Local mid-market mall (or up-market locally speaking) next to The Stanley hotel with a direct connection accessible by hotel guests only. Mall itself looks fairly new and / or recently updated. The mall has two levels with parking, there are quite a number of restaurants, mostly asian style cuisine or Chinese, to be specific. There is a pharmacy and hypermarket along with a number of stores that cater mostly to well to do locals and expats as well as tourists like myself.

Vision City Mega Mall in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea’s largest shopping complex, is a vibrant three-story hub covering 47,000 sqm. Opened in 2010, it houses over 100 stores, including RH Hypermarket, international fashion brands, local boutiques, and a cinema showing the latest films. The food court and restaurants like Dynasty and Hog’s Breath offer diverse dining, while amenities like ATMs, a pharmacy, and a post office add convenience. Security is tight with metal detectors and visible guards, creating a safe vibe, though petty theft and slow revolving doors can frustrate. Weekdays are less crowded, and parking is ample but fills up on weekends. Cleanliness varies, with newer wings feeling slicker. A must-visit for shopping and entertainment in POM, but don’t expect a world-class mall.

It was good , it connects to the Stanley Hotel , if you’re a business traveler and you forget something you can always find it there. A lot of food options too but I haven’t tried.

If you like average shopping malls in lawless metropolises, this is the place for you. Once you pass the metal detector at the door you can buy everything from a cappuccino to a bullet proof vest. There’s absolutely no vegetarian food and a surprising absence of pickpockets. I imagine those caught are summarily executed. Would go back again.

There is a smell (like a soiled baby diaper) in VC City Pharmacy & Jack's of PNG, which is located right above City Pharmacy, it's been there for a couple of years now, I wonder why building management hasn't checked the air vents, something either died there or the air filtration system has an issue. Otherwise the rest of the mall is fine.

Newer two-story mall in Port Moresby with a variety of stores and eateries. Many accept credit card or e-wallet payments. Not many (or any?) Western retailers. Technology stores, local crafts, beauty products, clothing, etc.

Papua New Guinea shopping at it's best. This modern shopping complex brings the best of this nation's culture mixed with South East Asian products. The product range is vast and well priced from sports gear to electronic goods. I would recommend the supermarket and food outlets as good value and an excellent range of items.

This is the best place to shop if you are new to Port Moresby. It is a mixed use mall with good parking space and a conducive environment. Guaranteed safety within the premises and a good place to hang out with friends and families.

The biggest shop in the Vision City Mall, carries a good variety of products. They have household items, groceries, kids toys, baby care, it's a one stop shop. Affordable for the most part. The security though treat their customers like everyone's a thief, dreadful for any parent carrying their baby's necessities in a tiny bag.

The Vision City (VC) Hypermarket has shopping malls, restaurants, tech shops, clothing shops, barber shop, food courts, homeware items, gaming lounge, cafe, cinema and club. It has car parking spaces and taxi pick up / drop off available. Anyways yu yet kam na lukim.

This is my personal favorite address in Port Moresby. When people say Papua New Guinea has over 800 tribes, each with its own distinct language, this museum is the living proof. Unfortunately, it’s poorly managed. For starters, visitors are often left guessing whether it’s even open. The sign outside says it opens on Sundays from 1–3 PM, but on many Sundays I’ve visited, it’s been closed during those hours. I understand PNG is a Christian country, which may explain the closures, but Sunday is often the only day families are free to visit! A Monday closure, like many museums around the world do would make more sense. I’ve heard that overseas visitors can sometimes arrange a private visit through their hotel when the museum is closed, though I haven’t confirmed this myself. Another issue is the lack of recent publications. The last known collaboration was over a decade ago. For a museum that only displays a small portion of its full collection, publishing research or catalogues would be a great way to preserve and share PNG’s cultural knowledge, especially considering the country’s most prestigious university (UPNG) has a dedicated anthropology and archaeology department. On my most recent visit, only half the museum was open. Entry was through the back door, tickets were inconsistently charged with no receipts, even parking was charged “per person”, not per car, again with no receipt. It all felt very opaque. The displays themselves need attention too. Some labels are inaccurate, for example, a bilum described as having seeds is clearly decorated with cowrie shells and other seashells. It is also unmistakably from the sepik region, but the origin isn’t mentioned on the label card. With PNG’s vast cultural richness, these details should be better provided. Other practical issues include broken air conditioning, understaffing, and a lack of supervision, parents often let young kids run around the artifacts unchecked. Despite all this, I love this museum. It’s a treasure trove of PNG’s cultural heritage and identity, and a rare space where so many of its diverse traditions are brought together under one roof. Not to be missed by any POM residents or visitors!!!

One of the most incredible places to visit in PNG. It provides so much historical and cultural context through artifacts, clothing, and art. There is so much to see and everything is well explained. It is free to enter, but do ask for donations. Note that the staff will sometimes close the museum if they have a meeting. Recommend getting there early in the day (right when it opens) to ensure one has time to see things.

They've renovated the place and it's more spacious and has more lighting now. Quite alot of artifacts from WWII, a whole room or corner dedicated to the history of the fuzzy wuzzy angels and the WWII relics. It had potteries, head dresses to other traditional weapons, tools, bilums etc on display. However, it would be nice to see a whole variety of artifacts or have a corner each decimated to the different regions that is the NGI, Momase, Southern and Highlands so locals and tourists alike can appreciate the vast variety of cultural artifacts and history from the different regions. All in all the experience was top tier, had a great time there. Would highly recommend visiting the Museum while in Pom and I'd rate the experience a 9/10 because PNG cultural heritage is rich and it only captures a fraction of that.

Probably the best museum I’ve ever been to. A simple but thorough collection of extremely well preserved and fascinating objects that represent the tapestry of Papua New Guinean culture. An absolute must if in Port Moresby - there isn’t much tourism completion in town!

This Place is a Glimpse of the country whole. Just a step inside and you can feel the vibrancy of the country's Richest culture and traditions boasting over 800+ tribes and cultures blending into one another. The friendly faces of the staff will have lost in the artefacts background and the practices each tribe has. This is one of the must go to location when in the country....

Best Burger in town. They have two outlets, One is in Waigani and the other is at Downtown. Value for money compare to their competitors. Decent waiting time for orders. Secure carpark plus parking space.

I recently tried the Kiwi Deluxe burger, and I have to say, it left a lot to be desired. The meat patty was disappointingly flat, dry, and lacking any seasoning to really bring it to life. On a brighter note, the fries were decent, providing a small redeeming quality to the meal!

The foods great. An easy 8 out 10 if you want great burgers and fries at a convenient price. The service is a bit slow. But I guess good food takes time. There isn't much seating. So its pretty much a pick and go. If you're catching a bus, that maybe a problem, because food may get cold, but if you come in your car, then you're set. Stop by and see for yourself.

Went to the Waigani branch today for lunch and was very very dissatisfied and disappointed in the burgers that I got, Thinking that it is associated with the MEAT HAUS a that they would serve FRESH meat patties! This is a more budget friendly place to shop, and it’s the best place to find Indian cooking ingredients and snacks. Prices are generally cheaper, but not always. They also make fresh coconut milk here, which is a nice touch! You’ll also find a wide range of local ingredients, such as cassava, sago, and occasionally even bamboo tubes and highland ferns for mumu. The downside is that the meat and seafood sections often give off unpleasant smells and don’t look and feel hygienic. However, for staples and pantry items, this place offers better value overall.

I was really disappointed with my experience here. The food was well below par – absolutely tasteless and lacking any flavor. It felt like little effort was put into seasoning or preparation.

This is the best place to splurge on the assortment of dimsums and dumplings for lunch. The variety of choices is so wide that you can not help but try almost all of them. I hope they serve their siomais with chili garlic oil in the future though. :)

The Dim Sum Breakfast on Sundays is definitely something I'd like to try out. Great food! The Dim Sum recipes are definitely a highlight of the place. Yam Basket is a must try! Interior is so spacious, 2 bars and a stage for functions.

A good place for Chinese-Malay dishes. Decent value for money and flavourful. It's Best to come here with a group to share meals. They have a great range of beef, pork and chicken dishes but offer a very limited seafood dish selection. Service is very fast and wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes.

I love the Singaporean Laksa. Service there was good however appetizer should be served first before any other dish ordered. Otherwise great service and amazing Asian, mainly Singaporean dishes.

A peaceful escape in the middle of Port Moresby! Great for seeing native wildlife like birds, reptiles, and cassowaries. Trails are easy to walk, and the staff are friendly. Perfect for a half-day visit with family or solo travelers.

Very nice Golf Club and friendly Staff and Members. The Course is long and challenging, although with no bunkers. Water on some of the holes, especially the lake/river at hole 15, 16 and 17. Crocodiles are said to be living in the lake.

Royal Port Moresby Golf Club has very good features. This includes a Driving Range, House wind, Putting Green, a Restaurant and even Pokies and Bar. It's the best place to hangout✌✌✌✌✌✌

We chose this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday. Parking is on the road in front of the store. There will be a person there to guide you, so we followed their instructions. There is a security guard in front of the store, so you can feel safe. The inside of the store was spacious and very stylish. Once you've received a menu, you order at the counter. I order a break fast burrito wrap and flat white. It took about 10 minutes for it to be served. The most important thing is the taste... I loved it. It was a lot of scrambled egg and bacon and cheese…. The green sauce was basil flavored. The portions were just right. Also flat white was super good. It was a little bit bitter but coffee aroma was good. I will come here again.

One can easily get discouraged by the fact that you have to park on the roadside and then walk in. But then, everything changes. The setting is simply beautiful. The toasted, chicken sandwich was filling. And of course, coffee, coffee, coffee . . . why i decided to try out this place - truly PNGean flavour.

One of the nicest cafes in Port Moresby that offers delicious coffee and great breakfast. While it is on the pricier side, they have good quality food, very friendly and attentive staff, and lots of seating (with AC). I would highly recommend stopping by to taste the coffee at least!

One of the better cafes in Port Moresby that has a good atmosphere, very clean & good for meetings, but the food was terrible. We ordered Katsu Sando (mehh), bolognese (3/5 quite sweet), and chicken schnitzel (so dry & feels like you’re eating cardboard). For the serving portions & taste, the food is way overpriced. The facilities are very poor, with most vendors sitting and selling off the ground. The walkways also need some improvement, with visitors having to negotiate through scattered watery pathways. Other than that, the quality of the produce is good and on par with that offered by Gordon's market vendors.

Safe and secure produce market. Prices are affordable but a bit more costly compared to Gordon's produce market. Moreover, the produce and garden goods that the mothers sell are in great condition and are fresh. Usually, unsafe in the early hours of the morning and in the late afternoons. It's open and friendly but the surrounding can be very dusty and humid during the sunny dry season, that Port Moresby offers. Moreover, the elephant in the room at the Boroko local market is that the locals of the land of Port Moresby and of the near communities of Central province and NCD are not properly housed to preserve and sell there produce. They are not respected and are abused and bullied by the outside settlers of other provinces oftenly.

Boroko Market is a City market and the produces are brought from the fringes of the City and sold there. It has variety of fresh and organic produce from garden foods to fresh meats. It's very affordable and reliable. Spaces parking lot and friendly sellers that will greet you with a warmth smile as you enter the market. Very trustworthy and reliable 💯😄👏

Extremely Disappointed with My Experience at Buffalo Burger I recently visited Buffalo Burger in Port Moresby on January 2, 2025, and had a deeply troubling experience that I feel compelled to share. While eating my breakfast wrap, I discovered a tooth inside my meal. This was not just an accident—it was a serious breach of food safety, and I immediately brought it to the attention of the staff. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, the management failed to offer a proper apology, replacement meal, or even a refund. Instead, they simply collected the tooth and handed me a form to fill out. The lack of accountability and customer care was shocking. What followed was even more alarming. Instead of addressing the incident with professionalism, the company began threatening me with legal action and intimidation. I was contacted numerous times through emails and phone calls, where I was accused of defamation and false reporting, despite providing clear evidence of the incident. The situation escalated further when I was contacted repeatedly—despite my request for all communication to go through me directly—leading to emotional distress for my family, especially as we were in the midst of a mourning period. It is deeply concerning that a business would attempt to silence a customer who is simply sharing their truth. This type of bullying behavior, combined with a clear lack of food safety standards, has been extremely disappointing. I strongly advise anyone considering dining at Buffalo Burger to think twice. I would also encourage the management to focus on improving both their food safety practices and customer service, and to act with integrity and professionalism in their dealings with customers. I will continue to seek justice for this incident, and I hope that this review serves as a reminder of the importance of transparency and respect for all customers.

The location is convenient to many people who reside in the Northern suburbs of Port Moresby. The quality of food is decent and the staff are polite and friendly. There are dine-in and takeaway options, and parking is almost always available.

PEA PIE POD: Had the chicken mushroom pie.. not great. Mash potatoes, I think they are using instant, didn't look like fresh potato mash. Green mint peas looked brownish green.. smelled off. Took 3 bites only..yeah couldn't eat it. Packaging is good though.

Popped into this little burger joint in town for the first time today. The customer service was decent overall—quick and efficient—but a simple smile from the staff would’ve made it feel a lot more welcoming. The counter attendant in particular could use a bit more energy. I ordered the Dirty Burger, which came with a side of fries. The bun was soft and fresh, the patty cooked well-done with just the right amount of seasoning. The fries were hot and fresh too, which was a nice touch. Wait time was reasonable at around 10 minutes. Overall, I enjoyed my first meal here and would recommend it to fellow burger lovers looking for a solid bite in town.

Simple great tasting burger and fry’s, comes quickly and a great place to sit outside undercover to eat your tasting food. There are no bells and whistles and the food does all the talking would highly recommend!

Definitely going back there again! Lovely service! Food is awesome, surprisingly quick. Definitely try the Dirty Burger if it's your first time.

They were open on a Public Holiday. Service was fast and staff were friendly. We had the Dirty Burger and Texmex tacos.

A quaint establishment at the ground floor of the Ela Beach tower building. Friendly sales staff and the food service was fast which is excellent for those needing to grab a quick bite. The food was incredible, especially the burger buns ✌🏾 Definitely recommend The Dirty Kitchen for anyone needing a burger fix.

Ang's is an institution in Port Moresby. Wonderful food & wonderful people. Even though it's moved they've retained many of the staff but not the chef. Even with a new chef I'm pleased to say the quality & taste of the food is just as good as it was before. As noted by another reviewer the new location has plenty of off-street, secure parking. Someone also commented on staff being less than excellent, even rude. I'm inclined not to agree. Yes, they have their own style but they are good. I'm a regular diner and I don't have to order, the service staff know what I like & simply confirm with me if I want that or something else. PNG service can be challenging & the staff at Ang's are the best I've come across.

Best Kalamansi juice in Port Moresby. Excellent char kway teow and the roasted duck is not to be missed.

The dried chili beef is pleasantly spicy, without tongue numbing shichuan pepper. This dish, along with their pork ribs are my favourite at Ang's.

One of a few places in Port Moresby for Peking Duck. Nice and clean place, located near the Brian Bell Plaza at Gordons.
