Taman Safari Indonesia Bogor is a safari park that houses animals from 5 continents and offers separate day and night excursions. Visitors can interact with wild animals, take pictures with them, and even ride some of them. The upscale zoo provides a unique experience of observing wild animals from the comfort of a car or bus.
I feel like Taman Safari (any locations) always been my best zoo experience. I like the safari journey where we can just drive around the animals enclosure and interact with them. this time, instead of driving a private car, we took the bus service and it was super fun cause we got the whole bus for ourselves. we got to see almost all the animals. unfortunately we don't get to see any of the shows cause of our limited time. but everything was fun and enjoyable. staff are also nice and helpful, they even pick us up in a private car to get us from the bus shuttle place to the resort. finally got to see panda and red panda irl as well!

Quite interesting place because one it was super busy too. It’s well maintained three as a lot of attractions once you’re in and it’s really well laid out. Transportation is great lots of restaurants lots of things for the kids to do and I really enjoyed the whole environment.
I think the safari has been renovated recently! And it looks great, only went through car though since we didn’t have much time but the smaller, on-foot attraction was great. Tip: make sure to buy lots of carrots from the street vendors nearing the entrance to feed the free roam animals inside

I had an amazing experience at Taman Safari! The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the visit smooth and enjoyable.
Everything was well-organized, and the animals looked healthy and well cared for.

Plenty of animals to see, kids must love feeding the animals experience. Shows also pretty good. Avoid come in the weekend however they have more Shows in the weekend and rides also open as it should.

The park itself has potential, but it was far too crowded during my visit. The safari tour wasn’t enjoyable because there were simply too many cars and people allowed in at the same time, which made the experience feel rushed and congested. The kids’ entertainment area was okay, and there’s a good variety of food options. However, overall the park feels overfilled, which really takes away from what could be a great experience.
Great experience with the animals... the closest ever interaction with animal like zebras, deers, oryx, hippo and many more just beyond the car window. Glad to see these animals in good shape & healthy, the zoo management really does take good care of them. We did not manage to visit the whole area due to rain after cowboy show but it really worth to spent a full day here.

It's a fun place to bring kids to. There are plenty of activities to do, including horseback riding, riding a train made of tin drums, riding duck-shaped boats on the lake, archery, feeding cows, riding various types of bicycles, and much more.
The entrance ticket costs 25,000, which includes a complimentary drink to enjoy after participating in the activities.
There is a fairly large restaurant and souvenir kiosks available.
The restroom and prayer room are also quite spacious and clean. Overall, it's a pleasant place for a vacation.

Other activities mostly for kids like flying fox, but you can enjoy walking around with great scenery. Also beautiful flowers!

A big farm resto, good place to take family and kids. The menus are standard and there are many food street tenant. The special thing is they have a large yard with concept as a farm, which is good for kidz coz they also can feeding the animals there. Over all, it’s good place to bring family there, especially during this pandemic coz have outdoor room 😉
Many years ago i think the ranch was one of favorit destination at Puncak area. But nowadays, very empty. We can have lunch or some outdoor activities here, such as feeding rabbits, cycling, playing human baloon, traditional archery, and many more. The main activity here is riding horse, we can choose big horse for adult (40k) or ponny for kids (35k). We can spend time here around 2-3 hours.
First visit still during the pandemic. Not so many people which is good, as I heard it was too crowded before the pandemic.
Take a package of riding horse will give you a saving as it costs 50k (including entry fee and free a cup of fresh milk) - compared to separated fee for riding horse which is 40k.
Nice view and clean and tidy, really. One annoying thing is that visitors who didn’t obey the rule to walk in pedestrian; instead they walked through the bike path that put them in a risk of crashing with running bicycles.
Recommended food to taste: pempek. Recommended beverage: bandrek. Others taste so so. The price is affordable for middle income households.
The place is really nice and cozy. Perfect place to bring your whole family and friends. Horse riding and archerry are two main attractive activity. The parking lot are wide and the toilets are clean. You can find many food and snacks here.

I recently visited Riung Gunung in Jakarta and had an incredible experience! The natural beauty and serene atmosphere of this place are truly captivating. The lush greenery and peaceful surroundings made it a perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle. I also want to acknowledge the fantastic travel guide by Jone P. Back to 80's Riung Gunung was the most popular place around Puncak area for youngsters to spend Saturday night. There were a lot of huts selling hot drinks such as tea, coffee, and ginger mixed drinks. A special corn barbecue were also the most favorite menu. Today, as I passed by this place, now it's a public rest area. Though it's not a good spot as it was, Riung Gunung is still the nice place to take a short break.
Puncak is a mountainous tourist area that belongs to the Bogor Regency and Cianjur District, West Java Province. The summit is located 70 km south of Jakarta. The Puncak area is located on the foot and slopes of the Gede-Pangrango mountain range and is mostly part of the Gede Pangrango National Park area. This area is famous as a mountain tourist area for both domestic and foreign tourists. The Puncak area is known as the resting place of Jakarta residents because of its coolness and natural beauty, and is a tea plantation area built by the Dutch colonial government which is currently a tea plantation owned by PT Perkebunan Nusantara VIII Gunung Mas.

New for me to stop by here. Subtitute the old famous one, RINDU ALAM. love the views. Faster service for food and drink, clean, but... You should add more comfortable chairs and table inside room. The food quiet good and the price I think it's common.

They offered may variant of dish, from western, middle east, chinese, and of course local proud Indonesia.
Tried fish and chip, burger, and soto betawi. The taste of their food surprisingly good.
The price might be quite expensive but considering the experience dining with elephant with good quality of food, it was worth to try.

Dairyland Mountain View is a delightful dining destination that boasts a prime location and breathtaking scenery. Nestled in the Leuwimalang area, this restaurant offers stunning mountain landscapes that are sure to refresh your spirit. The menu is impressively diverse, featuring Western dishes, local specialties, and even some Chinese cuisine. This popular spot has become a favorite among visitors, especially on weekends when families flock to enjoy its semi-outdoor setting with panoramic views of lush mountains.
These are my orders, lemme break it down for you:
- fettuccine carbonara: a never wrong option for kids
- the ribs: take ages to be served but it’s nice and tender
- fresh milk: it’s basically the Cimory fresh milk
The view is quite nice, especially of you get a seat on the viewing deck. When I visited they’re making an extension deck so it’ll provide more seatings. They also have indoor and outdoor playground for kids. You can buy some Cimory and Chocomory stuff here as well in the dairy shop.

For 2 people, we spent around 200K IDR, The food is tasty, the view is great too.

Very nice and beautiful restaurant and chocolate shop, sell every kind of milk product including chocolate and gelato. Also has small playground in down area for kids to play. The restaurant area is open space, so we can see a beautiful scenery. The choice of food is variety, and they also has best quality sausage. Very recommended to visit here.
Friendly staff. Too pricey. The food is just ok. the chicken wings and the small sausage taste just like frozen food. the ambiance score is 7 out of 10.
Good place to buy chimory products and it has restaurant inside and downstairs it provides kids playground. Kids love to play there and it's free and sorry the photos were taken at night. After a few years, it hasn't been changed.

Day 2
South side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the south side side of town. Start the day off with Taman Wisata Matahari, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Bird Park Royal Safari Garden Resort Cisarua. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Taman Wisata Matahari

Taman Wisata Matahari offers a fun-filled experience for families with its array of kid-friendly water slides, splash pads, and play structures. The outdoor swimming pools provide a refreshing escape from the tropical heat, while the nearby snack bars offer convenient refreshments for visitors to enjoy.
It's now called Enchanting Valley. A nice place to relax and have fun. The toilet was clean and air-conditioned. I came here with my family on off season, so not too crowded.

Did you guys remember how TMIIN in 2010? Yes this place look alike that currently.
There’s still sufficient facility but we cant deny that they not have enough sources to maintain this huge place with just few visitors. I hope they still can survive or evolve to more sustainable business bcs this place is so strategic and potential to attract anyone from everywhere
A huge amusement park (+- 40 Ha) with lots of facilities: water park, agro edutourism, circus, fantasy land, restaurants, markets, etc. There are also villas & bungalows with nature concept inside the park. The ticket starts from IDR 45.000 with complimentary rides: dragon boat, inflatable boat, fantasy land, and discount for lunch at Sunda Express.But note that the toilet are not free & some rides have their own paid tickets. Overall, still recommended. They have a huge parking lot and easily accessible from Puncak main road & Cilember.
Taman Matahari Bogor is a family recreational tourism park that has the motto "Recreation and Education Park". This park has a variety of game zones for families and children that should not be missed. Many activities can be played, from natural themes to the theme of games that are deliberately built for visitors.
These games are not only for adults but also for children and adolescents. The rides provided by Bogor Sun Garden are very diverse. Some of these rides are water tourism rides, game rides, adventure rides and also education.
Water rides, for example, have many zones, including Paddle Boats, Water Bikes, Bumper Boats, and Dragon Boats. Also Waterplay, Kayak Boat, Mini Boat, Fish Therapy Reflection, Children Rowing Boat and Laser Boat Bomber. Meanwhile, for fans of adventurous tours, Bogor Matahari Park also provides many exciting attractions.
Like the Adventure Rides, there are Flying Fox, Motorcycle ATVs, Wara Wiri, Padamoto, Green Car, and Safari Train. For Wahana Games, visitors of children can try Dinopark, Trampoline Park, Mini Gokart, and Citra Playland.
Whereas if you go to an educational vehicle, children can try livestock rides, vegetable meter, and rice field meter. For those who come in groups with friends, can try the Fun Games zone while here.
The rest of the attractions average not very well maintained. But we enjoyed ourselves the rafting activities. choose from two different types of rides here including one which is 600 meters long and the other which is 3 kilometers long.
An affordable and perfect place to spend the weekend, but it's a bit annoying that visitors have to pay more for every stalls that excluded from the entrance ticket.

Also order fish and chips, the breadcrumbs for the fish also seems like the old one and not fresh. Even for fried beehoon the vegetables used also not fresh. Will never go back to this restaurant. It costs me more than 200k for only those 3 menus. The restaurant area also seemed not get cleaned regularly, i need to ask the staff to clean the desk and the floor. The only good thing abt this place was their friendly staff and good view.

Inside the building there are many kinds of food, you can find big cakue, es durian, sop iga, etc. I really recommend this place. Btw you can make your own sambal. They provide the ingredients, no need to pay.

Cilember Waterfall is a popular destination located in Puncak street, Cilember, Bogor, just 19 km from BogorMatahari Tourism Park. The area features seven waterfalls with heights reaching up to 40 meters. The seventh waterfall is the most visited and is believed to have various efficacies such as being a youthful drug, speeding up the process of finding a soul mate, and curing diseases.
The drive up the mountain was difficult because the road was too narrow, so it took a lot of time every time we met a car going down the mountain, but it was all worth it because the scenery on the mountain was very beautiful, the tall trees were very spectacular, and the climbing distance was also suitable, not too far or too close. There were many travelers camping here, and the water of the waterfall was very cool. It is a highly recommended travel destination.

Beautiful view of the waterfall. It is difficult to climb to the other waterfalls. I stopped at the first waterfall. It was forbidden to use a sniper rifle. It is beautiful and enjoyable. I advise you to take extra clothes for swimming in the first waterfall. You cannot enter with a baby stroller. The way up to the waterfall is tiring. The entrance fee is 83,000.
The bad experience was mostly from the monkeys. The place has 6 waterfalls (the closest one is 7) after that we must hiking for about 30 minutes to reach waterfall 5. I suggest you read the map before take the hiking.
Huge parking lot before the entryway. The ticket is affordable on the weekend. It's a place for a big family who wants to feel the mother nature into the woods. Highly recommended place to visit. And don't forget to use slippers on the rocky way through waterfall on the hill.

A beautiful place that is very well cared for. I trekked to the 2 lower falls with the use of trekking poles. Having recently had a knee operation I needed to stop frequently but it was worth it. For the brave hearted, there is a cycle ride across the gorge.
A must visit. Do take bath and be cautious of slippery stones climbing up and down. Natural beauty you cant miss to see while the whole mountain climb is awesome, if early morning departure you can eat at Amador cafe near by or there are snacks and coffee available at the start of waterfall near parking.
Large tourist attractions. Need to do tracking to enjoy the whole place. Unfortunately, some of the waterfalls at high locations couldn't be visited because of the constraints of wild monkeys that roamed and covered the road. The most beautiful waterfall for me was number five.

The nearest waterfall is Curug 7 which only 10 minutes from entrance gate.. if you want more then ask the local guide to take you to other waterfall (curug 5, 2 or 3) which is need 3 hours hiking.. FUN RIGHT?!

A friend suggested dining here because of it’s great ambience and it did not disappoint. Too bad we were not able to dine in the lake area as it was raining during that time. There was no reservation so you need to come early to get the best seat with a great view.
This restaurant has a very responsive staff answering all your queries via WhatsApp - even sending the menu when I requested for it.
We had spaghetti bolognese, buffalo wings with fries and bebek wayaw. Most of the food are okay but the bebek wayaw was served cold. I do hope that they can improve on this as this is one of their signature dishes.

A beautiful tea farm. Nicely designed. The teahouse was a nice experience to try all the kinds of tea they are growing or processing. They sell them nicely packaged. A nice getaway spot with cool weather, green scenary and far from the city's population.You had to pay twice at the Entrance and tickets to the tea bridge but they all were affordable. The place wasn't that big so taking turn to take pictures with other visitors would be a common thing. Other facilites like restaurants, toilets and praying room still feels like a bit old, like we were in the 80's era. If you're looking for a quite place to enjoy unfortunetly this is not the location due to many young family came with their toddlers. This place can get very hectic during the weekends so weekdays visits are preffered! New rainbow slide besides the brigde was brand new with separated ticket, you definitely wouldn't wanna miss!

The view is awesome, the room for the Heha Suite is minimalist and cozy but unfortunately the water heater is just for 15L and we have to wait until 20-30 minutes if you want an extra water heater. The food is good. The service is nice

Train Baby Zoo Safari Park, located in Cisarua, Indonesia, offers a variety of attractions for visitors. Children can enjoy activities like horse riding and kite flying while adults can relax at the tea shops nearby. One of the main highlights is the opportunity to interact with baby animals and take pictures with them, although this comes at an additional cost.
I had an amazing time at the Baby Zoo inside Taman Safari Indonesia. There are so many activities to do, but my absolute favorite was getting to interact with the baby animals and taking pictures with them. Just a heads up, these interactive experiences and photos do come with an additional cost, but they're totally worth it for the memories you'll create. It was not only fun but also really educational, which makes it a perfect place to bring kids. I visited in December, and it was quite crowded. It’s a good idea to wear comfortable shoes. Remember to wear a hoodie or bring an umbrella because it tends to rain a lot during that time. It's definitely a must-visit for a unique and memorable experience!

Head Office Taman Safari Indonesia is a wildlife park located in Bogor, covering 420 acres and home to 2,500 animals including giraffes, Bengal tigers, orangutans, hippos, zebras, elephants, Komodo dragons and other Indonesian species. The park offers natural-style habitats for wildlife with visitor safaris and animal/trainer shows.
Even if I go here for a lot of the times, but I never get bored. There’s so many things you can do here. Kids really enjoy their time here, there’s a lot of cute animals that we can see closely. Unfortunately, we can’t take a photo with tiger at Baby Zoo during the pandemics 😭

Too bad there are so many games that haven't been opened yet,
for the show, the opening hours clash with other shows, so you have to be smart in managing the time so that all the facilities can be enjoyed.
even though I came in the morning, but the time to explore all seemed very limited. don't forget to bring an umbrella, jacket or something else to anticipate the rain.
It is a must ho place and you should keep it on bucket list. Apart from enchanting and ethereal beauty you can experience to see a variety of animals and birds.
The best way to enjoy it at the fullest is to reach there by 8:30 and enjoy and avail everything that you can. Acc to my recommendation don’t miss cowboy show and the dolphin show.
One thing that I really didn’t like was that food was very expansive 😉Other than that it is worth going place.
A zoo in bogor , very nice place to see the wild animal from near. Anyone can go and feed them from car. All the animals are open so it’s prohibited to walking here. The zoo is in very natural environment so it’s a high demand area in Indonesia. All the zoo authorities are very friendly and helpful. About 120 types of animal and many types of birds available here. Road inside of this safari is very good and each animal have their personal area. Open for all.
This is definitely worth a visit as a zoo and theme park and a great day out for the family or just on your own where you get to come up close to animals and feed them driving in your car around the safari area ( remember to buy carrots outside the zoo to feed the animals. ) and once you are finished with this you can take your kids around other animal attractions and shows and also a variety of rides. Definitely recommended. Just remember pack swimmers and a towel if you want to use the water park section.

My childhood was there. Nowadays, TSI serves my family especially my nephews.
The feeding experience, becoming close to the animals especially the wild, and the giant panda are the most important things to do.

The park is quite big and there is quite a lot of animals there. Before we reached the taman safari, we got to buy the carrots and bananas to feed some of the animals there. There is zebra, giraffe, monkeys, camels, lions, tigers, hippos and many other kinds of animal.
During our trip there, we got a chance to go visiting the panda area. It’s quite big and we need to take to bus to reach there.
We buy the tickets to the Taman safari online for weekdays and we entered through the special line for online booking. Maybe that’s why there is no line at all in there.
We went there since the morning till the afternoon and unfortunately it’s raining on the day we went there. So, some of the animals is hiding and it’s a shame that there are quite a lot of places we can’t visit as we don’t have enough time.
It's been a long time since I came here. I was really surprised by the change. Especially the new place “Istana Panda Indonesia”, where there’s a Fat Lazy Panda and a charming one, Red Panda.
I feel so delightful with the experience! Beside, There’s also have Sea Lions & Cowboy Performance that really something. I personally proud with their attention to detail. It was cold with enchanting view of the mountain. Like a trip overseas. Will definitely come back!
