Shopping
The Cornbow Shopping Centre is a pleasant place to shop, with a good variety of stores and a coffee shop on the lower ground. The only lift for disabled access is in the inner circle, but other lifts are available by multi-story. Parking is an old but efficient multistory.
What a nice surprise finding this little gem of a shopping centre. 3 hours free parking and most of the shops you need. Clean and tidy and not too busy. Will definitely come back when we are next in the area. Don't tell everyone as i don't want it to get too busy 😊
Steve C — Google review
Nice clean little shopping centre. I love the new additions "massage chair" £1 for 5 minutes absolute bargain and work wounders. New candy floss machine £3+ different flavours and styles. Herons is a great place to get some cheap bargains. Reasonable priced shoes sold by the shoe man at the bottom of escalator. Book stand is an amazing idea. I have had some fantastic local history books for donations and often take my own unwanted books back down. Cash machine available to use free of charge. Gregg's and Costa are places to sit down relax with coffee and a bite to eat. Veg man has some good deal and fruit and veg is fresh. Love the Duck Eggs!! Plenty of vanity shops to buy makeup, hair dye ect. Card shops for every occasion Overall a great place to shop
Billie S — Google review
Has lots of shops and 6 floors of car parking free toilets shops on 2 levels 2 and ground big asda poundland b and ms peacock costa coffee accessible via escalators lifts and stairs so disabled friendly the library has 6 floors lots of computers friendly staff always nice and clean 😉
Matthew B — Google review
The Disabled Toilet was a nightmare, after opening a door the size of a canal lock with one hand sitting down to going into a complete dark room awaiting for lightning to turn on who would put a switch in a Disabled toilet, leaving door slightly ajar so can see the toilet, then been in complete dark when someone pushed door shut ,don't go reaching for emergency cord ,that's tied up well out of reach for a standing person. A pull cord light tucked out of sight all the emergency cords tied to ceiling. No automatic lights and no assistance on door ,not worth 1 star sorry as I had to crawl out
David M — Google review
There is a chemist, Holland & Barrett and a Library, Costa, Poland land and b&m also savers, Greggs and card factory. Specsavers and select ,toilets asda and Halesowen bus station very closer to Cornbow shopping centre .
Spam W — Google review
As an outsider looking in, it seems to have killed the town centre's other shopping, ie the High Street. Asda is an awful place to shop being split on to different floors with no logic as to where different items will be found.
Michael C — Google review
Pretty good place, not massive but good selection of shops , spent loads, only problem is Mrs wants to go back.
Steven R — Google review
It's become a ghost town over the last few years with basically charity , Turkish barbers and vape shops in abundance . Halesowen once a great town R.I.P

On Thursday evening, I visited the Loyal Lodge Inn for tea. There were ample seats available, and the service was satisfactory. The wait time for food was reasonable, and it turned out to be delicious. I decided to return on Saturday during tea time. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. However, there was a long wait for pudding, and the ladies' toilet lacked soap while the provided glasses were dirty.
Food is amazing here great prices and great portion sizes. The staff are so friendly and really helpful
Rianne M — Google review
Excellent in every way. All the young ladies on the bar were delightful. Friendly and polite. Servers were lovely too. We had the lite bites £6.95 each. Bargain and absolutely delicious. I had the gammon, egg and chips, partner had the haddock goujons with salad. Cooked perfectly and obviously freshly done to order. Others had jerk chicken salad and a lasagne. No complaints at all, not even a quibble about anything. Pub itself comfortable, nice atmosphere and nicely decorated for Halloween. Easy 10 out of 10 on everything and 100% will go back for more food. Thank-you staff and chef/s for a very pleasant lunch A*

A large group of us dined here last night, and it was absolutely amazing! All 13 of us give full marks — not just for the delicious food, but also for the outstanding service. Every dish was a hit, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. We can’t wait to come back and try even more of the incredible menu!
Natalie S — Google review
Very busy pub, I would recommend always prebooking. Meals are fantastic. The pub itself is quite loud - not from music though- just the amount of people and atmosphere. The staff are lovely. Friday and Saturday evenings are obviously the busiest/loudest and can be a longer wait for food but that's to be expected. Prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes meals. We have never had a bad meal here.
Clare W — Google review
Great food, nice atmosphere and fast and nice service especially on the puddings no complaints whatsoever and it’s not pricey

Stopped for lunch with mates, I ordered the burger and friends had pies. All very nice indeed and better value than most places. The bar staff were fun and friendly, made us smile.

Just had a superb roast at the Loyal Lodge. The food was outdtanding and service was excellent, making you feel like nothing was too much trouble even when we asked to change tables. The mash, roast spuds and baby carrots were the highlights for me.....and obviously the meats. Sadly no room for pud. Lovely place, nice atmosphere with good beer.

Parks
Leasowes Park, located just 20 minutes from Birmingham City Centre, is a Grade I listed naturalistic landscape designed by the poet William Shenstone. It's considered one of the first natural landscape gardens in England and is on par with renowned landscapes like Blenheim and Stowe. The park features picturesque elements such as waterfalls, bridges, and landscaped gardens. It offers a serene escape from city life with its lush moorlands and scenic beauty.
Absolutely beautiful little gem, we followed the golf course track and by the little streems and ponds it was absolutely picturesque! Will be visiting again!! Plenty of free parking and really close to town if you wanted to nip in for snacks before or after.

Nice park with a few different paths to explore. And dog friendly too… Only downside is lots of dog poop everywhere … even tho dog poop bins are available :(

Another nice park locally to myself.. Situated in Halesowen on the southern edge of the West Midlands urban conurbation. It is a 57-hectare public park, Site of Special Scientific Interest, containing the remains of one of the most important and influential landscapes of the 18th century. The garden at The Leasowes was designed by the poet William Shenstone beginning in 1743 and continuing until his death in 1763. Shenstone created his garden from farmland; forming a diverse landscape of wooded valleys, open grassland, lakes and streams. Today, The Leasowes is of major historic significance ranking in importance with landscapes such as Blenheim and Stowe, and being listed as Grade 1 on the English Heritage 'Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England'.

Supermarket
Asda Halesowen Superstore is a fantastic destination for all your shopping needs, conveniently located and easily accessible. This clean and welcoming store offers a wide variety of essentials, from fresh fruits and vegetables to everyday items. The friendly staff enhance the pleasant atmosphere, making it a great place to shop. Plus, with additional amenities like dining options and even a library nearby, you can enjoy both food and relaxation after your shopping spree.
Lovely mall. It has different stores and even a library. I was able to print a document. Lastly, it is conveniently located at the bus interchange for Halesowen.
Temmie M — Google review
I love their Rewards scheme. I get money when I shop, not things I don't want, likes, at other supermarkets. The only thing they need to sort out is the means of entering and leaving the store. Many people use the entrance to exit as they don't want to walk to the far end of the store, just to have walk back again to the exit point.
Ann W — Google review
Just been into the halesowen store , for rather a large shop . I accept that the store is gonna be busy this time of year . But the self serve tills always seem to have a problem & you always have to wait for assistance . We had two cash pot vouchers totalling £13 & tried to use them together . Only to find that despite having the above total . We were only allowed to use 1 . These cash pots build up & you should be able to take the amounts off your bill price . We both feel that this is a total rip off & are very annoyed about it . The halesowen branch seems to be slowly going down hill . The staff do their very best . So no criticism of them at all .
Graham W — Google review
I was shocked by the ridiculous policy at this store. My 16-year-old went in to buy a can of Monster, which is completely legal for their age, yet the cashier demanded an ID not only of him but his friend as well, my child did indeed have an id and the fact they refused to server him due to the fact that his friend (who is 17) didn't have an ID is appalling. Since when do teenagers need an ID to buy an energy drink?! Nowhere else enforces this rule, and it’s not even required by law the children went down the road and bought a monster elsewhere for my son.
Alex N — Google review
We had a trolley full of shopping. Staff refused to open a manned checkout.we used a self checkout After a struggle we completed the operation. However when I tried to apply a voucher from my phone the self checkout would not accept it.after numerous attempts by my self and a staff member I lost patience and stormed out. Why can't asda realize some older people are not computer savvy and need manned checkouts.
David S — Google review
I’ve had it up to here ^ It’s a bloody disgrace at this point. STOP CHANGING THE STORE AROUND! We had consistency for years, then all of sudden you’re changing the store around like it’s a Barbie’s Dream House. What’s the actual point of this? It doesn’t make me want to browse it just makes me want to leave the shop and go to Blackheath Sainsbury’s as they have consistency to their lay out. Sort it out ASDA Halesowen it’s beyond a joke at this point. To be honest with your continuous lack of stock I’m surprised you have enough items to keep moving around. Fuming.
Wha3000 — Google review
Store had empty shelves everywhere in the bakery and cake sections to say it was a saturday i had to ask for an item as the shelves were empty a member of staff went and gotbthe item from the store room but you wont sell what people cant . Also the outside of the store looks dirty and needs painting lets Halesowen down

I wish they'd stop letting primary school children design the layout... I hope it's primary school children that are doing it, because if that's designed by a real manager, I hold my head in despair.

Red Lantern is a popular Chinese restaurant known for its piping hot and non-greasy food. Customers appreciate the generous portion sizes, considering it great value for money. The staff is praised for their accuracy in taking orders, making it a reliable choice for Chinese cuisine in the area.
We are regulars at the red lantern and I have to say we have never had any issues, food is always amazing, Ste is great nothing is ever too much trouble. Best Chinese we have ever had. We will continue to go here. Sarah and mark

Don't know why I keep giving this a chance. Terrible. Didn't give us everything we ordered. Food in polystyrene that's recooked and soggy. Uncooked mushrooms in the curry... the sauce wasn't mixed up properly... hardly and meat. Inedible. £45 pound... straight in the bin.
Dominic M — Google review
Pre ordered for 6pm and had an order confirmation. Called at 6.30 asking where order is, she was “pretty sure” it was on its way. Called me back 10 minutes later to see if i had the order, after saying no she said “i know why because the ticket didn’t get printed for us”. So why ask if I've got it? Went back and forth on the phone she was clearly young and inexperienced so will give her the benefit of the doubt. Called back and asked for the order to be delivered asap, she was very apologetic and told me she would “cook it herself if she has to”. Called back 30 minutes later and owner tells us the order was cancelled. After 2 hours of waiting the order was cancelled. Will never return.
Ashley M — Google review
Delivery drivers are great and very friendly. Food is lovely the 3 times ive ordered it, however i always state NO ONIONS OR MUSHROOMS in my curry. 1st time, perfect. 2nd time half a ton of mushrooms 3rd time (benefit of the doubt) mushrooms again. Wont be bothering to order there anymore. Pity as it was actually nice (once id spent 10 mins removing the mushrooms and losing half of my curry)
Mr J — Google review
Food came an hour late and lukewarm, salt and pepper chips were missing and when they came they were lukewarm also and they were oven chips, the kind you can just buy from the shop, just with salt and pepper put on them. Rank
Sam P — Google review
Lady on the phone was rude the food took 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive also forgot to bring chicken curry will not be ordering again
Ashley W — Google review
Egg fry rice chips curry sauce in a tray hardly no curry sauce chicken chow mein was dry 1st time ordering but never mind delivery was quick
Salah H — Google review
After spending nearly £50 on food you would think all of it would arrive and hot.. BUT NO! After waiting how long for the food to arrive half the items were missing, called the restaurant to which they said they would send the food out now.. to which we waited 35 mins for it to turn up WRONG! Box Meal 1- can anyone tell me how salt and chilli chicken wings, chicken balls, spring rolls, onion rings with rice can turn into chips with onion rings.. after a very long wait on the phone waiting for the manager, for the chef to say everything listed is not what goes in the box and I was in the wrong!! Check your menu first before you criticise a customer! Manager then didn’t offer to send another replacement out but to huff and puff down the phone and say well you’ll need to ask for a refund through just eat and put the phone down! Anyway the food that already had arrived was tasteless, bland and everything tasted like vinegar! Don’t even get me started on what was meant to be satay sauce but smelt like gravy and tasted just like curry sauce! DO NOT EVER USE THIS CHINESE RESTAURANT!

Fast food restaurant
KFC, the iconic restaurant chain famous for its delicious buckets of fried chicken, offers a variety of combo meals and sides that are sure to satisfy your cravings. While many patrons rave about the mouthwatering food and fresh offerings, experiences with customer service can vary. Some guests have noted instances where staff seemed less attentive or rushed, leaving them feeling overlooked. However, there are shining stars among the team!
Serving food that never let you down.. Always fresh and hot and super tasty👏👏
Nick K — Google review
Place was a bit messy inside with dirty tables and overflowing bin but it was busy. The world’s smallest chicken wing I’ve ever seen and two legs in my bucket?? Taste was okay but couldn’t enjoy it because I was peeved off.
Char L — Google review
Food is lovely, customer service is lacking a bit though. Wife was left hanging at the tills when requesting something despite no other people in the restaurant. When she finally spoke to them they just listened and shouted the request to the cooks and walked off, quite rude all round. Also a lady brings our food to the table all slow after chatting with the delivery drivers and then asks us to review using a qr code, standing there all awkward for a little while before realising we aren't going to scan it before we at least eat. The good tasting food saved this from becoming a negative review.

The server called TILLY at the drive through.is absolutely shockingly rude. She has no customer service skills at all. She speaks like she cant be bothered and like I was wasting her time and giving people dirty looks..honesty worst customer service skills

It was marvellous. Staff were excellent and the food was hot and fresh. I'd go as far as to say this was the best KFC I have ever had in my life and I have been coming to KFC since I was 9 years old every day and im now 52. Every lunch or evening meal.

I ordered for delivery and received a bucket with two pieces of chicken missing, when I rung up to ask for them to be delivered I was called a lier by a man over the phone but then said if I travelled to the Halesowen KFC he would give me the missing items, after explaining I have two young children at home and couldn't drive and also had paid for delivery he then said that's the only option. I am appalled at the attitude of what I was told was the manager and disgusted in the none existing customer service, would definitely not recommend this KFC after my experience.

For day 2, we recommend exploring the northwest side side of town. Start the day off with Sandwell Valley Visitor Centre (formerly Sandwell Park Farm), then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to The Shell. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Farms
Nestled in the heart of Birmingham, Sandwell Valley Visitor Centre (formerly Sandwell Park Farm) is a delightful escape into nature. This expansive green space offers rolling fields, hedgerows, and stunning views that invite you to explore at your own pace. You can wander through RSPB Sandwell Valley or take a refreshing dip in Swan Pool. The area is rich with history, featuring remnants from an old priory and WWII gun emplacements.
An amazing place for families to visit, especially those with young children like ours. The only animals here are rabbits as the farm animals are now located at Forge Mill Farm nearby. There are lots of events which are run throughout the year such as Easter, Christmas or any school holidays so would sign up to the Council’s newsletter to be reminded of these to book tickets. We came today for a Teddy Bears Picnic Event which included a Teddy Bear Hunt, soft play area, sensory area, story time and a crafts area where we made items to take home and it was only £20 for a family of four so well worth it. Outside the Centre there is now a train for families to enjoy which takes your around the park for just £1.50. This may only be for half term and other school holidays as have never seen this before today. The team room is very nice with great food and cakes for breakfast or lunch. The service is excellent and the setting is very nice inside with plenty of seats and tables inc high chairs for children. There are approx 10/15 rabbits in the garden and the end of the Visitor Centre who live in really nicely made mini houses. They also sell toys and have recently added books for adults and children which are great. They sell their own honey too for £8.50 a jar. Parking is £2 for all day and starts from just 40p for 1 hour.

What an amazing little gem of a coffee / snack restaurant . With a beautiful little garden at the rear and plenty of seating, you can't go wrong. We ordered food and coffee and wasn't disappointed, it was well worth the price and tasted fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place for somewhere to stop and take a break. Also to add to this post, Digbeth Dining was on site, and it remained dry . Great choice of street food and an array of beverages to choose from.
Carl P — Google review
Visited for the first time since before the pandemic and didn't realise it was no longer a farm. The ladies inside were very helpful though, explained to us that the farm animals have been moved on to Forge Mill, and the opening times for there. We then had a look around this centre to see a few of the displays inside. The tea rooms were closed on this particular day, but are usually still there and running.

Impromptu visit with young children today (22.07.25) in an effort to get them out and about and off the gadgets. Sadly it was a massive let down! I DO NOT recommend anyone coming to visit this place. There were no animals whatsoever. No information provided by staff or any notices displayed informing visitors on the lack of animals. Even the once very established and maintained gardens was a big disappointment. Hardly any fruits, vegetables and herbs. There used to be a small maze for young children to enjoy which has for reasons unknown is no longer there. I’ve tried to find information online which could elude to or give an explanation on why this place has been left to ruin and abandonment but haven’t found anything.
Mr M — Google review
We came to Sandwell Valley Park for the day and always loved coming over to see the farm. I know they had turned it into a rabbit farm but now that's even gone which it didn't inform on the website. I came here as a child and it was the highlight of my trip to Sandwell Valley it's just such a shame now to see how much has gone. The shop is great and the coffee shop but the gardens although beautiful they are not the same quality as before. It's a shame to see not alot on for the summer holiday. Its sad to see it how it is now and no animals not really a reason for people to even venture inside.

Boulder Central is a popular indoor climbing gym in Warwickshire that offers a friendly and accommodating environment for climbers of all levels. The staff are known for their kindness and helpfulness, creating a welcoming community for both regulars and newcomers. While the facility provides an enjoyable experience with reasonable costs, some visitors have expressed concerns about unsupervised children posing safety risks during climbing sessions.
Lovely place really enjoyed climbing walls suitable for all levels of climbing. Good for kids and families too fully recommend see you next time guys🙏

This has become my local gym for the last 6 months. The staff are all very friendly as are the regular climbers that I’ve met here. As usual everyone is very encouraging and welcoming which is typical of the climbing community. The routes are often interesting and the beta isn’t always obvious which adds to the satisfaction of working a problem. There’s a good range of climbs from slabs to a large overhang wall and even a platform to top out on which is always fun. I also love the music. My only complaint is that it doesn’t open earlier during the week (I work evenings).

Fantastic climbing centre with a wide variety of styles. Including a boulder area with top outs! There is also a cave area. Staff are really friendly and great environment. Building also has a massive fan for staying cool in the summer. Highly recommend. Also fairly quiet on an evening compared to commercial gyms.

We had a great first experience at Boulder Central in a group of six. The centre is large enough to handle a good flow of people, and there's plenty of room to have a break in the centrally located seating area. The climbing routes are consistently graded, providing a great challenge for any skill or experience level. Drinks and treats aren't cheap, but they sure were good! ***Don't forget to watch the safety video and complete the online registration form before your first visit***

We took our Grandchildren 4years and 3 years. Nice place but not for children as it is not safe and they seemed to get in everyone’s way . There should be an only small children area or they shouldn’t be allowed in at that age . Even though we were with them it is hard for them to enjoy entirely. I wouldn’t go back. One staff member was not nice. The rest of the staff was nice.

I was nervous about starting bouldering so I paid for an induction. I met Nat who introduced me to the gym and gave me some good advice. Completed a few climbs within my skill level. He was friendly, knowledgeable and fun to be around. And praised the community feel within the gym which I felt just walking round. I paid for a 12 week punchcard (with no pressure applied). I’m looking forward to starting a New hobby.

Brilliant place. Took our 9 year old grandchildren who loved it. Staff great. Nice cafe. Would highly recommend.

Excellent place, plenty of holds and areas for varying difficulties, routes are consistently updated so youll never "finish" all the boulder problems. Highly recommend a day out activity, small cafe and seating for the accompanying non-climbers you bring along!

Reasonable value, good quality food with excellent service. Kam is absolutely on it and is a really good quality member of staff for sure. Front of house is Sadia and she is really good too. Worth a visit the food was tasty and spicy enough as I requested. I had chicken tikka jalfrezi, and next time I had the chicken Biriyani which was very good too and the accompanying naan was fresh nicely cooked and hot to the touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Absolutely worth a visit

First time I have ordered from here after reading many positive reviews. Unfortunately my review is negative but brutally honest. The food was delivered hot and the gentleman taking my order was polite and informative. The food, however, was was below average. I ordered a veg balti. It is clear this restaurant uses frozen mixed veg, not fresh as per the the reviews I read. The chips were undercooked soggy fries. Very disappointing and does not live to the 3.9 rating. I hope you accept my review as constructive.

Ordered online. Milkshakes watery and flavourless. Took almost an hour and a half for a band luke-warm curry and rubbery rice. Never again.

Ordered a takeaway at 7.30 they told us it would be an hour for two curry’s. At 8.45 we rang to chase they told us it would be with us in 10 minutes. It arrived at 9.00. The food was nice tasting but not very warm.

Used to like this place food was cold when delived rice tastes like rubber and chicken tasted off. Never again

Avoid this place at any cost, tasteless food, order took to arrive more than 1hour.30min, milkshake was like milk, fish pakora was just batter no fish in it,chicken fried rice was dry with no taste, overall taste less quality less food, rude staff need to call them 3 times to ask about the food.

Brewers Fayre - The Lakeside is a casual pub serving grilled dishes, salads, burgers and steaks. It has a homely atmosphere with themed menus showcasing international cuisines types each week night. The staff are great and the food is excellent.
I have been to this Harvester a couple of times recently. I am very impressed with the place and the food is really good and it is nice and hot. Everything is freshly cooked to order too. The staff are very friendly and helpful and courteous. It has a large restaurant with ample amount of parking and it’s also free.
Pete J — Google review
A large capacity Harvester with plenty of free parking in the car park. Food was hot, prepared quickly and served quickly. The salad bar was fully stocked up. Having pre booked and mentioned that we had a baby and pushchair, the initial communication with the waiter upon entry was disappointing as he wasn't being accommodating to the fact that we had a pushchair. The table we were given didn't have sufficient space for a pushchair, it was very tight and there was plenty of other empty tables available.

The food tasted absolutely lush, well presented and good portion sizes. We were served by Drew who provided outstanding service very welcoming, pleasant and hardworking. I will definitely request him as our server on future visits.

Review of Harvester, Castlegate Business & Leisure Park, Dudley I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Harvester branch located in Castlegate Business & Leisure Park, Dudley, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in many ways. Firstly, the location is incredibly convenient. Nestled within the bustling business and leisure park, it offers ample parking space, making it easy for visitors to access without the hassle of searching for a spot. Once inside, I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the outlet. The bright and inviting ambiance created a welcoming environment that made my dining experience all the more enjoyable. The staff at this Harvester branch truly stood out. They were exceptionally professional and attentive, ensuring that our needs were met promptly. Our meals were served in a timely manner, which is always a plus, especially when dining out. Now, onto the food – it was absolutely delightful! Every meal was cooked to perfection and served at just the right temperature. I appreciated the attention to detail in the presentation, which made the dishes look as good as they tasted. It’s clear that quality and customer satisfaction are high priorities for this location. Overall, my first visit to this particular Harvester was a fantastic experience. With its conducive location, clean environment, professional staff, and delicious food, I would highly recommend this outlet to anyone in the area. Whether you’re looking for a casual family meal or a place to unwind after a busy day, this Harvester branch is a top choice that I will surely return to in the future!

Very busy lunchtime during the school holidays as you might expect. We pre-booked to avoid disappointment- but most people don’t and then some complain about the wait. Another app to download. Still, at the time, the promotion (only on the app) was that kids dine for £1 when adults pay for a full price dish. Be aware though that the daily specials of 2 or 3 dishes for £xx can’t be used at the same time. Reasonable prices for above-reasonable food, served perfectly by the staff. Decent, clean and pretty quiet by 2pm.

I’m not a fussy eater but that’s taking the PIZZ When approached “is everything okay with you’re food” I said well look at it I’m not going to eat any of it and the server got the manager and the manager tried to defend it somehow?? I had a really upsetting experience today at this soft play centre. I arrived before 6:00 PM, which is clearly the latest entry time. However, the staff member at the reception was busy chatting with a man and completely ignored me and my son. We were standing right there, clearly visible. By the time she finished her conversation and finally turned to us, it was 6:03 PM. I explained that we had been there before 6, and she had seen us waiting. But she simply said, “It’s past 6. You can’t go in.” My son started crying outside the door. I asked again, kindly, and reminded her I had arrived on time, but she was cold and dismissive. I asked to speak to the manager — she said the manager was in a meeting and refused to help. Then another staff member came. She listened to me respectfully, understood the situation, and said, “They were here before 6. Let them in.” But again, the first staff member refused. She told her colleague: “If you want to let them in, you can open the gate yourself.” Thankfully, the kind colleague helped us get in. She even offered a free drink for me and my son since the manager wasn’t available. I refused. I said, “No thank you. Nothing can undo the way I was treated.” What made this worse is that I have a monthly membership card — and this was only the second time I was using it! Being treated like this, despite being a regular paying customer, felt extremely unfair and humiliating. Honestly, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of disrespect — possibly even discrimination. I’m very grateful to the kind lady who helped us. She made a difference. But experiences like this should never happen — especially not in a place meant for children and families. I truly hope management addresses the rude and unprofessional behaviour of the first staff member so no other family has to feel the way we did today.

This is a late review as l was unsure if i should post this however with the lack care in the reply i received i feel i should On the 06-03-25 me my sister and two friends took our children here for the soft play area after 30-45 min of being there my son was involved in a accident (my son is 2) him and another child banged into each other which resulted in my son going head first into a table leg which split his forehead open! This resulted in him having to have his head glued! Like i said this was an accident however this may have not been as bad if the tables were appropriate for the area! Every soft play i have been to have round tables with round legs or legs that are under the middle of the table NOT large solid wooden table legs (pub table) I had emailed a few days later as all i wanted was to make them aware of what had happened and so that it does not happen again to other children but the email i received was far from caring and i felt that they did not seem to care at all in any way shape or form ! I also noticed that the area itself was grubby and had ripped play equipment which was taped up I have attached photos as i personal feel that the safety of all children should be taken seriously as a mom this was beyond upsetting and i felt like i let my son down

1. Ultimate Cheeseburger 2. Steak & Fondue 3. Children’s Cheesy Pasta The burger was atrocious — undercooked chips, a rock-hard bun with the middle scooped out, and some strange curdled “baby milk” cheese dumped on top. The burger meat was inedible, the bacon burnt black. The steak & fondue was no better — served cold with a big, stale bread roll just thrown on the plate. Again, that same foul-tasting “cheese” appeared, more like gone-off milk than anything fit for human consumption. Charging £15.99 for that is daylight robbery. To top it off, three lemonades came to £10. Never again. Avoid at all costs save your money . £50 I wouldn’t have paid £10 for all that. Disgrace

Pub
The Royal Oak in Halesowen is a cozy British pub known for its wide selection of draft beers and a buffet. Visitors have praised the warm and low-key atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to catch up with friends or celebrate special occasions. The menu offers a variety of delicious options, with generous portions and flavorful dishes like steak and chips. The staff are commended for their exceptional friendliness and helpfulness, ensuring a seamless dining experience even during busy times.
First time visit today to The Royal Oak, having passed many times before but not stopped off to check it out and give a review before. The staff member who served me at the bar was polite, happy and friendly - giving a warm welcome from the start. Everyone else working here give off the same impression too. Music at a comfortable level, temperature and light all just right for a great relaxed visit. Outside at front and back, there is tonnes of space to sit. With sheltered spots for that British weather. Only one small note for improvement, but doesn't impact my visit at all. Could do with getting one of the Gents toilet door locks repaired and the soap dispenser. There was soap there in a bottle on the side though. Very glad popped in here this afternoon just for a drink this time, will definitely return again and try some of the food too as looked delicious! Thanks for the nice experience.

Lovely pub in heart of Halesowen. If you like a traditional pub that is also modern then you won't be disappointed. The pub always has a relaxing, chilled atmosphere that makes it perfect for a get together be that with friend or family, colleagues or just yourself. As an Ember Inn you will get fair pricing and well maintained draughts. Thete is a lot or parking around the pub going from the one side all the way around to pub"s bowling Green at the back. But it fills quick which is the only negative I can think of.

Asked for 2 saveloy, 1 battered sausage and a bag of chips. Soooo expensive £2.60 per sausage and £3 for a bag of chips, which was the size of a small cone of chips. Total rip off for the portion sizes. Saveloys really dry/hard too. Very 😞 disappointing

Disgusting to be honest. Horrible chips frozen cold and stuck to the wrapper probably been there for hours. My meat was burned and found a hair in the food which made us throw the food away. Money in the bin. Won’t be returning.

£10.70 for this, i also had a large curry sauce. The ends of the fish were crispy the rest of the batter was soggy. I only had a 2 min journey to my house so it wasn't wrapped up for long. Will never go again, ridiculously over priced.

Went in later Saturday night as they were closing up, all they had left was a medium size fish and charged me £8.20, as I paid by card didn’t realise until I got home. Bloody disgrace, will NEVER use again. Thought future customers should know

What a great place for a walk. Well worth a visit. Amazing views, incredible scenery. Plenty of different trails. Some trails are steep and tough but worth it for the rewards. Muddy at times.

Clent Hills is a beautiful spot about 30–45 minutes from Birmingham. The views from the top are absolutely stunning, especially on a clear day. Parked just outside the National Trust Nimmings Wood car park on the roadside. There's free parking along the road and there's also the main car park (pay-and-display) which has toilets and a small cafe. The walk is a relaxing mix of woodland and hill paths, with the Four Stones viewpoint being the highlight. It’s great for photos and a quiet sit-down. The area’s popular but still feels calm and spacious. Would 100% recommend for a walk, some peaceful time, or even a light hike.

One of the best loved hills around the midlands. Stunning views especially as the sun is setting. There are many routes to the summit, some very very strenuous others an easy climb. My good lady who is a gym energy bunny was shocked at the route we took and now sees it as a challenge and wants to run here. There was a variety of people up on the summit from young to elderly. I absolutely love this place.

Pretty place for a walk, worth the visit especially during nice weather 🌤️ it’s so nice even if you don’t catch sunset. However be wary if you’re not a fan of dogs, owners tend to leave them to walk freely rather than having them on a leash.

Car park is £4.50 all day but can park on the street for free. Small little cafe and free toilets

Village hall
Halesowen Cornbow Hall is a popular entertainment venue in the town, hosting a variety of events from live music performances to theater productions. While some visitors found it smaller than expected and had difficulty finding it, others were impressed with the helpful staff and services provided for their events. Despite some minor issues like parking and bar selection, many enjoyed the fantastic entertainment at this venue and are looking forward to returning for future events.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the venue team for sharing their space with us for our Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi commemoration night. Mevlana holds a very special and significant place in our hearts as a cherished figure in Islam, and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to honor and introduce him to others in such a respectful and meaningful way. Additionally, the cleanliness of the restrooms and kitchen, along with the convenience of the parking area, were all major advantages that added to the success of our event. Thank you once again for all your support. 🌹

19th October 2024 .My first time here to see the very funny Jonny Cole .A Black Country legend he was here to entertain the masses. Being a Yorkshire man it's taken me some time to understand the dialect but once you do he is hilarious The songs are so funny and his description of the towns are spot on .You have to live in the area to appreciate his humour ,but he does play other places I would think .so if you want a good night out he's your man

Had a pre wedding event held at this venue. Very impressed with the service provided. Staff provided recommendations for decor companies and stage set ups which we ended up booking. Very helpful staff who always gave a helping hand with arrangements before and after the event. Very friendly and helpful. Can not recommend enough
Talatt M — Google review
Parking was very tricky as the adjacent multi storey had only ground & 1st floors open, so had to drive round 3 times before getting the last space. There were so many people driving round trying to find spaces! Why arent the other floors open when theres a busy event at this venue? Chairs were uncomfortable & far too small, & not enough loos - interval of show had to be extended due to this. Concert hall was spacious & cool with good acoustics, but Im not keen to return to this venue.

Sad that a historically important site isn't accessible, even when managed by English Heritage. It's such a shame that the current landowners are so rude and unwelcoming. We urgently need the right to roam in this country.
Mark C — Google review
This is the only English Heritage site within 10m of our house so it’s sad the site is effectively inaccessible as the new landowner is keen to keep people away. The site is effectively closed. It really makes no sense why it’s on the map - no visitors can enter and everyone will leave irritated by both of them. Until English Heritage can make an agreement with the landowner to reopen the site they should remove this from the map and update the website explaining why. The current situation is a shame as before the site was sold I remember visiting it regularly when open by the Abbey Trust. It’s an important site we should all be able to access.
Harry S — Google review
English Heritage should really remove this site from their directory. You can't get anywhere near it, the best you can do is tramp through a farmers field for 15 mins to catch a tiny glimpse of what's left of the Abbey across a stream through some trees. Don't bother.
Jarrod H — Google review
Visited via an EH Open Day 30 years ago. It was very well attended. Since then a guy must have bought the land and told everyone to clear off (judging from the reviews, and myself included). Time to compulsory purchase the land and develop as a tourist attraction?
Tony W — Google review
The abbey is located on private land (check the website). It can be seen by leaving the bridle path or from the northern bridle path 80m away. Be aware I walked up to the buildings by the Abbey to ask to take photos and was confronted by a "gentleman" wearing full combat fatigues, dark glasses and face covered with a bandanna sporting a shotgun over his shoulder telling me quickly leave what he claimed was his property.
Nigel ( — Google review
Pointless, there is no parking anywhere near this site, no signage and the land its on is privately owned with no access! It would be better if English heritage took this off the website! Wasted journey very disappointed

Have been here a few times without a problem. However today we waited over 30 minutes for two breakfast. In that time they brought food to people who ordered after us and seemed to prioritise take away orders. We were offered extra coffee to make up for the wait, however this doesn’t make up for the bad service. Food when it arrived was lovely. I work in Halesowen, with service like today it isn’t somewhere I could come at lunch time.
Jo W — Google review
Went here to compare it against the nearby wetherspoons, well I have to say it beats Spoons by a mile. Food was of good quality and very tasty. Price wise its on a par with Spoons but the better quality food makes it a far better choice. You can swop and change items to make up what you want but it seems like everyone is catered for from the off. Massive selection of food available. You'll be impressed.

Was in real need of a fry up as it's been a while, daughter mentioned the grill so we popped in for food, service was great and staff so welcoming, we ordered and got 10% discount for some reason, food is reasonably priced anyway so bargain. Food arrived reasonably quick, the food was piping hot and lovely, just what I needed, great tasting food at good prices and lovely staff, we will return. They also do Turkish food for those that want it.

Outstanding food and a good range of drinks. Friendly staff, fast service and reasonable prices. Visited this Wednesday night and took advantage of the 2 for 1 offer on burgers. Absolute bargain for great portions and quality. Pool table, lit up dart board, many TV screens (often show live sports apparently), great decor. Proper class pub, love the vibe and bits of local history on the walls. Looking forward to coming back again to take advantage of all the other daily offers!

We had a lovely meal here on Wednesday. Lovely atmosphere, really good pub grub and dog friendly. Even though our little monkey Connie left a naughty present on the floor 🙈 sorry about that!
Luke H — Google review
Popped down for a beer with a friend who is a local. The staff were very friendly and attentive, keeping themselves busy collecting glasses and the areas tidy. There was a kids party going on at the time which took most of the space up inside and the beer garden was quite noisy but for a Sunday afternoon it’s to be half expected. It didn’t dampen the experience though. Saw some food come out (burgers etc) which looked good, I’ll try them next time I’m there 👍

McDonald's is a timeless fast-food institution that has been delighting customers with its signature burgers and fries for decades. When you step into any McDonald's, you know exactly what to expect in terms of food quality and taste. This particular location stands out as one of the best I've ever visited, thanks to an exceptionally attentive staff who were not only polite but also impressively professional. It felt like I was experiencing a well-oiled machine at work, making my visit truly enjoyable.

We always get served quickly in here, and the food is always hot which is rare for a McDonald’s. It is also very clean and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. My son always enjoys chatting to the staff and doing any colouring or activity they have in.

Food was good I had chicken nuggets were awesome crisps and nice fries were already salted I wish they weren't but the coke was ok. Service waited 10 minutes not bad but not great. Needs a little bit more cleaning.
Thai T — Google review
Staff were shockingly rude when I asked for help with my app order. All stood in a huddle even after making eye contact with me. Had to literally tell the young girl to walk over and help me instead of shouting across the kitchen after asking and kept telling me I was wrong. When she figured out she was incorrect she just passed it to another young lad who was ok but clearly there was some tension in the air. Wouldn’t have been so bad if the place wasn’t completely empty, despite them saying they were busy.
Ed — Google review
The food was cold by the time I’d walked back to the car park. There was no steam coming off the fries. They hadn’t just been cooked fresh. The fries were dry and very disappointing. There’s no excuse
Kelly D — Google review
Every time I've been , im given the drinks and told to park up . By the time your food arrives the milkshake has turned to water and the chips are always cold and inedible. So I've stopped using them as it seems online ordering platforms/delivery drivers take priority over drive thru customers after careful observation.

Absolutely appalling we have lived in Halesowen for 10 years and have been here for numerous years. The last five times we have been here we have been parked up and waited for 15- 30 minutes for simple meals. Came tonight and we again have been parked up and over 35 mins wait for main menu items . My partner went inside of this branch as an ex employee of this branch. They were stating up a close whilst being busy with customer we counted 20 cars parked up at 10:20pm . He had to go inside and complain before they even started our meal, absolutely useless Awful Learn from your neighbours park lane Will not be coming back

Harvester Foxhunt Halesowen is a family-friendly restaurant that offers a variety of grilled meats, salads, pasta, and seafood. It provides delicious meals that are fresh and enjoyable for all ages. The staff at Harvester Foxhunt Halesowen are welcoming and always ready to assist customers. Even without a reservation, they make room for guests in the bar section. One of their standout dishes is the mouth-watering beef brisket which is both filling and satisfying.
Didn't make a reservation so we sat at the bar but still ordered like normal. Whilst waiting for food we ate from the unlimited salad bar with plenty of options. The food was delicious and filling. For the pudding we had a kid portion of Belgian chocolate brownie which was nice and rich, better if it had a small portion of ice-cream. The brownie took a while to come out even though we asked twice. Overall delicious food and would come here again.

Breakfast at Harvester: The Best Start to the Day! The Halesowen Fox Hunt Harvester—the place where bacon sizzles, coffee flows like a life-giving elixir, and the white or brown toast is always golden. As a seasoned breakfast connoisseur, I can confidently say this place serves up morning happiness on a plate. A big plate! But let’s talk about the real reason I keep coming back: the service! The whole team here is fantastic, but there’s one star who truly shines brighter than a freshly polished teapot — Dee! Friendly, efficient, and somehow always in the right place at the right time with a tea refill, she’s the breakfast queen of Harvester. Dee is a legend, a local treasure, and — rumour has it a secret Morris dancer by night. Yes, folks, while others are binge-watching Netflix, Dee is out there at local country pubs jingling and hopping like a true English icon. And let’s not forget her astonishing collection of vintage beach balls — because who doesn’t need a hundred inflatable spheres in their life? With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I wouldn’t be surprised if a mysterious, delighted regular (cough cough) sends her a cheeky little card. After all, anyone who can juggle breakfast plates and keep a room laughing deserves a little appreciation! So, if you’re looking for top-tier service, a brilliant breakfast, and the chance to meet a Morris-dancing, beach-ball-hoarding legend, get yourself down to the Halesowen Harvester. And if you see Dee, tell her she’s amazing—but be prepared for her to blush!

We've been to Harvester 3 times recently. This is due mainly to the offers available on the app. The waitress suggested that we download it on our first visit. She also helped me set it up. The pub gets busy in waves, seemingly when the schools close or when people finish work. The staff work extremely hard, taking orders & clearing tables. Once you've ordered, you can go to the salad bar. The food is cooked fresh & is well portioned. Overall, it's excellent value, especially with offers or Blue Light membership.

Service - Can't fault it. We were served by Tanya who is lovely. Food - it was delicious like always. Atmosphere - it's had a refurb which is pleasant, but it was a little too warm. Which made it feel a little claustrophobic. But over all we enjoyed our visit. Definitely be coming again.

Our first visit in a while and we all enjoyed the food and experience. You know what you're getting with Harvester and all was good. The staff were lovely and wish I'd got the name of who served us as she was very warm, friendly and calming. Makes a difference.

Party of four, selected lunchtime menu. Salad bar excellent. Two of us selected chargrilled chicken breast - very disappointing, over-cooked and dry. Been many times before and always enjoyed a moist simply chicken breast, shame the menu is different after revamp. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful although service was slow, probably not enough staff to cover volume of lunchtime customers.

Rainbow Street, a children's amusement center situated in an old pub, retains some of its original features including a bar and stained glass windows. Although the exterior could use some improvements with a rough car park and visible items that need to be disposed of, visitors are warmly greeted by staff who provide guided tours during their first visit. The play areas are impeccably clean and filled with an assortment of toys representing various themes such as supermarkets, building sites, and cafes.
Having come here every week for a long time I can safely say this place is excellent value for money. The facilities are clean and lights work perfectly fine. Our children and my friends love the variety of toys and dressing up things. They especially liked the 'Tidy Up' songs at the end which encourage parents and children to help tidy as most role play centres and schools do, having visited many other places too. The food is delicious. And the milkshakes are soooo tasty. I totally agree with other reviews that the staff make this place what it is. They're so friendly, professional and make the experience thoroughly enjoyable.

Absolutely amazing for kids. My little boy loved every second of it, the play room is so well stocked and the cafe is very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend to anyone
Emma L — Google review
My kids absolutely loved it here. It felt safe and there was plenty to keep them entertained for an hour and half. We will return again in the winter months.
Sophie V — Google review
This was our first time and we enjoyed it. Lots of things to play with and everything is very clean. There is a cafe attached for drinks and snacks. .
Kim M — Google review
For the cost of it, this one is not very good value for money. The place is very small and the disabled toilet light is problematic. The staff are great, the snacks are OK and so is the coffee. There is another bigger one on the way to Wolverhampton which could possibly be good value for money. Given how small this place is, might be better for a small birthday party or something for smaller groups. The toys are good for what it is. Unlike other play areas, parents and kids are expected to put things back! Personally I have never had yo do this elsewhere and so unlikely I will go here again. 3 stars because of the staff and the toys in the area only.
Akshay J — Google review
Great place for toddlers, kids and adults! I went with two friends and their children (all aged 21 months) and we had a fab time playing in all the themed areas. There is a cafe, building yard, medical centre/vets, grocery store and theatre. All areas have costumes and are filled with lots of good quality toys. The grocery area was better stocked with food items than actual supermarkets! There is a drawing and reading area to keep the children entertained while parents have a break and a reasonably priced coffee (or cider!) Both my friends and I commented how clean everything was and they took all our temperatures and asked that we sanitised regularly whilst there. Toilets were also clean, large and had changing facilities and steps/seats for older children. Really great place and so affordable you could go multiple times a month. Will definitely be returning with more friends! Only negative and I’m really looking for something is there were lots of sugary sweets and chocolate bars right on the bottom of the display shelf and no obvious healthier/sugar free snacks options to choose from.
Jessica K — Google review
I assumed this was a nursery for years until searching for activities to do, my son loved it especially destroying the wall he built, and playing on the stepping piano. The staff are so kind, friendly and wonderful the atmosphere is exactly what you want. Great service from initial booking to arrival and finally leaving, very clean and tidy with great amenities. Definitely a hidden gem💎

Cloister Drive Play Area

Playground
Cloister Drive Play Area in Halesowen is a versatile spot for family fun. The area offers various activities, from sports clubs to nearby attractions like the Black Country Living Museum. With a large number of families in the area, it's easy to connect with other parents and arrange playdates. While it can get busy with younger children and sometimes teenagers, when it's quiet, the play area provides a lovely open space for families to enjoy.
It's rather hit or miss when you get here. To put it bluntly, there are a lot of younger children here who will pester you if you're on your own. And there are occasionally a few teenagers sitting on the slides and swings and stuff. (I'm one to talk!) But when it's quiet, this is a lovely place. Quite a wide open space behind the hill as well.

Indian restaurant
Chinnar Balti Tandoori Restaurant is a popular spot with consistently delicious food and friendly, attentive staff. Despite its slightly dated decor, the restaurant is clean and tidy. Customers have praised the quick delivery service and the quality of the food, including dishes like chicken kahrai and tarka dhal. The restaurant offers great value for money, with efficient service and reasonable prices. It's also noted that customers can bring their own drinks to enjoy with their meals.
Always have a lovely Meal here. The chicken tikka is probably the best in Halesowen. The service is great and the staff are really friendly. Reasonably priced too.
Jodi S — Google review
Food came smelling funny, ordered chicken tikka masala and it came very spicy. It wasn’t very nice at all. Ordered Nann and it came freezing cold although it was in tin foil. The rice also smelt very funny. Could not eat this won’t be ordering from here again.
Jade C — Google review
Been using the Chinnar for the best part of 20 years, so have all my family, I have never once had a bad meal either eating in or takeaway, everyone I have ever taken there has loved it! Owner is lovely will do anything for you so will the staff, I have been to hundreds of Indian restaurants and we still have never found anywhere that matches their sheek kebabs! The chicken tikka is the best iv had, most place its little red tint bits of chicken the chinnar do it properly! I do agree with takeaways when spending a bit we should get free popadoms, but honestly the naans, the curries, the mint sauce and deffo the sheek kebabs are some of the best iv ever had and this is not a fake review like some suggest, I honestly love it there and we go there at least 2 Thursdays a month
Terri S — Google review
Food came way too quick. Within 10mins of ordering. Food was bland & tasteless. Mint sauce watered down very bad. Korma sauce watery. And tikka puree watery. Spent over £25 & not one poppadom either. I wont be ordering again. Inedible
Kayleigh — Google review
Not the best, we found our meal was tasteless and bland. Wouldn’t recommend. However the prawn starter was nice…
Jack G — Google review
From ordering our food to it being delivered and us eating it was about half an hour. Our food was absolutely delicious and hot. It's consistently really goood! Delivery driver was as always lovely. Highly recommend it to you all!
Rachel A — Google review
Buffet night on Mondays beautiful and delicious food, friendly service would recommend 😊
Jane N — Google review
Got to be fake reviews. Terrible quality of food disgusting. Chips were stale, naan was crispy and falling apart?? Why did my tikka taste like lemon and look like water? Avoid. Oh and just found out they got 2* rating. Won’t be ordering again

The food is very tasty and the staff is very good. Will specially recommend the pizza and burgers they’re to die for well done guys keep up the good work thanks

Well, never in my life have I had bright pink “Italian pasta” I ordered chicken tetrazzini and it’s clear they used tandoori chicken instead of garlic because it dyed my food pink. Really off putting and didn’t taste all that nice either. For salad was something… all in all wouldn’t order again. Partner said delivery guy was really nice though ☺️

We ordered 40 pizzas for our wedding party yesterday. The delivery arrived on time and piping hot. The pizzas were top quality, we cannot thankyou enough for pulling off such a big order for our wedding guests !!

We have ordered from here several times and we are never disappointed. The food is always tasty and comes quickly and is always fresh and hot. They do loads of good deals which can make it a steal. I would definitely recommend. Specifically the pepperoni pizza or donner kebab box with hot chilli!

I have been to this place many times and loved the pizza every single time. Best part is they don't take a lot of time to prepare. Best in halsowen I would say!!

I always order from here late at night, normally collect, food is always ready on time or a little early which is always appreciated, the staff are super welcoming and always have a chat, always been super kind to me and sorted my food, fresh and quick, no complaints from me, I normally take away but I have sat and eaten there before both options are great, I'll continue to order from here for the forcible

--- I recently visited this establishment and, unfortunately, found the experience to be disappointing on multiple fronts. The individual preparing the food handled the burger directly with bare hands, raising serious hygiene concerns. Additionally, the dining area was poorly maintained—tables were visibly unclean and greasy, creating an uninviting environment. Seating was also inadequate, with very few chairs available despite long wait times. This made the overall visit uncomfortable and inefficient. To add to the dissatisfaction, there was an apparent attempt to short-change me at the till, which was only corrected after I raised the issue. Overall, I found the standards of cleanliness, service, and professionalism lacking, and I cannot recommend this venue based on --- I recently visited this establishment and, unfortunately, found the experience to be disappointing on multifronts. The Vine Inn Bathams

Pub
Nestled in the heart of West Bromwich, The Vine Inn Bathams is a delightful spot that perfectly blends delicious food with a warm atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite before an event or simply looking to enjoy some local flavors, this pub has you covered. Diners rave about the scrumptious starters like mushrooms and prawns, followed by mouthwatering pizzas that leave you craving more. The decor adds to its charm, while attentive staff ensure your experience is nothing short of excellent.
Bathams original pub where the beer is brewed in the adjacent brewery. I was filled with a sense of excitement as I approached the pub, the anticipation was high. Upon entering the pub I walked through the door on the right into the small bar at the front. Friendly locals discussing daily life over their pints of frothy foamy goodness. My pint was positively glowing, it glistened in the day light and was majestic it's appearance. Their bitter is classic, very malt forward with a nice sweetness from the malt sugars. A little hop bite and a touch of diacetyl. I stayed for a pint of mild and that for me was about as good as a mild could ever be. Creamy, sweet, full body and mouth feel, Moorish and effortlessly drinkable. The sense of history and importance in British brewing can be felt here. Wonderful enrichening experience that I won't forget

Superb Best Bitter (brewed next door) accompanied with a delicious pork pie - a great combination at this truly classic Black Country gem. It can get congested around the bar at lunchtime it’s such a popular place to eat and drink. So encouraging to see conversation rules here - no music and hardly a 📱 in site 👍🏻
Mark N — Google review
Absolutely classic black country pub with brewery attached. Lots of different rooms with various character(s), mild and bitter on handpull like it's 1980 again, cobs too. One of the essential visits in the black country.
Gazza P — Google review
Probably my favourite place in the world at this point. I enjoy to take the busses from Brum through the rolling Black Country hills and work up a bit of a thirst while taking in the views from the top deck. The first pint of Mild always goes down in just a few gulps. Ridiculously tasty. Make certain you grab a seat in the front room with the bar in it - you'll always find yourself amidst a good chit chat. I love the bright afternoon sunlight beaming through the windows as the sun sets. 100% pilgrimage worthy place.
Scott C — Google review
Delicious, smooth, creamy golden bitter ale. The best in the Midlands, if not the UK, in my opinion. There's something beautifully unique about Bathams you just can't put finger on. Totally moreish and goes down so easy, Nectar of the Gods, complete Heaven, or medicine as the locals call it. Combined with a pie, cob or pork scratchings a hew pints at The Vine is pure bliss. Friendly staff & atmosphere, wonderful service & great black country prices !! Been coming here for over ten years, Can't beat it !!
Kevin W — Google review
The bar is a bit clicky, and not too friendly at times if you're not a local, but the rest of the pub is like stepping into another world, and I feel comfortable in the other rooms. Strangely, the beer isn't always the best pint of Bathams around imo, which is surprising given that it is home to the actual brewery. Anyway, overall it's good enough for me to keep coming back every now and then.
Godless F — Google review
I've already submitted a glowing review but this time I simply popped in for a takeaway. A couple of ham salad rolls and a pork pie! Great traditional, simple food at good prices.

Big shout out to Evangeline who went over and above crafting my drink according to my preference. She recommended a drink that might suit my needs and served my autistic child with such a friendly manner. Keep up the great work!

Very aesthetically pleasing, drinks are so tasty!, only had a few pastry’s for food but I would love to try some sandwiches next time as the food and drinks smell so inviting! If there is a few people in there it gets very loud and hard to hear the person your with because it’s not a massive space but it’s a nice cute and cozy atmosphere. Decent service timing.

I had had a bad day today, walked in to get coffee feeling miserable, and the staff were incredible so friendly, asking about my day and picked my spirits up instantly. Nice space and plenty of seating. Drinks were okay, I've had better but not bad. Could've been a lot cleaner. All under the table was crumbs and all seats were a little dirty.
