What a beautiful area. Enjoyed our time here at the lighthouse and the surrounding area. Lots of park benches, picnic tables and places to admire the area. We didn’t go up the stairs as we arrived after hours.

Great views of Yarmouth Harbour from this iconic, historic lighthouse. It is truly an historic landmark and worth a visit. There are warnings posted about staying off the rocks, especially when the sea is rough. Here, as at Peggy's Cove, people have been swept off the rocks. Still, it was an amazing experience and I will be returning.

A unique lighthouse with a short walking trail nearby. Great views and definitely worth a stop. It was fairly busy in mid-October, and the lighthouse museum was closed.

Cape Forchu Lighthouse A hidden gem in Yarmouth! The area is well-maintained, with great signage and fascinating historical information. It’s perfect for a short scenic walk and photography. Don’t miss the whale exhibit—“Meet Foggy the Fin Whale”—a unique and educational touch! After Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse, this is my second favorite. One of the top attractions in Yarmouth—highly recommended!

What an amazing experience. The Yarmouth coast line is just beautiful. The staff at the Lighthouse was just as Amazing. I recommend anyone who decides to stop in, take the climb to the top. There is also a museum and little snack area, as well as a gift shop, all right there at the Lighthouse. On a good day, get out and walk the shore. They have the skeleton of a 🐋, and if you remember, make yourself a wooden sign with where you are from, with distance. Add it to the sign post along the shoreline. Was raining today, so didn't get to do all of it, plus short on time. Next time, will make sure to experience all that it has to offer. Thank you to the staff.......

Beautiful spot that rivals Peggy's Cove, especially during a beautiful clear sunset. Great parking, wonderful views, and in the summertime, they have accessible valets to take to the end of the trail.

Beautiful area with a unique apple shaped light house. It's up a little hill, but they have a shuttle that can take you up if you're need it. It's extra to go up in the light house.

Great spot. Exactly what we were looking for. A nice brewery to relax in after a walk around the town taking in all that Yarmouth has to offer on nice sunny day!

Always make a stop here on my annual Yarmouth visit! Incredibly fair prices and amazing beer! Got the chips and dip this time, it was so good & amazing portion for the price. Highly recommend!!

Friendly and welcoming staff, good selection of beers that would fit most tastes. We did a couple tastings and while the beer doesn’t necessarily fit the traditional labels, they are very good and offer a complexity not found with most breweries. Live music was a fun plus and my husband and I felt completely at ease and comfortable.

Tucked away on a side street when we visited, but understand that the brewery was moving to a larger space on Main Street. Enjoyed the beer as all the taps served a solid quality brew.

Nice spot. Staff seem to be friendly. Had a flight. First time I’ve experienced this but nearly all the beers tasted like they had smoked malt. I suspect there is a water quality issue? I’m certified BJCP and this was very uncharacteristic. Even the cream ale was undrinkable. Will return to give it another try. Music was great!

Stopped by expecting a great choice of locally crafted beers, instead out of 15 beverages listed 5 were not available. No lagers available. Either they had a great run on lagers or poor reaction time to brew more. Disappointed! But the staff were friendly.

I always have a great time at Heritage Brewing company. They have lovingly crafted brews a lively atmosphere and friendly service. There is usually some kind of entertainment there as well. Fantastic place to go in Yarmouth.

Nice little restaurant in Yarmouth. The ramen was a bit different from what I’ve had in the past, but it was tasty. Owners are friendly. Just a warning though. They have some random books that you can read (some on history) and one of them was definitely inappropriate for children. (There were historical images of extremely violent acts). Not sure if the owner removed that book or not after being brought to their attention.

Amazing place, the service is amazing, I love the Ramen they make. There is also their Boba tea which is on point. And the atmosphere is great. Couches are roughed up leather but they are the comfiest I've ever sat on.

Great sushi and very accommodating staff who prepared a sesame free meal to accommodate an allergy. Looking forward to returning.

The service is phenomenal, they always make you feel welcomed like you're coming home to a family dinner! I haven't explored their menu much but the Ramen is fantastic, simple, but extremely accessible to the general public! Cannot recommend them more!

Should have gotten this photo when the cup was full, however the bubble tea was so good I completely forgot to snap the pic in time! What wonderful tea, service and cafe. I will definitely be going back and would absolutely recommend it to anybody who is a fan of bubble tea!

The coffee is ok, but there is much better coffee in Yarmouth in the immediate vicinity. The snacks here are recommended. The store is nicely decorated.

Coffee is fine but their wraps have really not held up to the task. The chicken curry wrap was plain rice not even spiced with a few bits of chicken. The roasted pepper hummus had NO pepper but only large chunks of red onion not even diced. Hummus was only on one small part of the wrap. This is not the quality we are used to; we were told the chef is new. But training is a must as the food is a bust.

On our visit to Yarmouth, we stayed at the downtown area and Sip was at a walking so we tried their Hazelnut Latte and Caramel Macchiato, both were amazing. The next day we wanted tea and to our surprise they had a huge collection of loose tea. We tried their earl grey and Blueberry tea bothwere great. Highly recommend Sip Cafe.

Love love love this place. Been here for the past 5 days straight and can’t wait to come again. 🤩 They have a great selection of flavour shots (my fav is salted caramel & cookie dough). 🍮🍪 The staff are super friendly and fast! I’m from Vancouver & was surprised when they remembered my order on the second day. 🥰 Everything is also reasonably priced :) Needless to say, I’m kind of obsessed and love this place!

Coffee is good as are some of their snacks and desserts. I also had a smoked salmon breakfast wrap which was absolutely terrible. The service isn't the best, always feel that I am burdening staff with my order, could just be a hipster barista thing.

Didn't enjoy the hotel coffee, so I walked a short distance and got myself Sip's americano. Delicious! Also try the apple pie. It's not often that I ask for a breakfast sausage panini and a slice of pie. No regrets. It's a pretty chill atmosphere with lots of seating. Interior is basically wood. Like having a Vancouver cafe in Yarmouth.

The selection of teas available at Sip Cafe is incredible. The menu was extensive and reasonably priced. There was a nice ambiance to the place where patrons can hang out, grab a bite to eat, or work on their laptops.

We were visiting Yarmouth and took an afternoon to see the Mastodon. But wow -- so many other cool things to see! Kids twelve and under are free; adults are $12. It was definitely worth the visit.

I've been to this museum a few times, and there was always a friendly volunteer to greet you when you go in, however this time(July 14th) a young lady with dyed green colour in her hair was at the front area. She didn't look up didn't acknowledge us in any way(2 teenage guys were also there volunteering and didn't acknowledge us either). I've worked in museums before and your always supposed to smile, welcome the tourists to the museum talk a tiny bit about the building tell them if they have any questions to let you know and ask them to sign the guest book. The director of the museum needs to have a talk with the young volunteers and inform them how to properly interact with people, no excuse to be rude, people who work in a museum should have a passion for history not look like they could care less, McDonald's and Tim Hortons is always hiring if you need something to do!

This is a great nautical museum right in the heart of Yarmouth. Many, many exhibits. Plan on spending at least a few hours to get the full benefit

Friendly staff. Museum has some pretty great content for all ages and only costed $3 per person. Nice way to spent 30-40 minutes, especially if your from out of town.

What a lovely museum dedicated to firefighting in NS. It's a self-guided tour but the staff were super friendly and told us to ask if we had any questions. Some very interesting olf fire engines and equipment on display, and some fascinating archives of previous local major events the fire service attended.

We were here first thing in the morning and so got a lot of personal attention from Gary. His history and knowledge of the museum is awesome. He made our visit a real learning experience. The exhibit is outstanding, and the museum houses a nice selection of pumps, fire engines and memorabilia. There is a very interesting room toward the back left on the first floor that speaks to the fire alarm warning boxes seen throughout a town/city. We paid $5 per person entrance fee, reduced for 65 and older, as well as kids. It was money well spent to see this wonderful museum. Kids are allowed to sit on one of the trucks to explore and pose for pictures, so this is an excellent place for kids. I highly recommend with the caveat that Gary will make your visit much more interesting than a run through the museum without him.

The museum offers a large, rare collection of firefighting memorabilia. You can see nearly every type of fire engine ever used in Nova Scotia, as well as patches and badges from fire services from around the world.

Wow what can I say about this large museum, but fantastic. They have so many artifacts that are well persevered and kept to their natural state as if they were brand new. Small fee (Five Canadian) with what they have should be chartered more (shhhhhh). Staff are super friendly and courteous and helpful.

A wonderful trip back in time. We have all seen these in the old movies, now here is a chance to see them in person and 'imagine'. Yes, imagine how they ever put out any large fires with these tiny pieces of apparatus. Thanks to the ingenuity of men and women over the years, things have evolved. Thanks to those who have preserved this piece of history for us.

If I could have caught my sons reaction when we walked in, the moment he went "Fire" it would have been but a glimpse of the excitement he felt crossing the threshold. Filed to the brim with old, restored fire engines, equipment, brotherhood. It gives a glimpse into the history of Yarmouth itself through its turmoil, and loss. It's truely a think of beauty to behold

Pretty great museum. Tons of old vehicles and artifacts. Only thing is you can't touch anything. I was hoping to be able to climb into one of the vehicles to see what they look like. Very cheap entry as well. It was $8 for two of us.

We stopped here on our Nova Scotia road-trip. Great coffee, great lattes, non-dairy alternatives, and the most delicious fresh baked biscuit breakfast sandwich! The atmosphere is very cozy and cute. A must stop if you’re going through Yarmouth! Highly recommend.

A lovely coffee shop in downtown Yarmouth that has a calming, friendly atmosphere created by the excellent staff and decor. The drink menu has both delicious coffee house standards along with original creations. They also have a selection of amazingly tasty food! This is hands down my go to spot for lunch, writing, or catching up with friends. I recommend this place to anyone that loves good coffee.

Loved this little shop. The staff were fantastic. Fresh baked breakfast sandwiches and great coffee. Only one suggestion... to use real old cheddar instead of processed cheese would've your breakfast sandwiches unparalleled!

I got 2 medium pizzas and garlic bread, the garlic bread had garlic powder and some kind of unknown cheese with undercooked dough. The pizzas were just as bad, undercooked and I have no idea what kind of sauce they used, supposed to be tomato sauce but tasted like bbq, although the toppings were a little overcooked.

Worst service ever!!! Went way before the time they close and was told (shouted) by an employee working in the back that they were closed. As i was walking out another employee comes to take the order and i asked confused if they were closed? He then asked the guy in the back again and they didn’t end up taking my order. I do not myself go to places 2 minutes before closing so i did not appreciate the fact that they didn’t serve us when there was still time left. And if they were close why were the doors still open with a red sign that said OPEN!! Google said open too ! Extremely bad customer service!

Decent pizza. But the are very inconsistent. Multiple times now they have cancelled orders for no reason without notice. And multiple times have they accepted a order and just never delivered it because they decided they didn't want to. Word of advice. Pay ahead so they can't just decide they don't wanna make your food and not tell you. So tired of their inconsistent service.

I do like their pizzas and donair egg rolls. Service is great and it's clean. The only issue( not really a complaint) I have. Is the moldy smell I get when I walk into the business. Many people have complained about the order. It has nothing to do with the owner what so ever. The building is very OLD. But I just wish they'd find a way to get rid of the smell of the muskiness. It over powers the smell of the food. OTHER THEN THAT.....Food is great and so is the service!!!😊

Slightly tired looking from the outside but nice, clean and stylish inside. Large comfortable rooms with the best and comfiest mattresses we've slept on for some time.. Good little gym and large pool with sauna was much appreciated. Polite front desk staff.

We expected more of this room for the price! It did have a nice view from the 6th floor and was very quiet. But, the bed was too soft, the lamp shade had holes in it but the worst was the bathroom, zero counter space , hardly enough for one, let alone two people. The toilet was way too low, the bathroom is just not big enough. Parking is practically non existent - we had to park across the street. Probably would not go back!

All has been said in previous review. Nice, comfortable room and beds. One think that requires staff attention. Ever slept above the noise exhaust of a kitchen fan? There is no fun in that. Give it a try one day yourself Management. And we were relocated to 5th floor (512) at arrival.

It’s time to renovate and update this room. Double bed mattress was okay as single and was comfortable. Furnishings have seen better days. Arm chair needs cleaning or replacement. Hallway smells funky. It is close to the ferry.

Our room was fine and enjoyed the pool, unfortunately the service in the restaurant was very slow, the waitress was very friendly but the wait for our food was long and we chose this hotel for the early breakfast 6:30 am before we left for the ferry. At 7am we were told the wait staff was on their way but we could not wait . Need more cooks and wait staff .

Sophia at the front desk was so lovely, creating a welcoming vibe. I appreciate her professionalism and care. The picture below shows the ocean view from the room, which is awesome!

This place is right in the center of town. The staff at the front desk was extremely helpful, friendly, and cheerful. The room was very clean and comfortable. A big plus for me was the heated swimming poo and exercise room. There is also a restaurant where we had breakfast.

I paid 30 dollars for 2 meals that are the size of a kids meal at McDonalds.

Will not eat there again. DQ used to be the best fast food. They are constantly getting Door Dash orders wrong (ie. missing items, cold food and high prices).

This place sell rotten burgers with bad sauce expired and product like potato fries taste gross does not even changed oil since long. One of my frd works inside and mentioned owner save every penny for their pocket to get more and giving not appropriate food to customers. Think twice before you visit at this location

Feedback on Unsatisfactory Service I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the service my child and I received at Daily Queen Grill and Chill During our order, a staff member treated us disrespectfully by carelessly throwing a paper cup onto the counter for my son to get water while he was ordering hamburgers. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful, especially considering that my child was present. Such an attitude created an uncomfortable experience for both of us, which is not what I expect when visiting a service establishment. I sincerely hope that measures will be taken to improve staff conduct, ensuring that all customers, particularly children, receive the respectful and attentive service they deserve. I believe that respect and care for customers are essential components of any service industry.

Could not get to pop machine because a ladder left in the way and tables were dirty. Tons of staff but they seemed more interested in chatting in their language that serving people or cleaning

I realize we were probably annoying while ordering, not on purpose though. After you spoke perfect English through the ordering process, it didn't go unnoticed when you spoke French and then looked at us. The ice that you put in the cup, didn't help the warm flat soda. I gave it a 2 because my son liked his fries.
