History Museums
The Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center, nestled in the heart of Maritime Cambridge's downtown, is a captivating destination that delves deep into the life and legacy of Harriet Tubman, a pivotal figure in American history. Housed in a charming converted row house, this intimate museum is brimming with fascinating artifacts, historical displays, and artwork that vividly illustrate the struggles of slavery in America.
This is a fascinating historic museum in Maritime Cambridge's downtown district. They are closed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday -- although the attendant opened the door when we knocked and let us in anyway. The museum is in a converted row house. It is jam-packed full of interesting artifacts, historical signs, and artwork. The museum covers very thoroughly the life of Harriet Tubman, the legendary conductor on the underground railroad. It is a museum essentially about slavery in America. Much of the material is difficult to face, but it is important to understand. It is very well done and definitely worth a visit -- with your family or solo.

You don't want to miss this gem! I visited as part of a tour group and our female tour guide was amazing (and stunningly gorgeous)! Please forgive me - I don't recall her name and I'm so bummed about it. She was incredibly passionate about Harriet Tubman and knew a bazillion facts. Her storytelling ability was extremely captivating and she sang songs that felt like stepping back in time. This lovely volunteer has deeply immersed herself into the experience and has walked the entire Underground Railroad from here to Canada and down through Texas to Mexico. This just blew me away! The museum is lovely and there's plenty to see. There's a small gift shop area and a large one-person bathroom that's handicapped accessible. The museum is right downtown Cambridge and there are multiple free public parking locations in walking distance. There's a gorgeous mural on the side wall of Harriet Tubman that you don't want to miss. If you're looking for history- this museum and it's volunteers are the real deal. I highly recommend visiting!
Kate D — Google review
It’s a small quaint museum with tons of information. Sit and watch some videos. Ask questions. The murals in the back room are of the Bucktown store where Harriet was injured in the head, which affected the rest of her life. There are entertaining lectures with songs by the director and her husband. She also provides walking tours with loads of history and song. They also host a monthly jazz concert.
Joyce D — Google review
Wonderful experience, it felt like I was sitting at the foot of my elder as he shared the life and legacy of our beloved ancestor. Harriet T.

Awesome place to take your family, wonderful history.

[NOTE: Some reviews of this place are for the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park, which is much better] You'll find the basic info about Harriet Tubman and the UGRR, some art, and random artifacts. There is a video you can watch and a pretty cool back room where (I assume) events and such occur. It felt like more could be done with this space.
Chris M — Google review
Check the calendar before you go! We traveled over 2 1/2 hours to visit the site and didn’t realize that the Governor of Maryland was visiting that day as well. It was a madhouse in the museum and it was very difficult to navigate with my walker. The one thing we were not able to do because of the crowds was see the orientation video which I really would liked to have seen. The museum itself is well organized. I was hoping to learn more, it only took an hour to read everything and we take our time to read whatever is interpreted in museums. The gift shop was small and had limited merchandise. I bought a book because I heard someone talking about it and it sounded interesting. For those, like myself with mobility issues, they had benches spaced out throughout the museum. My husband was able to drop me off at the door as well. The handicap parking was not in view of the door so it was not very close. The bathroom was easy to navigate with my walker.
Cat L — Google review
Great museum with dedicated volunteers. The collection of books and art on the life and times of Tubman are excellent! The murals inside and out are amazing. Get a lecture or a musical tour of the Underground Railroad.

Nestled along the picturesque Choptank River, the Choptank River Lighthouse is a must-see when visiting Cambridge, Maryland. This historic town, located just 90 miles southeast of Washington DC in Dorchester County, offers a delightful escape for those who appreciate outdoor activities and charming small-town vibes. As you stroll through the brick-paved streets of the historic district, you'll encounter lovely parks, a marina, and fascinating museums that add to its allure.
Beautiful, peaceful place to visit. I went on a windy, chilly, rainy day with my three toddlers. The lighthouse itself was closed to the public (a sign stated it would be Open May to Oct), but it was still fun to look at it and see the giant structure. There was also a small plaque about the trading of slaves that while in port on the Choptank river in the Eastern Ocean.
Kristina B — Google review
Beautiful scenery along the wharf. Coming down high street to the Lighthouse, you'll travel over cobblestone streets with beautiful homes. Be careful on motorcycles when the cobblestones are wet. They will be slippery.
Hugh C — Google review
A must see if you're visiting the area. Well maintained. Free admission. Helpful information about the steamboat era. Very knowledgeable and friendly docents. Elevator available for the disabled, but make sure to call ahead and make arrangements.
Ed B — Google review
The scenery is very picturesque. It's located in Cambridge, MD. The ducks mostly run away when you draw near, but a few are brave enough to stick around for a treat. The lighthouse closes at 5pm (I believe).

Really cute waterfront park and marina, a little scary at the edge. Very calming place to be. Bring a jacket though it's usually windy

It was very beautiful, it was very fun to read about the lighthouses history and climb the ladder up to the top. It was a great experience. The dock around it also added to the cool atmosphere. It was well maintained and clean!!
Evan W — Google review
The place is so peaceful on a cloudy day. There are so many jellyfish in the water. I can't climb up the lighthouse but I was able to take pictures.

I didn't go while the actual lighthouse was open. I went and looked at the area and walked around the outside of the lighthouse and it is absolutely beautiful. I will return to store the inside of the lighthouse.

Leafy riverside park offering views of the water & wharf, a lighthouse & picnic tables.
Large park with lots of parking . A little beach area, a circular trail great for walking dogs. Small areas along the trail to play. Porta potty open all year

Great common area with picnic benches and a walking path along the marina. It is easy walking with new paths so it is wheelchair friendly and for older folks more sure footing. Try parking at the far end, in front of the Yacht Club, for the greatest mobility access. Dog walkers are common as are friendly sailors, some of who come from long distances. Waterman also tie up their workboats. There is a light house if you are sure-footed enough to make it over the dock boards but still very visible from a vehicle at the round about. Enjoy.

Very nice Marina with beautiful views of the Chop tank River. Visit and take a tour of the Choptank River Lighthouse. Nice place for walks and to sit by the water and enjoy the views.

Pre dawn comet watch at Long Wharf Marina was gorgeous. Unfortunately comet was hiding in the cloud bank under Venus, so was not visible. Peaceful nonetheless.
Dion K — Google review
Such wonderful memories of Long Wharf! The festivals once held here, the ships making port when it was an actual port, and watching the skates and rays in the water... My father was rector of Christ Church on High Street and he would walk us to the wharf to go crabbing. Times change, areas change, but Long Wharf endures and still retains some vestiges of its former finery. We used to sit with our feet dangling and watch the MV Bruarfoss IV make port. Her Norwegian captain and officers would often pay call on us because of our heritage and ability to speak Norwegian. Such wonderful memories!

Nestled in the charming town of Cambridge, Maryland, the Richardson Maritime Museum is a delightful tribute to local maritime heritage. Established in honor of a renowned boatbuilder, this museum showcases an impressive collection of ship models and artifacts related to boatbuilding. One standout feature is the Ruark Boatworks Build-A-Boat Program, which invites student groups to engage hands-on with maritime traditions by constructing their own boats and models.
Russ hosted the museum, there were 3 of us. Russ is an extremely informed and educated host. He makes the artifacts in the museum take on life with interesting facts and history. Makes you wish that you were actually there, or very glad that you weren't depending on the related outcome. How refreshing to find a guide who actually loves what he is doing. Hey Russ, if you read this, we were the ones telling the ghost stories from our haunted building in NY, it was great meeting you! Keep up the good work, you are excellent!

NOT in the brick building pictured here. New museum just opened in Oct. 2025 (hours TBD). The center includes the Ruark Boatworks. The Ruark Boatworks is active with volunteers building and repairing boats. They see historic boats come and go in this historic location. They also have an educational program with school children. It's an amazing project!

Park
Sailwinds Park in Cambridge, MD offers a fantastic experience with its great playground and stunning waterfront scenery. The combination of a well-designed playground and picturesque views makes it a perfect spot for families. There is also a book drop and exchange. I particularly enjoy the serene walks by the water, making it a delightful destination for outdoor activities. Highly recommended!
Realtor W — Google review
We’ve visited a lot of playgrounds locally, and this one is by far our kids’ favorite! The equipment is great, but what really sets it apart is the view—overlooking the Choptank River. It’s absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The Visitor Center was clean, and the bathrooms were well-kept when we used them, which is always a big plus when you’re out with little ones. Highly recommend for a fun family outing!
Meredith L — Google review
This playground is such a hidden gem right on the water in the Chesapeake Bay area. It’s perfect for kids – there’s plenty of space to run around and climb, and the equipment is well-kept and fun. But honestly, it’s not just for the kids. There’s a walking path that hugs the water, and benches where you can just sit back, relax, and take in the view. Watching the sailboats drift by is incredibly peaceful. It’s one of those spots where you can easily spend a couple of hours, whether you're chasing after little ones or just enjoying the breeze off the bay. Highly recommend it for a laid-back afternoon.
Jon — Google review
This park was good for the very young and older kids. There is a nice walking area, but parts go a little too close to the water for comfort. They have swings that are made so adults can place a toddler I. It and swing facing them, but one of them had the plastic peeling and was a little sharp where the metal was poking out. The ground is rubberized, so it is harder for the kids to hurt themselves from falling and if has a young kids playground and an older kids one. There is also a visitor center and a couple picnic table areas.
John — Google review
Awesome little park right next to the water. Stopped here on the way home from Ocean City to get some energy out with the kids. Perfect midpoint stop and great views.
Trae F — Google review
Great place to take your children or just enjoy a walk along the water. There are also tables to sit and enjoy lunch or dinner. Nice walking trail on the Choptank River.
Debbie W — Google review
Absolutely awesome. Nice location, peaceful, and relaxing. We are here for the Fourth of July fireworks. Will come again. Thank you Town of Cambridge
Christopher ( — Google review
What a beautiful park. The playground isn't the largest I've seen, but it's got all the normal stuff plus some. There's a younger kids section and an older kids section, and a fair amount of shaded area as well as a large pavilion. The best part is the extremely picturesque view. There's an amazing little beach inlet area, and it's right on the water with an amazing view of the bridge. The breeze off the water is fantastic. They also have trails and walking paths along the shoreline. Highly recommend going. Kids or no kids, it's very much worth a visit!

Canvasback Restaurant & Irish Pub is a bright and spacious Irish-style pub that offers classic dishes and live music, creating a traditional and enjoyable atmosphere. The food is highly praised, with perfect crabcakes, delicious oysters, divine mashed potatoes with Eastern shore gravy, decadent Brussels sprouts, and the best hush puppies. The crab dip is described as yummy and incredible. The cozy ambiance with Christmas lights, fireplace, and background music sets the perfect scene for a date night.
This cozy spot was perfect for date night. Christmas lights, fireplace, Bing Crosby playing in the background 😍 The food is delicious! Crab dip is incredible!

Food served with the speed of a glacier & the ambiance of a morgue; drink a glass of tears for the saddest place in Cambridge. This place was staffed like a gulag. Ironman weekend and the place was empty with no staff and service in prep for the big weekend. A big nothing-burger of disappointment.
Goofy G — Google review
It was absolutely enjoyable! Great food, crabcakes and oysters were perfect. Mashed potatoes with Eastern shore gravy are divine. Brussels sprouts were decadent. Hush puppies were the best I have ever tasted. Crab dip was yummy. Great service, ambience was a "10". I love this place.
Barb B — Google review
So we liked it ok but it was really hot outside and it wasn't very cool inside. Our first time in here and it wasn't a great first impression. The whole experience was uncomfortable. What could have been a really nice experience wasn't. The wait staff was good, a bit quirky, but good. Food was also good. Both our meals were good enough to either finish or take home! We may try it again but not when it's hot!
Stephen B — Google review
We had lunch here today. Nice decor, fair prices. The food was great once it finally arrived. The service was not very good, but I will give the benefit of the doubt in case they were short staffed. No drink refills, no checking in to see, "How is the food? Can I get you anything else?", like I would expect to see. It is a good size place and it looks like it could be a happening place. We could have caught it on a bad day.
Brian H — Google review
Date night with the better half. When we were there, the place was relatively empty (it was early lunch). Our server kept the drinks full and was very friendly. I had the Sheppard pie, and it did not disappoint me. Decent beer selection and a friendly atmosphere (and clean too!), what more could you want?
Stephen S — Google review
Highly disappointing experience. I made a reservation and they were set up nicely for us but that's where the positives stop. The place was almost empty at 1 PM on a Saturday afternoon. That should have been our first clue. Service was slow. The waitress was new and didn't know the food or drink menu. She was also tending bar. The place was way too dark for the time of day. The food was almost tasteless. The crab dip had very little crab in it. It was the same for the cream of crab soup. The MD crab soup was barely more than a bowl of spiced broth with hardly any crab or vegetables. The crab cakes had a lot of filler. I thought about it for a few days before posting this review because I really wanted to like this place. It came well recommended but all eight people in our group (all native Marylanders) said it fell far short of what a good restaurant should be.

Jimmie & Sook's is a relaxed seafood restaurant adorned with nautical accents, featuring a straightforward menu of local catches and a well-stocked bar. The establishment offers an event space for gatherings. Guests have praised the delectable single-fried oysters, creamy whipped potatoes, and flavorful vegetables. The Brussels sprouts with chipotle crema sauce are particularly popular as an appetizer.
Honestly one of the best places I've been to. The value is what really did it for me. I've been to other places where I felt the price tag wasn't warranted, but not here. The food was great - refreshing - and was very quick to arrive. One minor thing is that the baked beans seem to be vinegary, I had never come across that before and just thought that was odd.
Jesus C — Google review
Walked in off the street around noon on a Wednesday and sat at the bar. Really wanted to sample the local oysters but the kitchen was out so I settled on the fish bites and the turkey wrap. Bites were good and my wrap had deli carved turkey instead of cold cuts, which was appreciated. I liked the variety of sides offered between fries, salad, baked beans. It was filling and delicious. Restaurant is very spacious, good for groups and offers a seafood buffet but only on Friday evenings, I believe
Miatta S — Google review
This was our second time here. We were staying at the Hyatt Regency for our Anniversary and no point in being on the Eastern Shore without having seafood. We opted for the soft shell crab and the Pasta alla vodka and added a crab cake. Drinks and soup arrived promptly. Dinner service was a little slow but our server offered water and drinks while we waited.
Stacy T — Google review
The food was good but the lunch menu was limited. The crab cake sandwich was amazing! The crab bread bowl was really good but most of the bread was tough and chewy. The booths on the bar side are set high up and the backing of the booth seats were uncomfortable to sit in. Overall it was good. We’ve eaten here numerous times and have always enjoyed the fine food and dining.

River View At The Point offers a comfortable dining experience with classic American dishes, including breakfast and seafood options. Despite its basic diner-like atmosphere, the food pleasantly surprises customers with well-cooked and seasoned dishes. The crab pretzel is highly recommended as an appetizer, while the River View BLT and burgers receive praise for their quality. Visitors passing through for lunch rave about the delicious crab pretzel, sangria, crab cakes, shrimp basket, and lemon cake.
Passing through and stopped here for lunch. We ordered the crab pretzel (so good!), sangria, crab cakes with potato and macaroni salad, shrimp basket and a slice of lemon cake. Everything was delicious! The crab pretzel was my favorite and the crab cakes were also very good. I was torn when it came to dessert but not disappointed! The cakes and pies are baked fresh in house. The lemon cake is super moist, refreshing, and lemony. Perfect for summer.

Quick stop for lunch. Crab balls were good but expensive. Potato soup was delicious, but could have been a little bit hotter. The two different slices of cake were exceptional. Lemon and tuxedo chocolate. We'll be back when we travel that way again.

I was a little worried when we walked in because the atmosphere was not what I was expecting. It seemed like a basic diner which wasn't exactly what we were looking for. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the food which was very well cooked and seasoned. We got the crab pretzel as an appetizer and I had the River View BLT and enjoyed both. My husband, who can be picky when it comes to burgers, really enjoyed his as well and commented on the quality of the meat.

Worse customer service experience I ever had on the eastern shore! Not friendly at all! Hate to pull this card but the racism, sarcastic nasty smart response and attitudes took everything in me to remain professional! It’s time people realize we live in a new decade where people of COLOR as well as young adults are very successful, have businesses and money as well! So to be a waitress that can’t even give respect or good customer service on a to go order is absurd ….. I would never give this establishment any of my money! I pray who ever the blonde hair shoulder length curled hair is find peace and learn to fix her attitude when working with the community and public. I wanted to try the crab imperial but did not want the sides since they use pork in their vegetables …. Portside where I usually go was close so why not try something new! After talking through the order on the phone I was perfectly fine paying for just the imperial…… but why when I picked it up it literally look like a scoop of crab meat in a small container for $20 …. When trying to simply communicate I was being cut off, rude towards and was told just to go back to portside I simply was trying to express the fact I was excited to try a new restaurant & try to apologize for the miscommunication of what I thought I was getting but honey that staff didn’t want to hear it… $30 can get you wayyyyy more food worth your money else where cause the picture is what they made me pay $20 for!! Hire nicer, more helpful, staff!!! Practice more patience!! And treating others how you would want to be treated! But then again this is Cambridge Md.
Madison B — Google review
Food took over an hour to come, didn't taste good, and the staff were shockingly rude. Our waitress wasn't that bad and was at least attentive with the drinks. When I arrived I was told that I'd need to wait for my full party to arrive before being seated, but when a police officer arrived he was seated immediately, despite his remaining party members showing up much later. The staff also wouldn't allow us to sit in a seat we specifically reserved ahead of time over the phone (and it was marked as such, with 4 places set up) since our party was 4 people rather than 5 (apparently it's a 5 person seat only). The seat wasn't even that big, it's a booth that can seat 5 at most, I attached a picture, I can't understand why us 4 couldn't sit there EVEN AFTER reserving the exact seat ahead of time and being told we could sit there. The seat was never used for the 2+ hours we were there talking over drinks while we waited for our bland food. Ruined my night out with my family, I would have had better food and service at the Denny's down the road. Honestly, for the money we paid, it was disgraceful. We should have walked out when we were told we couldn't sit at our reserved seat. I think it goes without saying that we won't be back. If you're looking for a nice bite try portside just down the road. It has a better view and better food.

We had the fried green tomatoes and the crab dip. both were great. The service was good. The place was decorated really nice. We would eat there again.

Restaurant
Blue Point Provision Company is a waterfront American restaurant that offers a breezy setting with a deck, perfect for enjoying local seafood and drinks. The restaurant provides great views of the water, especially if you choose to sit outside or near the windows. Guests can expect delicious food, such as juicy steaks and corn muffins served for dinner. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Wish we could have eaten here every day on our trip. The food was great. The service was awesome, and the chef even came out to greet us and ask how our food was. Inside and outside seating. This place is a must try!
Gary H — Google review
Part of the Hyatt Regency resort and the prices seem to match the upscale environment. The food is mediocre. The kicker to me was the local oysters at $3.50 each, we get the same ones here for $2.00. West coast oysters are priced at $3.00. We didn’t go back during our stay at the resort. We went into Cambridge to find better food at reasonable prices.
Anil D — Google review
I am rating this a 2 because of the atmosphere only on the deck. Otherwise it is a 1 star inside and based on the horrible food that they serve. It looks fairly decent but the crabs cakes were like an appetizer, zucchini had so much soy sauce we couldn’t finish it and not many shrimp for $28. Way overpriced for horrible food. Hyatt needs to do better to keep people coming to visit here.

Blue Point Provision is a beautiful half mile walk from the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay. The views from this establishment are amazing, the service was fantastic, and the food was excellent. This is definitely one of the nicer restaurants in the area.

Not in the habit of leaving a bad review. Bottle of wine ordered and two glasses were poured from the bottle upon opening, IYKYK. Two specials ordered along with kids menu item and over an hour wait. Kids desert they were out of the ice cream and sorbet. Food was good, service less than stellar. Kitchen shares the blame unless server forgot to put the order in.

Rockfish special was great, corn bread muffins were delicious, berry bourbon smash was terrible cocktail, service was very friendly

The food here really isn’t that good, especially for the price. The atmosphere was nice, but they need a better menu and chef. I’d rather go somewhere off property next time for a nice dinner.

Not sure why this place had so many negative reviews. We got quick service and food was good, some portions are small but that’s not at out the norm. We had a great experience. We very accomdating wirh my two little ones. I would say the best food on the Hyatt resort.

Day 2

Off the beaten path
For day 2, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Gerry Boyle Park at Great Marsh. Not quite as popular as Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 6 hours.

Gerry Boyle Park is a stunning, spacious park that boasts a variety of recreational facilities. With its expansive open field, multiple play stations, and scenic water views, the park offers a delightful outdoor experience for both children and adults. The play stations are interconnected by a gravel trail, which adds diversity and ensures ample space for play.
Beautiful park for a quick walk, fishing, a picnic or watching sunrise or sunsets. There are many benches and swings throughout the park, a picnic pavilion and a playground for the kids. There's a gravel walking path with cute little areas of interest for the family to learn and enjoy together.
Erin C — Google review
Beautiful, big park with 6 different play stations, a big open field, various picnic benches, views of the water, and one main playground area. The play stations are connected by a gravel trail. The play stations add some variety and space out the potential play, although some areas are pretty basic. The main playground is nice: standard variety of slides, monkey bars, climbing equipment, and 4 swings - 2 toddler, 2 big kid. Artificial padded ground beneath everything. It's all in decent shape, but rusting in many places and most of the built-in toys are busted. Overall it's a great park. The main playground could use some care, but it's still very usable and safe.
David C — Google review
Even though it was cold and icy. It’s still a beautiful place to go and relax. The parking lot does need updating. Lots of cracks and dips. No bathrooms——

Great park with small beach, fishing docks, playgrounds, rest area and lots of fun futures for kids and family. Relaxing or walking around with a great views. Well maintained. If you like fishing you will love this place. This is really good spot for fishing.

Great stop on a warm November weekend. Cute climbing things for ages 5-12. Beautiful water views. Portable toilet not very nice though.

So I found this facility to be dense and rich in history and Heritage of the local area which is wonderful! I suppose they have a limited budget to work with because things to not seem to be kept up too well aesthetically. Partially this could be attributed to covid. The people who worked there were extremely friendly and appropriately helpful without overdoing it. I'm glad we came.

Wonderful presentation in great detail work on The Disappearance of my great-aunt Florence Wingate. People go out of their way to be warm and friendly and love to talk about the history of our area almost like going back home and sitting down in front of a warm stove in the winter time and carrying on wonderful conversations. The staff here everyone works very very hard to maintain and carry on the history of our area.

Harriet Tubman Memorial Garden

Park
The Harriet Tubman Memorial Garden, situated along the highway, is a charming small garden adorned with information boards dedicated to Harriet Tubman. These panels would benefit from a thorough cleaning to enhance readability. Adjacent eateries present an enticing opportunity for a delightful meal under the shade of the trees. This cherished spot in Cambridge owes its existence to the unwavering determination and perseverance of the local Harriet Tubman community, who worked tirelessly to establish and maintain this tribute.
Just beautiful. Everyone should visit this memorial. I'm so glad it's right across from Police Station, because I'm sure there are some haters out there that would love to deface this beautiful painting and grounds.

A nice little garden along the highway. A small curving path has information panels related to Harriet Tubman. The information panels could use a good cleaning to make it easier to read. I could see grabbing a bite to eat at one of the places across the street and having a nice lunch in shade of the trees.

I love this place because the Harriet Tubman community in Cambridge fought courageously to develope and maintain the seeds of this tribute to Tubman. No one should visit the Tubman sites in Dorchester County without a full appreciation of the commitment and tenacity that led to what it has to offer today.

Stopped by on the way to the Harriet Tubman visitors' center. The docent was sittng in his truck in the parking area and let us in. He grew up in the area and was full of wonderful information. Taco Bell is a speedy eatery that offers Mexican-inspired cuisine like tacos, quesadillas, and nachos. The food was served piping hot and freshly made, impressing all customers. The presentation of the meals was outstanding, making everyone delighted. Conveniently located off 50 West, this branch featured captivating artwork on its exterior façade. Ordering through the drive-thru was a hassle-free process for placing an order, paying, and collecting the meal.
The food was hot & fresh. The presentation of the food was exceptional we were all delighted. The location was right off of 50 West. We were glad we chose this location. The outside of the store is embellished with cool art work both front. The drive-thru was an easy way to place an order, pay, & pickup my meal. The customer service was excellent. She was kind, cordial, patient & above all great listener. There's an outside seating available. The ambiance of this Taco bell was everything I never knew I needed. I was impressed from start to finish. I am a satisfied customer. It was dark & raining but the energy of the store increased my excitement, so I capture a few cool pictures of the store. 😁😊😇

I get they have to portion the food serving but this is kind of ridiculous if you ask me. Order two beefy 5 layers normally don’t have any issues with my food but when half the tortilla is wrapped around the burrito to make up for the lack food inside. 5$ a piece you think you could get better than that. But I seen how important the conversation was at the time.

They have been consistent since they have opened. My food is always correct.Everyone is ALWAYS pleasant. And on occasion when we do dine in, it’s clean and the crew seems to be having fun. This is my favorite Taco Bell, my preferred location. And I don’t even live close by. I make sure to stop by when I’m driving thru.
Gloria R — Google review
This one of the better Taco Bell's that I have visited. The food order was delivered to my table and everything was correct. The meal was Taco Bell good and served nice and warm. There is a drive thru if you just want to do a fly-by for a quick meal. The store was very clean and so were the restrooms and parking lot. They have high chairs available here and the store is handicap accessible. What is notable is that the staff members here are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend.

This taco bell is always on point. Food is good and fresh, music playing, friendly workers, and they have it decorated nicely for Christmas. Definitely one of the best ones around.

Went to Taco Bell to order a simple order. Order two potato tacos without sauce, we received sauce with it. Ordered chips and cheese, got the cheese no chips. Went back to the restaurant for chips and requested they give us more chips and cheese for our inconvenience and manager told me I'd have to pay for extra. Can't any fast food in Cambridge get orders right or have good customer service?? Just recently went back and the veg power bowl is not worth ordering. Portions very small. Black beans are about a tablespoon Just went to Taco Bell in Easton. Picture of what a vegetarian power bowl should look like.

Pizza restaurant
Pizza Ziya is an unpretentious eatery that offers traditional pizza toppings, pasta, calzones, and subs. It's a great place to stop for carryout while on a road trip from DC to OC. The food is delicious, ranging from Caesar salad and chicken tenders with fries to mouthwatering pizza, calzones, and subs. The owner provides exceptional service by personally delivering the packed-up food with extra sauces and silverware.
So good. Pleasant, clean, comfy to sit and have a pizza that took me home. That's some good pizza. Makes his own sauce, crust, clearly proud of the quality. We split a med pizza pepperoni and sausage, and a large garden salad, with good iced tea. Definitely coming back.
Liz H — Google review
It could have been so much better if the service was better. The appetizer comes first, not last. The food was not as fresh or hot as it could be, I watched my food sit on the counter until the server brought it over. She should have left her phone in the car.
Rob W — Google review
I don't usually write negative reviews. But $13 for an 8-10inch small pizza is RIDICULOUS. Check out the picture with my hand for scale. Not to mention the website is deceptive in that a "build your own" small pizza is listed as $9.99 but once you add sauce and cheese, it's over $13 with tax. And a $2 upcharge for toppings! (Any toppings, not even meat/premium toppings). Even if you just want the toppings on half. So $15 for an 8-10inch small pizza with a (veggie) topping only on HALF! And the pizza isn't even good. The parking lot is ridiculous, bordering on unsafe
Emmilee S — Google review
The food is usually good and hot. Tonight was sloppy and cold. The onion rings were burnt and hard. The marinara was runny and tasted horrible, no flavor at all. The calzones I ordered were pretty decent but cold. Over I don't think I will be ordering from them anytime soon.

Overall a nice experience. This is the place to go if you want to have a relaxing afternoon with some friends and a decent pizza. The pizza was good, and not overly greasy. Their appetizers aren't very varied and are about average. The atmosphere is nice enough and the servers were attentive and nice to talk to.

Went there for a gyro sandwich and gyro platter. The young lady in the front was very nice, plus place was very clean...but the food, in my opinion was lousy. The gyro looked like it had two pieces of meat on it. The taste was tangy as if they put vinegar on it. My husband's gyro platter was $12 and got only 4 slices of meat plus came with no plastic ware or napkins. If I am ever in this area again and want a gyro I would visit Arby's first.

Located on the west bank of Cambridge Creek in Maryland, it provides picturesque views of the working waterfront. Guests can enjoy watching crab and oyster boats while dining in the indoor area or on the outdoor deck.

I keep thinking about the best jerk chicken I've had outside of Jamiaca. I didn't even order it bc I was sure it wasn't going to hold up. I stole a bite of my sister-in-law's salad, and then when she forgot her leftovers at our the house we were renting and I was like SCORE! Service, food, and drinks were phenomenal. The deck was packed, so we sat at a table by the window and enjoyed the view from the cool a/c. Cream of crab soup was excellent. Crab dip was EXACTLY as good as The Washingtonian reported, too. Highly recommend basically everything because we ordered most of it. It was so good I forgot to keep taking pictures.

Found this restaurant driving over the Choptank Creek Bridge next door to #jmclaytonseafood. Very casual dockside tiki bar restaurant, crowded in the middle of the day. Excellent cold drinks but better crab dishes. The best crab cakes I’ve had! No filler jumbo lump Crab meat with jerk seasoning. I highly recommend this place.

Snappers was tasty. We also arrived just before the lunch rush. Customer service was quite pleasant. I had a burger with crab dip on top. The burger was a little under cooked for my taste but they took it back and cooked it more for me. Bravo! Also at the table was a regular cheeseburger and a crab cake. I was satisfied with mine. Fries were also quite good. Oh, and iced tea was good 👍
Roderick M — Google review
I dined here for lunch with my family. The service was good, but it did take a while to get our food. When we did get it, 2 burgers were pink even though we asked for well done. The one that was sent back was cooked to well done the second time. I had a crab cake that was definitely lump meat- good, but not great. It was just not as good a flavor as some I have had. I thought it was a bit small for the $25 price as well. We had some food allergies, and were still able to find things to order without having any allergic reactions. The view was very lovely. It was cold that day, but we still enjoyed walking around near the water after eating. It would be great to enjoy eating outside on a warmer day. My kids noted that there were some things playing on the tvs that they didn't think were appropriate. Edit: We have returned a couple of times. We went on a nice summer evening, and it was a little loud for our taste, but the view is lovely. We ended up taking our food to go. The crab dip nachos were great, and I enjoyed the old bay wings.
Deborah M — Google review
We’ve been here 3 times since March. Love the atmosphere and ambience. The food sometimes can take long however it’s fresh. Tried the snapper fingers as well as the snapper fish dinner. The beer batter is great as far as the crunch however, there is no seasoning on the fish, it’s bland with a crunch lol(I sprinkled Old Bay and a little salt on it). The crab dip also bland, Jerk Tacos need a mild sauce to bring out the flavor, and the wings could use some season as well. Drinks were good and Prices are reasonable. Cant wait until the weather breaks to enjoy the Tiki bar.
Nikki B — Google review
So we just stumbled across this place and what a delight. The outdoor seating is just fabulous. Tiki bar and seating by the water makes it the perfect atmosphere. We didn't eat a full meal because all we stopped for was a drink and appetizer. Stuffed mushrooms were great! My wife loved the bloody Mary. Wait staff was delightful. Next time back (and we will be back) we will eat a full meal and get the full experience. Great time.

Takeout Restaurant
Kool's Carry-Out is a hidden gem for seafood lovers, especially if you're craving something fresh and delicious. Their fried chicken rivals that of the renowned English's Restaurant, making it a must-try. While prices may be slightly higher than fast food options, the quality and flavor make it worthwhile. Even in the off-season, like February when we visited, their flounder platter was delightful—served hot with Old Bay fries and crispy onion rings that complemented the meal perfectly.
What a fantastic seafood store. I always bring a cooler when traveling near Kool’s ice because their crabs and fish are so fresh.

Chicken is delicious, probably the closest I've seen anything get to English's Restaurant fried chicken. Prices are a little on the upper side, but when considering u can't get a fast food meal for any less and the food is hot and delicious, then it's worth it.

Open in the off-season, we were here in February and wanted seafood. Flounder platter was good, fresh & hot. Old bay fries & onion rings were good, sauce that came with it was good too. Parking in the back, the place is next to the car wash.

Not a good experience The food was cold. The fish was room temperature. The breading was thick and had separated from the meat. The greens and mashed potatoes were colder than room temperature. Customer service was good. I was less than satisfied.
Kenny J — Google review
First- the counter lady was not wearing a mask during the covid 19 pandemic! Secondly- our chicken , although good in flavor, was taken from a heat box out front. So, the chicken was lukewarm and very dry. Perhaps I should come closer to lunch time to get something fresh.

I went their today on my lunch break now in all my past experiences the food was ok. I ordered a 2 piece meal with green beans I go outside to eat my food in the car and I see a blackish greenish spot on my chicken leg I pulled the skin back and saw nothing but mold yes I said it mold I was horrified I took the chicken back in to show them and the lady immediately says iam sorry. Now how can food that's kept in a fridge develop mold and you don't see it when your battering the chicken . even though she replaced it and apologized I could not bring myself to eat more of that food. I threw the whole meal away. After today I can't go back this shows me you don't store your food properly and eating here just might make me sick. Sorry kools I can't order from here any more

We made a quick stop here during our Harriet Tubman site tour, but there's really not much to it. A couple markers and a house in the distance.

Stopped here after going to visit the state park! It is hard to see the house from the road - but a nice stopping point nonetheless

I was riding the motorcycle tour route of the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad historic sites. Great back roads and many historic markers to learn history of area.

The location should be named "Site of former childhood home". There is only a historical society sign on the perimeter of the location. Still, there is a storyboard bearing information. HT's former owners still own the land and one can see a current home on the property.
Ros W — Google review
A must visit. Just to look and actually get a feel of where Harriet has been was phenomenal. Wish you could actually walk on the property but please do visit the very small town.

Informative marker about the birth place of the best known conductor of the Underground Railway.

Interesting type of windmill, though it wasn't fully setup during our visit. The other buildings are worth checking out as well. The country store museum has limited hours, so check before going.

I made my visit during the off season I suppose. The sails were not installed on the windmill, and it wasn't turning. I was incredible impressed by the scale of the area and the old fashion technology of this windmill. There are additional buildings on the property and I am sorry I didn't take those pictures and upload them. The additional history was fascinating to learn.

This is a small, little visited, historical site outside Cambridge, MD. The 2 main attractions are a one room schoolhouse, and a large windmill... both dating from the 1800's. You can enter the school house which is furnished as it would have been. There are markers explaining the history of this specific School House. The windmill can't be entered, but it is a very impressive sight. And there are markers explaining its history. There are two other buildings that you can enter and explore. This is a very interesting site to see. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the hours are uncertain. The time we were there no one was around and one of the buildings was locked... Even though the site was supposed to be open.

This is such a neat place! We visit here often while on cycling events in the area. You can't help but come away with a deep and abiding appreciation for the local history represented here.

A very unique spot in rural Maryland that is great for a short field trip on way to neck district grill. Very fascinating to see an English style windmill in the US and all the history surrounding it.

Small but lots of Dorchester County history. 1 cabin, George L windmill and the old schoolhouse were open but the Lloyds store was closed on the sunday i went and it is Very wet and lots of mosquitoes during spring and summer.

Luckily to meet with a group of the volunteers there. And got to see the inside of the windmill.
Vincent K — Google review
This was fun. My Grandfather and Aunt were just like school kids again inside the school house.
