Shopping
Nestled in the heart of Karrinyup, the Karrinyup Shopping Centre is a vibrant hub that has evolved into a modern shopping paradise following its extensive redevelopment. With two spacious floors adorned with high ceilings, this expansive mall boasts an impressive array of over 300 stores featuring both local and international brands like Uniqlo and H&M. Shoppers can indulge in everything from fashion to accessories, while families will appreciate the dedicated play areas designed to keep kids entertained.
Had a fantastic time at Karrinyup with my son. The centre is clean, spacious, and super family-friendly. Plenty of food options, a fun vibe, and helpful staff. Perfect spot for an stress-free outing with kids and also has an epic playground!
Nate C — Google review
All under one roof. This mall has all the major retailers, including the major supermarket chains. Parking is free, but can get congested during peak hours. Be prepared to spend at least a few hours here. There is a food court that offers a wide selection of cuisine. You can get a meal for about $20. Great place to visit. Highly recommended.
Ron Y — Google review
EXCELLENT. Beautiful. Everything is there in one huge shopping mall. Free parking makes me want to rate this place 100/10. Yummy food and high-end shopping.
Азария У — Google review
If you enjoy a bit of chaos with your shopping, this mall has you covered. 🛍️ Picture this: plenty of stores (good news), but during peak hours parking turns into an Olympic sport with no medals awarded. 🚗💨 Once you finally make it inside, the experience is… fine. Nothing terrible, nothing spectacular. Just your standard “mall mood” with a sprinkle of stress. Personally, I prefer the smaller shopping centres where you can actually park without needing a tactical plan and three backup options. Overall: a solid ⭐⭐⭐ out of 5. Not my favorite, but hey, it exists, it has shops, and it gets the job done.
Pasquale L — Google review
My favorite mall in perth, hands down. Awesome range of shops for every target market - supermarkets, big box stores, economy fashion, high end fashion, furniture and homewares stores, department stores, good food courts...
Lucia R — Google review
Karrinyup Shopping Centre has really grown into one of Perth’s premier retail destinations. The redevelopment has transformed it into a modern, spacious, and stylish centre that caters to almost everything you need in one place. The range of stores is excellent – from well-known international brands to local favourites – and the mix of fashion, lifestyle, dining, and entertainment options means you can easily spend a whole day here. One of the highlights for me is the dining precinct. There’s a good variety of restaurants and cafés, from casual bites to more refined options, and it has a vibrant atmosphere, especially in the evenings. The cinema is also a great addition for those looking to combine shopping with entertainment. The centre itself is well designed, with wide walkways, plenty of natural light, and a clean, welcoming environment. Parking can get busy during peak times, but the multiple levels and improved access make it manageable. Public transport connections are also convenient. Overall, Karrinyup feels like a complete lifestyle hub rather than just a shopping centre. It’s a fantastic spot whether you’re shopping, meeting friends for a meal, or just enjoying a relaxed day out.
Pouya H — Google review
Explore this huge mall with luxury brands, delicious food, free car parking, and multiple entrances. Choose your best entrance for shopping, dining, or just a fun day out—everything you need in one place!

Shopping
Westfield Innaloo, situated in the northern suburbs of Perth, is a vibrant shopping destination catering to a diverse range of shoppers. The mall offers an extensive selection of stores, including fashion retailers, specialty shops, electronics outlets, and a variety of dining options. Conveniently located near Ikea Innaloo and featuring major retailers like Kmart, Target, Coles, and Woolworths among its 170 specialty stores.
My favorite place because it has everything I need, including Target, where I always find stylish fashion. The food court also has delicious sushi.

3.75 stars. A bit old style. Irregular shape. Not a huge shopping mall. Floor plan is like a maze. A bit uneasy for newcomers to find their destinations. But you can get essential there. There are supermarkets, post office, banks, health & beauty shops, and various eateries. Food court is adopted natural light. Restrooms are well located and cleaned regularly. Free carparks at different sites. We parked the car at the rear carpark and near McDonald's. There are so packed. The driveways are a bit tricky.
Sze N — Google review
We absolutely loved the Easter activity planned by this shopping centre, as it was different to the usual stuff planned by other shops. For instance, the kids had the opportunity to paint a Marvel character (everything provided by the centre) and there was a separate area to sit down and complete the activity too, in case they were at maximum capacity. The staff was very kind, helpful and kids were very entertained (not the typical egg hunt! ). Please keep planning amazing activities like this.
Ana P — Google review
I love the mall. Any chance you could prune this hedge down to fence height? The roundabout near McDonalds is quite a blind intersection for folks arriving from Liege St in small cars.
Stephen P — Google review
Westfield Innaloo is a great shopping centre for families! There are plenty of fun activities for children, including a lovely colouring station where the staff even provide papers and colour pens such a thoughtful touch. The place is always clean, well-maintained, and has a really nice atmosphere. It’s a pleasant spot to shop, relax, and let the kids enjoy themselves. Highly recommend for families looking for a friendly and comfortable environment for shopping.

Huge mall with Coles, Woolsworth, Target, Kmart and many other shops. Even had a bubble tea shop at the food court, along good jap food and Vietnamese food. Open carpark has bigger lots near the entrance to park our motorhome.

I accidentally dropped a ring in 1 of the bathroom basins. The cleaner called her supervisor and got my ring back in no time. Thank you very much! Excellent service.

Nestled in the vibrant Perth Cultural Centre, The Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) is a treasure trove for art enthusiasts. This gallery showcases an impressive array of both classic and contemporary regional artworks, reflecting the rich tapestry of Australian culture from 1829 to today. Visitors can immerse themselves in a diverse collection that highlights pieces from the Indian Ocean Rim alongside traditional and modern Indigenous art.
A must-see while in Perth. Adjacent to the train station and easy to access. AGWA has a wonderful collection of Aboriginal, regional Australian, and modern art. I thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour and wandering around solo.
Todd M — Google review
The gallery itself isn’t very large and the exhibitions themselves are quite small. At the time of writing there was the Cast In Bronze exhibition which had some interesting pieces, Elise Blumann exhibition, Balancing Act exhibition and the Revivification exhibition all quite small and none that I would say are must see’s. Even the statue garden on the roof top didn’t have many statues. I feel if they had less exhibitions and made the ones they have larger and more interesting it would greatly improve. Possibly the next exhibitions would change my opinion but I really don’t feel like I need to hurry back.
Casandra T — Google review
The Art Gallery of Western Australia (AGWA) is a free-entry art museum located just north of Perth Station. One thing to note is that it cannot be accessed directly from street level—you need to go through the Level 1 concourse of the station, which can be a bit confusing at first. The gallery’s collection felt smaller than I expected, but it clearly shows respect and consideration for Aboriginal culture through many of its exhibits. When I visited, there was a special exhibition of monochrome photography. Since I used to attend a monochrome photography class myself, I wanted to take my time appreciating the works—but there were so many pieces that I only managed to view them briefly. Still, it was a highly enjoyable experience. Considering that admission is free, AGWA is an excellent spot to visit on a rainy day or when you’re looking for a calm, cultural experience in Perth.
Yoichi ( — Google review
Having recently lived in Brisbane, Canberra and the ACT, I will be honest and say that I find the AGWA underwhelming compared to what you’d expect from a state gallery The layout feels sparse, and while the Indigenous collection is important, the rest kinda lacks depth. The building itself is nice though.
Chiel ( — Google review
Lovely peaceful art gallery with a diverse array of pieces. Joined a free tour (11am with Jill) and learned a lot of details you wouldn't otherwise know. Spent a happy couple of hours here.

Loved it, was so immersed in the work of Hale Tenger that I didn’t take any pictures, Borders / Borders was my favorite exhibition, would recommend.

Great place to spend the day looking at art and learning about the art landscape of WA. Bonus points for the friendly staff and the great contemporary art exhibition. Especially commendable is the art piece "Revivification", which is a must see.

Hyde Park is a serene and picturesque inner-city park featuring two lakes, playgrounds, and abundant wildlife. The water playground is a popular summer attraction, while the all-abilities playground ensures that children of all ages and abilities can enjoy the park. With shady spots for families to relax, it's an ideal location for picnics and leisure activities. The annual Hyde Park Festival offers food, entertainment, art and craft activities, live events, and fun rides.
Claro! Aqui está a tradução para o inglês com o mesmo tom bonito e descritivo: The park is simply enchanting, with stunning landscapes that radiate peace and beauty. The trees are majestic tall and impressive offering generous shade and a touch of lush nature. There are plenty of open spaces, perfect for picnics and family barbecues, as well as a playground that ensures fun for the kids. A true outdoor haven for all ages.

A chance finding as we bought drinks from a nearby coffee shop with really good drinks and pastry! Quite a few places to sit around and have a small picnic but watch out for birds that try to steal your food! Good to have a nice short walk around, but not really a destination spot that you need to cover while you're here.

Beautiful park very closer to city centre. Lots of flora and fauna, helps disconnect from city noise. Very quiet as well.

I’m an Authorised Marriage Celebrant based In Margaret River. I used to live very close to this beautiful Hyde Park and I visit frequently because it has beautiful old Moreton Bay fig trees plus bird life and people watching which gives a break to the busy Metro feeling. Hyde Park is not only stunning, it is centrally located right in the middle of Perth. It has been my pleasure to officiate a number of different Wedding commitment and naming ceremonies here. What makes it so special is not only the relaxed and intimate settings, there are a couple of options to consider (make sure that you book through the council to secure your pergola) and just be aware that it is a public setting so you might get the occasional rubber-necker!

McDonald's Innaloo is a beloved fast-food destination that has stood the test of time, famous for its iconic burgers and crispy fries. A standout feature of this location is Gai, a delightful barista at the drive-thru coffee bar. Many patrons rave about her exceptional coffee-making skills, often making the trip just to enjoy one of her brews.
There is a lovely lady Gai that works the coffee bar in the drive through at Maccas Innaloo. Honestly her coffees are in my opinion the best by far. I drive here just to have one of her coffees. Management, she should be commended. Thank you!!
Claire — Google review
Usually a pretty decent McDonald's but this time the chips weren't cooked properly and tasted a bit raw and didn't have any salt. The "twist" soft serve was fake and was just a blob of vanilla and chocolate each right squashed next to each other and was falling off the cone when served. The twist sundae was also fake and they forgot to pour the fudge on so they just poured it all over the ice cream in a puddle. McMuffins are fire as always though 🔥
Rycecars — Google review
I visited the store around 2:50 PM. The store was not busy at the time, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I received the wrong burger order, and the juice I ordered was also missing. When I brought the issue to the staff’s attention, the order was not corrected and replaced wrongly for the second time. Additionally, the staff appeared inexperienced and unprepared to handle the situation effectively. I hope this feedback helps improve the service and ensures better customer experiences in the future.
Pema T — Google review
I ordered two soft serve cones, both cones had very small amounts of ice cream on top, and the cones themselves were almost completely empty inside — there was no ice cream filled into the cone, just a small swirl on top. This is quite different from the usual quality and portion I expect from your soft serve cones.

I ordered a biscoff McFlurry from uber eats and asked for NO caramel sauce as I’m allergic and it came with caramel sauce so I called them up ( which took 30 mins for them to answer) and the manager was being rude and disrespectful he even say it was uber eats fault 😂😂😂 that’s makes no sense
Elliot M — Google review
Food and service from staff is always really good and what you'd expect. Staff seem happy and helpful. The restaurant, though, is always a disaster zone... It looks like there's always the aftermath of a few kids' parties. There's never a clean place to sit down and eat. I'm not blaming the staff for this ... they always seem very busy. The toilet facilties are also not what you'd expect in a food restaurant. Really off-putting. I recommend take-away / drive-through only. Again, the staff are very good at their food service job and are always seen working very hard.
Paul F — Google review
$7.75 for a half filled McFlurry. Sick of the high prices and constantly having things like this happen when I order. May as well buy a discounted tub of ice cream for $5!!
Foxy B — Google review
The burger and wrap me and sister got was okay but for some reason one of you guys forgot to add the bottom bun on my dad’s burger??? A few of my fries were also undercooked. Either train your workers better or people might continue making the same mistakes. Someone might even get food poisoning at this point.

Restaurant
Shadow Wine Bar & Dining Room is a versatile and stylish venue located in Perth's CBD. The exposed concrete and steel beam fit-out creates a cozy atmosphere, perfect for various occasions from noon until late. The menu offers delicious reinterpretations of classic dishes, such as jazzed-up macaroni cheese with mushrooms and a delightful lemon jelly trifle. The grand vaulted dining room behind the 1950s facade combines fondly remembered Italian restaurants with new creative waves.
Absolutely loved this place! The pasta was cooked perfectly—fresh, rich in flavour, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality ingredients. They also have a great selection of wines that pair perfectly with the meals. Whether you’re after a creamy carbonara or a classic bolognese, everything we tried was spot on. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, perfect for a casual dinner or a special night out. The staff were friendly and helpful with wine recommendations too. A fantastic spot for anyone who enjoys good Western food and a nice glass of wine. Highly recommend!

I hadn’t been here in at least 5–10 years (if it’s even been open that long!), and my two visits couldn’t have been more different. Last time was a packed evening, this time a quiet Monday afternoon. How great to find somewhere open on a Monday! It really is such a beautiful venue. I was thrilled to see non-alcoholic cocktails on the menu (not just mocktails!) and ordered the margarita. It was fine, though not amazing, so I followed up with an alcoholic amaretto sour. They were happy to make it “up” in a coupe glass instead of over ice in a short glass, which I really appreciated. We shared the baked brie to start. It was okay, which made me a bit nervous about the mains. Thankfully, the mains were excellent. We had the ribeye, the potato, the asparagus, and the beetroot risotto with goat’s cheese, all delicious. Service was lovely overall, though it would’ve been great to know a dish was unavailable before we spent 20 minutes deciding on it 😆 I also love the variety of seating (booths, high tables by the window, and standard tables) and the extensive wine list. I especially appreciate that the cocktail menu is organised by how they’re served (high, low, or up). Cocktails are more than just their ingredients! 🫶🏻

Have been a number of times. Last couple of experiences have been average. - Service quite slow, despite being relatively empty. Food brought out at different times. Friends had finished their mains before mine arrived. - Risotto was bland. Crispy leek had an unappealing texture. Other dishes were good.

The ambience here is beautiful, stylish and perfect for a relaxed evening out. We shared a few dishes and they were all really nice, fresh, and well presented. Service was friendly and unhurried, which suited the vibe. Overall, a really nice spot for good food, wine, and conversation.

Points go to Massimo's service: I was a guest staying at the Alex and while generally not someone that enjoys wine, decided to go with the wind on this occasion. I'm happy to say Massimo's wine recommendation was stellar and that I am now looking to buy this wine to enjoy with family and friends. Points also go towards the brooding design and atmosphere of Shadow. Food-wise, the oysters were ok, the scallop was actually great but the real let down was the prawn dish. The bisque was watery and flavourless and the prawns a tad tough. The asparagus dish was also just ok, though "scorched", there was not much of a smoky flavor. (I suppose the allure of char is also in the contribution of smokiness which I felt was missing from this dish.) For the price and promise of such a beautifully designed space and fantastic staff, an improvement in the food would definitely lift Shadow's game.
Natasha R — Google review
Went here for a girls' night and had a fantastic experience! They have an impressive selection of wines, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. Snapper Crudo – 10/10 This was the highlight of the night for me! Incredibly fresh and flavorful. Oyster Mignonette – 10/10 Absolutely delicious — I could’ve easily eaten a dozen! There’s such a wide variety of wines to choose from. My friend ordered the Mondeuse Noire, which paired beautifully with the Chef’s Table experience. Highly recommend for a relaxed night out with quality food and wine!

What a delight! Dark, moody and classy. The food was phenomenal, the wine list superb, and the service was intimate and personal despite the large number of covers on the Wednesday night we visited.

Staying at Alex hotel we had two great evenings here. Wonderful wine list, knowledgeable service and delicious food. The crab pasta was a hit as were the shark bay scallops. The charcuterie was very good but would love more variety in the cheese selection.

Asian fusion restaurant
Nestled in The Rechabite, Double Rainbow Bar & Eating House is a lively and vibrant restaurant that offers a high-quality Korean fusion menu. With over 90% of its offerings naturally gluten-free, it's a haven for those with dietary restrictions.
Love this place! Double Rainbow in Northbridge is always busy and for good reason. The food is consistently great, and the staff are always attentive whenever I dine in. I always order the apple kimchi salad—a refreshing mix of sweet, sour, and tangy flavours. Their beef horseradish dumplings are another must-try: thin-skinned with a generous filling. The wagyu flank was cooked to perfection, tender and full of flavour. We sat at the chef’s pass, which was a fun experience watching the bustling, efficient kitchen in action. I ended my meal with the bento dessert, the coffee miso parfait was a standout! Overall, a fantastic dining experience. Can’t wait to come back again soon!

Service was great, attentive, prompt and friendly. Menu selection for vegetarian/vegan options are good - the variety of different options opted for us to try this venue. We loved the kimchi dumplings, vegan duck as the main - to share, duck fat potatoes - delicious!!! Items that fell short of praise - Roti was a tad chewy and too firm (oppose to the soft and flaky), added to that, our Brussels Sprouts seemed VERY charred and tasted over done unfortunately. Bookings are highly recommended - especially for group bookings, good upbeat vibe here and loved the concept of the Korean-fusion menu! Over all - Enjoyable. Thanks team!

We managed to get a last minute booking for 2 with a 1.5 hour slot. Staff are very attentive and assisted with food options which were indeed good. We had the beef horseradish dumplings, prawn wantons and tuna. The taekbokki was good too. 1.5 hours didn't feel rushed as food comes out quite quick. Express items are indicated on the menu. Although there are high tables and some standard tablel seating we had counter seating.. long table seating ..so be prepared to be in close proximity to someone else

I absolutely love coming for dinner here! I've only come a few times but the food has always been amazing. I love the atmosphere and that you can watch the meals being prepared in the open kitchen. The dining space is intimate and warm, the perfect vibe for date night! Last time I came for dinner here, my partner and I tried the set menu and we couldn't recommend it more. Each dish was timed perfectly and presented beautifully. Standouts were the prawn wontons and apple kimchi salad. The set menu is great value for money and a good portions for two. The cocktails are also delicious! I want to come back and try every one!!

We ordered 5 dishes. The scallops and udon came out first, and then we waited over 30 minutes for the potato and steak — while the restaurant was only one-third full. The service was completely disorganized — every single thing was asked 2-3 times by different staff: drinks, taking the order, and whether to clear plates and serve dessert. Each time we answered a question, another staff member would come by a few minutes later and ask the exact same thing again. It was genuinely frustrating and showed zero communication within the team. And to be clear: When ordering, I specifically said the dessert can be served anytime when it’s ready, together with the food — no need to wait. So when staff later came to clear plates and bring dessert, I repeated that I had already made this request and that my friend was still eating. The response made it seem like I was the unreasonable one. We then watched the staff member walk straight to the bar to complain about us to the bartender — full-on storytelling — instead of simply passing the request to the kitchen. That alone says enough about the service attitude. When the dessert finally arrived, it was placed down without spoons. I asked for two clean spoons and she didn’t even look at us or acknowledge the request — just kept walking. I had to wait again and ask a different staff member later to finally get them. Food: • Potato and steak: good. • Udon and dessert: tasted like supermarket sauce tossed together. • Scallops: so salty they were basically inedible — $14 for one bite. Chaotic service, no internal communication, and unprofessional attitude. Would not return.

Funky place suited for open minded tolerant diners. Shared menu with plenty of dishes to choose from loved the vegan options such as mock duck buns. Thoroughly enjoyed the oyster sake pairing which was interesting. I found the prices match the value, make sure to understand how many prices you get before your order so you won't be disappointed. Best choices for me was Kimchi dumplings Mock duck buns Edamame Pumpkin dish disappointed Service was quick and quirky. Restaurant is rather loud and seats not very comfortable. Restrooms downstairs with rather dangerously steep staircase.

Double Rainbow: A Vibrant Culinary Adventure in Northbridge! Double Rainbow in Northbridge is more than just a restaurant; it's a sensory explosion and a truly vibrant dining experience. Nestled within The Rechabite, this "Korean-ish" eatery takes you on a delicious journey through bold and innovative Asian-inspired flavours. From the moment you walk in, the lively atmosphere and the enticing smells from the open kitchen grab your attention. You'll find yourself mesmerized by the chefs working with charcoal grills and woks, creating dishes right before your eyes. The menu is designed for sharing, encouraging you to sample a wide array of their creative offerings. Their approach to "fast and furious" food means dishes arrive quickly, making it perfect for pre-show dinners or late-night cravings. Highlights include their incredibly popular triple cooked potatoes (a must-try!), the flavorful kimchi dumplings, and the unique apple kimchi salad. For meat lovers, the wagyu flank and shortrib bulgogi "ribwich" are consistently praised. What truly stands out about Double Rainbow is their commitment to catering for diverse dietary needs. They offer a plethora of clearly marked vegan and gluten-free options, including an entire vegan set menu that's reportedly "insanely delicious." This makes it an incredibly inclusive place where everyone can enjoy a fantastic meal. The cocktails are playful and well-crafted, complementing the adventurous food perfectly. While it can be busy, the efficient service ensures a smooth and enjoyable experience. Double Rainbow is a fantastic spot for a fun night out with friends, a lively date, or simply to indulge in some of the most exciting and flavourful Asian-fusion cuisine Perth has to offer. Highly recommended for its unique dishes, buzzing atmosphere, and excellent service!

Wonderful vibe and really nice reimagined Asian fusion food! Cool decor to boot! Had the mushroom on potatoes, triple cooked potatoes, soy marinated Tuna, Brussels Sprouts with miso and maple. All were superb with the Brussels sprouts being the fave with the great play of sweet and saltish. Least fave was the mushroom on potatoes awhile they were great, $12ea was a little steep. Roasted pork cutlet was a big hit with it being done to perfection, not overdone and full of flavors. Snapper likewise was moist and wonderfully balanced in taste and texture. Flat iron was pretty good and done well too. Ladies mentioned that the toilets could probably do with a little more finesse.

Fast food restaurant
McDonald's Mirrabooka II is a renowned, longstanding fast-food chain recognized for its delicious burgers and fries. The establishment prides itself on maintaining cleanliness and the high quality of its offerings. However, customers may experience a notable wait time while awaiting their orders to be fulfilled. The diligent restaurant manager can be observed making concerted efforts to address the demand and enhance operational efficiency—a truly commendable endeavor.
Terrible service. They're always late, it's always dirty. How is it possible there are more than 10 people working and the place is in this condition? And why does it take so long to complete the delivery? Total disorganization. There's no order, no leadership, no supervision. Don't waste time and money in this place. It looks like a kindergarten.

We recently ordered a Double Quarter Pounder from McDonald’s, and it was extremely disappointing. Both burger patties were cold and felt like bricks. This is not the standard we expect from a global brand. We hope McDonald’s ensures fresh, hot food is served in the future.
Abdullah S — Google review
I am writing to raise a concern about the service I recently received at your store. During my visit, I requested Big Mac sauce for my nuggets. I was told by staff that the restaurant had “run out of the tubs,” which I later understood to mean that the pre-packaged tubs from the fridge were unavailable. Despite this, staff refused to simply place the sauce into a container, even though it would have taken only a few seconds. To make matters worse, part of my order was also missing. When I returned to the counter to collect the forgotten items, I asked again for the Big Mac sauce. This time, staff were able to put the sauce into a tub without issue—something I had originally been told was not possible. This inconsistency not only caused unnecessary frustration, but also reflected poorly on the level of customer service. As a regular customer, I expect staff to make reasonable efforts to fulfill simple requests, especially when it involves standard menu ingredients that are clearly available. This has happened on multiple occasions……. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter to ensure better consistency and customer service at this location. Thank you for taking the time to address my concern Regards Valued customer

Ordered a classic Angus burger meal. The burger was cold immediately and had no onion despite it being part of the order. The restaurant was filthy and the door to the restaurant auto locks so you have to let staff let you in Their self serve order kiosks have no paper so if you're gonna order pay at counter.

Horrible service, After we ordered from Uber eats delivery today. We received a sausage and cheese McGiddles new menu and McNuggets. We unpacked the bag and see it’s just buns only with missing sausage and cheese in it and no whole items of nuggets in the bag. Glad we got a refund for those issues and send pictures for your company for poor quality quote delivery.

WORST MCDONALD’S I’VE BEEN TO! Checked the bag before I drove home and noticed they missed one burger. Had to park the car and go down to ask for the burger. Arrived home and opened the burger boxes 🤮🤮🤮 they were a sloppy mess and the meat was burnt. They were not edible. We only ordered one drink and they couldn’t even get that right. We took the burgers and drink back and spoke to the manager. He asked one of the staff members (some young kid with an attitude) to make us fresh burgers and he gave us the correct drink. None of the staff there look like they know what they’re doing. We arrived home and opened the boxes…nothing changed. If anything, they were just as bad, if not worse. We put them straight into the bin.

History Museums
Located in the Perth Cultural Centre, WA Museum Boola Bardip has recently undergone a four-year renovation, emerging as a captivating space to share Western Australia's diverse stories. The museum features exhibitions on the state's cultural and natural heritage, multicultural population, and interactive technology. With eight permanent galleries showcasing fossils, specimens, historical artifacts, and immersive displays of live music and entertainment history, visitors can explore Western Australia's rich social and cultural history.
Absolutely loved the Terracotta Warriors Exhibition 🤩 Being able to see these 2,000+ year-old treasures up close was incredible — history really came alive. Perfect for kids and adults alike, with informative displays and a really engaging setup. Recommend for a family outing or anyone fascinated by ancient history!
Andrea L — Google review
I visited about two hours before closing, so it wasn’t crowded and I could enjoy the exhibition at a relaxed pace. The displays were very impressive and made me feel as if I had actually traveled to China. The history was explained in detail through videos and exhibits, which made it very interesting. Many of the displayed items were made of precious metals and still shone beautifully, which was hard to believe considering their age. I’d love to come back next time to see the permanent exhibitions as well.

Took the time to visit Boola Bardip Museum and by chance they had a special exhibit of the Qin terracotta warriors. It was a very well presented exhibit with a very beautiful, very serene visual representation of the proposed afterlife of the emperor. Following that the museum was very informative with the specifics of WA and the geology of the area and the mineral rich land it occupies. If you have the time it is worth a visit.

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the Terracotta Warriors exhibition at WA Museum was way more impressive than I imagined. Seeing these ancient warriors up close was mind-blowing — the details and history behind them are just incredible. The exhibition is laid out really well, with lots of interesting info and interactive displays that make the whole experience come alive. It’s not too crowded, photos are allowed, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. If you’re in Perth, this is definitely something you shouldn’t miss — I left feeling like I’d just travelled back in time to ancient China!

Great museum with plenty of interactive parts to keep the kids entertained throughout. We were luckily enough to visit when the Teracota Warriers were on display which was amazing to learn about and see. We really enjoyed our visit.

I mainly went to learn more about the aboriginal community and had the opportunity to take the tour with Aprita, and it was absolutely worth the trip. I had no idea about their sad history until my visit to Australia, and hearing bits and pieces along my travels has been eye-opening. Having the WA history being brought to light for others to learn about directly from an aboriginal was impactful for me. I wish Aprita all the best and hope she never loses her passion.

Took the grandchildren to see the Terracotta Warriors exhibition. What a sight to see these 2000 yr. old soldiers and horses plus lots of other artefacts. I recommend going to see it for yourself. I've only included a few photos so as not to spoil it for you. And it was really well run by very helpful staff. Also has a gift shop.

I spent 5 hours in this museum but I could have stayed there for longer if my feet didn’t hurt. There’s so much variety and there’s interesting expositions for all ages: kids to adults. Greatest room imo was the whale skeleton!

Gallery 360, located in West Leederville along Railway Parade, is a beloved art gallery and the largest picture framer in Western Australia. It features a diverse collection of modern and contemporary art by leading local artists and offers various services for art enthusiasts and creators. Serving as a central hub for artists and galleries across Perth, Gallery 360 is known for its professional approach and expertise in framing artwork.
Was looking to frame a recent print I purchased and decided to use Gallery 360 to complete the job. The process was easy as well as quick. While I was fortunate to have the specific frame details supplied by the artist the team at Gallery 360 were happy to help me feel comfortable it was the right choice. The frame was ready on time and looks spectacular!

We had been looking for someone to help us with our project to make a wall photo frame to look like a negative filmstrip from a series of black and white 8 x 0 inch prints we had collected from street vendors travelling around America more than 20 years ago. We wanted to put them in our home theatre room to remember our trip. It took us that long to find someone to so it at Gallery 360. We were delighted that Georgia was enthusiastic and determined, did all the research and calculations, was thorough about the style and type of frame and glass. We were as thrilled and delighted with the result of this long project as she was 😀 especially when we hung it in our theatre room. So a big thank you to Georgia and well done from pleased customers.

A big thanks to Tatiana and all the team at 360 Gallery. Such a no-fuss, stress-free experience from the first phone contact for quotes and info through to the finished product, which is just beautiful ! My first time using a framers, so they were very helpful going through all of the options. The range of frames available and the advice on how best to showcase our painting was fabulous. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and will certainly be back!

My entire experience here was faultless. From the beginning the team heard my ideas for framing a special painting but gently guided me to a better choice. When I collected my framed painting and hung it I was blown away. The art has been lifted by the frame. The care taken to create what is now a centrepiece in my room is evident. I will be returning. (Oh and their gallery is fabulous too!)

I was extremely impressed with the time and consideration I was given when I walked in with a collection of old photos that I wanted framed for my husband's birthday. From suggesting the use of multiple frames and different frame sizes, design lay out, framing choices and providing a digital copy of all photos to even arranging the clean-up and restoration of an old photo frame with the original photos (at no extra charge), Georgia was clearly skilled and certainly showcased the photos I had selected to their best potential. The frames were completed in good time. I would not hesitate to recommend Gallery 360 to anyone wanting something special framed in a professional and spectacular manner. A heartfelt thank you to the team at Gallery 360.

The Stirling Farmers' Market is a special place where you can find an array of local products directly from the growers and makers. It takes place at the City of Stirling Administration Building every Sunday morning, offering a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods, and gourmet handmade pasta. What sets this market apart is its commitment to supporting the community by giving back all funds raised.
It was more crowded than I expected, which shows how much people appreciate this place. I really enjoyed that there were about 10 stalls offering a variety of food, including bread, Turkish cuisine, burgers, crepes, juice and coffee. It was a great experience to browse and try different foods.

I got some beautiful spray-free figs, organic bananas, capsicum and onions, some Kombucha that I'm keen to try, pasture raised eggs, grass-fed beef burger patties and stir-fry. There are several places to get a bite to eat or a coffee, which smelled great passing by. I'll definitely go back.

To my surprise, it's a well-equipped shopping center offering a wide range of stores and dining options. With major supermarkets like Aldi, Coles and Woolworths, as well as numerous restaurants and fast-food outlets such as KFC and Hungry Jack's, it caters to all your needs. It's the worst store in Perth! More than twice I added mayo and sauce and it didn't come on the sandwich! More than once the potatoes came extremely salty! And on the last order, the sandwich came cold! If they don't know how to work, it's better to close down.

Dine in and drive through store nestled next to Dogswamp with some parking near the front. Burgers were a little sloppy with loose ingredients and sauces skewed to one side and up against the wrapper, even though we ate instore. Otherwise the taste overall is ok quality for Hungry Jacks. The menu features simple yet well-executed dishes, including antipasti, pasta, and a selection of wines from regions like Tuscany and the Veneto.

No Mafia feels like one of those restaurants you see in movies—where talented chefs create a cool, intimate space with a small but soulful menu. And that’s exactly what it is. Exactly. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with soft lighting that practically demands a Negroni in hand, a carefully curated playlist that makes you want to stay longer, and beautiful decor that pleases the eye in every detail. The service was exceptional. A lovely Spanish waitress (whose name I asked for but, unfortunately, forgot—my bad!) led me to my table, and when I asked for her recommendation, she confidently suggested the Pappardelle with Duck Ragu as the main course. I didn’t need to think twice. My order was set: Mortadella to start, Pappardelle with Duck Ragu as the main, and a Negroni to tie it all together. Everything was outstanding. Truly, exceptionally well-executed. The Duck Ragu was, without a doubt, one of the best dishes I’ve had in years—maybe in my entire life. The fresh pasta was perfectly al dente, the ragu was thick, rich, and beautifully balanced in flavor, with just the right hint of truffle oil and finely grated Parmesan elevating every bite. Honestly, I could go on for hours about this incredible experience—dining alone in a restaurant with soul, with people who are genuinely passionate about what they do. This review is my small way of expressing gratitude to those who work hard (and believe me, I know what that means—I spent years working in restaurant kitchens) and do it for the love of food. Treat yourself to No Mafia. It’s a gift to yourself. ❤️

No Mafia is an absolute standout for anyone who loves authentic Italian done with style. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and vibrant — ideal for a casual dinner that still feels special. Their menu shows real care for quality ingredients, and I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful vegan options. The pasta was perfectly cooked, bursting with flavour, and the share plates were fresh and creative. Pair it with a glass (or two) from their excellent wine list — especially the Italian reds — and you’ve got a winning night. The staff are warm, knowledgeable, and happy to recommend dishes and wines without being overbearing. You can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do, which makes the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for a spot in Perth where great food, friendly service, and a lively vibe come together, No Mafia should be top of your list. I’m already planning my next visit. Alex

I had the duck pappardelle and it tasted great. But beware of the long wait time. I placed my order slightly before 7pm on a Wednesday evening (the place was about half full) and waited 45 mins to get the food. The food was great but honestly not that fantastic that I would do it again.

Super yummy - I had a duck and truffle pappardelle plus a chilled red. My partner had the gluten free pork sausage pasta! Both delicious. We didn’t have a booking but didn’t have to wait long for a table - lovely staff and great setting.

Had an amazing experience at No Mafia for my friends 30th birthday. They organised a long table in the alfresco area and were very accommodating to let us come early and put out some balloons and flowers. Our server Tanja was phenomenal, so welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. She explained the set menu to all of us, never let us go without drinks or waiting for service. The whole team really made sure we had a great night. The food was phenomenal, and we felt that it was very good value for money. 100% recommend hosting your next function at this place. Would rate it higher if I could.

Roman aranchini was the best ! Mortadella was ok, squid was ok, ragu papadelle was very good too. Great with a local wine .

Me and my partner went here for my birthday. First of all they had to redo her dish because it was too salty and then we saw a cockroach on the floor beside us. It was gross. They stomped on it like it was nothing saying that the door is open and they can't do anything about it. After a minute we saw another one ON THE WALL OF THE KITCHEN. That's crossing the line... They trapped it, put it on the floor and stomped on it in front of us while we were eating. Disgusting. We left straight after and when we went to pay she kept saying that the door is open so they come in, like it was my fault because they want to leave the door open... Very rude. I know we are in the city center but it's no excuse to have cockroaches in the kitchen of a 50-60$ pp restaurant.

Had a great dinner at No Mafia the other night! We sat at the bar and ended up having some lovely chats with the bartenders toward the end of the night. We were struggling to pick a red, and Fabrizio came through with a great recommendation. Service was spot on! We forgot to snap a photo of the mains (they were delicious) but the potato chips were to die for!

Spanish restaurant
Pinchos Bar De Tapas is a charming Spanish tapas bar located on the corner of Oxford and Newcastle Street in Leederville. The intimate setting with raw-brick walls and streetside seating offers an authentic Spanish experience. Inspired by the owner's summer holidays in Spain, the bar serves a variety of delicious Spanish delicacies at affordable prices. From fried pork belly cubes to house-made churros and sangria, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Pinchos Leederville is a gem! The pork belly bites were absolutely sensational — crispy, tender, and bursting with flavour. Their traditional margaritas were spot on: perfectly balanced and super refreshing. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and consistently delicious food. Highly recommend for a casual night out or a tasty tapas experience!

Our group of seven was buzzing with excitement as we anticipated our visit to this highly recommended spot. However, the reality fell short of our expectations: the food was rather uninspiring, lacking the flair we had hoped for. The atmosphere, while adequate, didn’t possess the charm or vibrancy that would have made our experience memorable. On a brighter note, the staff were warm and welcoming, their friendliness adding a touch of kindness to an otherwise average outing.

✨ This was my first visit to this place, and it definitely won’t be the last! The food is simply outstanding – a sublime harmony of flavors that leaves you wanting more. The service? Absolutely unbeatable! Raquel and Cristhell embody the true essence of hospitality, making every guest feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. 🌟 Highly recommended!

This turned out to be one of the best vegetarian tapas culinary experience we ever had worldwide (including Spain where we have been 13 times over the years). We had the Champiñones, the Patatas Bravas, the Tortilla Española, the Champiñones con Queso Azul, the Pan Arabe, the Queso Manchego, the Queso de Cabra, and the Berenjena. All were absolutely delicious. So tasty and so varied. The house red wine (Australian) was perfect too. Lovely atmosphere in the area in the back of the restaurant where we were seated. Excellent service. Highly recommended!!

A perfect spot for any time of day, consistently delicious! Pinchos has become a real go-to spot for me, and it's just as fantastic for a lively dinner as it is for a relaxed lunch. I came for a quick, efficient lunch with colleagues and enjoyed it so much I returned for a bustling, social dinner with friends. The tapas-style menu is brilliant for both occasions, creative, full of flavour, and perfect for sharing. We loved being able to try a little bit of everything, and the quality of each dish was consistently high. The atmosphere effortlessly shifts from a bright, great break in the day to a vibrant, energetic buzz in the evening. No matter the time, the food is delicious and the service is friendly and attentive. It's the perfect place to share great food with great company. Highly recommend

Best restaurant in Leederville. Proper tapas. Nice vibe inside and out. Anything on the menu is worth trying. Big fan of the ‘tick style’ menu, we passed it round and added a few bits each. The baked basque cheesecake to finish was top tier. A must try. Owner’s lovely and made us feel exceptionally welcome. Would come back at any time of the day or even just for a drink and a nibble.

Swedish restaurant
IKEA Restaurant, located in Innaloo, is a popular chain store restaurant that offers Swedish-inspired cuisine. Their menu features traditional dishes like meatballs and salmon. The restaurant also has monthly specials, such as Roast Pork Dinner for $4.95, Breakfast for $2.95, and Soup or Swedish Meatballs for $3.50. In addition to the main dining area, they have a Bistro with various snack options like Hot Dogs for $1.
We visited the IKEA restaurant in Perth for lunch and had a great experience. The food was delicious, and we really appreciated the self-serve setup, which made everything convenient. Even though it was crowded with families due to the holiday season, the service was efficient, and we didn’t have to wait long. A fantastic spot for a quick and satisfying meal!
Emi L — Google review
Overall, the IKEA restaurant is a great value and a delicious option, whether you’re shopping in the store or nearby and craving their famous meatballs or one of their many other tasty dishes. It might not be for everyone, but I’ve been really happy with what they offer. I appreciate that they have specials every Friday and other promotional deals from time to time, which makes the already good value even better. The downside is that the line for food can get quite crowded, and the dining area feels like a large, noisy school cafeteria. Still, it’s worth it for the value—just a quick in-and-out kind of place!
Tom L — Google review
Whenever we head North of the river, a visit to the IKEA canteen is an absolute must, especially for their exceptional meatball servings. As someone who appreciates both taste and quality, I am consistently impressed by the deliciousness of their food. The meatballs, available in kids' sizes of either 8 or 12, are genuinely the best around. Not only is the size perfect, especially for children, but the taste is unparalleled. They strike a delightful balance in flavor and texture, making every bite an enjoyable experience. Accompanying these scrumptious meatballs are choices of chips or mash and peas, served with a sweet jam that perfectly complements the savory meat. This combination elevates the meal to a whole new level of satisfaction. The portions are generous, ensuring that both kids and adults leave the table feeling content. The canteen's ambiance is casual and family-friendly, making it an excellent spot for a quick and hearty meal. The queue times can vary, sometimes a swift 10 minutes or a longer 20-minute wait during peak hours, but the wait is always worth it for the quality of food served. Accessibility and convenience are other positives of this IKEA canteen. The location is easy to reach, with ample parking available, making the 'in and out' experience as 'easy and peasy' as it gets. This hassle-free approach is particularly appreciated when we're just stopping by for a quick bite. In conclusion, the IKEA canteen is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for delicious, high-quality food at a reasonable price. Whether you're shopping at IKEA or just in the area, their meatballs are a must-try. It's a dining experience that promises satisfaction and leaves you planning your next visit.

meatballs are still elite as ever but their prices are increasing- naturally. i got 8 because i wasn’t craving them awfully. minus lingonberries (not sorry anymore sweden). 8 was still quite the filling portion, and i was able to use the saved money from 12 meatballs to buy a cinnamon scroll which was very nice, not too sweet but a little wheaty(??) there’s something about its texture but otherwise i enjoy coming here. it’s a little far drive though, and extremely busy on weekends especially so come early

Due to restricted seatings had to wait 20 mins in line before we could even order and then sit down. Thanks Daddy McGowan. Back to the food. Always good value food at this place. No frills, reasonable and hospital/ canteen kind of food. If you like your meatballs then this place is good. Majority of the food tasted good. Except for the cinnamon scrolls which was pretty bland. Other then that everything was around $50ish for what you see so pretty light on the hip pocket 🙌🏽

Looking for nice meal at a reasonable price try on IKEA Restaurant and Cafe. Had $5 breakfast and great value for money and then had a coffee at the cafe. Disappointed I did not get in a mug but rather a paper cup when I asked for that. Otherwise friendly and efficient service with a nice modern ambiance. You can then go and do your shopping!

Scarborough Beach is a vibrant and popular destination in Perth, known for its lively atmosphere and variety of attractions. The beach underwent a major redevelopment in 2018, resulting in a landscaped esplanade with amenities such as bars, restaurants, BBQ grills, and an open-air public pool facing the ocean. The Esplanade at Scarborough Beach resembles Venice Beach with its diverse crowd that includes international backpackers, families, and even the sound of Harley Davidsons.
One of my personal favorite beach in Perth. The facility they offer are amaze me. Easy to access and many slots for public toilet is a plus thing as well

Scarborough Beach is one of Perth’s best spots for all ages. The white sand is stunning, and the vibe is lively year-round with night markets in both winter and summer. Kids love the Whale Playground, skaters hit the Snake Pit, and the beachside amphitheatre often has live music and events. Great cafes and ocean sunsets make it easy to spend the whole day here.
Hemanta S — Google review
Scarborough Beach is nice but feels very quiet in winter—few people during the day, and many shops are closed on weekdays. The public toilets are okay but could be cleaner. Parking wasn’t an issue on weekdays, which was a plus. Good for a peaceful walk, but don’t expect much activity in the colder months.

A truly beautiful beach. Surfing is possible from the bank. It's not a long ride . Just watch for a current in the channel. There is also a skate park and climbing wall. Restaurants snack bars and a hotel. There is also a new swimming pool. Lots of grass areas. Friendly and safe. Love the place

It’s a lovely and refreshing beach. I loved visiting this beautiful beach and went there several times to get fresh air and view. The ocean waves are amazing and not fast flowing as compared to City Beach. The best time to visit is towards evening time as you get to view the sunset and the fresh breeze. Also if you’re looking for a beach or a place to freshen up yourself after a week long work, then this is the idle place for you.

Located in Scarborough, the Whale Playground is a beachfront attraction featuring a massive blue-and-white climbing frame designed in the shape of a whale skeleton. Children can explore the structure, navigating through the netting in the body of the whale, sliding down tunnels, and swinging on bird's nest swings hanging from the tailbone. The playground also includes scattered whale bones for kids to play with, soft sand areas, and a wooden fort with a cubby.
Whale theme Playground located at Scarborough beach.!There are plenty of swings and slide. It is the perfect for kids.

Didn't get time to try the swings, it was a TEST to try and get actual photos of these swings tho cos kids were on and nearby them the whole time😭 Okok swing count: 6!! Half sand, half kidsafe squishy rubber stuff underneath Almost all rounded rubber ones so that's good, no shade on any tho so 💔 None of the chains were rusty either! Rope swings looked safeish, as well as this mystery seesaw swing?? In picture #2 that I've never seen before?? It had like 2 swings hanging from it, so crazy. Not pictured is the 2 swings the kids were on the whole time! (Normal rubber rounded ones) Lots of variety, again tho, only half sand and no shade!! 3/5

Such a Great Spot for Kids! It’s got this huge blue whale structure that the kids absolutely loved climbing on. There’s heaps to do—slides, nets, swings, etc. It’s right by the beach, so the views are amazing, and it’s super handy having cafes and places to grab a coffee nearby. The whole area feels really clean, safe, and family-friendly. Park BBQ available as well. Perfect place to let the kids burn off some energy while you relax and enjoy the ocean breeze.

This is one of the best playgrounds you will find in the northern suburbs. It's good for all ages. It's got an amazing slide and some swings, heaps of sand, shade and it is right by the beach. Also some BBQs are a bit further so what else can you ask for? Some tables and benches, water ... Love this place my kids love it too!

The Scarborough Beach Clock Tower is positioned at the main entrance of Scarborough beach, situated along the esplanade. Its vibrant shading covers decorate both ends of the structure. The spacious plaza surrounding the clock tower remains largely unoccupied, making it a noticeable and convenient landmark for visitors. Furthermore, this public space has undergone impressive redevelopment, offering numerous power sources with 32amp 3 phase outlets available to utilize.
Scabs' clock is awesome. Big concrete thing that had the sickest banks you could grind and carve back in the 80's. Which I did as a young skate punk. I'm super glad they have kept it. I went there the other day and took some ripper shots with Kelly. Check them out :)

The clock is located at the main entrance of Scarborough beach. It's along the esplanade so should be visible if you walk down the road. There were quite colourful shading covers along either end of the clocktower. The plaza around the clocktower was quite large and fairly empty. Nice landmark and a good place to start since its fairly easy to spot.

I undestand it's a historical clock offered by the rotary club but it is very ugly and the city didn't replace it or repaint it or revamped it during the esplanade works of scarborough beach which is is a shame. At least it has the utility of giving the right time. It would be nice if it has been removed and replaced with and more modern feature.

We had an incredible experience thanks to Marina outstanding customer service! She was so warm and welcoming, and the cocktails she crafted were exceptional. My husband was particularly delighted with his old fashioned, as it had been ages since he enjoyed one that hit the spot. I decided on the crab chili linguine, and it was simply fantastic. The food and cocktails here are truly remarkable—I'd highly recommend this place to everyone! 👏🏻 We will definitely be returning soon!

We went here for a group dinner, it was busy and yet staff were happy prompt and professional. This positive helpful attitude really ensured that my first impressions were a positive one. I ordered the vegan garden Pizza and it was yum! It was cooked well and came out so quickly. We had 8 people on our table and everyone loved their meals. I would recommend checking this place out for a meal when in Scarborough.

We were there on a rainy Friday morning. It was quiet and we decided to brave the cold and sit outside. The coffee was strong, and the hot chocolate was top quality. My wife had the poached eggs which she said were done perfectly. My omelette was surprisingly substantial. Staff were all friendly and accommodating.

I had an excellent experience at this well-located restaurant near Scarborough Beach. The selection of food options was extensive and diverse, and the staff demonstrated a high level of professionalism and attentiveness. Our group, which was relatively large, was well-managed by Lauren, who efficiently organised our drinks and food orders in a timely manner. I would like to express my gratitude for a truly enjoyable dining experience. It was also great to meet the owner Ben who also seemed throughout the day to be front and back of house. Thanks again I will be back soon!

Who doesn't love good food at a great price. Monday steak special for $20 hits the spot perfectly. And cooked to order, lovely pepper sauce (or garlic) and fresh salad with a lovely vinaigrette. Views to die for and ice cold beverages. Tick, tick, tick, 10/10.

Cheap steak night ($20). Busy atmosphere but it should be being Scarborough beach top location. Service was good and quite fast. Lots of floor and bar staff. Surprisingly our steaks come out rare and medium rare just right because our Italian waiter never asked when taking the order. But if its cheap...it fits! Will we go back?? Only when in the neighbourhood and every where is closed...Arivederci

We had a fantastic experience at The Sandbar for our Porsche Club event. Lauren, the Events Manager, was a pleasure to deal with — friendly, professional & super helpful from start to finish. The whole team was welcoming, the service was great, and the food was hot, fresh & absolutely delicious. Highly recommend for group bookings or anyone looking for a relaxed venue with excellent hospitality right by the beach! Cheers, Porsche Club of Western Australia🥂

Good food and drinks. 2 adults and 2 kids $125 for breakfast so a bit on the steep side but was delicious nonetheless. Service was a bit slow when waiting to order but food and drinks came out in a timely manner.

Straits Café at the Rendezvous Hotel in Scarborough is a stylish dining destination that boasts stunning glass walls and breathtaking views of the pristine Scarborough Beach and the shimmering Indian Ocean. This elegant restaurant specializes in Modern Australian cuisine, offering a delightful buffet breakfast and an exquisite dinner menu featuring fresh, locally sourced produce. The café's contemporary dishes highlight the region's simple yet vibrant flavors, making it a perfect spot for food enthusiasts.
Lovely Lunch at Straits Café We had a really nice lunch today at Straits Café, located in the Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough. The restaurant has a great vibe with a modern look and big windows that offer a beautiful view of the ocean – perfect for a relaxed meal. I tried the Full Rack BBQ Pork Ribs, and they were fantastic! The meat was tender and full of flavor, and the side of red cabbage and sweet potato chips went perfectly with it. My husband ordered the 300g Dry-aged Pasture-fed Stirling Range Beef Striploin, which looked just as delicious. It came with crispy potatoes and roasted cauliflower. The service was friendly and efficient, and we had a very pleasant experience. If you're looking for a good lunch spot with a view in Scarborough, Straits Café is definitely worth a visit!

First time eating here that isn't Christmas day lunch which the food was ok but could have been better, the staff though were friendly and helpful and it's just nice not to have to cook and can just relax. Now as for Saturday night, the restaurant looked absolutely beautiful with nice views from inside looking out to the ocean but unfortunately that's all it has going for it because the food didn't reflect it and been as it wasn't Christmas i was hoping the food to be better. We ordered the sourdough with herb butter, the bread was toasted and just didn't taste fresh at all, the truffle mash potato tasted like the instant mash from a packet you can buy from Coles, my husbands steak was an absolute joke all you got was a piece of steak and what looked like a few corn chips with cheese between each one for $56, if it was an actual meal the price may have been a bit more acceptable but not just what was on the plate, the speghettatone i enjoyed but even though it had 3 different sauces in it, it didn't have much flavour, the semifreddo was the best dish of the night and i did enjoy it although i wish their was more of it. The staff were friendly but only came over once for another round of drinks and considering the restaurant was empty from the time we got there to the time we left i would of thought the food would have came out quicker. Not a restaurant i would rush back to.

Went this morning for breakfast and had a 9.45am booking, upon arrival the staff member at the desk straight away said food will only be available till 10.30am but you may sit here for longer, I was shocked, if this was the case they should stop bookings at 9.30am, as we barely had time to sit down we quickly had to get serving on the buffet breakfast before they took it away, the breakfast food wasn't the best clearly it had been sitting there since early breakfast, most of the hot food was all dry and there was no topping up, for example the pour yourself juices were empty it took me 5mins pouring try to fill a glass, the toaster was not working you had to put your bread on 20 times for it to start toasting, if that wasn't bad enough they started packing up things at 10.15am the cups at the coffee station were put away, lights in cabinet with yoghurt were turned off, in total a terrible experience, I believe they should not charge full price for late bookings cause we didn't have access to a full fresh buffet, my opinion avoid Straits cafe for breakfast or make sure you book an early booking. I strongly do not recommend.

Buffet breakfast after our overnight stay. Was standard buffet breakfast where everything was ok though not exceptional. Plates were cold food was mostly warm. Toast your own bread toaster. Pastries, eggs, sausages and bacon and the usual stuff. Lurpack butter pats also a chocolate fountain and lollies etc ...for breakfast! Barista coffees were an extra charge but there was a coffee machine and a tea station. Plenty of space and seats and tables. Nice and clean and pleasant surroundings.

Great food, awesome atmosphere the decor is amazing and fresh. Service was light but you never know if they were down staff that night. Wide range of cocktails and the food is delicious. Will be back!!

Perfect views, awesome food. Excellent service. Top notch place. You must, MUST order the scallops. $10 a piece, get 6 for $55, just get 6. Trust me, you wont regret it. Everything else that we had was awesome as well. Steps to the beach..unfortunately it was raining, so we couldn't explore the beach.

Dropped in for a late lunch at Island Market and was seriously impressed. The beachfront location is unbeatable, and the interior has a clean, coastal vibe. We shared a few small plates — the grilled octopus and lamb ribs were standouts. Cocktails were on point and service was warm but not overbearing. A great mix of quality food, good music, and ocean air. Will definitely be back.

Absolutely love this place and has become one of our favourite locals. Food is awesome. Full of flavour, great balance, and we love the slight tweaks on classic pairings that make it unique. Cocktails also on point. Great casual vibe and staff are always friendly and attentive.

I went to IMT with a friend and, from the moment we walked in, I was really happy! The interior was gorgeous and inviting. There was a nasty storm outside while inside was warm and cosy. Surprisingly, on a Thursday night, there weren’t many people in (likely, due to the storm). We ordered the Zucchini & Halloumi Fritters, some Shoestring Fries, and the Woodroasted Half Chicken with Pearl Couscous. The wine arrived within a couple of minutes, and the rosé I ordered for myself was really good. Impressively, the food arrived within about ten minutes and everything looked really good. The fritters were spectacular. I just couldn’t get enough of them. Light and fluffy, and then the walnuts offered a pleasant crunch. The garlic labneh on top was to die for. The chicken was roasted to perfection and the couscous was beautifully seasoned. The green chilli labneh was also nice, but not as good as the garlic one, in my opinion. We were too full to order dessert, but we’d definitely come back to try more. The service was great - everyone we encountered was very lovely.

Modern Australian restaurant
Fine dining restaurant
Clarke's offers modern Australian fine dining in a stylish, white-tablecloth setting. Guests can choose from a tasting menu or à la carte options. The restaurant is known for its beautifully presented and flavorful dishes, with each course building on the previous one. The portions are smaller than usual, but the exquisite presentation and rich flavors make up for it. The wine pairings are expertly selected, and the staff provides excellent service.
Can't recommend this place enough! Absolutely beautiful food! Flavour is clearly extremely important and it shows, each course building on the previous and going to another level. While the portions are understandably smaller than your typical restaurant, it's what's expected when the food comes out so wonderfully presented packed with so much flavour. The Wine pairings were selected excellently and the staff were beyond wonderful. Thankyou for such a great evening to celebrate my anniversary! Can't wait to come again.

If I could rate higher, I certainly give it a 6 star. Absolutely a hidden gem in the area. Lovely staffs with exceptional service and the foods are just gorgeous. We chose a perfect place for our anniversary. Thank you for the little surprise to made our day!

I tried to go to fine dining restaurant a lot but This fine dining restaurant is worst place in Perth. Visually looks not to bad however definitely not worth for $100 per person. Firstly, menu was different. I saw menu on website and it was attracted but when I got the first food. It was different as advertised on website. Waitress explained internet menu is not updated. How do people believe menu in this restaurant???? People are normally check menu before booking. Secondly, I visited a lot of fine dining in Perth but it was very different system to wait food. We booked 6.30pm and need to wait until all customer arrive in restaurant. I guess there are 30-40 people. And we got first meal about 7pm. I feel like wedding party or big group function style. In addition, I need to wait about half hour to get each food even though I finished my meal early. We need to wait until other table finish their meal too. They serve dishes at a same time. Thirdly, this is the worst part. Food quantity is very small amount. Every meal had coin size meals. All meal are just one or two bite and finished. It is 7 course but after finished, I felt still hungry and unhappy. One of brisket dish was worst. Very dried and salted. It was worst brisket I have had ever. After all meal, I had another dinner at home. Why do I go to restaurant and spend money?? All dish are looks fancy but it is definitely not worth to pay $100 per person. Also you will pay water bill $5 per person. It is very tricky. I hardly recommend this restaurant and never go again. As I explained, I went to other fine dining restaurant. I can say This is the most small dishes fine dining in Perth. Thank to ruin my special day.

Went there on a Thursday evening to celebrate my wife's birthday had their 7 course degustation with matching wines. Could not have been happier. Beautifully crafted food served in a very relaxed way by knowledgeable staff who really seemed to be enjoying their work. Just the right amount of everything. The restaurant is a tastefully modified quite modest house in a northern beach suburb of Perth. The atmosphere was cosy and congenial. Full marks.
James H — Google review
Sorry for saying this but it was pretty bad experience to me and my friends. Firstly, the place is not so fancy enough and i was sitting next to the door so we were cold during the service. Secondly, menu is not updated, so we had different dishes. Also the service time was too slow, we have to wait at least 20min each tiny items. Main menu is margaret river brisket was dry and not enough size to fill my empty stomach. I have no idea why we need 2 desserts which are not even special. I believe $100 is not worth for food here. Again im so sorry for my bad review but this is what i felt.

It’s nice to see the attention to detail in the presentation of the food combined with exquisite flavours and excellent service. Definitely a five star restaurant. The restaurant was full for a Tuesday night and had a great atmosphere. We will definitely come back.

Once again... Australia is full of great surprises. As an American travelling about for 6 weeks across this continent...2 things became clear. There IS great food here...AND... somd of the best values were at the nicest/upscale places. The 6 course degustation at Clarkes was simply amazing. The skill and love that went into each course showed cleary. Amazing service and great wine pairings. From this Foodie to you.... highly recommend.

Day 4

Off the beaten path
For day 4, if you don’t mind the extra trek, today covers more off the beaten path places like Lake Gwelup Regional Open Space. Not quite as popular as WA Museum Boola Bardip, but still highly rated among many travelers. Accounting for getting around and average time spent, today’s activities could take about 5 hours.

Lake Gwelup Reserve is a picturesque sanctuary boasting a vast, stunning lake teeming with various bird species. The surrounding area offers an effortless walking path encircling the lake, interspersed with limestone tracks for those seeking shorter routes. Additionally, there are grassy spaces by the water's edge, providing an ideal setting to relax and appreciate the mesmerizing scenery. This park is also pet-friendly, allowing dog owners to unleash their furry companions at one end of the reserve.
As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia tour, I was in the area for a donation and stumbled across this Open space, seemed like a poor man's lake monger but still a nice pleasant stroll around the lake, had toliet facilities there.

Nice walkable park with smooth, clean paved paths. Though there are a few small paths closer to the lake. Mostly flat on the main paths around the lake. Great for families with small children learning how to use their bike. The whole area is straightforward and easy to navigate. There is a small parking lot near the playground on the southwest side. Near the scout group building and tennis courts.

Always amazing, water levels are high and so much wildlife and wildflowers. Dog friendly - if the dogs are friendly. Watch out for cyclists - they ride fast and don’t like to ring their bells. Burnt bridge crossing is still missing 😢

We couldn’t be happier with the Growplay Adventurer play equipment! From the moment it was set up, our daughter has been absolutely thrilled with it. It’s been an incredible tool in helping her grow in confidence and improve her gross motor skills. She loves the challenge of climbing, balancing, and swinging, and we’ve seen her become more adventurous and self-assured as a result. The build quality is fantastic, and it’s clear that safety was a top priority in the design. Watching her develop physically and mentally while having so much fun has been a joy. We wholeheartedly recommend the Growplay Adventurer, it’s an investment that has paid off tenfold!

We love the Growplay Compact Monkey Bar Set. We were hesitant in spending the money at first, but our girls age 4 and 7 play on it continuously. Money well spent, we will continue to add the other accessories to the set. The quality is unbelievable and so sturdy, we have been hit with some major storms lately and not once has it moved. Highly recommend Growplay Monkey Bars.

Don't order for a birthday or special event. We ordered our playground to arrive the Thursday we moved into our new home before school holidays and arranged their recommended installer to install. When tracking stalled the Friday after it was due I followed up with Growplay. They assured me they were on to it. 5 days later I contacted the delivery company directly and managed to work out that a box had been misplaced (why growplay couldn't work this out i don't know). Again growplay got involved at my request and said they were on to it. Another we 3 days later and it's only when I directly follow up with the transport that they get a new box shipped. Finally we have the boxes but the installer can't install for a week. Goodbye school holidays. After the delivery company were involved they followed up to ensure it's all been received. No word from growplay. Don't expect that they care. Don't expect tour delivery on time. And if it isn't certainly don't expect customer service to help or follow up. Hopefully one day I'll be able to review more than my blank lawn

Grow Play Monkey Bars are awesome. My two girls spend endless hours outside climbing, swinging and playing on their Ninja Climbing Frame. It's great as you can add onto your set giving the kids more challenges. Well worth the money we have spent! It also looks pretty cool in the front yard!

Waiting since April with expected delivery September, finally receiving all items ordered 2 weeks after Christmas, my disappointment about this disappeared once I seen the pure enjoyment on my Grandsons faces. They both just love playing outside on their Growplay Monkey Bars, it keeps them entertained for hours each and every day. Thank you for such a great climbing frame....it was so worth the wait to see them so happy.

Our kids love their new monkey bars. Strong enough for them as they age, and so much fun. After only 1 week my youngest mastered the bridge and is so excited. We got the soccer wall as a replacement for a swing, was a surprise, but much better for the age and usage of our kids. They've even decided the soccer net can double as a "locker" when they are climbing but not kicking!

We are over the moon with our Growplay Monkey bar set. It is the perfect lockdown present for my girls to get them away from the screens and out into the sunshine. We highly recommend you check out this brand, lots of options and accessories and the customer service was amazing.

What an awesome place this is! Lovely men running it and volunteering their time. The trains are so cool and the event is so well priced for a family morning out. You pay more for 1 ride at the Royal show than for your admission here for a whole morning!! So nice for families that cannot afford a small fortune to take their kids out. Well done guys 👏. On a side note, this is such a great thing for the men to be involved with, I can imagine the sense of community, mateship and mental health benefits for all involved. Good vibes.

Such a great morning for our family. We all enjoyed our train experience. The club runs an open day once a month for the public to come along and get enjoyment out of their cool trains. There are quite a fee different types of trains and you can have as many rides as you can fit it in. The central grassed area is also perfect for setting up your picnic and you can watch the trains go around and around. You go through a tunnel, over a bridge under a bridge and stop at the Baker street station. The club runs it all and it's so wonderful to be able to see their passion for community and their love of trains. Thank you.

I took my 2 year old boy and he loved it. We went on the train for 45 minutes with no stops. He loved it. We went in summer so it got quite hot with limited shade. The area could be better maintained but I think it's because it is volunteer based. Staff there love their trains and what they do. Will definitely go back in the cooler weather.

The Star Swamp Bushland Reserve is a 96 hectare nature preserve located in Perth, Western Australia. The reserve is home to a wide variety of bushland and wildflower species, some of which are especially beautiful due to their range of native orchids.
Great place for a picnic , go to the water tower museum first ( entry via donation), look at the amazing views from up top.. then have a nice prepackaged lunch with the kid's on the lawn , walking trails are here also. Take note the swamp dries up mostly in Summer so the best time is after the wet periods. Kid's will love it here i know because i grew up here myself as a kid and have always enjoyed this place.

As a part of my Sperm Donation Australia Tour, I was in the local neighbourhood after a donation, and found this lovely nature reserve. Pleasant walk, multiple paths, and seemed like a hidden gem as not many people were walking around it. Some interesting plaques with information about the lands history.

We love Star Swamp for our daily walks — the dog always enjoys it and there’s so much birdlife to spot. It’s peaceful, not too busy, and has a range of paths through native bushland. You’ll often see black cockatoos, and if you’re lucky, maybe even a tawny frogmouth or quenda. There are signs with local history, and the whole area is really well looked after. A hidden gem right in the middle of suburbia — perfect for a relaxing walk and a breath of fresh air.

Beautiful ! With many paths for different distances, and beautiful native flowers 🌻, it is definitely worth going ! But be warned , Google Maps will send you to the opposite side of the park to the proper entrance, so I recommend putting "Henderson Environmental Centre" as your destination. As not only is this the same location as the proper entrance, but also has a lovely free car park and a oval where dogs can play 😊😄🐶🐕‍🦺🐕🐩🐾🦴

The highlight here is undoubtedly their iconic whole chicken and burger meal box, which comes with fantastic deals that make dining even more enjoyable.
I ordered the pulled chicken bowl and it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were well-balanced, the chicken was tender and juicy, and the portion size was perfect. Great value for money and excellent service—highly recommend this place!

Absolutely does my head in when I drive 20 mins to go get Oporto’s and I ask for no lettuce and they repeat it to me on the speaker no lettuce and then when I get to the window to pay and collect I ask them again no lettuce yeah and the Indian bloke looks at me like don’t ask me again I’m not a dumb carnt than I drive 20 mins home open my burger and it has lettuce it’s absolutely ridiculous because you chose to work in customer service no one forced you and no I can’t eat my burger because I absolutely hate lettuce and everything lettuce touches

This Oporto joint is one of the best places to have a dinner or lunch in the vicinity of balcatta region, I always love Oporto and their chicken is a cracker in all categories but this place hits different with their iconic and freshly made whole chicken and burger meal box, always have deals. Double bondi burger with chips and extremo picante sauce is a ripper anytime. Clean and tidy place to have a good dinner time with family. Staff are always friendly and accommodating.

Great service, always fresh chips and the right amount of salt, tenders always cooked to perfection, salads always fresh and crunchy on the wraps, cans of Pepsi max always ice cold. Thank you I appreciate the consistent good service highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience start to finish! Every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was impeccable- attentive, friendly and efficient. A must- try!

Unfortunately, my experience at Oporto Balcatta was disappointing. The food quality was below expectations — not fresh and lacking in flavor. On top of that, I had to wait 45 minutes for my order, which is far too long for fast food. Definitely needs improvement in both kitchen speed and food quality.

Excellent service by manager and food was fresh and tasty. We will surely come back. Thanks for excellent experience.

First time trying Opporto. Ordered a whole chicken meal. Chips and pita was ok but the Chilli chicken was very dry and flavourless. Was amazed that the food was ready in 5 min, but explains why the chicken didnt taste freshly made. Will stick to Nandos.

Great casual bistro dining for a nice mid week meal. Extensive menu with lots of variety to suit all taste buds. I had the Lamb Cottoleta with pumpkin mash and salad, my daughter and mum had the Nasi/Me Goreng which was very authentic. Attentive service and nice casual atmosphere. Was glad we found walk in mid week but I’d say you’d need to book for weekend meals as it was full when we departed at 6:45. Will visit again!

First time eating here and it was a great experience. Service was very good and efficient. Food was plentiful, tasty and well presented. The menu was extensive. So many delicious dishes to choose from. I had the chicken parmi which was excellent and hubby had the steak sandwich. He thoroughly enjoyed it. I finished off with sticky toffee pudding which was amazing. Ben our server was chatty and happy to help us with our choices. Great work and we will definitely be back 👍

Great venue for family occasions. Meals are very well priced and servings are huge and they don’t mind if you ask to take leftovers home and they will happily provide free containers. The food is delicious and I highly recommend the seafood paella or the black linguine prawn pasta. Greg and the staff are friendly, helpful and attentive and the meals are quick to the table even when you have a large dining party. You can combine the group bill or pay separately per diner. Bookings are easy online, where you can also view the menus and prices.

Went here a couple of times recently for their Sunday roast special. We all liked our meals. Wife had the ribs. Dad had the roast lamb and I had noodles. Large quantities. Place does get full on a Sunday so you should book ahead.

A few of us went for Saturday night dinner here with a mixed bag of opinions. I had sirloin steak with creamy garlic sauce which was a good sized serve and yum and chips which were more like wedges which was delicious. Daughter had her favourite chicken parmy a huge serve of chips and side salad which she said was tasty but cousin didn't like her parmy which was mostly because of the ham on it. Friend had the beef curry which she said tasted great but there was not enough of the actual beef for her. Had the steaks and chicken parmigiana again also fish and chips and everything was nice again. Service is great with friendly people.

Tropico is a delightful gem nestled just a short stroll from the stunning northern beaches of Perth, located in the charming suburb of North Beach. With its inviting coastal Californian decor infused with urban touches, this eatery creates an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and vibrant. The menu boasts an impressive array of dishes, from mouthwatering sliders to unique breakfast options like pumpkin waffles and salmon croquettes.
We had a great lunch here. Staff are lovely and service was fast. Can get quite busy but worth waiting for a table if you have to. Very casual and welcoming

Nice little spot, very friendly wait persons. Great variety for the breakfast menu.. different from the boring usual things. The waffles with pumpkin was a blast. The salmon croquet with crispy sweet potato went down like a treat. The shakes were also impressive. Overall a very pleasant experience.

The waitress that served us was absolutely lovely. We were having a good time until the pint came out half full. We got the avo on toast which is what it was. I got the pumpkin salad it was hard to choose something on the menu because there wasn't really anything I wanted. The salad was ok but nothing special. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.
Konni S — Google review
Lovely atmosphere, food was good. Service could do some improvements. Enjoyed the coffee and definitely coming back for it again.
Eddy E — Google review
Maybe I expected to much of them as I ve been following them on social media for a while but this morning breakfast was not what I was expecting. Service was on point (cute French guy and nice waitresses) but food was disappointing on my end. Got the pancakes that "everyone" seem to be talking about. Well they were too dry (good thing I asked for a side of maple syrup) and they were quite plain. Mascarpone wasn't really nice and I couldn't really taste the berry compote inside. They do look good but that's about it in my opinion. I had a stomach ache all day following that meal. Very very disappointed ...

We've been here twice, years apart, and both times it's been a great experience. This time we had three kids with us and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfy and they were entertained. They have a huge selection of games and colouring books for the kids, which was a huge hit. The food and coffee were also fantastic. Large servings and delicious. The bullet coffee is well worth a try, not many places have it on their menu.

Love the food, love the design of the place (open and welcoming space) and prices are reasonable. Iced chocolate is ok. Staff service is good. A lovely restaurant near the beach.

Got the pancakes and they were quite good but i found them to be a little dry it definitely could have used more of the passionfruit sauce. Staff were lovely, very efficient and they make a wonderful hot chocolate.

Shop assistant was very helpful when I ordered a burger instead of kebab. She made me up a new one without complaint. Delicious Doner Kebab. Loaf of bread divine. I would highly recommend
Julie G — Google review
Kebabs are the best and the bread is perfect. Lovely people, good prices and generous servings. Love it. Oh and the chips are delicious!!
Abby F — Google review
Awesome little place!!! Got a couple of mixed kebabs that were hard to fault!! The pita was fresh as was filling. Bakery within store so I expect the pita made there. Bought a sourdough bread to take home... looking forward to that. Oh and got the honey and pistachio baklava!!! So fresh, not too sweet... perfect. Sorry no photos it disappeared too quick! Came back 6 months later and took photos… kebab was even better then first time. Baker showed us his artisan breads which were impressive. Then gave wife and I a sample of one his amazing nut slices, which we shared alongside another baklava. So good.
