ARAMON Formigal is a premier winter sports destination in Spain, offering 137 skiable kilometers and modern facilities. It caters to professionals, free riders, and families with tobogganing and a kids' area. Visitors can rent apartments in nearby towns like Panticosa for easy access to the ski station. The resort features well-maintained ski tracks suitable for all skill levels.
I had a great experience. The ski resort is newbie friendly. Our Ski instructor Jesus is great, motivational and very helpful. I enjoy my first ski experience. ❤️ It’s also not that far from Madrid, so definitely a place I will go back to every year.
Suzette L — Google review
We had a great time is the bottom line. Reading all reviews sums it up well; it's a nice beautiful mid sized resort with lots of parking, some are free(!). The staff are nice and the prices, apart from the ski pass(!!) are reasonable, from accommodation to renting to restaurants. It is suitable for mid-level skiing/snowboarding; indeed most slopes start relatively steep and it's impossible to navigate the site with only blue ones. They do, however, keep the open slope count falsely high as some chairlifts or even slopes are in fact closed/unreachable. I came end of season so it was super nice and chill with few people, but high season here sounds a bit much. Lower the ski pass prices, be truthful about which slopes are really open&reachable and limit entrance in high season and it's a great resort. Definitely worth the visit if you're passing by, but definitely go to a French resort if you arrive by a plane anyway.
Guy M — Google review
Excellent! Massive resort perfectly organised. You can choose from different valleys and slopes. Many parking lots make everything easier. It's a must if you are visiting the Pyrenees. It's really close to the France border, if you want to visit it. Prices may vary depending on the date. Weekends are usually busier and the fort-fait is more expensive. However highly recommended.
HP J — Google review
Good ski resort, especially for beginners as most are short runs. More advanced skiers/boarders will do the full resort in 2 or 3 days. Worth it for a short visit though. Everything reasonably priced from lift pass to food. No rip offs like in France.
Sean H — Google review
This is an amazing place for skiing on the North of Spain. You can rent an apartment in one of the towns not too far from the ski station and get there by car everyday. If you stay in Panticosa, you’d be able to jump on a ski lift that will get you to one of the ski stations for where you’d be able to get to the hills. Ski tracks are perfect as for beginners and for advanced skiers. There is canteen and few places to eat or have a drink on the hills. If you are traveling with a kid, there’s a kindergarten that will take care of your kid and even teach him how to ski in Anayet. I would definitely recommend this place for families, for those who are skiing with kids and not, basically for everyone. And we would definitely come back!
Kamilya I — Google review
I really appreciate the truth, here you won’t have those ones. They provide fake open slopes, they open slopes with no lifts to reach there to increase the kilometres of ski opened, they charge you the same price despite they have only 3 lifts open and less snow that my refrigerator. Go to the alps if possible, don’t waste money
Tomás T — Google review
We go every year during Feb... Semana Blanca. Great place with many pistas de ski for all levels
Tony F — Google review
Amazing place to enjoy the snow. Quite easy to get there driving. Very large parking lot and easy to access and stay. There are few places to take some appetizers, finger food and drinks. The Ski is good enough and you also can take some clases in advance if you take a ticket for it.

We showed up at 2pm (right on time for Spain) nice outside tables and food.looked ok all the people around us got clean tables ... Got served ... Etc. Most arrived WELL after us . We have travelled extensively in Spain and rarely have this issue ok almost never ...we speak Spanish through a translator, admittedly. However he food was mostly not good after everyone around us was served except us we finally went in and ordered from the bar. Mostly microwaved prepared food. Potato tart was ok and beer was cold. Those are the good things I can say. If you are not Spanish expect to be treated less than others on purpose.

Had an excellent meal today. 3 course set meal, but but still plenty of choices. Nothing fancy, good portions, well-presented, good service. Euros 14,- incl wine. Worth another visit when in the area.

They were serving food when we arrive but at the time they have cleaned the table us to be seating they close the kitchen. They cold said before and not let us wait. At the end we had to order for the cold plates, croquetas and a pintxo de tortilla and we're really bad, actually disgusting.

The Gran Pic restaurant in Sallent is an exceptional dining experience. The service, decor, atmosphere, and cuisine all exceeded expectations. Catering to a group of eight adults, the menu offered a variety of enticing options. With 3-4 appetizers, 2 main courses, 2 desserts, and wine for under $50, the shared meal was simply perfect. The food quality was outstanding; the meat was flawlessly prepared and of excellent grade.
Again a very nice experience in this little village of sallent. Don't hesitate a second to book a table there. The food is amazing, waitress are speaking English and a bit of French as well! Everything was perfect from start to the end!

This restaurant is a must go to in Lanuza. Everything we ordered was delicious! I don’t eat meat, but I was extremely pleased with the bravas; tartar of tomato, watermelon and burrata; and vegetables with purée of eggplant. My boyfriend got the beef stew with mushrooms and loved it as well.

Simply perfect. We had dinner a group of 8 adults and everything was above our expectations. The service, the decoration, the ambience and the food. We shared all the food with 3-4 entrees, 2 main dishes, 2 deserts and wine costing under $50. Was so good we even purchased an additional cheesecake to take away, which is as of today the best cheesecake I have ever tasted. The meat was perfectly cooked and also good quality. Definitely a discovery that we will visit again anytime we come back to Sallent.

This is one of those places I am never going to forget - it was just that spectacular. I tried the tomato salad (oh my god the tomatoes!), the beef sweetbreads (juicy, crispy deliciousness), the croquettes and the brioche (don't ask - just order this) and one "flavour highlight" chased the next. Service was incredibly helpful, guided me through the menu as well as off-menu items and patiently answered all my inquiries. After the starters, I finished with the best paletilla I have ever had the pleasure of eating - it was just a dream. Go there, eat the lamb, be in heaven! Update: Came back a year later. Still the best lamb shoulder in the world. To boot, the brioche with pulled beef and lime is also stellar, and the carilleras are very nice as well. A surprising additional highlight was the roasted pimientos with the lamb. Perfectly succulent and slightly sweet!

Eat here! Stopped here for lunch on our way from Alquezar, Spain to Verteuil-sur-Charente, France. Had A Brie and truffle Spanish omelette, coca bread with tomato, mushroom risotto with ham.
