Cinema Cinecity in Vlissingen, the largest cinema in Zeeland, is a modern movie theater with 7 screens showcasing all the latest releases. Situated below the boulevard, it offers a beautiful setting for film enthusiasts to enjoy their favorite movies and take leisurely strolls afterward. Additionally, Vlissingen hosts the renowned international Film by the Sea festival annually, making it a must-visit destination for cinema lovers.
One of the best cinemas I know. The staff is kind, chairs are comfortable and you of course have the special big screen which makes movies more fun to watch.
The snacks are expensive to buy there though.

Cinema itself is still very nice!
Good cinema, obviously a great cinematic atmosphere inside, food is a little on the expensive side but not too bad either. It's probably going to be changed into a different cinema company and be renovated. But for the time being it's a great place.
The cinema has a lot of potential, and has a really nice cafe, but why doesn’t it have airconditioning? It was unbearably stuffy watching the movie, and the cinema smelled really bad with everyone’s sweat.
Great movie and small cinema
The movie started 45 minutes late but everything was really nice. The sound was awesome and the screen is just massive. I think the prices are a little high for what you get. I do think the idea to have jurassic park followed by the new jurassic world was amazing idea.
Comfortiful seats,you can choose your own seats when you already at the cinema. So you a little tip fome little bit more early to your movie go on of the first trow the door and choose wherever you want to sit 🤩
This is the cinema I grew up with. It has always been very clean and the staff is very welcoming towards guests. The prices of food are as to be expected, cinema like expensive. But overall I would definitely recommend going here to watch a movie. It currently houses one of the largest screens in Europe if I recall correctly. Definitely worth a watch!

Iguana Reptile Zoo, situated in the heart of town, is Europe's largest covered reptile zoo. Boasting a diverse collection of over 500 live amphibians, reptiles, and insects from around the globe, visitors can marvel at an array of creatures including frogs, lizards, crocodiles, snakes, turtles, scorpions and tarantulas. Housed in a historic building with various terrariums showcasing these fascinating animals in their habitats.
Reptile zoo/rescue like no other, worth the visit ! Animals in such good shape (other than pre-existing condition before rescue ofc)! Clean habitats, intriguing pletora of species! Fully indoor and definetly big compared to any other reptilezoo.

Was very nice visiting here, and I would recommend it. The employee at the counter was extremely welcoming and lovely, however we did think the terrariums are run down and on the small side. The animals look good, but I hope there could be some renovations and real plants. The outside does not do it justice! Very welcoming
The zoo was setup in a historical building. It hosts very interesting reptiles. Most of them looked quite happy in their houses (I am not sure how a reptile can look happy though) still it is sad to see them in captivity. The exception is the albino piton. It could not survive in wild nature so it is better for it to be kept there. There are also a few skeletons in the exhibition and the one belonged to a piton was really impressive. You cannot enter for free with your museum cards. Get ready to pay around 8 euros per person. There is a small discount for kids.
WORST ZOO I HAVE EVER BEEN TO.
If you want to support animals being mistreated then go ahead. Most of the cages were tiny (even when there were 5+ animals in there), pretty much all of the plants were fake (plastic), there was water missing in the cage with the big turtles, there was no real sand or mud in the cages (it was plastic). I could continue this list, i won’t. I also could have taken more pictures. We left early because we couldn’t handle it. I honestly do not know how this is legal.
Lots of animals to see. Rescuing abandoned animals is a great thing to do. Works have like to get more info on the animals, though most have at least a species tag.
Yes, it does have a big collection of various reptiles and even uncommon ones at that, but we thought that "the largest indoor reptile zoo in Europe" would have a bigger wow-factor.
To put it into perspective, I would be curious how much larger the zoo is compared to reptilian sections of other zoos. So, for me, the statement "the largest indoor reptile zoo in Europe" raised expectations a bit too much, if I'm honest.
Nevertheless, it is informative, there are some really special animals and stories in the exhibits, and overall it is a great option to spend time there with family.
Can recommend it, especially if someone is into lizards (and similar), snakes, etc. 4/5!
This place is a wonderful addition to anyones day in Vlissingen. The animals are very well cared of and have big and beautiful habitats with everything the animal needs. The structure is remarkable, every habitat has been placed in the building in a clever way to still make sure the original features of the building are showing!
I was pleasantly surprised. The way the exhibits are integrated in the old architecture is quite unique. The backgrounds of the exhibits are mostly drawn by hand and they give of an wierd antique collector's vibe.
The collection was very impressive. And the exhibits were in good condition.
The place could use a bit of renovating.
But Keep the style. There is potential.
And the nursery was amazing. Very cool idea.

In my opinion, just a tourist trap…
-1⭐️ The pub isn’t really clean, the tables are sticky, the toilets are a mess.
-1 ⭐️ The waiter was motivated like a sloth. Doesn’t cared about our wishes, doesn’t cared about our opinion at the end of the lunch nor even said good bye to us when we left.
-1⭐️ There are hardly vegetarian alternatives. You can’t change the burger, even if it is mentioned in the menu. The ordered salad was a joke. 15,50€ for 5 slices of goat cheese and a handful of green stuff. We then asked for some white bread, as my wife would leave hungry otherwise. We got dark bread instead with some topings we didn’t ordered and payed another 3,50€.
- 1⭐️ The Burger patty tastes like sausage, the bun was cold and fluffy and the fries were soft.
All in all we will certainly not come back - maybe you shouldn't either…
We ordered the cheese burger and fries. The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave us advise on the menu.
The burger and fries were really nice, we really enjoyed it and I really liked the side salad with the mustard vinegarette.
The service was great 👍 I really liked that we could laugh and joke with the staff.
The location was great and the place has a very cosmopolitan feel, chilled and relaxed which we enjoyed.

We had kibbeling and 1 kg mussel, both was delicious, kibbeling fried a bit much. Mussel was clean - no sand at all. Wonderful things was live music, we would come back here. Recommended.
You have to try the entire Menü Card. All is very lovely presentated, the Fish is fresh an from high Quality. We stay 2 Days at this Restaurant… recomended! And im a Chef in my own Restaurant in Eifel.

The best bar in a city, if you wanna have some fun especially friday saturday thats the right place to go, also trough the week a lot of stuff happening, live music etc.

Best restaurant lunch experience. The waiter was super nice, loved the ambience and the big menu they had here, and the food was absolutely amazing. Get their Sandwich Souf and you should be good for your lunch, the chicken and the rest of the sauces and toppings were excellent. The egg was also yummy. The sisi was refreshing with a nice bubbly flavor. All of the other dishes we got were really nice as well, especially the butter chicken with their naan bread. Plenty of seating outdoor and indoors as well to best accommodate the guests too with many different seating options to offer, which I like as well. Worth stopping by here in Vlissingen for lunch for sure! Amazing!

The food itself is just fine, you won’t regret. However, it’s nothing special. If you really like seafood: you’ll be disappointed a bit. Keep close the translator as they do not have the menu in English. Overall good experience but not worth special recommendation.

Good place to have a bite or drink something if you are willing to wait for a bit. They do take the time that you might have to catch a movie in account. But the wait for food is on the rather long side of the spectrum.

We recently visited Visamy in Vlissingen and had a fantastic experience. Despite the busy atmosphere, the service was incredibly friendly and attentive. The staff took the time to suggest which sauces would pair best with our dishes – a thoughtful touch that really stood out.
The kibbeling was absolutely delicious – crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavor. Honestly, one of the best I've ever had! Our son loved the "Garlic Queens" – super fresh and packed with taste. Our daughter’s calamari were also excellent – perfectly cooked and seasoned just right.
I also tried the fish soup, which had a rich, hearty flavor. Personally, I found the water pepper a bit too strong for my taste, but that’s just a matter of preference.
A great bonus is that the restaurant is integrated with a fish shop, so you can really taste the freshness in every dish. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and service.
If you're a seafood lover visiting Vlissingen, Visamy is a must-visit.

Very good fish dishes. We shared a delicious fish soup as a starter, followed by steamed mussels with Chips and several dips.
Everything was very tasty.
We had the Fishtrio. Fried mussels, squid rings and kibbeling. Delicious and for a touristic area a good price.
Omg so good fresh looks touristic but it's the real deal fish market that has tables, go for it , don't order anything fried , no need, the fresh is exquisite, the soup is like clam chowder with a twist, lighter , so good, would deserve more selection on alcoholic bubbles

Whenever we are in Holland we drive down to Zeeland to have a meal at Visamy in Vlissingen and so far we were never disappointed. Service is always friendly and the food is always fresh and tasty. Just what you want & need!

For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Strandpaviljoen Piet Hein, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Ballorig Vlissingen | Indoor speeltuin. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

The place was great and nice, but a bit windy yesterday. The food was good quality and nice portion considering the prices. The young waitress that took the orders and serve us the food was kind and smiling all the times but the one how bring the drinks was rude and grumpy all the way. Anyway is a great place to dine in and enjoy the view.

Without seeming arrogant, but here one must clearly relativize the value of the attraction: I do not want to judge art, but the exceptionality of the place and the object of art must be clearly classified as conditionally worth seeing. Impressive are the large ships, which pass close to the lighthouse due to the fairway. But has nothing to do with the artwork.
Even though it’s windy, the sound is not as loud as i thought and you couldn’t really film it because of the wind noise. But the scenery from the place is beautiful
Unfortunately, this is a dilapidated site. Some of the pipes are broken and the remaining ones are askew.
I expected something special, but it is not. May be we did not have the best weather conditions, but you can hardly hear any effect/sound.
A good place where to reset your brain health...

Fun place for the kids. Seems expensive. However the kids get unlimited drinks, bag of fries, bag of snacks, bag of candy, slush puppy and popcorn. So all in all a good price. For the parents unlimited coffee and tea. Great to sit with laptop and free wi-fi

The dining experience at the beach pavilion Panta Rhei was thoroughly enjoyed. The meals were delightful, with a delicious double cheese burger accompanied by excellent fries and a fantastic salad that could easily be enjoyed on its own. Additionally, the food sampled from others' plates was also tasty. The service provided was friendly and pleasant, while the stunning views of the beach, sunset, and sea added to the overall ambiance. The music played was memorable and having the option to bring a dog inside was appreciated.
There was a large group of us, enjoying a really good social event with food and drink. We were here many hours. The food, drink, service and atmosphere in the large conservatory extension was ideal. Definite recommendation.

We were walking along the beach and we saw this pretty restaurant. It looked very cozy so we wanted to go there for a drink (we are four people by the way). We were met by a woman who didn’t even smile when we entered. When we asked if we could take a drink she looked at us and said how many are you, whereas we answered 4. She simply said no even though the outside area as well as inside was empty. She wasn’t keen on listening to us. For me as a hospitality worker the importance is to give options, and show hospitality. If the entire restaurant was fully booked then maybe they had a table free for 30 minutes where we could have sat down and have a drink or two. She didn’t know what we were gonna order and honestly the lack of hospitality and niceness disrupted this cozy restaurant!

Double cheese burger that came with the best fries I've ever had and an awesome salad that I could of eaten just by it's self...(I also tried a bit of everyone's else's food which was tasty too!) Desert I had shared but kinda wish I didn't cause it was good. The service was nice and friendly and the views of the beach, sunset and sea were beautiful! The music was a highlight and I was able to take my dog inside with me. I wouldn't normally give a 5 star rating but I thought it was worthy. And no I didn't get a free meal to give this rating.
Spent a few evenings here. Amazing place and probably the best place to watch the sunset. Lots of space to lock up bikes. Service is good but more staff doing the rounds could be good. I like beer and suffer terribly internally when I have to wait. :D

I ordered the Panta Rhei burger. It was big and flavourful. The Patty is seasoned strongly, with many herby notes, but this type of seasoning is very common in hamburguer patties in the Netherlands, it is good tho, but I prefer a more natural and beefy flavor. The burguer came with fries, which where crispy and tasty, and some fresh salad which was ok.
Prices are fine, but soft drinks are super tiny! 200ml tiny bottles.

The distance between the parking lot and the beach pavilion is approximately a 15-minute walk. At the beach pavilion, one can find small rental houses as well as a snack and drink shop. The beach itself is clean, with calm waters and some small jellyfish. The pavilion offers a lovely location directly on the beach, with delicious food such as burgers and a wonderful sight to enjoy. The service provided is friendly and helpful.

Great experience! We enjoyed our food, staff was lovely and kind (perfect English!), and the setting is perfect, right on the beach sitting outside to soak up the atmosphere. Must be great in the evening! Payment by card is not an issue, they have plant based milk (oat) for your coffee and if you’re coming by car there are a few paid parking options right across the dunes.
Plus there’s a small playground right in front (a pair of swings and a slide) if sand isn’t enough to keep the kids busy.
We stopped in for a snack while walking along the beach. There were places. The pavilion has a terrace and indoor spaces. There was a children's menu (3 dishes to choose from), appetizers (very interesting), main dishes. A large selection of drinks. Lemonades, tea. We sat nicely and ate deliciously. True, the child said that the pasta bolognese was dry.
Great location. Good beer and seasonal food. Maybe a little more expensive, but the store also has to finance itself. If it doesn't suit you, just move on.

My boyfriend's favourite possible place for eating. Every time we go to Vlissingen we cannot miss visiting this place. The formula is very simple, white or brown bread with several types of filling. Very entertaining and informative museum. I really recommend the free audio tour. The museum isn't very big (~1.5 hours), but I feel like kids will like the way the exhibitions are presented, with some interactive activities.
The building itself is relatively old, but inside the museum is pretty modern (including some free lockers). The view from the 'small tower' on top of the building of Vlissingen is nice as well.

It's easy to see why the muZEEum earned a European Museum of the Year nomination in 2004. The museum focuses on Dutch heroes and celebrities of the 17th and 18th centuries, including Michiel de Ruyter and the Lampsins brothers. However, I left feeling uneasy. While the museum acknowledges their involvement in the slave trade, it downplays the brutal reality of their business dealings. These figures were part of a system that forcibly transported an estimated 600,000 enslaved Africans to the Caribbean, with countless individuals perishing during the horrific Middle Passage and in the brutal conditions of the plantations. Ships sailed regularly from Vlissingen and other Dutch ports first to Africa to load their human cargo and take them to the Americas and returning with the exotic goods that fueled the Dutch economy and the fortunes of men like de Ruyter and the Lampsins. While this history isn't entirely absent from the museum's narrative, it lacks a crucial human rights perspective, failing to adequately convey the immense suffering and injustice inflicted upon the enslaved people. Wonderful place to visit. You can see pretty much everything in less than an hour. Do not skip the introductory video in the beginning of the route. It is a masterpiece. Also the view from the top is worth seeing. Free for museum card holders.

Michiel Adriaenszoon de Ruyter is widely celebrated and regarded as one of the most skilled admirals in history, De Ruyter is arguably most famous for his achievements with the Dutch Navy during the Anglo-Dutch Wars. But not many people visit. He fought the English and French forces and scored several critical victories, with the Raid on the Medway being the most famous among them.

The beach lodges and villas offer a magical experience, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect, just a few minutes' walk from the beach. While there are some minor points to consider such as storage space and WiFi connection, the friendly staff and overall experience make it highly recommended.
It's an absolutely magical place. If you think about booking a beach house in Vlissingen, do not think twice - book it. You will NOT regret it. We spend 4 days in this paradise and would go back in a heartbeat.
The houses are equipped with everything you might need, the beds are comfortable, and it's clean - plus you wake up directly at the beach.
We had a hard time finding the front desk, as it is tucked away as part of a camping spot. They have exact check in times lots but the check in process is super easy and hassle free. They even drop off your luggage and belongings directly in front of your house.
There are a total of 32 beach houses at the Nollestrand. I would recommend to stay at the ones closer to the end, if you like a little more silence and privacy. The other ones are closer to the part of the beach that is frequented by tourists.
There are grocery stores in walking distance (20 minutes), and you can pre-order your bread rolls at the front desk the day prior.
The only thing that would make this even better is room service and room cleaning 🤣

Good situated within walking distance to the beach and city center. Very nice staff. The beach houses direct on the beach look very nice. Also the dune houses. We stayed in an Urban Villa: Quite noisy place. You hear chairs moving from neighbour villa. If you open the window towards the street the noise level was also too high for us. Mattress far to soft for us. Was like a hammock:-). But of course these are all topics we did not found very appealing. If you don't bother with this then it is a lovely place.

I love the place, especially during summer when you can sit outside and look the pilots going in and out of the harbour and see their piloting skills. The Brasserie Evertsen is nicely decorated and employees polite and encouraging positive atmosphere. I often visit it and will continue to do so in the future.
Wonderful spot at the old harbour...watch the Scheldt Pilot boats do their smart 180 degree spin turn in the narrow Dock whilst downing a beer or three....

Brasserie Blvd offers a great dinning experience too with one of the best views in town.
We ordered the fish of the day, a perfectly cooked Dorade fish with a steam potato and carrots salad and a nice bowl of fries. We also ordered a fish soup, which was very tasty an fair in size given it was a starter.
Prices are also fine. Hot meals are a bit pricey, but considering location, it is fair.

A combination of fake meat with old aubergine and marshmallow which was something supposed to be béchamel. Gyros Special was disgusting. The meat didn’t even taste like meat, and on top there was dried out old cheese. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

I don't feel like I paid the right price ,since the area is still constructing and some of the games (the ones I was actually looking forward to the most) are not available . When I tried to talk about this with one of the staff his answer was a bit rude and he looked like he didn't care that we are paying the full price but not for the full experience .
Other than that it's fun and nicely arranged. Also in really hot days you get a free slush puppie 😉

The bad: a bit chaotic, very noisy due to new bowling alley construction. Paid for SkyRide but was broken so received one arcade coin in return. Lasershoot delayed due to technical problems. Not enough parking spaces, needed to park in the street. Tables shortage and table cleanup could benefit from frequency increase. The good: friendly and enthousiastic staff, kids had good fun.
Payed full price for some games to still be under construction and 2 games were not working.
Complained about this to a memeber if staff and he didn’t know what to say and rudely walked away.

A wonderful chance to have a view over the Walcheren area via panoramic paintings. They are very impressive, there is plenty of information on the paintings. The volunteers are excellent! Very friendly and welcoming.

This is a grand stop! The artist, Jo Dumon Tak, is really interesting and has done some incredible panoramas. A properly done panoramic painting is a huge undertaking: requiring complex perspective calculations. If it is done right, the viewer is not simply looking at a painting--instead you are INSIDE the painting. Dumon Tak's use of color and light make the panorama experience very realistic. One of the pieces places you inside a brilliantly green forest. Another puts your feet on a wet, sandy beach. Each is displayed individually, with no distractions. This enhances the experience enormously. In addition to quite a few panoramas, Dumok Tak shows the work of his students and various smaller works he has completed. The building itself and the history of Walcheren is really interesting; the island was completely flooded during the liberation of Holland. Panorama Walcheren in Vlissingen is a jewel not to be missed.
Nice place to spend half an hour till an hour. The price is low so can’t go wrong here.

The service staff was extremely attentive and accommodating, even providing a toddler chair for the little one. Unfortunately, the chair had food residue on it, which was somewhat unpleasant, but easily remedied with wet wipes.
Been here a good few times now and never disappointed. This is meat lovers heaven, the staff are fantastic and friendly and always smiling, they can’t do enough for you.

We had the mixed platter with a beer which worked out at around £44 each.
The service was great and the staff were very friendly and polite.
The food was really nice, lots of steaks, a couple of eggs, and paprika nachos, we also had a bowl of fries each.
We really enjoyed the meal and we literally couldn't finish the last steak .

Vlissingen Marina Lounge Restaurant 😔
I was planning to visit Marina Lounge in Vlissingen, but I’ve decided not to after hearing about the poor service from a friend. He waited almost an hour for his food, and only then were the cutlery set—something quite odd, especially since, having worked in hospitality myself, I know how important it is to check on guests and keep them informed, no matter how busy it gets.
The waiter should take responsibility for keeping the guests updated and ensuring they feel seen and cared for. Good service isn’t just about delivering food; it’s about attentiveness, communication, and making guests feel valued throughout their visit.
Pros - close to beach and business needs. Upgraded to room with balcony on arrival. Attractive reception and dining areas. Nice desserts. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons - no adjustable heat in room and restaurant was cold. No shampoo, conditioner, iron and ironing board or water provided in room. Expected more from a 4* hotel for business travellers. Meal in restaurant was nice - chose sharing 8 tapas style plates chef special inc. dessert at 45 EUR each - but most dishes were not hot on arrival.
Please improve these areas for a better rating.

Conclusion: As a frequent international business traveler, I cannot recommend this hotel. The service, room quality, and customer service feel more like a 2-star establishment charging 4-star prices. The combination of poor service, outdated facilities, and inflexible policies made for a frustrating stay.
More like a worn out 3 star hotel which somehow got the 4 stars by doing the bare minimum to achieve it. Fitness center is a small cell with old/outdated equipment. Broken A/C with no proper ventilation. Rooms are old, unrefurbished and smells to old wood. The only thing about the room was the shower, temperature and flow was convenient. Shampoo was of very cheap quality. The matrass was of two single beds and extremely soft where you could feel the frame of the bed underneath! Breakfast was quite good for Dutch standards with sufficient options. Parking is available just outside the hotel. Overall not recommended, unless you only use the hotel for a short sleep without expectations.
Personnel was very friendly, attentive and hardworking, I really appreciated their effort for doing their best.
Very kind staff and the hotel itself is nice with a pretty view on the sea. One thing that really annoyed us was the bedroom door doing the siren sound everytime we opened it… having stayed there with a baby, it was very frustrating. Breakfast was okay.
The price was extremely hefty, almost 300€ per night, absolutely not worth it, the hotel is already quite shabby, definitelly not 4 stars. They want to charge you ekstra for use of sauna while all other hotels I've been in Netherlands, 3/4 stars are offering it for free, if available. There are some stupidities like main room light must be on if you want to charge your phones over night.
But worst of all is the lack of proper curtains! The curtains they have are almost completely transparent, letting in all the light, and due to sunrise on that side and long days, I was awake long before 6AM and couldn't sleep anymore. Receptiones admitted that I'm far from only one that is complaining about this, but they're doing nothing about it.

We had a very nice evening at this restaurant . All the dishes were amazing. The eel ice cream is very extreme, and the fish with truffle is just an explosion of wonderful flavors. Peking duck is also something incredible. Very attentive and pleasant service.

Beautiful looking dishes. As starter I did order a beef/noodle dish. It was a nice light dish. Tarbot as main dish. It was delicious, but the cheese wasn't necessary. Then the creme brulee. It was served with little brownies and ice cream on the side. The chocolate didn't fit with the creme brulee . Overall a great restaurant. The aren't many restaurants like this. P.S: My mom said it was one of the best carpaccio she has eaten.
