Derby Street Shops is an upscale outdoor mall in Hingham, with a coastal New England vibe. The long, tree-lined sidewalks and vintage-style street lamps give it the charm of a seaside town. With around 65 shops and restaurants, including popular retailers like Apple, Sephora, and Whole Foods, there's something for everyone. The open spaces make it perfect for events and family outings. Located conveniently off RT.
Loved this area. This is where we spent a lot of money eating at the many many restaurants an food kiosks. Loved the outdoor area where we sat to eat. There was entertainment and many local artisan booths.

The Derby Street Shoppes project in the early 2000s was a home run for both the developer and the town of Hingham! It revamped an old mall highlighted by out of date stores into an open-air destination shopping plaza. High-end stores, coupled with signature restaurants, continue to drive record shoppers to the convenient location along Route 3.

This is an upscale shopping center. Great well kept stores. You can kind anything and everything. Loved it.

love it here! good shops yummy eats and even a cute restaurant. very clean ample parking and a whole foods!

Wide selection of upscale merchants and restaurants. Very easy and ample parking. I visited Talbot's, Chico's and Burton's. First time visiting Burton's but I will be back. From 3-6pm they have a selection of $9.00 small plates. I had the Sauteed Shrimp - 🍤 several large shrimp sauteed in a small cast iron skillet with spinach, garlick, feta cheese and finished with white wine - very tasty! Service was excellent and friendly. Good selection of wine. The bar area has been recently renovated adding 8 seats and the interior feels bright and airy.
Elizbeth J — Google review
You have many restaurants to enjoy fine dining, quick bites and indulge with a sweet dessert. Have your meal outside, enjoy the weather. Art exhibits throughout the shopping area. Shopping for food and house items, clothes and accessories. Have fun with your day, it is not just for shopping. Everything you need with one stop.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This mall is one of my favorite places to shop. I always find everything I’m looking for, the stores are well organized, and the place is spotless. The staff is also very friendly and always willing to help. Definitely a place I highly recommend visiting!

Restaurant
Located in Hingham, MA, Scarlet Oak Tavern is a popular dining spot offering a wide selection of American cuisines including salads, sandwiches, appetizers, and entrees. The restaurant features an elegant bar area with an extensive wine and beer list. Its casual and comfortable ambiance makes it suitable for various occasions. Additionally, the outdoor dining area provides beautiful views of the nearby lake.
Scarlet Oak Tavern in Hingham, Massachusetts, continues to be one of our favorite dining spots on the South Shore. As you step inside, the place gives off a warm, welcoming feel. Parking is easy, and the hosts and waitstaff are always friendly. Even with the crowd over Columbus Day weekend, we were seated quickly, and the manager took a moment to stop by and say hello. The Hanger Steak Frites with Bone Marrow Butter is a go-to favorite in our family. It’s a good idea to make a reservation, which you can easily do through their website. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our meals. We had nice seats facing the real wood fireplace. The New England clam chowder was excellent. Very creamy and flavorful. The bowl was quite large and perfect for sharing. The pancetta, fig and goat cheese pizza was super delicious. I can't wait to get it again! The service was very good and we were seated very quickly. We will return.

First time and we thoroughly enjoyed our late lunch. Arrived before the dinner crowd, upon leaving there was a wait. Steak tips good- Would get again Potato crispy haddock over corn chowder- excell!!!! Crab cheddar dip-excell as well. Baby back rib app -excell - sauces enhanced ribs wonderfully Plenty of leftovers for meal at home Staff servers very efficient. Sat at high top in bar, overlooking the patio We dined as an older couple. Several families dining too. Bar full. Prices quite reasonable. Bill total Before tip $120 Look forward to going again

I stopped by for a burger and it did not disappoint. I got the black angus burger with swiss, bacon, mushrooms, and caramelized onions. Staff was attentive, food was good and perfectly cooked, and it's a nice spot. I need to try their dinners next!
Brian V — Google review
First time trying this place and I have to say it was one of the best steak dinners I've had in a long time, cooked to perfection! The atmosphere was very cosy and had a singer on at the patio area, just what was needed for a nice relaxing dinner. Had a glass of wine and a cocktail, both which were fantastic and the staff were tremendous all night. Will definitely be back again!
Brice M — Google review
Incredible service! My Uber dropped off a bit earlier than expected but it was pouring rain outside. The manager was kind enough to unlock the door and let me in before they opened. Would return for this reason alone!

THEY DON'T SERVE RANCH Y'ALL....just an fyi to anyone that wants it...they don't carry it. "Chef doesn't like it". I don't like work but I still gotta go. The fries were good, onion rings were a bit salty for our liking, friend said the turkey club was super good. Pizza I got was crispy. Overall, it was a good meal. But we now know to bring our own bottle or ranch. (Insert Kermit the frog face here)

The staff very attentive and friendly. We had the chicken pot pie which was excellent. Scarlett oak is definitely one of my favorite restaurant for its welcoming and homey feeling.

Historical landmark
Wompatuck State Park is a sprawling 3,500-acre public recreation area located mostly within Hingham's boundaries. It offers a 250-site campground with trailer camping facilities and electric hookups. The park features 40 miles of forest trails and an additional 12 miles of safe roads closed to motorized traffic, making it perfect for outdoor activities like biking. Visitors can also enjoy the pure spring water from Mt Blue Spring, which has been flowing since the mid-19th century.
Wompatuck State Park has one of the best trails in south shore. Trails are easy to moderate, well marked trails make it easy to find your tracks. Nice and quiet, pet friendly but occasional mountain bikers will whizz pass you with casual hello. Campgrounds are available for adventure seekers and there are tons of parking as well. Info center features restrooms but needs cleanliness, though.

This is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful place with ample and amazing accommodations. Showers, electricity, water, and campfire grills are free on site. Firewood bundles are available for purchase. There are so many trails for walking and bicycling. Very dog friendly. Children love it here. I only hate posting this because I don't want to miss out on future reservations due to it being full!
Stephanie P — Google review
Wompatuck offers over 3,500 acres of forest, waterways, streams and ponds with over 40 miles of trails that wind you through the park. We parked by the Aaron River Reservoir area and walked the few trails that lead you to the Reservoir and other bodies of water that you pass as you wander about. There are a few benches and a picnic table along the trails, we did not pass any public restrooms. There is plenty of parking near the trailhead to the Aaron River Reservoir. The park is dog friendly, with notice to keep dogs on a leash at all times. Great spot to spend the afternoon.
Jamie W — Google review
The camping area is very peaceful, natural and beautiful. goos specious area for vehicles, kids to play around. Table, fireplace , water facilities and washrooms accessible in camping site. Clean washroom with bathing facility.
Suhel S — Google review
The staff are what made this campground really wonderful. They're a great resource for places to go and things to do. This is a great place to bring a bicycle as there are many places to ride, even just around the campground. As always camping depends on who your neighbors are, whether it's the solace of the campground or the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Staff does their best. You have two options: the more rustic side or the powered side. Each gives the campground a completely different feel.
Michele L — Google review
Beautiful state park. We camped here in early summer and enjoyed the quiet surroundings and numerous walking and bike trails. We stayed in a non-electric site. I think some of the facilities were dated, but that’s ok.
James P — Google review
Quiet campgrounds surrounded by thick, lush forests. It's easy to forget your 40 miles from Boston.
James G — Google review
It's a very nice park with many camp sites, half are electric. Bathrooms are weird though. Walls and floors always wet and dripping. I expect that in Louisiana, but up north it was strange especially when you use facilities in the middle of the night. I don't believe there's heat in them. Close enough to drive into Boston and hingman is a quaint little town with excellent cafes and eateries, boutiques and an old theater in a town hall with up to date movies. The park is very well used.

Mediterranean restaurant
Cava is a delightful Mediterranean eatery located in Hingham, where the essence of Mediterranean cuisine comes alive through thoughtfully crafted dishes. The menu features an array of customizable options, including vibrant greens and grains bowls, pitas, and salads that cater to diverse palates. Diners can indulge in small plates or heartier entrees like succulent lamb shank paired with root vegetables, roasted chicken infused with rosemary and potatoes, or a flavorful steak tagliata served alongside arugula and parmesan.
If you’re looking for some quick Mediterranean food, Cava is the place to go! The spicy lamb pita is one of my favorites and I also enjoy the steak and harissa bowl. They also have some unique drinks to choose from. There are a good amount of tables, but they can fill up during the busy time. The restaurant itself is always very clean. And service is good.
Owen — Google review
Stopped in for a casual bite with my buddy around a non conventional meal time and it was still pretty busy. No line but the small menu hung high above your head from the ceiling made it difficult discovering the best option to order. I ended up going with a make-your own-bowl. Ton of options to mix in with your rice or salad added to a protien of your choice. Falafel was a nice vegetarian option which looked amazing, but I ended up going with the chicken. Ill have to try it next time! Impressed with the endless amount of options to garnish the base and bring as many flavors as possible to each bite. Fairly priced for the quality and portions, but most of the staff seemed like they diddnt want to be there. Deliciously fresh medditeranian themed Chipotle style Cafe line. Clean atmosphere with plenty of tables to sit down. Tzadziki sauce for the win! Dont forget that extra pickles is never enough pickles. Exited to go back!

What stood out the most was how personable and genuine Katrina was — it didn’t feel like just another transaction. She treated us like valued guests, not just customers. That level of care and attention is rare these days, and it made our visit so much more enjoyable.
Virginia D — Google review
This CAVA is amazing. The staff is super friendly, shoutout to Mario and Leo my bowl was delectable! It is very clean and pretty and the music is a vibe. I recommend getting tzatziki and chips in the side it’s THE BEST. Also the diet Mexican soda is THE BEST.
Angel B — Google review
We got take out and 5 items of my greens and grains bowl were missing and my husband had 3 items missing from his bowl. There was half a handful of greens, missing dressing and missing free pita. This is the second time from this location. The rice was wet, I couldn't tell if it was oil or water. Very disappointed. Will not be returning to this location.
Krista C — Google review
Delicious and nutritious! You can get a little bit of everything in one bowl. Spicy marinade & sweet honey drizzle, tender chicken & crunchy cucumbers, tangy pickled onions & savory feta sauce... its alot of flavor and a price that matches. About the same amount of food as a good sized Chipotle burrito bowl but we all know that can be inconsistent. So spend a few extra bucks, get a consistent helping of incredibly tasty food with great variety and vibrant color. Got the Harissa Chicken. Great substitute for when you're craving hot fried chicken. Hits all the spots with none of the guilt.
Wesley D — Google review
Workers were great. Not overly friendly - just doing their thing and polite. Which is why it was so quick! Food tasted fresh. Quick, easy, tasty. Good portions. You just need to ask for everything they’ve got. Love the toppings.
Jackie — Google review
What an incredible place. Shout out to the staff during lunch rush. They were all on point! Ashley, the one running the register, had noticed I had an order left behind and was awesome enough to have Mike come out looking for me in the Plaza's parking lot. Very likely my fault for being in a rush but at the same time. This was during a lunch rush, and they had zero reason to come looking for me. Other places most certainly would NOT. This is one of many reasons why this place is excellent. Highly recommend this place. Once again I could not thank Ashley and Mike with the rest of the staff enough to have made this already rough day a little better. Thank you 😊 🙏

Mexican restaurant
Vida Mexicana in Hingham, MA offers a warm and friendly atmosphere with attentive service. The restaurant is located off the main road with ample parking and both indoor and outdoor seating. Guests praise the well-made drinks, efficient wait staff, and delicious food that is well-seasoned and presented beautifully. The bartender receives high praise for excellent suggestions on margaritas and tequila shots.
BEAUTIFUL SPOT! the food was so good, I ordered the street tacos with extra salsa verde. SHOCKED that it is so empty as someone who went at 5PM on a Monday. Luis and the woman who sits you are both lovely. Please support this business if you’re local!!
Sydney — Google review
Excellent place for dine in or take out. This is my kids' (11 & 13) favorite place. Food is great and the portions are huge so we always end up taking leftovers home. Especially good are the desserts, both the churros and fried ice cream. Prices aren't bad and the kids menu is very affordable. I'd recommend the burritos, fajitas, tacos and especially the Salmon Vida. For take out, they include the complimentary chips and salsa, as if you were dining in, which is rare and definitely appreciated.
Chris W — Google review
No chance in hell those recent 5 star reviewers are real. This restaurant is disgusting. I’ve given it a couple of chances and this was the final straw since it’s officially gross. **Frozen flies in my ice** which I do not have a pic of unfortunately. It was right there visible for all to see. They took it right back. My friends drink was also dirty looking. The steak tacos had random sides (raw onion when there’s already cooked onion on the taco was random), cup of cilantro, and green liquid…? I asked where the pineapple salsa was along and they told me it was the green liquid. The manager seemed to take the frozen bugs in our drinks and questions about the food very personally and said we were all set to go without paying… even though we only wanted the drinks taken off the bill. We appreciated that they didn’t charge us for anything since it was very unclean and questionable looking. We weren’t the only people asking questions about the food. We saw a family send theirs back as well. We were surprised at how rude and unprofessional the manager was. We left cash tip for the server as we left since we felt bad for them. The restaurant itself was also freezing cold and from what I could see, every customer had their coats still on. There are other local Mexican restaurants that deserve the business. This place does not.
Alex R — Google review
They have probably the best margaritas we've ever had. We've had better Mexican food, but not in the Boston area. The staff is excellent, and they make groups large and small feel comfortable.

Owner needs to find his or her passion! 1st our waitress was amazing Our food was good. 3 stars is due to the cleanliness. The menus are absolutely disgusting! They should be burnt! The building is run down especially on the outside. You can tell at one point there was pride in this establishment!
Bill F — Google review
Just had a Business Lunch meeting at Vida Maxicana at Hingham. The staff here was very polite and helpful. There is plenty of parking in front and backside of the restaurant. The food was decent can’t call it authentic Mexican but they do have a good variety and lunch specials. Overall, we enjoyed our food and the prices were reasonable.
Vinny K — Google review
Off of a main road. If you drive too fast you will miss your turn to enter. Lots of parking spaces and great indoor and outdoor space. The drinks we enormous and well made. The wait staff was quick, efficient and visited our table enough that we felt properly cared for. The food was amazing, well seasoned, cooked well and presented in a both visually appealing manner and at a proper temperature to both enjoy and eat right away.
Abi — Google review
Not the best, not the worst. Atmosphere is cool, maybe a little over the top compared to super authentic feeling, hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurants. Service was friendly and fast. Margarita’s were tasty but if you like to taste the tequila they could have been stronger. Food was fine.

The restaurant chain has a contemporary ambiance and provides a diverse menu featuring various seafood options, making it an ideal destination for those looking to enjoy a sophisticated dining experience with an emphasis on fresh, delicious seafood.
The food was excellent. They have their own ships for the lobsters/fish/scallops.The service was superb. Jennifer, our server, was knowledgeable, helpful, and made great suggestions.

Anticipating getting dinner after Christmas shopping at the Derby Shoppes. Made reservations at Legals. Reservations are a must in all of the restaurants around the Derby Shoppes as well as any Legals Restaurants. Sat on time. Service was excellent. Attentive, friendly, polite and professional. Food was delicious and delicious. The only quirks I have are the chowder was lukewarm and the food servers literally dropped the dishes on the table rather than place them as appropriately in front of the right diners. Also, dropping French fries from our orders onto the floor and not cleaning up after. Afraid that the French fries on the floor could be a hazard and an accident waiting to happen, I picked up the fries off the floor so that nobody will slip on them. However, will definitely return to try other items on the menu.
Ben L — Google review
Ordered the shrimp scampi pasta online for pick up, quick and easy. Flavor was amazing, only downside is that the takeout portion is NOT the same size as the dine in version and they sell for the same price. (Picture of the take out size) I have never been able to finish the plate at the restaurant. I was still hungry after this meal! Thankfully they did add some rolls on the side. Will probably avoid ordering this for take out again.
Sally M — Google review
The two ladies who were standing in the front didn’t seem too happy to be there. There was no proper greeting. Immediately said 45 minute wait although the restaurant was not packed. But realized suddenly we had a reservation. The waitress didn’t give I want to be here energy. She was not attentive. She asked if we wanted the bread, but never brought it over. Not a huge deal since we were expecting our food but next time just don’t ask. The clam chowder was perfect and the clam belly’s. The French fries were soft, and didn’t taste fresh. I just think the overall experience didn’t make me feel welcome. My husband says his yellow fin tuna was good. The kids mostly played with their food. They have quite a bit of options for kids.
Danielle S — Google review
This location is nice, clean, newer and not super busy. A nice go-to for dining out and can be great for date night or a family dinner. Legal Seafood is my kids’ favorite so we dine here quite a bit so we like trying different locations just to change it up a bit. My first time at this location and I would come back again! I like that it’s in a large plaza with plenty of parking.

I loved the service. We went on a Monday with no reservation during lunch time and it was great. Not much people and we were able to eat. The host attended us right away and the waiter too. Also, the host seated us on our preferred table. The food was good and some apps are very innovative.
Marely M — Google review
Best chowder in town. Enjoyed a full range of food at our legal visit. Started with the clam chowder, which was delicious. Also tried the shrimp tempura sushi and the burger. Sushi was decent, and the burgers were great. Also came with the best steak fries I have had in a while. Definitely didn't skimp on the aperol in my spritz. Looking forward to our next visit, especially with such an extensive menu.
Michelle A — Google review
My wife and I have no problem spending $40-$80 per plate for dinner. The problem here is that I expect the kitchen staff to put a little effort into the preparation and presentation, and not take a bong hit before reading the kitchen instruction book on how to make what is on the menu. For starters, got seated quickly on a relatively slow night, and waited 5-10 minutes to get a club soda with cranberry juice. After that the server disappeared for 10-15 minutes before taking order for appetizers. Again disappeared for long periods of time before refilling glasses. All in all food quality and service was disappointing considering what was spent. Won’t be returning.

General store
The Barrel is a general store that may have gone unnoticed despite being passed by numerous times. Although the deli was missed due to the late hour, the alternative of a ready-made sandwich proved to be satisfying. The freshness of the ingredients, as well as their use of Boars Head products, left no room for disappointment. With plans to visit again in mind, this establishment has become a preferred choice for deli needs. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, adding to its appeal.
This is a gem, offering a great deli counter, where you can order sandwiches. I had the California BLT, which was yummy and had plenty of filling. My partner was able to order gluten free. They have GF bread, it's okay, GF wraps would be better. They also have fancy coffee and kombucha on tap.
Alan S — Google review
I love this little shop! Cold drinks (alcoholic and non), fresh meals and treats, random things you might need from a corner store, and an ice cream stand with soft serve and Italian ice to boot! There’s even a tiny table with two chairs on the small front stoop.
Kristy J — Google review
The deli is open Monday to Saturday from 11am to 3pm. The sandwiches are great! Photos of menu attached. They also have an outdoor window on the right side of the building that serves soft serve ice cream!

I’ll never drive through Hingham again without stopping by this cute (but we’ll stoked) country market. I got the BLT 🤗

First time there though I've driven by a ton of times. Missed the deli because it was after 4PM so settled for a pre-made sandwich - I was not disappointed! So fresh and yes they use Boars Head - I can't wait to go back - this will be my go to deli. The staff were super friendly and welcoming and after looking around there is so much I want to try!

Amazing selection and service given the size. Wide array of ready to eat prepared meals, deli, great selection of beer, and on tap coffee. Love this place.
Darrell M — Google review
It is a fun local convince store. It might be of historical significance, but I don’t know. They have anything any other convenience store would have, but they also have muffins year round and ice cream in the summer. There is a rabbit there that was allegedly mistreated by the owners, but I don’t know if that was found to be true.

World's End is a serene coastal park that provides breathtaking views of the Boston skyline and features 4.5 miles of picturesque trails. The park, located in the Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area, offers easy and accessible paths along rocky shorelines, making it a local favorite for its stunning vistas over the city's harbor. Visitors can enjoy birdwatching and explore the beautiful conservation area.
What an AMAZING park. It's so beautiful. Well laid out. Perfect amount of benches. I wish it wasn't almost 3 hours away. It's a place I'd like to frequent more often. And sitting on a bench looking at the Boston sky line is the best way to see Boston.

I would say this is a moderate level trail. With venturing down paths - we reached 4 miles and completed the loop the 2 hour mark. It has moderate inclines and hills so please wear appropriate footwear. It was so serene, clean, and the staff were friendly. I loved finding the posts indicating where you were on the trail - they were ALL clear to read, vibrant in color, and informative. We never got lost. Other hikers and walkers were also friendly and smiled!

Beautiful hike with both woodsy areas and more open fields and meadows. Views of the Boston skyline! Easy to walk, some inclines and more trail like areas.

I grew up here. This is my home and I love this place. There is truly no place like The Worlds End. It's my pleasure to pick up old plastic from this sureen landscape that will never be touched. Don't drive by on your way to the beach. Stop here first then the beach then Ice Cream etc. It's gorgeous.

A gem in Hingham, Massachusetts. The preserve is large, with large trees and a beautiful coastal trail. The paths are wide enough for a double stroller but are gravelly, making it a little difficult to push. There are also some steep inclines that make pushing a stroller more difficult. Mid-August to mid-September, there are beautiful fields of yellow and white wildflowers. The staff is very friendly. Make sure to reserve parking in advance on Trustees.

Well maintained shore side park with a Boston skyline view. Definitely worth to stop by on the way to/from cape cod or if you find yourself at Quincy. They close just before sunset which was really a shame because the view was just getting stunning.

It's a beautiful park and well-maintained. The walk was leisure and comfortable with sheds and good scenery. I would like to go again with kites, Frisbee, food & drinks for picnic there. I saw a lady at the entrance to check the parking coupon. also can pay at the entrance, if I am not wrong.

Hingham Harbor Bathing Beach is a serene spot for picnics, offering ample overhead foliage and a lush lawn along the coast. The beach features a new bathhouse and informational signage, as well as hosting the Hingham Farmers Market during the summer. Situated on the west side of Hingham Harbor, this public park includes a beach, grassy space, bandstand, concessions, and restrooms.
Love the accessibility and affordability of this little beach (free to park, paved ramps and walkways, benches and picnic tables, and less crowded than Nantasket). There’s even a little food place open on weekends!

Very nice beach to relax and sunbathe!
Boris N — Google review
Just like the name suggests, this is a great place to sunbathe. It wouldn’t be my first choice for swimming because the water is murky and muddy and there is no shade on the beach itself. Things worth going for - free parking (some of which is shaded), there is a grassy area with grills, a nice bathroom, and the onsite restaurant has a great menu with reasonable prices!

Small walk path but nice place. Frozen shore looks very nice on low tide. Sea Gulls was resting on the frozen water. Ripples on the water due to gusty winds looks so awesome. Nice to spend an afternoon on a bright sunny day.

I never been down on the beach part but enjoy sitting at the park area. Beautiful looking out at the harbor and a wonderful breezes sitting under the trees and just relaxing. They did build a summer food place in the adjacent parking lot as well if you're interested in that.

I have small children and was referred to Bathing Beach because of the calm waters and it was exactly that! I did not have to worry when the kids wanted to go out on the water. What I loved most was that it wasn’t crowded, it’s free parking onsite, the restrooms are clean, and there is also a snack bar if you get hungry or thirsty.

Stars On Hingham Harbor is a waterfront restaurant known for its comforting American classics and extensive selection of microbrews. The lively diner-style atmosphere adds to the experience, making it a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. Located near Hingham Harbor Park, it's a convenient stop for those looking to enjoy delicious food and refreshing drinks after a day of activities like kayaking.
I love coming here as it's a hidden gem w/in the south shore and whenever I am in the area, I have to stop by for their awesome breakfast. I am becoming a regular at this place which is great as it's so warm and welcoming. Love the holiday spirit in there and just overall feel of the place. Pictures are from 3 different times that I have visited on the weekends. The menu stays the same however I always try to take advantage of the specials that happen every weekend. It is never the same so always try their awesome food. I love so far their Breakfast Tacos and the "Cali" Eggs Benedict. But will be looking forward to trying other menu options soon. Please come by for breakfast or if you're looking to swing by later in the day, it is the place to be.

The server was kind of new, learning her way, attentive, and helpful. Food rec'd rave reviewers from our out of town guests. That was good to hear. We were exhausted from several days in Concord and Lexington, where we didn't have a disappointing meal! We had french onion soup [needed to meld a bit more], burger [v good, "tots just potato"], turkey sandwich [oh, so good!], and fish & chips [good, the slaw was "incredible"]

Great breakfast spot with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Parking is limited, so plan accordingly, but definitely worth checking out.

What a great find and apparently I was the last to find it . If you’re going to visit on a Saturday morning you better get there early. The lines started backing up just before 10:00 am. One of the daily special items was blueberry cornbread. That may have been the best corn bread I’ve ever had. The staff waded friendly and the food was served quickly and hot. All was delicious and the full bar was a nice touch . The views from the window seats were great. This jewel was well worth the drive into Hingham and was what I missed might say a destination breakfast.

Service was busy, server communicated with us about slower wait times but got this beer and was told the keg kicked halfway, they told me to pour it into the craft glass myself and that is what I got. Kinda absurd to pay for it! Other than that the food was good.

I was in town for a wedding and while the groomsmen got ready, the wives went for brunch and it was incredible! We were greeted by the friendliest staff and a steaming cup of coffee as soon as we were seated. We all raved about our dishes; all delicious and large portions! We loved that all the toast came from Fireking Bakery. As a huge craft beer lover, I was blown away by their offerings and looking for an excuse to go back for lunch or dinner for another amazing meal accompanied by a local craft beer! Bare Cove Park, located in Hingham, Massachusetts along the Weymouth Back River, spans 484 acres and was once home to the Hingham Naval Ammunition Depot. Today, it serves as a wildlife sanctuary and public recreation area with miles of paved trails for various activities.
We actually planned on going to worlds end but did not know you needed to make reservations. So Bare Cove Park was close by and I’m really happy we decided to hike! Well worth the visit. Easy parking. Beautiful views, and plenty people walking dogs. Very friendly place and easily accessible. I would highly recommend coming here for your nature fix we will be back!

The trail around the marsh is pretty but the rest of the park is pretty boring and small. I really didn't love being so close to residential areas but the railroad museum being there is really neat! Happy I tried it out, no need to do it a second time though.

As a local Hingham resident, I walk in the park every day that I can; it’s a gem for the greater community, and I highly encourage everybody to get out and check this place out. I’m lucky enough to have this park within walking distance of my condo, and it’s one of the most underutilized parks in the area. There are both trails and paved paths, so it’s great for biking, walking, hiking and lots of other active activities. One thing to be aware of is that sometimes people walk the dogs off leash at this park. Even though there’s a local law against it, people still don’t follow the rules, so if you fear dogs because she’s on the alert for a dog to run up to you randomly.

Italian restaurant
Alma Nove is a chic Italian-Mediterranean restaurant founded by Chef Paul Wahlberg in partnership with his famous brothers, Mark and Donnie. Situated by the Hingham Shipyard, it offers picturesque harbor views and an elegant ambiance. The menu features fresh seafood, pasta, and artisanal pizzas.
I came to eat on the evening of 3/28 and the atmosphere was beautiful, the service (from the hostess stand, to the server, to the server assistants) was awesome, and lastly the food was top notch! My experience started off by walking in and being welcomed by 3 lovely ladies at the front and sat fairly quickly and smoothly. The woman who sat me was very sweet and welcoming. She made me feel like she truly cared and had such a warm smile. My server (Kerri) came by shortly after I was sat and got the ball rolling for me. I came in already having studied the menu online and having a game plan besides which wine would be best with my duck. I let Kerri know off the bat what I was thinking, and she was so helpful with getting the right pairing underway and on my table once the duck was ready to come out. I started with the mussels, and I loved every morsel of that dish. I would drink the sauce on its own, that's how tasty it was. Next was the duck and barley risotto, which I was super happy to see on the menu because that's exactly what I prefer to cook at home. Once the duck was ready Kerri made sure my wine was brought to the table just before the duck made it over. It was a lovely Pinot noir and the duck was perfectly cooked. The mushroom espresso jam went deliciously with the flavor of the Pinot. I also ordered a beet salad to go and that was perfect for my lunch the next day. The chefs know how to pair flavors, and I will absolutely make a trip out there again to bring my momma with me ( we are from Ga) The only thing that aggravated me slightly (which is NOT the fault of the restaurant) was the group of guys who sat at the bar and got very loud. It was odd to have that bar feel with a nice white tablecloth restaurant where people want to enjoy a nice evening. This wasn't for my entire meal time by the way, it was a couple of times throughout the evening. Bottom line Alma's was a lovely evening with delicious food and top notch service and I can't wait to come back!❤️

Great Dinner at Alma Nove in Hingham. Beautiful waterfront restaurant with awesome food. Our appetizer of homemade meatballs on a Crostini reminded me of my Nonna. The steak tenderloin was presented on a garlic mashed potatoes and was cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding. Our first time there and it will not be my last, I’m looking forward to going back again Chuck and Denise.

Second time to Alma Nove for a special occasion of just being in town. I give five stars for the following: ⭐️ The food is incredible. It’s innovative, fulfilling, appetizing, and presented beautifully. ⭐️ The atmosphere including lighting, decor, and noise level was inviting and encouraged one to stay to enjoy the meal. ⭐️ The service is what you would expect. It’s excellent. People are kind and generous. ⭐️ The location is great and love the surrounding area. ⭐️ The experience is enjoyable from start to finish. Really will come back every chance I get. Thank you to Alma Nove for the wonderful opportunity to dine ❤️

I am gluten free and my wife and I loved our meal here! The GF cod cakes and baby arugula salad made a perfect appetizer for us to split. My GF wood grilled swordfish was AMAZING! It was easily the best, most moist and tender swordfish I’ve ever eaten. My wife also loved her non-GF entree of Chicken Tortellaci (also very moist chicken). I highly recommend this restaurant for great seafood and an upscale atmosphere!

Alma Nove is a beautiful restaurant on the waterfront. We went for a birthday dinner. The morning of, we received a call from the restaurant to confirm we were coming in and that it was for a birthday. This was nice of them to confirm; however, there was never any recognition by the staff of the birthday. The food was mediocre. Everything was well cooked, but lacking in flavor and seasoning. It was disappointing to have the nice ambiance, etc., but food was not great and for the price, we would not come back.

I care most about the food itself over service & atmosphere, but my recent experience was poor. The plates looked visually appealing, but were bland and overcooked. - I originally ordered the Veal Milanese which was dry and overcooked. - The Chicken Marsala, this was somehow even worse. The chicken was rubbery and the 'sauce' was a pool of liquid. - The salads & apps were good Unfortunately this leads me to believe that all of this food is reheated from frozen, which for $32 per plate is not acceptable.

Enjoyed sitting out on the patio here! Service was perhaps a little bit slow but the atmosphere and food were great. Kid friendly options are available that are not on the menu. My four year old fellow diner said it was the best pizza he’d ever had! Other recs include the arancini, grilled salmon, rigatoni bolognese, spaghetti and meatballs, lobster tagliatelle, and ceasar salad.

This was a sheer delight! A great location and the food was superb. I had the homemade spaghetti and meatballs the portion was vast could not finish. Wife had the salmon cooked perfect. Trident Galley & Raw Bar is a cozy, traditional eatery that specializes in seafood, chops, and raw bar classics. It offers an array of tasty options accompanied by a wide selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Customers often describe the restaurant as enjoyable and note its diverse menu. While the Tuna Poke and ceviche were deemed satisfactory by some patrons, they felt these dishes lacked a touch of saltiness or lime.
Great little seafood galley and bar. Fresh, local and innovative are the descriptors. Nice indoor and patio space. Casual atmosphere. Lots of cocktail and drink choices. Small plate style for an excellent seafood catch.

My wife has a recent shellfish [shrimp, lobster, crab] allergy, but we still like our seafood... it is amazing how many dishes at every restaurant serve shrimp. For a Sunday night [Father's Day], it was very empty. We felt bad for the employees tonight. Our server was fantastic, and not because there were few customers, we could tell that she took our table allergy Very seriously, especially where cross-conyamination was a risk! Thank you for your concern and efforts!! Our starter oysters were delicious! Yum! The meals were varied and also flavorful and well portioned! The salads were good, but the side Caesar was kind of watery. Today, I happened to speak with someone who ate here Friday night, and he said the "place was hopping with people and energy" - our luck was a very quiet evening, but the food and service will bring us back! As we left the Hingham Shipyard, we were treated to a beautiful sunset!

WOW what a fantastic restaurant! This was our first dinner at Trident Galley in Hingham. Jay the Manager welcomed us and made us feel welcome and comfortable immediately. There's also a relaxed vibe in the dining room. First impression: 5 out of 5! The meal? I had the Portuguese stew that consisted of a plethora of seafood and lots of it! Shrimp, scallops, muscles, clams and more in a delicious tomato broth that was just perfect. My guests ordered the Catch of the Day which was haddock. Once they started eating it, they stopped talking and enthusiastically ate every incredible morsel. Yes, it was THAT delicious ! High 5's for food, ambiance, service, price and presentation! This is definitely going to be one of our favorite restaurants and another winner by Chef/owner Brian Houlihan. Amazing!!!

Our bartender and waitresses kept the drinks and food coming.... I asked my bartender for a "surprise" beverage, seeing that I was indecisive to what spirits my pallet wanted to entertain this evening. Soon, my bartender came back with a Moscow mule - the first one definitely took the edge off, the second one, well.....let's say I felt like I was ready to compete in any salsa 🕺🏾dance competition after taking an hours worth of their newly promoted salsa class. The food and the appetizer were filling, so my friend and I were happy to work off those calories by joining the establishments' very first ever salsa class. We were very excited to be a part of this feature event and hope they will permanently add salsa classes to the mix!

Came here on a Wednesday night at 4pm. We were seated outside. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. We got the baked Stuff Lobster, duck Confit Poutine, and the seared scallops. The presentation on the lobster was not impressive. Look like some opened it up and toss it back on the fries. Lobster tasted fresh but the stuff was odd because of the pickled veggies mixed in it. The seated scallops s only came with 3 pieces and a salad for $16. It was good but still left you hungry . Didn't eat the duck Confit Poutine. My friend got that. Our meal for two was $70 . Definitely, did not feel satisfied with the portions. Service was so good. Probably won't be bad because of price and portion size.

I'm from Texas and have been a fan. Ever since watching the show I had always wanted to come to a Whalbugers. Finally had the chance and let me tell you, it did not disappoint especiallythe fried pickles, best by far. Great service, food and prices. 10/10 wishing I had been able to see one of the brothers bit the manager made up for it with his great attitude/service. First time eating at Wahlburgers. It was all around great! The hamburgers had a great ratio of meat, veggies, and bun. The brioche bun was a nice touch. Bryce our server was very friendly to everyone who walked in the door and sat close to the bar. The fries and tots were cooked and seasoned well.

I visited Wahlburgers Hingham Shipyard Boston for my very first meal after arriving in the U.S., but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. The burger was dry and lacked flavor, and the chicken tenders were tough, clearly fried from frozen. I paid over $60 for a meal I could barely eat. While the service was decent, the food quality was disappointing. It’s unfortunate, as I expected more from such a well-known brand.

The first time I ordered from here the food was good. Today the food was disgusting. The fries were cold. The burger was cold. Burger did not taste like grilled beef. The smell of the onions was so strong I could smell it through the bag like they were old. The bread just fell apart like it was old. I will never order from this place again.

The burgers are delicious. Well stuffed and varied. Very well served and really worth it. The milkshakes are very good too. Only the service is sometimes not so good. The staff seem forgetful and take a while, but they do serve you well! It's a nice place to go with the family.

Sat at the bar. A mountain of leftover food and trash left in front of me. I waited 15 minutes before someone asked me if I wanted to order. 40 minutes later and I'm still waiting for food while people around me start to complain about the wait time. Debris still in front of me (though I pushed it to the side so I could have space) and not even my soda arrived. I tried to ask for my order to go and they were saying it was going to take another 20 minutes. I just decided to leave after that.

The Greenside Grille Restaurant, located at the South Shore Country Club, offers a delightful dining experience with picturesque views of the golf course. The menu features a blend of classic American dishes with an Italian influence, catering to both golfers and non-golfers. The outdoor patio provides a serene setting for enjoying meals. Additionally, the restaurant boasts a stylish decor and courteous staff, making it an ideal venue for events like high school reunions.
I was craving some good French Onion Soup. I had some really bad FOS ~2 weeks ago, and every taste I regretted not being at Greenside Grille. So many people only think about eating here after they play a round of golf at the South Shore Country Club. They even have an awesome patio for summer evenings that can't be beat. We arrived and sat at the bar to catch up on the latest news and talk about Trivia Night, which they have every Tuesday night. Apparently, it was a packed room with competition going down to the last question. The chicken caprese sandy blew me away with the flavors and lemon aioli. My wife really enjoyed her chicken saltimbocca. We shared the truffle fries that came with my sandwich; so good! The bartender talked us into a slice of carrots cake that we added to out take home bag for tomorrow.

Went there for a private event, but besides that, the food was delicious, staff was very attentive and make you feel right at home. And the views are beautiful. I would normally not give 5 stars as I think there is always something to improve but this place and the people here made me forget that.

Love it! Chose this place for Valentine’s Day lunch and extremely happy with my choice! Good cocktails and excellent food. Had great expectations on the flourless chocolate torte but it was just alright. Otherwise a really lovely place and lovely staff as well! Definitely coming back for the beautiful view and definitely recommend !

Love Greenside! The food is great and the service is AWESOME!! The best chicken parm!! We typically go there before my hubby’s bowling league. Love the outdoor space and firepit too.

We ate dinner outside overlooking the golf course, which was very nice. The drinks were tasty and the food was good. My husband's steak tips were a little cold, and the size of the meals were a little on the small side for the price. Overall we had a nice time.

The food is really good. Pastrami sandwich was delicious and the chicken wings were yummy. My favorite thing is the wild berry cobbler for dessert, it's the best. Beautiful setting overlooking the golf course.

I attended a high school reunion here and was impressed with the function room area. The tables in the dining room were near the food stations and dance floor/DJ booth. Before and after the meal, this area was easy to walk around and chat with people without bumping into tables and chairs. The stylish decor added to the ambiance of the evening and made for a very nice time. The Wait Staff was courteous and professional, which added to the enjoyment of this event.

Greenside Grille is my go to place for summer birthdays in my family. Rita is really great! I think the prices are great for the large portions that you get! They have a lot of classic American food and seafood. The waitresses and the manager are all very nice and I have not had a bad encounter with a single one! You can eat outside or inside, both overlooking to golf course!

State park
Hiking area
Stodder's Neck is a fantastic location for dog owners looking to let their pets run free. It offers a secure environment with ample opportunities for dogs to socialize and play with other furry friends. The park features a section of the bay where dogs can swim without any strong currents, ensuring their safety. Additionally, there are two fields and a beach area that allow for plenty of space for dogs to interact and socialize with each other.
Fabulous dog park that's not really a dog park. More like a very pretty walking park with a ton of loose dogs. Fine to drop the leash and let them run. Our pug posse had a ball.... literally :)
Wendy W — Google review
This is a great spot if your dog needs to run. We've had 3 labs over the past 30 years, and each one has loved to come here, play in the water and the MUD, and run up and down the terrain. The evening sunsets can be spectacular! We are always careful if there is thin ice. And be aware of the tide. The park is along the Back River but is tidal with an 8' swing.
Jim M — Google review
Large park on a peninsula. Lots of open space, trails running through the wooded sections and several slopes down to the beach (which is mostly rocks and pebbles.) Signs declare that all dogs should be on-leash, but there were 15 dogs present today, all running free. There is a watter bubbler, doggie mitt bags, and trash for pet waste. Do note that there is no actual fence keeping the dogs in - so if you follow the herd and go off-leash, your dog needs to have good recall.

This is a family favorite... great space for dogs and kids to explore and run in a very safe environment. Plenty of space for all to enjoy

This is a great dog friendly park. Dog walk off leash here so be cautious in case you have a nervous dog like I do, but never had issues.
Caroline T — Google review
It's a wonderful place for the pups to play and swim. Bring water on hot days. Signs say all dogs must be leashed but the official website states dogs are allowed off leash. Every time I go always a bunch of happy pups running around. Haven't witnessed any fights, other then the occasional roughhousing, but that is easily reprimanded if needed. Good food near by as well.

Beautiful park to walk. It can be very quiet at a time. You can be walking alone and then find yourself next to someone else that cane from another path. So many pathways to walk. I also like that the paths are wide. We had the pleasure to hear a little history about WWI and WWII ammunition. There’s a dock with a big collection of the wars.

Hingham Shipyard

Shopping mall
Hingham Shipyard is a versatile destination offering dining, shopping, and entertainment options by the water. It holds historical significance as warships like Destroyer Escort Ships and Landing Ship Tanks were built and launched here for use in World War II. The area features a variety of dining options including pasta, pizza, and seafood. While it has potential, there are still some areas that need development such as connecting the fresh market to other stores and filling vacant storefronts along the waterfront.
Love this mall! Cyclist & ferry friendly. An excellent mixture of shops & restaurants. Plus the cinema is always a good deal.

Nestled just 25 minutes south of Boston, South Shore Country Club is a delightful gem that’s celebrating its centennial this year. This public course, designed by Wayne Stiles in 1922, boasts beautiful rolling terrain and an array of challenging holes that keep golfers on their toes. With its drivable par 4 to kick off your round and greens that feature significant slopes, it offers both excitement and complexity for players of all skill levels.
Playing Fall in New England is always a challenge but they made it much easier. The course is in spectacular condition no leaves in play. A must play for sure.

From car park, the pro shop is located after a small aisle on the right hand side. At the first tee, you will feel “free” over the wide open landscape. Course is a bit hilly, so challenging but still walkable. Scenery of nearly every hole is outstanding amongst the courses in southern Boston area.

Good experience. Course has lots of elevation and makes for a fun challenge. Holes are interesting and overall a great layout. Not the easiest walk since it’s hilly, so would recommend getting a cart. Definitely has an upscale private club feel.

The SSCC is a hidden gem in Hingham! It has so many different offerings, and when the pool project is completed, a year-round pool will be a tremendous extra benefit for young families. The golf course is tremendous! One of the most challenging public courses you'll find. Much cheaper for Hingham residents. The candelpin bowling is always fun, and Much harder than 10 Pin! Adult bowling leagues are where you find the aging group once they move on from basketball and softball leagues. The simulators let you work on your swing year round, and maybe play a few famous courses at the same time! The restaurant has just switched over and Ironwood looks pretty special! Their patio overlooking the 10th tee and 18th green is an extra special spot in perfect weather!

Fantastic tour for families! We went during February break, great indoor activity on a cold day. The Historical Society staff was very helpful over the phone. Our tour guide, Deirdre, was welcoming, patient and extremely knowledgeable with all the questions our elementary-age kids threw at her. She curated the tour to their interests and ages, and we all learned a lot about local and national history. Lots of interesting artifacts and architecture on display. Highly recommend.

The Old Ordinary, a former tavern built in 1686, is now a house museum of the Hingham Historical Society. Donated by Wilmon Brewer in 1920, it was a popular stop for travelers on the main stagecoach road from Boston. The historic home has served as both a private residence and a public house over its 150-year history. Visitors can explore the two floors of this well-preserved building on seasonal tours led by knowledgeable guides or by appointment.
What a fabulous town and regional museum. I learn many new tidbits of Massachusetts history in our 2 hour visit. The docent was so knowledgeable, it was like she lived the history. The 1600's house is fascinating from the roof to all the additions. Seeing actual items from the beginning of our history will give you shivers. A must if in the area. Guess what the object is in the photograph. Hint: it has to do with what scares elephants.

American restaurant
Square Cafe Hingham is a charming bistro known for its French-accented dishes and elegant ambiance. The restaurant offers sidewalk seating, adding to its intimate and inviting atmosphere. It's a local favorite, celebrated for its eclectic menu that seamlessly combines modern American cuisine with international flavors. Housed in a renovated space that preserves the historic essence of Hingham while providing a contemporary dining experience, Square Cafe is the ideal spot for a leisurely breakfast, business lunch, or cozy dinner.
The restaurant has a classic vibe and is located in downtown Hingham with street parking. Reservations are done by the phone and are recommended. The service is great with the staff checking on our table frequently and small details such as replacing our silverware after appetizers before the main dishes. Ordered the sourdough bread with a unique chive oil dip, the bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The poached pear salad was very full with a great vinaigrette and candied walnuts. I am really happy about the salmon. The ginger aioli with the hot honey gives a sweet and strong flavor of the salmon. Overall a great restaurant with amazing service.

Tonight my partner and I went to dinner and had an amazing dinner service. From the warm and inviting greeting at the door from Gus to the impeccable dinner service from the kitchen and Kaio, this restaurant hit the mark 100%. The food was cooked perfectly and the atmosphere was like having dinner with family. I loved seeing how Gus showed genuine interest in his guest and checked in on everyone. Highly recommend!

The food here did not disappoint in the least. Be sure to ask for bread! It was crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, just out of the oven, and accompanied by a delicious dip. I had the Arcadian farm salad with salmon. The sweet corn and tomato flat bread was also yummy. Kids menu available.

We had an exceptionally delightful dinner at the Square Cafe last Friday. The maitre d' greeted us warmly and welcomed us to a wonderful table outside on the patio. He also checked in a few times to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The wait staff was terrific - polite, attentive, very professional. We started with the mussels in a coconut saffron sauce - they were fresh and delicious, especially with fresh bread to dip in that exotic sauce. I had the seat bass, which was perfectly prepared and served over fingerling potatoes and snow peas. Really great. My husband had the melt-in-your-mouth ribeye, with an herb butter sauce, served with risotto and spinach - he loved it. Yummy cocktails, great ambiance, picturesque neighborhood. A rare and perfect dining experience.Thank you Square Cafe!

Very unimpressed with this place. Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with my wife for our Anniversary. Place was not overly busy at all. Easily 8-10 open tables inside. We were greeted and seated, no problem. Water came shortly after. It was another 5 minutes before the bartender acknowledged us and was apparently our waiter as well. We were not seated in the bar area. He was busy making drinks and said he would be right with us. All the time there were 2 hosts, one of which caught my eyes more than a couple times, looking at us. I was hoping he would at least come take a drink order. Another 4-5 minutes went by and the bartender/ waiter came to take our order. He was pleasant and apologized for the wait. Which wasn't totally his fault, the restaurant was probably understaffed. That didn't excuse the poor customer service, in my old school eyes. No paying customer should go to a restaurant or bar and wait 10 minutes before your drink order is even taken. The food did come quick as we did not order an app. It was just mid to me. I had the California turkey club. I could have gotten the same version or better at a much less expensive restaurant. Just a plain white bread sandwich. Not even a traditional triple decker club. It was not tasty enough to have me go back, nor was my wife's lack of seasoning, fried cod sandwich. Drinks were good, but again, nothing to make me want to go back for more.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We started with the sourdough bread service with an amazing dipping oil. For drinks we had spicy mandarin margarita,so good and strong. For appetizer we had the Thai mussels, the best ever, very flavourful. For my main course I had the Thai shrimp salad with very fresh crunchy veggies and very fresh jumbo shrimp. We are looking forward to eating there again. Everything was great 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Truly awful customer service. I asked for a pizza with ricotta and mushrooms. We went back-and-forth over the exact type of pizza. Finally I said “okay, then I’ll do the mushroom pizza but no truffle oil.” She gave me a pizza that absolutely had truffle oil on it. I brought the pizza back and said “you sure this has no truffle oil?” She said “no I made sure.” I said “it smells and tastes like truffle oil.” She insisted it wasn’t truffle oil. I tried to eat another bite or two, thinking, if she was so sure, maybe my mind was playing tricks on me. No, it was truffle awful!!!! I brought it back again and said “okay, it absolutely has oil on it and it tastes like truffle oil. You can SEE the oil on the arugula.” She insisted it was olive oil they had doused the pizza with (which would be an odd thing to do anyway, but no, this wasn’t olive). I said “okay. Put it this way: I don’t like the pizza and I can’t eat it.” She just smiled and said “well I made sure it wasn’t truffle.” I left and threw the pizza out in the trash in front of their store. What kind of establishment doesn’t remedy an issue? I returned the pizza with what two bites taken out? Three? And I came back TWICE because it was so bad, and it’s hard to make pizza taste bad. For customer service alone, don’t go here. They are SO rude. Update: after I left, I had to dig out my benedryl because, sure enough, it was truffle. I called and told them it did give me allergic reaction and that I want a refund. The lady said “I was gonna give you a refund but you ran out!” I have two dislocated knees. There was no running. Also, I had come back in twice. By the second time, good customer service would have said “you know what, if you are concerned, let’s make it again or give you a refund.” In fact, truly good customer service would have double-checked with the kitchen the first time I brought the pizza back. Mistakes happen, and they are an opportunity to wow a customer with how you handle things when you make a mistake. I wouldn’t give a one star review for a mistake. There was zero offer or remote attempt made toward giving me a refund until I called and asked for one. Then the lady tells me to come in a THIRD time to get a refund. When I enter, she just smiled and said “oh you didn’t have to come back in!” (Which she had asked me to do on the phone). “I refunded it to the card you used.” I can think of no other word for this woman, but nasty. If she isn’t the owner, her supervisor should, at the very least, have words with her. Uniquely atrocious service. Check my other reviews. I review A LOT. I don’t often give a place a one star review. If I do, it’s for a good reason.
Kristy J — Google review
Very dissapointed. Food was extremely bland. Everything was lacking flavor. Our wings had a really sour taste. The actual chicken wing itself was cooked fine but the sauce ruined it. Even the bread was lacking flavor. Our server did take it back and off the bill when asked. This place has great potential just wish our food had more flavor and we didn’t have to salt and pepper everything. Server could have been more personable and not taken offense when we were honest with sending the wings back.

Pizza restaurant
Peel Pizza Company has made quite a name for itself, stepping into the shoes of the beloved Upper Crust Pizzeria. While it faced some challenges in building its fan base, Peel offers an impressive array of specialty toppings atop their signature crispy thin crust and chunky tomato sauce. The pizza slices are enormous, making them perfect for sharing or indulging solo!
The Bada Bing pizza with spicy capicola, burrata cheese, and basil was amazing. I would give them more stars if I could!

Cute location. Very busy. Definitely call ahead as it may be 30-50 minutes depending on the night. Pizza is super thin with generous portions and decent prices. I prefer a true NY style pizza, but this was tasty and I’m looking forward to trying other things.
Ami L — Google review
You think a pizza for over 20 bucks would have more than 2 pieces of toppings on each slice. The pizza was fine, It got the job done. It’s Super thin crust, but no toppings at all. Not sure if it was an off night or what? But the lack of toppings basically made it seem like flavored bread. Not great, not awful, just fine
Zachary S — Google review
The pizza slices are MASSIVE, and the cheese and toppings are tasty. The crust was a little darker than I’d like, and I think ordered and paid for a cheese and speciality pizza and got a cheese and pepperoni pizza, but I may have misspoke or maybe pepperoni sounds a lot like specialty when you say it quickly (only .50 more so I didn’t bother going back). If you’re looking for a deal, this is a great one, and it isn’t bad pizza. Def not my fav (I’m from NY and the closest I’ve come to NY pizza is wholefoods pizza or NY Pie in Waltham). Also, if you have issues with stability, be VERY careful entering the cafe. The ground is uneven exactly where your left and right foot would stand when you enter (the left is raised). Due to my stability issues, I found this challenging. I imagine this would be a fall risk for the elderly and me of if I hadn’t healed a little on my dislocated knee and hip). They have an accessible bathroom and they have plenty of seating and parking and handicapped parking right out front. Very friendly and quick service. There are benches all along the road if you want to eat outside too, and plenty of high chairs for kiddos.

After placing an order through grub hub I was contacted stating that the restaurant had given my order to another person. They cancelled my order due to this. When I reached out to the restaurant the woman I spoke with literally LAUGHED and stated that another person with the same name had been given my order (clearly without confirming WHAT was ordered). She then hung up on me after I asked for the restaurant to correct and deliver my order since this was clearly an issue on their behalf. I will never order from them again due to the complete lack of accountability or professionalism on their behalf. I’m disgusted that I was laughed at for requesting a pizza be remade and delivered after they gave my order away to someone else. Thankfully I was fully refunded by grub hub.

This pizza was really good! Nice that you can order pies and slices in case anyone’s tastes are out of sync with the rest of the group. A large pie could feed four hungry people easily. We can recommend the aloha, the tailgate, and the Irish riviera no bacon.

Same issues as others have mentioned here regarding orders on GrubHub. Ordered a pizza at 7:15 which was then cancelled 15 minutes later with no explanation. Called twice and no answer on their business line. Seems like the restaurant needs to do some QA if they are unable to handle partnerships with 3rd party delivery apps. Won’t be returning.

2016: I gotta say best pizza in this area. Try the chicken pesto or the spicy panchetta. Both are amazing! Eggplant one is pretty good too Oct 2023: Updating. They don't seem to offer spicy panchetta any longer. Also got the chicken pesto today and it was definitely different than 7 years ago. I remember it being better. Pizza is still good, but different somehow. Picture is as of now.

New England restaurant
If you're on the lookout for a family-friendly dining experience, look no further than 99 Restaurants. This casual pub chain serves up classic American fare like burgers, wings, and salads in a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for all ages. The Hingham location stands out with its cleanliness and inviting ambiance, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a day of shopping or beach outings.
I’ve got to say, this 99 Restaurant in Hingham is top notched comparing to other 5 star restaurants and standing out from other 99 Restaurant we’ve visited. Very clean, comfortable, well lit and plenty of parking. Excellent service from the start. Greeted at the door and seated in a booth each time we visited. Wife and I visited 2 weeks ago after one shopping at the Shipyard. Looking forward to the pre-meal popcorn. Our waitress, Aimee, was superb. Attentive, friendly, polite, professional and courteous. 5 stars service. Ordered the Prime rib rare. Tasty and cooked to perfection with plenty of Au jus. Wife had the chicken salad. Fresh and tender chicken. Again visited last Wednesday with grandkid who wanted the favorite Mac and cheese as well as take advantage of “kids eat free day after a Red Sox win.” Again service was 5 star excellence by our waitress, Erin T, who was attentive, friendly, polite, professional and courteous. Again food was prepared to perfection this time ordering the ground sirloin special rare and rare it was unlike most places servicing medium. Plenty of mushroom gravy. So good! Absolutely delicious. What’s even better, 5 stars with budget friendly affordable prices. Highly recommend. Will definitely return to this 99 Restaurant very soon for sure.

The food is always consistently good at The 99. We like to sit at the bar and interact with the bartender as well as be entertained by the various conversations. This visit we did the Cheddar Cheeseburger and the Hiney Mustard Salad. Both were delicious!

My first time here and the food and service is excellent!!! My server Aimee C was very nice and pleasant and she took good care of me tonight. I'll definitely be back again soon, Anthony 😇

Was here just last night and got burns on my tongue from how hot the food was. The server didn’t give me any heads up even though she was holding a hot plate? I am very disappointed to say the least. I was going to brush it off but my tongue is still sore today! I will possibly give them another try to see if the food and service improves

This place has actually improved since I went here once 2 years ago. Hate my experience then, but loved tonight experience. Our waitress was attentive and let us know what was best for drinks and dinner. She also didn't hover over us, so really enjoyed the celebration of our family member turning 21. Would be fun to come here again, because even though it was Wednesday place was packed.

It's a hit or miss with good service when dining in. We come here often. Some of the bartenders are nice and make drinks the way they should be. Some are condescending and will fill a glass with ice so you get 3-4 sips out of a $10 drink, and when you order something else they get offended and make the next one so weak it doesn't taste or look the same as a person your dining with who ordered the same thing. Dinging in food is always better then takeout. 2023- Service here has really gone down. Anytime we get take out, something is missing , cooked wrong, or it's skimp on items for the price you pay. Asked for med tips and honey bbq, the tips weren't pink and no bbq sauce. Food is warm on the the colder side. And when we dine in service is subpar and mixed drinks are weak. 2012-Good food. Service not so good Most of staff is unprofessional and has attitudes. Only have come a few times. Each time not so good experience.

Day 4

Off the beaten path
For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Trustees of Reservations. Not quite as popular as World's End, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 7 hours.

Nature preserve
The Trustees of Reservations is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving natural and historical sites in Massachusetts. Located in Hingham on the South Shore, this dog-friendly destination offers scenic views and walking paths with crushed stone surfaces, making it accessible for strollers. Visitors can enjoy picnics by the water and take advantage of the available moorings for boating activities. While regular bathrooms are closed, porta-potties are provided near parking lots.
Beautiful place to take a walk with lovely views of coastal homes and the Boston skyline. Hilly but not steep, with wide open carriage roads and some narrower wooded paths. Multiple options so you can make your walk shorter or longer. Popular with dogs (on leashes) and their humans. Wear shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. We went on a January weekday and encountered few other people. Those we talked with said there would be many more people on a weekend or holiday, and that we had chosen a good day to be there. On a weekend, be there first thing when it opens. Wish it were closer to home, we'd be regulars.

I went to World's End today, 7/25/23. Not only did I have a wonderful hike, but the woman who was doing check-ins at the gate was absolutely wonderful. I am so sorry I didn't get her name because she was great. Very engaging and knowledgeable. I hope that you can find out who it was, and tell her what an impression she left on me. I can't wait to go back.

Really beautiful! We visited on one of the warm days so we also saw a couple of small snakes. Views of the Boston skyline are really good.
Sahil K — Google review
Loved our visit! Very easy to socially distance. Reserved spot in advance for $15. Dogs allowed and the main walking paths are crushed stone so we were able to manage with our stroller. Gorgeous water views on all sides and easy to find shade away from the paths either on the grass or right by the water. Benches all around as well. Regular bathrooms are closed but there are porta potties near the parking lots. No food on site, but you can bring your own. Highly recommend and we'll be back!

Gorgeous and spacious. I was super fortunate to have visited on a sunny day. FYI if you're bringing a dog, the only trash can in the park is near the entrance by the ranger's station.

Hingham Farmers Market

Farmers' market
The Hingham Farmers Market is a vibrant outdoor market open every Saturday from May to November, offering a wide variety of locally sourced produce, meat, seafood, desserts, and more. Families can enjoy the experience while supporting independent farmers. Visitors can also find unique items such as handmade jewelry and artwork made from beach glass. The market's location by the Hingham bathing beach makes it a convenient and picturesque destination for locals and visitors alike.
This is much more than a basic Farmers Market. It is a weekly event featuring artisans and craftsmen, many small businesses, and farmers. Shoppers often arrive a half hour before the 9AM start, and the crowds hold steady 'til the last hour. The range of offerings is wide from coffee at the start, breads, jewelry, hummus varieties, pottery, desserts, seafood, organic meats, cheeses, new condiments, pre-made pestos, healthy drinks and nutrition, handmade blankets and clothing, musical entertainment, local farms, micro-farmers, and other options! It is worth several visits a season as the vendors do change, while others are weekly regulars. In the summer, they set up on Station Street, between downtown and Hingham Harbor. In the winter, they set up indoors at Wompatuck State Park [periodically, so check their website].

I love this place! I'm from Jersey but my daughter lives in this area so when I go to visit her we go visit the Farmers Market. Wonderful variety of fruits and vegetables and the guy that sells mushrooms is mushrooms are great! Last year I bought a piece of artwork made from Beach Glass that I gave to my future daughter-in-law. It was beautiful and she loved it. There is a woman that sells handmade earrings my daughter has bought me earrings from her as a Christmas gift. They are beautiful and this last time we went this summer I purchased a pair for myself. There's also a woman who sells smoked salmon. Her smoked salmon is out of this world, ask her for a sample she'll be more than pleased to let you have one. I could go on and on. The place is very small and the vendors change weekend to weekend but it's a must stop. Oh just before I end I'd like to say you should grab a loaf of the olive Rosemary red from the guy who sells bread, it's great!

The Hingham Historical Society, situated in Holbrook, MA, USA, is a museum dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich history of Hingham. Despite its small size, the museum offers a wealth of information and captivating exhibits. Visitors are welcomed by passionate staff members eager to share the town's history. The society provides group tours of Benjamin Lincoln's home and the old ordinary, with knowledgeable guides who can vividly recount the stories behind these historic homes.
The staff at the Hingham Historical Society are fantastic. They are very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Hingham, but are passionate about the town's history. The staff are considerate of and attentive to the needs of their visitors I highly recommend visiting them!

The Hingham walking tour was a great way to spend an afternoon learning more about the history of our beautiful town. Yes, we live here and took a guided tour! Our group, including family members ages from 12yrs through 77yrs, thoroughly enjoyed our Hingham Historical Society tour! We learned many new facts about Hingham. Our tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour to both locals and out of town tourists! 👍🏻

We visited the Benjamin Lincoln House and the Hingham Historical Society and were met by Executive Director Deirdre Anderson and given a tour of both facilities by Museum Educator Victoria McCallion. What an absolute delight! Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, hospitable, we were so excited to visit and learn about Hingham and the home of the Revolutionary War General Benjamin Lincoln. We can't say enough good things about the Hingham Historical Society and the staff. Thank you!

Had a wonderful group tour of Benjamin Lincoln’s home as well as the old ordinary. Hingham Historical Society was kind enough to pick us up from the Boston Ferry, which was a great part of the adventure! Tour guides Alex and Victoria were knowledgeable and could really tell the story of these homes. Also they have a golf cart to help members of our group with mobility issues. A truly great adventure out of the city. A tour packed with history even if it was miles from the freedom trail. Don’t miss out on this gem.
G. U — Google review
We were visiting Hingham, knowing nothing of the town's history, and decided, at the last minute and on a whim, to take a cart tour (easily booked on their website). Our guide (Hilary) was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable about a wide range of historical topics, from the pre-colonial period to the present. Her general knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to tell the stories in an entertaining and engaging way was remarkable. The cart tour is intimate (limited to 4), so can be very interactive. We saw several historic sites and learned about the history of the town in a way that was both fun and educational. The town is quite beautiful, and this tour is a good way to see a few places in a comfortable and enjoyable way. We had perfect weather, which made it even better. We were also impressed with the Museum/Visitor Center in the spectacular former Derby school. We will be back to see the collection in this beautifully renovated space, and to see their other sites, the Benjamin Lincoln House and the Old Ordinary, which we stopped by on the cart tour. Thanks, HHS!

Loring Hall Cinema, also known as Loring Hall, is a historic movie house located in the heart of Hingham's downtown area. Originally built in 1852 as a Greek Revival meeting hall for social gatherings and lectures, it was transformed into a single-screen cinema in 1936. The building exudes classical charm with modern touches, providing an intimate and nostalgic ambiance for moviegoers.
Love this theater for remaining a traditional movie house without all the glitz and high prices. It's one of the only theaters locally that brings in some unusual movies. Hope it will remain far into the future.

Terri B — Google review
I love this theater, that I have been going to since 1964, so unique and a classic! I also love that they often show films that other theaters don’t.
Donna W — Google review
I love the Loring! Not only is there always a good movie showing 3 times a day, the prices are unbeatable and so is the atmosphere. It's always quiet here and the seating and concession areas are always kept clean. All I can hope is that everything stays that way and that the theatre continues to fulfill its niche here in Hingham for generations to come. Thank you to all of the hard-working staff for making every moviegoing experience here an outstanding one for me and my family and thank you for always putting comfort and quality first. Small theatres like this help to make film accessible to everyone in the community, which is so so important, not just to me but to many others. Not only that, but the types of films that are shown here of more than just entertainment, they are works of art. I know when I come to Loring I am going to get an enriching and engaging form of entertainment in a quiet and comfortable setting. That being said, I can always look forward to my next visit. Thanks again to the staff and to the community for keeping this place running and for sharing my passion for quality entertainment.

We've been going to the Loring Theatre for many years with friends, our kids (now young adults) at all ages, and each other. We love it! In our opinion it has all the amenities of a larger theatre AND the charm and ambience of a neighborhood theatre that some of us remember from our childhoods. Most importantly, the selection of movies is marvelous. I can't wait to see what's playing next...
Kathryn E — Google review
Charming movie theater, that is not to big and quite nostalgic of years gone by. The price is very reasonable and there is parking on the street, and in the back. It is very intimate, you feel you are watching a movie with friends. The theater not only has a unique charm, but the seating is very comfortable, clean, and inviting. A definite place to see a movie with someone special. :)

UPDATE: So sad to lower my review. While not much has changed; Good movies, easy free parking, reasonable prices, older crowd, etc, on a recent trip for an early afternoon bargain matinee i was disappointed. No Popcorn! What’s a movie in a theater without popcorn. I asked the clerk behind the counter about it and he said they ran out last night. Well if you ran out last night how do you not have all morning to rectify the problem. Loring is part of Patriot Cinema chain, so why not get some help from another theater. I’m 70 years old and have been going to the movies for over 60 years. One of my first jobs was working in a theater as an usher( kids ask your grandparents). One of my other jobs was making popcorn for the theater all day Saturday for the week. We never ran out and i’ve never been to see a movie and not be able to buy popcorn. What’s next, going to a Sox game at Fenway and finding out they don’t have any hot dogs for sale? Inexcusable!!! On another note it’s winter so that means it’s cold inside. Hardly ever heat on inside the theater and they need to install a door between theater and lobby. Help talking during the movie is disturbing. Our go to theater to see a movie. Will only go to a “Complex” if we can’t find the movie at the Loring. We have been going here for years. Older crowd which makes it so much more enjoyable for folks over 50.(68&65). For some of the criticism, I found most of it false and unwarranted. I have never had a problem parking. There is unlimited street parking in the area. Unless you can’t walk a little or get there “fashionably late” parking shouldn’t be a problem. There are cup holders for the person who didn’t see any. Seats are very comfortable. They are soft and move back a little. I have numerous back, hip and knee issues and have never been uncomfortable at the Loring. ‘‘This is not an artsy Coolidge Corner or Brattle Square type theater. It shows current movies almost as soon as all the other theaters. Prices are very reasonable with Senior discounts and bargain times. Concession prices are also reasonable and there is never a long line like at the Cinema Complexes. If you are over 50 and you don’t enjoy the experience of the Loring then your only hope is Netflix.

Unitarian Universalist Church

Nestled at 107 Main Street in Hingham, Massachusetts, the Old Ship Church, also known as the Old Ship Meeting House, is a remarkable piece of history. This iconic structure dates back to 1681 and holds the title of being the oldest church still in use for worship in North America. As the last remaining Puritan meetinghouse from the 17th century in the United States, it offers visitors a glimpse into early American religious life.
“the only remaining 17th-century Puritan meeting house in the U.S.” I was lucky to get to a peek inside!!! Did you know that Abraham Lincoln’s ancestors were from Higham, Massachusetts? There are so many Lincolns buried in the cemetery out back! And how cool is it that you can worship in the same seats of those from generations past at 10:30am on Sundays (though the church closes for the summer, it will be open for tours a couple days a week). Please leash dogs! The amazing cemetery had loose dogs running around! This is a special place, not a playground. I also ask, as a medically fragile person who cannot be jumped on by any dog (friendly or not): think about the safety and peace of others when you take your dog in public. If it isn’t your backyard or a dog park: please leash your dog!

Only go if you’re of Caucasian descent. I would absolutely caution anyone against sending a child Of color to this camp or even spending time there. Intense implicit bias. Kicked my six year old son saying a 12 year old was as afraid of him. Not even sure why a 12 and 6 year old were together. No warning no nothing. No other kids of color in the entire camp. Ironic.

I would give 0 stars if I could. What a horrible experience. We are a family with an agricultural background that loves to visit farms and volunteer to help with farm chores. We thought that this story time would be awesome but it was the absolute worst experience ever. The confirmation email had very little info about where to go( there was a much easier way to get there and park on a different parking lot of the farm), what to expect and what to bring. In addition to that the area where the story and barn time was held, was full of animal feces and there were no trash bins and no restrooms. I had to carry dirty wipes after cleaning our shoes in my back pack until we left. I think cleaning feces before you have families with little ones come over, and having trash bins is very basic when you hold events like this. Not to mention the lack of restrooms on the premises. Truly horrible from start to end.

If you're on the hunt for a unique culinary experience, look no further than The Bloomy Rind. This delightful cheese shop may not have seating, but it more than makes up for it with an imaginative array of sandwiches that are simply out of this world! Co-owned by the passionate Mary, who brings her vibrant energy and expertise to every interaction, each sandwich is crafted with care and precision.
I had an amazing sandwich at Bloomy Rind. Initially, I went in to see about buying some cheeses for a charcuterie board at home, but was blown away by their selection of food. I got the truffle fromage, as well as some Italian candies. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was extremely friendly. We were asked several times about the quality of the food, and discussed about the candy at length (which is delicious). I saw previous reviews mentioning no AC, which seemed to be true - but it was only slightly warm in there and it was 80 degrees today! The heat was not offensive. Be prepared to wait 15-20 mins for a hot sandwich. It’s totally worth the wait, and there are so many curated and interesting items that it really doesn’t even matter. Overall, an incredible experience that I will be going back to!

Mary truly works hard to provide the best service and you can see she’s always hustling and greeting customers, maintaining a relationship with them. The vibe of this place is truly remarkable. They have good taste in chocolate, as they offer chocopologie (one of my absolute favs, from CT). They have an incredibly creative collection of eats and sandwiches, honeys, jams, cheeses, wines, and more! They have no AC, and on a 60 degree day, it around 80 in there. I like warm. All winter my home is 73 and cozy. This was not warm. I almost stepped outside to wait for my food because I have a medical condition and extreme heat can make me pass out. It was THAT hot. My favorite chocolate was leaking its contents of caramel, though, surprisingly, not squishy and melted itself (I cannot fathom what it will be like in here come summer. If you are elderly or sensitive to extreme heat, this place is NOT for you). My other concern was that all of the food you see was simply sitting out in that unbearable heat (with the exception of a few meats, nestled in a cooler under the cash register). The pasta, hummus, tapenade, corn, shrimp, and other dishes were simply sitting behind glass on an exposed counter. There is no way that is up to code or remotely safe. I only thought about this as I tried a pepper stuffed with cheese and prosciutto, and spit it out the second it touched my tongue. It tasted truly awful, like it had gone bad. The chickpea-free, carrot hummus was delicious: apparently just tahini, carrots, olive oil, and seasonings. It was truly fantastic. The fig jam was not sweet at all, more like a date paste. I imagine it would be good on some things like a pizza with sweet balsamic vinegar, arugula and ricotta or something, but it wasn’t good plain, that’s for sure. Lastly, the peach, spinach, mozzarella, and bacon panini I ordered wasn’t good. I didn’t realize the spinach would be cooked. Cooked spinach on a sandwich…maybe if it was the right sandwich, but the pungent spinach flavor overpowered the peach and made the bread soggy. This place is adorable, and the food is creative. Everyone was incredibly friendly, and apparently they’ve been there for 14 years, so a fixture in the community. Other than the non-refrigerated items, I think I’d really enjoy exploring this menu, but the temperature is also a serious issue. The place was fully accessible, and there is parking and handicapped parking out front, though the massive table in the middle does mean that a wheeled user may have to wait till the line moves to get past it. I came at 4:10. They close at 5, and start putting up chairs at 4. They did leave two small tables for visitors so much better that most of the traffic is earlier in the day.

Fantastic discovery during a two week stay in the area. Ate here twice. Mortadella, salami and pesto sandwich and this evening, maple chicken with another salad. Oh, and the carrot hummus, to die for! Wonderful and welcoming staff. Don’t hesitate to try it out!

Only in town for two weeks but definitely plan to go back here before leaving! The toasted Brie sandwich without bacon was absolutely delicious especially the peach jam. I also greatly appreciated the genuine friendliness of the staff. For the vibe think classic Italian meat and cheese shop. If I had a complaint it would be that there was too much cheese on the sandwich. But, then again, is that even possible?

Mary and Bailey are phenomenal! Mary will spend as much time needed with you to explore the cheese world (which she is full of knowledge and passionate about) and Bailey's dishes that are made from scratch have a taste of heaven in each bite! Well done chef!

Mary is the co owner and she is operating with excellence. You are served here! An eclectic, electric and excellent specialty sandwich shop. The sandwiches are made to order with care. Each additional ingredient has a distinct purpose in which she will likely explain. She's a savant and a wonderful host. Her energy is palpable and contagious, as the food matched her knowledgeable and passionate personna. My first visit here was an experience. I can't wait to go back! I can't recommend this place enough. GO HERE!

Cannot recommend enough - all of their sandwiches are fantastic and made to order, plus the customer service cannot be beat. I had not been to the shop in many years but recently moved back to the area and Mary still remembered me. Cannot miss!

Italian restaurant
Tosca is an elegant Italian restaurant located in the historic Hingham Harbor, offering a sophisticated dining experience. The upscale eatery features a seasonal menu that highlights regional Italian cuisine with a focus on fresh New England flavors and local, seasonal ingredients. Housed in the 1910 Granary Marketplace building, Tosca provides a refined atmosphere for dinner service only. The restaurant's extensive wine list is thoughtfully curated to complement the rustic Italian flavors showcased in their menu.
We went to celebrate at milestone birthday. The menu had many tempting plates to choose from. Everyone enjoyed the food. Clean, beautiful and chairs were comfortable. Staff were very friendly and made sure the birthday was noted. Thank you!

We had our Family Wedding Dinner at Tosca this weekend in the Wine Room. The service was beyond compare. Kudos to the staff and their attention to detail you were fantastic. The food was great from the first appetizer right down to the last cannoli! I highly recommend if you have a small wedding group to consider Tosca. A+. Shout out to Patrick and Kari. You made our day tremendous!

Very nice Italian restaurant with excellent choices in the menu. It is in a beautiful brick building offering a great atmosphere and vibe. Service was top notch. Very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. Parking is easy just around the block. Certainly a jewel worth repeating.

If you ever wanted a “usual” place, this is it. I have never been disappointed getting the short rib Ravi, and it is large enough to last 2 meals. The bread baskets vary but are great, dessert is delectable, and the Tosca Sangria is 👌

First time at Tosca, reserved easily on open table. My boyfriend and I were going to celebrate my birthday. Reservation was for 7pm and we were sat promptly toward the left of the restaurant and it was LOUD! Difficult to get around all the people milling around the bar back there. Our server was nice and attentive and answered the couple of questions we had about the pasta dishes. We ended up ordering one of their specials, the Caprese salad as an appetizer and were very disappointed. It was like one hunkin half of a tomato in the middle of the plate with a couple of other random wedges and some cherry tomatoes, TONS of grated parm but barely any fresh mozzarella, just a few shreds. Pesto sauce was good and pistachios were a nice touch but overall was not impressed. I got the extruded bucatini, it was good but need some spice or even black pepper to cut the creamy, saltiness off it. Just felt like something was missing? The pasta itself was cooked to perfection and the prosciutto was yummy, just very rich and creamy. My boyfriend got the boar bolognese, which he loved. Both dishes had huge portions. We finished with the campfire (smores) chocolate mousse, that was super yummy. We loved the marshmallow whipped cream and graham crackers. I also ordered a cappuccino which took a while to make but was very delicious. By the time we were finishing up, it looked like they were setting up for live music, right in front of our table like not more than 5 feet! Our biggest turnoff was honestly how loud and obnoxious the guests were at the bar, especially for what we thought was considered an upscale restaurant for 7pm. Don't recommend coming here if you want to have an intimate dinner, hard to hear. Service was good and food was overall ok!

Celebrating our anniversary, ambiance was wonderful, food was spectacular and our server Ethan was the best. Was attentive without being overbearing. Personable, efficient and just a pleasure to be with. We will be back!

First time experience… Hope it doesn’t happen again. The menu and atmosphere look great. We Ordered takeout and they gave me the wrong pizza. Didn’t check the order before I left. I thought they would’ve checked before handing me my order. I ordered 2 pizzas and 2 salads and it was $100. !!! Bib salad should not be offered as a takeout it looked like leftovers in a to-go container. However, food was tasty. It just was a bummer when I got back to the house to find out we had the wrong pizza which was not the choice of everyone.

Bar & grill
Nestled in the heart of the historic city center, Liberty Grille is a beloved local bar that has stood the test of time. With its charming ambiance dating back to the 1600s and 1700s, visitors are greeted by warm wooden accents and low-beamed ceilings that create an inviting atmosphere.
This bar pizza was surprisingly fantastic. Like, exceptionally good. Never heard of this place before stumbling upon it but 10/10 will return!

They serve Bar Pizza at Liberty Grille, which means a thin crust, cooked well, and a little small. Boy, do they do a great job! The South Shore is known for it, and we love the Greek Pizza, but also mix in our concoctions like Pepperoni & Jalapeño or Black Olive & Onion. They are usually backed up in the kitchen a bit, so when you show up "on time," you spend more than a few mins watching some of the regulars bunched together in the super tiny bar downstairs. But they're there to watch the show... Tonight, it was empty and our pizza were stacked for us andc ready to go.

so devastated to not even receive food, a table, or even any acknowledgment from the staff. especially troubling when “seat yourself” was falsely presented, and there was no available table that had enough seats for the 3 people present and my friends young infant. interestingly enough, the upstairs was “closed” for an empty event! wild and very confusing. no one was visibly an employee, and we stood in-front of the table for about 4 minutes before we left out of embarrassment. horrific. edit: seems as though this is the common experience. this lady needs to just quit i guess.

Liberty Grill has excellent bar pizza Great staff and service easy to deal with

Had many meals there, some good, some OK, but my last and final one in 2016 we got the badly burned pizza you see in the photo. No refund, no apology. They did offer to cook another one, but that would have made us late for the movie at the nearby Loring Hall Cinema. So I paid and left. We left the entire uneaten burned pizza on the table. Yuk.

Welcoming, pleasant staff. Relaxed, quiet, smaller sized tavern. Enjoyed a dram.

Waitress (short brown hair) is in the wrong line of work!! Completely forgot to put our order in and didn’t care! After an hour I asked why others were being served before us her answer was, “I don’t keep track of that”. Keep in mind we were the only ones there before others arrived. Didn’t apologize or anything and acted like she didn’t care. Great pie but horrendous service !!
