It is the most famous mall in Mangalore and it has very good connectivity with buses, autos, taxis and all. All type of shops and brands are there in the mall which makes this mall a people’s first choice. There is parking in upside and downside of the mall which is very convenient from both sides ( Aloysius and Sai palace side ) All type of clothing, games, multiplex, and all kind of shops are there in this mall and it is a complete package. On weekends, nowadays this mall will be full and there is a difficulty in getting parking which my friend experienced, so be aware of this fact. However this mall is very good and enjoyable. Mall has got good parking facility. Parking is free. The main stores here are the chroma, bata, Brand factory and barbeque nation. Mall is mostly empty except for chroma and barbeque nation. Second floor is completely empty. Barbeque nation, on the third floor serves buffets. Chroma, has got all required electronics and is quite good. Brand factory is again an average clothing store. Good place if you want to buy electronics or try the buffet.

Mak Nall is a commercial building located in Kankandy. The building houses a few furniture stores, shoe stores, beauty salons, and food joints. Some popular establishments in the building include Barbecue Nation, Bata, Croma, Home Town, Onesta Pizza Company, and Brand Factory (closed on Sundays).

I'd a very bad experience here. Washroom is in 3rd floor and it's located in a creepy place. And the washroom locking part(idk what it's called?) Is very sharp. I got a cut becuz of that pls fix it as it might be unsafe for kids too

The mall parking cashier was extremely rude and arrogant. According to Smart Bazaar, parking should be free upon showing the bill, and their staff even entered our ticket into the system. Which is there in the bill also However, when we inquired with the security guard, he said there is no free parking go n ask with anyone . May b supermarket gave a discount because u park here , but nothing is offered at the parking. Regardless of the situation, he could have communicated politely instead of screaming, which was completely inappropriate.Please teach him how to talk with customers. (Voice tone matters)

This is a nice mall to visit. With Pabba's being the core attraction, there are outlets of decathlon, relaince trends women and men, jockey, ziwame, several other shops and a food court. The parking was under construction the last time I visited. It is safe and less crowded, a great place to spend the evening at.

One of the oldest mall of Mangalore providing variety of services in respect to dinning, entertainment and shopping time. Spindrift is available on the top floor which is a pub. One step below you will find family restaurant named Thyme which has good food. Rest of the floors there is Bharath cinema, decathlon and food court. Ground floor you can shop for all essentials and also has famous Pabbas icecream parlour. Overall mall is beautiful catering to various attributes. Thyme restaurant located in side the Big bazar mall. We have been here on the weekdays for the lunch, it was not busy. We ordered momos, Singapore chicken, chicken uruwal, kheema rice, mutton roghan ghosh, dosa and roti, overall everything was flavorful. Menu has a wide variety’s to offer with reasonable prices. Quality and quantity is perfect. Presentation of the food is phenomenal. Atmosphere, service and the ambiance is top notch, Dining room looks elegant clean and hygienically maintained very well. We loved the sitting arrangements, lights and the color coordination. Restrooms are huge, comfortable, beautiful and very clean. Underground paid parking is available.. Overall good place to dine in with the family..We had a great experience…

Great experience overall. The service was super fast, perhaps because we visited quite early at 12:15 PM. The servers and staff were very courteous and humble. The food was good, but I wouldn't say the best. I'd rate the food 4/5. The mocktails were amazing though. We got coconut pannacotta and gulab jamun cheesecake which were also very good. Parking is not a problem as I the restaurant is situated in a mall which has paid parking. The ambience is also amazing as there's a huge glass area letting in a lot of sunlight.

Just fabulous!! The ambience, the food and the staff, are very pleasant. It's a perfect family Restaurant. Its a link of the Spindrift Brew Pub on the upper floor and you get the same house-brewd beers here (Ask for the Bar-Menu if not given). The Menu has Continental, Indian, Chinese and Fusion cuisines. The staff are really helpful in describing the food, and the service is also fast. I enjoyed a scrumptious dinner with Belgian Wheat Beer, delicious starters and Chicken Ala Parilla (main course). A delightful Continental food experience.

I found the pizza pretty average. It clearly lacks flavour. However the garlic bread is brilliant. I loved the consistency of the bread with the subtle flavour of garlic. The cheese was a distraction and I prefer it without cheese. However, they didn't have that option. The wait here is very long. I waited around 60 mins for the cheese garlic bread and another 30 mins for the pizza. I even was half minded to leave. Mainly for this reason I wouldn't recommend this place.

I recently visited McDonald’s after quite a long time, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. We ordered the Korean Burger and a wrap, both of which we were excited to try. However, both items were severely lacking in sauces, making them extremely dry and not enjoyable to eat. We expected bold flavors, especially from something like a Korean Burger, but it just didn’t deliver. The fries, which are usually a McDonald’s highlight, were soggy instead of being crispy and fresh. That was another letdown. To top it off, what used to be a quick 10-minute service took almost 30 minutes this time. Waiting that long for fast food, only to receive subpar quality, was very frustrating. Overall, I left feeling really disappointed with the declining standards at McDonald’s. I hope they take customer feedback seriously and work on improving both the food quality and service speed

This was the first time i tried McDonalds and I was pleasantly surprised. I visited at around 9:30pm on a Friday and it wasn't very crowded. The staff at the counter was really helpful. I tried their McMaharaja meal with a fried chicken as an add-on. The McMaharaja Mac is definitely worth the hype although it can get a big messy as it is pretty big. The fried chicken however wasn't as good (as KFC). That is understandable as Mcdonalds is known for their burgers and not fried chicken. I have to write this about a staff member here who served me the food. He was short and had a mallu accent. He was so sweet and friendly. It was a pleasure just to watch him work. You can tell that he really enjoys his work. Even when he's cleaning up the tables, he does it in such a way that shows that he loves his job. He is so active and energetic while doing his job and definitely deserves a raise! Although i really enjoyed my time here, I'm only giving 4 stars because the food is definitely not healthy and also not value for money.

Visited Mcdonalds with my friends after our gym session for a quick cheat meal 🤣 It was a bit crowded around 4 pm, filled with students. But, there were enough seats available. We placed our order on the Kiosk available inside, and one staff helped us get the best offer using which we saved some money. Peri Peri nuggets with mustard sauce is still my favorite. The burger and mcflurry ice cream was also good. All in all, a good spot to indulge in some tasty junk food. 🍗🍔

Located at the city centre mall entrance. Nice ambience and spacious. It felt more spicy compared to the other outlets, but it was tasty too. The mall pay parking needs to be used. Edited on 11.03.24. There was an entry through the lifestyle outlet, it's not allowed now but the arrow mark is still there, so kindly remove that to avoid confusion. And also they started to reduce the size of the chicken pieces. Nowadays I get more smaller pieces. Don't let down your trust.

New Biryani Palace in Kankanadi, Mangalore fell short of expectations during my recent visit. Despite the positive reviews, both the biryani and grill chicken left much to be desired in terms of taste and value for money. The overpricing of the dishes was particularly disappointing. Unfortunately, this experience did not align with the favorable Google reviews that initially led me to choose the restaurant. I would recommend exploring alternative dining options in the vicinity for a more satisfying culinary experience.

I was a regular customer here years ago, but after trying their chicken biryani today, I was very disappointed. It felt more like plain rice mixed with chicken gravy with hardly any real flavor. Definitely not worth the money, and I won’t be coming back.

My wife's favourite place for biryani. we got the chicken biryani and chicken tikka parcel and ate the shawarma there itself. I was eager to taste the chicken biryani and as I was relishing it at my in laws home, it turned out to be disastrous for me as this steel wire ( please see the photo) got stuck in my throat just before swallowing the food. Initially I thought it must be a small bone piece and to my surprise it was a steel wire. How could they be so irresponsible?? We reach out to such places thinking it be hygenic. It's such a pathetic experience. On calling the restaurant, the concerned person was talking about replacement which wouldn't suffice the purpose so I denied it. If something would have gone wrong with me who would have been responsible???

This paradise is no paradise at all. Awful biriyani. It's overpriced and anything extra, will be priced. Biriyani with no gravy and salad extra would be charged. Chicken tikka is dry and no taste. Chutni or mayonnaise not included and will b provided on extra charge. Not at all recommended.

Although some services/timings can be made more transparent, the sheer size of the project including the zoo, lake garden, Planetarium, heritage village and house is appreciable..The property is well maintained as well..We couldn't visit the Planetarium as it closes at 2.30 PM which was not informed while booking the tickets..Certainly recommended for a family visit, also it's best to keep aside a whole day to visit each section leisurely..Not sure about food/restaurant facilities as we did not use it

Never thought we had so much option in this area. Science park, arts village, water park, animal kingdom, lake garden, planatorian. Plan atleast 4hours for watching entire area. Spend more time as per the intrest. Buggies available for less physically fit people or for better time management. Making prior visit plan will help. Management can improve on cleanliness, clarity in announcement to make it better place to visit

It was a good experience although it lacked a few animals and some of the coops were empty or were under maintenance at the time we visited. Overall the place would be fun with friends or family. But Cafe inside the zoo was disappointing, with below average food and an overpriced menu.

Visited Pilikula Nisargadhama recently. The place has good potential with a natural setting and attractions like the zoo and planetarium, but maintenance is poor.

Really awesome place to spend the day specially for kids at Science Center and Planetarium, the Lake and Gaden are also well maintained , the Zoo was once well kept however now many enclosure looks under maintenance and less of animals are visible. But it's the best place to spend your day with kids , the battery vehicles for movement and all in the zoo , however boogies should be outside each location with easy drop and move rather than call and wait .

I visited Kadri Park with my family and we really enjoyed the place. The park is clean, peaceful and perfect for walking and relaxing. My little one loved the play area and the greenery around. Good place to spend time with family. Only thing is maintenance can be improved in some areas. Overall it’s a very nice spot in Mangalore.

It is a very good place to relax , walk , jog or just sit and relax .very well maintained gardens . Lots of seating available outside the park as well. Nice kids play area. Lots of food stalls outside .

Kadri park is big and beautiful and not well maintained. Lot of exercise equipment has not working and toy train also stopped. Enjoy the beautiful time with family and friends. Lot of shops are there for snacks and roads are good for ride.A well maintained park for all ages to come and have relaxed, sporting and lovely morning and evening walk. Park is equipped with toilet facilities, open excercise equipment and some entertainment items for kids. It is also equipped with you train giving the round of the park and nearby areas in some cinematic manner. Main attraction is the Indian Flag, raising above the sky like anything and light show in the evening. You can always find some function or exhibition being organised in the park or nearby area.The park is good. friends and family can have there best quality time here.We had really good time and memory from kadri park. Do visit kadri park. Visited In the Day and Night Time Too. Great Experience 💐💥🥳.

The park was in good condition, good for kids to enjoy in the evening. But the park has no electricity backup, so it becomes dark after sundown time with no electricity. No food stalls inside, but plenty of it available outside the park, opposite the main gate. There are toy train rides charging 25rs per head.

Kadri Park is beautiful from outside bcuz the roads are so artistically made with lots of benches & seating area & parking space But the Park is not maintained well. There are huge bushes and weeds all around. And there's nothing new or attractive. It's filled with people who are exercising or taking a walk or just relaxing as there is no entry fee. But there's nothing worth watching here . Well the train is running but i don't think it's well maintained .

Good park for kids in mangluru with No entry fees. The park is not that big but it's good, there is a kids playing area, some equipment for adults to exercise. There is water fountain in the night. And for kids they have a small train which takes you one round of the park. So overall your kids will definitely enjoy this park, and there are food stalls and seating areas outside the park as well.

One of the best beaches in Mangalore, it is always under the supervision of life guards. Ample parking space available, the beach has street food stalls and also a beach resort and bar Overall loved the place

Panambur Beach — a really nice beach, though it gets quite crowded in the evenings. The best time to visit is early in the morning to truly enjoy the vibe. When we went, it started raining, and the dramatic visuals of nature were both stunning and a bit scary to witness.

Located some 12 km from the city centre, situated quite inside from the main road, this beach doesn’t come close to the fame it has. It’s a dirty, badly maintained and just one-time visit type of beach. Quite spacious and good scope to develop it as a model- sea beach, Government apathy and lackadaisical attitude towards any tourism places not just beaches have made such a wonderful location in a just one cheap and third grade beach. I don’t recommend. But yes, it does have some extra activities to for enjoyment.

It was a lovely place to visit 🏖️. You have to pay a 20 rupee entry fee per person to access the beach 🌴, which features a beautiful bridge similar to the Malpe Sea Walk 🌉. The bridge offers stunning views of the river on one side and the sea on the other 🌊. Overall, it was well worth visiting, especially the bridge 🤩. It's also an ideal spot for a photo shoot 📸.

Beach is good. But not properly maintained by the caretaking division of government. There is no facility at all. Beach is full of garbage, not enough dustbins kept, no washrooms, no first aid, no drinking water facility, and no guards are sitting near the beach. Simply they are charging 20 Rs. Per person at the entrance. Even people are throwing the garbages wherever they want.

Best beach experience of my life! Worth visiting and staying there! It's little bit interior but worth a try... Was on cloud nine the moment reached there... Decent, clean and no crowd or less crowd beach... Many home stays on Airbnb are available for this beach.

Located within the high circuit house area and has a good view of the low lying surrounded areas and the road below. A good ambience with plenty of parking space along the road. Felt like more of an overpriced and slow service. Even a similar restaurant in bangalore would give a better price for the quantity or service provided here. We had ordered neer dosa along with prawns ghee roast. The ghee roast was delivered initially, later hot rice and chicken gravy and neer dosa bit later. When asked why the neer dosa was so cold, were told its made in the morning and kept. Why couldn't they serve it initially as requested by us if it was ready. The chicken pieces served were not that good and was salty.

I visited Gajalee restaurant as on 18th Jul’25 at 1:30PM IST & I ABSOLUTELY Loved it. Real and authentic Mangalorean food served with a big smile and absolute no expectations in return. A True experience of Our Mangalorean cuisine with a detailed explanation on the spice level and how the food looks and served and goes well with what? Hoax are the folks who are surprised with the bill when they couldn’t afford and claim the food and services are bad. shame on such imposters who are a disgrace to our Mangalorean community. Jeevan who severed me & the stewards Ganesh who was overlooking at my orders was so humble and quick and ensured every details are observed and served to the T. If this is read by the hotel management team, they DEFINITELY have to give a RAISE to these folks… Thank you Guys!!! Not sure why this restaurant get such low ratings but these guys really deserves a raise and the service, ambiance are crafted to the perfection. Food takes its time and if given the time to cook to that perfection the food served to you is more than heavenly and this Gajalee perfects that matter, unlike some experts a street Dharshini hotel experience and claims false comments and ratings. Let’s encourage more such restaurants & the people who give their best to ensure the CUSTOMER SATISFACTION is met at the peak.

Absolutely brilliant location& ambiance. Coming back here for lunch after almost 15 + years.But this time the food was not amazing as expected. Everything was average - ghee roast prawn looked better than it tasted, fish pulimunchi was good but I have had much better , neer dosa was heartless. The only highlight was the butter garlic squid .. spot on and really has that garlic kick.

The coastal food was very tasty and authentic, but the long wait times and slow service were disappointing. The wait staff seemed completely overwhelmed, and customer service took a backseat. Lovely food. Plenty of options and really well cooked. The favourite had to be the Mutton Biryani and Tandoori Lobster. Staff were incredibly friendly. Price is quite reasonable too.

The restaurant is located inside the mall. It's very spacious and the vibe of the place is really amazing. Theres are options for AC as well as Non AC. Both look equally nice and aesthetic. Coming to the food, really yum food. The chicken as well as the veg are amazing. The only thing is we didn't find the beers which we normally find outside. They brew their own beer. They have three kinds of beer which they serve which are good. You can get a sample taste of it. Overall it's an amazing place to have food and hangout with your buddies.

A Disappointing Return to Spindrift I was genuinely looking forward to revisiting Spindrift. My last daytime visit years ago left me with fond memories of a cool and enjoyable place. However, my return after three years was an utter disappointment. The service was incredibly poor. Staff were unresponsive and inattentive, often ignoring our calls. In the two hours we were there, we only managed to place two orders, neither of which was served correctly. What was particularly frustrating was that a waiter was very prompt in coming to tell us about the last order, yet he hadn't bothered to take our order for the entire first hour we were seated. It's clear they struggle to manage when busy, and this inconsistency in service was very telling. The beers were a major letdown. They tasted bad and weren't chilled at all. To make matters worse, the tasters provided no indication of which beer we were sampling, and even those weren't cold. The "mango" beer was particularly disappointing. This definitely needs to be looked into – something is seriously wrong with their beer quality. On a positive note, the food was good, but we barely had the chance to order more. The AC wasn't working, which they blamed on the mall. While that might be true, they should have informed us before seating us, as it made for a very uncomfortable and stuffy experience. I honestly don't feel like going back. The only ray of hope is if management reads this and makes significant improvements. I truly believe this place has potential if they invest in staff training and address the issues with their beers. The initial seating process was good, and the person who helped us seemed helpful, but unfortunately, she wasn't around later to discuss our concerns. She really needs to look into these issues.

Great ambience and seating, disappointing everything else! The food was mediocre and overpriced. The Barbeque Chicken Wings were extremely sweet. The mocktails were unimpressive and the mango wheat beer had an offputting aroma. Service was slow. The music selection was repetitive, with the same playlist on loop. I heard 'I'm Unstoppable' thrice in 1.5 hours. It felt more like the playlist was unstoppable. 😂 Overall, I'd advise against visiting this place, unless you're solely going for a drink. Even then, anyone accompanying you may leave disappointed.

Good place to relax and enjoy dinner with friends . They have a wide variety of fabulous and mouth watering dishes and a good set of beers and alcohol. Plenty of seating area in the AC and Non-AC and parking is also available in three levels . Friendly and hospitable staff who are quick with their service .

Average food. Biriyani not hot at all and noodles isn't spicy too. The issue is that tables in there are not clean. They have to maintain cleanliness. The best part was the Milkshake. It's quantity and price.

I have taken out Chicken sukka, chicken pepper etc from this place and they have been amazing. The quality and quantity are good. However, it would be great to have the meat marinated for a longer time, but we know this isn't a norm in restaurants. Apart from the food, the staff is very cordial and helpful. My waiting time for the takeout was average however, due to the rush hour. Service will be quicker if else.

I have visited the Adorable Claim Temple many times during my stay in Mangalore. It is a truly divine place. During the Navratri festival, the temple is beautifully decorated, and the Goddess is adorned with different alarakaras each day, which look absolutely stunning. I recently visited during Navratri, and the light decorations along with the Goddess’s alarakara made it a memorable experience. Though it was a bit crowded, I was blessed with a wonderful darshana. A highly recommended place to visit when you are in Mangalore!

Very famous temple and Very powerful goddess. Its best to visit the temple during early morning and evening, because it's peaceful during that time. But it's irritating at the afternoon, specially during Anna prasada. The management will be so rude that time , they don't allow you to eat peacefully at one place, they will be yelling at you all the time . They behave like the conductor in local bus , they will be keep on saying, don't stand here go there etc . 🙄 The management people specially during the Anna Prasada are the worst . Accept that the temple is great, beautiful goddess, everyone should visit.

It's easily accessible and walkable from most central areas in Mangalore. The temple is neat and well maintained, and you instantly feel peaceful once inside. There are shrines for both Lord Ganesha and Lord Shiva. It’s not too crowded during regular hours, and the pujaris are kind and approachable. They also have a small parking space, which is a bonus in such a busy area. Ideal Cafe is just across the road—so it’s quite a nice combo to visit the temple and then stop for some snacks or ice cream. A great place to spend a few quiet minutes, especially if you're around the city centre.

The Sharavu Mahaganapathy Temple is one of the most well known tourist attractions that are situated in the city of Mangalore in Karnataka. This temple is well acclaimed as one of the most popular temples of the southern part of India. The name “Sharavu” is derived from “Shara” which means arrow. About eight centuries back, the “Sthalapurana” or local legendary depicts, a very powerful king, Maharaja Veerabahu of tuluva region, killed a cow by sheer mistake by shooting it with an arrow. Definitely well maintained and has all the essential equipment for athletes. There's a gym available (paid), and the presence of a security guard adds to the safety. The entire area is clean and well-kept. The synthetic track is a big plus - even during rain it's not slippery, which makes it ideal for consistent training. Just a heads-up: shoes are mandatory on the track.

I went for running this morning between 7-8am and it was very nice running on the track. normal timings mentioned is 6-8am for athletes, 8-9am for regular users, but only running allowed on the synthetic track with proper shoes. the track is regular 400m, it was non slippery even with heavy downpour of rains. overall, i would recommend folks to use this for running. there is decent parking available for people driving from far away. although i didnt check with the security guard, folks who want to train regularly need to get some membership, but casual runners can just go.

Very good stadium. It has a vibrant morning environment. You can do running, exercises. And also you will get to see a nice sunrise. Needs infrastructure update and work is under progress. A must visit in morning. Membership fees is Rs 100 only.

I went for a track workout around 6am in the morning - the stadium is open to the public during early morning hours and late evening hours (5:30am - 8am and 6:30pm - 8pm). There were a lot of people running, walking and doing all sorts of exercises!

I was here for a marriage function for like 5 days. One of my friends told me about this place, which was very close to the place I was staying. So I got my running shoes. This is a great place for professional athletes and for sure you'll be satisfied. The ground open around at 4 in the early morning. And when I visited, something was under construction, that means it's getting even for better. Overall, it was a geat experience.

Beautiful chapel with brilliant frescoes. The blue and white exterior is most mesmerising. Photography inside is not permitted which is good. This encourages visitors to spend few moments in silence and pray with devotion, a value grossly missing in todays social media savvy times. Good luck to the management team in maintaining the sanctity of this revered space.

Can’t praise the chapel adequately. Our tour driver recommended a visit & since we were ahead of schedule, we dropped in with no notion of what to expect. The building is beautiful, but the exquisite frescos covering the walls & ceiling were the high point. We have travelled all over the world & seen some of the best frescoes and I’d say these compare with the best. The additional charm is that no one is rushing you & the visit is free. However, I would recommend a donation for upkeep of the frescoes

The collection of the Jesuits from many centuries at the Aloysium is a must see when you travel to Mangalore. They have a variety of displays from the images I've shared like the whale skeleton and tortoise shells. Additionally there is a huge stamp & coin collection, sea shells, vintage camera from many decades and a much more. Make sure to check the timings since it is open daily and closed for lunch between 1-2pm

This chapel has a special place it my heart. Sunday mass timings 6:30 am (multilingual).

This Chapel has exquisite paintings on the walls, pillars , roof & every conceivable place, depicting scenes from Life of Jesus & other saints. It has lovely stained glass windows too. As photography is not allowed, I can't post any. This is a must visit place in Mangalore.

Very beautiful and one of the most popular Lord Shiva temples in manglore.🙏🏻 The place is really calm, quiet and peaceful . Morning times are the best to visit the temple to experience the calmness. Right from entering the gate of temple we feel as though we have stepped into a place surrounded by nature 🌿 and enchanted calmness. Here Lord Ganesha , Goddess Parvati , Lord Ayyappa and few other deities are also worshipped. This temple has lots of levels At the ground floor you can see the main deities which I mentioned above. When you climb stairs to firt floor you will reach a place with a big rectangle water tank divided into amall square shaped tanks. There are folklore legends that these water tanks hold medicinal values and taking a dip in these water tanks cure many diseases. The water in these tanks is filled by the great Kaashi Bhagirathi River. It flows out through an opening under Lord Ganesha temple. People can drink that theertham from there as well fill bottle to carry the theertham home. This same theertham can be filled in small brass vessels near to a stairs and we can do jal archana by our own hands to Lord Shiva which have to again climb few stairs to reach the Shiva lingam.🙏🏻 There is a big statue of Lord Hanuman if you climb little more further. The view from here is mesmerizing. There are a lot of steps to go up and down. So if you are planning to visit only the main deities then it's at the ground floor which you can reach by climbing only a few steps. But rest all the other areas have a lot of climbing to do. This is a must visit temple if you are in the vicinity of Mangalore. It dates all the way back to the 10th-11th centuries. There is a fresh water spring the source of which is supposedly the Bhagirathi river in Kashi, hence considered very holy. There are also caves that date back to 4-6th century AD. They are purported to be visited by the Pandavas.

Visiting the Temple in the morning is such a calming experience. The cool breeze, the faint sound of temple bells, and the early sunlight just sets a peaceful tone for the day. The place feels really pure and quiet at that hour, away from the usual crowd. The architecture beautifully blends old-world charm with spiritual energy. There are also smaller shrines around, and the natural springs near the temple are believed to have holy water. I was amazed to see many school and college kids in their uniform at the lunch to enjoy the free and tasty food they provide everyday to the devotees. I recently visited Infant Jesus Church after a month, and as always, it was a peaceful and divine experience. I spent time in prayer, thanking God for His blessings. The atmosphere is very calm, and the people here are kind and helpful. The church has improved a lot — it’s well-maintained, and the environment encourages faith and devotion. I really appreciate the efforts of the parish team in keeping the place clean and welcoming. It’s a beautiful church where I always pray for good health and a happy life for everyone. My review and rating is about lodge. The room in which I boarded is full of bed mites and bedsheets are also not clean that's why I am giving this rating, later I changed the room there also bed mites are there but very less. The location is good, it is in prime location, it cost Rs.450 (including GST)for 24 hours. The toilets (only indian style) and bathrooms are also clean.

They serve two types of palyas, pickle,Rasam, sambar and butter milk. You get boiled rice and white rice. They charge an extra 10 rupees for a cup of curd. All the items were unlimited except butter milk.

I came here after a long time and ordered French onion soup, exotic veg sizzler, chicken satellite, peach iced tea, and ginger ale. The French onion soup was brilliant, the caramelized onion with a hint of garlic was a refreshing change from the mainstream soups usually served. The exotic veg sizzler was also splendid, with fresh vegetables and a BBQ sauce that struck a good balance of savoury and sweet. The chicken satellite was a letdown as the chicken was not fresh and tasted off, though otherwise the dish was fine. The peach iced tea and ginger ale were refreshing. The service was good. Overall, it was a pleasant experience except for the chicken.

I tried the Oyster Sauce Chicken Sizzler. At first glance, it looked appealing and the portion size was generous, which was a plus. However, the taste didn’t match the presentation. The flavors were flat, the seasoning felt off, and overall it was less than average in terms of satisfaction. Good quantity, but the dish needs improvement in taste to be worth recommending.

The room was filled with the smoke from all the sizzlers. It was nostalgic for my family and me. We were visiting this place after more than a decade. It was great family time with excellent sizzlers.

We had Manchow and onion soup. Both were good. Onion soup was subtle and nice. Lotus stem starter was fabulous but quantity was less. Sizzlers were good and ample. They are centred around cutlet or paneer. Service was okayish. We had to ask them multiple times to serve and yet they failed to comply. Ambience is ok and space is a bit limited and it can get smokey as ventilation is not so great.

This place is still the same as it was 15 years ago. I love that places like this are still thriving and giving the same flavors it used to. The garlic dip is still as amazing as it was. I don't know if I want to cost my sizzler with it or have bath with it. Always start with the shashlik, satellite and the. The exotice vegetable sizzler(mutton or chicken). The KFC one and mutton chops are for people with a big appetite. The floats are really nice and are a good pair with a nice spicy sizzler. It's also amazing for vegetarians, start with the Italian sizzler and ofcourse, top everything off with an egg. Have a good one.

Neer dosa is just Yum! And at a very affordable price at 36 rupees. Its served with some sweet delicious mix which gives it a sweet flavor. The masala dosa here is tasty but it's not that special like it's like any masala dosa which is served with sambar and chutney and the masala.The food was on Time, The staff were kind. The restaurant is air conditioned. And well sanitized! The vadas here are nice and the puri koorma here are of large size and the taste is ok. The dahi vada served here is not bad neither too good and would take some hardship for a single person to finish one plate of dahi vada as it's fattening and sweet. I would recommend not to order dahi vada after or before breakfast. The Set Dosa is wholesome , its good n is enough to fill your hunger n great way to have a breakfast in the morning. The kurma in the puri kurma is very masalaidaar , n very tasty n the puri served are big in size.

Nice food, 4 to 5 cars could be parked easily. Very near to City Centre Mall. You have Sai Palace exactly opposite to City Centre Mall which is crowded most of times and we have to wait. For those who really want to enjoy good food in a peaceful zone i strongly recommend good old Hotel Janatha Deluxe. We had cutlet, Mysore masala dosa, rawa dosa, ghee roast, goli baje in the evening. The other day i had tried North Indian Thali which was quite filling. Had also tried butter Nan with Paneer Khaju Masala which was really yummy. They serve really Nice strong Tea

We visited for lunch and tried their south indian and north indian thali. South thali tasted really good. North was just okay and can be improved for sure, soup was very average and bread toast in the soup was terribly bad. The ice cream given with the thali was way too small and tasted just okay.

Hotel Janata Deluxe is located beside hotel Manorama, Hampankatta. I heard a lot about their breakfast, so one fine morning we finally visited this place. We ordered kottige thove, neer dosa, Kashi halwa, Mangalore bun and filter coffee. I really loved each and every dish expect bun which was kind of cold and more sweet. I really enjoyed Kashi halwa made of ashgourd, as well as the thick milky filter coffee and chai. Ambience was decent and service was great. I think this is one of the best restaurant in Mangalore for breakfast.

Stay at shaan plaza food at attached janatha deluxe. Would have given 3 but for the food. So it's 3.5 for lodging 4 for food. Central location. Parking available. Lodging average, cheap considering location. Clean and neat. Average furnishings. Sheets clean. Provided are towels and soap. Half size wardrobe with hangers Toilet clean. No cockroaches. Otherwise just about ok Food quantity is good. Not too spicy. Service fairly fast. Not very expensive for quantity.

I was extremely disappointed with my recent visit from this restaurant. I found a hair in my food and it was very clearly a coarse short strand likely from a man. Sadly I saw it much later. This is not only off putting but raises serious concerns about the hygiene and cleanliness standards being followed in the kitchen. When you’re dining out or ordering food basic cleanliness is the least you expect. I genuinely hope the management takes this seriously and ensures better hygiene practices going forward. Until then im hesitant to return or recommend this place to anyone.

We started with their new Hotcha Chicken, inspired by Korean flavors. The dish was a delightful surprise, with tender, expertly marinated chicken infused with subtle gochujang notes that paired beautifully with the rich, melted cheese. Each bite was a harmonious blend of spice and creaminess. We ordered two sizzlers: The Taiwanese Sizzler, another new addition, was a standout. The tangy sauce complemented the noodles perfectly, while the seared chicken thigh, marinated with care, delivered delicate yet bold flavors. A soft, gooey egg crowned the dish, elevating the experience to something truly special. The Spicy Chicken Shashlik, our longtime favorite, lived up to its reputation. Sizzler Ranch is a well-known spot for sizzlers in Mangalore, and I visited with high expectations. I opted for the Chicken Hotcha, also known as Korean Cheese Chicken- expecting bold, spicy flavours and a generous cheesy twist. Unfortunately, the dish didn’t quite live up to the hype. The marination lacked punch, the cheese felt underwhelming, and overall, it didn’t feel like good value for the portion size- slightly overpriced for what it offered. That said, the ambience was lovely and definitely a highlight. I’d love to visit again and try something else from their menu- hopefully, a better hit next time!

Absolutely loved the experience at Sizzler Ranch! The sizzlers were served piping hot with generous portions—highly recommend the Pepper Chicken and Seafood Mixed Grill. The sizzler ice cream dessert was a fun surprise and tasted amazing. The ambience is cozy and clean, ideal for both family dinners and casual outings. Service was prompt and staff were polite and helpful throughout. Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity you get. We ordered Barbecue Wings Mac & Cheese and 3 Sizzler’s. Their Barbecue Wings were good and Mac & Cheese was amazing but unfortunately their Sizzler’s were below average and the main problem was their were to many fries so much so that it was tasting like loaded fries more than a sizzler but their ambiance was really good. Overall if you’re looking for a place with great ambience for a meal then it’s a good option but if you’re looking for great sizzler’s then you could be disappointed.

Having just visited Polali Rajarajeshwari Temple, I'm still feeling the peaceful vibes of the place. The temple has this incredible history that's both ancient and fascinating. They say it was built way back in the 8th century by a king named Suratha, who had lost his kingdom and sought refuge here. The most unique part is the main deity, Shri Rajarajeshwari. Unlike most temples, her idol is made of a special clay with medicinal properties, which is just amazing to think about. The connection to Kateel, another famous temple nearby, is also interesting. They are both considered to be among the "Sapta Durgas" or seven powerful centers of the goddess in the Tulunadu region. While each temple has its own distinct story and deity (Kateel's is Durga Parameshwari), they are part of a larger network of worship dedicated to the divine feminine in this area. It really gives you a sense of the shared spiritual culture of the region. It is suggested to visit both the temples as they are considered sisters. Overall, it's a place with deep history, a unique main idol, and a strong connection to the other sacred places in the area. A truly special experience.

Shri Rajarajeshwori temple in Polali has a great history. Devotional Polali Temple has a beautiful stone and wooden carvings looks amazing. Few common requirements for devotees like garding or trees around temple is definitely missing ,visiting in the afternoon specially in summer is too hot to handle. Temple area doesn’t have any clear proper restrooms, you have to pay some amount to use the restrooms but conditions of restrooms are filthy, very dirty. Free food is available during lunch time again they don’t have a proper sitting facilities. Overall awesome, beautiful temple to visit in the evening, or early morning.

I have visited this temple many times. On this occasion, thousands of devotees visit the temple, and it is considered a very special day of Navaratri🌈✨

great place to visit, especially for children! I visited only the zoo section of Pilikula Biological Park, and it was a wonderful experience. The zoo is well maintained and home to a wide variety of animals — from fascinating mammals to reptiles. The environment is peaceful and ideal for families. There’s ample free parking space, which is very convenient. They also offer a “Pilikula Darshana” electric vehicle service that takes you around different spots, including inside the zoo (for an additional fee apart from the entry ticket). I visited on a weekday and found it pleasantly calm, with no crowd — perfect for enjoying a relaxed walk and getting a clear view of the wildlife. Overall, it’s a great place to spend a few hours connecting with nature and learning about animals.

Visited Pilikula Biological Park recently. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t great — the planetarium was closed early around 2:30 PM, and several animal enclosures were empty. Around 30% of the animals were missing from their areas, and the surroundings weren’t very clean, with a noticeable bad smell. The place needs better maintenance and care. Could be a nice spot if improved, but currently not worth the visit

It's a beautiful place....for ones who want to be with nature. Don't go while they r feeding animals ...missed the lions and tiger Oz it was feeding time (4.00 - 5.00)

Good to visit this place if you are travelling towards Mangalore. Its having many attractions where you have to follow the timing for the planetarium and the rest of places can be visited till 6pm. There is a amusement park for which we have to take extra ticket (550 per person) and better to start it from Morning to enjoy fully. There is 250 rupees(for all activities excluding amusement park) of ticket price for adult and 150 for Children Below 15 years. Overall we need 1 full day to cover this Park

It was a nice experience. Reached around 11.30am on a Friday and people were not there . We could peacefully visit all the places. But it was better to go after the rainy season, because most of tha animals were sitting inside the cage. The lion, bear and tiger were inside the cage and we couldn't able to see them ☹️. The whole place consists of planetarium, regional science center, artisan village, lake garden, botanical garden and biological park. Individual tickets are available for each place but it is better to take the combo ticket of Rs.220/- ( if you have time to visit all the places). Buggy service wasn't available (outside the zoo connecting all the places ) due to rain. Personal vehicles are allowed inside. We took buggy service inside the park which costed around 300/- (2 adults and 1 child). I was amazed by the no: of each species. Really liked the snake house. There were 5 or 6 pythons, cobras and many more. 10 or 12 crocodiles, 6 or 7 hippos etc. I have never seen these many no: of a particular species in a zoo. It felt like we were walking inside a forest. A small snacks center was there at the exit. We had some fresh juices, Maggie and sev puri. It was average.

Pilikula Biological Park: Karnataka's Hidden Gem Zoo! Pilikula Biological Park is a large, exceptionally well-maintained zoo near Mangalore city (with a bus stop nearby). It boasts a very diverse and extensive variety of birds, reptiles, and animals, all kept in clean, spacious enclosures that mimic natural habitats. The entire park is excellently planned with clear signages, clean walking paths, and ample shaded resting spots. I believe it's easily the next best zoo after Mysore Zoo in Karnataka! It's rarely crowded, offers great value for money, and provides a pleasant long walk. Plan your visit as it closes around 5:30 PM.

Good place but the maintenance is pooor, some animals are missing, and birds are seems to be suffering, if you visit zoo or planetarium dont use buggy service its waste of cost, apart from 3d nothing informative boring time waste but science park and the auditorium was fun esp. for kids

A nice experience with kids for the price — they really enjoyed it. Good option for a half-day afternoon outing. There are two pools, one for kids and another for smaller children. The rides are simple, comfortable, and only water-based. Very little crowd, possibly because it was a weekday. Zoo and boating are nearby, and the location is beautiful. The rain made it even more special — we enjoyed a lot.

Water activities was too good but when it comes to gents dress changing and washrooms there is no doors for shower rooms how can any adult may get dress changed even in wet area that's main complent management has to gone through it in a serious way even gents also have some privacy. Otherwise service is good enough and comes to food restaurant is not good in taste and also service is poor and items was fixed i we want to pay there is no items left with them if we ask they reply as let me check the items so kindly go through the food variety and quality also

I visited Manasa Park today and had a really nice time! The park is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of trees and open space to relax. The kids’ play area and boating section were fun. It’s a good place for families and friends to spend a few hours outdoors. The entry fee is reasonable, and the staff were polite. It could use a few more food stalls, but overall, it’s a great spot to enjoy nature.

Sulthan battery gives user 3 spots to enjoy 1- The Fort , you can climb stairs ,very small port ,good view , no ticket ... Sadly users have scribbled walls with love notes - note : its closed in the night 2- Seatings near water deck sunrise ,sunset or just for calming your soul (after port to the right ) 3- the beach , via boat - which is at the end (In beach u can either enjoy in water ,sitting in rocks/ sand or walkway to beach were u have many number of trees -can rest underneath the shade ) Note : there is eating spot to enjoy quick snack (before climbing the boat to beach ) One of the calmest beach of mangalore

Sultan Battery is a must-visit heritage spot in Mangalore! The structure may be small, but it holds a lot of history. The view of the river and the boats passing by is amazing, especially during sunset. There’s also a small beach nearby. Perfect place to relax and click photos!

It still carries that same calm charm. You’ll often find a few friendly furry friends here too, wagging their tails like they’ve known you forever. A perfect place to unwind and soak in Mangalore’s quiet beauty.

The town of Mangalore saw many ups and downs and switching between overlords, especially during the 18th century. In 1763, Haider Ali had captured the town and built a dockyard here; five years later the British ousted him, but in 1794 Haider Ali's son Tipu Sultan was able to defeat the British and take back Mangalore. While he was in control of Mangalore, Tipu built a low, squat watch tower here, overlooking the Gurpur River. Guns were mounted here, in what is obviously a defensive fortification, even though it's not very large. It's known as Sultan Battery or Sulthan Batheri. It takes only a couple of minutes to see this battery; you climb some thirty steps or so, and you are there, where there is really nothing much to see except the view of the river beyond. No entrance fees are charged for Sultan Battery.

Nice place. River is dirty, needs cleaning in the shore. Lot of garbage around. The tower needs some protection. Ferry service is good. Area is developed now.

Good green space in the city. Roadside Parking is available around the park. Excellent locality.

Peaceful space between the city’s noises. Water fountain and the sound of slow music in background. Good for family and friends. Small part situated right besides Naturals Ice Cream Parlour. There are swings and sliders for kids and badminton nets. It is a nice place for a walk and very refreshing environment.

Love this place ❤️ It’s a perfect spot and you will get to see people from all ages coming here for morning and evening walks, you would see children playing in the play area as there are plenty of things for them to play and enjoy. There is drinking water facility, seating arrangements, nice shade, even though it’s in the middle of a city the park gives you a feeling as though you’re far away from city and it’s noise and pollution. You will feel better walking in this park.

Mahatma Gandhi park is located in mannagudda Mangalore.. this place is not the park which Mahatma Gandhi visited...well maintained with greenery, walk path, separate Play ground for children and disabled here ji..

It's a small park but well maintained. Though in some places interlocks have dips and roses, so one must be careful. There is a kids play area as well.

You can feel the might of the great sea here. Amazing. Mind blowing. The beach is enclosed in both sides sadly, and even in the front due to it being monsoon so not much to do but sit and stare. If you are lucky you can even spot a few peacocks. Note: They charge you Rs. 100 per 1.5 hours for the umbrella chairs, the non-umbrella benches are free.

🌊🐚Perfect for a beach picnic, you can swim too! 🏊‍♂️ Although some parts of the bech are polluted, you still have plenty to see and roam around. Theres shade too! 🏝️ The beach tree park is lame, you need to pay for the beach there just to walk 100 meters. no worth it. 👎 instead, enjoy the natural beach 🤭💖 There's horse and camel riding too!! 🏇 the guys are respectful and kind. ❤️ You'll have a good time here. dont forget your summer caps tho! 🧢👕🏞️😉

The sea breeze here feels refreshing, and the golden hour views are absolutely worth the visit. What I loved most is the calm and uncrowded vibe—you can actually hear the sound of the waves without constant noise around. However, since there aren’t too many shops or eateries nearby, it’s better to carry your own snacks and water. Also, swimming can be tricky because of the strong currents. Overall, Tannirbhavi Beach is a beautiful spot to unwind, capture stunning pictures, and experience coastal Karnataka in its raw, natural form. 🌊✨

Lived up to the expectations of a Blue Flag award. To get here, you take a short ferry ride from near Sultan Bathery across the Gurpur river, followed by a quick 400-meter walk. The month I was here (July), the tides were high and barriers along the shore kept us from entering the waters. Such a beautiful spot to spend time at. There are mini cafes at the entrance where you can grab a quick bite during your visit. Sorry I don’t have the best pictures!

Tannirbhavi Beach which is a blue flag beach awarded by Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), India for that meet high standards in water quality, environmental management, safety, and sustainable tourism. Essentially, it signifies a beach that is clean, well-managed, and environmentally responsible. The beach was very gorgeous, neat and I really fall in love with the beach. Since its rainy season and lot of high tides around in Arabian sea, Beach management asked visitors not to enter into the sea and they put barricades around the sea. Worth visiting.

In Mangalore sri venkatarama temple is pretty famous we visited on Saturday and it was well decorated and beautiful. Saturday evening was well spent inside the temple . And outside lot of shopping can do and parking place is less and lot of eateries for chats in the evening. Happy to visit this temple 🙏

Situated right in the heart of the city, the Venkatramana temple is famous for the Kodial Teru which happens every Jan or Feb. There are intricate carvings and wood work inside the temple walls. Lord Venkatramana is placed on the Palanquin and the 2 Chariots during the annual Teru(Car festival) which also coincides with Ratha Sapthami. Lord Surya(Sun God) is worshipped too during the festival.

Nice Park for mini outing during evening. Though not well maintained but peaceful and little green. Many benches are available to sit and chit chat. Not suitable for walking purpose as it is step park. During evening time there is one panipuri wala outside park gate. Park closes around 8:00. I like lightning they do in evening. Though park is very noisy with traffic on hill road. Still you enjoy.. Location is superb. One side city centre Mall, another side idah gah and st Aloysius college. These days it is under construction, ( pavements ) Free Parking available outside park

It looks inviting ...but opening hours are not inviting at all. And now that a gigantic apartment complex has sprung up so close this park seems ugly and miserable. It urgently needs a complete cleaning and rehabilitation of the sculptures ,benches, lights and addition of various fast growing plants and trees to regain some intimacy ,and vegetal comfort ; and the vibrancy of yesteryear. The park is one of the oldest park in mangalore. Have lots of childhood memories here. Good to come here and relax. The place is good , you can sit and gossip here Not really big but hey it’s in the centre of the city. It’s a good place to visit with family and friends.

Once known for the beautiful sunsets and sunrises, the Tagore Park is now dull and less visited due to the negligence of the authorities! Have some memories in this park during my childhood. The sunsets and sunrises of this park are now lost in the pages of history,all thanks to the skyscraper which blocks the magnification view from this park which even blocks the lighthouse which once guided the mariners to the coast.

One of Mangalore's oldest and most prominent churches, Milagres has a very long history - the church was first built in the 16th century, when the Portuguese first established themselves in Mangalore. Over the centuries since, the church building was destroyed and later rebuilt several times. The current church building, a striking grey-and-white structure, dates back to 1911, though marble plaques inside, embedded into the beautiful tiled floor of the church, commemorate people from much older times, including Rt Rev Thomas de Castro (1674-1684), the founder of Milagres Church. The church has some pleasing old statuary and art (the customary twelve stations of the cross painted along the sides, for instance), and is a lovely, serene place to visit even on weekdays.
