Turtle Valley is a captivating zoo that houses an impressive collection of over 500 turtles and tortoises from five continents, along with various reptiles and small mammals. The park offers an array of activities and attractions for visitors of all ages, including Valmy Park, Luna Park, Banyuls Aquarium, and the Butterfly Tropic.
It's a cute park with lots of turtles and tortoises and other animals. Most of the information about animals was also translated into English, but not always. Would have been helpful if the signs on the doors and fences regulating the rules would also been translated. Still, it's worth the visit, especially with little ones because there were lot of playground areas.
Eveli N — Google review
Very nice park with lots of turtles along with many other animals. Food is good and the caretakers are absolutely great. Our 7 years old had lots of fun and we spent about 6 hours there.
Remus D — Google review
A lovely little place. Well cared for and nice staff. Loved the huge turtle and the lady who grew up with it. So much love between the 2.
Maybel M — Google review
A very nice park with lots to do for young kids. Several fun play areas spread around the park, as well as pleasant picnic areas. Many different kinds of animals, and the turtles were lovely to see. Staff speak a little English. Highly recommended for families!
Fanny J — Google review
If you like turtles this place is a must visit for you! So many tortoises and other animals. With kids you can spend entire day here.
Jan V — Google review
Great selection of turtles of all sizes nicely spread out. Free trampoline play area and forest play area next to the mini farm. Definitely could be a full day out for a family with a picnic or a good 2 hour visit. Free parking, dogs allowed on leads. Pram friendly. Only one cafe so queues for food but great menu and fresh food.
Kate — Google review
Excellent place for all turtle lovers and kids. You will enjoy hundreds of turtles from very small to huge ones (>200kg). There are also guided explanations about different species.
Dimitry M — Google review
Great day out. Loads of tortoise and turtles with lots of other animals to keep the kids busy. Great play area too. It rained whilst we were here for a bit but it was still great fun!

Château de Valmy is an elegant Victorian chateau offering modern, stylish rooms with sea views. The on-site restaurant is located in a wine-tasting caveau just a short walk from the chateau. Guests can enjoy the superb pool area and explore the nearby township of Argeles-sur-Mer, which offers various cultural, recreational, and sports activities.
I didn't go but got a stunning wine for my birthday highly recommended

Arrived at 15.30 on a Saturday looking forward to a lovely glass of wine, was rudely turned away at the door by a waiter who wouldn't take his eyes off our clearly not appropriate walking shoes. Go somewhere else if you actually want to get a drink and no attitude.
Robert D — Google review
Such a peaceful retreat A joyous place to just be C Lose to the hustle of the beach or nature to explore the local hiking -what ever you want Best pool experience ever (and that is a lot of pools visited) Thankful for Martin and husband for caring enough to bring this spot back to life for themselves and for us
Lucia T — Google review
Just near the sea and really pretty in spring. We loved it and my kids (and and 2.5 years old) too. The playground is good (no swing 😭) and you can walk up to look at the sea and the Canigou mountains. Amazing views
Sam C — Google review
Amazing views, nice rooms. We came for a weeding, and everything was wonderful. Really recommend this place
Felipe M — Google review
The food is excellent and the setting is amazing. Not cheap of course but not unreasonable for what you get. The wines in particular are very reasonably priced, frankly it's a great spot to get a drink, the view is amazing and a good glass of wine is only a few euros (I think it's starts at €3), and it's great testing wine. Don't forget to visit the wine shop, and also the park by the castle above, it's really nice...
Olivier G — Google review
Beautiful environment, food and wine. Shame the smokers are right next to the non smokers and spoil it for them. Service was good but not the friendliest. Overall great food and wine but disappointing for the non smokers.

Stunning grounds and communal rooms, magnificent pools and lovely breakfast. Staff great. Stayed in 'cheapest' room at 220e a night. Tv didn't work although obliging staff did try to fix it. Toilet and shower on a raised platform with transparent glass wall yuk...and next to lift shaft.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Nestled atop a hill, the Tower Massane stands as a remarkable remnant of 13th-century architecture, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Côte Vermeille. This historic watchtower once served as a crucial lookout point on the border between the Kingdom of France and Majorca. At an impressive altitude of 800 meters, it was part of a defensive network for Majorca and features well-preserved ramparts alongside a fortified church crowned by one of the tallest bell towers in the area.
Hiked up there from the parking near Lavail, the first km was a steep climb, then a long narrow path, then another short climb (3km total). But it was nice for a beginner. Very windy up top, but some really nice views I could see from the Canigou mountain all the way to the coast. The start of the trail is a little bit hard to find, but easy to follow without navigation.
Reindert K — Google review
Beautiful wooded trail. The views were amazing! The trail is marked with yellow stripes and white circles. Parking is very limited near the trailhead. The road is drivable but narrow and in poor condition. Definitely worth it!
Cheryl K — Google review
Place is vary good and the view is beautiful. The Hike to reach it is not so easy, it's around 2-3 km (2h circa) but the first half is quite challenging. Still worth it
Mattia L — Google review
Beautiful hike with views to the cost line. 4h return. Level of difficulty: difficult. Technical path with stones in some parts.
Lorena G — Google review
Wow wow wow. Very nice hike with a really nice view in the top. I can only recommend.
Jennifer K — Google review
Very tough climb for the first 2k, although I wouldn't be the fittest person in the world, the views at the top are reward for all the effort and a refreshing dip in the mountain stream when you get back down again is amazing, lovely way to pass a day on holidays.

Restaurant
La Table de Valmy, nestled in the heart of the magnificent Château de Valmy and its municipal park, is a true gem for gastronomy enthusiasts. Open from April to October, this wine restaurant offers regional cuisine that highlights the estate's wines. Each week, the menu is refreshed with dishes inspired by the fresh products available.
Beautiful terrace for lunch with a very reasonable priced menu with wine accompaniment. Also dog friendly. Definitely recommend.
Ben D — Google review
Lovely restaurant surrounded by vineyards and a view of the Mediterranean. The prix fix menu was wonderful. Dished expertly executed and delicious. I would suggest the wine pairing and it’s a wonderful opportunity to taste the different Valmy wines We’ve already been twice and plan on going again soon

A Hidden Gem with Stunning Views La Table de Valmy is truly a hidden gem. Tucked away in a beautiful setting, it offers a fantastic view over the vineyards and the coastline – the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. The food is of outstanding quality, prepared with finesse and presented beautifully. Every dish we had reflected a high culinary standard, yet the prices were surprisingly reasonable. The value for money here is exceptional. The ambiance is relaxed and elegant, and the staff are both professional and warm, contributing to an all-around wonderful experience. Highly recommended – we’ll definitely be coming back!
Jur L — Google review
Worth a visit- wine tasting is fab! Staff are excellent!
Deb G — Google review
The food was excellent – well-seasoned, creatively prepared, and served with great care. Very fair prices for the quality. A nice bonus: wine tastings and tours are available, and you can purchase the wines afterward. Highly recommended!
Pam L — Google review
Always a great experience with lovely food and extraordinary wine for an interesting price! The view over the vineyard is perfect, and the terrace allows for enough shade in the summer! The menus change weekly and give plenty of options for everyone, bringing good food to the table accompanied by amazing wine.

Perfekt! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. The wine is sooo good! I recommend Valmy Le Premier.
Liana L — Google review
Undercooked fish. No excuse. 2 toilets for 100 covers is ridiculous. Staff could tidy up their appearance. Shorts and tattoos are most inappropriate. Will we come back? No.

French restaurant
Le Jardin des Simples, a must-visit for tourists and locals alike, offers an authentic dining experience in a charming garden home atmosphere. This hidden gem is managed by a delightful couple who prioritize using local seasonal ingredients. The restaurant provides an inviting ambiance that makes guests feel like they are being welcomed into someone's private residence. Madame prepares exquisite dishes while Monsieur ensures attentive service. The food is exceptional and served in the beautifully lit garden during summer months.
What a treat! We had such a nice evening with good food, nice wine and a very friendly host!
Niels B — Google review
Finding this place was a bit difficult. Call them if you do not as it really worth it ; their team is at the guests' service. Once we found this hidden gem, the meal was absolutely delicious. From start to finish, it was fresh and extremely tasty. Just one caveat : the wine list only includes local wines. We are not fans, so next time, we will ask if we can bring our own bottle. And if you have to try one thing, try their bread : the best one we had in a long long time.
Melanie M — Google review
Really cannot be missed if you are visiting and especially if you live in the area. Truly a dining experience where you can appreciate authentic hospitality and charm of the region with elegant dishes in an unassuming garden home setting. It is run by an adorable couple, wife in the kitchen, husband front of the house and they take care to procure local seasonal products. Update 19 Feb 24: I’m lowering my rating from 5 to 4. It pains me to do this because it was a favorite of ours but our last visit the quality of preparation and presentation really diminished. The hosts are still lovely people but I feel like we are at a completely different restaurant then all the other times we’d been before.
Caro W — Google review
Wonderful, delicious meal, probably one of the nicest we’ve had here, all served in a cosy romantic setting of their garden.. it is a slow process so come prepared for long relaxed conversations as the lovely couple make you a delicious meal

A hidden gem. You enter feeling as if you are a guest in someone's home. The food was exquisite all freshly cooked by Madame and served by Monsieur. We ate in the garden which was beautifully lit and added to the ambience. A wonderful experience. Merci beaucoup Madame et Monsieur.

Day 2

Northeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Aqualand Saint Cyprien - Parc Aquatique | Pyrénées-Orientales (66), then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Ouille Beach. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Aqualand Saint Cyprien is a thrilling water park spanning over 7 hectares, offering 15 attractions suitable for families and friends. The park features various types of slides, catering to both relaxation and adrenaline seekers. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the sea before plunging into the refreshing waters on some of the slides. Additionally, there are sound effects at Splash Music to surprise and entertain guests.
We were here at the end of June with our 2 kids 6 & 11. They enjoyed it a lot. Place is really well maintained and clean and supervision by lifeguards is superb. You can buy chaise long for €4 per day or put a blanket on the grass for free. Wave pool is super and runs the wave every hour. Lots of fun for big and small. We recommend taking your own food as the bar is open for only a while ( drinks you can buy all day). Highly recommended!!!
Monika B — Google review
Kids thoroughly enjoyed the day here, lots of great slides, staff were nice. On the downside, the restaurant closes too early and the only other food is crepes or waffles. Also both myself and my husband weren't going on the slides but had to pay full price. I know it's hard to regulate but wristbands would work well here. Overall it was a great day out! I would highly recommend 🙌
Laura N — Google review
Nothing wrong with this place. Plenty of helpful staff around, many of them English speaking. Good number of attractions for various ages. Food is a bit pricey but tasty for what it is. Very clean. We spent a whole day there and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it.
Tomasz W — Google review
Very poor signposting, car park impossible to access, was dropping off others but no set down area to wait. Food availability was basic with limited choices.
Tom D — Google review
We were here early July, kids of 6, 13 and 16 loved it. You can take own food in which is handy , €4 each for sunbed and to get out of carpark. Reviews earlier stating that the food places close early is true leaving only really one place open to buy ice cream/juices etc making long wait in qué. Park closes at 6 so rides close about 530ish . Would go back .
Phil K — Google review
Excellent water park, my son (9) absolutely loved it! Seems to get a fairly bad rap, but I think it’s great. Good selection of slides and pools for my youngest (3), great day out. We did picnic, made it cheaper as I don’t think it’s cheap, but still brilliant day out nonetheless. Memories made 🙌
Pete W — Google review
BIG TIP: Go to Groupon for discounted tickets. Saves you ~33%. Worth it. There are some mixed reviews here. In the whole, we had a positive experience. It’s pretty crazy that parking isn’t included in the price. It’s only €2 but it leaves a bad taste. Also note lockers are €4. Be sure to bring key back after and you’ll get €2 back and we got a free gift bag. Also also note deck chairs are €4 each. But lots of people put towels down on grassy spots under trees so there are options. There are limited food options - one hot food bar and one ice cream bar. Both have big queues so be prepared to wait. We brought lunch - very glad we did. Sanitation is concerning. There are no foot bath water things working anywhere. Slides are all fun. My kids had a ball and that’s all that matters. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Thomas M — Google review
A bit pricey for entry but got there early and could do all the slides with no queues before the big crowds arrived. If you time it well the queues will be less for food. Bring a packed lunch. 4 euro for a sun bed is a bit much. Got there on the trainbus from the harbour in Saint Cyprien well worth it if you have no car. A good day 😊😊😊😊

Busy lunapark, rides for every age available. Prices of the rides about €4,- per person, but ride times are good.
Thijs R — Google review
Great rides for all ages. Good value for money, 4 euro/5 euro a ride or 3 for €10. Highly recommend. We had. Family of 5 kids and would probably needed another night to go around everything.
Demi F — Google review
Extremely busy. Was offer day every ride €2 which was great. Queues not to bad not alot of wait time. Big rides not for kids and stuff for little ones too.
Hayley F — Google review
We enjoyed a couple of hours here on a Tuesday evening. We arrived for 8pm and parked with no problems. My children were on the smaller attractions, bungee trampolines, hook a duck, water zorbs etc and they really enjoyed it. We enjoyed watching the big rides too! There's definitely something for all of the family but most rides are 5€ or more each so can become expensive.
Ruth C — Google review
Terrible place with no atmosphere, little to do and staff who were as attentive as a doormat. Would never entertain going back. Use the enchanted garden 100m away. Children had a great time there
Çhristopher S — Google review
Very enjoyable amusements and very reasonably priced. Rides a bit scary but worth a go.
William W — Google review
Fun for kids, so pretty at night. Expensive though for families as you can not buy a wrist band that let's you on everything. The guys on the waterlog slide were also extremely cheeky to our family and don't be conned into paying 20euro to place the discs on the circle, these guys have been doing it for years and make it look easy but it's not possible for somone to do it in 2 goes!

Canyoning Park is an exhilarating aquatic complex featuring purpose-built rock formations for a variety of heart-pumping activities in a safe and guided environment. The park boasts 14 pools connected by jumps ranging from three to seven meters, thrilling water slides, rappelling under 12 to 15-meter waterfalls, rapid tobogganing, cannon-balling from a height of nine meters, and ziplining over a 100-meter stretch into the final pool.
Canyoning Park in Argelès-sur-Mer was an absolutely amazing experience – unlike anything we've ever done before! It was a completely new and unique adventure full of adrenaline, fun, and unforgettable moments. From jumps and slides to climbing and swimming, every part of the course was exciting and perfectly designed. What made it even better was the incredible team of professionals – they were highly skilled, super friendly, and made us feel safe and confident the entire time. Our family, including our two kids (ages 10 and 13), had an absolute blast! It’s an experience we’ll all remember, and we can’t stop talking about it. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, thrilling activity for all ages. Whether you're a beginner or an adventure lover, you’ll love it. Huge thanks to the team – we’ll definitely be back!

The adults and bigger kids loved it. Our 12 year old girls were a bit too scared for most of the jumps and slides. Great place though very different and exhilarating.
Mark B — Google review
The whole family had a lot of fun here, and everyone had to overcome their fears, which was made easier thanks to the crew who accompanied us. Thank you for this experience!
Serge M — Google review
Went today as a group of 5, with ages ranging from 14 to 66. We had the best fun, a great English speaking instructor (Jean-Pierre) took us under his wing and was able to give great instructions and advice which really helped! A few obstacles proved too much for the youngest and they were very encouraging and supportive, and ultimately there was no pressure put on him and "escape routes" offered. Definitely pushed us outside our comfort zones, but everything was achievable! Would highly recommend and would definitely go again!
Louise M — Google review
We had a brilliant experience at the Canyoning Park. We had never done anything like this before at all and it was a real one off. Lots of fun and adrenaline. Be aware you need to speak at least basic French - most of the staff did not speak English. It was fine for our group as one of us does. Staff were friendly and explained everything very well.

Absolutely 'must go' place. It was fun. Instructors were friendly, speaking English as our french was poor:) No pressure, all tasks to be done in your pace. Place worth to visit. Many thanks for lovely time.

A lot of fun but surprisingly challenging. A 7m jump and a 14m abseil through a waterfall are just two of the attractions. Great staff who were very helpful, able to talk in English when our French failed us. Good value for money, too. Book in advance.

Plage de la Marende

Public beach
Plage de la Marende is a beautiful beach located in Argeles, offering fine sandy shores and gentle waves of the Mediterranean. It's known for being dog-friendly, with a wide area that's not too crowded and has clean water. Dog owners should head to the unsupervised side of the beach, marked by a red sign. The beach is also great for wind-powered water sports but can be quite windy, so it's advisable to bring a jacket.
Beutiful expansive and peaceful stretch of mediterránean sand and sea... but remember that this was at some point a concentration camp for spanish republicans fleeing the fascist forces of Franco.
Diego B — Google review
Nice beach with facilities such as restaurants and toilets and parking. Would recommend when visiting la sirene or hippocampe, very nearby.
Marion C — Google review
Nice, clean beach with free toilets. It's rather small grit than sand but nice anyway. Free, large parking nearby (2.2m entrance). Restaurants at the beach seem to be nice but prices are high (as in France...).
Jakub G — Google review
Great beach..toilet facilities..loads parking ..nice cafe and water sports
L S — Google review
Nice, clean beach and a great place to watch the wind powered water sports. It is very windy however, so bring a jacket!

Gorgeous spot to swim, with a dramatic view of the Pyrénées plunging into the sea.
Courtney L — Google review
Really nice wide dog friendly beach, not too crowded and with clean water. Very popular with dog owners, including us; the one thing to pay attention to for dog owners is to keep walking to the left while looking at the sea until reaching the unsupervised side of the beach (you will see a red sign stating that). On the supervised side of the beach dogs are not allowed.

Camping Les Marsouins - Ciela Village - Argelès-sur-Mer is a well-located campsite offering easy access to beaches, shopping, and restaurants. The pool area is popular but can get busy, with friendly staff managing the crowds. Accommodations like the Ciela Privilege cabin are recommended for their quality and amenities. The campground is spacious and green, but evening entertainment and kids' clubs are primarily in French.
Lovely campsite, very clean toilets and showers. We only booked this the day before we arrived. We were going to stay in the North of France but the weather changed so we headed South . Did it in 10 hrs with a couple of short stops. So glad we did. Amazing pool. Close to the Pyranees mountains. Lots of cycle paths. Minutes away from the beach. Lovely harbour and lots of restaurants.

We stayed in a Prestige bungalow for one week. Both the bungalow and the rest of the campsite facilities are new and very clean. The staff, although very young, were always polite and professional. The pools are great, but they close at 6:50 p.m., which felt a bit early to us. . Evening entertainment was quite basic (bingo, football on TV, karaoke...). What we liked the least is that it feels more like a hotel than a traditional campsite. Most of the space (about 90%) is taken up by plots and bungalows laid out in a big grid. Then there are the shared areas like the pools and bars. There’s little room for socializing, and it lacks that warm-“village” atmosphere we’ve enjoyed at other campings. One unpleasant experience was when the pool was rented out for a private event one afternoon, meaning regular guests couldn't use it. We were staying nearby and had to put up with loud music past midnight, without being able to sleep or join the event. We probably won’t return, as it’s not the kind of camping we’re looking for. The facilities are excellent, but the hotel-like setup isn’t for us, and it felt like a limited experience for children

Loved this campsite. We stayed for a week on a very large plot. Great location for cycling. Easy to get to the beach and the port. Lovely pools and lots of sun beds. Our only problem was that we couldn't fill up with water as we were nowhere near a tap and our Motorhome is to big for us to drive to the nearest one as we wouldn't have been able to turn around.
Kathryn L — Google review
No hot water to shower small campsite shop, had to Que a long time for bread etc will up date later as we are here for two weeks?? Fingers crossed So after 10days what have I decided, location is great loads todo beaches are stunning night markets, town, local shops, but the campsite itself not five stars in my opinion, toilets and showers left dirty in main shower block, if you go early never toilet tissue always have to wait a while as it’s busy, always looks dirty, if you go late same thing, has shop and bars on site and are good, if you like musics and entertainment sort of then it’s good, starts at around 930pm finish at 12 midnight it’s a shame that the showers and general cleanliness is not good

A fabulous family holiday in an amazing place. Immaculate accommodation and facilities, so much for our joint families to do with 7 children aged 1-8. Highly recommended and would definitely visit again. Could not fault this wonderful place.
Dionne S — Google review
Chalets are modern and clean but bedrooms are tiny. You would need to book an additional room just for storage of luggage and space to get dressed. Dont book if you dont speak French!
Rebecca B — Google review
A good campsite that could be even better. The site is well situated for access by foot, car and bike to beaches, shopping, restaurants and more. I'll start with the positives. The pool area is brilliant, but gets busy. The pool staff are really friendly and try to keep on top of the many unruly teenagers as much as they can. Before coming, I had read that only tight swimming shorts for men were allowed, but this is not enforced and most were wearing loose fitting shorts. The bar and restaurant staff are absolutely amazing at what they do. They work hard, and always with a smile, while joining in with the evening entertainment. The animation team is what makes this place great, without them it would be just another camping. They put on great shows each evening, provide fun by the pool, and my kids loved the Bastille day parade. The head of the animation team is a great singer but is the center of everything. He has a great team who have many talents and would do great if they could show a bit more of themselves. The site is modern and well planned out, with a well stocked but expensive shop open daily from 7:00 to 21:00. The Bakery sells all of the pastries and bread you could possibly need. The night security team are very friendly and drive around to say good evening to everyone and let you know that they're around. The communal showering and toilets are modern and clean. There is a pump track, football pitch, play area and huge boulle arena to keep both kids and adults entertained when not sunning by the pool or at the beach. There is decent WiFi available too which is a bonus. And now for the not so good. Our cabin was clean and modern, however the hot water was not working properly on the first day, after speaking to the reception, someone came to fix it. After another day it was broken again, they 'fixed it' again, then broken again, this went on and on. I then overhead the reception staff talking about our cabin, and this was a known problem. Eventually after nearly two week of this, they sent for a real plumber who fixed the it properly, meaning we could finally shower in our own cabin If it weren't for the poor service from the reception staff, I'd have given the campsite five stars. Although not a negative, this is a French campsite with no focus on catering for the international guests. You need to be able to speak French on this site to be able to enjoy it fully. There are many other campsites in the area which are better for international guests, which is a shame as the facilities Les Marsouins are better than them all. All in all we had a good few weeks in this beautiful area of French Catalonia and would come back.

Make sure to book a Ciela Privilege cabin, they are perfect in terms of quality and price (AC, dishwasher, queen bed, porch, tv, spacing, ...) The campground is large, green, but the entertainment starts late (21:30) and is targeted at people fluent in French only. Same for the kids clubs. They try to accommodate but the barrier is huge for non native French. Shop onsite is well priced, just like the point chaud (with delicious fresh bread) The pool has been rennovated early 2023 and is at RESORT level, although the concrete is a bit coarse, could you some good sanding or polishing, because walking is a painful endeavour. Bike rental is cheap at €29-39/week. Reception staff and security are VERY friendly and helpful. Entertainment crew is very passionate but a bit unexperienced to get a bigger crowd going mad.

Beach
Ouille Beach is a charming and secluded pebble beach located along the coastline, stretching 10 km from the mouth of the Tech river. The water is beautifully clear, making it perfect for snorkeling and diving. Accessible via a flat path or a steep tarmac road, this lovely beach welcomes dogs and offers a small creek running into the sea.
We love this beach. It features a charming mix of pebbles and smaller stones, making it quite pleasant to walk along. The beach is not very windy, partly thanks to the natural cliffs that provide some shelter. The water here is calm and shallow, perfect for a relaxing swim.

Lovely pebble beach where you can take your dog, has a small creek running out into the sea with a campsite behind. Water is beautifully clear, so it's perfect for snorkelling.

My friend and I had a wonderful beach day here. It's not that full and the water is beautiful and completely clear. You can enjoy a wonderful hike on the cliffs, where you can also find a small ice cream shop. Would definitely recommend for a more relaxed atmosphere

Le Pain du Sud is a charming restaurant in Perpignan that offers a delightful Mediterranean dining experience. The venue boasts a spacious vaulted room where guests can savor the freshness and authenticity of the cuisine. In addition to its warm ambiance, Le Pain du Sud also offers an array of delicious breads and pastries, making it an ideal spot for enjoying a leisurely meal or grabbing some refreshments on the go.
Great patisserie. Fantastic pastries and friendly service. Couldn't fault it.

Very mid. Pastries and bread that would struggle to compete in the United States (where the standard is low). When asked for an opinion, the person at the counter was evasive in their answer (in retrospect, it was more of a "none of it is very good" response). I'm not sure how this place manages its 4 star average. The other boulangeries are worth going the 3 minutes out of your way.

El Capillo, a newly established restaurant in Collioure, offers a unique dining experience with its French cuisine infused with international flavors. The menu changes according to the seasons and features an array of fusion dishes such as Saumon gravlax with beetroot and Tataki de thon with a soy-maple glaze. Additionally, the establishment is known for its artisanal ice creams and gluten-free cakes that cater to all tastes.
If I could give them 10 stars I would! Such a kind chef and server couple. The food is unbelievable! So much thought and love goes into each dish, you can tell the chef really cares about making beautiful food. It's truly art. The freshest ingredients, prepared by an amazing chef. The service is fantastic too - they spent time to help translate the 3 course menu for us when we didnt understand/weren't familiar with how the menu worked. Really took care of us, the chef came out to check on us and share details about how it was made. Atmosphere is SO wonderful! It is the best little boutique atmosphere. Good lighting, cozy. I will be dreaming about my time here for years!

El Capillo – A Mediterranean Gem of Flavor and Hospitality This is one of those places that stays with you. Every dish is a delightful surprise – a perfect blend of Mediterranean tradition and creative finesse. The pulled beef "hot dog" is a revelation – a dish that could easily stand on the menu of a fine dining restaurant. The grilled dorade with pesto is a sensory treat – juicy, perfectly cooked, and paired with a sauce that elevates every bite. The tapas? Simply top-tier. The Patatas Bravas with aioli are addictive. The mussels – fresh, flavorful, perfectly prepared. The anchovies – delicate, beautifully balanced, served with roasted peppers and onions – simple yet outstanding. Everything is presented with care and taste. And the desserts? Absolutely divine. The grilled brioche with vanilla ice cream, caramel, and whipped cream is heavenly. The chocolate version, topped with a butterfly-shaped crispy wafer and nuts, is both artistic and delicious. A sweet finale done right. A huge plus is the owner – incredibly kind, passionate, and welcoming. The staff is also outstanding – attentive, professional, and warm. El Capillo isn’t just a restaurant – it’s an experience. I’ll definitely return and highly recommend it. Thank you for an unforgettable culinary journey!

Arbor & Sens is a delightful and surprising restaurant that has recently been acquired by a local campsite. The establishment prides itself on its self-sustainability, growing their own vegetables and utilizing organic options. Situated on expansive grounds with numerous amenities, the restaurant features a charming dining garden adorned with a magical tree. The food offered is excellent and reasonably priced, making it an attractive choice for visitors in the area.
Excellent dinner. A little gem of a restaurant. The food is fresh from the garden and well presented. The staff are friendly and service quick. Our children loved to play mini golf between courses. Highly recommended!

A wonderfully beautiful setting and nice ambience but what a disappointing experience, seriously underwhelmed at the service and food. tataki veau barely edible, burger that sticks to the roof of your mouth, tasteless dessert and a server who just wasn't on top of it. Perhaps it's better at lunchtime, but for the prices they charge at dinner, they need to do better.

Cozy Restaurant with Excellent Cuisine! The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. They were always attentive and ensured that my visit was a memorable one. The menu offered a wide selection of dishes, encompassing both traditional and modern cuisine. I opted for a dish from the regional cuisine and was not disappointed. The food was freshly prepared, of high quality, and outstanding in terms of taste. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it was evident that the chef put a lot of attention to detail and passion into the preparation. The presentation of the dishes was also impressive. Each dish was artfully arranged on the plate and looked simply fantastic. It was clear that the restaurant placed great emphasis on aesthetics and quality. The drink menu offered an impressive selection of wines, cocktails, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. I chose a recommended wine that paired perfectly with my food and complemented my taste experience. The service at the restaurant was excellent. The staff was attentive and had good knowledge of the menu, allowing them to provide valuable recommendations for both food and drinks. Overall, my visit to this restaurant was an absolute highlight. The cozy ambiance, friendly staff, excellent cuisine, and first-class service thoroughly impressed me. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.

Everything was amazing. The service was brilliant , friendly , helpful , polite and efficient. The food looked beautiful and tasted even better! All locally sourced, even the water! Genuinely one of the best meals my partner and I have ever had. The cocktails, all named after the waitress’s, were fantastically made and delicious. Can not recommend enough, 5 Stars!!!

Our favourite restaurant in the area, we go back every year and have been here for many years. Food is awesome and delicious, the place is beautiful to sit inside and out (especially in the garden though), and the service is always high quality. As a coeliac I highly recommend for those gluten free and other allergies- sooooo much of the menu you can have and they make alterations for you too!

Really disappointing experience, had hoped for more with such a lovely setting, but food was really poor, serving dips which was basically tuna and mayo mix , something id make myself for a kids sandwich as a 'tapas'?! the beef was the worst cooked piece of bbq I've ever had , such a waste of a good cut of meat, it was supposed to be bbq but had no char or any smoke flavour not even seasoned.. and we asked for medium and came out cold and really really pink more on the tartar side. overall I would advise to avoid.. really beautiful restaurant and staff were lovely but badly let down by it's food.

After searching on the internet, this place is one of the best in the area. The sitting area is in the garden area, surrounded by trees with pebbles under you feet . The food is fresh using seasonal products, with a floral touch. Almost everything is made in-house. We couldn't finish our bottle wine and the staff kindly offered to recork the wine for us to take it home.

Absolutely delightful and surprising restaurant. Visited twice in 1 week. Recently bought by a local campsite, this restaurant grows their own vegetables and uses a lot of organic options. It is set on big grounds and has loads of amenities. It has a magical tree in the dining garden, hence the name. Food was excellent and reasonable for what you get; and the set up is really special, don't miss it if you are in the area. My 2 kids of 7 and 10 enjoyed all the activities - bow and arrows, mini golf, looking at the chickens!
