Castles
Rheinfels Castle, dating back to the 13th century, is the largest and one of the most enchanting castles along the River Rhine. Despite being mostly in ruins, it offers a captivating experience with its tall gate tower, remnants of apartments, and cellar. The former castle chapel now houses a museum that delves into its rich history. Visitors can enjoy a short hike from the river to explore medieval artifacts and take in stunning views from the watchtower.
This was a great castle to view, because unlike many of the restore castles, this one is more in its original state. It had some very fascinating areas to explore with great views of vineyards and the river. And the museum area has a lot of beautiful artifacts that are very interesting as well. Definitely worth the visit.
Dale S — Google review
Nice castle but we hiked to ones that were better with no cost or minimal cost . Unfortunately it was under construction which is understandable but took away from the experience and some sections were blocked off. The museum was closed for 1 hour for a theatre show so we waited a while but felt we didn’t want to wait anymore. We thought it was over hyped in our opinion with the high reviews! It is hard not to get spoiled with so many castles around!
Heather M — Google review
The views are delightful, and the room inside is pleasantly cool in hot summer. Guide with all details: ⏱️ you’ll need about an hour to see everything 🍽️ to eat, it's best to eat at the port, as the nearby restaurant has a low rating and tends to be overpriced 🚌 getting in and out from the castle, the public bus is the most convenient option-just a quick 7-minute ride (departs xx:07 & xx:37 every hour from the castle) 🚶‍♂️there are also steps available if you prefer a more scenic route on the way up 💶 6 per adult / 4 child, no need to book in advance 🚢 if you are on a ship ride - you need 2 hours between arrival and departure 🍦take in the port on the way up or down
Vasya K — Google review
Burg Rheinfels is a great ruin castle to explore. I had fun learning about what it would have been used for and how all the rooms would have looked. The grounds can be uneven to walk and there are stairs. There are toilets available and a nice gift shop.
Vanessa B — Google review
An amazing ruin. Great entry price and we were free to walk around even though lots of maintenance happening. Definitely worth a visit.
Dawn P — Google review
It was great experience to visit the castle (mostly ruined) and have an insight of what happened here during medieval era and after French war. There are several things you can see like the Europe’s largest cold store and beautiful view of Rhine valley at the top. It is mostly under construction due to repair work going on.
Ranjit S — Google review
You can visit only few parts of the castle as it is under major renovation. What is really a must, if the weather isn't rainy, is the restaurant. The view from the terrace is simply astonishing!

Great fun explore this ruined castle. Lovely little museum. Tunnels were closed for bat roosting but still a nice visit.

The Deutsches Puppen- und Bärenmuseum, or the German Dolls and Bears Museum, is a delightful destination for families seeking a whimsical experience. Spanning three floors, this charming museum showcases an extensive collection of dolls, soft toys, and puppets from around the globe. Visitors are particularly enchanted by the intricately designed dollhouses that feature beautifully arranged kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms—each telling its own story.
(Translated by Google) Nicely done. For older people, it brings back childhood memories. 3 floors full of dolls, bears, figures, furniture... amazing. I often come here with my daughter and we always discover something new. Filming and photography prohibited. Downstairs a small toy shop. (Original) Schön gemacht. Bei älteren Menschen weckt Kindererinerungen auf. 3 Stockwerke voll mit Puppen, Bären, Figuren, Möbeln... Wahnsin. Bin oft mit meiner Tochter hier und man entdeckt immer wieder was neues. People, a must see in St. Goar, and the lady who runs it alone is no nice and sweet, please enter here and see her collection, only 3,5 euro entrance, only downside is no photography. Otherwise 5 stars, now only 4.

(Translated by Google) On three floors you feel completely transported back in time. You almost feel like you are traveling back in time to your own or your parents' youth when you walk through the different rooms and exhibitions. There is a lot of passion and attention to detail here. It's certainly worth a visit for anyone interested, but everyone else will definitely find something or other here too. (Translated by Google) Dolls, dollhouses, bears and other toys are lovingly presented. It just seems a bit crowded in some places. The only thing the museum doesn't have is air conditioning, which makes visiting it a torture on hot summer days. One star point deducted for that. I deducted the other point for the strict ban on photography.
Helga W — Google review
(Translated by Google) The ravages of time have already taken their toll. Unfortunately, the small rooms are far too crowded and poorly lit. The concept of the house no longer corresponds to today's standards and current viewing habits. Many things cannot be seen by small children because they are too high up or hidden behind glass. The pedagogical treatment of the doll story is more than archaic. Yellowed typewriter paper behind thin panes of glass is evidence of a forgotten time. Here we would have to renew the concept and put one or two things straight and in the right light. It's a shame, because one or two treasures can be found among the various toys.

Embark on the Rhine Castles Trail, a picturesque hiking area in the Middle Rhine Valley offering forested paths with stunning views of the Rhine River and its charming towns. The trail is short but challenging, providing breathtaking vistas for those who are sure-footed and not afraid of heights. While some find it a bit monotonous compared to other hikes, others consider it an epic adventure with varied terrain.
Beautiful hiking trail on the side of the hills. From here you get a fantastic view of the river and the small town of St. Goar. From these trails you can make your way up to a few small towns or the Rheinfels castle.

(Translated by Google) Short but very beautiful stage. So far I found it the most beautiful of all the stages. The panoramic mountain trail in particular with its many views and rest areas is a highlight, a hiking trail for connoisseurs. The sculpture path, which I chose instead of the Oelsbergsteig (climbing passage for those with a head for heights), is also beautiful. A very special highlight at the end of the tour is the Günderode House with freshly prepared snacks and the view of the Seven Virgins. Afterwards, without the RBW, you can descend directly into the medieval town of Oberwesel via the Weinbergsweg with a great view of the Rhine. Recommended tour! TIP: At the beginning of the tour there is a section that not everyone can walk. You have to have a head for heights to do this. Walk back a bit towards Rheinfels Castle at the same height. A well-paved serpentine path leads up from this path. Then always keep left. You automatically come back to the RBW. Dann immer links halten. Man kommt automatisch wieder auf den RBW.

Location, location! Just meters from ferry, tour boats and train. Many rooms and dining area have castle and water views. This is an old guesthouse but it was very clean. The room was dated but very big and comfortable. If you book directly with the guesthouse you get a very large continental breakfast included. For the region I thought it was good value and I would stay again. However it was a rainy evening and we decided to dine at the hotel. Very basic and reasonable brat and schnitzel options. While my husband liked his dish my vegetarian option was 18.90 euro and everything on the plate was out of the freezer. I would not eat dinner again.

We stopped in St. Goar on our tour through the Rhein as it looked like a pretty town. We chose this restaurant to have lunch and sat outside. A man took our order. Our drinks came. Then, after a short wait, our meal arrived. We had to ask for cutlery. The young lad disappeared inside. We found the cutlery ourselves on a console table! After starting our meal, as we didn't want it to get cold, the lad reappeared with some cutlery. He looked annoyed that we had already got our own! The meal was okay. Nothing special. After nearly finishing my meal, I managed to grap the attention of the waiter who had taken our order and explain to him that the salad that was meant to accompany my schnitzel and chips never arrived. He offered to get it, but I said no need as I had nearly finished eating! We asked for the bill. The bill arrived. We then had to wait for the man to appear again so we could pay. He promptly told us that only cash payment was accepted. I told him it would have been very helpful if this was explained to customers before they ordered! He was very unfriendly and implied he did not have the time and that it says so in the menu. I replied that I did not see it written anywhere, and so this was really not acceptable. He didn't seem to care. Luckily we had some cash and so paid. Two Americans overheard our conversation and got up to leave, telling the waiter they did not have any cash on them! If this is the hotels stance on only wanting to accept cash, may I kindly (!) suggest to them that they have a small sign on each table saying 'Cash Only' ... and not written just in German! If places rely on tourist trade, then I'm afraid they need to make people feel welcome and do whatever they can to improve the customer experience at their establishment. Otherwise, in this day and age, with on-line reviews and business can soon go downhill! I hope this particular restaurant reads my comments and takes on board my suggestion! Also, some staff training on how to deal with customers wouldn't go a miss.

The setting was very nice. The service was fast but the server seemed overwhelmed. The salad was extremely tasty and flavorable. The schnitzel and fries were not seasoned at all. It would be nice to visit again during another time.

Some of the food was pretty good. The flammenkuchen was clearly a frozen pre packed one. But the soup and the salads were good. The service was excellent. I think we got overcharged a bit though, so double check the prices or confirm whether they are charging extra for service or for sitting outside maybe.
Eric G — Google review
A server should never tell the customer they must tip. The tip is earned with good service. They stamp “service not included” on the bill. This is misleading as service is included. An additional tip is not obligatory as the waiter tried to tell me. This place benefits from a great location and doesn’t try very hard otherwise. Could be so much better.

We came on a Monday evening for supper at the restaurant. There was a menu posted outside that we quickly scanned. We sat outside and enjoyed a view of the river. Considerable time passed before a waiter arrived. We only spoke English and asked for a menu. The waiter ignored us and explained that they were serving Wiener schnitzel tonight. We asked about other items but he repeated that they were serving schnitzel so 4 people order schnitzel and 1 person explained that they were vegetarian and he suggested a salad. We also ordered beer and wine at the same time and then we waited a long time. The beer and wine was delivered and again we waited a very long time. We had friends at another table who had arrived moments before us and they had the same experience with schnitzel except we got our food before they did and we suspected that our food was probably their order so they waited an additional considerable time to get their food. They did get a complimentary round of drinks for the mix up. In summary, we were very hungry that day because we had cycled to St Goar in extreme heat. The ordering process was very frustrating. The schnitzel was average however the salad was quite good but arrived after the schnitzel. The schnitzel was the most expensive dish on the outdoor menu at 18.50€ and the waiter seemed to imply that they only had schnitzel tonight. The wait times were very long. It’s likely that staffing is an issue at the restaurant.

A long overdue review. I grew up my entire life hearing about this hotel, as it once belonged to my grandmother’s family. There were lots of magical expectations from me going into my visit, and I absolutely can say the new owners and current condition did not disappoint. When I told the current owners about my grandmother, the next morning I was greeted downstairs with all the old books and pieces of history from the hotel they had. On top of that, when I asked them how to get flowers for my great grandfather and mothers grave, they cut flowers off of their very own hotel wall for me! This gesture holds such a dear place in my heart, and brought so much joy to my grandmother. The room was beautiful and clean. The view of the Rhine was absolutely breath taking. The food was tasty and filling and the decor inside was aesthetic and authentic feeling. I firmly believe, even without the family connection, this hotel is worth every cent and makes Sankt Goar feel even more magical and ethereal than it already is.

We had an amazing time staying at this beautiful little historic hotel! The gentleman who runs the hotel is super friendly and the customer service was 10/10. I loved the experience of staying at a small, individually owned hotel compared to a big chain hotel. Additionally, our room was bright and clean and had a beautiful view onto the Rhine River and Katz Castle. It's only a few minutes walk to the ferry that will take you across the water where you can then head to the famous Loreley lookout. We had a wonderful experience here and would definitely stay again!

Located in Sankt Goar, Germany, Alla Fontana is a popular Italian restaurant known for its delicious pizza and amazing pasta. Visitors rave about the authentic Italian flavors and fresh ingredients used in their dishes. The cozy atmosphere and prompt service make it a gem for tourists looking for an affordable departure from typical fare offered in the area. Whether you're craving pizza or pasta, Alla Fontana is highly recommended for a delightful dining experience reminiscent of Italy.
Some of the best wood fired pizza we’ve enjoyed in Europe! Cozy restaurant and kind, fast service! Highly recommended!

Good food, the pizza was especially delicious. Reservation is highly recommended given that town has like only couple of good restaurants. This one is one of them. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

Cosy little place with fab food in Sankt Goar!!! Taste was as close to authentic Italian as we could get... especially the pizza! The pasta and Tiramisu was delicious too... please save some space for dessert when here! We tried their vegetarian options for dinner and loved them so much that we visited them again for lunch the next day. Reservation highly recommended especially for dinner time. PS: the place takes only cash payments, so carry some along if you wish to dine here ;)

Finding places like this is why I like to avoid the highway when travelling. The pizza is delicious, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the prices are very reasonable. I had a good time and can gladly recommend it.
Jean-Pierre H — Google review
They wanted us to stay in the direct sunlight. The restaurant was empty, but they wouldn't let us move the table 8 inches to get out of the sun. They refused to serve us pizza, but forced us to chug our beers at €6 a pop and leave. I asked if they could recommend other pizza joints and they could not. I can fully recommend Goar Bistro 200m away. Their food, atmosphere, and service is 10/10. Near the river and they accommodated our request for an umbrella from the sun. Do not go to alla Fontana. Terrible service, bad atmosphere and who knows about the food. Good times can be found 200m away at Goar Bistro. Other reviews refer to their cozy atmosphere, but what that really means is the alleyway near the trash dumpsters.
Michael B — Google review
The pizza was good, but the pasta was amazing. Probably the best I've had outside of Italy. The chianti wine was very good as well. If you come here which I highly recommend get either the pasta or a pasta and pizza like my wife and I did. I will say however if you are like use, we will both get pasta since it really is over the top next time.

I called them few times to asked if they can do a surprise delivery to my boyfriend who was in the city for one night. They agreed, we talked 3 times during the day and at the end they didn’t deliver the pizza and didn’t even call me to let me know. Very unprofessional.

The pictures do not do it justice, pizza is doughy, pasta is over priced for boxed nodules and lackluster sauce. Not worth the stop if you have had Italian food anywhere else.

German restaurant
Restaurant 'zur Krone' in St. Goar offers a menu featuring typical European dishes, including delicious vegetarian options. After your meal, you can relax at the bar with a choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. The restaurant serves hearty German cuisine and tasty sides such as potatoes and salads. Located near Rheinfels Castle, this establishment also provides a picturesque setting for dining.
It was such a great experience. We got a really nice corner spot and our infant got a comfortable baby chair to sit in. Food was really delicious. Both the schnitzels were fantastic and seasoned well. Our only gripe was that we forgot to ask for baked potatoes instead of fries which was btw nicely seasoned too. We picked a sweet Riesling which was pretty good as well. We asked for a bowl of fries for the baby which they didn't end up eating and later we noticed that we weren't even charged for it. It was a kind gesture on their part. We were felt very welcomed. Also the interior was charming and cozy. I would recommend this place highly for your visit to Sankt Goar, just make sure to book in advance.

Dining options were limited in St. Goar, but thankfully Gasthaus zur Krone was open. As expected on a Sunday night in mid December , it was very quiet. I enjoyed a refreshing beer with thinly sliced cold-smoked salmon and a perfectly baked potato. The salmon was delicious and not overly salty, which can sometimes be an issue. While the food was great, the atmosphere was understandably subdued. Service was friendly and efficient, though it was clear that the restaurant wasn't experiencing its usual bustle. Clean restroom, which is always a plus!

A nice spot, full of locals when we visited, with a cozy atmosphere and friendly, attentive service. The food is good—nothing particularly special—but portions are generous for the price. They were also welcoming to our dog, which was a big plus. I’d recommend it if you want to enjoy the local village vibe and explore a good variety of local wines.

The vegan food we had was very tasty. Initially, we had to wait quite some time until we were recognized at all, but afterwards the service was very quick, albeit a bit harsh towards other customers. Not my kind of furniture stylistically but it does its job well enough. A 4.5 if that rating was possible.
Peter L — Google review
The staff is super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. My wife meal was five stars. I got the Jägerschnitzel which is one of my favorites. The schnitzel itself was super, but the gravy was first off only half as much as should have been on there and secondly it was quite bland and disappointing. Everything else we had her was fantastic. I probably would have rated five stars of I would have gotten the same meal as my wife. Definitely come try it out!!

Highly recommend if you come to the region. It’s a bit away from the waterfront but worth the extra steps. The ambience is excellent and very traditional. You bought your ticket in a kiosk. We visited this track in June 2023. It was a perfect time to visit because it was just before the German schools had their summer break so there was almost no queue. The track went down a grass covered hill in an open area so you had a great view. They had sleds for one person and sleds for two person’s. We rode individual sleds, we were not allowed to go together. There is a camera halfway down the slop which takes your picture so you can buy them as a memory at the kiosk. You can see your speed on the photo as well! We maxed out at 38km/h. The guy that helped you get on was friendly and nice, telling us about the history of the place. It felt very safe to use the ride.

A really good ride! When you get into the toboggan the employees expained everything very clearly. The safety instructions are explained (in English or German) and there is a big poster up on the wall which clears things up too. Important to remember that the ride is still safe even if you don't break until right at the end - you only have to break at corners if it makes you feel more comfortable. The ride is long and you go quite fast - definitly enough to get an adrenaline rush!

We are a family of four with a 5 and a 3 year-old kiddo. Really enjoy the thrill of the Rodelbahn as well as the nearby Spielplatz. Not forgetting to mention there's a nice and cozy restaurant which attached with a museum. We walked along the pavement and were greeted with jaw-dropping scenery of Loreley valley. Very convenient and nice place to spend a day well here.

Must go spot for kids. It’s located on the Loreley hills and surrounded by beautiful nature. Time to run and scream! (It’s about 700m long and pretty fast even for adults. 30-35km/h) after enjoying this amazing ‘Rodelbahn’ bring your children to the playground just next to it or take a walk to Loreley view points over the Rhein. If you plan to stay for couple of hours, bring your own snack or food & drinks since there is no ‘ok’ snack bar or restaurant around.

Went for a Sunday brunch with family to celebrate a birthday. The breakfast was good, plentiful with a variety of cold cuts, sausage, cheese, eggs, wild salmon, jam, spreads, some fruits and crunchy buns and croissants and a glass of sparkling wine to start off. Everything to order more if finished for 21, 50 € per person. The restaurant is cozy and spacious and the view can't be beat! The outdoor seating offers you an even closer view over the hills and landscape surrounding the 'Loreley'. Overall a great experience. Would highly recommend the place 👌

Nice view but that's all. Very limited menu, all meat (even salad is a sausage salad). The asparagus soup sounded nice but we were told it was only available after 6pm, with no indication of that on the menu. Service was short lipped and borderline rude. Left and took our money elsewhere.

(Translated by Google) The castle is beautiful to look at, whether from below on the banks of the Rhine or directly in front of it, but unfortunately it's privately owned, and tours are therefore not permitted. The approximately 1km climb up a private road, blocked by a barrier and indicated by a sign, enter at your own risk, is beautiful, but not really worth it, because once you reach the top of the castle, you find yourself in front of closed gates. The views over the Rhine Valley make up for the disappointment.

(Translated by Google) A beautiful, neglected castle... Yes, it looks so incredibly magnificent from a distance, and just like the many other toll castles along the Rhine, it has a very moving history behind it. Although its history is perhaps even more dramatic than the others, because Katz Castle, built around 1360 by the Counts of Katzenelnbogen, even survived the Sun King Louis XIV and was only finally destroyed by Napoleon Bonaparte in 1806. What you see today, however, bears little resemblance to its visual appearance from that time, but rather corresponds to the romantic idea of the Middle Ages of a Cologne architectural firm at the end of the 19th century, which had the castle converted into a residence in keeping with the taste of the time. And as if that weren't depressing enough, it's now privately owned – which in itself isn't a bad thing, as long as you treat cultural assets with care and make at least parts of them accessible to the public – something that unfortunately isn't done with many of these wonderful witnesses to history – like Schaumburg Castle in Balduinstein. It used to be said that "nobleness obliges," because with ownership comes responsibility. Unfortunately, things often look different today, especially since Katz Castle was originally supposed to be converted into a hotel. But those plans are almost 40 years old now and are unlikely to come to fruition.

Loreley is a renowned restaurant located near the legendary Loreley rock, offering a fantastic panoramic view of the Rhine River and serving guests from around the world since 1928. It is a popular lunch spot for tourists on river cruises, with clean surroundings and fast service. The homemade food is delivered quickly at fair prices, making it an excellent choice for bikers with ample parking space in one of Germany's most beautiful motorcycle areas.
A cozy restaurant by the Rhine River. A popular lunch stop for tourists coming to this town for the river cruise. The second floor offers a scenic view of the river and the mountainside on the opposite bank. The restaurant is clean, the service is fast and the food is good. However, it would be nice if a complimentary glass of plain water is offered with the meal order. Recommendable.

A very pleasant stop. Typical German food. Lunch was traditional German pork knuckle with French fries and an extra salad. Also German Sausage and German beer. Priced at 19.90 + 12.90 + Beer. Excellent view of the Rin River and the village of Lolerey.

The food was so-so. It depends from what you get. There were some homemade stuff probably but oter tasted like from a package. What I liked is that the staff was really police and when I said it wasn't so good they kindly suggested some ice cream or coffee. The wine had sweet and really light taste, which i enjoyed the best from the lunch.

The Keutmann hotel is a serene and charming riverfront establishment that offers comfortable rooms with balconies. It features a restaurant with an outdoor seating area, providing guests with the opportunity to enjoy their meals while taking in the beautiful view of the Rhine river. The food at this establishment is of exceptional quality, both for dinner and breakfast, making it a popular choice among visitors. The reasonable prices offered by the hotel make it good value for money.
I had a fantastic lunch at this German spot with stunning views and excellent service. The bratwurst sausage was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and paired with crispy, golden french fries. The server spoke some English, translating the menu was a breeze. They accept both cash and card, making payment easy. The view was incredible, overlooking mountains with grape farmers, scenic trains passing by, and a nearby river where you could hear the gentle sound of water as people kayaked. The serene atmosphere, delicious food, and reasonable prices made for an experience. Definitely recommend.

I loved it. It was a long weekend and rooms were hard to find but I lucked out here. From the staircase I wasn't expecting to be impressed by my room but it was newly well-renovated and very pleasant. Quite small, but then it was a single. The terrace restaurant was a nice place to be on a warm evening.

Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Rhine, St. Goar Imbiss has been a beloved culinary stop for over 50 years, with its original founders still at the helm. Since its opening in 1966, this charming eatery has become a favored gathering spot for cyclists, motorists, and pedestrians alike. Despite challenges like reduced traffic from the nearby A61 highway construction, it remains a vibrant hub where visitors can savor delicious snacks while soaking in stunning river views.
A friend brought me here, as the food is supposed to be very good. I wasn't disappointed, it's exceptional. The service and view of the Rhine is excellent too. I really recommend the Spießbraten und the very tasty chips. Back to Australia now.

Pfalzgrafenstein Castle, located in the middle of the Rhine river, served as a toll station for the princes along the Rhine. The castle features a 5-sided tower and white walls and offers tours led by costumed guides. It collected tolls from passing boats in conjunction with nearby Gutenfels Castle and the town of Kaub. Visitors can take a tour to explore its historical significance or admire it from afar while passing by on a ferry.

Fantastic toll castle in the middle of the Rhein. You have to take a very short boar trip to get here. After that, buy tickets inside the casyle and you are free to explore. The castle is in good condition, although it gets flooded by the Rhein on occasions. Nearby is a ferry, so you can always come from the other side of the Rhein to Kaub.

Biergarten am Pegelhaus is a charming riverside restaurant located in Koblenz, offering breathtaking views and a delightful dining ambiance. The establishment provides ample indoor and outdoor seating with stunning vistas of the Rhine, Pfalzgrafenstein monument, and Gutenfels castle. Visitors can enjoy a good selection of German cuisine, drinks, and homemade cakes while taking in the picturesque surroundings.
We came to visit Pfalzgrafenstein today on a September 2022 weekday afternoon, and afterwords Decided to drop here as we were parked in the lot immediately adjacent to the restaurant. We were very happy we did! There is ample (covered) outdoor and indoor seating, with great views of the Rhine and the neighboring monument and Gutenfels castle, a paid public bathroom and paid parking lot right outside the restaurant, and a good selection of food, drinks and ice cream. prices were reasonable, €18 for four ice cream cones and two glasses of wine. We spent about an hour and a half here and our small children loved playing in the outdoor patio, thankfully where they were only a few other guests that were seated far away. There is a brush/fenced barrier between the patio and the road, which is great given the busyness of the road.

Terrible service. It took very long even to order our food. Staff seem confused with very poor communication. (Translated by Google) The name promises more than it is. However, the observation tower allows a very nice all-round view! The refuge is very spacious and looks quite new. However, as is often the case with such facilities in Germany, it shows the first signs of vandalism. I don't understand why this is so common in Germany. In the USA, for example, this does not exist at all. The friendly owner and staff create a welcoming atmosphere, and customers appreciate the option to have their purchases shipped home with the added bonus of a free bottle to offset shipping costs.
Stefan is a master of customer service and hospitality. His wines and branded, cuckoo clocks, crystal, Christmas decorations and other German staples make his store a one-stop power shop. Thank you Stefan and team for your kindness and many blessings to you 😊

So affordable, it was unbelievable. They ship internationally; exceptionally affordable. Their prices are as amazing as their product tastes!! ALL 5 Stars ✨️✨️ seven times over ... no joke!!!

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Stefan’s shop two years ago and discovered an absolute treasure. Stefan has such an understanding of his product and his customers and generously shares samples so you can find the right flavor. I bought one bottle of the clear chocolate brandy and it was a hit at all parties. We returned to Germany two years later and made a specific detour to visit Stefan’s shop and he remembered us from two years ago. This time, we got the white chocolate, peach, and rhubarb brandies and they were outstanding. There truly is nothing like it in the US. Normally when traveling, I don’t like staying in shops too long so I can see and do more, but I don’t regret any time spent at Stefan’s listening to him talk about his process and passion for his brandies and wines. His customers service and hospitality is top notch and his positivity and outlook on life is infectious. He has really generous combo packages and international shipping too. Stefan, you were one of the brightest spots of our tour around Germany!

Stefan was very kind and helpful! He let us do a walk in wine tasting and it was the best wine and fruit brandies I have ever tasted. Goar – Bistro-Restaurant-Cafè offers a delightful dining experience with a great location by the Rhine, providing an ideal setting for outdoor lunch on a sunny day. Food was fine, pretty decent in comparison to the other "German" restaurants. Great fries and the schnitzel was pretty good.

Solid place for lunch, but nothing special. The service was terrible. The server motioned us to an empty table and then never came back with menus. We waited a solid 10 minutes before the table next to us saw us trying to wave down a server to get a menu, and kindly gave us theirs. We got the chicken and tuna salads with beer and Black Forest juice. Drinks were good, but the salads were ok. My salad had so much mayo dressing that I couldn't eat half of the salad. It was drowning in dressing and the leaves were wilted. The location outside is great at least. Nice weather to sit outside and watch the activity on the river.
Cara M — Google review
Everything was perfect, from the wine to the food and the restrooms were cozy.

Great location and experience, having lunch outdoors next to the Rhine on a summer day. The pizzas were delectable. The pasta arrabiata was my wife's favorite dish at the table. I had the "Fantasia Salad," and...it was weird to my U.S. tastes. It was a mixture of tastes that wasn't exactly BAD...but not something I'd order again. All the ingredients by themselves were top quality and fresh as heck, though. And, the local wines being served were stellar...just amazing.

My and I enjoyed our stay here. We ate off their menu and tried various local wines. The staff was very friendly. The wall decor all tells about the place and local area. A very nice hotel! We only stayed for one night but our first impressions were very good. Good, friendly staff and a nice room. It's location is also good. The station, river and nice viewing spots are close by. You can easily get there with the car and lots of ferry's around in the area. Dinner and breakfast were great! Good kitchen and affordable! We haven't bumped up to any negative things, only one exception: sometimes it looks like the trains are driving inside the hallway but that's because the train is near by. We easily got used to it! All the other hotels are suffering from the same problem and there is nothing they can do about it. Not their fault. We will be back for another stay at this beautiful hotel!!
Stevie Z — Google review
My partner and I stayed in this hotel over the Easter break. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Rheinsteig, allowing us easy access to the walking trail. The hotel is 3 minute walk from the station, boat trips and ferry. As in many other reviews I read the food is excellent. We had 3 very tasty dinners and simple but perfectly adequate breakfasts here. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and of a good size. The only drawback is that the railway line is directly behind the hotel. However, most hotels in the Rhein valley are in the same situation. Despite the trains we had 3 good nights of sleep. I assume the daily hike, copious evening meal and Ruedesheimer Kaffee for dessert helped :)

(Translated by Google) We stayed at the Hotel Nassauer Hof St. Goarshausen for one night for a concert. We received a friendly welcome, and the staff at breakfast were also friendly. The room was very simple and very clean. ! However, the breakfast buffet was a bitter disappointment. After previous positive reviews, we were very shocked by the moldy toast, dried-out cheese, watery coffee, and lukewarm tea. The hotel is okay for one night, especially for people who don't have high expectations, are just passing through, or skip breakfast. However, the price (surcharge for the concert) doesn't match the service provided!

(Translated by Google) Good and adequate for one night. Friendly service and a hearty breakfast. Due to dogs, it's not suitable for those allergic to pet hair. Typical Rhine railway noise is unavoidable. (Original) Gut und ausreichend für eine Nacht. Netter Service und reichhaltiges Frühstück. Wegen Hunden nicht für Tierhaar-Alergiker geeignet. Rheintypisch Bahngeräusche unvermeidlich.

Ate here for lunch when travelling along the Rhine. Waitress friendly and helpful in accommodating our dietary requirements. Drinks were delicious! Great view of the river while eating outside. Cute little gift shop!

Wonderful hotel run by great hosts in a quiet part of Sankt Goar right in front of the Loreley. The rooms were large and comfy and both the breakfast and the restaurant for dinner were excellent. We travelled with our dog and they were very accommodating of travelers with pets. Highly recommend if you are looking for a nice place to stay along the Rhine.

Wonderful. Great rooms. Spacious and well kept. Amazing staff. So friendly. Fantastic breakfast. Great wine and great dinner. Perfect place to stay. 15 min walk to the tourist shops where they sell tea towels etc. Less to the river entrance. Great views of the river from the hotel.

Nice little town on Rhine River with a lot of history. Off season is very slow, not much open but this hotel still charges full top dollar prices for tiny rooms. The prices in the restaurant are also high. You can stay and dine at nicer places cheaper.

This Hotel has the best food anywhere on the Rhein river. Service is great and friendly at a decent price. As with any hotel along the river dealing with railroad, street and river commerce traffic has it's drawbacks but if your exhausted from traveling all day noise won't matter. No Vegas style hotel here, this is a typical old fashion European hotel. Great for a short one or two night stay centrally located between the cities of Koblenz and Bingen directly on the river.
