Modern condo units in a scenic mountain setting with casual dining & year-round activities.
Beautiful resort with so much to do!!! Very family friendly. Everyone was awesome! Sue the owner is amazing! She made our family feel so welcome. The only thing we wish we did differently was to not book a downstairs condo because the upstairs visitors were extremely loud in the middle of the night. Everything was perfect about this resort, location, food, shops, staff, pool, fun zone, you name it they had it. Winter activities are said to be equally perfect!

Smugglers Notch Resort is a personal go to when looking for down time in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. You can stay in a range of options from studio accommodations to full on five bedroom townhouse units with a kitchen. I have been there in both the summer and the winter and they are equally fantastic. The staff is really friendly and there are enough activities to satisfy adults, kids, and families. There is a general store for grocery shopping, an outfitters store for apparel, as well as on site restaurants and bars. With multiple pools as well as water slides this is an amazing family oriented resort.
Robert — Google review
Really enjoyed staying here for the disc golf pro tour Green Mountain Championship. Had a great location in Liftside 42 which is close to the main buildings/restaurants and has a balcony facing the green where Fall fest was held. So I had a great box seat for the concerts with no extra ticket charge. Restaurants were a little pricey, but the food was really good. Only one pool was up and running in September, but it was heated nicely. My room was spacious and had a full kitchen, so cooking in is possible if you don't want to pay for the restaurants. The two big disc golf courses were awesome and the little 9 home pitch and putt was fun, too.
David C — Google review
The resort has much to offer all year. The water slides and pools in the summer to the snow skiing in the winter. The location to smugglers notch and to all the activities around Stowe majestic the location perfect. The views from the rooms vary depending on the location. Many views from the balconies should be improved by trimming the trees that have grown hiding the awesome mountain view.
Gary R — Google review
This was my second trip to this resort. Booked through RCI during their off season and resort was quite. Rooms are spacious and comes with lot of amenities including a fireplace, whirlpool tub, bunk bed for kids and a full size kitchen. They also give you complementary arcade passes. Property has few pools. It was relatively cheaper to book with points. Downside is, not friendly for people with mobility issues. Both times I stayed here, you have to take stairs in some way to get to your room. No elevators in buildings I have stayed at. Virtually no soundproofing at least on the exterior of rooms. Walking normally makes loud thumping and squeaking sound. Rooms look really dated. Bed was comfortable but pillows not so much. However, it wasn’t a dealbreaker as I was able to get good sleep every night. Staff at check in desk was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Susan at front desk was very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure I feel welcomed and informed me about resort, restaurants & activities. This is my weekend getaway place and I will continue to visit every few years. This resort can be excellent choice for family gatherings or weekend getaway from NYC, Boston or Canada. Lot to see and do in the area all year round.
Pinak P — Google review
We always visit during the shoulder-seasons, which suits our quiet, introverted lifestyle. The resort is quiet, clean, and peaceful. Staff are wonderful. Locals can be relied upon to lend their advice whenever needed. We are repeat visitors, and will be back again! We hope the appliance-focused maintenance man has a successful surgery in the new year!
Jessica W — Google review
We've been coming here for 15 years sometimes twice a year always during down season for better prices. This year is the first time we only have access to the small North Hill pool and need to drive to it, all the other ones being under 'maintenance' they say however no one working on them so.. quite disappointed, I don't think they should charge resort fees when it's like this. The 3 bedroom condo in Sycamores is nice, comfortable, clean, nothing missing.
Johanne B — Google review
We traded in with RCI. Very happy with this resort. Large, clean, well furnished suite. Only issue is location which is's over the mountain from Stowe so spent 30 min each way to get to restaurants going through the notch. It is however a beautiful drive.

Fox Run Meadows is a bit more open with gorgeous views of mountains in the background, while Brewster Ridge is more wooded and technical. Both courses are absolutely gorgeous and so much fun to play! I live in Massachusetts, but have come up here 3 times now to play, and I will definitely be back in the future. Both of their courses are in the top 5 of my favorite courses ever played!
Katie R — Google review
Great place to disc golf. 2 completely different style courses in Fox run meadows and Brewster's ridge. Fox is hilly open with lots of out of bounds play and brewster is a punishing woods course. Suggested that you get a tee time to play. The shop offers good selection of discs snacks and other accessories.
Tim B — Google review
This place is amazing!!!! The two courses on site are beautiful, perfectly maintained, and designed well. I love playing these courses. The practice area is the best in disc golf with all the trees, elevation, and baskets to test with. The tee pads are great and shots are unique to each course. Definitely a must play
Zack M — Google review
Two great courses here. Highly recommend these top tier courses.
David C — Google review
Definitely a must visit for any disc golfer! The grounds were beautiful and very well kept; we loved the unique and challenging courses. The little shop has food and drinks, and is a great place to chill while you wait for your tee time. A gréât place and definitely would play here again.
Miriam C — Google review
My husband loved being able to play on both courses. He thought they were both very challenging and fun. It is a beautiful setting through the Vermont forest. With 4 different tee boxes anyone can enjoy the courses.
Julie Y — Google review
Two of the best courses I've ever played and both are very different. Brewster's ridge is more of a wooded course with some tight tunnels. Fox run is a more open course with some holes with really good distance
Ross C — Google review
What a good time! Friendly and helpful staff. Well mainted courses, interesting and challenging course, variable difficulty tee-boxes, well stocked Drink and snack bar. Very well run Pro-shop. Both courses offer beautiful views, and a great exercize. You need to set a tee-time before you play but this leads to the courses not getting clogged which allows for more playing for everyone!

Pretty covered bridge near the historic Route 108 of Smugglers' Notch. According to some websites on it, apparently "no one seems to know exactly when the bridge was built, or even its official name. It’s also known as the Bryant Bridge, Canyon Bridge, and Scott Bridge." We took a few pictures of it and the old Grist Mill nearby.
Barb P — Google review
This lovely old, active wooden bridge crosses a wider span of the Brewster River. Park at the adjacent park and walk across it to the town walking paths on the other side. Walk down to the water's edge and walk right under it, carefully, There is a port-a-potty in summer months in the park and picnic tables. Pack out what you bring in, there are no trash receptacles. Watch for cars; this an active roadway. Ask my dad about the time he (10) raced his cousin Georgie (8) in full size cars down Canyon Road in the 1940's to see who could reach the bridge first.
Amber F — Google review
Really cool spot to have a picnic, sit and listen to the stream, check out the covered bridge and its construction, and go on a hike along the stream. We did all of that here and really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend. Be careful making the turn though if you’re coming up from the south. May be better to keep going and turn around a bit further up.
Karl P — Google review
Awesome start to the trail area, we parked before the bridge and walked over but saw that there is more parking past the bridge so we could have driven over.
Alexis D — Google review
Nice spot to relax and enjoy the river. Water level is low, there is some fall colors around.

Beautiful park right next door, especially during the fall colors.

Easy drive and virtually no walk, if you don't want to get out of your vehicle.

The bridge is well worth seeing because it’s a beautiful location by a park and a river. These bridges are becoming harder to find so take the opportunity to see one. Plus this one is right off a major thoroughfare.

The Bryan Memorial Art Gallery, established in 1984 by Alden Bryan in memory of his wife Mary Bryan, showcases the finest landscape paintings from New England. The gallery features the Legacy Collection in its Main and Middle Room galleries and offers various events such as the Sound Bath at the Bryan session. This was a great workshop! George was wonderful. His demonstrations were great along with his ongoing dialogue and he came along side each one of us. This was my first workshop so I really didn't know what to expect. Everything was well done and being with the other fellow painters was great fun

Beautiful landscapes showing now. They were very friendly as I was just browsing.

Robert was a great instructor. His knowledge and skill were impressive and he was a good teacher. He combined lectures and demonstrations and gave us time to practice. I had been painting with acrylics for about a year, but I still learned so much! The small class size meant that we could all ask questions and get feedback on our work.
Cindy J — Google review
I really enjoyed Annelein's workshop. I was definitely attracted by the focus of two different subjects over two days, floral and portrait. That proved to be extremely enlightening in learning and using the principles of watercolor to accomplish two very different styles of painting. Great workshop! Annelien is an excellent instructor.

The Farm Store is a delightful local establishment offering a wide range of goods, including food and incense. While some of their specialty foods can be found at local grocery stores, it is important to note that the freshness may not compare to that of farm-grown produce. The store takes pride in providing freshly packed jams rather than those mass-produced in factories years ago. Their espresso is good, although not exceptional, but the friendly staff and delicious scones make up for it.
Best coffee in town. It cannot get any better in a remote location. Best staff and best coffee.
Ravindra T — Google review
A cute little spot selling tasty pastries and coffees, amongst their other small grocery store provisions. The staff was friendly and helpful. The prices are a bit high, but that’s to be expected in a spot where they’re closing the gap for a community need where there are not a lot of other options nearby. They are operating on temporary hours right now which isn’t clear and is my only gripe—on google maps it says they open at 9am but it was actually 9:30 so I felt a bit foolish waiting outside. But I do recommend the lattes and almond croissants and it’s worth the stop!
Caitlin P — Google review
The Farm Store is easily the best local market anywhere in the area! It’s like a little slice of what you’d find in Stowe on the other side of the mountain. It is a must-visit if you’re driving past Jeffersonville on your way to or from Smuggs - they have an excellent selection of coffee, pastries, dairy items, healthy foods, snacks, fruits, vegetables, meats, medicines, body care essentials, and so much more! It’s basically a mini market with a carefully-crafted selection of items you’d find at a Whole Foods, CVS Pharmacy, and an actual farmers’ market. It might be a bit more expensive than some other places, but you can come here knowing the things they sell are much healthier and better for you! Be sure to get here early when they have all of their baked goods still available - they will sell out later in the day! And as for parking, it can be a little tight sometimes, but there is always space on the street. Just check this place out sometime…you won’t be disappointed!
Michael — Google review
One of the best Oat Milk Lattes I have had on our NE Fall colors trip. I left wondering if the OMlatte was so good, the regular milk would have been even better!
G B — Google review
Nice local store. They had a variety of products like food or incense. However I found that most of the “specialty” foods could be purchased at my local grocery store back home. It may be special to the locals but it’s not very “fresh” when you think of farms. When I look for a jam I’d like it to be freshly packed. Not packed in a factory that sent out hundreds of thousands of jars at once a year ago. The espresso was good but nothing fantastic. The staff was super nice! Scone was yummy! I loved this plant that was for sale on the counter. Not many coffee shops around here so this is a nice spot to have for sure! They also had candles that smelt pretty good!
Dan P — Google review
Disappointing. Latte was sub-par for flavor of both expresso & milk. No artistry either - just foam (like a 7-11 latte machine) - not worth the price
Brad A — Google review
Was our go to coffee spot every day. Fantastic coffee and such a cute spot! Wish I lived here to enjoy this each day.
Meg B — Google review
Surprised by this hidden gem. Love their coffee drinks and pastries. Fresh veggies farm ripe and a nice selection of fine cheeses.

Morse Mountain Grille is a laid-back establishment that offers traditional American cuisine in a cozy setting. The menu includes classic dishes, as well as refreshing cocktails and appetizers to take away. Customers have praised the restaurant for its reasonable prices, delicious food, and efficient service. Highly recommended items include the Asian Ribs and Prime Rib sandwich, which are both flavorsome options. The waitstaff are always friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for patrons.
Courtney is amazing, works hard, is kind, and is an asset to this restaurant. Give her a raise!! People like this make me want to come back. GF bun for burger was great! Fluffy and moist, very enjoyable. They also have GF fries available, very tasty as well! Cobb salad had great presentation and tasted great!

Worst meal we’ve ever eaten. Ribs were so fatty and tough we couldn’t eat. Chicken tenders were a good portion but drenched in sauce. Not the quality we expected from a beautiful resort!
Welcome G — Google review
Extremely overpriced for what is served and horrible quality of food and service. We only placed a pick up order and to have a bad experience with the servers is unusual. The server who took our order over the phone (Liz, according to the server name on our receipt) had an attitude from the start with not being helpful in the slightest with menu questions. When we arrived to pick it up, we were told to “stand over there” by the host for our pick up order so we followed her vague hand gesture to the server station. We stood there for almost 5 minutes, with two servers (Jamie and Peter, from what I saw at the server station) walking past us multiple times not acknowledging us at all. Then we realized there was a to go bag sitting on the bar. When we walked over to the bar and were given the bag, we realized we were given the wrong salad and a whole meal was missing. Liz got very defensive when we pointed out the burger was missing and said “you said you didn’t want it anymore” when I truly have no idea what WAS said that would lead her to believe that. This goes back to her attitude when I had questions about the menu. No apology though for the miscommunication. We had to wait another 15 minutes for the missing meal to be made and there wasn’t a single apology or any customer service from Liz the entire time. Truly upsetting that there was nothing good about ordering from this place.
Madisen Y — Google review
We had an outstanding dining experience at Morse Mountain Grille. The staff was exceptionally polite and helpful. Our fears about the food, based on previous ratings, were completely unfounded. The Chicken Caesar Wrap, Grilled Ribeye Steak, and the delightful Cinnabon Pudding with ice cream were delicious. The ambience, service, and culinary delights surpassed our expectations. Highly recommended!
Raul H — Google review
Very outdated and expensive for what you get. The food is mediocre at best. $20 for 4 chicken tenders and soggy fries is diabolical. The service is great, but can't make up for the quality of food or it's 80s style atmosphere.

Restaurant
The Village Tavern in Jeffersonville, Vermont is a sleek and spacious eatery located in downtown Jeffersonville. It offers a large menu of American favorites and an extensive wine list. The restaurant, conveniently situated just minutes from Smugglers' Notch, serves hearty pub-style appetizers, soups, salads, and entrees nightly. One of its specialties is the Boyden Burger made from locally raised beef.
Village Tavern turned out to be the perfect (and really, the only) spot in town for an evening out. We stopped by for drinks and were pleasantly surprised to find that, beyond the beer and cocktails, the food was genuinely good — not just standard bar fare. We ordered the Alpine salad and a quesadilla that was absolutely fantastic — not just cheese, but loaded with shrimp and vegetables, making it much more flavorful and satisfying than expected. The atmosphere was exactly what you’d hope for in a tavern: lots of wood accents, a lively bar counter, and the kind of friendly noise that makes the place feel warm and social. The service was attentive and added to the positive vibe. Overall, Village Tavern left a great impression and made for a fun, relaxed evening. We’d happily return next time we’re in town.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Village Tavern in Jeffersonville, VT, conveniently located minutes from Smuggler’s Notch, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a warm and welcoming ambiance. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure our dining experience was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, with a diverse menu that catered to a variety of tastes. I tried the grilled salmon and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with fresh and high-quality ingredients. The portion sizes were generous and the presentation was beautiful. I highly recommend the Maple Chipotle Wings(we are in VT of course) or the Quesadilla Explosion Salad to really get your taste buds going. They offer a variety of classics for kids as well such as Chicken Fingers, Hot Dogs, and Spaghetti. Overall, I highly recommend The Village Tavern to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Jeffersonville. The combination of excellent food, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit destination. I will definitely be returning in the future. PLEASE NOTE: They are VERY busy so you will likely not get through via phone. I showed up in person to a packed restaurant, placed my takeout order and was out within 20 mins.

Restaurant
Hearth & Candle is a fresh American eatery located in Smuggler's Notch, serving a delightful menu inspired by locally sourced ingredients that change with the seasons. The cuisine offered here is truly remarkable, especially considering its location within a ski resort. While some patrons have mentioned being seated in the children's section and experiencing disruptive noises from babies, it is advised to request seating on the quieter floor if you prefer an adult-oriented environment.
We hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner at Hearth & Candle and had a lovely experience. The food was flavorful and prepared with fresh ingredients, and the cocktails were also very tasty. The ambiance was cozy and we loved being able to have the entire restaurant for our friends and family, right on site at Smugglers Notch Resort. The owner Akash was extremely hospitable and easy to work with. He allowed us to arrive early to decorate the space, pick the music we wanted playing, and had menus printed specifically for our rehearsal dinner. My husband and I dined there the night before our rehearsal dinner as well and had another great meal.
Alana — Google review
My boyfriend and I came here our first night in Vermont while on a road trip and staying at the resort for three nights — and we loved it so much that we ordered it for pickup the very next day! Everything was fantastic, from the food to the service. Our waitress (I wish I could remember her name!) was absolutely wonderful — so kind, upbeat, and genuinely happy to be at work. She was serving us in the Birch Room on Wednesday the 8th around 7:15 PM, if that helps identify her, because she deserves some recognition! We came all the way from Missouri, and The Hearth & Candle did not disappoint. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area — and you must get the deviled eggs and fried tomatillos… oh my gosh, they were amazing!
Emily — Google review
From cocktails to dessert, Hearth and Candle was exceptional. I heartily recommend the Bread and Butter, Crispy Pork Belly, Crab cake, and Beef Tartare appetizers. The bread and butter may sound like a boring choice, but it was heavenly. My family said the beef tartare was outstanding. For dinner, we had Filet Mignon, Scallops, Duck Cassoulet, and a Strip Steak special. Each of them was a gastronomic celebration. The Filet Mignon melted in my mouth and my tastebuds will never forget the complimenting flavors. I think the Filet Mignon was the best choice, but some voted for the scallops. Dessert was Maple Creme Brulee which I will dream about for the rest of my life. My family had the apple crisp, which they said was the best they ever had. The cheese cake was thoroughly enjoyed also. The best cocktails we had were the Ube Painkiller (clarified), La Sidre, and Strawberries and Cream (clarified). I am not normally a cocktail drinker and I thought all of these were out of this world.

We got dinner here last night, the food was good and the staff was great. I got the lobster and pasta special which was pretty good and my wife got the lamb rack which was also good. My kids got a chicken parm and a cheese burger. We all got deserts and the bill came to 200$. We try to eat here when we visit Smuggs it’s good! Oh and you have to make a reservation

A favorite in Vermont that surprisingly gets better every time! I remember coming here when I was a kid and it being delicious - they have fantastic options for kids as well as a ‘young adult’ menu that gives higher quality food in smaller portions for the older kids. After visiting this past time, we really noticed some of the food shot up in quality - all our appetizers were extremely unique and delicious, and the entrees were fantastic portions and great! I started with the duck quesadillas, and it was prepared amazingly! For the entree I had the steak frites and it was great! Sampled the whitefish (I believe swordfish) from someone in our party and it was delicious garnished in a chimichurri sauce! Be prepared, the restaurant is pretty expensive, but if you are looking for your ‘night-out’ dinner, this is a great option with some delicious food. Will be back again many times!!
