Dutch Valley Restaurant is a charming, old-fashioned American eatery located in a relaxed farmland setting. They offer a variety of classic American dishes served à la carte or as part of their all-you-can-eat option. The restaurant exudes a cute Amish charm while maintaining an unexpectedly upscale environment. The staff is friendly, and the overall experience is pleasant, making it a great spot to enjoy delicious meals with family and friends.
We really enjoyed our lunch here! We are in our fifties and were in town for a short vacation. The place was super clean and bright, including the restrooms. Our server, Jennifer was super in tune to what we needed, and she was engaging yet not bothersome. We ordered a Raspberry Honey Mustard Club sandwich with fries, sweet tea and a soda. Everything tasted wonderful and fresh, and the sandwich size was generous. The rolls which were brought out before our meal were warm and absolutely amazing, especially with the peanut butter and apple butter spreads provided on the table. Hope to be back in town someday to return here!

Dutch Valley Buffet & Restaurant is the only Buffet on SR 39 worth visiting. Wife and i are done with the Der Dutchman on SR 515 in Walnut Creek and are now loyal to the Dutch Valley Buffet in Sugarcreek Oh off SR 39 in Holmes County Ohio. This place is the cleanest of all, with the freshest food of all. This is the only one left that still offers the Broadest Chicken and that great cream corn. The place is so clean with a great relaxing atmosphere were the food is always hot and fresh. Too many times we were disappointed with the Walnut Creek Der Dutchman in Walnut Creek. This is the only dinner buffet in the area to enjoy a great experience. We visit 2 x per year. I did not have a chance to grab a lot of photos, but here are a few!!!

Came for the Booth Brothers Concert and dinner after. The concert was awesome, the pumpkin cream stick and coffee at the bakery were great before the matinee. The salad bar was amazing as usual. We had the best and nicest server, Deborah! The weather was perfect, too. Our whole group from Fellowship Baptist Church in Canton had a wonderful day🩷
Karen D — Google review
The food is usually very good, however we arrived an hour and 1/2 before closing and waited that long to get a table. It was getting close to closing time and my husband had chosen the buffet, but found only warmed over wings. This was a disappointment since he spent the same as anyone who arrived earlier and purchased the buffet. The rolls were delicious, and the green beans as well. Our Server, Miss Deborah was top-notch...waiting on us with a smile, and she moved quickly, even after alreading serving for 7 hours.

Stopped to get some donuts at Dutch Valley and stayed for lunch. I got the buffet and the food was amazing as usual. Our server was Pearl and she did a fantastic job. She refilled our drinks as needed, and brought us a refill on our bread without having to ask for it. I thought it would be busier for a Saturday but there was no wait to be seated or to get our food. A great meal all around.
Steve M — Google review
Food portions size is generous and the servers are pleasant. Food is fine but nothing outstanding. Like going to an old cafeteria...lots of people eating at one time 😊
Danny C — Google review
The food was nothing too spectacular. The buffet didn't have a lot of options and wasn't worth the 20$ price. Drinks and dessert are not included. The service was good. The wait was long.
Kay B — Google review
We had a fabulous lunch with our family and Tina took such good care of us. The food was great. Service was incredible. Everything you hear about this place in a good way is all worth it.

Carlisle Inn Sugarcreek

Inn
Conference center
Nestled in the heart of Ohio Amish Country, Carlisle Inn Sugarcreek is a delightful retreat that promises relaxation and comfort. This smoke-free inn boasts 69 spacious accommodations, including deluxe rooms and two-bedroom suites, perfect for families or couples seeking a peaceful getaway. Guests can indulge in a complimentary country-style breakfast each morning before diving into the array of amenities available. The inn features an all-season pool with a retractable roof, allowing for year-round enjoyment regardless of the weather.
This is my happy place. When you first arrive at the hotel the landscaping and scenery is breathtaking. The main lobby is gorgeous and the employees are extremely kind and helpful. There is a market, bakery and restaurant all on the hotel property that you can easily walk to. The rooms are spacious, extremely clean and have generous amenities. My favorite spot was drinking my morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the rolling hills of Amish country. The breakfast was delicious and even the guests here are all very kind. The peace and tranquility I had during my stay was much needed. The large Amish shopping area is only a short drive, the hotel is nestled upon a hill away from the hustle and bustle. Also- huge recognition to the woman who was running breakfast by herself- she does an awesome job!
L N — Google review
The Inn was close to 100% occupancy during our recent two day stay, however, there was no drop off in service. This is a wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the two bedroom suite, which was outstanding. I would request that you provide two shower robes in each bedroom. Although you did provide them upon request, it would be a nice touch if they were there when we arrived. We can highly recommend a stay at the Sugar Creek Carlisle Inn.

So glad we came here! Absolutely beautiful room with well made furnishings. Quiet space to sit outside. More flowers in one place than Disney World 😁. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was fine and lots of seating. My only recommendation is to add additional handicap parking. There are so few close to the hotel proper and I saw mostly elderly patrons there. That being said, I hope we will be back again 🥰

We loved our first time visit to The Carlisle Inn in Sugarcreek Ohio! The location was great, and the marketplace and the retail shop in the complex were wonderful. Our room was large and very well appointed, nicely cleaned, our bed was quite comfy and we loved the view of the countryside from our balcony. The elevators were quick and efficient compared to some other hotels we stayed in. The only downside was that the ice machines were only available on the second and third floors. We were on the 4th floor, so getting ice was a teeny bit of an inconvenience. Breakfast was very nicely laid out, the dining area was clean and offered the standard hot foods, pastries, waffle station etc. A standout during our breakfast experience was the amazing, very hard working and sooooo friendly and helpful staff in the dining area. She was such a wonderful, caring lady! This establishment deserves an A+! I highly encourage you to check it out for yourself!

This place is just beautiful! The location is perfect in a more rural area surrounded by farms and serene countryside. Everyone there is so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and coffee is available all day, plus a cookie snack in the evening. Right in the same parking lot is a market, the Ohio Star Theater and the Dutch Valley restaurant which offers a delicious menu and buffet. We plan to return next year.

This was our first trip to the Carlisle....but it won't be the last! What a magical place. I felt like we were in a Hallmark movie...I can only imagine what it must be like at Christmas time! Everyone was so kind. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms were fantastic, clean and spacious. The grounds were nothing short of spectacular. The only thing that was disappointing is everything is closed on Sunday! We can't wait to go back!!!

The Ohio Star Theater at Dutch Valley is a charming and family-friendly venue that has been entertaining audiences since 2007. Located in the serene Ohio countryside, this modern amphitheater-style hall offers comfortable seating with excellent sight lines from every angle. The theater hosts a variety of performances including musical comedies, concerts, and special events, making it an ideal destination for a night out with loved ones.
This place is so beautiful, intimate, and quaint. I was so caught up in our experience that I completely forgot to take pictures on the inside of the theater. They have definitely created a timeless gem here with their village. My family & I will be back this Spring for more of their theater offerings. They have a family friendly environment that welcomes all ages and the staff here as so sweet and absolutely friendly! Definitely worth the drive to come here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Star Production ❤️ Powerful and Professional Production The Road to Damascus at the Ohio Star Theater in Sugarcreek, Ohio, is an outstanding musical that tells the powerful story of the early church from the Book of Acts. Everything about this production is well done—from the flexible and realistic set, to the expertly timed lighting, to the emotionally moving performances. The actor playing Saul was especially impressive, portraying his transformation into Paul with depth and authenticity. The lighting used to show the presence of the Holy Spirit was unforgettable. The music is inspiring, catchy, and beautifully written—enhancing the story at every turn. This show is perfect for those who love the Bible, musicals, or simply want to experience high-quality theater with a meaningful message. We highly recommend seeing The Road to Damascus—you won’t regret it!
Chris N — Google review
We came here for the Glenn Miller Orchestra. We sat in the first row of the balcony, which was an excellent location. The theater building is beautiful and nicely furnished. Judging from the crowd and the tour busses, it's very popular with the older(like me!) crowd! The only hitch was when they played a military song and had the veterans in the audience stand up for recognition. On the hugh screen behind the stage, they showed an American flag flying, except it was backwards!
Jeffrey K — Google review
We took our kids to see The Road to Damascus at the Ohio Star Theater, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The production quality was top-notch—great acting, music, and staging that held everyone's attention (even our kids, which says a lot!). You could tell a lot of care and heart went into the performance. Yes, tickets were a bit on the pricier side, but honestly, it felt worth it for the quality of the show and the lasting memories we made. This isn’t your average small-town theater—everything from the lighting to the sound to the message was done with excellence. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, which made the evening that much better. It’s a clean, well-run venue with a welcoming atmosphere, and it's such a gem to have in Amish country. Highly recommended if you’re in the area—especially for families looking for something meaningful and entertaining to enjoy together.

Nice, clean theater with a hometown feel. The ushers were very friendly as well. We will definitely check out this place for future performances. Thanks for a great evening of laughs!
Ashlea O — Google review
This theater is so nice! We enjoyed Road to Damascus so much. Our seats were on the second row of the balcony and were perfect. The seats are beautifully upholstered and comfortable and the aisle space very adequate. We hope to return for the biblical production next year.
Jan J — Google review
As far as the show goes, Damascus is great I would recommend it to anyone who would like to have a crash course in the book of Acts. But the people who work in the box office, not very nice. I went to buy two tickets and I only had $80 in cash and $80 in my account and explained it to the lady that I would have to pay like that, well she got snippy with me and said "maybe you want to rethink this". Uh no... I made my decision and I want to come to this show, thank you very much!

I visited Wallhouse Coffee Company at the end of April during a trip to the area and I am glad that I did. The Veggie Fresco at the Grillatilla was absolutely delicious. Their Sumatra coffee is exceptionally smooth for a dark blend, free from any bitterness or acidity. It impressed me so much that I bought a bag to take home and will be ordering more online today. The staff was friendly, professional, and provided excellent assistance.
The food was tasty and healthy. Wallhouse panini and chipotle grillatilla were delicious. The caramel coffee ice cream was divine. Dollop of coffee in a hole in the center and chunks throughout=amazing texture. And the flavor spot on. Would go again tomorrow.

Great ice cream! Really great pecan caramel ice cream creation. End of good news. 20 minutes to get a pour-over, 10 min to get ice cream, terribly inefficient processes, multiple health-code violations.
Ryan H — Google review
I live in the area and I adore this cafe. The coffees are incredible and their food is just as good. Service is great as well :) the dining room is too cute. Very very relaxed atmosphere, seat yourself. It reminds me of Panera but WAY better.
Kimberly L — Google review
We love this place. We make sure to stop at least once every time we're visiting Holmes County. Everything's good. The ice cream with espresso poured over the top is an especially nice indulgence.
Todd K — Google review
I've eaten at this place for yrs and always liked it. We moved out of state about 3 yrs ago . I like to come here whenever we come in. And the last several times I've been there the food is still good but the presentation of the food was very sub par. I know there have been several different managers so I think it's just a lack of training of new employees to keep the high standards that puts Wallhouse above others. The employees also need to be friendlier. It was alot better when Matt was in charge.
Anthony — Google review
This is not what I expected - it's really not a great experience. I've been here 3 times over the last 12 months, and haven't ever had a good experience. Once, I was in the drive thru, and they forgot about us. The two times in-store have been quite slow. The back-of-counter process seems quite inefficient, and the staff appears to need training and leadership.
Will H — Google review
Stopped here while on a trip and it was such a wonderful decision! I got the creme-de-la-creme latte (white chocolate, cinnamon, & vanilla) and the “crazy banana” crepe and they were just delicious as their presentation!! I am a former barista, so I know good coffee when I taste it. Thanks for the great service! 🥰

Pizza restaurant
Italian restaurant
Park Street Pizza is a fast-casual establishment that offers unique pizzas, salads, and sandwiches made with locally sourced ingredients. It has gained popularity on social media platforms and attracts visitors with its delicious menu items. While some may have delayed their visit due to a preference for Amish cuisine in the area, Park Street Pizza proved to be an excellent choice for lunch. The signature pepperoni pizza stands out with its flavorful toppings that don't overpower the taste buds. The crust is also perfectly prepared.
I had multiple friends tell me to check this place out and am so glad we finally got to because this is probably the best pizza we've ever ate. The crust is so soft and airy, and sauce is very unique tasting, and the cheese just tops it off to make it the perfect pizza! The cheese bread is absolutely amazing as well. The wait was a little bit but to be expected for great pizza. Nice place with very friendly staff. We can't wait to go again next time we're in the Sugarcreek area!
Amanda M — Google review
Stopped by for an early dinner on Memorial Day. Overall not a bad experience. The best part was the pizza, it was loaded, tasted great and had some leftover to snack in later. The second best part is we didn’t even need to be hungry when we got there, since the wait was so long, we were starving by the time it showed up. We ordered 2 small pizzas at the register and were given a number. First one came about 37 minutes in and second one an impressive 50 minutes later. That in and of itself was inconvenient, but you pay upfront and they have the audacity to recommend a 15-25% tip at the time of purchase. Overall the place is cozy with a modern feel and the staff were friendly. Would go again if I’m in the area (mainly become they seem to be the only ones open Sunday), but I’ll probably be ordering ahead next time.
Cătălin G — Google review
It was excellent. Only one thing...read till the end. My husband and I ordered a plant-based pizza. The best pizza I've ever had, and I plan to visit again. The only thing I didn't like was that they used the same utensils as the other pizzas to cut the pizza. But the person who came to our table explained that they were sorry because the restaurant was too full, and they were. He told us we could change it, to which we said no; we were too hungry. I liked that he was sincere. Someone else would have stayed quiet in his place. I didn't notice any aftertaste, but they need to improve. Because they were so full, they couldn't use the same utensils for the meat pizza. But yes! I would go back again. Delicious.
Cindy S — Google review
This was some of the best pizza I have had in years. I would highly recommend as well as I would go back for sure. The pizza sauce is extremely good as well as the overall pizza. Price was right as well. Very clean.

Good pizza and wings. Must try their avocado fries. They use fresh ingredients making it much better options than other pizza place. I would high recommend this place.
Chintan T — Google review
We discovered this place on a recent trip. It was our first time here and it will not be our last. We ordered a Farmhouse salad, an order of Southwest Rolls, and a Cowboy Chicken pizza. Every bit of it was delicious! From placing our order over the phone to picking up our order, every single staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. If you're in the mood for some delicious pizza, this is the place. Go check it out. It's worth the trip!

Great Italian food in the heart of Amish country! We were told all the ingredients were local and we could tell, the cheese and pesto were amazing! Great environment and service. Very popular place for a Sunday night.

Regretfully tried this pizza place while in the area. Absolutely terrible pizza. The crust was thin and it was not even done, but the edges were burnt looking but not crispy terrible sourdough crust. & oh my was it salty, salty!! so salty I could not eat it. My husband ate a few pieces going down the road. I wanted to turn around and take it back so bad. I honestly wanted to throw it in someone’s face when I took it back. The pizza was so bad makes me not ever Want to even try another pizza out of the blue ever again ugh bad bad yuk

The World's Largest Cuckoo Clock is a charming and whimsical attraction located in Sugarcreek, Ohio. This fully functional cuckoo clock features a water wheel, a dancing couple, and a four-piece polka band. Visitors can enjoy an hourly musical performance by the cuckoo bird from spring through fall. Adjacent to the clock is the Alpine Hill Museum, which showcases the town's history. The downtown area offers plenty of parking for visitors to easily access this entertaining spectacle.
I tell you you got to see it at least once! It is the world's largest, in a very nice small town. I was expecting a little more mechanical action, but it was worth the trip. It runs every 30 minutes and the park around it is pretty nice too.
Keith G — Google review
This is a very unique attraction and well made. However, there are two benches sitting right in front that make it harder to get a great photo without others if you are wanting one. Also, only on the hour and half hour does it “come to life” so you need to plan accordingly to see it at its best. Overall, a neat experience. It’s free to experience too. Also, parking is probably easier on a weekday than on weekends, so be prepared to walk a few blocks.
Katie H — Google review
It was fun to see the Clock and when it goes off on the hour. You can walk around the little city and visit the shops. They do have a museum the show you items from early 1900's It was a good time, but not a whole lot to do for kids. It is also based around eating at the restaurants and ice cream shops.

Well the name fits the description. It is in fact the world largest cuckoo clock. It's worth seeing because you won't see the world's largest anywhere else. Or at least shouldn't.

Just got back from Sugarcreek, Ohio, where the world’s largest cuckoo clock made me question every clock I’ve ever owned. (Sorry, iPhone, but do you have a dancing couple 💃🕺AND a yodeling bird? 🐦⏰ Didn’t think so.) After the clock struck “Whoaaa,” I wandered over to the Alpine Hills Historical Museum & Information Center 🏔️🏛️, where I learned that Ohio has more Swiss charm than my grandma’s cheese drawer. 🧀🇨🇭 10/10 would recommend for anyone who loves quirky roadside attractions 🚗, history 📚, and the thrill of not knowing when a giant wooden bird will pop out and surprise you! 😱😂 #CuckooForSugarcreek #SwissInOhio #ClockedInFun

Very clean organized store with lots of sample products. Prices were better good, and much better than expected for a shop in an Amish Country touristy type of area. Dover Road Dari, an American restaurant in the area, is highly recommended for lunch. Their pizza burger is exceptionally tasty and can be pre-ordered to avoid waiting. Moreover, they offer a reward program where frequent customers can earn free items by spending $10 multiple times. For those seeking a delightful dessert, there is a charming ice cream spot nearby with tables and benches available for relaxation. However, parents should keep an eye on their children as it is situated close to the street.

They were soupy - more of a lumpy milkshake. It wasn't hot outside so we couldn't contribute the heat to the soupy mess we got. We will not return, cannot recommend. It could be an off day but I would never have handed a customer the mess we got.

First time at this location and it was a good experience. Food was hot and fresh. Sandwiches made right. Employees were wonderful, and so was the gentleman standing at the counter. Down to earth and friendly. Very nice experience overall and my toddler was very pleased with the boo buckets

Can’t have gluten so I ordered at double Cheeseburger plain no bun on lettuce and I received to burger patties no chesse in a pool of grease. If I wanted a double hamburger I would have ordered that. Do better!!
J D — Google review
Our entire order was messed up. I mentioned their error while ordering and they assured me they fixed it so I went to the next window and paid. They gave me 2 of my 3 drinks at the next window and pulled me up. I walked in and explained that we were missing a drink and they replaced it. They eventually brought our food out and we drove off and realized that 2 of our meals had medium fries instead of large (not a huge deal) but my daughter's Big Mac meal was missing 1 patty and cheese. This isn't a place that we frequent as we were just passing through. I'm not sure if they're normally this disorganized or not.

Usually my experience is so good here! One of the best.. or so I thought. Not sure why this was played by any manager. I’ve never gone to any McDonald’s and had the medium fry container less than halfway. There’s no fry’s at the bottom either. Really disappointed. Ordered an ice coffee with extra syrup, got charged for it. No syrup at all in it. They have done that to me 3 times now and I’m getting a little sick and impatient with it.

I hesitate to give one star reviews, but after visiting this location numerous times I felt compelled to do so. Please give Sugarcreek something better, and make it a pleasant experience for us. If you need ideas, maybe Dover McDonald’s could help with that. For some reason the drive thru line is long there but empty here. I think Ray Kroc would have something to say here too.
Willis S — Google review
Usually my experiences here are pretty decent and some even wonderful! Typically staff is friendly despite being very short of help due to the pandemic. Yesterday I placed an order via the app like I usually do for the convenience and because I'm usually dead tired after work. The young man with short dirty blonde or brown hair at the speaker and payment/1st window seemed like he didn't want to be there and that we were bothering them. Then we sat at the 2nd window for a few minutes waiting on 2 double cheeseburgers and 1 medium fry. The young lady with brown hair working here was very friendly! One sandwich was customized with mayo, lettuce, no pickle or mustard. I've gotten it several times with no issues. Yesterday when my fiance unwrapped it for me, the biggest mess was all over the wrapper, and upon inspection, it was beyond evident that it was done on purpose. Why? No one deserves that, even if you're short staffed and mad that people keep coming through. We have both worked in restaurants before and understand what you're going through, but don't take it out on others. We will likely avoid this location for a while and go elsewhere until things change, hopefully for the better.
Laura C — Google review
The food was delicious and fresh tasting. The crew were friendly and helpful but I don't know why it seems McDonald's is so slow when ordering takeout inside at the counter. The time to wait for orders inside would never be acceptable in the drive thru.
M K — Google review
I’m not one to complain, or be mean, and maybe y’all were having a bad day, but please when you make sandwiches, be a little more considerate and please don’t put the sauce all over the wrapper. And work on your customer service, y’all were unnecessarily rude. Again, I’m not one to complain, but each time I come here it’s always the same thing. Sandwiches are always messed up.

Bags Sports Pub Sugarcreek is a small establishment located in an area with limited dining choices. Despite not having a reservation, they were able to accommodate a large group of 10 in their outdoor dining area. Although the service was a bit slow, the waitress was friendly and ensured that all their needs were met. The majority of diners were satisfied with their meals, particularly those who tried the well-cooked ribeye steak which had exceptional seasoning.
Wednesday's are wing night. $4.00 for 5 bone-in. $3.50 for 5 boneless. Opted to get the Jalapeño BBQ and Spicy Garlic. Wings are crispy and perfectly sauced. I think they make their sauces in house, and even if they aren't they fooled me. Will be back.

I got a regular burger and fries. I was hungry and almost ordered extra fries. Glad I didn't. They gave me enough fries for a family of 5. Exaggerating, but there were a lot. Great sized burger done the way I like it, and great service. I was impressed.

Based on food and service we would definitely visit again when in the area. We both had moist flavorful chicken sandwiches; my husband also had a cup of chili which he enjoyed.

It has to be the best mushroom and Swiss burger out of all the places I've eaten them. Wife love the pizza burger. Kids love the wings. The mashed potatoes are amazing. My daughter loves macaroni and cheese and rates this place is one of the best for that. All in all very good stop for lunch or dinner. Our hostess named Laura was polite and very attentive even though she was running half the dining room. Was it amazing atmosphere mixed with modern-day folks as well as the Amish. If I'm ever back to sugar Creek I will definitely stop here for food.

My dad and I were in from out of town and I found bags on google. After reading reviews, we decided to try it out. I’m extremely happy we did! My father struggles walking, and rides a motorized scooter. The staff could not have been more accommodating. They offered plenty of options for us and did everything possible to make it easy for my dad to enjoy his visit! Service was fast and extremely friendly. Portion sizes were more than we bargained for; Especially for the price! Plenty of libations to choose from, for all palettes! I’d give a 6/5 if I could, just because of the staff!

Walnut Creek Marketplace was a fantastic stop on our impromptu Ohio tour. Originally, we were supposed to be in Key West, but Hurricane Milton had other plans. Determined to make the best of it, we ventured into Ohio’s Amish Country (not quite the same, but still enjoyable). The marketplace was a highlight, with a great mix of vendors offering everything from Hot Wheels collectibles to handmade Christmas decorations. They even had wine tasting! It’s definitely a must-visit if you want the full Amish Country experience. We had a great time exploring all the unique items.
Gary H — Google review
Love this place. Great place to find some treasures, old and new. Cost a dollar to park. Definitely recommend.
Sandra L — Google review
Inside, air conditioned flea market. $1 to park. Something for everyone. Prices reasonable. Spent about 90 minutes roaming around. My favorite was the airplants! Nice, comfortable Amish rockers, loungers, chairs if you want to take a beer/wine/snack break outside ‘Winetagious’.
Heather — Google review
Wonderful place to stroll & shop! Parking was $1. Some vendors were more expensive than others. There were a few that carried household items items you would see at Target or Dollar General Stores. My favorite was the Amish handmade soaps, facial sprays, & bath salts. ❤️❤️❤️ The vendors are very friendly & it’s always worth asking for a discount if you’re paying in cash!!! Happy shopping!
Angelizm — Google review
Always Clean top to bottom, left to right. Very kind shop owners. Spoke to shoppers like ourselves who were one hunderd to two hundred miles away. Sugarcreek, Berlin area has great places to shop.
Mick H — Google review
Not at all what I expected. Given the name I expected a lot of used collectibles and such. What you get is a collection of buildings filled with vendors selling new items, most fresh off the boat from China, Bangladesh, Vietnam Nam, etc. A huge establishment. Very clean with color coded organization. Prices were reasonable. Very clean. I appreciated the handicap parking.
Gary C — Google review
This is the type of place you need to visit on more than one occasion! The vendors are all friendly and very helpful when looking for something specific. If you are a fan of rustic and primitive decor, I would highly recommend visiting not only the market, but the entire town of Berlin! Decor and furniture is only a drop in the bucket to what this market has to offer. You will find something new each visit!

The gift shop at David Warther Carvings offers a delightful tour, showcasing the remarkable skill and craftsmanship of David himself. He explains the intricate process of creating scrimshaw and crafting small ropes for ships, with some ships even featuring a magnifying glass in their display cases to highlight every detail. The display includes ships from various eras, such as ancient Egypt and the American Revolution period. The tour is captivating and informative, led by a knowledgeable guide who engages visitors throughout.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and meeting the Artist David Warther.. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. David said he is Conveying the History of Ships. His attention to detail is incredible and he continues to add to his collection.

Words are not adequate. Absolutely amazing what David Warther has done and still is doing. Everyone here was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and more than willing to patiently answer questions. We could see David Warther in his workshop working on his current project, and he even came out to talk with us and show us some of his techniques and tools used in working with ivory and tusk. I really appreciated and enjoyed the personal experience everyone provided. This is an amazing display and tribute to David's talent and passion...there are five rooms with i think over seventy-five carvings total. I truly believe this is not "work" for David, it's his calling! I have posted just a couple photos. You really must visit and experience this for yourself!
Bill B — Google review
Wonderful museum of sailing ships crafted in high detail ivory. The best part is he is still carving models and comes out and explains the process.
Greg C — Google review
Was not what I was expecting. An absolutely beautiful collection of 90+ hand carved sailing ships, from ancient Egypt to the 20th century. These scaled replicas include so much intricate detail. The tour guides did a wonderful job walking us through each room and period of vessels while providing nice insights and answering questions. Getting to meet the artist himself (David) was a real treat as he was very friendly, funny and gracious. He didn't mind our kids asking questions and answered all of them with great detail. I wouldn't recommend this to people with little kids, but for teens and pre-teens, it was a wonderful experience.
Andrew W — Google review
Didn't have time for the guided tour, but definitely make sure you do the tour to get the full history of David and his artistic skills in ship carvings. He was in his shop working in one when we visited. He's very humble and just finished his book. Of course, I had to have a shirt and magnet to support this fabulous artist. His dad was also an artist on creating trains, and his museum, I believe, is in Dover. The lady was very nice and welcoming along with giving us David's, his Dads , and his grandmother's history. Such a dying art of such talented people is just amazing to experience.
Rose — Google review
This is an unbelievable place to see. There a beautiful gift shop that also sells the famous Warther knives. You must see the ivory carvings showing the history of sailing ships from around the world. The guide was very knowledgable. Then David Warther came out to talk to us and explain how he carves the ivory and the details that he performs on each ship. This was well worth the stop for our weekend travels.

Walnut Creek Cheese & Market is a must-visit destination for those seeking delicious Amish food and food gifts. The expansive market offers a deli with sliced-to-order meats, a special recipe meat shop, locally grown fruits and vegetables, a bakery with made-from-scratch goods, and an on-site cannery featuring jams, jellies, sauces, and more.
Walnut Creek Cheese & Market was high on our list during our Ohio Amish Country tour. Originally, we were supposed to be in Key West, but Hurricane Milton forced us to change our plans. Determined to make the most of it, we decided to explore Ohio instead, and Walnut Creek Cheese was a must-see for us since we’ve been buying their products from Wayne’s Country Fresh Meats in Keyser, WV, for years. It did not disappoint! The smell as you walk in is inviting and lets you know you’re in for something good. We highly recommend trying their upstairs restaurant—we made it our lunch stop, and the food was served hot, quick, and delicious. Definitely a great choice if you're visiting Amish Country!

Imagine shipping $700 worth of meat sticks ( i sell them at work), 2 of the 2lb bags arrived with mold on them. 4 more unopened bags had mold a couple weeks later. I emailed them these pics and they refused to reimburse me. What do yall think, a good product? Sure when it's not moldy. Customer service? Abysmal.

My husband and I stopped in the Walnut Creek Cheese & Market for ice-cream and coffee! They gave us about three times more ice-cream than expected for less than $3 and let us have our coffees for free since it was later in the day! Although super busy the store seemed to have so much to offer. I only wish we had more time to explore.

Working farm that's also home to hundreds of exotic animals, plus a produce stand & gift shop.
Our family decided to spend a day at The Farm At Walnut Creek, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable adventures we’ve ever had. From the very first moments, you feel like you’ve stepped into another world – rolling green fields, peaceful scenery, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and truly enjoy the experience. 🚗 The drive-through safari was absolutely magical. As soon as we rolled the windows down, curious animals started to approach us, each one eager for a little snack. We were able to feed zebras, llamas, deer, and even a giraffe – an unforgettable experience for both kids and adults. The animals are gentle and friendly, which made every encounter exciting yet calm and safe. 🌿 After the safari drive, we explored the walking part of the farm. It was wonderful to see a variety of animals up close, take our time, and really enjoy the natural surroundings. The staff were kind, helpful, and clearly care deeply about the animals, which made the visit even more enjoyable. For families, couples, or anyone who wants to step away from the rush of daily life, The Farm At Walnut Creek is the perfect escape. We came home with smiles, incredible photos, and beautiful memories. This is not just a zoo or a farm – it’s an experience that leaves you feeling connected to nature and full of joy. We’ll definitely be coming back! 🌟

Awesome day today at Walnut Creek with the family. We didn’t know what to expect when we showed up and thought it was going to be a normal petting zoo. However, it was way more than that. We chose the self guiding tour, which was $15 per adult, and $12 per senior. They have feed you can purchase for $3 a bucket. Bring cash because that’s all they accept. They have an option where you can do a tour on a horse and buggy cart, similar to what you’d see at a pumpkin patch. If we come back that’s what I’d do, so you can interact more with the animals. The self guiding car tour was a lot of fun though so I wasn’t disappointed. The animals literally come up to your car and will eat out of your hands.

Very cool place to see some cool animals. Some were much more demanding than others (like the llama that came running for my car) but it was chaotic fun nonetheless. Definitely requires a good and careful driver to navigate the roadways and animals. Overall the experience comes recommended from me! Hoping to catch a wagon ride if I visit again.
Anna K — Google review
This place was awesome! Well worth the money! If you drive through, your car might get scratched though. No big deal though, just take a wagon instead! Either way, so much fun! The kids loved it! The photos say it all!!!

The Farm at Walnut Creek – Trying to find something to do? Well go ahead and ditch the daily grind and embark on an unforgettable adventure to The Farm at Walnut Creek located at in Sugarcreek, OH. I got to experience this farm when I was up in Ohio for a family visit and let me tell you, this place has over 500 animals from six continents, right in the heart of Ohio's Amish Country. Owned by a North Carolina resident renowned expert in the transportation and care of exotic animals, ran by the Amish and they don’t skip a beat. Forget boring car rides; here, you can choose your adventure: a thrilling drive-thru experience from the comfort of your own vehicle, or for the ultimate immersion, hop aboard a charming horse-drawn wagon ride, me and the family chose the wagon ride of course. Prepare for giggles due to the banter, the knowledgeable and incredibly interactive staff will be your guides, sharing fascinating facts and engaging stories that bring each animal encounter to life, making the experience even more enriching and entertaining for the whole family. IT was a blast, and we were all surprised and in awe as you come face-to-face with exotic creatures like towering giraffes, striped zebras, alongside familiar friends such as horses, fluffy llamas, powerful buffaloes, and graceful deer. The best part? You'll have the incredible opportunity to hand-feed many of these amazing animals, creating memories that will last a lifetime. IF you need something fun and exciting to get out the house make the drive and support a local farm

We have been to Amish Country many times but we had never been to The Farm At Walnut Creek! We will definitely return again and again! We drove our vehicle through because we were new to the experience! The next time we will ride on the wagon and feed the animals. I absolutely loved being right there with the animals. I got so excited with each new animal that came to our vehicle!! I can’t wait until the next time we visit the area so we can return to The Farm At Walnut Creek!!

Honey Bee Cafe is a charming and adorable spot that offers delicious food and excellent coffee. Visitors rave about the wheat wrap with peanut butter, fruit, and honey, as well as the outstanding honeycomb latte. The cafe is known for its superb customer service and quick, friendly staff. While some have noted small hiccups in their orders, overall it's highly recommended for a delightful dining experience.

Amazing little family place that is totally worth every penny of the very moderate prices. Two blonde little boys were serving and greeting the costumers (doing a great job) and made the place feel extremely homey. Advice: totally get the applesauce, it is delicious and made from scratch by the grandma!!

I have tried this cafe on several occasions and have found it wanting on each. The service is slow (once waited in line for 30 minutes to order, and then another 25 minutes for a muffin & a smoothie), they have consistently gotten my orders wrong, food was pricey for very average fare. I have been really disappointed with a place that really is beautiful & could be awesome.

The Age of Steam Roundhouse is a unique train museum located in Amish Country, offering a fascinating experience for school-age children and older visitors. The museum features a full-size working roundhouse with an active workshop that includes a 115-foot train turntable, turntable pit, and 18 stalls housing 22 historic engines. Guided tours provide insight into the wooden water tank, coal dock, ash pit, and more.
Wonderful tour. Frank was a fact filled tour guide with a good sense of humor. He oozes passion for the trains and their place in our history. Well worth the time. I would suggest older guest may want a stick type seat (similar to what is used at golf tournaments) to make the tour easier.

Great visual and historical private collection “not hands on”. Guided tours only by knowledgeable staff of front of equipment while in covered roundhouse, as the guides don’t walk around the units only in the front of them, disappointed. Liabilities waivers must be signed before your tour of property. You are able to see numerous diesel locomotives from 100 yards away and a newly built storage facility for numerous unseen varieties of railroad cars from the same distance. Maybe some day the complete collection will be available to view. To make the visit more appealing you could have a locomotive outside with various cars attached that guest would have access to at their own leisure. Liability waivers signed why no have hands on experience. These trains were built to be outside and enjoyed such as the experience you get at The Mad River Railroad Museum. Thank for sharing your beautiful museum of historic steam engines.

Age of Steam Roundhouse was an awesome experience. Seeing the massive size of the locomotives from early 1900's was amazing. The ingenuity of the times is very impressive. Our tour guide, Scott was informative, friendly and very good with our group. Highly recommend visiting. I hope to go back again!
Terri B — Google review
The Age of Steam is a very impressive museum. We were told this is the largest private collection of steam engines in the US and I believe that. The roundhouse tour lasts over an hour. The guide will tell you everything you wanted to know about steam engines (sometimes too much as it can get technical and small children might lose interest). This is a working museum as they are restoring many of the trains on site as well. In addition, for certain events, you can ride a passenger steam engine. This was a little dissapointing as the train doesn't travel very far before reversing and repeats this maneuver a second time. You do not leave the yard. In addition to trains, the scheduled event celebrated the locomotives role in military. Many WW2 displays were set up in honor of army and navy. If you are a historical buff or train enthusiast, this is the place to see. In addition, there was a shuttle from the parking lot to the main entrance.
Steve K — Google review
A truly impressive collection of steam trains. My son has been an avid train lover since he was just a tot, so whenever we travel near a train museum, we try to visit. This was probably the best we’ve seen so far, certainly in the Ohio valley area. Not only did they have a huge collection of engines, but the set up was clean, and bright, and beautifully laid out. The tour was interesting and engaging, and the turntable was an extra cool thing to see too. Highly recommend for any rail fans!
Grace C — Google review
Had a wonderful time on the tour! Very informative and the time flew by! There were benches for those throughout the tour, but be prepared to stand and slowly walk through the roundhouse during the hour and a half tour.
Angela F — Google review
Amazing and Inspiring. The history and the passion for the steam rail industry is evident. Staff was helpful and cheerful. The grounds and displays were immaculate and amazing. Definitely go check this place out.

Awesome place to go. Great tour guide, an incredible step back into the past when steam was king! I highly recommend going there to learn about the past when steam was used as the backbone for transportation.

This hidden gem in Sugar Creek was such a fabulous place to fund treasures and dud we find treasures. You think it's little, but it's much larger than you think once you get inside. Very well organized into categories, and the lady at the counter was warm and welcoming when we walked into the store. If you're looking for repurpose items, there are all sorts of windows, tools, doors, and such outside. I'm really glad we stopped in as we went by this shop several times.
Rose — Google review
It's a bit of a shock how big this place is inside, as it looks rather small from the outside. Really had fun in this well-organized, reasonably-priced treasure trove of things you didn't know you needed. It's a mixture of antiques, vintage, crafts, and flea-market type items in one space. I left with a beautiful new printed headband and a 1940's hand-mixer. Very eclectic!

I absolutely love this store!! I always find some great finds. It is usually my first stop each trip.

Lots to see and the prices are very reasonable. I love coming here for the fabrics I find. They always have a great selection of doilies. I needed some for a lace purse I'm making and I was happy to find everything I needed. Staff is always friendly too.

The store's commitment to standing behind their products and providing excellent customer service sets them apart in the furniture buying experience.
We have shopped Andreas for over twenty (20) years. Our most recent purchase was a pair of custom upholstered Smith Brothers chairs for our Great Room. We worked with a designer at Andrea’s to select two complimentary materials for each chair pulling a common color from an older, adjacent sofa. Andreas services what they sell also. A nearly five (5) year old recliner had an issue we contacted Andreas service about. A repair was scheduled and made promptly! Clete, Andreas service technician is worth his weight in gold. He is thorough and completed the repair. Andreas checks all the boxes offering a wide selection of high quality, well made furniture at great prices and backed by unequalled service making that combination unbeatable!

Great furniture shopping experience at Andres. Greeted when we entered. Salesman didn't stalk us. Kept his distance till we needed him. Then he was very helpful. We found 2 nice pieces at a reasonable price. Purchased them on Friday. They were delivered right on time by 2 curtious delivery men the mercy Tuesday. Andres have great people, great furniture and they do what they say. Not at all like valuecity furnitre

The staff here is awesome. A family member had bought furniture there about 8 years ago and highly recommended the place. Wide variety of styles. Wide variety of manufacturers. Free delivery for the two chairs I ordered and was $600 cheaper for each chair the same thing in Columbus, Ohio store. I'll make sure I get any additional furniture from here if they care about quality manufacturers

Work with Srewart, wonderful salesperson. So helpful and capable. I absolutely love ❤️ this store, we come from Pittsburgh to shop for our furnishings and home decor, absolutley love everything, their home decor is the best in the two states. Beautiful 😍 🤩 👌. So happy we found this gem.

Awesome sales team. Personalized service. Found the perfect chair we were looking for!

Bought a queen size sleeper sofa, a twin size sleeper sofa and a wing back chair. We've had the small sofa taken back for repairs on the material and a wire broke underneath. I have to keep a cover on it all the time because the material pills. The guy that came to get it got a sweater shaver out to fix it. So I paid almost $2000 for a couch I have to shave. The material on the chair is the same way. So we have furniture we can't touch!! Big couch is ok because nobody sits on it. All of it was bought on January 2024. Sad, my as well bought at Value City!!

This place is phenomenal. Amazing food. The best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had (I know, bold claim. But they back it up with their homemade biscuits!)! The most amazing donuts - which they make all here by the way! Great staff! Amazing atmosphere - clean, warm, cozy, creative! Can’t recommend this place enough. WOW!! This place is now a must stop for us. The food and drinks were delicious. We got a donut that was so fresh and delicious, likely the best we have eaten. We also got a scone that was so moist and favorable. We enjoyed an energy bite ball that was rich and creamy too. We loved the biscotti too. Everything tasted so good. Then we got a smoothy and a green drink. The worker was great about substituting an item I couldn’t have in my drink without any issues. There was not a single thing we did not love. The service was top rate and we loved the atmosphere. We will definitely return!

I definitely recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or even dinner! Thank you guys for the great service.

This is a cute small shop with really great food. We were in Sugar Creek and stopped for breakfast. The atmosphere was pleasant and with really cute decor. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. We had the strawberry doughnut. The pic shows a full sized plate. 🤪 be sure you are hungry. We shared the doughnut and breakfast bowl, which was also very delicious. Definitely stop in if you want good food and great atmosphere.

Very helpful and educational to older women. I do very much appreciate Richies understanding that he would have to carefully explain everything to me and point me in the best purchasing direction with options. On top of that, he provided two resources for training for me.

East of Chicago is a popular pizza chain located in Berlin. They specialize in customizable deep-dish pies, along with wings and subs. Customers have praised the quality of food and service at this establishment. The staff is known for being friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all. The menu offers a variety of options to cater to different preferences, including a buffet with a great selection. First time eating here and yet it was a very great experience for my Hubby and I. All staff are friendly and nice. All food was OMG so heavenly good and fresh!! 10/10.

There could have been more options for the buffet. There were some Karens sitting at the table located outside by the main entrance smoking. I would advise using the other entrance unless you want to walk through a cloud of smoke.
Isabela M — Google review
Friendly staff and all the food was delicious. We were the first customers of the day and we're able to choose which items we wanted on the buffet. Highly recommend!
T S — Google review
It was great pizza but you need a little more variety on your buffett.
Cierra F — Google review
We had stopped for the buffet, but they had shut it down early for lack of customers. So we ordered in and was promptly served. The food and services are what we've come to expect from East of Chicago. If it wasn't for all the other local establishments to eat, this place would be on our short list of places to eat when in the area. Most of the locals close early, and it was later in the day is why we ate here this day.
Steve S — Google review
They were very accommodating. Not much of a selection and a bit pricey.

We ate here for dinner on Monday, July 24. The food and service were excellent. The lady who took our order and brought the food was friendly and even came back out to check on us. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. We loved it so much we ate at the Berlin location later in the week on our last day in the area.

I had a wonderful experience trying out Pizza Parlor V for the first time. The pizza was fantastic, but I did encounter a minor issue with the sauce. Despite requesting light sauce, it seemed like they added extra sauce and it ended up making quite a mess. However, the staff at Pizza Parlor V was incredibly helpful and provided excellent customer service. They quickly assembled my order, even though I was short on time, and made sure everything was to my liking.
Ordered the large all meat pizza. We dined in and the staff were attentive and kept my drink glass filled. The pizza was very good. Much richer tasting sauce and cheese than I’m used to in the South East. Toppings were plentiful.
Larry T — Google review
Please don’t waste your money. I try to give a lot of food places a free pass even if it’s not great. The food was disgusting. The sub has NO taste or sauce and the so called fish and chips well don’t waste your money. I can understand why I never see anyone eating inside it’s a very uncomfortable atmosphere inside . If you’re going to have indoor seating make your customers feel welcome. Overall I wish I would have ate at McDonald. Sad I was hoping for a good pizza place. Very disappointing
Fred R — Google review
While waiting for our food, one of the kitchen workers was yelling and cursing at another employee so loudly. Very unprofessional, I understand young kids work there but the manager was sitting on his but doing nothing.
Banjo P — Google review
Fantastic friendly staff most of the employees are local high school kids glad the owners give kids opportunities for employment
Steve S — Google review
After hearing the price of a single full sub, I almost decided to cancel my order. Thankfully I didn't. After paying for my order, they handed me my sub and I went from thinking I was over paying, to thinking, this is no 'Subway' sub. The thing had to weigh at least 3 lbs. It was two, rather large, meals. And could've easily been 3. Unfortunately it was so delicious, I ended up over eating and only got 2 meals out of it. I could complain about the service but I won't be so picky. It was a fairly young crew and I understand that there is a labor shortage. While they may not have been real personable, thankfully I was looking for food, not a friend. Plus, they make one heck of a sub!
Jeff I — Google review
The pizza was super good and the service was great!
Maleatha H — Google review
Ate here since a child, with this evening being the last ever. I don't know if the kids working here do stuff on purpose or what but you cannot get an order the way you ask to save your life. From pizza with extra extra sauce when you ask for light, to charged for a chef salad and getting a small with lettuce and cheese and one single pepperoni. Consistency wrong is their only strong trait. It's sad because if you can tolerate incorrect orders the food is good and local. I won't be back.
Wayne E — Google review
Service was slow even though no one was in there. It took 40 minutes to get a parlor sub and a order of fries. They were more worried about take out orders than actual customers sitting in the restaurant! Just because we're the only ones in there doesn't matter. We still deserve to be waited on. And this is probably why you don't have customers!!!! Will Not be back.

Brick Town Tavern is a charming establishment with excellent service. The bartender, Heather, is exceptional and the cook, Marie, is efficient. During the yearly Abate Out of Hibernation run, patrons enjoyed drinks while some opted for food. They offer a variety of delicious beverages including the delightful caramel apple cider. Under new ownership and recently remodeled, the tavern now features amenities such as a credit card machine and a well-maintained restroom.
Wife and I stopped here after a day in Amish town shopping. We were the only ones in the plave, and that was fine by us. Very inconspicuous place and you could drive right by it and miss it. Turn around and make sure you hit this place up. The bartender was extremely nice and waited on us. They have no fryers, so you get a bag of chips with your burger. The burgers come in singles or doubles. We ordered a single BBQ and Jalepéno Burger. Barbecue sauce was delicious and the Jalepéno burger had plenty of peppers and nacho cheese on it. They were juicy and delicious🩶We washed them down with a couple of Bumble Berry beers and were on our way all in 35 minutes. We will definitely stop here again if ever back this way. Give them a try!

Ordered three chicken soft tacos and three beef soft tacos. Chicken soft tacos were nice strips of grilled chicken lettuce and cheese. Beef soft tacos or ground beef lettuce and cheese. Very good portions and delicious. Others in my party have the cheese quesadilla with rice and the stuffed burrito. Everyone agreed the food is delicious and the prices reasonable.
