We were on our way back to Lyon Part Dieu station from beautiful Annecy and drop by this lac. When we arrived, it was around 13.40 and there were not many and not as many people as we expected. It definitely wasn’t Annecy by all means but beautiful and relaxing. Even it was a very hot day, we didn’t anyone swim except a dog playing catch up with his owner.

A long walk around the lake of Annecy can never get boring. The weather, the people, the boats, the mountains are all dynamic and ever-changing. A pure delight. For romantic walks and lunch break, for families with energetic dogs, for curious tourists and photographers. A daily pleasure during my stay.

Lac du Bourget in Aix-les-Bain is very nice, and not as crowded as Lac d’Annecy. It’s a pretty place for people who don’t like crowded and noisy places. I recommend renting a bike or taking a bike around the lake to find your own good spot.

It was a lovely Sunday afternoon on the first Sunday in April which is free entrance. The collection is amazing and includes the 2nd largest number of Roden sculptures to Paris. The Impressionist paintings were by varied painters. There are 3 levels of the museum and an audio guide is included.

Good collection of Rodin and impressionist paints. Small museum with three floors but also not expensive at 5.5 euros with an audio guide for Rodin's work only. Worth the visit if you have some time to spare.

Nice museum with 3 floors, the first more about history, the second on Impressionism, and the highest floor on Rodin, sculptures, and ceramics. The place contains quite a lot of art despite being relatively small, and you can probably spend over an hour inside. The staff at the counter will store your bags for free before you enter. The Impressionist painters featured are not your typical big names (except for a few Pissarros and one Cezanne), but are quite interesting nevertheless. Note that the explanations on the first floor are only in French, and for the other 2 floors, there are no explanations beside each piece, only 1 general one (in both French and English) for the whole floor. Worth going if you’re in the area.

We had a mixed experience. First the food- the kitchen is incredible. Each dish was a work of art and combined amazing flavours and textures. So creative, and often surprising and delighting. Fully deserving of the Michelin accolades. However we found the service slow and sometimes surly. Perhaps front of house was short staffed. Not ideal at these prices. It was a very hot evening. Our table was to the rear of the room away from the amazing views. It took more than 15 mins to offer us drink - even water - despite the stifling heat. Our server did not love the request from one of our group to switch out one of the dishes because she doesn’t like tomato, even though there were obvious options from the longer set menu to switch to. Would I recommend? At €150/head probably not. My best experiences of Michelin star restaurants have combined amazing food with attentive service. This was the former but not the latter. It may be that the restaurant prefers to cater to the French market. Also if the region gets this hot regularly, the restaurant needs aircon.

My personal favorite was the fish course, lovely presentation and even better taste. The length between the dishes was good, until the main course arrived. It arrived shortly after the fish plate was taken away. A shame for me, because i told the waiter i would like to have a glass of red wine with the main. This was forgotten. The main course was very well made, and the first time the, throughout the evening, much used local fresh herbs truly came to its right. First dessert was not for our taste, and a weird presentation. Second dessert was more to our liking. The wine we received for dessert was outstanding. A rhubarb champagne style local wine. We had a coffee here this morning. We always have a coffee at the lake when we visit but have never been here. The staff were friendly, it was busy and had a nice vibe but when we arrived there was a horrible smell of toilets or drains. It was the first thing we noticed. Sadly the coffee was 10 euros for two which consisted of a soggy biscuit (well one of them was) and two milk jiggers which for a fresh coffee is pretty sad really. A restaurant nearby is charging the same but is much better coffee without the plastic milk! Whilst 10 euros for two coffees is very steep (particularly here) we can get better elsewhere locally with a better view for half the price. Sadly won’t be back.

Hier on commande à nouveau et la miraculeusement la commande passe , sauf que au bout d une heure d attente on annule notre commande 30 minutes avant la livraison et on ce retrouve sans repas à 21h et ma fille de 8h qui a fin bien sûr. Avec les autre établissement de sacré Armand aucun problème . Donc je pense établissement pas sérieux du tout à fuire
