Escape room center
Cinergy Midland Featuring EPIC is an exemplary movie theater that provides consistent and affordable quality experiences. It stands out for its cleanliness, with no sticky floors to mar your entrance. The seats are both comfortable and sanitary, ensuring a pleasant viewing experience. The snack bar prices are reasonable, as are those at the adult bar. Overall, this theater promises enjoyment for all who visit. Additionally, the staff is exceptional and the inclusion of an escape room adds excitement to the overall experience.
This place has a bar! A friend of mine came to visit me. We were looking for a bar near his hotel and we found Cinergy. We played some games and had a few drinks, prices are pretty decent, the bartender was attentive and just cool overall. I’ll be coming back soon!

Nice clean movie theater with comfortable seats, small arcade. The only thing I didn’t expect was tickets and concessions have no way to take cash. I asked if there a was a reason why and they told me they just stopped in 2020 (understandable) and just never started back. But then you consider that was 5 years ago. The only place to do cash is loading it in a prepaid arcade card.
Sarah V — Google review
Horrible customer service. I was in transit to the theatre and was going to be late to my showing. I called a total of eight times about ten minutes before my showing. I wanted to inquire if I could make it on time. No one answered the phone. I canceled my ticket as they have a strict policy about canceling prior to the event showtime. I then reordered when I figured out I could make it. Due to them having a monopoly in the area. The customer service has and always will be less than nothing. Unfortunately I will have to continue attending.
Earle C — Google review
Exciting to see movies that are recent and not here at this theater. I love their popcorn and slush drinks, and recently happy to try their ice cream. They have ice cream and ice cream sundae. I hope they sell more on their ice cream. Their food to eat is great and enjoy how they advertise their food that goes with the movie. I tried their food selections and happy to see people have too. I tried their breakfast movies too which are great and their movie sequels that go together. Happy Twlight, Harry Potter, and fun days of cheaper morning movies available for people like the movie Sing. Im looking forward to continue to visit here. Their employees are friendly, movie theater safe with security, and they seem to enjoy their job each time I have spoken to them.
Rachel K — Google review
Staff is amazing and food is delicious but I think selling seats is prioritized over making sure the customer has a great experience and isn't uncomfortable in a weird placement of a seat. Ex. placement of seat F1 in Theater 1 and stairs literally right there so one can't even recline their chair or move the table due to people needing to pass through just to get to their seat or leave. Having people cover 1/4 of the screen and placement of a seat is SUCH a turn off to what would've been a great movie experience with family minus 1. Not to mention seat 4 in F4 DOES not recline. Thank you for the raincheck for a later time but that doesn't fit the mom schedule with a little one. Disappointing experience tonight.
Debra O — Google review
This is a pretty good example of how a movie theatre should be. I have visited here maybe 12 times and the theatre is very consistent at what it does best - delivering quality affordable experiences. The theatre is super clean. I can’t stand a theatre that when you walk in your feet are slightly sticking to the floor with each step. You will not have that issue here. The chairs are comfortable and clean as well. The snack bar prices are not outlandish. Neither are the prices at the adult bar. I think you will all enjoy this theatre. Go and give it a try!!!
Nobu, M — Google review
The image quality in the Epic theater is great however theaters 2, 8, and 11 have really dim pictures. I saw Warfare in theater 2. Karate Kid Legends in theater 11, and Materialists in theater 8. Since Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning is out of Epic I will wait to see it at home rather than watch it on a dim display.

Drive-in movie theater
Movie theater
Outdoor movie theater
Big Sky Drive-In, located just outside of Midland, Texas, offers a unique outdoor movie experience with three double features nightly. The drive-in cinema is pet-friendly and boasts a large concessions menu. Visitors can enjoy the latest movies on state-of-the-art screens while relishing the beautiful Texas sky. The venue provides a clean and spacious parking lot, excellent concession stands, and multiple playgrounds for kids to enjoy.
Food was amazing. Every employee I interacted with was hard working with an amazing attitude. However, the Karen that answers the phone line was extremely rude and made sure that I knew I was wasting her time when I called simply to ask if they were taking orders for the night at 7. She was very short, and told me "I don't know what you want me to say, we open at 7." I was unaware of the operation they run, and was simply asking because I didn't know if they were prepping for the night or what. She wouldn't tell me her name because she knew she was rude enough that I was ready to do some digging and let management know. I don't ever leave bad reviews for businesses. I'm from Lamesa originally, and im never in midland on a day where I can swing by and pick up the same food that I ate when I was a child at the Sky vue drive in theater. The kitchen for ours burned down years ago, and it's nostalgic to come here and eat the food. I refuse to let this woman be the reason that the business that generously overlooks her personality and gives her a paycheck receives a 1 star rating. This food is amazing, and I've been very down lately. It was nice to escape for a moment by tasting a simpler time in my past. Not in a million years would I recommend hiring anyone as rude as this to be the face of a business. I'd put her in a coal mine. But not to answer any phone ever. I won't drop any names, because I'm sure when the business reads this, they'll know exactly who I mean.
Michael C — Google review
Fun to go to a drive-in movie. They're rare. This is a fine example of one. Food was adequate but not amazing. The lot and screen were nice. Since the sound is broadcast thru FM radio, lots of cars (and automatic lights) popped on throughout the show. That was annoying. Some people were more considerate than others about turning them off quickly. I recommend you bring a FM radio so you don't have to use the car radio. The weather was perfect to sit out in lawn chairs. They also allow you to bring your own food and drink. We'll probably do that next time.
Annette S — Google review
Paid 80.00 to watch a movie but some guy thought his truck need to idle he had a muffler system on it so it was extremely loud almost the whole movie they was sitting in the back of the truck not inside of it so I went inside and the staff was sweet and really respectful but he said there wasn't much he could due.
Barbara S — Google review
What a great experience! I can't wait to come back with my kids! It's a shame there are so few Drive-in Theaters anymore, this place was fantastic! Super clean, the staff were friendly, tickets are extremely reasonable. Kudos to the owners for keeping this place alive and well!!
Brandon B — Google review
First time going to this drive-in, and it was great. Everything was clean, and prices were very fair for a double feature. Loved how they had a playground by the concession area.
Kassandra M — Google review
Love this place! Reminds me of back home and takes me back to childhood! Though where I'm from we didn't have playgrounds for the kids which is a bonus! They have a playground in front of each screen and by the snack shop! Always a good time when we come!
Shawna C — Google review
Overall the double feature was awesome and the grounds looked clean. Some lighting for when we walked to the concessions would be nice and if they had all the items kn the menu. Definitely a good spot to take the family or a date night.
Frank S — Google review
This place is awesome 😎 📽️🍿 Had a great time with my son There is a playground area for kids to play while movie begins You got to get there early to get a good spot Great price for not only one movie but two The concession stand is also good Prices are very fair food is also very good You are allowed to take outside food and drinks too. Will be visiting this place very often!!!

Beal Park

City park
Park
Beal Park is a spacious recreational area that offers various amenities for people of all ages. It boasts a playground, sports facilities, an off-leash dog park, and a fishing pond. This park is ideal for dog owners who can take their furry friends for walks or let them roam freely in the designated areas. Additionally, families can enjoy quality time together by fishing at the pond using catch and release methods.
Great place to go relax around the pond or the kids can play in the play area plus there is a dog park as well. If the fish were a little bigger they would be great fillet size.
Michael W — Google review
We’re visiting my husband who works here in Midland and I tried to find a place to take my son fishing. This pond is supposedly stocked with bass, crappie, and trout. There were a lot of people fishing. He didn’t catch anything after about an hour and we didn’t see anyone else catch anything. Maybe this park used to be nice, but there was trash everywhere and dead wildlife possibly from the trash. It was sad to see. People had carved into the bark of most of the trees. I hope they clean this up one day because it has a lot of potential and there really aren’t any other good places to fish around here.
Lauren A — Google review
Good for catfish catch and release fishing. Just try not to let the turtles take all your bait. Be prepared to take a long hike to use a restroom. The good thing is they do have some covered picnic table areas
Dan A — Google review
really like this park — it’s clean, open, and usually a great spot to relax or take a walk. The layout is nice, and it’s one of the better-kept parks in Midland. Lately, though, it’s been a lot busier than usual with traffic from the baseball games and nearby construction. It can get a little hectic at times, especially on weekends. Still, once things calm down, it’s a great place to unwind and enjoy some fresh air.
Ivan M — Google review
Clean... dog park...skateboard park .. basketball... and now they adding soccer fields and making it even better .. I can ride my e bike there .. Great running trail... ohh yeah and pond .... the only thing I would add it more benches and picnic spots.
Crystal L — Google review
Very nice! Has a pond with friendly ducks, plenty of path for walking, 2 baseball fields, and a dog park.
Diana S — Google review
Great place to go take your dog for a walk or even spend time.with the family fishing at the pond(catch and release). They ha e a soccer complex, Basball fields, a small and large dog park and the Sam William skate park. One thing this place is missing is a frisbee golf course. It perfect for such a park.
Roy A — Google review
We recently moved here and I would have never expected for this small Oasis to be so close to my neighborhood. There is fun for all ages. There is a playground, basketball courts, a skate park, a pond (with ducks), doggy park, hiking trails and a gazebo. We went on a Sunday evening and as expected it was busy but there was still plenty of parking and room to walk and play. It was a bit difficult to find bit there are several small streets leading up to it. I definitely recommend visiting especially if you have kids or doggies. It is a very pretty place. I do advice taking some lawn chairs as there is not a lot of space to sit.

Momentum Bank Ballpark

Stadium
Momentum Bank Ballpark is an excellent destination for family activities and sports enthusiasts. While it may benefit from a cooling system during hot summer days, the limited splash pad provides some relief. Nonetheless, visitors can still enjoy a fantastic time at the park and are likely to return for more fun. The area surrounding the stadium offers numerous accommodations and dining options, adding convenience to the overall experience. The seating throughout the venue is comfortable, ensuring a pleasant viewing experience for everyone.
This ballpark really punches above it's weight for what it is. Nice little Double-A ballpark but has great amenities for its size. Not a bad seat in the house, most seats are shaded for night games with the way they built the stadium. The food options are better than you would expect and the field looks shocking green and well kept for the climate that it's located in. Ticket prices are great, very affordable to catch a ballgame in the basin!
Trinity M — Google review
We had a blast at the game, including our kids who are not into sports. Parking was free, with no long lines, and we got to take pics with both mascots. The only downside was we couldn't use cash at the concession stand its cards only, and purses have to be clear, so now I have to get one for future games.
Kassandra M — Google review
Went to my first Rockhounds game tonight. Went as a guest in one of the suites. Food was decent, Suite 15 offers great seats. Rockhounds won by a lot, so the actual game itself was not very exciting. The facility is decent. I recommend going at least once.
Buddy P — Google review
Really nice ballpark, easy to find and get to. Home to the Midland Rockhounds. They are an affiliate of the Oakland A’s. I went to watch them play the Frisco Roughriders and got there about fourth inning. Only tickets left were the $14.83 lawn seating only. If you want to drink when you get in you have to go to a stand where a sheriff is and get a wristband to show you’re 21+. After getting a $10 beer I saw there were a lot of seats behind home plate open. Just walked down there like I belonged there and sat down. No one asked me for my ticket and watched the entire game from there. Support local!

This was a great experience. Visiting my son for the weekend and we caught a minor league game here. Park is very nice. Seating is awesome. Food court is spot on with lots of verity. Field looks amazing.
Tommy C — Google review
Very nice place. Good seats everywhere. Beer is pricey but plentiful. Food is decent but lines can be long later in the game. Rockhounds are a great team. Fun for the whole family. A must go if able. Fun for all. Good for everyone, go, relax and soak up the atmosphere.
Terry G — Google review
Great ballpark, great view from all the seating areas. Our first time here & we will definitely be back. Plus it was a good game as well. A must see/visit. Thanks Rockhounds...

The Midland County Horseshoe Arena, situated in Midland, Texas, is a prominent venue that has been hosting a wide array of events since its establishment in 2006. With over 3,000 events and more than 2 million guests, it has become a sought-after destination for championship rodeos, equestrian competitions, concerts, sporting events, trade shows, conventions, community gatherings and wedding receptions.
I've yet to understand why there's not bigger and more events held here. I really enjoyed it, it's a large area and several smaller building for events. Gives you sort of a bigger city vibe stadium. I've only been here once for a truck show and everything was a pretty good experience.
Pierres C — Google review
I loved this venue for our Hunting and Fishing Extravaganza. It felt so homey! The staff was amazing and treated us like family. The free & easy access parking, the spotlessly clean rooms, and the well laid out facilities made it so easy for our vendors and visitors to get in and out without hold ups. I loved that outside venue tacked right on the side of the building so we could host our evening concert under the stars! I was a small cog in the machine for this event but I enjoyed this venue immensely.

This is a great venue for Midland. Beautiful building inside and out. So much space and easy in and out access. Plenty of parking. Huge inside. Plenty of bathrooms as well. Clean and well maintained building.

This is a super nice venue but I got totally lost trying to find my way out..I was the last vendor to get loaded to head for home and I don't have a clue at where all I drove in the parking lot searching for my way out. Lol..might have something to do with being ,80 years old and blind in one eye or maybe being senile contributed to it. Always have a great time attending the events held there. And appreciate the courtesy always extended by Monty and Kim. What a great couple and always helpful.

City park
Wadley-Barron Park is a charming 7.3-acre park in Midland, offering grassy knolls and a serene duck pond. It's an ideal spot for various activities such as evening barbecues, early morning strolls, or after-school picnics. Visitors can enjoy watching ducks and turtles around the pond while taking in the picturesque landscape. The park provides benches for relaxation and maintains a pleasant atmosphere with well-kept surroundings.
This a nice park. Not a lot of parks with lakes here in Midland. Best to go here during the early morning or closer to sun down to avoid the heat during the middle of the day. There are a lot of ducks and if your lucky get to see a lot of turtles too swimming around or by the shore sun bathing.

My dog and I enjoy being outdoors and this park has it all. Quiet and close to my place. My dog loves to watch the ducks (not chase) ha!
Dan M — Google review
Please Please do NOT feed the ducks bread!!! They should fine people doing so. There are signs all over, in English and Spanish, but people ignore them. It creates green algae and makes the ducks sick.
Josie C — Google review
The place is very nice and quiet. I went with my 6 year old son and we brought food suitable for ducks. My son really enjoyed it. Please do not feed the Ducks with breads, it is harmful for them as they contain excessive amounts of calories and carbohydrates that can make the ducks sick.

Buffalo Jo's

$$$$cheap
Chicken wings restaurant
Buffalo Jo's is a classic Midland spot located at the bottom of the Petroleum Building, offering homemade soups and sandwiches. It's known for its tasty chicken salad and pimiento cheese sandwich. The appetizers are top-notch, with loaded buffalo fries and perfectly fried pickles that leave you wanting more. This hidden gem in downtown Midland is a go-to spot for wings, offering a variety of flavors to choose from.
I had a great experience at Buffalo Jo's! The food was amazing — the buffalo wings were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of heat, and the burgers were juicy and flavorful. What really made the visit stand out was the exceptional customer service. Chelsea was awesome — friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. Definitely recommend this spot if you're craving wings or a good burger. I'll be back for sure!
James Á — Google review
From my understanding Buffalo Jo's isn't new and is there new location. For starters it is very welcoming when you walk in. It's casual and laid back so that's a good thing. The dining area is a nice size. The tables and chairs have seen better days but something that can easily be upgraded over time and for whatever reason the table was sticky. We ordered the Buffalo Fries as an appetizer and came out pretty quick but had a little too much sauce in my opinion. We decided to get bone and boneless wings which the flavors were all very good. It's a pretty cool place and definitely worth supporting.
John F — Google review
Great wings. Cold beverages. Dining room is a bit run down and the bathroom is desperately in need of a deep cleaning. However the wings are hot and delicious.
Han S — Google review
I was working just down the road from here and saw this place was really close and decided to give it a go. I had the pepperoni pizza that wasn't bad. But my highlight was definitely the wings. I got hot honey and the buffalo. Both were really good, cooked just right, crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The size was way bigger than you'd find at the chain, I was really surprised at how big they were. I'm not from this area but it feels like they are out in the middle of nowhere, I hope they get the community support they deserve! I will be coming back to this place.
Juan R — Google review
I usually don't write too many reviews. But this one was definitely worth it i've never been to this place before. I was just passing through and I stopped in and tried their wings they are some of the best wings I have ever had in my opinion better than wing stop they were very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and they have a lemon pepper buffalo sauce that is the best I've tasted friendly people quiet place 😋
Kenneth B — Google review
If you got time go here. Waited 1 hr for 8 wings. Was told there was no xx but person next to me got a bucket of them. If you don't wanna drink alone. The bartenders will drink with you from what I saw.
Juan V — Google review
I ordered a burger, and truffle fries. Fantastic. Well seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The waitress seemed new, and I struggled hearing her over the music. Probably my fault but it happened. Slight mixup on the check but mistakes happen. Ill take my wife there when I'm in midland again. Its expensive but you get what you pay for.

Great place and good food our server ,Chelsea is the best! Super friendly, quick, and made us feel right at home. Our drinks were never empty, food came out fast, and she kept us laughing the whole time. If you go to Buffalo Joe’s, ask for her—you won’t regret it!

Nestled in the heart of Midland, Texas, King & is a delightful Thai restaurant that invites you to indulge in the vibrant flavors of traditional Thai cuisine. With a menu brimming with an array of dishes—from aromatic curries and savory stir-fries to delectable noodle creations—this eatery captures the essence of Thailand's culinary heritage. The inviting atmosphere makes it an ideal choice for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings with friends.
Absolutely the best Thai in West Texas!! I’ve been coming here for years and always eat before I think to take a few pics for a review! Service is always great. And the food is always up to Popcorn’s highest standards.

Fried rice steak and chicken, I really love crunchy rice and microwaved chicken and steak. Also I ordered lettuce wrap and the dish was over powered by cilantro hmmm maybe that was on purpose. Could just be my taste buds not agreeing. But still come and try it out for yourself everybody taste buds are different.
Be L — Google review
First off the food is incredible. My personal favorite dish is the chicken curry, but we tried many different dishes along with appetizers and they were all a hit. Second is the atmosphere of the place. It didn’t feel like I walked into a restaurant, it felt like I was welcomed into someone’s home. The owner, nicknamed Popcorn, has the whole place decorated with pictures of family and community that really add to the warm and cozy vibe. Another interesting piece of decor are these medals and bib numbers that you can see all over the place that Popcorn has earned through the many marathons he’s participated in. There are not many places that feel as special as this place, I recommend everyone to come and try King & I.

I asked our server if they had Garlic Tofu. She stated that it used to be in their menu. She asked the chef and they prepared it for me. It was so delicious! The chef/owner then came out and checked to see if I had liked it! Great place, great food. Outstanding service!

Came to this restaurant few days ago to try it out. It was alright, not the bold favor I'm use to, parts of my food were a lil cold especially my shrimp. Seemed to be a lil watered down in our opinion🤷🏾‍♂️. RESPONDING TO OWNER: Cold food meets no ones expectation.

Have been going here for years and the service/food has went downhill. The spring rolls the past two times we ordered were rotten. The sister or sister in law to the owner has the absolute worst attitude and definetly ran off a loyal customer.

Seafood restaurant
Nestled in a charming barn-like setting, Clear Springs Restaurant is a delightful destination for seafood lovers and steak enthusiasts alike. With an extensive menu that features everything from grilled to fried options, this eatery caters to diverse palates. Signature dishes like Blackened Catfish and Cornmeal Crusted Trout showcase the restaurant's commitment to quality seafood, while their famous onion rings add a crispy touch to any meal.
The food atmosphere is awesome! The restaurant is very well decorated and open. The food is really good and reasonably priced with large portions for the money. Good happy hour specials. The staff is very friendly coupled with fast service. I will be a repeat customer.

While my seat was a little awkward, facing the bathrooms. The waitstaff was very attentive and helpful. Food was served in a timely manner. I did lack a refill on my drink but one glass was just the right amount. Overall one of those home cooked meals places that serves good food with great staff at the right price. Just do away with the bathroom table.

I had the seafood grill. Catfish and shrimp brochette was delicious. Fried pickles were good also. My husband had the gumbo. He said it was really good too. For a Saturday night we were seated fast and our food was quick.

By chance was staying at a hotel next door to the restaurant so I gave it a go. I started with a bowl of the Jalapeño Crawfish Chowder, which was solid, and ordered the Cicken Fried Chicken with sides of Creamy Cole Slaw and Garlic Mashed Potatoes - the Best Chicken Fried Chicken I’ve ever had, by far. The gravy is also amazing and ordered a little extra gravy for the potatoes. Suggest you give it a try!

Had a local business refer us to Clear Springs Restaurant and I’m so glad he did. I ordered the grilled shrimp tacos. They were perfect! Was worried I’d be disappointed with a bunch of coleslaw juice making the tortillas soggy like most places but I wasn’t-like I said…perfect! Nice waitress and clean place!

The chicken fried steak, green beans and garlic mashed potatoes were great. And they piled the potatoes on. Thank you 😋🙇 Service was great. CSR, take care of Ashley B, she was on it tonight ⚡

This is a theme-type restaurant, in my opinion. It has This western charm with high ceilings, artifacts, and western type cuisine. I can't complain about the food, it was excellent. The service was questionable. We were seated right away, but we had to have been there 10 minutes before someone finally came by to take our order. I didn't get her name, but she was so business like and wasn't even willing to engage in social conversation. Even after we got our food, you would ask her for something, and she would respond while walking away and not even stopping to make conversation with you. I was in the middle of a sentence, and she was gone. This was at about 2:00 pm, after a lunch rush. It wasn't that busy, but it would have been nice if the waitress would slow down enough to at least care what the customer needs. As a theme restaurant, it would have been nice to have a better experience, but I don't think we'll be back to this regional chain despite the excellent ambiance and food. Customer service is very important to me, and if it is to you, think about it

Garlic Press is a popular dining spot in Midland, known for its elegant atmosphere and delicious food. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Diners have praised the freshness and seasoning of the dishes, particularly highlighting the perfectly cooked scallops, flavorful risotto, and delectable banana pudding cheesecake.
We've heard good things about this place since we've come to Midland, and I'm actually pretty impressed with Garlic Press. All the staff were very nice and attentive, we came during dinner rush on a Saturday and our waiter never missed a beat. Everything came out at a good time. Everything we ordered was very fresh, well seasoned and constructed. Scallops were cooked perfectly, and delicious. Risotto was out of this world. The banana pudding cheesecake was hands down one of the best cheesecake I've ever had. The only things that we didn't like were just preference things, but everything down to the flavored oil and bread tasted great. They even had really good water. and yeah it's expensive... But I'd say it's worth it for a special occasion. Look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. Edit: their brunch is fantastic too!

We had a PERFECT experience at Garlic Press. From the moment the staff unlocked the front door and welcomed us in, service was superb. Our waitress was so friendly and knowledgeable about menu items as it was our first visit. Enjoyed the meat all appetizer. The bread was a lovely touch with the garlic and press. I had the Corvina fish. I've never heard of it but the taste was amazing. Risotto with pumpkin seeds was delicious. Can't wait to return and try the wine menu. Please visit this gem in Midland.

I absolutely loved my first experience there. Our waitress was Naya and she was the absolute best! We were seated quickly served quickly and her personality was just so bright and shining. The food was amazing. Whenever we are back in town this will definitely be a spot we go visit!

Garlic press is a jack of all trades experience. My party of 4 had a 5:30 reservation, arrive about 10 minutes early, and were promptly seated. The server was at our table in seconds pouring water and offering other beverages. Food service was just a tad on the slow side but not too big a deal as we were all wrapped up in our conversations. Food was delicious! From our their signature garlic bread appetizer to our desserts, nothing disappointed. Highly recommend the Fried Okra Salad and Cajun Shrimp. They do have a fairly extensive wine list as well for those who care to partake. The atmosphere is small and intimate. Perfectly suited for a romantic dinner or, in our case, a dinner with another couple. As far as I can serve, the restaurant wouldn't be ideal for table over 4 but, they can accommodate with proper advance notice. This is my 3rd or 4th time here and they have been consistent every time. Spent a little over $50 person but, that included salad, entrée, and dessert (sorry, forgot to get pictures of desserts but, they were great). I definitely recommend checking this place out. Dishes Pictured: Boar Osso Bucco, Ribeye Lollipop, and Cajun Shrimp

The Garlic Press has great food. I wanted to treat myself with a nice meal while working in Midland and went here. I’m so glad I did! I ordered the jalapeño shrimp pasta, a glass of wine, and the crème brûlée. So good!

The Garlic Press is a nice little restaurant to enjoy a different type of food and flavor! We enjoy heading to the GP for our Anniversary Dinner choice. Theres always something on the menu we want to try or love. Never a disappointment for us! Today we started out with Calamari and the bread. Great taste! For our main course we had the Ribeye Steak and Halibut Dinners. The Yams and the Risotto Cakes are delicious! Do not skip out on dessert! Our all time fave is the Creme Brûlée but today we decided to order a Flourless Chocolate Cake and a Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding to go. Amazing!!! Yes...I forgot to take a picture of the meal but here is the best part!

This place came highly recommended and we were so disappointed. We didn't even get to eat the meal we ordered. I would have given 1 star except once we got the appetizers they were really tasty and the manager was pretty cool in dealing with the situation. * Our server wouldn't make eye contact * Brought our drinks without ice * Appetizers took 45 minutes * server forgot to put our order in. After an hour of waiting for the main course we had to go. Paid for the one appetizer and left. We won't be coming back

With over 150 live performances annually, the center attracts national acts such as Cirque du Soleil and world-famous musicians like ZZ Top.
Beautiful venue!! We came here from the southeast panhandle to see one of our favorites, The Panhandlers and Tyler Halverson! It was a fantastic concert! Everyone was well behaved & could see the concert. Seats were comfortable. Beverage prices were a bit much, but I suppose that's to be expected at such a place. All in all it was a great time & I'd go back again

Good experience, getting inside the event was fast, they have a little bar, clean bathrooms, nice theater, chairs are a little tight and no cup holders, with everyone having drinks, cup holders need to be added. But it's a nice place and I like it! They have a liquor bar too, cranberry Vodka, crown n coke, snacks, beer etc!

Honestly The venue itself is fine, but the bartending staff completely ruined the experience. I had to repeat my drink order multiple times, waited in line so long I missed 30 minutes of the show, and then was randomly cut off for no reason. The bartender taking my order was dismissive, unprofessional, and clearly didn’t care. Terrible service from the bar staff — definitely needs to be addressed.

The seats are very very comfortable and cushy! The facility is very clean, modern, and you get a good view of the stage performers anywhere you sit. The bathrooms are very clean and there's plenty of stalls! We saw The Greatest Love Of All The Whitney Houston Show by Belinda Davids and she was great!!! So impressed with her singing and so happy we went!!!

City park
Park
Outdoor recreation area with baseball diamonds & sports fields, plus a pond & play equipment.
Nice park where I take my dog on a regular basis and he enjoys going to. There are 2 football/ soccer fields, numerous baseball/ softball fields and batting/ pitching cages with conveniently located concession stands and restrooms with plenty of trees and canopies for shade. There's a playground with a pond nearby where you can go fishing or just work on your casting skills. I was starting to think that there were no fish but I've caught 3 catfish out of the dozen times I fished. There are plenty of turtles and ducks. They have a walking trail and sidewalks with multiple parking lots with different access points. Best of all it's walking distance from my house!! It would be cool if it had a tennis/ basketball court or possibly add one. I'd also like to add that the City of Midland does an awesome job at keeping the park clean and the grounds well-maintained.
John F — Google review
Awesome park. It looks like some things were broken, unfortunately. Overall still a good park.
Lu P — Google review
Nice place but without too many shadow spots. It has a playground big enough very clean and well conserved. It has a fishing small lagoon with catfish and troutfish. There are plenty ducks and turtles. As soon as you get close to the lagoon the ducks come to you looking to be fed. You need fishing license according to a sign placed there. Not too many people around. Looks very quiet
Joanna D — Google review
The City of Midland needs to consider the needs of the community and update this park. The Sports fields aren’t being used everyday. Completing the sidewalk on League Street and Crowley Street would be a great start. Taking out the mini football field on Crowley and adding a Dog park would be a huge improvement. Inadequate covered picnic areas and benches. Also let’s be real the playground could be bigger and better. This is Family land and this place could be MORE family friendly.

This park was easy to find. It has a small fishing lake and a play area with swings and slides. Best of all, they had decent bathrooms that were open

Astound Broadband Stadium is an impressive venue with eye-catching turf that allows for easy identification of team locations. Although it receives high praise, there are a few areas for improvement. The scoreboards can be unreliable, which can be frustrating considering the stadium's modernity. Additionally, the absence of bathrooms near the Red and Yellow Fields requires visitors to leave the gated area and travel to Rockhounds Stadium, which is inconvenient. Nonetheless, Astound Broadband Stadium offers a pleasant experience overall.
This is a very nice stadium! It is setup great and easy to get to. They have several concession stands setup in the concourse and the seating is comfortable. The screen and scoreboard is easy to see from every angle. We attend Midland Lee High School games here and it is a great experience every time.

Talk about Texas size football complex. Lots of hotels walking distance from the complex. Great place to check out a football or some baseball.
Mario K — Google review
Not a fan of cashless places, especially when a service charge or fee is added to cost of ticket, but cash option isn't available. Also, concession prices are high, and restrooms are extremely hot, even when temp outside is much cooler
Don V — Google review
The good- The Turf is fabulous! The colors around the fields make it easy to know where your team is playing. The reason for only 4 stars.. The scoreboards don’t always work, and that is frustrating in a new complex. This would totally be a 5 out of 5 if the city would add a set of Bathrooms to the Red and Yellow Fields. Right now, you have to leave the gated area and head to an open far in the Rockhounds Stadium...not very convenient!

Stage was in the outfield, seeing performers was impossible except on the big screen, which why pay the high prices if you can watch an tv for free. Drinks were way over priced. I always enjoy going to a baseball game unless we lose of course. Concession prices are going up, but that's almost expected. I purchased a draft beer that was warm. I don't know why they can't serve cold beer. And I still don't like the cashless Policy they have now.

Overall, the experience at Don Tomás Café was fantastic, but be prepared for a wait as it is a popular place, especially on weekends. I arrived around 11:30 and ended up getting their brunch burritos from the lunch menu. Unfortunately, they didn't have the Chile relleno burrito that I wanted to try, so I settled for a breakfast chorizo, papa, and egg burrito instead. It was huge and absolutely delicious.
Down Thomas has great authentic food they have breakfast burritos and lunch This is a awesome place to go by yourself or with a group or food to go home. There's absolutely nothing wrong you can order here everything on the menu is awesome!

Second update: I've gone several times after this, and pleased to say there hasn't been another issue like the first post. Very happy. UPDATE! It's been a year since I had the experience underneath. I was back in town, and decided to give this restaurant another try. I am extremely happy to say this time around, they did a fantastic job. Ordered the same thing that I always do. Egg, bacon, extra bacon and beans. Nothing else. The order was made exactly how I like it, and what I was more impressed with was the thickness of the burrito, and the taste of the food, especially the bacon. Some restaurants cut very fine pieces of bacon and pass it off as a full strip, but this burrito had well cooked chunks of bacon. I've updated a photo as well. The price is very fair for what you get. Obviously it's a very busy location, especially on Saturday, but even with that, my wait wasn't too long. I like to commend the restaurant for reaching out to me before to make things right the first time. I didn't tell them I was coming back; I wanted to see how the experience would be the second time around. And it was a great one. Thank you, I will definitely be back. Good food, and I know it was a Saturday so busy, but they should try to look a little more carefully at the order. Paid for extra bacon, but seemed just got the same amount from the pre-made egg and bacon tin. There was a good amount on it so maybe in wrong. Also, I didn't want cheese, and that's what they put on there. The food is delicious, the people are very friendly, so just maybe one of those things where everybody is busy, but nevertheless, I would have preferred to have the order done correctly and had extra bacon actually added on to it. Next time I'm in town, I'll still go by, but I'll double check my order before I leave.

Don Tomas Cafe in Midland, Texas, is the kind of place that invites you in with the promise of a rich, authentic embrace of Mexican culinary traditions, and then delivers on that promise with heartwarming sincerity. Walking in, the aroma of simmering spices and roasting peppers envelopes you, immediately transporting you beyond the borders of West Texas and straight into the vibrant kitchens of Mexico. Their specialty, the Chile Verde plate, is a masterpiece of comfort and depth. Tender pork, slow-cooked to perfection, is bathed in a lush, tangy tomatillo sauce that strikes the perfect balance between heat and flavor. It's not just a dish; it’s a narrative of tradition, patience, and the slow unfurling of layered tastes that speak of home and heritage. Each bite is a reminder of why some recipes are worth preserving through generations. Then, there are the Chile Verde burritos. These substantial beauties are wrapped in soft, fresh tortillas that provide the ideal counterpoint to the rich filling. The generous portion of Chile Verde inside is bold and unapologetic, the flavors robust and unapologetically authentic. It's clear the folks at Don Tomas Cafe take pride in their food, and it's reflected in every mouthful. The atmosphere of Don Tomas is unpretentious and welcoming, a true gathering place where conversations flow as freely as the Horchata. It’s not just about the food, but the experience of communal dining, of being part of a tradition that goes beyond what’s on your plate. Midland might be known for its oil fields, but places like Don Tomas Cafe are the real gems. They capture the essence of hospitality and culinary artistry that makes even a simple meal feel like a grand feast. If you find yourself in this corner of Texas, do yourself a favor and let Don Tomas Cafe remind you of the power of good food, made with love, in bringing people together.

Restaurant
Doris J's Kitchen, located at 4200 West Illinois Ste 160 Midland, Texas, offers a soulful dining experience reminiscent of Sweetie Pie vibes. The friendly service and warm smiles upon entering set the tone for a delightful meal. Whether dining in or taking out, guests are welcomed with attentive hospitality. The menu boasts made-to-order dishes served piping hot and fresh from the pot.
I have visited Doris around 4 to 5 times while staying in Midland for work. The food is excellent, offering generous portions for the price. My go-to dish is the fried chicken, which never fails to impress. Another favorite of mine is the ox tails, but they are only available on Sundays and Fridays, which is disappointing because I could eat them every day! Their muffin-sized cornbread is simply amazing. I'm usually not a fan of cornbread, but they have won me over with theirs—it's that good. The customer service is decent, with everyone I encountered being friendly. The only downside is the lack of air conditioning, making it a bit warm inside. Overall, I would rate this place 8.2 out of 10.

Stopped in today with my big brother while we were out here in Midland. We both ordered fried chicken with macaroni and cheese green beans yams and broccoli cheese rice. Everything was amazing. Service was a little slow because they were short-staffed but that was to be expected same thing with waiting for the food 15 minutes because of course I have to fry chicken fresh it was definitely worth the wait. Definitely needed that for this drive home. But we definitely will stop back through here when we come back this way.

We ate here when it first opened and were seated quickly. The Kool-Aid wasn’t too sweet—it was just right. Our food came out fast with generous portions, and everything was delicious. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the AC was out, so it was a bit warm inside (though they did have large industrial fans running to help). Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the food, and this spot is definitely worth checking out.

No wait time for dinner on a Saturday in Midland, TX to be seated and order? Exactly! We walked-in, were greeted, we chose our table, and were given menus. This restaurant serves slow-cooked meals that are flavorful, delicious, and definitely worth the wait. There are certain dishes that are only cooked on certain days, so please be mindful when ordering off the menu. Their portions are huge and satisfying. Plus, you get 3 sides! If we had eaten lunch earlier in the day, we would have had plenty of leftovers to take home. I cannot stop raving about the food, our meals were fantastic! We ordered (1) Meatloaf dinner- corn, mashed potatoes with brown gravy & green beans; (2) Smothered Pork chops dinner- macaroni & cheese, broccoli rice casserole & triple greens; (3) Corndog bites with fries. Our meals were served hot, made-to-order, full of flavor, and just what we were craving for dinner. We will be returning to eat again.

The employees/servers are super nice and accommodating. But the best part is the food! There is not a thing on the menu that deserves less than 5 stars. Make sure you go Friday or Sunday and have the oxtail! Almost equally good is the meatloaf and smothered pork chops, and as a side, cornbread casserole, fried cabbage and fried okra can't be beat. We go here every time we're in town..

While visiting to Midland i decided to take out at Doris J’s for my first time here and it blew my expectations from how generous the prices were for the meals and individual items. Customer service was spectacular at the front and my order was done quick and ready for take out, and by far the meat loaf was very very good when I say it. The sides were also great, decent rice, gravy mashed potatoes were great, and the mac and cheese slight cheesy had flavor to keep eating it. And the banana pudding was also very tasty as well, I’d say the only thing that could hinder the experience is the inside around, if some music or decor was added, it’ll add a nice touch to the place. Overall great food and customer service and is always best in my book with portions also very very great to add in. Would totally recommend this local soul food restaurant.

Day 3

Off the beaten path
For day 3, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Dennis the Menace Park. Not quite as popular as Museum of the Southwest, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Dennis the Menace Park

Park
Dennis the Menace Park is a vibrant 4-acre park that has been a beloved attraction since its creation in the 1950s. It was one of the first adventure playgrounds in the country and continues to be popular. The park features colorful play areas inspired by Dennis the Menace comic strips, with modernized elements for inclusive play spaces. It offers multiple playgrounds for different age groups, swings, picnic areas, BBQ pits, pavilions, and restrooms.
Nice park to take kids to. Has four play areas (one is wheelchair accessible), splash pad/with play area, work-out equipment, and restrooms. You will often see ice-cream trucks in the parking lot at the park. Overall it is a good place for kids.

I've visited this park a lot through out my life and the upgrades are awesome. Very nice park I would definitely recommend you coming here to play or for birthday party's. And they have restrooms.
Ambrecia G — Google review
We stumbled upon this park while visiting some family. The park has several playgrounds and a small water play and slide section. There’s not a lot of shade so the slides get very hot! My kiddos had a great time playing. The upkeep could be better, especially near the water park areas, and restrooms.
Melissa Y — Google review
Dennis the Menace Park is one of the best family spots in Midland! The park has around five different playground areas, so kids of all ages have something to enjoy. There’s also a splash park, which makes it perfect for hot days. We love that it’s fully fenced in for safety and always looks well taken care of. Clean, fun, and plenty of space to play. It’s a great place to bring the kids and spend a few hours. Definitely recommend for families in the area!

Great place for kids. We just to see the park and take some pics. There's also a splash park but it's closed on Thursday.
Gerald C — Google review
Great park with a variety of play structures. There are plenty of shaded areas as well as clean restrooms. The splash pad is one of the best I have ever been to, especially for being free to the community. My 3 and 6 year old had a blast!
William T — Google review
From out of town, with no kids, I had to pull over and take a look at this amazing park. Named for the comic book character, Dennis the Menace, there are a number of themed playgrounds here. They include a plane, a train, a treehouse, and a ballpark. Additionally, there's a pirate themed splash pad. They all seem to incorporate elements from Dennis the Menace's adventures in the comics. This is an inclusive park with something for everyone of all capabilities.

My kids live this park it’s a great place for the summer it has 4 playgrounds in one also a splash zone where the kiddos can get wet and there is only one entry and exit amazing

Event venue
The Museum of the Southwest, located in Midland, Texas, is housed in the historic 1934 Turner Mansion and offers a diverse range of exhibits showcasing regional art, culture, science, and archaeology. Visitors can explore the Marian Blakemore Planetarium for daily presentations, the Turner Memorial Art Gallery with rotating exhibits, and the Fredda Turner Durham Children's Museum featuring interactive displays for kids.
UPDATE Dec 2024:We came back for another visit and well worth it. Visited the planetarium this time along with the Turner house with new showings. Be sure to stop by. Posted some new photos of art exhibits. 2022: This was a real treat for us. We were looking for something to do in-between evening visits with relatives over the weekend. Senior price made it very to pay for tour. There is main building and connecting Turner House to visit. The Turner house built back in the 1930s lets you know how those with the bucks built a large house. The interior furnishings are gone replaced by the art and details about the Turner family (twice Kentucky Derby winner for one thing). There are separate buildings for the kids and be sure to visit the scale model trains running in the depot. On Sat until noon there is a separate vendor fair to shop.

My family and I absolutely love the Children’s Museum at the Museum of the Southwest in Midland, Texas. We’ve visited on both paid days and Free Sundays, and it’s always been a fantastic experience. I have a 3-year-old and a 13-year-old, and I’ve been bringing them since they were little. They both enjoy exploring the entire space, engaging with all the interactive exhibits. My youngest son had an absolute blast, and my oldest still loves it just as much. One of the highlights for us is the train shack outside, which especially captured my oldest’s attention. The staff member there was enthusiastic, taking the time to play “I Spy” with the kids, which truly enhanced our experience. The staff is friendly, and the museum is always clean, making it a comfortable and welcoming environment for families. For adults, the art displays are stunning. Every time we visit, there’s something new, and the exhibits never fail to amaze. Even my kids love to engage with the art and statues, which is wonderful to see. We always make sure to visit the planetarium building too, it’s a must! I’m so thankful that Midland, Texas, has such enriching places like this for our kids to enjoy and learn. We will continue to make this a family tradition for years to come.

Really great a good mix of indoor & outdoor interactive installations. Things for kids & adults. We particularly enjoyed finding out abt the history of Midland.
Jennifer P — Google review
Nice place to visit, but misnamed. It's not a museum; it's an art gallery and has little to do with the Southwest other than being physically located in Texas. The mansion is nice, but it's not set up as a house but rather more of the art gallery. Price is reasonable and includes the children's museum and planetarium. They might want to change the name to the "Turner Gallery" or something that is a little more accurate to describe the place.

First time visiting Midland, TX and came across this hidden gem!! Amazing photography exhibit of photography from Frida Kahlo's collection and several pieces of artist Tom Lea's awesome work!!

The farmers market is here every Saturday for the summer. What a find. Buy some homemade watermelon jam, some fresh bread, and sit under a shady tree outside the beautiful building to eat it! What more can one need Saturday morning. Oh yeah, and there's an entire museum/planetarium here too.

The Bush Family Home State Historic Site offers guided tours of the humble residence where both the 41st and 43rd U.S. Presidents resided from 1951 to 1955. The historical tour is enjoyable and provides insights into this cultural destination. With a considerate tour guide, minimal waiting time due to low visitor numbers, and an overall worthwhile experience, it receives a top rating.
You have to check in and buy tickets across the street at the “house” behind the Texas Mural. We had a guided tour and he gave great information and was able to answer all of our questions. There was information about the towns of Midland and Odessa and a wall about baseball of course. My husband, newly retired Airman, said twice, “It’s not every day you get to see the childhood home and bedroom of your Commander and Chief.” It was a neat experience.

The Bush Family Home in Midland and the adjacent library with memorabilia were wonderful. It was a trip down nostalgia lane and a great insight into the families of two of our famous presidents. Highly Recommended!!!

It was fun and loved the historical tour, and the tour guide was really nice and since there is like 2-4 people there an hour you don’t have to worry about waiting a long time (just pay and you don’t have to wait at all) and overall it was worth it. That’s why I give this place 5 Stars

Pretty cool small museum. Nice location with easy access. Plenty of street parking. Beautiful area with lots of great history. Learned a lot of interesting things at this place. Definitely recommend a quick visit if you are in the area.
Rad — Google review
We spent an informative hour touring the home. My wife and I were the only people on the tour, so we were able to ask lots of questions. Our guide was knowledgeable and very patient with us. Although he wasn't my favorite president, I always find that visiting their homes gives me a better understanding of the person that they became. There is no substitute for seeing the place itself, so you can get some hands-on history. This modest home, although upscale for 1950 Midland Texas, left me with a strong impression, stronger than any biography. Someone commented that there isn't a lot of history here. I disagree. There is a huge amount of history here. This home has been lovingly restored to the original condition, filled with period pieces, and appears very much like the original photos. I loved the 1950 refrigerator from Laura Bush's childhood home, which still works. I wish I had one of those-it is better than any modern fridge, with a foot operated door opener, lazy susan shelving and beautiful style. But most of all, it still works!

Bar & grill
Located in a historic 1910 building with pressed-tin ceilings and a beautifully restored mahogany bar, Wall Street Bar & Grill offers classic American chophouse and seafood fare. With over 30 years of serving Midland diners, this downtown mainstay is known for its legendary steaks, including hand-breaded chicken fried steak and bacon-wrapped filet mignon. The menu also features tempting seafood dishes like pecan-crusted trout served with wild rice.
I popped in a Sunday to try out their brunch. I must say I was very impressed. From the start, the staff were friendly and attentive. The bartender handled all orders including an allergy hiccup. Their fruit salad bar was delish! I ended up choosing the Eggs Benedict and would have finished it had I not felt overly stuffed from the fruit & bread. I highly recommend for brunch.
Jessica J — Google review
Came where after it was suggested by a few people. Unfortunately, the food was just alright. It started with an old fashioned that tasted like bourbon and water (full of ice). The salad was decent, but the steak was overcooked and flavorless. Medium rare, it definitely was not. Maybe I came on an off day. Who knows.

Top notch steak and seafood. Our waitress was attentive and the food was delicious. I had the mignon & shrimp; the steak was grilled to perfection and the shrimp were delightful. 10/10, would visit again

This is a Very nice place to go to... Great Hole in the Wall Rustic Saloon feel with the Antique Bar, Simple Table and chairs... The Bar is Amazing 😍 Drink prices were reasonable and My Waiter John did a great job and always checked on me almost every time he walked through his service area. Food a bit pricey but you're in the City... It was worth coming here for the fast and Friendly Service and great food. I do suggest that they consider putting a little bit of Avocado 🥑 in the Mexican Cocktail to balance the spice. I'm a Top 10 Reviewer for Google maps with over 33 million Views on Google Maps, and I highly recommend this place !!! Keep up the great work.

This restaurant is a quagmire of impossibilities!! Is it a restaurant??? Or is it a bar!? Is it fine dining or is it superb pub food?!?! Is this a restaurant that launders money for the mafia!?! Is it simply an outstanding wine house!?!? Well, I’ll tell you what people- all of the above are true except for the mafia thing…. And I guess that could be true as the bartender looked a little dangerous…. This place has GREAT SUPERB INCREDIBLE FOOD!!!! Get off your tail this instant and try them out! You guys will be emailing me “thank yous”! Really well run establishment. Edit/update- went to the bar. The bar is 6 stars!

Beautiful casual downtown spot with diner-level food. Our server was very kind but in need of more training. If I should ever be back, I would go for a steak, maybe it's hard to mess up that.

Wall Street Bar & Grill is a great place to eat. The food was excellent and service was great! The menu has a variety of food from steaks, seafood, and salads. The building has that old look and feel to it reminiscent of the old western days. I had grilled quail and it was top notch with a nice, smokey flavor, my wife had cilantro chicken which was juicy and flavorful. The drink menu included a $250 bottle of wine so be ready this place is on the pricey side. I would suggest dressing up a little to eat here....most people were in business attire. Great place to bring a date or your business partners!

At Pi Social, located conveniently in Downtown Midland and just a stone's throw from Centennial Park, you can indulge in a delightful array of culinary creations. Their menu features everything from classic margarita pizzas to unique BBQ options, ensuring there's something for everyone—including gluten-free diners with their cauliflower crust. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, perfect for enjoying small plates or shareable bites alongside expertly crafted cocktails at the wrap-around bar.
Very nice atmosphere with music and different types of seating. The staff were very friendly and our waitress was as well. Didn’t realize this, but their pizza and brunch menus are the only options from 11-3pm on Saturdays. That was the only downside as I wanted to use the full menu. The pizzas and tenders we had were great tho. Will return to try more of the menu.

We have been there a couple of times. Perfect for a date or to go in a group. The place is aesthetically pleasing. Everything is top of the line. Home made pizzas and cocktails are amazing. Friday and Saturday night they have a live DJ outside. People dances outside. I love this place

Staying at the Wyndham hotel across the street, I needed to order something that was convenient and fast. The placement of the order was simple. The young man who attended me was cordial and the process was quick and easy but the pizza was just okay. I ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and was a little disappointed in its lack of flavor, especially the pizza dough and crust. I'm not trying to throw social pie under the bus but Costco pizza is just as good and Whole Foods. Pizza is definitely better. I observed the crowd, and the atmosphere was pretty chill although they didn't have any music playing so there was distinct low hum of chatter. I do plan on returning and dining in to see if that is a better experience.

1000/10! We got Kiana and she has the best customer service. We went Saturday night, there was a live DJ who played great music and overall atmosphere was great. Food, we got the Wagu Pizza and it was sooo good and cheesy. Price honestly, for the amount of drinks we got was a fair price. Will be coming back a lot more. Thanks Kiana!

Quick litter review. Excellent service! My sister brought me to this restaurant on my birthday. I was impressed by our server Laura she was very knowledgeable about the menu. I had never been here before so her suggestions made things easy. Our food was brought out in a timely manner and Laura was prompt making sure we had everything we needed. Love the atmosphere I truly felt special on my birthday. Definitely adding this restaurant to my go-to list and will suggest to all my friends and family.

Came for lunch, not busy at all but you’d never know it with how slow the service was. Took 30 mins to get drinks, another 10 for the appetizer and then watched the pizza sit under a heat lamp for 20 mins before we got it. Love the atmosphere, but service could use a lot of work. Workers cutting up and laughing while food sits under heat lamps. Sorry yall charge $20 for an old fashioned but can’t provide the service level of the prices you charge. Probably won’t be back

Chinese restaurant
Thai House is a modest strip-center eatery that specializes in classic Thai and Chinese cuisine. The restaurant offers an unassuming ambiance and serves delicious dishes from both cuisines. Customers have been extremely impressed with the quality of the food, with particular mention of their exceptional coconut chicken curry, which although a bit spicy, is incredibly flavorful. Another standout dish is the sweet rice, which has just the right amount of sweetness to make it heavenly.
Best Thai and Chinese food ever!! Loved the pad Thai but my new fav is the basil rice Thai hot washed down with Thai tea. Everything here is so good you have to stop by when you’re in town! The staff is awesome and the food is delicious.

I ordered basil fried rice. As a visitor from Houston who loves Thai food it did not meet my expectations. Seems as if they may put some kind of hot sauce in it. It did not have the look or taste I'm accustomed to. The service was awesome tho.

The best Thai food ever—always fresh and absolutely delicious! Customer service is consistently excellent. They can get busy at times, but remember: this isn’t fast food. Everything is made fresh to order, exactly how you like it. If you have a little time to wait, it’s completely worth it. Definitely give them a try.

Good Thai. Is it great? No. It’s good though. The appetizers are hand made and fresh. The Curry’s both seemed a little lacking but still good. We went in at lunch rush and it took about 40 minutes to get our food which was ok in our book but luckily neither of us had a 1pm meeting.

Love this place! I've been coming here since I was 4 years old when my mother used to work as a waitress! I live and breathe for the panang curry and pad key mao! Such friendly staff and the owners are amazing! Very good about taking into account any allergies! While it depends on the day how fast you'll get seated and fed, like any restaurant, it is a guarantee that you'll be met with delicious authentic Thai Food. So if you have a little patience, and a love for genuine meals, give Thai House a try.

Well coming from Dallas where there's tons of good Thai food I had high expectations especially when this place is supposedly the best in Midland. I had my doubts because it says Thai and Chinese. The noodles seem like they were mixed with old noodles because some was dry and brittle . The Fried rice was dry and my wife couldn't even eat it. I didn't even finish my noodles. I'm positive I won't even come back but the service was great. When it comes to Thai this place is far from what I'm used to.

If I could put 0 stars, I would. Unclear what to do so asked how to order. SUPER small bar seating, lots of high tops. Told to sit anywhere & a server would be over to help... NOPE! No server... They were all walking around and there were like 3 ppl behind the bar!! Bummer! Wanted to try a new, local place! Left & headed elsewhere!

Unfortunately I was disappointed. I went specifically for the Special Yellow Curry dish. I'm not a chef.. but do cook and ive had curry all around Texas. So was looking foward to the only place that has it. Today's curry was SUPER WATERY AND RUNNY.. not a normal slightly creamy or even "soupy" texture. But just RUNNY like water. I also thought that it's either curry PASTE or chilli PASTE for the spice not chilli OIL in a curry yellow curry dish..🤷🏻‍♂️ So my curry was just yellow water and chilli oil that obviously did not mix together. So my curry just looks like yellow water with tons or red grease on top. It may hav been a pasta that wasn't stired.. I still wanted to eat it and tried to do so, but unfortunately NONE OF THE ACTUALLY CURRY "WATER/OIL" would even stay on the veggies and chicken because it was so watery.. So by the time the food made out of the water it was clean.. lol There was NO YELLOW OR CURRY ON IT lol it just ran off and beaded off like water on oil.. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ itwas also very bland w curry flavor so just spicy from the oil w a slight bland curry taste.

This sports bar offers a variety of American dishes, such as steaks, in a casual setting with numerous televisions and an outdoor seating area. The establishment has a nostalgic ambiance and plays classic rock music. However, the interior can be quite smoky due to cigarette usage. The service provided is exceptional. One recommended dish is the grilled catfish seasoned with lemon pepper, which was enjoyable. Additionally, the sweet potato fries are highly recommended for their perfectly crispy exterior and soft interior.
This was a bright spot during my Midland trip. I loved the military memorabilia when you walk in. That was a great start to the visit. The service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious and I highly recommend the ribeye! If you are in Midland or just passing through, stop in to The Bar. You won’t be disappointed!

Typical bar food. Mostly fried but really tasty. It was my first time trying Texas toothpicks. I liked that they were combined with onion rings..... so that is probably my favorite part of the meal. The steak fingers were good... not something I can get back home so I was glad I got to try them.

This restaurant got frozen in time. The vibe was great. Playing some classic rock. The inside smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. We sat outside in this nice patio. Service was amazing. I got the grilled catfish lemon pepper and it was pretty delicious. So we’re the onion rings. I highly recommend getting the sweet potatoes fries. I’m not huge on sweet potatoes but these were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

I didn’t have a single problem with this place! On Saturday the mimosas are strong and plentiful. My family absolutely insisted we try their French toast. I myself was only there for one thing, deep fried bacon. I had to try a serving with a side of gravy and I wasn’t disappointed at all. They’re not overly meaty prices but the breading still can’t hide the flavor. I had pork chops and eggs with a muffin and I enjoyed every single bite. The pork chop is nice and juicy and the eggs were fluffy. The atmosphere is just one of a kind including a wall filled with vintage beer cans, a huge bar, and a stage. Servers were friendly and while there were no black women up front I only saw one shift… and it is Texas. Food is definitely worth it. Thanks so much everyone.

Cowboy Prime is a stunning restaurant with exceptional service and delicious food. The steak tartare is highly recommended, and sitting at the bar is a great option for solo diners. Despite initial skepticism, the experience exceeded expectations with unique offerings like akaushi breed beef. The staff's kindness and attentiveness, especially towards children, left a lasting impression. Diners praise the Lobster Benedict, sushi, scallops, and rack of lamb as must-try dishes.
I was a bit hesitant to give Cowboy Prime a try after reading some reviews, but I’m glad I did. You step into a warm and elegant ambiance. The attentive staff provided great recommendations. I enjoyed the spice dusted ribeye which was flavorful. The wine list pairs nicely with the menu. The butter graham cracker dessert was out of this world and a delightful finish to a delicious meal. Cowboy Prime exceeded expectations with excellent food and service. A must-visit!

I drove 2.5 hours to try this place based on strong recommendations and high expectations. While I have no issue paying for quality food and service, I was ultimately disappointed. Coming from a large city in California where there is no shortage of exceptional dining options, I found the food here to be underwhelming in comparison. That said, the service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional. Unfortunately, that was the only standout aspect of the experience. The atmosphere lacked energy and felt flat, which added to the overall letdown. While I truly appreciate great service, I personally would not recommend this restaurant, nor do I plan to return. If you’re looking for a more satisfying experience, a traditional steakhouse might be a better choice. $300 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 They asked if we were celebrating anything, and I mentioned that we’re celebrating a birthday. I figured a simple “Happy Birthday” or maybe even a small gesture like a cupcake would follow. It just felt a bit odd to ask and then not acknowledge it in any meaningful way.

10 of out 10, would recommend. The first thing we noted was every staff member we walked by greeted us. This plus the really nice atmosphere and decor were a great way to start the experience. We were celebrating our anniversary and they even left a nice note on our table (picture). They also accommodated our stroller for our baby. I don’t remember our server’s name, but she was super pleasant and checked on us multiple times. The cool thing about this restaurant is the menu offers super fancy (expensive) items, but also has regular (affordable) items as well. I forgot to take a picture before we ate, but my wife had the Steak Frites and I had the Dry-Aged Prime Burger. Both were extremely good and very filling as you can see from the plates. The fries are good too, but a little heavy on the Parmesan. Funny sidenote, I know I’m not a fancy guy at all, but in the bathroom, they didn’t have paper towels, but they had actual cloth towels. Multiple on a nice tray. I’ve never seen that before. Long story short, I air dried my hands. Using a towel in a public bathroom just seemed odd to me, but my wife said that’s what fancy restaurants do. Anyway, we plan to be back!

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food. The highly recommended dish lacked flavor and tasted like it may have come from frozen ingredients. The beet salad was the highlight of the meal and the only dish I truly enjoyed. On a positive note, the service was excellent—our server was attentive, professional, and courteous.

An Exceptional Dining Experience at Cowboy Prime Steakhouse! From the moment we walked in, Cowboy Prime Steakhouse exceeded all expectations. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for both a casual night out or a special occasion. Our server was incredibly attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish from the perfectly seared steaks to the flavorful sides was cooked to perfection. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into every bite. What really stood out, though, was the management. They were incredibly accommodating, checking in to make sure our experience was nothing short of excellent. It’s rare to see that level of genuine hospitality these days, and it truly made our night memorable. I highly recommend Cowboy Prime Steakhouse to anyone looking for top-tier service, outstanding food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!

Wow! Food was amazing from the appetizers all the way to the dessert. I ordered the NY Strip and my wife ordered the filet they were cooked to perfection. As for the service our waiter Audie was very tentative to our dinning experience. He made great recommendations and ensured that we enjoyed the meal. We will definitely be returning soon. Thank you for a memorable night.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent! The lamb rack was cooked to perfection. This is one of my favorite places to get sushi as well. Ended the evening with the desert that came with a table side presentation.
