Ski resort
Nestled in the heart of the Aubrac plateau, Station de ski de Laguiole offers a delightful winter vacation for families. With its variety of activities including skiing, snowshoeing, and dog sledding, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The resort boasts well-maintained slopes and a spacious tobogganing area. It's praised for its friendly atmosphere and accessibility.
Excellent! all you need for a day out in Aveyron and may be more, nothing to be ashamed of. Alpin ski is a good level and quite a lot to do in Nordic ski, racquet and just walk around. Definitly Aveyron is full of surprises!!!😍

I was here in the summer. Therefore, I can’t really say anything. I will say one thing: there is another ski station nearby, which has a much more developed infrastructure. There are few paths here. Nature is certainly good here. Fresh air.

(Translated by Google) The route to access the Devèz waterfall is very well marked, which makes orientation easier. It takes about 30 minutes of walking to get there, with a fairly easy descent, but be careful, the climb back up can be a bit difficult, especially if you don't have good hiking shoes. The waterfall itself is beautiful and well worth the effort. I recommend this place for those who like short hikes with a nice reward on arrival!

Forge de Laguiole is a magical place for enthusiasts of the Laguiole knife. The company was established to revive the Laguiole knife in its original birthplace and has been recognized as a reference by the Living Heritage Company label. Each model is meticulously assembled, adjusted, and shaped by hand. Visitors are welcomed with excellent hospitality and can receive advice and explanations about the manufacturing process.
I can to this town to do business with the Forge and was so impressed with their operation. There are many knive companies but this is the original one. We had a beautiful tour and purchased some knives as well. You can visit the store in town but if you arrange a tour at the factory on the hill it’s wonderful!

Mediocre quality. I bought a knife with an engraving as a present for a friend and after 6 months of normal use the corkscrew broke off. The company decided, that it was my friends fault and did not honor the warranty. I had to pay 50 EUR for the repair. Disappointing. I told them as much but they did not care. Next time I will buy a Swiss pocket knife again (at a fraction of the price), as I never had a cork screw break off on one of them.
Matthias A — Google review
I have bought my pocket knife from Forge de Laguiole on the net, and it is an excellent piece of handwork. Every detail is perfectly made, and I will enjoy this knife for the rest of my life.
Thomas P — Google review
We have enjoyed our Laguiole corkscrew for many years and unfortunately the screw snapped while I was trying to remove one of those new fabricated corks. I phoned the company and was immediately put into contact with the representative in Canada. Their service was exceptional. They contacted me to let me know when the corkscrew I sent had arrived to them. They kept me in communication when it was being repaired and then they contacted me to let me know it was being shipped back to me. I would highly recommend this company to anybody who appreciates quality and service.

It’s a bit off the beaten track for American tourists but if you are into pocket knives or love all things French and have a penchant for fine and rare things then put a factory tour on your agenda and budget for a really nice knife. (Just make sure you put it on your checked bags on the way home). The building was startlingly avant-guard when it was built and still worth checking out. Take a selfie with the curves in the background. Have a little refreshment in town before your tour as there are no snacks and the closest food vendors are pricey. The drive through the country to the factory if beautiful but then it’s France...

(Translated by Google) It was after my first Laguiole knife from Forge de Laguiole was stolen that I asked the same craftsmen if it was possible to add a full bone handle to brass plates and forged springs, as I couldn't afford to pay a fair price for manual guilloché work or a hand-carved bee (I'll make sure to treat myself to one later!). And it was with great pleasure that I learned that this was possible, despite the absence of such an assembly in their catalog. I was carefully listened to and guided by email, from the choice of handle material to the double-letter engraving on the blade. They were truly professional and attentive, and they offered me a final price that, moreover, fit within my budget! Let's make sure to fund this kind of initiative that promotes French craftsmanship and prolongs the history and tradition of this magnificent country. Once again, a huge thank you to the whole team for this magnificent work and the pleasure of owning a new Forge de Laguiole work!

It has been almost a decade since the purchase of some exquisite knives made from rosewood by bees. Recently, they were brought back to be sharpened, which was willingly offered at no cost when originally bought. The return was reminiscent of acquiring them anew as they looked pristine. Investing in these splendid knives is highly recommended as their quality is exceptional and with proper maintenance, they will provide many years of reliable service.

Nestled in the heart of the renowned village of Laguiole, Best Western Le Relais De Laguiole Hôtel & Spa offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere for a relaxing getaway. The rooms blend mountain lodge warmth with provincial colors, providing a cozy and spacious retreat. Indulge in Terroir cuisine at the on-site restaurant, featuring various Aubrac specialties.
Stayed for one night while travelling south. We were very impressed with this hotel and in particular the friendly and engaging staff, something currently lacking in many establishments where fear of the guests seems to be uppermost. This was genuine hospitality as it ought to be. The swimming pool was great and very relaxing. We enjoyed an excellent evening meal in a busy and clearly very popular restaurant. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel.
Alex S — Google review
Rooms outdated with horrible dirty grey carpet flooring and old bathroom. Great location, indoor swimming pool ok, but value for money is not good enough. We asked for a quiet room and were given a bedroom with a door next to our bed leading to another bedroom! My partner had a door behind her bedside table. Shame. Air conditioning was set on hot and not reversible to cold setting. There is a small noisy electric heater in the bathroom with a timer, it was like going back 20 years ago! Very expensive for the quality provided. It seems posh at first, with sleepers and bathrobes, but it is outdated
Jean-Claude R — Google review
Very clean room. Friendly staff. The pillows and cushions on the bed were very comfortable (I got injured when cycling and needed some soft cushioning to elevate my leg). Room came with two sets of bath robes and two pairs of slippers. Good breakfast selection. Dinner was mediocre though so I would suggest eating dinner elsewhere. The free wifi was spotty, but I was in one of the rooms at the end of the corridor so maybe that was why.

Maison Bras is a contemporary hotel located in the Suquet, offering airy rooms and apartments with a gourmet restaurant. The building's elegant design seamlessly integrates with its rugged and majestic natural surroundings. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views from the vast glass salon while sipping champagne or a house aperitif at sunset. The dining room also offers stunning vistas of the Aubrac hills and is refreshed by a nearby stream, creating an immersive connection with nature.
This is by far, the best culinary experience you can find in France, probably Europe. - the right balance of tastes on every dish is enchanting - the number of varied, creative, unique ingredients and tastes is incredible - everything is fresh, natural and beautiful - well it's simply super good 😊 One thing to improve in my personal opinion: - I mentioned that the variety was great but there was some repetition along the dishes: especially the overuse of "houttuynia cordata" also called chameleon plant, on many dishes and this is very strong in taste, I would have wanted to see it used in only one dish and have other aromatic pants in other dishes. And a side note on why I didn't say that this is the best restaurant in the world: it's because Japan has many chefs and restaurants who rival this, and I would say goes even further is depth of experience than Maison Bras. I luckily live in Japan.
Colin M — Google review
Le Suquet by Sébastien Bras is an unforgettable culinary journey! Exceptional creativity, flawless flavors, and breathtaking presentation — every dish feels like art. An incredible food experience worth every moment!
Natalia B — Google review
Maison Bras offers a truly exceptional dining experience. On Fridays and weekends, reservations are essential, though we managed to book via stopping by for same-night. They invite guests to arrive 45 minutes early for aperitifs — a wonderful way to start the experience. The views are stunning, and the aperitif menu is creative and delightful. I recommend choosing à la carte rather than the set menu, as the latter is quite expensive and very generous. The garden salad is a must-try, as well as the lamb or beef dishes. It’s also worth mentioning the local trout — fresh and perfectly prepared. A remarkable combination of setting, flavors, and attention to detail.
Venera D — Google review

However there were some traces of handling on the bottom bolster that I hadn't noticed, I went back the next morning and they rebrushed the parts for free in 5 minutes. (Translated by Google) A warm welcome the day before, while scouting products, with Sandrine at the helm! The next day was just as positive, with a particularly good raw Aveyron ham, thanks to the whole team!

(Translated by Google) We stopped at the Buronniers cheese dairy to see how Laguioles cheese is made. The place allows you to take a corridor which overlooks the workshops which constitute the different stages of manufacturing. From cutting curds to turning over huge wheels Informative visit to make.

The hotel offers a bright setting with a shaded terrace where guests can enjoy robust regional meat and cheese dishes, as well as burgers. Stopped for lunch, didn't stay. The shaded garden area out the back was wonderful. The restaurant was really busy but the service was excellent. Food was also very good. Have no hesitation recommending this restaurant to anyone

Our lunch took quite a long time as I think we had a big group and of course, after Covid there seems like staff is difficult to find. The food was really good and the management was great. I would definitely return again, and I would recommend the menu rather than à la cart ended up being about €40 but since I’m a vegetarian, they didn’t have any good options on the menu

NOT recommended for families with babies (and those who support mothers' rights): I was nurturing my baby and the waiter came up and asked me to go down into the cellar into the restroom area to continue nurturing. There was not even a piece of skin visible thanks to my clothing and literally no one anywhere close by, but still it seemed to be a problem. There was a simple chair in the restroom area for this purpose - in the men's restroom... I found this utterly rude and backward oriented. Having been to the restaurant a few times and ignoring negative reviews from locals until now, I will not go there again.

Great quality food with very generous serves. Comprehensive wine list at reasonable prices. The service was also warm and welcoming. All in all very good value and a very pleasant experience. Would return.

Great food and friendly service.

Food was pretty good but place looks more like a cafeteria excepted for the prices. And come on, €7 a tap beer served 3m away from the bar is ripping off people. Even in Canada it's cheaper... if there is a next time, for sure I'll stick to tap water!

Excellent beef. Best price value is with no doubt their local burger. Service is a bit rough on the edge although the crew is kind. I guess that's the local flavor 😊.

This is a very good Logis hotel situated in a lovely town in the Auvergne. The owner met us on our arrival and was very hospitable and helpful. The hotel is very comfortable and the food in the restaurant is first class. We found the hotel was a good location for an overnight stop on our way from the South of France to the ferry to Ireland, which we caught at Roscoff in Brittany

Very pleasant hotel. But unfortunately it was very hot and there is no air conditioning. The proprietor kindly lent us a fan. The restaurant was excellent, and the staff very professional.

(Translated by Google) We came as a group. The service is very attentive, the restaurant exceptional, with high-quality products. The chef is available and explains his dishes to us, the origin of the products (his vegetable garden for the vegetables). Excellent address, very well located. Comfortable rooms, good bedding. (Translated by Google) Our stay was very satisfactory. The quality of the services offered, but especially the welcome, delighted us. Having already been there, we asked for the room we had the previous trip (it has a great terrace!) and Mr. Moreau immediately assigned it to us, well equipped, impeccable cleanliness. The breakfast is incredible. As for the catering, how can I put it? The homemade and local products are a real journey for our gourmet taste buds and always with a smile and kindness. It is certain, our reference in Laguiole is your establishment.
