Zip World Llechwedd is a popular tourist attraction that offers a variety of exciting activities. Visitors can explore an ancient rock quarry through underground mine tours, workshops, and history exhibits. The site also features on-site dining options for guests to enjoy. For those seeking more adventurous experiences, Bounce Below offers huge trampolines and nets set in a former slate mine.
We did 2 activities, Titan and Deep Mine experience, both were fabulous for different reasons. Titan gave an 8 year old the thrill and he loved every minute. The Deep Mine Tour was enjoyable and informative for 3 generations. Greg our guide, was friendly, engaging and catered for all ages, he was also showed patience and went at the slowest persons speed. The tour gave an insight on how the Mine used to be and the screen shows were particularly interesting. Greg was full of knowledge and willingly answered questions and included the group as much as possible. I would highly recommend going to Zip World as it caters for all ages and has something for everyone. Thanks again Greg for making our tour so enjoyable.

Super fun! Did both the deep mine tour (excellent guide even though it was a large group) and the Caverns. Just be sure to wear water proof clothing and good grip shoes. The deep tour was excellent and our guide was super informational. The caverns was not what I expected at all, very tough, very scary, such a thrill!!
Ar A — Google review
Recently visited here on my first solo holiday and booked to do the deep mine tour. Pre booked parking so getting in and parking was easy. There was a very long queue to get checked in but granted it was the summer holidays so this was to be expected. The lady that guided the tour was lovely (didn’t catch her name unfortunately but she had reddish hair) and even recommended a local walk for me to do after my visit to Zip World.. which I did and it was beautiful! Highly recommend.
Lacy W — Google review
We had so much fun, all the staff were amazing. First we did Titan and I had a little wobble but the team were brilliant, without making a fuss they reassured me and I am glad I did it. The next day we did the deep tour mine, I wish I’d got the tour guides name cause he was brilliant! (Longer hair, beard) we’ve done a few tours and he really knew his stuff and we both really enjoyed it. He didn’t rush me when I was taking a little longer to go down the stairs and chatted away with us throughout. Absolutely recommend any activities here and we can’t wait to come back and try something else. The soya decaf coffee was also amazing which as you can imagine isn’t always the case!
Gemma M — Google review
Absolutely amazing family experience. Autistic son loved the zip line and the bounce below. Highly recommend to anyone. Will be back to do more of their experiences.
Roy B — Google review
We went on the mine tour and we all came away very impressed. Very modern and effective tour with a mix of technology and knowledgeable tour guides. Much better than other mine tours we've been on where you listen to a device as you walk around.
Chris W — Google review
5 stars for the Titan zip line and underground golf. We went as a group and had such a great time. You do have to pay for parking now and most of the adventures are expensive but worth the adrenaline rush. Easy to travel to with amazing views all around of the mountains and the slate mine. Dogs welcome but they can't go down the mine or up to where the zip line is.
Sophie G — Google review
Amazing, adrenaline fuelled, friendly staff and beautiful scenery. Vending machine was asking £6 for an oasis drink plus 89p service charge! More reasonable prices at the cafe. Lots of space to picnic and onsite pizza restaurant. Not really enough staff to approach to ask random questions unless you queue up at the entry again. Memories made and all had a great day zip lining, with ages from 12 - 75 in our group of 8 people and deep cave exploration.

On a cold, windy and rainy day, this miniature golf course proved to be the perfect place to entertain young children for a few hours. The owner was welcoming, helpful and friendly, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Despite everything being compactly arranged, it added to the charm of the place. There were numerous tracks resembling Scalextric and plenty of slot car memorabilia. Additionally, there was mini crazy golf and an indoor-outdoor railway. The homemade feel of the course only enhanced its appeal.
Way more than a miniature golf course! Models are amazing, lots of love has been put into them, and they have all been on the track or in the air! Slot racing on the electric track is a lot of fun, and the electric train is awesome!

Amazing place. So much love time and effort all in one place!!! Mike the owner is a great guy, made us feel so welcome!! Open sat and Sunday till Easter holiday , then opened 6 days a week , closed mondays except bank holidays. Defo worth a visit!!! Google and other places don't have correct opening times so worth checking in advance.
Sarah L — Google review
We visited ZipWorld earlier, but this place was the highlight of the day and the attraction we are still talking about after our holiday is over! We spent over an hour and had the most amazing time. There is a mini golf, which looked fun, but we tried the scalextric tracks. There are, I think four, a Daytona high-speed oval track, a six-car F1 track and two challenging time-trial rally tracks. The whole family had so much fun and got to race on all of them. You get your lap times from a computer system that tracks your speed and position. There's also a huge collection of racing cars and memorabilia. It's so well done and I could look at the models for hours. We were the only visitors when we were there. The owner said the steam trains come less often now to Blaenau, so come and visit if you possibly can. Perfect for a wet half-day in Eryri. Great value. Check the opening times online, but it was open when it said it would be shut, so ask on social if you're not sure. Very close to the Ffestiniog car park. Don't miss this.
Richard W — Google review
A super friendly host, with several 'hands on' tracks custom tracks from 2 player to 6 player. A superb indoor/outdoor model railway and you can even race scale boats. The 8 hole miniature golf course is a real challenge too. A must for all the family whether rain or sun.
Grant J — Google review
Absolutely top rate place. Mike the owner was super helpful and friendly. Several different scalextric layouts and a mini golf course. Both my sons loved it ! Even the dog was welcome though he was terrible at crazy golf!
Martin C — Google review
Well worth a visit. The owner turned the speed down on the slot cars so my 3 and 6 year old could play with ease. Very impressive.
Richard P — Google review
An amazing place to visit for slot car fans and any one else. Fantastic experience and owner is a real gent. The entire family from 60 to 3 years enjoyed the experience.
Mark T — Google review
Great little find. The effort the owner has gone to is amazing, you can see he is very passionate about what he does! I had great fun beating my Husband at skaletrix! Would defo recommend.

Plas Tan y Bwlch Gardens, located in Snowdonia National Park, is a hub for environmental study courses. While the study center is exclusive to course participants, the public can explore 13 acres of stunning Victorian Gardens featuring formal terraces, a water garden, a Japanese garden, a 120-year-old rhododendron tunnel, azalea walks, and a wildlife garden. The gardens overlook the River Dwyryd valley and offer breathtaking views.
My husband and I have stayed here twice. This is one of our favorite places in Wales, it provides a restful and relaxing location. Lots of places to walk and enjoy the scenery and some history. The staff have always been professional and helpful, and the breakfasts are tasty and filling. Don’t come here expecting a posh b&b. But it is clean and restful.
Maxine C — Google review
Perfect for a lazy weekend with stunning views, but also perfect for a backpacking holiday or a spiritual retreat with a waterfall on the grounds to clear the mind. Although it says buffet breakfast the food was virtually from pan to plate, with friendly staff throughout the hotel.

Beautiful views and scenery with lovely walks. Love the Beautiful old buildings. We live locally & recently found this place since Covid. We love visiting here with the whole family & have picnics in the gardens. Very very friendly staff. Haven't stayed yet, but my wife & I will be staying for our next anniversary, looking forward to it.

Spent the bank holiday weekend here. Beautiful architecture, nice clean room, breakfast is great. The real 5star rating goes to the receptionist who was very friendly and approachable. Had good knowledge of the local area which helped a lot. The scenery and the garden were very nice a peaceful as well.

Amazing location, very picturesque! The hotel has lots of character and accompanied by stunning views. Marion at reception was lovely too very helpful and kind! Clean room and good value for money. Near to Snowdonia.. Definitely would stay again! Thank you for a lovely stay.

We booked into accommodation for a nights stay. (Yesterday 16th August). Two hours into our stay we were informed from family members that our grandchild had been rushed into intensive care at Manchester children’s hospital. We cannot thank your member of staff Jackie (on reception) enough who went above and beyond customer service. She was amazing and couldn’t do enough to help us. She is an absolute credit to your hotel and is fantastic at her job. Kind caring and compassionate. We will be returning to your hotel and hopefully enjoy a nights stay. Please thank Jackie as she was so so so kind to us.

This hotel is in a beautiful location and the staff are fantastic. The rooms are shabby and dated but they are clearly doing work. They are clean and comfortable which is the main thing. Breakfast was great and overall enjoyed our stay.

This mansion is an excelent spot in Wales to spend one or more nights. The house, what remember more to a castle than a big house is loaded of history. The ambient inside the common areas of the venue gives a feeling of being in a castle in the 18th century. Staff is lovely and very kind and very supportive. I had a problem with booking and they help me with that providing a solution and resolving the problems. The rooms are correct and probably the only mention is the size, they are quite tight, what might be not enough for longer stays. (We only checked one room so I am also assuming they have more options and types. And something that needs to be mention is the gardens around the house... anyone stayin here should take a time to walk around those fantastic gardens!! I would recomend it with no doubt.

Betws-y-Coed Tourist Information Centre

4.6
(3978)
Visitor center
Betws y Coed Tourist Information Centre provides a wealth of information on the park's attractions, activities, and events. It also offers assistance with accommodations and souvenirs. The area is popular among tourists, but there are walks that remain separate from the touristy spots. The forest walk is particularly impressive, featuring a wooden bridge that allows wheelchair-bound or physically challenged individuals to enjoy the beauty of the area. Visitors can easily access Swallow Falls either by the main road or a scenic route.
The visitor centre has a great exhibition about the eryri national park. There is a VR experience simulating the top of Snowdon and an immersive film, all for free. It was very quiet and a great visit. There is also a cafe which serves drinks and cakes. The shop sells a wide assortment of items, most of which at a reasonable price.

Beautiful place, visited on a Wednesday afternoon. Very scenic. Amazing river and a little waterfall. Would 100% recommend a visit here.
Angela L — Google review
Well stocked shop and lots of leaflets and info available. Snowdonia exhibition and film shown in small theatre area. Worth stopping past.
Will M — Google review
Such a beautiful Welsh village. Plenty of good walks starting at the car park. The river was in full force when we visited which was great
Dawn B — Google review
Love the forest walk. We took the Blue path. Steep at parts but mostly it's a steady incline. Couldn't complete the path as one of our party was wearing shorts and we hit a nettle patch. We turned back after about 1.5hrs. Still very enjoyable as we were able to pick lots of juicy blackberries to make pies. We drove to Swallow Falls instead and pay £2 to view from a few vantage points. Nice :)
Halcyon 1 — Google review
So much to enjoy here and I recommend both river walks. The inner one around the golf course is filled with river views. The West one has rapids and woodland walking. The town feels successful and thriving. Welcoming too.
Neville C — Google review
Beautiful station, with a very old word feeling
Paul H — Google review
Touristic, yet the walks remain separated from the touristic area. Forest walk, awesome. Wooden bridge was installed in the main attraction, thus wheelchair bound or physically challenged people may have a chance to experience such beauty. One can easily walk to Swallow Falls either by the main road or scenic route. One can also walk towards the train museum, although it's currently under refurbishment. One can walk around the golf course. It's more challenging than forest walk. The Pont bridge is also one of the main attraction of Betws. There used to be teenagers jumping off of it during heat wave. I strongly recommend against doing that. It's extremely dangerous, irresponsible, and could cause fatality. Not to mention being arrested and massively fined.

Y Chwarelwr - The Quarryman Bar & Grill is a delightful dining spot that perfectly complements your adventures in Snowdon. After a day of exploring, you can indulge in generous portions of delicious meals, like their tender ribs that practically fall off the bone. The atmosphere is inviting, set in a beautifully converted bank with charming decor and even a slate shop at the back. Guests rave about the friendly service and quick seating, making it an ideal stop after your outdoor escapades.
I ordered the ribs here, they were excellent. They were so tender that when I offered a rib to a friend to try, the bone fell away. The corn was well done, if a little bland - some butter and salt would have been perfect. The potato wedges were surprisingly good, the thinner wedges were very crispy and accompanied the meal very well.
Jacky — Google review
Me and my partner enjoyed dining here a few times during our visit. The meals have generous portions and are very satisfying after days exploring Snowdon. There is a good selection of wines and also the barmaid made a lovely pink gin and tonic with frozen strawberries! Would definitely recommend. My only criticism would be that vegetarian options are lacking.
Jessica C — Google review
Went here after our climb up Snowdon! It was a short walk from where we were staying. Got seated and served straight away :) restaurant was clean and tidy. All the staff were really friendly and helpful Had the steak for dinner which was too die for cooked to perfection!
Felicity F — Google review
We had the most amazing food here! Great prices and such a lovely themed restaurant. Dinners were huge, perfect after a long walk!
Anna P — Google review
Don't get me wrong the food was nice but wasn't a great overall service. To improve get better management on how the mains and desserts go out. We waited 1 hour and 15 mins to get desserts that weren't very nice. The sticky toffee pudding was grim (must avoid). Also the toilets need to be checked as they wasn't to clean.
Alex A — Google review
The service staff were attentive and extremely accommodating. However, the burger that I received was less than satisfactory. Calling it a beef burger is an overstatement as it was not made of minced beef. The texture was similar to biting a rubber ducky. For £10, you're better off with McDonald's.
J S — Google review
Very good food. Not cheap but well worth the money. Good friendly service

Burrito Blasus is an exquisite establishment with a delightful ambiance. The burritos are prepared to perfection, allowing customers to choose their desired level of spiciness. The accompanying side dishes, such as nachos and cheesy flatbreads with garlic, are superb. The staff members are not only competent but also affable, making this eatery a fantastic option for dining out in Blaenau.
⸻ 5 Stars – Authentic Mexican Flavors and Warm Hospitality! I had an incredible dining experience at this Mexican restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with colorful decor and upbeat music that instantly set the mood. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavors. The tacos were perfectly seasoned, the guacamole was fresh and zesty, and the enchiladas were rich and comforting. They also had a great selection of salsas, each with its own unique kick. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. They were happy to explain the menu and even recommended a few off-menu specials that turned out to be our favorites. Whether you’re craving a casual meal or a full-on Mexican feast, this spot is a gem. I’ll definitely be coming back—and bringing more friends next time!

Had a great experience at this Mexican spot! The vegetarian burrito was fresh, flavorful, and loaded with perfectly spiced rice, salsa, corn, lettuce, and beans — a satisfying and hearty option for anyone avoiding meat. The ambience is bright and welcoming, with colorful chairs and a relaxed outdoor seating area that’s perfect for a sunny day. Definitely a good pick if you’re in the area and craving some solid Mexican food with vegetarian options. Would go back!

Came here for a Burrito, unfortunately they were unavailable today but the friendly staff and amazing chilli loaded fries more than made up for it. The portion size was amazing. I hadn't eaten all day and the loaded fries even filled 20 stone me Look forward to returning to try the Burritos when they are available Top place, highly recommend

There’s a reason this place only has 5 star reviews. Delicious burritos with fast service. I had the veggie and it was delicious and stuffed FULL! Cappuccino was nice too. My Boyfriend has been telling me about how good these burritos are for years and it was well worth the hype - i’ll be back. Diolch yn fawr!!

Really impressed with this place! The portion sizes were huge, you definitely won’t leave hungry. Staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was tasty and did not disappoint. Also loved the music, it had a good mix playing in the background, loud enough to enjoy but not so loud that you can’t chat. Great vibe overall. Will definitely be back!
