Nestled in the scenic foothills of the Nilgiri mountains, Palakkad Fort is a historical gem that dates back to 1766 CE. This well-preserved structure, also known as Tipu Sultan Fort, showcases the rich architectural heritage and tumultuous history of Kerala. Surrounded by lush gardens and walking paths, it offers visitors a serene environment perfect for leisurely strolls or family outings.
Palakkad Fort is a peaceful and well-preserved historic spot right in the centre of the town. The thick stone walls, wide grounds and the surrounding moat make it a great place for a relaxed walk and quick sightseeing. It’s clean, calm, and gives a good glimpse of Kerala’s heritage. A nice place to visit for history lovers and anyone looking for a quiet break in the city.
Kishor — Google review
Visited Palakkad Fort on a holiday and it was almost empty except for a few workers. The calm and peaceful atmosphere made it a relaxing stop. Don’t expect an overwhelming or grand experience, but it’s definitely worth visiting for its historical significance. A quiet place to walk around and soak in a bit of heritage.

Palakkad Fort, also known as Tipu’s Fort, is one of the most iconic landmarks in Palakkad, Kerala. Built in the 18th century by Hyder Ali and later strengthened by Tipu Sultan, this fort still stands as a well-preserved piece of history in the heart of the city. Surrounded by a wide moat and lush greenery, the fort offers a calm and peaceful atmosphere despite being located in a bustling town. The thick laterite stone walls and traditional Kerala-style architecture make it visually impressive and historically significant.
Sreerag S — Google review
A well known historical structure. Please read about prior visiting here. Then only we will get an idea about the place. Pros 1. Very nice and beautiful structure. 2. Entry fee is minimal. 3. Many photospots inside so take a good camera. Cons 1. Better go early morning or evening. Noon time is very hot. 2. Bathroom are limited and not hygienic. 3. No inside eateries. So take your refreshment items while entering.

Palakkad Fort (also known as Tipu’s Fort) is one of the most well-preserved historical forts in Kerala, India. 🏰 Overview Location: Palakkad town, Kerala Built by: Hyder Ali, ruler of Mysore Year: Around 1766 CE Main Purpose: To strengthen military defence between Kerala and Tamil Nadu and to control the Palakkad Gap (a key mountain pass through the Western Ghats). 📜 History The fort was originally built by Hyder Ali of Mysore. Later, it was captured by the British East India Company in 1768, briefly retaken by Tipu Sultan, and then permanently taken over by the British in the late 18th century. During British rule, it served as a military base and later as a administrative center. 🧱 Architecture Constructed mainly using laterite stones, a common building material in Kerala. The fort has thick walls, wide bastions, and a moat surrounding it. Inside, you can find: Hanuman (Anjaneya) Temple Sub-jail (used during British period) Children’s park Museum (run by the Archaeological Survey of India)
Midhun B — Google review
The place has a big parking area and no waiting time. Tickets can be booked online to save money, and children below 15 years get free entry. Overall, it’s a good experience for families. However, one concern is that some couples behave inappropriately in public areas, which can make visitors uncomfortable. It would be great if the management ensured better monitoring to maintain a family-friendly environment.
PRAVEENKUMAR V — Google review
The fort is small but beautiful and beautifully maintained by ASI, there is nothing to see much but it's a quiet place in the middle of the city. Ample car and two wheeler parking is available in the fort premises. Fort is surrendered by water.
Makarand S — Google review
Palakkad Fort – A Perfect Blend of History and Serenity Nestled in the heart of Palakkad town, Palakkad Fort, also known as Tipu’s Fort, is a magnificent structure that beautifully preserves the essence of Kerala’s history. Built in 1766 by Hyder Ali, the father of Tipu Sultan, this fort has witnessed several chapters of South Indian history, including the British occupation. Today, it stands as a testament to strong military architecture and cultural heritage. First Impressions: The moment you step inside the fort premises, you’re greeted by a vast expanse of lush green lawns and a large moat encircling the fort walls. The fort’s massive laterite walls, still strong after centuries, offer a sense of awe and admiration. The atmosphere is calm and serene, making it an ideal escape from the city’s hustle. What to See Inside: Hanuman Temple: A small yet beautiful temple located inside the fort grounds. Prison Cells & Barracks: Explore remnants of old structures that once served as military quarters. Informative Boards: Learn about the history of the fort through well-placed descriptions around the premises. Walking Paths: Perfect for an evening stroll, surrounded by greenery and scenic views. Why Visit? If you’re a history buff, architecture lover, or someone seeking a peaceful spot, Palakkad Fort is a must-visit. It’s also a great place for photography – the fort walls, open gardens, and reflections in the moat create beautiful frames. Best Time to Visit: Visit in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid harsh sunlight and enjoy pleasant weather. Sunsets here are particularly beautiful! Additional Info: Entry Fee: Minimal, very affordable. Parking: Available near the fort. Duration: 1-2 hours is enough for a complete visit. Nearby Attractions: Malampuzha Dam & Gardens, Dhoni Waterfalls, and Jain Temple at Jainmedu. Final Thoughts: Palakkad Fort is not just a historical monument – it’s a peaceful retreat where history meets nature. Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with family, this fort offers a delightful experience for everyone.

Joby's Mall Bazaar offers a wide range of high-quality products at affordable prices. The mall features numerous discount offers on all items. Although the play zone is not as extravagant as others, it still provides enjoyable entertainment. A must-try snack is the delicious Potato Spring Fry found on the first floor. This spacious mall houses various establishments such as Hannah Bakes, Reliance Trends, and Joby Grocery Store and Gift Shop.
The best place to spend time for kids and family with play area and food court ...
Chinju S — Google review
Palakkad's 1st mall. Not something extraordinary. Not maintained properly. Some escalators are not working. No proper food court. The Glory is completely gone. Some Reliance shops, fancy shops, cloth wear shops are functioning. Nothing impressive at all.
Raghesh K — Google review
Not that Fun place nowadays, Just a small mall with basic stuff and all. There are other alternatives which are Great and have more supplies than this place. For starters there is supermarket which is good and have decent stuff.
Allen V — Google review
This location offers a diverse experience, combining shopping and dining options. While it is generally a pleasant place to visit, there are areas within the mall that require attention and improvement. Several escalators were out of service during our visit, which hindered our ability to explore the facility conveniently. Additionally, it seemed that the building may not have been originally designed with a shopping mall in mind, as some areas appeared to lack adequate space for the stores. Nevertheless, it remains a suitable destination for leisurely outings with both friends and family, offering a variety of shopping and dining opportunities.
Ashish K — Google review
I recently visited this mall and was quite disappointed with its condition. The overall maintenance is very poor, especially the toilets, which are in a terrible state—no better than those at a corporation bus stand. For a place that presents itself as a shopping mall, this is completely unacceptable. The management and staff appear to be careless and inefficient. If the current owner has any interest in the future of this mall, there needs to be an immediate overhaul of the entire management team. Otherwise, the mall may soon lose all its value and purpose. If the mall is to be sold, I strongly recommend that the new owner takes strict action and replaces the current staff with professionals who can actually maintain a facility of this scale.
Saleem A — Google review
An average mall… nothing extraordinary.. no proper maintenance… no food court. Most of the outlets remain closed. Few antique Jeweley shops, fancy stores and reliance trends and the supermarket inside the mall has almost anything and everything. A thumbs up for that... This is Palakkad’s first ever mall 😀

Joby mall is one of the best shopping mall you can find in palakkad town......the mall is neat and clean. The branded shops are limited here... Loved the ample parking facility . This mall is located in the heart of palakkad 😻 lifts and elevators was on repair. You can get each and everything under one roof .There are 3 auditoriums and some best quality food is also available here

Nestled in the picturesque region of Kerala, Fantasy Park is a vibrant amusement park that promises an unforgettable experience for families and thrill-seekers alike. Spanning 17 acres against the stunning backdrop of the Western Ghats, this park features over 35 exhilarating rides, including both dry attractions and water-based fun. Visitors can enjoy popular rides like Super Splash and Dragon Coaster while also indulging in delicious treats at the food court.
If you’re in or around Palakkad and looking for a fun day out with your squad or fam, Fantasy Park is where the vibe is at. This place blends amusement rides and water world fun all in one spot. The water slides are the real deal especially in the summer heat and the wave pool totally hits different. There are rides for all ages from kiddie zones to a few thrill rides that get your heart racing. 🤹🏻‍♂️ The park is clean and well maintained and the staff is super helpful. The entry fees are reasonable and they’ve got lockers and dress changing areas that make things smooth. Food court options are average but do the job when hunger strikes. Best part is the scenic backdrop of Malampuzha Dam and hills which gives the whole place a chill vacation mood. 🧗🏻‍♂️ If you’re in Palakkad and want a break from the usual this place is totally worth it. Just get there early if you want to beat the crowd especially on weekends. 🤽🏻‍♂️🏄🏻‍♂️

Had an amazing experience at the fantasy theme park which just located near Malampuzha dam, 5mins drive from malampuzha dam. The dry games were super fun, the Sky drop Tower was the highlight, giving a real adrenaline rush as it shot up and dropped us down in seconds! The water games were just exciting. There’s this one capsule ride where you stand inside and suddenly the floor drops- it’s wild and thrilling! It’s a perfect fun with family, friends and relatives with laughter and adventure.
Nevin J — Google review
I recently visited this amusement park with my kids and had a great time! The water rides were a hit with the whole family, and the best part was they were suitable for kids. The park maintained good safety standards, and we appreciated the relaxed dress code. While the dry rides were average, they were still enjoyable. What really stood out was that my two kids got in free that day! Overall, a fun day out for families.
Ratheesh K — Google review
We had a terrific time. Decent games. Wonderful green environment. The rides were well maintained. Only complaint was the very limited number of floats in water games. Also people the water game infrastructure does not support people beyond 80 kgs. This should be informed in advance. Because of this, children who were supposed to ride the wave with parents , some of them had to go alone . So the experience was limited to that effect . Some water slides were steep and we felt the protection/ sides could be slightly higher to avoid slipping or falling. Nothing of that sort happened..but the fear was there . Rest all were wonderful. For those who fear heights in water games ..there were other water game options, a thoroughly enjoyable factor. Freefall ride was amazing . Gyroscope was adventurous yet nice. Senior citizens do have price concessions. The place is worth visiting

Fantasy park is an affordable locale for school excursions and all. Even though, we went to Fantasy Park on a weekend, the crowd was minimal and therefore we didn't have to wait in long queues. Water rides and other amenities felt really entertaning, for the price. Food served was delicious for the price. And as students you could get discounts. Enquire in the office regarding the same.
Nikhil B — Google review
For Rs.750 per head, it's definitely worth it, rather having few rides to explore you really can have lots of fun. Worth it! Recommended if you're planning to spend a one day out. Definitely worth the try.

I recently visited Fantasy Park in Coimbatore, and it was such an enjoyable experience! The park is well-maintained, clean, and surrounded by beautiful greenery near the Western Ghats, which gives it a refreshing atmosphere. The water rides are the main highlight — perfect for both kids and adults. The wave pool, lazy river, and spiral slides are super fun! The dry rides and 3D theatre add extra excitement, especially for families and friends. Staff members were polite and helpful, and the safety measures were properly followed. The food court inside offers decent options at reasonable prices, and there are shaded rest areas to relax between rides. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a full day with family or friends. Affordable entry, clean environment, and lots of fun activities make it one of the best amusement parks around Coimbatore. ⭐ Rating: 4.5/5 🎢 Best for: Family trips, college outings, and weekend getaways.
Viswa — Google review
Fantasy Park, Malampuzha – One of Kerala’s First Water Theme Parks Fantasy Park, located near Malampuzha Dam in Palakkad, is one of the first and most well-known water theme parks in Kerala. While the park has been serving visitors for decades, it still manages to offer a decent family experience with a mix of water rides and dry attractions. The water quality is well-maintained, and safety measures are reasonably implemented. However, most of the rides are older, with only two newer additions spotted during our recent visit. To remain competitive, the park would benefit from periodic upgrades and innovations, especially considering the entry fee structure which is similar to that of larger parks. Weekends, vacations, and holidays tend to get overcrowded, so plan your visit on weekdays if you prefer a calmer experience. A major positive aspect of our visit was the excellent service provided by the restaurant staff—friendly, attentive, and efficient. Overall, Fantasy Park offers a nostalgic and enjoyable outing, especially for families and children, though it would greatly benefit from infrastructure upgrades and new attractions.

Nature & Parks
Nestled in the heart of Palakkad, the Malampuzha Rock Garden is a captivating destination that artfully combines nature and creativity. Established in 1996, this expansive garden showcases an array of stunning sculptures, intricate rock mosaics, and vibrant paintings—all conceived by the talented artist Nek Chand. Located just 800 meters from the picturesque Malampuzha Dam, it offers visitors a unique glimpse into Kerala's rich cultural heritage through its innovative use of waste materials.
The place was nice for a family trip.. But the entire park can be covered within 30 minutes or max 45min.. Near to malampuzha garden.. On the way to Kava.. The food outlets are available at the spot...

The place is marvellous and the arts are really impressive, visited during Christmas holidays and the place was dreadful, it’s not maintained at all, mostly abandoned places where young couples were romantically involved. Can’t take children here, adults have nothing to enjoy. Definitely not worth the 25rs.

♿❌ , 🚗🏍️✔️, 🚮✔️, 🚰❌ Rock Garden at Malampuzha is a unique attraction, filled with beautifully crafted rock sculptures that showcase creativity and artistry. Walking through the garden is a delightful experience, with each corner offering something interesting and picturesque. It’s a place that blends art with nature, making it a memorable visit. However, the main drawback is the maintenance. With better upkeep, the Rock Garden could truly shine as a world-class attraction. Despite this, the overall experience is very good, and it’s definitely worth visiting for its artistic charm and cultural value.
Roopesh K — Google review
Very beautiful place. All the rock sculpture are well planned and crafted. also some are made with damaged fuses, elcb, switches, pin insulators. It's a must visit place. But not well maintained.
Anju S — Google review
Worst maintenance. They could enhance the place’s beauty, especially since they’re charging ₹50 as an entry fee. But inside, there’s nothing impressive because of poor upkeep.
Akanksha M — Google review
Unique and surprisingly cool! I wasn't really sure what to expect from the Rock Garden at Malampuzha, but it turned out to be a really interesting place! It's super unique because everything is made from broken ceramics, bangles, industrial waste, and other discarded materials. The sculptures are really creative and you keep spotting new details as you walk around. It's not a huge place, but it's definitely worth a visit if you're in the Malampuzha area, especially after seeing the dam. It's a great example of how art can be made from anything, and it's pretty inspiring. Good for a leisurely stroll and some cool photos. Definitely a different kind of garden experience.

I like very much, This idea is very very good. And I have share some suggestions, some area not maintaining properly, that's is a negative, otherwise everything ok.

Ameeras food court in Palakkad is a stunning and tidy establishment, furnished with elegant lamps and high-quality furniture. The restaurant boasts of exceptional items displayed outside. I relished a delectable dish of beef rice accompanied by pepper chicken gravy, which was expertly prepared and thoroughly enjoyable. The service staff were exceedingly courteous, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Additionally, the washrooms were impeccably clean, emphasizing their commitment to hygiene.
Me and my wife visit this place. Quit and neat place. With warm lamps and quality furniture the place is so beautiful. The special items are already given out side. We ordered beef rice with pepper chicken gravy. The food was so good well cooked beef meat. Service was so polite. And also there washrooms are so hygienic.

This place offers a great ambience and very neat place .Whole place looks very neat and that's the first thing when you check when you enter resturant. They even got a selfie corner to take selfies with friends and family for any occasion . Service is very nice and the staff and all are very good About the food , it was quite average like most good looking hotels , curry was full of masala flavour and porotta was not that soft as I was hoping . Juice was very good and I am very happy on that part. About the payment , for resturant like this when they charge more than usual , they must include all modes of payment , unlucky for me they were not taking cards , which is my most used payment method when traveling.

Had a very bad experience While ordering in Zomato. Worst food I ever had. The quality of the food was very very Poor and the quantity is much poorer than the quality. I went there last week. We ordered Malabar chicken biriyani, Chicken 65, Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Noodles. All are taste good. Quantity wise 1 meal is enough for 2 people. Price is ok according to quality and quantity of food. Good service. 4 wheel Parking space also available there behind the restaurant. On peak hours, availability of parking space is little bit difficult. Overall good experience. One of the recommendable restaurants in Palakkad town.

I used to love visiting this place, but my recent experience was truly disappointing. The food quality has gone down, and the customer service was equally poor, which was surprising given how good it used to be. What was once a favorite spot has now become a letdown, and I genuinely hope they work on improving both food and service.

Decent. That's to put it in one word. Considering we have lot of other restaurants here, it's just decent so if you hungry and want to dine in quick and don't have anywhere else to go, then this is for you. Noorjehan has fallen quite after their Arabian Open Grill burn down and upcoming of other restaurants in town. Normal chicken Biriyani costs 210 including taxes, which I consider costly as it was again decent, nothing special, yet not bad and it's enjoyable.

Biryani restaurant
N M R'S UPTOWN is a popular restaurant located near Coimbatore road, BharathMatha HSS, Sahyadri Colony, Chandranagar Colony, and Palakkad. It offers a remarkable dining experience with exquisite dishes and an impressive ambience. The biriyani is highly recommended for its generous portions of chicken and flavorful taste. Additionally, the restaurant provides ample parking space for customers.
We recently dined at nmr, and the experience was exceptional! The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. We started with the Porotta Beef Roast and Chilly Chicken as starters, and they were absolutely fantastic. The beef roast was tender and flavorful. The porotta was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, The Chilly Chicken was spicy and tangy, with a great balance of flavors. The chicken was cooked to perfection, Both dishes were incredibly delicious and the mini falooda was too refreshing ….it was great way to end our dinner……Highly recommend this place❤️❤️

Visited NMR's Uptown during lunchtime, and as expected, it was very crowded. However, the waiting area had proper seating arrangements, which made the wait manageable. The restaurant itself is quite spacious, with a good number of dining seats and a comfortable ambience. Food Experience: Chicken Cream Soup: Just average — nothing memorable. Hot and Sour Soup: A major disappointment — it had only a strong sauce-like taste with no real depth or balance of flavors. Blue Lagoon Mojito: Another letdown. The taste was off — we managed to drink it, but it wasn’t enjoyable. Mutton Biriyani: Highly overhyped. It was slightly salty and underwhelming overall — not something a true foodie would order again. The accompaniment served with it seemed like a failed attempt at biriyani dalcha but ended up tasting more like sambar, and not in a good way. Beef Fajita: This was the standout dish — flavorful, well-cooked, and worth trying. Pricing & Service: Most items felt overpriced for the taste offered. On the bright side, the service was excellent, and the ambience was pleasant and roomy. Overall Verdict: If you're visiting, it might be better to explore items other than biriyani. While the setting and service are commendable, the food does not always justify the price — except for a few hits like the beef fajita.

If you’re in Palakkad and on the hunt for some mouthwatering biryani, look no further than N M R'S UPTOWN! This delightful biryani restaurant offers a fantastic selection of dishes, including succulent tandoori and a diverse range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Highlights from their menu include the exquisite appam, flavorful stew, and the refreshing falooda. During my visit, Nandha Kumar provided us with excellent recommendations, and I must say, the prawns Manoj curry was nothing short of spectacular when paired with rice and naan. The restaurant itself is clean and spacious, accommodating large groups comfortably, and there is ample parking available, making it easy for visitors to drop by. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between luxury and coziness, creating an inviting space for dining with family or friends. What stood out to me was the friendly staff and the excellent service, which truly enhanced our experience. I had a wonderful dining experience with my family, and I'm pleased to mention that the prices are quite affordable considering the quality of food and service. I can't wait to return for more delightful meals in the future. For anyone visiting Palakkad, don’t miss out on the opportunity to indulge in a meal at N M R'S UPTOWN—you won’t regret it!

One of the best restaurant in Palakkad, the quantity, quality and the taste of the food was awesome. I were visited this place 3 times 1st with family and it was a wonderful time and other two times with my friends (I have recommended this place to them by my previous experience from here) we're tasted NMR chicken biriyani, Mexican alpham, various types of Nans, porotta etc. and all are best in class quality. But during the last visit we got a uncleaned and un washed tumbler for serving drinking water, this will be somewhat disappointing, please be some more concious about the cleanliness of the cutlery. Otherwise everything was fine,

An Absolute Culinary Gem in Palakkad! A Must-Visit! If you're looking for an authentic and incredible South Indian dining experience in Palakkad, look no further than N M R'S UPTOWN. This place isn't just a restaurant; it's an institution, and the crowd waiting outside is the first clue to the magic that happens inside! Yes, we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but let me tell you, it was worth every second. The buzz of a full restaurant is always a good sign, and it built up our anticipation perfectly. We started our feast with a soup. It was good, a warm and comforting beginning, but it was merely the opening act for the symphony of flavors that was to follow. Then came the Fish & Chips. Oh my goodness! I have to call it out specifically because it was, without a doubt, one of the best versions I have ever had. Perfectly crispy, flaky fish on the inside – absolutely amazing! But the true stars of the show were the main courses. We ordered the legendary Rawuthar Biriyani, the Calicut Biriyani, and the Murg Lababdar. Words almost fail me. Each dish was a masterpiece. The biriyanis were aromatic, with perfectly cooked, flavorful rice and tender meat that just fell off the bone. The Murg Lababdar was rich, creamy, and packed with spice. It was all absolutely finger-licking good! There is no other way to describe it. We cleaned our plates completely, savoring every last grain of rice. The crew deserves a special shoutout. Despite being incredibly busy, they were pleasant, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Is it a bit more expensive than some other places? Perhaps. But is it worth every single rupee? ABSOLUTELY. The quality of the food, the portion sizes, and the overall experience justify the price completely. N M R'S UPTOWN has a loyal customer for life. My next trip to Palakkad is already planned around my next meal here. Do not miss this place!

Easily the best biriyanis I have had in a long time. Both the NMR Chicken Biriyani and the Kozhikkoden Mutton Biriyani were absolutely lip smacking. The flavours were spot on and the Chicken and the Mutton were cooked to perfection. We also a serving of Ghee Rice and the Travancore Chicken Fry. Both were awesome but the Travancore Chicken Fry blew our minds. The service was great. The owner of the restaurant kept checking with his customers including us on how the food and the service were, which is top class service. The ambience is great, quite spacious. There is about a 30 min+ wait time, but enough space in the waiting area for a ton of people. Plenty of parking too in their parking lot near the restaurant. Overall, an excellent restaurant. Highly recommended for visitors and residents of Palakkad!

We ordered the NMRS mutton biryani, and it was absolutely delicious! The mutton soup, however, stole the show – it was the highlight of our day. To top it off, we treated ourselves to falooda and refreshing mint tea. The overall experience was phenomenal, and we had an amazing time. Can't wait to come back.

Poor Service Overshadows the Food I'd heard great things about this place, but unfortunately, my visit was a letdown. We arrived at 6:30 a.m., and the first impression was not good, as we were told quite rudely that breakfast wasn't ready. We came back at 7:00 a.m. and ordered. While the food was below average, the real issue was the service. A simple question about a dish's delay was met with silence and a staff member turning their back on us. The entire time, we felt unwelcome. A smile and a bit of courtesy could have made up for the subpar food, but instead, we left feeling completely disappointed. The only positive note was the good filter coffee. This restaurant has a lot of work to do on its customer service.

Dams
Nestled in the picturesque Palakkad district of Kerala, Malampuzha Dam stands as a remarkable engineering feat completed in 1955. This impressive structure creates Kerala's largest reservoir, holding an astounding capacity of 226 million cubic meters. The dam is not just about its functionality; it’s surrounded by breathtaking landscapes that include lush green lawns and vibrant flower beds swaying gently in the breeze, all set against the majestic backdrop of the Western Ghats.
Malampuzha Dam is a perfect spot for a peaceful and refreshing one-day trip! I visited recently and was truly impressed by how well-maintained and scenic the entire area is. The atmosphere is calm and serene, making it a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The walk up to the dam can be a little tiring, especially on a sunny day, but it's completely worth it. As you walk along, you'll find several beautiful photo points, ideal for both nature lovers and casual photographers. The surrounding greenery and water views are just stunning. There are plenty of snack stalls and small eateries near the entrance and around the park area, so you won't have to worry about food. Families with kids will love the children’s park, which is clean and equipped with fun rides and open spaces for kids to enjoy. One of the best parts of the visit was the ropeway ride – it's just ₹70 per person and offers a breathtaking aerial view of the dam, gardens, and the surrounding hills. We took a quick auto ride from the dam to the ropeway station, which was convenient and saved time. The ride itself was smooth, safe, and offered some truly Instagram-worthy views! If you're in or around Palakkad, Malampuzha Dam is definitely worth visiting for a relaxed one-day outing with family or friends. It’s got the right mix of nature, fun, and local charm. Would love to go back again!

Scenic beauty, especially during sunset: The dam offers beautiful views, particularly at sunset, with the surrounding greenery and reservoir expanding across a large area. Heavy rainfall makes the dam fuller and enhances the visual experience,

Not well maintained at all. The ropeway was ok. If you want to go on the dam, tickets are available at park gate which no one told us so we walked all the way and then had to leave since we didn't have tickets. Park is very badly maintained with most of the attractions in a very bad state. Overall, an average visit.

Malampuzha Dam is truly a gem in Kerala, and my recent visit left me amazed at how much beauty and variety this place offers. Nestled at the foothills of the Western Ghats, the dam is surrounded by lush greenery and serene hills, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers, families, and anyone looking to relax. The dam itself is an impressive structure, and the view from the top is breathtaking—especially during sunset when the golden light reflects off the vast reservoir. The surrounding gardens are very well maintained, colorful, and perfect for a peaceful stroll or family picnic. The famous Yakshi sculpture adds a unique cultural touch and is a must-see landmark inside the garden. For those who enjoy adventure, the ropeway ride over the gardens and water is a thrilling experience that gives you a bird’s-eye view of the entire dam and the scenic backdrop of the mountains. There are also boating options available, which make the visit even more memorable. What stood out to me most was how the place blends natural beauty with well-planned attractions. There’s something here for everyone—whether it’s photography enthusiasts, families with kids, or couples looking for a quiet, romantic escape. Overall, Malampuzha Dam is more than just a dam—it’s a complete experience of nature, culture, and fun. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Palakkad or nearby areas. Make sure to keep at least half a day to fully enjoy everything this wonderful spot has to offer.

Nestled within the verdant expanse of Malampuzha Gardens in Kerala, the Yakshi Statue stands as a stunning testament to artistic brilliance. Crafted by renowned sculptor Kanai Kanhiraman in 1969, this modern figure sculpture is hewn from a single granite block and reaches an impressive height of 30 feet. The statue embodies the enchanting spirit of Yakshi, a mythological female nature deity celebrated for her beauty and grace.

The Yakshi Statue The Yakshi Statue is one of the most popular sculptures of Kerala which is regarded as an artistic wonder by lovers of art. The statue is located in the Malampuzha Gardens and attracts millions of visitors every year. The statue, placed at the backdrop of mountain ranges and lush green gardens, offers a visual treat to the spectator. Yakshi, a mythological figure, was sculpted by Kanayi Kunhiraman, one of the most famous sculptors of Kerala, in the year of 1969. The statue is colossal in size and is created out of a single section of rock. The skillfulness and the creativity behind the statue are remarkable, and it leaves the spectator spellbound. It is one of the must-see attractions in Malampuzha and can be combined with a trip to the damsite and gardens. Evenings spent in the Malampuzha Gardens are made spectacular by the presence of this magnificent marvel carved out of stone. Yakshi, a 30-foot tall nude statue which has been one of the biggest tourist attractions in Kerala's Palakkad District is getting a makeover, 50 years after it was installed. The Yakshi statue is located in Malampuzha Gardens, near the Malampuzha Dam, one of the well known tourist spots in the area. The statue of the demigoddess depicts her in a voluptuous posture with her hair unlocked and legs stretching forward with eyes half-opened. The iconic statue which has now become synonymous with Malampuzha was sculpted by legendary sculpture Kanayi Kunhiraman in the year 1969. Kunhiraman who sculpted the enchanting statue at the age of 30 is now busy giving a facelift to one of his most celebrated works at the age of 81. According to PTI, Kunhiraman wants to give the 30 ft-structure bronze plating to help it withstand the test of time and keep it for the posterity without any damage. “If there is bronze plating, it will last for a long period without any damage.I have conveyed my wish to the government and awaiting a favourable reply from them,” he told PTI. Yakshi, which is now celebrated as one of the finest pieces of art had its fair share of controversies. In the 1960s, unsurprisingly, people were not so excited to have a giant naked statue in the neighbourhood. It was in 1968, the Kerala Irrigation Department entrusted Kunhiraman who had just returned from London to install a statue in the garden as a tourist attraction. It is said that initially Kunhiraman was planning to build a Nandi statue there, but later came up with the idea of Yakshi, after observing one of the hills in the valley, which he felt resembled a woman lying with her tresses flowing. After he began sculpting and the news spread about the nude statue, Kunhiraman feced protests and even threats from locals who were opposed to the idea. Unfazed, Kunhiraman and his team continued their work and completed the statue which has since become an identity of Malampuzha. “Yakshi is the first such bold attempt to bring the sculptures of women out of the walls of temples. So far, women sculptures could be seen on the temple walls only,” Kunhiraman said. Photos by Viswas Menon © Viswas Menon Write up compiled by Viswas Menon

Malampuzha Ropeway Station is located within the picturesque Malampuzha Garden in Palakkad district, South India. it was a really nice experience. As far as I know, this is the only ropeway available in South India, which makes it a unique attraction. The ride lasts about 20 minutes, and the views are beautiful. We went around 4:30 PM, and there was a queue, so it’s better to reach a bit early to avoid waiting. I took a VIP pass, and the ticket price was about ₹380 for 3 persons, which I felt was quite reasonable for the experience. Overall, it’s a memorable and unique activity in Palakkad, and definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.

Nice experience on the rope car which takes you above the Malampuzha dam's gardens along the dam. Nice view of the dam, the garden and the canal with gushing waters. Two people per car. Takes about 20 min. The car does not stop on boarding and deboarding and we have to board/deboard as the car is moving which makes it slightly difficult for the elderly.

The ropeway ride offers a stunning aerial view of the dam, the sparkling waterfalls, and the lush green surroundings. Gliding smoothly over the landscape, you’ll also get a bird’s-eye view of the famous Snake Garden and the iconic Yakshi statue, which looks even more striking from above. The ride is short but memorable, with well-maintained cabins and a calm, safe experience. It’s perfect for families, couples, and solo travelers alike. The staff was courteous, and the ticketing process was quick and hassle-free. What sets this place apart is the combination of natural beauty, artistic heritage, and fun, all wrapped into one ride. Whether you're an adventure lover or someone looking to enjoy the peaceful charm of Malampuzha, this ropeway is a must-try. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Palakkad or nearby areas. Legend has it that the main deity, Goddess Hemambika, promised to reveal herself to a devoted follower who kept it a secret. Unfortunately, the follower couldn't contain his excitement and shared the news with others.
Legend Regarding Goddess Hemambika Known as EMOOR BHAGAVATHY SRI EMOOR BHAGAVATHI DEVASWAM - KALLEKULANGARA. It is believed that four Ambika Temples Goddess Balambika at Cape-Comerin Goddess Lokambika at Loakanarkavu near Badagara, Goddess Mookambika at Mangalore and Goddess Hemambika at Palakkad were consecrated by Parashurama for the safety of Kerala, the Land of recovered from the Sea. The God’s Own Country Kerala and its devotees are always highly blessed with unstinting benedictions of her Highness. About 15 KM away from the present Malampuzha reservoir, in the inaccessible valley of the dense Vadamala forest, a section of the Western Ghats(Paschima Ghatta), locally known as Muthikulam, Mudiyolambi, Aduppukootty, Poonkavanam etc., there was a divine shrine of Goddess Durga. The legend says that Kurur and Kaimukku Nampoothiris used to visit this holey place daily for worship, crossing the protected tempestuous mountains tracks on naked feet. Years passed on without any change in their daily routine. One day while returning home after worship, due to the vagaries of old age, they were forced to take rest under a tree. An old woman appeared before them and gave them some sweet fruits which they gladly accepted. They were suddenly relived of their fatigue and felt surprisingly refreshed. These two ardent devotees on their journey next day, reached near the tree to find a huge elephant standing before them. Beside the elephant they had the ‘Darshan’ of the golden coloured Goddess. From that day onwards, they started worshipping the Goddess under the tree. Kurur was incapacitated by old age and found it difficult to carry out the daily routine of worship in the mountain. One night, Goddess papered before him in his dream and consoled him that she will be seen in the pond near his house and can worship her there. Early next morning the radiant devotees rushed towards the pond and found two beautiful hands coming out of water in the middle of the lake. Kurur, on his excitement, jumped into the pond, swam to the centre and caught of hold of the hands. Immediately, the hands turned into stone, becomes stationary. The Kallekulangara, where the temple is situated, derives its name from this incident. With the help of the friend Kaimukku Kuru worshipped the hands. The present temple was constructed by filling the lake around those divine hands. The Five Ponds surrounding the temple amply prove that the temple was constructed on the land reclaimed from the lake. Kurur instructed the local ruler, Shekhari Verma Valiya Raja of Palakkad for commencing the work of constructing the temple. To-day, the Executive Officer, appointed by the Malabar Devaswom Board looks after the day to-day administration of the temple. It was Aadi Shankara who brought an order in the mode of daily worship and decided upon the different offerings to the deity. The Goddess is worshipped as Saraswathy in the Morning, as Lakshmi at Noon and as Durga in Evening. The very old Shiva Temple of Chendamangalam and the Shiva and Shastha Temple of Easwaramangalam are in the vicinity of Hemambika Temple which have greatly contributed to the sanctity of place. Besides the major festivals of Dassara, Shivarathri, Mandala Pooja, Easwaraseva etc., and many holy days are systematically celebrated here. Important offerings to the Goddess are Naivilakku (Ghee Lamp), Kalabham (Sandal Paste), Chathussatham, Naipayasam etc., Hemambika Sanskrit High School, an educational institution of prominence is being run under the guidance of the Devaswom, mainly with a view of propagating and improving the study of sacred language (Deva Bhasha) Sanskrit. One famous Elephant named “Rajagopalan” owned by Kallekulangara Devaswom. The Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are the most auspicious days here. It is presumed that the Deity appears as Saraswathy Devi in the dawn, Lakshmi Devi at noon and Sree Devidurga at dusk and combination of Pooja is conducted with an assumption of the distinctive Bhava Swaroopa of the Goddess.

Excellent temple and it’s likely to be renovated shortly. There’s also a Shiva temple located opposite to this, which can be visited after this. Please do visit this place as this belongs to one of the Shakti Peet. Signifies Hashtam - Hands of Parvati (removes any sense of insecurity & fear within oneself).

Legend has it that EMOOR BHAGAVATHY temple came into being when the Goddess in the dream of a priest, who getting old was finding it increasingly difficult to trek daily to the mountain to worship her, was told to look into his pond next morning, where he saw two hands coming out in the middle. These hands turned to stone the moment he swam towards it and touched them. This also gave the name Kallekulangara to this place. The idol that is worshipped is these two hands and its said that late PM Smt Indira Gandhi too has come and worshipped here

Nestled in the lush greenery of Palakkad, Dhoni Waterfalls is a captivating hiking destination that promises an adventure through nature. To reach this serene spot, visitors embark on an 8-9 km trek through enchanting forests, guided by local forest officers who ensure safety along the way. The journey offers a tranquil atmosphere where one can appreciate the beauty of nature, although caution is advised due to potential wildlife encounters like leopards and elephants.
I visited Dhoni Waterfalls on a weekend, and it was super crowded. Still, the water flow was strong and impressive, which made the experience worth it. Along the way, you’ll come across small ponds and even a few dams. I spotted a little stream-like dam where we stopped, sat for a while, and just enjoyed the calm surroundings. The trail itself is easy and enjoyable, you don’t really have to hike much to reach the waterfall. My suggestion would be to avoid weekends if possible and plan a weekday visit instead, when it’s less crowded. It’s a really beautiful spot to relax and spend some peaceful time in nature.

This location is perfect for trekking and nature enthusiasts. To reach the waterfall, you will need to walk 4 km. The ticket costs ₹120 per person, and there are only two guided groups each day, departing at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM. It’s advisable to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. The authorities could have provided better washroom facilities for tourists.

Nice trekking journey for 4km with local guide. Beautiful waterfall at the top. Bathing allowed, but should be more careful. Only two batches allowed per day 10.30AM n 1.30 PM. So plan accordingly.

It is an intense trekking place for forest, stream and waterfall lovers. Dhoni is a place to visit at least once if you are interested in seeing elephants and wild animals, silent forests and a 3hrs walk in the forest breathing pure oxygen.

Nice location. Water level can cary between seasons. It's good from July to October. Then water level reduces. Clear water. Nice place for a dip. Very cold water. This place can only be accessed after hiking of 4 kms uphill . You will need to go with a guide from Forrest department..you can't go alone. There are tickets as well. Call them to get the timings. The last session of the day is at 1 pm
Muneer A — Google review
This place is great for a weekend hike. You need to get a ticket from the counter for 120 ₹. The hike happens as batches, one at 10:30AM and the other starts at 1:30PM. It's 8km in total to and fro to trek. There will be a guide & two dogs accompanying you during the hike. Carry water and snacks if needed. Please don't throw plastics in the forest. Note: Please call and confirm before visiting as they might be closed in-between days. Also go half an hour before the batch starts because if members in a batch go more than a certain number, they will close the gate and will only allow you to attend the next batch.

A Jungle Adventure to Dhoni Waterfalls Embarking on the 4km trek to Dhoni Waterfalls was an absolute adventure must for nature lovers!! The journey through the lush, green forest was nothing short of magical. The canopy overhead created a cool, shaded path, while the sounds of nature provided a soothing soundtrack. Every turn revealed a new wonder - from vibrant flora to glimpses of wildlife.Monsoon season transforms the falls into a roaring spectacle, but be extra cautious due to slippery rocks. The anticipation of reaching the waterfalls kept spirits high. While the trek was challenging at times, the reward was undeniably worth it. Remember to respect the forest by not littering and sticking to the trails. The waterfall can be dangerous, so always follow your guide's instructions. It's a challenging but rewarding hike, so wear comfortable shoes and carry water. The final sight of Dhoni Waterfalls cascading down the rocks was breathtaking. It's an experience that nature lovers and adventure seekers shouldn't miss!

Nestled in the serene Vandazhi village of Alathur taluk, Kerala, the Mangalam Dam stands as a testament to engineering and natural beauty. Constructed primarily for irrigation purposes under the Mangalam Irrigation Project, this dam spans across the Cherukunnapuzha tributary and was completed in 1956, with its canal system opening in 1966.
“A wonderful spot for a peaceful day out with family or friends. Mangalam Dam offers beautiful views of the reservoir and surrounding greenery, with a nice walkway and a kids’ play area. The watchtower provides stunning panoramic views. The place is well-maintained, affordable, and easily accessible by public transport. Best visited post-monsoon to see the dam in full flow. A calm and scenic retreat perfect for nature lovers. Just a heads-up: avoid visiting in peak summer due to heat. Overall, Mangalam Dam is a peaceful getaway for relaxation, photography, and enjoying nature’s beauty. Visitors are encouraged to avoid plastics to maintain the cleanliness of the premises

A good place to hangout with family and friends for hours but lacks even basic infrastructure facilities. The approach roads at entrance, interior walkways, children play area and vew point area are not maintained at all.The dam's atmosphere definitely needs proper maintenance to attract more people. Children's park almost damaged, Reservoir is almost fully dry.
Isahak A — Google review
If you haven't been here, you've missed something. Some visionary had the sense to build a beautiful walkway around the lake with a nicely laid out park and children's play area. But it has seen better days, and now looks run down and in a state of disrepair. Hence 4 stars. You'll still be charged 80/- (not sure whether it was for the car or 2 adults). Once you get tickets at the gate, drive until you arrive at the designated car park. There is a washroom facility at the car park. Plan to spend an hour or two there. The silence, the birds, and the scenery against the backdrop of the hills is out of this world! The dam itself is a small affair.
Ranjiv K — Google review
Not a fan of dams. But this one is different. Such a serene place full of greenery. We visited during monsoon and it was quite windy. Not crowded at all. We got to spend an entire evening there and the nature was so beautiful. Entry fee is reasonable. Plenty of parking space available. Some infrastructure was damaged and not at all maintained i guess. However i really liked the vibe around there. It really lightens the mood. Definitely gonna visit again.

The dam is located nearly 50 km from Thrissur and 14 km from Vadakkenchery town. Mangalam Dam is a beautiful spot tucked away in a truly picturesque location. The surroundings, with the jungle embracing the reservoir, create a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. The scenic view of the water against the lush green backdrop really uplifts the vibe. I visited this place during one of my business-cum-trekking trips, and it turned out to be a perfect mix of work and nature escape. There is a 20rs entry fee. A great place to spend a day peacefully

Quiet and cam place. Little inside , but road ok ok. Have children playing area ,View galary .. place to sit and watch water . Ticket:30 rs . Parking free .
Jophy J — Google review
The ticket price is ₹30. The experience is quite enjoyable, and the site is easily accessible by car, with car parking and toilet facilities available. However, there are no canteen facilities within the dam premises. The area features a children's park, an adult park, and a walking path alongside the dam. The view is excellent, and although the equipment has been newly installed, maintenance is lacking. Boating facilities are available but currently non-operational.

Nice place to hang out and have nice viewing points. But the maintenance of the garden and park equipment is poor. A place with great potential for tourism if maintained properly and marketed.

Shawarma restaurant
Oh My Hunger - Resto Cafe, located near Kendriya Vidyalaya in Palakkad, is renowned for its delectable shawarmas. The cafe offers a variety of shawarma rolls with generous fillings, served in either Kubbus or Rumali rotti. Customers praise the quantity and quality of the shawarmas, emphasizing that they are satisfying both to the stomach and the palate. The ambience and service at this establishment are also highly commended.
One of the finest Shawarma factory in Palakkad. Located near KV Rly colony. Provides a variety of shawarma rolls in either Kubbus or Rumali rotti with a lot of fillings in it. Quantity and quality are too good it can fill ur stomach as well aa your mind. Good ambience and services. I have tried Juicy shawarma and cheesy shawarma. Both were heavily filled and the taste was excellent. Have also tried beef shawarma in the past which made me a fan of this cafe. Must try.

Ordered a plate Shavarma with kubboos and got only shawarma with rumali roti since kubboos weren't available which they didn't say at first, this is forgivable. But the shawarma wasn't even hot, and after eating my stomache felt weird for a long time and now I feel like the chicken might have been old which I am not sure. Overall the taste was average.

"Disappointing experience at Oh My Hunger Cafe railway colony! I recently ordered the whole meat shawarma plate, but sadly, the quality was very poor and the taste was very bad. I've been a fan of Oh My Hunger since 2 years ago, when their shawarma was incredibly tasty and the quality was top-notch. But now, it seems like they've compromised on both. The meat was dry and flavorless, and the overall experience was a letdown. I hope they go back to their old recipe and quality standards!" Missing the old Oh My Hunger!"

The Meenwallam Water Falls is exceptionally sanitary and meticulously looked after. The water exhibits remarkable transparency, allowing visitors to take a dip. Unfortunately, at present, there are no facilities for changing clothes. Admission costs 20 rupees per person, while parking is complimentary. For an additional 120 rupees per person, guided trekking tours are offered. Although there is a small catering establishment on the premises, it remains closed during the festive occasion of Onam.
Best place near Palakkad to have a day trip. Cool waters and safe place to enjoy with kids. The water level is less during the month of December. The road to the place is in a bit of bad condition but manageable. Parking is average. Need to walk almost 700mts to reach the main waterfall. You can only see the waterfall cannot enter or swim there. You can swim only downstream

Best place for a one day trip with family or friends. Safe for couples too. The water is not so deep, even children can also enjoy. People are not allowed to bath in the main falls but can enjoy bathing on the water flow which makes it special.
Ashwin P — Google review
Meenvallam Waterfalls is a hidden gem tucked away amidst lush greenery, offering visitors a refreshing escape from the bustle of city life. The journey to the falls itself is an adventure, with narrow paths winding through dense forests and rolling hills. As you approach, the sound of cascading water grows louder, building anticipation for the stunning sight that awaits. The waterfall is not overly crowded, making it a perfect spot for those who enjoy nature's tranquility. The clear water tumbling down the rocks creates a mesmerizing sight, while the surrounding vegetation adds to the serene atmosphere. The natural pool at the base is ideal for a relaxing dip, though visitors are advised to be cautious, especially during the monsoon season when the water flow is stronger. Photography enthusiasts will find Meenvallam Waterfalls a great location, with picturesque landscapes, misty air, and dramatic rock formations. The site is also a wonderful place for a family picnic or a quiet retreat with friends. However, basic amenities like restrooms and food stalls are limited, so it’s best to come prepared. Overall, Meenvallam Waterfalls offers a pristine and calming experience, perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Its untouched beauty and peaceful environment leave a lasting impression. Whether you’re looking to unwind, explore, or simply appreciate the wonders of nature, this destination is worth a visit and promises a rejuvenating escape.

Water was so clear and I could see lot of families enjoying their weekend. I couldn’t find any dress changing rooms here. So make sure you wear a very light sports t-shirt and a pant, so that the water dries quickly. But the place is lovely, you can also see a lot of rubber plantations on both sides of the road.

Restaurant
Momo & Me Palakkad is a must-visit for Momo enthusiasts. The cheese corn Momo is highly recommended, available in both fried and steamed options. Even though Thukpa may not be on the menu, they are willing to prepare it upon request and it's full of flavorful spices. The French fries are just average but lack salt. Despite being a bit pricey, the quality and taste of their menu items like soups, noodles, and drinks are top-notch.
Great food and reasonable price. The momos, soup and the fried rice were very good. The service was quick and the quantity was sufficient for 1 person.
Bindu N — Google review
The Corn & Cheese Momo was delicious, and the Broccoli, Cheese, and Walnut Momo was the standout, with a perfect blend of flavors. The Veg Tupka (Tibetan Soup) was comforting and flavorful, and the Corn & Cheese Dumpling with Rice (which comes with 4 momos – 2 steamed and 2 fried) was good, though I preferred the steamed ones over the fried. However, the Virgin Mojitos (Pineapple and Blue Curacao) were a disappointment – both tasted artificial, overly sweet, and had a strange flour-like texture, with dye staining the straw. Overall, the food was great, but I'd skip the drinks.

Good place for Momos and Chinese varieties in Palakkad. All items we had tasted good and service was also very good. The place is a bit small but there are lot of options to choose from and they prepare hot and delicious food within their compact kitchen. Good place if you like Indo Chinese cuisine.
Aravind V — Google review
We ordered a family combo along with salads, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The chicken salad we received was clearly not fresh — it was cold, hard, and had a strong, unpleasant smell, like it had been stored in the fridge for days. We immediately informed the manager, who took it back and said they’d serve us kimchi instead. But what came next was not kimchi at all. They reused the same spoiled chicken, tossed it in an overpowering sauce, and added raw cabbage — definitely not the pickled kimchi we expected. The smell and taste were so strong, it made us feel nauseous. It honestly felt like they were trying to cover up bad food instead of correcting the mistake. Reheating and serving spoiled meat is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the momos we ordered were served in a cheap, use-and-throw paper box — the kind you’d expect in takeout, not dine-in. This felt disrespectful, especially when we’re sitting in a restaurant and paying full menu prices. If the presentation and quality are going to be that basic, then it should reflect in your pricing as well. Overall, this was a very poor experience in terms of food quality, hygiene, and how the staff handled the situation. Definitely not what you expect when dining out. Attached are the picture & video that confirms that they used the same chicken in salad to make their so called kimchi salad. Also, if you don’t know how to make kimchi’s even after kimchi being your one popular dish in the menu, pathetic! I used to be their regular customer and not again. They have gone way too poor in terms of quality and hygiene!

British Bridge in Palakkad is a historic and picturesque landmark, built in 1852 during the time of A.B. Robinson, the Collector of Malabar. Although no longer used for vehicles, it offers a charming walking experience with stunning views of vibrant blue water reflecting its color during the day. The bridge exudes a rich historical ambiance and is perfect for capturing beautiful photos.
Good vibe during the evening. The approaching road is completely having potholes and is damaged. Good place to go for a ride in 2 wheelers. The view of the river and the canal is amazing. A must visit small place in Palakkad. The drive through the canal is very nice.

The Beauty can be experienced at best at morning and evening time. Name was British bridge but actually it was not built by British Empire but the name given because of its architecture design of the British engineering model. But till now it was stay as a stronger than any aqueduct or bridge which built after 90s. The view of bridge was heart warming one. A centre water flowing channel with one side pedestrian path and other side light vehicle passing way. The aqueduct was built for carrying the water from malampuzha dam to other areas.

I visited the British-built bridge in Palakkad, and the side view is truly stunning. The vibrant blue water perfectly reflects the bridge's color during the day, creating a mesmerizing sight. The bridge has a rich historical feel, and while it's no longer used for vehicle transport, it offers a delightful walking experience. My favorite part was capturing its beauty in a photo – it's undoubtedly the highlight of my collection. Highly recommended for those who appreciate historical charm and picturesque landscapes.❤️‍🩹

A good relaxation point in Padalikkad area. Mornings and evenings will be the apt time to fully enjoy the views here. Thie bridge construction was done by our engineers and designed by British architects. Only small vehicles upto mini vans can pass through this point. The canal originated from Malampuzha dam and flows through paddy fields. Recommended for friends and family outings. Approach roads near canal is bit bad with potholes and bumps.
Jibin M — Google review
Its a beautiful and instagramable spot in Palakkad. When water is released through canals its look so wonderful and peace. Before it was really quite and relaxed but now during evening its bit crowded over there.Road to this spot was poorly maintained. This place can be the best attraction in Palakkad if we maintained properly

Good food, and they are providing door delivery also to nearby places. The price is comparatively less. Dining area is little congestion. Only 10-12 people can sit at a time.. Otherwise all is good.
Hafeez A — Google review
I ordered a Shawai from here through Swiggy. The chicken was not fresh. It tasted really bad. I complained at the Swiggy customer care and shared photos of it. They provided me a partial refund.

I visited Arabian Grill House in Meparab, and it was an amazing experience! The mandi and alfam were super tasty and full of flavor. The food was fresh, well-cooked, and nicely served. A perfect spot for mandi lovers — really worth the visit!

Tried Biriyani , Porotta , Beef , Honey alfham & Pathiri 1 . Beef Biriyani was Average 2. Porotta and Beef are not Good , Beef is not Tasty 3.Honey Alfham Was not Taste as it names - Chicken taste as Rubber and without any Honey Flavor Special Salute to The Mayonnaise - Superb tasty and its taste like it was made 02 days before. Never ever Try Mayonise From there Hygeine - The drinking glass it self having Yellow shades and the drinking water smell is Very bad . "NOT YET RECOMEND AS A FOOD SPOT"

I ordered takeaway and was told my food would be ready in 10 minutes. However, I ended up waiting for almost an hour to receive my order. It would have been appreciated if they had provided a more accurate estimate or kept us informed about the delay. This experience was quite disappointing.
Muhammed R — Google review
The restaurant offers a decent dining experience overall. The quality of the food is just okay — not too bad, but nothing extraordinary either. One major drawback is the lack of proper parking space, which can be quite inconvenient, especially during peak hours. Additionally, the prices here are slightly on the higher side compared to other restaurants offering similar dishes. While the ambiance and staff are satisfactory, the overall experience doesn’t quite justify the cost. It's a decent place if you're nearby, but not something worth going out of your way for.
Leo P — Google review
Good Arabian food available here. Seating is okay with less space. They do have home delivery. Behavior to customers have to be more in good manner. Atmosphere and ambience is okay. Recommended only for Arabian food.
Jibin M — Google review
We were 9 people there... 4 people got food after waiting for sometime... The other 5 people... There was no sign of we getting the food... We step out from there with heavy starving and anger ... The employees there never cared or asked... Very bad service... Not suggesting such a place with no customer care
Chaapri U — Google review
Delivery was all good and being a very very regular customer, i ordered fried rice yesterday.. ngl,it was so salty.. felt like leftover food was heated nd given.. kindly see to that. Alfhm was okay 👍
Chandrika M — Google review
Food is good, i am a regular customer but one day i ordered full kuzhimandi and a full alfham, i just asked for some gravy as parcel but the reply of the guy on the bill section was like giving something to a beggar, so i paid extra money for the gravy and i asked him to take the kuboos back so he can be happy with that, but the food is good. Behaviour of the guy only matters

Small, but nice joint for a quick bite. People here are friendly, and I love that. Food too is tasty. A lot of improvement can be done. Only drawback is that they don't have a proper restroom. One which they have is just ok.
Sunil M — Google review
Way to Coimbatore we had chicken biriyani from Moms and must say that it was awesome. The combination was really good, well cooked with good quality rice and the chicken was also tender. We all enjoyed it.
KARTHI K — Google review
At first, the biriyani was good. But now, it's all the same just like other small hotels. An average hotel. That's all.
Sarath S — Google review
