First visit to the Bangla Lounge. Was quite busy for a Thursday night but was immediately shown to our table. Drinks and poppadoms were ordered. Poppadoms where nice and fresh and the accompanying onion and dips where very nice! I had Chicken tikka balti and shared a boiled rice. I enjoyed the balti and the others enjoyed their food and the plain nans. We was given a free brandy at the end which was a nice touch 👍🏻 The bill was around £80 so overall not a bad experience but the only thing I would mention is that one of the servers was a bit abrupt and not friendly. Now I don’t want them to hug and love me but a smile 😃 doesn’t cost anything.

I suffer from a condition called Misophonia. I struggle when there are loud people sitting near me in public places and restaurants are a major problem. Bari, the manager of Bangla lounge was totally understanding and sat us in a quiet area of the restaurant with member's of my family. The service was exceptional good as was the food. Highly recommended

By far my favourite Indian restaurant!! The food is consistently exceptional, whether we’re dining in or enjoying a takeaway. Every dish is full of flavour, beautifully prepared, and always hits the spot. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the warm and genuine hospitality. Service was quite poor - waited ages for starters and then mains where people who arrived after us were getting their food earlier. Had to chase for bill Starters was good but the main lamb balti was very bad - i assume not fresh meat as the taste was very odd. Would not recommend - there a better restaurants especially for this price point

Early Saturday evening visit, party of 4. Ordered poppadoms and drinks which all arrived sharpish. We all skipped starters and just ordered mains and sides then waiting over 45 minutes for them to turn up. I had a lamb dish, the lamb was the most tender I've ever had in an Indian restaurant with a flavoursome sauce. The garlic nan I ordered wasn't very garlicy. Staff were all very friendly.

Love the place. Love the staff. Love the food been coming almost half my life. Over 15 years and still enjoy it. Great value on week days. And one of the best chicken tika purees I've had. And I've been to a lot of places! Do recommend

Very average curry. The chefs need hairnets as I found a couple of hairs in my dish. The main reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the service was very, very slow and one of the waiters was unpleasant. I'm usually patient in restaurants but I was starting to get annoyed and had to pressure the staff to get out bill as they were taking their sweet time again and we just wanted to leave. Seems to be popular with some of the Halesowen locals but if you've got standards stay away.

We've been to Harvester 3 times recently. This is due mainly to the offers available on the app. The waitress suggested that we download it on our first visit. She also helped me set it up. The pub gets busy in waves, seemingly when the schools close or when people finish work. The staff work extremely hard, taking orders & clearing tables. Once you've ordered, you can go to the salad bar. The food is cooked fresh & is well portioned. Overall, it's excellent value, especially with offers or Blue Light membership.

We visit often but first time trying the new menu today. This is the best meal we have had here at the Harvester Halesowen. The server was lovely too- Maggie. Will be back.

Came back for a meal on a lunchtime after not being here for a long time we just happened to be passing ! Building has been refurbished and looks great it had become very tired looking previously. Atmosphere was welcoming and staff were lovely. Our server maggie was an absolute gem lovely friendly , knowledgeable and welcoming. Food was good the lunch offer is great value . Will definitely return now after such a pleasant experience and the refurbished building .

Service - Can't fault it. We were served by Tanya who is lovely. Food - it was delicious like always. Atmosphere - it's had a refurb which is pleasant, but it was a little too warm. Which made it feel a little claustrophobic. But over all we enjoyed our visit. Definitely be coming again.

Our first visit in a while and we all enjoyed the food and experience. You know what you're getting with Harvester and all was good. The staff were lovely and wish I'd got the name of who served us as she was very warm, friendly and calming. Makes a difference.

Party of four, selected lunchtime menu. Salad bar excellent. Two of us selected chargrilled chicken breast - very disappointing, over-cooked and dry. Been many times before and always enjoyed a moist simply chicken breast, shame the menu is different after revamp. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful although service was slow, probably not enough staff to cover volume of lunchtime customers.

Really poor experience today, popped in to charge the car, decided to stay for some food. Let’s start with the bar service! One member of staff serving the queue, the queue was out the door. One member of staff running between the kitchen and pouring/delivering drinks to the app orders. We went inside for food, we ordered on the app as the queue was still out the door. The food came in a reasonable time, however it had clearly been sat under the lamps for some time. The burger was overcooked, the gammon came out the same time as the burger, it certainly wasn’t sizzling, the tandoori chicken came out 10 mins later, again no sizzling and the bhaji was undercooked. The pub needs to take on more staff to cope with the demand.

A nice pub for lunch or dinner. It was quiet when we went on a Tuesday lunch time but it was very pleasant. The staff were lovely and the food was excellent as was the service. Even though the pub was not busy it had a nice feeling to it and I will definitely go back for another lunch and for dinner. (in fact next week for lunch) The pub is clean and nicely decorated and there is loads of room between tables so my wife was able to get her wheelchair in easily. Parking was easy too and right outside the door. A first rate lunchand definitely worth a revisit.

Arrived took 10mins to get served despite only two customers in front,ordered the meals,Arrived they had forgotten to cook one of the meals so had to sit watching us eat while he waited.My meal was really simple plate of chips and 16 chicken wings,ordered NOT boneless. They arrived boneless with a vile sauce over them and and what looked like a kiddies portion of chips and judging by the size of the wings must of come from chicklets.Result left half of meal.what a shambles topped off by the male toilet closed....don't think i will be rushing back,and shame as the potential is there.

Really lovely Mothers Day meal today. Service was brilliant. All the staff are really friendly and attentive. We had; 2 Sunday roasts that both come with a free cheesecake for dessert which was a great deal. The roast was really good. 1 sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection. 1 stack burger - really good! 1 kids burger which was also lovely. I also had a side of mac and Cheese which was lovely. Always have a great experience here. Thank you for a lovely Mothers Day meal.

First time here. Had a large mixed grill. Everything was cooked as I requested. Food was served hot on an unexpected platter style plate. It all tasted lovely. Very well presented. As for the staff, we were looked after by two lovely young ladies. Nothing was too much trouble, and we were made to feel like old friends. Perfect visit to a lovely pub for fantastic food. Great atmosphere. Many thanks to all the staff.

Visited today and was warmly welcomed by the staff. We ordered food and found it to be a very high standard. The staff were really helpful and Shona really made my party feel really welcome.

I enjoyed my Sunday roast; the beef was cooked properly and tasted good. I do not eat much, but it felt like the food was not a lot for the price; I could have eaten a second and finished it. Next time, I think I will go with a set menu comes with a starters and desserts. The service was good thank you Amanda.

A lovely Sunday lunch of which the portions were a good size well cooked and the wait was a short time although the place was busy. A friendly welcome from Claire and her team and we estimated that Amanda walks about 11 miles on a Sunday.A big plus is there are no dogs in the place.

Can order via app or at the bar is good as read app orders only on other reviews. App somewhat confusing for ordering several people's food on set menu offerings. Named different in app and menu.

We are regular attenders on Tuesday nights for food, drinks and the quiz. Plenty of choice on the menu and food is reasonably priced. The staff are especially welcoming and friendly especially Holly, Amanda and Paige. Would recommend a visit.

Decent prices on pints with a few popular ales available on draught every time I've been in. Plenty of space to sit inside and though it's quite busy most of the time I've been in there's always space outside too with quite a lot of picnic tables out front and out back! Staff are always lovely :)

Lovely pub in heart of Halesowen. If you like a traditional pub that is also modern then you won't be disappointed. The pub always has a relaxing, chilled atmosphere that makes it perfect for a get together be that with friend or family, colleagues or just yourself. As an Ember Inn you will get fair pricing and well maintained draughts. Thete is a lot or parking around the pub going from the one side all the way around to pub"s bowling Green at the back. But it fills quick which is the only negative I can think of.

It's been a very long time since we last ate here and unsurprisingly it has had a substantial face-lift. They have done a good job but they can't do anything about the layout which is quite 'cosy'. This could be an issue if you are looking for a quiet night out and the table next to you is in party mode. We enjoyed our meal and I particularly liked their home style of cooking. Judging by the amount of people there I am not the only one. Surprisingly there was a slight problem with the poppadoms but this was quickly and courteously sorted. The oversized sheekh kebab starter was a bit on the hot side for the wife but I enjoyed it. There were no issues with the mains or sides, especially the pilau rice which was mercifully free of food colouring. Service was pleasant and attentive throughout, surprisingly so given how busy it was. It's not cheap, prices have gone up everywhere but you can take your own alcohol which is obviously a bonus. Parking was a bit of a problem but eventually managed to squeeze in on a service road. We won't leave it so long before our next visit.

Pretty disappointing. We were rushed throughout - we hadn't finished poppadoms when mains were forced on the table when there wasn't space, about 10 mins after we got our poppadoms and ordered mains. My Chicken Manchurian was pretty flavourless, other mains at the table were better. The menu boasts of being healthier than normal - I'd rather have a healthier meal at home, if I go out for a meal I want flavour. Garlic rice and naan just tasted excessively and astringently of raw garlic, maybe that's intended, but I've never had them like that before. I like garlic but that was too much.

Service was perfect made us all feel welcomed, food was great and tasted delicious I can easily recommend this place to others. Have been here a few times now and I will be back soon.

Came here for the first time in 20yrs tonight - moved to NZ 16yrs ago and was dying for a decent curry, and Balti Towers did not disappoint!! Used to be my fav place when I was a local, when B.T. was just a small place and the owner used to sit and chat with us for hours - and he remembered me as the Blonde who was going to be a Dr all those years ago! What a guy!! Great to catch up, thanks for the hugs - gonna order your stuff on Amazon now it's available kiwi-side and show them what they're missing 😁

myself and my wife visited balti towers for the 1st time on the 16th august, it certainly WILL NOT be the last, the food was amazing, very good size portions, the staff are very friendly and attentive, keep up the good work guys, and definetly see you soon...

Great service, had table for 20 people tonight and service was amazing no hassle. Waitress Laura was excellent. Food was excellent and hot, was all served at same time. Highly recommended

The pub offered the usual pub grub from a mainly similar menu on offer these days. Traditional meals, burgers & steaks. Prices are very reasonable compared to the bistro places. You can download the app & get offers sent to you. Service was efficient from going to the bar to place your order. The staff were very friendly & engaging. Desserts were large & very good value for money. There is a good selection of beers & the bar staff were quick to serve people.

We were seated on table 3 which was tucked away in the corner and initially thought this was a nice spot. However, after a few minutes the amount of flies around the table was disgusting. We asked if it was possible to move tables and were told it was fully booked so we were unable to move, which whilst I understand that it is busy it’s not a nice experience to try and eat a meal with all the flies around. I spent most of my meal swatting flies away from my food and when they started landing on my food I had to stop eating. A very disappointing meal.

Visited 2May 2025] for lunch and was very disappointed. We had to move tables due to flies buzzing around, which was off-putting. The wait for food was excessively long. My gammon and eggs were awful—chips were cold, and the egg was burnt and overdone. My wife’s burger was dry, overcooked, and topped with what tasted like processed cheese. Unfortunately, the flies returned, making the meal even less enjoyable. The overall experience was poor, and we won’t be returning. I suggest better pest control and improved food quality checks to avoid these issues.

Came here for a meal with the other half last Sunday. The food was brilliant and even the kids ate it all. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was brilliant too. Food and drinks were sensibly priced. We will definitely come again thank you.

I recently dined here and found the experience to be a mix of positives and negatives. The steak was unfortunately quite chewy and contained more fat than expected, which made it less enjoyable. However, the accompanying chips and mushrooms were very well prepared and added a nice balance to the meal. To finish, the chocolate brownie was a highlight — rich, well-presented, and thoroughly enjoyable.

Really nice little pub serving really good food. The service was really good and very quick, staff were friendly and polite, tables were cleared as soon as people left and seating clearly marked. Just wante to share my experience at this amazing pub. The staff (in particular Chloe, Grace, Matt, Imogen and Rhona) were very welcoming and polite. They are always smiling. It's a breathe of fresh air as apposed to other pubs I've been to. I would absolutely recommend this friendly pub (dog friendly too) and will be coming back again

Very nice place to eat, first time here, most staff very friendly and welcoming, food was beautiful. Only giving it a 4* as it’s slightly more expensive than others I’ve been to in the area and isn’t significantly better. I would’ve gave it 4 and a half if it were possible. That garlic yoghurt dip or whatever it was with the papadums was a must try. Will be returning :)

Ordered delivery came within the allocated time frame which was great and the food was amazing as usual but the driver called us and told us we had to come meet him at the door as he is not allowed in the building (we live on the 2nd floor of a small block of flats) apparently his manager told him he wasn’t allowed to enter the building but any other time we’ve had food deliveries they have come straight upstairs to our front door, when I called the restaurant to ask if this was true the manager told me that because 1 of my neighbours has a dog (that is in the flat and cannot get out on his own) they aren’t allowed to enter the building. What a load of rubbish 😡

We have had takeaways from Vakas and they have been nice, but not as good as some other local places we have tried. We also went into the restaurant a few weeks ago and were told there were no high chairs available so we couldn't eat in there with our 11 month old. This was very disappointing as we had checked online before visiting they were child friendly but this isn't the case.

Food is very good. Service is pretty good but I think it is a bit of a piss take when they put a gratitude charge on your bill. I won’t ask if you have to pay it they say yes I really think they need to think this through as it’s not a five star restaurant and it should be optional if you want to leave a tip.

Haven’t visited this restaurant for many years and thought we’d give it a try Service was excellent and extremely quick from ordering to getting the food After reading other reviews we tried the Sheesh Kebab and they were extremely nice and worth trying I had a Vakas balti special, Chicken Lamb prawns and king prawn A couple of pieces of chicken and lamb were a little tough, curry had a nice taste , garlic nan bread was good and chips were nice, portion sizes are good Staff are really friendly , decor is tasteful Would recommend and it’s bring your own drinks

To be honest the food was good- but I think there prices are a little out of touch -EG -charging £4.00 for a bowl of dips for pompudums / starters is outrageous - just trying to make extra cash from the working man’s pocket and be careful because they put there own service charge on the bill - come on do you think that your something special !! It’s Colley gate nit the west end .

The staff friendly and the food decent, but beware service charge added and they don't give you your change back.so over £11.5O TIP and prices are not the cheapest. Won't be back.

The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and every dish was full of flavour and served fresh. Our whole group thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

I really did not enjoy my experience here on this occasion. The food was not up to the usual standard. We dud complain and the bill was adjusted accordingly. The duck was over cooked, and I appreciate korma is sweet but this was tooth rotting level. The keema naan had a tablespoon of meat in it and all at one end. It wasnt the only curry over-sweetened, they all were! We only complained regarding two of the five curries and about 1 naan even though, one of the other naans was not what was ordered. It's a shame, because this was a birthday meal, which was tainted by the evenings poor cooking.

This place is poorly lighted The food was bland and the king prawns were under cooked Chips were hard. Under cooked Rice and naan bread were perfect Nice pleasent staff but unfortunately we won't be visiting there again.

overall the food was not very nice it came out cold, i ordered the chicken Balti little did i know i found a hair in my food my wife on the other hand ordered a chicken korma which came out extra creamy after she said no coconut milk but overall would recommend

Food alone doesn't make a restaurant; the welcome and service goes a long way too. Hilal and the team at the Ameena were charming. Advising us on veggie options and taking seriously our nut allergy dining options. The paneer was sublime in our balti and the stuffed pepper and onion bhaji starters were delicious. Our new local - where we were welcomed like old friends.

I try to only go once a month. It's waaay too good. Update: I took one of my best pals there yesterday in the hope of getting him to move to Halesowen. The Ameena team put forward a good argument! Thanks chaps! Take away is great as well. It's a very popular place. BE SURE TO BOOK even on a weekday night. I've not seen them on any delivery apps. They do deliver for free. I would be gutted if there was no Ameena. Top notch. Waaay too good for the likes of me!

Best curry house! Traveled up from Brighton and always come here. Such a nice family run business the people are always so friendly. Can’t talk highly enough.

Mid week, early evening and the restaurant is packed, usually a good sign. Staff were helpful and considering how busy it was there wasn't too long between courses. Had a fish starter, which although plentiful the fish seemed like it had been frozen and was watery and bland to taste. Then had the lamb tikka sagwella - the onions didn't seem to have been cooked down enough and the meat was tough. Other members of my table really enjoyed their food so l might have not chosen well. Personally, from my own experience, the food wasn't the best.

Everything about The Ameena is perfect. The staff are incredibly welcoming and always have a laugh with customers whilst also being professional. The food is always to a very high standard and the portions are more than enough, I always have enough to take home. I visited for my birthday yesterday and the staff sung happy birthday but also gave a massive bottle of beer which was really nice of them. I will always recommend The Ameena.

Our go to! Staff always friendly, can't do enough for you. Also many members of staff have great knowledge of the food, will make recommendations on what you like etc. For us it's the chicken tikka Towa and chilli chicken tikka Towa. Happy to also make smaller portions are more than enough. Very busy which speaks volumes so always book ahead. They run like a well oiled machine! Thank you for a beautiful meal once again

Its an ok place. Very expensive I found. The food was decent but not mind blowing. The service was so good, the staff are all very friendly. And the place as a whole is nice and clean but has annoying music playing.

Excellent in every way. All the young ladies on the bar were delightful. Friendly and polite. Servers were lovely too. We had the lite bites £6.95 each. Bargain and absolutely delicious. I had the gammon, egg and chips, partner had the haddock goujons with salad. Cooked perfectly and obviously freshly done to order. Others had jerk chicken salad and a lasagne. No complaints at all, not even a quibble about anything. Pub itself comfortable, nice atmosphere and nicely decorated for Halloween. A large group of us dined here last night, and it was absolutely amazing! All 13 of us give full marks — not just for the delicious food, but also for the outstanding service. Every dish was a hit, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. We can’t wait to come back and try even more of the incredible menu!

Very busy pub, I would recommend always prebooking. Meals are fantastic. The pub itself is quite loud - not from music though- just the amount of people and atmosphere. The staff are lovely. Friday and Saturday evenings are obviously the busiest/loudest and can be a longer wait for food but that's to be expected. Prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes meals. We have never had a bad meal here.

Stopped for lunch with mates, I ordered the burger and friends had pies. All very nice indeed and better value than most places. The bar staff were fun and friendly, made us smile.

Just had a superb roast at the Loyal Lodge. The food was outdtanding and service was excellent, making you feel like nothing was too much trouble even when we asked to change tables. The mash, roast spuds and baby carrots were the highlights for me.....and obviously the meats. Sadly no room for pud. Lovely place, nice atmosphere with good beer.

Every now and again, it's nice to have a spoons breakfast. Simple and good value. Never 5 star but not 3 star either! Only minor thing is the coffee isn't the greatest but does the job. The service has always been good too and there's always a warm welcome.

Standard spoons with cheap drinks. One of us had food and he said the wrap was lovely. Service was very quick and cheerful.

Nice pub. Staff are very friendly. They work long hours but are always happy with smiles on there faces. Pub is always clean and staff are always on the go. The food could be better but overall it's a bostin boozer. Keep up the great work guys

Saving grace was helpful staff and a refund, letdown was two atrocious servings of mauled steak! £14 for "gourmet" steak & drink, first was anaemic, raw and mostly gristle, also unannounced flavour coating! Sent back to the kitchen, second steak also came out raw and it looked repulsive, and no sauce. My partner ordered the pie main, and was disappointed to discover it was kiddy sized also half inedible, gravy boat bigger than pie. but he ate what he could, because he's a bloke ... Won't be back for food in a hurry!

Ein Skein beer flat but Abbot Ale great. Had a pizza which was tasty but small for the money. Staff fantastic especially Tash.

Unbeatable value for money- jacket potato with roasted vegetables, fresh salad and a craft beer for a few pennies over a fiver. Went again for breakfast this morning and served by the pleasant Nicole. Good breakfast and service. Returned later for a swift half of Enville Ginger

So just collected my online order, got home and missing an item !! I had the Fishcake special but should also come with 1 fish goujon sadly it didnt, tried to phone but no one oicking up and saying voice message is full. Has this buisness changed hands or just covering whilst owners away for xmas 🤔 Food was still good but not getting what you pay for is why you didnt get a 5 star rating.

First time visit here. I found the place itself of a good quality. Food here was nice. I had cod, chips, fish bites and the burger. All were to a good standard and I went not long before closing which sometimes can be the worst. Staff were friendly and card payments are taken with a 30p charge

I wouldn't eat here again as the last two visits the chips were quite greasy and the batter wasn't sticking to the chips. Quite disappointing really as our first visit here the chips were very delicious. So my review has dropped from 5 stars down to 2 stars.

This place used to be great but it gone down the drain, smaller fish portions even though we had large, soggy batter not cooked though properly. £21 for two large fish and a small chips. High prices for bad food . Won't be going there again.

Just ordered a donor kebab , it was possible the worst kebab I’ve ever had , the kebab meat was cold and hard , 90% went in the bin , this place isn’t what it used to be

The lamb Madras I had from here last night was the finest curry I have had for years. Not that I ever have a bad meal from here, but felt compelled to single out last night's offering Absolutely superb. Edit 24-02-2023 Normally have our takeaways from Blue Spice but went for a sit down last night. Really nice restaurant, plenty of room, nice atmosphere, staff helpful and friendly. Ordered to collect and food was ready on time, boiling and very tasty. One of the better chicken pathia and chicken tikka masala’s we’ve had. Felt like Blue Spice had maybe fallen off a little bit in recent times, but on this evidence it is one of the best curry houses in the area.

We were staying in the travelodge down the Rd, fancied an Indian, checked reviews on Google and so glad we went here. Phoned ahead to check they had a table, they did! Blue Spice is definitely my "go-to" in Halesowen. I reccomend it to everyone and even my family members have requested for us to bring them a Blue Spice when we go round for dinner! Our usual order is the garlic chilli chicken balti, garlic chilli king prawn balti, spicy chips and garlic naan. Great quality food. The staff are super attentive and friendly when eating in and always put a smile on our face! Please visit!

You know when you find your favourite curry restaurant and do not expect it to get better, well that was this place, totally surprised, reading the book from the cover I expected something different. I even went for a second go before rating it incase it was a fluke lol. I pick lemon rice with a normal lamb pathia as I like sweet tasting curries, this occasion I asked for additional garlic, it arrived with fresh sliced roasted on top. I am a mixer-upper so excuse it looking like it does as normally it’s a dark red curry.

The staff were all really friendly and helpful, the food came out pretty quickly and was brilliant quality. Probably the nicest pizza I’ve had in a pub. Thanks to Claire and Laura for the food and the rest of the staff, you were all lovely. Will definitely be coming back for a meal again.

Me and a couple of friends came here yesterday. We hadn’t been for a while as the standards slipped but we decided to try again and we’re so glad we did!! The staff serving were so welcoming and helpful, the food was served quickly and presented beautifully. I had a hunters chicken and others had fish & chips and surf & turf. We all had cleaned plates and enjoyed chocolate fudge cake for dessert which was incredible! We will most definitely be back (and very often too!) well done to everyone for all the improvements made, it’s so refreshing to have our warm, friendly local back. See you soon guys!

the food here is really good, always comes out quickly and the service is always very good. The people that work there are friendly and they cater to all ages. The pool table being in a different room is cool as well, the lounge is lovely, the bar is chilled and lovely people in there but it isn’t very modern. overall though a great place to eat and the staff always go above & beyond. my family love it here

The Fairfield is one of the only local dog friendly watering holes and that bodes highly for someone who's poochy likes to come everywhere with them :) Katie has been awesome from day one and it's nice to have a barmaid with a personality that you can actually have a convo with, and there's also Mel who's always front and center with a smile... All in all this place is pretty awesome.. you have pool and food and greet drinks 💪🏻 what more could you ask for 😎

We had a fantastic time at this pub – it's genuinely family friendly, which makes such a difference when you're looking for a relaxed place to enjoy a meal. The food was absolutely lovely, with generous portions and great flavour. You can tell a lot of care goes into the menu. First visit to this pub with my friend on a Wednesday lunchtime and we were not disappointed. Food good value for money. Lots of options including smaller plates and vegetarian. Plenty of parking spaces, very pleasant bar staff & a nice experience all round.

New review for the pub and restaurant. Tried the place out again on 30th June, friendly service, nice cold drinks and delish food. Had surf and turf - steak cooked as I'd asked to to be, chips were crispy outside and fluffy inside. Also ordered chicken salad - loads in the plate and was fresh, young one had crispy chicken and he loved it, plus he had brownie and ice cream. All best to the new owner with the venture, keep the food going as good as it is 😀 Will try the carvery soon, disappointed in the past with last couple of owners, veg was soggy.

We always get served quickly in here, and the food is always hot which is rare for a McDonald’s. It is also very clean and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. My son always enjoys chatting to the staff and doing any colouring or activity they have in.

Food was good I had chicken nuggets were awesome crisps and nice fries were already salted I wish they weren't but the coke was ok. Service waited 10 minutes not bad but not great. Needs a little bit more cleaning.

Staff were shockingly rude when I asked for help with my app order. All stood in a huddle even after making eye contact with me. Had to literally tell the young girl to walk over and help me instead of shouting across the kitchen after asking and kept telling me I was wrong. When she figured out she was incorrect she just passed it to another young lad who was ok but clearly there was some tension in the air. Wouldn’t have been so bad if the place wasn’t completely empty, despite them saying they were busy.

The food was cold by the time I’d walked back to the car park. There was no steam coming off the fries. They hadn’t just been cooked fresh. The fries were dry and very disappointing. There’s no excuse

Every time I've been , im given the drinks and told to park up . By the time your food arrives the milkshake has turned to water and the chips are always cold and inedible. So I've stopped using them as it seems online ordering platforms/delivery drivers take priority over drive thru customers after careful observation.

Absolutely appalling we have lived in Halesowen for 10 years and have been here for numerous years. The last five times we have been here we have been parked up and waited for 15- 30 minutes for simple meals. Came tonight and we again have been parked up and over 35 mins wait for main menu items . My partner went inside of this branch as an ex employee of this branch. They were stating up a close whilst being busy with customer we counted 20 cars parked up at 10:20pm . He had to go inside and complain before they even started our meal, absolutely useless Awful Learn from your neighbours park lane Will not be coming back

Reasonable value, good quality food with excellent service. Kam is absolutely on it and is a really good quality member of staff for sure. Front of house is Sadia and she is really good too. Worth a visit the food was tasty and spicy enough as I requested. I had chicken tikka jalfrezi, and next time I had the chicken Biriyani which was very good too and the accompanying naan was fresh nicely cooked and hot to the touch. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Absolutely worth a visit

First time I have ordered from here after reading many positive reviews. Unfortunately my review is negative but brutally honest. The food was delivered hot and the gentleman taking my order was polite and informative. The food, however, was was below average. I ordered a veg balti. It is clear this restaurant uses frozen mixed veg, not fresh as per the the reviews I read. The chips were undercooked soggy fries. Very disappointing and does not live to the 3.9 rating. I hope you accept my review as constructive.

Ordered a takeaway at 7.30 they told us it would be an hour for two curry’s. At 8.45 we rang to chase they told us it would be with us in 10 minutes. It arrived at 9.00. The food was nice tasting but not very warm.

Ordered on Uber Eats… delivery arrived over half an hour later than the estimated delivery time with no revised time from restaurant. Fish arrived with batter pale and uncooked. Fish looked questionable itself. Thank god I could eat the chips. Order was delivered by restaurant staff who didn’t apologise for the delay and couldn’t get away quick enough. First time I've been to this chippy. I popped into here on a Saturday afternoon after my wife and I had been up the Clent and we just googled "nearest chip shop". When I entered the shop there was nothing in the the range, but the young lady behind the counter informed me that everything was cooked from fresh in the day. I had a mini haddock and chips special and my wife had the sausage and chips special. Both were well cooked and delicious. Will definitely be coming here again when we're out this way.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Very undercooked chicken in both the tikka wrap, and the mixed meat and chips. Had to throw pretty much the entire order in the bin.

The food is alright but its not quick. Even though there's a lot of staff, who are friendly and busy the service is slow and standing outside for an hour isn't fun. They just seem to be busy all the time with orders coming from everywhere.

Attended reception after a funeral nearby and was really impressed with this pub. We call to arrange an event and staff member reassured us there were three areas for dining and outside if the weather was good. Because we weren’t sure of numbers we turned up and easily found an area even though the pub was busier than expected and as the weather was beautiful we hovered inside and outside. I had a veggie burger which was highly recommended by other guests and it was made from cauliflower and very tasty as were the fries. Those that ordered fish & chips were very impressed with the portion sizes and quality of the fish. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful and the prices were reasonable. The loos were clean and the atmosphere really nice. Unfortunately I was enjoying myself so much I didn’t take photos but this is a great venue for receptions after funerals at Quinton Cemetry.

Went here on a Saturday lunch time for some food, the lady on the bar was incredibly friendly and hard working, unfortunately I never caught her name but she made everyone feel welcome. The drinks were good and a decent price which is always nice. The food was nice too, I had the hunters chicken which was well prepared and once again the lady on the bar wasted no time making sure I had everything I needed. (It was quiet as it was a Saturday at 12 so I can’t comment on the atmosphere too much but everyone seemed at ease and happy)

Visited this little gem of a pub a few times and really enjoyed it. The food is amazing. it took a while but the wait was worth it. Really well cooked and well presented. The skinned chips are perhaps the best I have ever had. Absolutely scrumcious. The pub is more traditional and I appreciated this gentler, more old school vibe. The clientele is good natured and I felt safe always. The staff are very down to earth and eager to ensure a pleasant visit so well done. There is ample free parking beside the pub with no requirement to enter car registration at the bar which is a godsend. There is also endless street parking if busy. I did take a star away due to realising the beer glass had marks on theinside so wasnt well cleaned but this may be a one off. Just be mindful. I aim to continue frequenting the pub as I liked the food a lot.

Recently Visited after moving to the area, food was very well presented and came out quickly, staff were very friendly and helped me navigate the menu as one of my family members is Gluten Intolerant, very clean dining room area, there is a bar area but I didnt go in to it. Reservations are probably recommended in peak times especially for bigger parties

Been visiting this pub for a couple of years. Food is always excellent but unfortunately they've stopped having real ale and for that reason alone we won't be going back.

Had hunters chicken. The chicken was rock hard. Never had such an overcooked piece of chicken in my life and it was tiny. Chips were nice.

A lovely black country ales pub situated not too far from me- a local for a friend of mine, and after visiting a couple of months ago I can understand why! Great selection of real ales available, a buzzing atmosphere with friendly locals and nice chatty staff. I have a soft spot for a good beer garden and this pub has the best that I've been to all summer, three layers out back with picnic tables in the shade and in the sun, and a groovy little alcove with a TV and vintage sticker/poster decorations as well as a large sofa, looked beautiful! I'll definitely be coming up again as soon as the opportunity presents itself.

Great pub! Good selection of beers, great cobs, fairly priced, clean! The rear garden is lovely consisting of tvs and plenty greenery. The effort put it from the guys behind the scenes goes unnoticed. Friendly , welcoming atmosphere. Keep up the good work.

A brilliant well run Black Country Ales Pub. This is a great example of how the smaller pub should be ran. It has a choice of cobs, pies as well as crisps. Cobs are excellent well filled of cheese and onion, ham salad cheese and ham as well as cheese salad sauces ae available too. Coffee is available. There are always a great choice of Ales available and you can expect upto 11 Ales on tap. Including at least 3 Black Country Ales and upto 9 guest ales. There are usually 5 Ciders on tap too ranging from 4% to in excess of 7.5%. Guinness and Lagers as well as your usual spirits etc available. Air con inside and a large garden out the back. With a separate smoking area. Darts board as well as Sky Sports showing. Plenty of places to sit. Super friendly staff as well as locals. Rich is very happy to bring your drinks over once ordered and they have settled a really great touch and a top bloke too. An absolutely brilliant place to visit everything a great local pub should be. Come and visit for yourself and enjoy everything it has to offer.

Have been here a few times without a problem. However today we waited over 30 minutes for two breakfast. In that time they brought food to people who ordered after us and seemed to prioritise take away orders. We were offered extra coffee to make up for the wait, however this doesn’t make up for the bad service. Food when it arrived was lovely. I work in Halesowen, with service like today it isn’t somewhere I could come at lunch time.

Went here to compare it against the nearby wetherspoons, well I have to say it beats Spoons by a mile. Food was of good quality and very tasty. Price wise its on a par with Spoons but the better quality food makes it a far better choice. You can swop and change items to make up what you want but it seems like everyone is catered for from the off. Massive selection of food available. You'll be impressed.

Was in real need of a fry up as it's been a while, daughter mentioned the grill so we popped in for food, service was great and staff so welcoming, we ordered and got 10% discount for some reason, food is reasonably priced anyway so bargain. Food arrived reasonably quick, the food was piping hot and lovely, just what I needed, great tasting food at good prices and lovely staff, we will return. They also do Turkish food for those that want it.

The Grill is amazing!! 👍 First time we was to have our lunch and was fantastic, nice meniu and you have a variety of what food you can order. Breakfast, lunch, grill, English and Turkish food. And the staff is very friendly, always asking if we need something more or if everything it's ok. We was second time on my husband birthday and it was great, we left very happy!! Food came smelling funny, ordered chicken tikka masala and it came very spicy. It wasn’t very nice at all. Ordered Nann and it came freezing cold although it was in tin foil. The rice also smelt very funny. Could not eat this won’t be ordering from here again.

Been using the Chinnar for the best part of 20 years, so have all my family, I have never once had a bad meal either eating in or takeaway, everyone I have ever taken there has loved it! Owner is lovely will do anything for you so will the staff, I have been to hundreds of Indian restaurants and we still have never found anywhere that matches their sheek kebabs! The chicken tikka is the best iv had, most place its little red tint bits of chicken the chinnar do it properly! I do agree with takeaways when spending a bit we should get free popadoms, but honestly the naans, the curries, the mint sauce and deffo the sheek kebabs are some of the best iv ever had and this is not a fake review like some suggest, I honestly love it there and we go there at least 2 Thursdays a month

Food came way too quick. Within 10mins of ordering. Food was bland & tasteless. Mint sauce watered down very bad. Korma sauce watery. And tikka puree watery. Spent over £25 & not one poppadom either. I wont be ordering again. Inedible

From ordering our food to it being delivered and us eating it was about half an hour. Our food was absolutely delicious and hot. It's consistently really goood! Delivery driver was as always lovely. Highly recommend it to you all!

Great beers nice pub

A real proper local what more can you ask for. Had a pint of real ale and it was spot on, well kept and bang on temp. Good selection of other drinks. Staff were lovely and warm, smiling and the building has a real old school look and feel, we need more of these pubs and save those that are left. A true gem and a pillar of its community.

Love this pub! Reasonable prices, great atmosphere and a good array of beers, ciders and spirits. Staff are friendly and service is fast, even on a weekend. Pool table and dart board are great as well. Decent amount of space too, cosy without being cramped. Lounge area and bar area both equally nice.

They sell Madri. But expensive compared to other pubs in the area. I did not get a real friendly atmosphere from the place. Maybe its a local pub, and strangers are not that important. The bar was busy with locals so maybe that's it.

Jayne Davis - my word what world do you live in...The Vine is the most friendliest pub in the area. The land lady and her staff are more than happy to accommodate any none regulars because that’s how they grow the business. But we do have laws in Great Britain to be adhered to there are however no laws about a dog stopping until closing time. Shame on you for not looking at the bigger picture Sarah’s worked very hard to make it the valued place it is

It has been a long time since I first visited when it first opened. BUT I did not know how how well it has grown . lovely atmosphere. Brilliant staff. REALLY GOOD BEER. I modern pub with an old fashioned feel where anyone will help each other. Looks like an new local for me.

Cool caft pub with some unique drinks. Not too expensive and good selection. The only problem is its a tad small.

A nice pub to go to for a drink or two. Lots of people in there most the time, sadly restricting the amount of tables. Luckily , the pub has been extended as the shop next door was bought out. Nice owners and bartenders. It can be very predictable as to who will be in there so sometimes you can’t go in if someone you don’t like is in there as half the town is.

Disgusting to be honest. Horrible chips frozen cold and stuck to the wrapper probably been there for hours. My meat was burned and found a hair in the food which made us throw the food away. Money in the bin. Won’t be returning.

£10.70 for this, i also had a large curry sauce. The ends of the fish were crispy the rest of the batter was soggy. I only had a 2 min journey to my house so it wasn't wrapped up for long. Will never go again, ridiculously over priced.

Service is good but the chips and kebab were dripping in oil. This has happened a few times now but this time the oil even leaked out of the bag and onto my car seat. Time to find a new chippy!

I had a fish and chips for the first time here, I must say it was one of the best fish I have eaten! The battery was lovely and crispy( not soggy!) And the size was quite decent. The chips were nice. I would definitely go back when in the area!

We had lunch for 6 people from Kent Fish Bar today, and I can honestly say it was the best cod and chips I have had for a very long time! The pieces of cod were absolutely beautiful, all cooked freshly to perfection, with tasty crisp batter. The chips were excellent too. Keep up the good good work chaps! Highly recommend.

I came here on a Wednesday night with my service users, we was greeted at the door by a lovely gentleman who showed us to our seats. He handed us menus gave us time to choose what we wanted and when asking for separate bills he was very patient and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely amazing very tasty was enjoyed by us all. Will definitely be coming back again thank you

Via Deliveroo I ordered a butter chicken, peshawari naan and poppadoms. The butter chicken was spicy, and not creamy. The naan was dry, just drizzled in oil. One of three poppadoms tasted of oil and was coloured like it. I rang the restaurant and they said I ordered a “murgh makhani” which is a “similar dish”. So either it’s different to a butter chicken and they’re advertising the wrong dish on Deliveroo, or it’s the same and the dish was terrible & not how you make a butter chicken. Stay away, wouldn’t recommend.

My first time visit here, I am not sure why it took so long. A typical 6.30pm booking on a Friday night but unfortunately it was very quiet. I say quiet in respect of there being only two other tables occupied however they were loud and I like to talk to the wife without raising my voice. The service was functional, not overly friendly and his knowledge of the menu wasn't great. The wife remarked that the poppadoms were very crispy, the chutney tray was pleasant but an additional hot option would have been nice. The sheekh kebabs were OK but still pink on the inside, some may not mind this but I prefer my meat warmed through, and the wife decided to pass. There was also a bit of a melted cheese on top which was a surprise, I'm not sure if this was a good idea. There was a long wait until the mains arrived. They and the sides were piping hot. I tried a clay pot on the waiter's suggestion. It was fine but I wouldn't have it again as I prefer a more fuller flavoured curry. The wife had a balti which was on the hot side for her and slightly watery although it still had a more flavoursome taste than mine. The sides were very good but the nan bread was possibly the smallest I've had. Not a great drinks choice, and the wife's prosecco was off and it was courteously replaced. I though the bill was very good for what we had.

Amazing food, chicken madras, egg fried rice and naan bread were all perfect.

First visit to the restaurant. A very enjoyable meal, railway lamb was delicious, rice fragrant, a nice menu for this area and a very friendly and knowledgeable chef. We will return.

I've lived in Halesowen most of my life and never been until last week. Having been told many times by family and friends to visit I never did till now. I can only say that this is the tastiest, most fabulous food I've had the pleasure of eating. The fact that the staff were so accommodating only added to the experience and I will most definitely be going back. Don't make my mistake. Go now

Just bin in 2 get mix meat and chips . They tried 2 put the chicken meat in the microwave unbelievable this used 2 be a very good chippy when everything was fresh well not no more deffo wot be going there again . Shocking how it can go from being such a good chip shop 2 doing things like that . Better of going bigjohns

Imagine ordering the Peri Peri Pizza and receiving a pizza with no base and plain chicken on it. Ordered this pizza from here before and this wasn’t the same. When I rang to say the pizza must be wrong, they tried to explain how their peri peri chicken is white and that they did put peri peri sauce on it. Not sure if it’s just me who’s confused by this, but pictures are attached to show why I’m so confused by it. Customer service and pizza were awful. I would avoid this place at all costs

I always order food from here and never had any problems till tonight, I ordered online and didn't have the option for chips because normally they bring them as a meal anyway. When my food came we had extra cans of pop and no chips so I rang up the restaurant and told them, they then only brought 1 box of fries for 2 meals and took the extra cans of pop. Really disappointed.

My mate Luke Dale came in and ordered two peri peri fries. They said his trim was washed and pelted him with meatballs, mayo and cheese. Luke was insulted multiple times and the man at the till said he looked like a malnourished charity shop sue, food was bangin tho.

This place is disgusting! Ordered food and then looked around and seen the mess on the floor that’s not been cleaned for months. Guy in back blowing his nose and not washing hands before handling food. Threw the food in the bin and went elsewhere without even touching it.

Perri perri chicken ok dont they know what it. Previous owners were excellent. I think they just boil it and call it perri perri wouldnt go there again what a waste of money.

Placed order and given the food but when I got home it wasn't what I had ordered so I returned to be told I had been given the wrong order! When I actually got home and ate it - I wished I hadn't bothered! I have never tasted anything so bland - this was supposed to be Thai Chicken Choi Mein but it was tasteless and the chicken was dry. I also had some slimey lettuce in my meal and the mushrooms were also slimey. It was a busy night but that shouldn't excuse such poor food and service. Definitely won't be returning.

Have been very loyal to this takeaway for over 10 years. The food was excellent in the past. Today the food was of the lowest stand I have experienced in. Chinese takeaway locally. The chicken was very hard and seemed re cooked. The spring roles felt over fried. In short since changing hands, the new chef has a lot to be desired. Sadly will have to find another Chinese takeaway. I strongly do not recommend the quality of food I had today for anyone.

Good choice of ales and Gins with the feel of a country pub. IT IS CASH ONLY I found it astounding that In the world we live in today that this place is CASH ONLY. Has a good choice of cobs/babs at the bar and does a Sunday lunch 2 course deal for 9.50. NO SWEARING. Great indoor decor and Covid precautions too. There is outside seating and friendly staff. Worth a visit just bring CASH.

What I would describe as a total discriminative pub. My dad and I went in for an afternoon drink where we were met with utter rudeness! We was met with the sheer unprofessionalism of staff that had no understanding of orders from there ‘manager’! We were given plastic cups for our beers when everybody else was served beers in glass, to which was explained that this was because they were ‘regulars’. We sat next to 8 different people, all with glasses, who said they had never been to this establishment! Totally let down and truly disappointed with the whole experience.

Very aesthetically pleasing, drinks are so tasty!, only had a few pastry’s for food but I would love to try some sandwiches next time as the food and drinks smell so inviting! If there is a few people in there it gets very loud and hard to hear the person your with because it’s not a massive space but it’s a nice cute and cozy atmosphere. Decent service timing.

I had had a bad day today, walked in to get coffee feeling miserable, and the staff were incredible so friendly, asking about my day and picked my spirits up instantly. Customer service lacks at many places, but these guys deserve a real mention!!! So warm and friendly. Thanks!!!! Not sure of names but 2 lads and lady on afternoon shift 2pm

Nice space and plenty of seating. Drinks were okay, I've had better but not bad. Could've been a lot cleaner. All under the table was crumbs and all seats were a little dirty.

Went out with my friend. I ordered a white coffee and she ordered the one with protein and oats milk. It was served cold, had to ask to warm it up. Once warmed it tasted better. The place Wasn’t too clean. It had empty tables needed clean up! Staff was helpful on the tills. Not sure if I will go again , hence 3/5

Iv used this costa for a number of years its always been very slow service with a que of people waiting at the counter for drinks but since Rob has been there the service is a lot better no one stood around waiting only for seconds not 10 or 20 mins couple of the girls found to very rude but iv watched Rob reworking and credit where credit due he don't stop it on going and the cappuccino is made to perfection dont let this one go

Absolutely disgusting food, reporting to FSA as one slice of the pizza each had me and my partner throwing up and diarrhoea the following day. Ended up throwing the pizza away and claiming a refund through just eat.

My food never turned up, ordered through Uber, never again. Rang 13 times, and answered 3 times. All he said was 10 minutes,we busy. Rang again, it's 20 mins away. At least call your customers and say we can't fulfill your orders.

Overall the food was OK quality however they refuse to deliver to you without extra money if you’re over 2 miles away? My problem is they never say this on the Uber app and will pretend like the Uber driver is refusing to run your food unless you pay them extra money when actually it is just the workers there delivering the food all along. Don’t buy from here unless you wanna be scammed

Ordered here regularly, pretty much at least once a month but today was the last. Told to call and they would give a cheaper price, checked on just eat and it was cheaper there, told them and the deal on just eat magically disappeared with the person on the phone having no idea whats going on. Ordered large fries and the portion that came was smaller than the regular... The pizza was squashed as well. Only shining light this time was the driver who was great. Ordered here many times but never again and will recommend to all my family and friends who order here to stop as well - this is no way to treat any sort of customer never mind a regular one.

A very white people pub your not allowed to swear and can feel a bit intimidating to the minority. no kids allowed after 7pm however very good taps for their lager and pints has cobs and other traditional pub staples. Quite pricey.

Part of the Black Country Ales brand. Nicely furnished with real fire and clean throughout. Sport on the tv and radio in the background. I enjoyed a Jennens ale and hard scratchings for £4.85. I wanted to get a card for the ticking off each of the pubs 8n the chain, but was told not available until the new year. Certainly worth visiting

I really didn't think there were still hotel 'restaurants' like this any more. In this day & age, with a ton of other MUCH cheaper and CONSIDERABLY better options just a short walk away, you'd think they'd be able to do better. Caesar salad...chicken is an optional (6 quids worth of) add-on making for nearly £20 of very bland food. We do better at home with HelloFresh 🤷🏼‍♂️ Seriously, this is very poor for a supposedly upper end hotel group. Decor is dubious and dated, like an 80s club. Staff here are one of the saving graces, polite but bored and seemingly as frustrated as disappointed customers. Drinks were ok. I'm just genuinely surprised at such poor value for money 🤷🏼‍♂️

Went on 14th august 22 for our 1st anniversary meal was greeted by kim who brought our meals and drinks she made our day special she was very polite and also thanks to the chef who made us a extra menu as restaurant was closed but still allowed us to have out 1st anniversary meal in main restaurant all to our selfs only had to pay for our drinks as Copthorne payed for our meals as we had our wedding hear would definitely recommend this place as food was really nice.

Went to Faraday's for our parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary - They had a night to remember! The staff were so helpful & set up a lovely table for us - and Vicki in particular, made their night with her friendliness and fun throughout the evening. It was such an enjoyable night with wonderful food too - couldn't recommend this place enough. Thank you Vicki and all the staff x

Been here a few times now. I would say it's average. Certainly better places for a curry. I found the food nice. I was annoyed by the staff watching us like we planned a robbery. My dads nearly 80 only 2 people under 40. It is frustrating as its rude. It would put me off returning. I dont know why i felt that so strongly. Leaving for a smoke was even more strange. Definitely not my cup of tea, sadly. Supporting local business's is very important. No staff were rude it was just the watching of every move. Our food was ok, 8 of us went.

I ordered a butter chicken curry and what I got was something nothing like butter chicken. It was a thick yellow sauce full of desiccated coconut and sugar. It was sickly sweet. There was far too much sauce and what there was of the chicken it was poor quality. The chicken was sliced chicken with a slight red tinge. The kind you find in cheap packs of sliced sweet chilli chicken for wraps etc. The whole curry was disgusting. Not ordering from here again.

We had ordered for the first time from Bangla kitchen it turned out to be ddisappointingly not to my taste. All curry's tasted the same, they used the same bland masala that didn't have enough herbs in them, it was clearly noticeable they didn't cook at high temperatures as my lamb curry was light red which should of been dark brown & paste like masala, very bland indeed, biryani also is not fresh but looked like microwave food. This is our first and last time.

I ordered some vegetarian curry and a couple of chicken dishes last night. The dishes were expensive but the quality was poor. The potatoes were uncooked, chicken was raw inside and the biryani rice was hard and no taste at all. We had to bin most of food as we were worried we would get food poisoning if we ate it. Ordered from Bangla through just eat website. Food was delivered very quickly and hot. Taste was average for the chicken jalfrezi I've tasted better elsewhere. Have been to the toilet twice since with runny poos. Won't be ordering from there again. Got a feeling i will be spending most of the day in the loo, hope I don't have an accident getting there in time.

Avoid at all costs. Before they opened I saw them leave a full duck on the ground in a basket with holes in it as well as vegetables. Fully exposed to the germs on the ground. Their hygiene is only 2 stars as of March 2024. Don’t eat here unless you wanna be ill.

Best chineese food in the area by far we have been using this place for at least the last 25/30 years Honestly we have Never had a bad meal here hence using the place for so long at least once a week The owners are chineese don't speak English very well but are nice people It's collection and cash only And yes we have tried all the other uber eats and just eats chineese take aways in the area nothing comes close for taste and value in our opinion

Would give 0 stars if possible. Beef curry is like water and taste like bad grease with no meat. Egg fried rice with basically no egg. Called before to ask if they had salt and pepper chicken which they confirmed and then gave us a wet dish not dry which is NOT what we wanted. Burnt spring roll. Dry chicken. This is the best chip shop around! The owners are both so very lovely and everything on the menu is delicious and trust me I have tried it all !!! The chicken is better than KFC and better portions very reasonably priced too! You can see why it’s so popular, if you haven’t tried it yet try it!!

First time trying this place, late evening during the week while I was visiting Birmingham. I went for the peri chicken strips with fries and a drink. Service was great, food was presented well and the taste was great.

Excellent burgers. Stopped in on a whim and they made them all fresh to order. Also their Peri Donner burger is sensational. Wish more places did this. Highly recommended. If I'm back in the area I'll definitely stop in again

Popped for a quick drink and found venue had a cheese tasting event which they have on Wednesdays a free sampling when you buy a drink which is a nice gesture. We did not find the space comfortable and moved three times to find better seating. Landlord was not the most welcoming of people we felt so overall would not be rushing back to this venue as we have others with better atmospheres and more comfortable. If you like real ales though it's a good choice.

I love Black Country Ales. Their pubs are clean, welcoming and almost always have excellent beer. Had a cracking pint in here. Barman was lovely and had time for everyone who went to the bar. Only had time for one but would go back without hesitation.

Best pub around for miles. Fantastic selection of ales,ciders and gins. Just a shame there's no beer garden or smoke hut. The sloping table still baffles me after all these years, and the roaring fire in winter adds to it all. Well worth a visit.

Small, cosy old school pub with a massive selection of beer & cider on tap to choice from. Well stocked bar also carries wide array of cool spirits as well. Atmosphere is pretty chill and there is nice background music too. Lot of character to this place. Service was pretty fast even when I last visited on a recent Friday night. Staff seem pretty sound. Very reasonable prices too.

Bar snacks available. Not too busy at the mo so no waiting time at the bar. Happy to supply a taste of any tap beverage you're not sure of.. Make your own atmosphere or join in.

Another excellent real ale pub with at least six to choose from. There is a board displaying that the pub has served over 600 different ales as of July this year. Revisited today and enjoyed a Salopian Helix. There isn't a beer garden here

Absolutely amazing food. Sunday dinner on 10th August was phenomenal. A group of 5 and pur food came and and all was hot and perfect. Friendly atmosphere, brilliant bar sraff. Love this place...please give it a try. Highly recommend booking in advance for Sunday lunch. 💗💗💗💗

Visited here today for Sunday dinner , I had beef dinner . The meat was so tender , it tasted lovely , I desert chocolate fudge cake with ice cream can I say it was amazing. Staff went out their way to please us nothing was too much . Would highly recommend this pub . Staff are all lovely people and the chef Craig is a person who takes pride in his food and looking after his customers . Will definitely be revisiting . Please visit you won’t be disappointed.

Me and my friend came here last week as we have driven past it multiple times and finally decided to eat here. We were not disappointed, the wings were sublime, the sauce, the crunch and how it was seasoned was fantastic. I've been to Wingmans in London and I would happily say that the wings enter the same conversation as the London Restaurant. Great choices of Beers, Ciders etc on draught. I would definitely recommend coming here for the chicken as it is by far the best chicken I have tasted within the area. Keep up the great work. We will be coming here again for the Buffalo Burger.

Wasn't the best to be honest. £25 for 2 large cod meals and with both we had some very undercooked chips. The fish were cooked lovely but the batters weren't great. I'm no expert but it was too thick in many places and on the underside it was solid/burnt.

Not many tables, a bit unclear whether it’s the waiter coming and taking orders or whether you’re supposed to come to them and order food. Food was mid at best, nice gravy, chips were ok, fish was a bit tasteless maybe just because I had cod. Not impressive but not bad either. Food was served in about 10-20 mins since ordering. I don’t think I would come back again.

We have been using Merchants for years but after today we won’t be going back. We ordered battered chips, we received normal. Also a burger with salad and sauce. To say I was disgusted would be an understatement, it was a dry bun no salad no sauce. I have had to put curry sauce on the bun as it’s so dry. Also half of the chips still had black eyes in. Extremely angry and disappointed.

I got the lunch deal which was £6. Portion size was perfect and it tasted amazing. The service was fantastic as well. I don’t live near but would definitely go again

Well, never in my life have I had bright pink “Italian pasta” I ordered chicken tetrazzini and it’s clear they used tandoori chicken instead of garlic because it dyed my food pink. Really off putting and didn’t taste all that nice either. For salad was something… all in all wouldn’t order again. Partner said delivery guy was really nice though ☺️

I really love this takeaway as they always get the Food spot on every time, fairly quick delivery, great pizza, and the delivery drivers are always friendly. Definitely recommend for others.

Jade were incredibly accommodating and SO TASTY! We rang and asked if they could do a couple of dishes that weren’t on the menu. They graciously accommodated us and charged us fairly for the items. The food was delivered early and HOT, and so so so tasty! Special mention to the Wonton Soup, the sweet and sour is actually sweet AND sour and very well balanced and every pork dish was sublime. The “munch boxes” are great for the kids / lover of beige foods. All in all an absolute winner. Thank you. Strongly recommend…

We have been using jade for a few months now, their service is impeccable, from the staff that take the orders being very helpful and polite to the delivery drivers who are quick and friendly. The food is always perfect. Thank you for being a lovely regular takeaway for us 😇

By far, the BEST chinese takeaway I've found since moving to Birmingham. Great tasting food, excellent service and they've even cooked me food which is not on the menu. Incredible! I've ordered well over £100 orders, and they've always got it right! So pleased to have this takeaway!! Munchbox is great! Lemon Chicken is very good!!

Food as always superb. Fresh tastey and always good portions. I even screwed up our order pressed collection instead of delivery, phoned up about a hour after ordering. the food had been kept hot and they offered to deliver. Excellent as always.

Been using this place for years and the last food bought from here has put us off. The chicken in the curry poor, it was not real chicken it was processed chicken - soft and sloppy when biting into. Same for the chicken balls. Not sure what they are playing at but they will lose customers serving up slops like this. Beef curry - beef was tender. Curry sauce and sweet and sour sauce lovely, chips lovely, egg fried rice lovely. It’s a shame as the staff are very friendly and price and delivery service top notch. They have really let themselves down here.

Waited well over an hour for an order to turn up with a delivery driver that looked miserable and was rude to my partner. Quite possibly the worst Chinese food I’ve tried. The only thing edible was the egg fried rice and prawn crackers. Beef curry was horrible. Chips were rock hard like they’re 2 days old. Chicken balls were rock hard and almost black like they’d been cremated. And the bbq spare ribs were vile too. It looked and tasted like it’s been sat on the side for 2 days then warmed up and sent to us. Absolute waste of money and time waiting. Wouldn’t recommend to any one. Wouldn’t order from here again! 👍🤢

Ordered delivery which come very fast. The food; roast pork chow mein, chicken chow mein and prawn toast were all bland and tasteless. Tried to add some MSG to enhance the flavour but this didn't help much. For a Chinese takeaway it was quite poor.

This is an excellent chinese take away ,in the thirteen years I've been using them I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal.

Had one wednesday night and it was bang on. The special chow mein was full of flavour and had plenty of prawns and meat in it,so good! The chicken balls w sweet+sour was bang on and everything aswell as the curry was bang on!Well done golden rice will be ordering again soon 👍🏻

Ordered £70 worth of food for the family. It was a let down.. chips were burnt and over done, the salt and pepper chicken wings had no flavour and were also way over done was rock hard. The bbq spare ribs had no flavour were also over done could barely bite through them!! Wont order again

Just ordered a load of Chinese for me and my friends and everything was so good! From the service to the pick up. Especially the chicken chow mien & egg friend rice is really nice! Fully recommend this takeaway for anybody in the area

Small Chinese takeaway just off the Halesowen roundabout. We phoned the order through and there was just a short wait when we arrived. Reasonably priced meals. The servings were large & well cooked, although they did taste a touch salty. The beef was tender. Parking can be an issue if the road is busy.

My partner ordered takeaway at 6:30pm this evening and our food STILL isn't here 2hours later despite being notified that our order was on the way over half an hour ago. While I can understand delays and busy periods, a two hour delay is ridiculous. Every time I try to call the line is busy and I can't get through. Poor service and lack of communication.

Went there the other day, ordered a good amount of food since I was feeling some Chinese and my friend recommended it to me. The food only took 40 minutes to arrive and it was still piping hot. The food was very fresh and tasted very flavourful aswell, definitely coming again. 😁

Ordered a recommended takeaway, special chow mein. Noting at all special about it - in fact it was possibly the blandest tasting chinese I have had! Never again! There are much better choices than this rubbish.

Received order for our family, ood looked great, however the pot of curry sauce was that flimsy it spilled all over my daughters hand causing second degree burns. Hence meal ruined and was not eaten due to having to take care of the burn which will now take weeks to heal

Use to love a four cheese pizza , but they have changed the cheeses and won’t be ordering again, so disappointed

Food decent but for how much I paid the portion was tiny The service was alright but they don’t give drinks when i paid for a meal And not the nicest looking place

They haven’t taken the old prices off the wall so they wait for you to order it for them to give you their new menu. I was looking at £6.50 for a 10” pizza just for them to hand me a new leaflet that said £8, the whole place is an absolute bomb site, does not look hygienic at all, was waiting for close to half an hour for my food as well while nobody else was in there.

This shop is amazing good staff and friendly food is perfect and I would recommend it to everyone 😋
