Nestled in the heart of Loreto, the Sanctuary of the Holy House of Loreto, or Basilica della Santa Casa, stands as a beacon for pilgrims and visitors alike. This revered site is steeped in tradition, believed to be the very home where the Virgin Mary lived and was raised. According to legend, angels transported this sacred house from Palestine to Italy on December 10th, 1294.
Beautiful basilica perched high on a hill. The importance is profound as it is the home of the birthplace of Mary, brought here by the crusaders. The reverence with which visitors enter the chambers is amazing. What a wonderful place to visit, and quite serendipitous on our part as it was an unplanned stop. Definitely worth seeing.

Ever wonder what happened to the house of the Virgin Mary Mother of Jesus? The house without the foundation was believed to have been brought by the angels in Loreto Italy in the middle of the road. The foundation of the house is in Israel though. The house is now housed inside a beautiful church in Loreto, Italy. We drove there from. Rome and took us about 3 and a half hours. See the church at night or might as well attend a mass at night and during the day. The place is beautiful and quiet. Parking during our visit was challenging. Make sure you have Euros in cash/coins to pay for parking. When we were there, it won't take credit and one miraculous moment, someone gave us coins to pay for parking! An angel sent by Jesus or Mama Mary! Praise God! You cannot take pictures i side Mother Mary's house. But once inside, you can see even some of Jesus scribbles on the wall 😀

Visiting the Madonna’s House in Loreto was a deeply moving and spiritual experience. This sacred place, known as the Holy House, is believed to be where the Virgin Mary lived and received the Angel Gabriel’s announcement. The story of how this humble home was miraculously transported from Nazareth to Loreto in the 13th century adds a sense of wonder and faith to the site. Inside the beautiful basilica that protects it, I felt a profound peace and connection to centuries of devotion.

Deeply religious experience. The crusaders moved Mary's house (the part that was built outside of the grotto) to Loreto, Italy. It's amazing.

Beautiful square with the 1614 fountain and the basilica which houses what is believed to be the house of Saint Mary, mother of Jesus, in Nazareth. Masses are held several times a day; a good time for a tourist visit might be between 12:30 and 5:00 PM. Parking lots outside the walls are charged from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm € 1.40/hour € 10 all day, a short distance away there are also large parking lots both free and charged. Toilets € 0.50 at the small gardens behind the square. If you limit yourself to this and to walking along the main street with the businesses, the visit can take an hour and a half. There is also more to see and the visit can take up the whole day. The Museo Pontificio Della Santa Casa € 8 and the patrol walkways € 5 these only with guided tour ( 5 per day the first at 10) their cumulative ticket € 10. "Porta della Marina" from 1534, near has the panoramic terrace, the small park of remembrance, the“holy staircase” of 400 steps and the Polish war cemetery. Free admission for the permanent mechanical nativity scene 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2:30-7:30 p.m. and the small air force museum from July to September daily 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m., an airplane of the “Frecce Tricolori,” is exhibited outside the “round tower” . The Roman Gate of 1590, near the civic tower of the 17th, and of course you can also walk all the way around the defensive walls. According to tradition, in 1291, angels transported three walls of Our Lady's house from the cave in Nazareth, to which it was connected by the fourth wall, to the town of Rijeka in Croatia. They then moved it to the vicinity of Ancona. After 9 months, another transfer took place, this time to Porto Recanati on the property of a noblewoman named “Loreta”. After her name, the statue on display in the house was called “Madonna di Loreta” or “Vergine Lauretana”, but it burned down in a fire in 1921 and the statue on display today is a copy from 1922. Again the angels, after 8 months, moved the house to another private property, but in 1294 they lifted it into the air again, finally depositing it on the top of a hill, and the shrine and city of Loreto was founded around it. According to another, more historical version, it was the Crusaders, nearing defeat in the Last Crusade, who dismantled the house. The transport to Italy from Palestine was carried out by the "Angeli" family, a real Italian surname, and over the years this gave rise to a misunderstanding that confused them with heavenly angels. Having become a pilgrimage destination in 1468, work began on the construction of the basilica. In the 16th century Donato Bramante created the fine marble facing that covers the outer walls of the “Holy House". The city's mighty city walls were built between 1518 and 1522 to resist possible attacks by the Turks who landed on the coasts plundering the villages, an earlier wall from 1315 defended pilgrims and their donations from bandits. The basilica''s exterior was completed in 1587 while work on the interior decorations ended a few years later.

The venue offers a spacious area for concerts and exhibitions, with ample toilet facilities available. Nestled in the charming town of Recanati, the Museo Civico Villa Colloredo Mels is a delightful gem that offers visitors a rich tapestry of history and art. This beautifully organized museum features an engaging section dedicated to emigration, showcasing the poignant stories of those who left Italy in search of new lives abroad. The interactive displays allow guests to trace the journeys of early emigrants from Europe, providing a heartfelt perspective on their struggles and aspirations.
Beautiful museum with some masterpieces by Lorenzo Lotto but also some other great paintings and ceramics. The palace is great, the lighting of the rooms is excellent and there is a great selection of pieces. Also the part on emigration from Marche is also interesting. A must see if you are in Recanati.

This Museum was a real surprise. I have stayed in Recanati many times but only just discovered the Museum of Emigration. There was so much to take in, I went back 3 times. A fascinating history of the many people who left Italy to find another life in other countries. Some very moving stories and quite an eye opener to wonder how difficult life must have been to leave your community and take a dangerous journey half way around the world, not even knowing what was in store at the end of your journey.

It is very nice to review the history of our ancestors from that perspective. Highly recommended!! For students and teachers, entry is also free, an interesting fact. (Original) Un muy bello museo. (Translated by Google) Beautiful house museum located in the heart of the town of Recanati, known to most for the human and artistic life of the great Giacomo Leopardi. Inside the museum there is a section dedicated to emigration from the Marche over the previous two centuries, an archaeological section with evidence of the very distant past of the Piceno area, and on the second floor the heart of the museum with the (amazing) works of art by Lorenzo Lotto. Three works that alone could constitute the heart of the greatest museums in the world, especially the grandiose Polyptych of San Domenico, dating back to the early 16th century, into which Lotto infused all his mastery. Truly a breathtaking masterpiece. I absolutely recommend the visit, the ticket for which is really inexpensive, to all visitors to the historic center of Recanati.

Rather fascinating due to the presence of a portal surmounted by a clock and from which it is possible to admire the panorama below. There was a small stage during my visit so I assume small events are organised. (Original) Visitato solo il cortile (anche perché non so se si può accedere all'interno; una porzione è adibita a liceo classico). (Translated by Google) Designed by the architect Giuliano da Majano in 1473, the façade and interior were completely transformed in 1729 by the architect Pietro Augustoni after the purchase of the palace by the Carradori family. In the 19th century, the rooms were decorated by Moretti Francesco Saverio. The internal courtyard still retains the original design, the capitals of the columns bear the coats of arms of the families who owned the palace, an arched balcony overlooks the Adriatic coast and when the sky is clear you can see the mountains of Dalmatia; above it stands a clock with the writing "Volat irreparabile tempus". The gardens in front, now public and inaugurated in 1936, belonged to the palace and were connected by an underground tunnel. Currently owned by the municipality, it is home to the "G. Leopardi" Classical High School and some Cultural Associations. It is definitely worth a visit, an unmissable stop on a visit to Recanati. (Translated by Google) Inside the courtyard, there's a small balcony with a beautiful view of the horizon. From here, you can see the sea. The construction history of the palace that Venieri had built in Recanati can be reconstructed with a good deal of certainty thanks to the archival studies of Vogel and Benedettucci, which have helped dispel many doubts about the building's early history. The start date of construction can be dated around the first months of 1473. Thanks to studies conducted by Vogel in 1815, published by Giannuzzi and repeated by Benedettucci in 1884, it emerged that the task of designing the building had been entrusted to the Tuscan architect Giuliano da Majano. The appearance that the palace would have had according to the fifteenth-century design is difficult to reconstruct today because subsequent events have significantly altered its form. It must have been an imposing quadrilateral building with four floors above ground, arranged around a central courtyard with five intersecting spaces on each side, following a typically Tuscan design also found in other palaces designed by Majano, such as the Pazzi and Quaratesi palaces. Casa Leopardi is a must-visit attraction in Recanati, known as the birthplace of the renowned poet Giacomo Leopardi. The historic home features his library and personal memorabilia, offering visitors a glimpse into his life and work. Exploring the town, you'll encounter various landmarks referenced in Leopardi's poems, such as St. Agostino's Church and Teatro Persiani.

The outdoor area of Bar Pizzeria Mirò di Cipolletta Mirco is both attractive and sophisticated, although it contrasts slightly with the interior decor. Osteria di Via Leopardi is a charming, relaxed eatery situated in the heart of Recanati. It offers traditional local cuisine in an informal and cozy ambiance, complete with terrace seating. The restaurant incorporates a rustic vibe and takes a fresh approach to classic cooking. The menu boasts delectable dishes that are highly recommended, such as the fish and chickpea pasta, which is perfectly balanced in flavor.
I loved the place, quiet and nice. Wonderful meals. Amazing desserts!

Fish and chick pea pasta was great. Just right. Stand out dolce. Pistachio semifreddo is recommended. Great for lunch today.

Regarding the food, the menu was great and interesting with uncommon dishes; they mixed traditional dishes with novelty in a nice way. Regarding the service, it was very slow and the waitresses were not attentive. Great atmosphere.

We have been going to this restaurant since 2015. We live 2 hours away and can say that it is worth the drive. They change their menu from time to time but everything they put on it is delicious, from appetizers to dessert.

Italian restaurant
La Bottega del Villaggio is a delightful culinary spot nestled in the charming streets of Recanati, where you can savor exquisite dishes crafted from high-quality local ingredients sourced from the pristine lands of Marche and the Adriatic Sea. The restaurant boasts an inviting atmosphere with outdoor seating on cobbled streets, making it perfect for enjoying a meal al fresco. Inside, guests are treated to a cozy ambiance complemented by attentive service that goes above and beyond to enhance your dining experience.
The restaurant is very charming, on a cobbled street with tables outside. We sat inside which was also amazing, the service was good, the food was delicious and everything was made with fresh local produce. There were good wine options and the price was very fair. The only point of improvement from my point of view is that the menu of the day is given by the waitress and is not printed on any menu, unfortunately my memory is bad and this makes decision time more difficult, but this does not diminish the quality of the service. restaurant. I recommend.

Given what we have eaten and payed the proverb written in one of the restaurant's blackboards holds true: "as the fox caught in a trap once said, sometimes you go for a bargain and end up robbed instead". That says enough: food is not bad, but is far too expensive and the service had great room for improvement

Wonderful staff, delicious food. We had a lasagne and a duck leg with spinach for dinner. It was perfectly prepared and felt like a warm hug of a meal.

First there is not much to choose from. Even though we ordered normal things, quite much was out. we ordered an antipsti that they didnt have, we ordered a main food that they didnt have either and if that wasnt enough the desert wasnt there. The people there were not that friendly and we waited a lot. To our order for the desert we got a simple „no“ as an answer. So we chose different stuff (after 10minutes he came and we got the dessert we wanted). The risotto was pretty good and as antipasti the melted cheese was nice too. But as a main food the lasagna was way too small and that for 10€. Overall the prizes are quite high but the restaurant has a sweet ambiente. So if you have a good amount of money and are not that picky what food you want, or you can decide quick for something else, you can go there. The food was quite good.

Nice location and very polite staff. I do not know if the other meals were delicious, but ragout on my pasta looked like cat food and was not my taste. Burrata was very good.

Nestled in the charming town of Recanati, Borgo Antico offers a dining experience that is as rich in history as it is in flavor. Originally a grain storage for an affluent family and later transformed into a wine cellar, this unique venue exudes character. The ambiance is cozy and romantic, making it perfect for intimate dinners. We had a great meal in a very unique setting. Info on the table said it was first used to store grain for the wealthy family that owned it. Then it was used as a wine cellar. Door is located on an alley that you can only walk to, so finding parking nearby is hard. All the people were very friendly.

(Translated by Google) I went with my family (2 young children) to this park after asking for information from a local person who told me there was a play area and a kiosk where you can eat. The park is also beautiful, done on levels, equipment area for gymnastics and a nice play area (as I was told). Unfortunately (and for this reason only 2 stars) there are no signs inside the park (zero: you will only find wooden arrows as in the photo, on which there is nothing written), furthermore I did not find the kiosk, because it seems to be on the lower level, but it's not clear which way to go because there are many descents but without any indications... furthermore, the kiosk (which I later read was a pub) didn't answer the phone. Too bad... I would suggest putting some indications, also to find the exit, since you can get lost inside.

On the ground floor are the educational facilities, on the upper floors are the guesthouse with 40 beds and the administration. In the city of Recanati, thanks to its proximity to the sea and its exposure, there are vegetation formations typical of the Mediterranean scrub. Despite being an urban park, Villa Colloredo is very interesting from a naturalistic point of view, in particular there is a mature and stratified plant cover where you can identify the different layers of the forest (arboreal, shrubby, herbaceous) with native plants of high naturalistic value and where a consolidated and stable fauna community lives (passerines, nocturnal birds of prey, small mammals and insects). 🐼The different types of users (schools, families, trainees, tourists, etc.) who experience the Park have the opportunity to experience different educational activities of its kind, thanks to its precious architectural and historical floristic heritage. Presence of nature trails with educational/informative noticeboards, points of interest such as the Butterfly Garden and Botanical Garden, educational meadow with Orchids and other spontaneous Bulbous plants, area for the reception of exotic turtles, wildlife area for common tortoises (Testudo Hermanni) and Domestic Composting area. The catchment area of the CEA is vast and varied given its position between two provinces, its proximity to protected areas such as the Conero Park, Fiastra, Ripabianca di Jesi, the Selva di Castelfidardo). A hilly area but close to both the sea and the Apennines. Therefore the CEA Villa Colloredo WWF addresses all environmental issues, from nature conservation to energy, from pollution to resources. The first news of the Villa Colloredo Mels Park dates back to 1817. The Gregorian Catasto, at table 3, identifies the area of the park, once a Jewish cemetery, left to vegetable gardens and partly uncultivated. The Colloredo Mels family purchased the villa from the Antici dell'Aquila 1684. In 1835, the Colloredo family purchased the other plots surrounding the villa and transformed them into an English park, as shown by the maps of the city of Recanati of 1873 in which the area is no longer divided into vegetable gardens. In these plans, the hunting roccolo does not yet appear to have been built. During the twenty years of fascism, the park was dismembered to build road junctions and the ring road. In the 1940s, the Marquis Rodolfo left everything to the Holy House of Loreto. In the 1970s, the Municipality of Recanati purchased the entire property to use it as a public utility. Restoration in 1979-80. In the early 1980s, it was managed by a zoophilic society. The Zoo was then dismantled. (Original) Parco pubblico. Orario apertura: ore 7.00-20.30 estivo, maggio - settembre, ore 7.00-19.00 invernale, ottobre - aprile.

The presbytery includes the "papal" high altar and the wooden choir. Along the right nave, from the presbytery, are the altars of San Carlo Borromeo, San Filippo Neri, Madonna and saints, San Liborio. Along the left nave, starting from the back of the church, there is the baptistery; below are the chapels of Our Lady of Sorrows and of the Blessed Sacrament equipped with a wooden choir. On the left side of the presbytery there is the chapel with the three urns of the bishops Angelo di Bevagna and Nicolò Dalle Aste, and of Pope Gregory XII. Adjacent is the chapel of the relics, among which those of the Holy Cross and the reliquary with the arm bone of San Flaviano, donated by Pope Gregory XII, are worth mentioning. THE CRYPT preserves the remains of the first cathedral: traces of frescoes of the Virgin of Sorrows at the foot of the Cross, and of San Sebastiano; stone capitals placed at the base of the terracotta columns. Cardinal Tommaso Antici, who died in 1812, and Bishop Luigi Cossio who died on 3 January 1957 are buried in the two sepulchral urns. (Translated by Google) Beautiful tower of medieval origin, which stands out in Piazza Giacomo Leopardi, whose statue faces it. It gives that magical atmosphere to the large square and is a symbol of the city. Over the centuries it was supposed to represent the three castles on the hill, then it gradually remained isolated, which is why it takes on solemnity. In the same square there is the nineteenth-century Town Hall, the church of S. Domenico and commercial activities that animate and liven it up. The tower has a square base of 9 m on each side and is 36 m high; internally it has four floors and on the top it has a panoramic terrace. It can be visited inside at the scheduled times, accessing from the east side. The upper cell houses the bells. It features a bas-relief depicting the Translation of the Holy House on the southern side, and a clock from 1516. On the western side there is the city coat of arms with the rampant lion (work by A. Sansovino), and some Leopardian verses from "Le Ricordianze", in which the poet makes a reference to the Tower.

The Torre del Borgo was built in the 12th century as a symbol of the merger of the ancient castles of Monte Morello, Monte Volpino and Monte Muzio into a single municipality. It remained isolated after the demolition of the fifteenth-century Town Hall in 1872. The Rampant Lion, symbol of Recanati, on the north side is by Jacopo Sansovino. The clock that can be admired dates back to 1500. The Tower houses inside the MUREC, Recanati Museum, which through a vertical path enriched with interactive screens, allows you to learn about the history of the village. Worth seeing. (Translated by Google) The Tower, with its 36 meters, stands out in Piazza Leopardi and constitutes all that remains of the ancient Town Hall. It probably dates back to the 12th century to symbolize the union of the three castles on the Recanati hill into a single municipality and presents, in the final part, a terrace with Ghibelline battlements, which was added after a subsequent remodeling of the building in the 14th century. The white stone dial, a bronze bas-relief depicting the clock, dates back to the mid-16th century. Since the end of the nineteenth century the tower appears isolated in the square for the construction of the new Town Hall and the renovation works of Piazza Leopardi. On the walls you can admire valuable sculptures and tombstones.  Among these are the coat of arms of the city of Fermo, which recalls the alliance between the two cities, the bronze bas-relief which depicts the transport which occurred due to miraculous circumstances of the house of the Virgin Mary from Nazareth to Loreto and the stupendous rampant lion, symbol of Recanati, work by Jacopo Sansovino, a commemorative plaque dedicated to those fallen in war. Inside is the "Recanati Museum" (MUREC): on seven levels, it allows visitors to retrace, through photographs and digitized information material, the history of the city and its most important figures from its origins to the twentieth century. Teatro Persiani in Recanati is a grand 19th-century theater with a splendid newly restored interior and exterior. It is one of the unexpectedly magnificent theaters in Marche, Italy. Torre Del Passero Solitario, a historic bell tower in Recanati, holds a special place in the heart of poet Giacomo Leopardi. In his poem "The Lonely Sparrow," he reflects on the solitude and simplicity of life, wishing to embody the sparrow that observes from above without feeling joy or sorrow. This 13th-century tower, which was struck by lightning in the 19th century, stands proudly within the cloister of Sant'Agostino Church.
(Translated by Google) Also this year during my September holiday in Recanati I returned to visit the places immortalized by Leopardi, a poet I love very much. It's a must for me. I would like to reconfirm everything I wrote in last year's review, as I have no particular updates to report. The Tower of the Lone Sparrow, dating back to the 13th century and decapitated by lightning in the 19th century, can be admired in the cloister of the church of Sant'Agostino, built in the same period. This bell tower owes its fame to the fact that it is mentioned in the poem of the same name by Giacomo Leopardi: "From the top of the ancient tower, solitary sparrow, in the countryside Singing go until the day dies." I have read that, according to some scholars, the real tower referred to in the poem is not this one and must be sought further downstream. Tourist signage is not very precise and tourists do not always inform themselves adequately about the places they visit by looking carefully at the photos. Proof of this is the fact that I have seen many people stop to photograph the aqueduct tower, located near the entrance to the cloister and then remain astonished, as they approach it, to read a sign in which, in a joking tone, thanks for the photos and then it is specified that it is a simple aqueduct tower.

(Translated by Google) The bell tower, as mentioned, is mentioned by Leopardi in his poem The Lonely Sparrow. The tower represents the highest point of the Recanati village, in which the poet imagines himself as a sparrow, scrutinizing the slow and monotonous life of the citadel. The poet would love to be exactly like the sparrow, as his species allows him to always live in solitude, without experiencing feelings of happiness or unhappiness, which Leopardi suffered greatly.

During a recent visit to Green Door on a Friday, I indulged in some delicious hamburgers with my husband. We particularly enjoyed the crispy onion rings and polenta, alongside our burgers—one featuring pulled pork and the other topped with BBQ and chipotle sauce. The atmosphere was relaxed, but our friendly waiter mentioned that Saturdays are bustling with young party-goers. While the portion sizes were just right—not too big or small—we're eager to return on a Saturday night to experience the vibrant nightlife!

The Museo della Musica MUM & Museo Beniamino Gigli is a fascinating tribute to the great tenor, Beniamino Gigli, who was born in Recanati. The museum showcases an extensive collection of personal items belonging to the artist, including costumes, photos, and various documents from his descendants. Visitors can also experience an interactive journey through the life and career of this renowned opera singer.
(Translated by Google) Really interesting museum. Impeccably set up, I loved that it also gives the visitor an interactive experience. Which differs in the simple reading of the captions. The only flaw on my part is not understanding a lot of it, even what I saw, I'm just any music listener, but I've never looked into it in depth. The exciting thing is that the museum allows you to take advantage of a combo with other museums for €9.50. The package also includes the civic tower, the one in the square and the Villa Colloredo Meis civic museum. (Original) Museo davvero interessante. (Translated by Google) The Music Museum, opened last June 2021, has been added to the "Infinito Recanati" museum circuit which brings together the main city museums. As the name itself suggests, it is entirely dedicated to musical instruments (guitars, accordions, piano keyboards etc..) and musical equipment (amplifiers, mixers etc..) produced by Recanati companies operating in the sector. The tools are presented with written descriptions contained in the various noticeboards and touch screen panels located along the exhibition itinerary. On the top floor there is a listening room. A small flaw is the lack of connection with the adjacent Gigli Museum, dedicated to the tenor of the same name, which will be built in the near future. Both museums can be visited with a single ticket. In my opinion, the Museum is a must-see for lovers of music and musical instruments.

San Vito, Recanati is a charming town in northeastern Italy, known for its narrow streets and 17th-century renovated houses. Located in this town is one of the language academies of Dante Aligieri. The locals are cheerful, friendly, and kind-hearted. The main attraction of San Vito is the Catholic church, which unfortunately was closed for post-earthquake restorations. Despite this setback, visitors can still appreciate the town's beautiful architecture by strolling through its streets.

(Translated by Google) Only two stars as it is not possible for me to express an opinion: I found the church closed because it was undergoing seismic improvement works. From the closing panels of the construction site I was able to admire and photograph only part of the facade. In my tourist guide I read that this religious building dates back to the thirteenth century and that it was enlarged (taking on a triple nave)  and remodeled towards the end of the fifteenth century. The current shape is due to a restoration intervention in the seventeenth century, but the façade, damaged by the earthquake of 1741, was rebuilt in terracotta and with spiral columns based on a design by Luigi Vanitelli, the great artist responsible for the stupendous Reghia of Caserta. The interior preserves valuable works, including paintings by famous painters such as Pomarancio. I hope that the works will not continue for a long time: on a sign I read that they began in September 2020 and should have been completed in December 2021. This year, during my September holiday (2022), I hoped to be able visit this architectural jewel, dedicated to San Vito, patron saint of the city.

(Translated by Google) Walking through the city center, my attention was almost caught by this red brick building with a beautiful marble portal in the shape of a deep arch. On one wall I noticed a beautiful marble plaque, surmounted by small and graceful decorative elements: a zither surrounded by leaves. It contains the writing: "MARIA ALINDA BONACCI-BRVNAMONTI, THE FIRST OF THE WOMEN POETESS OF HER TIME, IS IN THE SKY OF RECANATES, WHERE LEOPARDI ALREADY SPREAD HER LARGE WING. SHE INSPIRED SHE CAUGHT RADIANT SHAPES AND GHOSTS, NEW SHINE ON THE HOMELANDS' LETTERS, BENEFITS OF A REFLECTION OF GLORY ON THE CITY OF THE PARENT AND MASTER. XV AUGUST MCMIII-BY DECREE OF THE MUNICIPALITY". I confess that I have never even heard of this poet before and I wanted to find out. In summary I learned that he was born at the end of the nineteenth century in Perugia to a family of Recanati origins. She was guided with great rigor in her classical studies by her father, but she was also interested in philosophy and the figurative arts and, at a very young age, she began to write verses of a religious nature. He moved to Recanati following political problems with the head of the family. She also composed patriotic songs and, in 1860, when the Marche was annexed to the Kingdom of Savoy with a plebiscite, she was the only woman who was granted the right to vote by special decree of the Municipality of Recanati. She returned to Perugia following her marriage to Pietro Brunamonti and there continued her activity as both a poet and a scholar, broadening her knowledge to the natural sciences. In his last years he could no longer write due to the consequences of a cerebral thrombosis. I will definitely try to find and read some of his compositions to enrich my knowledge. The house in Recanati, located in the street dedicated to her, is closed and I don't know if it has ever been opened to the public. For me it would have been interesting to be able to do that. In essa è riportata la scritta: "MARIA ALINDA BONACCI-BRVNAMONTI PRIMA TRA LE POETESSE DEL SUO TEMPO È NEL CIELO RECANATESE, OVE GIA IL LEOPARDI SPIEGÒ SÌ GRANDE ALA.

It started out good with friendly waitress and a great display of fresh pasta so expectations were great. We had Tagliere Grande for a starter to share and it was great. Prosciutto, sausage, 3 kinds of cheese, mushroms and 3 kind of breads. Then it went downhill from there. My husband had Fritto Marche (fried lam, fried rabbit and fried veggies) The presentation was terrible with potato chips all over the plate and paper towel under the foof so when you tried to cut something you got to eat paper if you didn't pay attention. The Gigante Pecora was okay but over cooked. The worst plate was the Vincigrassi!! It came out completely burnt and with nothing inside. In fact it was burnt so bad the burnt pieces had fallen of. I did send it back and within 8 to 10 minutes i got a new one this time "a little" better and not burnt but still not a great plate. One would have expected an apologie but instead they seemed upset about the complaint wich by the way only was done about the Vincigrassi. I think they need to do much better in the future. I have lived in Italy for 10 years and i don't think i ever had a dish that was this bad. Sa because it really looked like a nice place to it but it turned out to be a big disapointment. Not a place we will visit again.

First, the food; all was absolutely delicious. Fine ingredients, very well prepared. Some of the best food we’ve eaten in Italy. Second, the service; we went here to eat with our two year old and, as any parent of young children knows, this can sometimes be a challenge. The owner made us all feel very welcome, helped us choose food and wine, and had some food prepared and served to the hungry little one in no time. There was an incident about halfway through our meal where our toddler decided to throw a fork and broke a wine glass, spilling delicious red everywhere! The owner was there in a flash and with no fuss he and the other waiting staff had the minor disaster cleaned away and everything replaced within a few moments. This was undoubtedly some of the best service I’ve experienced anywhere in the world, and I’ve been to many places over the years. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and we’ll be sure to make a visit again any time we’re in the Marche region.

They don't want you to be a costumer if they are feeling lazy, so don't you dare going there 40 minutes before it closes. You'll also be told you won't find anything to eat anywhere in town until the next day, which is exactly what hungry tourists want to hear. Costumer service and general kindness, minus 10.

Sights & Landmarks
Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Romagna, Montefiore Castle is a stunning medieval fortress that has been beautifully renovated and preserved. Dating back to the late 13th century, this majestic structure features a striking crenelated tower and an impressive circular wall system designed to withstand artillery. Visitors can explore its interior, which houses a captivating collection of artifacts and majolica unearthed from excavations.
Castello a Montefiore - Recanati, Via Luigi Flamini, 62019 Montefiore MC, Italy. The castle was built in the late thirteenth century and remodeled in the sixteenth century to withstand even the new forms of artillery. The beautiful crenelated tower is therefore protected by a circular system of walls. Majestic, proud and elegant, the Castello di Montefiore dominates the panorama of those who from the province of Ancona cast their eyes towards the Sibillini.

(Translated by Google) The Castle is renovated and well preserved, inside a beautiful collection of objects and majolica found in the excavations. The visit takes place following a route accompanied by explanations via video panels, located in each room, which can be activated by the visitor. The view from its terraces is beautiful, defined as the most beautiful Belvedere in Romagna (when the sky is clear you can see the Croatian coasts). Parking in the area. Also beautiful is a visit to the Marian sanctuary a few kilometers away, reachable by car or even on foot in 30 minutes. Parcheggio in zona.

Conero stands out in the background. Porta San Filippo is a historic gate in Recanati that dates back to the 14th century. It is considered one of the most characteristic entrances and exits of the historic village, leading directly to the main street. The gate can be reached from Corso Persiani through a small street flanked by significant buildings such as Palazzo Benedettucci and Palazzo Luciani Bambini.

(Translated by Google) Porta San Filippo was built in the 14th century. From Corso Persiani you can reach it along a small street located between two important buildings: Palazzo Benedettucci (home to the library of 36 thousand volumes) and Palazzo Luciani Bambini (former seat of the Governor). It is the only gate to have preserved its ancient medieval appearance; built in brick, it has a large tower with protruding corbels and a defense curtain cut by a large opening, a full arch and the original crowning formed by Ghibelline battlements. Formerly called "market gate", it took its current name after the second half of the 1600s, when the Filipino congregation built their church.

(Translated by Google) A permanent exhibition that allows you to get to know in an immersive way the phenomenon of the emigration of the Marche people between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. What arouses the visitor's interest are above all the archive documents (personal letters, municipal permits, visas, passports, travel tickets) and the direct testimonies of the protagonists of this piece of history which deserves to be thoroughly investigated. The visitor is led by the hand to deal with hope, with the sense of separation from loved ones and from one's land, with trust and courage, with the pain and disappointment of those who left and are no longer returned. The lighting should be fixed as it does not make it easier to read the wall panels and which already have annoying white writing on a red background.

Casa di Teresa Fattorini ('Silvia') is a magical place that offers a glimpse into the early 1800s. Overlooking a small square, it is believed to have inspired The Saturday Night in the Village. The Santa Maria di Montemorello Church and stables, once home to families of servants including Teresa Fattorini's, are nearby. Visitors can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of that era and envision Teresa and her family living and working there.

After twenty-five minutes of waiting, in which NO other customer entered, we approach the counter to find out if our order is ready, and we are preceded by an embarrassing: "do you have to order?" We look around in shock, and still NO ONE else around us. After waiting another twenty-five minutes, finally, after almost an hour of waiting alone in the restaurant, our pizzas arrive accompanied by a micro portion of fried food paid for 9 euros! Not even an apology for the wait and best regards. Go elsewhere. Andate altrove.

(Translated by Google) We came across this restaurant almost by chance while walking around Recanati after visiting the Leopardi house. Simple menus, masterfully cooked dishes, plentiful and honest prices. Excellent for those who want to take a lunch break with a taste of Marche cuisine. I have read some negative reviews regarding the slowness of the courses... I remember that when you are at the table and especially when in the Marche, the wait is nothing but a pleasant side dish to peaceful chats and pleasant laughter in front of a glass of wine. Thank you for the simplicity and passion you put into cooking your dishes, fundamental ingredients. Recommended for those who leave the Leopardi house and still have the spectacular view of the hill of infinity in their eyes. Five stars!!!! Cinque stelle!!!! #svenacrossitaly 😉

(Translated by Google) Very small place compared to the photos, 4-legged friends cannot enter despite the latest laws saying they can enter anywhere, the chips that arrived before the pizza were cold. Cover charge €2 despite there being tablecloth and paper napkins, prices too exaggerated for a pizza (diavola €9, Margherita €6.50 etc...). On the site there are photos of meat which is absent on the menu. Staff who don't respond to thank you... in short... everything is very dilapidated and in my opinion rude! Definitely not to be done again.

(Translated by Google) I always love coming back to this restaurant!!! I haven't lost my mind, even though it's better known as a pizzeria, because pizza is a serious thing, and Massimo is top notch. Try the panozzi or the first and second courses, and then let me know. As for the service, it's fantastic. The staff are professionally trained, but at the same time they make you feel at home. Thanks for always coming, even though I don't come often.

Fine dining restaurant
Ristorante Casa Bertini is a surprising find located in a sports center just outside the historic center of Recanati, Italy. The restaurant is led by talented chef Andrea Bertini, who skillfully reinterprets Marche traditions to create light and uncomplicated dishes, with a focus on meat. The elegant and understated decor complements the simple yet refined style of the cuisine. The restaurant offers a perfect balance between innovation, tradition, and showcasing local flavors.
By far the best restaurant in Recanati. Very tasteful interior design. Attentive and polite service. You can tell that the chef learned at Uliassi. The only area to improve was the music playlist. We will be back very soon!

I have been here for my birthday having served two tasting menus. The location is warm and welcoming, in the fabulous Italian region of Marche. The serving and the food was excellent, prepared by an experienced kitchen team - the Chef, Andrea, attended the table for the birthday cake, it was a pleasant surprise and thank you for the effort. The food was prepared nicely, the tastes were balanced and surprising in a good way, no wine pairing but the options were many to choose from if needed. Italian cuisine is about simplicity, and I think Andrea made a perfect blend of products and recipes to well reflect the local region. We will be back whenever possible.

(Translated by Google) We had dinner at this restaurant for my birthday. The environment is minimal but elegant and refined, with attention to detail. The dining room staff is extremely kind and discreet. We opted for the tasting menu consisting of seven surprise courses chosen by the chef. It was more of a journey than a dinner: dishes presented impeccably, with the right balance between one course and another in terms of flavours, smells, timing and combinations. Everything was perfect. At the end of the meal the chef came to greet us and talk to us about his history, which we really appreciated. It was our first experience in such a worthy place, we can't wait to go back. Heartfelt thanks to the chef and all the staff.

A very unique experience of Italian food caught from a different point of view. I appreciated the delicious taste of dishes and the whole experience of dining at Casa Bertini but just one dish. It was not a lucky one for me. The chef was so kind to talk with me about that and I was surprised by his amazing availability. Thank you so much, see you soon!

During our holiday in Recanati we had dinner in Casa Bertini twice. The first time we tried the tasting menu, the second visit we ordered à la carte. A second visit is often dissapointing, but in Casa Bertini this certainly was not the case. You feel welcome from the moment you arrive until you leave, Sandra and Matteo are very attentive, kind and knowledgeable. The dishes are beautifully presented, very well balanced and very tasteful. Chef Andrea mainly uses local products and inventively combines them with various herbs and spices. The only suggestion we have regards the music. The playlist could be a little lighter and jazzier, but of course this is very personal. Anyway, don't hesitate to make a reservation in Casa Bertini if you're in for a special experience.

(Translated by Google) A truly wonderful experience! Everything was simply perfect: the attentive and friendly service, the rich and carefully prepared dishes, and the welcoming atmosphere that immediately made you feel at ease. We also had the pleasure of speaking with the chef for about ten minutes, and you immediately sensed his humanity, his authenticity, and above all, the great passion he puts into his work. It's rare to meet such dedicated, authentic (and polite!) people. A restaurant I highly recommend to anyone looking not only for excellent cuisine, but also for a complete experience filled with emotion and authenticity. We will definitely be back. In photo: foie gras, highly recommended. (Original) Esperienza davvero splendida! I arrived promptly at 8:45 PM, and they delivered the "TAKEOUT" pizzas at 9:15 PM... 30 minutes late on five pizzas I'd ordered in the afternoon. I can't imagine what happens if you eat there. (Which, given my experience, will never happen.) (Translated by Google) If you are a lover of substance and pay little attention to architectural style or furnishings (I am referring in particular to the external veranda that hosted us, which was actually a little cold in winter), our desire for pizza will be satisfied! In fact, you will find a wide choice of flavors and good, digestible pizzas. And then what about mixed fried chips and vegetables? At absolutely unbeatable prices (here you only pay €1 for the cover charge!). Incredible lunch proposal with a complete menu of meat or fish every day (drink included) for only €11, and on Sundays with dessert offered on the house... what are you waiting for to book?!?!
