Be sure to ask if the eggs and fruit/veg are organic (“from the land”) and direct from the seller. I like the paprika from the lady at the first stall inside, and she has lots of insight about other goods (quality, source, etc). I like the honey from Novak - amazing quality from his own hives, and great prices - very friendly also. I like the pickles and cabbage from the lady inside the building (not the produce tent, but the cheese and meat building). It is generally cash-only, so be prepared with real money. It is only on 2 or 3 days a week, and not all vendors are there on all days. Definitely gets crowded and can be hot inside too, but worth a visit for fresh goods.

World’s largest swimmable natural thermal - it’s fun for a couple of hours. Trees provide some shade. Cards accepted for entry but need a cash deposit for swimming floats - worthwhile to aid a relaxing dip. We found that the water had a soporific effect and led to a great night’s sleep!

Lake Heviz is a place where people seek health in a thermal lake rich in minerals. You won't feel the benefits after just one visit, but it's interesting to see. The changing rooms weren't very clean, and you need to bring slippers.

This is a lovely thermal lake which also is huge. Everyone gets an armband that also gives you a personal locker for your belongings. Note that you can not pick any locker you have to blip the armband at the screen when entering the locker room and then you are assigned a locker. We went to this restaurant with our family. We have tried 4 dishes and drinks. The food was average however the atmosphere was cosy. The price here was a bit overpriced because it's near to the Hévíz lake bath , which we can say a popular place in Hungary. Recommended for quick lunch or dinner.

Probably the best restaurant in Hévíz. Most places when I order a cocktail I can not tell if it actually has any alcohol. Not here. They made it strong, but still delicious. We had several meals here during our stay in Hévíz and not one dish was anything short of perfection. Don't miss their ice cream which is incredible.

Update Summer 2024: Still going strong, feels like we were there last week and not a year ago, so everything below still stands and it is still highly recommended. Added some photos of this year food. --- It is one of the better places in Hévíz and popular, so seat-reservation at least 2 days before. Compare with other places locally I can just say it is not only double size meat, but even better quality. In the end you still pay less than in the centrum-placed restaurants. Nice after years of Covid and high energy-costs, the waiter-staff are still the same, speaking English and German (and probably some other foreign languages I do not know...). And the waiters tend to joke with the guests, so bring your best humour. Guests tend to come back year after year, like us, so we know it has been a safe bet for many years and nothing seems to change that in the future. On critic point they have not yet discovered alcohol-free wine, but that they are not alone in Hungary...must still be imported, so hardly any have it.

One of our favourite restaurants in Heviz. It is out of the town centre near the vineyards but worth the visit. It is also a bit cheaper than the other restaurants in the main town. I had beef filet with roasted vegetables. Very tasty. Waiters all friendly.
