The Salem Witch Museum, established in 1972, is a must-visit for first-time travelers to Salem. It offers two main presentations: one delves into the 1692 Salem witch trials using life-size mannequins and prerecorded narration, while the other focuses on 'Witches: Evolving Perceptions,' exploring the history of witch-hunting and the evolution of the term 'witch.'
Well-managed museum with friendly staff. Our guide, Mariana, was knowledgeable and answered all our questions patiently. Tickets go online a day before at 10 PM and tend to sell out quickly, so it’s best to book early. We visited in October, so not sure how busy it gets in other months. The whole tour takes about an hour. Overall, it was a good and informative experience.
Archana N — Google review
Honestly disappointed. My family is glad we went for the experience. But truthfully we were really let down. The recorded narration on the presentation contains inaccurate info that a simple Google search would prove to be wrong. Sorry, but getting an entire person’s (Tituba) race, culture, beliefs, and personal history WRONG just to sell the narrative is inexcusable. Very disappointed in that. And the items that were on display in the “museum” were also a let down and had very little/nothing to do with the actual witch trials at all. We saw a much better exhibit at the Peabody Essex Museum, that included copies of documents and letters as well as items owned by the victims. Overall, I would never go and pay the $54 to do this again, and honestly disappointed we spent THAT much for our visit, I fully advise anyone visiting in the future to keep all these things in mind. Because after our visit, we fully understand why they don’t allow filming inside. They definitely don’t want anyone to see how underwhelming it is before going and lose their business. 🥴
Genevieve P — Google review
The first part of the museum was a bit campy and felt somewhat dated. It wasn't terrible and I learned a good bit from it. The second section of the museum was nice and informative. Make sure to get there before your call time because even during the weekday it was very busy. During the month of October they open the tickets 12 hrs before so you have to be strategic to get the slot you want.
Carlos R — Google review
We visited Salem two days before Halloween, so the whole town was super fun and festive, even though the weather wasn’t great. We came across the Salem Witch Museum 1692 and decided to give it a try. It was very busy, with lines to get in, but everything was organized well. You scan a QR code on a sign to buy your tickets, and then line up about 30 minutes before your time slot. Once inside, you enter an auditorium with benches along the wall and small tufted circle seats in the middle. The show begins with the story of the Salem witch trials, told through mannequins positioned around the room, paired with lighting effects and narration. It was dramatized in an interesting way — not quite what I expected, but well done. Afterward, you move into a second exhibit area where a staff member shares more background about witches, the trials, and related cultural and historical facts. The entire experience lasted about 45 minutes. Overall, I think the experience was priced fairly. I wouldn’t have paid much more, but it was worth it to get a better understanding of the history — especially while visiting Salem during Halloween season.
Art R — Google review
I loved the experience but wish it wasn't so structured toward the end. The narrated story was very educational and unique compared to other self guided museums but once you get past that, you get ushered into a smaller room, given a ton of information really fast, and then are expected to head out without being given enough room or space to really observe or read all the displays. I would still recommend going at least once because it's one of those things you just have to do at least once. But I won't go out of my way to go back unless I have a very good reason.
Angelina J — Google review
We swung through the area on a whim...we happened to be going from Maine to Boston and thought our Hocus Pocus loving kids would like to learn about the real Salem Witch Trials. They were super engaged with it and we like the historical information. Note this may be a little scary for younger kids. We did see a dad take his young son (maybe 6) out of the Exhibit. Ours are almost 10 and we had no issues. This is not just a "wander though a museum" type of exhibit. Its done in a storytelling format. This helps move people through. There are two exhibits to see and they do a half and half approach to see the 2nd exhibit. Everyone leaves the main exhibit, half move on to the 2nd exhibit and the other half are stagged in the gift shop. After about 15min they flip. The whole thing took an hour or so. We came in the middle of the week so there wasnt a terribly long wait. We parked in a local garage, which was almost to capacity, so coming early would be a benefit (we arrived around noon). Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
Sam M — Google review
It was fine. I heard some not so great reviews so I just went for the ghosts that allegedly show up in the photos. The ghosts did not show up in mine. It's essentially a retelling of the events of Salem with some staged exhibits or diorama as they are sometimes called, for dramatic affect. Its worth seeing if you have the time and money. But if you're short on one the other or both, you aren't missing anything. Their gift store is however terrific, that I give 5 stars. And Fattys cookies next door are a MUST.
Cherri G — Google review
Good place to visit while in Salem. It just goes with the whole feel of the place. Part of the experience is a bit lagging but in general it was educational and a nice experience. The gift shop has some cool gifts to take with you. Don't plan on finding parking if you drive there in October, it is mayhem.

The Salem Witch Trials Memorial in Salem, Massachusetts, is a solemn site commemorating the 20 victims of the infamous witch trials in 1692. The memorial consists of stacked and inscribed granite stones adjacent to a burial ground. It serves as a reminder of the mass hysteria that led to the execution of innocent citizens accused of witchcraft. The names and dates of each victim are etched on stone memorials located near where many examinations took place.
My family was taking a vacation visiting all the new England states. Of course we had to have Salem on the list of places to check out. We have always wanted to visit this town because of the history of it. The witch trials memorial was cool but also very surreal. Reading about this, and actually seeing the memorials of people who were killed and also having it listed on how they died was an eye-opener. There were a lot of people visiting the memorial and people are leaving little keepsake’s on the benches where the memorials were. The memorials are right next to a cemetery that has to be probably the oldest one I’ve ever seen. Definitely need to check this place out if you’re in town. This is one of the few places you do not need to book reservations for first.

When I was going there I knew it was going to be more of an attraction than coming to see a part of American history. This place is very special and I hope it is honored. As I did wander through the streets My eyes weren't focused on the books as much as the architecture around there I must say it was beautiful. Well I'm really grateful for is that you do see the respect from a lot of people not touching the offerings. I was so excited to go there and I'll be frankly honest with you it lived up to it the whole town everything. What I think would be peaceful is a 5:00 a.m. cup of coffee walk no people no stores just the history the architecture the pride in a build in a fear of injustice.
Anne H — Google review
Its very humbling to have people not forgotten. The memorial is definatly being honored and the names kept alive of those that were mistakenly accused and lost their lives. The fact thousands of people visit and take their time to view each name and some even dropping flowers in their memory really does feel as if they wont ever be forgotten. The graveyard also very full with visitors look & talking about those who are no longer with us and there is just a buzz in the air for those that could have been forgotten being remembered.

Wonderful place to come. It’s a free tour but you’ve got to get your pass online. So much history in one area.
April P — Google review
A beautiful and powerful place of reflection. The Witch Trial Memorial is simple yet incredibly moving — a quiet space that honors the innocent lives lost during the 1692 witch trials. The stone benches engraved with each victim’s name create such a heavy emotional impact, especially when you realize how close it is to the Old Burying Point Cemetery. It’s not flashy or touristy, and that’s what makes it so meaningful. The atmosphere is peaceful and somber, and it really encourages you to pause and reflect on what happened here centuries ago. If you’re visiting Salem, make sure to stop by. It’s a short visit, but one that stays with you long after you leave. A beautiful and respectful tribute — five stars.
Tiffany J — Google review
Probably one of my favorite experiences of this whole trip. It was really sobering to be in the spot of remembrance for these people who were killed because of hysteria and groupthink and intolerance. Brought pennies all the way from Seattle to leave one of each of their markers It was amazing to see others then felt the same way that I did. It was beautiful and moving
Michael S — Google review
Interesting stop along your journey through Salem These are just a few of the the benches dedicated to the people persecuted for being a witch Most were hung and one crushed to death from "spectral evidence" Let me help in case you've never heard of such a thing like I hadn't Google says, Spectral evidence is testimony based on dreams, visions, or apparitions, where a witness claims the spirit or "specter" of an accused person appeared to them and caused harm, even when the accused was physically elsewhere. It was notably accepted during the Salem Witch Trials in the late 17th century, reflecting the Puritan belief that malevolent spirits could project themselves to torment others, but it was later condemned as unreliable and dangerous. What it entails: Apparitions: Accusers reported seeing the specter of a witch, sometimes in human or animal form, that would pinch, bite, or choke them. Dreams and Visions: The evidence often came from victims experiencing visions or dreams where the spirit of the accused person tormented them. Spiritual Projection: The underlying belief was that witches, through a pact with the Devil, could project their spirit to harm others from a distance, while their physical body remained in a different location

This is a memorial of the salem witch trials. You will see the gravestone of those convicted, and hung, of being a witch. There are tickets you need to register for, but are free, just so they can keep track of the visitors.

The Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) is a top-notch museum showcasing regional American and Asian art, as well as historical artifacts. It originated from the East India Marine Society, established by Salem sea captains in the 18th century. The museum boasts an extensive collection of nearly 2 million works of art and cultural pieces, including a life-size wood sculpture of the Hawaiian god Ku and the captain's desk from the Mary Celeste.
This was an absolutely beautiful museum. We could feel ourselves traveling through time with different artwork from different periods. There also felt like there was quite a bit of representation between old and new as well as art from around the world. I definitely loved the art books that you could contribute to as well. It felt like we were a part of the art and really able to experience and learn up close. The museum was very clean and spacious as well. The greeter were very polite and warm and welcoming. They were also very knowledgeable. The little gift shops were also quite pleasant and adorable.

What an awesome experience! We saw the Chinese house unexpectedly which was SUPER cool. We obviously loved the Salem Witch Trial exhibit, which was our original reason to go but we also thoroughly enjoyed the maritime exhibit too.

(Visited on 09/13/2025) A visit to the museum was the first thing I had in mind when we planned our trip to Salem. They showcased actual artifacts from the trials and gave detailed stories and backgrounds to the people affected. I also appreciated the timeline of events post Salem Witch Trials.. Also to note, the Yin Yu Tang house was such a marvel! It transports you to another place and time and gives you an insight of generational living of another culture. Kudos to the museum staff! I recommend to order your tickets online prior to visiting, going as soon as it opens, and possibly dedicating most of your day here. We parked at the Witch City Mall parking garage (~$11/day) and parked on the top floor. More spots available and you get a unique view of Salem.

SO MUCH to see! It says minimum of 2 hours but allow yourself most of the day. We didn't see it all and we were there for over 4 hours. LOTS of history and tons of interactive stuff for little ones, too! You can buy your tickets in advance for any day and they are good for anytime you want to go that day. Start early to see it all.

This museum is beautiful! They have such a wide range of exhibits, and none of them were disappointing. The facilities are very clean, and every floor has very accessible bathrooms and water fountains. I highly recommend making a reservation for the Yin Yu Tang Home tour. It is a stunning! Their museum gift shop has a great variety of items from jewelry to stuffed animals and books. Great for any age!!

What a beautiful experience. We enjoyed every exhibit. We were in awe of the Tin Yu Tang home tour. The architecture was amazing. The other exhibits provided a glimpse into the past and modern art. The staff was so pleasant and there were discounted tickets for students, teachers and seniors.

We visited on a Friday afternoon in mid-June 2025 around 3PM. We didn't have much time in the museum and didn't really get to see it all. But we did get in for FREE with our NARM (North American Reciprocal Museum) membership pass. 2 adults and 3 kids. Parking was rough. We found spot in nearby parking lot but had to drive around multiple times. There is no parking at the museum and we couldn't fit in a garage because our minivan with cargo carrier was too tall. The parking fee was actually reasonably priced unlike the parking spaces in Boston. The security at the door was really nice and directed us to the complementary lockers and coat check area. You get the keys for the lockers from the coat check. We were able to fit our backpacks and everything in there. You can walk around the museum with water bottles. The museum stores are right at the front. There are kind of like 2 different ones divided by a hallway. The more kid stuff is in the front one near the door and the fancier stuff is close tot he inside of the museum and opens into the main atrium area. There is actually a gift shop extension just down the street a block or so which opens later than the giftshop in the museum. We didn't know they were affiliated until we tried to buy something and used our NARM discount. Unfortunately with the time we had we had to run through the majority of the museum. We didn't get to see everything even though we basically ran through everything. My favorite was all the glass stuff in the room with the balcony and also the giant floating light square. My wife liked the Salem witch trial exhibit. The museum has a weird floor layout so pay attention or you might miss something. We did have tickets as well for the Yu Tang House. It was the 5 of us and 1 other person for our time slot which was the last of the day. There was a nice person on the main floor who answered all our questions as we walked around. There was a second staffer upstairs who looked pretty grumpy and he just stared at us the entire time and honestly made us feel a little uncomfortable. We did feel a little rushed as I'm sure they wanted to close it down and be done for the day. We'd be a little more upset if we had paid more to visit. There is a pond in the middle but overall a cool thing to explore. We spent maybe 20 mins total in the house. They also gave you like plug-in headphone/earpieces to listen as well while in the house. Overall a great museum and with what we paid, even better. We would 100% visit again because we had to rush our way through the entire thing. If you're in town and want something to do, I'd put this on top of the list.
David L — Google review
I went late September this year. The museum itself it very nice. There were a lot of exhibits to see. I spent a couple of hours there and didn't get see everything fully. But they need a better system for admitting people into the museum. They had someone standing outside the entrance checking tickets, who gave me a little plastic tab to stick on my shirt. I thought I was done with the entry process, but it turned out there was another person just inside also checking tickets? They asked if I had checked in "over there" and I thought they meant at the main desk inside where you can purchase tickets, and I said no, I came from outside, and showed them the plastic tab. They said to me, "So did you just find that on the ground?" Huh?? Did they not know that there was someone outside the entrance checking tickets and giving them out?? I told them firmly that no, I had shown the person standing outside my ticket and they gave me the tab. But what a thing to assume out loud to someone paying to see the museum... It really tainted my experience.

We had the BEST time! The staff was so friendly and helpful. We both loved our costumes that they picked out! The photographer was fun and creative. The pictures we got are awesome!!

We had so much fun!! Getting to choose our costumes was hard, because they have so many to choose from. The staff was a great help and very friendly. The photographer was great. She took multiple photos of my two daughters and myself together and then of us each alone. The props were fun. It was definetly worth the money spent. We have a lot of photos to choose from that we can print off and put in our Salem photo albums.(cost extra). A must do while visiting Salem!! It's best to book your photo shoot online. We were in Salem one day, during Haunted Happenings and on a Saturday. 10~11~25

My friend and I took a roadtrip this October. I’ve previously visited Salem before but she did not. We decided to book a session for pictures at Witch Pix and it was amazing. From the time you walked in to the time they found the right outfit for your shoot. Start to finish the staff were so kind and awesome. Our photographer was also amazing and decided to try some cool unique poses. I would highly recommend doing this with your group or partner. You will have the best experience!

Wow, awesome experience, it really was something to remember, I did it with my wife and two girls, the photos came out awesome, the costume dressing was awesome they know what there doing. They dress you and position you when taking photos, they have props and tons of outfits. They actually have people that dress you based on what you like and style. We have tons of photos to choose from and download to keep. The location is easy to find and is part of the little mall,

We booked an hour long private session the day after Halloween, and we had a blast doing our pictures. Alyssa did an amazing job making the experience fun and capturing our best sides. The staff who helped us pick out our outfits listened to what we wanted to achieve for our looks, and they delivered. We loved we had a momento to commerate our 9th anniversary! For what we paid it was such a great value for how many photos we got. Normally for this sort of shoot I might get a dozen high res photos, but we ended up with over 100 shots both as a couple and solo. This was a highlight of our trip.

I can't recommend this experience enough. It was so much fun and truly reminded me of the Glamor Shots but with Witch attire. The staff is kind, and helpful in helping you pick out your look. The photographer Toby is very professional and helpful in adjusting posses and capturing just the right looks. If your planning a trip to Salem, getting a Witch Pix is a must.

I'm a little late in leaving a review but I just wanted to say how much fun we had getting professional shots of ourselves for Halloween! I called them up the morning of the 31st and they were able to squeeze us in which was very nice of them. Also, I had my cat with me and I thought it would be fun to take pictures with him. They were so nice and patient with him especially when he was getting really fidgety/distracted. The pictures turned out amazing and I can't wait to frame them! There were photos of my cat where his harness was sticking out from underneath the costume they put on him but they went out of their way to take the time to photoshop it out which was super nice of them! If you're in Salem for Halloween and want to get some fun photos of your fur baby and yourself, I definitely recommend them!
Natasha G — Google review
We had the most wonderful experience at Witch Pix. Our son planned to propose to his girlfriend while we were in Salem and capturing the proposal was well above my skill level. Toby was able to take our idea for the proposal and elevate it beyond anything we could have imagined. It was truly a magical moment for them and without the entire staff there, this would not have been possible. Our gratitude for your efforts goes beyond words.

The Witch Dungeon Museum in Salem offers an immersive experience that takes visitors back to the 1692 Salem Witch Trials. The museum features live reenactments of the trials, complete with period actors using real transcripts from the court cases. Visitors can also tour a replica dungeon, adding to the historical atmosphere.
The show was fantastic, and the tour guide was excellent! She answered all of our questions and I closed a lot of interesting historical perspectives. Also their gift shop was very nice, the staff was helpful and the prices are very reasonable. Would recommend

Worth the visit to see a recreated portion of one the trials. Also a brief visit to a recreated dungeon where accused people were held. We went to the first presentation in the morning which had very few people. The atmosphere in this old building adds the creepy feeling. Had to remove one star as the guid seems to be rushed at the end to move on through the dungeon area. Nut we only had a few people. I would be concerned for there being adaquate time if the presentation had many more people. Otherwise the information was interesting and well done
Guy M — Google review
Very informative & fact based. Actors telling the story of the Salem Witch Trials in 1692 was well done and then seeing a representation of an actual dungeon. It was fun and enjoyable!
Amy M — Google review
The Witches Dungeon Museum was absolutely amazing! The portrayal of Sarah and Abigail was so well done and really brought the history to life. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, making the experience both educational and engaging. I also appreciated that the tour was reasonably priced and not overly long—just the right amount of time to enjoy and absorb everything. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Salem!
Cathy B — Google review
It was just okay. I read really great things which is why we went, but the “acting” was literally just two people for about ten minutes. The guide was really nice but she talked very fast and it was hard to keep up with her stories and who she was talking about (she clearly knows the characters but we don’t so it was hard to follow).
Jennifer H — Google review
Super cool experience! The Witch Dungeon Museum was one of the highlights of our trip. The live reenactment of the trial was so well done — dramatic, immersive, and a little chilling in the best way. It really sets the tone before heading into the guided tour. Our tour guide was fantastic — friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the history. The whole setup is fascinating, especially when you go downstairs to see the dungeon area and all the recreated cells. It gives such a haunting, realistic sense of what those accused of witchcraft went through. It’s a great mix of history and atmosphere, and you walk away actually learning something while also feeling that eerie Salem vibe. Highly recommend checking it out — it’s an unforgettable experience!

It’s ok, good play showing a bit of the history and made dungeons to simulate how everything happened back then. Due the accesible price, would recommend.

2/10/23 As soon as we walked in the door the bartender gave us a weird unpleasant look. No smile and barely could understand her grumpiness. After having one beer and ordering another she forgot and about 15 minutes later came by to ask us if everything was okay and told her she forgot our beer and ask for our check. She got upset and said she wasn't going to serve us anyway because her intuition was that she felt like we were drunk. Excuse me! I don't drink and decided to have a beer with my cheesburger and you want to cut me off because you forget my beer! My date was disgusted on how dirty the place is. If your sitting at the bar the ceiling above is disgusting and the fan too! Covered in dust. Gross. Friday night 8 p.m. and there's six people in here. I could see why dirty place and unfriendly bartender. I don't know how you people stay in business. You need JohnTapper! I left her no tip! First time I ever did that but she was so rude and unhappy. I'll never go back. Cheesburger was good but I hate to check out the kitchen. Get friendly help. (Bartender)

Went in for the first time ever. Was told to pick a seat anywhere. 15 min had passed no one to be found to take a drink order. Now I find out you’re closing, so there was a lack of caring for your last customers. Good riddance

Top notch food from a very friendly heighborhood bar and grill. Don the owner puts out delicious meals in a friendly atmosphere with a fantastic staff. Love the place!! Best burgers around and the prime rib 3 way sandwich is killer!! And if you like onion rings you won't find any better than here. Then wash it all down with the coldest PBR beer on tap anywhere!!

We finally went and tried Onion Town in Danvers tonight. Everything was great. Very Clean & comfortable, our waitress Kelly was Fantastic, friendly, easy to talk to and right on point with everything. There was a great atmosphere and what a bar they have, ot's huge. Our food was so good, fresh and cooked perfectly. Great prices too. Definitely will be coming back, may just have to coordinate a girls group dinner night..

The beer was ice cold and prices were really good. Onion rings were good too. Pizza was pretty good. They only had one waitress working so it was a little slow but we were in no hurry.

Day 2

Northwest side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northwest side side of town. Start the day off with The House of the Seven Gables, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to The Witch House at Salem. All together, your day would be filled with about 8 hours of non-stop fun.

"The House of the Seven Gables" is a restored 1668 home in Salem, Massachusetts that inspired Nathaniel Hawthorne's novel. The house offers tours and features verdant seaside gardens. While Salem has its share of somber architecture, there is more to the city than brooding structures like this historic house. A walk down Chestnut Street reveals lighter yet historically significant homes from the Colonial era.
We visited the House of The Seven Gables for the first time this week and were absolutely blown away!! Our tour guide, Stephen, was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. His delivery of information about the history of the grounds and house was engaging and entertaining!! We absolutely loved the experience. Climbing up the hidden staircase was thrilling, as was just taking in the scenic views from the second floor rooms. The tour was lovely, the front desk, gift shop, and other staff members were accommodating and friendly. We would love to return, perhaps in the autumn or winter, but I can imagine that it is perfect at any time of year.

Never read the book, but looked interesting, my wife had and wanted to go. The tie guide was very knowledgeable in the story, the home, architecture, hawthorne and his lineage and she made the tour very enjoyable. The grounds are beautiful and also very interesting. One great thing i never knew was the effort to help people gain legal citizenship through classes which also help teach English. Really great to know money from my tour goes to this. A wonderful cause.

The House of the Seven Gables is one of Salem’s crown jewels - part museum, part literary landmark, part seaside retreat. It’s always busy, especially during peak Halloween season, so it’s best to reserve tickets in advance if you want to tour the interior. Even if tours are sold out, don’t skip it: the reduced-fare grounds ticket (around $15) is still a great value. It grants access to the scenic property, the gift shop, the restrooms, the Hawthorne birth home, and some of the outlying buildings, plus the stunning waterfront area. Between the historic architecture, the sea breeze, and the view of the harbor, it’s a peaceful escape from downtown’s chaos. The guided tour of the main Gables house is a highlight as it’s informative without being dry, blending stories of the real Turner family with Hawthorne’s inspiration for his classic novel. Walking through the low-ceilinged rooms, antique furnishings, and especially climbing the narrow hidden staircase tucked inside the walls is a thrill for any history or literature lover. The guides do an excellent job of capturing both the historical and literary importance of the site while keeping things engaging for visitors of all ages. The self-guided Hawthorne birth home, meanwhile, is smaller but equally fascinating, displaying authentic period furniture and personal items tied to Hawthorne’s family. The grounds themselves are worth lingering in. Between the gardens, cobblestone paths, and panoramic views of the waterfront, there’s no shortage of photo opportunities or places to simply sit and take in the atmosphere. On warm days, the wind coming off the water makes it a perfect spot to cool down and relax before heading back toward the bustle of Essex Street. The gift shop deserves its own mention too, stocked with locally inspired books, literary souvenirs, and even games that tie into Salem’s history. Whether you’re there for Hawthorne, colonial history, or just the coastal New England charm, the House of the Seven Gables absolutely lives up to its legend.

We went in September and the gardens were in bloom and it was not crowded. Our guide made our experience very enjoyable. The gift shop has item such as tee shirts saying I survived the secret staircase. For seniors admission five dollars less. I am not sure but the proceeds go towards the economy of the town of Salem. There is a lot of walking to be done but there are benches in places. There are great views of the water to.

This was a treat for me being that I read the book. Its a very neat tour and a very cool house and the grounds are SPECTACULAR. It has very little to do with the Salem Witches though. If you like old buildings and historical feeling things, this may be worth it for you. If you skip the house tour your won't be missing anything truly relevant to the trials or Halloween. I do recommend the grounds tour though. Especially if you love a majestic view. The pictures I took do not do it justice. Also, no ghosts were felt or spotted during the tour.

Purchase tickets in advance!! There are a lot of stairs with some being very narrow. Low ceilings as well just FYI. Definitely worth it though. Amazing experience! It was wonderful tour full of information an surprises! Parking is included with your tour ticket. You can park about 20 mins prior to your tour time and stay for 1 hour after your tour ends.

What a neat experience! So many neat things to see and explore. The house sits right on the harbor and makes for some pretty amazing sunset photos! Really neat experience! Would recommend checking it out if you have time!

Cool tour. If you are into early American history, or literature you'll love this tour. This is a house built in the early 1600's and has survived and been restored over the years. A relative of the author, Nathaniel Hawthorne, was a famous American author and visiting this house and listening to his aunt tell him stories of growing up in this house inspired him to write the House of the Seven Gables novel. Has rooms restored to the time period, and original antique furniture and home pieces. The coolest part is a secret stairway that goes behind the fireplace up to the attic. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable.

Salem Maritime National Historic Site, established in 1938, is a 9-acre waterfront park that offers a glimpse into the age of sailing ships. It features historic buildings like the Custom House and three wharves from the Revolutionary War era. The site also includes the Friendship of Salem, a tall ship replica that once sailed around the world for trade. This historic site tells stories of sailors, privateers, and merchants who shaped Salem's maritime history.
Historical & scenic spot! I believe as stated by many (and also on the NPS book) that this National Park was the first In the USA. It is actually very nice and very large. We enjoyed walking around specially as we were visiting in summer. It can get very warm though. A lot to see here including the historical store house 'The Peabody'. Overall a really nice visit!

The Salem Maritime National Historic Site is a national historic park in Salem. It is the oldest National Historic Site in the US. The museum offers the chance to see a wharf, lighthouse, customs house, historic ship, and many other historic buildings from Salem’s time as a busy harbor. Unfortunately the Friendship, a historic ship built in 1797 was not on display at the park. Currently, it is being restored. The lighthouse and wharf were nice to see, but little else was open. Perhaps, due to the time of year there were very few staff around to direct you to what was open. This could be a really interesting park, but without the Friendship it’s not the same.

We visited on a Friday around noon in mid-June 2025. We found parking by the Salem Armory Visitor Center near Witch City Mall. We could not use the parking garages because our minivan with cargo carrier was too tall. We circled the lots maybe 5 times before we saw someone leaving. We walked over to the visitor center first where we got maps and NPS Passport Cancellation Stamps. We also bough t some merch and checked out the few exhibits and took some pictures. Then we headed down to where the majority of the points of interest were near the water. Our first stop was going to be the Waite & Peirce Park Store. They have additional NPS Passport Cancellation stamps and also has a many items not available at the store in the visitor center. So make sure you visit both. Then across the street was the Custom House. This was the only other thing that was open to us on a Friday in Mid-June 2025. We went in and explored the 2 floors worth of rooms. There were a number of rangers here to answer questions as well. There was were many rangers in fact I was curious why some of the other locations weren't open for us to explore. We walked around outside for a bit and decided it was time for a late lunch. Overall it was a nice experience. All the rangers we spoke too at each of the sites were great and since many of the places were closed, we would visit again to try and hit more of the sites. Same goes for Salem in general. We only had enough time in our road trip for half a day here and that was just not enough to see everything we wanted to.

Lived here for 25 years, kind of take it for granted as it is a beautiful spot with lots of history. Easy walk out to the lighthouse. Lots of good food nearby. The month of October is basically Disney here so I suggest coming in the summer or November

I visited during the Halloween 💀🎃 Weekend and explored the area. According to information ℹ️ that I read online, this is the first national historic site in the US. It was established on March 17th, 1938. The National Parks Service oversees the site. Being nighttime and late October, places were closed 🔒 for the evening or the season. The sailing boat ⛵ the Friendship was heat shrink-wrapped for the season. The area was active with people who wanted to get close to Salem Harbor. I definitely want to come back and see 🙈 all of the exhibits at the buildings and learn more about the history of the area!

Pretty cool historic place. Soooo much commerce went through this port at one time. They only have 3 wharfs left from their original 50. So this place was once a massive booming center for commerce. They have a 1000 foot wharf, and 2 smaller one. The larger one had an old lighthouse at the end. Pretty neat walk. You can also see the old railroad tracks they built so they could load goods right onto the train. This was during the age of sail so 1700s. Pretty cool place.

Museums
Step back in time and immerse yourself in the haunting history of the infamous Salem witch trials at the Witch History Museum. This museum is dedicated to bringing to life the real individuals and events of the 1692 witch trials through captivating storytelling, life-sized figures, and detailed set designs. Open from April onwards, visitors can explore 15 historically accurate dioramas that vividly depict this dark period in Salem's past.
The Salem Witch Museum is one of the city’s most recognized landmarks, drawing visitors right on the edge of Salem Common. Opened in 1972, the museum is housed in a former church building whose Gothic-style exterior sets the tone before guests even step inside. Its purpose is to bring to life the infamous Salem witch trials of 1692, an event that forever marked the city’s history. Inside, the museum uses life-sized stage sets, dramatic lighting, and narration to recount how fear, superstition, and injustice led to the trials and executions. It offers both a historical overview and an exploration of how the idea of “the witch” has been viewed in different cultures over the centuries. The experience aims to educate while immersing visitors in the atmosphere of 17th-century Salem. For many, it’s both an introduction to the city’s most notorious past and a place of reflection on themes of justice and intolerance that remain relevant today. The Salem Witch Museum stands as a reminder of how the city’s legacy continues to shape its identity. #salemma #salemwitchmuseum #witchtrials #historicnewengland

This place I would hardly call a "museum" as it doesn't have any real artifacts from the Salem Witch Trials or anything from that time period. It just has wax figures in the basement, which I will address later in this review. The "museum" conducts tours every 1/2 hour, so if you buy a ticket early, you can either wait outside or in the gift shop. Once it is your turn for a tour, everyone is brought into an auditorium and is given a little history lession from the tour guide. Once they are done, they bring everyone down to the basement level, where there are recreated scenes of the witch hysteria using wax figures. I didn't get the name of our tour guide, but she seemed rushed when explaining some of the scenes, where she actually forgot to go over a few. She also looked like she was either bored or annoyed. The whole tour from start to finish, including taking photos and asking questions, can take anywhere between 30-45 minutes. In closing, I have done so many other tours during my stay in Salem that were just as informative as this one, or better, so it is really up to the tourist whether or not they want to add this place to their go-to list.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I'm glad the tickets were only $13/each, because if they were more than that, I'd ask for a refund. The tour starts in a large room with church pews and magnified pictures with captions. That was the best part of the tour - seeing those pictures and reading the information on the trials. Once the tour started, I couldn't wait for it to end. Our tour guide clearly hated his job. He put so little effort into delivering his scripted lines that it was hard to hear at times. However, the rushed delivery of, "Moving on" from him was very clear. You're led down a set of stairs into a dark, and musty basement. They encouraged flash photography, but it was evident from the first scene, that there was nothing of value to photograph. Each scene looks like it was set up centuries ago, and the information presented is easily available online. A few of the scenes had pre-recorded scripts, which was a nice change from the drab, monotone delivery of our guide. Bottom line, this will be a waste of your time and money.

We were able to catch the last showing before they closed the shop down. The prices are reasonable for the show since it’s only 30 minutes. The wax figured that they had were some of the better ones we have seen on the different tours we have done. Our tour guide did a great job.

This was thee most incredible waste of money and my biggest regret in Salem. The tour guide was horrible. He messed up his speech, was monotoned, and seriously acted like he hated his job. When we were done nobody clapped and when we exited everyone was looking at each other like “ was that for real?” Pros: the lady working tickets was friendly, the sets were interesting. All in all very disappointing 😔

Count Orlok's Nightmare Gallery, also known as The Nightmare Gallery, is a must-visit for horror and movie enthusiasts. This museum features over 60 life-sized wax figures of iconic characters from horror and monster films. While it's an intriguing attraction year-round, October brings an extra thrill as the monsters come to life, making it the scariest exhibition in Salem.
This is a fun experience. No photos are allowed inside the museum itself, but the figures and displays are truly worth it. Not too scary, but wouldn't necessarily recommend for very small children (based on the things I was afraid of at that age). It took us about a half hour to 45 minutes with reading signs, etc. One of the better museums in town - would recommend.

Best place to go check out in Salem if you are a movie buff!!! Very well curated and maintained exhibit. Lots of life-size horror icons on display! Photo or video recordings are not allowed while walking the exhibit for reason, though they do let you take photos at the store where they showcase a movie production quality Spike from Gremlins 2. Can't wait to check it out again.

Okay so this was my favorite experience in our trip to Salem. It just felt good. The price of admission was entirely reasonable for the experience that you got and still we able to spend some money in the gift shop. Like I think that places sometimes lose that thought when they start raising the price of their tickets and then you spent so much on the ticket you can't afford to buy something while you're there. But that's not this totally reasonable in price. The gentleman that was setting up out front with the signs and everything is the one that sold us on the experience and we booked the ticket right there they had lots of availability at that time but from what I understand but later in the day we're completely sold out. All of the figurines are really well done and eerily watch you with their eyes in a really creepy way. I love the original universal monsters those were some of my favorites as well as the giant ghostbuster I would give anything to have that slimer in my house as part of my Ghostbusters collection. The only negative that's I had with isn't really much of a negative at all is that you can't take any pictures in the exhibit, but I totally understand why. For those people who don't know count orlok is the old black and white dracula real name, but I made up an alternative story the count orlok was Vlad's brother and is just trying to get by in a modern world by running a wax museum. He's also gone super politically correct so he says things like " I want to suck your blood, with consent" and "look into my eyes... Respectfully" imagine a dracula that needs you to invite them in, but also asks for you to sign a consent form... That's hilarious. Anyway go to count orloks, if you only do entertainment activity-thing in town. This would be my pick.

Count Orlok's Nightmare Gallery was, hands-down, the best gallery in Salem. No pictures or video inside, and there is a reason for that. Unbelievable statues, both modern and classic. The staff are really cool. Definitely, worth a visit. The pictures I took are from the store at the end of the gallery. The store has pretty awesome items to choose from. They even have a VHS shelf to buy old-school tapes of classic movies. I will return.

The Witch House, also known as The Jonathan Corwin House, is a historic home in Salem that offers guided and self-guided tours focusing on 17th-century life and the Salem Witch Trials. As the only remaining structure with strong ties to the witch trials of 1692, this well-preserved house from the 1600s features period furniture and clothing, providing a wealth of knowledge about Salem's history.
It’s a 17th century house now turned museum with a great deal of information about the witch trials and day to day life during that time. Tickets were only $12 so if you like old buildings or would be interested in the actual history behind the area definitely go for it. You buy the tickets in the gift shop at the back of the house

Such an icon to visit! This was the first time I had gone into the little gift shop around back, haven't walked through the museum though. Some neat items for purchase but the real attraction is the house itshelf! So much history and such a beautiful sight!

“The Witch House is famous because it is the only surviving building in Salem with direct ties to the 1692 Witchcraft Trials, as it was the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin. Corwin was a magistrate who presided over many of the pre-trial examinations for the accused, making his home a significant historical landmark and a popular destination for those interested in Salem's history. The house is now a museum open to the public. “ I went during October on a Monday and it was pretty easy to get around and take pictures of. I did not go inside. “Captain Nathaniel Davenport originally owned the land where the Witch House at 310 Essex Street now resides. While Davenport started construction of the house, it was left unfinished when Jonathan Corwin bought it in 1675.”

We went through this. Another pick I am happy to have done. Neat to see what "rich" looked like back then. Lots of history. Lots of reading!! Take your time through it but it's only so big. 20-30 minutes should be enough to read it all and experience it. You can take pictures.

I'm not sure if you should, or could, but tickets in advance because we didn't have to. We walked right in, paid and went straight into the exhibit. It's fascinating that this house still stands. They did say all the items, and furniture, etc were not used by the family. Those items are part of another exhibit at another museum. It's pretty rad to step into a piece of history like that and I highly recommend you visit. It wasn't crowded but the exhibit space is small and I could see it getting crowded.

Loved the history here. Very interesting. You have to wait in line as they only let 10 people in at a time, but I value that so it's not over crowded. Great piece of history!

SO incredibly glad we went! What a fantastic way to be properly introduced to the history of this beautiful city. Be warned, buying tickets is serious business, at least this time of year. Mid-September tickets go on sale the morning of ONLY at 8:00am; I started stalking the website at 7:59am and still had to refresh the page several times to get in. Also, they sell out for the ENTIRE DAY in about 30 minutes, so if this is a must-see for you (and it should be) plan accordingly 🧹

Diners rave about the freshness of the ingredients and the skillful preparation by dedicated chefs. While some dishes may have had minor hiccups, like texture issues with fried clams or slight oversalting, many guests were thrilled with standout offerings such as beautifully cooked sautéed mussels and rich scallops carbonara.

Food was great. Pizza was a standard bar size, hot and tasty. Lots of other Italian style foods looked yummy. One bad thing is bar area is on the small side and it gets really crowded on a Saturday afternoon around 5 530. People crowding around so that they can get your seats, made us very uncomfortable and felt confined, so we boxed up meals and left.

Came in recently for a late lunch, got the ravioli with meatball, was very good, husband got the eggplant parm, I really like this place and I like the atmosphere too, but, one of the servers was obviously at the end of her shift and rushed us terribly, someone should have taken over her table, and not rushed us, we won't be going in again at that time. Very disappointing.

Located in Danvers, the Liberty Tree Mall has been a shopping staple since 1972. While it may not have the same prestige as its neighboring mall, it still offers a variety of well-known retailers like Target, Old Navy, and Nordstrom Rack. The mall provides a mix of familiar brands and local shops catering to diverse shopping needs. With straightforward layout and ample parking, it's convenient for everyday shopping. Although lacking high-end stores, its practicality makes up for it.
Liberty Tree Mall is convenient for essentials with big stores like Target, Kohl’s, Best Buy, and Marshalls. The AMC theater and Sky Zone add good entertainment options. The mall itself feels a bit quiet and dated, but it works well for errands, movies, or a quick meal.

Okay - so it’s not exactly swank. It doesn’t have all the choices The Northshore Mall boasts. BUT - it does have just enough choice to meet your needs. I’m grateful for it because I actually enjoy what it does offer. Marshall’s, Old Navy, BDubs, Panera, AMC Cinema, KOHL’S, Total Wine, Sky Zone, a Food Court, Five Below, etc. And enough room to have a nice walkabout + get some steps.

Not the Liberty Tree Mall from our youth! There’s not much here for me to shop for. I do love Liberty Pizza (thin crunchy crust with pepperoni) and Sea Lion Sushi for excellent poke bowls. Lots of parking.

A decent mall with numerous stores. Not many malls that I’ve seen still existing with as many retail choices. Nice and refreshing to see.

Steak house
American restaurant
Restaurant
Texas Roadhouse is a lively chain steakhouse that offers American cuisine with a Southwestern twist, all within a Texas-themed setting. Despite the busy atmosphere, guests are seated promptly and can enjoy delicious food at reasonable prices. The menu remains consistent, featuring favorites like rib eye steak and their famous rolls with honey butter. The staff is known for being friendly and attentive, providing excellent service to ensure an enjoyable dining experience.
It was my first time at Texas Roadhouse and definitely not my last! My partner and I joined the waitlist with an hour wait (from home there’s an app) then we ran errands while waiting for our table- which is very convenient. Once arrived, we were promptly seated and the place was packed. I mentioned it was my first time there and the host gave me a better table, then the server was lovely. I told him it was my first time again, and this time the manager came out and brought me a sample plate of appetizers which was delicious and now I know what I’m going to get. The food was 10/10 and the atmosphere was perfect. The rolls were amazing and I would definitely eat there again!

Great Steaks at a Fair Price: Texas Roadhouse is known for its hand-cut steaks, and they generally live up to the hype. The meat is flavorful, cooked to order, and generously portioned. Prices are reasonable for the quality you get, especially compared to higher-end steakhouses. Friendly, Lively Atmosphere: The vibe is energetic—think country music, line dancing by staff, and a casual, rustic interior. It’s a great spot for families, groups, or anyone looking for a laid-back meal. Fresh-Baked Bread & Cinnamon Butter: The complimentary rolls and cinnamon butter are standout favorites. They’re fresh, warm, and honestly addictive. Consistent Service: While service can vary slightly by location, most diners find the servers friendly and attentive. The staff generally makes an effort to create a welcoming experience.

This was the first time I’ve eaten at this location and the service was great! The wait was not long and everybody was friendly. I usually go to the Everett location. The Everett location can be tricky to get to. I never knew how close this location was to me! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger medium rare with Bacon and American cheese and it was delicious! The ketchup bottle was full at the table. The French fries and the Shirley Temple were great!

I just had to come on here and say that Sailermoon was one of the best servers I’ve ever experienced in my 30 years on earth. She was accommodating, pleasant and attentive, truly elevating the experience after a ROUGH personal day. On top of that, restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. It was a great date night.

We stopped here while traveling through because Texas is one of our favorites. Standard Texas restaurant. No wait to get seated and they were busy. But our food took a long time to come out and when it did the meat was overcooked. Kababs ordered as medium had a lot of gristle and we're blacked on the outside and grey on the inside. Ribs were overcooked and chewy. They remade the ribs. The broccoli was pale green and undercooked. It just didn't taste good. Really disappointing overall.

If you're looking for a great steakhouse, I highly recommend giving them a try. They have a really extensive menu with lots of different food and drink options to choose from, so there's likely something for everyone. Beyond the variety, I also found the staff to be incredibly friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a very positive dining experience.

From the moment I stepped into this steakhouse, I knew it was going to be an unforgettable dining experience. The warm lighting, elegant yet cozy atmosphere, and attentive staff set the tone right away. What impressed me most was the perfect balance of sophistication and comfort—this is the kind of place where you can celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a night out without feeling rushed. The star of the evening, of course, was the steak. I ordered the ribeye, cooked medium rare, and it was absolute perfection—juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. You could taste the quality of the beef, and the chef’s skill in preparation was undeniable. Each bite had that perfect charred crust on the outside with a melt-in-your-mouth texture inside. My dining companions ordered the filet mignon and the porterhouse, and we couldn’t stop trading bites because each cut was just as exceptional. Beyond the steak, the sides and starters were equally impressive. The truffle mashed potatoes were creamy and indulgent, the roasted Brussels sprouts had a delightful crispness, and the shrimp cocktail was fresh and flavorful. The wine list was extensive, with options to suit every palate, and our server gave spot-on recommendations that paired beautifully with our meals.

Over all my family and I had a horrendous experience at the Danvers location. From my earlier complaint about front of house ignoring customers as they wait to put their names on the waitlist while they take phone calls to put names on the waitlist to a meal disaster. I ordered Fillet Medallions, well done. They arrived bright pink. When I was able to report the problem, the waiter wanted to just take the meat. I explained that everything was cold and I’d like a new meal cooked as ordered. Paul took the meal to the kitchen and they sent him back to me with the cold rice and sauce explaining that they were only re-cooking the meat. This server was so nice and clearly more aware than the kitchen that this was not the correct way to handle the mistake as he kept apologizing. I asked him to take the rice and sauce away. Moments later a manager returned to our table and abruptly stated, “cut it and make sure it’s right”. But this was now 3 medallions of beef and the rest of the meal was missing. In front of my family I couldn’t complain any further as the manager was clearly oblivious. Overall an absolutely horrifying experience for my family and I. My $136.64 would have been more satisfying to throw out the window of my car. I just don’t know how they get away with treating people like this. It was a disaster and nobody there showed the ability to understand the mistakes so it was pointless to cause a scene. The kitchen, management and staff need some customer service training.

The Cabot is a modernized 1920s theater with ornate architecture that hosts live music and movies, offering diverse entertainment for all ages. It has a perfect sound system for its size, although the sound quality may vary depending on the sound engineer. The staff is accommodating, and there's an option to purchase a Cabot Club Membership for additional benefits. With a cozy atmosphere and seating for about 800 people, it provides an intimate experience for enjoying performances.
Nice performance venue though dance space is small and limited to the rear of orchestra/1st level. Sound dynamics are good there though. (Saw start Making Sense Talking Heads tribute band 12/27/24)

This is such a gorgeous theater and there is no such thing as a "bad" seat. It is an intimate venue and especially good if you're seeing someone that enjoys audience interaction. The down side, it's older so it could use more bathrooms. Pee before the show because afterward the lines are looooong.

This is a great small venue to see a show. The seats and legroom were more than adequate. The sound quality was excellent. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance to go out to eat before a show.

My heart was so full experiencing the magic of the famous Cabot Theatre for the very first time. The air buzzed with a gentle joy as we settled in for a screening of the timeless masterpiece, Roman Holiday, so thoughtfully sponsored by SeniorCare and offered free of charge to the elderly residents of Beverly. It was truly heartwarming to witness the radiant smiles on their faces as they were reunited with the luminous Audrey Hepburn and the dashing Gregory Peck. One couldn't help but imagine that for some in the audience, this very film might have been the backdrop to a sweet first date, perhaps even sixty years ago, with the one they would eventually share their lives with. The movie itself was simply enchanting on the grand screen, and the Cabot Theatre, with its exquisite early 20th-century charm, felt like a beautiful step back in time. It would be such a wonderful gift to our Beverly seniors to have similar complimentary screenings of beloved classic American films on a regular basis. Perhaps once a month? What a beautiful way to bring joy and shared memories to our community.

My absolute favorite local venue. We have seen every cover band, local act and numerous iconic bands. It's a north shore gem. The best seats are on the lower level. Full bar and concessions. It's a gorgeous, renovated Theatre from yesteryear. You can imagine watching Vaudeville. I've never had a bad night. It's under renovations (6/25) until the fall when we plan on seeing a Queen cover band, a Led Zeppelin cover, Evil Dead with a live orchestra and more. If you ever have an opportunity to go.... GO! It's the best. Beverly also has literally hundreds of great bars and restaurants to go to as well. It's a very walkable town center with tons of parking.

Have had great evenings at The Cabot. It's one of our "date night" go to. Always manage to find parking centrally located, we go to Beverly early to grab drinks & dinner at Soma. There isn't a bad seat in the theatre, has old school charm, good acoustics, downstairs and upstairs beverage service bar. Our most recent visit was The Machine a Pink Floyd tribute band. Favorite thus far was The Cowboy Junkies!!!!

Get your music tuned LIVE into The Cabot! Sweet service, iconic venue and welcoming staff. Nice. I keep coming back for the fine entertainment.---- Note: Balcony seating is fine. But, the leg room is limited and we would prefer an Orchestra section seat for a 3 hour show. Ok, I have a 36" inseam.... The sound and acoustics are perfect. We will return.

Ropes Mansion and Garden is an 18th-century Georgian Colonial mansion that now serves as a house museum. The mansion, famously known as Allisons house from the movie Hocus Pocus, is recognized as one of New Englands most significant historic houses. Visitors can explore the bewitching garden at the back of the house, which is open to the public and free to visit.
I've visited the Ropes mansion many times, summer, winter, fall and its just beautiful! I've never toured the inside but its great you can walk the backyard grounds for free and enjoy the beauty of it! This is the first time I've gone when the flowers were bloomed in the backyard and it was gorgeous!

Beautifully preserved 1700’s mansion on Essex Street in Salem. Close to the Witch House. Garden is free to explore and absolutely stunning. We added $5 to Peabody Essex Museum entry fee for mansion tour. Timed entry. It’s beautiful inside with a lot of history and memorabilia from the Ropes family. Helpful staff to answer questions. Four stars is due to not enough time to explore. Only 20 minutes to explore the house and its numerous rooms and countless keepsakes (after 5 minute intro). Oh, & it’s Allison’s house in Hocus Pocus. Definitely worth the visit.

Nestled on a quiet residential street in Salem, Proctor's Ledge Memorial serves as a poignant reminder of the tragic events that unfolded during the infamous Salem Witch Trials. This site marks the actual location where 19 innocent individuals lost their lives to wrongful accusations of witchcraft through hanging. For many years, it was thought that these executions took place at Gallows Hill; however, extensive research and historical analysis have confirmed Proctor's Ledge as the true site since 2016.
The only historically accurate place! It got my eyes with tears. It's so sad it's not with some signs how to get there, my sisters thought we were on the wrong way. This was amazing and painful experience at the same time but I was honoured to be there.
Katarina M — Google review
Tangible link to the Salem Witch Trials My daughter (13) and I visited the site on July 1, 2025. We were alone and had a nice peaceful reflection at the location. This is the actual location where the executions took place, confirmed by ground-penetrating radar in 2016. Thus this location and memorial offer a tangible link to the Salem Witch Trials, allowing a better understanding of this dark chapter in history and the consequences of mass hysteria. By remembering the events at Proctor's Ledge, the memorial serves as a reminder of the dangers of prejudice, unfounded accusations, and the importance of tolerance and due process. Please take time to visit and reflect on these events.

Historically accurate location of the hangings of the innocent in Salem for this memorial. Well kept, and clean. The energy was definitely a little sad/dense, but I could also feel a lot of healing and loving energy has been sent there too. Not necessarily a must see, but if you have time to spare and want to see it, it's an easy walk.

Actual location of the Salem Witch hangings. About 10 min walk out of downtown in a quiet neighborhood. Tastefully done memorial
Steve O — Google review
Fun place to stop by and see the approximate place the hangings took place in 1692. There was a fire after the witch trials so the actual tree is not there from what we were told. The area that the tree was at is most likely where the apartment building is.
Isaac R — Google review
Rating it 5 stars because they did a good job with the memorial, looks nice, and it's clean. You should know that it's not in the best neighborhood, though. Do not go there after dark. There are signs that say this. There's no place to park, really. There's an abandoned walgreens next door that I parked at illegally. There are signs that say it's private property. I wish there was a plaquard there with some more information on it. Its free.
Jacob W — Google review
Proctor's Ledge is a profoundly quiet memorial to thirteen men and women who were accused of witchcraft and hanged in Salem, Massachusetts, in the year 1692. This particular episode of accusations, hysteria, and trials is the subject of many books and papers, and the proposed causes range from religious superstitions and spoiled grain to bored and spiteful teenage girls, as well as resentful individuals manipulating public sentiment to benefit from local property laws. None of that mattered to the thirteen who died on this spot, falsely accused of witchcraft. It is worthwhile to take a long moment to sit and reflect on the complex early history of 17th-century Salem and its people.

Salem Willows Park, established in 1858, holds a special place in the hearts of locals and tourists alike. This historic park offers a range of attractions including a carousel, arcade games, food vendors, and a beautiful beach. The park's rich history is evident through its former amenities such as Restaurant Row and various rides like the merry-go-round and miniature train.
It's winter, all the facilities are closed, so are the businesses. All that remains are the memories of summer nights with friends now gone. The Willows in winter still provides walking trails and gorgeous views of Salem waterfront. The fishing pier is beautifully restored and open to walk or fish. The famous Willow trees look like ghosts in the winter. There is some construction going on with a section of the park fenced off. Parking is free in the winter. Salem Willows a hidden winter gem.

Buffalo Wild Wings is a popular dining destination that specializes in serving up an array of mouthwatering wings, crispy tenders, and juicy burgers. With a diverse selection of sauces that range from sweet to fiery hot, there's something for every palate. This beloved chain has made its mark across numerous cities in the United States, including major hubs like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston.
Have not been here in more than 5 years, and this time was nothing like that last time. The food was pretty good and I did not feel terrible afterwards. In the past, I would feel absolutely terrible. The prices on beer and food cannot be beat. I had 3 tall beers, chicken tenders, and we split apps. All under $45/person. The inside was nicely renovated since last time and our waitress was good and did not disappear on us. I would absolutely go back for other sporting events. The only suggestion would be to clean tables off quicker so we don’t have to look at it for hours while sitting there. There were more than 3 tables at a time with dishes and trash from the last guests. Overall great experience!

I believe In second, third, and even fourth chances sue me 😭. I also work nearby and whenever I am not able to bring a lunch from home I order something. Every time I order from here I get a burger. Usually with modifications. I add guacamole or bacon, substituting the fries for the wedges, stuff like that. Every single time without fail they manage to get my order wrong. The bacon you pay extra for? Not in the sandwich. The cheese? Missing. The guacamole? Gone. The only thing that actually comes done right is the wedge fries. Not to mention if you want to order a side. Their cheese curds are actually pretty nice when done right. But when you pay for a large order and all they do is put a small orders worth of food in a large container and still charge you as if it was a large side you tend to think twice before ordering. I tried to order once again today. The girl at the host spot was so freakin sweet and I felt so bad coming to her with a complain but from the look on her face it was pretty obvious that she’s been encountering several customers with complaints about their orders. Not only that but Ive heard a lot of people have stomach problems after eating their food. I thought it was just me because I don’t usually eat out! But now it all makes sense. After today I’m not sure I’ll give them another chance. I’ve just never had a good experience with their food. When I asked for my order to be redone today they kinda just threw it in the box I feel so bad. I hope they can work things out tho.

Not someone who runs around leaving negative reviews unless they’re really deserved—and in this case, Danvers Buffalo Wild Wings is a no-brainer. Because there aren’t many late-night options, I went back after a terrible visit the week before (waited over an hour for a to-go order along with multiple other people waiting, zero offer from staff/management to make it right; see lobby photo with no hostess). I even emailed BWW corporate and got no response. Fast forward a week: I place an order at 11:17 PM. The app says they’re open till 12 AM and lets me proceed with my order with no warning that the kitchen might be closed or closing. Then the confirmation says pickup is 11:00 AM the next day—obviously not what I wanted (see order confirmation). I call immediately to cancel. Person on the phone asks for my card details (expiration and CVV), says they’ll tell the manager and it’ll be canceled. Next day—nothing. I call again, retell the story, get asked the same card info, told the same “manager will handle it.” Two more days—still no refund. I call a third time, same script: tell the story, give the expiration/CVV/last four, “we’ll give it to the manager.” Each time I’m also told the kitchen closes at 11:30 PM, which raises eyebrows - not fulfilling a paid for order 13 minutes before kitchen closes and 43 minutes before the restaurant closes if the app took it? Two bad experiences back-to-back, no accountability, no follow-through. Hard pass. Will be going through credit card to get refund.

Got seated. Waited 23 minutes. No one came over. Place had only a few patrons in it. One waitress chatting it up with an older gentleman the entire time. Had to get her attention and was told “my server” was in the bathroom with a family emergency. Other couple were waiting longer than us with no one to wait on them. Left without being able to dine for my son’s birthday.

First and last time. Worst experience ever. Order is ready to be picked up and no one to help in the front. One person and she was with another customer for 10 Minutes making jokes. The food looks like left over

Went in for an bite, spent 45 min waiting to be sitter, 3 more people waiting in the lobby, two servers in the back drinking and chit chatting having a blast laughing, no one comes by to even acknowledge we are there. Someone came to the front desk and looked at us and didn’t even smile not a single word not an acknowledgement nothing, bar had a few people in and all tables were empty. Customer service goes a long way, we would have waited even more if we were at least acknowledged. BWW Danvers will not have my business.
Ines M — Google review
I usually order my food on-line, then pick up the order myself. The website isn't user friendly. There is no where to add notes. When we order a 15 piece of wings I wanted to 10 one flavor and 5 a different flavor. They split the flavor in half and I for 14 wings. Several times I also selected veggies to go with the order, 2 out of 3 times recently they didn't include and I had to ask. The Host are always friendly and helpful. The times I have picked up food it tends to be quiet. One of my favorite items on the menu is the Chicken Nachos 🔥

Supino's Italian Restaurant, a long-standing, family-owned establishment, presents a menu brimming with traditional Italian favorites alongside live-music nights and weekly specials on their delectable wings. Recently revisited after an absence of over two decades, this charming eatery proved to be a delightful surprise. The amiable bartenders Kim and Jackie offered invaluable assistance and recommendations for dinner selections that left us thoroughly satisfied. The portions provided were impressively generous, guaranteeing ample leftovers for the following day.
With a party of 17, everything was perfect. We originally requested a 6pm seating but our event ended sooner than we thought so wanted to go in sooner. It was no problem at all. They had our requested appetizers on the table when we arrived. They were patient as we all trickled in. The food was excellent! The service was impeccable! My only complaint was the automatic 20% tip added. I understand why, but I usually tip more. But the service was so good I still added a little more, which I normally don't do. Thank you for making my daughter's graduation dinner so special.

My friend and I arrived after 7:30. The restaurant had a very eclectic menu. The Italian/American Pub Fare is the best way to describe this restaurant. Does not look or feel Italian. The pizza though is excellent. A white pizza was ordered. Very thick crust, but properly baked. It would not be up Portnoy's Alley. My friend had a Cobb salad. It was chocked full. I saw a spear of asparagus! I had the jack tots. They were OK (7 out of 10). The tots were not crisp and clearly the toppings just thrown on and not well spread out. Oh! The bread rolls brought out with dipping oil was super (9.5/10). The rolls were fresh and perfectly chewy. I gave atmosphere kind of a lower score. The Keno and TVs on the wall is the basis. Personal preference as I feel it takes from the dining experience. I get it as a revenue stream...but... Anyways the food is the reason to go to this place. The server was great and funny. Food came out pretty well. The ice tea here was good too. The bill with 20% tip came to 64.42. The bill had the tip suggestions on the bottom of the receipt.

I just wanted to give a big thank you to Supino’s in Danvers for catering my retirement celebration last weekend. The food was outstanding, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed it. Like with any big event, there were a couple of small hiccups behind the scenes — but what really stood out was how Ron Supino went above and beyond to make everything right. He told me it was in appreciation of my service as we celebrated my Marine Corps retirement, but I have a feeling he treats all of his customers with the same level of care. We’ll definitely be using Supino’s again. Great food, amazing service, and a team that truly cares about their customers. Highly recommend!

4 of us went for some lunch & drinks last Saturday. The service was slow and our waitress wasn't friendly, acting as though ordering from her was an inconvenience. Beers sat finished on the table for a while before she came by for a refill. Coffee came out warm, not hot. Soup came out warm, not hot. Sliders came out warm, not hot. The pizza was doughy & floppy.

Private lunch after our Aunt’s memorial, a repeat of another lovely meal last year for her loving husband. Staff was very aware of our circumstances, served our drinks promptly as we, family and friends, reconnected from all over the country. The food was excellent however the staff was wonderful. Thank you.

This place can be very loud, but the food is constantly good. My favorite is the buffalo chicken pizza, ask for extra bleu cheese. They do serve Guinness, not the best pour. Lots of TVs and Keno.

We were in the area and decided to give Supino's a try. We liked its warm atmosphere. We shared a baked seafood casserole and a small mushroom pizza, followed by a slice of tiramisu. The food was delicious, service was friendly and prompt, and our experience there was very enjoyable.

This place is lively, busy, family owned business. Italian food, big bar lots of TV on the wall. Food was good but I found prices medium high. But atmosphere was worth it. I enjoyed myself. Punkin Martin's are to die for. Every year this place make food for the under privilege of the community for Thanksgiving and drive around passing the meals out. Amazing see what you can do to support them.

I Pazzi Italian Steakhouse is a delightful culinary gem that promises an unforgettable dining experience. Nestled in a charming location, this restaurant offers a menu filled with delicious Italian dishes that are sure to satisfy your cravings. While the portion sizes may be modest, they are perfectly adequate for a fulfilling meal—especially if you indulge in some of their delectable bread beforehand. The drink selection is impressive, featuring an array of wines and cocktails; the espresso martinis come highly recommended!
Decided to try this restaurant yesterday. First of all Frai (pronounced Fry) was an excellent server. Explained the menu, even made me a nice mocktail using chat gbt lol my wife and I were impressed. The food!!! Next level. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner special!

So I’m alllll about reviews when traveling- and I have to let my fellows from the Midwest know. I give this a 3/5 intentionally. We came here craving steak tonight. My husband said his pasta was cold(at this point we were starving and didn’t care much) Dirty dishes were left on our table- and my husband’s empty Pepsi was left for over 30 minutes without being refilled. If your looking for a good restaurant( and your from the Midwest) Do not go here. You can get better service at home- for the same price. Keep in mind when going to this restaurant- the food is a 4. The service a 2. It’s expensive for what you experience- and this is a warning to my own… go to a different steak house. (Wait until you get home)

Exceptional food, service and Atmosphere. Great fine dinning experience. Chef’s couple sharing their stories of culinary passion with hard work. Bartender was amazing as well!!!

Service was very slow waited a good 35 min before our server came to table. They ran out of Chicken Parm. We then waited about another 40 minutes before our meals came to the table. Our server was not very attentive. An expensive evening $$$$ of lousy service and marginal at best food. 👎🏻

This is an excellent restaurant. the food was fresh and well prepared, and Brian took very good care of us. When in town I'll be back.

Very delicious Italian food. The portions aren’t very big but they’re def adequately sized as a meal, you will be full if you dive in on some bread etc before hand. Lots of wine and cocktails to choose from, the espresso martinis were delicious. We got the meatballs as an appetizer and I will say they weren’t that good but we may have gotten a bad batch. The entrees were delicious so I will not take away any stars for that !

This restaurant was such a lovely surprise!! I had no idea what to expect, I chose it for brunch on my son’s graduation day that morning purely based on location and availability. Tucked away by the water, Portside Diner is a charming gem that often flies under the radar, even for locals. This delightful spot offers a serene atmosphere where you can savor mouthwatering traditional diner dishes. From freshly baked muffins to perfectly executed breakfast classics like scrambled eggs and chicken & waffles, every bite is a treat. The friendly staff makes you feel right at home, as if you're part of their family of regulars.
Cute place, delicious food, everybody seemed happy there and great service. Definitely recommend the pancakes and the eggs Benedict.

Visited Portside Diner first with my family and loved it so much that I brought my husband the next day! The food is genuinely delicious — we tried the Spanish omelette, Boston cream French toast, hot chocolate, and coffee. Everything was spot on. The coffee, in particular, was so fresh and had the perfect flavor. There is plenty of parking. Outside and Inside seating area, with good enough booth and counter seating. The diner itself looks just like something out of a movie — classic, cozy, and full of charm. For someone visiting from Dubai, it felt like stepping into a scene from an American film. It was a beautiful.

Oh, what a wonderful experience! Traditional diner fare, and well executed. Freshly baked muffins - we had corn and cranberry ' were top drawer. We had scrambled eggs, toast & legitimate home fries and chicken & waffles. Everything fresh. Everything delectable. Staff attitude had us feeling like we were long-time regulars! Great prices too, and really decent coffee. Just go there, and see for yourselves! We're going back SOON!

Water & Amusement Parks
Nestled in Danvers, the Water Park of New England is a sprawling 65,000-square-foot indoor oasis that promises endless fun for families. Adjacent to the DoubleTree Boston North Shore Hotel, this vibrant water park boasts an array of thrilling attractions including exhilarating waterslides like Shark Slam and Gator Gush. For those seeking relaxation, the Coconut Grove Lazy River offers a serene float through lush surroundings.
Definitely worth the trip and especially if you have more than one kiddo. The kids can go off and play and mom and dad can enjoy the hot tub! A must return its worth the price and drive!

This is my 2nd year coming here. Last year we did a one-day waterpark pass (family of 5) and this year we did a 2 day waterpark pass. Both years I learned that getting the morning admission is the best!!! Come late afternoon it gets crazy with people!! People who are so rude and will steal your chairs even with your belongings on them!!! Do not recommend coming or even staying till close because of the amount of people!! And the ignorant people who paid $20 less to get in! The food was good!! We got a large pizza and chicken fingers with no complaints. The bar drinks were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the cherry mixed drink. The pool at the hotel is great!! Also has a gym, sauna, and hot tub for adults. The staff and room service was excellent! Like most places, the cleaning staff doesn't speak English which is fine. Staff came to our room to understand what we were asking for. Came back to a clean room with beds made which is what we wanted. I also love that the twin beds are around the corner from the king size bed so parents and kiddos have a little space. Would definitely come again but with the new costs Great Wolf Lodge is probably the same price and bigger. Think we spent close to $2000 or more from a Friday to Monday, which included the hotel, 2 days at the park, and food for 5

If you have kids and enjoy the water this is the place to take your kids I’d say age from 3yrs-14yrs old. My kid is 9 yrs old she loved this inside water park it was a great deal paid 50 buck per person, not to bad from 11am -7 pm food was a 3.8/5 prices are always crazy no matter where you go I at the burger and fries with a drink for 16 buck which think again not to bad. The tube ride they have there I say 3.6/5 not to bad wish there were more adult ride but this is a kids water park which does change my rating to a 4/5. If you go during the week you’ll have the pool all for your self weekend it gets a little busy my daughter loved it as I did and will definitely come back again a recommend it to other people.

Its a small indoor and pricy ($30-60 depending on time and method) and, $10-15 to rent a locker, $3 for a towel ( you can bring yours). The nice thing is indoor, but it is small. The floors are not smooth just rough concrete both on land and in the water, you can easy scratch yourself on the concrete in the water or good luck if you fall on the land, so be careful, honestly this could be dangerous environment for anyone. Not a well maintained or staffed place, the central medium sized slide has no staff, so people can easily ram into each other at the bottom if not watching and you can get some speed in the slide. Not gonna return. Codes as Hilton double tree purchase and interestingly restaurant charge when you buy ticket at the door. If you know you know.
Simon Z — Google review
Great place to take your kids. Went for my Godsons birthday. It wasn't crowded when we went. They do have lockers for rent in and out side of the park area. The hot tub is a wonderful concept. Goes from one hot tube on the inside to 3 more connected hot tubs on the outside. No one under 15 is allowed in the hot tub. The only thing is that there were alot of hornets by the splash pad and outside hot tub gate. My Godson ended up getting stung. They do have a first aid office where they were very nice and professional. The place didn't have that overwhelming chlorine smell, but the water did burn my eyes. The lazy river is relaxing but needs more tubes. Many were deflated and a long line of people were waiting for a good tube. The splash pad was cute. I think the grown-ups had more fun on it though. They do have a bar to get a few drinks. You can not drink in the park area. You have to drink in the bar area. It was set up with many tables and chairs. The bartender was nice. The pool was the only place that was crowded. The food and drinks a overpriced but that is to be expected. The kids had a blast. Next time we will stay overnight at the hotel, so we don't have to drive an hour and a half back home after a long day at the park.

2 out of the 3 times I’ve been here all of the slides have been closed and it was not fun. There are fun supporting attractions like the small slides, the water structure, and the monkey bars, but there’s not a ton to do. The slides are fun, and there’s 4 of them. This review would be 4 stars if the slides were open more. The service is pretty slow too. Overall, this is a very mediocre water park. go to great wolf lodge, hurricane harbor, or breezy instead. Theyare in state and much better.
Aidan G — Google review
Waterpark is not too big yet, not too small. It's just perfect for a day out. Plenty for all to do. However, I do say it's more for the 13-year-old and under bunch. They do have a hot tub for moms, dad's, grandparents, and sitters. Food was definitely over priced good pizza, though. However, I did give it four stars because of the Arcade not having any a/c or a fan, at least. There were 3 fans in the water park not being used. Someone should move it to the Arcade, being that during our most recent heatwave, employees had to endure that heat. We could not take the heat in there after about 20 minutes cutting our visit to the Arcade short. Overall staff phenomenal, knowledge, friendly and courteous. Will be returning, hopefully It is breathable at the Arcade.
Luz M — Google review
I only found this place because I was staying at the hotel. My kids had a blast. It was a little crowded but overall we had a great time and would definitely go back. You can't bring your own snacks in but you can eat them out in the nice lobby area. There's a bar there and also concession foods for purchase.

Nature & Parks
Endicott Park is a sprawling 165-acre recreational area in Danvers, offering a picturesque landscape with woodlands, meadows, orchards, and preserved historic farm buildings. Visitors can explore walking trails and gravel roads that lead to a pond and marshes. The park is home to various farm animals such as horses, sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, and a cow. Additionally, there's a nature center hosting educational programs for both kids and adults.
Has been a great place to bring the family or just walk around by yourself to clear your mind. The playground is newer with more safety features. The animals are taken care of and healthy looking. Small little trails around the park make you feel more in touch with the outdoors.

What a beautiful park!!! It's the perfect park for everyone! If you are into yoga, bring your mat. Picnic? Perfect for picnics, for families or couples. There's a farm with so many cute animals., the kids love them. There's an actual playground for kids and plenty seats for parents to seat and watch the kids play.

Such a beautiful public space during this time of year. You could smell the lilacs in the air, all the flowers are blooming & there are tons of grassy areas where you can let your kids run around, walk your dog or go for a nice walk and unwind. We visited today to take pictures before the Everett Senior Prom. The photos came out beautifully & there were so many private areas throughout the park, allowing for a lot of different groups of kids to take pictures without holding eachother up. As I drove out I noticed there is also a great playground area that is fenced in. This would be a fantastic place to take younger kids for a few hours, they could have a picnic lunch on the grass, in the shade & the kids could go and play at the park after.

This is a lovely park hidden in Danvers! It has quite a lot from a pond, to animals, to a garden, to a playground. My youngest loved seeing the horses, goats, chickens, ducks, goats, and pigs. We were only there for a short time, but i will make sure to come back when I'm in the area Parking is free on the weekdays but costs $5 for non-residents on the weekends. I think it's worth the price because there's a lot packed in on the grounds, and you could spend the whole day exploring. Bring a picnic lunch and you'll be all set.
Monique — Google review
Excellent place friendly staff $2 for danvers residents and $4 for non residents no change given so that $20 I paid to park was a good donation. I would consider it worth the extra I paid to park because I would have donated to buy a bale of hay with the same amount. My kids loved all the animals and the playground

We LOVE Connor’s and we have been going there since the day before my daughter was born (she just turned 21 this past Monday). Their CSA is worth EVERY PENNY!! We get the 1/2 share for our family of four and it is incredibly helpful!! One of my favorite things about the CSA is when we get to pick fresh flowers. So far, we’ve gotten to pick sunflowers a few times this month. Other flowers are growing and we will get to pick them soon!!

This is an amazing place to bring the kids all ages. I was surprised how much stuff there was to do. All different type of rides, games, food, apple picking, peach picking, animal petting and feeding, and so much more. Even stuff for the adults to do. It is $25 a person but honestly $25 for an entire day of stuff isn't bad. My kids were so tired when we left and we came late and only they're for 4 hours and only did half the stuff there.

My bf and I went today for the first time, we arrived around 3pm and we didn’t know that the food vendor or most of the activities were in the morning, the web doesn’t say much and I called the place like 4 times and no answers. The place smell really bad, i understand that there’s animals in there but the smell was really strong, we saw on the web that the train ride was at 3:30 but it was really at 4:30 and we had to way 1hr. The craziest thing was went we went to the market and we were hungry because all the vendors were close there was an Asian lady working there and 2 Hispanics, we were waiting to order but the Asian worker was talking in the back, after she came out she said the kitchens just closed so we went get donuts instead and the Hispanic lady noticed we speak Spanish so she was talking to us and we asked her what time everything closes bc it was our first time and we were hungry and she said the kitchen should be open so we told her what the other last told us and she immediately went to the back to ask why she said that to us, after around 5 minutes the Asian lady came back to the front and said “we can actually made one order real quick” absolutely insane. She looked so sick to be working there I don’t understand that kind of people, after all the drama we told her we didn’t want anything anymore and they just lost money. The place is big but it looked really sad and poor, if you ask me if you should go I’ll say dont waste your time, there’s no apples to pick all the apples are in the floor with worms absolutely disgusting, you only go to see the apples in the floor and the corn maze all dry.
Cheuris — Google review
We had a great time here and our kids absolutely loved it. We were able to go on a weekday, which was great because there were minimal crowds. I assume the farm is very crowded on weekends. The kids loved going from station to station. There is quite a bit to do here, and it's a massive place. They loved the playground, the jump zone, the corn maze, and the various sports. The train was also fun. The kids didn't want to leave! Food was tasty, and the hot cider donuts were terrific. We also bought some apple cider to go. Parking was free and customer service was friendly. The weekday price also made it a solid value. We were very happy we made the trek to get here.
Shalin P — Google review
The haunted fields experience is excellent! It's worth the money because of how detailed and intricate it is. We did upgrade the the VIP because on the Saturday we went the line was over an hour long. There are a lot of middle and high school people, and also some younger kids. They have burgers, fries, and chicken tenders, plus a well stocked array of harvest goods like apple cider, cider donuts, candied apples, pumpkins, etc, as well as specialty grocery things. For people who are less experienced at haunted activities, I recommend ear plugs. The audio aspect is still present, but muted, and more manageable. If you have allergies to mold or dust, take an antihistamine before going as there are parts that are damp and can activate allergies. It's fun, it's scary, I look forward to going again!

My husband and I ate here for the first time recently and we will be back! Server was attentive and ambiance was good. Everything we ordered - antipasto, buffalo tenders, cheese pizza - was excellent. Salad was fresh, tenders had a great flavor and not too spicy, and the pizza was crisp on the bottom. Recommend for a casual dinner!

Great place for pizza, wings, really anything from a quick lunch on a Wednesday to a Friday night game day. The staff is wonderful and greet you by name. Everything about the place feels like home. Beers on tap and mixed drinks available, I have never had a bad experience (except that one time they were improving the kitchen and I couldn't order from them haha) Honestly it's a ritual to order a large cheese pizza and buffalo wings from them every Friday. 466 has it going on! 11.5/10

Great food and fast service! High energy and everyone was having a great time! It was on the loud side when we got there around 7:30 on a Saturday night but much quieter by 8:15. Stuffed peppers, Calamari, egg plant pizza, the sliders and the Ruben sandwich all deliceous and came right out. Our server Angela was fabulous! She went above and beyond to be sure everything was perfect!

Very good food! Not the best place to go if you’re looking to catch up with someone. Very hard to hear in the restaurant. Ordered the ribs and roast beef deli dip which was to die for. Service was slow and the waitress was not that friendly. Ordered sliders and fries for my toddler. They had a large grease pocket in the middle, but other than that it was really well!

Food is excellent! You will not be disappointed with anything on the menu. The staff is excellent as well! I get there once or twice a year since I live out of state. Only thing keeping me from giving it five-stars is the noise level in the place. They did install some noise suppression but it's not near enough.

This place is a great! I wish we had a location back in Texas. I had the Mediterranean Shrimp with pasta and it was the best pasta dish I have ever had. The artichokes, the olives the sun dried tomatoes came together and made the perfect combination. My husband had the Pasta Four66 and he was also very pleased at how good this dish tasted. The staff was also very friendly. Thank you!

everything was good, the bolognese was excellent, the tuna was what you see on the plate and I shared half a portion with my son, the pizza was fantastic, the ice cream smelled of Italy, thanks to Davide for the service

The most amazing meal and dining experience I’ve ever had! The Chef came out and we put away our menus and he brought out a symphony of a culinary experience! From the mozzarella salad to the fresh gutted white fish and lemon sauce with capers topped with homemade cannolis and cappuccinos.

We have been going here since it opened. Moved to Maine five years ago so the visits are less frequent. Delighted to see that everything is as great as we remember.

Linguine with red sauce was very good. Chicken Parm was very good. Service was excellent.

The hostess was able to accommodate me and my wife without reservations. Our server was good but definetly very busy, food was delicious. Thank you again

Italian restaurant
Magia Restaurant & Bar is a true treasure for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine. Nestled on Route 1 in Danvers, this establishment offers an inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements its exceptional food. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by friendly and attentive staff who ensure your dining experience is nothing short of delightful. The menu boasts a variety of dishes bursting with flavor, including classic pasta options and unique creations that cater to all tastes, even offering gluten-free alternatives.
We held an event with 80 folks. We were late to get started and they were fine with the delay. The food was warm and tasty according to those in attendance. Sidney, Chris, and Carla were great hosts. We would recommend it for groups wanting a place to gather.

I had a chicken dish in pasta with a brandy reduction. Pasta was outstanding. Chicken was overcooked and tough/leathery. Shrimp Madeira was barely edible as the alcohol was not burned off…not even close. But the bar was outstanding. Great live entertainment. I’d go back for drinks and apps …and friendly top notch service but not dinner.

Came here to treat my friend and will be coming back. The food was good, and they do NOT skimp out on portions! Had a pleasant experience overall!

I’ve been a loyal customer here for a long time, but after what I witnessed Friday night, I will never return. The owner was screaming at a hostess in front of a full bar — it was abusive, humiliating, and beyond unprofessional. I’ve had many interactions with this hostess and she has always been wonderful: friendly, polite, and great at her job. To see her berated like that was disgusting. No decent business should treat their employees this way, and no customer should be subjected to watching it happen. Shameful behavior.

Well appointed restaraunt on rte.1 Danvers.Exceptional food, great portions, and friendly staff. Best Italian food on the North Shore.Anything with their meatballs is to die for.Wonderful and sleek bar.Their deserts are all home made. All flavor gelatos, taramasu and conoles. Well worth the visit!!!

The Giacomo's squash ravioli was excellent. I felt the portion to price ratio wasn't balanced well. The owner Phil was very accomadating and the waitress took good care of us.

The food is better than the north end. Absolutely fantastic. They offer a gluten-free pasta and many gluten-free dishes. I was very impressed. Probably one of the best kitchen in the north shore.I forgot to take pictures of the appetizers. Hey very highly recommend this place. You are not going to be disappointed.

Was able to go for an early dinner and sat at the bar. Staff was super attentive to our questions and services was spot on. We started with drinks - Raspberry Cosmo and a Manhattan - people know me from our other reviews, making a good drink correctly and at good size is paramount with a great dining experience and the Magia staff has this down - made as we requested. For appetizer we had the Calamari which we done perfect, great dipping sauce and a good portion. Main dish was veal-salt-n-boca. It was done perfect and this is a good size dish, and the best part, this food came out hot, not warm hot. We will make it back here for sure.

Chinese restaurant
If you're on the hunt for a delightful Asian dining experience, look no further than Iron Chef. This inviting restaurant boasts a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The culinary offerings are truly impressive, especially the Mapu Tofu, which features an exquisite sauce reminiscent of authentic flavors from Japan—perfectly balanced in spice and consistency. The sushi is another highlight; while it may not claim the title of best ever, it's undeniably fresh and beautifully presented.
The portions are great! The Hot and sour soup is so flavorful and the perfect level of spice. Great fresh tuna and such I rice. Service is professional and friendly

Really enjoyed this Asian food location! Very comfortable and inviting restaurant. The food was next level for the following: The Mapu Tofu, the sauce was the best I've had since being in Japan and few years ago. It was the perfect blend of spice and had just the right consistency, not too liquid but not too think. It was perfect. Next, the sushi was very fresh and we'll presented. Perhaps not the greatest of all time, but it held its own very well and was not disappointing at all. The crab rangoons were very nice (they have duck sauce in a syrup dispenser!) and the spicy edamame was very good. Would love to see more people come here and enjoy it like we did!

Food is great! However, we order takeout and all the food is served hot in plastic which is concerning to our health (microplastics). It is also served hot in styrofoam which melts into the food (beware of the gyoza, it’s not safe to eat).

Most definitely got food poisoning from sushi here on Monday, 8/4/25. Ordered takeout and sushi arrived warm, with hard chunks of unripe avocado in one of the rolls. Super sick the following day and when we tried to call and speak with a manager, was told they stepped out and would be in touch but never received a callback and can't seem to get anyone on the phone that can actually address my concerns and issue a refund. Stay away.

I had the hot and sour soup it was excellent and very fast delivery to the table I also ordered a 16 piece chef sushi sampler that was also excellent and pretty quick. I had more than enough to eat for the price and the amount of sushi they got me. I would highly recommend this place.

We stopped in because we were next door at the tattoo shop. We ordered the iron chef special, edamane, chicken with vegetables and lo mein. Reasonably priced, tasty food and good portions. Only complaint were the wings, they were over cooked and dry.
Master G — Google review
We live nearby and have ordered from Iron Chef for years. The last few times we ordered delivery it has taken 1 hr - 1hr15 min for delivery. When placing the order the delivery time is 35 minutes. If they’re going to take twice the amount of time for delivery because they are delivering all orders at once, they should at least give us a heads up or change their delivery time.

Small not a lot of atmosphere, but good drinks and good food! Their take out business was bustling. Friendly staff.
