Park
The Animal Park of the Pyrenees is a unique zoo built into the side of a mountain, offering visitors the chance to see both local and exotic animals in naturalistic enclosures. The park features indigenous animals cared for in their natural habitat, making it an educational experience for all ages. Visitors can enjoy encounters with marmots and birds, as well as feedings with these creatures. The park offers two paths of varying difficulty, ensuring accessibility for most visitors.
We stayed overnight in one of the lodges. What an amazing experience. The parc is very clean and tidy, with well cared for animals. It is not very easy for people with disabilities. as the paths can be very steep.

Really nice park. Lots of animals to see and a nice walk around it. Not sure about the initial exhibit of stuffed animals.
Paul H — Google review
Wery nice animal park, not very big but well planned and in good condition!
Edvards D — Google review
Amazing. Well worth a visit, in fact it is worth doing a detour just to visit this park. The displays just get better as you walk further around the park. Great range of animals to see and the keepers are really friendly and willing to share their knowledge. All the ones I spoke to had very good English too. The cafe that is half way is very good too. The only area that required a bit of effort was a steep climb to see the mountain type goats, but this path is optional. Not expensive either. I will definitely go again!

Let’s start with the bad… it was immediately clear the largest of the bears was very unhappy. He paced back and forth continuously for the visit. This is an obvious sign of stress, boredom, or unnatural confinement. The environment they’re in is actually tiny for 3 bears, it clearly does not meet their physical or mental needs. The bears looked bored to death. This was really sad to see and made me feel guilty purchasing a ticket to support this. The red panda looked equally as bored. Pacing back and forth across the fence of his cage. These were the standouts but I am sure a lot of the other animals were feeling the same way. I wouldn’t say it’s a park but more of a zoo… I think if people are to have animal parks they need to be huge with maximum space for each animal for it to be humane. To be fair, and the reason for 2 stars, it is a pretty park and a nice walk around, I can see they have made an effort with the enclosures that they do have. But for most animals it clearly isn’t enough space. I’m reading reviews about the bears dating back years ago, so they have already been pacing for years and years. I don’t know how the staff can watch that and feel ok with themselves… the cafes and the gift shop were nice and the ranges of foods and fresh smoothies were good. I hate to leave a bad review but I can’t watch unhappy animals. The first time I thought it was just because they were hungry, but I went back a second time with my husband a few days later and they were pacing in the same spots in the exact same manor. Do better, please!!!! Maybe change their habitats to keep them mentally stimulated. Or buy more land, or get rid of the animals that are depressed and send them somewhere they will have the habitats they need. 😞

Great zoo for kids and adults alike! The visit is divided into a longer path (with quite a high slope, so not recommended to people with limited mobility and very young kids-unless you go with strollers, total duration around 2 hours) and a shorter path (on a less high slope, so quite accessible to everybody, and it takes about 1.5 hours). Restaurants and toilets are both available at the entrance and inside the zoo (midway). You can feed the marmots and birds, which were really awesome. You can rent strollers at the entrance. If you plan to visit more than once within a year, take the annual pass which costs the same as two entrance fees, so it's a really good deal.
Angeline T — Google review
Awesome animal park! One of the best zoos we have been to. It isn’t very large (we stayed about 3 hours) but you have a lot of closeness and interaction with the animals. We could feed goats and have birds land on our arms. The ticket is a little on the pricy side (20 euros for adults) but it’s worth it. There is a restaurant inside and the parking is free. Also beware that when you go in, all exit of the zoo is definitive. The animals also seem to be well cared for which is great. The whole in a natural environment with mountains behind you is just cream on the top!
Nancy J — Google review
Very nice Zoo with a very great layout. You even get some great views. A lot of animals can be seen without any fences. The zoo is clean and well maintained. A reduction for bigger famalies would be a good feature. It's quite expensive.

The Parc Thermal is a stunning recreational area that is impeccably designed and maintained. It boasts a spacious layout, exceptional cleanliness, and an incredibly tranquil atmosphere, even during bustling events such as children's playtime and garage sales. It truly serves as an oasis of serenity. This beautiful park also offers the perfect vantage point to enjoy fireworks on special occasions like July 14th, creating a delightful ambiance. Additionally, it features an excellent playground for children to engage in outdoor activities.
Beautiful park. We watched the July 14th fireworks from there. Nice atmosphere and very clean. Very good playground also.

An interesting park — the day we visited, there happened to be a flea market. Since the park doesn’t have a dedicated parking lot, you’ll need to find street parking nearby.

(Translated by Google) A park that is magnificent, nestled in the middle of the mountains. A very nice playground for children, who have a blast with these games. A very nice walk to take around the park. The park is very clean and very well maintained. The water flowing in the middle of the park gives even more charm to this park. I recommend this park to entertain your children, relax and enjoy a magnificent landscape. (Original) Un parc qui est magnifique, niché au milieu des montagnes. Un très bel air de jeux pour les enfants, qui s'éclatent avec ces jeux là. Une très belle balade à faire autour du parc. Le parc est très propre et très bien entretenu. (Translated by Google) The park itself is beautiful and pleasant to visit. It's a lovely little fitness trail as well as a pleasant green setting in the middle of an urban area... But initially, we went there with my friends because there was a garage sale nearby (that's what the garage sale website advertised)... which we never found around the park because, in the end, we'd walked past it 5 minutes earlier in the center (something we found listed on another website that gave the address of the garage sale 🙃) and there were only four stalls🥲. On the other hand, the flower market, located in the city and which we visited just before, was a million times more interesting and superb!!! While I wouldn't recommend the garage sale, I would recommend the flower market without the slightest hesitation, especially since among the exhibitors there are local artisans, so you can find woodcraft, jewelry, cutlery, honey, cheese shops, etc.

The restaurant has no quality. The lunch was not the best. We asked to reservate table for the evening... the waitress said we did not have to..we could just come. We came at the evening but we was not welcome...no food for us. It was only i few people, ten at the most. We come here every year to the RACP NE. I think when there is so many people from other country is importent to have waitress that understand english. Me, our friends will not recomend this restaurant this year.

This relaxed hotel offers a variety of low-key rooms, some featuring delightful balconies, perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. Guests can enjoy modern amenities such as air-conditioning, satellite TV, and complimentary Wi-Fi in their comfortable accommodations.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here on a cycling trip to The Pyrenees. The rooms are simple but just what you need; comfy bed, great shower and a balcony. There's a garage for bike storage with tools etc which is very very secure. Half board is a superb option as the evening meals are excellent! I cannot recommend enough. I hope to return.

This place is just brilliant, especially if you're on a cycling trip. The (third-generation) owner Philippe is friendly and helpful to a fault, the rooms are nice and comfortable, the breakfasts are staggering (perfect fuel for your rides), and the bicycle locker room feels like it's made to order. We were there for 3 nights, and I'm very tempted indeed to go back next year to knock off a few more of the excellent peaks nearby.

I can’t thank Philippe and his staff enough. The Hotel is perfect for a cycling holiday. It’s very clean and everything works perfectly. The rooms are small but they have everything you need. Staff are friendly The food is fresh and tasty and with the option of the extra pasta there’s plenty to fill you up.

Exceptional family run hotel. The owner is super attentive, friendly and keen to make you feel at home. Ideal hotel for cyclists, it provides a safe dedicated room for storing the bikes, it’s possible to eat dinner at the hotel, and also laundry service is offered. We not only enjoyed our time there, but we also made good friends during our stay. The hotel is also perfectly placed for some incredible rides of the tour de france in the Pyrenees.

A group of 7 of us are just back from 5 nights here. Philippe could not have been more helpful when organising our cycling trip, helping to arrange bike hire and a taxi transfer to the airport. He continued to be friendly and helpful during our stay. The hotel is set up superbly for cycling, with secure garage, access to tools and on the doorstep of epic climbs. The food was good quality and plentiful. Air conditioned rooms with comfy beds. What more could we ask for?

Phillipe is a great manager. We made a stop during our bike tour. Special breakfast and dinner for Bikers (Carbo loading). Special storage for bikes, laundry service. All perfect !!!!

The Au Primerose is a great spot for exploring the Pyrenees. The hotel specializes in cycling but also caters to hikers (like us). Rooms are basic but comfortable and offer everything you need, and the owner is very friendly, offers excellent advice on hiking and biking trails nearby, and cares greatly about ensuring each visitor has a pleasant stay. A great deal.

We had the Moules frites, a warm goats cheese salad, a lovely bottle of rosé wine, followed by a huge homemade apple tart to share, delicious. For a campsite restaurant this takes some beating!! Fabulous 😋

We had dinner with a family of four, starters and main course. Starters were way too big but decent. Main course was dreadful: overcooked trout, completely dry chicken, undercooked entrecote, all tasteless. We decided to skip desert based on this. Would strongly advise against going here.
DoCuOrange — Google review
I ordered the Côté de bœuf to be cooked medium but it came slightly too rare for my taste and when asked to cook it a bit more, got slightly burnt. Things do happen but I’m not at all deceived. I might come back here for the great and friendly service, environment, the fried seafood platter and maybe to try other grills.

Good location for family dinner. Friendly staff, tasty food.

We had dinner here on Sunday evening. The (barbecue) meat dishes are reasonable, but the rest is of moderate quality. While the staff undoubtedly tries their best, a lot went wrong (wrong order, having to ask for things repeatedly).
