Marks and Spencer, commonly known as M&S, has recently launched its first vegan range called Plant Kitchen, featuring over 60 different items such as ready meals and snacks. The range focuses on flavor while offering options like vegan mac 'n' cheese, cauliflower popcorn, mushroom stroganoff, and a 'no beef' burger. Additionally, the store is praised for its large city center location with multiple levels accessible by escalator.
22/4/25 just been to a bra fitting with mandy She was brilliant and got me sorted. I was interested in the minimisers but the ones i chose didn't quite fit me and were unconformable. She came back with a couple of flexi fit ones and the second one was spot on. I purchased a couple of them and would recommend them highly.

I came into the travel money department on Saturday afternoon to get some euros. I and was helped by a very competent and charming member of staff I believe his name was Kristian. He was polite and professional and dealt with my request very well. I was very satisfied with the service he gave me and I will definitely use the service again.

I would like to say thank you to the lady in the lingerie department. Unfortunately I didn't get your name. She was wonderful, helping my sister to find the perfect fitting bra. She was patient and brilliant whilst maintaining a very professional stance. Well done Marks and Spencer, my sister now knows the difference between a minimiser and a balcony bra...once again thank you.

Would be great if you were actually open till the actual closing time. Locking your doors with 5-10 mins before the actual closing time is pretty darn cheeky, especially for people just wanting to nip in for one item so not gonna be lingering.
Holly J — Google review
Such poor customer service. I was there at 5.25 pm on Wednesday and the lady was only interested in going home. The lingerie department is not well stocked with sizes and she was useless. In the end she got someone else to take my money as she had to go home!! . Dont people realise that their jobs rely on customers !

The last time I was in a Marks and Spencer was in Hong Kong over ten years ago. Previously, when they were in Toronto before they left the Canadian market. I wasn't sure what to expect when I entered the store. My 5 year old daughter immediately started looking through the kids clothes but didn't find anything that caught her eye. I browsed the menswear section on the upper most level. This store has 4 levels in total so it is very large.
Jonathan L — Google review
Went to the women's clothing dept. today and was trying to find a light turtle neck jumper, i asked a staff member named 'John' if there were any, he rudely told me 'it's not the right season', instead of telling me something useful like i could go online instead (as i searched and yeah they do have them online) or even a 'sorry, no' would have been better. Really sassy John. Thanks for your unhelpfulness.

Pleasant walk with dog. No litter which is absolutely marvellous. Clean tidy. Have been several times. Good place for a coffee etc, catch up with a few friends, or just by myself. Some parking on main road. Restaurants and other shops nearby.

This is quite a nice free place to go in Mansfield. It has a large park for children of all ages. There is a basketball / 5 a side football pitch free to use. An onsite cafe is a nice touch as well. There are a couple of bowling greens for those who play bowls. The park has paths all around it which are dotted with outdoor gym equipment for those active mind people. A small river runs through the park with several bridges allowing you to cross over to the other side. At one corner is a outdoor amphitheatre where you could put on a show for your friends or other people in the park. It's great for picnics in Nice weather and a generally nice area to meet up with friends. It's situated quite close to the town centre so not far from amenities but unfortunately has no onsite toilets but other than that it's a nice addition to Mansfield Town centre.

Italian restaurant
Ciao Bella is a delightful Italian eatery located on Nottingham Road in Mansfield, where the ambiance is as inviting as the menu. This charming spot offers a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary Italian dishes, making it an ideal destination for food lovers. Guests can unwind with a refreshing glass of prosecco in the lounge bar before indulging in their meal.
Family of 5 early Dinner. Wonderfully decorated and very smart dining room. Starters were excellent, prawns, mussels, meatballs. Pate. All freshly cooked with great sauces. Mains and desserts also very good and the desserts were fantastic, probably a bit too generous TBH. The staff were very hard working and very polite. Well worth the 10% tip we left as service charge is not on the menu as standard. Highly recommend.

An Unforgettable Experience at Caio Bella – Thanks to Mircea! If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. My recent visit to Caio Bella in Mansfield was made truly exceptional by Mircea, whose expertise, charisma, and passion for his craft transformed a simple evening out into an experience to remember. From the moment we arrived, Mircea made us feel instantly welcome with his warm and professional approach. He struck that perfect balance between attentive service and relaxed charm, effortlessly moving between the bar and dining area as though he was hosting friends in his own home. It’s rare to meet someone who can read the room so well — he seemed to know exactly when to step in, when to make us laugh, and when to let us enjoy the moment. What really stood out, though, was his exceptional knowledge and recommendations when it came to wine. His passion is undeniable, and with 25 years in the industry, it shows. Every bottle he suggested came with a story — not just about the grape or the region, but about the feeling behind the wine. He made it interactive, educational, and genuinely fun. My friend and I were fascinated by the insight he shared, and by the end of the first glass, we were completely captivated. Now, to put it into perspective — we came in for a quiet drink, maybe a single bottle to share. But Mircea’s enthusiasm and skill had us staying for a second, and somehow, before we knew it, we were halfway through a third bottle! If that doesn’t speak to his charm and persuasive flair, I don’t know what does. A true salesman, yes — but one who sells with heart, knowledge, and authenticity rather than pressure. Mircea has a way of turning a simple wine recommendation into an experience. Every pour came with laughter, stories, and genuine connection. His professionalism never faltered, but his personality shone through in every interaction. It’s clear that his 25 years of experience have shaped him into not just a brilliant sommelier and host, but a master of customer experience. If you visit Caio Bella — and you absolutely should — do yourself a favour and let Mircea guide you through your evening. Whether you’re a wine novice or a seasoned enthusiast, he’ll make sure you leave with not just a satisfied palate, but a smile, a story, and maybe even an extra bottle (or two) you didn’t plan on ordering! A true gem in Mansfield’s hospitality scene. Thank you, Mircea, for reminding us what outstanding service really looks like.

Visited here for my little sister’s 18th and it was fabulous 🥰 The staff were great.. they let us take balloons early for them to set up on the table & also bought her dessert out with a candle singing happy birthday 🎂 so thoughtful !! The food is just delicious.. everyone’s dish was just gorgeous, from pizza to pasta, antipasti to risotto 😍 great aperol too !🍹 We will be back 🧡

I ordered the antipasto platter and immediately noticed that the prosciutto crudo tasted sour and unpleasant. Upon closer inspection, I saw white, fuzzy edges on some slices — clear signs of early mold. I pointed this out to the waiter, who instantly dismissed me, saying, “That’s not mold” and that it was impossible because it had come from the fridge. I calmly explained that I know what mold looks and tastes like, and that I’ve also worked in a kitchen in Italy — I know what fresh prosciutto should look and taste like. His response? A sarcastic, “You know the taste of mold?” I felt insulted and mocked. He took the plate to the head chef, then returned with the same line: “It’s fresh, it was stored properly.” But the white fuzzy texture was still there, and the taste confirmed it wasn’t right. I also noticed that the prosciutto cotto looked dried out and not fresh — as if it had been sliced hours earlier and left exposed. When I insisted the product wasn’t fresh, the waiter said, “Let’s not argue,” clearly trying to hush the conversation so other guests wouldn’t hear. Then he asked, “Should I leave the plate or take it?” I clearly replied, “I’m not eating mold.” He took the plate — and still charged us for it. To prove my point, I went to Aldi afterwards and bought freshly packaged prosciutto to satisfy my craving. I took comparison photos and a short video showing the clear difference in texture, color, and freshness. There’s no doubt that what I was served at the restaurant was not acceptable. I was shocked by the complete lack of professionalism, the dismissive attitude, and the zero accountability. If a guest raises a legitimate food safety concern, it should be taken seriously — not met with sarcasm and denial. Extremely disappointing experience.

We stopped by Ciao Bella just for a glass of wine and were blown away by the service! Mircea, who served us, was so knowledgeable and passionate about wine. Once we’d tasted our glass, he gave us a little masterclass on where it came from, how it was made, and what to look out for in the flavours — it was fascinating! He was kind, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. We didn’t have food this time, but the atmosphere and service alone will definitely bring us back. Highly recommend! 🍷

Best pub in Mansfield!!!!! Especially for real ales and craft beers. Always a nice, warm welcome upon entering and also is very dog friendly. Has a good selection of everything, to spirits, wines and ciders. Doesn't do food but has a wide range of bar snacks. Nuts, crisps, scratchings etc. Live music most weekends and a Sunday Social every sunday from 7pm. A quiz every Wednesday from 8.30pm. They have the 'Cow Shed' upstairs which is available to hire out for birthday's, baby showers, small wedding receptions etc.. All in all, a fantastic pub, with a friendly and unique setting to cater everyone. Get yourself down for a pint 🍺🐮

Undoubtedly the best pub in Mansfield. The interior is attractive and comfortable, it seems to attract a nice clientele, and the range of well-kept cask ales is astonishing in a town where finding proper beer is difficult. Above all the staff are welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable about the real ales they sell.

Hired the function room for my husband's 40th Birthday party and had a great time. Staff really friendly and helpful. Able to play our own music through our own Spotify playlist. Good selection of drinks at the in room bar, but also had the option for drinks from downstairs. Allowed us in earlier in the day to decorate.

Can't comment on atmosphere as it was takeaway delivery, took its sweet time food came full of flavour n warm which is fine I get they're probably busy but lack of chicken in curry at most 5 big bits, pickles naan bhaji rice poppadoms all nice full of flavour would eat again but probably in rather than order out

Had a takeaway delivered on Friday night. I was happy I could pre order, and food arrived within 5 minutes of the time. Our previous delivery was flawless. Tonight's chips and bread arrived near enough stone cold and the Currys could have been warmer for sure. Keeping the food warm when out for a delivery in a car is easy hence the disappointment of last night 😔

I’ve just had the best Indian curry ever — the food was absolutely exceptional! Every dish was packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. The staff were incredible too — three lovely girls serving us, all so friendly and attentive, with quick response times and great attention to detail. A big shoutout to Alfie, he was so welcoming and informative, letting us know what’s coming up next with Waterlily and making our whole experience one of the best we’ve ever had. To top it all off, there was a live DJ playing great music, which created such a fun and vibrant atmosphere throughout the evening. The prices are very reasonable for the quality you get — excellent value for money. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. We’ll definitely be back!

I would like to take the time to say it was mine and jay first time visiting this evening and wow where to start from our first greeting with Alfie we felt so relaxed and was able to sit and order drinks and relax. We were taken to our table the view over looking the lake was breath taking and beautiful. Our server came jay nothing was to much trouble made lovely conversation. The food was absolutely to die for and far to much of it but we were able to take it home. We are both vapers and you trusted us to leave the table to both go outside together which was lovely, Alfie spike to us on return inside as we were looking through the windows of the outside room the new shisha lounge. Alfie took us inside it's beautiful and we have booked a table to come back in November to try it. We had a little mishap with the server who brought our food out who dropped my rice all over the table. But myself and jay laughed and said it was a learning curve for the staff who felt awful, that didn't change our evening which was stunning from start to finish. So please share our thanks to everyone tonight we will see you in November love Stacey and Jay xxx

Tried the new melts, they are really nice and great to have as a change to having a pizza. Definitely recommend trying them especially if you don't want too much pizza or want to try something different. Opted for delivery, arrived on time hot and fresh 👌

I was craving pizza, decided to unfortunately order Pizza Hut. Never in my life have I tasted Pizza this awful before, the bread was soggy the toppings tasted like they had been sitting outside for days. The pizza is not fit for human consumption, I might as well have been eating saw dust.
Jeevan S — Google review
Collected 3 different large pan pizza’s. All were greasy and dripping in oil, so not able to be consumed. Waste of money. I actually didn’t know they cooked pizzas in a deep fat fryer, but that seems to be the trend in this area with most fast food. Won’t be ordering again and I don’t care how many slices/vouchers they give me. Never again…
Mark — Google review
As a professional delivery driver who works with many restaurants, I’ve come to expect a certain level of professionalism and mutual respect. Unfortunately, the experience at Pizza Hut on Albert Street in Mansfield falls far below that standard. There is one staff member in particular who is consistently rude, dismissive, and blatantly unprofessional toward delivery drivers. The way drivers are treated at this location is completely unacceptable — as though we are a nuisance rather than a crucial part of their operation. It seems they’ve forgotten that we are the reason their food reaches customers in the first place. Even more disappointing is the fact that many of us drivers are also customers. We spend our own money supporting these businesses, yet we’re met with attitude and disrespect. That kind of short-sighted behavior not only alienates drivers but also pushes away loyal customers. Pizza Hut Albert Street is in urgent need of management intervention. Staff should be reminded that professionalism and courtesy are non-negotiable — especially toward those who help keep their business running. Until that happens, I would advise both customers and fellow drivers to steer clear of this branch.

Visitor center
The Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre offers a variety of trails and walks suitable for different levels of fitness, interests, and durations. It is situated near the iconic Sherwood forest, which is a popular spot for dog walking in Nottingham. The visitor centre boasts an impressive new building that is well designed and features a cafe with a diverse range of options and an excellent shop. There's also an outdoor amphitheatre area whose purpose remains to be seen. The friendly staff are knowledgeable about the surrounding area.
We love Sherwood forest when we visited..it seems to be a great combination of leaving the woodland alone and adding in events and supplies that blend. Respectful to the environment and enjoyable for the family. Wish we knew ahead of time there was archery here - how great! Parking is over the road and able. The location is run by RSBP so I assume membership gives you something.

Visited for the first time in a number of years and was disappointed to find the old visitor centre was no longer there. It used to have the feel of a village with a lovely walk through story of Robin Hood. The walk itself was still really good and our grandson loved the den building area and playground. Just felt it had been commercialised and lost its old character.

Wonderful visitor centre and staff. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of the forest and amazing history of the Major Oak. It's not a theme park, let's be clear. But for a family day out, enjoying the forest, wildlife and environment, we had a great day. Lots of trails and routes to explore. Cafe was fine but basic. Car parking was the only issue as 2 of the 3 machines didn't work, and the app wouldn't connect (bad signal).

Sherwood Forest is managed by the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds). This charity organization allows visitors to make a donation for entry to the forest. The charity will accept a donation on site for the day or you have the choice of signing up for a monthly or annual donation to be withdrawn from your account. As a charity donor/member your access to the forest is free of charge. However, you will have to pay for parking at the abundant car park across the road from the entrance to Sherwood Forest. The site has a clean visitor center, with a cafe, and gift shop. As for Sherwood Forest itself, there are three different trails that hikers can take through the woodlands. The Blue trail leads directly to the "Major Oak," the home base for Robin Hood. This nearly 1,000 year old tree is a sight to behold. There are other trees that robbers, highwaymen, and poachers used to stash their loot inside. The green trail takes about an hour and a half to walk and winds it's way around the forest ending up at Robin Hood's Major Oak. The red trail is a longer and a bit more difficult to navigate. This trail takes roughly three hours to complete as it goes deeper into the forest, eventually completing the circuit back to the Major Oak. The old oak tree is a short distance from the visitor center making it the ideal end to a tranquil walk through the woods. Besides the trails, Sherwood Forest hosts a series of events to inspire young archers, sword fighters, and fans of medieval cosplay. If you're a fan of Robin Hood and enjoy fresh air then Sherwood Forest is a must see place about 40 minutes from the city of Nottingham.

Lovely walks and scenery, nice play area for the kids, visitors centre is a great place for a food and drink stop. Quiet in the week but can get busy at weekends.
Kathryn W — Google review
Had a lovely day at Sherwood forest. The visitor centre has gifts etc upstairs, downstairs you can buy something to eat and a drink. Toilets are also downstairs. There's a lift for prams wheelchairs etc. There's a playground for the kids and loads of little shops, an art centre etc opposite the centre. Some of the shops are shut on Monday and Fridays which we didn't know about till we got there but there were a couple open. There's also a tattooist on site I would phone up about appointments first. Parking is £6 for 24 hours in the carpark. The car park is on the opposite side of the road from the site.
Georgina B — Google review
Had a fantastic afternoon at Sherwood Forest. Hadn't realised there was an event on, which made it even better. There were various food vendors, or the cafe to choose from, so we were spoilt for choice. The visitor centre is excellent and the whole area is so well maintained and free from rubbish. There is a playground for the kids and various walks of different lengths, all signposted. We opted for the Major Oak trail which was a steady mile and a half loop, which we took steadily. Parking was abundant but you do have to pay, entry to the forest is however free. So £6 for parking for a day out for five of us is great. There are toilets within the visitor centre and paths around the forest are gravel/stone so slightly uneven but a pair of trainers is all that is required, walking boots not needed. The wood is full of beautiful oak trees, amongst other British species and is a hive of insect and wildlife. The Major Oak is just about hanging in there, but was looking to be in the twilight of its existence. There are some other big oaks that are noted with signs and interesting facts. The area is great for some fresh air and a steady walk, when you need to "touch some grass". No doubt we will be back again there soon.

Really helpful staff. Coffee was very nice. Excellent place to visit, walking trails and playground. Could get round on a mobility scooter but it would have to be a rugged one able to go up hills. Dogs enjoyed walking round.

Historical landmark
The Major Oak, also known as Robin Hood's tree, is an ancient and iconic oak tree steeped in local folklore. Estimated to be over 800 years old, it stands as a symbol of the enduring history of Sherwood Forest. The forest itself is a Special Area of Conservation, boasting a rich ecosystem with over 200 species of spiders and 1500 species of beetles alongside various birds and wildlife. Visitors can explore the extensive paths and trails that wind through the woodlands.
Lovely walks, plenty of places to sit on route. Nice cafe at the visitors centre. Have some great Robin Hood festivals which are well worth visiting. There can be a queue for the car park so factor that into your visit.

Ample parking pay and display but free to RSPB members. There’s a visitor centre with a shop, cafe, kids play area. Well marked paths and tracks throughout the extensive ancient wooded forest. The “Major Oak” is a must see on any walk whilst exploring.

Nice walks around Sherwood forest, including the Major Oak. At over a 1000 years old it's looking it's age with lots of supports and tlc but then again I'd need some help pushing old age! Nice coffee shop before you enter the venue.

Well worth it, such a special land mark in the history of the UK. With well maintained hikes, the visit to the major Oak is a fun activity
Paul — Google review
Not been here since I was a kid so it was great going back. Theres some great walks to do and a superb visitors centre for all your Robin Hood themed things to buy amongst other things.
Rob A — Google review
There are nice walks/trails there. It's an old 800 to 1100 yr old tree propped up with metal poles. The parking is on the opposite side of the road were you enter. It is £6 for all day parking. Even if you only stay for 2hrs, It's still £6!
Gavin B — Google review
Lovely forest to visit but the tree is a bit underwhelming. It’s basically a tree that humans have refused to let nature take its course for the sake of attracting visitors. The tree has so many chains and supports it almost feels cruel. Just let the tree die a dignified death. The forest however, has beautiful trails all through it with some fantastic prep holes set up with info on the oak trees which is a great way to learn about them at all ages.
Zoe M — Google review
Very well maintained tree and forest area. The tree still shows signs of life thanks to the preservation efforts. Love the folklore aspect as well.

Children's amusement center
i-Jump Trampoline Park is a well-run and safety-focused venue that offers fun for all ages. The interactive jump wall and friendly staff make it a great place to tire out the little ones while adults can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Despite slightly expensive admission and food, the well-maintained facilities and helpful staff make it worth the visit. Additionally, their accommodating nature ensures that even with booking issues, everyone can have a great time together.
We came here for the first time today with our 3 & 5 Year Olds. We booked the i-tots session at 10am for under 5’s and it was brilliant. There were plenty of staff supervising different areas and staff all seemed friendly, helpful and easy to approach. Facilities were super clean and tidy and plenty of tables to sit on as well as eating facility. Price to get in was really good. Everyone had soooo much fun, even the parents did. We noticed all the children and parents around us were equally having a fun time. It wasn’t just a large trampoline area, there was also a fantastic giant sponge pit with a rock climbing wall and a balance beam over a different sponge pit. The car park outside was very large too. We had such a good time and we can’t wait to book back in again soon! Thank you so much. 10/10 😊 The only thing I’d like to add is we’d love to have the option to do the i-tots under 5’s session at a later time rather than just 10am.
Chloe M — Google review
it was awful, i do not recommend coming at all, my daughter and her friend got told off 3 times for jumping on the trampolines… they also got told off for using the bathroom then when i came into the toilet to see what was wrong the worker hid? if there’s an issue then talk to me, don’t take it out on 13 year old girls. we booked a 2 hour session and after 40 mins we had left… there is no air conditioning and my daughter almost fainted. safe to say we will not be returning.
Fiona Y — Google review
3 adults 2 juniors and 2 toddlers. All had a great time. Well run safety first. Juniors and toddlers absolutely loved it and never came off only for the occasional drink. Food and drink expensive along with admission but well worth the peaceful night we had. They tired themselves out!
Alison W — Google review
Really poor hygiene, dirty tables with cups and plates of food on tables from previous customers which were not cleaned in the whole time we were there, I asked the staff politely if they could clear the table and was told they haven’t got enough staff, paid for coffee and waited as the coffee machine then broke and ended up asking for a refund and no coffee, not a pleasant visit
Annmarie M — Google review
A bit pricey to enter on a one off but have good offers for regulars. The café and staff are great.
Keith M — Google review
this place wasn’t very good, food is extremely expensive.i would recommend getting food before/after. I took my daughter and her friend (they are 13) and at first it was very good.but then we realised there was no air conditioning expect from where you have to push a button and it comes out of this little “fan” for about 10 seconds. The staff was extremely rude telling them to get off the trampolines when they were just jumping. And just chatting amoungst themselves and not supervising the kids. They also got told off because they went into the toilet together because one of them needed personal hygeine products and didn’t want to ask the staff as they were so rude so asked she asked her friend. Was good price for being there/tickets but the food was extremely overpriced and we was expecting a bit more.it was quite dirty aswell as there was dirt on the tables trampolines are dirty the socks that we bought were disgusting when they wanted to go and I understand it will be hard to clean the trampolines etc but that doesn’t me don’t clean it at all.The foam squares that are meant to be in the pit weren’t even out had a cover on. So the girls came and told me what was going on and we left soon after that we spent about 40 mins there wouldn’t recommend going. And it seems the owner is only replying to the positive comments and not the negative.
Millie C — Google review
Great deals on, lovely staff, it has a small arcade downstairs and a seating area to view the trampoline park upstairs. Only downside was that there were bits of rubbish and tissue all around the trampolines and it was first thing in the morning when we went so id say it wasnt cleaned on a daily basis.
Kerry B — Google review
We held my son’s 7th birthday here. The staff were fab when booking allowing us to move the date of the party after we had paid the deposit. James was our party host, he was great. The kids were in safe hands and he jumped with them helping nervous kids on the high platform and helping my son at the basketball hoop. He kept me informed of what was happening next but in general the grownups could sit and chill knowing he had it in hand, Thank you James!

Performing arts theater
Nestled in the heart of Mansfield, the Mansfield Palace Theatre is a beautifully restored Edwardian venue that has been captivating audiences since its transformation from a cinema in 1953. With its stunning architecture and warm ambiance, it serves as a vibrant hub for live entertainment. The theatre boasts an eclectic lineup of performances ranging from dramatic plays and comedy nights to lively concerts and family-friendly shows like children's productions. Visitors often rave about the engaging atmosphere, though some have noted that seating can be a bit snug.
Lovely old style theatre, small and intimate, so a completely different experience to the larger theatres and arenas. Friendly staff, have some great shows and good views of the stage wherever you sit.
Tracey S — Google review
Small town theatre close to a couple of car parks, in the centre of Mansfield. The stalls slope, so the view is fine. The seats are fairly comfortable, but with limited legroom. It was a warm afternoon when we went, but there was no air conditioning, making it very uncomfortable. I wouldn't go again unless there was something that I really wanted to see.

Lovely experience free to see Gaia in the beautiful setting of the theater and then listen on ear phones to music and local information 😀

My wife and i had a good night watching an adult panto. The sound system needs to be sorted as it is bit loud and illegible at times. This is not the 1st time. We had a coffee at half time. God it was dire. All in all. Yes a good night

This charming eatery promises to whisk you away on a culinary journey filled with rich flavors and aromatic spices that define Indian soul food. Guests rave about the exceptional service, where staff go above and beyond to ensure your visit is memorable. The Butter Chicken is a standout dish, known for its generous portions and delightful taste—perfect for those who love to take home leftovers!
Really good curry and good evening meal. Clean restaurant. The garlic and cheese Naan was amazing. Reasonably priced too. Plenty of choice on the menu. Not easy to park nearby. Would definitely recommend a visit.

where do I start ? nearly waited an hour for it to be served, which was cold when it came out as well. very bland no taste husbands sizzling tandoori mix grill was cold but the tray was hot ???? prawns texture was like mush and supposed to be king prawns but they were tiny little pieces ? both of our naans were cold at the bottom of them and didn't taste nice. just a general customer service was lacking and when the chap asked if we enjoyed our meal my husband said no not rarely and he didn't even question why ????? just hoping to God that I'm going to be okay tonight as I can already feel it sitting right up near my windpipe 🥵

Ordered many times from here and it’s always delivered quickly, still hot and full of flavour. Would recommend highly to anyone in the area.
Meg T — Google review
Had an achari and a bhuna and unfortunately they both tasted the same - excessive amounts of ghee and MSG or salt appear to have been used and that's all you could taste. Acharis are supposed to contain pickled ingredients and there was no pickle flavour coming through at all. Food and drink were also expensive - mains, poppadoms, and one drink each for two came out at over £60. Would recommend the nearby Modhu Mitha or The Chand as the food is far better and much better value for money.

I meet a friend here because it’s half way between the two of us every other month. We have been twice and the food is great , the service is very good and the ambience is just how you want it to be able to chat and hear each other . Can’t fault .

Hands down one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had. Absolutely faultless from the quality of the food to the epic portions! I’m never disappointed and the staff are so efficient and friendly. It’s worth the drive to come here!

We came for the bottomless brunch - abit of a con really. It cost £26 each. Myself and my sister came and we sat down and were given 1 pizza to share, we thought the pizza was really nice. However after the pizza, we weren’t allowed another one (described as bottomless pizza), we had to have slices. You’d think you’d at least get 1 each? The slices were tiny! We were very disappointed. Also, the cocktails were a terrible selection. Do not get the cherry cola! It was terrible we had to send it back. Really bad, had to pay £1.50 for dips. Would not recommend

Visited for Sunday lunch with my partner who has been multiple times before and couldn’t recommend it enough . Decided we wanted to have a drink before being seated for our meal so attended the venue a hour early . We sat on the sofa area near the windows and it was lovely . The lady came over and told my partner our table was ready so we headed over to be seated . Once seated we was asked if we wanted any drinks , the gentleman who served us was really helpful and got my partners drink whilst I decided what cocktail I wanted . It all went downhill from here . Me and my partner was torn between the beef and the lamb ! So we ordered both and decided to share it . The meals came out and waited for our sides to arrive . The server came over in a panic that he had given us the wrong meals , after we discussed we have ordered the beef and the lamb he reassured us that this is what we had . We asked if our sides were on there way as he just stood at the kitchen door staring at our table. He brought over the pigs in blankets and had to be sent back for the extra gravy and mint sauce we had ordered. Me and my partner split our meat and started to tuck in thinking the veg must be on its way … to later discover there was no veg . And it wasn’t lamb . We politely told the young girl and she told us he was new which we sympathised with but I wanted the lamb I had ordered . She lent over took my plate and went . Again me and my partner had split our meats so not only did I end up with the wrong meat but the meat we had actually ordered she had taken without asking . A different Lady then brought over a replacement meal and veg and asked us if we wanted another drink . We ordered some drinks and then was greeted by the young girl asking if everything was ok . I yet again asked is this definitely lamb this time and she said yes it’s definitely lamb . Again it wasn’t lamb . At this point I was put off my meal and didn’t want it anymore . I understand people make mistakes but when they are just point blank lieing and not taking the time to check things it’s rude . We asked for our bill and the meat to be put in a takeaway box to take home for the dogs. The bill arrived and it was simply the bill , no discount or drink knocked off nothing . At this point it was easier to just pay than argue it as our taxi had arrived. £75 down the drain only bonus is the dogs got meat for there tea ! We won’t be recommending this place to anyone in the future . My partner was in disbelief on how awful our experience was compared to his previous visits .

Went here with my family last week after not being in a long time since pre-covid. Unfortunately we were let down on mainly the service. Starting with the atmosphere, the lay-out and look of the restaurant is quite kept up and lovely, unfortunately the natives were out during our time as around 2-4 kids were screaming their heads off while the family didn't seam to bother which made it difficult to talk to a family member who is already slightly deaf. Another negative was the service, though all the staff were very kind and said they will come to us for our drinks first before ordering food, it did take a little while before our drink order was taken. We were informed that food would be at least a 40 minute wait due to the restaurant being busy but unfortunately we ended up waiting nearly 1hr 45 minutes before the service of our food arrived, to which beforehand we got informed 10 minutes after that our food had begun dishing out. The positive aspect would be the food when we finally got it. Both my parents and myself did get our food which was enjoyable. My dad had a big portion of Sausage, Mash, peas with three giant onion rings with Gravy poured around it. My mum had a wrap with a portion of salad, which was full and tasty. I myself being a picky eater stuck with a pizza which was tasty, by only gripe with it was it felt a bit more cheesy which made it feel heavy. It did come with a portion of fries, and they were so tasty! I normally don't pick fries in case they're more chunky chips but these were just right, tasty and full of flavour! Only thing food/drink wise that bothered me was the coke, it was loaded with ice and tasted more soda-water then coke. Overall 3/5 - If we come again during a less busy period in the future we'll see a higher review. We did pay in full for our drinks and food and polite to the staff after our long wait time.

We have been to andwhynot on a few occasions in the last couple of months and I can honestly say it is one of the best venues in Mansfield for a really nice meal. Most recently we visited for Sunday lunch and were served by Clara and the team. All the staff are really friendly and attentive. We ordered three of the duo meat combos and the other person in our party ordered the vegan pie and we can all confirm the food was delicious. On previous occasions I have ordered the trays and burgers which are just awesome! I’m never disappointed by the food here and I always leave very happy. The venue itself is very nice, clean and inviting. It has a steampunk element to it, and it looks quirky, but homely. Personally, I would prefer the music to be a little bit louder in the main dining room as when it does get busy, you can hear a lot of people talking over one another, so the music being a little bit louder would help drown that noise out, but that’s just personal preference. It’s a really nice atmosphere, and I would recommend this venue to anyone for sure. Thank you team andwhynot for never letting us down!

Booked for a large party in a Friday night. Communication was excellent and they were excellent managing the dreaded splitting of the bill. Food ranged from pizza and calamari to a pulled lamb shepherds pie (which I had, and was excellent) all the food was great, well cooked and tasty. Service was attentive, super helpful and happy. Nestled in a cozy corner, Mangrove Restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience that keeps patrons coming back for more. After indulging in their takeaway previously, I was eager to return and dine in. The food did not disappoint; the Mixed Grill Balti and Peppered Lamb Balti were both tender and bursting with flavor. Each dish is crafted with care, from rich curries to freshly baked naan, making every bite a delight.

We ordered takeaway from here a while ago and have been meaning to come back and dine in because the food was outstanding. Today we finally returned and once again were happy with the food, the atmosphere and the service. We had the Mixed Grill Balti and the Peppered Lamb Balti and the meat in each was both delicious and tender. We've never had lamb as good as we've had it from here, though our only criticism is that there should have been more potato in the Peppered Lamb Balti (there was only one piece). The service was attentive, warm and friendly. We can't wait to return here again and bring our friends.

Very nice food, authentic, good customer service but, the wait times were extremely long before the starter, main, dessert. This might have been due to several reasons: 1: Staff shortage 2: Overbooked 3: Both I would definitely recommend

Really nice staff and amazing food. I imagined it’d be good from reviews and the menu but I was surprised! It’s even better than I anticipated! 100% be back again and again. Good pricing for a beautiful, relaxed fine dining experience. Definitely recommend

Only been here for drinks. ALL the staff are lovely and friendly, even when they are busy. Massive garden to the front with lots of tables and seating. Very modern/ upmarket place. Lovely outside in the summer. Thanks

Where to start, staff very friendly and helpful, starters nice, mains is where it went wrong, steak was so chewy I couldn't eat it worst steak iv had in a very long time . Wife said her dinner was nice but nothing special. Because of this we skipped desert, drinks, coffee etc and left. To be fair to the staff we did not get charged for the steak. Overall disappointing evening won't be going back, shame because it's a nice place with nice staff let down by the food.

These days I rarely comments on food and services but when I come across this one I need to. It was a cold Sunday afternoon and the street was quiet, both husband and I was tired and needed to have some food. We came across this restaurant and we just walk in. It's a beautiful warm and charming restaurant. The person that took our orders was smiling and happy. She allowed us to order one set lunch to share. When the food came with great presentation, clean, smooth and simply delicious!!! The mussel was so good with the taste of ocean and butter ! The Sunday Roast my husband clean the plate!! The dessert was smooth, silky and delicious! Good job Chefs!! If I come to this area again. I'll 100% dine here!!

Really friendly family atmosphere, and we were made to feel super-welcome with our baby. We were thoughtfully given a table with plenty of space for a pushchair, and provided with a good highchair. Food is excellent; high quality, imaginative and generous - it's rare to get all three together! Starters were outstanding, good bottle of red, and overall really good value.

Really nice restaurant. Had the portions been just a tad more generous it would have been 4 star. For example my starter of Prawns and pork consisted of a piece of belly pork approx 2 Inch square and 3 prawns and for £9 thought was a tad meagre. All the food served was beautifully presented and the service was excellent. All staff were polite, smart and efficient. If any gripe about the food the vegetables are undercooked which appears to be the way but personally I like them cooked a bit more. But this is a tiny criticism. The place itself is very classy and overall recommend you give it a try.
Malc W — Google review
Delicious! This place feels underrated, it’s really strong especially compared to relatively local competition and delivers some great, elegant, well presented tasty dishes. Think fine dining for some, but without unnecessary faff and with more accessible dishes on the menu. The service is friendly and classy - we’d visit more if we were closer.

Pub
Nestled in the charming village of Blidworth, The Black Bull is a historic freehouse that exudes character with its old beams and inviting fireplaces. Dating back to at least 1730, this former Shipstone's pub has transitioned into private ownership while maintaining its warm atmosphere.
Myself and my partner are in Nottinghamshire visiting family and are stay within walking distance of the pub. Nice quiet pub, with easy access. To the front is a small seating area, to enjoy a pint with friends. Inside has a eating area and a bar/games area. Very clean and friendly public house. We have 2 dogs and was welcomed by a friendly member of staff. The food was to a good standard. Prices of drinks where at a very good price. Well recommended a visit.Well done to all and thank you.

Horrendous Sunday lunch! We're visiting Nottinghamshire with family. Very unknown to the area and stopped off at the nearest chain pub, hoping for a reliable and relatively decent meal before a long drive home. Unfortunately we definitely stopped off at the wrong pub! It was absolutely dead, had a smell of wet dog??? and the chairs were absolutely disgusting. We were starved and in a rush so decided to stay despite all of this. However we then waited 40 minutes for a Sunday dinner, despite it being dead. Having worked as a Marston's pub chef in the past, I'm well aware of the Sunday lunch process and know fine well that we waited for nothing as it's all prepped in advance. This too, was aparent when we received luke warm food. We ordered 4 carverys, a children's carvery and a Mac and cheese starter for one of the little ones. The Mac and cheese was the best thing we ate. Utterly bland meal and quite frankly the most bizarre turkey any of us had ever eaten. It was super dry and yet somehow brittle??? It fell apart in your mouth in the absolute WORST way 🤢 We did complain. First to a lady wearing jeans and a hoodie (professional 🙄) who said 'well turkey is a dry meat". Wow. Then secondly to a guy behind the bar who said he would let the kitchen know. No apology, no offer of a refund or meal change. Nothing. Honestly, if we weren't in a rush and absolutely famished with children we'd have demanded a refund and walked out. Unhelpful staff, vile food and quite frankly a disgustingly dirty pub! Thank the lord this isn't our local! 🤣

Truly shocking on all levels. We went to have a family Sunday lunch and the music levels were like a rock concert you couldn't hear yourself speak. The service was lousy and downright unprofessional both in knowledge and delivery. To top it off the food was downright poor. Chicken cooked within and inch of its life and so dry, don't even bother ordering a steak they've not a clue how to cook one and served with utter apathy. Will not visit again there was 1 meal in the 6 we ordered that was good rest were all below acceptable and 2 downright shocking. Management need to get a grip on this place.
Richard H — Google review
My partner and I are currently waiting for our food that we orderd over 45 minutes ago. There is about four tables sat down, with us included. Two of those have received their food, one of which has had to be taken back to the kitchen. We've heard them complaining about the wait for food also. My partner and I cannot remember the last time we have waited that long for food at any establishment, even places that have been packed with customers! We ordered at 2.45pm and it wasn't until 3.40pm In that time, we've both finished our drinks and my partner has had to order another. My orange juice itself (a small Britvic bottle) cost £2. If I had of known that, I would had ordered something else! My partner also asked to upgrade my chips to cheesy chips for an additional 75p with my steak. When our food finally arrived, 55 minutes later, we were given a side of cheesy chips and told it was an additional £3.70! I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant and wouldn't be able to manage my own meal, let alone extra! The waitress said there was nothing she could do and that my parter had DEFINITELY required a side of cheesy chips, which was not the case at all. She told us she would get her Manager to have a word with us, but five minutes later instead came with £3.70 in change with a not very sincere apology. My steak looked, tasted and smelt horrible - more like pork if anything else, and the garden peas tasted awful with them being from a tin. The chips obviously needed less time or an oil change in the kitchen as they were rock hard. I've literally just finished eating, leaving over half of my food and my belly hurts! We shall not be returning here, and for those that say they've found a hidden gem in this place obviously haven't travelled very far or live under a rock. Utterly disgusted at the wait time, the customer service and the food 🤢

First time back here for a while and we really enjoyed the food. They have various deals on depending on the day you go but we took advantage of 2 meals for £13.75. There was a good choice overall on the menu and although there was a longish wait for our food to come out it was worth it.. The staff member who served us was really helpful and friendly and made us feel really welcome. Would definitely recommend.

Day 3

East side of town
For day 3, we recommend exploring the east side side of town. Start the day off with Mansfield Superbowl, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to The Teahouse. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Bowling alley
Mansfield Superbowl is a fantastic destination for bowling enthusiasts and families alike, featuring 28 lanes that cater to both seasoned bowlers and novices. Whether you're aiming for strikes or just having fun with the kids, this venue promises an enjoyable experience for everyone. With late-night sessions available, you can gather your friends or family for some friendly competition while indulging in delicious burgers and drinks from the bar.
We came here for the first time yesterday for my son’s 6th birthday as a group of 10 people including 4 children. We booked in advance online and when we got there, the lanes were already set up for us with everyone’s names already on the system too which saved so much time. It was great that we were able to keep our shoes on as we haven’t been bowling for over 10 years and we had to swap our shoes back then but when we came here we only had to swap shoes depending on the type of shoes we already had on. We all had a brilliant time bowling and the children loved it too. We then let the children have a game of air hockey before we left which they also loved and had great fun with. Staff were friendly and helpful and overall it was a good atmosphere and we had a really good time. I also felt it was reasonably priced per person. Only thing I’d add is it would be helpful if you could put on the confirmation email when booking, a reminder to bring your socks as my sister arrived in sandals thinking they would have socks and this meant she wasn’t allowed to play at all. Thank you!
Chloe M — Google review
It was overly expensive, but if you buy as part of one of the deals. It makes it more palatable. Food on site is overpriced, especially with three restaurants within walking distance. It was still a fun-filled afternoon with the kids who enjoyed that arcade after an hour of bowling. I would go again, but once every 6 months to a year.
Simon C — Google review
All the family had a great time and had lots of fun. The bowling was a bit expensive but well worth it. We had the bargain bowl and without a time limit we were able to take our time. Don't use the claw machine it's just like the fair. It takes your money and gives tears in return. Food was lovely and the drinks not that badly priced.

Issue with leak in ceiling area whilst bowling. Area was segregated off and Jody and the guys handled situation very professionally. Well done guys. Drinks for bar still available which we were grateful for.

I scored 4* as for about half an hour I was driving around trying to find parking space. Very small car park area however the place itself was a great fun.

Nice bowling but I would think twice about buying food there. The burger I had was the worst I’ve ever had, the burger was not fresh and drier than Gandhi’s flip flop and the bun expiry date was sometime in the 18th century. I would question the 4 ⭐️ hygiene rating but the staff were very friendly so can’t fault them on that.

I was there to play a tournament and its a very good venue for fun and serious bowling for serious bowlers they have the upstairs while fun bowlers have the downstairs section, with bars upstairs and down its the perfect venue.

Lovely soft play! Nice and clean, kids can play to their hearts content for a good 2 hours at really great prices. £6 per child and £1 per adult. Food is great too, much higher quality than I'd have expected for a softplay! Staff are all friendly and approachable. Nothing negative about our experience at all. Happily go back next time we are visiting.

Fantastic Fun for Kids – Highly Recommend! We had an amazing time at Playmania Mansfield! From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and friendly, ensuring everything was clean and well-maintained. The soft play area is perfect for kids of all ages, with plenty of space to run, climb, and explore safely. Our little ones had a blast on the slides, tunnels, and play structures, and we really appreciated the comfortable seating area for parents to relax while keeping an eye on them. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and of great quality – a perfect way to refuel after all the fun! The atmosphere was lively yet safe, and the staff did a great job ensuring everything was in order. It’s a fantastic place for a family outing, especially on rainy days. We will definitely be coming back soon! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I went to this softplay once and decided to book my son’s birthday here as we enjoyed it. 100% recommend. It’s always clean and the softplay it’s self is so good for a wide range of ages. The staff were so nice and helpful throughout. They couldn’t do more to make it easier for us. All the kids loved it and I think it’s such a good value for money.

Chloe was amazing host and Kenzie who helped behind the scenes was amazing too. Both girls did great job and kids had so much fun time. Chloe made sure we are happy with food times and adjusted food as few children could not attend. We got extras based on that which was lovely. Great place and wonderful team for kids party
Lasma V — Google review
Pricing is really affordable. The staff are friendly. The food is really nice for the price. There’s a small area for littles ones to play in which is separated from the area where bigger kids play, so that’s quite nice. It’s spacious enough for you to get involved with your child’s play. Toilets are clean. The parking is nothing to ring home about. It’s a bit tight and generally the parking always seems full but that maybe because it’s shared by other buildings too. Overlooking the parking issue, I would recommend.
Lisa — Google review
I was not happy with the service provided, the food was not nice.I have been to birthdays before where varieties of food will be placed on the table and the kids will pick as many as they want. But at playmania ,it was just one meal. The kids only gets to eat what they pick. They served chips without ketchup. My guest could not eat their food. They told us they reduced the volume of the speaker in the party room when we came in and then later they said its not longer working thats deceptive.I regretted doing my son's birthday there it is the worst experience ever. Which party mum are you referring to? I know you will be surprised to know it was my son's party. We did not get any music, your staff told me the speakers were faulty..... Just go and improve on your service and stop being defensive.

My daughter and I had afternoon tea here yesterday. It was really nice. The food was fresh. Good selection of items for afternoon tea. Beautiful Teashop and lovely staff. The owner was very nice and accommodating. They also do theme nights, which I'm sure we shall be back to join. The menu was great for other occasions. Breakfasts and lunches, or a drink and a snack. The shop itself was decorated lovely, with indoor and outdoor seating. Dogs were also welcome. Set in lovely surroundings in a park. We will definitely go again.

The Teahouse is a little hidden gem in the perfect location, with convenient parking and a lovely park just outside. The decor is beautiful, the music was great and together they create a warm and inviting atmosphere. I was welcomed so warmly by the staff everyone was friendly and lovely. Over the years, I’ve become something of a vegetarian breakfast expert, having sampled many. I can confidently say this breakfast was perfect. The food was hot, not greasy, packed with flavour, and the vegetarian sausages were absolutely delicious. The charming china cups and saucers were a lovely touch that added to the overall experience. I’m genuinely impressed. The place has a calm, beautiful vibe, I highly recommend a visit. I’ll definitely be back!

This is an excellent little tea room. Great selection of food but not an intimidating menu. Lots of choice from cooked breakfasts to afternoon tea and all situated in the converted stables of an old country house. My partner and I had an afternoon tea and we enjoyed it very much. I do have 2 reccomendations, however. The first to the owners. This would be to swap out the current fruit salad in the afternoon tea for some 'fresh' chopped fruits with a small pot of cream. Yes, the cost would be greater but this would add polish and make the afternoon tea all the more decadent. The second is directly to potential customer. BOOK IN ADVANCE. This place is an absolute gem in the surrounding area and can get too busy to accept walk in customers at certain times. The reason is obvious...... The food, the service, the quality and location are close to perfect. Will definitely be visiting again.

The Red Bar and Grill in Mansfield offers a standout Sunday lunch experience, well-deserving of its reputation as one of the town’s best options for a weekend roast. The setting is warm and welcoming, with attentive staff ensuring a smooth dining experience even when the venue gets busy. So booking on Sunday is advisable. The centrepiece of the meal—the Sunday roast—is excellent. Meat options are succulent and cooked to perfection, complemented with flavourful trimmings and vegetables that are clearly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Portion sizes hit the mark, neither skimpy nor overwhelming, and the presentation is on par with what you’d expect from an established grill. However, when exploring extras alongside your Sunday lunch, such as additional sides or vegetables, prices can feel slightly expensive compared to similar local establishments. While the extras are of a high standard and do enhance the meal, budget-conscious diners may want to keep this in mind if they’re planning a full Sunday lunch. Overall, the Red Bar and Grill succeeds in making Sunday lunch special, thanks to its combination of superb food, enthusiastic service, and a lively atmosphere. If you’re looking for a step above the average Sunday roast and don’t mind stretching your wallet for a few add-ons, this spot is a great pick for a relaxed, quality Sunday meal.

The beef burger was juicy and packed with flavor—gone in minutes! Crispy fries on the side were a great bonus. But the real star? That strawberry milkshake. Sweet, creamy, and straight-up addictive. Friendly staff, fast service, chill vibes. Can’t wait to come back

At £17 for a burger and fries I thought it might of been something special. Burger was of good quality however did not impress for price point. Chips were good crispy on outside, soft on inside and seasoned. Service was friendly and fast. Being packaged in a box was a nice touch. Only problem here is it’s overpriced, bring the price down or make the burger more impressive. Also 60p for a tiny dip pot come on now.

The food on both of my visits was nothing short of fresh and tasty! On the first visit, I had a Mexican (smash burger). This came with fries, but the drink was not included. The total was £11 but totally worth it. The portion sizes of the seasoned fries are good, and the chips were also very fresh with plenty of seasoning. The second visit, again, I tried peri peri burger with fries, this was also made to perfection, and they do not hesitate to give you sauces! The staff are friendly and always smiling and great at making recommendations and also gave me extra sauces to try! Overall, for the price, they are definitely worth it and I would recommend! Great presentation too!

How can you get something so wrong? I asked for a plain burger but clearly wasn’t. Even better I am allergic to onions. Rang them up to tell them about the situation, granted I wasn’t in the best of moods because of the burger. However with them saying I could get another burger if I made my way to the store , this was not possible therefore I was left with a wasted burger and couldn’t receive another due to no personal drivers for the shop.

Delicious burgers paired with a generous serving of crispy fries. Unfortunately, this time, my burger was a bit too charred, leaving it slightly overcooked, but the flavours still made up for it.

Has this delivered by accident on uber eats. The app put the order through and payment went through without asking for confirmation or applying discount. £15.80 for cheesefield town burger and fries. No way would I have paid this for a cheese burger and chips. It was nice, portions big. Now I'm being stalked by the uber app for ratings. It came in a big cardboard box, maybe this was the expensive part

We love it here! I come on sunny days and Rainey. My little girl loves the toddler session in the term time and singing and dancing with the mascots that week. It's a good place for the kids but recently have been told children's beakers/bottles aren't allowed in, and instead they can provide paper cups. My son is not even 2 years old so I asked if they had lids. She said no but they have straws. That's useless because my son will pick it up and pour it down him. I agreed anyway and that's exactly what ended up happening. A cup of water covered him and my leg. And we were also told the cup isn't allowed on the table.. and this is for allergy reasons. Who is allergic to water? I don't see why my sons anti-leak bottle is a problem or a threat to people with allergies. I haven't been back and I will go elsewhere. There are other places that don't have this silly rule.

My son loves this place. Great size and very spacious. Chips are lovely too!

Its not a bad place for kids to have fun,but coffee lacks flavour and its a big surprise to ask for a double espresso and to have it served in a huge mug.

Last year, we hosted a birthday party for our son and had a lovely experience, so we decided to do it again this year. However, this time things went quite badly. As soon as our Asian friends entered the party venue, they were told not to place water bottles on the table – yet this rule didn’t seem to apply to the British guests. There wasn’t enough time to set up the cake or take photos. The two staff members seemed to be in a rush to finish their shift, almost like they were trying to get rid of us. After cutting the cake, no one told us there was any left, so we assumed it had all been handed out. But after we left, we received a phone call saying half the cake hadn’t been cut yet and we needed to go back to collect it. Then, halfway through our return journey, we got another call saying they were closing and couldn’t wait for us.

We have been a few times and so far definitely never disappointed. everything was perfect. The food is delicious and well presented. The people who work there are all lovely. The place is on the smaller side but that didn't matter. the atmosphere was lovely and calm but wasn't too quiet 😉👌

We booked lunch at this pub fir 3 ladies celebrating friendship and a upcoming wedding. It was Absolutely fabulous 👌, food was cooked to perfection, all fresh, service was great, very attentive and do friendly. Definitely recommend. Compliments to the chef and all of the team. Thankyou. 🥰

What amazing food! We did have to wait quite a while for our orders but everything seemed to have been made fresh from scratch, so no complaint there. Meals were very fairly priced. I'm lactose intolerant and when asked if there was a dairy-free cappuccino, he said he had dairy-free milk of his own so he would use that if necessary. The cappuccino was great and the servers couldn't do enough for you. I will definitely be wating here again.

If you're on the hunt for a treasure trove of unique finds, look no further than the Victoria Antiques Centre. This charming destination is filled with an eclectic mix of items that cater to all tastes, making it a delightful experience for both seasoned collectors and casual browsers alike. Visitors rave about the friendly and approachable staff who create a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring you feel right at home as you explore. Each visit promises something new; it's like stepping into an Aladdin's cave where hidden gems await discovery.
What a fabulous find. The staff are amazing and what a cornucopia of antiques. You will find what you want here. Spoilt for choice and will definitely be back soon. Prices are sensible and there are some real hidden gems. Ask to see the “special clock”. Stunning
Paula C — Google review
Bit of an odd experience. Walked round the place and was followed round by 2 older gentleman which made looking feel really uncomfortable. No decent antiques just a bunch of garbage in my opinion
Nathan S — Google review
Two very friendly guys greeted us on arrival. Lot's of antiques with only a small amount of newer items. Slightly pricey but if theh have what you want there's a deal to be done. Lot's of parking available

Great place with lots of choice of old antiques and bic a brac, if a tad expensive.
Brett A — Google review
Creepy old man and creepy son, followed me round the shop asking me what I was buying then not letting me just look in peace, constant questioning, made me feel uncomfortable and made sexual and derogatory comments about me, comments about what I was wearing and generally a misogynistic attitude, I smiled and laughed it off but for someone with less grit this would be a horrible situation, the youngest lad was ok but the older 2 need to sort it out, wanted £25 for a modern £10 lava lamp! wont be going again, if youre under 40 and female expect to be questioned, annoyed and followed round and made to feel very uncomfortable! Prices are horrendous and most of it has been there for some time
LadyElectaDubz — Google review
This is a proper hidden gem. There’s something in here for everyone. There’s so much that you’ll have to walk round a few times to make sure you’ve seen everything! The prices are very reasonable but they’re happy to budge on the price as long as you’re reasonable. The owner is very knowledgeable of all the items in there and is happy to tell you some history about what you’re interested in. Easy to park right outside which is handy if you get carried away and end up coming home with more stuff than anticipated!

Burger King is a renowned fast-food chain that has carved out a special place in the hearts of burger lovers everywhere. Known for its flame-grilled burgers, crispy fries, and delightful shakes, it offers an array of delicious options. The star of the menu is undoubtedly the Whopper Sandwich—a mouthwatering creation featuring a hefty portion of grilled beef topped with fresh tomatoes, crunchy lettuce, creamy mayonnaise, zesty ketchup, pickles, and onions all nestled within a toasted sesame seed bun.
I am sharing my best experience my frind Vinni at Burger King Mansfield is always friendly and welcoming! Her customer service is top-notch, and she serves with a smile every time. She keeps the place clean and organized, making every visit pleasant. Vinni is quick, efficient, and never misses a detail in the order. Her positive attitude brightens up the whole store. Highly recommend stopping by when she’s working – 5-star service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I never write reviews, i found this place absolutely shocking. Writing this as i’m waiting for my order (which has been over 40+ minutes, yes, i’ve checked the time on my receipt and the time now) I don’t know if they are understaffed or what (i’ve seen 4 people in the kitchen at most) but they only prioritise just eat orders, deliveroo, uber eats and so on. The machines where you get your drinks from don’t work. And now i’m worried we will go over the 2 hour parking limit for waiting so long. Also, the bins are overflowing 🤢 Edit #1: the lady in front of me has just asked for a refund because she can’t wait any longer. Edit #2: We got our order after 45 minutes!! but of course some of the stuff was missing.. absolutely outrageous, it’s like they have no coordination whatsoever. Guy at front shouts the order number and when you come over, he just tells you that he’s starting to prepare your order now. Edit #3: my coke is flat
F — Google review
A 35 minute wait for an order, with only 2 other physical orders in the store. Items missing off the order once we took it home. A burger which was turned into a triple without being ordered and was cold. Another burger which wasn't even on the order, and still somehow came squashed and burnt to the extent it was as dry as leather. A spicy chicken royale, where the staff were repeatedly asking which of the waiting royales was the spicy one. After 5 minutes they took them all to the back to open them up to find the spicy one, and it still was served cold. After 30 minutes and having to ask for the order, the staff didn't give a response and instead seemed to bag what they could and got the order wrong. The counter was swarming with delivery drivers who were also waiting over half an hour for their orders. Poor service, staff who didn't seem to know what was going on and a wrong order with items missing and the wrong ones added after 35 minutes
Lewis — Google review
Unexpectedly small 🤯 My hand is already small like a child hand ✋🏻 but this burger was even smaller. And they forgot to put sauce in 🍔, I tried to tell them but all of the stuffs were just way too enjoy their own conversation, didn’t realize I was standing there and ask for help. Not a good experience.

The Toilets were locked. Asked a lady nicely for the code and she ingored me and my kids 3 times. In the end she told the manager (i think) for the code. To which he opened the door. But when I spoke to him, he igored me as well. Soo rude, We shortly left Burger king and went to mc Donalds round corner.

Quite clean, Angus burgers are very good in all BURGER KING chains,I try not to eat it very often but it's definitely better than McDonald's
DAN S — Google review
I like the plant based whopper, it's very nice. however, it takes forever to receive the food, it takes ages for the drive through person to actually take our order. the waiting time is ridiculous. we waited for around 7 minutes just for someone to say that they will be with us when they can. then it took and extra few minutes. it's called fast food for a reason. and it wasn't even busy so there is no excuse for them being slow. They even gave me a MEAT WHOPPER on time, when I asked for a plant based. I am very very angry with the people who did this and you're lucky I didn't get you into trouble for it. never coming back!!!! It always seems so empty too. barely any staff. everytime i go past, it is so dead, it might as well be closed But like I said, the plant based whopper (when I actually get it) is very nice and the fries are decent. it is very expensive for a basic meal that takes forever to recieve.
Jess G — Google review
I am very willing to say this Burger King is the worst fast food place I have ever been to. Ive visited aroud 4-5 times and am always shocked by the long wait time for orders, dirty floors, and the incorrect orders. Id be suprised if anyone working has actually completed training. Considering the dirtiness of the seating area, I dread to think about how seriously food hygiene is taken. Today i saw the bin be emptied and the bin bag just left on the floor next to it inside where people were eating, a broom was left right by the door, blocking it, there were fries, receipts and dirty napkins on the floor. I physically could not recommend this place to anyone without guilt hanging over me for the rest of my life 🚨🚨🚨

Pub
Rushley is a popular local pub known for its cozy ambiance and friendly staff. Visitors have had memorable experiences, with one mentioning the exceptional service from a barmaid named Rachel. The food has received positive feedback, particularly the loaded fries topped with pulled pork and BBQ sauce. Another visitor appreciated the accommodating service, especially in addressing their tomato allergy. Overall, Rushley seems to be a welcoming and value-driven establishment that leaves guests impressed and satisfied with their meals.
Daughter took me for a birthday treat with my grandchildren and wife. A very spacious place with plenty of tables. The food was very good much better than the usual pub grub some establishments concoct and try to pass off as freshly prepared. A nice table service as well. I would certainly go again we were all impressed even the children and they can be fussy eaters at times! I was surprised that they weren’t more busy given the quality of the food.

Marston chain pub,ok for the price.Tomato soup lovely, cauliflower buffalo wings tasty but too expensive for 3!.Cheese and pickle sandwich and fries was mostly pickle and a sprinkle of cheese with a child portion of fries.Could be great but sadly lacking as a few more fries and a bit more cheese for the price wouldn't break the bank.

Booked a table at 5.15pm, got there at 5.25pm due to traffic and table wasn't ready, said ok we will pick a random table as it wasn't busy at all, we choose one next to the window to see kids playing outside but the table had some mugs and cups and a empty bowl from previous customers, as we were being escorted by an employee we thought the table will be cleaned, we ordered via QRcode and the drinks came first and I asked if someone can sort the table first, lad was surprised that I'm asking that and he took all the empty glasses but the table still bit dirty and crumbs on it, I've went to the bar and asked to hand me some wipes to do it myself and stuff being very polite they handed me couple of wipes🤔. When the food came I have asked for the supervisor to tell him our experience...I have learned form that chat that I was to blame cuz I was supposed to pick a different table them being busy and didn't got time (as said they were aware that we picked that table), The reservation was made the same day in the morning so technically was plenty of time to sort out a table of 4 in the first place. Food was good though, at least kitchen staff know what they're doing. Unfortunately we will never come back and will never recommend this pub to anyone.

I visited for the first time around 2 weeks ago and was absolutely blown away by the service! My waitress Izzy was amazing from start to finish and really made our experience. She was nothing but attentive and made us all feel very welcome. We can’t wait to visit again.

We booked here for my father-in-laws birthday and it was amazing! We were quite awkward and made the reservation for 9 people the day before but we were so lucky to get a table! We were served by a lovely server named Alex and she was so accommodating! She helped me deliver drinks to the table (as I only have use of one hand and struggled getting them there) she offered to help and made me feel very comfortable from the get-go! The food was delivered very quickly and tasted great! I ordered the ultimate southern fried chicken burger and it was perfect! Between the table we ordered quite a variety of food and they were all good portions and cooked perfectly! We also brought a birthday cake that was brought out after our meal and they were so sweet helping us celebrate!!

Placed an order for delivery at 7:30 said 75 minutes until it arrives. Didn’t arrive until 9:50pm which was 2 hours 20 minutes. Rang several times no answer. When they did answer they said on 2 different occasions the food was on its way for it to not turn up until another 30 mins later. No apologies off the staff. Wouldn’t recommend.

Appears nice, clean area, 3 parking spaces, nice selection available. Unfortunately I paid for a can of drink and a small chips and coat £5... this is price that belongs at a beach not a Small town in Nottinghamshire. Staff were very short and sharp, other similar shops are so friendly, chatty and talk to you like you're their neighbour. It is sad to see that staff can't show friendliness to people, unless it's their routine customers. First impressions really matter. The chips really needed just a little longer in the fryer to get that crisp. Second time was worse as staff was horrible, I never felt so uncomfortable in a fish and chip shop! I visited 3 times this week purely close to my work and short of time. I will not be attending this establishment due to the staff unfriendliness to new customers. I hope you the best

Me and the Mrs got a “large” bag of chips, tray of donner meat, pot of curry, 2 sausages plain, gravy for £30 my god am I disgusted when I open bag to hand full of chips “large” my backside. Then £9 for tray of meat… half empty tray the tray was tiny too. All round for £30 I’d rather drive to Buxton which is 50 minutes away spend £30 plus fuel on a proper chippy with proper portions for more money. Be better guys. I work hard for my money I expect the portions to match the cost!

Great service (thanks Joanna!). Nice atmosphere and the food was great too. We would definitely come back again. Drinks are perhaps a little more expensive than you'd expect (£6.29 for a pint of Stella), but overall it's worth the visit.

Eaten here a few times but this last experience knocked all the others out of the park, Lisa was a fantastic host, very polite and engaging, food was to die for, had what I couldn't finish boxed up to enjoy all over again later on. Both hubby and myself very happy and will certainly be back. Might I add I am gluten free due to allergens and the choices available for pasta, pizza, garlic breads, desserts are really good, its nice not to be stuck with 2 options primarily a salad or jacket potato, to be catered for in an Italian is just lovely 😊

Went here for mine and my girlfriend's 1 year anniversary. The food was absolutely amazing and the wait was completely worth it. If you like a nice peaceful chat while you wait for your food then this is the perfect place. Our server, Chloe, provided amazing service for the two of us and answered all the questions we had. We ordered some mozzarella sticks for our starter. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Milanese and I had the Lasagne and they were delicious, 10/10. We had the brownie for desert and it was the BEST brownie I have ever had. Chloe for #1 employee of the year!! Chloe for Prime Minister!!

Another weekend, another restaurant adventure 🍴✨ This time it was “Bella Italia” 🇮🇹. That’s the joy of being a foodie — you just want to try every cuisine 😋. We walked in and took a seat 🪑. The place was super tidy 🧼, the lighting was awesome 💡, and the interiors looked beautiful 🎨. A smiling lady 😊 came over to take our order — a glass of wine 🍷, a beer 🍺, and Lasagne 🥘. The taste was amazing 🤤 but our stomachs weren’t full yet 🙈. So, we ordered a spicy sausage pasta 🌶️🍝 with another beer 🍺. And wow, when they said “spicy,” they meant it 🔥🔥 — our taste buds were tingling! 👅✨ It turned into such a lovely afternoon 🌞. My wife even said, “this is the first time I liked everything we ordered” 💕. Great taste ✅, well priced 💰, and full of happy moments 🥳. If you haven’t visited this place yet, I’d highly recommend it 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Served by Lisa during quiet lunch. She was very bubbly and attentive. We'd ordered the 3-for-1 Spritzers and she corrected us when we'd ordered the wrong thing so we'd still get the discount. So happy she didn't just go with it, saved us a fortune and we would've been very upset if she hadn't mentioned anything. Would love to come again.
