of Heron Hill Winery, highlighting the fact that Heron Hill remains a family operation after 53 years of perfecting there craft. The best part of all was that the our tasting expert actually said that her number one goal is that everyone she serves has a great experience, which means that she can and will adapt to ensure your next tasting is your best tasting experience of all time. Great Job Heron Hill!

We make a point of coming here at least a couple of times a year. Sometimes, we get reservations. This time, there was room at the bar. The bar tender was very knowledgeable and helpful. The food is always good. This time, we had an old-fashioned and charcuterie board.

Just bought 2 bottles of Heron Hill Unoaked Chardonnay. What a sticker shock it was. 64.00 dollars for the 2 bottles. This wine was never this expensive when I worked there. No wonder the wine industry is having problems selling wine. Very sad indeed. We will be getting our wine elsewhere going forward.
Rene H — Google review
If you're looking for a winery that blends exceptional wines with exceptional hospitality, look no further. From the moment my wife and I stepped in, we were made to feel welcome. For tastings, we were offered the choice between a wine and chocolate pairing or a choice of five wines. We opted for the latter. We enjoyed all that we tasted and decided on several to take home. But not before enjoying a couple more glasses and a meat and cheese board. We enjoyed our time there and look forward to returning in the summer to take advantage of their outdoor seating.

I've done several cooking classes here now. It's pricey but not really when you think about what you would spend at a nice restaurant. The food is fresh and local and such a fun date night. We've gone with friends and just met other couples too. Always had a blast.

Stopped in after another event - and were the first people seated on a Saturday. Food we really liked - had the meatball trio and the fish tacos - both were good. If I had one critique, the meatballs were a little 'crumblier' than I like them - but the taste was nice! We split a chicken bacon white pizza 🍕- and that was wonderful! I also had the cherry bourbon buck beverage - and I could have had a pitcher of that one - I was worried it would be too cherry-forward, but I thought it was balanced nicely. My wife had the hot chocolate and she liked that a lot too.

My first time entering there we were greeted by a very friendly hostess and promptly seated. Service was excellent and very attentive. My friends and I felt very cared for here. And that was only the service! The food was spectacular! Each dish had it's own style and was delicious in its own way. My friends and I found ourselves nibbling off of each other's plates! I would 110% recommend to go here and definitely plan on returning soon for other special occasions. Below are the Breakfast Platter, the Breakfast Pizza, the Chefs Choice Quiche, and the Corned beef hash plate.

Knapp Winery, located in the Finger Lakes region of New York, is a popular destination for wine enthusiasts and food lovers alike. The vineyard's restaurant offers an eclectic and gourmet menu featuring dishes made with fresh, local ingredients sourced from nearby farms and their own garden. Guests can enjoy their meals with wine flights or pairings while taking in the picturesque views of the estate vineyards from the outdoor patio shaded by grapevines.
We came for the anniversary celebration. The rainstorms did not stop the live music; vendors moved onto the covered porch. Our party of 10 had a late lunch in the restaurant. The Knapp burger was delicious. Bought bottles of my new favorite red blend, Profondo Rosso. The landscaping and flowers on the grounds are gorgeous.

Knapp’s became a fast favorite among our group. Our visit was awesome. Our server for the tasting was so nice and knowledgeable, she was able to give us in-depth descriptions of each wine we were tasting. Definitely the best experience we had on our trip in terms of learning about the wines themselves. They served yummy local cheese and crackers to snack on in between tasting!

Our favorite winery in the area! Jordan was the best! She made the wine tasting even more fun with her great personality and wine knowledge. Fabulous wines and reasonably priced.
Charlotte G — Google review
The winery itself is fantastic, the staff are attentive, knowledgeable, and make the experience enjoyable. Unfortunately, the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Wait times for both food and service were long, and the quality of the dishes was inconsistent. The aesthetics are an easy win, the layout and presentation are inviting, but the food simply doesn’t measure up. For instance, I was asked how I wanted my burger cooked, only for it to arrive completely different than requested. If the kitchen can’t deliver on that option, I’d rather they not ask. I’m usually pretty easygoing, but for the venue and the price point, I expected more. The fries were another letdown: half undercooked and soggy, half overcooked with a dense, raw center. The drinks were good, but when the food quality is so uneven, the bill felt almost insulting. To make matters worse, we had to physically track down staff just to settle the check, waiting about 45 minutes with no service. That happened more than once, both to request the check and then again to have the card processed. All of this was especially disappointing because it followed an excellent wine tasting experience. Even after a couple of cocktails and a bit of a wine buzz, the food and service issues were too glaring to overlook. From a quality standpoint, the restaurant simply didn’t deliver, and that’s what ultimately pushed me to leave this review.
Just W — Google review
A rating of 5 does not do this place justice. Gorgeous, 1st class interior venues. Tables are set with glasses, napkins and wine lists - so inviting! Tastings come with a bread, cheese and dip snack tray. Sheri, our server, was absolutely wonderful!! Very personable and knowledgeable about the wines. We were privileged to talk to Vanessa, the wine maker there. She had a great story of her life path. Bought several bottles to enjoy later. Also a restaurant there to enjoy!

I love Knapp! Such a wide selection of wine. Definitely try the ice wine, it’s out of this world! They gave us delicious local cheese and crackers and our DD some complementary local grape juice. After our flight they let us try a few more that we were curious about. One of my favorite stops on Cayuga!

My husband and I were on a long weekend anniversary trip around the finger lakes. We stopped in to the winery and gift shop on our way back down Cayuga. I was excited because it’s a big name. We looked around at the gifts then wanted a tasting. The staff behind the bar seemed busy and unwelcoming. An older woman, Shirley, asked us how she could help and we said we wanted to do tastings. She ID’d us, which is fine, but it caught me off guard. She told us she’d like to scan them, which seems unusually strict for a low-key Sunday afternoon. I usually have a hard time getting my ID out of my small wallet and handed it to her, highlighting that I’ll be 33 next month. Her service was cold and uninviting, it seemed like she didn’t want to be waiting on us. I almost stopped the tasting and left. It was very awkward. I wasn’t a fan of the wine, and was served wine with the sediment in it. I was surprised we got an extra taste of their mulled wine, and that she gave us a coupon for a free tasting at their sister winery.
Teresa G — Google review
My wife and I have been long time supporters of Montezuma Winery. Shortly after they opened their new tasting room, my wife and I went in and waited by the wine slushie machine for 10 minutes to place an order. There was only 1 person working the whole room and we were never acknowledged by anyone, so we left. We stopped by again today, 7/10, around 1 pm and stood right in front of the sign that says place your slushie and food orders here. There were 3 people working the room and again we waited 10 minutes, no one acknowledged us or said they would be with us shortly or anything. Again, we left . Half of the new tasting room is full of cheap souvenirs and has nothing to do with wine and service is poor. Burned twice now, we will not go back. Very disappointed. There are many more wineries in the area with much better service and prices.

Was there on Sunday 9/14 with my family from the Domincan Republic. There were 5 of them I was interpreting for. The person taking care of us for the tastings was super patient, understanding and helpful. The service here was amazing! We felt so comfortable, my family enjoyed the place so much that they only wanted to try the wines here and we ended up only stopping at one other winery after this as we enjoyed a few additional bottles of wines here on the beautiful deck. Thank you so much for the great experience. This is my favorite winery and now my out of the country families as well!

Beautiful grounds and deck for tasting. They don't give much info on the wine and not my favorite of ones over visited in the area. But a really beautiful place.

The customer service here needs improvement. We purchased a glass of wine and it tasted flat and sour. When we asked if we could return it for another different wine we were given an attitude and told they don’t normally do that. But it wasn’t our fault the wine was flat. Any other winery would have been glad to exchange it and realize that sometimes a bottle of wine is bad. Customer service is important if you want good reviews.

Chateau LaFayette Reneau is a charming winery that has been producing estate-grown vinifera wines for 35 years. The tasting room, located in a century-old barn, offers a rustic and inviting ambiance. The winery has received prestigious awards such as the Governors Cup and five Jefferson Cups, showcasing their dedication to quality. Do not miss stopping at this winery. It's on the east side of the lake, lots of parking and amazing views of both the vinyard and the lake. They have a large deck with seating where you can relax and enjoy your favorite glass of wine after a tasting The staff really know the wines and is able to guide you on what wines to try if you are not quite sure what you might like. I live the rose they have as well as the Chardonnay they offer. This is always a stop for me and I can't wait to go back!

Our 5th winery. Some make you stand at bar like cattle being milked. Some have cheap setups and irritated servers. This winery accommodates you and is very pleasant. You are seated comfortably and with pleasing ambience. You can choose air conditioning or outdoors on an expansive deck with a nearly full view of the entire lake. Flights are self directed and more romantic this way. You get 12 oz of quality wines which is the most generous of all places so far. Wines are very good with 4 that we will buy again. Emma went out of her way for us, and we had a very relaxing time. Will return for sure.

Love this place! Out of the four wineries we visited, this one was my absolute favorite. The view was spectacular, the weather was perfect, and the location is close to several other wineries—great for wine hopping! I went with the sweet wine flight, which includes five wines. My favorite was the Niagara—it tasted just like white grape juice (dangerously good!)—and I ended up taking home four bottles. I also grabbed two bottles of the Emperor’s Blush to make their signature sangria. The pricing of the flights and bottles are super reasonable too! My friend, who works in hospitality and has pretty high standards when it comes to wine, also really enjoyed this spot and ordered their drier white wine flight. I'm already looking forward to coming back in the future!

Great wine and beautiful setting. We had a few little, well-behaved kids with us and they were very accommodating. Loved the Meritage and several chardonnays 💕.

A memorable place out of all of the vineyards we visited this past weekend. Shame we waited until the end of our trip to visit because otherwise we would have returned. Fantastic wine with a breathtaking view.

We stopped here for the location alone and did no prior research to come here. As you can see in the pictures , the views here are great. It is right on the lake. The staff were also friendly - no complaints there. My friend and I both just did not enjoy even one glass of our tastings . The wine all tasted bad and had a weird taste.
Caitlin S — Google review
A winery that knows on what to focus on - great wine and the enjoyment of it. The prices are very considerate for this region with wine that tastes way better than similar ones from other wineries charging twice the price.

Miles Wine Cellars, situated at 168 Randall Crossing Road in Himrod, offers a unique experience as it is located on the shores of Seneca Lake. The property features a picturesque setting with tall trees and a stately columned white 1802 Greek Revival tasting room and inn. Visitors can arrive by boat and enjoy wine tastings at the boat dock, which also includes a small cafe. Additionally, the winery offers accommodations at the Inn at Miles within its main building.
Wow, this place is awesome! You can order tastings in the main room, or visit the bar on the dock on the lake. Nothing beats the view or ambiance. Wines were great, and the bartender at the dock had the perfect temperament for his job. He even told us all about the supposed ghost and showed us the ghost in the Ghost wine bottle. A great experience; we’d highly recommend it!

We just stayed in the William Miles Suite. This must be one of the best kept secrets on the finger lakes! The room is fastidiously clean and so beautifully appointed with period correct furnishings. The owners are on site and always happy to visit about the history of the home and winery. They treat you like family and also recommend some great local restaurants! The private use of the lakefront after the winery closes makes this a beautiful quiet place to enjoy Seneca lake in a serene non commercial location. We might book it every summer! Give it a try! I’m sure you will enjoy your visit!

Miles is awesome! The service is top notch and the view is amazing. The owner is very personable. I highly recommend for others to stop in by boat or car. They serve at the top of the hill or on the dock. The wine slushies are an A plus. We are frequent visitors and plan to keep it that way. Oh and they are dog friendly.
Missy D — Google review
Our visit to Miles Wine Cellar today was by boat, docking conveniently before a pleasant walk up to the beautiful main house. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the "Firecracker" wine slushes – absolutely amazing and the perfect refreshing treat on a warm day. We loved that Miles Wine Cellar is dog-friendly outside, allowing our furry friend to join us for the fun (though it's good to note they're not allowed in the main house). We enjoyed our slushes with a delicious spread of cheese, crackers, grapes, and meat trays while sitting and taking in the beautiful Seneca Lake. And seriously, you must try their homemade cookies – they're incredible! We were a little bummed we missed out on their homemade ice cream sandwiches, but that just gives us another excellent reason to come back. Beyond the fantastic food and drinks, the atmosphere is charming. We enjoyed learning about their historic ghost story, which adds a unique touch to the experience. Of course, their wine is excellent, and the friendly staff truly makes everything enjoyable. Whether you arrive by boat or land, Miles Wine Cellar is absolutely worth the trip. We can't wait to return!

Amazing winery right on the lake! We pulled up on a kayak and had a great time trying all their wines. Definitely recommend to stop by, they have a big dock if you come by boat too!
Octavian S — Google review
The wine tasting and quality of wine was excellent. We also did a tasting of bourbon and gin spirits distilled by Evan that were smooth and tasty. Then we went down to the dock bar where Evan was serving up wine, NY beers and a view of Seneca lake. I highly recommend a visit.

Enjoyed tasting the whites and the reds, all were delicious. Had a great conversation with Phuong who was very friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful 1800s structure on Lake Seneca. Highly recommend!

We stopped in for a tasting, but left. There was only one person and we didn't want to wait for what seemed like it would be some time. It's an older looking mansion right on the shore of the lake. Seems nice, but had a touch of a musty smell.

Standing Stone Vineyards stands out for its modern and sophisticated tasting room, offering a fantastic view of Seneca Lake. The oldest vines on the site date back to 1970, and the winery offers unique experiences such as gourmet bread and dipping sauces with wine flights, from-the-barrel cellar tastings, and guided vineyard tours. With rolling hills as a backdrop, it provides an all-encompassing experience.
We've gone to almost every single winery around Seneca lake and this is one of our favorites! The tasting room is pretty and laid back. The staff is so accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. Plus the wine is incredible. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone looking at what wineries to go to. You pay by the wine tasting and can get as many or little as you want.
Brittany — Google review
This was the best tasting experience we had all day, and we visited some great spots. Most of the places we visited have transitioned to a flight based tasting menu where you choose an established set of wines. For our group of semi-professional drinkers this is less than ideal. We loved the option to choose exactly what we wanted. The wine at Standing Stone is some of the best we’ve tried in the Finger Lakes and the customer service was top notch even though we arrived for the last seating at 4:30. This place is doing everything right.
Shauna D — Google review
With so many wineries in the area, it’s hard to narrow down a few to visit. We went here based on a recommendation from a local. We were not disappointed! Excellent wines, for sure, but the staff was what made the experience so enjoyable! Gabby was our wine steward and she is top notch!! Thank you so much Gabby for making us feel so welcome and taking great care of us Georgia folks!

Wine and experience were top notch, but not pretentious. Staff were lovely. Gorgeous views. Beautiful late-October visit on the deck with overhead heaters and beautiful surroundings. A new favourite, for sure.

No reservations needed (makes visits easier). Did the classics and it was 4/4! Enjoyed a Chardonnay, Guwerztraminer, Rose and Saperavi. Enjoyed the wine and atmosphere. Grab a flight or wine by the glass/bottle. Beautiful view of Seneca!

We had a fantastic time out at Sanstone Vineyards for a wedding. The space is really beautiful out by the ceremony location however, there is some building going on across the field. As long as they’re quiet on the weekend, it makes for a beautiful view of the mountains! The Cocktail our space by the pool Is dreamy and gives off a very fun Napa vibe. The reception location is perfect because it’s covered yet. It’s open air so you get a nice breeze and a beautiful view of the mountains and the vineyard. The team on site is so friendly and helpful. They will set up all of the tables and chairs so you just have to do the decorating. This is incredibly helpful. Sandstone is a great location, close enough to hotels and rideshare options that gives Off a very country vineyard feel. It’s also a really great option for a wedding because they do require you to use the curb catering and mobile bar which cuts down on you having to find Additional different Vendors. (Not to mention, the food is really good!) Overall, a really excellent option in the Treasure Valley to host your wedding or event!
Amy A — Google review
Absolutely beautiful grounds and atmosphere! It has a clean modern style to it. The wines are primarily dry, which is right up my alley. They were all very delicious! The staff are excellent in explaining the wines and very friendly with suggestions. You can bring your own food. I would highly recommend this winery!
Toni S — Google review
Was a great stop last year, but this year not so much. Chaos in the entrance, kicked off by host Jesse, with bizarre tasting options, not explained well. Half their wines aren’t even their own. Good luck trying them. Once you finally understand the system and ready to order a tasting, you’re passed off to other staff who are also trying to understand Jesse, and then they shuffle off tasks to other staff. Getting the tasting was difficult, with them saying come back for the setup, but they delivered it to the table. Prices of the bottles don’t match the menus. There were six of us, and all felt the same. Disappointing. Will try again next year when hopefully Jesse has moved on.

Toast Winery, located on the west side of Seneca Lake, is a dog-friendly establishment that welcomes visitors to bring their furry companions along. The owners, Mike and Jayne, are passionate about creating a welcoming environment for both humans and their pets. Additionally, the winery supports the local community by donating proceeds from their tasting room to a nearby animal shelter. Visitors can enjoy unique wine tastings accompanied by pickles, offering a refreshing twist on traditional pairings.
My wife and I stopped by while checking out the dog friendly wine trails. We loved everything about this place. Amazing staff, very dog.. and people friendly! They have charcuteries boards with locally sourced cheeses, pickles, and breads! The pickle pairing was perfect. This is a must if you’re visiting the Finger Lakes.

While at Watkins Glen, one of interest was to see the process of wine making. But here the place gave different opportunities. It offered wine tasting. The basic package is to taste 5 types of wine from a list of 25 different types. It was a wonderful experience. The host - Jayne helped us a lot to have the best selection. Above all, she guided for other places to be seen. Reasonable prices. But little disappointed as we could not see any part of wine making.

We stopped at this winery on a very rainy afternoon about an hour before closing time. We wanted to squeeze in one last winery before the end of the day. This one is quite new so they have a very modern tasting room. The people seem very friendly and there is good service. The place seemed pretty popular as there were lots of guests when we were there. They have a modest but good selection of wines. We like sweet wines and most of the wines here were a little more on the dry side but we did find a few we liked. The highlight of the place is that they have two Ice Wines which are fantastic. I had wanted to try an ice wine and this was my first chance. I bought a bottle to take along that is among my prized possessions on my wine shelf now. This winery is very close to Watkins Glenn so it's quick and easy to get to. I would recommend a stop if you are in the area.

We stopped here as part of a wine tour and had such a great time. We did a wine tasting flight and got to try a lot of their wines. Everyone was extremely nice and they offer a wide range of wines, from dry wines to sweet wines, and even unique features like one that tastes like a Margherita! We had a great time and would definitely recommend checking out this winery!

Good wine, good food and good company. We stopped here for lunch - I kept coming back to the Kimchi Fries - which I liked a lot. My better half got the chicken sandwich - and it was everything I wanted in a chicken sandwich - crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

Loved this place! Nice & spacious inside with a nice deck that has great views of the lake. We enjoyed brunch here twice - that is how good it was! I had the Thai salad the first time - so yummy! My friends enjoyed the cheesy eggs & quiches. Second time I was there I had piece of carrot cake because I wanted to be decadent - delish! Both times I enjoyed the dry rose! Really a great place, plenty of parking - go check it out!!

Fantastic place! Great atmosphere, nice view and courteous staff. The pulled pork was delicious! Smashing Smash Burger. Chips were a great side to both. Both the Red & Rose and White & Rose flights were nice. I enjoyed the Blanc de Noir and Barn Rose, both had great flavor and enjoyable to drink.

Arrived in Watkins Glen, early afternoon, & decided to make the short, 5 minute drive around the lake to Ryan Williams Winery. Our decision to go there it was in large part, influenced by other positive reviews. And, we were not disappointed when we arrived and experience the destinations for ourselves. Setback from the road it has a majestic view. The winery is centered around a fully restored 19th century barn, which makes for a very relaxed & elegant experience. Service was outstanding, & the manager/host made us feel exceptionally welcome & was fully engaged with all the guests making sure their dining experience was on point. The establishment is owned and operated by a husband and wife team. The husband oversees the operations of the winery, while the wife is responsible for running the kitchen. The quality of the food she & her team prepare is outstanding, & is definitely farm to table. The menu is simple but varied, & the portions were generous. If the weather permits, definitely sit outside on the patio & enjoy some fantastic views of Seneca lake. You will not be disappointed.

Spent the first weekend in October, going to different wineries around Seneca Lake on both the east side and west side. This one was by far one of the best. The atmosphere is great, the service wonderful! The wine samplings were perfect, and the food was the best that we had at any Vineyard. We got the wings, which were probably some of the best I have ever had anywhere, olive appetizer and their chicken sandwich with potato wedges. Everything was cooked perfectly! And so so tasty! Would highly recommend!!

This is a very small winery but the staff is friendly and seemed to really know the different wines. This was one of my favorite places that I stopped at on the lake. They have a good variety of reds, whites, dry and sweet and they offer discounts..the more you purchase the greater the discount and the prices are very reasonable. I would definitely go back.

SHERRY is the best asset to this winery. We love her! At first we were unsure if we would stop because it’s not a lake view winery, but it was SO WORTH IT! Sherry brought the personality and 100% sold the product. It was such a great experience in a barn built centuries ago. Don’t miss this winery on your stop! Sherry is the absolute best.

What a beautiful experience. We grabbed a glass of wine and sat outside with amazing live music. Everyone working there was very nice and knowledgeable in talking about the wines, enjoyed the whole experience. As for the wine we had, it was delicious.
Pranay D — Google review
It may just be because it was early and I was the only one there, but this was one of the most awkward wine tasting experiences I’ve ever had. The wine itself was fine, and it seemed like it could be quite a nice place. But the person at the wine bar just hovered over me as I sat there, so I felt a lot of pressure to just drink quickly and get out. Very little to no information was provided about the wines (unless I asked specific questions), no conversation was made, just lots of painful silence.
Andrew B — Google review
Very high quality wines here, I really enjoyed the tasting we did. I'm not a wine expert by any stretch of the imagination, but there's something here for everyone. I was a big fan of their lemberger wine, which was something new to me. It's a beautiful spot to spend time with friends and have some tasty drinks!
Cory B — Google review
We wanted to do wine tasting and because we were with kids we wanted to do it outside, however was not allowed to do that as tasting is only allowed at the bar standing and not outside even if I came in and out for the different wine. I find this to be quite pathetic, we went to another winery and they helped us outside and even gave the kids things to play with and draw - way better customer service experience

Bright Leaf Vineyard is a small, award-winning winery located near Cayuga Lake. The vineyard has received accolades for its wines, including a gold medal for their 2017 Cabernet Franc and a double gold medal for their Semi-dry Riesling. With a focus on intimate experiences, the winery only accommodates groups of six or fewer, making it an ideal destination for couples and small groups.
Bright Leaf Vineyard is hands down the best winery in the Finger Lakes! My wife and I have been coming here since Mike and Donna first opened, and it’s been our favorite spot ever since. We love it so much that we became Wine Club Members, and their quarterly shipments of wine are always a highlight. What really sets Bright Leaf apart is how much care and passion Mike and Donna put into their wines. You can truly taste the difference—their wines stand out in a region full of great options. They take so much pride in their craft, and it shows in every bottle. The warm, welcoming atmosphere is a reflection of their dedication to making the experience special for everyone who visits. If you're in the Finger Lakes, you need to give Bright Leaf a try. Whether you're sipping wine with the stunning view or picking up a bottle (or two!) to take home, I’m sure you’ll love it just as much as we do. Trust me—you won’t be disappointed!
Brian N — Google review
We always stop at Bright Leaf when we're in the area. The people are as friendly as the wine is delicious. They've got some fantastic reds, the super dry, peppery reds with a hint of fresh raspberry that just linger on the palate. The view over the lake is always gorgeous. When the weather is warm(er) I love to grab one of their Adirondack chairs & look out over the lake with a glass (or two). Highly recommend!
David D — Google review
Excellent service, excellent views, and excellent wines. Dry Riesling is among the best in the area. Off the beaten "wine trail" but worth the detour. Reviews that suggest poor service probably did something to warrant it. Some folks you just can't please. We make a point to come here every year. Can't go wrong!

We had a lovely time learning about all the wines Bright Leaf produces. Reasonably priced tastings, informative and welcoming staff (thank you, Shannon, you made our visit so enjoyable), and great charcuterie! Can't beat the view! We left with a case!
Deb C — Google review
We had a great experience today at Bright Leaf! Weather was amazing and we just ordered a glass of beer and a Chardonnay (Oaked) plus a charcuterie board prepared by Rebecca. We asked for someone to take a photo, and Taylor was right there to do it.. We were pleasantly surprised by the owner Mike sitting down to visit with us, and talk all about his and Donna’s experience finding this property. Mike brought out a pizza for the two of us to share. I would highly recommend Bright Leaf Winery for your next visit to Cayuga Lake!
Terry U — Google review
This winery is our new favorite in the finger lakes! Went there in the afternoon for a tasting, added another tasting, then added a charcuterie board, and ended up coming back for dinner, chocolate, and music. Oh and bought 6 bottles of their wine! Their Riesling is a standout in a region where Rieslings are the one. Their reds really won us over! They grow their grapes in the levels of land where you want your harvest of reds versus the whites and the taste translates to wonderful wines. If you like smooth and rich go for their Merlot or find full body with a peppery vigor in the Lemberger. Their Pinot again is velvety and fruity. Cab Sav robust and berry. Then their blend gives you all the tastes perfectly married together. Don’t forget to try the chocolate pairings too! Make sure to stay for a bit (and return as we did) to take in the view as you lounge outside, it is perfect for viewing the sunset. Steven and Shannon were wonderful and knowledgeable hosts we thank you for the time you took with us. Wish we lived closer but fortunately our friends up in Aurora loved their first time there and will be visiting there now more frequently. Be sure to visit you will not be disappointed! And I’m sure you will return as we will. Thank you!!

FLX Provisions in Geneva is an absolute gem! This shop offers the perfect blend of a tasting experience and a wine and beverage store. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a drink on-site or take home a bottle of locally crafted wine, beer, or cider. We stopped in for a flight and a charcuterie board, and it was a fantastic experience. The selection of local brands is impressive. The charcuterie board was beautifully arranged, featuring owner made patte and mustard that paired wonderfully with our drinks. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a nice place to unwind and explore Finger Lakes flavors. If you’re in Geneva and appreciate local beverages, FLX Provisions is a must-visit!

Whatever you do, do NOT bring your kids here. I’m from Chicago and have definitely experienced some attitudes about kids, but this was the worst I’ve ever seen. Within seconds of walking in with my two boys I got a sideways glance from the man working there that clearly said “get those kids out of here”. He literally said, “what do you want?”. When I said we’d like some food he begrudgingly set up a table for us but never came back to us. We waited 5-10 minutes and then I decided to leave with our kids to find somewhere that would not treat us like second class citizens. My husband stayed behind because he really wanted to try their wine, but he also said that the server brought him the wrong wines. I wish I could review food at FLX provisions, but unfortunately we weren’t considered good enough to serve.

I come to the finger lakes every year to wine taste and always make sure to stop at FLX provisions for a glass of wine. I’ve always had an amazing experience. Staff is always friendly and the service is wonderful. This year in particular we had the pleasure of meeting Ed. He was the best!!! He poured flights for 3 of us (all different wines) and was able to speak about each wine. He’s so knowledgeable and passionate about wine which made the experience that much better. I’d highly recommend going to FLX provisions, and try to see Ed! You won’t be disappointed.

Can’t say enough about our whole experience with this brilliant organization. From the people who run it to the product, whether it’s food or wine - just awesome! So we’ve to been to Fry Bird and we attended a tasting next door. I’m not even a fried chicken person and the food was amazing. Perfect fried chicken spiced with their own recipe - just delicious, including the sides. Wonderful experience. Then we popped over for a wine tasting and enjoyed several bottles of delicious wine from the region including Element. I loved the cozy atmosphere led by a very knowledgeable and fun sommelier. And on our way out we noticed a spice bottle with Fry Bird’s name on and it ended up being the very same spices they use on their fried chicken, so I took it home. Used it so much that I’m almost out - goes on everything. Called Fry Bird back up the other day and with Isabel and Colin’s help - I ordered some more. They are both so lovely. And a special thanks to you Colin for your personal attention and the lovely package I received with the special spice.❤️

Great place for local wine and brews. Delicious eats and Element wine aplenty. Check it out.

Amazing tasting with Colin in a great wine shop offering some of the New York’s best wine, beer, and even whiskey. Colin opened a wide range of Element wines from the last 10 years in the Finger Lakes. Some of the best aged Riesling and red wines I have had from the area. One of the most knowledgeable and thoughtful tasting experiences in the entire region. Tastings are held in a great space and offer later hours than almost any winery. Incredible experience all in all, definitely a must try spot in Geneva.
