Arenas & Stadiums
Vaillant Arena, situated in Davos, Switzerland, is a popular destination for sports enthusiasts and hockey aficionados. It serves as the home ground for HC Davos, one of Switzerland's most successful ice hockey teams. The arena hosts thrilling matches and offers an electric atmosphere for visitors to enjoy. Additionally, it features a year-round open-air ice-skating rink and accommodates speed skating events. The stadium's architecture is impressive, providing fantastic views of the games from various vantage points.
Attended the Spengler Cup in 2023. Amazing experience, the arena is an amazing structure and can get very loud when HC Davos is playing. Everyone was very friendly. If you are considering a trip to Davos for the Spengler Cup. I highly recommend it.
Steve D — Google review
I was multiple times in Vaillant Arena through last 4 years when visiting Davos. Last week I watched Spengler Cup live for the first time and I loved the atmosphere. And yesterday I watched HC Davos vs HC Ajoie. I love this arena, architecture, atmosphere and everything about it. It never disappoint.
Monika B — Google review
I've been wanting to go here for years and the wait was well worth it although Davos lost on penalties. Ate in the surprisingly reasonable club restaurant and had a beer before the game. Great service, good food, basic menu, burgers, schnitzel, fries etc, friendly staff. Got my obligatory Davos Hockey Club t shirt then sat in the new stadium to watch the match. The Davos fans are terrific. Drum, trumpets, singing. It was a great experience. I'll be back again soon. Loved it.
L R — Google review
Fantastic stadium to watch the Spengler Cup! Architecture is amazing and standing tickets give a fantatsic view of the game. Love the vibe during games, especially being able to order beers from your seat! Lots of historical information in the waiting areas about Hockey Club Davos, the home team. Worth checking out for a Hockey match as it is small and really allows for you to be part of the action!
Christopher K — Google review
Great Stadium. Don't forget to admire the Woody construction. Plus visit if Davos is playing. The Food kiosks are quiet fast each serving something different. Lots of vegetarian options available too.
Rebecca A — Google review
One of the best stadion in Switzerland
Nico V — Google review
Wonderful stadium. By far the most beautiful hockey stadium in Europe. The wooden building is simply gorgeous and tze staff was very friendly.
Oliver K — Google review
This is the HC Davos Arena! Nice and impressive wood construction. Steep seating with great view and confortable. The standing area is ok I would say, maybe a bit crowded during big matches. The vip loge is very nice, all new with a kinda luxury wooden chalet style. Big bar, standing table and great view on the ice ring! Maybe not the biggest stadium in Switzerland, but it has a lot of personality!

Conference & Convention Centers
Located in the heart of Davos, Switzerland, the Davos Congress Centre is a modern and popular conference and event venue. It hosts a variety of international conferences, business events, and cultural exhibitions throughout the year. The center is surrounded by stunning natural beauty and offers excellent accommodation options as well as shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities nearby. Additionally, it has been the site for significant gatherings such as the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos.
THE venue for the World Economic Forum. Well-equipped and well-managed.
Thaweechot T — Google review
Davos is a place of many faces and possibilities. It is known both as a congress center for neutral meetings of statesmen from all over the world. Of course also as a ski center. But also a beautiful place with unspoiled nature around.
Helena — Google review
Actually we had good conference here and they provided yummy Indian food. This place is amazing the view outside the congress centre is like a picture or a painting, you will wonder how beautiful is Davos. Very freezing climate but lots of activities to explore here
DILKUSH F — Google review
It was a great venue for our conference.
Melike G — Google review
We went there for a small conference (around 50 people). The venue was perfect. I have rarely seen such a good service. The staff was very attentive, punctual, friendly and always ready to help. They remembered the food intolerances of the individual participants and offered to prepare special meals on the go. The food was well-presented and tasty. The conference participants appreciated that there was constant access to coffee and tea. Everything went smoothly on the technical side, as well. There were no technical interruptions during the presentations. Finally, the wood building is beautiful and has great views to the mountains. All in all, I would be happy to come back!

It is a unique place to see global leaders and companies in a small town. It is very crowded so it is good for advertising. Many pavillions from companies and countries.

Art Museums
The Kirchner Museum Davos, situated in Davos, Switzerland, is a modern glass building dedicated to the renowned German Expressionist artist Ernst Ludwig Kirchner. It houses an extensive collection of his works, including paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, and textiles. Additionally, the museum features the majority of Kirchner's sketchbooks and photographs. As one of Davos' top attractions, it offers a diverse range of exhibits that showcase the region's cultural heritage and history.
I'm not a big fan of expressionism and Kirchner in particular but the collection in this museum is presented so tastefully that I have some second thought about this artist. The exhibit is mix of his paintings (most of them landscapes) and buildings plans and drawings (Kirchner was trained as an architect). They have a very good book for sale. There is a huge parking lot about 200 meters down the road behind the museum, not sure if it's free but I found no pay station of any kind there.
Ron S — Google review
The Kirchner Museum in Davos offers a unique and intimate encounter with the work of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, one of the most influential German expressionist artists. Located in the very landscape that inspired many of his paintings, the museum creates a profound dialogue between art, architecture, and nature. The museum building itself, designed by architects Annette Gigon and Mike Guyer, is a masterpiece of modern architecture. Composed of four interconnected cubic structures with glass façades and minimalist interiors, the design allows for natural light to gently flood the galleries, creating a calm, meditative atmosphere. The neutral palette and clean lines draw full attention to the vibrant and dynamic works on display without any visual distractions. The permanent collection includes over 1,400 of Kirchner’s works, from oil paintings and watercolors to drawings, prints, sculptures, and textiles. Many of these pieces reflect Kirchner’s time in Davos, where he lived and worked after leaving Germany. His Alpine landscapes, portraits, and vibrant depictions of rural life in the Swiss mountains offer a powerful contrast to his earlier urban scenes from Berlin and Dresden. The iconic “The Bridge near Wiesen” (1926), portraying the impressive Wiesen Viaduct just outside Davos, is one of the many highlights visitors can admire. The museum's layout encourages visitors to explore Kirchner's artistic evolution across different phases of his life. Each gallery is carefully curated, with thematic arrangements that flow naturally from one space to another. The museum succeeds in offering both depth for art enthusiasts and accessibility for first-time visitors, without overwhelming the audience. In addition to the permanent collection, the Kirchner Museum also hosts temporary exhibitions that provide new perspectives on Kirchner’s work or present related artists from the Expressionist movement. Regular guided tours (available in German) are offered twice weekly, adding valuable context and insight into the artist's complex life and work. Educational programs, including art workshops for children and adults, interactive digital experiences, and even yoga classes in the galleries, make the museum experience dynamic and inclusive. One of the museum’s greatest strengths is its ability to connect visitors not only to Kirchner’s art but also to the environment that deeply shaped him. After visiting the museum, one can easily explore the surrounding landscapes—such as the Stafelalp or Wiesen Viaduct—providing an even deeper appreciation for the source of Kirchner’s inspiration. Accessibility is excellent, with barrier-free access for disabled visitors, clear signage, and multilingual information available in German, English, and French. However, visitors should be aware that the museum is closed on Mondays and there is no café or restaurant on-site, so planning accordingly is recommended. In summary, the Kirchner Museum Davos offers an outstanding cultural experience where art, architecture, and nature converge in perfect harmony. Whether you are an art lover or a curious traveler, this museum is a must-visit gem in Davos that leaves a lasting impression.
Davide R — Google review
Beautiful building, both bright and perfectly integrated into its surroundings. The presentation of the works is interesting and well thought out, allowing you to truly appreciate Kirchner’s artistic journey. Wonderful artworks – a must-see when in Davos.
Dominique — Google review
What a great art museum! The works of the expressionists around the movement "Die Brücke" as well as those of Kirchner are exhibited in a very convincing setup. Valuable supplementary information is also consistently displayed in all rooms.

If you are snowboarding stay away from this place.. It has soooo many places where you have to take of your board and walk because it's so flat or up to the hill..i mean way to many. Sign with names of lift are visible only when you are standing next to lift and than you realize you are in wrong lift..so walk again.. Comparing to prices in 3valleys France 65€ day ticket or Skiwelt austria 60€ you can't even compare. Here 100€🤔😃 Small beer 7€ Also signs on the pist are missing.. sometimes you can't see number of the pist for 0.5 km
Peross1 — Google review
Waste of Time Trails are sometimes not signed at all. Transfer / both ways do not work, had to push bike for hours. Trails end on random forest roads without signs. Overall trails are poorly build. If you want to ride MTB go somewhere else. If you are on an EBike.. your fault
Fabian W — Google review
Nice more of the mountains and valleys, large space for off-pister

Not very snowboard friendly resort. I have never seen resort where you have to take of snowboard so many times. Marking the pists and lifts are also not very good level. If you are local than is not problem..but if you are on holiday for few days than you lost

The dining experience at Stall Valär is exceptional. The overall design of the restaurant's dining room is impressive, creating a pleasant atmosphere for guests. The service provided by the staff is outstanding, being extremely friendly and attentive. The food served at Stall Valär is remarkable, with delicious flavors that satisfy the taste buds. The salad portion is generous and fresh, perfect for sharing. One must try their local specialty dish called Capuns which also receives high praise.
Charming, traditional and lively alpine design. Excellent and attentive service (Sarah). The food was excellent. Artichokes were cooked perfect with a good aioli sauce. The pork chop was equally good, came with Mac'n Cheese, not my faborite. Good choice of wines. If there is a wish it would be a slightly expanded menu. Have been twice in 10 days.

A wonderful evening! The food was delicious, we had the artichoke, ceviche and roast beef to share, which I can highly recommend and the Stall beef which was cooked to perfection - yum! After dinner we were pretty full so decided on some espresso martini’s instead of dessert! Excellent all round! Thank you, we will definitely be returning!

We used to love coming to Stall Valar. It is still a beautiful place with nice staff. We were very disappointed with the new menu. We used to come here for a steak. Now there is no proper steak on the menu and everything we had was average unfortunately.

I love going to Stall Vallär! Its a safe bet gor a great evening! The team working there is fantastic: friendly, helpful, make jokes with you and knows their menu. Then the food is just incredible. The meat was super tender and you can pick pretty much any item and will be happy. Lastly the atmosphere in the old barn, with wine bottles all around you, is so cozy! It feels like everybody has a space there. Thank you so much to the whole team for this lovely evening once again and I can‘t wait to be back soon!!

Moreover, it stands out as one of the few reasonably priced dining options in Davos. It comes highly recommended despite the only drawback being an overwhelming menu selection.

I go to this beautiful restaurant quite often as i live close by and appreciate good food. Love everything about this place- the atmosphere, the service and of course the food! Foie gras and beef was cooked with port wine sauce and black truffle mushrooms was extremely delicious, not easy to forget. Grilled cauliflower with walnuts and the dessert also incredible. Salmon snacks and handmade bread with salty butter are served before the main dishes. We were totally satisfied, Very kind staff, thank you.

The extrablatt sign made us think it was a bowling or a fast food. We came for dinner the 8 of us, after a long day skiing and it was not a good idea! The service was really long, after 1h30 of waiting I asked when the meals were going to arrive and the waiter was surprised. The food was overall ok, again in Switzerland it is never amazing for the price. The bread, butter made us wait for dear god, it was really a long wait. We skipped dessert to be ready for the next day of skiing. The decoration looks nice inside but doesn’t worth the wait!

Extrablatt Davos offers a modern and casual dining experience right on the main Promenade. I visited for a light lunch and found the atmosphere lively yet comfortable, with large windows that allow plenty of natural light and a relaxed urban design. The menu is international, combining Swiss classics with burgers, salads, and pasta. I ordered the Caesar salad with grilled chicken, which was fresh, well-presented, and satisfying. The staff were attentive, efficient, and spoke multiple languages, making communication easy. Whether for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a casual drink, Extrablatt works well for a wide variety of occasions in a very central location.

Kaffee Klatsch is one of the most popular and vibrant cafés in central Davos, perfect for breakfast, brunch, coffee breaks, or light lunches. I visited in the morning and immediately felt the warm and lively atmosphere. The café has a cozy alpine design mixed with a modern touch, making it very inviting for locals and visitors alike. I ordered their homemade croissant with jam and a cappuccino, both excellent in quality and presentation. The staff were friendly, efficient, and managed the steady flow of customers with great professionalism. The space feels alive without being noisy, ideal for both social gatherings and quiet moments.

Parsenn is a vast ski area that offers expansive runs, including the 12-km Parsenn descent, and numerous dining options. It is part of a group of mountains in Davos specially prepared to welcome guests in the summer, with ski slopes transforming into hiking and mountain biking trails covering 700 km. One of the main attractions in Davos is the Parsenn-Davos funicular, providing access to breathtaking mountain views for both skiers and non-skiers.
Great place for skiing in the Davos dorf... The top here is close to 2900m...so much pistes for every level of skiers... Pistes always good prepare... Not so much crowded... One thing you must try and if you are good ski and if there is enough snow is 12km slope from top to Kublis... If you want break or lunch there is few good restaurants for eat or drink something... All recommendations for visit and skiing if you are in Davos or in this part of Switzerland

Love this place! From Zürich its super easily accessible - its a little less than 2 hours from Zürich HB to Klosters Platz. As soon as you exit the train, across the street is a rental place where you can rent your gear. Literally next to the rental place is the gondola entrance. If you didnt buy your ticket online, you can buy it at the gondola entrance (can only pay with card - no cash is accepted). Mid morning its a bit of chaos there as its just one door for access to the ticket box and gondola entrance. I would recommend arriving no later than 8.30-9.00 if you dont want to queue. Even with a queue, you can get to the ski runs in 30 min - 1 hour, it isnt that bad of a wait. Note, that there is a second gondola to take after the first. The runs are really great - not too easy but not too difficult either. There is one run that takes you through the forest and all the way down to next to the 1st gondola. This is where the apres ski is. For the apres ski, definitely arrive a bit earlier than run closure if you want to get a seat inside (there is live music). If you cannot grab a place inside, they sell drinks out of a little car outside and there are a few places to stand/sit as well. After apres ski, its a quick walk across a bridge to the train station and rental return.

Got charged for cleaning fees although no one cleaned the rooms throughout my stay, the apartment was cleaned by us prior to checking out in accordance to the policy told to us by the receptionist. However, two wrapped up trash bags were left due to the trash cans being full and we informed the receptionist of this . The receptionist made us go back to the rooms after checking out to remove the trash bags or else an extra fee would be charged (on top of the cleaning fee we already paid per apartment as we had more than one apartment). There is nothing relaxing about this resort and the customer service in the reception makes matters worse . Overall should have saved my money, time , and peace of mind.

My first Swiss ski experience and absolutely loved it! Not surprising, everything worked perfectly smoothly, lifts, ski rent shop, buying ski pass online. There wasn't so much snow but all slopes were open nevertheless. We went there on a gorgeous Sunday and did over 70km of slopes. The ski pass is a bit pricey but totally worth it.
Erik J — Google review
Lovely skiing spot. It would be very nice if they add lift schedule to their website so that you can check it while you are skiing to ensure that you aren't missing the last lift ride. Currently the list schedule is available in text format with location names but you have no idea what those names mean you obviously look at the map and the schedule of the lifts must be available on the map, which should provide the schedule for both directions of the lift not just one. For example, last main train goes down at 17:00 but the website schedule shows 16:00 - but this is the ride up and is irrelevant for people who are already up in the mountains. In result you have to finish you ski day one hour earlier which is frustrating and not the experience you expect at the ski resort ...

Even though I don't ski, the views from the top are amazing! If you travel by train your stop is Davos Dorf. Once there you walk about 5-10 minutes and then you have reached your destination. To go all the way to the top you change trams but it won't take that long to reach the top. Make sure to visit the village afterwards!

Spend an amazing day skiing on accessible blue tracks, since I am a beginner! A beautiful resort with lots of tracks for every skill sort! Found an amazing restaurant in me middle of track 15, which had an amazing view, and delicious food with vegetarian options! Had an amazing day there!
Ana R — Google review
The best ski resort! Skiing here since 2012 and not bored! Not good for very begginers, but if you are ok on red slopes you should come here to practice. Only few Tbars left, which you can avoid, if you come from Klosters side, ski down to the double chair lift, or go forward to the carpet lift, and then go on higher.. i like that first slopes are done so that you can warm up well, and higher you ski,you can find steeper places. There are many slopes that are wide and straight, where you can practice with different level skiers. There is fun slope that goes parallel blue slope nr15. Some restaurants (one i know for sure) that do not accept credit cards, make sure to have some cash, just in case. I like Parsenn that its in the valley and you can ski several directions of the mountain, towards Davos,Klosters or Saas,Küblis.. on Davos side, there are two fun places: Race slope, where you can get the video of your skiing after you register your ski card, and the slope where you go for max.speed(there's speedometer) Even if you dont want to ski black route, you can take the lift all the way up to see an incredible view of the area, eat in that restaurant and go back with the lift.. totally reccomended. One more thing.. there is a "secret" slope(Seetäli...sssshhhh dont tell to anyone, its our secret;) ), from which you can spot the family of mountain goats(famous Steinbock) in order to earn that experience, you must take a Tbar up ;) dont forget the binoculars if you want to see them even better, but even without you can see them usually. I wish you to have a great ride on Parsenn!!!

Eistraum Davos is an appealing destination for family outings, featuring a spacious ice rink on the upper level. Although the entrance fee is required due to the somewhat deteriorated condition of the ice field, visitors can still enjoy themselves with the help of friendly staff, lively music accompanied by vibrant lights, and a well-stocked bar offering both hot and cold beverages. Despite some concerns raised about pricing and ice quality, Eistraum Davos remains one of the most enjoyable attractions in Davos.

Destination Davos Klosters is a charming and welcoming place to visit throughout the year. The people are friendly and accommodating, adding to the appeal of this destination. The Eichhornchenweg offers both small and large delights for visitors, while the variety of excellent restaurants in Davos ensures a delightful culinary experience. The landscape is enchanting, making it an ideal vacation spot for all travelers. Additionally, there are plenty of activities for children as well.
great summer program, making Davis even more attractive!

To me personally, the tourist pass is way behind what other destinations offer. Public transport is included in the main valley, but not the side valleys (what’s the point?). Cable cars are discounted, but still expensive. Saas-Fee for instance gives you peace of mind: Go anywhere and enjoy without the headache. The list of activities is long, but you have to plan everything out to fit into narrow time slots once a week. If you try spontaneously, in our case it was all sold out. In my mind, the whole point of vacation is not to have a packed diary with 1-hour meetings - I get that at work AND get paid for it 😂 Needless to say, the mountain vistas are breathtaking everywhere you go.

Adventure Park Davos Färich, located beneath the Fluela Pass, offers an exhilarating experience for both adults and children. With five different courses set amidst the forest canopy, visitors can challenge themselves by navigating ladders, rope nets, swinging bridges, and treetop climbing walls while being securely harnessed. The park is not only a great workout but also promotes team building as participants support each other through the courses.

Excellent - really enough stuff to do for a family. Great friendly (and funny) staff, not tired of introducing the newbies into the world of climbing. Committed to sustainability, Café Weber sources ingredients from local producers whenever possible.
Nice surprise on a Sunday morning on the way to the mountains with our two little sons, little gem in the middle of Davos, we had their Sunday breakfast and were very pleased with both quality of the food and the service. Adding to that an atmosphere of the Mann’s “Magical mountain” made our stay an experience we can only recommend

Had the BBQ burger and the Chef's burger, good stuff. Not the most mind-blowing patty, but it was grilled to be crispy on the outside. Everything else in the burgers made up for the patty - great bread, gruyere cheese, egg, pickles - best burger in a while.

New review from 2025: visited the place again 5 years later and have to say many things improved. The service is good, quick, efficient. They were still 100% busy at 1030am as people were having breakfast and morning tea / coffee. But we managed to get a table quickly and served quickly. There were improvements on the menu, which we appreciated and everything was still very tasty. Also happy that they are now sourcing 80% of their items from local gemeinde. Original review from 2020: The food variety is good. Actually not bad then you are tired of traditional swiss food. The place is super busy at lunch time. There are only about 3 waiter for 30 tables. They barely are able to get to everyone. Unfortunately often things get forgotten from the order. Maybe just go to the cafe part.

Highly recommend to go here when you are in Davos. I went here once with a large group of 50+ people and once with 4 persons. Both times the food (Spanish tapas) and service were excellent. Centrally located in Davos and please make sure to reserve.

Jody’s offers a warm, contemporary alpine experience that blends casual and stylish seamlessly. I visited for evening tapas and was impressed by the Mediterranean flavors—particularly the paella and Iberico ham with artichokes. The atmosphere is lively yet comfortable, with an industrial-modern design featuring wood and wool accents. Seating spans indoor spaces and two terraces—one covered, one open—for a relaxed vibe throughout the day. The staff were friendly and spoke multiple languages, adding personal charm to the meal. It felt like meeting friends in a beautifully designed, unpretentious venue that suits both locals and visitors perfectly.

A fantastic place! The design and atmosphere are super cosy and the staff is friendly&easy going but non the less professional. Food is among the best we have ever tasted in a restaurant. Can absolutely recommend. The only improvement would be on the dj skills... And the organization of the reservations 😉

We stopped in without a reservation and were seated immediately. The staff spoke excellent English, confidently incorporating sarcasm. Food was delicious. Good vibe. We will be back!

Ordered some vegetarian and one squid tapas. They tasted very average. The tortilla was small, the fried balls (not sure what is inside) were cold (they brought new ones after we complained) and so was the squid including tough to bite. The beers are also 0815 (the usual Heineken stuff). Staff was ok and premises comfortable and good design.

"Der Pate" is considered the best pizza place in Davos, although there isn't much competition in the area. The service is fast and pleasant, and customers can watch their pizzas being made as the oven is right in front of them. Despite some complaints about prices, it's noted that everything in Davos tends to be expensive. Some visitors even likened the experience to a magic show due to how quickly they received their delicious pizzas.
Best Pizza in Davos! I think it is much better than XX Excellent and XX Palüda

This place used to be Der Pate (which is the restaurant all the old reviews are for), but has since renovated and changed completely. Pizzas are greasy, in general food and atmosphere are no longer as good as it once was, which is sad. We will miss our favourite pizzeria and probably won’t come back here.

We were a group of 8. Had a bad experience. Several drinks had to be ordered many times until it finally came. Food took forever. Expensive beef filet was forgotten and then delivered late but totally raw. When they brought the meat the second time it was the same piece and it was still raw. Terrible experience!

Day light robbery. If you enjoy being ripped off, very poor quality service and a restaurant with zero ambience… then you will love this place. I’ve never seen any restaurant in the world that can jusify charging €30 for tap water. The management of this establishment laughed at us when we questioned this on the bill. We were there with young kids who were starving. Absolute crooks. I never provided such a scathing review of any other restaurant I’ve ever visited. However innocent people should be aware of what they are stepping into.

Terrible place - the owner served us and was rude, unhelpful and overcharged us on the bill. Even our kids were disgusted with this place - go anywhere but here 30chf for tap water 20chf for additional service Just daylight robbery

Truly horrified never experienced anything like that it completely ruined my day if not week the way they treated me and my family I would not recommend anyone to go here if they paid me millions. All the staff were very unfriendly, and even then the food was extremely mediocre. And they charged 10 CHF for a jug of tap water. They also charged us double for uber eats and the actual food. NEVER AGAIN!

If I could give it as there I would it was a really crappy restaurant. It was really quiet people stare at me. I felt really insecure. They were really racist to brown people. they charge us for tapwater without telling us we ordered prior using Uber eats, but then they charged us for sitting for sitting in a chair €10 per jug of tapwater to open a tap

Great location in the center of Davos. Nice decoration and good selection of drinks. Vibe is amazing! Unfortunately, card payments aren't possible. The bouncers should also ensure that people who are too drunk are thrown out of the pub.

We were rudely kicked out by an extremely unpleasant worker (the curly-haired one) at 18:54 just because the table was reserved for 19:30. At the time of my visit in the beginning of July 2019, there were many areas under serious work which were covered with black lining. So I presume I didn't see the place in its fullest glory. Very nice view. Walking up is difficult so I recommend to take the Gondel, 50.- up and down.

I had an awesome time here. This is a smaller mountain relative to Corviglia, but it’s got a much better terrain park and is a little less crowded.

Breathtaking views in the summer as well as the winter. It is absolutely worth a visit when staying in Davos, two cable cars are available for those not wishing to hike from city level, there is also a restaurant and bathroom facilities at the cable car stops. Lots of beautiful insects and plants to be seen and some birds too.

Went here to Ski for a weekend. Perfect. View, amount of people and even the guys at the rides were smiling at people :)) Really nice place with plenty of possibilities to visit. Restaurants, view points, you can rent the sun chairs, get good drinks for normal prices and just chill. Totally worth the visit also if you only wanna see the view.

One of the most serene and exotic locations. The lake has a beautiful path to walk around its side. Has high mountains and a forest on one side and a picturesque train line running through it. One can relax and have a beer enjoying this view in a restaurant on either side. Nothing gets better than this.

If you walk from the Davos Dorf train station, you will reach the lake within minutes (15-20). The lake is not that big so completing a lap around it shouldn't be very time-consuming. There are benches if you need some rest. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and I recommend it to all Davos visitors! Very picturesque trail. The landscapes are also amazing!

Lake Davos is very beautiful and not commercialised at all. There are only around 3 or 4 hotels located near the lake, where you could stop for some refreshment and rest. The lake is a short bus ride from Davos Dorf station, and there is a stop just before the lake path starts.

Nice place for a walk. You can easily walk around the lake in less than 2 hours. There's a beach bar on the way for a short stop to get snacks or drinks. There's plenty of parking available and you can walk directly from the parking lot. There are also 2 EV charging stations.

Went in this evening, and honestly it is the best food I’ve tasted in Switzerland. Anyone who has allergies, they are super accommodating, they have gluten free options also. Our server was super friendly and made the whole experience better, would happily come back :)

As someone who eats here often the food is delicious. The espresso served at Scala is also devine. The waiters are very friendly and attentive. My favortie time to come is during lunch when the weather is nice because I enjoy the outdoor seating here.

The food is not special, but good. The place is also good. But we were not happy with their service at all. After finishing our food we had to wait more than half an hour to get the check. We called the waiter several times and asked for the check, every time he just ignored our request. I understand, the restaurant was very busy that night, but he let us wait too long ……

Was there with a group for 2 weeks and the portions were tiny and food not very good most nights, lots of reconstituted meat and pork to keep the prices low. The service staff has no idea what lactose free or gluten free means some people in my group got grief every night because of that. At least some of the staff are nice because the other half don't care.

We had planned our trip to end at the restaurant at around 16:00 to grab something to eat. We arrived at 16:10 and they informed us the kitchen was closed (even though it says it closes at 17:00 on their website). Kinda ruined the evening. Nestled at the edge of the mountains, Bergrestaurant Châlet Güggel offers a prime spot for soaking in the Alpine scenery and observing skiers as they descend down the slopes. Chalet Güggel is simply the best. Every time I visit, it exceeds all my expectations! The food is delicious, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal after a day on the slopes or something lighter, they have it all. The service is impressively fast, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's clear that they take pride in providing top-notch service and ensuring every guest feels at home. The quality of the food is outstanding, and the views from the restaurant are simply breathtaking. The interior is beautifully designed, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the stunning alpine scenery. In my opinion, Chalet Güggel is the best ski restaurant in the Alps. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in the beautiful region of Jakobshorn in Davos.

Amazing view, good food, best service in Davos To be honest, Switzerland is famous for high prices and Chalet Guggel is no exception. I had been spending my winter vacations for the past 20 years in Graubünden. Davos is a party place and Jakobshorn is fun. The Chalet has a spectacular view and is the place to be, once you pass the age group of 25 years. I enjoy the food they offer a lot. The service on my last stay was exceptional. I had a small injury and was in terrible pain. Once I was laying down on a sun lounger a waitress named “Marie” spotted my discomfort. While she was servicing my food order, she brought icepacks to my rescue, wanted to help with a first aid help from the ski resort. My pain was going on and she was of great help. What an angel. I stayed for more than three hours and my pain gradually became more bearable. I enjoy the food (pizza or steak) and they offer homemade cake, which is fantastic. On a sunny day ensure to reserve a sun lounger. Spectacular.

Flame O — Google review
One of the worst customer service employee I've ever met! Today I went to sledge with my 5y.o. son, and when arrived at Gotschna ticketing desk, I was waiting for my turn behind another person. Just beside that person a lady approaches to the desk and tells the old woman behind the desk that they should avoid letting small kids go sledging with the actual conditions, since she, her son and some other people they encountered on the trail got injured cause of the icy conditions and impracticability of some parts of the descent. What happened next left me speechless... the old lady, instead of listening and trying to assess the situation, bursted on this poor mother who was just trying to bring awareness about a potential dangerous situation, and accused her of not being good with sledging! There wasn't much of a debate, since the old lady just cutted her off and sent her away in a bad manner....... Well, at this point I was next, and felt like trying to make this lady aware about the importane of listening to customers... she replied by telling me "do you want to buy a ticket or you want to complain?" At this point, even if I was just slightly concerned about the sledging itself (I actually like speed and "controlled" danger), I decided to turn and leave, mainly because of this bad, unfriendly, unemphatic, arrogant and incompetent lady...! If she would have to work in a place where service is really important, she wouldn't last a day!!!!! Luckily for her, in a job where her service and friendliness are not necessary, she can go on treating clients this way without anyone getting her accountable... Too bad!!!!!!!!!!!!

Along the way, kids can engage with playful puppets and partake in various activities that spark their imagination. ZWERGENWEG - I got to this place while walking in nature. At first I was surprised by a sharp steep hill and finally a beautiful clearing... you walk through the forest where you are accompanied by stands with dwarfs and seating. A nice walk, I was just muddy, because it rained the day before and the river flowed along the forest path. 😊

(Translated by Google) The dwarf path is only approx. 500 m away from the public car park. Once you've covered half a kilometer, you're off and running. The path is slightly steep uphill and is not suitable for strollers. Our son hadn't slept much that night and we thought it was going to be a terrible day. But when he saw this action dwarf path, which is very rooted. He couldn't be stopped anymore and ran off to discover all the dwarves. The whole route is manageable for a tired 4 year old because everything is so lovingly and excitingly prepared. The path is about 2.5 km long and you have to overcome an altitude of around 107 meters. The highlights are: a cable car (like the one in the playgrounds), a bowling alley, a suspension bridge and the best thing is the golf ball track (see photos), all in the middle of the forest. In between, in a clearing, you can even find a sandpit with sand toys. There are at least two barbecue areas on the Zwergenweg and you can even find a water wheel at the waterfall. The hike through this forest was a lot of fun and you also had to do a bit of exercise. Finally, the path leads over a pasture that is beautifully marked with red/white posts. The bus leaves every hour from the Aeuja Alte Post bus stop and the destination is the sports center. But since this route is also only 1.3 km, you can cover the last part to the car on foot.

(Translated by Google) Beautiful hiking trail in the shade (forest), also very good for hot summer days. Since the path leads over steep paths with many roots, good footwear is mandatory. The children should also be at least three years old. The path is long, but you can always go back to the road and shorten the hike. There are a few stops along the way with a variety of things to discover. However, the website and flyer are out of date. Unfortunately there were no dwarven hats.

The former village dairy, now home to BierVision, offers guided tours on Fridays where visitors can witness the brewing process firsthand and explore the charming village. Using crystal clear spring water, Swiss hops and aromatic malt, BierVision brews a variety of beer specialties following traditional recipes. Visitors praise the knowledgeable and friendly staff who provide an engaging and informative tour experience.
Terrific master brewer; despite being born thousands of kilometres north, it seem like you're speaking with a local. We scheduled a tour of the brewery, and not only were the beers delicious, but the entire experience was fantastic. Through their various brews, Basti and Pascal took us on a tasting journey in a setting that was both engaging and focused on beer. They are, to put it simply, among the greatest.

My wife and six year old son rode the gondola 🚠 up and the three of us thoroughly enjoyed a scenic 7km hike down and around the mountain. The vistas were amazing and the nature all around the trail was beautiful. The trail ends near a small village with a fantastic family restaurant!

Restaurant Strela-Alp in Davos offers a delightful array of regional and seasonal dishes, ensuring a memorable dining experience. Situated near the mountain station Schatzalp, this fantastic establishment provides a picturesque setting to relax and relish the breathtaking view. It is highly recommended to embark on a short hike to reach this exceptional restaurant instead of opting for those conveniently located next to the station. The food's exceptional quality and impeccable service make it an irresistible choice.
Fantastic restaurant near the mountain station Schatzalp. I would highly recommend to take a short hike to visit the restaurant instead of the ones located right next to the station. The quality of food was outstanding and the service impeccable. Probably the best Rösti I ever had! (they call it Strela Rösti). I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Davos.

Strela Alp is one of Davos’s most charming mountain restaurants, located directly on the slopes above Davos Platz. I visited after a morning of skiing and was immediately impressed by the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Alps. The terrace is the perfect place to enjoy the sunshine while savoring traditional alpine cuisine. I ordered their house rösti with bacon and fried egg, which was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender inside. The staff were warm, efficient, and handled the busy lunchtime crowd with ease, always ensuring a friendly and relaxed atmosphere despite the high turnover typical of mountain huts.

The quality of the food has worsen a lot since the change of owners (November 2023) but prices are still very high. We went for dinner on December 29th : the portions were much smaller and not so tasty, some of the plates were served not warm and they forgot the side dish for the fish. They brought the risotto 15 min later when we were done and they made us pay for it when it was included in the menu. Today we went for tea and cake. The quark cake was not fresh, the portion was extremely small and the cost was 9 Sfr. A pity that such a cozy place is not keeping up with the good quality food from before.

Sophie W — Google review
We made a reservation for a birthday dinner for two at Gasthaus Höhwald's restaurant area on a Friday evening in February 2024. We also booked an underground parking spot in advance. There are two locations available: the restaurant and the Stübli. We opted to place the reservation for the restaurant. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and were escorted to our table. We had a lovely view of the fireplace, which added to the cozy atmosphere of the room. The guest room's interior design is tastefully decorated with a minimalist Alpine Chic style. We started with a glass of champagne, enjoyed the amuse bouche, and chose a leaf salad with the house sauce and the seabass carpaccio for starters. We decided on the fried quail breast and the fried sole fillets for the main course. Although I was disappointed with how the quails were prepared in the past at different locations, we were delighted that the quail breasts and sole dish were perfectly cooked. We paired our main course with a red wine. The final bill came up to CHF 300 plus tip. Every franc spent was worth it, in any case. A chocolate souffle with a single candle was offered with the espresso to celebrate the birthday. We appreciated this gesture, highlighting the staff's attention to their guests. They were attentive but not intrusive, friendly but not submissive. Throughout our stay, we felt like valued guests. Furthermore, despite the fully occupied dining room, there was enough space between the tables to ensure the guests' privacy. This attention to detail and consideration for guests' comfort testify to the high-quality service. We wholeheartedly recommend this location without any hesitation.

Zügenschlucht, located near Monstein, offers a picturesque three-kilometer trail through a gorge with varying terrain. The path begins gently with green slopes but becomes steeper and rockier as it progresses through the Steig and Silberberg formations. This Geological Trail features informative panels detailing the area's geology and historic lead and zinc deposits. However, occasional construction work may affect accessibility after heavy rains.

(Translated by Google) The Zugenschlucht is a great gorge of the Landwasser between Wiesen train station and Mondstein train station. Directly at Mondstein train station it is very narrow and deeply cut. You can see this clearly from the bridge over the Landwasser directly at Wiesen train station. From there a hiking trail leads towards Mondstein to the left above the gorge. The outstanding viewpoint is the Bärentritt. The hiking trail then goes fairly level up Landwasser to the Mondstein station. Partly through tunnels.

Lovely hike down from Monstein to Wiesen station, gets a little narrower and steeper as the gorge deepens, but not too exhausting even on a hot summer day. The Wiesener viaduct at the end of the hike a few metres beyond the Wiesen station is an incredible reward at the end of the trip.

(Translated by Google) Very nice walk from Davos-Monstein station to Davos-Wiesen station. We had a very good guide, who spent an hour or two on the road in total, including regular stops for some explanation or a nice view. Certainly doable with young children. Buggy is more difficult on the last part, but it could be possible. When you arrive in Wiesen you can suddenly visit the famous viaduct there, a ten-minute walk from the station. Highly recommended in the summer is to use the historic train. This is a steam locomotive with partly open wagons that runs at a slower pace to and from Davos, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful nature and train constructions more. Highly recommended!

I had a big flaw in my skis and it was repaired immediately and technically perfectly. (Original) Sehr gute Auswahl, fachkompetentes Personal. The Reformierte Kirche St. Johann is a splendid church with a melodious bell that creates a delightful sound. Its chime is rich and pleasing to the ears, accompanied by a smaller bell every quarter of an hour to announce the time. The full hour, however, brings forth an even more resonant and towering bell reminiscent of Big Ben in London. This magnificent church can be observed from the main street of the town and stands as a testament to its historical significance.

(Translated by Google) The Church of St. John was built in the 15th century in the late Gothic style. It is the largest and oldest in Davos. It is located next to the old town hall. Its tall spire and clock tower serve as a good landmark around the city. Like all Reformed churches, it is not luxurious or expensive, yet it has a certain charm and gives peace. Its interiors are decorated with beautiful stained glass windows by Augusto Giacometti. I saw her in August and December 2022.

(Translated by Google) A wonderful, fine-sounding chime. The bell sound is full and pleasant to hear. Every quarter of an hour a small bell rings to tell the time. However, at the top of the hour there is a deeper, larger bell that reminds me of Big Ben in London, so beautiful! ;-) (Original) Ein wunderbarer feinklingender Glockenschlag. Der Glockenklang ist voll und angenehm zu hören. Alle Viertel Stunde erschallt eine kleine Glocke und tut die Zeit kund. Sportzentrum Davos Platz is an exceptional venue to engage in social activities and potentially come away with substantial winnings, surpassing the GDP of Denmark. This renowned casino offers a wide variety of gambling opportunities alongside affluent individuals. Alternatively, you can choose to mingle with the wealthy patrons at the bar while enjoying a steaming beverage or indulging in a glass of fine wine.
The place is designed pretty modern, sturdy, is my favorite architecture. Lots of parking. Convenient to travel, public cars and private cars, lots of sports viewing seats. Clean air. More than anything I like is clean and tidy. Here Davos, Switzerland 🙏🇨🇭

Restaurant
Padrino is a trendy eatery situated in a lively mountain resort, offering traditional Italian cuisine. While renowned for its delectable pizzas prepared in the authentic Italian style, Padrino also provides an array of mouthwatering options on their menu. Guests can indulge in an assortment of tantalizing dishes including cured meats, aged cheeses, lasagna, pasta variations like penne with pesto and even fresh oysters.
Fantastic spot. Great menu and super service. Great wine list with reasonable prices.

What a perfect restaurant. From the owner to the staff and, of course, the food, everything was perfect. Authentic Italian food served with genuine love. Highly recommended.
David H — Google review
Padrino Davos delivers a warm and authentic Italian trattoria experience right in the center of Davos Platz. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, with rustic décor and a touch of traditional Italian charm. I visited for dinner and tried their house-made tagliolini with truffle sauce — simple, aromatic, and rich in flavor, showcasing genuine Italian ingredients and skilled preparation. The staff were warm, conversational, and provided attentive service while maintaining a casual, welcoming tone. It’s the kind of place where both locals and visitors feel at ease, whether for a cozy dinner, a relaxed lunch, or a meal with friends.
Davide R — Google review
Good pizza, but service is mediocre at best. Most waiters, except for their senior, simply ignore me. They seem to be temp workers who don't care about their customers. The senior waiter was giving a good service, but since he's alone for all interactions with customers, he's always busy. Not recommended for single persons and couples. And there are other pizzerias in Davos who make as good pizzas, but with better service for everyone. About prices, as long as there's no fresh seafood, it's a decent price, a bit on the upper range though. It's the cost for quality. But simple entry dishes like green lettuce salad and soup of the day are overpriced, like twice the price you would pay in the nearest Coop restaurant.
Gourry G — Google review
I got the pizza with ham and it was Delicious! Will certainly come back.
Yai V — Google review
We ordered the garlic bread and two pizzas Margherita. Both things were amazing, you can see how they cook everything and it's pretty clear out of the hectic work that the ingredients are all fresh. Waiting times are reasonable and prices according to the area.
Lucila S — Google review
Service was fast and good. The 2 pizzas that we ordered were very tasty and I will definitely try them once more. BUT 17 Euro for a caprese that's cheating. A small piece of mozzarella and one tomato. I know that everything in Switzerland is overpriced but let's get serious at some point
Nikolas D — Google review
Very poor. Terrifble service. They don't answer the phone so I went to order pizza for takeaway. They told me come to collect in 40 minutes. I just went back, on time. The order is at the bottom of the pile, they haven't started making it and told me to come back in 40 minutes. The pizzas are tiny and cost 25 chf. I was buying dinner to thank the family hosting me. To go home without food is very embarrassing. Avoid this restaurant, total lack of care or professionalism. Typical overpriced ski resort opportunistic exploitation.

Montana Stube offers a unique blend of Swiss chalet charm and French bistro elegance, creating a casual yet satisfying dining experience. The menu features a mix of French classics like ratatouille and modern twists on traditional Swiss dishes. Starters include buffalo milk mozzarella and Crudo-covered garlic bread, while entrees range from veal cutlets to gnocchi stuffed with alp cheese.
Montana Stube, the signature restaurant within Hotel Montana, offers an authentic Swiss alpine dining experience in a warm, chalet-style setting. The wood-paneled interior and rustic décor give the place an immediate sense of comfort and tradition. I enjoyed the classic cheese rösti with melted local cheese and crispy bacon—a dish that perfectly captured the flavors of the region. The staff, who also assist hotel guests, were extraordinarily hospitable, providing insights into the culinary heritage and local specialties. Their attentive, welcoming approach created a memorable dinner that felt both gourmet and homely, enhanced by the backdrop of Hotel Montana’s cozy ambiance.

Nestled in the heart of Davos, Restaurant Pot-au-feu offers a delightful dining experience that leaves guests raving about their visits. With a cozy ambiance and friendly service, this charming establishment is perfect for groups or intimate dinners alike. Diners have praised the superb quality of food, from mouthwatering starters like Gambas al ajillo to exquisite main courses such as fondue and perfectly cooked steaks.
Charming steakhouse with a wide variety of options. We went for the meat fondue (broth not cheese) and the pumpkin pasta. Service was a challenge as there was only 1 server for the entire room and she could have used some runners to help.

Nice and cozy, we liked starters the most, in particular Gambas al ajillo and the pimentos. Fondue Chinoise was overall quite good but some meat cuts had just too much fat, not really great...

Service: Took ages to take the order, we asked several times for stuff, never took away finished bottles and several glasses. Food: Forgot dishes we ordered. The signature dish „Falsche Schnecken“ seemed unreal, tiny portion of meat leftovers and highly overpriced. All in all really disappointing, even more since it was pricy.
Giuliano F — Google review
We spent a great ski weekend in Davos and dined at the restaurant two times and tried most of the menu items. The food was very tasty. The ambiente was also very cosy and the service was professionals. Definitely to recommend and we will be happy to come again.
Jaroslav G — Google review
Food took 1h20m to come. The excuse was that there was a large group downstairs which is fair but also not something my group should be penalized for. The food was ok: the tenderloin was great, the cote de boeuf was really good, the T-bone overcooked. The bone mare mediocre and the venison... well not sure it was delivered. Overall they tried but didn't deliver and didn't try to make up for it other than saying sorry. Maybe next time.
