Ecological park
Nature preserve
Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar is a coastal reserve featuring salt flats, sand dunes, and salt lakes. This nature reserve is home to various species of plants and birds, including migratory flamingos. Visitors can also experience open-air mud therapy treatments using the clayey muds found in the salt ponds, known for their therapeutic properties in reducing rheumatism or arthritis effects.
On a glorious Mediterranean morning, what better place to come for a chilled out walk. There are plenty of places for coffee & cakes before you set off for a walk, which is approx 2 kilometres along the bar. The Mud Bath jetty's are on the left, and I'm told it's great for the skin, who knows. The flamingos are just getting on with their day-to-day business as for the stilts, egrets and sanderling, these are a little more skittish. There are toilets along the way, and it does tend to get a little breezy in the afternoon as the wind picks up. Highly recommend whilst in this area for all even the little one's. Enjoy.

The most beautifull natural coast i ever saw. A must see.
Eric G — Google review
Very pretty!! The flamingos are amazing to see and the wooden walkway through the dunes is perfect!!
Lisa T — Google review
Wild flamingoes right by the car park! Beach with lifeguards, not the clearest water or the cleanest beach with some smells from the meat by port but free parking and a nice time had!
David R — Google review
The pink salt lakes are extremely photogenic and the flamingoes just add to the experience. It's so calm and peaceful and delightful. The boardwalk to the beach enables access for all. The staff in the tourist information office are extremely helpful and friendly and to be commended. They made a very good experience into a fantastic experience.

Lovely nature reserve and park. Fantastic walk. Plenty of parking
Anthony B — Google review
Lovely morning watching the pink flamingos. The walk through the nature reserve can be really hot and humid but beautiful. The beach was full of seaweed this year, probably weather driven but didn't stop us going in the sea. Well worth a visit.

Lovely place to go for a walk. I didn't fancy the mud baths but if you do then there are lots of easy places to get in.

Pinatar Arena is a must-visit for sports lovers, boasting a capacity of 3,000 seats and nestled within the larger Pinatar Arena Football Center. Since its inauguration in January 2013, this venue has become a hub for national teams and elite European clubs seeking training camps and friendly matches. The arena features top-notch facilities including well-maintained natural grass pitches, excellent changing rooms, and ample parking options. Visitors can enjoy an inviting atmosphere with nearby bars to unwind after events.
Amazing gym facilities and free, easy parking. We have a villa nearby and visit regularly, and they offer a short membership option of 2 weeks which is perfect for when we’re over there…just need to try and avoid the wine shop over the road on the way in or out now!

Had a great experience here. Fantastic facilities, great bars and atmosphere, easy walking distance from surrounding areas and plenty of parking out front.

2nd time visiting. Great setup and amazing up close seating for matches. Ticket prices for chargeable games are very cheap €5 or €6 per adult. Good well stocked bar with drinks and snacks onsite too. Seen local teams play like Real Murcia and Elche as well as UK teams over for training camps

Came to watch a pre-season game while in the area. Nice way to spend an evening, friendly staff at the bar, and enjoyable experience

We’ve been a few times now and watched some great teams but something needs to be done about the refereeing, I’ve watched referees have more control over Sunday league matches. The fouls allowed today at Spain / England under 19s were horrendous.

Las charcas

4.3
(1196)
Las Charcas is a unique destination where visitors can enjoy a communal and purifying experience by covering themselves in mud from the salt beds. Despite the eggy sulfur smell and slimy texture, many find it to be an amazing and fun experience. After letting the mud dry on their skin, visitors can wash it off in the warm waters of Mar Menor, known for its high salt content that allows for effortless floating.
When you get over the eggy sulphur smell and feel of slimy mud under your feet, it’s an amazing experience we thoroughly enjoyed it. Get wet, mud up then walk around for a while the mud dries on you. Go back in, then clean off (an old sponge helps) then you can go over to the other side of the wide walkway into the Mar Menor to have a lovely swim. Very salty so you float! All for free.
Andy T — Google review
Las Charcas Mud Bath – 4 Stars (But Hold Your Nose!) If you’re up for a wild, stinky adventure, Las Charcas is absolutely worth a visit—just don’t expect a spa-like scent. The mud baths are disgustingly pungent (think rotten eggs meets swamp monster), and the smell definitely lingers longer than you’d like. Still, the overall experience was a blast, especially with my partner. We couldn’t stop laughing as we slathered ourselves in thick, grey gunk and watched each other morph into swamp creatures. There’s a quirky, earthy charm to it all, especially with the backdrop of elegant flamingos pecking away at the tiny creepy crawlies that wriggle around the area—nature doing its thing up close and personal. Just don’t look too hard at what might be moving near your feet… All in all, it’s fun, weird, and memorable. Four stars for the unique bonding experience—just maybe bring a clothespin for your nose.
Robert P — Google review
Wow, so picturesque and lovely calm, warm water. The mud area to bathe in and cover your skin was great fun and it certainly seemed to make our skin smoother! You can lay back and float comfortably, the salt content is that high, hence picture of pink salt beds that is harvested, just behind where we were bathing. A few more visits and maybe I'd be looking 10 years younger!! 👴 Lovely area with plenty of places to eat or just drink and chill. I love the relaxed pace of life they have there and Spain in general! Definitely worth a visit. 😎
Adam S — Google review
A must place to visit and enjoy, people watching as they bathe in the mud allowing it to dry and bake on their skin before wading it off in the natural salt lake . The flamingos are spectacular and the scenery is beautiful. Easy to find and easier to find your way home .
David B — Google review
Really lovely place, and amazing that it's free! Easy to find. Highly recommended
Sam G — Google review
Random thing to do and it does not cost anything. You collect mud from the lake thing and then cover yourself in it. It is meant to be good for your skin. Pretty funny to be honest and worth a visit. We went out of season, so I would not know how busy it would be in season.
Stephen B — Google review
For Free, you can grab some mud, slap it on yourself and wait till it's dry then walk into the salty sea for all the minerals. I didn't do it myself but loads of other people did and it looked like they were enjoying themselves! Also it's no#1 thing to do on trip adviser for the area.
Chris J — Google review
You'd pay a small fortune for this in a posh spa. You just rock up with a bucket and help yourself to mud.

Bodies of Water
The mud baths at this destination are a popular attraction, drawing many visitors seeking health benefits from being covered in mud. People have reported surprisingly smooth skin after the experience, despite initial skepticism. The water's surface may be cold, but the bottom is warm and offers a unique sensation. While there is a slight smell, the results make it worthwhile. Visitors can enjoy beautiful walks and scenery in the area, with plenty of dining options and opportunities to observe wildlife like pink flamingos.
They say there are only two natural places like this in the world — here and one in Israel, which makes the experience even more special. Entrance is free, which is a big plus! Parking right next to the site can be tricky, but you can usually find a spot within a 10-minute walk from the main road. The air has a slight smell due to the surroundings, but the mud itself doesn’t have an unpleasant odor. There are several piers that provide access to the lagoon, a lot of space for everyone. The piers are often muddy, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to put your belongings down — they may get dirty. Bring a small bowl or container to collect the mud — or someone might lend you one. You’ll usually find plenty of mud just under the piers. Apply it to your skin while on land, let it dry for about 20 minutes, and then rinse it off in the lagoon. The water is shallow and pleasantly warm, and the bottom is surprisingly hot in places. There are a few benches around the area — some are located right next to the piers, which is convenient for resting or keeping your things off the ground (and away from the mud). Right across from the lagoon, you can refresh yourself in the sea — without the mud this time! The sea is also shallow and warm.
Petr W — Google review
Fun to do it once. Purely for tourists, locals do not go here :) Collecting the mud from the bottom is a bit tricky, you would need 2 small buckets, one for digging underwater, one for collecting. Water is really hot in places, so watch out :)
Gintaras I — Google review
Imagine yourself covered in the wonderful mud spa, for free. Even young people enjoy this experience as it feels so good. The smell might be a bit funky, but just think of your future beauty. No worries because this mud spa is all natural and worth a try. After it, you will feel like a brand-new person.
Aggie W — Google review
Good experience, plenty of room for everyone as imagine will be busy in summer months. Lovely beach on other side with lovely bars/restaurants. Free spa experience, albeit a bit whiffy! Parking could be an issue.
Donna D — Google review
This place is so much fun, take a bucket and collect the mud from around the platform where it is thickest. Slap on the mud all over and wait for it to dry. Take a dip Is the shallow knee deep lagoon to wash of the mud leaving your skin feeling soooo soft. A flannel is good to take to help get the mud off afterwards.
Richard K — Google review
Wonderful experience we always visit when we're in the Orihuela area it's a must , exfoliate the mud all over your face & skin, the best bit is a lovely soak in the salt lake skin feels amazing after.
Green1980 — Google review
An interesting experience, there are several piers here where you can get into the sea. There you take mud from the seabed and massage yourself. Then you let the mud dry on your skin and wash it off in the sea. Remember to take a bucket with you to collect the mud.
Marko L — Google review
It looks beautiful, but when you smell it, it can be off putting. There were people already covered in the mud. Things you need to take, sea shoes (it's hot on the floor of the mud flats) a tub to crap the mud into and stand on the pier to put in on. I loved floating in the lagoon to wash of the mud. You need to give it a good scrub to get it off. We were talking to other Brits who were telling us that it helps with their eczema.

Bar & grill
Nestled along the stunning Mar Menor, Desde 1977 Bar Restaurante El Paraíso has been a beloved culinary gem for over four decades. With its inviting terrace and breathtaking ocean views, this Spanish eatery offers a serene atmosphere perfect for enjoying delicious meals. The warm hospitality of Sergio adds to the charm, making every visit memorable.
This has always been our favourite restaurant in Lo Pagan, and we bring our friends here whenever we come to Mar Menor. A perfect location opposite the beach, great selection of food to suit everyone, and the host is really friendly. Today we tried the menu del dia, which was very good value for money. 😋
Marky B — Google review
The club sandwich was drenched in a weird sauce and was flavourless. Something was definitely off in that sandwich. Even the fries were horrible, soggy and tasteless. Some of the worst quality food I’ve ever had. If they had a smaller menu and focused on increasing the quality it wouldn’t be so bad. I’m not one to usually complain about food but that made me sick. The best part of this meal was the water.
Emma — Google review
Had to go to the bar to order the food. After more than 30 min they told it will take at least 20 min more. We left without getting any food, After discussing If we just Pay for our drinks. Several other guests returned their food. Avoid this place! Answer to to owners reply: I have no interested in lying, but I think it would be fair to inform customers when ordering, that it will take more than an hour to make pizza and sandwich. But everyone is welcome to eat in your place, i just think they should know what to expect
Jesper N — Google review
A great terrace and DELICIOUS food. Highly recommend this Spanish staple which has overlooked the Mar Menor for 40 years. Sergio is a great host and we love coming here for the tranquil atmosphere, great views of the ocean and all the local life, and the tasty treats. Our favourites are the Revuelta Mallorquin (scrambled eggs with caramelised onions and black salt—possibly the best egg dish I have had in my life) and the perfectly seasoned calamari.
Ed W — Google review
Non existent service. Waited more than an hour for food and had to gave up and leave...
Urban S — Google review
Very disappointed. Calamari was insipid and undercooked followed then by sole that was over cooked and flavourless. It was such a shame but really not up to expectations. * Yes you brought them back whilst I was eating my main course which was over cooked. Calamari needs to be cooked through not raw on the inside. I was so embarrassed I wrapped it in a napkin and put it in the bin at home. ** I had stomach cramps all night and I have just vomited after trying one of them. *** I told the young waiter twice that the calamari was not cooked and he ignored me twice preferring to be all over the couple next to us.
Russell E — Google review
Stopped for lunch nice burger and toasted sandwich both with fries and a drink. Good food well priced friendly service.

Restaurante Buffet Grill Paloma is a fantastic Mediterranean restaurant that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The food is exquisite, with beautifully cooked dishes that are flavorful and abundant. One standout dish is the garlic prawns, which are highly recommended. The restaurant maintains high cleanliness standards in its premises. Prices are reasonable, and the extensive menu provides plenty of options to choose from.
Very good value for money. It’s a great place to have typical Spanish food. We’ll definitely go back.

Great value for money, excellent food and the owner or owners, wonderfully sociable and accomodating. Pizza, emanada, salmon artichoke, 2 wines and a beer almost the size of Donald trump's ego...all for 24 euros. And great service! Highly recommendable!

Absolutely unpleasant people!!! Totally disappointed with food and staff which are very rude and racist to British people!!! On the menu they sell squid with 5€ but charged me with 18€ and also told me if I’m not happy I can go back to my country!!! I was with my child and didn’t want to ruin her vacation, but this kind of attitude is unacceptable!! Very disappointed!! Do not recommend this place English speaking people!!! Look at the added foto of the squid portion that cost me 18€

I did enough Google search to find a good place to eat around. Decided to choose this and was the best Paella. Totally recommend
Arjun W — Google review
Terrible experience in this place, waiters extremely rude, they definitely don’t understand the concept of good service. Avoid at all costs. Go to the Beach Bar round the corner instead.

Paella was delicious. Salads are also good and quite big. Good prices for good food.

Very good service. It can be seen that the restaurant workers are trying to explain everything to each client, a very respectful and friendly attitude. They offer you a choice of grilling any kind of fish or meat. Thank you! But the food disappointed me. Although maybe I expected a lot from the buffet. I'm used to better food. Sorry.

Kebab Pinatar is a hidden gem that you simply must visit if you're in the area. Nestled in a charming location, it offers delicious kebabs with fresh salads that are not overly greasy, making for a satisfying meal. Many patrons rave about their Rollo kebab and fries, which are freshly prepared and served promptly. While some have experienced longer wait times during busy hours, the overall consensus is that this spot serves some of the best kebabs around.
Nice chicken kebab. Well spiced. Good portion size. Good value for money. Friendly staff.

We bought 2 rolls of chicken kebab to take home to our accommodation after a round of golf, they were incredibly fresh and very tasty. We will definitely be back.

We went here for a quick take out meal the first night when we had arrived at a nearby hotel after a long drive. The food is your standard kebab and fries/chips. Nothing to write home about but definitely not bad. We opted for the mixed kebab plate with fries. The service was good and the staff speaks English for those with limited Spanish.
J A — Google review
No sauce, no spices, almost nothing.. french fries were soggy aswell. worst kebab i have ever gotten.

A lovely place to eat, very reasonably priced, with a good outside seating area- like a little park with trees, across the road from the San Pedro del Pinatar salt flats. It is a takeaway, so there is no table service, but the owner is very kind. I forgot my handbag and he looked after it until my husband returned a few hours later- what a relief! I was going to leave a positive review anyway, as the chips with feta, the kebab pizza (a meaty pizza) and the chicken wings were very nice, and especially the ice cold beer!
Charlotte L — Google review
It is a local spot in the middle of nowhere. Everyone passing this place on the way to lo pagan has to try this kebab. I had kebab rollo i can recommend it to everybody. Call in and try.

Honestly amazing food and as cheap as you can imagine but obviously prices have raised by €1 since last time but those are just prices everywhere. Did wait in line for about 20 mins so keep in mind if you’re looking for something quick. It seems to get busy around 20:30 ish. Customer service was super nice always attentive and spoke and understood English with an English menu so no worries about explaining yourself 😂 Definitely a solid choice if you want something quick nice and even something to take back to the hotel room and watch squid game (definitely not what I did). So solid review 4 stars only because my feet hurt standing and was a bit overwhelming with a lot of people and a small building but nothing that needs improving:) hope this helps and enjoy!!

Beach Villananitos is an urban beach with a boardwalk and plenty of dining options. Visitors can enjoy the gray, thin sand and calm sea while taking a stroll or bike ride in the area. While some visitors have noted challenges with parking and seaweed in the water, others have praised the clear waters and enjoyable amenities like beachside chiringuitos serving cold drinks and delicious food.

A quiet, family-friendly beach with calm, shallow waters — ideal for a relaxed swim or just soaking up the sun. Playa de los Villa Nanitos has a peaceful, local feel and is usually less crowded than other nearby spots. While the beach itself is simple, shops and restaurants are just a short walk away on the adjacent road, making it easy to grab a bite or cool drink. A great choice for a laid-back beach day.

Molino Quintin is a significant landmark in the resort town of San Pedro del Pinatar. Unlike traditional mills, this unique structure was originally used for grinding salt and distilling water from the Mar Menor into containers for salt evaporation. It stands as a symbol of the area's historical ties to salt production and offers visitors a glimpse into this fascinating aspect of local industry.
Windmill is behind a fence but great location. Mud baths are here.

The windmill is derelict and fenced off. Seems a shame that it isn’t made more of. There are lovely walks and cycling paths nearby together with cafes. The salt water attracts flamingos and other birds. Nearby they also bathe in the water and cover themselves in the mud which is supposed to be good for the skin.

Pizza restaurant
Pizzería Ristorante Don Giovanni is a popular dining spot in San Pedro/Lo Pagan, known for its delicious food and wide menu selection. Despite the rising costs of eating out in Spain, this restaurant offers reasonably priced meals with excellent service. Visitors praise the welcoming and friendly waitstaff, quick service, and generous portions. The paella and pizza are highly recommended dishes, while complimentary samples of Spanish omelette and panacotta add to the overall dining experience.
Very good restaurant with excellent food and good prices. Went there with my husband for my 30th birthday and we were very happy with our visit. I had the lasagne and it was just fantastic. Lovely wine and chocolate dessert made it complete.
MaryLou — Google review
We've been coming to San Pedro/Lo Pagan now for 11 years & we always eat out here at some point. With the current exchange rate (2018) eating out in Spain has become ridiculously expensive last night was €130 for 4 adults & 4 children for 2 courses. Eating out in the UK would be half that in a similar restaurant. The food here is very good, a big menu with a wide choice. If you eat at an English time you shouldn't have a problem getting a table, however, it does get very busy when the Spanish come out later on. Service is ok, but could be better as is the case with most Spanish places. They have amazing salads, and I always enjoy a grilled meat dish. Overall a nice place to eat out, but Spanish prices overall are making it very expensive. Still a similar price to El Pato Loco & Tombolo.

Second visit of our holiday, the first was fine, decent pizza and pasta. Unfortunately this visit hasn't been a good experience. 4 main courses ordered, arrived over a 10 minute period, the peppercorn sauce was so salty it was inedible and the garlic bread never arrived. I won't be returning and certainly wouldn't recommend.
Paul S — Google review
Waiters were welcoming and friendly. Service was quick and excellent. Food was reasonably priced and nothing was too much trouble. The paella and pizza are a must try and we were even given a couple of free samples of Spanish omelette and panacotta!

Restaurante los Molinos is a delightful culinary gem that you simply can't miss. Initially, I stopped by for just a drink, but the mouthwatering dishes at nearby tables lured me in for a full meal. The mixed meat and vegetable platters were exceptional, showcasing top-notch flavors and fresh ingredients. The restaurant boasts stunning views and immaculate cleanliness—seriously, how do they keep those tablecloths so pristine? The service was friendly and efficient, making my dining experience even more enjoyable.
Everything was so good, best restaurant in town. Kind, fast service, delicious foods with wonderful presentation. Prices are reasonable. (they can't speak English as well, but that's common at this area) Even though, they were very nice! I've chosen the daily menu, worth it!

Pizzeria La Cabaña II recently reopened after a refreshing refurbishment, and it’s already making waves with its inviting atmosphere and delightful menu. Diners rave about the special sauce salad and the exquisite goats cheese tart, while the pizzas continue to impress as always. The friendly staff contribute to a relaxed dining experience, ensuring that guests feel right at home. With a diverse selection of pizzas and reasonable prices, this charming eatery is perfect for anyone looking for delicious food without breaking the bank.
1st night open after refurb. Great night, lovely food, great staff, pleasant atmosphere. The special sauce salad is lovely, the goats cheese tart to die for and the pizzas as good as ever. House white wine is also very good and reasonable price. Excellent.

Called in with my family - a lot of staff but non where that attentive. Placed our order - this was delivered randomly - sides arrived and then our pizzas weren’t served until they cleared our plates. A disjointed service. Staff didn’t seem to want to be there - very lack lustre towards customers. Staff were walking about but not paying attention to customers. A number of tables around us seemed to be experiencing the same as us. Huge Que of customers waiting to be sat down but again staff just walked past them and didn’t pay attention. Food could have been better - chips were very fried/hard - garlic pizza was more like a crisp it was that cooked - pizzas were standard nothing that I would rave about. Chicken on one of the pizzas had a chewy texture. We ordered - 1 white wine - 1 large water - 2 soft drinks - garlic potatoes - chips - garlic bread - 3 pizzas Price €64

I recently visited this restaurant, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The food was terrible, lacking quality, which led us to leave without even touching our meal. More concerning was the staff's complete disregard for food allergy requests, making it a very dangerous place for anyone with dietary restrictions. This was once an excellent restaurant known for its great atmosphere, but it seems to have declined significantly, possibly due to new management. I strongly advise avoiding this establishment until improvements are made.

Nestled slightly away from the bustling tourist spots of San Pedro del Pinatar, Restaurante Hogar Del Pescador is a hidden gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This charming eatery boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, complemented by friendly staff eager to guide you through their delectable menu. Diners rave about the exquisite fish dishes, including perfectly cooked calamari and lubina, alongside succulent steaks that are sure to impress.
My partner and I had a truly gorgeous meal in this lovely old style traditional restaurant on Tuesday night. We were the first arrivals into the restaurant at 8.30 to ensure we could get a table. The food was amazing, the calamari, lubina and rodabollo were all cooked to perfection and all served by great hardworking and friendly staff.

My family had heard good things about this restaurant and unfortunately this place was a complete utter let down. I'm not sure what the problem was with the staff but it needs a serious check. I'll start from the beginning and make my way down. Service took so long for anything, they don't pay attention to their tables at all it seemed. We'd try flag them down several times but they'd only look at the table they were at then hurriedly leave, there was several times I made eye contact with the servers and waved them down politely and they'd just ignore me or my parents. They gave us drinks and bread, the bread seemed to be going stale it was not a nice crunchy bread but stiff and felt like it was cut and left out for ages. About drinks as well, my father ordered a Coca-Cola, saying it a couple times to the server, the server then brought back Pepsi and without confirming, poured the drink hurriedly into my father's glass. This was already quite annoying, as if you don't have Cola, say it, as he hates Pepsi. The server said they didn't have Cola, so me and my dad switched drinks. But later into the meal, another server got my dad Cola, so there was Cola and that server lied to is which is incredibly rude and annoying. We ordered Calimari, Baby Squid and Paella. Warning you that the Paella will take over 30 minutes to be ready, so if you're in a rush like we were, don't order it. The baby squid was not very baby. I love baby squid so I was really looking forward to having some, as I love hunting for the best. This had to be on the top 3 for the worst I've had and I hate to be rude. Since the baby squid weren't very young the texture was completely different, as well they had a lot of ink which make the taste significantly different. I also had to add a lot of salt which didn't help, I couldn't eat it at all and had to spit it out. It was also bathed in oil. The Calimari was actually pretty good, I didn't have much because my parents love to drench it in lemon, but unfortunately, one piece had a large string of steel wool in it, clearly on the surface. It makes me worry how careful they are with these things if they can't see a glaringly obvious gray piece of shining metal. The Paella was really good according to my parents, I don't like it so no comment on this part from me. Only good things about this place are prices, decor and the amount of comfortable space between the tables. I would not go here again, it was incredibly disappointing and really upsetting for me as this was my last day in Spain, I was looking forward to some good baby squid. I apologise for any rudeness in my review this time, the feeling I had leaving this place really made me upset.

Saw some other great dishes going to other tables and the waiter kindly told us what they were. So we will be back to sample more delicious food. It has a great atmosphere too.

This is a great restaurant with an extensive Spanish Menu but with interesting twists. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great wine selection, all at a sensible price. Def recommend the Pulpo, Fried Aubergine and Honey, verduras, prawns. Highly recommended.

Fresh, traditional Spanish food. This time we sat at the bar. Wonderful service. We had tapas and shared a main dish. Plenty of food for two. I highly recommend it if you are in the surrounding area.

Food was good. Service a mixed bag ranging from the male middle age waiters who was outright rude n hostile compared to the lovely female young waitress. Loved the food. But won’t go back.

After sitting outside once before and getting ignored mostly we decided to try again and had two great meals since. Today after ordering a cod dish it came cold and undercooked. Sent it back and it returned in the same condition. Very small cod portion. We told them not to try a third time but they brought it back again. We told them to take it away. Am I wrong in thinking two tries is enough for a portion of birds eye cod fillet? Non smiling and abrupt service as though we're getting in the way. Anyway...the bill came including €32 for the two portions. Spoke to manager who suggested they'd tried their best snd didn't understand the problem. Told him I wasn't paying for that part if the bill. He finally accepted that but told me I had a lot of cheek and put his hand on my shoulder. Ugh! Plenty of options around so won't be going back...how hard is it to cook a cod fillet well and smile whilst delivering it? Too hard for them apparently
Daniel V — Google review
Between 4 of us we had 2 types of paellas. One was a bit too salty but otherwise the food was good and so was the service. The decor inside was comfortable and it really felt like we were in a traditional spanish restaurant.

Brought my family here for lunch in 2019 and late dinner in 2020. It's very much a Spanish restaurant. They are incredibly welcoming and friendly including allergy concerns. Recommend reserving a table on advance. It is popular! However they have always accommodated my last minute appearance. Large terrace, huge inner dining area.

Very good portions, and a very nice atmosphere. We came here for our comida de empresa with friends and had an absolute blast! The rice was very good. Was recommended by a friend to come here for their Fish & Chips which is only served on Fridays. Came back twice and ordered two plates of it cos that's how good it was. Also serves one of the best pints of Guinness! Generous portion and have a wide selection of delicious food too. I came here with my sons for a few drinks whilst staying for a long weekend to watch some football. We found the landlord and his wife a really friendly couple who made a bee line to talk to us and feel welcome. The sports on offer was great, golf, rugby, football, tennis, all on separate screens. There’s indoor and outdoor seating which can easily accommodate 100 people. Whilst we didn’t eat, the food looked and smelt lovely, especially the Sunday dinner (which I wished we’d had!!) I’d definitely recommend it for a warm and friendly atmosphere, great selection of drinks and delicious food.

On thursday we stopped by to have a drink. It was an okay experience, but doesn’t felt staff wanted to help us, but still we got our order. We saw an advertisment about breakfast on saturday. So we went today again. Me and my mate said hello to them when we walked in. The staff was again not pleasing. We sat down and waited for like 20-30 minutes. Nobody wanted to serve us. When a british family came in like 5 minutes later. They got helped nicely and very fast. The staff walked by around our table a couple times, they just Ignored us. Such a shame and awful experience. Also I felt discriminated! Wont recommend people to visit this. There are other nice bars with friendly staff.

Yo, let me drop a review, keep it short but tight, Amigos in San Pedro got the vibes just right. But the real MVP, gotta mention her name, Olivia the waitress, she the star of the game. Drinks on point, man, the flavors hit strong, Cocktails so perfect you can’t go wrong. Mojitos, margaritas, or a classic with ice, Every sip smooth, every taste real nice. Service with a smile, energy on high, She light up the bar like the sun in the sky. Fast on the floor, never missin’ a beat, Friendly and chill, man, the service elite. So if you roll through town and you wanna feel right, Hit Amigos, best spot for the night. Olivia got the crown, that’s the truth I’m spillin’, This bar ain’t good—nah, this bar is killin’. Want me to make a few different versions (one short & punchy, one more detailed & rhymed) so you can actually paste them as Google reviews depending on the vibe you want?

Museum
Located in the beautiful coastal city of Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca in Spain, Museo del Mar y de la Sal is a captivating ethnological museum that delves into the city's rich salt-harvesting history. Opened in 1995, this cultural institution near the harbor showcases an array of exhibits including old photographs, salt-made objects, model boats, archaeological artifacts, and fishing tools.

Nothing to write home about as it was small. However it was an informative museum in a very narrow scope. You can always do your own research to dig in further on the stories and facts presented. The museum is not a bad starting point

Its not that big of a place but we were pleasantly surprised at how much they actually had going on in there. There's quite a few exhibits and as others have said, the models are pretty cool. It's free to enter, and there's no way to actually make a donation or anything so you don't feel obliged to give, and don't feel as though anyone is expecting you to give. There were two staff on when we went and they were friendly on welcome and exit and didn't bother us other than that. Its not life changing but I would recommend going if you're in the area.

The initial visit to Museo Palacio Barón de Benifayó o Casa de la Rusa was thoroughly enjoyable. The cuisine was expertly prepared and the live music added to the overall experience. However, despite these positive aspects, there were some drawbacks that prevented a higher rating. The price for a meal for two felt exorbitant given the quantity and quality of the food and drinks provided. Additionally, the service left much to be desired.

(Translated by Google) We were there on June 13, 2024. We called in advance to reserve tickets, the man told us that there wouldn’t be many people on Saturday and we could come without any problems. Admission is free. We parked easily on the street in the parking lot along the road. The museum is small but very cozy. There were three halls: archaeological excavations, a room with toys and a room with radio equipment. Everything is decorated with love, clean, quiet and calm. The detailed review took approximately 30 minutes. If you are in this city, I recommend going for a change. (Original) Мы были 13 июня 2024 года. (Translated by Google) The place, the views and the surroundings are great but the people are very rude and they also make lots of bottles... This is terrible, the city council should take action on the matter. The bike lane is very frequented by pedestrians.... In short, a negative point for the San Pedro del Pinatar town hall. It has a parking lot, very clean portable toilets with paper, low foot showers to clean off the sand and salt when you arrive from the beach, and several stone tables and chairs. It is at the beginning of the wooden walkway that ends the short route on Torre Derribada beach. (Original) Muy completo para ser un merendero, aunque no hay fuente de agua. (Translated by Google) A good place to sit there in the shade after doing the trail or after going to the beach to snack on something, but in the same way it would be best to put a few more since there is space. Also some trash cans and if they put a water fountain to drink it would be ideal, if you have to go get water for a large group......it is better to go home (Original) Un buen lugar para después de hacer el sendero o luego de ir a la playa sentarte ahí en la sombra a picar algo, pero de la misma manera lo mejor seria poner algún que otro mas ya que hay espacio. Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of the city, Restaurante El Castillo has quickly become my go-to spot for tapas. This charming eatery boasts a delightful array of traditional tapas displayed for your choosing, reminiscent of old-world charm. The staff, fluent in English and incredibly welcoming, adds to the inviting atmosphere created by its owner—a talented jazz and rock musician who hosts live concerts every Thursday night from June through August on their spacious outdoor patio.
Fully recommended. The small local restaurant. If you want to taste delicious spanish cuisine along with local citizens this is the place, real spanish life style. Morover, the staff is very friendly makes you to come back again even to have only a coffee.

Real authentic restaurant with very nice tapas. Friendly owner. Great music.

Fantastic place though doesn't get lively with locals until late. Excellent choice of food and beers, (I never knew there were so many types of Estrella) seafood is first class and very reasonably priced. Lovely having dinner in their outdoors seating area as the sun goes down.

Update - Ive been coming here for many years, my first ever review being 6 years ago and can say the place has seen some mayor changes, but overall its much better now. Food is quite premium and service is good. They play live music every Thursday night and the ambience is quite nice. Defenitely do suggest stopping by if you are near the area.

Live music set in a square great staff and English speaking if you do not fancy practising your Spanish. Great atmosphere and for what you get a good price. Will go back

I always enjoying going to El Castillo, Ito and the team always make me feel welcome and take time out of their very busy days to chat, especially if I bring family with me, Ito is a gentleman and a lovely man

My new favourite tapas restaurant. Old fashioned in the way that they have lots of different tapas to choose from on display. Excellent English is spoken by the staff and the owner who also is a renown jazz and rock musician. Live concerts will be held, he told us, every Thursday night from 21.30 to midnight from 6 June to the end of August, in their large outdoor patio. See you there! Y gracias José!

We stumbled across this place after failing to find somewhere that looked appetising. And I’m so glad we did! I’m sitting here writing this at 11pm. We are the only ones in here and they arnt rushing us. In fact the owner is very attentive and the paella’s amazing. We will definitely come back in the day time, and visit here again. Well recommend.

Jose runs a terrific ship if you’ll excuse the pun. The food is excellent , freshly prepared and reasonably priced. I would recommend Carpathia for lunch or dinner, you will not be disappointed!

It's more of a snack-bar than a restaurant. Food average. Service very casual. OK if there's nowhere else to go.

The best tortilla in the area. There's a Monday morning market on selling fruit & Veg and clothes etc. Good to go to Carpathia for coffee and tapas.

Restaurante Porto Chico offers a delightful dining experience with its stunning views of the marina. Guests can savor delicious Spanish cuisine, including mouthwatering entrecôte and delectable cheesecake, all while enjoying a glass of red wine. The atmosphere is enhanced by the friendly and attentive staff, making for an enjoyable meal in a picturesque setting. Although some diners noted that service could be slightly slow at times, the overall ambiance and quality of food make it well worth the visit.
Had a lovely entrecot here tonight with a tasty cheesecake for dessert and a vino tinto. Service was excellent and the restaurant very pleasant, looking out over the marina. We walked and got taxi back, bit of a trek but well worth it!

Unhygienic place when I was there I saw a dead cockroach next to our table plus when I went to the toilet I saw two cockroaches. My two friends orderd a lobster and it wasn't fresh and it didn't taste good, I will not recommend this place even the atmosphere inside the restaurant I looks like it's still stuck in the 90s

Italian restaurant
Restaurante Don Giovanni in Torrevieja is a true gem for Italian cuisine. The food is described as super tasty with generous portions, including Sorrentino gnocchi, Ferrari pizza, diavolo pizza, margherita pizza, and chicken risotto. The desserts like tiramisu and baba rum are said to be absolutely amazing. Customers have praised the quick service and friendly staff, with some mentioning that their food was served within 10 minutes of ordering.
